00:00:30.260 Things just keep getting worse for Joe Biden.
00:00:33.540 The president has lots of challenges, as we all know.
00:00:36.880 But probably his most significant political challenge is that he can't speak very well.
00:00:42.760 In politics, you need to speak.
00:00:44.380 That's how you do politics.
00:00:45.920 Biden used to speak pretty well, just fine.
00:00:48.420 But now he's old and senile, and he doesn't speak very well.
00:00:52.080 And he's blaming it on a childhood stutter that disappeared for 70 years.
00:00:55.280 But we all know the problem is just that he's lost a step.
00:00:57.780 So this is a problem for him.
00:00:59.480 But it is not insurmountable.
00:01:02.040 From the 2020 campaign up until now, Joe Biden has generally avoided speaking.
00:01:08.300 He's avoided taking questions from the press.
00:01:10.860 He's had everything laid out in the teleprompter.
00:01:12.820 Even that doesn't help him very much.
00:01:14.700 He's let his press secretary, Jen Psaki, do the talking for him.
00:01:19.620 It's worked out about as well as could be expected.
00:01:22.960 Now, Jen Psaki has left that job.
00:01:26.980 Karine Jean-Pierre is in.
00:01:29.560 And it turns out the new girl has the same problem that Joe Biden has.
00:01:34.660 The president's Twitter account posted the other day,
00:01:37.640 you want to bring down inflation, let's make sure the wealthiest corporations pay their fair share.
00:01:42.440 How does raising taxes on corporations reduce inflation?
00:01:49.080 So are you talking about a specific tweet?
00:01:53.040 He tweeted, you want to bring down inflation, let's make sure the wealthiest corporations pay their fair share.
00:01:58.580 Look, you know, we have talked about we have talked about this this past year about making sure that the wealthiest among us are paying their fair share.
00:02:09.460 And that is important to do.
00:02:11.500 And that is something that, you know, the president has been, you know, working on every day when we talk about inflation and lowering costs.
00:02:18.960 And so it's very important that, you know, as we're seeing costs rise, as we're talking about how to, you know, you know, build an America that's safe, that's equal for everyone and doesn't leave everyone behind.
00:02:32.980 That is an important part of that as well.
00:02:36.520 If if Charlie Kelly from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia were trying to answer this question,
00:02:42.840 he would not have been less coherent than Karine Jean-Pierre here.
00:02:47.600 This is so embarrassing.
00:02:49.640 It's embarrassing on so many levels.
00:02:51.080 One, she's completely unprepared.
00:02:53.360 She didn't even know about this tweet that Joe Biden sent, which obviously is going to come up because it was such an opening for the conservatives.
00:03:00.960 The way we're going to bring down inflation is by raising the taxes on corporations.
00:03:05.020 There is almost no connection whatsoever between raising taxes on corporations and inflation.
00:03:11.900 These are completely separate issues.
00:03:13.200 So not only was she unprepared, she didn't know what the tweet was that was going to be referenced.
00:03:18.320 But second, she didn't have an answer.
00:03:20.640 She actually just said, she goes, oh, yes, well, we raising taxes on corporations is something that we have talked about because because we want to raise taxes on corporations.
00:03:29.880 And so we and filibuster and bird law and it's it's like a sketch from Always Sunny.
00:03:35.580 It's a it's a long answer.
00:03:37.120 I have to play you the rest of it.
00:03:38.760 But how does raising taxes on corporations lower the cost of gas, the cost of a used car, the cost of food for everyday Americans?
00:03:48.140 So, look, I think we encourage those who have done very well.
00:03:50.880 Right. Especially those who care about climate change to support a fair tax code that doesn't change that doesn't charge manufacturers, workers, cops, builders, a higher percentage of their earnings that the most fortunate people in our nation and not let this that stand in the way of reducing energy costs and fighting this existential problem.
00:04:12.220 If you think about that as an example and to support basic collective bargaining rights as well.
00:04:17.760 Right. That's also important.
00:04:18.800 But look, it is, you know, by not without having a fairer tax code, which is what I'm talking about, then all like manufacturing workers, cops, you know, it's not fair for them to have to pay higher taxes than the folks that who are who are who are not paying taxes at all.
00:04:36.800 Uh, Kareen, we're going to just try it again. How does this one thing, raising taxes on corporations, how does that have anything to do with the totally unrelated different thing?
00:04:47.860 Uh, climate change, climate change, workers, babies, freedom, equality, unions. Are you glitching out? Are you, is there, is there a bug in your system somehow? Absolutely pathetic, cringe inducing.
00:05:04.060 I almost, I almost, I almost feel bad for her, except that this is her job. When she was hired, when, when Kareen Jumpier was hired, Jen Psaki said that Kareen was a great choice because she's a black lesbian.
00:05:17.040 That was the first thing Jen Psaki said. She said, it's so great that Kareen got this job because she's a black lesbian.
00:05:22.020 And for some reason, it's really important that a black lesbian serve as press secretary. Couldn't tell you why.
00:05:28.240 Now, of course, I have nothing against black lesbians, more power to black lesbians.
00:05:33.500 Uh, it would seem to me that before the White House offered her the job of presidential spokesman, they might have considered making sure that the woman could actually speak.
00:05:44.180 This is a perfect encapsulation of the Democrats' most pressing challenge today.
00:05:49.100 They have no idea what their message is. I'm Michael Knowles. This is the Michael Knowles Show.
00:05:53.080 Welcome back to the show. Climate change, filibuster, workers, unions. I don't know. I've got a lot more to say, actually, than Kareen Jumpier does.
00:06:08.500 My favorite comment yesterday is from hashtag Nolstradamus, who says, Joe Biden says, I'm trying to carefully say this because he's trying to remember what they told him to say.
00:06:18.940 That's true. Yesterday, when we played that clip of Joe Biden launching this new phrase into the culture, ultra-maga, when he was trying to drop this phrase, he took a moment.
00:06:32.940 He took a beat and he said, well, the problem is these, hold on, I want to say this carefully, ultra-maga Republicans.
00:06:40.540 He actually was doing exactly what you're describing. He was taking a beat there because he knew that he had to drop this line and it was focus grouped for six months and this was going to be the new Democrat slogan and he couldn't quite remember it because he's not so fast on his feet.
00:06:55.560 I sort of excuse the 80-year-old president who was never the brightest bulb in the pack for having that little mental pause there.
00:07:03.940 I really don't excuse the young press secretary who's supposed to be much, much better at this, all right?
00:07:10.960 If you want something done right, sometimes you've got to do it yourself, which is why you've got to check out Rock Auto.
00:07:16.040 Right now, go to rockauto.com, write Knowles in their How Did You Hear About Us box.
00:07:20.240 There is a very good chance that whatever car or truck or minivan you drive has appreciated considerably over the last year.
00:07:27.000 Well, make sure you take care of that vehicle. You've got to go to rockauto.com.
00:07:31.560 Instead of going to the brick and mortar store, waiting online, you get up to the front, they don't have the part, there's just too many parts to stock and then you wait, you drive back, you waste all your time, you pay a lot of extra money.
