00:00:52.060 Those are the Republican senators who just voted to advance the Democrats' latest gun control bill.
00:00:59.300 The worst part of this vote is not that these senators squished on an issue that is important to conservatives.
00:01:06.520 These senators often squish on issues that are important to conservatives.
00:01:10.020 We have come to expect it.
00:01:11.560 Sometimes it's almost politically understandable for some of these people, at least in the blue and purple states.
00:01:17.560 The worst part of this vote is that they squished at a time when they had absolutely no reason to.
00:01:26.860 The political winds are entirely at the Republicans' backs.
00:01:31.080 Even Democrat strategists are expecting a red tsunami in the midterm elections.
00:01:36.860 Democrats are down historically on those midterm polls.
00:01:40.340 The GOP has momentum on virtually every issue.
00:01:43.800 American voters generally are extremely supportive of gun rights.
00:01:48.340 And polls show that even the voters who do not like guns don't really care about them relative to other issues.
00:01:55.240 The worst part of this is that it is completely needless.
00:01:59.220 A completely needless surrender by Republicans who have absolutely no idea what time it is.
00:02:06.460 I'm Michael Knowles.
00:02:07.160 This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:02:13.800 Welcome back to the show.
00:02:17.560 My favorite comment yesterday is from VS, who says,
00:02:20.400 Weird Demon Mickey is my favorite impersonation that Michael has done so far.
00:02:25.020 Ha ha!
00:02:25.980 I'm so glad to hear it!
00:02:27.160 Ha ha!
00:02:27.500 Don't listen to your parents, kids!
00:02:29.300 Ha ha!
00:02:29.940 Just go spend all your time with drag queens!
00:02:32.440 Ha ha ha ha!
00:02:33.620 That's what they do.
00:02:34.840 This is what they do.
00:02:35.480 The Democrats take something that we love, that we're accustomed to, that's familiar,
00:02:40.820 and then they kill it.
00:02:42.380 They kill it dead.
00:02:43.200 They beat it to a bloody pulp, and then they crawl inside of its body,
00:02:48.300 and they reanimate it like a weird, spooky, creepy, ghost zombie demon,
00:02:53.340 and then they use that thing that we have affection for to push their radical agenda.
00:02:58.400 That's what they've done to, I guess, every American institution,
00:03:01.620 and that's what they're doing to Mickey now as well.
00:03:04.160 It's not good.
00:03:04.700 We've got to protect ourselves.
00:03:05.840 When you want to protect your home, you've got to check out Ring.
00:03:08.780 Right now, go to ring.com slash Knowles.
00:03:11.500 It's the summer.
00:03:12.420 People are going to be traveling a lot.
00:03:14.060 You see, I'm in a hotel room right now.
00:03:15.500 I'm traveling.
00:03:16.460 When you're traveling, whether you're traveling alone, whether you're traveling with your family,
00:03:19.240 you want to keep your house safe.
00:03:23.160 Okay?
00:03:23.560 You want to keep your family safe, yourself safe, all that stuff.
00:03:25.720 So that's why you need a ring.
00:03:26.840 You know about Ring's video doorbell, where you can see and speak to people wherever you are,
00:03:31.160 in the house, outside the house, on the other side of the world.
00:03:33.220 You know about Ring Alarm, Ring's award-winning alarm system.
00:03:36.880 Now you've got to go pro.
00:03:39.520 Okay?
00:03:39.800 Now is the time.
00:03:40.780 It is.
00:03:41.200 It's the time to go pro.
00:03:43.540 Be a pro, just like me.
00:03:45.260 Ring Alarm protects your doors, your windows, your whole physical home.
00:03:49.780 Ring Alarm Pro protects your digital home as well.
00:03:53.120 Think of how much of your life you live on the internet.
00:03:56.320 Would you protect your physical documents?
00:03:58.580 Would you protect all your financial documents?
00:04:00.380 Would you maybe shred them, put them in a safe place?
00:04:02.180 Well, if you would do that, why wouldn't you protect your digital life, where you've got
00:04:05.720 so much more information?
00:04:07.220 Protect the whole thing.
00:04:08.040 Ring is the way to do it.
00:04:09.580 CNET calls it a giant leap for home security.
00:04:12.400 Go pro.
00:04:12.900 Be a pro like me.
00:04:14.400 Head on over to ring.com slash Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S.
00:04:19.240 That is ring.com slash Knowles.
00:04:22.360 I understand.
00:04:23.540 It's very easy to sit behind the microphone.
00:04:26.100 It's harder to build political consensus in Washington, D.C. and get something done.
00:04:30.640 I do.
00:04:31.340 I get it.
00:04:31.820 It's why I don't take pot shots at politicians broadly.
00:04:36.400 I understand there needs to be compromise sometimes.
00:04:39.460 You need to work the levers of power.
00:04:41.860 I get it.
00:04:42.480 My issue with this stupid gun bill that these 14 squish Republicans are backing, my issue
00:04:49.260 is it comes down to one word.
00:04:51.520 Why?
00:04:53.400 Why?
00:04:54.180 Why are you backing this?
00:04:56.760 Well, well, because we have to do something.
00:05:00.080 Do we?
00:05:00.740 You're not doing anything about inflation.
00:05:03.000 You're not doing anything about immigration.
00:05:06.040 You're not doing all that much about giving us back our way of life after COVID.
00:05:10.260 It was pretty much just a federal judge that let us do that.
00:05:13.320 You're not doing a ton on pro-life.
00:05:16.720 I will give Mitch McConnell credit for the judges, and then the judges might overrule Roe v. Wade.
00:05:20.960 So, okay, that's something.
00:05:22.240 The senators aren't doing a whole lot for that.
00:05:25.260 Well, you're not doing much on a whole range of it.
00:05:27.940 You're not doing much about the debt.
00:05:29.100 You're not doing much about anything.
00:05:30.740 But this, this is the one issue, taking away Americans' Second Amendment rights.
00:05:35.120 That's the issue where we have to do something.
00:05:37.380 Why?
