00:00:51.500 position that men should stay out of women's sports while they put the strong arm pressure

00:00:56.520 on her to reverse herself, while far-left activist and former soccer star, now just 0.96

00:01:01.880 unattractive wannabe Megan Rapinoe, says laws that protect women's sports are actually a gateway to 1.00

00:01:07.820 attacking women on other issues. What? Also, Democratic Michigan Senate candidate Haley 1.00

00:01:14.040 Stevens is speaking out about her viral sticking to them video and giving us some new Midwestern

00:03:14.260 ej welcome back how you doing that was such an offensive midwestern accent from you megan

00:03:20.860 i can't even begin well i am imitating this woman not midwesterners that's that's the problem for

00:03:30.540 her she's the offensive one my honestly literally one of my dearest friends in the world is from

00:03:36.120 detroit she still lives there and this is she's 50 plus years old she's lived her whole life there

00:03:41.800 she's got the hard a like i was you know she would say action she would say act action but not this

00:03:50.160 woman's this is an affectation by her and the reason we know that is because tape after tape

00:03:56.120 keeps coming out showing us that it's an affectation hold on i'm trying to find the

00:03:59.640 number i don't see it my team can find it um let's play the the the sound no the yeah the side by

00:04:05.220 side how she was before this is a brand new one that we found of her earlier versus how she is

00:04:10.060 now site intelligence judiciary are going to be taking up those matters um through hearings and

00:04:16.420 different investigations and those committees are going to do their work and i am laser focused on

00:04:22.160 my committees of jurisdiction i worked really hard to get on those committees for michigan and for my

00:04:27.320 constituents that you know who i sound like i sound like the people who i talk to in michigan

00:04:32.740 who are getting screwed right now by down okay and i'm telling you i'm at the fish fry in detroit

00:04:39.860 it's a joyous day and the gals two minutes into the conversation what are we going to do about

00:04:45.840 our utility bill yeah and so i sound like the people who i'm trying to fight for and i can't

00:04:51.580 campaign right now because i'm in a government building but i am fighting for michigan

00:04:55.920 fighting what happened emily i don't know i was talking to a friend about this last night and i

00:05:02.120 was like we call this the reverse joshinsky because when i moved uh to the east coast it

00:05:07.720 just went away naturally kind of my my wisconsin accent just kind of went away and i don't really

00:05:12.900 do it that often you slip into it every once in a while but her turn she has been in washington

00:05:18.400 her accent has changed since she's been in washington it's incredible the mystery of what

00:05:24.020 happened to hayley stevens boggles the mind i'm completely obsessed with her candidacy right now

00:05:30.220 because she keeps saying hilarious things like remember the time she said that israel comes to

00:05:34.700 her in her dreams. I don't even know what it means. In that clip, the TMZ clip that you just

00:05:40.220 played, she said that her friend Tracy can't afford meat. What? Wait, we have a longer.

00:05:46.900 Wait, stand by. This is so TMZ caught up with her in Washington. And here's this is her trying to

00:05:52.660 tell us that this just is just her. Yeah, this I'm authentically Michigan. That's that's why I

00:05:57.620 sound like this. Notwithstanding what we just played to you was her sounding very normal just

00:06:02.060 a couple of years ago, 2019 was the earlier version where she, she had a little Midwestern 0.55

00:06:07.080 accent. It was, it was there, but it wasn't pronounced. It certainly wasn't anything that

00:06:10.820 would make a news headline. And here she is trying to like, I'm just a Michigander to TMZ

00:06:18.060 yesterday. Can I applaud you just for something? Honestly, you're going to make fun of me on the

00:06:23.020 internet. No, honestly the opposite. Cause I saw that video, which was legendary. I think it's

00:06:30.120 wildly considered like a legendary video but you know what I saw that you did you took it and then

00:06:34.600 we're like you know I'm gonna lean into it and I'm gonna make it a campaign ad so tell me through

00:06:38.360 that process I am authentically Michigan that's the deal and look this internet it's been

00:06:44.900 I don't know it gets wild we all know that you know who I sound like I sound like the people

00:06:51.700 who I talk to in Michigan who are getting screwed right now by Donald Trump not into trying to get

00:06:58.240 on the podcasts and the major shows i am writing bills and i am helping people that's what i'm all

00:07:04.800 up to and your viewers who are tuning in join us you know get involved you know come to a place

00:07:10.220 you made it onto the podcast you did it again i didn't have anything about her friend but 0.96

00:07:20.040 she is a sophisticated politician and you can see that in the old club i mean maybe she's not

00:07:26.560 a sophisticated politician, but this is all to say, like, the woman has been in Washington. 0.99

00:07:30.600 She's fairly cosmopolitan. It makes zero sense. Like, I believe she had positions

00:07:35.260 under Obama. Like, it just makes zero sense that she suddenly has rediscovered her Michigan accent

00:07:41.260 while moving away from Michigan, at least part-time, to be in elite political circles. She has a huge,

00:07:49.940 she has tons of cash behind her. She's been in politics for a long time. It is just an 1.00

00:07:54.760 absolutely ridiculous act that if she beats Abdul El-Sayed will bite her in the ass in this 0.99

00:07:59.900 crucial Michigan Senate race for Democrats if she's nominated, because that juxtaposition you 0.99

00:08:04.420 just played is going to be an ad for Republicans. If she wins, I'm calling it now. They're going to

00:08:08.440 say something like, Haley Siemens sounds different. Right. It'll be on a silver platter for them.

00:08:13.920 She's a fraud. She's a fake. She's a phony. Let's play the first half of SOT 16 again, 1.00

00:08:19.520 the side by side. I want to hear the 2019 version again.

00:08:22.240 Your site, intelligence, judiciary are going to be taking up those matters through hearings and different investigations.

00:08:30.260 And those committees are going to do their work. And I am laser focused on my committees of jurisdiction.

00:08:35.420 I worked really hard to get on those committees for Michigan and for my constituents.

00:08:40.220 You know who I. It's amazing. It's not there.

00:08:44.380 Really, I worked really hard to get on. Now she'd be like, I worked really hard to get on the committees to help my constituents.

00:08:51.600 I mean, like, I don't it all happens way back here.

00:08:53.940 If you just move all of your discussion to like right in front of your epiglottis, you can sound exactly like Haley Stevens.

00:09:00.360 Right in front of your what?

00:09:02.820 Right in front of your epiglottis.

00:09:05.080 Of course.

00:09:05.400 The thing that hangs or the uvula, the uvula, the thing that hangs down in the back of your throat.

00:09:10.220 Then you can sound just like her if you move it way back here.

00:09:12.800 This is where she's talking and you have to have all heart A's.

00:09:15.980 But I don't find that attractive at all. 1.00

00:09:18.800 And nor do most Michiganders who don't sound like that. 1.00

00:09:22.420 I don't know who she's trying to sound like. 0.97

00:09:24.120 She's giving off a little Fargo vibe, you know, with her like she's got her ooze. 0.99

00:09:29.020 She's got her like soft ooze going. 0.98

00:09:30.740 I'm not sure what this woman is, but she's not what she would have us believe.

00:09:34.240 So what's really happening now? 1.00

00:09:36.520 Like the Democrat establishment is getting behind her because they don't want this El 0.75

00:09:40.860 Syed because he's more DSA, radical, progressive, doesn't like Israel. But she's going to be the 0.92

00:09:48.280 standard bearer for like the establishment types. Yeah, exactly. And that's who's lining up behind 1.00

00:09:52.160 her. And they're fighting really, really hard to beat Abdul Syed so hard, actually, that Mallory

00:09:56.160 McMorrow ended up dropping out of the race. Now, I don't believe McMorrow has offered an endorsement

00:10:00.640 of Haley Stevens, but that was clearly what was happening is that, you know, they're trying to

00:10:05.840 consolidate behind a candidate, just like they did in 2020 to consolidate behind Joe Biden when

00:10:11.300 Amy Klobuchar and Pete Buttigieg dropped out of the race, because they really, really desperately

00:10:15.340 do not want Abdul El-Sayed, A, to be the candidate, or B, to end up in the Senate. And I

00:10:22.080 think a lot of that does come down to Israel. You do see a lot of the money coming from pro-Israel

00:10:26.280 alignment. And Haley Stephens, I guess, has taken the money and run it right into the ground. 0.97

00:10:32.360 running maybe the weirdest campaign in the history of Michigan politics.

00:10:39.440 So, I mean, what, how do we think this is going to turn out?

00:10:43.060 It's really close. I would give El-Sayed the edge because there's a lot of energy.

00:10:48.300 She calls him Abdul, only Abdul.

00:10:49.920 Oh, right. Abdul. Barack Hussein Obama. That's what she's doing basically at this point.

00:10:54.280 Totally.

00:10:55.760 But there's a lot of energy behind his campaign. And in obviously primary elections,

00:11:02.360 that's a huge advantage because of turnout. I mean, he has a ton of momentum with grassroots

00:11:07.660 voters in Michigan. Michigan, obviously, famously has a large Muslim population that he has a lot

00:11:13.300 of inroads with for the state. It's a big deal to have that kind of momentum on your side,

00:11:20.080 especially in a close primary election. So I would say that the odds are in his favor right

00:11:25.780 now. But boy, does she have a lot of money coming in behind her? I don't know that it's going to be 1.00

00:11:30.260 enough to put her over the edge, though, especially in the last weeks of these campaigns

00:11:33.820 as she's saying stuff like this. And you have the viral clips of 2019 Haley Stevens circulating.

00:11:40.420 Yes. So this primary is on August 4th. This happens relatively soon. So we are in the last

00:11:45.700 dash efforts to shore up the Michigan vote. Meanwhile, like the larger problem within

00:11:51.820 the Democrat Party of like these really radical DSA types who are, you know, they're not just

00:11:57.980 like the Democrat Party's anti-Israel. I'm not sure why they're divided on that. She's

00:12:01.980 she's like an outlier. But like the Democrats hate Israel. They hate Israel way more than

00:12:07.580 Republicans or even independents who are right behind them. They're over Israel. They've had 0.76

00:12:11.940 it with Israel's, you know, foreign policy adventurism and get us getting dragged in there.

00:12:16.060 But like the Democrat leaders aren't aren't totally there. Right. But like the Democrat 0.64

00:12:20.440 party is. But anyway, so the DSA, though, is controversial for far more reasons than that.

00:12:28.160 They want to get rid of the U.S. Senate. They want to get rid of the Supreme Court. They want

00:12:31.360 to get rid of prisons. They want to get rid of cops. Don't forget borders. Borders. Yeah. Like 0.73

00:12:37.280 it's just open season on Americans, basically. And that led in part to what Van Jones made headlines

00:12:42.640 over the past week for saying he tweeted about it and then he doubled down on CNN. Here he is

00:12:47.100 the other day. This is Monday, it's not 19. This stuff is going too far. I am a progressive

00:12:53.700 Democrat. You want to talk about prison reform? I've done it as well as anybody, Republican

00:12:59.060 Democrats in the South with Trump. I've done prison reform. I never said, have no prisons.

00:13:04.680 Where are you going to put the Klan? I've done police reform. I never said, no police. Where

00:13:08.700 are you going to put the pedophiles? Who's going to grab the pedophiles? This stuff is going too

00:13:12.220 far. And part of the thing that has to happen is we saw what happened in the Republican Party.

00:13:16.480 when things started going in a nutty direction and nobody stood up.

00:13:20.840 I am happy that the young people are fighting for affordability,

00:13:24.480 Medicare for all, all the good things.

00:13:27.080 I've been waiting my whole life to see a youth movement do what it's doing.

00:13:30.240 But it's being hijacked by people who are putting in nutty ideas,

00:13:34.320 supporting terrorists, nutty ideas saying that we don't need cops in prison. 0.70

00:13:38.120 We can't deport anybody even if they rape somebody. 0.82

00:13:40.920 Who said this? Chevalier.

00:13:42.280 yeah she's one of the new york dsa candidates endorsed by mom donnie uh who won so i mean he's

00:13:50.580 not wrong emily that there is a true radicalism happening now within a strain of the of the

00:13:55.820 democrat party and they are going to have to deal with this for all these primaries and come the

00:14:01.520 midterms and going forward what what is he what strain of the republican party went completely

00:14:07.140 bonkers that and no one stood up. Like I don't the Republican Party has been divided for a long,

00:14:12.400 long time. Just pick the issue on which they've divided themselves. The latest happens to be

00:14:17.060 around Israel or just war hawkishness. But I'm not sure exactly what he's referring to there.

00:14:21.920 But his problem does have his party does have a serious problem right now. He's not wrong.