00:07:42.940 Go to rockauto.com. These guys are the real deal. They're totally reliable.
00:07:46.300 They have been on this show, big supporters of this show, basically from day one, okay?
00:07:51.800 So I love them for that already and then their reliability and their loyalty supporting us, you see that same reliability and loyalty supporting auto parts customers online.
00:08:01.560 For 20 years, they've got a super easy to navigate catalog. The website's so simple to use, you know, even I can do it.
00:08:08.980 They've got the same prices for pros and do-it-yourselfers. They don't have any gimmicks or anything like that.
00:08:12.700 Go to rockauto.com for your auto parts. Write Knowles, K-N-W-L-E-S in their How Did You Hear About Us box so they know that we sent you.
00:08:20.260 Also, by the way, check out Jonathan Isaac's new book, Why I Stand, published with Daily Wire Books.
00:08:24.460 You know Daily Wire is taking over every single industry in the entire country.
00:08:27.200 Well, we got this great book with Jonathan Isaac. It's got important messages about faith, about courage, that everyone can benefit from.
00:08:35.160 So go check out Jonathan Isaac's book today. You can order it wherever great books are sold.
00:08:41.760 The Democrats cannot stay on message. They don't get it. Eric Swalwell just proved this.
00:08:48.640 You remember Eric Swalwell. He's best known for his incontinence on a CNN camera and for dropping out very, very early of the 2020 presidential primary and for sleeping with a Chinese spy.
00:09:01.280 Eric Swalwell tweeted out yesterday in an attempt to exploit the Buffalo massacre, the shooting that took place over the weekend.
00:09:08.360 He wanted to exploit it for his own political purposes.
00:09:10.380 And so he tweeted out, quote,
00:09:13.160 My four-year-old just FaceTimed to ask what I'm doing to help the people of Buffalo.
00:09:18.600 And why did the bad man do this? Absolutely gutting. This cannot be his normal.
00:09:24.720 I guess there's a typo there.
00:09:26.900 It's time to ban assault weapons. Hashtag end gun violence.
00:09:30.840 Never mind for a second that Swalwell is using such a deeply insincere and ridiculous tweet format.
00:09:42.540 People make fun of this.
00:09:43.660 They say, my three-year-old just called me and he asked me,
00:09:46.760 Daddy, how do we reconcile deontological and consequentialist ethics?
00:09:51.160 And I said, son, son, I don't know.
00:09:53.860 And then everyone in the TSA line applauded.
00:09:55.840 My 18-month-old baby just texted me and he said, Daddy, how do we resolve the Riemann hypothesis?
00:10:04.780 And I said, I don't know, sonny.
00:10:07.260 Let me go visit your Princeton math class.
00:10:10.640 And then everyone at Harvard applauded.
00:10:12.160 And this is the kind of format that everyone makes fun of.
00:10:14.680 It's become a meme.
00:10:15.720 And Eric Swalwell sent this out sincerely as though his four-year-old was FaceTiming him and asking him about these things.
00:10:21.960 But even worse for Swalwell, he's not on message.
00:10:26.020 He doesn't realize that while, of course, the Democrats are exploiting the mass shooting to advance their own political agenda,
00:10:32.440 they're not doing it on gun control right now.
00:10:36.140 The way that the Democrats are exploiting the tragedy is to try to incite a race war.
00:10:42.220 The way that the Democrats are currently exploiting the tragedy is to try to get Tucker Carlson fired.
00:10:47.580 That's what they're, they are going to get to gun control.
00:10:50.300 That is going to happen.
00:10:51.580 But they're not on it yet.
00:10:52.660 And so Swalwell, he's not even on the right moment of the messaging, of the propaganda, of the way that the Democrats are exploiting this tragedy.
00:11:02.220 Really embarrassing, though not surprising.
00:11:04.860 Eric Swalwell is not ready for prime time.
00:11:08.340 Megyn Kelly, our friend Megyn Kelly, just threw her hands in the air.
00:11:13.500 She was so furious at the way that the Democrats had been exploiting this tragedy.
00:11:17.640 She asked a simple question.
00:11:18.740 She said, hey, before all the political maneuvering, can we just take a couple minutes to mourn?
00:11:25.460 Some in the media have been quick to point fingers and even place blame on our friend and very popular Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
00:11:35.320 It's outrageous.
00:11:36.300 It's wrong, both factually and morally.
00:11:39.380 Why do we have to go to that place immediately on these stories?
00:11:43.880 Why can't we spend two minutes mourning the people who are dead and trying to understand that we have insane people in this country?
00:11:51.840 We have lunatics.
00:11:53.420 It's a huge country.
00:11:55.860 We're not going to be able to get rid of them all.
00:11:58.760 It infuriates me.
00:12:00.560 People have to inject their politics into everything.
00:12:02.720 And this guy had a racist manifesto.
00:12:04.580 There's no question.
00:12:05.500 That doesn't make it Tucker Carlson's fault.
00:12:07.300 Just stop it.
00:12:08.080 Just stop it.
00:12:10.820 Megan is so good at these sorts of stories, at telling these stories, especially with this kind of level of tragedy to it and really conveying what happened and who these people were.
00:12:23.940 And she's really, really good at that.
00:12:26.740 But in answer to her question, can't we take two minutes?
00:12:29.620 No, we can't.
00:12:31.120 We can't.
00:12:31.820 The Democrats will not let us do that.
00:12:34.060 The reason that we can't just take two minutes to mourn before this becomes political is because the only reason that the media are having us talk about this at all is to attack conservatives.
00:12:47.520 That's the whole point.
00:12:48.740 Now, when you want to protect yourself and your home and your family, you've got to check out Ring.
00:12:55.200 Right now, go to ring.com slash Knowles.
00:12:57.540 When it comes to home security, are you an amateur or are you a pro?
00:13:01.960 Now, you know I love Ring's video doorbell.
00:13:03.920 You can see and speak to whoever is at your door wherever you are, in the home, outside the home.
00:13:07.760 You know I love that.
00:13:08.520 You know I love Ring Alarm.
00:13:09.500 This is that award-winning home security system, lets you control for freeze, fire, flood, say that five times fast.
00:13:16.780 The bad guys, you can protect your home wherever you are, whether you're in the home, outside the home.
00:13:21.100 But have you gone pro?
00:13:22.840 Because Ring Alarm Pro is being hailed by CNET as a giant leap for home security.
00:13:27.980 When you go pro, you protect not just your physical home, but your digital home, your virtual home.
00:13:33.160 It includes protection for your Wi-Fi network.
00:13:35.360 You live so much of your life online.
00:13:36.880 You got to protect, you can't just protect the brick and mortar.
00:13:40.320 You got to protect the virtual life, too.
00:13:42.760 I love Ring.
00:13:43.940 Truly, it makes me feel much safer, much better, whether I'm at home, whether sweet little Lisa and the baby are at home,
00:13:48.960 whether we're all on vacation.
00:13:50.280 Go to ring.com slash Knowles.
00:13:52.100 That's ring.com slash Knowles.
00:13:54.720 Be like me.
00:13:55.460 Go pro.
00:13:56.580 Become a pro.
00:13:57.380 Ring.com slash Knowles.