00:05:37.960 Well, because of the polls.
00:05:40.800 What about the polls?
00:05:41.740 You're doing great in the polls.
00:05:43.160 And a lot of Americans love guns.
00:05:45.680 And the Americans that don't love guns don't care.
00:05:48.880 It doesn't rank very high.
00:05:50.140 Even for the most anti-gun Americans, the furthest left Democrats, gun rights, the Second Amendment is not at the top of their priority list.
00:05:58.540 You don't have to do any of this.
00:06:00.360 We don't know exactly what is in this bill, but it's nothing good, really.
00:06:06.840 At least the really consequential parts of this Democrat gun bill.
00:06:11.200 You've got red flag laws, which in principle sound fine, right?
00:06:14.760 But the devil's in the details because they can be so broad that the red flag just becomes you.
00:06:20.740 Did you vote for Trump?
00:06:21.740 Red flag.
00:06:22.840 Do you, do you like buying guns?
00:06:25.380 Red flag.
00:06:26.700 Do you, have you read the Constitution?
00:06:28.100 Boy, that's a red flag.
00:06:29.120 We're going to have to take away your constitutional rights.
00:06:32.640 So incredibly broad.
00:06:34.660 And, and what's the purpose of it?
00:06:36.020 I would even understand if the Democrats were pushing this law as a sincere way to stop these specific horrific shootings that just took place in Texas and in Buffalo.
00:06:45.180 They're not doing that.
00:06:46.440 The Republicans have proposed what should be uncontroversial, very modest reforms that would have protected the school in Texas and would have protected other schools too.
00:06:56.500 Lock the doors.
00:06:57.780 Get some armed guards to, to be stationed at the schools.
00:07:01.600 Maybe allow teachers who have the right to keep and bear arms to, to carry their weapons.
00:07:06.700 Really basic stuff.
00:07:07.840 And the Democrats won't go with any of that because their object is not to protect the schools.
00:07:12.480 Their object is just to push the same stupid gun laws they've wanted for 50 years.
00:07:16.460 So the Democrats are not sincere on this at all.
00:07:18.660 Why do Republicans have to go along with this?
00:07:20.680 Why?
00:07:21.740 Why?
00:07:22.260 I don't, I hate to vent to you today.
00:07:23.540 You know, I don't like complaining, but I, why do Republicans have to clutch defeat from the jaws of victory?
00:07:29.660 Do you think that this is going to win over Democrat votes in the midterms?
00:07:32.880 It's not.
00:07:34.000 Do you think this is going to win over the centrists?
00:07:35.940 The centrists don't really care.
00:07:37.220 And the moderates and the independents, they're voting on gas prices.
00:07:40.040 They're voting on the economy.
00:07:42.040 They're voting on jobs.
00:07:43.160 They're voting on, on really basic stuff.
00:07:44.880 They're not voting on the second amendment.
00:07:46.120 Do you think this is going to help motivate Republicans to come out to the polls?
00:07:49.120 It's not.
00:07:49.700 It's going to depress the Republican vote.
00:07:51.860 Why is someone going to go vote for John Cornyn?
00:07:54.100 Well, they're not going to vote for John Cornyn and he's not up for election.
00:07:56.780 He's probably not going to run for re-election, which is why a lot of these squishes are getting behind this thing.
00:08:01.000 They know that they're not going to have to face the voters again so they can sell them out, which is what so frequently happens.
00:08:07.700 It's amazing.
00:08:08.620 It's, it's not even just that, well, Republicans are doing really well on the economic issues and the economic issues are going to bring us to victory in November.
00:08:17.080 So we've got to downplay the cultural issues.
00:08:19.680 We're winning on the cultural issues too.
00:08:21.800 The, the issues that are actually pushing conservatives across the finish line are extremely cultural issues.
00:08:27.880 It's transgenderism in movies and schools.
00:08:31.800 It's critical race theory.
00:08:33.580 It's, it's pro-life for that matter.
00:08:35.860 Great news just came out of South Dakota.
00:08:38.540 South Dakota just closed its last abortion center.
00:08:43.020 It's the last one.
00:08:44.200 Boom.
00:08:44.420 There aren't any more in South Dakota.
00:08:46.840 Governor Kristi Noem tweeted about this.
00:08:48.700 She said, abortions have stopped in South Dakota.
00:08:52.540 We have prayed for this day and now it is here.
00:08:56.120 Now we must redouble our focus on taking care of mothers in crisis.
00:08:59.280 Help is available for you.
00:09:00.280 Adoption is an option.
00:09:01.480 You are never alone.
00:09:02.520 This is fabulous stuff.
00:09:04.580 Kristi Noem has been a little bit squishy at times, at least on that transgender issue.
00:09:09.920 And so conservatives are skeptical of her, but this is great news.
00:09:12.560 Got to give credit where credit's due.
00:09:15.560 And, and by the way, the very fact that Kristi Noem is the one pushing this is great news for conservatives.
00:09:20.220 Precisely because she has squished on certain cultural issues.
00:09:24.440 Precisely because she initially caved to pressure on transgender sports before she then reversed her position.
00:09:30.720 She's not above playing politics and figuring out which way the wind is blowing.
00:09:34.000 And she knows that on these cultural issues in this year, the year of our Lord, 2022, with the midterm elections right around the corner, all of the wind is in the sails of the Republicans on cultural matters.
00:09:45.280 What do the Democrats have to say in response to this?
00:09:49.100 What's the Democrats' best offering here?
00:09:51.000 This, this article from the Washington Post, I thought it was a spoof at first.
00:09:56.800 I thought it was satire.
00:09:58.600 The article says, this Texas teen wanted an abortion.
00:10:03.800 Now she has twins.
00:10:05.960 Brooke Alexander found out she was pregnant 48 hours before the Texas abortion ban took place.
00:10:11.700 The, the article online, on social media, it shows this girl taking care of the two twin babies.
00:10:24.040 She's, it actually shows the babies, even as it insinuates that, that we should be able to kill those babies.
