00:00:37.540 In recent years, some people have peddled an insane conspiracy theory called the Great Replacement,

00:00:44.580 which is the notion that our political elite has for decades intentionally wielded our nation's

00:00:51.040 immigration policy to replace the American people with foreigners. The sort of people who peddle 1.00

00:00:57.060 this theory, according to the liberal media, are lunatics, and racists, and Nazis, and now, 0.99

00:01:04.740 apparently, Chuck Schumer. 0.93

00:01:06.660 Now more than ever, we're short of workers. We have a population that is not reproducing it on its own

00:01:14.920 with the same level that it used to. The only way we're going to have a great future in America

00:01:20.320 is if we welcome and embrace immigrants, the dreamers, and all of them. Because our ultimate goal

00:01:25.840 is to help the dreamers, but get a path to citizenship for all 11 million or however many

00:01:30.920 undocumented there are here. So when conservatives say the exact same thing that Chuck Schumer just said,

00:01:39.920 it is a racist and ridiculous conspiracy theory. When Chuck Schumer says it, it's a moral and necessary

00:01:47.260 process that we have to speed up because Americans are not having children. Now, I'm no expert. I don't 0.84

00:01:55.980 have an advanced degree in political science. I'm not a US senator. But wouldn't another solution to

00:02:03.280 this problem, instead of importing millions of foreign nationals each year in violation of the law and the

00:02:08.820 will of the American people, be perhaps instead to stop enforcing national policies that discourage

00:02:16.840 Americans from having babies? Couldn't we do that? Schumer is saying that our nation, which just

00:02:24.680 coincidentally subsidizes abortion, discourages marriage, celebrates sexual dysfunction, exalts 0.63

00:02:31.260 contraception, forces women into the workplace, suppresses wages through mass migration, suppresses

00:02:36.620 religion, and undermines the family, is apparently not having enough kids. Who'd have thunk it? So strange. 0.98

00:02:44.000 I think I might have some solutions to that problem. But the libs don't want to fix that problem 1.00

00:02:50.720 because the libs don't want Americans to have more kids because the libs don't like Americans and they 1.00

00:02:57.720 don't like America and they want to fundamentally transform this country. And they are well on their

00:03:03.560 way to doing just that. You're just not allowed to say it. I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael

00:03:09.120 Knowles Show. I just don't know why we're not having enough kids. Why is it? I mean, all of our policies

00:03:21.920 are designed to discourage people from having kids. Why won't we have kids? So strange. My favorite

00:03:26.540 comment yesterday is from Moose Chuckle. What a name. Who says, I honestly think Trump's speech was the

00:03:32.000 best one he's done. Biggest complaint, even of those who support him, is his brash nature and his

00:03:39.280 mouth. He was energetic, direct, and focused, all without being a complete jerk. Yeah, I think that's 1.00

00:03:44.860 true. That was obviously the strategy going into the speech. I guess I'm just in the minority

00:03:49.480 because I like brash Trump. That is my favorite Trump. I like clear, bold, brash,

00:04:01.120 takes no prisoners Trump. I like it when Trump is Trump. I get it. That might not play well with,

00:04:08.800 I don't know, moderates or centrists or the suburban people or whatever. So maybe Trump did what he had

00:04:15.400 to do. I'm not knocking him. I think the speech obviously was strategic. My favorite Trump is the

00:04:23.680 Trump who, when he is confronted in the debate by Megyn Kelly, and she says, you've said terrible

00:04:28.820 things about women. You've called them fat and ugly and all these terrible things. And he cuts her off 0.99

00:04:33.100 and he says, only Rosie O'Donnell. That's my favorite Trump, okay? The Trump who just, you can't

00:04:39.380 believe what he's saying. It so breaks the rules of our political status quo. But I might be in the

00:04:45.120 minority. Trump might be doing the right thing. He's trying to protect his campaign so that he 0.87

00:04:48.860 can protect the country. We've got to protect our homes and our communities. That's why you've got

00:05:51.120 is right for you. That is ring.com slash collections slash offers. Get real tough these days to figure

00:05:58.680 out what the difference is between a conspiracy theory and the truth. The left-wing media have screamed at us

00:06:06.880 until they are blue in the face that the Great Replacement is a horrible, racist, anti-Semitic,

00:06:13.960 all the isms kind of conspiracy theory. And then Chuck Schumer comes out and describes the Great

00:06:21.080 Replacement in precise terms and says it's a wonderful thing and it is happening and we need more of it.

