00:02:30.340 On Tuesday, President Trump holding his sixth cabinet meeting since returning to office in January.
00:02:39.600 The nearly two-hour meeting covering a wide array of topics, including the latest on the Texas flood rescue efforts,
00:02:45.340 the newly signed One Big Beautiful Bill Act, Jeffrey Epstein, immigration, and more.
00:02:50.120 And unlike the last administration, this one was on full display for the public and press to see and ask questions.
00:02:56.620 Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, kicking off the meeting with the latest on the catastrophic flooding in Texas.
00:03:03.240 More than 100 people dying, dozens more yet to be accounted for, including 10 missing children still from the Camp Mystic Girls Camp.
00:03:11.740 Secretary Noem sharing the heartbreaking stories of some of the survivors she met with.
00:03:16.780 I hugged him and I said, do you work here?
00:03:18.900 And he said, no, my little girl was in that cabin.
00:03:21.400 And he said, and I just found her best friend about an hour and a half ago.
00:03:25.180 She had passed away.
00:03:25.980 But then there was another, the grandpa was there looking for his granddaughter as well.
00:03:31.340 There was a dad there of one of the counselors.
00:03:34.120 The counselor was alive, but she was dealing with the fact that she had hung on to some of these girls
00:03:39.140 and was trying to keep them out of the floodwaters and had gotten hit by something and had lost two of the girls
00:03:46.660 and wasn't able to hang on to them and was going to live the rest of her life thinking about that moment
00:03:51.800 when she wasn't able to hang on to these girls.
00:03:53.940 The strength of people is incredible.
00:03:57.120 President Trump and the First Lady set to visit Central Texas on Friday.
00:04:01.120 The cabinet meeting then turning to the recent successes of the Trump administration.
00:04:05.900 Treasury Secretary Scott Besson sharing the latest stats on income from President Trump's tariffs.
00:04:10.820 We will have taken in about $100 billion in tariff income thus far this year.
00:04:17.500 And that's with the tariffs, the major tariffs not having started until the second quarter.
00:04:23.000 So we could expect that that could be well over $300 billion by the end of the year.
00:04:27.960 We don't agree with CBO scoring.
00:04:30.020 But for those who do, the CBO scored tariff income over the next 10 years at $2.8 trillion,
00:04:37.280 which we think is probably low.
00:04:39.500 This as the administration is sending letters to 14 countries informing their leaders of a new tariff rate
00:04:45.000 taking effect on August 1st.
00:04:47.540 President Trump next chiding Democrats for voting against the One Big Beautiful Bill Act
00:04:52.260 and criticizing left-wing talking points around the legislation.
00:04:56.060 And I want to, you know, scold the Democrats because they're voting for tax cuts.
00:05:01.920 They're voting for no tax on tips, no tax on social security, no tax on overtime.
00:05:08.140 And, you know, many, many other things far more important than that.
00:05:12.200 Great health care.
00:05:13.500 And frankly, every Democrat should lose their election because it was purely political.
00:05:18.380 They were told not to vote for it.
00:05:19.740 I think it's incredible when I watch the Democrats and they have standard lines like that,
00:05:24.780 Russia, Russia, Russia, Russia, the laptop from hell, it all came from Russia.
00:05:29.080 You know, they make things up and they go with it and they feed it to you people in many cases.
00:05:34.660 And they said, here's the one.
00:05:36.140 And I hear the new line is death.
00:05:38.260 Oh, it's death.
00:05:39.120 Everyone's going to die.
00:05:40.700 It's nothing to do with death.
00:05:41.840 In fact, we're saving our country.
00:05:43.780 Death is from allowing 25 million people into our country, of which three or four are stone
00:05:50.320 cold, hard criminals.
00:05:52.940 11,888 are murderers, many of them committing more than one murder.
00:05:58.140 That's death.
00:05:58.840 And the Democrats did that.
00:06:00.080 Joe Biden did that by allowing people to come in here just totally unchecked, unvetted,
00:06:06.420 open borders, open borders.