00:10:30.900 It shows the two little babies and mommy taking care of the two little babies.
00:10:34.240 I had to wonder, is there some secretly pro-life editor at the Washington Post?
00:10:38.940 How did this possibly get through?
00:10:40.260 Either the editors are so completely oblivious, so cold, such stone cold psycho Patrick Bateman
00:10:51.160 chopping people up in their freezers that they think that, that presenting a picture of a mommy
00:10:56.800 taking care of her twin babies is going to convince people, yeah, we should kill them.
00:11:00.940 We should be allowed to kill those babies or someone at WAPO is secretly pro-life.
00:11:05.800 I actually think I have to believe it's the latter.
00:11:08.780 In the article, you see that they say, sometimes Brooke imagined her life if she hadn't gotten
00:11:15.520 pregnant and if Texas hadn't banned abortion just days after she decided that she wanted one.
00:11:19.800 She would have been in school, rushing from class to her shift at Texas Roadhouse, eyes on a real
00:11:24.860 estate license that would finally get her out of Corpus Christi.
00:11:29.160 She pictured an apartment in Austin and enough money for a trip to Hawaii,
00:11:32.780 where she would swim with the dolphins in water so clear she could see her toes.
00:11:37.280 When both babies finally started eating, Brooke took out her phone and restarted the timer that
00:11:41.520 had been running almost continuously since the day they were born.
00:11:45.340 It would be two and a half hours until they had to eat again.
00:11:47.220 Are they serious?
00:11:50.200 Do they, are they, I have to think they're being ironic here or that someone involved in this
00:11:56.340 article is being ironic.
00:11:57.820 Yeah, Brooke, she, she could have gone and kept working at Texas Roadhouse and then she could have
00:12:04.500 gone and gotten an apartment in Austin.
00:12:08.140 Austin, you couldn't pay me to get an apartment in Austin. Austin is a gross place full of derelict
00:12:12.680 people who were doing all sorts of crazy things and homeless people and crime and all sorts of
00:12:16.880 libs running around wreaking havoc. Or she could feed her beautiful little babies.
00:12:22.540 And then, and by the way, by the way, at the end of this article, the end of this article,
00:12:26.360 the final bit is she told herself that alternate life didn't matter anymore. She had two babies she
00:12:31.300 loved more than anything else in the world. I do, she said, tears in her eyes. Brooke pulled out her
00:12:35.360 phone once they finished the ceremony. One hour, 15 minutes, time to grab some lunch and head home.
00:12:39.240 The babies would be hungry. Even the Washington Post is wittingly or unwittingly sympathizing with
00:12:47.600 the conservatives, with the Republicans, with pro-life on a contentious issue, on the cultural
00:12:51.260 matters. All of that to say, now is not the time to squish. Speaking of life, where there is life,
00:12:59.840 someday there will be death. That's why you've got to take seriously your future and go check out
00:13:04.840 epic will. This is something that people put off and put off and put off. Do not put it off.

00:13:28.900 What would happen to your life? Who would make the decisions for your kids and for your stuff and for
00:13:34.600 your property and for your family? Would it be people you trust? Would it be in accordance with
00:13:38.800 your wishes as you lay it out in your will? Or would it be the state? Or would it be institutions
00:13:44.420 that hate your guts and do things to your kids and your stuff and your family that you don't want to
00:13:48.540 have done? Just go. Do the responsible thing. It takes no time. It can start at just $119. It takes
00:13:55.720 five minutes to set up. Go to epicwill.com. By the way, you'll get 10% off right now. If you use

00:14:14.360 a 10% discount code. Promo code Knowles, epicwill.com. Speaking of young girls, two California teachers
00:14:23.320 just caught an earful from an angry parent, really a room of angry parents, because these two California
00:14:30.460 teachers, allegedly, we have to say allegedly, groomed, coached a 12-year-old girl into becoming
00:14:40.200 transgender behind her parents' back. These teachers come in and act as if they have nothing
00:14:48.500 wrong. They've done nothing wrong. A mistake? How long of a mistake? How many mistakes are we going to
00:14:54.180 take before my child almost lost her life? They didn't tell me that my child is suicidal.
00:15:00.920 You allowed these teachers to open their classrooms teaching predatory information to a young child,
00:15:07.920 a mindful child that doesn't even know how to comprehend it all. How do you not know what
00:15:14.940 was going on on your own campuses? Do you think that no parent would ever come forward? You will not quiet me today.
00:15:21.920 I will stand here today and protect my child along with every other child who has not come forward yet.
00:15:28.660 Do you, do you, do they have psychiatry degrees that I was unaware of? Because I didn't hire them.
00:15:34.660 Okay? I did not hire them to sit there and nitpick my child's brain. You took away my ability to parent my child.
00:15:41.660 Even before I had any knowledge. I didn't even get to show support. You asked for support, I didn't get a chance.
00:15:49.940 You planted seeds, Ms. Caldera and Ms. Baraki. Mr. Baraki and you, Ms. Cagarin.
00:15:55.920 Your job was to educate my child in math, science, English, etc. Do your job and let me do mine.
00:16:03.400 The key here to this video, it's heartbreaking. It's heartbreaking. Could you imagine, could you
00:16:12.260 imagine if it were you? I was, I was putting myself in this woman's shoes. I guess it's sort
00:16:15.620 of unclear even if the child is a daughter or a son because, well, because transgenderism confuses all
00:16:21.340 of those sorts of things. And she keeps saying, my child, my child, my child. Could you imagine if it
00:16:25.980 were your child? I don't know that I could refrain from violence against the teachers. If I found out
00:16:32.400 that some teacher were secretly grooming my sweet little baby boy behind my back and confusing him
00:16:38.580 and giving him pathologies that are going to last the rest of his life and trying to convince him
00:16:44.280 that he's a little girl and convince him to go on hormones and change his pronouns, change his
00:16:48.240 government documents, chop up his body. Someone were trying to harm my child. Was actually harming my
00:16:55.340 child like that. I'm not sure I could refrain from violence. I like to think I could. I don't think it
00:17:00.520 would be good to commit some act of vigilante violence, but that is the way that it would pull
00:17:07.100 on a, on a father's or mother's heart. This woman is being positively restrained,
00:17:12.860 even as she's screaming her head off and steam is coming out of her ears. And you know, the most
00:17:16.940 amazing part of this video, it's not even, it's obviously not that the mother's getting angry.
