The Michael Knowles Show - Ep. 1115 - The Paul Pelosi Conspiracy Theory

00:00:00.000 Nancy Pelosi's husband, Paul, was attacked in the couple's home early Friday morning.

00:00:04.980 According to the liberal media, the assailant was a far-right Republican.

00:00:09.980 And this is just another episode in a years-long pattern of right-wing political violence

00:00:15.620 that threatens the very foundations of our sacred democracy.

00:00:20.880 But the facts that we know, few and hazy as they are, seem to raise some problems for this narrative.

00:00:26.060 For starters, the attacker is reportedly a nudist and hemp jewelry designer from Berkeley.

00:00:31.900 Not exactly the conservative stereotype.

00:00:35.260 Second, in the police dispatch recording, Paul Pelosi referred to the apparent stranger by name

00:00:40.980 and said that he was a friend of his.

00:00:44.480 Third, shouldn't the Speaker of the House of Representatives

00:00:48.060 and the second person in line of succession to the presidency have a couple security guards at the House?

00:00:54.460 At least some cameras and alarms?

00:00:57.500 It's certainly good news that Paul Pelosi is expected to make a full recovery.

00:01:01.400 But as far as I can tell, and despite the liberal media narrative,

00:01:05.460 that's the one and only thing that's certain about this story.

00:01:09.360 I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:01:18.220 Welcome back to the show.

00:01:19.420 My favorite comment yesterday, or on Friday rather, is from Mike Honcho,

00:01:24.240 who says, my mom voted Democrat in 2020 before she died, and now she will continue to. 0.97

00:01:30.480 I know, very spooky.

00:01:32.880 I hope that we don't have any spooky ghosts voting in the midterm elections next week.

00:01:38.560 I sort of fear that we might, but I certainly hope not.

00:01:42.280 In spooky Illinois and spooky Philadelphia,

00:01:45.800 for some reason, the dead people always seem to make it to the ballot box.

00:01:49.680 It's not great.

00:01:50.680 This Paul Pelosi story is really weird,

00:01:54.300 because although the initial report said that the assailant is this far-right,

00:02:00.040 ultra-maga, conservative, whatever, 0.99

00:02:02.640 his name is David DePap.

00:02:05.440 He's a Berkeley nudist and hemp jewelry designer.

00:02:09.820 He's a former member of the Green Party.

00:02:14.080 He, according to neighbors, is a, he's a, like a big lib.

00:02:22.060 He's either outside of the home that he was staying at,

00:02:24.500 there are pride flags and all sorts of other stuff.

00:02:28.480 And then according to the police dispatch video,

00:02:32.200 we've, or audio rather,

00:02:34.800 Paul Pelosi knew the guy.

00:02:39.820 He says, yeah, I'm somewhat confused.

00:03:01.140 So he says, he doesn't know the person,

00:03:03.820 but he said his name is David and he is a friend.

00:03:06.480 And so the, you hear the guy in the dispatch line,

00:03:08.800 yeah, I'm somewhat confused.

00:03:10.340 I think we're all somewhat confused.

00:03:13.240 Then according to reports,

00:03:14.560 an unidentified person let law enforcement into the Pelosi home.

00:03:18.960 That's kind of weird.

00:03:21.100 Then also, I know number of politicians

00:03:25.520 who are way less prominent and powerful than Nancy Pelosi. 1.00

00:03:29.680 And a lot of them have security guards at their homes,

00:03:34.460 especially around election time,

00:03:36.140 especially when threats are a little higher.

00:03:38.060 So it's pretty weird to me that there was no security whatsoever

00:03:41.060 at the home of the Speaker of the House.

00:03:44.720 Presumably, she's got some cameras.

00:03:46.680 Everybody's got security cameras now.

00:03:48.360 So if she does,

00:03:49.800 presumably that footage would be very, very helpful.

00:03:52.480 How did the guy get in in the first place?

00:03:53.860 I'm not saying that it can't happen.

00:03:57.620 The story, as is being reported in CNN,

00:04:01.980 it couldn't be totally legit

00:04:03.260 because some of the facts really don't add up at all.

00:04:04.880 It could be mostly legit, though.

00:04:06.100 I'm not saying it can't.

00:04:07.020 It's just that a lot of it doesn't really add up.

00:04:10.500 And so, as always, when this story broke,

00:04:12.560 there were two reactions.

00:04:15.060 There was the reaction of the really emotive kind of people.

00:04:21.900 I'm talking two reactions on the right,

00:04:23.680 the center and on the right,

00:04:25.280 where people rush.

00:04:26.920 They say, this is terrible.

00:04:27.840 This is awful.

00:04:28.640 The right-wingers have gone too far.

00:04:30.280 We need to get back to some semblance of civility in this country.

00:04:32.580 What's happened?

00:04:33.300 These far-right MAGA people.

00:04:34.600 And they just, they rush to judgment,

00:04:37.700 and they immediately buy the media narrative,

00:04:40.040 and they rush to condemn their own side, the right-wing.

00:04:43.340 They totally bought hook, line, and sinker 0.95

00:04:45.780 that this guy is a right-winger.

00:04:47.520 And that's one reaction.

00:04:48.600 And then there was the other reaction,

00:04:49.660 which is, wait for the details.

00:04:53.960 We know Paul Pelosi, we're told,

00:04:55.520 is he's going to make a good recovery.

00:04:57.460 Okay, great.

00:04:58.240 That's wonderful.

00:04:59.040 That's the good news.

00:05:00.280 Okay, now all the rest of it,

00:05:01.860 let's wait for the story to shake out.

00:05:03.940 And so, I am almost always in the latter camp.

00:05:06.560 I never rush right away to reaction with these stories.

00:05:10.620 And it's because I learned the lesson,

00:05:12.340 that the media always lie.

00:05:13.800 And especially right before election season,

00:05:16.080 the media really go into ultra-lying mode.

00:05:19.640 And so, you've just got to wait for that to shake out.

00:05:22.900 And I think the people who reacted right away and said,

00:05:27.420 no, this is the worst thing ever,

00:05:29.060 and this is obviously the Republicans,

00:05:30.500 and we've got to stop it, we need to get,

00:05:32.120 they just haven't learned that lesson.

00:05:34.140 They haven't learned the lesson to just chill out.

00:05:35.820 I remember during the Trump years,

00:05:37.180 this was a key issue.

00:05:39.180 You'd see some big headline, 0.71

00:05:40.320 Donald Trump eats babies.

00:05:41.860 And then there would be this rush by people, 0.97

00:05:43.760 even on the right, to say,

00:05:44.680 well, I condemn this, I disavow this, please.

00:05:46.780 This is not my party.

00:05:48.120 And you think, guys, you need the 24-hour rule, okay?

