Ep. 1040 - The Woke War Heats Up

Summary

A leftist woman yelled at me in the middle of the street and told me to go back to where I came from. I don t have time to waste on colonizing. It's not about race, it's about race.

00:00:00.000 In some conflicts, there is a clear good guy and a clear bad guy.
00:00:05.060 Say, America versus the dirty, rotten, godless, commie Soviet Union in the Cold War.
00:00:12.120 In other cases, maybe a little more of a complicated conflict,
00:00:16.960 there is at least a clear ally involved.
00:00:19.680 Let's say, the United Kingdom versus Argentina in the Falklands War.
00:00:24.360 But in some conflicts, say, the Iran-Iraq War, for example,
00:00:31.080 you don't really like either side and you mostly wish that they could both lose.
00:00:36.080 It was this last sort of conflict that just played out on the streets of Portland
00:00:40.820 where a white leftist woman and a vaguely ethnic leftist man
00:00:45.740 yelled at each other in the middle of the street.
00:00:49.620 I don't have time to waste on colonizing.
00:00:51.700 She told me to go back to where I came from.
00:00:55.560 Do you see that?
00:00:56.080 Because we don't drive here in Oregon.
00:00:58.900 We're kind and we make space.
00:01:01.340 And as someone who's from here as well, I'm so tired of people driving like you just did.
00:01:05.620 All right, get out of my face.
00:01:06.820 It's constant.
00:01:07.080 Get out of my face.
00:01:07.640 Admit you're wrong and that it's not a race thing.
00:01:10.140 Admit that you're driving like an asshole.
00:01:10.900 Admit you're what?
00:01:11.840 Admit you have a colonizer mindset.
00:01:13.580 It is not about race.
00:01:14.900 Yeah, tell that my ass.
00:01:16.260 Yell at me.
00:01:17.160 It is not about race.
00:01:18.580 Yeah, it is.
00:01:19.160 It's not the problem here.
00:01:19.920 If you want things to change, when you fuck up-
00:01:22.460 Oh, so it's on me.
00:01:23.200 So it's on me.
00:01:23.800 Do not call the race card.
00:01:25.040 Don't f*** me.
00:01:25.620 Because you do not call the-
00:01:27.280 Shut up.
00:01:28.020 And don't even get in her face.
00:01:29.760 Do not get in her face.
00:01:31.720 You're taking out your pain and oppression on me right now.
00:01:35.360 Do not.
00:01:35.600 Hey, hey.
00:01:36.300 Stay out.
00:01:38.060 Stay out.
00:01:38.960 Stay out of this.
00:01:39.740 We are.
00:01:41.700 It's important.
00:01:42.860 Gordon, give it a moment.
00:01:44.440 If you want anything to change.
00:01:46.600 If you want-
00:01:47.260 Shut up.
00:01:47.720 It's not on me who changes, it's on you and your colonizer mindset.
00:01:51.680 So get the f*** out of my face now, you white lady.
00:01:57.080 You white lady.
00:01:59.620 I love it.
00:02:01.520 I love it.
00:02:02.060 I can't look away.
00:02:02.900 Like a car accident, which there may have been a car accident here.
00:02:05.580 Eventually there might have been.
00:02:06.540 I can't look away.
00:02:07.660 I love how she screams, it's not about race.
00:02:11.240 Sure seems like it's about race for that guy.
00:02:16.280 And it's about race because the libs for decades have cultivated and promoted a decidedly racial
00:02:24.820 ideology that says white people are evil and every other type of person is good and everything
00:02:30.920 that is in even the slightest way European must be disparaged and overthrown because Western
00:02:37.180 civilization is evil.
00:02:38.880 And now that ideology is coming back for the libs, for those white libs, with a vengeance.
00:02:46.720 I myself, I happen to be immune to white guilt.
00:02:51.440 Perhaps this is because I am Sicilian.
00:02:53.620 We are the swarthiest of the arguably white people.
00:02:57.780 Something about the extra melanin, I think, inoculates us to white guilt, perhaps.
00:03:03.460 But I do not hate myself and I don't hate my ancestors and I don't hate white people or
00:03:09.640 any other group of people because of their race and I don't hate Western civilization.
00:03:15.040 I actually like my neighbors and my ancestors and my country and my civilization and I want
00:03:20.300 to build all those things up and I want for them to succeed.
00:03:25.240 There's a big difference between the right and the left today.
00:03:29.180 The conservatives welcome everybody.
00:03:32.260 They encourage everybody, any race, any sex, whatever.
00:03:38.320 We encourage everybody to come on in if they want to support our cause.
00:03:42.140 We are constantly trying to win people over.
00:03:45.440 We're always bragging about winning over the old school liberals.
00:03:49.080 The old school liberals are coming over to us.
00:03:50.960 The Hispanic vote is coming over.
00:03:52.740 A larger percentage of the black vote, we're going to get it.
00:03:55.800 The libs, on the other hand, are not only not welcoming new people, they are actively
00:04:01.880 excluding their own supporters if they happen to be of the wrong race or sex.
00:04:07.920 They're telling white people, including white liberals, to shut up.
00:04:11.660 Telling men, including liberal men, to shut up.
00:04:14.520 They're telling women, including liberal women, who oppose transgenderism, to shut up.
00:04:21.220 They are eating their own.
00:04:23.120 They're going after Bette Midler now, for goodness sakes.
00:04:26.200 They are devouring their own.
00:04:28.780 And they have to devour their own.
00:04:30.820 Because their political program is to devour.
00:04:34.520 It's to break everything down.
00:04:37.080 Topple every statue.
00:04:39.480 The revolution always eats its own children.
00:04:43.700 I'm Michael Knowles.
00:04:44.520 This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:04:53.020 Welcome back to the show.
00:04:54.300 My favorite comment yesterday is from Alex Benson, who says,
00:04:57.620 As someone who was mauled by a bear in the woods when I was 15, I have to say, Michael,
00:05:02.120 that your bear phobia is completely understandable.
00:05:05.400 I share it with you.
00:05:06.600 Wow, I'm sorry to hear that happened to you.
00:05:08.920 You obviously have firsthand knowledge, though, of my deeply irrational fear.
00:05:14.820 Sometimes fears can be rational.
00:05:17.580 And sometimes, this is probably even more common, when conservatives disapprove of something,
00:05:23.520 it's not from fear.
00:05:25.500 We just don't like it.
00:05:27.360 And we think it's bad for everybody involved.
00:05:30.580 Not everything has to be a fear.
00:05:31.920 Not everything has to be irrational.
00:05:33.980 When people who believe that men are actually women are lecturing us on our irrational thoughts,
00:05:41.320 clearly, something's gone a little right.
00:05:43.840 It's a little pot and kettle type of situation, I think.
00:05:47.000 We've got to protect our minds, our communities, our country.
00:05:50.800 When you want to protect your home, you got to check out Ring.
00:05:53.060 Right now, head on over to ring.com slash Knowles.
00:05:56.440 The summer is upon us.
00:05:58.240 It is time for people to travel.
00:06:00.220 I think about half my team is out right now.
00:06:03.220 They're all out sick, probably sitting on a beach, sipping a pina colada somewhere.
00:06:06.900 It's why you need to have a ring.
00:06:08.060 You want to make sure that your home is protected, whether you're in the home or whether you're
00:06:12.020 outside the home and you're on a beach on the other side of the world.
00:06:15.160 Ring protects not just your front step.
00:06:17.460 You know about Ring's video doorbell.
00:06:19.020 Ring protects not just your windows and your doors from freeze, fire, flood, the bad guys.