00:14:25.540 Democrats structurally, I think, have had more control over their grassroots. I think that's

00:14:29.980 how they were able to, like, squelch Bernie's run in 2016 and 2020. But they didn't squelch

00:14:35.300 the momentum. And so in some ways, I wonder if they're just a bit behind what Trump was able to

00:14:40.120 pull off in 2016 when the old guard of the Republican Party tried every avenue to shut

00:14:45.100 him down. But because he's Donald Trump, he's a singular political figure, they just could not

00:14:48.740 pull it off. And I don't know what happens to the Republican Party after Donald Trump, but

00:14:52.900 I think I know what happens to the future of populism in the next 10, 20 years, which is that

00:14:58.080 it's actually not going anywhere. It's rising on the left. It's here to stay on the right. And

00:15:04.280 what that means is these policy conversations are, in a lot of the primary battles, secondary

00:15:09.720 issues. Ryan Grimm and I interviewed a DSA-aligned candidate up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan

00:15:15.800 yesterday who said there's one thing worse than being called a socialist in the UP, and it's being

00:15:20.860 called a Democrat, because trust in Democrats among Democratic voters, trust in the party,

00:15:25.840 is really, really low right now. And so that's where they get into this trouble with the policy

00:15:31.160 questions like Abdul al-Sayed coming out and saying he never supported defunding the police

00:15:36.260 when he clearly said that he supported defunding the police. That's been a problem for him,

00:15:40.820 but it doesn't seem to be affecting his primary chances right now because so many Democratic

00:15:47.300 voters just want the middle finger to the establishment and then they'll sort out the

00:15:51.380 policy questions later. We saw a similar thing with Trump voters. That's not to say Trump voters

00:15:56.180 were not casting ballots on policy. It is to say for some people, what was more important than

00:16:01.500 policy was the middle finger to the Republican Party and to the political establishment. And so

00:16:06.460 that's their problem right now is that the people who are giving the middle finger to the

00:16:10.180 establishment come from a politically very difficult ideological agenda to pull off then

00:16:17.360 when you get into general election battles, because also a lot of it was forged in the

00:16:22.040 like woke cauldron of 2020. We saw Brandon Gill questioning the head of the National American

00:16:26.900 History Museum on the white supremacy toolkit they put out. I mean, it was just so clear. It's

00:16:32.540 so clarifying for him to be like, do you, are you polite? Do you believe that politeness is

00:16:37.100 white supremacy? Do you then believe you're a white supremacist? And now they're facing these

00:16:40.820 questions. Mom, Donnie pulled it off because he was facing a terrible candidate. But when you're

00:16:45.500 juxtaposed with a better candidate, maybe it's Mike Rogers in Michigan versus Abdul El-Sayed,

00:16:49.620 that's really difficult. I completely agree. And we're going to play some Brandon Gill in a minute,

00:16:55.340 but the Democrats are having an interesting fracturing and they're, they're doing it at

00:17:00.400 their own peril because you're right. The populism that we've seen arise on the right in the form of

00:17:05.660 Trump. Now, you know, you could have a debate about whether he's delivered on that populist

00:17:10.500 message that he ran on. But in any event, it's, it's happening on the left, like just dissatisfaction

00:17:16.700 with the established party and the leaders like they are not pro Chuck Schumer at all over in the

00:17:23.300 Democrat Party right now or their old party leaders. So you would think this would be a

00:17:27.160 great time for something else to rise like a phoenix from those ashes. But what's rising

00:17:31.300 is something truly fucking crazy. Like I'm all for populism, Emily. Like, OK, great. You want 0.98

00:17:37.180 to be whatever. You don't want the APAC influence in the Democrat Party. I get it. And you don't

00:17:42.700 want like all these elites judging or determining where we're going. And you want more populist

00:17:47.780 economic policy, their Medicare for all stuff. OK, I get it. I get it. But this is crazy stuff.

00:17:53.680 No more prisons, no more borders, no more Senate, no more Supreme Court. Like, come on,

00:17:59.580 just stop it. It's like they're they're making fools of themselves by embracing a party that 0.98

00:18:05.680 literally stands for that. It's in writing. Like, why? How did they go from let's be populist and 0.96

00:18:11.840 form a new type of party or an offshoot of the Democrats to, we're loons now. We're fucking 1.00

00:18:17.540 lunatics who only one teeny tiny faction of the population is likely to vote for. 1.00

00:18:22.380 Right. Yeah. And a lot of it is that you have the postmodern leftism that grew out of the academy

00:18:28.880 really during the 20th century has taken root. That's directly what we saw. And the public

00:18:34.880 rejected it after 2020. I know other things that we're talking about today include Sophie Cunningham

00:18:39.140 coming out against men and women's sports. Well, it was really hard to stake out a position against 1.00

00:18:43.800 that, as you did, Megan, when the kind of elite gatekeepers were shoving that down everybody's

00:18:51.060 throat. I mean, the Associated Press, I think it was in like 2017, when nobody even knew what a

00:18:55.600 preferred pronoun was, changed copy in papers across the country. Well, why is that? Because

00:19:00.660 the same people who are now aligned with the DSA-style candidates on cultural progressivism,

00:19:05.660 not just economic progressivism, but cultural progressivism, which does have its roots in

00:19:10.800 the Frankfurt School and these deep ideological intellectual trends, fundamentally took over

00:19:17.880 those circles. Charles Murray wrote a great book in 2012 about how we are coming apart. That was

00:19:21.980 the name of the book because concentration of extreme wealth in super zips was having these 0.93

00:19:28.980 massive cultural implications because people thought the same way and they dined the same

00:19:33.980 way. They watched the same things. They had all of these cultural preferences that were more in

00:19:37.700 sync with their bubbles and less in sync with class bubbles, whether it was in inner cities

00:19:42.440 or whether it was in rural areas. And that's kind of what Van Jones is getting at there. You can be

00:19:46.860 for prison abolition, but take that to the inner city and see how the conversation about defund

00:19:52.760 the police goes when you're talking to voters who are actually in financially vulnerable positions

00:20:00.140 in the inner city or in rural areas like it's a class bubble fundamentally and they haven't

00:20:04.900 figured out a way to break free from that on the cultural issues if i were um a mainstream

00:20:12.380 republican i'd be feeling good about this development for the following reason i think

00:20:17.180 going into the next presidential election we're going to have a group like a candidate maybe even

00:20:24.140 a whole party that sees itself as the antidote to the current Republican Party and its coziness

00:20:32.540 with AIPAC and so on, like on the on the hawkish war issues, because Republicans are traditionally

00:20:38.020 very hawkish. They are like that's they're very pro national defense and a strong Pentagon. And

00:20:43.360 that's just kind of their thing. But the American appetite for knee jerk war is waning. I mean,

00:20:50.140 if it's not waned entirely in the wake of, you know, Afghanistan and Iraq. And so I think you're 0.78

00:20:56.080 going to have a candidate rise up if it's not. It might be J.D. who's a little bit more of that

00:21:00.120 wing, but I don't think so. I think he's probably not going to be that explicit because he wants to

00:21:05.560 keep the Trump base. You know, he wants to keep sort of the core MAGA, which is as a result of

00:21:09.680 Trump more hawkish. So anyway, I think there's a lane for a Joe Kent, Tulsi Gabbard, Tucker Carlson

00:21:16.320 type right there on as a Republican. And that candidate could potentially be very devastating

00:21:24.120 if they had support, crossover support from the left, you know, like Glenn Greenwald, you know,

00:21:32.120 would vote for such a candidate, I think way before he'd vote for another Chuck Schumer type

00:21:35.760 person. So but if if the Democrat Party is going to instead of splinter into something that's

00:21:42.860 more reasonable, if if slightly more socialist slash populist, it's going to go truly crazy,

00:21:50.180 then that Phoenix type candidate over here in the Republican lane is not going anywhere because

00:21:57.500 the party's not probably not going to nominate them. And then even if they did, they wouldn't

00:22:01.340 have enough support on the other side. So I just I think everybody's watching what's happening with

00:22:06.000 the splintering of the Democratic Party and how I think personally for the country, for the Dems,

00:22:09.960 for everybody, it's landing in a very unfortunate place where they they didn't have to go this

00:22:14.200 crazy. Emily, they just they could have stayed just slightly crazy. And maybe they're going to

00:22:20.140 win in New York City. I get it. They might win. I don't think they're going to win in Michigan,

00:22:23.520 but I could be wrong. I mean, the general they're not going to win on a nationwide scale because

00:22:28.700 they're too out there. Well, they desperately need to break out of that class bubble on things

00:22:32.640 like immigration and women's sports like women's sports is such a litmus test as to whether or not 0.99

00:22:37.660 you're lying or you're crazy. Or just, I mean, I shouldn't say crazy, but I should say like whether

00:22:43.080 or not you're radical, like truly ideologically radical. And if you can't pass that litmus test

00:22:47.960 for a lot of voters, the same thing goes for open borders. That is, and defund the police,

00:22:52.000 like those are big litmus tests on a class basis. And they're ones that we've seen, for example,

00:22:55.780 Seth Moulton after the 2024 election come out and say, we went too far. Gavin Newsom flirted

00:23:00.300 with the idea of us having gone too far. And they took it back. They walked it back on women's

00:23:04.900 sports very quickly after that happened, because they were rejected by staff in the party. They

00:23:10.860 were rejected by kind of the pundit class in the party. And so they've kind of tried to break out

00:23:16.240 on some of those things, but they haven't been able to. I think the dynamic you just laid out

00:23:19.440 is interesting from the conservative perspective. It's what Republicans here in Washington don't

00:23:24.960 yet understand. I think the Nikki Haley types are the ones licking their chops about the DSA,

00:23:30.380 thinking it's what's going to usher them back into the conservative mainstream and back into 1.00

00:23:35.680 power in the Republican Party. But this is a really crucial mistake that Republicans can make.

00:23:40.220 If you just call somebody a socialist, if you just call somebody a radical, that's not going

00:23:47.240 to land with the average voter right now in the way that it would before institutional trust

00:23:51.740 collapsed, unless you couple it with what you're going to do to smash the status quo. Because the

00:23:56.460 one thing everybody's unhappy with is the status quo. So if you just say this person is going to

00:24:00.760 change the status quo, they're a radical. People are going to say, OK, well, maybe I'd rather take

00:24:05.360 a bet on them than you. And that's what people don't understand. That guy, Troy Jackson,

00:24:10.220 who's now going to be the Democratic nominee in Maine, is like, hey, I was endorsed by the DSA.

00:24:14.420 I mean, he's he's touting it like he knows that he doesn't call himself DSA, but he's he's touting

00:24:19.740 it. I was saying to Paul Murray of Sky News Australia that that's that is that's the kind

00:24:24.080 of claim that's like you take the DSA to the dark bar at like 3 a.m. and then you go right to the

00:24:31.000 motel. You don't like parade the DSA around on your arm at the Oscars party like that is the

00:24:36.180 and you're only going to need the motel for an hour. You know, it's like I don't know what

00:24:39.060 this. We're in a whole new world where you're touting that like openly as an endorsement of

00:24:45.140 you that you're proud of in the Democrat or any other party. But that's that's where we are.

00:24:49.840 Okay, let's talk about Brandon Gelb since he is like MVP of the entire House. They had this, they had a couple hearings yesterday. One had, well, a couple witnesses there. One was the head of the Smithsonian and one was the head of the ABA. And he just did such a beautiful job on both of them.

00:25:06.360 Let's play a little montage of what happened when the head of the Smithsonian, which has

00:25:10.320 gone completely woke.

00:25:11.820 President Trump, to his credit, has gone in there saying, stop that.

00:25:15.080 You will not on the nation's dime offer exhibit after exhibit that just take a huge dump on

00:25:21.060 America.

00:25:21.680 You will reflect the rich, the richness and pride of the American history.

00:25:27.080 And I'm not telling you to get rid of our bad chapters, but they will not be the predominant

00:25:32.040 theme that people walk away with.

00:25:34.320 Right.

00:25:34.580 Totally, perfectly appropriate and on brand and as promised.

00:25:39.760 So Trump, check.

00:25:41.240 Campaign promise delivered.

00:25:43.200 The Smithsonian doesn't like that.

00:25:45.000 They've been pushing back.

00:25:46.500 They have a completely different agenda than he does.

00:25:48.720 And this woman, she had her hands full with Brandon Gill yesterday.

00:25:52.600 Watch.

00:25:52.840 As part of this white supremacy document that your organization has promoted,

00:25:58.400 objectivity as a core and defining aspect of white supremacy culture.

00:26:05.000 Do you think that it's the goal of the Smithsonian Institution

00:26:07.900 to promote white supremacy culture?

00:26:10.480 Sir, do you mind sharing with me which document?

00:26:13.560 White supremacy culture right here.

00:26:16.920 This is part of the Mass Action Toolkit

00:26:19.720 that your organization has promoted for several years now

00:26:22.180 under your leadership.