00:05:51.280 Because whatever the media are reporting,

00:05:53.320 that's almost a guarantee that it's not true

00:05:55.360 by the very fact that the media are reporting it.

00:05:58.900 And they're really pushing this narrative here.

00:06:01.220 Joe Biden said that the guy who went,

00:06:04.420 was it found in the Pelosi home,

00:06:06.600 is basically a January 6th insurrectionist.

00:06:12.500 You know, it's reported that the same chant

00:06:17.020 was used by this guy that they have in custody

00:06:20.580 that was used on January 6th

00:06:24.080 in the attacks on the U.S. Capitol.

00:06:25.760 I'm not making this up.

00:06:26.700 This isn't reported.

00:06:27.600 I can't guarantee it.

00:06:28.720 I can tell you what's being reported.

00:06:31.440 The chant was, where's Nancy? 0.57

00:06:34.420 Where's Nancy? 0.99

00:06:36.240 Where's Nancy? 0.99

00:06:38.860 This is despicable.

00:06:40.760 There's no place in America

00:06:43.260 there's too much violence, political violence,

00:06:47.520 too much hatred, too much vitriol.

00:06:51.840 Too much political violence, too much hatred.

00:06:54.140 This is the man who just gave a speech

00:06:55.700 in front of an infernal red backdrop

00:06:57.480 calling half the country fascists,

00:06:59.520 whose very existence poses a threat

00:07:02.080 to our sacred democracy,

00:07:03.520 who need to be completely written out of politics.

00:07:05.560 This is the man whose party

00:07:07.560 has not only called for,

00:07:09.720 but enacted political violence for years now,

00:07:12.380 which burned half the country down in 2020,

00:07:14.960 where Chuck Schumer,

00:07:16.020 and we're talking about major Democrats here,

00:07:17.740 Chuck Schumer called and said,

00:07:19.900 watch out, Justice Gorsuch.

00:07:21.640 Watch out, Justice Kavanaugh.

00:07:22.980 We're coming for you.

00:07:23.800 We're gonna unleash the whirlwind.

00:07:24.980 Hillary Clinton says,

00:07:25.900 you can't be civil with your political opponents.

00:07:28.040 Maxine Waters says,

00:07:29.020 you gotta push back on Republicans

00:07:30.360 when you find them in public spaces

00:07:32.140 and tell them they're not wanted here,

00:07:33.780 and then go to their homes

00:07:34.560 where their children sleep

00:07:35.460 and yell outside of their windows.

00:07:37.540 This is the Democrat party 0.94

00:07:38.820 that was protesting illegally

00:07:41.220 outside of the Supreme Court justice's homes

00:07:43.880 after they illegally leaked

00:07:45.680 the Supreme Court decision in the Dobbs case,

00:07:49.020 and then one of these people

00:07:50.100 went and tried to assassinate Brett Kavanaugh.

00:07:52.460 This is the party where,

00:07:53.900 after their foot soldiers went out

00:07:56.000 and burned things down

00:07:57.520 and killed people

00:07:58.540 and looted and rioted,

00:08:00.660 where the sitting vice president

00:08:02.120 of the United States right now,

00:08:03.720 Kamala Harris,

00:08:04.660 bailed them out of jail,

00:08:06.140 bailed the violent people out of jail,

00:08:07.580 and where staffers for Joe Biden himself

00:08:09.720 sent out that same bail link

00:08:11.780 to bail out the riders,

00:08:13.020 to get them back on the street,

00:08:14.080 to commit more violence against Republicans.

00:08:15.860 It's just complete BS.

00:08:18.140 It's so disingenuous.

00:08:19.660 I don't wanna hear a word from Joe Biden

00:08:21.400 on political violence.

00:08:22.840 And by the way,

00:08:23.560 in this case,

00:08:24.380 he's trying to pretend that the guy

00:08:26.120 who was found in Pelosi's home

00:08:27.680 in the middle of the night,

00:08:28.640 that he's some right-wing,

00:08:30.140 insurrectionist MAGA January 6th there.

00:08:32.660 Well, the neighbors of this guy

00:08:34.180 say that that story doesn't make any sense.

00:08:38.760 Okay, but so the last time you saw him

00:08:40.480 was a couple weeks ago.

00:08:41.500 Yeah.

00:08:42.100 And he was here for a few days.

00:08:43.460 Yes.

00:08:44.180 Okay.

00:08:44.640 Anything strange about him

00:08:45.880 or anything that stood out?

00:08:47.280 There's something strange

00:08:47.960 about the whole household.

00:08:49.360 The entire household is very,

00:08:51.000 very strange.

00:08:51.840 How about him?

00:08:52.160 Um, uh,

00:08:53.900 he is birds of a feather with,

00:08:55.900 uh, akin to them.

00:08:57.220 So they are just,

00:08:59.980 you know, 0.99

00:09:00.760 nudist drug abusers 0.95

00:09:02.320 and that's who gravitates toward them. 0.97

00:09:05.640 And the children,

00:09:06.620 I'm sorry,

00:09:06.900 the children who live there,

00:09:07.680 they seem to be under age

00:09:08.640 or under 18.

00:09:10.240 I'm not sure how old they are.

00:09:11.720 Okay.

00:09:12.080 And Trisha, again,

00:09:12.600 what's the,

00:09:12.940 what do you say their politics are?

00:09:14.320 Um,

00:09:14.780 I'm not sure.

00:09:16.140 I would imagine that they're more left-leaning,

00:09:18.120 uh,

00:09:18.840 because of their support for,

00:09:21.560 uh,

00:09:22.400 um,

00:09:23.380 the gay community,

00:09:24.240 um,

00:09:25.400 and for,

00:09:26.920 uh,

00:09:27.600 I'm sorry,

00:09:28.380 for other people.

00:09:29.580 But,

00:09:29.860 uh,

00:09:30.320 it is,

00:09:31.880 uh,

00:09:32.600 now I'm not sure

00:09:33.300 what way they lean because.

00:09:35.540 Because they have the flag,

00:09:36.620 the LGBT flag with the flag.

00:09:38.300 Yeah.

00:09:38.360 Yeah.

00:09:38.460 Not exactly the portrait of the,

00:09:42.020 the January 6th or the MAGA Republican.

00:09:44.960 That,

00:09:45.420 that doesn't add up at all.

00:09:46.820 Then you add on to this,

00:09:48.160 the fact that Paul Pelosi has been in the news recently for his personal troubles.

00:09:53.540 Uh,

00:09:54.020 Paul Pelosi drunk drove his car and then crashed it.

00:09:57.520 And then they tried to bury this in the news,

00:09:59.260 but eventually it came out and he was eventually charged with it.

00:10:01.900 So all of that to say,

00:10:03.400 who knows,

00:10:03.700 this could be completely random.