00:06:24.920 But if you get Ring Alarm Pro, if you become a pro, just like me, go pro, you can protect
00:06:32.300 your physical and your digital home.
00:06:34.940 CNET calls Ring Alarm Pro a giant leap for home security.
00:06:39.460 I love these guys.
00:06:40.620 I totally trust these guys.
00:06:42.420 They've been with this show since the very beginning.
00:06:46.160 Head on over to ring.com slash Knowles right now.
00:06:50.420 That is ring.com slash Knowles.
00:06:52.560 Do not wait.
00:06:53.560 Protect your home.
00:06:54.500 Make sure you can rest easy this summer.
00:06:57.160 Protect your physical and your digital life.
00:06:58.860 Ring.com slash Knowles.
00:07:01.780 The revolution is eating its own.
00:07:05.560 The libs are pitting everyone against each other.
00:07:08.680 The white libs are now going after, they're yelling, go back to where you come from, to
00:07:15.280 the Native American libs in whom they have cultivated this sense of identity politics.
00:07:20.680 Then the Native American libs start calling the white libs colonizers.
00:07:23.780 You've got the feminist libs.
00:07:25.720 They're not so happy with the transgender libs, but the transgender libs, they say the feminist
00:07:30.400 libs are TERFs.
00:07:31.920 They're phobic.
00:07:32.740 They're awful.
00:07:33.760 They're everybody is at each other's throats.
00:07:36.980 It reminds me of C.S.
00:07:39.440 Lewis, it reminds me of the Screwtape Letters, where the Screwtape Letters is this book, this
00:07:44.980 imagined series of correspondence from a demon to his nephew demon.
00:07:50.660 And they talk about how they're going to win over souls and ruin souls among human beings.
00:07:57.800 And the thing you quickly learn about the demons is they all just want to eat each other.
00:08:01.760 They don't love each other like in the good sense of love, meaning willing the good of the other
00:08:06.300 person.
00:08:06.660 They just want to consume and devour each other.
00:08:08.580 It's kind of that way with the libs.
00:08:09.980 They're just devouring each other right now.
00:08:13.220 You're seeing this with the singer Macy Gray.
00:08:15.800 Macy Gray is a huge lib.
00:08:18.220 Macy Gray is such a big lib that she campaigned a few years ago to get rid of the American flag.
00:08:23.540 She said the American flag no longer represents America.
00:08:27.420 It's a terrible image.
00:08:29.340 It's basically just the new Confederate flag.
00:08:32.180 And she was going after the January 6th, and she was attacking half the country.
00:08:36.180 She is a big time, bona fide, card-carrying lib.
00:08:41.780 And Macy Gray just went on Piers Morgan's show and said, hey, guys, you know, man,
00:08:47.000 I'm a big lib and everything, but transgenderism is kind of crazy, right?
00:08:54.460 And I will say this, and everybody's going to hate me, but as a woman, just because you
00:08:59.320 go change your parts doesn't make you a woman.
00:09:01.380 Right.
00:09:01.720 Sorry.
00:09:02.820 You feel that?
00:09:04.120 I know that for a fact.
00:09:06.260 She's right.
00:09:07.160 She's right.
00:09:07.700 Stopped clock twice a day.
00:09:08.800 She's right.
00:09:09.260 She knows it for a fact.
00:09:11.040 Just because you go in and mutilate your body that if you're a man, that's not going to
00:09:15.580 make you a woman.
00:09:17.300 And she says this, and she gets a whole lot of backlash.
00:09:19.740 J.K. Rowling is another very liberal woman who has made this point, and now she is public
00:09:25.500 enemy number one for the intersectional libs.
00:09:28.100 They call her a TERF, a trans-exclusionary radical feminist.
00:09:33.040 They're just hemorrhaging people from their coalition on the left.
00:09:39.100 Well, if you don't agree on transgenderism, you're out.
00:09:41.240 If you don't agree on white guilt, you're out.
00:09:43.260 If you don't agree on this, that, or the other thing, you're out, you're out, you're
00:09:46.400 out.
00:09:46.520 If you don't agree 100% on abortion, if you don't agree on transing the kids, on drag
00:09:50.900 shows and public libraries, they're just spiraling.
00:09:53.240 All of these people who they could ordinarily attract to their side, they're casting them
00:09:59.960 all out.
00:10:00.780 Bette Midler, oh my gosh, Bette Midler.
00:10:03.560 Ever since Trump was thrown off of Twitter, Bette Midler has been my favorite Twitter
00:10:08.620 account because she is so oblivious and she so just regurgitates the most base level left
00:10:15.720 wing talking points.
00:10:17.060 Bette Midler just got in trouble.
00:10:19.000 She got in trouble because she said, women, women, we're being oppressed, right?
00:10:24.100 She was just spouting ordinary 40, 50 years ago feminist talking points.
00:10:28.740 But she doesn't realize now that the left is eating its own on feminism because of
00:10:32.480 transgenderism.
00:10:33.400 So she said, women are being erased.
00:10:35.160 They're calling us birthing persons.
00:10:36.800 They're referring to chest feeding, all of the kind of transgender language.
00:10:41.160 And then Bette got a huge amount of pushback, not from the right, from the left.
00:10:48.240 So then Bette said, oh gosh, okay, she issues an apology.
00:10:51.500 She says, people of the world, my tweet about women was a response to this fascinating and
00:10:57.700 well-written piece in the New York Times on July 3rd.
00:11:00.840 And it was this piece about transgenderism erasing women.
00:11:03.900 There was no intention of anything exclusionary or transphobic.
00:11:07.580 It was the same old SHIT women.
00:11:11.380 It's about the same old SHIT women, all women have been putting up with since the cavemen.
00:11:17.180 But look, I've fought for marginalized people and I've always supported and adored them.
00:11:21.340 And she goes on, she's just spiraling.
00:11:22.820 And she's saying, no, no, no, I'm a good person.
00:11:24.160 Why are you coming after me?
00:11:26.000 I'm one of the good ones.
00:11:26.900 No, but your talking points are a little outdated, Bette.
00:11:29.520 That's the problem.
00:11:30.340 She then tries to dig herself out of it.
00:11:32.000 She posts a picture of the Supreme Court, but all the conservatives on the court look
00:11:36.020 like Muslims.
00:11:36.880 They've got Muslim headdress and a burqa and the beards on.
00:11:41.260 And the implication here is that they're theocratic or something like that.
00:11:44.920 What Bette doesn't realize is the picture is very Islamophobic, isn't it?
00:11:49.560 Just like that first comment was transphobic.
00:11:51.780 The second one is Islamophobic.
00:11:54.100 One minute she's going after the transvestites, the next minute she goes after the Muslims.
00:11:58.380 Why?
00:11:59.100 Because five, 10 years ago, this kind of rhetoric would have been completely ordinary.
00:12:04.440 You wouldn't even think about this sort of thing.
00:12:06.520 The left would have been totally on board with it.
00:12:09.020 But because the revolution constantly has to accelerate, because it's constantly, it never
00:12:14.340 stops.
00:12:14.860 It's always perpetuating itself.
00:12:16.920 Eventually, it's going to contradict itself.
00:12:19.340 Eventually, it's going to eat its own.
00:12:21.740 The people who constructed the terror of the French Revolution, what happens to them?
00:12:25.720 They get their heads chopped off.
00:12:27.400 The revolution eats its own.
00:12:29.500 And poor Bette, who isn't, she isn't the most up to date.
00:12:33.820 She's not firing on all those pistons, okay?
00:12:37.760 She's using slightly outdated talking points, and it's enough to ruin her reputation among
00:12:45.900 her comrades.