00:26:22.980 are you promoting a white supremacy culture at the smithsonian am i promoting a white

00:26:32.900 ma'am is this a difficult question no sir i'm just thinking about the mass action toolkit we

00:26:39.340 didn't develop it but um back to your question no we're not promoting any ideology does it

00:26:45.860 concern you that your goal is objectivity one of your goals is objectivity and your mass action

00:26:51.580 toolkit references objectivity as a defining characteristic of white supremacy culture?

00:26:57.760 It's not our toolkit.

00:26:59.220 It is your toolkit.

00:27:00.840 You've been promoting it for quite some time.

00:27:03.760 Is Mickey Mouse racist?

00:27:05.880 Mickey Mouse is not racist.

00:27:07.400 It's not racist.

00:27:08.280 According to the Smithsonian Institution, one of your exhibits referenced Mickey Mouse

00:27:14.620 is representing, quote, vestiges of longstanding traditions of blackface minstrelsy.

00:27:21.100 Would you describe that as racist? 0.70

00:27:22.720 No, the historical trajectory of the origins of Mickey Mouse tied directly to...

00:27:31.000 So Mickey Mouse is rooted in racism. Is that your testimony?

00:27:34.220 No, sir. It's rooted in minstrelsy.

00:27:36.160 Minstrelsy, you don't think the blackface minstrelsy is racist? 0.79

00:27:39.920 It had certain obvious racial overtones that have been well documented.

00:27:44.360 Do you think that that's problematic, that Mickey Mouse also has those racial overtones?

00:27:49.040 It's not for me to determine what's problematic, it's to determine to me what's accurate.

00:27:53.320 Is that right?

00:27:54.840 Yes.

00:27:55.040 Is it important to be polite?

00:27:57.540 Excuse me, sir?

00:27:58.260 Is it important to be polite?

00:28:00.640 Yes, sir.

00:28:02.240 It's also interesting because the same mass action toolkit that your organization has

00:28:07.340 been promoting references politeness as a defining characteristic of white supremacy

00:28:13.540 culture.

00:28:14.920 Ma'am, are you a white supremacist?

00:28:17.340 No, sir.

00:28:18.460 You're not, can you help me square why your organization says that being polite is part of being a white supremacist?

00:28:28.340 I'm not exactly familiar with that passage of the Mass Action Toolkit, which is not one that we developed.

00:28:33.720 I can show you the passages right here.

00:28:36.620 I don't, pardon me?

00:28:38.540 I said I just read you the passage from it.

00:28:41.660 And then your question was, sir?

00:28:43.820 We're going to move on.

00:28:44.800 okay that was anthea hardig and uh she's the director of the simpsonian and she was completely 0.96

00:28:53.960 dishonest and he had her on the ropes it was a thing of beauty she was in case you missed it

00:28:58.740 there suggesting that mickey mouse is racist because he has his roots in minstrelsy so she's 0.83

00:29:06.240 against mickey mouse and she's also against politeness or so her documents say because she 0.73

00:29:11.340 thinks that's a whiteness term that I guess whites are polite and blacks aren't. And if you think

00:29:17.300 blacks might be polite, you're a white supremacist. I'm not sure I follow her logic. But when cross 0.98

00:29:22.380 examined, of course, she tried to dodge and weave and take notes and look down and not make eye

00:29:27.660 contact because she was too ashamed to own and repeat that nonsense under oath in the halls of

00:29:34.460 Congress. Right. And again, like she can believe all of this stuff, but she was put at the head 0.98

00:29:40.460 of an institution that is in charge of, like, teaching our history to the country. It's

00:29:46.260 completely insane that somebody with totally radical, wacky beliefs like that was in such

00:29:51.120 a position of power. And actually, on After Party, I went through the Smithsonian report

00:29:56.320 page by page. It was probably a really boring segment, but the media was treating it in

00:30:00.200 a crazy, like, totally downplaying what they found and acting like Trump was trying to

00:30:05.540 steal history and to pervert American history and to take away all of the bad elements of American 0.84

00:30:12.180 history and whitewash it. And one of the, I think, instructive examples in the report is that it said,

00:30:17.380 if you're going to teach about Alexander Hamilton's shameful history regarding slavery,

00:30:21.940 why would you also not mention his history in abolition? Like, mention both of these things.

00:30:27.060 And it's, because this is what, Jasmine Crockett was at that hearing and was saying,

00:30:31.780 we need to teach the complications of history. We can't be whitewashing history. And it's like,

00:30:35.780 if you want to teach the complexities and the wrinkles of some of our historical figures,

00:30:39.380 that's literally what the document is telling you to do. That's exactly what the Trump

00:30:42.980 administration is saying you should do. Instead, they had wildly inappropriate stuff. That white

00:30:47.300 supremacy toolkit that Gil was questioning her on, that was on college campuses, things just

00:30:52.420 like that, saying politeness was an aspect of white supremacy. They said the Protestant work

00:30:57.620 ethic yeah it's insane it's so insulting to black americans and here you have a white leftist uh or 0.68

00:31:04.020 maybe like a white progressive in front of congress trying to defend it six years later 0.93

00:31:08.100 in the harsh daylight and it looks absurd and it's so like she should be disqualified from 1.00

00:31:15.140 everything and yet she'll probably still have some fire she was terrible horrible she should 0.99

00:31:19.540 be fired honestly we can't have this woman touching anything in the smithsonian obviously 0.99

00:31:23.940 she is far too ideological to have this job i mean it was she was she embarrassed herself

00:31:28.540 and and by the way it's like the not making eye contact and just like writing down your notes 0.82

00:31:34.400 it's such a sad little tactic and so obvious that you're just scared you're a p-word like 0.92

00:31:40.860 fucking own it or don't so but i just feel like you're embarrassing yourself and brandon gill 0.96

00:31:45.100 was right to call her out then okay so that was tuesday actually then comes wednesday when the 0.98

00:31:49.500 head of the aba this is a thing of beauty for me because honestly i've been watching this group

00:31:53.240 for years now, for years. And it's been so frustrating. They are completely captured.

00:31:58.260 They are they are like the AMA. The ABA is the American Bar Association. The AMA is the American

00:32:03.680 Medical Association. And they are both equally radical left. They do not represent lawyers and

00:32:10.200 doctors at writ large and speak for us writ large. It's a lie. They are far left progressives

00:32:17.580 masquerading as some, you know, fair and balanced trade organization in the middle representing,

00:32:22.580 you know, the group. And they don't. They don't. It's been very frustrating to watch. Same for the

00:32:26.020 American Academy of Pediatrics. So finally, it was wonderful to see this Michelle Benke get in

00:32:33.000 front of Congress and have to answer some of their questions. Jim Jordan did a great job.

00:32:37.580 So did Brandon Gill. Here's some of it. Watch. According to the ABA's website,

00:32:42.760 quote, all of us have implicit biases. Would you agree with that statement?

00:32:47.180 The ABA believes that diversity, equity, and inclusion improves the practice.

00:32:53.220 Would you agree with the statement that, quote, all of us have implicit biases from the ABA's website?

00:32:58.380 The ABA believes that diversity in all of its health is important.

00:33:01.840 Is that a yes? Can I take that? It's a yes or no question.

00:33:03.360 Do you believe that all of us have implicit biases, as your website says?

00:33:07.940 The ABA looks to remove barriers and we examine.

00:33:10.960 That's not my question, ma'am. Do you believe that all of us have implicit biases?

00:33:15.280 I've expressed what the ABA is doing.

00:33:18.700 That is the ABA's position, as expressed by their website.

00:33:24.040 Against which groups do you have implicit biases?

00:33:27.120 The ABA believes that it's important to always...

00:33:30.360 Are you going to filibuster? Because it doesn't make you sound very good.

00:33:33.640 I'm going to ask you again, against which groups do you have implicit biases?

00:33:37.760 It's important to always examine everyone's point of view and where they may need to consider.

00:33:45.480 It is. What about your point of view?

00:33:47.920 I am here as the president of the American Bar Association.

00:33:50.720 And I'm asking you what your implicit biases are.

00:33:53.720 The ABA as an entity.

00:33:54.860 Have you reflected on your implicit biases?

00:33:57.760 I think about how I operate in the world constantly.

00:34:01.400 Would you like to explain to us what they are?

00:34:03.960 I am here speaking on behalf of the ABA.

00:34:07.280 It's I find that disgusting. OK, we we had this in our New York City private schools right after George Floyd a palooza when the country lost its mind on race.

00:34:18.760 And the head of our our girls school sent out this email to everybody saying this school is racist.

00:34:26.960 I'm racist and we're going to have to revise our systems to address these implicit biases and so on.

00:34:33.260 And truly, I just want to respond with what did you do? What did you do?

00:34:37.280 but tell me what's in your heart you're racist why explain exactly what's in your heart that's

00:34:43.140 quite an admission tell me all like if you actually want to atone for your racism let me

00:34:49.780 hear it go on you instead what they want is this like fig leaf of i've acknowledged there's implicit

00:34:58.880 bias so i'm i'm absolved now you do it because it's really you it's you white conservative who

00:35:06.440 truly I'm speaking to, and not me or anybody on the left, and certainly not a black woman of color, 0.96

00:35:12.520 which Banky is. And the explicit construction of their ideology is that you cannot be reverse

00:35:20.400 racist because you have to be part of the oppressing class, not the oppressor, to have

00:35:26.700 these problems. And that's blood guilt, basically, by the way. But this is the argument that it's

00:35:32.200 it's structural racism that is baked in. And so, it doesn't go the other way around. It can only

00:35:36.780 go one way from the oppressor to the oppressed. Like, that is explicit in these arguments when

00:35:42.980 you read the actual text and dive down into them. And that's why she has trouble answering that

00:35:47.620 question, which is particularly disgusting and cynical because actually there's all kinds of

00:35:52.260 social science research. We're talking about, like, mainstream social science journals. You can find

00:35:56.900 some of this research on MIT's website. We were reading it on the wrap-up show yesterday that

00:36:00.380 shows Americans have become closer and closer to race neutrality. We're never going to get rid of

00:36:06.480 racism in the United States. But when you measure, by her own term, implicit biases

00:36:11.780 through social science, Americans over the same time period where we've had all of these big

00:36:16.820 conflagrations over Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin, George Floyd, have actually become

00:36:21.320 significantly less racist, which, by the way, is a remarkable world historic achievement that

00:36:25.420 in the United States, we have so many people from so many different backgrounds living so

00:36:29.600 closely together. And we have been able to stamp out bigotry to the level that we have. But because

00:36:36.140 of this foolishness, we end up in these like divisive media cycles. And they can't even answer

00:36:41.520 clear questions about it in the light of day because their ideology falls apart, is ridiculous, 0.99

00:36:46.340 and it's embarrassing. Well, the studies also show that the more you study your implicit biases,

00:36:53.860 the more racist you become that all the studies show that that asking somebody to examine that

00:37:01.000 ruminate on it ponder what what implicit biases do i have actually calls racism to the surface

00:37:08.760 it doesn't get rid of it it kind of creates it like geez are there differences between the races

00:37:14.840 what are they what have i seen about black people in the news lately what comes to mind after this

00:37:20.700 hour that you spend doing this kind of thing, you do not walk away less racist. You walk away more.

00:37:26.660 The normal person does not sit around thinking about racial differences or applying a racial

00:37:32.040 lens to every news item they hear, et cetera. They just they base their opinions based on their own

00:37:37.320 interactions with people and to make them sit down and like categorize people and ask, what does this

00:37:44.180 group do and what is this group like is not helpful. It's not helpful to race relations.

00:37:48.420 And study after study has shown that a little bit more from Brandon Gill here trying to ask about diversity and whether it should supply apply on the U.S. Supreme Court beyond the black women or the black justices who are on there.

00:38:04.460 Take a listen to that. Yeah.

00:38:06.000 Or wise Latinas. Here's that 24. 0.86

00:38:07.720 Right now, there's about about two of two of nine of Supreme Court justices are black.

00:38:13.460 That's about 22% of the Supreme Court.

00:38:16.660 According to your testimony, about 13% of America's population is black. 0.93

00:38:21.500 If the Supreme Court should roughly resemble America's demographic makeup, as the ABA states, is proper.

00:38:29.500 In your opinion, regardless of qualifications, should the Senate refuse to confirm a third black Supreme Court justice?

00:38:36.800 The ABA supports and encourages diversity in all of its forms.

00:38:42.240 That wasn't my question. My question was, if a Supreme Court vacancy opens up, should the Senate refuse to confirm a third black Supreme Court nominee based on his race or her race?

00:38:55.640 The ABA does not support quotas.

00:38:58.020 And so the ABA does support some sort of and we're going to hopefully we'll get into that.