00:06:28.020 So what is it? It got even crazier. I just noticed this in a post from Clown World Today,

00:06:34.840 one of my favorite social media accounts, which I looked it up for myself. If you go to the video

00:06:40.360 from the World Government Summit, it's a World Government Summit video and it says,

00:06:47.040 are we ready for a new world order? And this is from this year's, the 2022 World Government Summit.

00:06:54.920 Here is just a little clip of what they are discussing in the video.

00:06:58.000 Your Excellency, are you ready for a new world order?

00:07:06.080 I think, Becky, the main problem is if you think of the technology.

00:07:13.600 Goes on and on and on. Here's how we're going to have the new world order. I'm on the panel about

00:07:17.960 the new world order asking, are we ready for the new world order at the World Government Summit

00:07:21.900 to create a new world order? And yet, on the video, YouTube has put a disclaimer.

00:07:28.180 YouTube has said, the new world order is a conspiracy theory. The new world order is a

00:07:33.200 wild, crazy conspiracy theory which hypothesizes a secretly emerging totalitarian world government.

00:07:41.720 It's not secretly emerging. I'm watching the video of the summit that just took place this year

00:07:48.700 that uses the exact language that you were telling me is a conspiracy theory. These libs have got to

00:07:54.220 get better control over their messaging because out of one side of their mouth, they're saying that

00:07:58.760 their plans are a conspiracy theory. Out of the other side of their mouth, they are actively campaigning

00:08:02.960 for it on the open stage. Just a reminder, just a reminder that when you hear that phrase conspiracy

00:08:12.840 theory, assume that the person who is using it, if they're using it in earnest, assume that they are

00:08:19.260 not making an argument in good faith. That is just a phrase to shut up opponents. The phrase didn't even

00:08:25.860 appear in the English language really until the middle of the 20th century. It didn't really take off until

00:08:31.080 the latter part of the 20th century. It's a phrase, just like so many left-wing phrases, that is designed

00:08:39.880 not to convey some truth, but to deceive you, to shut you up. It's the kind of phrasing that we see

00:08:46.060 out of political correctness. They put the disclaimer on the official verified channel for

00:08:53.060 the World Government Summit about the new world order. Speaking of the world order and conspiracy

00:08:59.100 theories, two days ago, a missile hit Poland. And I didn't cover it on the show yesterday because

00:09:08.000 we were in the fog of war and I did not believe the media reports about the missile. And I'm glad

00:09:14.240 I didn't believe them because my hunch was right. The missile hits Poland. We were instantly told this

00:09:19.380 is a Russian missile. Russia has attacked a NATO member state. This triggers Article 5. We need to 0.69

00:09:27.500 send the bombers over to Moscow now. We're in World War III, baby. Let's do it. This was the kind of talk

00:09:33.100 that was egged on by the bellicose president of Ukraine, the most puffed up man in the world by 0.90

00:09:40.960 the Western media, Vladimir Zelensky, who says this is a clear act of Russian aggression and escalation.

00:09:47.820 Today happened what we warned about a long time ago. This terror is not limited to our national

00:09:54.000 borders. It has spread to the territory of Moldova. And today, Russian missiles hit Poland.

00:10:00.640 Today, Russian missiles hit Poland. Okay. So at this point, the whole chattering class, 0.89

00:10:08.780 all of the propagandists in the West, they just gobble this stuff up. I did not because,

00:10:14.720 as I've said for many months now, I do not believe anything that I hear about the war in Ukraine.

