00:00:27.040 That's C-A-M-H dot C-A slash support men.
00:00:30.780 We've now reached the stage in Democrats' midterm election desperation,
00:00:35.580 where they've given up on touting their achievements, of which there are none.
00:00:39.640 And they've even given up smearing the Republicans,
00:00:42.560 which they've tried since the beginning of October to basically no effect.
00:00:47.780 And we're now in the phase where they're just straight up lying
00:00:51.720 about basic facts about the very recent past.
00:00:57.040 The most common price of gas in America is $3.39,
00:01:02.420 down from over $5 when I took office.
00:01:06.720 None of that is true.
00:01:08.740 First of all, I'm not even sure what Biden means by the most common price of gas.
00:01:15.040 Does he mean the mode, as in mean, median, and mode, like you learned in middle school?
00:01:19.920 If he does, that is a completely meaningless number,
00:01:22.980 even if it were correct, which I doubt that it is.
00:01:25.520 The average price of gas, which he may have been trying to say,
00:01:29.820 and which is the actual measure that we use to track gas prices,
00:01:33.480 that is a lot higher than he said yesterday.
00:01:38.940 I mean, not a lot, not like $10 higher, but it's high, it's significantly higher.
00:01:42.040 It's $3.76.
00:01:43.780 And then the price of gas when Biden took office was not over $5.
00:01:48.960 It was actually $2.39, meaning gas prices have not dropped at least 32% since Biden's been in office.
00:01:56.840 They've actually jumped more than 57%, not even close on any of those numbers.
00:02:03.080 But Joe knows that.
00:02:05.300 If his price numbers were correct, his poll numbers would be much higher.
00:02:10.040 But the Democrats' poll numbers are low and dropping faster and faster by the minute
00:02:15.500 as we're now 11 days out from Election Day.
00:02:18.680 I'm Michael Knowles.
00:02:19.400 This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:02:20.260 Welcome back to the show.
00:02:30.220 My favorite comment yesterday from Mac, who says,
00:02:35.060 it is true that it's dangerous to let your children go back to public school,
00:02:39.380 just not for the reasons they say.
00:02:41.560 Well, that's true.
00:02:42.260 I've said since the beginning,
00:02:43.840 while there would be a lot of negative consequences to the kids being shut out of public school,
00:02:47.720 it was actually probably one of the silver linings of the storm cloud of COVID.
00:02:53.140 Yes, your kid isn't learning arithmetic.
00:02:55.180 Your kid probably wasn't learning arithmetic in school anyway,
00:02:58.060 but at least now your kid isn't being taught that he's actually a little girl.
00:03:01.560 At least now he's not being taught genderqueer by Maya Kababi.
00:03:04.500 So there's always a silver lining, okay?
00:03:06.360 The glass can, in fact, be half full.
00:03:09.120 When we want to get the truth out there, we've got to speak to one another.
00:03:12.300 When you want to talk to your friends and family, you got to check out Pure Talk.
00:03:15.700 Right now, head on over to puretalk.com, enter code Knowles.
00:03:19.920 With midterms coming up, here is something you should keep in mind.
00:03:23.480 Every dollar you spend is a boat, and you're casting those votes over and over again
00:03:29.120 for companies that are working hard to undermine your values.
00:03:32.520 For instance, Verizon Wireless customers,
00:03:35.040 you're supporting a company that canceled One America News for its support of President Trump.
00:03:40.280 AT&T, your wireless customer, your wireless customer.
00:03:44.080 AT&T customers, your wireless provider does not just support far left CNN, it owns it.
00:03:49.800 T-Mobile customers, your CEO openly advised Democrats on how to beat Trump in the 2020 election.
00:03:56.000 Do not give your money to woke wireless companies, give it to Pure Talk instead.
00:03:59.920 Pure Talk not only believes in conservative American family values,
00:04:03.300 but it also gives you the best service at a low cost.
00:04:06.640 Unlimited talk, text, and plenty of data for just $30 a month.
00:04:10.320 The average family saves almost $1,000 per year.
00:04:13.280 That is 1,000 fewer votes for those cell phone companies that want to stop you from speaking freely.
00:04:18.880 I am a Pure Talk customer.
00:04:19.920 I absolutely love it.
00:04:20.860 Here's what I like.
00:04:21.480 Same network, same coverage, same phone.
00:04:23.480 Lower bill and 30 days risk-free.
00:04:26.260 Right now is your chance to show corporate America that you are done funding their left-wing ideology.
00:04:31.880 Go to puretalk.com and enter code NOLS to save 50% off your first month.
00:04:36.640 That's puretalk.com, promo code NOLS for 50% off your first month.
00:04:40.420 It's about to become a lot more difficult for the Democrats to lie.
00:04:45.180 And this, of course, would be because the way that the Democrats project their lies and censor the truth from getting out
00:04:55.260 is through social media, which is the new public square and has been controlled entirely by the libs.
00:05:02.800 Until now, Mr. Musk, Mr. Elon Musk, walks into Twitter headquarters carrying the sink.
00:05:11.040 And we're all waiting.
00:05:11.860 What's going to happen?
00:05:12.560 Is he going to do anything?
00:05:13.480 Is there going to be a big change?
00:05:14.380 Well, now we've seen the first big change, Elon Musk decapitating the leadership of Twitter.
00:05:21.200 Hours after becoming the owner of Twitter, Elon Musk just destroyed four of the company's executives with facts, logic, and pink slips.
00:05:33.220 This would include the CEO of Twitter.
00:05:37.160 And more importantly, this would include Vijaya Gaddy.
00:05:40.680 I don't know if I'm pronouncing that correctly, but Vijaya Gaddy was Twitter's, at the time, top legal and policy executive when she led the team that banned Donald Trump.
00:05:52.440 Which is, I don't think it's, I don't think it's, I don't think it can be overstated how significant this event was.
00:05:58.640 This was a moment when woke oligarchs in Silicon Valley that have basically no accountability to the American electorate came in and decided to kick the duly elected sitting president of the United States out of the public square.
00:06:13.980 This is one of the most brazen power grabs in the history of the United States.
00:06:19.500 You might even call it a fundamental reordering of the American political order.
00:06:25.080 And it was because this chick, Vijaya Gaddy, at Twitter decided to do it.
00:06:31.080 And after that, you saw Facebook follow suit and Google follow suit.
00:06:33.940 So she's gone.
00:06:35.540 She's gone.
00:06:36.260 Really, really good news.
00:06:38.700 The execs are going to get some payouts.
00:06:40.960 And this includes Parag Agrawal, the CEO, the CFO, Ned Siegel, General Counsel, Sean Edgett.
00:06:48.720 They're going to make 88 million bucks out of it.
00:06:50.920 But again, a small price to pay, especially if you're Elon Musk, to get rid of these people.
00:06:57.040 Really, really good stuff.
00:06:58.240 I've said the whole time, I don't know how the Elon Musk tenure at Twitter is going to go.
00:07:02.620 I'm pretty hopeful.
00:07:04.660 The guy is clearly not a leftist.
00:07:07.680 He's not a hardcore leftist, at least.
00:07:09.400 Is he a conservative?
00:07:10.480 That I'm not, I just don't know.
00:07:12.200 I don't know the man, and he's an eccentric public figure.
00:07:15.880 But I said, I'll wait and see.
00:07:18.680 All right, from what we are seeing, things are moving very much in the right direction.
00:07:24.460 The one thing that Elon could do that I sort of hope he doesn't do, I hope he doesn't ban pseudonymous accounts.
00:07:32.860 He has said before that he might ban pseudonymous accounts, the idea that people really ought to stand behind their words.
00:07:40.840 And I think there's a lot to that.
00:07:42.260 But one of the issues, if you want to restore anything resembling the tradition of free speech in America, you need to recognize that it's not just about overt censorship, but it's about this, well, the cancel culture.
00:07:56.540 It's about this perverse sort of system of standards that we have today where you, it's not just that you'll lose your social media account if you say true things that are politically incorrect, but you could face professional consequences.
00:08:10.160 You could face consequences in your school.
00:08:12.600 You could be ostracized.
00:08:14.420 You could be investigated by the federal government for that matter.
