00:00:28.960Welcome to The Megyn Kelly Show. We have something a bit different for you today.
00:00:32.440It's been something I've been wanting to do all summer. So hopefully, like me, you had a few
00:00:40.320extra hours on your hands this summer, although I was very busy, but I did manage to find some
00:00:46.120downtime. And I don't know, when I'm in my downtime and I'm watching a TV show,
00:00:52.960I don't really want to watch news-related dramas. I'm not really that into, you know,
00:00:58.120I don't watch, like, The Morning Show or any of that nonsense, but I do enjoy true crime, as you know, and I like medical dramas as a rule.
00:01:07.600There haven't been many of them out there that have been, like, really great in a long time, but I loved the show House.
00:09:11.080So the problem is you could leave your kid in front of the TV like our parents did to us in the 70s,
00:09:17.180but your kid is going to get indoctrinated with liberal bias if you don't keep a close eye on him.
00:09:22.140You know, just ask the parents who have had to deal with the Disney problem for the past 10 years.
00:09:26.440But you wouldn't necessarily think in a medical drama.
00:09:29.240There you'd think, oh, you know, I'm in danger of showing my kids something really gross and possibly disturbing about life, death, injury, etc.
00:09:48.920OK, so this is so there's that issue that like we get exposed to left wing politics and messaging as virtuous at every turn in our lives.
00:09:57.700It's a miracle there are any conservatives left. Truly, it's incredible that there are still people voting Republican and actually making Republicans win at as we know, at least in 2024, most recently.
00:10:10.800It's incredible, given the amount of programming meant to turn people into good little left-wing ideologues.
00:10:35.640They're almost universally bad or backwards or deeply flawed.
00:10:40.100So we'll talk about that in a minute. But here you're going to see the young white doctor, the male doctor, he's a med student, I think, and then he graduates later, get very, very confused about Joyce, who is a black woman coming in on the gurney.
00:10:58.680and enter a brown-skinned woman who is, she is Indian, to save the day.
00:11:09.480Her name is Dr. Samira Mohan, and she is the compassionate third-year resident who saves the day.
00:18:07.520I mean, I think they're going to be really confused when the guy comes in with testicular cancer sometime in the future and they look at the chart and see that.
00:18:17.720What do you mean? This is this is a woman named Tasha.
00:18:22.040How does she have testicular cancer like this is so this is actually happening.
00:18:26.880This actually would be farcical if it weren't actually happening in our medical communities, but they don't mean it as a social commentary condemning the woke behavior of young doctors in training.
00:18:39.900They're celebrating her and this insane decision, and this should be condemned because this actually does take place, and it's very, very dangerous.
00:18:48.460And I've heard this from my own doctors directly that this is happening now, that they will shame residents on rounds if they even ask the patient about their biological sex.
00:24:12.240This really should be between the strange doctor who she's never met before now and the hospital that is willing to lie about the age of her baby so that she can get the easiest, simplest abortion possible.
00:24:23.320Oh, notwithstanding the potential complications to the mother and the baby.
00:24:26.860And we can all just move along happily with our lives.
00:24:30.160So, yeah, secrets and knowing glances between the empathetic black doctor and the tortured white teen with the evil white mother scowling and trying to ruin the party by keeping the baby alive over on screen right.
00:24:48.800Then the mother escalates her interference and physically tries to stop the girl from taking the pill.
00:25:46.180There is a private conversation needed between the mother and daughter.
00:25:48.680However, also, we needed actual medicine practiced when you, Dr. Rabinovich, that's Noah Wiley,
00:25:55.640stepped in earlier to lie about how old the baby was.
00:25:57.880That was his doing in scene one. The the the medical resident didn't want to do it. But once again, you have a hysterical mother, the mother who steps in to try to help her daughter to stop her from getting an abortion without the mother's knowledge, consult or permission is painted as some sort of a demon, like an hysteric who's angry and nasty.
00:26:21.280And it takes, you know, Dr. Rabinovich to calm things down and allow for a conversation so that we can obviously get to the fastest point of abortion possible, something he'd been pushing from the beginning.
00:26:34.880So you got it. The hysterical white mother who wants to stop the baby from being aborted is obviously evil and unregulated.
00:26:42.420She's emotionally unregulated. Everybody else is just sad. They're sad and they're empathetic and they're trying to do what's right.
00:26:50.320And if only we could control this evil, raging grandmother who's upset about the abortion of her grandchild.
00:26:58.580All right, now we get to the final scene involving this storyline.
00:27:03.360The daughter, Christy, first locks herself in the bathroom and then, well, let's watch it from there.
00:33:09.120And anybody who looks like us or believes like we do
00:33:12.840portrayed as a disgusting, hateful oaf.
00:33:17.640Our sponsor, the Electronic Payments Coalition,
00:33:20.500says Washington politicians are always getting in your wallet
00:33:23.980and that now they're messing with your credit card.