00:12:48.220 Speaking of clueless actresses, Jessica Biel posted one of my favorite social media posts
00:12:55.720 that I've seen in days.
00:12:58.620 I don't know.
00:12:59.020 There's really good stuff coming out these days because the libs are so clueless.
00:13:02.280 They're so behind the ball here.
00:13:03.640 It was a picture of Jessica Biel with her husband, Justin Timberlake, in front of the
00:13:08.200 Eiffel Tower.
00:13:09.700 She tweets out, or posts on Instagram, you have croissants and women's rights?
00:13:15.880 Damn, take me back.
00:13:18.440 Because France, you see, they've got women's rights.
00:13:20.080 Unlike America, where in America, we won't let you kill your baby in some circumstances.
00:13:26.680 In America, in some states, in some circumstances, you're not allowed to kill your baby.
00:13:31.440 And so Jessica Biel, who is completely ignorant of pretty much everything, she posts this picture
00:13:37.960 of France, which is this beacon of liberalism.
00:13:40.120 It's leftism.
00:13:40.680 That's where we get the term left in politics.
00:13:42.720 Comes from France.
00:13:43.920 Comes from the French Revolution.
00:13:45.340 And she says, ah, take me back.
00:13:47.680 You've got good food and women's rights.
00:13:51.240 Because Jessica Biel doesn't realize that France bans abortions after 14 weeks.
00:13:56.060 France has, and for a very long time, has had, much more restrictive laws on abortion than
00:14:05.180 the United States does.
00:14:07.360 But Jessica Biel doesn't know that.
00:14:09.760 Jessica Biel doesn't know.
00:14:11.860 She doesn't know what the Dobbs decision is actually going to mean.
00:14:14.600 She doesn't know what the overruling of Roe v. Wade actually means.
00:14:17.560 She doesn't know what abortion laws are around the world.
00:14:20.060 She doesn't realize that America is the outlier when it comes to abortion.
00:14:23.700 We're the outlier on the pro-abortion side.
00:14:27.420 The only other countries that have laws as barbaric when it comes to abortion as the
00:14:32.460 United States does are North Korea, Canada, America's hat, and China.
00:14:38.680 The other countries are much, much more restrictive of abortion.
00:14:43.920 And it's not even entirely Jessica Biel's fault.
00:14:46.820 I think a lot of the French don't quite understand this either.
00:14:49.180 I mentioned this at the very end of the show yesterday.
00:14:50.820 The French, for some reason, are in France in front of the Eiffel Tower, protesting the
00:14:58.320 American Supreme Court's decision to overrule Roe v. Wade and send the issue of abortion
00:15:04.460 back to the States.
00:15:05.160 Just really feeling this protest because of what has just happened in the United States.
00:15:29.800 I can't believe our good fortune.
00:15:33.160 And it just feels like a lot of solidarity here.
00:15:37.220 It's very special.
00:15:38.460 It feels like a lot of solidarity.
00:15:40.820 That's true.
00:15:41.440 That's the only thing you can say about this.
00:15:43.380 They've got signs.
00:15:44.640 They're written in French, which is saying it's a right.
00:15:48.420 It's the law.
00:15:51.060 What law?
00:15:52.180 Last I checked, the French are not subject to American law.
00:15:55.720 And by the way, it's not even a right in your law, French.
00:16:00.840 And by the way, the 14 weeks is a liberalization of abortion laws.
00:16:04.480 Previously, it had been 12 weeks or 10 weeks.
00:16:07.840 What do you mean it's a right?
00:16:09.160 It's a law.
00:16:09.800 It's the solidarity.
00:16:11.520 This gets to something we were talking about yesterday, too, which is this idea of a liberal
00:16:14.700 world order.
00:16:15.500 The Biden administration going on TV saying, stop complaining about gas prices.
00:16:19.420 Stop complaining about how your economy is falling apart.
00:16:21.500 We in America, we've got to defend the liberal world order, and you're going to have to pay
00:16:25.740 for it.
00:16:26.880 This is the liberal world order.
00:16:28.480 This is hegemonic liberalism.
00:16:30.160 This is France viewing itself not as an independent nation, but as a kind of just vassal of the
00:16:35.120 United States, of the American liberal empire that spreads its liberal values all around the
00:16:42.580 world.
00:16:43.420 And so there's a sense of solidarity.
00:16:45.020 Even when the actual law, the actual constitution of these countries does not back it up, and
00:16:52.940 this is a massive acceleration.
00:16:54.560 These French pro-abortion activists are not only out ahead of the French law, they're not
00:17:01.060 only contradicting their own law, they're contradicting the view of abortion everywhere
00:17:07.920 in the whole, even in the whole liberal empire, even in the United States, until very, very
00:17:12.980 recently.
00:17:13.520 Back in 2015, even back in 2015, seven years ago, we were not living in the shout your
00:17:20.180 abortion on demand without apology, have an abortion at the 19th trimester, your baby is
00:17:28.420 going to be born in Virginia, and then you can make a decision of whether you want to
00:17:32.580 kill him or not.
00:17:33.580 We weren't there in 2015.
00:17:34.980 In 2015, the current president of the United States, Joe Biden, then the vice president of
00:17:40.460 the United States, said that abortion is always wrong.
00:17:44.400 You know, there's even been the disagreement in our church, not that abortion is always
00:17:50.240 wrong.
00:17:51.520 Abortion is always wrong.
00:17:53.500 Abortion is always wrong.
00:17:55.620 So says Joe Biden, the Democrat, then vice president, now president of the United States.
00:18:01.560 A mere seven years later, we are at abortion on demand without apology.
00:18:05.580 The court has made its decision.
00:18:06.720 Let's see the court enforce it, massive protests in the streets, not just in America, but all
00:18:11.580 around the world.
00:18:13.660 Biden right now is saying that of all the things destabilizing the world, the Putin invasion
00:18:21.340 of Ukraine, the American complete surrender on energy policy, the collapse of the American
00:18:28.420 and Western economies.
00:18:29.700 Biden says the biggest factor destabilizing the world, overruling Roe v. Wade.
00:18:34.680 The one thing that has been destabilizing is the outrageous behavior of the Supreme Court
00:18:41.560 of the United States, an overruling, not only Roe v. Wade, but essentially challenging the
00:18:47.600 right to privacy.
00:18:48.860 We've been a leader in the world in terms of personal rights and privacy rights.
00:18:53.440 And it is a mistake, in my view, for the Supreme Court to do what it did.
00:18:57.800 The outrageous behavior of the Supreme Court to restore the rule of law and admit that the
00:19:05.260 most ridiculous decision in American history that not even the libs defend is not a legit
00:19:09.500 decision.
00:19:10.060 That's the one thing destabilizing the world.
00:19:12.660 Not the virus that escaped from the laboratory in Wuhan, probably.
00:19:17.180 Not the global lockdown that occurred for two years.
00:19:20.800 Not the major war in Europe for the first time since World War II.
00:19:25.520 Not the collapse of American energy policy.
00:19:28.680 Not the, not the, not the, not the, not the.
00:19:30.420 No, it's that the Supreme Court is allowing the people of the states to make their own laws
00:19:35.660 with regard to abortion.
00:19:36.880 That's the most destabilizing thing.
00:19:38.940 So says Joe Biden.
00:19:41.040 Why?
00:19:41.420 Because the United States has been a leader on the right to privacy.
00:19:45.620 I can get right now.
00:19:47.600 Pull up, just Google Constitution.
00:19:49.440 Constitution, Constitution, okay, U.S. Constitution, boom.