00:08:17.320 And so with a current free speech regime throughout the country that is so perverse, that is so hostile to the true things and to good things and to the moral order, pseudonymous accounts are actually one way to free up speech a little bit.
00:08:36.020 The fact that probably my favorite accounts on Twitter are not accounts with people's real pictures and real names attached to them.
00:08:45.060 Well, part of that is because those accounts don't need to worry about being fired, about being investigated, about being kicked out of school, so they can say things that are true and funny and good.
00:08:56.500 And so I hope Elon, as he purges the bots, as he lifts the insane woke rules on speech, as he fires the people who were enforcing this leftist censorship policy,
00:09:07.000 I hope he doesn't go a little bit too far or blast away with a shotgun that takes out some good things too.
00:09:17.360 The pseudonymous counts, I think, need to stay.
00:09:19.780 I'm very pro-suit.
00:09:21.080 Anyway, all of this is very good news for conservatives, and then we're matching that with really, really good news on the political front heading into the midterm elections.
00:09:30.780 The polls right now are looking good.
00:09:33.860 The generic ballot that was just released by USA Today, not a right-wing outlet, a center-to-center-left outlet, shows Republicans up four points over Democrats.
00:09:45.820 That's 49 to 45.
00:09:49.360 Huge change.
00:09:50.600 USA Today, previously in July, said Democrats were leading the Republicans 44 to 40.
00:09:58.060 So that's just a complete flip.
00:10:02.060 Previously, the Democrats were up by four.
00:10:04.420 Now the Republicans are up by four.
00:10:05.880 So that's a delta of eight.
00:10:07.840 And it's even better than that.
00:10:09.960 There is one analyst, the Mason-Dixon Polling Managing Director, Brad Coker, just told Daily Wire that he thinks actually the polling averages are underestimating Republican support by about five percentage points.
00:10:26.400 So he says, I think the GOP will end up with 54 Senate seats.
00:10:31.300 I don't track House races district by district, but I generally think the Republican Party will net a gain of somewhere between 25 and 35 seats.
00:10:39.520 I saw my friend Ted Cruz the other night.
00:10:42.200 We had a dinner that extended late into the night.
00:10:45.180 And one of the big questions we were all debating at this dinner, what's the number of Republican Senate seats that we're going to get?
00:10:53.520 And I tell you, I've been having these debates and conversations with Senator Cruz, actually, and with other people as well for six months now.
00:11:02.100 And six months ago, people were saying, I don't know, maybe we'll get 51 seats, maybe 52 seats.
00:11:09.640 For a while, people were saying, we're actually not going to retake the Senate.
00:11:13.800 I don't know, 55, 45 percent, we retake the Senate.
00:11:16.580 Maybe now I'm feeling a little more confident.
00:11:18.860 At this dinner, very smart people who are very involved in this and keeping their eyes on the data all the time,
00:11:25.920 they're saying, I don't know, 52 seats, 53 seats, some people even saying 54, which seems ambitious, but could be happening.
00:11:35.700 Look at the individual races.
00:11:37.160 Blake Masters right now, who people wrote off, they wrote him off months ago, even a lot of conservatives.
00:11:42.560 And I love Blake Masters.
00:11:44.140 I think the guy's a great candidate.
00:11:46.260 It's his first time running for anything, so he's a little green on the trail, but I think his views are really, really solid.
00:11:53.140 I think he sees where the future of the party has to go.
00:11:55.680 He's run a good campaign, really good campaign from that perspective.
00:11:59.920 Blake is surging in Arizona.
00:12:01.720 Politico, which had written the election off, had said that it was a Democrat seat, has just shifted it back to a toss-up.
00:12:12.540 Masters has been lagging behind Kelly for a while now.
00:12:17.880 Now a new poll from Trafalgar and Daily Wire puts Masters behind Kelly by one percentage point.
00:12:22.880 Very, very close race.
00:12:25.980 And then you're getting even better news right now in the races in Georgia.
00:12:30.260 So you've got two very, very important races in Georgia.
00:12:32.700 You've got Herschel Walker versus Raphael Warnock for the Senate, and theoretically could determine the balance of the Senate.
00:12:39.120 Would be very important for a Republican majority.
00:12:41.140 And you've got the governor's race there, because Stacey Abrams has been pretending to be governor of Georgia ever since she lost.
00:12:47.340 Incredible news from Rasmussen polling.
00:12:51.620 Rasmussen polling, which is Republican-leaning, but still got a good track record.
00:12:57.480 Rasmussen is showing Walker up by five points, 48 to 43%.
00:13:05.900 Rasmussen shows that Brian Kemp has jumped to a 10-point lead over Stacey Abrams, 51 to 41.
00:13:16.060 So this would be absolutely humiliating for Stacey Abrams, because her whole claim was that in 2018 the election was rigged, it was razor thin, and really it was her race.
00:13:27.680 And that claim is just falling apart right now.
00:13:31.440 If she runs again and she loses by 10 points, it's brutal.
00:13:35.000 Now, who knows what shenanigans the Democrats are going to pull.
00:13:37.800 They've pulled them before, and they've pulled them in Georgia.
00:13:40.000 But can they pull the kind of shenanigans that can overcome a 10-point lead?
00:13:44.840 I'm not so sure about that.
00:13:46.380 And even Herschel Walker, they threw the kitchen sink at Herschel Walker in October.
00:13:52.100 They said he's the worst guy in the world.
00:13:54.540 He's committed all these terrible sins.
00:13:55.980 His whole family hates him.
00:13:57.280 I mean, just the worst muckety-muck, dirty, filthy kind of politics.
00:14:03.440 And it doesn't seem to have hurt him very much at all.
00:14:07.200 So what are the Democrats doing about this?
00:14:10.280 The Democrats are looking ahead.
00:14:14.620 And not only, I mean, I assume they're doing their absolute best to salvage this election.
00:14:21.080 But they're looking ahead.
00:14:22.200 They're saying, man, this is going so poorly for us that we've already got to deny the 2024 election.
00:14:29.560 What are you actually suggesting we do if Trump wins fair and square?
00:14:34.500 Let's forget about any foul play or anything like that.
00:14:37.040 If he wins in 2024, what are you going to do?
00:14:40.660 Are you going to respect that result?
00:14:44.660 I mean, I don't accept the premise of your question.
00:14:46.860 If he wins in 2024, let's forget the foul play.
00:14:49.420 How can I forget the foul play when right now the Republican Party is trying to change state legislature rules, voting rules?
00:14:57.700 Shadi, right now, they are taking steps to make sure that the 2024 election is not a free and fair election.
00:15:03.200 You keep just pushing that away.
00:15:04.840 You're not willing to accept that outcome, then.
00:15:08.280 That's concerning to me.
00:15:09.520 I'm not.
00:15:10.020 Hold on.
00:15:10.280 Hold on.
00:15:10.960 I'm willing to accept an outcome of a free and fair election.
00:15:14.620 Shadi, as of right now, do you believe the 2024 election will be a free and fair election if black people are denied the right to vote, if there is racist gerrymandering continues?
00:15:22.460 It's not the right to vote.
00:15:23.280 If election workers are threatened with death.
00:15:24.960 That's the first I've heard that black people have been, the vote has been taken away from them?
00:15:30.500 It's the first you've heard that black voters have been disenfranchised in America.
00:15:33.380 This is exaggerated rhetoric.
00:15:35.040 So there you have it.
00:15:38.060 There you have it.
00:15:39.960 And this shouldn't be surprising to people who understand the leftist point of view.
00:15:49.740 When the left uses the word democracy, they don't really mean democracy.
00:15:53.640 Obviously not, because they say that the people voting for Donald Trump is a threat to democracy.
00:15:58.000 The Italians voting for Georgia Maloney is a threat to democracy.
00:16:01.760 The Hungarians voting for Viktor Orban is a threat to democracy.
00:16:05.700 The people electing someone, by definition, is an expression of democracy.
00:16:12.840 So obviously democracy doesn't mean what they seem to think it means.
00:16:16.440 For the left, democracy just means liberalism.
00:16:20.460 And so the people have to vote for liberalism.
00:16:26.340 They have to.
00:16:28.060 Liberalism necessarily, according to the libs, has to triumph at the ballot box
00:16:34.040 in order for it to be a legitimate election.