00:17:21.340 It's not even that the teachers, these creeps, these psychos are grooming the little kid and
00:17:26.520 screwing up the kid's life and having sexual perverse conversations with a little kid behind
00:17:32.620 the parents' backs. The most amazing part of the video is the unanimous applause from everyone in
00:17:39.920 the room. Everyone knows what's up. Everyone knows that this is wrong. Everyone knows what time it is
00:17:49.860 on these allegedly controversial cultural issues. All the people get it. The only people that don't
00:17:58.420 get it are in the crooked ruling class, are the teacher unions and the people who are controlling
00:18:06.120 institutions, notably the academic educational institutions, but corporate America too, and
00:18:12.320 government America and big tech and the media. Those guys, they don't get it. Everyone else
00:18:18.960 does get it. We're not the crazy ones. Okay. They're, they're telling us that we're the crazy
00:18:24.620 ones and we're, we're abusing our kids and what you'd rather have a dead daughter than a living son.
00:18:29.620 And, and you're, you're, you're, you just don't understand. You're just a knuckle dragging
00:18:33.300 troglodyte because you think that a man isn't, isn't actually a woman. How dare you? You big dumb
00:18:38.180 idiot. You don't even have a degree in gender studies like I do. Yeah. You didn't even get a master's
00:18:42.520 degree in some fake thing. So you, you don't have a right to an opinion. Everyone gets it
00:18:46.660 other than these people. So it's a, it's a, it's a message for, it's a message for the squishes.
00:18:52.720 It's a message for the centrists. Now is not the time to squish. If you, if you are reading and
00:18:58.320 consuming the establishment media and listening to all the establishment self-appointed geniuses
00:19:03.960 who are running our country, you might be convinced this is a tough call. Well, it's a
00:19:07.940 complex issue. It's not complex at all. The people in that room didn't think it was complex.
00:19:12.040 No, the voters of Virginia didn't think it was complex. The voters of Florida don't think it's
00:19:15.420 complex. The, the movie goers who could have gone to see the Buzz Lightyear movie didn't think it was
00:19:21.080 complex. No one thinks it's complex except for the, the pudding brains, the absolute mushy headed
00:19:30.340 perverts who are running our major institutions. You do not need to squish. We are winning on so many
00:19:39.260 fronts right now. Speaking of the schools, major, major Supreme Court win in, uh, for conservatives,
00:19:46.820 for Christians, for religious liberty. Case called Carson v. Macon. Carson v. Macon, me really happy
00:19:53.120 that we have six quasi conservatives on the Supreme Court. I'll tell you that the way that the case works,
00:19:58.360 it's about a Maine law that allows public money to be spent on private schools.
00:20:04.240 Because Maine is in many parts a sparsely populated state. And so, uh, every school age child has the
00:20:12.380 right to a free public education. In some places in the rural districts, they don't have public high
00:20:16.740 schools. And so there's a workaround where they can take the public money and go to some private
00:20:21.200 school with public assistance. There was a law passed in Maine that said that you can't take that
00:20:27.600 money to any Christian school. So you can take it to whatever kind of wacky private school you want to.
00:20:33.720 It just can't be Christian. The Supreme Court 6-3 struck it down, which means even Roberts,
00:20:39.160 who frequently sides with the libs, he's the swinging vote, he's the squish vote,
00:20:43.020 even he sided with the conservatives here. The left is losing their mind. They're saying
00:20:47.500 that this is a major attack on the firm wall of separation between church and state. Sonia Sotomayor
00:20:54.320 on the court says, this court continues to dismantle the wall of separation between church and state
00:20:59.820 that the framers fought to build. In just a few years, the court has upended constitutional doctrine,
00:21:05.240 shifting from a rule that permits states to decline to fund religious organizations to one
00:21:09.120 that requires states in many circumstances to subsidize religious indoctrination with taxpayer
00:21:14.180 dollars. Constitutional doctrine. Would you mind, if you're not driving or something, would you mind maybe
00:21:20.980 pulling up the text of the constitution on your phone or on your computer? And just do a quick
00:21:26.280 little word search. Search for wall of separation between church and state. Separation between,
00:21:33.880 you're not, it's going to come up blank because that's not a constitutional doctrine. I feel like
00:21:39.400 I want to, I'm in that meme of the, of the psychiatrist talking to the lunatic young man
00:21:45.800 in the padded cell walls. You say this, excuse me, young man, sir, this wall of separation between
00:21:51.740 church and state. Is it, is it in the room with us right now? Do you, do you hear it? Do you feel
00:21:58.260 the wall of, because it's not real. It's not real. It was never real. That phrase, the wall of
00:22:03.540 separation between church and state. It comes from a private letter from Thomas Jefferson. It means
00:22:08.460 absolutely nothing in the American law. What it might sort of kind of maybe refer to is the
00:22:15.620 establishment clause and the free exercise clause in the first amendment, which says that the federal
00:22:19.980 government will not establish a church at the national level. The reason that the federal
00:22:24.720 government did not establish a church at the national level is not because we were going to
00:22:28.540 be an atheist, secular country and have nothing to do with religion. The reason we didn't separate
00:22:32.400 a, establish a church at the national level is because there were already established churches at
00:22:37.640 the state level. And they persisted for decades after ratification. Unfortunately, the 14th amendment,
00:22:45.780 one of the negative, possibly unintended consequences of the 14th amendment is that later on the Supreme
00:22:51.940 Court interpreted that, uh, to mean that you would deprive states of the rights to do a whole lot of
00:22:58.520 things. And you would apply these, the federal constitution and the rights enumerated therein to
00:23:05.180 the states to override the states. It's a topic, I suppose, for another day. You could go on at great
00:23:09.960 length about that, but it's not in the constitution. At the very least, we have to say the separation of
00:23:14.740 church and state. It's not in the constitution and it can't possibly be because just zooming out from
00:23:20.300 the legal constitutional perspective for a second, uh, getting into the just broad philosophical
00:23:25.420 historical perspective, all states have to have something to do with religion because all law has
00:23:32.740 to have something to do with religion because all civil laws and constitutional laws ultimately have
00:23:37.180 to say something about and derive from the natural and moral law. So it's just, it's just simply a fact
00:23:43.940 when we come together in political society, we have to hold certain things sacred and certain
00:23:49.040 things taboo. We have to value certain things when we have to discard other things. We, we have to
00:23:55.460 encourage certain things and discourage other things. The basic charge of statecraft is do good
00:24:00.320 and avoid evil and have human flourishing and pursue happiness and, and give, give people the kind
00:24:07.100 of society that we want to live in, especially when you're talking about self-government.