00:33:27.000They say your credit card and the security it offers are under attack
00:33:30.100and that Senators Dick Durbin and Roger Marshall want to change the nation's payment system
00:33:35.060to benefit corporate megastores like Walmart and Target at the expense of everyday Americans.
00:33:41.100Credit cards can keep your payments secure and provide rewards that families use and rely on
00:33:46.060to help make everyday purchases more affordable.
00:33:49.240The Electronic Payments Coalition says the Durbin-Marshall mandates
00:33:52.320would let corporate megastores cut corners on credit card processing,
00:33:55.720routing transactions over cheaper, untested networks with weaker security and fewer
00:34:00.840protections. Find out more at guardyourcard.com and consider telling Congress to guard your card.
00:34:07.880Ford has been lucky enough to spend more than a century with you.
00:34:11.760And if there's one thing we've witnessed, it's this. There's no can't in Canada. Ready, set, Ford.
00:34:25.720Before I get to like the most egregious stuff that I'm about to show you, I just want to take a little a little sojourn over here to show you how they deal with black people on the show.
00:34:37.540OK, already they're all heroes. The blacks and the browns are the heroes and the whites are the evils.
00:34:43.580But just a quick one. I've been talking about Dr. Heather Collins.
00:34:47.700She's the one who is like rolling the eyes with the 17-year-old about her evil mother and who, to her credit, did not want to change the age of the baby in that one chart.
00:34:59.560But here's just a quick one, how she gets referred to when a black woman comes into the hospital with her black son who is hurting.
00:35:09.980And this black doctor, Heather Collins, Dr. Heather Collins is their doctor.
00:35:15.560Hi. Look at this beautiful black queen. Are you our doctor?
00:35:21.240Thank you. Yes, I'm Dr. Heather Collins, and I take it this is Dylan.
00:35:26.460And I'm his mother, Tina. It's nice to meet you both.
00:35:30.800Beautiful black queen. Okay, great. Got it. I'm wondering how are they treating white guys
00:35:41.040in general um let's let's touch base and find out um season one episode 11 let's check in on this
00:35:49.780guy sat 68 all indicators are that you have been using opioids that would include pain medication
00:35:56.860like hydrocodone oxycodone i told them i don't do drugs wow are you lied to me i didn't lie i said
00:36:06.360i was giving you a morphine like drug that got rid of your cravings well you know what this is
00:36:12.220bullshit i mean you know i could sue all of the year i'm not some junkie on the street
00:36:18.040look look i'm i got a family i got a job i make good money i you know i return my shopping cards
00:36:25.100okay i pay my taxes that sound like a drug addict to you yes and he's even worse than some of the
00:36:31.880other scenes. So I couldn't help but notice the, I returned my shopping carts line. Okay. That's
00:36:39.400the thing. Like people talk about, are you a good person or bad person? But that is in particular
00:36:44.740over the past few years, a Matt Walsh thing. Like he has t-shirts that are made saying that.
00:36:52.060And I actually thought it was very clever. He was the first person from whom I heard it. And now I
00:36:56.260think of Matt Walsh every time I returned my shopping cart when I'm at the grocery store.
00:37:00.060I mean, I always do. But now I do it and I think of Matt Walsh. So I wonder I do wonder whether that's an express jab at Matt Walsh. I'm a good person. I return my shopping carts. Meanwhile, he's a raging opioid addict. And if you see him earlier in the episode, he's obnoxious. He's demanding the drugs.
00:37:19.280He's very pissed off at a different doctor, not Dr. Heather Collins, but Dr. Samira Mohan, the one who detected the sickle cell, who's an empathetic brown-skinned Indian doctor who didn't give him the drugs.
00:37:32.640She did the test to figure out whether he was addicted to the drugs.
00:37:36.700So you've got yet another brown female hero and white male dickhead who's calling them names, denying that he's a drug addict and talking about he's a good person because of his shopping carts.
00:37:52.880For several episodes of season one, there's a narrative that somebody has stolen an ambulance out of the ambulance bay in front of the hospital.
00:38:00.100And everyone's betting who it is and where it will be located when they finally found it.
00:38:04.540And finally, in episode six, we find out who stole the ambulance.
00:43:48.900they were the heroes of hill district a bunch of young black dudes saving lives every day
00:43:54.440why'd you quit i didn't i said he saw how successful it was took over the program
00:43:59.780trained new medics oh wait everything that willie and his friends did set the ems standard
00:44:06.580for the entire country it's so amazing they talk about how he's a hero this guy's a genuine
00:44:14.840American hero, Willie. And they created the first ambulance service, which led to the creation of
00:44:21.000911. It was all black people in Pittsburgh. By the way, this is a real thing. Fine. Fine to
00:44:25.600celebrate a little bit of black history, but no accident that they did. Trust me on that.
