00:01:38.100 The White House turning away reporters from three major news outlets following a truth
00:01:42.780 social post from President Trump announcing they've been banned. President Trump announcing

00:03:13.540 calling an AI force while also saying he will appoint an artificial intelligence czar. The
00:03:19.640 news coming as he dismisses fears about the technology, calling them, quote, a hoax.
00:03:24.900 In a Saturday post on Truth Social, Mr. Trump lumping in concerns about AI, together with
00:03:30.060 a list of what he calls Democrat-driven hoaxes like global warming and men belonging in women's
00:03:35.920 sports, and saying he will not stand by while opponents try to destroy the industry.
00:03:41.220 The president writing, quote, we will not in any way hinder or stifle the growth of
00:03:45.620 this incredible industry. Rather, we will cherish it, help it, and watch over it as it grows.
00:03:51.160 However, we will also be looking for bad, and we can do that very easily with our already existing
00:03:56.820 criminal and civil justice system. For this purpose, I am forming the AI force, much like I
00:04:02.280 did Space Force, which has been a tremendous success. Mr. Trump also posting an online poll
00:04:07.880 on X asking followers whether AI or artificial intelligence should be renamed superior, extreme,
00:04:15.020 or supreme intelligence. Trump later saying supreme intelligence was losing badly and
00:04:20.740 reducing the choice to extreme or superior intelligence. White House Science and Technology
00:04:27.080 Policy Director Michael Kratzios explaining the need for such a force on Fox News Sunday.
00:04:33.540 I think the thing that he's describing is how important it is that we as an administration
00:04:38.040 coordinate in order to make sure that this great technological innovation that's transforming the
00:04:42.580 country, of its driving economic growth, continues to do so. And these implications of AI spread
00:04:49.300 across so many different agencies. So to be able to have someone at the White House to be able to
00:04:53.420 work on all those issues across the agencies is really critical.
00:04:56.780 Kratzios also addressing the concerns throughout the industry, although falsely painting them as
00:05:02.860 solely a leftist worry. These calls from the left on the Hill are fear-mongering. And it's
00:05:09.020 something that they're attempting to do before the election, and that's just not fair to the
00:05:13.120 American people. If you want to do good technology policy on AI, you're not going to run to the hill
00:05:18.260 and sort it out in a couple days. The second piece around the AI companies themselves,
00:05:23.220 it's very interesting that they talk about these issues, about how scared they are about
00:05:27.340 potentially where the future is, and maybe they want to do a pause. Our position is,
00:05:31.560 if you do believe that you're developing a technology that is unsafe or you don't want
00:05:36.360 out in the world, you can just stop it. You don't need someone to force you to do that. And I think
00:05:41.260 that's what's been a bit confusing about this whole narrative. So there's leaders of these
00:05:44.880 companies that are going out and saying, we're going to do all these measures, the government
00:05:48.320 has to do all these things, when in reality, they just need to slow down if they feel that they need
00:05:53.060 to do so. The pressure over AI regulation ramping up over the past few weeks, following former
00:05:58.960 anthropic researcher Jacob Coxon's public resignation and viral warning that the technology
00:06:04.260 could end humanity in a matter of years. Senator Bernie Sanders proposing a one-time
00:06:09.760 50% tax on AI and a ban on parts of it. Meantime, former President Barack Obama on Saturday discussing
00:06:16.940 the issue at an event at Colgate University, saying the technology is not overhyped,
00:06:22.060 and with it comes a small but very real risk. What is happening right now is we have reached
00:06:29.440 this point of what's called recursive learning, where essentially, and we had anticipated this,
00:06:36.440 but we're now seeing it, the machines are starting to be able to teach themselves.
00:06:41.260 They don't have to wait for humans to start figuring things out. It doesn't mean that they
00:06:49.860 are necessarily feel malice towards humans. It's just that if they start setting their own agendas,
00:06:57.780 you may get a misalignment between what they want to do and what we want them to do,
00:07:06.080 and that gap can be dangerous.
00:07:08.540 Some prominent figures in the industry, like NVIDIA's Jensen Huang,
00:07:12.600 believe this Doomer talk is overblown.