00:24:11.300 And all, all you had with this main law that was just struck down was a, a religious discrimination
00:24:17.780 against Christianity. You could support the, the religion of transgender Gnosticism. You could
00:24:24.520 support the religion of secular humanism, human rights. You could support the religion of LGBT,
00:24:32.400 LMNOP. You could support all those, the religion of Marxism. You can support all those things. The only
00:24:37.800 religion you couldn't support is Christianity. The only, the only religion you're not allowed to
00:24:41.580 support is true religion, traditional religion, the religion that animated our country and our
00:24:46.380 civilization. That didn't make a lot of sense. And so it's very good that the court struck it down.

00:25:50.460 and to just, you know, feel that energy. Who should we remove from office? One politician,
00:25:55.760 the most powerful politician in the country. Dr. Fauci. What are you talking about?
00:26:00.640 We're doing culture here. I'm so thrilled to see this happening. If they say to half of the
00:26:04.640 country, you can't, that half of the country needs to say, screw you, we will.

00:26:54.700 Welcome back to the show. Here's the rub with the big conservative win at the Supreme Court.
00:27:11.680 The Supreme Court says in Carson v. Macon, Carson v. Macon, Michael very happy. 6-3,
00:27:18.140 you can't discriminate against Christian schools. If you're going to fund private schools with
00:27:22.680 taxpayer dollars, you've got to fund the Christian ones too. So here's what's going to happen.
00:27:26.820 The Satanic Temple, which is a group of left-wing atheists, they are going to start filing a lot of
00:27:36.200 cases, a lot of lawsuits. They're going to maybe establish some facade of a school and they're
00:27:41.600 going to try to get taxpayer dollars to teach Satanism. The Satanic Temple is different than
00:27:47.760 the Church of Satan, sort of. The Church of Satan, they are very committed Satanists who
00:27:53.540 worship the devil. The Satanic Temple is a group of internet atheists who just worship the Satan
00:28:01.440 ironically. It's just ironic. It's just really funny. Aren't they so clever? And they hate
00:28:06.720 Christianity. They hate Christianity. They want a firmer separation of church and state.
00:28:12.240 You'll notice though, they always try to make this distinction between the Church of Satan and the
00:28:15.680 Satanic Temple. They say, we're totally different things. You see, they worship Satan earnestly and
00:28:20.420 we worship Satan ironically. And my answer to that is always, are you sure? Are you sure you can worship
00:28:28.760 Satan ironically? I'm not sure you can. Your antipathies are both the same. You both hate God and you both
00:28:37.040 hate Christianity. Your symbolism is the same. You are both exalting symbols of Satan.
00:28:44.760 Your practical effect in society is the same. You are both seeking to undermine good, virtuous
00:28:51.180 institutions and religion and cultural practice and church and replace it with
00:28:57.900 hedonism and pursuing one's own will. I mean, I think of Alistair Crowley. I think of the more
00:29:04.020 prominent Satanists in history. They've said, the only thing, the only moral law that you should follow
00:29:09.120 is do as thou wilt. Just do whatever you want to do. That's the only moral law. That's the true
00:29:15.480 golden rule, they say. And then you look at the ironic, hipster, lefty, atheist Church of Satan.
00:29:20.920 They say the exact same thing. Yeah, just do whatever you want. If it feels good, do it.
00:29:26.560 I feel for them, the ironic, edgelord, atheist, Satan temple, because someday they're going to be in
00:29:34.300 for a really big surprise. Someday, when it's all over and they're facing the judgment seat,
00:29:41.360 they're going to find out you can't ironically worship Satan. More broadly, you can't do something
00:29:49.840 ironically all the time and have it still be ironic. Eventually, if you live your life,
00:29:57.180 hipsters really were very guilty of this. They were apathetic to everything. They would just do
00:30:02.160 things ironically. Isn't that funny? But if you do things ironically all the time, it just becomes
00:30:08.840 sincere. It's just earnest. That's just what you do. That is how you live. And then it's over and
00:30:14.500 that was your life. And then you're being tortured by the devil for eternity. That's not good. Don't
00:30:19.560 do that. You don't want to do that. So there's two reactions to the Satanists inevitably trying to
00:30:28.780 get public funds in Maine to fund their satanic schools. The first is, would it really be all
00:30:34.460 that different from the public schools? If actual outright self-styled Satanists formed a school,
00:30:44.400 would the curriculum look all that different from what is currently being taught in schools? Namely,
00:30:50.600 gosh, drag queen story hour. Drag queens often dressed up like actual demons going around and
00:30:55.120 twerking for little kids. The teachers, like the ones in California, grooming a poor little child
00:31:00.660 and convincing the child that the child should disregard his parents and should pretend to be
00:31:07.240 the other sex and go on cross-sex hormones. Frankly, I think the Satanists might blush.