00:44:30.420You will not hear anything good about whites in any episode of The Pit. There is no white history
00:44:36.760to be celebrated. There are only white, foul-mouthed, racist bullies who are doofuses or molesting
00:44:43.200their children or stealing ambulances or insulting their co-workers or doing drugs while supposed to
00:44:53.080be helping people as doctors and then trying to get Hispanic women fired. That's what you're going
00:44:57.980to get about white men in America from the pit. And then we get, I'm going to save the worst one
00:45:04.520for last. Let's, while we're on the subject of the treatment of anybody from a minority class,
00:45:08.960All of whom are the doctors, as I point out, in this whole show.
00:45:12.760And by the way, even Dr. Rabinovich, who is Noah Wiley, even he has his fair share of blinders on when it comes to what is required of a decent human being in modern America.
00:45:27.560There's a thread of a woman who comes in with her teenage son who seems tortured and unhappy, and they begin to suspect that he might have, well, he does have a list of female names, and they begin to suspect that he might intend to use it as a shooter list, you know, a target list, and that he could be a school shooter.
00:45:47.760And the clueless white guy, Dr. Rabinovich, Noah Wiley at the head of the ER, doesn't realize that this list could potentially place the young women in danger.
00:45:58.200Because I guess all white men are absolute fucking idiots on this show.
00:46:02.740And he is pushing to not alert authorities and to not turn this kid in and to not let anybody know.
00:46:08.200and it takes the courageous white, yes, white, but female doctor under him to let authorities know
00:46:16.380this kid might be your guy because a school shooting, not a school, but a mass shooting
00:46:20.920does take place. And she's got to school him on how it's really not appropriate when you have a
00:46:25.340very depressed, very angry kid whose own mother thinks he might be a shooter. And he has a list
00:46:30.640of women named to not tell anybody. That's inappropriate, Dr. Rabinovich.
00:46:38.200Okay, but let's check back in on the race narratives and woke narratives happening with the patients, okay?
00:46:47.040We go to episode 11, where we see a gay couple.
00:46:53.020One is flamboyantly gay and white, one is gay and not as flamboyant and black.
00:46:58.120And their surrogate, who of course, who else would help a couple like this, but another beautiful black queen, their surrogate.
00:47:06.940And this is from, again, episode 11, Sot61.
00:52:55.280The entire theme of season one, one of them, is that the ER's waiting room is overrun,
00:53:00.900as it is pretty much everywhere on Earth.
00:53:02.760And in this scene, they have two women, both white because neither looks good, engage in an argument after one woman named Madison offers to put a mask on another woman, Wendy's coughing son.
00:53:24.040Wendy doesn't much like masks and a fight between Wendy and Madison ensues.
00:57:21.320So they've got to paint themselves as the bright ones and the victims.
00:57:24.860The one who got punched out was the liberal who wanted the mask worn against the evil,
00:57:29.680know-nothing, ugly, dumb conservatives, right? The racist guy in the plaid who said feels like
00:57:36.640home to the Hispanic kid. And now they're the equally unattractive, heavy, redheaded white lady
00:57:43.660who is using terms like Fauci zombie and yelling about math. It's just so insulting.
00:57:51.180But before we get too upset about all of this, we have to admit that net-net, it is a benefit to the people on our side of the aisle.
00:58:02.380Because what you get at the end of a lifetime of shows like this and news like CNN and papers like the New York Times, if you are anywhere in the middle or right of center, is smarter and better and more adept at arguing and making your point.
00:58:19.880because you've heard it challenged everywhere you go,
00:58:24.800wherever you live and look for your entire lifetime.
01:02:05.860rough handles, manhandles and roughs up the illegal that they're trying to arrest. And then
01:02:13.600the doctor steps in to try to stop it, but it's placed under arrest because ICE is heartless.
01:02:18.200They're a bunch of pigs and everybody in the ER so upset. The virtuous Indian doctor,
01:02:25.700medical student, she takes out her phone to film it all, you know, because she's one of those
01:02:30.460Witnesses, just like Renee Good, just an innocent bystander witness, didn't interject herself at all.
01:02:38.220And amazingly, Noah Wiley was reportedly upset about this episode when he first watched it or read the script because it was his co-producer who, seeing the script, asked to tone it down a bit and present a more balanced version.
01:02:59.080The report was that it was HBO who actually went to the producers and said, could you please tone it down a little?
01:03:07.760And executive producer John Wells negotiated the changes without Noah Wiley, allegedly, who said he only learned about the discussions afterward and that he was initially concerned.
01:03:19.320He's concerned about what you just saw.
01:03:26.860He wishes that they had consulted him on the edits, but he ultimately approved of the finished episode, saying the changes made it more restrained and effective.