00:10:05.780 Maybe this guy,

00:10:06.860 this,

00:10:07.080 this guy who was found in the Pelosi home did have a political change of heart.

00:10:10.360 Maybe he did consider himself right wing,

00:10:12.580 even though the rest of the story doesn't quite seem,

00:10:15.160 seem to point to that.

00:10:16.560 Maybe this,

00:10:17.580 maybe he was looking for Nancy Pelosi.

00:10:19.040 Maybe all of that is true.

00:10:21.040 But given,

00:10:22.960 given every single thing that we know about this incident and Paul Pelosi and the attacker and the

00:10:28.960 family and everything we can,

00:10:31.540 we can urge caution here.

00:10:33.540 I think that would be the responsible thing to do.

00:10:35.600 And especially knowing that the media lie about everything,

00:10:38.100 especially in the run up to elections,

00:10:40.240 the probably the safest and smartest bet here when you're looking at this story is to approach it

00:10:47.080 with a very healthy degree of skepticism and independent thought to try to figure out the

00:10:53.660 details ourselves.

00:10:54.600 Because right now they just don't add up.

00:10:57.060 But the one thing I think we can conclude from the story is that it's very important to protect your home,

00:11:02.840 which is why you got to check out Ring.

00:11:04.700 Head on over to ring.com.

00:11:21.400 Work,

00:11:22.020 school,

00:11:22.660 sports,

00:11:23.380 clubs.

00:11:53.860 very handy.

00:11:54.560 Head on over to ring.com to find out how you can live a little more stress-free

00:11:59.560 this season with a Ring product that is right for you.

00:12:02.660 That is ring.com.

00:12:04.500 I just don't want to hear one peep from Democrats on political violence.

00:12:08.920 All these Republicans,

00:12:09.880 they're committing political.

00:12:10.600 I don't want to hear one peep.

00:12:11.500 Republicans commit statistically zero political violence.

00:12:15.280 Democrats commit statistically all of the political violence in the country

00:12:18.740 and openly call for it and encourage it from the highest levels of political power. 1.00

00:12:23.620 And you're seeing right now a lot of them just look like such complete freaking hypocrites. 0.98

00:12:28.540 One of the greatest Twitter accounts is Defiant L's, 0.99

00:12:31.200 which just finds libs who engage in rank hypocrisy where they'll be saying one thing now,

00:12:40.720 you know,

00:12:41.600 we need to disavow political violence.

00:12:43.860 And then you look back even six months and they've got another tweet mocking some political

00:12:47.960 violence against conservatives.

00:12:50.020 So here's one.

00:12:50.740 There's a character who is just a social media personality.

00:12:53.680 I don't think he's ever done anything of note in his own life outside of the internet,

00:12:59.740 but he's become a, you know, kind of popular blue check on the left.

00:13:03.860 Brooklyn Dad Defiant.

00:13:06.080 And so Brooklyn Dad Defiant tweets out in response to the Pelosi attack,

00:13:12.460 the violent, heinous attack on Paul Pelosi,

00:13:15.020 the Speaker's husband needs to be denounced in the strongest possible terms by both sides.

00:13:19.440 He was attacked with a hammer, FFS.

00:13:24.300 Okay, yeah, yeah, sure.

00:13:26.160 That seems like a reasonable thing to say, right?

00:13:28.860 It does.

00:13:29.380 Yeah, you don't want anyone to be attacked,

00:13:30.940 even if the guy is married to the Wicked Witch from the West. 0.85

00:13:33.260 You don't want anyone to be attacked with a hammer in his home.

00:13:36.840 But then Brooklyn Dad Defiant tweeted out on May 12th, 2020,

00:13:40.600 I think Dr. Anthony Fauci could probably pick up where Rand Paul's neighbor left off

00:13:44.620 and nobody would mind at all.

00:13:47.540 But we need, come on, 0.97

00:13:48.900 you these awful Republicans, they make light of political violence.

00:13:53.000 We need to, on both sides, we need a return to civility. 0.96

00:13:55.720 Oh, yeah, the neighbor should have finished off Rand Paul.

00:13:57.960 By the way, you remember that?

00:13:59.060 No one even remembers that now.

00:14:00.220 We're all talking about the Paul Pelosi attack.

00:14:02.020 Rand Paul was attacked in his home.

00:14:04.380 The guy, the neighbor almost killed Rand Paul.

00:14:06.900 Rand Paul was in the hospital, broken ribs, all kinds.

00:14:09.780 I think he had a collapsed lung, if I'm remembering correctly.

00:14:13.120 Remember that?

00:14:13.740 No, that doesn't matter.

00:14:15.440 Remember when the Lib almost murdered Steve Scalise?

00:14:18.520 And Rand Paul, actually, on the congressional baseball field.

00:14:21.460 Remember that one?

00:14:22.780 Oh, no, that one, that's completely covered up.

00:14:25.740 All of the political violence against the conservatives gets covered up.

00:14:29.580 John Pavlovitz, who's a big Lib politico, he tweets out,

00:14:35.240 The attack on Paul Pelosi is the direct result of Fox News's and the GOP's purposefully irresponsible rhetoric.

00:14:41.960 It will continue to get worse.

00:14:43.260 And if it gets control of Congress, he clearly also doesn't quite understand how grammar works.

00:14:47.880 But that's okay.

00:14:48.620 We assume that the Libs are illiterate.

00:14:50.740 If it gets control of Congress, our nation will be unrecognizable. 0.99

00:14:55.220 We need to vote these monsters into oblivion.

00:14:57.300 Now, what does he tweet on May 13th, 2020?

00:15:02.120 There you have it.

00:15:02.920 I get Rand Paul's neighbor.

00:15:05.600 That irresponsible rhetoric.

00:15:07.220 By the way, have you heard any, have you heard one single Republican or conservative say,

00:15:11.280 Yeah, Paul Pelosi got what he deserved.

00:15:13.280 Yeah.

00:15:13.840 Get him again.

00:15:14.620 Bring a bigger hammer next time.

00:15:15.640 Have you heard any of that?

00:15:16.540 I haven't heard that.

00:15:17.020 All I've heard from conservatives, as always, is,

00:15:19.820 Oh, I hope he gets better.

00:15:20.700 That's okay.

00:15:21.100 That's good that he's safe.

00:15:22.220 You know, I might not agree with his politics, but he's a fellow human.

00:15:25.240 That's all I've heard.

00:15:26.620 That's not all I heard when they almost killed Rand Paul, though.

00:15:29.140 I heard the Libs celebrating and guffawing and cheering.

00:15:32.020 And then this is the funniest one of all.

00:15:35.320 Christine Pelosi.

00:15:37.000 Christine Pelosi, March 22nd, 2020.