00:31:13.820 I think that in some cases, the left-wing school teachers that are already around and the left-wing
00:31:19.320 administrators would out-Satanist the Satanists. You'd have these Satanists in Maine, they'd say,
00:31:26.420 yo, cool it, buddy. I don't want to chop up little kids, all right? Come on. Don't we have any limits
00:31:31.260 anymore? So that's the first part. The second part though, which is a legitimate constitutional and
00:31:38.120 legal question is, can we have limits? Can we say, yes, we're going to fund non-sectarian,
00:31:49.960 secular private schools with taxpayer money and Christian schools with taxpayer money and Jewish
00:31:56.080 schools with taxpayer money and Muslim schools with taxpayer money, but not Satanist schools.
00:32:02.000 Can we do that? I think we can. I think we can. We have to undo some stupid concepts that have
00:32:11.520 cropped up in our jurisprudence in the last few decades. For one, the idea that the government
00:32:18.060 has to be completely neutral on all questions of politics, culture, and religion. That's a new idea.
00:32:24.740 The idea of viewpoint neutrality, which some of the squish conservatives defend,
00:32:28.040 that idea dates back to 1995. This is not something that George Washington and Thomas
00:32:34.740 Jefferson and John Adams were defending, okay? If you went back to my rule of thumb, the old WWWD
00:32:42.260 rule, what would Washington do? WWFFD rule, what would the founding fathers do? And you said,
00:32:47.420 hey, this government that you're setting up, the brilliant ideas enshrined in the constitution and
00:32:52.340 this country. It naturally will follow from those ideas that we need taxpayer funded satanic temples.
00:32:59.940 They would laugh at you or they would look at you with bemusement or they would chase you out of
00:33:05.300 town on a rail. So we know that that wasn't the idea from the beginning. If you had told someone this
00:33:10.200 in 1947, that this is how things would be used, they would laugh at you. They would look at you with
00:33:15.940 bemusement. Frankly, even if you told someone this in the 60s, other than the radicals of the new left,
00:33:21.160 people would, they would laugh at you. And yet here we are. So what went wrong?
00:33:26.040 Number of things went wrong. The overt government discrimination against Christianity,
00:33:31.080 that went wrong. Kicking prayer out of public schools, pretending that the constitution prohibits
00:33:36.560 prayer in public schools, it doesn't. Kicking the Bible out of public schools, pretending that
00:33:40.560 the constitution bans the Bible, the most important book ever written, even if you don't believe in it.
00:33:44.700 You have to at least admit it's the most important book ever written, without which
00:33:47.880 Western civilization is completely incomprehensible. That's now, that's the only book you can't teach
00:33:54.840 in schools. You think that's in the constitution? I don't think so. You've got to go back and undo,
00:34:00.160 and ultimately what you have to undo is what Sotomayor was talking about. This fictional notion
00:34:05.120 that there is a firm wall of separation between church and state. There's not, it has never existed.
00:34:10.900 It's never been a real thing, at least for the first part of our country. It is a foreign concept
00:34:17.400 that was, that was brought about really in the middle to late 20th century. And it has not helped
00:34:24.660 our culture. Our culture has not gotten better in most ways since then. So time to get rid of it.
00:34:30.920 On this point of the ironic Satanists, this is just a minor point before we move on.
00:34:34.280 I was reminded when I was reading about these ironic Satanists of this story that didn't get
00:34:39.560 a ton of play. Mike Cernovich posted it around again recently too, that at CERN, the large Hadron
00:34:47.240 Collider, this probably the most important site for physics research on earth, there was a film that
00:34:56.020 leaked of a, of a satanic performed human sacrifice, like a sort of a show ritual, not a real human
00:35:05.640 sacrifice, but a feigned satanic ritual at CERN in front of a Hindu deity. And you look, you can watch
00:35:15.120 the video. It's really, it's, it's really, there's people in these black robes with fire all around and
00:35:22.840 then a light on, I think it's a statue of Shiva. And then a, a performed human sacrifice. And she
00:35:28.360 said, what, what the hell is, what are these scientists doing? And then CERN made a statement
00:35:35.860 about it. And they said, oh yeah, the footage was recorded as part of a prank by scientists at
00:35:44.180 Europe's top physics lab. CERN said that the ritual was just, it was just researchers and scientists
00:35:49.020 coming to work at the facility and taking their sense of humor a little too far. Ha ha ha. Yeah,
00:35:54.120 it's not a big, it's just a big, funny ha ha. It's just a funny little hoax joke. You know,
00:35:58.040 you know, when you joke, you know, you go out with friends and you, maybe you throw a couple back,
00:36:03.380 you have one too many Coca-Colas, and then you perform a black mass in front of a Hindu deity and
00:36:08.380 you pretend to sacrifice a human being. Ha, you know, and then maybe we shoot some pool afterward.
00:36:13.760 Maybe you gamble a little bit too much and you worship Moloch and Baal and the devil. You know
00:36:18.540 how that happens? Ha ha ha. You jokester. You owe you with your dry sense of humor.
00:36:25.840 I don't know about you. That explanation doesn't suffice for me. I'm going to need a little bit
00:36:31.400 more before I just write this off. This is, gosh, you've got gay frogs. You've got weird stuff in
00:36:39.360 the water that the EPA just admitted. Now you've got devil worshipers at CERN. This is really shaking
00:36:44.980 a lot of what I had believed previously about how normal politics is. If you do that, if you engage
00:36:54.340 in black satanic rituals, ironically, and it's not ironic, okay? And it's bad. And the fact that the
00:37:02.900 symbolism continues to exist is, and has existed for millennia, that should tell you something.
00:37:09.740 If you're on the side with the guys in the dark black robes and the fire performing the human
00:37:15.200 sacrifices, you're on the wrong side. Get on a different side, okay? It's demonic stuff.