00:19:55.280 Find me the right to privacy.
00:19:58.060 Where, do you have your Constitution pulled up?
00:19:59.500 Maybe you're driving.
00:20:00.380 Don't, don't, don't pull over.
00:20:02.080 You don't, you can look it up later.
00:20:03.680 Where is the right to privacy in the Constitution?
00:20:06.060 I feel as though I'm, I'm sitting in a room with Joe Biden.
00:20:09.560 Biden, it's a padded room.
00:20:10.920 I'm a doctor with a clipboard.
00:20:12.240 Joe Biden is there wearing, wearing some kind of restraint or harness.
00:20:16.540 I say, okay, Mr. President, this right to privacy that you're talking about is, um, is that right
00:20:22.240 to privacy in the room with us now?
00:20:24.440 There is no such thing as a general right to privacy in the Constitution.
00:20:29.720 This was something completely made up by the libs.
00:20:32.960 They, they said that it could be found maybe between the emanations and the penumbras and
00:20:37.980 invisible ink somewhere and one of the amendments in any way, nevermind, that's going to be the
00:20:42.140 law now.
00:20:42.900 And it never made sense.
00:20:44.500 And it, it really weakened our judiciary and our, our system of government and the rule of
00:20:50.320 law in the United States.
00:20:51.300 And now it's falling apart.
00:20:52.720 And they did it because they thought the ends justified the means and they wanted a shortcut
00:20:57.140 to contraception and a shortcut to the sexual revolution and a shortcut to killing babies.
00:21:02.660 And so they, they did that, but it was always ridiculous.
00:21:05.020 It was a house of cards.
00:21:06.260 Now it's falling apart.
00:21:08.360 And now the whole thing is falling apart.
00:21:13.640 And so they're all devouring their own.
00:21:16.760 Speaking of devouring their own, I saw one of the most disturbing stories I've ever seen
00:21:20.060 in the New York Times.
00:21:20.920 The headline of it, this came out just yesterday and I know a few days ago, who will help care
00:21:28.080 for Texas's post row babies?
00:21:32.020 And the libs keep doing this.
00:21:33.340 You see it, you see it, uh, in, in a lot of their posts, it's, uh, women, sometimes pregnant
00:21:40.940 women holding up little babies and, and you'll say, oh, there's a cute little newborn baby
00:21:46.600 right there.
00:21:47.240 And, and, and the New York Times is asking this question.
00:21:49.800 Hey, now that Roe v. Wade has been overruled, what are we going to do if we can't kill these
00:21:56.660 cute little babies?
00:21:57.920 And I, the Washington Post ran a story like this of a, of a young woman caring for her
00:22:03.020 twin babies who were not killed because Roe v. Wade was overruled because pro-life laws
00:22:07.520 have gone into place in the States.
00:22:09.300 And they said, hey, what are we going to do now?
00:22:11.320 And I have to think, is there some editor here who's pro-life?
00:22:14.760 Is there some writer, secret cabal of writers who are pro-life here?
00:22:19.900 Because it's, if you read the words, it sounds like they're writing pro-abortion articles,
00:22:24.080 but you look at the pictures, you look at the whole subject of the story, you say, hold on,
00:22:27.840 are you, are you seriously advocating killing the cute little babies, devouring your own
00:22:34.300 literal children that you, that you put in these pictures?
00:22:38.280 Is that, is that how mad your ideology has made you?
00:22:42.820 You know, here at the Daily Wire, we are celebrating the start of Daily Wire Plus.
00:22:47.680 What is Daily Wire Plus?
00:22:49.100 Pretty much everything you love from the Daily Wire.
00:22:51.660 You get me.
00:22:52.820 Frankly, I would say that is enough.
00:22:54.420 But no, you get more.
00:22:56.060 You get Matt, you get Ben, you get Drew, you get Candace, plus a lot more than that.
00:23:02.240 We are talking the entirety of Jordan Peterson's existing archive, podcast, new shows, and bonus
00:23:07.340 content, plus a new series from PragerU out in the fall, plus fearless documentaries and
00:23:12.660 movies such as What is a Woman and Terror on the Prairie, plus animated kids shows of That
00:23:17.480 Awoke Agenda coming soon.
00:23:18.560 We're very excited about Jordan's new four-part series, Dragons, Monsters, and Men, streaming
00:23:24.220 right now exclusively on Daily Wire Plus.
00:23:26.900 In Dragons, Monsters, and Men, Jordan explores what it really means to be a man and explains
00:23:31.200 how to slay the dragons in your life and truly excel.
00:23:34.780 Here's a look.
00:23:36.680 One of the things I tell young men, well, and young women as well, but the young men really
00:23:40.940 need to hear this more, I think.
00:23:42.700 You should be a monster, an absolute monster, and then you should learn how to control it.
00:23:46.940 So a man who's capable of aggression, but has it under control, is a way more useful
00:23:53.860 man than one who cannot do that.
00:23:56.480 And so you're willing to go get a job, but you're terrified of an interview.
00:23:59.560 It's like, there's a dragon for you.
00:24:01.320 Because you want to fight the dragons that guard the gates of the treasure that you wish
00:24:05.540 to attain.
00:24:06.020 The productivity requires aim, orientation, responsibility, discipline, that willingness
00:24:15.780 to work, that willingness to make sacrifices, which is the hallmark of maturity in the service
00:24:20.740 of a higher goal.
00:24:22.360 It orients you solidly in the world if you do that, and it gives you a dragon to fight.
00:24:30.340 What do you want to grow up?
00:24:31.380 You want to be illiterate?
00:24:32.120 You want to be inarticulate?
00:24:35.120 You're going to have to negotiate.
00:24:37.420 You're going to have to lead.
00:24:38.520 You're going to have to convince.
00:24:40.080 You're going to have to think to say to an 18-year-old, you're okay the way you are.
00:24:46.120 That just deflates them.
00:24:49.960 You know, when you go to the gym and you start lifting weights, well, your body's going to
00:24:53.480 transform, but it's not going to do that if you just sit around.
00:24:56.160 You have to face your being with the necessity of transformation, and then all sorts of new
00:25:01.520 things that you had no idea you were capable of will make themselves manifest.
00:25:05.980 Those are the dragons, you know, the ones that stand in the path that leads to the light.
00:25:11.200 And you have to say to yourself, I will do good nonetheless.
00:25:18.500 Everyone great makes that decision.
00:25:22.300 Make that decision, because maybe you're great.
00:25:25.040 Not only can you get Jordan Peterson on Daily Wire Plus, but sometimes on All Access, you
00:25:40.540 can get me doing my Jordan Peterson impression, okay?
00:25:43.480 So there's a whole lot there.

00:25:55.320 We'll be right back with a lot more.
00:26:09.180 New York Times reports with pictures of cute little babies down in Texas.
00:26:13.160 Two days after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, a 27-year-old woman, T, delivered
00:26:20.220 her fourth child, Kaysen.
00:26:22.240 Born after his mother fled domestic abuse and was denied an abortion, he is among the first
00:26:28.800 of many post-Roe babies expected in Texas.
00:26:33.620 So the claim of the article is that they don't know what to do with these babies.
00:26:38.440 Even some anti-abortion adherents say Texas is failing families left impoverished by its
00:26:42.980 war against abortion.
00:26:43.920 So we don't know what to do.
00:26:44.660 We can't possibly handle the babies.
00:26:46.140 The claim is not true.
00:26:48.740 There are, well, when you look at adoption, for instance, there are an estimated 36 couples
00:26:54.660 for every one newborn baby put up for adoption in the United States.