00:16:38.520 It's not just that sometimes the Republicans steal the elections,
00:16:41.580 or sometimes the Democrats steal the elections.
00:16:43.280 It's, according to the libs,
00:16:45.860 every election that the Democrats win, even if they steal it, is legitimate.
00:16:50.760 And every election that the Republicans win,
00:16:53.380 even if it is completely above board,
00:16:56.100 you can't point to a single problem with it,
00:16:57.760 every single election has to be illegitimate.
00:16:59.760 Because liberalism and democracy, to them, are the exact same thing.
00:17:05.180 And because the only reason,
00:17:07.680 because liberalism is so manifestly good and true,
00:17:10.860 and in everyone's interests,
00:17:12.520 the only reason that you could not vote for the liberal
00:17:16.380 is because you were not permitted to through suppression,
00:17:20.120 or you were misinformed, you were deceived,
00:17:23.140 it was a fraud.
00:17:24.120 It's this ignorance, it's a false consciousness you're laboring under.
00:17:29.660 But either way, it has to be illegitimate.
00:17:33.660 Now, it's ironic, of course, because we've heard for two years now
00:17:36.900 that the greatest threat to our democracy is denying elections.
00:17:39.100 They're already denying the next one.
00:17:40.760 Of course they will.
00:17:41.480 And what I've been trying to tell people from the very beginning,
00:17:44.180 especially since we've heard all this hullabaloo BS
00:17:47.540 about January 6th and the January 6th Committee,
00:17:50.020 and the greatest threat to our country is to deny our sacred democracy.
00:17:53.580 The liberals do not give a damn about the democracy.
00:17:57.500 They openly deride the democracy
00:18:00.100 when the democracy elects people that they don't like.
00:18:02.660 Stop taking it seriously.
00:18:04.380 Stop taking the bait.
00:18:05.320 Now, I think, finally, people are getting that argument
00:18:08.560 because you're seeing that reflected in the polls.
00:18:10.960 The Democrats went all in.
00:18:12.720 It's just amazing.
00:18:14.040 They went all in this year on really two issues.
00:18:17.860 They said the two issues that Americans care about are abortion
00:18:22.360 and January 6th, 2021, this sort of unruly event at the Capitol.
00:18:31.700 That's it.
00:18:33.100 And by the way, I care a lot about abortion.
00:18:35.080 I'm very pro-life, very, very strongly pro-life.
00:18:39.420 Very few people care about abortion on the pro-life side
00:18:41.680 or the pro-choice side when they're actually casting their vote.
00:18:44.940 It matters as a top issue to something like 15% of people.
00:18:49.700 And then on January 6th, no, nobody cares.
00:18:53.580 Like, truly, a negative people cares about January 6th.
00:18:59.160 So they're already trying to deny it.
00:19:03.860 But of course, it is not illegitimate for the people to reject liberalism.
00:19:09.620 In fact, I think that people should always reject liberalism.
00:19:12.060 I think liberalism is just wrong and bad in all of its forms.
00:19:16.840 It should be cast aside.
00:19:19.380 We don't.
00:19:19.960 It's not good.
00:19:21.700 And people have good reason to reject the liberalism
00:19:25.500 and the terrible liberal candidates.
00:19:28.140 Once again, even putting aside that terrible debate performance
00:19:31.980 from John Fetterman against Dr. Oz,
00:19:33.920 here again, we have a new example of John Fetterman
00:19:38.500 showing that he is not fit for the U.S. Senate.
00:19:43.200 You know, and, you know, you talk about the liberty of statue
00:19:48.340 has never had an inscription inside that said,
00:19:53.200 you know, send your tired hundred masses
00:19:57.660 and put him on a bus and turn him into a cheap political stunt.
00:20:03.440 I, again, I don't mean to make fun of Fetterman
00:20:06.740 because he has brain damage.
00:20:07.940 I think his wife is obviously a complete psychopath
00:20:10.940 to put him on the campaign trail.
00:20:13.120 Democrats, obviously very cynical
00:20:14.640 because I believe he had his stroke
00:20:16.980 the day before the primary day,
00:20:20.000 right around the primary.
00:20:21.060 So they said, well, we're already in it.
00:20:22.260 He's going to win the primary.
00:20:23.140 So let's just weather this thing out
00:20:26.660 and hope that we can just force him into the Senate.
00:20:29.060 And then he won't do anything in the Senate.
00:20:30.800 We'll do everything for him,
00:20:32.600 but it'll be just fine, no big deal.
00:20:35.760 Because the people don't matter here for the libs.
00:20:40.000 He'll just be one more vote for Joe Biden,
00:20:42.180 one more vote for the liberal establishment.
00:20:44.400 That's fine.
00:20:45.400 And now the people are looking at that man
00:20:46.820 and they're saying, no, that's not the leadership we want.
00:20:49.400 So Fetterman has a pretty legit excuse
00:20:52.340 as to why he is giving such a bad performance
00:20:57.740 on the campaign trail.
00:20:59.000 Other Democrats don't have that kind of excuse.
00:21:01.420 I think the candidate who's actually collapsing
00:21:04.060 in real time even more dramatically than Fetterman
00:21:07.600 is Kathy Hochul, the governor of New York.
00:21:10.740 Kathy Hochul the other day in a debate with Lee Zeldin,
00:21:13.600 the Republican who is beating her right now in the polls.
00:21:16.200 Zeldin kept hitting her on crime and Kathy Hochul said,
00:21:21.080 oh Lee, why is it so important to you to lock up criminals?
00:21:24.460 Come on, Lee, what's the big deal about this?
00:21:26.880 New York voters looking at her saying,
00:21:28.440 lady, are you kidding me?
00:21:31.100 Crime is spiking everywhere.
00:21:33.040 And yeah, I'm with that guy.
00:21:34.400 I don't even know what he believes about anything else,
00:21:35.980 but I'm definitely not with you
00:21:37.120 if you think crime doesn't matter.
00:21:39.000 Big, big misstep.
00:21:40.420 And then again, just yesterday,
00:21:42.880 we see Kathy Hochul making the closing argument,
00:21:46.900 I guess, for her campaign.
00:21:48.600 Now on the issue of masking up little toddlers again.
00:21:53.680 So let's talk about exactly what RSV is.
00:21:56.040 These are the symptoms.
00:21:56.980 I want parents to be aware of them.
00:21:58.640 Usually fall and winter.
00:22:00.300 It's like a common cold,
00:22:01.540 but it does hit younger children
00:22:03.560 and it's really frightening.
00:22:05.060 It's not new at all.
00:22:06.260 Something we've seen before,
00:22:07.520 but infants as young as six months old
00:22:09.960 have been known to contract this.
00:22:11.820 So, you know, it's hard to keep kids safe.
00:22:14.660 You know, think about the fact that a year ago,
00:22:17.200 you know, before a year ago,
00:22:18.180 a lot of kids were wearing masks in a daycare center
00:22:20.440 or in schools,
00:22:21.580 and that did give them some level of protection.
00:22:24.640 We're not mandating this,
00:22:26.080 but we're saying parents, you know,
00:22:28.000 you got other kids,
00:22:28.780 you got kids in school, preschool,
00:22:30.240 and you got a baby at home.
00:22:31.460 You really might just want to take these extra precautions.
00:22:34.020 And by now, kids are more socialized
00:22:36.140 to the idea of wearing a mask.
00:22:37.580 It's not as strange to them.
00:22:38.680 It's not as like, what is this all about?
00:22:40.240 There's really cute masks out there.
00:22:41.420 I've seen a lot of them.
00:22:42.700 So that's something I'm encouraging all parents to consider.
00:22:47.620 Is this woman trying to lose?
00:22:50.140 Is she actually saying,
00:22:52.120 how many days are we out from the election now?
00:22:55.180 12 or some, 11 or 12 days from the election.
00:22:57.980 And she's saying,
00:22:59.480 hey, parents, I'm not going to mandate it yet,
00:23:02.240 but you should really mask up your two-year-olds.
00:23:06.180 Yeah, put the masks on.
00:23:08.040 Two and a half years now after more,
00:23:10.740 yeah, just about two and a half years
00:23:11.920 after 15 days to slow the spread.
00:23:14.820 Put masks on your two-year-olds.