00:37:22.420 Transgenderism is demonic. It's the only way to describe, it is a way, I'm not saying that the
00:37:27.780 people who are under the sway of transgenderism and in the thrall of this ideology are intentionally
00:37:33.760 worshiping demons, but it is a demonic influence that tells you that your soul and your body are in
00:37:39.780 opposition to one another and you've got to mutilate yourself. It's just so anti-human. It's just so
00:37:44.560 extremely destructive. And whatever we know about the devil, we know two things. We know he's a liar
00:37:53.440 and we know that he hates life. He specifically hates human beings. And so when people are really
00:37:59.140 anti-human, when they're really anti-life, and when they ground their ideas on manifest lies,
00:38:07.300 you've got a sense that the old devil might be lurking around somewhere and you probably want
00:38:11.380 to get on the other side. On this point of transgenderism and demonic policy, there is a
00:38:17.580 new policy from FINA, the International Swimming Association, that is, it's being reported in some
00:38:23.920 places as being really good for the conservative side and really tough on the transgender side
00:38:30.200 because they're, they're tightening up the rules and they're saying, look, these dudes can't just
00:38:35.440 willy-nilly compete against the women because they're, they're going to beat all the women. And so
00:38:38.980 they're, they're going to have to, uh, they're, they're going to have to have transitioned
00:38:44.860 before a certain age. If they transitioned before the age of 12, then they can compete against the
00:38:53.140 women. But if they transitioned after, they can't do that. And then FINA is going to try to create an
00:38:58.420 open category for these sort of sexually confused people to compete against one another that isn't
00:39:03.380 the male category or isn't the, the female category. This is a bad idea. They're trying to split the baby
00:39:11.860 on this and it's not going to work. First, did you catch what the worst part of this policy is?
00:39:17.340 Did you get, it's the, it's right there at the top. If you transition before the age of 12,
00:39:22.620 12, then you can compete against the women. What does that do? That creates an incentive
00:39:27.720 to transition, to go on puberty blockers and cross sex hormones and chop up your body
00:39:33.040 before the age of 12. What do you, what happens when you get, when you create incentives, you get
00:39:38.580 more of that behavior. So the result of this policy is going to be an increase in the number of poor
00:39:43.620 little kids who get their bodies all chopped, chopped up and their lives ruined so that their psycho
00:39:48.420 parents can get them to compete in the swimming race where they think they're going to win and get a
00:39:52.440 scholarship. That's the first part of it. Second part of it, this open category just punts the
00:40:01.980 question. It says, well, yeah, we just don't want to rule on it. And so yeah, the men, they're not men.
00:40:06.880 They are men. They're not women. You, you can't, you can't split the baby on this. Okay. You have to
00:40:13.080 come to an answer. And the reason that people don't want to come to an answer is because they're
00:40:17.100 squishes and because they're cowards in some way and because maybe they don't have moral clarity
00:40:22.380 and also because they don't realize how common, how much common sense ordinary people have. We are
00:40:30.240 inundated with this crazy transgender idea from every corner. And so we think that it's a common
00:40:35.580 popular belief. It's not. The vast majority of people know this is completely insane.
00:40:40.340 You can say that. You can have confidence. In fact, if you say that, you're going to be more
00:40:45.320 politically popular. You're going to win more elections. You're going, you might be attacked by
00:40:49.600 some of the prevailing institutions, but the people are going to be on your side and they're
00:40:52.900 going to be on your side because it's right. Either a man is a man and not a woman or a man
00:40:57.620 is not necessarily a man and can be a woman. You've got to pick though. And if, if it's the latter,
00:41:03.940 if you can really be a woman born in a man's body or vice versa, then, then we need to trans the
00:41:08.900 kids. And then that's fine. And then we can incentivize it below the age of 12 or even
00:41:12.500 younger because it's true, right? And then it actually would be cruel to let the kids go through
00:41:17.040 puberty. But if it's fake, which we all know it is, if we, if it's just completely absurd,
00:41:21.620 which we all know it is, then you shouldn't do it at 12 or 14 or 20 or 75. It's wrong and destructive.
00:41:29.560 We haven't lost this issue. There are some conservatives who want to preemptively surrender
00:41:34.700 this issue because they're the surrender party, because they're the John Cornyn party,
00:41:38.060 because they're giving in on very important issues. I'm not just gender. Let's talk about
00:41:43.300 gun rights, talk about constitutional rights without any need to whatsoever. But we haven't
00:41:47.380 lost this issue. We haven't even lost marriage by the way. We just radically redefined marriage in
00:41:53.140 this country. The Supreme court did within the last decade, changed the definition of marriage to
00:41:58.160 something that is completely unrecognizable from all of human history. And then what happened? The
00:42:02.060 squishes right away, they said, okay, it's over. Move on. Time to move on. The squishes were thrilled
00:42:06.060 when the Supreme court redefined marriage. It's over. Got to move on. It's not over guys. It's not over.
00:42:10.260 Actually, people are still, people are still standing up on this issue because, because the truth is on
00:42:17.660 our side. There's a court in Japan that just ruled that the Japanese constitution does not prohibit
00:42:27.640 bans on same sex marriage. There are, there are, this is such a semantically complex sentence.
00:42:35.240 It's, it's hard to even make sense of it because for, because the, the marriage debate was never
00:42:43.400 about whether or not you should ban gay marriage. It was never about whether or not you should legalize
00:42:48.520 gay marriage. It was never about whether gay people should have the right to get married. The
00:42:51.600 marriage debate really was always about what is marriage. It wasn't about hating gay people and
00:42:58.020 wanting to go, go attack gay people and throw them off a rooftop. It was not about any antipathy
00:43:03.020 whatsoever. It was about a very simple question that had been simply answered for all of human
00:43:07.260 history until five minutes ago. The question was, what is marriage? And at the very most basic level,
00:43:13.540 I think every society everywhere forever has said that sexual difference, the difference between men and
00:43:19.200 women has something to do with marriage. The, the complementarity of the sexes, the idea that
00:43:24.800 you come together and have the openness to the possibility of life and making a family and having
00:43:31.220 kids that has something to do with marriage. And it's not that there are, that everyone gets to have a
00:43:36.900 kid. It's not that there aren't problems and eccentricities in people's marriages, but,
00:43:41.120 but marriage looks like something. And then the Supreme Court in Obergefell, Anthony Kennedy,
00:43:47.240 the romantic poet decided, nope, doesn't look like that at all. It doesn't mean anything. It's
00:43:50.400 whatever I say it is. Love is love, equal sign, equal sign, equal sign. Well, this court in Japan
00:43:55.360 just said, no, that's not true. The Osaka district court sided with the argument from the country of
00:44:01.080 Japan, which said that, quote, the purpose of marriage is reproduction. And it agreed with the
00:44:05.760 definition that marriage is a relationship between a man and a woman to bear children and raise them
00:44:09.860 together in cohabitation. Osaka said that the marriage system is a system that exists based on the,
00:44:16.340 quote, pragmatic purpose of the society protecting men and women to bear children and raise them.