00:39:03.660 How about an Asian? Would you would you like to see an Asian American on the Supreme Court?

00:39:09.120 Are you kidding me? They won't even let them into Harvard, never mind on the Supreme Court. 1.00

00:39:13.460 It's like these standards are absurd, Emily. She's she's a liar. She would not. She would 0.99

00:39:19.020 love to see another black woman or man, for that matter, as long as he was a lib,

00:39:23.060 make it onto the U.S. Supreme Court. She doesn't she doesn't actually care about representation 1.00

00:39:26.560 for any other group. I mean, the concentrated power that they had in our institutions is now

00:39:30.440 backfiring them in public because they're getting asked questions about it. And it reminds me of

00:39:35.080 like when I'm in my house trying to fix my bike and I think I'm doing a really good job because

00:39:40.880 nobody's there being like, no, that's not where you do it. Like that's, you're doing this all

00:39:45.700 wrong. And then I take it out on the road and it falls apart on me. Not speaking from experiences,

00:39:49.720 of course, never happened. But when you are not challenged, you do a really bad job. And that's

00:39:55.460 what was happening in faculty lounges for a long time is that they weren't being challenged on the

00:40:00.520 absurdities and the incoherences within their own arguments. First of all, because they created an

00:40:04.580 environment where by their own ideological standards it was racist sexist transphobic

00:40:09.200 whatever to ask questions like literally you can find from 10 years ago it's probably still

00:40:14.660 happening now people saying that like the socratic method is racist and even like pulling at these

00:40:20.340 threads was racist or white supremacist in and of itself and then when you don't do it at all

00:40:25.380 you take the bike out on the road and brandon gill is watching as it falls apart like he's

00:40:30.260 there to laugh at you, as he should be. You learn the hard way.

00:40:33.520 I wanted to read this quote from my friend Billy Gribben, who works for Mike Lee. He posted one of

00:40:37.700 these Gil clips, and he said, in all seriousness, a vital part of salting the earth and ensuring

00:40:42.100 that peak woke never returns is making, quote, serious people answer humiliating questions about

00:40:47.020 it that they never want to hear again. And I actually think this is a great point because

00:40:51.280 it stigmatizes the ridiculousness. Like, it should, at least. It might not in her fancy circles,

00:40:57.440 But with the public, it stigmatizes the absurdities.

00:41:01.180 So hopefully it's a disincentive from people.

00:41:03.280 And they must feel it.

00:41:04.180 Right.

00:41:05.160 Otherwise, they'd be much more fulsome in answering the questions. 1.00

00:41:08.160 Otherwise, they'd have this woman wouldn't be looking down over here at the Smithsonian 1.00

00:41:11.260 lady and trying to write a note as opposed to just answer it. 0.98

00:41:15.000 She'd be like, yeah, I do. 0.91

00:41:17.060 Yeah, I stand by it.

00:41:18.240 And these are my implicit biases.

00:41:20.100 The ABA woman, she would have said it openly. 0.99

00:41:23.260 And but no, they're running because they know how dumb they sound. 0.93

00:41:26.080 I got to play 24 back to the ABA president and Mr. Gill. 0.97

00:41:30.820 You think that it's a problem that the transgender community has never had representation on the U.S. Supreme Court?

00:41:36.840 The ABA believes in diversity, equity and inclusion.

00:41:40.560 And I'm asking you about diversity, equity and inclusion.

00:41:43.440 I'm asking you about inclusion of the transgender community.

00:41:47.200 We believe that people ought to bring their entire self to whatever role they're serving.

00:41:53.220 You're refusing to answer my question.

00:41:55.360 do you think that it's important that we have a transgender Supreme Court justice in order to

00:41:59.880 include that community? I believe that it is always important, the ABA believes that it is

00:42:04.840 always important to support and encourage diversity. So we should have a transgender

00:42:09.800 Supreme Court justice? Diversity has many forms and we believe that you think that you're not

00:42:16.060 answering in a straightforward way. Do you think that's because of your own implicit bias?

00:42:19.660 I believe that I'm trying to explain that the ABA does not set quotas and does not believe that you have implicit transphobia.

00:42:28.160 The ABA believes that diversity in all of its forms is important and helps the profession more globally.

00:42:35.500 Oh, my God. He's a master. He's so good.

00:42:38.380 But wait, we've got to give the honorable mention to Jim Jordan, whose question I have to say as a lawyer myself, I was like, thank God.

00:42:45.900 It was just so gratifying, so satisfying to hear somebody ask this question in this way with his facts.

00:42:54.220 God bless you, Jim Jordan.

00:42:55.860 SOT 21.

00:42:57.040 Third sentence of your written testimony.

00:42:59.200 You said that the American Bar Association is a nonpartisan organization.

00:43:05.260 Is that really true?

00:43:06.600 Yes, sir, it is.

00:43:07.680 Really?

00:43:08.440 Do you take any partisan positions as the American Bar Association?

00:43:12.440 The ABA takes position when our House of Delegates.

00:43:15.360 The association opposes any law that restricts abortion.

00:43:18.920 This came out after the Dobbs decision.

00:43:21.620 That's pretty partisan.

00:43:23.560 The American Bar Association opposes detention of individuals who are here illegally.

00:43:28.260 Any migrants who break our immigration laws, you oppose detention.

00:43:31.600 Those sound pretty partisan positions to me.

00:43:33.820 Would you agree?

00:43:34.840 The ABA takes positions by our House of Delegates, which is made up of 600 lawyers from across the country.

00:43:41.520 when we take positions we do so based on the information that we believe is how about how

00:43:47.320 about men and women's sports you have a position on that i don't have a list of all of our uh i'll

00:43:53.960 read from the american bar association adopted by the house of delegates august 9th 2021 resolution

00:44:00.380 the american bar association opposes any federal state local territorial tribal regulation or

00:44:05.720 policy that prohibits transgender students from participating in athletics in accordance with

00:44:10.740 their gender identity. Sounds like you're for men and women's sports to me. Yes, it's been so

00:44:17.060 frustrating. And yet still, when we get like a nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court, what do you

00:44:22.360 get? Well, the ABA deems this person qualified or not qualified. Who cares what they think?

00:44:28.140 They're a leftist organization. Might as well check in with Planned Parenthood or Code Pink

00:44:32.460 and see how they think. You know exactly what you're going to get. You know what their agenda

00:44:35.760 is. It's not explicitly stated, but it's been espoused in one way, shape, or form over the

00:44:41.480 years. And those of us who don't share these values are left to just bang our heads against

00:44:47.000 the table as they try to masquerade as some sort of independent, objective, fair, inclusive

00:44:54.300 trade group that represents us all. They really thought nobody else was going to,

00:45:00.020 they really thought that they had totally quashed the opposition to this. They really,

00:45:04.960 because they're in their bubbles. They really believed they had won over the public. They

00:45:08.660 believed the moral arc of history was long and it bent towards their version of justice, as Obama

00:45:13.200 liked to quote from MLK. And that's why I think they're now in these positions, because they did

00:45:19.880 not expect other people would take back the power and have the courage in some cases to push back.

00:45:26.080 It's courage that comes from the public. I mean, I don't think Republicans were eagerly pushing

00:45:29.760 back on all of this stuff probably as soon as they should have been. But the public has now

00:45:33.380 put the wind in their sails because the public rejected this when they believed, the left

00:45:38.220 believed, they had intimidated the public out of asking these questions or pushing the

00:45:41.880 representatives to ask these questions. And so now they're, this is their bed. They made their

00:45:46.440 bed. They have to lie in it because this is the circumstance that they created for themselves.

00:45:53.220 Rahm Emanuel was just asked about the trans issue in a very interesting exchange with David 0.99

00:45:59.400 Remnick of The New Yorker. And Rahm Emanuel was pretty explicit with me saying he does not want 0.96

00:46:05.980 to see men in women's sports and he doesn't believe a man can become a woman, which is crazy

00:46:11.360 stuff to say for a Democrat who's probably running for president. But it was wonderful to hear

00:46:15.980 somebody just say what was real. And I really gave him a lot of credit for it. Well, now he's

00:46:20.580 not across from MK. He's across from David Remnick of The New Yorker. And it went a little differently.

00:46:26.160 He didn't backtrack on it, but he didn't answer it either.

00:46:29.940 And he's kind of getting hit for doing that, for getting out of balance.

00:46:34.480 Watch.

00:46:35.460 Our reading scores and math scores are in the tank.

00:46:38.600 50% of our kids cannot read or do math at grade level.

00:46:42.400 And we're going to talk about bathroom access.

00:46:44.980 So my view is if you want to win elections and you also want to help kids get prepared for the future, focus on the bottom line of what schools.

00:46:52.280 I understand that, Brown, but all I would say that there were times, earlier times, with other groups that didn't have their rights, and they were told to be patient, too, and the focus on their rights was distracting.

00:47:05.820 That's what Letter from Birmingham Jail is all about, patience versus urgency.

00:47:12.260 Well, as a country, we proved we couldn't do it, because you haven't told me and asked me a single question how to get 50% of our kids.

00:47:19.300 We'll get there.

00:47:19.640 No, wait a second. Wait a second. You started where you thought was a priority.

00:47:24.780 I'm going to tell you.

00:47:26.000 I'm asking you, Rahm, about what's become, and a lot of your speeches and interviews are kind of a tagline to differentiate yourself.

00:47:34.740 I think that's the motivation.

00:47:36.040 It's not just a tagline. I passed a bill in 2016, 10 years beforehand.

00:47:42.560 I made sure that kids had access to a bathroom.

00:47:44.900 I just didn't let it distract from reading math or graduation rates.

00:47:49.640 Just to add one thing to that. So David, Dave Weigel, who's a leftist journalist, writes unenlightening exchange. Emmanuel is very comfortable talking about the focus, but not the policy. When I asked if the next president should undo Trump's executive order on gender, he pivoted and said he'd be focused on corruption.

00:48:08.320 So when in front of his fellow leftists, he's not disavowing. He's getting out of bounds. He's kind of doing what Abigail Spanberger did in Virginia before she was elected governor, where she just kind of keeps saying, like, that's such a small issue. Let's talk about things that matter, which, you know, gave some people hope that she'd be reasonable on it.

00:48:28.940 she has him. She's not. I don't I think Rahm Emanuel is secretly or explicitly on our side

00:48:34.420 on this. And this is a tactic to get away from these leftists trying to pin him down

00:48:37.800 with more specificity on exactly what he do, like on the Trump executive order.

00:48:43.340 But I do think it's interesting that even in front of a leftist, he didn't disavow.

00:48:48.460 Right. And David Remnick is doing what the head of the ABA didn't have the courage to do,

00:48:52.920 which is explicitly compare the trans identifying population in the United States to people

00:48:58.540 suffering under Jim Crow. That is beyond offensive. Rahm Emanuel should have called

00:49:03.540 him out on the spot, but he's clearly testing out this new line, which is that it's about

00:49:08.160 getting test scores up. It's not about bathrooms. Weigel's question is a good one. It reminds me of

00:49:12.580 asking Democrats exactly what they would reverse of the Trump immigration policy, because what

00:49:17.380 they're trying to do, and it works sometimes, if you have an opponent that's not up to the task,

00:49:21.840 like Abigail Spanberger had, and you have low popularity for a Republican president,

00:49:25.700 then yes, you can sometimes win lesser than two evil elections. If that's what the independent

00:49:31.360 kind of swing voters are going off of, we just are going to vote for the person that's the lesser

00:49:34.780 of two evils, you can sometimes win with it. But if that's the direction that Democrats cannot

00:49:41.080 get away from, in the long term, it is going to be a huge, huge problem for them. And the problem

00:49:47.660 then for Republicans is whether they can put themselves in a position to capitalize on it.

00:49:52.060 But that is what David Remnick is doing is what the head of the ABA and the Smithsonian American History Museum should have done if they were if they had any honesty in them, which is say, yes, we believe this is the exact same thing as apartheid Jim Crow.

00:50:06.200 Yeah, it's crazy. I mean, a letter from a Birmingham jail was an MLK letter from 1963 where he was saying injustice anywhere is an injustice everywhere and it's time to stand up for civil rights and so on.

00:50:18.360 that that was with respect to race, which is an immutable characteristic and thus gets special

00:50:27.280 protection in the law, as does gender. Another thing we cannot change, which the law recognizes

00:50:33.040 aging when you become older. Another thing we cannot change. These things get special

00:50:38.460 protections in the law if you get discriminated on the basis of them, since they are immutable

00:50:42.380 characteristics. If you have a mutable characteristic, which leads to somebody

00:50:47.860 treating you differently, it gets a totally different level of scrutiny by any court. 0.96

00:50:53.200 And the court just found that the transgender thing is a mutable characteristic. It's not 0.53

00:50:59.340 immutable. You're not born like that. It's a social contagion. For some, it's a sexual fetish.