00:08:23.340 The White House press pool getting a bit smaller over the weekend following President Trump
00:08:28.920 announcing a ban of CNN, MSNOW, and Politico on Friday. Mr. Trump writing on Truth Social that
00:08:36.080 he is, quote, banning fake news CNN, MSNOW, who recently changed their name from MSNBC due to
00:08:42.460 lack of viewership and credibility, and Politico, end quote, from the White House due to their,
00:08:48.480 quote, constant reporting fake news. The president warning he might extend the ban to other outlets.
00:08:55.340 Mr. Trump taking questions regarding the ban's legality in the Oval Office following the
00:08:59.820 announcement on Friday. I don't think somebody should be allowed to come in and write fake
00:09:04.260 stories. They're fake news. And that's why they have no credibility. That's why. So I had 96 percent
00:09:11.380 negative coverage during the election and I won because they have no credibility. I got 96.

00:10:13.300 MS Now's Akela Gardner, CNN's Betsy Kline, and Politico's Cheyenne Hazlitt and barring their
00:10:20.100 entry. Here Gardner speaking about her experience on MS Now. I arrived here as I do many days of
00:10:26.980 the week, many weekends, and I walked through the first entrance gate. I said good morning to the
00:10:31.600 officers. I was able to walk through freely. Then I entered the second gate with no issues. I showed
00:10:36.880 my badge. And then once I was inside where we have magnetometers, I attempted to scan my badge,
00:10:43.700 which we have to do and able to get into the White House grounds. It did not work. There was a red
00:10:48.940 beeping light. And so the officer asked me to hand over my badge. He said that it was disabled. I
00:10:54.700 asked why I was not able to get inside. He said it was above him. And then our producer after me
00:11:00.600 also scanned her badge and it actually worked. She was able to get through and into the White 0.91
00:11:05.820 House. But I want to say not just me, but also our photographer had their badge taken this morning,
00:11:10.680 of course, after President Trump made clear that he wants to ban MSNOW, CNN and Politico.
00:11:16.460 Yesterday, our journalists were able to stay here working on the White House grounds.
00:11:20.100 This is the first action we know of of them actually denying us entry into the White House.
00:11:26.480 During Mr. Trump's first term, the White House losing a legal fight over CNN reporter Jim Acosta's
00:11:31.440 revoked press pass, with his credentials eventually being restored. In February 2025,

00:11:44.740 Amendment grounds, then lost on appeal and the litigation remains pending. All three recently
00:11:50.320 banned outlets say they will fight the ban, with First Amendment experts calling the move

00:13:50.780 you're out of here. It's unimaginable. But the point I'm making here is that if you have
00:13:58.100 a certain cohort, let's call it 30 to 35 percent of the country right now, which thinks that's
00:14:03.320 okay, well, what that means is we have not developed the kind of understanding of what
00:14:09.340 democracy requires. And we've got to shore that back up. I don't think that's inevitable.