00:26:59.040 36 couples looking to adopt that baby.
00:27:01.060 There is no shortage of couples looking to adopt newborn babies.
00:27:05.240 Now, when we're talking about adoption for older children who have been taken out of abusive
00:27:09.100 and neglectful homes and put into the foster care system, that's a different story.
00:27:13.560 And it's a different situation.
00:27:15.060 And you can talk all day about the foster care system.
00:27:16.880 But when we're talking about newborn babies, which is what is at issue in Roe v. Wade, there
00:27:21.280 is no shortage of parents willing to adopt.
00:27:23.780 There are lots of crisis pregnancy centers.
00:27:26.080 The libs right now are actually attacking and burning down those crisis pregnancy centers.
00:27:30.480 But there are still lots of them.
00:27:32.540 And conservatives support them.
00:27:33.820 And so the whole premise here, that there's no support system for newborn babies, that's
00:27:38.440 completely made up.
00:27:40.840 But let's say it were true.
00:27:42.600 Let's say, let's just go with it and say for the sake of argument that it were true.
00:27:46.760 Is the New York Times really telling us right now that it would be better to kill that cute
00:27:50.460 little baby, Kacen?
00:27:51.940 She was denied an abortion.
00:27:53.280 She was denied, very sadly, denied the right to kill that cute little baby, Kacen.
00:27:56.760 Oh, it's awful.
00:27:57.980 Now there's this new baby born and he's probably poor.
00:28:00.560 And we're going to have more poor babies?
00:28:02.080 Isn't that the worst?
00:28:04.060 So terrible and oppressive.
00:28:06.520 The pro-abortion movement had one real political advantage for 50 years, which is that you couldn't
00:28:12.200 see the victims.
00:28:13.760 The victims were the most vulnerable people that exist.
00:28:16.680 They were very small.
00:28:17.560 They don't have a voice.
00:28:18.280 They can't speak.
00:28:18.960 You can't even see them most of the time.
00:28:21.300 And so the pro-abortion movement really benefited from that.
00:28:23.700 The pro-life movement then benefited from the advent of sonograms and much more sophisticated
00:28:28.540 sonogram technology.
00:28:29.760 Now the libs are giving away the game entirely.
00:28:32.360 They're showing us a picture of the newborn baby.
00:28:34.620 What are they saying?
00:28:35.080 It'd be better to kill this baby.
00:28:37.380 A friend of mine had a kind of unconventional pro-life argument, but it's one that seems
00:28:43.020 extremely timely now, now that the pro-abortion side is actually showing us pictures of the
00:28:50.700 babies that they would have killed.
00:28:52.600 The argument went something like this.
00:28:54.180 If you're talking to someone who's pro-abortion, you say, hey, you think it's totally fine to
00:28:59.920 kill the baby in the womb, the embryo, the fetus, the not, not a baby.
00:29:03.780 You don't want to call it a baby.
00:29:04.820 Okay.
00:29:05.280 The embryo.
00:29:06.160 You think it's totally fine to kill the embryo?
00:29:08.760 Yes, they would say.
00:29:09.700 Okay.
00:29:10.560 Okay.
00:29:10.920 Well, then would it be totally fine if I just went in there and we didn't kill the
00:29:15.400 embryo, we just kind of poked into its brains and kind of jiggled its brains around, but
00:29:20.260 didn't kill it.
00:29:20.940 The embryo would still grow and be born and grow up, but would just be severely, severely
00:29:26.400 mentally handicapped because you went in and scrambled up its brains.
00:29:29.280 People would look at you in horror.
00:29:31.980 They'd say, oh my gosh, no, absolutely not.
00:29:34.340 That would be a terrible thing to do.
00:29:36.100 Why would it be a terrible thing to do?
00:29:38.160 Well, because you're going to leave the baby, you're going to leave the person severely
00:29:42.020 mentally retarded.
00:29:42.840 No, no.
00:29:43.020 You just told me it's not a person.
00:29:44.320 You just told me it's not a baby.
00:29:45.540 It's just a little embryo.
00:29:46.440 So who cares?
00:29:47.600 I'm just going to go in and scramble up its little brains.
00:29:49.200 What's the problem?
00:29:50.420 Well, no, that.
00:29:51.940 So hold on.
00:29:52.360 You're telling me, you're telling me that it would be wrong to go give the embryo fetus
00:29:59.320 baby a disability.
00:30:01.960 Now, it would be wrong to do that, but it would not be wrong to kill him.
00:30:07.520 Does that make any sense to you?
00:30:09.220 No.
00:30:10.160 Of course it doesn't.
00:30:12.780 Because no matter how much they want to deny it, everybody knows deep down that that thing,
00:30:19.420 that embryo, that fetus, that zygote, that's when a baby is just one cell, which happens
00:30:27.600 for a very, very brief period of time, whatever word you want to call it, we all know that
00:30:32.700 that's a person.
00:30:34.140 We were all that thing at one point, and we know that it's wrong to kill that person.
00:30:39.720 And I think even the New York Times readers, they look at this article, they see that little
00:30:43.980 baby, and you're really going to tell me, they're going to say, ah, would that the
00:30:49.400 little baby, that poor black baby from rural Texas, ah, we don't need any more of them,
00:30:56.560 do we?
00:30:57.220 Would that that baby were killed.
00:30:58.760 Are you telling me that anyone with even a hint of a conscience would say that?
00:31:05.340 Isn't that an ugly thing to say?
00:31:06.680 I think it's kind of ugly.
00:31:07.860 I don't think that that political movement is very attractive.
00:31:13.160 We know it's not very attractive.
00:31:14.340 We know it's shedding supporters right now.
00:31:16.200 We know that people are moving over in droves to something else.
00:31:21.940 The Republican Party is picking up a lot of people, but more than that, the Democrats
00:31:25.420 are losing a lot of people.
00:31:27.820 Their support right now is extremely depressed.
00:31:32.640 So then what do they do, especially on this issue?
00:31:34.500 Because abortion is so in the news with the overruling of Roe v. Wade, the Democrats have
00:31:39.380 to distract on abortion.
00:31:41.900 And so they say, no, this isn't really about killing your babies.
00:31:44.320 This isn't about abortion.
00:31:45.500 This is just about, gosh, women surviving miscarriage.
00:31:49.120 This is an actual story.
00:31:50.240 It's been going viral on the internet.
00:31:52.900 Halsey, Halsey, who is a singer, I guess, has an essay in Vogue in which she says that
00:32:03.160 she almost died.
00:32:06.460 And the only thing that saved her life was an abortion because she had multiple miscarriages.
00:32:11.740 And you see the problem with that.
00:32:14.320 The sentence doesn't even mean anything.
00:32:19.340 I would have died from my miscarriage if I hadn't had an abortion.
00:32:24.740 There's a little bit of confusion here because in the olden days, before abortion became a
00:32:29.660 political movement, before killing babies intentionally became a political movement,
00:32:33.100 the term for a miscarriage was spontaneous abortion.
00:32:35.700 The pregnancy was aborted.
00:32:37.300 But those two things are very, very different.
00:32:42.060 A miscarriage is when naturally the baby dies in his mother's womb.
00:32:45.860 A procured abortion is when people go in and intentionally kill the baby.
00:32:50.900 You cannot procure an abortion for a miscarriage.
00:32:54.960 It's just, it's not, it's not logically possible because a miscarriage by definition is a baby
00:33:02.080 that has already died in the womb.
00:33:04.060 And so you can't abort that baby.
00:33:05.940 You can only abort a living baby.
00:33:08.420 But they have to blur the lines here.