00:06:08.280 The whole world was dumped into our country.
00:06:10.600 President Trump turning his attention to the media coverage surrounding the successful
00:06:14.860 military strike against critical Iranian nuclear facilities.
00:06:18.860 We had a lot of fake reporting, mostly from CNN.
00:06:21.920 They came up with this concept that maybe the attack wasn't that good.
00:06:26.940 Maybe it and I saw it happen right after the attack.
00:06:29.660 I saw this person on CNN.
00:06:31.220 I actually watch.
00:06:31.860 I like to watch the enemy.
00:06:33.460 You learn from the enemy.
00:06:34.540 And I watch her say, Anderson, you know, I'm hearing stories that maybe they didn't hit
00:06:40.800 their target.
00:06:41.700 Maybe it wasn't that good a hit.
00:06:44.100 And hearing stories.
00:06:45.540 The next day, it was a little more.
00:06:47.020 And the next day, a little more.
00:06:48.160 After three, four days, she was saying, you know, I don't know.
00:06:51.920 I don't think it was that.
00:06:52.900 And you had to fire that reporter immediately.
00:06:55.540 You should fire her.
00:06:56.460 I was like confronting because otherwise the public doesn't know that you're a bunch of
00:06:59.800 crooked people and the media has to straighten out their act.
00:07:02.940 You know, the media is down to 17 percent approval.
00:07:05.900 You got to do a little better than that.
00:07:07.520 It's important for the country that you do better.
00:07:09.540 I think they ought to make a lot of changes.
00:07:11.140 I think changes are going to be made to the media, but it's hard to have a really successful
00:07:14.920 country if you have a corrupt media.
00:07:17.840 Then a tense exchange on the FBI and DOJ's announcement that there is no Jeffrey Epstein
00:07:23.680 client list, no evidence the convicted sex offender blackmailed high profile figures,
00:07:28.640 and no more information would be released from the investigation.
00:07:33.260 Your memo and release yesterday of Jeffrey Epstein left some lingering mysteries.
00:07:38.060 One of the biggest ones is whether he ever worked for an American or foreign intelligence
00:07:43.740 agency.
00:07:44.780 So could you resolve whether or not he did?
00:07:46.900 And also, could you say why there was a minute missing from the jailhouse tape?
00:07:50.400 Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein?
00:07:53.080 This guy's been talked about for years.
00:07:54.980 You're asking, we have Texas, we have this, we have all of the things.
00:08:00.580 And are people still talking about this guy, this creep?
00:08:03.900 That is unbelievable.
00:08:06.460 Do you want to waste the time and do you feel like answering?
00:08:09.440 I don't mind answering.
00:08:10.720 I mean, I can't believe you're asking a question on Epstein at a time like this where we're having
00:08:15.240 some of the greatest success and also tragedy with what happened in Texas.
00:08:21.100 It just seems like a desecration.
00:08:23.020 But you go ahead.
00:08:24.840 Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is facing criticism from many on the right for her past
00:08:29.040 comments on the existence of the Epstein client list, then weighing in.
00:08:33.940 Sure, sure.
00:08:34.760 First, to back up on that, in February, I did an interview on Fox and it's been getting a
00:08:39.420 lot of attention because I said I was asked a question about the client list.
00:08:45.260 And my response was, it's sitting on my desk to be reviewed, meaning the file along with
00:08:53.660 the JFK, MLK files as well.
00:08:57.280 That's what I meant by that.
00:08:59.140 Also, to the tens of thousands of video, they turned out to be child porn downloaded by that
00:09:04.820 disgusting Jeffrey Epstein.
00:09:06.940 Child porn is what they were.
00:09:08.540 Never going to be released.
00:09:09.820 Never going to see the light of day.
00:09:11.200 To him being an agent, I have no knowledge about that.
00:09:14.760 We can get back to you on that.
00:09:16.800 And the minute missing from the video, what we learned from Bureau of Prisons was every
00:09:21.940 night they redo that video.
00:09:24.240 It's old from like 1999.