00:23:17.760 Vote for us.
00:23:19.300 We're the party of fresh ideas.
00:23:21.460 Of course not.
00:23:23.680 Because they're out of everything.
00:23:25.880 And again, I actually see a little bit of,
00:23:29.140 I think I can see the thought process here.
00:23:31.220 If there was a thought process,
00:23:33.320 which is the Democrats have been dead
00:23:35.320 on every single campaign issue
00:23:37.060 other than COVID for most of this.
00:23:39.340 Okay, let's double down.
00:23:40.180 COVID's very serious.
00:23:41.600 We've got to go back to,
00:23:42.600 we've got to mask people up.
00:23:44.580 It's completely,
00:23:45.660 it's completely misreading the moment.
00:23:48.620 And misreading the polls,
00:23:49.620 which show that the Democrats are down
00:23:50.780 even on COVID now.
00:23:52.620 They've got nothing left
00:23:54.380 unless they pull a rabbit out of a hat
00:23:59.860 to really rig up this election.
00:24:03.020 Unless the voting,
00:24:04.300 the vote counting takes three months here.
00:24:07.740 They pause it on election day.
00:24:09.340 They say, oh, we got to work something out.
00:24:10.500 Don't worry.
00:24:11.280 Unless that,
00:24:12.000 it just seems to me
00:24:12.980 that the Democrats are like cows
00:24:17.100 on the way to the slaughterhouse
00:24:18.700 when it comes to these midterm elections.
00:24:23.100 You know, I'm so excited to present to you
00:24:25.420 a new three-part series
00:24:27.000 from Jordan Peterson on Daily Wire Plus
00:24:28.640 that is on marriage.
00:24:31.000 I am obviously so grateful
00:24:33.080 to have a wonderful marriage
00:24:34.360 with sweet little Elisa.
00:24:36.360 With marriage rates
00:24:37.440 at an all-time low right now
00:24:39.140 in the United States
00:24:39.840 and a birth rate that is continuing to fall,
00:24:41.960 everyone needs to watch this series,
00:24:44.880 especially young people.
00:24:46.340 The statistics are showing
00:24:47.440 that younger people
00:24:49.260 are getting married much later in life
00:24:51.240 and less frequently as well.
00:24:52.840 Now, I know that our audience here
00:24:54.720 is not filled with Peter Pan's,
00:24:56.760 but just in case
00:24:57.440 there are a few stragglers there
00:24:58.820 who are late to the marriage game
00:25:01.460 and are not, you know,
00:25:03.100 have not taken holy orders
00:25:04.280 or something like that,
00:25:05.620 consecrated singlehood or something,
00:25:07.860 consider this a pleasant,
00:25:08.820 especially for the boys, by the way,
00:25:10.240 consider this a pleasant kick in the teeth.
00:25:12.700 Don't be selfish.
00:25:13.880 Or as Jordan Peterson says,
00:25:15.400 stop having cocaine-fueled binge parties
00:25:18.480 and make your bed.
00:25:20.780 And for those of you married folks
00:25:21.940 who've let time and work
00:25:23.400 and outside forces get in the way,
00:25:25.100 Jordan will also show you
00:25:26.140 how to navigate through those moments
00:25:28.060 and get back to that romantic,
00:25:29.740 fun adventure
00:25:30.180 that you had at the beginning.
00:25:32.540 Daily Wire Plus members

00:25:34.360 of Jordan Peterson's
00:25:35.320 On Marriage
00:25:36.460 with two more episodes coming out soon.

00:25:45.780 the total collapse of society
00:25:48.520 as we know it.
00:25:53.660 Speaking of kids,
00:25:57.900 Disney has just fulfilled
00:26:00.740 one of the long-standing dreams
00:26:05.520 of radical liberals
00:26:07.660 with nothing better to do
00:26:08.700 than to make up problems.
00:26:09.680 Disney,
00:26:11.600 well, listen,
00:26:13.720 I'll let some random adult
00:26:15.860 on Twitter
00:26:16.420 explain the significance.
00:26:21.600 This is not a drill,
00:26:23.320 all quote,
00:26:24.040 all caps.
00:26:25.480 Disney Plus
00:26:26.320 finally
00:26:27.340 made a short
00:26:28.780 with a plus-size lead.
00:26:31.460 It's called Reflect,
00:26:33.340 and it's part of the
00:26:34.440 Short Circuit short series.
00:26:36.520 Let's just say
00:26:37.160 I was sobbing.
00:26:39.200 At first,
00:26:39.940 I thought
00:26:40.280 that this was
00:26:41.100 parody.
00:26:43.760 I don't think it is.
00:26:45.880 I think
00:26:46.360 what's the story here?
00:26:48.340 The story is that
00:26:48.900 Disney releases
00:26:49.780 short films sometimes,
00:26:51.240 which very few people see,
00:26:53.040 and in this case,
00:26:54.140 they made a short film
00:26:55.760 about a fat girl,
00:26:57.720 and
00:26:58.160 this does not seem
00:27:00.300 like international news
00:27:01.580 to me,
00:27:02.540 but it was trending
00:27:03.180 on social media.
00:27:04.240 There's been a lot
00:27:04.760 of commentary about it.
00:27:06.000 This is supposed to be
00:27:06.820 very, very significant,
00:27:08.220 and apparently,
00:27:08.860 it's very, very significant
00:27:09.840 to this woman.
00:27:11.400 Not a drill.
00:27:12.000 Finally,
00:27:12.600 they finally made
00:27:13.620 a short film
00:27:14.260 about a fat girl.
00:27:15.700 I didn't know
00:27:16.180 this was something
00:27:16.720 we were all longing for,
00:27:18.120 that anyone really
00:27:18.880 was longing for,
00:27:19.640 but finally, finally,
00:27:21.180 and this one was brought
00:27:21.840 to tears over this,
00:27:23.780 sobbing.
00:27:24.900 Then another adult woman
00:27:26.380 took to Twitter,
00:27:28.100 said,
00:27:29.220 16-year-old me
00:27:30.960 needed this
00:27:31.960 Disney short
00:27:32.860 before I quit ballet
00:27:34.200 because I didn't want
00:27:34.840 to be the fat girl
00:27:35.540 in class anymore.
00:27:36.300 I'm glad the little ones
00:27:37.080 will have this.
00:27:37.960 10 out of 10
00:27:38.660 for reflect.
00:27:39.420 It's so wonderful.
00:27:40.840 And so,
00:27:42.280 I look
00:27:43.000 at these two accounts.
00:27:44.940 There were a lot of others.
00:27:45.700 These were just the ones
00:27:46.360 that were lumped in
00:27:47.000 with the trending.
00:27:48.920 They're going
00:27:49.520 completely viral
00:27:50.440 all over Twitter.
00:27:52.920 Adult number one,
00:27:54.580 pronouns in bio.
00:27:56.360 Checks out.
00:27:57.680 Adult number two,
00:27:59.920 pronouns in bio,
00:28:00.980 self-identified dog mom,
00:28:04.100 and a teacher.
00:28:05.340 So that's good.
00:28:05.720 This is who you want
00:28:06.320 educating your kids, right?
00:28:07.540 You always want the pronouns
00:28:08.480 in bio educating your kids, right?
00:28:10.060 No, I don't think so.
00:28:13.080 I don't have much
00:28:15.040 of an opinion
00:28:15.600 about Disney
00:28:17.480 making a short film
00:28:18.500 about a fat girl.
00:28:20.720 Okay, that's fine.
00:28:21.740 I don't watch
00:28:22.380 short Disney films.
00:28:24.340 I don't watch
00:28:25.280 new long Disney films.
00:28:27.120 I don't...
00:28:29.120 That's okay.
00:28:30.720 Though I have opinions
00:28:32.140 about a great many things,
00:28:33.100 this is not something
00:28:33.760 that I have
00:28:34.180 particularly strong
00:28:35.440 feelings about.
00:28:36.400 However,
00:28:37.540 I do have
00:28:39.560 strong feelings
00:28:40.680 about childless
00:28:42.940 adults
00:28:43.500 who are
00:28:44.820 completely
00:28:45.680 obsessed
00:28:46.260 with Disney.