00:15:39.260 Obviously, Christine Pelosi, the Pelosi's daughter, very upset that her father was attacked.

00:15:47.220 And then Christine Pelosi, March 22nd, 2020.

00:15:50.100 Rand Paul's neighbor was right.

00:15:51.640 Okay.

00:15:52.080 So there you have it.

00:15:53.120 I don't, I don't even care to do this game of, could you imagine if the shoe were on the other foot?

00:15:58.860 Could you imagine what the media would say?

00:16:00.400 Yeah, right. 0.99

00:16:00.980 Could you, if, if my aunt had testicles, she would be my uncle. 1.00

00:16:03.780 Could you imagine these hypotheticals that could never possibly happen? 0.99

00:16:08.200 Oh, yes.

00:16:08.740 Wouldn't, wouldn't, if everything were totally different, wouldn't things be totally different?

00:16:11.720 Yes.

00:16:12.020 I only, I only mention it to point out, you shouldn't take the bait.

00:16:16.080 Don't take the bait.

00:16:16.920 Don't let the libs pressure you into disavowing the right and conceding that our rhetoric actually has been a little.

00:16:24.200 And, you know, Trump's tweets have been a little edgy.

00:16:26.900 And no, no, no, not even close.

00:16:29.980 Not even close.

00:16:31.220 All of the violence is from the left, statistically.

00:16:34.300 None of the violence is from the right, statistically.

00:16:36.360 All of the heinous reactions to celebrate political violence from the left, virtually none of them from the right.

00:16:44.500 Move on.

00:16:45.440 We can just move on.

00:16:46.460 Say a prayer for Paul Pelosi that he recovers, which you've probably done already, and then move on, okay?

00:16:52.260 The smart Democrats understand this. 0.98

00:16:55.280 The smart Democrats understand that they are very weak on this issue and that they look like huge hypocrites. 0.97

00:17:01.820 And so what they're trying to do now is not just blame the Republicans. 0.96

00:17:06.460 I'm saying the smart Democrats.

00:17:07.800 There aren't a ton of those left in political office.

00:17:10.340 But they're not trying to say, this is all the Republicans' fault.

00:17:12.580 And this is, they're the ones pushing political violence because they remember BLM and they remember Antifa and they remember all of it.

00:17:17.780 So now what they're saying is, you know, look, it's happening a little bit on both sides.

00:17:25.720 Yes, I grant it's happening.

00:17:27.640 We've been irresponsible, the Democrats. 0.98

00:17:29.540 But the Republicans are just much, much worse.

00:17:33.380 And so this is what you're hearing from the head of DCCC.

00:17:35.540 This would be Sean Maloney.

00:17:37.440 He's a Democrat congressman.

00:17:39.100 He's an old Clinton guy.

00:17:40.840 Been a Democrat Party operative going back to the 90s.

00:17:45.520 He actually now represents my old district where I grew up.

00:17:49.420 I've worked on races against Sean Patrick Maloney.

00:17:52.480 Whatever you want to say about the guy, he is pretty intelligent.

00:17:54.920 He's trying to thread a needle right now, especially because he's in a district that has gone Republican before.

00:18:00.180 He could lose his seat.

00:18:01.260 The head of the Democrat congressional campaign committee could actually be booted out of Congress.

00:18:06.300 I think that would be the first time that that ever happened.

00:18:08.660 And so he's trying to walk this middle line.

00:18:10.680 And now he's saying, yes, maybe we have some responsibility.

00:18:15.560 But really, when you really think about it, it's mostly the Republicans.

00:18:18.480 What's different is when a president, for the first time in our history, says he was cheated out of the results when he knows that's a lie.

00:18:27.320 So let's let's not let's not let's not pretend for a minute that both sides have the same the same amount of accountability for for the loss of confidence in our elections.

00:18:36.460 One side has been out there for a couple of years now doing everything they can to pretend Joe Biden didn't win fair and square when he did.

00:18:45.060 And that's the difference.

00:18:46.200 Sure. One side has been out there for a couple of years now questioning our elections.

00:18:52.920 And the other side has been out there for a couple of decades now questioning our elections.

00:18:56.880 That's the difference, Sean.

00:18:58.560 The Republicans over the last couple of years, because Democrats rigged the 2020 election and it was the craziest election in our lifetime.

00:19:06.420 And in the weeks and months before the election, they changed all the election rules, in some cases illegally, in some cases in violation of a state constitution like in Pennsylvania.

00:19:14.900 And so the Republicans reacted to that and said, hey, you guys cheated.

00:19:17.980 And then the the libs actually went out in a very lengthy essay in Time magazine and said, here's how we rigged the election in 2020.

00:19:25.480 We're actually admitting that we did that.

00:19:27.080 So, yes, you're right.

00:19:28.080 For two years, conservatives have been questioning the legitimacy of our elections.

00:19:33.080 Democrats have been doing that for at least two decades.

00:19:35.360 More than two decades.

00:19:37.400 They did it with the 2000 election.

00:19:40.220 Some even did it with the 2004 election.

00:19:42.040 I'm talking about members of Congress.

00:19:43.920 Some they obviously did it with the 2016 election.

00:19:46.820 Hillary, as far as I can tell, still hasn't really conceded that election. 1.00

00:19:51.080 Stacey Abrams is still doing that with the 2018 election.

00:19:54.080 The list goes on and on.

00:19:56.140 So you're right.

00:19:56.700 You're right, Sean.

00:19:57.100 Let's not pretend that Republicans and Democrats share equal responsibility for denying elections and for reducing the trust that we have as Americans in our institutions.

00:20:07.380 Right.

00:20:07.780 The Democrats bear all the responsibility.

00:20:10.140 Republicans bear basically none of it at all.

00:20:13.640 It is all the Democrats' fault.

00:20:15.440 I don't want to sound reductionist or partisan or anything, but it's just a fact.

00:20:20.080 It's not even close.

00:20:20.880 You look at violence, it's not even close, the responsibility that the Democrats have for violence compared to the Republicans.

00:20:27.160 You look at election denial or whatever, on every measure, it's not even close.

00:20:32.540 Speaking of the liberals denying reality, there's that fellow Dylan Mulvaney. 0.97

00:20:40.380 Dylan Mulvaney is a transvestite sort of guy.

00:20:44.520 He has now become a major sensation in his own right. 0.83

00:20:52.700 He's interviewed the president, for goodness sakes.

00:20:55.740 And no one knew who he was before, I don't know, like two months ago.

00:20:59.660 And now he's everywhere.

00:21:01.460 And now he's getting corporate sponsorships.

00:21:05.540 And your kids are definitely seeing him.

00:21:07.700 And the guy is just on every screen everywhere.