00:16:33.600 no U.S. adversary can ever have a base in Greenland,

00:16:41.400 without our express written approval. Danish and Greenlandic leaders spinning it a bit differently.
00:16:48.740 Denmark's Prime Minister, Meta Fredriksen, writing in a statement, quote,
00:16:52.560 I am glad there is a prospect of a good agreement for Greenland, the Kingdom of Denmark and the USA,
00:16:58.820 an agreement that strengthens our collective security in the Arctic and the North Atlantic
00:17:03.280 region and is also good for NATO and Europe, and an agreement that at the same time recognizes the
00:17:08.960 Kingdom's sovereignty and territorial integrity and the right of the Greenlandic people to
00:17:14.020 self-determination. A U.S. military official telling the New York Times that American forces
00:17:19.600 will work alongside their Danish and Greenlandic counterparts and will not take charge. Mr. Trump's
00:17:26.240 initial position in the early days of his second term related to Greenland was that anything less
00:17:31.100 than the U.S. ownership was unacceptable, but Mr. Trump often seeks maximalist positions and
00:17:37.540 ultimately settles for something less, a tactic outlined in his Art of the Deal book.
00:17:43.540 Since then, negotiators meeting roughly once a month in Washington. U.S. military officials
00:17:48.440 have recently been visiting Greenland to look at reopening old Cold War bases. Only one,
00:17:54.200 Bidoufique Space Base, is currently still operational. Secretary of State Marco Rubio
00:17:59.260 indicating U.S. ownership of Greenland is no longer a goal, writing on X, quote,
00:18:03.940 Greenland will forever be part of the strategic defense area of North America and exclude
00:18:09.160 any adversary from it and the surrounding area. This deal permanently and completely
00:18:14.660 addresses our national security concerns in Greenland. U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Mike
00:18:20.000 Waltz explaining just how crucial this deal is for American security on CNN's State of the Union
00:18:25.700 yesterday. The Arctic is something that the president has been focused on as part of protecting
00:18:32.700 the United States. People should understand that if we're ever attacked by any type of
00:18:39.100 intercontinental missiles, they'll come over the Arctic. Our radars, our sensors are incredibly
00:18:44.620 important up there. They need to be defended. We need to have full access. Now, President Trump
00:18:49.780 has an icebreaker deal in place with Finland. He has the spending that he's driving coming out of
00:18:57.100 NATO and will now have the full access and basing that we need for Iron Dome, access to critical
00:19:03.040 minerals, access to the energy reserves that are up there. And importantly, we're starting to see
00:19:08.900 shipping flow through as the ice retreats. We're starting to see shipping bypass checkpoints or
00:19:15.120 global choke points like the Suez Canal, Panama Canal, Straits of Hormuz and go over the top
00:19:21.160 through the Arctic. So it's incredibly important. Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert
00:19:26.920 of Colorado, strongly denying allegations that she had sexual relations with three of her staff
00:19:32.880 members, including two women. The House of Representatives ethics complaint filed Thursday.
00:19:38.520 It names former district director Clarice Navarro-Ratzlaff, former chief of staff Jeremy
00:19:43.560 Small, and current district chief of staff Raven Finnegan as Boebert's staffers. The complaint,
00:19:50.180 not stemming from an investigation from inside the House of Representatives,
00:19:53.440 It was instead filed by David Wheeler, who leads an anti-GOP political action committee called
00:20:00.260 American Muckrakers. He alleges the relationship between Boebert and Navarro Ratzlaff began in
00:20:06.300 2021 and involved campaign-funded hotel rooms. Wheeler claims Ratzlaff received a $200,000 payout
00:20:13.500 last year after threatening to file her own ethics complaint. Wheeler says his filing relies
00:20:19.240 on House financial disclosures and unnamed sources. When it comes to the $200,000 in
00:20:24.400 alleged hush money, the report states, quote, the source of the funds is presently unknown.
00:20:30.040 The report does not detail the accusations regarding Small or Finnegan. The 39-year-old
00:20:35.280 congresswoman denying the accusations in a statement to Sources Say News, quote,
00:20:41.080 while I'm not a lesbian or bisexual, and I have never, ever been in any inappropriate relationship,
00:20:46.420 nor have I ever been sexually involved with any staff.
00:20:50.080 Her office calling the claims, quote, utterly false.
00:20:53.000 Last night, Boebert addressing it directly in a video on X.
00:20:57.120 Nobody in your newsroom checked the rulebook before they put my team's names in your stories.
00:21:03.520 Their photos are everywhere now, and they are under attack because of your laziness.
00:21:09.960 You are all aware that this is coming from the same desperate hack CNN caught in 2022
00:21:15.600 publishing a photo of another woman as me and also failing to prove a host of other lies that
00:21:21.560 he's created about me. You ran this story anyway. I hope you think about the impact that this could
00:21:27.820 have on them and their families the next time you rush to print without doing a little bit of
00:21:34.500 research. So while you sit back and think of how you can do your jobs better, I am going to continue
00:21:40.500 serving Colorado's 4th District. I hate to spoil the fan fiction, but y'all need to do better.

00:22:10.500 Mr. Wheeler, who has gone after Boebert for years, has a history of factually dubious
00:22:15.800 reporting. His past claims include allegations that the Colorado Congresswoman previously worked
00:22:20.960 as an escort, according to the New York Post, though critics quickly blasting that claim when
00:22:26.500 he used a picture of someone who was not Lauren Boebert. In 2022, Boebert issuing a restraining
00:22:32.940 order against Wheeler after the report, though a judge eventually dismissing that case, according
00:22:37.540 to Colorado Public Radio. Boebert threatening to sue Wheeler for defamation before Wheeler beat
00:22:42.840 her to the punch and filing his own defamation lawsuit against her back in 2023, claiming her
00:22:49.020 denials of his reporting were defamatory lies. That case settled out of court, per The Post.