00:51:05.160 So we're not going to treat it like that. And how dare David Remnick compare the fight for civil

00:51:11.200 rights by these trans people, most of whom are enacting a sexual fetish on us, to the actual 1.00

00:51:18.100 struggle of blacks in America under Jim Crow. It really was an outrageous comparison. Rom 1.00

00:51:23.540 missed a chance to stake out the moral high ground against somebody who was trying to stake it out

00:51:29.160 against him. And it's just an absurd thing to bring up in this context. So, OK, we have much

00:51:34.680 more to discuss with Emily. We got to get to Sophie Cunningham, who's emerging as a hero in

00:51:38.220 women's sports and some thoughts. Well, we'll keep it going. Stand by. In the US, a break-in happens

00:51:44.740 every 26 seconds. Most systems only alert you after an intruder is inside the home. By then,

00:51:51.600 the damage is done. Most of these guys smash and grab, and then they get the heck out of there.

00:53:18.260 Emily in the YouTube search box and it will come right up and subscribe. Okay, there's drama,

00:53:24.040 you'll be shocked to learn, in the WNBA today on multiple fronts. I mean, these women, they cannot 1.00

00:53:31.280 keep their shit together. It's actually quite amazing to watch. There's a new controversy 1.00

00:53:35.780 involving race or sexuality or the trans thing pretty much every other week. Now, this is kind 0.99

00:53:43.140 of a good one, the one we're starting with first. This Sophie Cunningham has spoken out against men 0.98

00:53:49.300 playing in women's sports. And I have to say, first of all, obviously good for her, 1.00

00:53:54.340 but this is on the heels of somebody I don't like at all politically, but I have nothing against 0.96

00:53:59.360 personally, Martina Navarrola, helping lead the way in women's tennis to keep men out of women's 0.96

00:54:06.680 tennis. I completely applaud her on this. She got out there and made comments a couple years ago

00:54:12.480 against men in women's tennis, and she got her hand slapped and she kind of took it back initially.

00:54:18.340 And then she came around on this issue. She I think she realized, why am I letting people slap my hand on this? I'm a world champion, you know, 10, 15 times over. I have a right to my opinion. And this is what I think. And she's been very fearless on it ever since. So while we've sparred politically many times, she and I, I completely applaud her on this unreservedly.

00:54:38.380 and she has led to the rule being changed in women's tennis that will not allow men to play

00:54:43.980 against women. So hurrah, good for her. Perhaps inspired by that, I can't prove it, but perhaps

00:54:50.400 Sophie Cunningham, who is one of the stars in women's basketball, best known recently for

00:54:57.220 the pointing meme, which went everywhere. It was so good. She's decided, I think she's feeling,

00:55:04.480 you know sowing her oats whatever she's she's always pretty fearless she's pretty bold um but

00:55:10.060 she has decided to speak out against men in women's basketball saying i don't think it's right or men

00:55:16.740 in women's sports and um given the chance to take it back here's what she said uh just yesterday

00:55:23.980 sat one on that same vein in that story with espn you talked about wanting to protect young girls

00:55:28.980 who shouldn't have to go against biological men just can you expand your viewpoint on that i mean

00:55:33.360 I think I said what I said. I think it's kind of common sense. Um, and I think I'll always

00:55:38.540 believe in that. I think it's really important to protect children. Um, and that's, uh, little

00:55:42.740 girls, uh, who are also involved in that category. And so, um, I, I stand on what I said and,

00:55:48.480 um, I always believe that. Yeah. Do you see your advocacy on that? Like taking any form

00:55:52.840 going forward? You know, I, I don't know. I didn't, I'm not a very political person,

00:55:56.740 but I do have beliefs. I have morals and I'll always stand on those and be true to true to

00:56:00.760 who I am. And I think people are going to take it how they want to take it, but I've never even

00:56:06.380 really said anything about that. And so when it comes just to protecting young girls in sport

00:56:10.840 and women in sport, I feel very strongly about that. I think that's why you have Title IX. That's

00:56:16.380 why you have some of the greats in women's sports. If Title IX and women's sports weren't protected, 1.00

00:56:21.960 then you wouldn't hear about any type of women in sport. And so I think in the future, it's just 0.97

00:56:26.020 really important to protect. I actually think this is a huge moment. Like, good for her. She's

00:56:33.420 not Martina. She's in the game right now. She's not retired. She doesn't have all the money and

00:56:39.560 accolades and sort of lifetime revered status in her sport that Martina Navarrola has in tennis.

00:56:45.400 And so it's riskier for her. And she's the only one doing it. I mean, truly, no one else is doing

00:56:52.400 it. I can't think of another person who's doing it. It's certainly not in the WNBA, but really in

00:56:57.540 women's like professional sports right now, who is speaking out on behalf of the little girls

00:57:02.400 who are getting hurt by boys playing in their sports. The biggest name that comes to mind is 0.99

00:57:07.480 Megan Rapinoe, who's on the other side and just doubled down on her nonsense and inanity this 1.00

00:57:12.820 week on The View on Tuesday. That's like women are not the women speaking out on this are women 1.00

00:57:20.200 who are not currently in the game.

00:57:23.460 You know, Megan, obviously Riley Gaines

00:57:26.040 got very active in this after she left college

00:57:29.040 where she was a college swimmer.

00:57:30.380 But like, it's very rare to see somebody

00:57:32.980 like Sophie Cunningham in the game,

00:57:35.140 making money as a headliner right now,

00:57:37.600 come out and say, this is wrong.

00:57:40.100 And then standing by it when asked after,

00:57:43.560 of course, she must've been deluged with accusations.

00:57:47.080 She was transphobe between then and now.

00:57:49.840 And she stood by it and sort of said, I'm not political. This just makes common sense, which is just so great to hear, Emily. It's like, of course, you hear it said and you're like, of course.

00:58:00.280 That distinction, I think, is actually really critical with her saying she's not political.

00:58:04.080 It's just something that she believes is a value for standing, a value about standing up for women, because it inverts what the cultural left likes to say about this issue, as we were talking about earlier, as a civil rights question, right?

00:58:16.080 They say standing up for people who identify as trans is the new civil rights issue of our time.

00:58:21.460 But as you were describing, this is a, your sex is an immutable characteristic, like a race. 0.51

00:58:26.700 And that is exactly why the early, or I should say the second wave feminist movement fought for, as a civil right, things like Title IX, which said, on the basis of sex. 0.62

00:58:39.760 The Obama administration then read gender identity into that, which totally diluted the civil rights protection of basis of sex.

00:58:48.200 Those words were totally diluted by the cultural left.

00:58:51.360 And so when they say that they're not doing anything political, they're just standing up for human rights or civil rights in defense of men playing in women's sports, it's actually the people like Sophie Cunningham, who they try to smear as MAGA bigots, who are the ones standing up for the explicit civil rights that second wave feminists fought for, civil rights protections, including Title IX, including same-sex spaces.

00:59:14.620 And I mean, I was just talking to Jen Say of XXXY Athletics a couple weeks ago, and I hadn't realized until I was talking to her that not one major current female athlete playing right now had done what Sophie Cunningham just did in the last couple of days.

00:59:31.080 I did not realize that.

00:59:32.360 It's so out of whack with public opinion, and it speaks to the pressure. 0.59

00:59:35.540 We've had some great, great women speak out in women's cycling, women's weightlifting at the high school level. 0.72

00:59:43.820 We've seen it in track and field. But in terms of like names in professional women's sports. 1.00

00:59:53.080 No one's coming to mind. I forgive me if there's somebody out there I'm missing right now, but we've been begging.

00:59:59.220 I mean, I've been it. I was recently at a Jennifer Say event with Chloe Cole and many others on this issue, but like begging somebody to speak out like we were saying at that event, maybe Serena and Venus will because they've got that same exalted status in tennis.

01:00:13.820 um no it took martina to do it but like who who will do it for their sport and this this gal

01:00:20.440 she's right at the apex of her sport right now she does have a lot to lose and she's pretty

01:00:25.280 damn fearless this sophie cunningham it's actually kind of interesting because to me it's on brand

01:00:29.660 for her not that i follow the wnba but um i i do know that she prizes herself on looking out 0.98

01:00:35.940 for others and that includes caitlin clark who she's gotten very ticked off watching caitlin

01:00:43.080 clark get fouled over and over and over again and the refs never call it and she's spoken to that

01:00:49.240 here uh here she is this is from june 26th so a month ago sat three during real time last night

01:00:57.700 i did not see that happen and like i i don't none of our teams saw it happen because i promise you 0.96

01:01:04.220 that if we would have seen that happen we would have had her back unfortunately this type of shit 0.68

01:01:09.900 happens every single game to her and the league and the refs do absolutely nothing about it it's

01:01:15.480 been a minute since you got fined on this podcast i have but then like you see the videos of like

01:01:21.280 literally kneeing and and cheap shotting c in the throat like if she did that to any of our

01:01:28.020 teammates we'd be pissed but like they are they're definitely targeting her and the league and the

01:01:33.380 do nothing to protect her. This is amazing. Like, good for her. People within the WNBA,

01:01:40.240 you're not allowed to say that, Emily. If you stick up for Caitlin Clark, they'll call you a

01:01:43.800 white supremacist. But this girl with the finger and the pointing does not give an F what these 1.00

01:01:50.520 people are saying about her. Or if she does, she overcomes it with courage. And I admire her.

01:01:54.600 Yeah, they get they call her MAGA Barbie. Like she just obviously as a pejorado, 0.97

01:01:58.400 She just gets completely smeared when the entire country can step back and watch what happens to 0.98

01:02:04.340 Caitlin Clark. It's legitimately dangerous. There's no question that it's legitimately

01:02:08.240 dangerous. It also obviously puts the referees in a tough position where they are now litigating

01:02:13.520 race relations with their calls on the court. That doesn't make anybody, anybody safer. It's

01:02:19.520 really sad to see. And I mean, Sophie Cunningham is actually totally unafraid to come out. You can 0.93

01:02:27.120 tell. She's saying there, I don't care if I get fined, basically. She's like, it's genuinely

01:02:32.060 dangerous. And the WNBA fandom, honestly, is small, and it's ideologically captured. Not

01:02:38.380 everybody who watches WNBA is far left, but that's the case with the WNBA audience generally. And it

01:02:44.280 has really created a dangerous situation where they can't celebrate one of the best people to

01:02:48.840 ever play the game, Caitlin Clark, who's bringing new people into the sport, who is exciting

01:02:53.760 audiences and who's just putting on great games because they're obsessed with this idea that

01:02:59.120 there's some deep-seated racial discrepancy with the way she's treated versus the way other players

01:03:04.020 are treated. Here's one of the reasons why it's so important. In basketball in particular, 1.00

01:03:09.860 girls basketball, we have seen males play. And think of that. I mean, it's not like track and

01:03:15.780 field where it's galling and it's unfair, but it's not unsafe to have somebody do the long jump next

01:03:22.360 to you who's a boy. But in basketball, like volleyball, it's unsafe, like boxing, by the way.

01:03:29.960 And even at the Olympic level, we saw those women try to do the XX and then immediately reverse 0.99

01:03:34.440 themselves because they got the pile on. Not the people saying, shame, shame, you're a bigot. And 1.00

01:03:38.480 they folded. But Sophie Cunningham does not seem like the type to fold. And so far, she's not 1.00

01:03:42.740 folding. But we pulled the video of some of these high school matches, games, in which girls got

01:03:48.960 brutalized by this six foot tall guy posing as a woman it's happened over and over and it's

01:03:55.060 incredibly aggravating because look at this he whips her she falls to the ground this one game

01:04:01.900 that i think they had five female players get hurt um and they had to stop the game so this

01:04:08.140 has happened look at this girl she needed sophie cunningham she needed sophie cunningham no no one 0.91

01:04:14.900 would stand up for her. Look, it's obvious which one is the man walking around towering over these

01:04:20.720 women and hurting them. It's just incredibly frustrating and infuriating. And it was about

01:04:28.160 time we had Sophie Cunningham come along and lead the way. The question now, will anyone else

01:04:34.620 follow? I'll get to Megan Rapinoe in a minute. She's not. She wants my daughter who plays soccer

01:04:40.400 to get hurt by a man and have she has no problem with it none whatsoever but let me stay on the

01:04:45.960 WNBA for a second Emily um it's it's very annoying I would never watch the WNBA I just feel like

01:04:52.320 they're they're so annoying I don't know how Sophie Cunningham works in this league I don't

01:04:57.220 know how Caitlin Clark does either Dave Portnoy is saying that Caitlin Clark should go start her

01:05:01.020 own league and she'd make gazillions of dollars and she'd have a lot of people follow probably 1.00

01:05:06.000 sophie um but there was a controversy on monday today we're we're it's thursday involving a ref

01:05:12.480 so there's a ref uh by the name of sandy brondello and she is the coach of the tempo

01:05:21.220 the coach did i say i called her a ref no she's a coach she's the coach of the tempo and what

01:05:28.320 happened was her team was playing the Atlanta Dream and Angel Reese is on that team. And Angel

01:05:36.040 Reese is a black woman in the NBA who's been on the wrong side of Caitlin Clark a few times. 1.00

01:05:41.420 And she's been very controversial and she's quick to inject race into any controversy 1.00

01:05:47.200 and seems generally annoying, if I'm honest. But what happened in this particular instance is I'm

01:05:54.200 going to show you the play, but Reese, Angel Reese, secured an offensive rebound. She went 1.00

01:05:59.800 to the basket against someone named Sabali. Reese put her shoulder into Sabali's chest to create

01:06:05.320 space, but Sabali was called for the foul and collapsed to the ground in pain. A live Mike

01:06:11.620 then heard the coach, Sabali's coach, call Reese, quote, a protected species while addressing the

01:06:19.460 officiating crew. It wasn't like she said it under her breath. She said it to the officials who were

01:06:25.300 reffing the game after Reese drew the foul. Here it is in Sot 7.