00:13:59.720 Megyn Kelly says, can't we just mourn for two minutes before we politicize a tragedy like the shooting in Buffalo?
00:14:05.360 The answer is no, because if the shooting in Buffalo did not fit the predetermined Democrat narrative,
00:14:17.000 if the shooting in Buffalo did not serve to advance the Democrat political agenda,
00:14:21.040 we just would not be talking about it.
00:14:23.340 Maybe you would have heard about it.
00:14:24.760 It was a really horrific attack.
00:14:26.800 Maybe you would have heard about it for a day or two, but it would have just disappeared.
00:14:30.080 We wouldn't still be talking.
00:14:31.440 It would be like the Waukesha killing, where a black racist drove his car into a crowd and killed a lot of white people during a Christmas parade not that long ago.
00:14:41.720 Just, what, at the end of November?
00:14:44.140 And you would have heard about it for a day or two, and then it would have just disappeared,
00:14:46.780 because it wouldn't have served to advance the media's and the political establishment's agenda.
00:14:51.520 It would have been like the New York City subway shooting.
00:14:54.140 The New York City subway shooting was a black racist who went down there and shot lots and lots of people.
00:14:59.800 Over 20 people, I think, were injured in that shooting.
00:15:03.400 But it was a news story for a day or two, and then it just disappeared.
00:15:06.460 Had the shooter been white, it would have been a news story until today.
00:15:10.720 It would have been a news story for six months.
00:15:12.360 Same goes for Waukesha.
00:15:13.380 So, just a very technical answer to Megan's question, no, you won't get the two minutes to mourn.
00:15:20.040 We wouldn't be talking about it.
00:15:23.360 It's sick.
00:15:24.240 It's sick, and it's really sad that this is the way the media worked.
00:15:28.020 But the only reason that this is in the news, it's not the human tragedy.
00:15:36.060 It's not the sorrow that everyone feels for the victims' families and for the victims themselves.
00:15:41.500 It's not the anger that people feel at the shooter.
00:15:45.180 It is solely to be used as a cudgel to attack the political opponents of the media and of the political class.
00:15:54.240 There are really big shootings, really awful crimes committed all of the time that you will never hear of.
00:16:02.060 They might not be quite the gruesome scale of what happened in Buffalo, but some of them can be pretty close.
00:16:07.900 Did you hear about the story of, this was just a few months ago, in Los Angeles, of a woman celebrating her birthday, being targeted and killed in an ambush, where at least four people were killed.
00:16:19.940 I think more people were shot.
00:16:21.880 This woman's family, it was a birthday party, and just all gunned down, right?
00:16:26.000 I guarantee you, you never heard of that story, because that doesn't advance a political agenda.
00:16:30.980 Did you hear of the story?
00:16:31.640 Boy, this one was crazy.
00:16:32.580 This happened in Milwaukee just, gosh, just a few days ago, I think.
00:16:37.820 The press release came out on May 13th.
00:16:39.900 It's May 17th right now, where how many people?
00:16:43.540 That's eight.
00:16:44.700 16 people were shot.
00:16:47.120 16 people shot, and then, oh, maybe even more than that.
00:16:51.600 It was a mass, mass shooting in Milwaukee.
00:16:54.600 You didn't hear about that.
00:16:55.800 Of course you didn't hear about that.
00:16:57.820 Doesn't advance a political agenda.
00:16:59.300 So that's what this is about.
00:17:02.720 And if you want to understand the national conversation and all the calls that are coming
00:17:06.440 from Washington, you need to recognize that the only stories that will ever even get past
00:17:13.200 the threshold to become a topic of national conversation are the ones that permit the
00:17:17.580 establishment to attack conservatives.
00:17:19.580 So they're going after Tucker Carlson in particular now, but Republicans generally.
00:17:24.460 After the media have determined that the story advances their agenda, then you get Joe Biden
00:17:30.060 going in and saying, okay, I'm going to go to Buffalo.
00:17:32.500 He wouldn't go to Waukesha.
00:17:33.560 He said it required too many presidential assets.
00:17:35.280 There's no way he could make it to talk to the victims and the victims' families, but
00:17:38.440 he can go to Buffalo because Waukesha doesn't help him politically, and Buffalo does help
00:17:42.840 him politically.
00:17:43.540 Then after you get the political establishment going in and defending it, then you get the court
00:17:48.080 jester conservatives.
00:17:49.880 Enter Liz Cheney right on cue.
00:17:51.260 Liz Cheney tweets out, quote, the House GOP leadership has enabled white nationalism,
00:17:55.600 white supremacy, and anti-Semitism.
00:17:57.420 History has taught us that what begins with words ends in far worse.
00:18:01.900 GOP leaders must renounce and reject these views and those who hold them.
00:18:05.500 So notice, Liz Cheney is not saying, let's pray for the victims.
00:18:08.860 Liz Cheney is not doing anything to help the victims' families in Buffalo.
00:18:11.960 She's not doing anything productive.
00:18:13.520 She is just doing exactly what the media and the Democrat political establishment are doing,
00:18:18.640 namely, exploiting a tragedy to attack her political opponents, and her political opponents are
00:18:23.940 the Republicans.
00:18:24.860 Even though she's got an R next to her name, she's not really a conservative.
00:18:28.120 She's not really a Republican.
00:18:29.740 She is a court jester conservative.
00:18:32.200 Her job is to pretend to be a conservative, to pretend to put up opposition, but then on
00:18:37.800 every crucial matter to cave to the dominant liberal establishment.
00:18:41.740 That's her whole utility.
00:18:43.460 That's her whole point.
00:18:44.300 She's just there to legitimize the liberals and the Democrats.
00:18:49.380 Her real opponents, her real enemies are the Republicans.
00:18:53.320 And specifically now, they're all going after Tucker Carlson.
00:18:56.080 The current narrative, the current message is that Tucker Carlson has spread what they
00:19:02.280 now dub the great replacement conspiracy theory.
00:19:05.820 And by Tucker Carlson embracing the great replacement conspiracy theory, he is responsible for the
00:19:11.820 killing in Buffalo.
00:19:12.560 That's the narrative.
00:19:13.900 And it's being advanced by Democrats.
00:19:15.840 It's being advanced by the media, but I repeat myself.
00:19:17.680 And it's being advanced by Liz Cheney, but I repeat myself again.
00:19:20.940 What is the great replacement conspiracy theory?
00:19:22.820 The great replacement conspiracy theory, so-called, is that Democrats use immigration policy to
00:19:28.660 change the American demographics and increase their political power.
00:19:32.160 That's the grand conspiracy theory.
00:19:33.980 And if it doesn't sound like a conspiracy theory, it obviously is not.
00:19:37.340 Democrats have bragged about this for many years, for most of my life, for my entire adult
00:19:42.180 life.
00:19:42.420 Democrats have printed article after article saying Republicans are demographically doomed.
00:19:48.240 Immigration is going to kill the Republicans because the Republicans rely disproportionately
00:19:52.080 on the votes of white men.
00:19:54.180 And so as the white percentage of the population decreases, then Republicans' electoral power
00:19:59.280 is going to decrease.