00:28:48.220 And more broadly,
00:28:49.360 I have
00:28:49.660 strong opinions
00:28:50.420 about childless
00:28:51.580 adults
00:28:52.440 who are
00:28:54.180 obsessed
00:28:55.120 obsessed
00:28:55.200 with
00:28:55.640 children's
00:28:56.840 things.
00:28:58.620 That's weird.
00:29:00.320 You shouldn't
00:29:00.940 do that.
00:29:02.820 I have
00:29:03.960 friends of mine
00:29:04.460 who
00:29:05.980 as adults,
00:29:10.220 childless
00:29:10.820 adults,
00:29:11.280 sometimes even
00:29:11.780 just alone,
00:29:12.780 will go
00:29:13.640 to Disney World
00:29:14.600 or will...
00:29:16.900 They just can't
00:29:17.820 wait for the next
00:29:18.600 children's movie
00:29:19.460 to come out.
00:29:20.020 And they're going
00:29:20.280 to go see
00:29:20.720 the next children's
00:29:21.640 movie on
00:29:22.860 the first day
00:29:24.640 of the movie
00:29:25.220 or they buy
00:29:26.620 toys.
00:29:27.400 They buy
00:29:27.740 children's toys
00:29:28.860 for themselves
00:29:29.820 just to have
00:29:30.480 the toys.
00:29:31.480 And so they get
00:29:31.940 to play with
00:29:32.380 the toys.
00:29:33.440 And that...
00:29:34.520 It's not just
00:29:35.640 a few weird
00:29:36.320 people that I'm
00:29:36.900 making fun of.
00:29:37.440 This is a social
00:29:38.200 phenomenon that
00:29:39.260 seems to be
00:29:39.900 growing,
00:29:40.480 in particular
00:29:40.980 among my
00:29:41.460 generation,
00:29:42.040 the millennials.
00:29:42.980 And it's
00:29:43.600 really weird.
00:29:44.340 And it's
00:29:44.680 obviously related
00:29:45.960 to the fact
00:29:48.440 that our
00:29:48.700 generation is
00:29:49.280 not having
00:29:49.900 children.
00:29:51.200 And they're
00:29:51.460 not getting
00:29:51.740 married and
00:29:52.140 they're delaying
00:29:52.600 everything and
00:29:53.040 they're not
00:29:53.260 having as many
00:29:53.740 kids and
00:29:54.080 they're not
00:29:54.300 having kids
00:29:54.980 at all
00:29:55.300 in many
00:29:55.560 cases.
00:29:56.760 And these
00:29:57.520 are obviously
00:29:58.020 related.
00:29:59.500 Because there
00:30:00.280 actually is
00:30:02.120 something natural
00:30:03.780 about wanting
00:30:04.740 to experience
00:30:07.200 childhood things
00:30:08.480 as an adult.
00:30:09.880 That's called
00:30:10.540 nostalgia.
00:30:11.420 That's totally
00:30:12.180 normal.
00:30:14.460 And there's a
00:30:15.300 way to do it.
00:30:16.580 The way to do it
00:30:17.380 is to have kids
00:30:18.280 and then you get
00:30:18.800 to experience it
00:30:19.520 with your kids.
00:30:20.000 You get to take
00:30:20.480 your kid to the
00:30:21.000 Disney movie.
00:30:21.540 And that's
00:30:22.820 not something
00:30:23.160 that I'm
00:30:23.480 exactly eager
00:30:24.040 to do.
00:30:24.380 But maybe
00:30:24.660 I'll get a
00:30:25.000 kick out of
00:30:25.400 part of the
00:30:25.720 movie.
00:30:26.480 Or you buy
00:30:27.680 your kid toys
00:30:28.340 and then you
00:30:28.680 play with the
00:30:29.200 toys with the
00:30:29.760 kid.
00:30:29.980 And that
00:30:30.180 actually can
00:30:30.560 be kind
00:30:30.860 of fun.
00:30:32.160 That's good.
00:30:32.800 That's the
00:30:33.920 right way to
00:30:35.040 channel your
00:30:35.740 nostalgia for
00:30:37.140 childhood and
00:30:38.540 to keep your
00:30:39.000 imagination alive and
00:30:39.800 all these things.
00:30:40.640 The bad way is to
00:30:42.300 pretend to be a
00:30:43.280 child.
00:30:43.640 The bad way is to
00:30:44.220 never grow up.
00:30:45.120 Because when you're
00:30:45.860 a child, you do
00:30:46.700 childish things.
00:30:48.340 And when you
00:30:48.700 childlike things.
00:30:51.240 You do the
00:30:51.880 things that
00:30:52.260 children do.
00:30:53.660 When you grow
00:30:54.320 up, when you
00:30:56.200 become a man,
00:30:56.840 you're supposed to
00:30:57.300 put away the
00:30:58.460 things of a
00:30:59.940 child.
00:31:02.640 There's actually
00:31:03.220 a Kenny Loggins
00:31:03.900 song about this.
00:31:04.980 The Pooh Corner
00:31:05.920 song.
00:31:06.800 Help me if you
00:31:08.080 can, I've got to
00:31:09.160 get back.
00:31:09.600 It's actually a
00:31:10.060 pretty good song.
00:31:10.760 And it's a song he
00:31:11.320 wrote in high school.
00:31:11.920 I've mentioned it
00:31:12.460 once or twice on the
00:31:13.200 show about how he
00:31:15.100 wandered out into
00:31:15.820 the hundred acre
00:31:16.320 wood when he's
00:31:17.240 looking for,
00:31:17.780 you know, his
00:31:18.340 friends, Winnie the
00:31:19.160 Pooh and everything.
00:31:20.180 But he can't find
00:31:20.840 them.
00:31:21.000 He's wandered a
00:31:21.440 little bit too far
00:31:22.160 today and he can't
00:31:22.880 get back.
00:31:23.520 He can't get back to
00:31:24.500 childhood because he's
00:31:25.260 graduating high school
00:31:26.140 now.
00:31:26.560 He's becoming a man.
00:31:28.100 And it leaves you
00:31:28.940 with a little bit of
00:31:29.500 longing but kind of
00:31:31.600 some hope for the
00:31:33.000 future and say,
00:31:33.860 okay, I'm going to do
00:31:34.240 bigger things now.
00:31:35.160 I'm going to do more
00:31:35.600 adult things now.
00:31:36.660 And then when he had
00:31:37.780 children, Kenny Loggins,
00:31:39.000 he added a verse to
00:31:39.960 the song.
00:31:40.260 He said, I actually did
00:31:41.000 get to go back to the
00:31:41.840 hundred acre wood because
00:31:43.080 now my little kid has
00:31:44.680 my little Winnie the Pooh
00:31:46.460 bear and he's
00:31:47.680 hugging him and I get
00:31:48.920 to see the world again
00:31:49.860 now through his eyes.
00:31:51.200 Wow, what a wonderful
00:31:52.000 thing.
00:31:53.520 But don't, for goodness
00:31:54.820 sakes, people, don't be
00:31:56.580 overgrown children.
00:31:58.760 Whatever.
00:31:59.240 Who cares about the
00:32:00.580 fat girl in the Disney
00:32:01.460 movie or the short film
00:32:02.880 or whatever?
00:32:04.760 That doesn't matter.
00:32:06.840 What matters is you
00:32:09.700 getting really, really
00:32:10.620 excited to go see a
00:32:11.840 kids movie.
00:32:12.820 You shouldn't be doing
00:32:13.800 that.
00:32:14.040 If you are getting
00:32:15.300 really, really excited
00:32:16.120 for the kids stuff, you
00:32:17.740 need to grow your
00:32:19.440 interests and you need
00:32:21.140 to look to higher
00:32:21.960 things because you're an
00:32:23.040 adult and you got to
00:32:24.160 act like a man.
00:32:25.120 Usually I do the Don
00:32:26.120 Corleone impression when
00:32:27.520 it's some guy whining about
00:32:29.020 how he can't get a girl or
00:32:30.000 something like that or he
00:32:30.980 can't.
00:32:31.380 But you got to act like a
00:32:33.400 man, not just from the
00:32:35.180 sex perspective, but from
00:32:36.220 the age perspective.
00:32:37.000 You got to act like a man,
00:32:38.080 act like a grownup.
00:32:39.080 What's the matter with you?