00:44:22.240 That's true. Why do I bring this up? Why do I bring up this court case from Japan?
00:44:26.800 Just to remind you, this isn't over. The surrender caucus, the squishes don't need to give this up.
00:44:33.320 Why have the squishes in the conservative side gone weak on gay marriage? It's a simple reason,
00:44:38.820 and I sympathize with it because they don't want to be called phobes. They don't, and they don't,
00:44:42.820 and they legitimately don't want to offend their gay friends and their gay relatives,
00:44:46.520 and they don't want to be seen as haters and bigots. There's nothing, there's nothing hateful
00:44:51.200 and bigoted about saying that marriage has a meaning and people can pursue, pursue happiness as
00:44:58.120 they see fit. And people can have the intimate relationships as they like, but no one has the
00:45:06.560 right to redefine reality to something that it never was and is not now and never will be.
00:45:14.700 No one has the right, it's not good for anybody. It's not right, it's not good for the gay guys.
00:45:17.880 It's not good for the lesbian toys and toy story. It's not good for anybody else. It,
00:45:22.140 it doesn't expand marriage and make it more inclusive. It just destroys marriage because if
00:45:30.160 marriage has any meaning at all, it has to have something to do with sexual complementarity
00:45:38.080 and at least the possibility, the logical possibility of children. If it doesn't, then what is it?
00:45:47.620 Then what, and why is it only two people? And why can't it be, what's the difference between a
00:45:52.440 marriage and a town or a state or a country? It's just relationships of people. Love is love.
00:45:56.680 There are different kinds, of course. Speaking of identity politics, there's a coffee shop
00:46:01.200 looking to hire new people. And this coffee shop puts in their sign to go hire people. They say,
00:46:09.060 white cis males are the last choice. When you apply, if you're a black trans female, presumably you'll be
00:46:21.100 at the top of the list. But if you're a white cis male, you are the last choice. And people,
00:46:26.680 people know this is wrong, but this policy already exists. We're all going after this random coffee
00:46:33.760 shop that Libs of TikTok found. The policy already exists. It's existed for decades. It's called
00:46:38.980 affirmative action. And you see it in college admissions and you see it in hiring. The idea
00:46:44.940 that white people will be disadvantaged because of their race. I'm not saying they're disadvantaged in
00:46:51.800 life. I'm not saying, oh, woe is the white people. I don't know. I got a suntan the other day. I'm not
00:46:56.440 sure I count as a white person anymore. Swarthy people, where do we fall on that? I don't know.
00:47:00.720 That's a topic for another day. I'm not saying that there's, nope, the black people don't have certain
00:47:05.740 historical baggage in America. I'm not saying that socioeconomically everyone's on the level. I'm not
00:47:12.000 saying that, I'm just saying at a very practical level, there's a law, right? The only,
00:47:16.080 the only legal racial discrimination that you can have is against white people and to some degree
00:47:21.660 against Asians in favor of black people and Mexican people. That's the law. And so, yeah,
00:47:27.960 the coffee shop is being honest about it. The coffee shop's being a little provocative and in
00:47:32.320 your face about it, but that's the rule for every other business too, just about.
00:47:37.660 So if we have a problem with that, if we think that's unjust, then we should deal with that in our
00:47:42.540 law and say, no, no more racial preferences, no more racial discrimination. That's wrong. It's
00:47:47.680 racist. We used to call that racist. Now we, now we don't call that racist. I think the majority of
00:47:54.500 people are on our side there. I think the majority of people get that. The squishes don't. The, the
00:48:00.060 putting heads who run our institutions, they don't get it, but the people do. Frankly,
00:48:07.620 even the heads of the liberal institutions are starting to kind of get it. There was a report just
00:48:12.060 came out of, of media-ite about CNN. It says that CNN's president, Chris Licht, the, the new
00:48:18.600 president who took over for Jeff Zucker, just told CNN staffers to stop referring to Trump's election
00:48:25.740 claims that the election was rigged as the big lie. That CNN staffers, just like robots, had been
00:48:32.700 referring to, to Trump's questions about the election as the big lie. Republicans are pushing
00:48:37.880 the big lie, the big lie. And they're using that because it's a phrase that was used by Hitler
00:48:41.340 and Mein Kampf. But these guys are so dumb that they don't realize how Hitler was using the phrase.
00:48:47.220 Hitler was using the phrase and accusing the Jews of perpetrating a big lie when they were,
00:48:53.060 when they themselves were criticizing and going after a German general. So what's ironic about
00:48:58.560 the whole saga is that CNN was putting itself in the position of the Nazis and Republicans in the
00:49:05.680 position of the Jews, but they don't know anything. They've never read a history book. They don't know
00:49:08.520 what they're talking about. The reason that the new president of CNN is calling for the staffers
00:49:13.940 to stop using that phrase is he, he says it's worrisome, or I'm sorry, the staffers are saying
00:49:19.900 it's worrisome that we're being told how to talk about the worst things ever in American democracy.
00:49:23.460 The president of CNN is saying, guys, no one believes this. It's dumb. It sounds dumb. Most
00:49:29.400 people know it's not true. It's crushing our ratings. Even these guys get it. The wind is at the
00:49:35.300 backs of the Republicans, not just the Republicans, the conservatives, not just the conservatives,
00:49:39.640 the cultural conservatives. Now is not the time to squish. I'm Michael Knowles. This is the Michael