00:21:09.900 And I think Dylan Mulvaney, actually, the silver lining of this transgender madness, Dylan Mulvaney is actually showing what lies at the root of not just the transgender issue, but so much of this modern chaos that we find ourselves in. 1.00

00:21:27.760 It was one Dylan Mulvaney video that proved this to me.

00:21:32.000 And it's the sort of thing, I'm going to have to show it to my family around Thanksgiving.

00:21:37.520 And, you know, I'm always so excited to prepare that Thanksgiving turkey.

00:21:40.980 But before I do that, I've got to call Cinch.

00:22:56.880 Dylan Mulvaney, the man who pretends to be a girl on social media, has gone corporate.

00:23:04.800 He's now shilling an ad for Instacart.

00:23:07.440 Note to self, never use Instacart again.

00:23:09.900 And in this advertisement for Instacart, I think he accidentally shows you what lies at the heart of basically all of our modern political problems.

00:23:20.000 Instacart that y'all can shop to get my dream sleepover experience.

00:23:27.460 Oh, speaking of, my order is here.

00:23:31.300 I have the delivery.

00:23:32.840 First things first, skincare.

00:23:34.920 And I'm warning you beforehand, I eat mostly junk food, but we're having a sleepover, so it's allowed.

00:23:42.080 Oh, it's hot.

00:23:43.680 It's hot.

00:23:44.240 I still have room in my dessert stomach, so we're having ice cream.

00:23:48.920 I think we start with prank calls and then put a finger down.

00:23:51.940 Then we'll go around and manifest all of our dreams and goals for the rest of the year.

00:23:55.980 Then a rom-com, and then we can paint our nails, and we're going to stay up all night long.

00:24:00.800 Visit the link in my bio to shop Dylan's Sleepover Essentials via Instacart now.

00:24:06.840 So everybody's focusing on, one, that this guy's now got a corporate sponsorship.

00:24:12.160 Yeah, that's one level of analysis.

00:24:15.780 Or they'll focus on, this guy, he's just doing a caricature of a sort of 90s sitcom gay man 0.98

00:24:23.620 or a ridiculous cartoon of what men think women are like. 0.98

00:24:28.120 And it's just, that's so offensive, and he's wearing women's face. 0.99

00:24:31.220 And this is, okay, that's another level of analysis.

00:24:33.720 That's not what caught my attention.

00:24:35.640 One word caught my attention in that video.

00:24:39.440 Manifest.

00:24:40.660 Did you hear that?

00:24:41.320 In between the popcorn and the rom-com, and he said, we're going to manifest our futures together.

00:24:47.920 We're going to manifest our destinies.

00:24:49.340 And then we're going to do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do.

00:24:51.500 Or manifest our, not manifest destiny.

00:24:53.340 That would be pretty cool, actually.

00:24:54.680 We're going to manifest our dreams and desires.

00:24:59.060 That word manifest is the language of New Age occultism.

00:25:04.660 It's a very weird kind of demonic idea that you can make yourself into a sort of a god and make demands on God himself and demands on the entire universe and that it will just happen.

00:25:18.920 This is what you see in that book The Secret and in lots of kind of weird new agey self-help Oprah kind of stuff is this idea that you're really a divine, you're the divine spirit.

00:25:32.220 And if you just believe enough in your own power and the power of your consciousness and your energy, you can make the universe do whatever you want.

00:25:42.420 And it's a cult and it's demonic.

00:25:44.560 And it made me realize, oh, you know what all of this is about?

00:25:49.360 You know what all of this is about?

00:25:50.940 It's not about the second wave feminists. 1.00

00:25:53.680 And it's not about the rise of this particular ideology at this particular time.

00:25:57.720 It's not about, you know, the critical theory department of the, you know, it's, you know what it's about?

00:26:04.000 It's because people aren't getting baptized.

00:26:08.260 I know Media Matters is going to clip this out.

00:26:11.060 Good, I hope you do clip this out because I want people to hear this.

00:26:15.440 Why is the world getting so insane right now?

00:26:19.620 I think once you get past all the layers of the economic analysis and the political, ideological, you know, it's because public religion is on the decline.

00:26:28.140 People are not getting baptized.

00:26:29.780 And so they're not, during baptism, during the traditional rite of baptism, three exorcisms are performed on the person being baptized.

00:26:37.280 To cast out the demons that prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls because this is a very fallen world.

00:26:43.320 And this is a wonderful thing.

00:26:45.740 And then you get the demons cast out of you and you don't need to worry about this stuff as much anymore.

00:26:49.280 Well, now people aren't being baptized and the demons are just running amok.

00:26:52.860 This stuff, the Dylan Mulvaney stuff, the transgender stuff, it's just demonic. 1.00

00:26:57.000 Think about furries. 0.78

00:26:58.500 Have you heard of furries?

00:26:59.580 You know, furries are these people who have this weird sexual fetish where they think that they're basically possessed by the spirits of animals. 0.75

00:27:08.920 That's just demons.

00:27:09.580 What would you, if you went back in a time machine, 500 years, and you were talking to ye olde Johnny Smith down the street.

00:27:18.780 And you said, oh, hi there, Mr. Smith.

00:27:20.840 Yeah, I'm from the future and I'm actually, I'm something called a furry.

00:27:25.020 He says, what's a furry, lad?

00:27:26.320 And I don't know, I don't know why he's Irish. 1.00

00:27:28.320 And you say, oh, furry.

00:27:29.660 Well, you see, I am actually, I know I look like a human, but I'm actually the spirit of an animal.

00:27:35.980 And that's really what animates me.

00:27:37.560 And so I'm really a chipmunk, and that's my true spirit.

00:27:41.180 He'd look at you, probably a little wacky, and he'd say, oh, you're possessed by a demon, laddie.

00:27:45.280 You know, go get down to the local priest and get exorcised. 0.54

00:27:48.020 These people who say that not only are they one gender, but there are multiple genders in their heads.

00:27:54.640 We've played these clips on the show of people who say, I've got these head mates, these head partners, and there are all these different personalities in my head.

00:28:01.660 So one day I'm a boy, one day I'm a girl, depending on who's kind of in control of my body.

00:28:05.580 What do you call that?

00:28:06.120 It's just demons, man.

00:28:07.440 It's just demons.

00:28:09.400 And I know that people are going to look at me like I'm crazy when I say that.

00:28:14.400 But what is crazier?

00:28:16.600 Because for all of human history, every single place in the world, including in Christendom and every pagan culture everywhere forever,

00:28:24.060 everyone has had some sense that there is not only a physical world but a spiritual world,

00:28:28.860 and that some spirits are good and some spirits are bad, and the bad spirits are demons, and they do weird stuff to humanity. 0.98

00:28:36.040 Okay, everyone for all of human history has thought that until about five minutes ago in our stupid atheist civilization. 0.58

00:28:41.720 And now, our explanation for these phenomena is that actually boys can secretly be girls, and sometimes people actually are animated by the spirits of chipmunks, 0.94

00:28:53.020 and that actually if you believe enough in your consciousness and your energy, you can make the universe bend toward your specific will through manifesting,

00:29:02.160 through the secret and the Oprah book club and some of the most popular media out there.