00:32:39.780 Speaking of movies, there's
00:32:44.000 some advice that's gone
00:32:44.760 viral on TikTok.
00:32:46.480 This, of course, is the
00:32:47.400 advice that white people
00:32:49.120 who go to see Black
00:32:52.300 Panther, the new Black
00:32:53.320 Panther movie on opening
00:32:54.140 weekend, are in fact
00:32:55.260 anti-black.
00:32:55.980 This message is to all our
00:33:05.260 would-be accomplices and
00:33:07.400 white allies.
00:33:08.940 This message is to all the
00:33:10.380 white people who have BLM in
00:33:12.060 their bio.
00:33:13.280 If you really want to prove
00:33:15.460 to Black people that you
00:33:16.860 love us and you care about
00:33:18.140 us and you are down for the
00:33:19.400 cause, do not go see that
00:33:21.620 movie opening weekend.
00:33:23.500 You buy your ticket, you give
00:33:25.520 it to a Black person or a
00:33:26.660 Black family who can't
00:33:27.520 afford to go.
00:33:28.480 And then you go sit at that
00:33:29.780 theater in front of the
00:33:31.520 doors.
00:33:32.400 You make sure that every
00:33:33.440 Black person in that
00:33:34.760 theater can enjoy that
00:33:35.920 movie in peace.
00:33:37.600 You make sure that you use
00:33:39.460 your body to block us from
00:33:42.240 anybody who would be coming
00:33:43.520 in that theater to do us
00:33:44.720 harm.
00:33:45.420 That is your job.
00:33:47.240 You can go see it on
00:33:48.180 another weekend.
00:33:48.900 Go see it on the second or
00:33:49.880 third weekend.
00:33:50.420 But the first weekend, that's
00:33:52.260 for us.
00:33:53.260 To do anything other than
00:33:54.340 this is anti-Black.
00:33:57.500 So you got to give her
00:33:58.920 credit for a good grift, for
00:34:00.300 a good con.
00:34:00.880 It's worked on a lot of
00:34:01.740 people.
00:34:02.720 This is what all of the
00:34:04.420 anti-racism stuff is about.
00:34:08.060 It's just a power move.
00:34:10.420 It's just a con to say, hey,
00:34:11.400 give me something.
00:34:12.580 Hey, you, shut up.
00:34:13.460 You shut up.
00:34:14.480 Let me do whatever I want.
00:34:16.980 That's the, give me money,
00:34:18.580 give me whatever.
00:34:19.280 That's all it is.
00:34:20.200 It's a really cynical
00:34:21.920 shakedown kind of thing as
00:34:23.620 she is expressing.
00:34:24.760 But hey, if the con's
00:34:25.660 working for her, I guess,
00:34:26.940 you know, there's some
00:34:28.360 cleverness involved.
00:34:29.520 On this one in particular,
00:34:30.820 though, I have to say,
00:34:32.820 fine by me.
00:34:34.240 She can have my ticket to
00:34:35.440 the new Black Panther movie.
00:34:36.600 That Black Panther was so
00:34:37.860 bad.
00:34:38.620 I had to watch it because
00:34:39.620 Daily Wire made me because
00:34:40.820 I had to give a review.
00:34:41.800 It was so terrible.
00:34:43.800 I didn't enjoy a single
00:34:45.400 second of it.
00:34:46.000 It's not a good movie.
00:34:46.900 And I assume, since sequels
00:34:49.220 are generally not as good
00:34:50.520 as the first, I assume
00:34:52.680 Black Panther 2 is going to
00:34:54.040 be even worse.
00:34:54.960 So, yes.
00:34:56.440 Call, I am the new
00:34:57.480 Ibram Kendi.
00:34:58.780 I am basically Robin
00:35:00.360 D'Angelo here.
00:35:01.300 You may, lady, you may
00:35:02.440 have my ticket to Black
00:35:03.740 Panther.
00:35:05.020 I don't have a ticket.
00:35:05.760 I don't have one yet.
00:35:06.480 But if I find one, you
00:35:07.440 can have it.
00:35:08.520 I'm very excited because
00:35:09.420 the best time of the week
00:35:10.340 is about to start.
00:35:11.360 Right now, baby, our
00:35:12.960 mailbag.

00:35:24.700 All right.
00:35:25.080 Let's start with the
00:35:25.740 voicemail bag.
00:35:27.120 Take it away.
00:35:28.900 Hello, Michael.
00:35:29.960 Grant here, an avid
00:35:31.240 listener from Scotland.
00:35:33.140 So, I'm hoping to get
00:35:34.620 married next year in
00:35:36.020 August to a wonderful
00:35:38.580 lady who I've known for
00:35:39.840 about 10 years.
00:35:40.660 The interesting thing is
00:35:42.500 that we're both committed
00:35:44.100 Christians and we
00:35:45.480 are both virgins.
00:35:46.940 We're both 33 years old
00:35:48.460 and we've never had sex.
00:35:50.100 We believe, of course,
00:35:51.860 that sex has been placed
00:35:54.440 within the bounds of
00:35:55.600 marriage by God.
00:35:56.940 Society in general doesn't
00:35:58.480 seem to value virginity at
00:36:00.500 all or saving yourself.
00:36:02.860 It's just seen as a...
00:36:04.000 Here in the UK, it's seen
00:36:05.200 as an eccentricity.
00:36:06.780 I've even been accused.
00:36:10.460 I don't know if that's the
00:36:11.100 right word.
00:36:11.780 It's been suggested that
00:36:12.860 I'm an incel.
00:36:14.700 Of course, I would argue
00:36:15.540 that I'm a V-cell.
00:36:16.780 I'm voluntarily celibate
00:36:18.520 until marriage.
00:36:19.660 Just wondering if there's
00:36:21.340 the same culture in the
00:36:24.660 United States as there is
00:36:26.400 over here.
00:36:27.160 I would hope that public
00:36:29.740 Christianity being somewhat
00:36:31.260 stronger in the US, that
00:36:32.420 there'd be more respect for
00:36:34.200 those who wait until
00:36:35.240 marriage, even like myself
00:36:37.220 and my fiancée, people who
00:36:38.620 wait until they're in their
00:36:40.280 30s.
00:36:41.200 Is that a thing, would you
00:36:42.740 say?
00:36:43.280 Thanks, Michael.
00:36:45.440 Well, listen, good on you
00:36:47.960 for doing that.
00:36:50.200 Unfortunately, in the United
00:36:54.020 States, it's pretty much the
00:36:55.400 same situation.
00:36:57.340 The public Christianity has
00:36:59.840 collapsed broadly.
00:37:01.420 The idea of saving your
00:37:03.520 virginity has also
00:37:05.880 basically collapsed.
00:37:09.260 And so, no, here in the
00:37:12.680 United States, you would be
00:37:13.980 considered eccentric.
00:37:15.060 But that's good.
00:37:16.500 Sometimes it's very good to
00:37:17.500 be eccentric, and I suspect
00:37:18.620 that will serve you in your
00:37:19.840 marriage.
00:37:20.220 So stand strong.
00:37:21.280 All right, next question.
00:37:24.320 Hi, Michael.
00:37:25.260 My name is Hunter, and I'm a
00:37:26.700 stay-at-home mom to two
00:37:28.080 beautiful little girls.
00:37:29.700 And I have a husband who is
00:37:31.120 the love of my life and the
00:37:32.580 best man I've ever known.
00:37:34.640 When we met, I was all about
00:37:36.940 the, I'm spiritual Christian,
00:37:39.320 but not religious nonsense.
00:37:43.160 That has changed so much over
00:37:45.040 the years.
00:37:45.700 And honestly, because of you,
00:37:47.600 I'm seriously considering
00:37:49.020 converting to the Catholic faith.
00:37:51.480 It is the most important thing to
00:37:53.680 me as a mother to pass on my
00:37:55.740 faith to my children,
00:37:57.200 children, which my husband is
00:37:59.100 totally fine with.
00:38:02.160 My husband, however, was never
00:38:04.260 raised with any concept of God.
00:38:06.740 Regardless of that, he is the
00:38:08.620 most faithful and loving husband
00:38:11.100 and father.