00:33:10.260 So no, none of the laws, none of these pro-life laws will prevent women from having a miscarriage
00:33:17.580 or treating a miscarriage or anything like that.
00:33:20.700 They will only prevent you from intentionally killing your baby.
00:33:23.060 But they've got to blur the lines.
00:33:24.280 This is why in the Dobbs decision, in the liberal dissent,
00:33:28.320 the liberal justices didn't talk very much about Roe v. Wade or Planned Parenthood v. Casey or abortion.
00:33:33.020 They talked about gay marriage.
00:33:34.260 They talked about contraception.
00:33:35.580 They talked about homosexual sodomy in Lawrence v. Texas.
00:33:37.980 They talked about all sorts of other, almost entirely unrelated issues
00:33:42.840 because they know that this issue here is so extremely off-putting.
00:33:47.380 They know that when people see the reality of it, they hate it unless they're psychos.
00:33:51.700 They knew that they had to talk about something else.
00:33:55.140 The momentum is entirely with the conservatives right now.
00:33:58.820 That isn't always the case.
00:34:00.180 It's actually fairly rarely the case.
00:34:02.080 But now we have the momentum.
00:34:04.000 The libs are eating their own.
00:34:05.360 They're all fighting with each other.
00:34:06.480 They're on the streets of Portland screaming and yelling and trying to outwoke each other
00:34:09.560 and cast each other into outer darkness.
00:34:11.460 The conservatives are growing the tent.
00:34:13.200 The conservatives are growing the coalition.
00:34:15.500 Now is the time to press forward ahead.
00:34:17.900 That's what's happening in Mississippi.
00:34:19.400 The governor of Mississippi, Tate Reeves, who's doing an excellent, excellent job down there.
00:34:23.800 Tate Reeves is building on the victory in Dobbs to outlaw abortion pills.
00:34:29.940 Now, abortion is outlawed in Mississippi right now.
00:34:33.380 So he's going to give it some teeth.
00:34:34.920 Don't forget, just because there are laws on the books, that doesn't necessarily mean that the laws are going to be enforced.
00:34:41.840 There are all sorts of laws against indecent exposure and obscenity and child endangerment and child abuse.
00:34:47.700 And yet you're seeing plenty of videos of little kids being brought to strip club drag bars and putting dollars in the G-strings of perverts.
00:34:54.940 And the laws aren't being enforced against them.
00:34:56.680 So you've got to give these kinds of laws teeth.
00:34:59.120 That's what Governor Reeves is doing down there in Mississippi.
00:35:02.880 He's saying if you are a doctor and you prescribe abortion pills, you don't get to practice anymore.
00:35:09.300 What does enforcement look like in your state?
00:35:11.820 Can a woman from Mississippi simply travel to a different state and have a procedure, or would you try to stop her?
00:35:17.460 Well, in our state, the enforcement is done by the State Board of Medical Licensure.
00:35:24.200 We have a State Board of Medical Licensure, which actually oversees the practice of medicine in our state.
00:35:29.700 And they ensure that any physician that is practicing, whether it's through telemedicine or otherwise,
00:35:35.540 that any physician that practices in our state is practicing not only based upon the standards of care that we require in our state,
00:35:42.580 but also based upon state law.
00:35:44.320 And so if a physician is attempting to practice medicine in the state of Mississippi and they're violating our law,
00:35:51.180 then our State Board of Medical Licensure will pull their license from them.
00:35:55.160 Really important.
00:35:56.280 It's important, one, so that you can enforce the pro-life laws.
00:35:59.520 But two, it's important to remind conservatives that politics is not only downstream of culture.
00:36:06.000 We've talked about this a lot.
00:36:07.680 Breitbart's line is very good in as much as it means that movies matter
00:36:11.680 and the culture matters and the way people live outside of the law
00:36:16.040 and the formal political order and the government matter.
00:36:19.020 But it's a slogan, and like all slogans, it's wrong.
00:36:22.660 Because politics affects culture as well.
00:36:26.900 Politics is a teacher.
00:36:29.540 The law is a teacher.
00:36:32.240 We know this from the Bible.
00:36:33.800 We know this from political philosophy.
00:36:35.800 We know this from practice.
00:36:37.760 Laws help shape the culture too.
00:36:41.680 If you outlaw abortion in Mississippi,
00:36:46.540 but you don't have any consequences for doctors who continue to practice abortion,
00:36:51.480 you're still going to get a lot of abortion.
00:36:54.980 If, on the other hand, you say,
00:36:57.360 hey, if you in any way participate in an abortion,
00:37:00.240 you're going to lose your medical license,
00:37:01.580 you're not going to be able to practice here,
00:37:02.860 maybe you can go to another state,
00:37:03.960 I don't know, maybe you can't.
00:37:05.060 But all that schooling,
00:37:07.300 all that money that you dumped into your career,
00:37:09.300 the way that you put food on your table and pay your bills,
00:37:11.580 yeah, that all goes away if you break this law.
00:37:15.140 Then I think you're going to see something a little bit different.
00:37:17.360 You saw this on the flip side during COVID,
00:37:19.900 and it was very unfortunate during COVID.
00:37:21.700 But during COVID, there were a lot of people
00:37:23.060 who wanted to avoid some of the vaccine mandates
00:37:27.340 because they suspected correctly
00:37:30.720 that the COVID shots were not going to do
00:37:33.680 exactly what Biden and Walensky and Fauci told us
00:37:36.300 they were going to do,
00:37:36.960 prevent transmission, prevent infection.
00:37:39.680 They were a little skeptical
00:37:40.380 that the COVID shots were 100% totally safe and effective,
00:37:45.880 no side effects, no risk whatsoever.
00:37:47.700 They were skeptical they wanted to get around it,
00:37:49.360 and they would go to doctors,
00:37:50.420 and they'd find sympathetic doctors.
00:37:51.780 And they'd go to the doctor and say,
00:37:53.980 hey, doc, I just need a card.
00:37:55.640 Shoot the shot down the sink, whatever,
00:37:57.920 just whatever you got to do.
00:37:58.760 I don't want to get this shot,
00:37:59.840 but I have to keep my job.
00:38:01.280 And even the doctors who say,
00:38:03.200 I spoke to doctors.
00:38:04.940 I spoke to pharmacists and doctors who said,
00:38:07.780 I don't think you should take this shot.
00:38:09.740 I don't think, not only young people,
00:38:11.900 I don't think most people should take this shot.
00:38:13.720 It's really, it hasn't been tested.
00:38:16.200 There are no long-term data here.
00:38:17.800 The risk from COVID is not particularly great for most people.
00:38:20.760 I really don't think you should do it.
00:38:22.240 And then you say, okay, good, give me a fake card.
00:38:23.660 And they'd say, no, can't do it.
00:38:25.300 I could lose my license.
00:38:27.200 I could lose my license, and I can't take that risk.
00:38:30.980 The law is a teacher.
00:38:32.860 Sometimes it can be a teacher for bad ends,
00:38:34.960 like you saw during COVID.
00:38:36.240 In this case, it can be a teacher for very good ends.
00:38:39.700 Regardless, the culture can, in fact,
00:38:41.860 be downstream of politics.
00:38:43.160 So great job to Governor Reeves.
00:38:45.580 Some conservatives pushing ahead.
00:38:47.300 Some conservatives totally squishing.
00:38:49.140 If you look across the pond at our limey cousins over there
00:38:52.360 in the United Kingdom,
00:38:53.860 Boris Johnson is making the argument now
00:38:56.960 that the cause of the Russian invasion of Ukraine
00:39:01.460 is toxic masculinity.