00:20:00.900 And this means, ha-ha, Democrats are going to be in power forever.
00:20:03.840 It's not just the New York Times that has supported this, though they have.
00:20:07.660 It's not just MSNBC, CNN.
00:20:09.780 It's not just all the liberal media that have embraced this theory.
00:20:13.320 Joe Biden himself embraced this theory not so long ago.
00:20:18.240 So there's a second thing in that black box.
00:20:21.060 An unrelenting stream of immigration.
00:20:24.200 Non-stop.
00:20:25.960 Non-stop.
00:20:26.820 Folks like me, who are Caucasian of European descent, for the first time in 2017, will be
00:20:35.180 an absolute minority in the United States of America.
00:20:39.400 Absolute minority.
00:20:41.300 Fewer than 50% of the people in America from then and on will be white European stock.
00:20:49.540 That's not a bad thing.
00:20:51.200 That's a source of our strength.
00:20:52.840 There it is.
00:20:54.540 That's the whole conspiracy theory.
00:20:56.060 If you're going to attack Tucker Carlson for embracing this crazy, wild conspiracy theory,
00:21:00.660 then you need to attack Joe Biden for embracing the same crazy, wild conspiracy theory.
00:21:04.600 And you have to attack the entire Democrat establishment and the media establishment
00:21:08.400 because they're the ones who have bragged about this for decades, too.
00:21:12.040 Now, some of what Joe Biden said there is not factually correct.
00:21:15.020 He said in the very first part of that clip that throughout the entirety of American history,
00:21:20.320 going back to the 18th century, we've had a steady stream, an unrelenting stream of immigration.
00:21:25.180 That's not really true.
00:21:26.180 We've actually had huge periods of American history where there has been relatively very
00:21:29.880 little immigration.
00:21:31.300 And then really starting in 1965, when the Democrats, led by Ted Kennedy, completely changed
00:21:36.520 the immigration rules and opened it up to a flood of new immigration, that's really
00:21:41.680 when things started to change and really move in the direction of Democrats' political
00:21:47.060 favor.
00:21:47.400 But what does Joe Biden say there?
00:21:49.460 He says, we're going to have, because of all this immigration, we're going to shrink the
00:21:54.540 white percentage of the population, and this is a really good thing.
00:21:58.900 And if you're a Democrat, there is at least good reason to think that's true.
00:22:04.080 I actually don't think it's quite as simple as that because right now you're seeing huge
00:22:06.740 numbers of Hispanic voters moving to the GOP just within the past four years or so, and
00:22:12.400 really starting with Trump, but then accelerating in more recent years.
00:22:15.740 So there's a chance that Democrats get what they wish for, and it doesn't look like what
00:22:19.620 they were hoping it would be.
00:22:20.580 There's a chance that actually Republicans are going to get some benefit here as well.
00:22:24.760 But certainly the Democrats think that that is the case.
00:22:27.620 That's what they've been writing about.
00:22:28.700 That's what Joe Biden's talking about.
00:22:30.480 He's saying that's a source of our strength.
00:22:32.880 He might be pretending to talk about American strength, but he's certainly talking about Democrat
00:22:37.560 strength at the very least.
00:22:38.740 He's saying that because these immigrants are more likely to identify as Republicans
00:22:42.160 than, or as Democrats rather, then that will be a great source of strength that'll change
00:22:48.360 the country.
00:22:48.940 And that's our big win.
00:22:50.120 So the Democrats now are exploiting the tragedy to attack Tucker Carlson for quoting Joe Biden's
00:22:56.860 own words back to him.
00:22:58.920 They'll move on after this.
00:23:00.180 They will exploit the tragedy for gun control.
00:23:02.820 They will exploit the tragedy to go after all sorts of other people.
00:23:07.000 But that is the point.
00:23:10.340 That is all they're looking at.
00:23:11.500 I have a piece up at the Daily Wire today on how to exploit a shooting to blame it on
00:23:16.660 your political opponents.
00:23:17.780 Because if you, I read the Shooter's Manifesto.
00:23:21.400 If you look in the Shooter's Manifesto, you can find something, you can find a line to make
00:23:29.500 it seem as though the shooter is on the other side.
00:23:32.620 Whether you're on the left or the right, you can find a line or two lines or 10 lines
00:23:36.540 to make it seem like the shooter is on the left.
00:23:38.940 He says he's on the left.
00:23:39.760 He says he's an authoritarian leftist.
00:23:41.860 But you can find lines that make it seem like he's on the right.
00:23:44.920 He said he's moved much further to the right.
00:23:47.400 You can find all of these lines.
00:23:49.860 You can score points.
00:23:51.780 Ah, ding, point for the right wing.
00:23:53.900 Oh, here we go.
00:23:54.560 Score one point on the tragedy for the left wing.
00:23:58.040 But it's pointless.
00:23:59.500 And it's especially pointless for conservatives because the whole media apparatus right now
00:24:05.220 is using this for that one purpose and that one purpose only.
00:24:09.940 That is to attack you.
00:24:12.620 Now, when you want to be responsible, unlike our irresponsible media, when you want to be
00:24:17.060 responsible, it's very important to get your affairs in order, which is why you got to check

00:26:19.300 We'll be right back with a lot more.
00:26:20.500 The future of the GOP is playing out in Pennsylvania right now.
00:26:37.640 We've come down to the Pennsylvania Senate primary.
00:26:41.240 There are three top candidates.
00:26:43.700 Dr. Oz, the Turkish TV show, daytime talk show guy.
00:26:49.580 David McCormick, who's former CEO of Bridgewater.
00:26:52.380 He's a hedge fund guy, kind of a business Republican.
00:26:54.900 He was an official, I think, in Treasury during the Bush administration.
00:26:58.500 And Kathy Barnett, who's a little bit of a wild card.
00:27:01.480 She is a military veteran, political commentator.
00:27:04.660 She's less well-known than the other two guys.
00:27:07.180 Seems to be the more conservative candidate, more to the right.
00:27:10.020 But less well-known.
00:27:11.660 She's really surged in recent weeks and now would appear to be among the top two candidates.
00:27:18.320 According to a survey from Susquehannapolean Research released just yesterday,
00:27:23.860 Dr. Oz has 28% of likely Republican voters.
00:27:27.460 Kathy Barnett has 27% of likely Republican voters.
00:27:32.340 And McCormick, I don't have his exact numbers here, but I think he's fallen fairly significantly behind.
00:27:40.020 But this race, you know I don't really do endorsements in Republican primaries.
00:27:44.880 I don't live in Pennsylvania.
00:27:46.380 The voters there can decide unless there are all sorts of nefarious election maneuvers to lots of mules and things like that to misrepresent the will of the voters.
00:27:56.620 Although I don't think you would see that in a GOP primary.
00:27:58.440 I think you'd be more likely to see that in a general election.
00:28:00.940 So it's up to the Republican voters of Pennsylvania to decide.
00:28:04.800 The point of this election is to see how far the Overton window has shifted.
00:28:09.820 I think if you just looked on the issues here, Dr. Oz would be the furthest left candidate.
00:28:17.000 I mean, Dr. Oz has endorsed abortion.