00:38:12.360 I'm wondering what advice you
00:38:13.780 would give to me to help bring
00:38:15.340 my husband to God.
00:38:17.080 Thank you so much for all you do,
00:38:18.700 Michael.
00:38:19.700 Oh, thanks so much.
00:38:20.600 Wonderful to hear that.
00:38:22.340 And you're in a way better
00:38:24.660 position than a lot of people
00:38:25.820 who write in to the show and
00:38:27.780 say, look, I've got a different
00:38:29.720 religious view from my husband
00:38:30.960 and he's totally opposed to mine
00:38:32.920 and it's creating a lot of
00:38:34.000 friction.
00:38:34.420 That's a tough situation.
00:38:35.740 Here, it seems like your husband
00:38:36.800 is totally open to it, but as
00:38:37.960 you say, he was just not raised
00:38:40.160 without any, forget proper
00:38:42.320 formation, without any religious
00:38:43.620 formation at all.
00:38:45.300 So I think what you ought to do
00:38:46.520 is one, you know, take your kids
00:38:49.020 to Mass and, you know, raise
00:38:52.240 them up in the faith as, you
00:38:53.980 know, especially as you're sort
00:38:55.380 of coming into it.
00:38:57.720 And then I would just tell your
00:39:00.060 husband, look, this matters to
00:39:01.980 me.
00:39:02.900 I think it is true.
00:39:05.220 I think it is good.
00:39:06.980 And I think it's important.
00:39:09.620 And it's not, I think it's very
00:39:11.400 true.
00:39:12.220 It's not just like a kind of
00:39:14.460 take it or leave it thing.
00:39:15.200 I think it's very true.
00:39:16.580 I think it's very good.
00:39:17.500 And I think it's very important.
00:39:20.060 And so you're still coming to
00:39:21.080 your husband and saying, look, I
00:39:22.640 respect you've got your own
00:39:24.000 views.
00:39:24.740 You're the head of the household
00:39:25.780 even.
00:39:27.140 But this is really important to
00:39:28.720 me.
00:39:28.920 So I would really, it would mean
00:39:31.560 a lot if you would at least kind
00:39:33.400 of look into it, you know, and
00:39:35.500 maybe take it seriously.
00:39:37.220 And maybe, I don't know, you have
00:39:38.520 him read a few books on the
00:39:40.200 subject.
00:39:41.260 Maybe you have him read the
00:39:42.380 Bible.
00:39:43.240 Maybe you have him read C.S.
00:39:47.020 Lewis or G.K.
00:39:47.900 Chesterton or some more modern
00:39:49.760 book or some older book or, you
00:39:51.360 know, I don't know.
00:39:51.860 You know your husband better than
00:39:53.460 me or you have him talk to a
00:39:54.420 priest or you have him talk to
00:39:55.840 your other Catholic friends or
00:39:58.640 who, you know.
00:39:59.560 But introduce him to it.
00:40:01.960 It's not his fault that he doesn't
00:40:03.000 know anything about it, you know.
00:40:04.240 And you could play a real role
00:40:05.940 here in pulling him in.
00:40:08.420 And then, as my friend Andrew
00:40:09.640 Klavan points out, if you play
00:40:12.580 some role in someone converting,
00:40:14.500 then you get an extra toaster in
00:40:15.900 heaven.
00:40:16.240 So, that's one.
00:40:16.880 I think you're in a good
00:40:17.440 position.
00:40:18.440 And I would just nurture that.
00:40:21.680 You know, that's what mothers
00:40:22.220 do.
00:40:22.520 Mothers nurture.
00:40:23.200 So, you can nurture that.
00:40:24.380 Keep going.
00:40:25.960 Hi, Michael.
00:40:27.080 So, for over a decade now, the
00:40:29.840 left has used institutions with
00:40:32.180 very large reach, such as CNN,
00:40:34.880 HuffPo, and Kotaku, to target and
00:40:38.580 condemn low-profile individuals for
00:40:42.340 opinions that they view as racist
00:40:44.760 or sexist and to thus cause them
00:40:46.640 socioeconomic damage.
00:40:48.320 I've noticed that, more recently,
00:40:50.640 conservatives have responded in
00:40:51.940 kind.
00:40:52.380 You know, examples include Candace
00:40:54.340 Owens and Libs of TikTok, who are
00:40:55.820 not afraid to call out individual
00:40:57.840 leftists on Twitter for their bad
00:40:59.520 behavior.
00:41:00.520 And not only do I not condemn this
00:41:02.620 practice when it comes to the right,
00:41:03.760 I actually applaud it.
00:41:05.340 Because, first of all, we have to
00:41:06.760 fight the left on their own terms.
00:41:08.220 And secondly, because, let's face
00:41:09.860 that no one's going to lose their
00:41:10.620 job because Candace Owens condemned
00:41:12.100 them.
00:41:13.000 My question to you is, how do we
00:41:14.520 determine when to fight the left
00:41:17.060 on their own battlefield and when
00:41:19.640 we have to take a stand for absolute
00:41:21.480 moral principles, even when it will
00:41:24.300 make it more difficult for us to
00:41:25.820 engage in battle?
00:41:27.020 Thanks for your moral clarity and
00:41:28.600 love the show.
00:41:29.940 Thanks very much.
00:41:30.920 You always need to take a stand for
00:41:33.300 absolute moral principles.
00:41:35.700 There is never a time when you can get
00:41:38.920 away from that.
00:41:41.020 And very often, that's the way that
00:41:43.800 this question is phrased.
00:41:46.460 When do we need to stand up for our
00:41:47.860 moral principles and when can we get
00:41:49.280 a little bit looser so we can sling
00:41:50.760 some mud at the left?
00:41:52.460 That's not the battle.
00:41:55.340 That's not the question.
00:41:57.780 The question is, do we fight tough or
00:42:01.800 do we fight weak?
00:42:04.060 You can fight weak in a very moral way.
00:42:06.900 Or I'm sorry, you can fight tough in a
00:42:09.020 very moral way.
00:42:10.000 You can fight weak in a very immoral
00:42:11.640 way.
00:42:12.080 You know, I mean, this was the absolute
00:42:13.360 lie of never Trump and the kind of
00:42:17.560 squishy types up until today is they
00:42:21.160 would say, well, you know, I just want
00:42:24.740 to lose with dignity.
00:42:26.680 There were some people who had
00:42:28.140 different objections to Trump, so I
00:42:29.480 don't want to paint with too broad a
00:42:30.500 brush.
00:42:30.840 Some people who had different fears and
00:42:31.940 things like that.
00:42:32.560 But you know who I'm talking about.
00:42:33.560 I'm talking about the David French
00:42:36.740 types.
00:42:37.560 You know, the David French types who
00:42:39.520 essentially said we need to lose with
00:42:42.160 dignity.
00:42:43.120 There's nothing dignified about that.
00:42:44.620 I don't think there's anything moral
00:42:45.720 about that.
00:42:47.460 So no, you can own the libs in a way
00:42:50.100 that is moral, where you're speaking
00:42:52.940 the truth with love for the good, and
00:42:56.920 you can own the libs in a way that's
00:42:58.500 immoral, where you can lie about people
00:43:00.200 and be, you know, needlessly vicious
00:43:02.540 and, you know, cruel and unjust.
00:43:06.480 So you could obviously do that, too.
00:43:09.020 But I think we need to be tough and
00:43:11.680 moral, and I think that when you're
00:43:13.800 tough in a moral way, you're going to
00:43:14.880 be much more effective.
00:43:15.820 Keep going.
00:43:18.760 Hey, Michael.
00:43:19.680 This is Vincent.
00:43:21.260 So the election is pretty soon, and I'd
00:43:25.080 like to know if the Republicans win the
00:43:28.280 House and or Senate, what is the number
00:43:30.760 one priority you think they should
00:43:32.200 focus on?
00:43:34.280 If the Republicans win the House and or
00:43:37.000 Senate, well, that's, hmm, depends on
00:43:41.300 if it's just the House or just the Senate,
00:43:43.300 but let's say they win both.
00:43:44.840 What should they do?
00:43:46.720 Well, they're going to want to launch all
00:43:50.260 sorts of investigations against the left,
00:43:52.300 which they should.
00:43:53.140 That should happen, but it shouldn't be
00:43:55.060 the top part of the agenda.