01:06:30.840 As she rolled over.

01:06:35.760 Sandy Brondello pleads her case. Carl Smesko has walked over closer to the officials.

01:06:41.480 now brondello the coach who said this is an aussie and that phrase is apparently very common

01:06:50.120 in australia in sports in particular and it means over there that the athlete is getting protected

01:06:57.580 or preferential treatment from the refs that's what it means so it was completely apt the way 0.98

01:07:03.780 she used it it did reflect what she was suggesting was happening but a shit storm 0.98

01:07:09.900 rain down on her as though this had to be a racist comment. There's zero grace in the WNBA 1.00

01:07:16.720 for anyone. Any small perceived slight will be blown up into a career endangering 1.00

01:07:22.660 offense. So this woman, Brondello, ever since has been apologizing. She got suspended for a game.

01:07:30.740 She was suspended from the game on Monday. She issued an apology to Reese saying,

01:07:36.800 I used a phrase that I shouldn't have. I take full responsibility. I'm deeply sorry. I used it in the emotion of the moment. She didn't even just say like, this is something that's common in Australia. It doesn't mean what you think it like. She just fell on the sword, fell. Now, did Angel Reese, given this opportunity, you know, to to be magnanimous, to, you know, extend some grace to this coach, understanding that this is this is not what it was being painted to be at all.

01:08:05.300 It's the Australian thing.

01:08:07.080 And honestly, like, you understand what she's saying, but whatever.

01:08:10.060 No, no. 0.58

01:08:11.180 This is how Angel Reese handled it.

01:08:14.680 Listen, I don't know which side it is, but my team's got it.

01:08:17.860 Everyone, I'm sure everyone knows about the situation that happened last game,

01:08:20.960 and I'm going to address this one time.

01:08:22.760 First, I appreciate Sandy's apology,

01:08:25.220 but I also appreciate the love and support that I have had for the last 48 hours.

01:08:29.500 It has been very overwhelming with a lot of love and also other things.

01:08:34.200 But I am grateful that the league did take action on what the situation had happened.

01:08:40.580 There is no place for discrimination or hate in this league from anyone, from fans to coaches to players.

01:08:47.260 And I'm just grateful that we are able to move on from the situation and just play winning basketball.

01:08:53.800 The WNBA is supposed to be positive and we are going in a great light right now.

01:08:57.560 So I just want to continue that and move forward.

01:08:59.240 low road once again tries to pretend that a racist incident has taken place and there's 1.00

01:09:06.400 no place for hate in this league she's got to lean into being the aggrieved victim of racism 1.00

01:09:12.360 of this woman who did nothing wrong and paid a penalty for a completely innocuous comment that 1.00

01:09:20.740 the substance of which appears to be totally right that angel reese does get protected

01:09:26.100 whereas caitlin clark certainly never does yeah i mean i have great news for angel reese there was

01:09:31.180 no discrimination or hate at all from the other coach uh who sounded actually like caitlin clark's

01:09:36.660 coach when uh after that that incident with the infamous incident where she basically got a punch

01:09:42.580 to the throat caitlin clark's coach came out and condemned hatred and discrimination that had been

01:09:48.720 directed against the opposing player instead of just like standing firm and saying the league is

01:09:54.360 making my players less safe. You saw the clip you just played. It's not just Caitlin Clark who's

01:10:00.080 less safe because of this. It's the Black players as well. And in the United States, we have a proud

01:10:05.360 tradition in recent decades of celebrating our Black athletes, our white athletes. It's actually

01:10:10.320 incredible how we've been able to neutralize bigotry and discrimination, particularly in

01:10:15.700 sports. And so for the WNBA to be mired in this racial controversy that's actually making people 0.63

01:10:22.400 less safe because Angel Reese has put herself forward as a martyr for racial causes. That does 1.00

01:10:29.020 make it tough for refs who know that every call is going to get clipped. They understand that every

01:10:35.340 call now risks being clipped and put onto the internet and becoming a big racial controversy.

01:10:40.920 And so, yes, they're probably less likely to call Angel Reese, to call follows on Angel Reese when

01:10:47.460 there are like flagrant follows that's making everybody less safe it's not good for anybody

01:10:52.680 and as somebody who is the probably closest thing to a man on my high school basketball teams not

01:10:58.340 because I was particularly good but because I was particularly angry you know how dangerous 0.54

01:11:03.920 women's basketball can get because there's elbows flying everywhere you saw it looked like a kidney

01:11:09.160 shot there the throat shot to Caitlin Clark somebody is going to get seriously hurt we are

01:11:15.160 lucky that it has not happened yet yes and that that's why the sophie cunninghams of the world

01:11:20.820 are so important because she's saying what's real she's standing up for her teammate right

01:11:26.640 she and caitlin are on the same team and she's calling out nonsense and she's standing up for

01:11:31.360 other little girls who are in basketball and otherwise here was sophie cunningham that the

01:11:36.980 whole this this dynamic that we're discussing right now is what was behind the famous pointing

01:11:42.520 with the finger you know up and down this was um this happened in june and she here she is

01:11:49.180 explaining on the show me something podcast explaining what was behind that now viral

01:11:56.560 finger point in stat two i walked out there and i was literally talking to the ref say your say

01:12:02.720 your db i was like this with the ref i was like now caitlin got one but why didn't she get one

01:12:08.220 because if caitlin's gonna get one then she should have got one it shouldn't have been one or the

01:12:12.340 other like and i was just kind of pointing and she's like don't you don't you point at me and i 0.98

01:12:18.700 was like oh shouldn't have said that and i didn't say a word uh okay that's so stupid like that is 0.97

01:12:28.180 the stupidest thing i've ever done it's the probably the number one meme at least on twitter 0.99

01:12:32.000 this morning which is special it was pissing her off and like i couldn't help myself i could not 1.00

01:12:38.840 She was losing her shit, and all I was seeing was literally pointing. 0.99

01:12:41.960 Because it was you, I think it just plays better on the internet. 1.00

01:12:45.880 But I think what I agreed, and another thing is, too,

01:12:49.140 why it played so well is because I literally did not say a word.

01:12:54.260 So she's talking about how in that infamous exchange

01:12:57.060 in which Caitlyn took it to the neck,

01:12:59.280 that Caitlyn got a foul, 1.00

01:13:01.160 but the other girl who did it to her didn't get the foul 1.00

01:13:03.780 until after the game was done.

01:13:05.900 they came back and and finally said okay that was a flagrant but but that she's saying that she went

01:13:11.920 and said wait a minute if caitlin's gonna get a foul why aren't you gonna get a foul why is caitlin

01:13:17.980 the only one getting a foul like this league it's out of control it's it is blatantly racist just

01:13:23.560 not in the way they say it is emily they they really need a total reset because and i don't

01:13:29.420 trust that they would be able to do a total reset in a good direction because even as we've seen

01:13:33.480 with the audience capture, like it's the coaches who then are coming out and groveling to the left,

01:13:39.500 to the cultural left after these incidents happen. So even if they tried to do a total reset,

01:13:43.640 it would probably go in the exact wrong direction. But what they really need is a reset to just

01:13:48.220 restore some normalcy, some sanity to understand how amazing it is that this league even is able

01:13:53.400 to exist and that the athletes black and white have so much support from people who, for whatever

01:13:59.320 reason just genuinely really love watching professional women's basketball and like have

01:14:04.360 some gratitude for the fact that they're able to play the sport a professional level with fans and

01:14:09.800 able to get along on their teams like it's actually historically remarkable and they have no sense of

01:14:15.560 perspective about it they're just mired in these controversies racial controversies that are

01:14:19.400 genuinely making people less safe and i think before any reset happens someone sadly is going

01:14:24.200 to get very very hurt they may be white they may be black but it's going to happen 0.58

01:14:29.320 You know, we're told in defense of this conduct, well, you know, you have to remember that the 0.98

01:14:34.460 league is predominantly black and the players are also predominantly gay, like they're lesbians. 0.59

01:14:40.460 So we have to like interpret all of their behavior through this lens. And I guess,

01:14:44.080 you know, cut them some slack. That's not the argument that they make when it's whites that 0.99

01:14:51.560 are accused of being racist against a minority group. No one says, well, you have to understand

01:14:57.280 that the majority in this group, they're white. So, you know, they don't they don't like having 0.98

01:15:02.620 this black person come in and get all the attention. I mean, imagine making that argument 0.85

01:15:07.600 when it involves whites as the majority. But when it's blacks as the majority, as it is in this 0.96

01:15:12.380 league, we're asked to just we have to understand that it's it's a black majority league. And

01:15:17.780 therefore, Caitlin Clark and the attention she gets is very annoying to them. And so we just

01:15:22.540 have to really cut them that slack, give them that grace, because naturally they're offended

01:15:27.660 that she gets so much attention. What do you mean? What are you saying? Did somebody give

01:15:31.340 that lecture to the white golfers when Tiger Woods was the star of the world?

01:15:36.860 That's racist. That's what's actually racist. That's not even just soft bigotry of low

01:15:41.620 expectations. That's the hard bigotry of low expectations, saying you have to cut slack

01:15:46.440 to the Black players for committing these flagrant egregious fouls left and right 0.93

01:15:51.900 because, you know, they are oppressed. 0.97

01:15:55.220 They're an oppressed minority, which they're not even a minority in the league. 0.97

01:15:58.460 Like, it's just ridiculous. 0.88

01:16:00.360 It's the kind of stuff that, again, falls apart when it's exposed to daylight 0.57

01:16:03.900 with the majority of the public, which doesn't normally watch the WNBA.

01:16:07.620 But the temperatures have risen in the league among all players.

01:16:12.160 And that's why we're starting to see these games, I think, spiral out of control 0.82

01:16:15.200 because the refs don't know what to do about it. They're under immense pressure. They know 1.00

01:16:18.660 they're going to get clipped. They know they can find themselves at the center of racial

01:16:21.400 controversies. Some of the players want to be at the center of those controversies because there's

01:16:25.180 an incentive among the audience captured fans. So it's a really, really, really dangerous situation.

01:16:32.380 Well, enter Nancy Armour, who will always make it worse. She is, I think, literally the worst 0.98

01:16:39.000 journalist in America. She writes for USA Today. She's horrid. She's never seen a tranny she 0.96

01:16:46.820 doesn't want playing against our daughters ever. She is 100 percent on team trans. She has no kids. 0.98

01:16:53.800 What a shock. She continuously writes inane pieces for USA Today on these so-called trans rights and

01:17:02.940 how all the rest of us who don't want trannies playing against our girls are bigots. So she's 0.96

01:17:08.520 decided to write about caitlin clark okay there's an opportunity here are you going to write about

01:17:13.700 how she's being treated unfairly about how she's constantly getting fouled and she's probably going

01:17:19.060 to get seriously injured unless the refs stand up and do their jobs the articles should not be about

01:17:24.440 the racist backlash to the players who hurt her they should be about the players who hurt her

01:17:30.020 and the injuries to caitlin right okay obviously not so she's just dropped a piece called caitlin

01:17:37.100 Clark's flopping isn't just annoying, it's becoming dangerous. It's becoming dangerous.