00:28:19.660 He's complained about pro-life laws around the country very, very recently.
00:28:23.600 Dr. Oz has seemed to encourage transgender transition for minors.
00:28:30.300 I mean, the guy does not seem really conservative at all.
00:28:33.620 Then you've got David McCormick.
00:28:34.840 David McCormick seems like a business Republican.
00:28:37.800 He, on the social issues, is to the left.
00:28:40.380 I think he submitted a brief to the court in defense of redefining marriage in the Obergefell case.
00:28:47.260 So socially, he would seem to be more to the left.
00:28:51.080 I'm not sure that he would be as far to the left as Dr. Oz.
00:28:54.360 And the kind of business economic issues, he seems broadly what you would expect from a more establishment Republican type figure.
00:29:02.000 And then you've got Kathy Barnett.
00:29:05.160 Kathy Barnett seems to check all of the boxes on the conservative issues.
00:29:08.780 So if you're just voting on the issues, probably you're going to vote, and you're a conservative, you're probably going to vote for Kathy Barnett.
00:29:13.420 But then there is the question of electability.
00:29:15.160 This is the old Buckley rule that you should vote for the most right, viable candidate.
00:29:23.200 And so Dr. Oz actually has something to recommend him here, which is that he's a very famous TV host who's got a lot of name recognition,
00:29:30.560 who is some, I guess, more centrist than the other candidates, and Pennsylvania is a somewhat blue state.
00:29:37.540 Right? So maybe he's more electable.
00:29:39.960 David McCormick, he's a self-funder.
00:29:41.580 He's got a lot of money.
00:29:42.600 He's mainstream.
00:29:43.320 He's worked in a kind of centrist administration.
00:29:46.680 So maybe he's more electable.
00:29:48.620 Kathy Barnett, we just don't know.
00:29:49.900 We don't know her as well.
00:29:51.260 She doesn't have as much name recognition.
00:29:54.140 There might be things in her past.
00:29:55.740 There might not be things in her past.
00:29:56.880 We just don't know.
00:29:57.620 So that's the decision that people are going to look at here.
00:30:03.840 Donald Trump endorsed Dr. Oz.
00:30:06.040 Sean Hannity is all in for Dr. Oz.
00:30:08.440 The Sean Hannity show has become basically the Dr. Oz commercial.
00:30:11.800 Okay?
00:30:12.580 And all right, that's their prerogative.
00:30:14.820 Ted Cruz has gone in for David McCormick.
00:30:18.240 And this was before the Kathy Barnett surge, but Cruz seems to be for McCormick.
00:30:22.580 Kurt Schlichter, who's a pretty rock-ribbed conservative columnist.
00:30:25.720 Kurt just went in and he said, look, I'm not saying McCormick's the most conservative guy,
00:30:29.100 but he's a guy who can win.
00:30:30.020 I don't think Kathy Barnett can win in the general.
00:30:32.160 McCormick, I think, can.
00:30:33.140 So I'm in for David McCormick.
00:30:34.840 I interviewed Kathy Barnett.
00:30:36.140 The interview came out on Sunday.
00:30:37.840 She's a very, very impressive candidate as far as I can tell.
00:30:41.380 Whether or not she's electable in a general, I just don't know.
00:30:44.820 I just don't know.
00:30:45.800 I'm not as familiar with the voters of Pennsylvania.
00:30:49.320 I'm not as familiar with those dynamics now.
00:30:51.520 The voters know her better than I do because she's been going door-to-door for many months.
00:30:55.120 That is what's playing out.
00:30:56.700 And we're going to get an answer very, very soon.
00:30:58.800 How far has the Overton window shifted?
00:31:01.240 If this election were happening 10 years ago, there's no question McCormick would be the choice.
00:31:06.220 There's absolutely no question.
00:31:07.840 Dr. Oz would probably be laughed out of the room.
00:31:10.380 Kathy Barnett would probably be considered too right-wing.
00:31:13.860 And McCormick would be the guy.
00:31:15.720 But things have changed a lot.
00:31:16.860 And if it were 20 years ago, oh, there's no question McCormick would be the guy.
00:31:19.940 And maybe he still would be today.
00:31:23.840 But maybe the conservatives have moved more conservative.
00:31:28.300 Maybe the whole country has moved more conservative.
00:31:30.760 Maybe Kathy Barnett is there.
00:31:32.080 That's what we're watching.
00:31:33.280 Frankly, it's more interesting to me even than the individual candidates and who gets to win.
00:31:39.660 It's where is the country moving?
00:31:41.480 Where is the momentum?
00:31:43.000 Did you know that over 85% of grass-fed beef sold in U.S. grocery stores is imported?
00:31:48.620 That's why I buy all my meat from GoodRanchers.com instead.

00:32:21.440 You look right now, one of the most popular governors in America,
00:32:26.520 certainly the most popular governor for Republicans, but one of the most popular period.
00:32:30.300 Who is it?
00:32:30.640 It's Ron DeSantis.
00:32:32.240 Ron DeSantis is a conservative.
00:32:34.180 He's a real conservative.
00:32:35.840 He's not one of these cut it down the middle, try to split the baby guys.
00:32:39.000 Ron DeSantis, any time a conservative issue pops up in the culture, Ron DeSantis is there
00:32:43.860 doing something about it in Florida.
00:32:45.820 Ron DeSantis just signed a bill in Florida to make it illegal to protest outside of someone's
00:32:50.380 home.
00:32:51.200 DeSantis signed the Florida House Bill 1571 just yesterday.
00:32:55.980 Under the law, law enforcement officers must issue a warning to protesters to disperse.
00:33:01.100 If they don't, officers can arrest them.
00:33:04.080 The violators will be prosecuted and punished as second-degree misdemeanors.
00:33:07.160 This law will go into effect on October 1st.
00:33:10.580 This obviously is in reaction to the protests outside of the homes of the Supreme Court justices.
00:33:15.460 I have this sense now that Ron DeSantis, just all day, he's just on Twitter and he's waiting
00:33:22.060 to see whatever the news story is.
00:33:25.020 And you say, okay, here's the, boom, news story is there's protests outside of the judges'
00:33:29.720 homes.
00:33:29.900 Okay, I need a law.
00:33:30.680 Get me a law right now.
00:33:31.400 I'm going to sign it.
00:33:31.920 We're going to make this illegal.
00:33:32.940 Here we go.
00:33:33.200 It's now illegal.
00:33:33.720 The news story is there's a plus-size swimsuit model on Sports Illustrated.
00:33:38.080 Okay, so get me a law.
00:33:39.180 There will not be plus-size swimsuit models in Florida.
00:33:42.920 Okay, that's banned.
00:33:44.120 We're getting, the story is that Eric Swalwell's pushing for gun control.
00:33:47.980 Okay, we are, in the state of Florida, we are going to mandate that every baby has an
00:33:52.820 AR-15.
00:33:53.700 Yeah, especially now because abortion is threatening the babies now more than ever.
00:33:58.520 That's what we're doing in Florida.
00:33:59.460 And he's so freaking good at this.