00:29:05.920 Which is crazier?

00:29:09.280 Obviously, the modern stuff is crazier.

00:29:13.240 I know that it seems like really simplistic political analysis to say that the cure for these problems is to just go and get baptized.

00:29:22.660 But that is, if people, why did this stuff go away in the Middle Ages?

00:29:26.320 In ancient pagan cultures, you had furries.

00:29:28.660 Okay, in ancient pagan cultures, you had something akin to transgenderism and people just feeling that they were possessed by all sorts of spirits.

00:29:35.920 Why did it largely go away throughout Christendom?

00:29:40.360 I know the atheists and the liberals and the rationalists are not going to believe me.

00:29:44.160 It's because people were baptized and because the demons were not allowed to run amok.

00:29:48.720 But they are now, and that's very bad, and we should strongly discourage it.

00:29:54.560 Okay, Dylan Mulvaney, he definitely needs a psychologist, but more than that even, he really needs a priest.

00:30:02.660 Speaking of casting out demons, the new chief twit, the new head of Twitter, Elon Musk, has reportedly had Tesla engineers lock down the Tesla software code. 0.90

00:30:16.520 So he comes in, he's carrying his sink into Twitter headquarters, and he takes over, and he decapitates the Twitter leadership, and he fires the CEO, Prag Agrawal, and he fires that awful woman who censored Donald Trump.

00:30:29.600 And he fires the head legal counsel, sends them all packing, and then, according to reports, he locks the Twitter engineers out of the code, which is a really good sign because that means that his own engineers can go in and audit it and see what is going on with the algorithm.

00:30:46.520 Since Elon Musk took over, you have maybe noticed, if you're on Twitter, a spike in your followers.

00:30:52.660 And for those of us who are in the media or in politics, where we have, just by virtue of our jobs, we have bigger follower counts, I think I've gained something like 50,000 followers since Elon Musk took over.

00:31:04.420 So clearly something is going on at Twitter right now.

00:31:08.060 Every conservative, just about, is seeing a spike, at least a relative spike, in not only follows but also engagement.

00:31:14.940 So what is going on?

00:31:17.220 Yeah, we know that the libs had their thumb on the scales. 1.00

00:31:20.660 They had their boot on the scales, and they were tilting the public square against conservatives, against what normal people want, in favor of these lunatics, in favor of people like Dylan Mulvaney and transgenderism and open borders and the Democrats.

00:31:33.820 All of which, the issues and the people, have very low public approval ratings, but nonetheless are disproportionately promoted on Twitter.

00:31:42.380 And then they partner with these fake fact-checking websites, like Snopes and PolitiFact, which just publish left-wing opinion pieces as though they're the gospel truth.

00:31:51.060 And then based on those left-wing opinion pieces, they censor conservatives on issues like COVID, on issues like the elections, and so forth.

00:31:57.200 So, and they do this all, obviously, with the support of the establishment media, which just got totally trolled by conservatives, specifically with regard to Twitter.

00:32:07.180 Take a listen to this interview with apparently fired Twitter employees outside of headquarters.

00:32:12.440 I mean, if free speech is, you know, Nazis saying that, you know, trans women shouldn't, you know, use women's locker rooms, then awesome, I guess, mission accomplished. 1.00

00:32:27.020 We'll see.

00:32:28.140 Listen, I gotta touch base with my husband and wife.

00:32:30.480 I gotta get out of here, all right?

00:32:31.380 Thank you, guys.

00:32:33.500 Listen, I've gotta go touch base with my husband and wife.

00:32:36.260 I gotta get out of here.

00:32:37.040 That man introduced himself as Daniel Johnson and presented himself to the media as a fired Twitter engineer.

00:32:44.620 There was another guy who did this, his friend Rahul Ligma.

00:32:48.580 And so the two guys together would be Ligma and Johnson, Ligma Johnson.

00:32:55.060 And the media totally fell for it.

00:32:58.240 The story here, the story here is not that these guys are trolls and they had a funny line.

00:33:02.780 The real story here is that the media aired that segment.

00:33:05.060 The real story here is that the media were duped by these guys.

00:33:10.600 Even that phrase, okay, I gotta go see my husband and wife now.

00:33:14.220 The media are so, so far gone in leftist ideology, they probably didn't even bat an eyelash at that statement.

00:33:23.980 Every normal person is doubled over laughing at that.

00:33:27.300 That's so freaking funny.

00:33:28.440 But because it's actually not so far off from the left's insane ideology, they went along with it.

00:33:35.420 The real takeaway from that stunt is that, as we have seen time and time again, the people, the great bulk of the people, have much, much, much more common sense.

00:33:47.480 They have common sense and the liberal ruling class does not.

00:33:54.020 You know, we launched Jeremy's Razors just a few months ago.

00:33:56.760 We've already taken millions of dollars away from woke razor companies that hate you and use that money to better support what you believe in.

00:34:04.920 But the time has come for Jeremy's Razors to look inward and conduct a totally legit, not at all hollow or contrived DEI audit of ourselves.

00:34:12.500 So here it is.

00:34:14.000 Are Jeremy's Razors diverse?

00:34:15.860 No.

00:34:16.780 The Razors are great.

00:34:18.240 We don't need to make different ones.

00:34:19.780 Are Jeremy's Razors equitable? 0.95

00:34:21.120 Well, yes.

00:34:21.720 When you buy a founder's kit, equity is transferred away from your pocket and into Jeremy's.

00:34:26.900 And lastly, are Jeremy's Razors inclusive?

00:34:30.220 Well, of course they are.

00:34:31.620 They include blades.

00:34:32.400 So there you have it.

00:34:33.440 Jeremy's Razors is now DEI, self-accredited, and still the only razor brand that actually upholds virtue instead of merely signaling it.

00:34:42.280 Today, you can get 40% off your Founders Series Shave Kit when you go to jeremysrazors.com.

00:34:47.180 That's jeremysrazors.com.

00:34:50.400 Speaking of a lack of common sense, a Starbucks employee has gone viral for whining in the back room about how tough the job is.

00:35:04.580 People wonder why we need a union at Starbucks, and I am literally about to quit.

00:35:15.280 Like, I don't know if I'm going to do it, but, like, I really want to.

00:35:18.140 I almost walked out today, and I'm crying in the back room right now, and I almost cried on the floor.

00:35:22.480 It's just, like, I'm, like, a full-time student.