01:17:45.580 Flopping is when you fake that you're injured and you're not, i.e. see World Cup. She criticizes

01:17:53.560 the Indiana Fever star for what she calls habitual flopping and dramatic reactions to

01:17:58.660 and the exaggeration of non-calls, arguing it endangers her opponents by inciting racist

01:18:06.100 harassment from some of Caitlin Clark's fans. You can't make this shit up. Quote, 0.99

01:18:11.540 the fouls they claim occurred, the contusion she says she suffered, the technicals that aren't

01:18:17.020 deserved. Clark doesn't suddenly become invisible when she's involved in a physical play. So we can

01:18:21.740 see what actually happened. She brings up some examples and goes through. She says, oh, you know,

01:18:27.880 basically she wasn't hurt in this incident, yet she collapsed to the ground as if she'd been hit

01:18:31.460 in the stomach with a battering ram, then yelled at the refs demanding a foul. They reviewed it and 0.99

01:18:35.300 saw what everyone else had. There was no foul, barely any contact. Three days later, against

01:18:39.200 the Golden State Valkyries, Clark said she got kneed in the quad by Kia Stokes as Clark dove 0.93

01:18:47.220 to the basket. Clark was livid when no foul was called, dropping an F-bomb as she yelled at the 1.00

01:18:51.260 ref. I got kneed in the quad. That hurts, Clark said after the game. The ref can't miss that.

01:18:56.380 Then I have to play with a contusion in my leg for the rest of the game. That's ridiculous. You 0.94

01:18:59.880 can't miss calls like that. Yet once again, according to Armour, replays clearly showed

01:19:04.440 if there was contact. It was minimal. She says, let's call it what it is, flopping.

01:19:08.780 Clark's hardly the only athlete to do it. Talks about the World Cup. It's been a staple of James

01:19:13.100 Harden's career. And she says, I'm not a Clark hater before you accuse me of that. And she's

01:19:20.060 done all sorts of good things for the league, but it doesn't entitle to her a pass. Okay,

01:19:23.320 here we go. It seems there is a white nationalist element to Clark's fandom that is deeply,

01:19:30.400 deeply problematic, made even more so because the WNBA is made up of predominantly black women, 0.82

01:19:38.340 many of them queer. Here we go. Okay. The problem is the league is majority black and queer. So 1.00

01:19:45.740 Caitlin's fans are bad. When Clark claims fouls that don't exist, when she goes on profanity, 0.98

01:19:52.040 lays tirades at referees, those racists see her as a white woman in need of saving and take matters 0.67

01:20:00.520 into their own hands. This is crazy. Chelsea Gray of the Las Vegas Aces posted a message she got 0.98

01:20:07.900 following the July 12th game against the Fever in which a man called her a racial slur. Enough

01:20:12.460 is kind of enough, Gray said on July 15th. These messages are not the first of its kind.

01:20:17.020 There was other stuff too. It was just time. I got fed up with it and I just decided to share it.

01:20:22.040 That's called a day on the Internet, madam. If any of us wanted to show you the hideous, racist, misogynistic, bigoted slop we are all subjected to on any given day, if we say something or do something remotely controversial, we'd be here forever.

01:20:39.620 Most of it's from me. It's not nice to you. Most of it's from me to you. 0.53

01:20:44.020 I mean, we talked about it, but I thought it would stop. Still, you go on anyway.

01:20:49.120 Right. Nevertheless, I persist. This is like they're making it sound like this is a unique thing to the NBA.

01:20:55.340 Like they get nasty comments in their case, raise it like it's it's 2026 America.

01:21:01.060 If you have any presence on the Internet, you've been subjected to this nonsense.

01:21:04.500 OK. And anyway, it shouldn't need reminding, writes Nancy Armour. 0.97

01:21:08.300 This country has an awful history of black people being harmed, even killed in the name of defending, in quotes, white women.

01:21:17.500 The WNBA's all star game this weekend is in Chicago. Emmett Till's hometown and a local art gallery is currently hosting an exhibit imagining his life if he hadn't been lynched.

01:21:32.240 What is it with Emmett Till? Right. This like this just came up the other day in the in the Nolan Wells case where Ben Crump or was mentioning Emmett Till as though Nolan Wells, a black young man in Mississippi who is beloved by his white male friends, turned up dead on a beach, apparently drowned, though there's an investigation underway, has nothing to do with Emmett Till.

01:21:58.460 but they brought up Emmett Till because of Emmett Till we need to investigate these white boys who

01:22:03.200 loved him and befriended him but they're suddenly the same as all those Mississippi racists back in

01:22:07.940 the day why again because they're white okay so here she is now Caitlin Clark can't say when a

01:22:17.300 black person hurts her on the court because of Emmett because of Emmett Till she has a zip it 0.53

01:22:25.580 suck up the injury because of Emmett Till and then she finishes um while it's incumbent on the 0.84

01:22:32.720 WNBA to do more to protect its players there also should be an expectation on Clark to recognize 0.52

01:22:38.180 the wider consequences of her actions it ends with this line again I'm not a Clark hater she's great

01:22:46.000 for the league and for women's sports she'll be even better when she cuts out the Oscar auditions

01:22:52.040 Thoughts on that, Em? 1.00

01:22:53.020 Oh, my goodness.

01:22:53.900 Well, speaking of art exhibitions, that column should be in an art exhibition.

01:22:58.580 That is a work of art.

01:23:01.320 Incredible stuff.

01:23:02.340 Well done.

01:23:03.380 10 out of 10 on the crazy spectrum. 1.00

01:23:06.200 But I have a theory about the Clark flopping, because this is the new attack against her.

01:23:10.640 And I think it is 100% true that you can see clips of Caitlin Clark flopping.

01:23:14.780 Again, as the writer points out, not unheard of in the NBA or the WNBA, not unheard of

01:23:19.980 in soccer, certainly.

01:23:21.040 But I think the reason that Caitlin Clark, I think more and more you see sometimes there's an exaggeration of what happened to her.

01:23:28.220 It's because when things that are genuinely dangerous happen to her, they don't call it.

01:23:32.740 And so she's protecting herself.

01:23:34.340 It might not even be conscious, but she's protecting herself by trying to call attention to fouls and trying to call attention to when she is getting attacked on the court because she has to get it to stop.

01:23:45.520 If she wants to keep playing professionally, she has to find a way for them to actually call the aggression against her.

01:23:51.180 So whether it's conscious or not.

01:23:52.260 It's racist of her. 0.95

01:23:53.260 Very racist of her. 1.00

01:23:54.300 It's racist. 0.88

01:23:55.040 Before she tries to protect herself on the court, she needs to consider the cultural context in which she's playing, Megan, which actually, instead of this, like.

01:24:02.580 I would tell.

01:24:03.100 The glass half full narrative about racial relations in America is so cynical and sad because the glass half empty narrative is a more accurate and be much more like beautiful, inspiring and true to the experience that we all have around us, which is that bigotry has been largely stamped out in this country.

01:24:21.180 will never go away completely. But in recent decades, we've had amazing strides. That's why

01:24:25.740 the WNBA has a multiracial fan base and you have black players and white players playing next to 1.00

01:24:30.660 each other, respecting each other, but they're blowing it up over the stupid Selma envy of white 1.00

01:24:36.500 writers like this lady. Yes, it's so absurd. So she's supposed to go down. And by the way, 1.00

01:24:44.300 isn't LeBron James known for the flopping? Isn't he infamous for faking injury over the

01:24:51.140 top faking injury all the time. So he's allowed to do it because he's a black man, but she can't 1.00

01:24:57.380 do it because she's a white woman in the WNBA. So she's got to go down. And when she's thinking 0.99

01:25:01.340 about getting an advantage for her team, possibly by, you know, eliciting a foul, she's got to be

01:25:05.900 like, uh, Emmett Till, I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm fine. She's, you're not allowed to do it because

01:25:12.400 of Emmett Till. It's the rare exception to the flopping behavior that applies only to white 0.94

01:25:18.760 basketball players. I look forward to Nancy Armour's addressing this in the NBA as well. 0.84

01:25:25.220 I mean, should the male, should the white male basketball stars not be allowed to flop

01:25:30.980 because of Emmett? There should be like, there should be a universal principle to protect because

01:25:36.480 Black Lives Matter because of BLM. That's, that's basically where Nancy stands. How is this idiot 0.98

01:25:41.780 still employed by USA Today? She's an idiot. Some editor got that in their copy and like, 1.00

01:25:48.580 it wasn't just her posting to a sub stack. Like some editor got that in the copy and was like,

01:25:52.600 yep, we're going to run it. Sounds good. Airtight. Great argument. She's she should stop it right now

01:25:58.540 because of Emmett. All right. Well, that's going to be our motto from now on. Whenever she goes

01:26:01.580 down, I'm going to raise Emmett Till. Like, how dare she? How dare she? In the wake of Emmett. 1.00

01:26:08.180 Before we take our break, Megan Rapinoe on The View continues to spew nonsense. 1.00

01:26:14.660 She doesn't care who gets hurt. She's got her millions. F the rest of you ladies. Here she is 1.00

01:26:22.060 in SOT 5. There's been a lot of debate about trans women in sports. And you recently wrote 0.83

01:26:28.920 an article basically saying that anti-trans legislation is not actually about protecting

01:26:33.940 girls, but distracting from us from what really matters. Tell us what you mean by that.

01:26:38.900 it's a beautiful article yeah thank you i appreciate that um i think what i mean by that

01:26:44.620 is let's just like pull back a little at first it was like well nobody likes women's sports and

01:26:48.580 nobody wants to watch it or there was you know abuse happening and nobody seemed to care now

01:26:53.800 all of a sudden we're going to use a vulnerable group of people in the trans community to be like

01:26:58.760 oh well we're just protecting women's sports and we care so much about it when the heritage

01:27:03.100 foundation is now going to go after title nine so is it about reproductive rights or is it about

01:27:08.040 as women's rights in general. We're seeing the rollback of Roe Wade. Marriage equality, I feel

01:27:12.940 like, is getting put back on the table. That was settled law. And so all of these things, like,

01:27:18.080 yes, they're going after trans people in sports and they're using this as a wedge issue because

01:27:21.960 we love sports and, you know, we don't want our little girls to be unsafe in sports. And it's

01:27:26.680 like, unsafe from who? But okay. But now we're using this as like an overarching thing when

01:27:33.220 really we're attacking women. We're saying, if you look like this as a woman, you can play. 0.99

01:27:38.040 huh? What? To quote Archie Bunker, huh? I don't know what she's saying. She thought she'd sound 1.00

01:27:47.760 smart if she mentioned the Heritage Foundation and Title IX. It's actually gone all the way

01:27:55.100 up to the Supreme Court now, Megan. You might want to bone up on your legislative history if

01:27:59.280 you're going to become a political pundit now. She's an idiot, obviously, but she seems to be 1.00

01:28:06.480 spewing something about there's not going to be any more gay marriage. And the only reason people 1.00

01:28:11.300 stand up for girls rights in sport is. I don't know why she's saying we're doing it. She said 0.99

01:28:19.560 it's not about girls rights. I'm not sure why she says we're doing it, but it's not 0.91

01:28:23.200 in her view about girls rights. I love that line. Protect them from who?

01:28:27.200 Ask that to Peyton McNabb, Megan. Take that to Peyton McNabb, Megan Rapinoe, and see how she

01:28:33.580 would answer that question. It's just stupid. You're right. She clearly thought she was being 1.00

01:28:37.960 smart by invoking the Heritage Foundation, which is on the side of feminists in fighting for the 1.00

01:28:44.060 feminist past, Title IX, to actually protect people on the basis of sex. That's who the 1.00

01:28:52.220 Heritage Foundation is standing with on that, as the feminists of the 1970s who pushed for Title IX.

01:28:57.900 She's the one who's on the other side of it. And she went on in that View interview to talk about

01:29:01.020 the horrors of now having to test athletes on hormones and other things to make sure that you

01:29:07.420 can play in one sport. It's like, she's saying, why are we doing that? Because of you, Megan Rapinoe,

01:29:12.340 because of the ideology that you thrust into women's sports. This is literally the only reason 1.00

01:29:16.880 that we are now testing people, which I don't think anybody wants to have to do. It's because

01:29:21.340 you have blurred the distinction between men and women to the point of meaninglessness.