00:34:02.640 The guy is in the news every day because every national issue, and especially every issue
00:34:07.840 that matters to conservatives, he's there doing something about.
00:34:11.000 It shows you the advantage that governors have over senators and congressmen and cabinet
00:34:16.880 officials in terms of running for president.
00:34:19.520 Because senators right now, you might have the most rock-ribbed, reliable conservative
00:34:23.500 senator in the world.
00:34:24.460 But if the senators are in the minority, if there's a Democrat in the White House, the
00:34:28.180 senators can't do very much.
00:34:30.460 Congressmen certainly can't do very much.
00:34:32.540 And cabinet officials, former cabinet officials, can't do anything at all other than give speeches.
00:34:36.800 But the governors can go in there and pass whatever the bill is, whatever the cause du jour
00:34:43.800 is.
00:34:45.000 Eric Swalwell tweets about how his four-year-olds FaceTiming.
00:34:47.180 Okay, we've got a new law in Florida.
00:34:49.100 Four-year-olds are not allowed to FaceTime.
00:34:50.760 You've got to be five years old to FaceTime.
00:34:52.420 And that's what we're doing in Florida.
00:34:53.740 That's what we're doing for America.
00:34:54.860 And it's very effective.
00:34:56.360 It's a very effective way to get your name into the news cycle, to put yourself up in
00:35:00.620 the pecking order when you're looking at the presidency.
00:35:05.580 And it shows you where that Overton window shifted, by the way, folks.
00:35:08.600 If you had told me five years ago that education was going to be the biggest issue or one of the
00:35:14.820 biggest issues in 2022, 2024.
00:35:17.080 If you told me that getting LGBT ideology out of schools was going to be one of the biggest
00:35:22.840 issues in 2022, 2024, I would have laughed at you.
00:35:25.900 I would have said that's a conservative pipe dream, but that's not really what's going to
00:35:28.600 happen.
00:35:29.640 And then it did.
00:35:30.880 That's the shifting pendulum.
00:35:33.680 That's the shifting Overton window.
00:35:35.500 How far can it go?
00:35:36.940 By this election cycle, by the next one, that remains to be seen.
00:35:40.460 Some candidates, unlike Ron DeSantis, do not have very good political instincts.
00:35:45.380 I'm thinking in particular, I'm thinking of the anti-DeSantis, the opposite of Ron DeSantis,
00:35:50.600 namely Beto O'Rourke loses the run for Senate, loses the run for president.
00:35:57.180 Now he's running for governor of Texas.
00:35:59.440 Beto O'Rourke, at the moment in which the pro-life movement is probably at the height of
00:36:05.620 its influence, at the moment in which the pro-abortion movement is probably at the absolute
00:36:10.480 lowest point of its influence among voters and among the institutions.
00:36:15.060 Beto O'Rourke shows up to The View to demand no limits on abortion whatsoever.
00:36:21.400 Once a kid is born, it's bye-bye baby.
00:36:23.580 That's right.
00:36:23.760 But I do want to press further because you're a progressive hero.
00:36:26.280 There are so many people around the country who admire you and your leadership.
00:36:29.360 Do you believe in any limitations on abortion, whether it's the third trimester or up until
00:36:34.780 even the final months, nine months?
00:36:36.700 I think Roe versus Wade, which we should remind ourselves is still the law of the land today,
00:36:41.800 is the reference point that I would look to.
00:36:45.820 And the way I think I can best express this is that I trust women.
00:36:50.460 We should all trust women to make their own decisions that are in their best interest for
00:36:55.220 themselves, for their health care, and for their future.
00:36:58.520 That's the way it's been literally my entire life.
00:37:00.340 I'm 49 years old.
00:37:01.180 I'll be 50 this year.
00:37:02.000 But that's the way it should be going forward.
00:37:04.980 But let me just finish this point super quickly.
00:37:07.440 In Texas, under Greg Abbott's watch, 100 kids lost their lives last year in the CPS,
00:37:13.140 Child Protective Services System in Texas, under the care and the custody of the state of Texas.
00:37:18.320 If he cared about life, he would have cared about those kids.
00:37:20.700 But he cares about political points and control and power over women's bodies.
00:37:24.480 And he loves his guns, too.
00:37:26.700 So pathetic.
00:37:28.400 So weak coming from Beto O'Rourke.
00:37:31.020 If, listen, this is a very sad story.
00:37:33.860 Kids died in the foster care system.
00:37:35.740 And if Greg Abbott really cared about life, he would have killed those kids much sooner.
00:37:40.000 He wouldn't have let those kids live for however long they did live.
00:37:43.060 He would have killed them much sooner.
00:37:44.240 That's how you care about life.
00:37:45.640 Why is he even talking about the foster care system?
00:37:47.120 Yeah.
00:37:47.860 Find me a Republican who thinks that the foster care system is just perfect.
00:37:52.820 Or thinks that there's no way to improve the foster care system.
00:37:56.780 Give me a break.
00:37:57.380 Like, I don't know, I don't, there's no Republican.
00:38:00.320 It's a complete straw man.
00:38:02.800 And if you really cared about, no, listen, buddy, we're talking about abortion.
00:38:06.200 And your view on abortion is so hideous, morally idiotic, and unpopular that you don't want to talk about abortion.
00:38:13.560 And you want to move on and talk about foster care.
00:38:15.360 Okay, you want to talk about foster care?
00:38:16.460 Let's talk about foster care.
00:38:17.460 I would love to reform the foster care system.
00:38:20.960 I would love to make it easier for parents to adopt and less expensive for parents to adopt in this country.
00:38:25.900 I would love to make it harder for parents to get divorced in this country.
00:38:28.720 I would love to do all sorts of things that would help families in America.
00:38:32.920 I would love to change aspects of our industrial policy.
00:38:36.080 I would love to change aspects of our trade policy to make it easier to form families.
00:38:39.260 I would love to do all sorts of stuff.
00:38:41.520 If you want to have, oh, you don't want to have that conversation.
00:38:43.200 Now you're talking about guns for some reason, Joy Beyer, and we need to talk about guns.
00:38:46.320 No, those are totally separate issues.
00:38:48.000 I'm happy to talk about guns too.
00:38:49.340 But you're all running away from the issue of abortion because you know that your position on it,
00:38:53.500 namely that you should be able to kill a baby one minute before he's born, is extremely unpopular and obviously evil and wrong.
00:39:01.760 So they keep trying to shift the goalposts.
00:39:04.820 This guy does not have good instincts.
00:39:07.120 Whenever Beto O'Rourke issues an opinion on something, if you are an aspiring politician,
00:39:11.860 if you want to be effective in the political square, do the opposite.
00:39:14.360 Okay, it's just, even regardless of what you think, it is a good bet that whatever Beto O'Rourke thinks,
00:39:19.840 the opposite is going to be more politically effective.
00:39:22.360 Turning now from a terrible show to a good show, from The View to the Joe Rogan show.
00:39:26.500 Joe Rogan expressed last week, I meant to get to it last week, we can get to it now,
00:39:30.780 his view on the abortion issue.
00:39:33.780 And I think his view is actually where a lot of Americans are on the issue.
00:39:39.980 Joe Rogan's view is, I'm for a woman's right to choose, but.