00:39:06.000 You need more women in positions of power.
00:39:09.080 If Putin was a woman,
00:39:11.840 which he obviously isn't,
00:39:13.020 but if he were,
00:39:14.620 I really don't think he would have embarked
00:39:17.300 on a crazy, macho war of invasion and violence
00:39:22.680 in the way that he has.
00:39:23.500 If you want a perfect example of toxic masculinity,
00:39:27.660 it's what he's doing in Ukraine.
00:39:31.120 Toxic.
00:39:31.720 It's toxic masculinity.
00:39:33.240 I'm Boris Johnson, the conservative.
00:39:36.080 I don't even mean to beat up that much on Boris Johnson.
00:39:38.400 He has been something of a disappointment
00:39:40.860 as a conservative PM.
00:39:42.820 I think the right-wingers were hoping
00:39:44.060 for a lot more from Boris,
00:39:45.340 and he's kind of squished on some pretty big issues.
00:39:49.080 He's even using the language of the left.
00:39:51.400 I mention it not to knock on Johnson so much
00:39:53.720 as to point out that liberalism is hegemonic.
00:39:58.400 Liberalism is the air that we breathe.
00:40:01.220 Liberalism is the environment that we all move in.
00:40:05.480 And even we conservatives, even the rock-ribbed people,
00:40:09.120 we will use the language of liberalism.
00:40:12.640 That's how powerful it is.
00:40:14.860 That's how thorough the revolution has been.
00:40:16.880 I wrote my book last year,
00:40:17.880 Speechless Controlling Roots, Controlling Minds.
00:40:19.780 It should be a number one national bestseller,
00:40:21.000 thanks to you.
00:40:21.460 Hey, we still have the bell.
00:40:22.240 That's great.
00:40:23.380 I wrote the book on this topic.
00:40:26.120 It's so much worse than just
00:40:27.760 the left uses their crazy language and then we don't.
00:40:30.840 No, we use it too.
00:40:31.920 The left has managed to, in many ways,
00:40:35.600 win the big political debates before they even have the debate
00:40:39.400 because they infect our minds with their language
00:40:41.600 and language is what constitutes our consciousness in many ways.
00:40:45.960 And so we just see the world through their lenses.
00:40:50.100 Boris Johnson, the conservative,
00:40:51.380 is seeing the world through a leftist lens of toxic masculinity.
00:40:54.880 And if only the world were run by women,
00:40:56.680 then we'd have peace and harmony.
00:40:57.860 Can you imagine?
00:40:59.080 I don't know.
00:40:59.560 What about that lady on the street in Portland?
00:41:00.800 I'm not sure she would give us peace and harmony.
00:41:02.640 I don't think the man necessarily would either.
00:41:05.760 That is the kind of revolution we are up against.
00:41:09.160 And you are seeing, like revolutions that are totalizing,
00:41:11.640 you are seeing the real overstepping,
00:41:15.320 the devouring of their own children happening right now.
00:41:17.760 This is an opportunity.
00:41:18.760 You've got to take this opportunity.
00:41:20.120 You've got politics, like comedy, is about timing.
00:41:23.540 Okay, you've got to know your timing.
00:41:24.960 We're at a real moment of opportunity right now.
00:41:28.240 We have to take it.
00:41:31.800 Speaking of killers, we're talking about Vladimir Putin.
00:41:34.060 Speaking of killers closer to home,
00:41:36.940 the Highland Park killer,
00:41:39.680 we're now learning a little bit more about him.
00:41:43.460 We don't say his name.
00:41:44.740 We don't say the names of these mass killers on the network
00:41:46.880 because we don't want to give them notoriety.
00:41:49.040 People are all quibbling over,
00:41:50.380 is he a right winger or a left winger?
00:41:51.880 I've gone down the rabbit hole looking at arguments for both.
00:41:55.800 It seems to me he probably wasn't particularly partisan or political at all.
00:42:00.460 He showed up to Trump rallies, but some people said it was ironic.
00:42:04.580 And then he posted lots of anti-conservative things on social media.
00:42:09.400 But then he also wore the Pepe the Frog symbol.
00:42:12.680 And he didn't.
00:42:13.200 And it just, for the vast majority of killers in history,
00:42:17.540 they don't have a, at least of these kind of mass serial killer,
00:42:22.460 you know, mass shooting types in America,
00:42:24.400 they don't have a strong political agenda.
00:42:27.220 They're just wackos.
00:42:28.840 Sometimes people can just be wackos, okay?
00:42:31.260 Sometimes people can just be lunatics.
00:42:33.340 And I think that's the case here with this kid.
00:42:36.300 He doesn't, he certainly doesn't look like a conservative.
00:42:38.340 He looks much more like a leftist,
00:42:39.780 but he doesn't even seem to have that much strong of a leftist political argument.
00:42:43.400 Well, now what we know about him is,
00:42:46.120 in 2019, the police were told that this shooter had vowed to kill everyone.
00:42:54.200 He had tried to kill himself.
00:42:56.380 Then he said he was going to kill everyone.
00:42:58.100 And the cops took a bunch of weapons away from him,
00:43:00.660 but didn't arrest him and didn't really do very much.
00:43:03.880 And everyone knew this kid was a ticking time bomb.
00:43:06.700 And he just looked like a nut.
00:43:08.060 And he was posting all sorts of crazy, scary stuff on social media.
00:43:11.140 And nobody did anything about it.
00:43:13.880 There's going to be a lot of finger pointing everywhere.
00:43:16.060 And it should have been the parents.
00:43:16.920 And it should have been the cops.
00:43:17.920 It should have been the school.
00:43:18.820 And it should have been this.
00:43:19.560 And it should have been that.
00:43:21.840 I do think there is something we could do
00:43:24.260 that would reduce the likelihood of these wackos
00:43:27.400 with lots and lots of warning signs popping off and killing people.
00:43:31.220 And I think the thing we need to do is re-stigmatize craziness.
00:43:36.280 We all talk these days about how we need to reduce stigmas,
00:43:39.960 especially around mental health.
00:43:40.900 We need to reduce the stigma around mental health.
00:43:44.920 And we need to take away shame and feelings of guilt.
00:43:48.920 And we just need to normalize everything, okay?
00:43:51.160 And if you have some bizarre fantasies or delusions,
00:43:55.460 we need to make it all seem normal.
00:43:59.440 No, we don't.
00:44:00.840 We really shouldn't.
00:44:01.740 The only way in which we should de-stigmatize mental health problems
00:44:07.300 is such that people go seek treatment.
00:44:11.240 Otherwise, we need to re-stigmatize it.
00:44:13.160 It is not good to be crazy.
00:44:14.900 Craziness these days confers a kind of social currency.
00:44:18.480 If you can claim to have some sort of mental illness,
00:44:20.960 you can claim a sort of privilege
00:44:23.040 in the intersectional hierarchy of society.
00:44:25.560 And this is especially true when it comes to sexual dysphoria.
00:44:28.260 This is especially true if you say,
00:44:30.120 look, I'm a man, but I think that I'm a woman.
00:44:32.420 That gives you a great deal of privilege in our society.
00:44:35.260 It shouldn't.
00:44:36.280 If you're a man and you think that you're a woman
00:44:38.000 and you're not just taking part in a social mania,
00:44:40.220 but you actually have some psychological condition,
00:44:42.360 you should go seek help for that.
00:44:44.260 And the doctor should not affirm you in your delusion.
00:44:47.100 The doctor should tell you about reality
00:44:49.680 and convince you, actually, no, you're a man.