01:29:25.800 and that's why the tests weren't happening until your movement became the the primary like defender

01:29:32.880 of men playing in women's sports that's exactly why those tests are now happening if you just said

01:29:38.020 that women could play in women's sports men couldn't play in women's sports nobody would

01:29:40.900 have to test anything it's you that pushed so true how from like the beginning of time we have 0.64

01:29:46.660 been allowing you know butch looking women to play women's sports in fact when one rolls up 0.96

01:29:52.300 to your team, you're usually like, yes, because, you know, they're going to be strong and fierce 1.00

01:29:57.140 and great. The women are never like, that's not a woman. Let's test to see if she's a woman. 1.00

01:30:03.100 Only now that we know actual men are coming into our sports, has this become an issue of like, 1.00

01:30:09.460 do we need to test? Like, do we actually need testing to figure out? And look, Imaine Khalif

01:30:14.500 is a great example. That is a man who tried to pose as a woman along with a couple of others

01:30:20.680 in Olympic boxing. And they were getting away with it until they did genetic testing. And it

01:30:26.060 was revealed that our eyes were not lying to us. These were men. These were people with XY

01:30:30.720 chromosomes. So whatever. I mean, you're right. She's to blame and she's losing. And that's what 0.99

01:30:37.360 you're really seeing is a loser's frustration out there because we just got a huge Supreme Court

01:30:43.200 decision on our side saying it is fine for 27 states in the nation that have banned boys from

01:30:49.400 girls' sports to have those bans. And the next step will be to get the ruling that boys may not

01:30:56.480 be allowed to play in girls' sports because of Title IX, because girls are legislatively entitled

01:31:02.680 to have a safe, same-sex-only athletic environment in which to play sports. That's what's coming 0.93

01:31:10.160 next, Megan. Hate to break it to you. It's not the breakup of your stupid marriage. It's that,

01:31:15.740 protecting girls nationwide. So brace yourself. All right, we're going to take a break. We shall

01:31:20.500 be right back. More with EJ right after this. Our sponsor, the Electronic Payments Coalition,

01:31:26.380 says Washington politicians are always getting into your wallet and that now they're messing

01:31:30.680 with your credit card. They say your credit card and the security it offers are under attack

01:31:35.540 and that Senators Dick Durbin and Roger Marshall want to change the nation's payment system to

01:31:40.960 benefit corporate megastores like Walmart and Target at the expense of everyday Americans.

01:31:46.660 Credit cards can keep your payments secure and provide rewards that families use to help make

01:31:51.080 everyday purchases more affordable. The Electronic Payments Coalition says the Durbin Marshall

01:31:56.280 mandates would let corporate megastores cut corners on credit card processing,

01:32:01.900 routing transactions over cheaper, untested networks with weaker security and fewer protections.

01:32:10.040 and consider telling Congress to guard your card.

01:32:14.260 High prices might be here to stay.

01:32:17.080 Gas, groceries, insurance, I mean, let's hope not,

01:32:19.620 but they might.

01:32:20.660 If you're a homeowner, you may have thought,

01:32:22.560 should I refinance to pay off this credit card debt

01:32:24.880 that I've amassed?

01:32:26.060 And then you second guess yourself

01:32:27.260 because of that low mortgage rate you currently have.

01:32:30.280 Listen, that low rate, it's not saving you

01:32:32.260 if you're drowning in credit card interest at 25% or more.

01:32:36.080 If you are only making minimum payments,

01:32:38.520 that debt can follow you for years.

01:32:40.760 And this is why people are calling American Financing

01:32:42.880 because they can save customers an average of $800 a month

01:32:46.180 by using equity to finally break free

01:32:48.620 from credit card debt.

01:32:50.380 No upfront fees, no pressure.

01:34:09.200 We're back now with Emily Jashinsky,

01:34:11.480 host of After Party with EJ,

01:34:13.840 and also the MK Wrap-Up Show,

01:34:15.200 which airs live on SiriusXM right after this show,

01:34:17.820 in which she takes callers,

01:34:19.360 and it's actually a very fun listen.

01:34:21.460 Oftentimes, I'll hop right in my car after the show.

01:34:24.120 I'm picking up a kid, et cetera,

01:34:25.740 and I listen to it,

01:34:27.000 and I love, love, love the dynamic

01:34:28.900 between you and the fans of this show, Emily.

01:34:31.340 It's so fun.

01:34:31.780 So here today they have you for three hours, which is extra special.

01:34:36.840 Brooke Baldwin was CNN anchor for over 10 years. 0.84

01:34:41.840 We played some of this yesterday in which she's she has a sub stack now in which she's bragging about casual sex and how she had the opportunity to sleep with four men this past month. 0.98

01:34:54.140 One used to run a country.

01:34:56.000 one literally flew in just to take me to dinner and then spends his days trying to save our

01:35:00.740 democracy one congressional district at a time one is just hot that's all you're getting for now

01:35:07.000 she she says that her online dating profile reads integrity brains respect big career

01:35:15.360 deeply spiritual about herself serial monogamist but taking a break from that for the first time

01:35:20.560 of my life. Rare window. I'm sorry, but like, who talks about themselves like that? I have brains

01:35:27.160 and a big career, just so you know. And I'm taking a break from my serial monogamy. And then she says,

01:35:33.460 you know, this thing. Well, as it turns out, we should have paid to read the rest of her stupid 1.00

01:35:39.880 sub stack, which we didn't, because who gives a shit about Brooke Baldwin, to be honest. 0.99

01:35:44.020 and in the in the paid piece of the article she confesses she actually did not have casual sex 0.99

01:35:51.300 with these men it was all just a teaser to get you to pay to listen to her lame recitations about 0.94

01:35:58.340 her life it's i don't i got nothing but her hypocrisy stands because this is the same person

01:36:05.780 who went after clay travis and now we've learned more about that incident he was on her show at 0.87

01:36:10.380 cnn and said he believes in two things the first amendment and boobs and she as it turns out after

01:36:15.720 that happened wrote this long piece on cnn.com playing this virtuous card of how horrified she

01:36:23.700 was at clay travis and painting herself as the hero talking about how she she wasn't prepared

01:36:30.420 for this but she's she was they applauded her on set at cnn after she cut his mic and told him to

01:36:39.440 get out and uh they men and women men and women they both applauded me um and then i got notes 0.96

01:36:48.900 like from pat benatar omg nice job cutting him right off asshole from friends and others good 0.98

01:36:55.520 grief it's effing 2017 i love you ridiculous she repeats all this she wants us to know about all 0.99

01:37:01.560 of her because of her brains and her integrity we need to know how what a hero she was and how 0.94

01:37:06.060 much everybody looked up to her. Then she talks about how she, her passion project is elevating

01:37:13.040 women, talking to first, to young women and seeing firsthand how so many of them feel empowered with

01:37:19.600 a desire to be heard and get involved. And she wants to help lift women's voices. Now she really

01:37:24.400 just wants them to, I guess, have casual sex with random hot guys. Clay Travis will never be coming 0.99

01:37:31.460 back on my show ever. And, uh, she says he was demeaning to her. I mean, rather than just like

01:37:36.940 laughing it off and being like, literally every man out there loves boobs. All the straight men 0.90

01:37:42.620 in the world feel as Clay Travis does. He was having some fun. He was making a funny joke,

01:37:48.580 but she takes herself so seriously. She had to have her feminist moment. Okay. Anyway, 1.00

01:37:52.980 you decided to put together a little homage to Brooke Baldwin's weird substack musings

01:38:00.660 and her bizarre TED talk. And here it is in part.

01:38:04.740 America is at an inflection point. Once one of the most powerful women in news. 1.00

01:38:13.380 So many women, black, white, brown, progress. 0.97

01:38:20.740 Y'all know the story of how a caterpillar becomes a butterfly?

01:38:24.620 Now, thrust into a state of chaos, cast into the choppy waters of waning relevance.

01:38:31.760 Flailing for a life raft, Baldwin took to Substack.

01:38:37.480 Reality. The truth is at an inflection point.

01:38:42.260 Over the last month or so, she wrote,

01:38:44.540 I've had the opportunity to sleep with four different men.

01:38:47.620 this is not a humble brag nor have i suddenly become samantha jones though if that's your lane 0.97

01:38:53.960 do you boo you gotta see the whole thing on emily's after party feed so funny um she did

01:39:05.460 actually give a ted talk unbelievably here's a longer stop from it watch y'all know the story

01:39:11.720 of how a caterpillar becomes a butterfly or you think you think you do i'm gonna rock your world

01:39:16.540 right now. It's not like a caterpillar is like, okay, cool, cool, cool. Time to be a butterfly.

01:39:21.200 No. Caterpillar is like, hey, I'm a caterpillar. I'm a caterpillar. And all of a sudden it starts

01:39:27.620 turning into goo. What are these caterpillar cells fighting? They're fighting what's called

01:39:32.140 imaginal cells. What are imaginal cells? They're these teeny tiny seeds of the butterfly that guess

01:39:41.740 what? Have existed in the caterpillar all along. They start growing and they start multiplying and

01:39:49.540 they start fighting. And by the way, sorry, nerd alert, imaginal. The Latin root, amigo, imago.

01:39:56.900 What other words share the root? Imagination. Imagine. Image. And the imaginal cells, they use

01:40:08.020 the goo to reconstruct an entirely new organism. So the caterpillar cells dissolve entirely into

01:40:19.960 itself. And what comes from this process is an entirely new being. I believe this biological

01:40:31.700 metaphor is the most profound of any example of transformation that exists. So to bring it

01:40:40.180 full circle to us, we are the caterpillar. We're fighting the goo. This is the darkness before the

01:40:48.500 dawn. It's unbelievable getting a window into who's been lecturing to us from the CNN set for

01:41:00.560 for almost 15 years, right? I was going to say, there is a serious angle to this, which, by the

01:41:05.600 way, I didn't even finish that TED Talk because I was so horrified by the beginning of it. Like,

01:41:09.720 it was making my skin crawl. It was inducing a level of secondhand embarrassment that I don't

01:41:14.320 think was survivable for more than 30 seconds, but I guess we just proved it wrong. I hear you.

01:41:18.240 I mean, Lord have mercy. Brooke Baldwin is also clearly in the same category as Jim Acosta,

01:41:27.440 as Don Lemon, as Terry Moran, as these people who were at, quote unquote, mainstream media

01:41:34.140 purchase, very celebrated journalists at the top of their field, who for years were telling us that

01:41:38.520 they were just neutral observers. And then when they need to get money, because they're thrust

01:41:43.000 out of this high paying mainstream, quote unquote, mainstream media gig, they turn and totally just

01:41:50.280 reveal themselves to be left wing ideologues. She's been thirst tagging James Tallarico in posts.

01:41:56.120 She's been hanging out with Nicole Hannah-Jones of the 1619 Project.

01:42:00.120 Like, also, there's the, like, terrible confessional writing angle of all of this,

01:42:04.680 which it reminds me of somebody who wants to, like, be Alina Dunham,

01:42:09.000 but doesn't have any of the talent of Alina Dunham,

01:42:11.240 and just wants to kind of, like, exploit her exploits.

01:42:15.000 It's all, there's this novel from 1973 called Fear of Flying by Erika Zhang

01:42:19.960 that I feel like really started this, like, feminist confessional writing

01:42:23.480 in a way where it's like you're supposed to be very proud

01:42:25.500 about your sexual

01:42:27.440 conquests as a woman, which most 1.00

01:42:29.400 women... Even though she's made none? 1.00

01:42:31.600 If you paid for that,

01:42:34.020 as I bet producer

01:42:35.300 Steve did, you should get your money back.

01:42:37.560 Send an email. I know.

01:42:39.180 That's terrible. No, producer Steve would

01:42:41.360 like you to know he did not. Debbie Murphy did it.

01:42:43.520 Canadian Debbie did it. God bless you, Debbie. 1.00

01:42:45.180 This is like...

01:42:46.520 She's posting this online of her

01:42:49.200 doing acrobatic yoga poses 1.00

01:42:51.140 so we can see her ass. Those bikini 0.99

01:42:53.300 photos are from her social media. She wants us to see her in a bikini. I'm like, I guess you've 0.98

01:42:57.820 given up your news job because very few news women would actually post bikini photos of them.

01:43:03.060 Even if they look great, they are too reserved, too professional, too intent on maintaining a

01:43:09.520 professional relationship with the audience to do such a thing. She's referring to herself as

01:43:13.880 a sapiosexual, meaning she's attracted to brains. What do you mean? Like you're fucking human. 0.81

01:43:18.860 everybody is attracted to brains what are you like she said anybody keeps telling you how smart they 1.00

01:43:23.980 are and how like she'll only have sex with a smart guy probably isn't this is getting more pathetic 0.99

01:43:30.280 by the day i don't know if cnn did this to her or just didn't catch this about her but i'm starting 0.99

01:43:35.840 to think jeff zucker was the he was on the right side i think i'm on his side emily he's the hero

01:43:42.420 of the story i think she's stuck in 2020 like this might have worked with her small circle of like

01:43:46.500 New York City feminists at the time, but doesn't anymore. 1.00

01:43:49.640 No, fell flat.

01:43:51.240 Emily, great to see you.

01:43:52.280 See you on the next hour.

01:43:53.400 Tomorrow, Chris Hansen, formerly of To Catch a Predator.

01:43:56.940 See you then.

01:43:59.760 Thanks for listening to The Megyn Kelly Show.

01:44:01.680 No BS, no agenda, and no fear.