00:35:27.360 I get scheduled for 25 hours a week, and then on weekends, they schedule me the entire day open to close up on the schedule for eight and a half hours, both Saturday and Sunday.

00:35:37.180 I'm, like, three and a half hours into my shift, there's so many customers, and we have four people on the floor all day.

00:35:45.540 And then people are yelling at me because I don't have their orders ready, and they don't know what to do.

00:35:50.600 And a customer was misgendering me tonight, like, really badly.

00:35:54.620 I didn't have their order ready, and so they were just, like, totally talking to each other, and they're like, she's clearly incompetent. 1.00

00:36:00.440 I have a full mustache and beard. 0.99

00:36:05.080 What the f***? 0.99

00:36:06.080 I don't get accommodations for being neurodivergent. 0.99

00:36:10.520 I only got my wits out with this job.

00:36:14.600 Ever since he brought up the issue of misgendering, I actually don't know.

00:36:18.840 I don't know what gender he is.

00:36:20.100 So I'll use he, which is the gender-neutral singular pronoun.

00:36:23.940 He's very upset because he has to work sometimes 25 hours a week.

00:36:28.960 Sometimes he has to work a full shift.

00:36:32.040 A full shift being eight and a half hours.

00:36:36.080 How many people only work eight hours a day?

00:36:41.360 Even maybe you work eight hours a day at your job.

00:36:44.660 But then, I know very few people who can get by working just eight hours a day, or even who want to only work eight hours a day.

00:36:54.660 I'm being told, by the way, by the producers, that the video is of a woman who, I guess, is taking hormones.

00:37:02.820 It was a little tough to tell because it's so zoomed in tight on her face that you can't quite get a picture of the whole body and height and everything to see what sex she is. 1.00

00:37:14.960 So she's obviously a troubled person. 0.97

00:37:18.980 She's obviously got a severe mental illness. 0.98

00:37:21.240 She probably should be in a therapist's office rather than trying even to work a job. 0.99

00:37:27.380 She's obviously not capable of working a job. 1.00

00:37:29.340 But it actually raises a lesson for all of us in society, not just the ones who are kind of crazy and think we're the opposite sex and the spoiled snowflake young people who never had to work a tough job in their life or whatever.

00:37:45.180 For all of us, we have a lesson here.

00:37:48.220 This woman should be very thankful to Starbucks for presenting her with hardship and giving her an opportunity to mature and giving her an opportunity to do a difficult thing. 0.85

00:38:01.540 Working at Starbucks actually is a difficult job.

00:38:03.460 I've worked in fast food.

00:38:05.520 I've worked in restaurants.

00:38:06.460 I've worked plenty of service jobs.

00:38:08.540 It can be very tough.

00:38:09.740 It's very demanding.

00:38:10.560 Customers can be tough.

00:38:11.360 You've got to do things a mile a minute, especially at the lunch rush or the afternoon coffee rush.

00:38:14.900 So, yeah, I'm sure it's a tough job.

00:38:16.560 And the main thing, the main takeaway that this young lady should find in this year is to stop complaining. 0.98

00:38:27.260 Stop complaining.

00:38:28.540 It is such a gift for everybody in life to face hardship and then not complain and suffer in silence and cultivate a spirit of resignation and patience and fortitude.

00:38:44.900 All of which are virtues that are completely forgotten in our, I'm getting so angry I'm going to throw my microphone off here, that are completely forgotten in our decadent modern culture.

00:38:55.260 It's really, it's wonderful.

00:38:57.160 That will make you a stronger person.

00:38:59.020 It will make you a better person.

00:39:00.160 It will make you a holier person if you do that.

00:39:03.440 You don't need to whine about every problem.

00:39:07.340 In fact, you should never whine ever about anything.

00:39:12.500 You can engage in criticism, especially if that criticism can be effective.

00:39:18.080 I mean, that's what this show is, right?

00:39:19.220 We're criticizing the modern culture, but not, we're not criticizing it from the perspective of, wah, wah, wah, things are so bad right now.

00:39:25.560 I hate it.

00:39:26.200 Isn't this a terrible world?

00:39:27.080 No, quite the opposite.

00:39:28.020 We're saying, this is what's bad.

00:39:29.380 Here's how we got to fix it.

00:39:30.500 This is what we got to stop doing.

00:39:31.600 This is what we got to start doing.

00:39:32.780 Here is, this is, this is not working as well as it should right now.

00:39:35.720 Here's a better policy to put in its place.

00:39:37.540 That's, that's a wonderful thing.

00:39:39.140 Fixing things is a wonderful thing.

00:39:41.360 But, but whining and complaining and saying, woe is me.

00:39:44.200 You should never say that.

00:39:45.580 Excise that from your vocabulary because we all make fun of that chick at Starbucks. 1.00

00:39:51.660 We are all, we have all been that chick at some point in our lives.

00:39:55.280 We have, especially me because I can't really grow a beard that well.

00:39:58.360 So, you know, it's, it's pretty patchy actually.

00:40:00.720 We're not so different, she and I, especially today that I'm in my Rachel Maddow costume for Halloween.

00:40:05.720 But we have all been that chick at some point.

00:40:09.340 And then I hope most of us have grown up and learned to not, we're living in a time when we're told don't repress anything.

00:40:16.980 Don't, no, you've got to let it all out.

00:40:18.460 You've just got to talk, don't talk about your feelings.

00:40:20.180 When, when you complain, when you whine, you put burden on other people.

00:40:25.180 You, there's a study about this.

00:40:26.620 There was a study, it just came, I just saw this in the Drudge Report.

00:40:28.860 So, you know, take it with a grain of salt.

00:40:31.060 But it's citing real academics here that stress spreads like a virus from people to people.

00:40:38.100 The neuroscientist Tom, Tony W. Buchanan, who's a professor at St. Louis University, measured the response of people who were simply observing stress in others.

00:40:48.460 And he found that the observer's cortisol levels spiked via a phenomenon known as stress contagion, the spread of stress from person to person like a virus.

00:40:56.960 And we all know, anecdotally, that this is true.

00:40:58.840 We all know that this is true.

00:41:02.840 Because if you've ever had a sort of difficult relative or, you know, a friend who's just constantly whining about everything, you know, it puts you on edge as well. 0.96

00:41:11.240 And I wonder too, as I say, the chief cause of all of our ills in the modern age is not some political philosopher or some government bureaucrat or some stupid policy or something. 0.62

00:41:20.420 It's that people are not getting baptized and so demons are running amok because we don't have enough exorcisms going on. 0.98

00:41:26.000 It's just a fact, okay?

00:41:26.980 We say hard facts on this show.

00:41:28.480 That's one of them.

00:41:29.500 But another cause of so much of the disorder, I wonder, if it's because we have these social media feeds, the feeds, right?