00:44:51.920 You're not really a woman.
00:44:53.340 You're a man.
00:44:53.920 And if you have such psychiatric problems
00:44:56.660 that you are a danger to yourself or to society,
00:44:59.560 you should be locked up.
00:45:00.740 We closed the mental asylums in the United States.
00:45:03.220 We wanted to de-stigmatize mental health problems.
00:45:05.820 That hasn't turned out very well.
00:45:08.260 Just look around the streets of San Francisco
00:45:10.260 or New York or DC.
00:45:11.720 I'm not just talking about the drug addicts
00:45:13.220 and the criminals.
00:45:13.780 I'm talking about the crazy people.
00:45:15.700 There are lots of crazy people living on the streets.
00:45:17.800 And we all pretend that it's really compassionate
00:45:19.940 to let crazy people live in squalor
00:45:22.040 and filth and danger on the streets
00:45:23.560 and then die of exposure during the winter.
00:45:25.360 It's not compassionate at all.
00:45:27.620 We need to make it much, much more stigmatized
00:45:31.600 to be crazy so that people can go seek treatment
00:45:35.180 and live better lives.
00:45:36.560 Part of the reason for this,
00:45:38.080 part of the reason we closed down the asylums
00:45:39.660 and part of the reason that people tolerate
00:45:41.500 this kind of stuff today,
00:45:42.640 letting the crazy people continue to be a danger
00:45:45.200 to themselves and to society
00:45:46.400 is because of a peculiar ideology
00:45:49.820 that affects both the left and the right,
00:45:51.680 which is the ideology of individualism.
00:45:53.880 We don't want to tell anybody what to do.
00:45:57.500 Well, who am I to say?
00:45:58.940 Who am I even to say that you're crazy?
00:46:01.360 Maybe the man who thinks that he's a woman,
00:46:03.220 maybe he is the sane one.
00:46:04.400 Maybe I'm the crazy one for thinking that I'm a man.
00:46:06.820 Maybe the person who hears voices in his heads,
00:46:08.840 maybe he's the sane one.
00:46:09.740 I don't know.
00:46:10.700 Who's to say?
00:46:12.040 How do I, I don't want to impose my views
00:46:14.540 of culture or politics or religion
00:46:17.600 or psychology or human nature onto anybody else.
00:46:22.940 But of course we have to.
00:46:24.220 That's what society is.
00:46:25.800 Society is coming together
00:46:27.740 and agreeing on some basic things
00:46:30.600 and living together.
00:46:32.480 That's what laws are.
00:46:34.080 And the law is a teacher.
00:46:35.180 And the law will not just be a product
00:46:38.360 of how people are living,
00:46:40.080 but the law will shape how people live as well.
00:46:44.460 We've known this going all the way back
00:46:46.160 to those old ancient Greeks, okay?
00:46:47.880 And we need to do that here as well.
00:46:51.140 Because if we continue to let people languish
00:46:54.840 and spiral and go into their own craziness
00:46:59.040 and their own delusions,
00:47:00.180 that will cause a great deal of harm
00:47:01.920 for them and for everybody else.
00:47:03.660 You want to talk about craziness?
00:47:04.640 I have to get to this story.
00:47:07.260 Jordan Peterson, my new colleague,
00:47:09.680 Jordan Peterson and Dave Rubin
00:47:11.140 have been booted off of Twitter
00:47:13.760 for saying that a woman is a woman.
00:47:21.080 Jordan set this all off.
00:47:23.200 He tweeted out,
00:47:24.100 remember when pride was a sin
00:47:25.720 and Ellen Page just had her breasts removed
00:47:28.680 by a criminal physician.
00:47:30.500 So he tweeted that and he got booted
00:47:32.020 because he said Ellen Page.
00:47:33.260 And even though that's the actress's name,
00:47:35.620 you're not allowed to say her name anymore
00:47:37.060 because she says that she's Elliot now.
00:47:39.460 And she says that she's not a she and she's a he.
00:47:42.300 But of course she is actually a she
00:47:43.740 and she's not Elliot either.
00:47:46.040 Some conservatives try to split the baby on this issue
00:47:48.000 and they say, look, I won't use the crazy pronouns,
00:47:50.400 but I will call her by whatever name she wants
00:47:53.120 because you can legally change your name
00:47:55.200 and so I'll call you whatever you want.
00:47:57.820 No, I don't think so.
00:47:59.460 I think that's a little too clever by half.
00:48:01.180 Elliot is a boy name.
00:48:03.160 Ellen is a girl name.
00:48:04.640 Ellen is a girl and Ellen is Ellen.
00:48:06.580 So that's the point that Jordan made
00:48:09.000 and Jordan got booted from Twitter for it
00:48:10.400 for dead naming,
00:48:12.160 meaning calling her by her correct name
00:48:13.820 and using the right pronouns.
00:48:15.240 Then Dave just tweeted out a picture of it.
00:48:17.160 He said, the insanity continues at Twitter.
00:48:19.980 Jordan was just suspended for this tweet about Ellen Page.
00:48:23.200 And then Dave was kicked off Twitter
00:48:25.380 for posting the tweet by Jordan.
00:48:29.720 This rule on Twitter is effectively a banning
00:48:33.200 of disagreement with transgenderism.
00:48:36.440 If you are not allowed to call the girl by the girl's name,
00:48:39.060 if you are forced to call the girl by the boy's name,
00:48:41.120 and if you are not allowed to call the girl
00:48:42.400 she or her, girl pronouns,
00:48:45.180 and you have to call the girl he or him, boy pronouns,
00:48:48.720 then Twitter has effectively banned opposition
00:48:51.020 to transgenderism.
00:48:52.400 And Twitter is a major part of our public square.
00:48:54.840 So Twitter acting as a sort of enforcement arm
00:48:58.840 of the liberal government has said,
00:49:02.200 you are not allowed to disagree
00:49:03.240 with transgenderism in public.
00:49:05.700 It is not enough just to lift these bans.
00:49:07.960 It is not enough.
00:49:09.000 If we ever get power again in these institutions,
00:49:11.220 if Elon buys Twitter or something,
00:49:12.760 it is not enough just to lift the bans.
00:49:14.840 We have to punish the people who do this.
00:49:16.620 They are perverting our political order.
00:49:19.240 They are acting in a way that is extremely unjust
00:49:21.540 and harmful to the country, very destructive.
00:49:24.380 We need to punish the censors
00:49:25.760 for doing this sort of thing.
00:49:27.700 We need to fire them.
00:49:28.600 Ideally, we would ostracize them.
00:49:30.320 Okay, we need to stop this.
00:49:33.060 It's very, very destructive.
00:49:35.200 The people are on our side on this issue.
00:49:37.340 Bette Midler is on our side on this issue.
00:49:38.920 Macy Gray is on our side on this issue.
00:49:40.660 Not exactly rock-ribbed conservatives.
00:49:42.440 We have the wind at our sails.
00:49:44.940 Stand up, say the truth, stop squishing,
00:49:48.660 push forward ahead.
00:49:50.600 Timing is almost everything here.
00:49:53.460 And we've got a narrow window
00:49:55.320 where we can get some serious victories.
00:49:57.700 Push ahead.

00:50:56.340 surrounding the latest mass shooter.
00:50:57.900 Joe Biden's approval rating continues to tank,
00:50:59.700 and Dave Rubin is suspended from Twitter
00:51:01.200 for noticing that Jordan Peterson
00:51:02.260 was suspended from Twitter.
00:51:03.880 So it's Twitter ban infinite regress time.
00:51:06.100 That's today on The Ben Shapiro Show.