00:39:44.360 You know, it's just, I just don't like, you know, I don't like people telling other people what they can and can't do,
00:39:50.400 but it gets weird when the baby gets like six months old.
00:39:53.420 You know, it gets weird when they're really, really pregnant, because in some states, for the longest,
00:39:57.520 I don't know what the rules are now, but I know that some states had late-term abortions.
00:40:01.420 And sometimes you need one for medical reasons, right?
00:40:03.300 Like, the woman could die if she gives birth.
00:40:05.480 Like, it's a decision that people have to make.
00:40:08.060 Well, if you look back, what was your favorite part of being a fetus?
00:40:12.940 Bah!
00:40:14.240 Well, what was your favorite part of being three?
00:40:16.640 You know, should I be able to shoot you at three, because I don't want to take care of you anymore?
00:40:20.340 It's one of those things, it's like, I am 100% for a woman's right to choose.
00:40:25.980 But as a human being, just as a person observing things,
00:40:29.700 there's a big difference between a little clump of cells,
00:40:32.920 and a fetus with an eyeball and a beating heart.
00:40:35.480 And for anybody to pretend there's not, you're not doing any argument.
00:40:39.680 But where do you draw the line?
00:40:40.540 Right, where do you draw the line?
00:40:41.300 Yeah.
00:40:41.600 Yeah, that's the question.
00:40:43.120 So, Joe's view here is totally understandable.
00:40:47.880 I think it's probably the majority view in America.
00:40:52.460 It also is the least coherent view.
00:40:55.480 So, I think the pro-life view, and even the pro-abortion view,
00:41:02.140 you know, the pro-life view, which is, if human life has worth it all,
00:41:05.960 it has worth from the very beginning, and we should defend it.
00:41:09.120 That makes sense.
00:41:10.940 The pro-abortion view, the really honest pro-abortion view, which is, yes,
00:41:14.660 obviously the baby is a baby, obviously the baby is a human,
00:41:17.020 but we want women to have maximal bodily autonomy,
00:41:19.520 and in order for women to have the same degree of bodily autonomy as men,
00:41:22.160 they need to be able to kill their kids.
00:41:23.580 That's the view popularized by Naomi Wolf.
00:41:26.440 It's the view popularized by that girl who came on my show last week.
00:41:30.020 That view, I think it's ghastly, I think it's evil, but I understand it.
00:41:34.280 Joe's view is, it makes less sense,
00:41:39.720 but I can understand why people come along to it,
00:41:42.460 which is, look, I don't want to tell women what to do,
00:41:45.580 I want women to be able to do whatever they want to do,
00:41:47.680 but, like, come on, at a certain point, it's obviously a baby, right?
00:41:50.840 And it's obviously wrong to kill babies.
00:41:52.580 And when his guest makes that glib joke,
00:41:54.580 what was your favorite part about being a fetus?
00:41:56.260 Joe mocks him for it.
00:41:57.100 He says, oh, ha, ha, ha, I don't know,
00:41:58.180 what was your favorite part about being three?
00:42:00.080 Should you be like, you know, give me a break, man.
00:42:01.460 Do you remember being two?
00:42:02.600 Come on, that's such a weak argument.
00:42:05.240 But then Joe says, well, there's a huge difference
00:42:06.760 between a clump of cells and a six-month-old baby in the womb.
00:42:10.280 But there isn't a total difference, actually.
00:42:12.660 You know, either the baby, I think the big differences here,
00:42:17.240 the big distinguishing features are,
00:42:19.900 are you alive or are you a human?
00:42:22.240 I think those are, the difference between alive and not alive,
00:42:25.300 the difference between human and not human,
00:42:26.820 are much bigger differences.
00:42:28.180 Then say the difference between having fully formed hands
00:42:30.940 and not fully formed hands,
00:42:32.580 between having fully formed eyeballs
00:42:34.000 and not fully formed eyeballs.
00:42:35.280 Those seem to me, they're differences,
00:42:36.700 but those are much more superficial differences.
00:42:38.940 Then are you alive or are you not alive?
00:42:41.740 Are you human or are you not human?
00:42:43.320 Joe is so close.
00:42:44.700 He's so on the right track here.
00:42:46.240 And he realizes that the pro-abortion propaganda is BS.
00:42:49.380 Now the only question for him, and really, you know,
00:42:52.300 I think he so expresses popular views that it's a question for all of America,
00:42:56.720 is are you going to go all the way with your correct moral intuitions?
00:43:00.860 Are you going to follow them to their logical conclusion?
00:43:03.740 The difference between a conspiracy theory and the truth these days is six to nine months.
00:43:13.180 I think we've agreed, right?
00:43:14.580 So what were the conspiracy theories?
00:43:18.420 Actually, COVID-19 did not arise in nature,
00:43:20.660 but probably had something to do with a laboratory and public health funding.
00:43:26.180 And that was a crazy conspiracy theory.
00:43:27.860 Oh, no, wait, no, it turns out it's true.
00:43:30.000 Actually, the COVID vaccines, they might have some negative side effects.
00:43:34.420 And they might, no, no, that's not, that's a crazy conspiracy theory.
00:43:36.940 Okay, it's true.
00:43:37.680 The COVID vaccines, they might affect a women's menstrual cycle.
00:43:41.740 That's not true.
00:43:42.400 It's scientifically impossible.
00:43:43.420 It's a total conspiracy theory.
00:43:44.560 Okay, well, no, never mind.
00:43:45.640 That actually is true.
00:43:47.180 All of, and I'm just focusing on the conspiracy theories of the last three years.
00:43:51.520 Conspiracy theory.
00:43:52.260 There might have been some shenanigans in the 2020 election.
00:43:54.400 No, no, that's crazy.
00:43:55.420 That's, well, actually, look at Pennsylvania.
00:43:57.040 Look at Georgia.
00:43:57.980 Look at, okay, right.
00:43:59.780 Lots of conspiracy theories turn out.
00:44:01.620 So the craziest one, though.
00:44:04.060 And I think I heard Alex Jones talking about this some years ago,
00:44:06.960 but I've heard other people talk about it.
00:44:08.140 They said that older, wealthy, elite people
00:44:12.960 are going to prolong their lives by consuming the blood and the vital liquids of young people.
00:44:22.780 It's something out of a horror movie, right?
00:44:24.640 It's something out of a sci-fi dystopian.
00:44:27.340 That's so crazy.
00:44:28.800 That's never going to.
00:44:29.940 Oh my goodness, there's the headline.
00:44:31.640 Youth transplants really can slow the aging process.
00:44:34.340 This is from the Telegraph.
00:44:36.600 Stanford scientists find infusions of cerebrospinal fluid can regenerate the brain's memory center
00:44:45.180 and may help to rejuvenate elderly bodies.
00:44:48.940 They even acknowledge, they say, harvesting the blood and body parts of the young
00:44:52.000 in the hope of achieving immortality has long been a familiar trope in horror novels and conspiracy theories.
00:44:57.880 But as macabre as that sounds, science is beginning to discover that youth process really can slow down the aging process.
00:45:05.200 The fountain of youth, it seems, is youth itself.