00:09:26.080 So every night the video is reset and every night should have the same minute missing.
00:09:31.940 President Trump facing recent backlash from his MAGA base following comments last Thursday,
00:09:36.980 pitching a path for illegal alien farm workers to remain in the country.
00:09:41.800 Mr. Trump clarifying those comments.
00:09:44.340 There's no amnesty.
00:09:45.680 What we're doing is we're getting rid of criminals, but we are doing a work program.
00:09:50.420 Do you want to explain that, please?
00:09:51.640 Obviously, this president's vision of no amnesty, mass deportation continues, but in a strategic
00:09:58.020 way and then ensuring that our farmers have the labor that they need.
00:10:02.340 But moving toward automation, ensuring that our farmers have that workforce and moving
00:10:06.980 toward an American workforce.
00:10:08.520 Give the farmers the people they need, but we're not talking amnesty.
00:10:13.420 President Trump winding down the meeting with an art tour of the room, telling the story
00:10:17.940 behind a recently added grandfather clock.
00:10:20.940 So as president, you have the power.
00:10:23.620 If I go into the State Department or Department of Commerce or Treasury, if I see anything that
00:10:29.380 I like, I'm allowed to take it, do you believe this?
00:10:33.380 So I'm in Marco's, I see this gorgeous clock, grandfather clock, and there it is.
00:10:39.640 I said, Marco, Marco, I love this clock.
00:10:42.200 Look at it.
00:10:42.820 It's beautiful.
00:10:44.420 He said, what clock?
00:10:45.520 I said, I tried to talk him into it first.
00:10:48.340 I said, I'd love to take that clock out and put it in the cabinet room.
00:10:51.900 He said, no, are you serious?
00:10:53.740 I said, Marco, I have the right to do it, Marco.
00:10:56.640 You know, and he said, all right, what the hell?
00:10:59.300 That's his contribution to the cabinet room.
00:11:03.860 On Monday evening, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House surprising
00:11:08.600 President Trump with a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize.
00:11:12.600 The president has already realized great opportunities.
00:11:16.400 He forged the Abraham Accords.
00:11:18.520 He's forging peace as we speak in one country, in one region after the other.
00:11:23.180 So I want to present to you, Mr. President, the letter I sent to the Nobel Prize Committee.
00:11:30.720 It's nominated of you for the Peace Prize, which is well-deserved, and you should get it.
00:11:35.540 Thank you very much.
00:11:36.560 This I didn't know.
00:11:38.700 Well, thank you very much.
00:11:41.040 Thank you.
00:11:41.500 Coming from you in particular, this is very meaningful.
00:11:44.340 Thank you very much, baby.
00:11:45.480 Thank you.
00:11:45.960 Thank you for everything you're doing.
00:11:47.020 Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize after just 10 months in office for his alleged
00:11:52.880 efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples, especially,
00:12:00.380 they said, his reach out to the Muslim world.
00:12:02.980 The chairman of the Nobel Committee said they were influenced by Mr. Obama's efforts on climate
00:12:08.440 change and his support for the United Nations.
00:12:11.960 Many felt the award was utterly undeserved.
00:12:15.620 Since taking office just six months ago, the Trump administration brokering several major
00:12:20.880 peace agreements, the cessation of war between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda,
00:12:26.140 the de-escalation of a rapidly intensifying conflict between nuclear powers, India and Pakistan,
00:12:32.120 and of course, a ceasefire between Israel and Iran following a successful U.S. military
00:12:37.400 strike on three key Iranian nuclear facilities.
00:12:40.160 That's in addition to fostering the Abraham Accords in his first term and his current efforts
00:12:45.920 to secure an end to the wars in Ukraine and Gaza.
00:12:49.400 In the Tuesday cabinet meeting, the president and special envoy Steve Witkoff delivering an
00:12:54.140 update on the Gaza negotiations.
00:12:56.600 Gaza is a tragic, it's a tragedy.
00:13:00.220 And he wants to get it solved and I want to get it solved.