00:41:37.800 We're just constantly feeding ourselves like horses with a slot bag on, except we're feeding ourselves images and audio and videos and things like that.

00:41:46.640 And so much of that content is really angry, stressful content where it's, you know, the transgender person yelling and screaming and, you know, or it's the, even people on the right often do this. 0.73

00:41:56.680 I sometimes fear that I will, I will never have a career in political commentary.

00:42:01.040 I guess I do have one, but in the long run, because I can't get angry.

00:42:06.160 I get angry like twice a year.

00:42:08.320 And most political commentary is someone sort of just shaking their fist at the screen or yelling into a microphone.

00:42:14.640 I just can't do that.

00:42:15.580 I'm not that angry.

00:42:16.600 I'm dismayed at the state of the world.

00:42:18.740 I would like to turn things around.

00:42:20.160 I got some ideas on how to do that, because it's just rude to be angry and whining and complaining all the time.

00:42:29.280 And it shows that you're not in control of your emotions, and it shows that you haven't cultivated a higher will, and it shows that you're still given to your base passions.

00:42:36.040 Don't do it.

00:42:37.020 Don't be like that chick at Starbucks, folks. 0.99

00:42:39.220 Let me yell that into the microphone. 0.97

00:42:40.360 Don't be like that chick at Starbucks, because it will make you very unhappy, and it will make the people around you very unhappy as well.

00:42:46.840 Now, speaking of whining, Penguin Random House is potentially going to cancel a book that they're doing with Amy Coney Barrett.

00:42:58.040 Why on earth would a major publisher cancel a book that is written by a justice on the Supreme Court?

00:43:03.800 Well, because hundreds of Penguin Random House staffers and other literary professionals feel that it's wrong for Penguin to publish her book.

00:43:12.720 They say, this is not just a book that we disagree with, and we are not calling for censorship.

00:43:18.520 Many of us work daily with books we find disagreeable to our personal politics.

00:43:22.920 Rather, this is a case where a corporation has privately funded the destruction of human rights with obscene profits.

00:43:31.380 Coney Barrett is free to say as she wishes, but Penguin Random House must decide whether to fund her position at the expense of human rights

00:43:37.400 in order to inflate its bottom line or to truly stand behind the values it proudly espouses to hold.

00:43:45.860 What are they saying?

00:43:46.520 They're saying it's because of Dobbs.

00:43:47.980 It's because the Supreme Court said that there's no constitutional right to kill hundreds of thousands of babies a year,

00:43:53.180 which is obviously the case.

00:43:54.860 And, you know, the states now can decide whether they want to kill babies or not.

00:43:58.320 They're saying this is a violation.

00:43:59.360 Penguin Random House is funding the obliteration of human rights.

00:44:03.340 So, one, the book is obviously happening after the Dobbs decision.

00:44:07.900 So, they're just even getting their timeline wrong.

00:44:10.220 They wouldn't be funding.

00:44:11.260 And Amy Coney Barrett gets a very nice salary as a federal judge. 0.95

00:44:13.920 So, it's not funding any sort of decision.

00:44:16.320 But what this is about, this is about an idea that the left has promulgated in recent years,

00:44:22.400 which is everything I don't like is a violation of human rights.

00:44:27.060 Everything I don't like, it needs to be booted from the public square.

00:44:31.300 It can't even be discussed.

00:44:32.180 It's a violation of human rights.

00:44:35.460 And they use human rights to describe everything.

00:44:38.020 Truly, everything that they want is a human right. 0.99

00:44:41.100 Getting your genitals lopped off because you have a fantasy. 0.99

00:44:43.520 That's now a human right. 0.99

00:44:45.120 Forget about 10 years ago, 15 years ago, they would say health care is a human right.

00:44:49.220 Again, I don't know exactly what that means.

00:44:51.020 But now they've taken it truly to the realm of the absurd, 0.98

00:44:53.860 where they're saying lopping off my genitals is a human right and getting you to pay for it. 1.00

00:44:57.700 And killing my baby, that's a human right. 1.00

00:44:59.960 And so what's the cure for this? 0.96

00:45:02.340 Because in a world where everything is a human right, then nothing is a human right.

00:45:07.760 And you can claim that anything is a human right if you like it.

00:45:10.220 Then that phrase doesn't have any meaning.

00:45:11.760 What is the cure for this?

00:45:15.300 The cure for this is changing our perspective on the law.

00:45:18.180 And even conservatives are going to have to change our perspective on the law.

00:45:21.360 Right now, the libs view the law as just a weapon to wield, to attack their political opponents.

00:45:27.940 And the right tends to view the law in this really reductionist way,

00:45:33.540 which is just the law is exactly what is written in the text of the Constitution or the text of the statute.

00:45:38.780 Forgetting all sorts of context.

00:45:40.580 Forgetting the debates that led up to the enactment of that law.

00:45:42.900 And forgetting, most importantly, the underlying principles of justice and the natural law that undergird the positive law.

00:45:51.280 And you see this especially in the way that conservatives now call ourselves originalists and especially textualists.

00:45:58.760 No, the cure for this is to view the law not as just a bunch of random preferences that we can enshrine in a statute,

00:46:07.000 but as an objective reality that we can know and discover through the use of our reason.

00:46:13.080 Because the civil law derives from the general principles of the natural law.

00:46:21.140 We know that it is wrong to commit murder, not just because there's a federal law against it or a state law against it,

00:46:27.840 but because that is a fact of the objective moral order that we can know.

00:46:31.820 Because it is within the natural law, we can know that through the use of our reason.

00:46:37.240 I think we've got to become much, much more confident of that moral view.

00:46:42.500 Yet again, this comes back to conservatives need to ditch the you-do-you kind of skepticism.

00:46:47.940 Who really knows what's good or bad?

00:46:50.900 Your good might be my bad and my bad.

00:46:52.640 No, we've got to ditch that nonsense.

00:46:54.400 There is such a thing as good.

00:46:55.380 There is such a thing as bad.

00:46:56.220 We can know quite a lot about that through our reason and our moral conscience.

00:46:59.740 And we need to be able to articulate that and enforce it through the law.

00:47:03.280 It's the only way out of the lib saying, wah, wah, wah, everything I want is a human right.

00:47:08.440 And conservatives have basically nothing to say to that these days.

00:47:12.000 Unless we can acknowledge, no, there is an objective reality.

00:47:14.900 We can perceive it.

00:47:16.300 And we are going to enforce that through the law.

00:47:19.420 Now, you know, today, enough about the law.

00:47:21.540 Today is Music Monday, baby.

00:47:23.380 And so my producers assure me they've got a wonderful song for me to listen to,

00:47:27.000 to analyze, because I am a hip-hop maven.

00:47:29.560 The rest of the show continues now.