00:43:57.780 The first thing they have to do is
00:43:58.940 obstruct.
00:43:59.920 So they have to obstruct the Democrats
00:44:02.340 and Joe Biden's agenda.
00:44:04.900 That's what happens when you've got
00:44:06.780 divided government.
00:44:07.720 You've got the Democrats have the
00:44:08.680 White House and the Republicans have
00:44:09.820 the Congress.
00:44:10.880 Is, okay, good.
00:44:11.920 First thing, stop the bleeding.
00:44:13.760 Okay?
00:44:14.400 Then the Republicans should obstruct
00:44:17.240 Biden's nominees in, I assume, most
00:44:21.440 cases, but that would be a good start
00:44:24.900 because the nominees have been
00:44:25.780 absolutely horrific.
00:44:27.060 So you've got to stop that.
00:44:29.180 Then, really, the only major issue
00:44:34.320 right now where the Republicans could
00:44:38.420 have real legislative power before
00:44:40.480 2024 would be on something like
00:44:43.280 funding the war in Ukraine, which is
00:44:45.140 really important, by the way.
00:44:46.120 The war in Ukraine, well, one, could
00:44:49.280 see us all go up in smoke in a nuclear
00:44:52.160 war, first major war in Europe since
00:44:55.000 World War II, and the threats of
00:44:56.380 nukes have been lobbed around quite a
00:44:57.840 lot recently.
00:44:59.060 But also, it's driving up energy
00:45:00.440 prices, also threatens to destabilize
00:45:02.640 the entire world.
00:45:03.780 Also, the energy prices are driving up
00:45:05.680 inflation.
00:45:06.220 So it's having global effects pretty
00:45:07.740 much everywhere.
00:45:09.240 What I would recommend is that
00:45:12.580 Republicans use the power of the
00:45:14.340 purse that they have.
00:45:15.260 And even the power to declare war,
00:45:20.060 even though I don't think Joe Biden's
00:45:21.380 going to ever use that.
00:45:23.220 I think he'll just keep running this
00:45:24.680 proxy war with Russia without ever
00:45:26.140 actually declaring war.
00:45:29.720 They can use that to force Joe Biden to
00:45:32.720 negotiate with Russia and say, look, in
00:45:36.520 order to have an effective foreign
00:45:37.520 policy, you need strength and diplomacy.
00:45:39.840 And so far, the Biden administration did
00:45:42.260 the worst of all worlds, which is they
00:45:44.300 showed only diplomacy in the beginning
00:45:46.720 and is to the point of inviting Russia
00:45:48.460 to invade and no strength whatsoever
00:45:50.960 said we're not going to stop you from
00:45:52.260 invading and we're also going to take
00:45:54.120 the sanctions off Nord Stream 2.
00:45:55.580 And then once Putin invaded, they
00:45:56.960 completely flipped.
00:45:58.000 And now it's all strength in that
00:46:00.760 they're just funneling money into
00:46:02.660 Ukraine and fighting a proxy war and
00:46:05.960 in some cases escalating a proxy war with
00:46:07.600 Russia, but no diplomacy whatsoever.
00:46:10.260 So there's no off ramp.
00:46:11.320 There's no way to get out of it.
00:46:12.480 I mean, you think of the Cuban
00:46:13.500 missile crisis, there was the strength,
00:46:15.400 which was the blockade that Kennedy
00:46:16.740 wouldn't call a blockade around Cuba.
00:46:18.520 But then there was a ton of diplomacy,
00:46:19.840 which is actually what decided the
00:46:21.220 thing when they took the missiles out
00:46:22.940 of Turkey and when you had constant
00:46:25.240 contact between the US and Russia to
00:46:28.360 deescalate before the war.
00:46:29.540 So Republicans could play an important
00:46:30.940 role there as well because of the power
00:46:32.300 of the purse and at least in theory,
00:46:35.140 some power over the declaration of war.
00:46:38.900 Okay, now the old school mailbags.
00:46:41.320 Hello, Michael.
00:46:43.300 Usually arguments against infanticide
00:46:45.280 are easy to hold ground on.
00:46:47.780 But there's one related point that I'm
00:46:49.160 unsure of.
00:46:50.140 In cases of rape, mothers are morally
00:46:52.240 obligated to give birth to the child
00:46:54.160 because the unborn life still has value.
00:46:57.460 Does this imply that we are also morally
00:46:59.460 obligated to donate organs, say kidneys,
00:47:01.740 to those who would die without them,
00:47:03.380 since those lives also have value?
00:47:06.320 This line of thinking seems flawed,
00:47:08.280 but I haven't been able to come up
00:47:10.180 with a simple answer.
00:47:11.300 I'm interested in thoughts both from
00:47:12.820 a Catholic perspective and if applicable,
00:47:14.680 how I also might present an answer
00:47:16.400 an atheist might relate to more.
00:47:18.940 Thank you for everything that you do.
00:47:20.360 Love the show.
00:47:21.560 Sure.
00:47:21.860 Well, my answer, I think,
00:47:22.920 will satisfy both of those criteria,
00:47:25.680 which is, no, you are not morally
00:47:27.700 obligated to donate all of your organs
00:47:29.400 away to people.
00:47:30.820 Even the organs that you don't necessarily
00:47:33.060 need to function day to day.
00:47:36.220 You know, an extra kidney or something like that.
00:47:37.800 And the reason for this is not,
00:47:41.800 the question hinges not merely on the value
00:47:43.860 of the other person,
00:47:45.060 but it hinges on the purpose of organs.
00:47:49.920 Everything has a purpose, an end, a telos.
00:47:53.400 The end of the purpose of the Leftist Tears Tumblr
00:47:56.580 is to give me delicious, salty Leftist Tears.
00:47:59.400 The purpose of the microphone is to transmit
00:48:02.620 my dulcet tones into your ears.
00:48:05.580 And the purpose of my kidneys is to filter my blood.
00:48:10.160 The purpose of my lungs is to take in oxygen
00:48:13.800 and expel carbon dioxide.
00:48:16.860 Here is the crucial part.
00:48:18.620 The purpose of a woman's womb is to grow her baby.
00:48:23.900 The purpose of a placenta is to transmit nutrients
00:48:27.040 between the mother and the child.
00:48:30.800 And so, even from that perspective,
00:48:33.580 a woman does not have a right
00:48:35.960 to murder a child in the womb
00:48:37.420 for all sorts of reasons.
00:48:40.320 But in part because the womb is for the child.
00:48:43.580 And the mother has an obligation
00:48:46.400 to love that child
00:48:48.640 and to take care of that child.
00:48:51.340 That's part of her purpose.
00:48:54.940 And so, it's a purpose of the end of organs.
00:49:00.260 You can see that specifically,
00:49:01.280 or just like the end of all sorts of created things.
00:49:05.700 And more broadly,
00:49:06.900 you can see this in the very purpose of motherhood
00:49:10.580 as motherhood.
00:49:12.640 But people get very confused about that
00:49:14.360 because they don't understand
00:49:16.980 that the physical world could have,
00:49:19.920 you could derive metaphysical conclusions
00:49:22.020 from the physical world
00:49:23.000 because we become very stupid in modernity
00:49:25.300 and we just think in this really shallow,
00:49:27.820 materialistic kind of way,
00:49:29.020 which is very incoherent.
00:49:31.680 But I think that answer would be satisfying,
00:49:34.680 certainly from a Catholic perspective,
00:49:35.840 but also just from the perspective
00:49:37.060 of the natural law.
00:49:38.760 I mean, it would be satisfying
00:49:40.120 from the perspective of philosophy
00:49:41.800 from ancient Greece
00:49:43.860 all the way up until five minutes ago, basically.
00:49:46.440 Now, we get to
00:49:47.660 the much more philosophically
00:49:50.280 satisfying part of the show.
00:49:53.620 And, oh, I'm sorry,
00:49:54.380 physically satisfying part of the show.
00:49:55.820 That is when I kill Jake Crane.
00:49:58.520 That's right.
00:49:59.380 He lost the fantasy football game.
00:50:01.280 I won it.
00:50:01.880 Now he has to eat a poison chip
00:50:03.520 while I watch.
00:50:04.620 The rest of the show continues now.