00:45:07.220 And so these researchers at Stanford are looking at how if we just harvest the young
00:45:13.580 and then old people who are afraid of death just take the vital life-giving fluids of the young
00:45:22.560 and just inject them into their own desiccated bodies that they might get to live a little bit longer.
00:45:28.240 This seems like a bad idea.
00:45:30.500 Doesn't this seem like a bad idea?
00:45:32.700 I think it does.
00:45:34.080 This is because of a delusion that elites have had since the dawn of time
00:45:38.800 and every generation that comes up with it thinks it's brand new,
00:45:41.180 which is, hey, maybe we can conquer death ourselves.
00:45:44.300 Now, I, being a Christian, believe that death has already been conquered in an eternal way by Jesus Christ on the cross.
00:45:53.300 That's not good enough for the libs.
00:45:55.160 That's not good enough for some elites throughout history.
00:45:57.880 Even before there was such a thing as liberalism.
00:46:00.360 Who don't want to face a bodily death.
00:46:04.320 Who want to just live in this world.
00:46:06.180 Forget the life of the world to come.
00:46:07.520 Forget the eternity.
00:46:09.860 Forget in the bosom of Abraham.
00:46:11.840 Forget, you know, the beatific vision.
00:46:13.820 No, no, no.
00:46:14.060 They just want to live in this world forever.
00:46:15.920 And they're so afraid of the lights going out.
00:46:19.680 That they're always looking for the fountain of youth.
00:46:21.820 They're always looking for some magic elixir.
00:46:23.380 They're looking for radical life extension.
00:46:25.160 You see the Silicon Valley types talking about this all the time today.
00:46:27.820 And it's just as silly today as when the pharaohs were doing it.
00:46:32.060 It's not going to work forever.
00:46:34.140 And it's sick.
00:46:34.760 It gets to an especially pronounced cultural issue today.
00:46:41.360 Which is the refusal of people to grow up.
00:46:45.060 You need to grow up.
00:46:46.480 Growing up is not a bad thing.
00:46:48.660 Growing up is a very good thing.
00:46:50.020 We have a society of overgrown babies these days.
00:46:52.540 Because no one wants to actually grow up and mature.
00:46:56.760 This is why we have the phrase adulting.
00:46:58.560 When 35-year-olds finally figure out how to pay their bills.
00:47:02.500 They say, I'm adulting.
00:47:04.560 Oh yeah, I finally filed my taxes.
00:47:07.280 Totally adulting.
00:47:08.320 No, you should have been doing that for many years at this point.
00:47:12.420 And now people get married, you know, much, much later.
00:47:15.420 If they do have children at all.
00:47:16.980 They have children much, much later.
00:47:18.100 They say, I'm adulting because I did.
00:47:19.740 And look, people suffer from infertility.
00:47:23.560 Often as a result of delaying these sorts of things.
00:47:25.640 But very often, people will choose not to get married.
00:47:28.420 They'll choose not to have children.
00:47:30.020 And the reason that they'll choose that is because they want to continue to go to brunch.
00:47:32.860 Like they did when they were 22 years old.
00:47:35.340 They don't want to move on to the next.
00:47:37.840 They're so afraid of losing their youth.
00:47:40.820 They want to just sit at home.
00:47:42.960 And do all the things they did as children.
00:47:44.940 And not put those things away.
00:47:45.920 You have to put those things away.
00:47:47.200 And it's true.
00:47:47.880 I'm not just beating up on the millennials, my own generation.
00:47:50.880 It's true at the upper end of that spectrum too.
00:47:53.440 Sometimes it's time to move on.
00:47:54.620 How come we still have baby boomers as president?
00:47:57.620 Actually, Joe Biden's not even a baby boomer.
00:47:59.420 We went backwards.
00:48:00.640 We had a baby boomer president in Bill Clinton.
00:48:03.320 We had a baby boomer president in George Bush.
00:48:06.660 We had a Gen X president in Barack Obama.
00:48:10.700 Then we had a baby boomer president.
00:48:12.500 We went back in Donald Trump.
00:48:14.140 And then we went back even further, if you can believe it,
00:48:17.080 to the generation before the baby boomers with Joe Biden.
00:48:20.200 There's no moving on.
00:48:21.960 There's no handing off the...
00:48:23.540 I don't even blame the boomers.
00:48:25.260 The millennials don't seem particularly ready for it.
00:48:27.700 And the boomers have totally messed up the society from the mid to late 20th century.
00:48:35.080 So there are problems all around.
00:48:36.740 And I think a lot of it just gets to not accepting this fact of time.
00:48:40.220 Not accepting this fact of aging.
00:48:41.960 Not accepting the fact of death.
00:48:43.480 You're going to die someday.
00:48:44.920 That's one of my favorite Twitter accounts.
00:48:46.320 It's the death reminder.
00:48:47.400 The memento mori.
00:48:48.120 You will die someday.
00:48:48.940 In my office at the Daily Wire, I have a picture, a print of Caravaggio's painting of St. Jerome,
00:48:56.080 who's writing, he's translating the Bible, and he's got a skull right there, the memento mori.
00:49:00.500 You are going to die.
00:49:01.260 It's good to remember that you're going to die because that will motivate you to do the right
00:49:06.460 thing today, to get your affairs in order.
00:49:08.540 It will actually, ironically, put you at far greater peace than if you think that you can live
00:49:13.560 forever by sucking out the spinal fluid of young people.
00:49:16.360 Don't, don't do that, folks, okay?
00:49:20.120 You're not going to live forever.
00:49:21.620 This is, so much of this public health neurosis and insanity of the last two and three years now
00:49:26.920 has come because of people's irrational, ridiculous fear of aging and sickness and dying.
00:49:35.280 A lot, before we go to, there's just an important point here.
00:49:37.580 Misinformation is being spread on this.
00:49:39.040 The White House just tweeted out, when President Biden took office, millions were unemployed.
00:49:44.820 There was no vaccine available.
00:49:46.880 In the last 15 months, the economy's created lots and lots of jobs and blah, blah, blah.
00:49:51.520 Now, of course, that's fake news.
00:49:53.040 That's misinformation.
00:49:53.880 More than 3 million Americans were fully vaccinated, and more than 18 million had at least one dose
00:49:59.900 of the vaccine by the time Joe Biden was inaugurated.
00:50:02.100 Joe Biden himself was vaccinated by the time he was inaugurated, so that was fake news.
00:50:05.900 That was disinformation.
00:50:08.000 Is the disinformation governance board, the new ministry of truth, are they going to go
00:50:11.160 after the White House for that?
00:50:12.360 I sincerely doubt it.
00:50:14.100 Is the White House ever going to get on message?
00:50:16.060 Not with a press secretary like this, not with a Democratic Party like this, which has nothing,
00:50:20.260 which is gasping, which is desperate, which is running on straws.
00:50:22.820 Expect more desperation tactics.
00:50:25.000 Expect more of this ugliness, the exploitation of tragedy, the invective, the insults, the horrible
00:50:31.320 smears.
00:50:31.860 We have only entered the 2022 campaign season.
00:50:36.400 Buckle up.