00:13:02.860 And I think the other side wants to get it solved.
00:13:05.080 Steve, could you talk on that, please?
00:13:06.440 We're in proximity talks now.
00:13:09.560 And we had four issues and now we're down to one after two days of proximity talks.
00:13:15.300 So we are hopeful that by the end of this week, we will have an agreement that will bring us into a 60-day ceasefire.
00:13:23.060 Ten live hostages will be released.
00:13:26.380 Nine deceased will be released.
00:13:29.420 We're meeting at the president's direction with all the hostage families to let them know.
00:13:35.140 And we think that this will lead to a lasting peace in Gaza.
00:13:41.080 Coming up, an Obama-appointed judge blocking the provision in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act that defunds Planned Parenthood.
00:13:48.780 And a Secretary of State Marco Rubio impersonator is on the loose.
00:13:53.700 We'll be right back.

00:14:59.580 A federal judge temporarily blocking a provision within the One Big Beautiful Bill Act revoking Medicaid funding from Planned Parenthood.
00:15:09.920 The provision of the bill bans Medicaid funding for one year to large reproductive health nonprofits providing elective abortions, even if the payments are for other services.
00:15:19.560 Though the Big Beautiful Bill does not specifically name Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider, that organization is clearly the intended target.
00:15:29.120 This provision considered a major win for the pro-life movement.
00:15:32.880 Planned Parenthood Federation of America and two state affiliates filing suit on Monday, arguing the federal law unfairly punishes the group without a trial, that it violates the due process clause of the Fifth Amendment, and that it violates the First Amendment.
00:15:46.400 Planned Parenthood arguing clinics in 24 states could face closure as a result of the stripped funding.
00:15:52.500 President Obama appointed U.S. District Court Judge Indira Talwani, who issued a 14-day temporary restraining order, quote,
00:16:00.480 Defendants shall take all steps necessary to ensure that Medicaid funding continues to be dispersed in the customary manner and timeframes to Planned Parenthood Federation of America and its members, Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts, and Planned Parenthood Association of Utah.
00:16:14.760 The judge declining to provide any explanation in her two-page order, this lawsuit coming less than two weeks after a Supreme Court ruling that permits South Carolina to exclude Planned Parenthood from its Medicaid programs, even for non-abortion services like the Big Beautiful Bill does with the federal money, rendering this federal court ruling especially shaky and unlikely to withstand appeal.
00:16:39.460 In response to this latest injunction, a White House official telling CBS News, quote,
00:16:44.740 The Trump administration is ending the forced use of federal taxpayer dollars to fund or promote elective abortion, a common-sense position that the overwhelming majority of Americans agree with.
00:16:55.640 Attorney General Pam Bondi responding to the ruling from the Tuesday cabinet meeting.
00:16:59.240 It looks like we have a rogue judge, an Obama-backed rogue judge, that is attempting to block the funding to Planned Parenthood, which the big, beautiful bill cuts off the funding to Planned Parenthood. Any plans to challenge that?
00:17:12.500 Absolutely. Yes, we're on it.
00:17:15.000 An appeal is expected.
00:17:16.400 A Secretary of State Marco Rubio imposter on the loose, according to a State Department document obtained by The Washington Post.
00:17:26.260 According to the July 3rd cable, the culprit, using artificial intelligence to mimic the Secretary's speaking and writing style, quote,
00:17:33.460 The suspect, who has not yet been identified, left voicemails and in one case sent a text message inviting the target to chat on Signal.
00:17:49.380 The impersonation reportedly beginning mid-June, the imposter creating a Signal account with the display name marco.rubio at state.gov.
00:17:58.420 That display name is not the Secretary's real address.
00:18:01.260 It is unclear if any of the targets responded to the imposter.
00:18:05.620 The State Department telling The Post it will, quote,
00:18:07.820 carry out a thorough investigation and continue to implement safeguards to prevent this from happening in the future.
00:18:13.920 As if Marco Rubio doesn't have enough to do already.
00:18:19.200 Well, that'll do it for your AM update.