00:10:22.400 I will do my own research. I will investigate it myself. Sometimes I'll come up with an answer that I

00:10:27.080 think is credible. Very often, though, it's still the fog of war, and I'm still not quite sure.

00:10:32.700 I don't believe the propaganda coming out of the Kremlin, and I don't believe the propaganda coming

00:10:37.660 out of the West. I think it is what I say it is. I think it is all wartime propaganda and not to be

00:10:45.620 believed. And I sure am glad that I waited. Because when you started to do a little bit more research on

00:10:51.580 this, once you get past the mainstream media headlines, once you get past Vladimir Zelensky's

00:10:56.920 begging for World War III, you would notice that the Pentagon did not confirm that it was a Russian

00:11:03.220 missile. Other Western governments would not confirm that it's a Russian missile. Then we find

00:11:10.640 out yesterday, it was not a Russian missile. Maybe the missile was made in Russia. Let's not forget, 0.97

00:11:17.580 Ukraine has been part of Russia for a lot of its history. But the missile was fired, according to

00:11:24.380 all of the intelligence sources now, and even according to the media, by Ukraine. By Ukraine.

00:11:33.820 So when they said it was a Russian missile, we had all the clamors for war. Here we go. Hit a NATO

00:11:38.380 country. Article V. What's World War III, baby? Then we find out it was a Ukrainian missile. Oh, never mind. 0.64

00:11:43.480 Never mind. That's okay. Move along. Nothing to see here. There was actually a headline in the New

00:11:48.520 York Times. This is amazing. They admit after the fact, okay, it wasn't a Russian missile. But then

00:11:53.200 the headline is, this is not Ukraine's fault. Tensions ease over missile strike in Poland.

00:12:00.020 NATO and Polish officials said that it was a Ukrainian missile that crossed the border and killed two people,

00:12:04.380 but that Russia bore the blame. Wait, what? Hold on. When it's a Russian missile, Russia bears the 0.81

00:12:12.540 blame. When it's a Ukrainian missile, Russia bears the blame. When it's a Russian missile, we got to 0.91

00:12:17.980 get ready for World War III. When it's a Ukrainian missile that hits a NATO country, oh, never mind. 0.92

00:12:21.480 No big deal. Tensions ease all of a sudden. Why? The same number of people were killed.

00:12:26.120 The same NATO territory was violated. Why? And by the way, by the way, there is another theory that

00:12:36.820 actually maybe it was a Russian missile, but that the governments in the West are downplaying that

00:12:42.200 because they don't want to escalate tensions with Moscow. I don't know. I don't know. I tend to

00:12:48.900 believe Putin, for all of his sins, has been pretty precise when it comes to the special military

00:12:55.580 operation. He's been pretty precise in a lot of his political actions since he took power 20 years

00:13:00.520 ago. I tend to believe it is more likely that the Pentagon and Western intelligence and the New York

00:13:09.040 Times are finally admitting the truth. I think the second story that they're going with now actually

00:13:14.140 is more likely to be true. And the citizen journalists who have been reporting on this from

00:13:19.240 the beginning when the mainstream media were getting it wrong, that very likely it was a Ukraine

00:13:23.700 missile. But it's a story to remind you, do not believe the first news that you read.

00:13:33.780 This was true during the Trump days. Whatever crazy headline you saw about Trump, just wait 24 hours,

00:13:39.640 okay? Because it's probably, what you're reading is probably not the reality. Well,

00:13:43.000 the same is certainly true in Ukraine. The same is certainly true of all wars, 0.92

00:13:46.240 okay? And there are a lot of people who are all too eager to be duped into a major, major war

00:13:54.560 over Ukraine, with a Ukrainian president who is pleading with the West to start World War III,

00:14:03.440 to go, to strike Moscow, to plunge the world into a potentially nuclear conflict over what? Over Ukraine,

00:14:12.360 world wars have started over a lot less than energy disputes in Russia, over a lot less than color revolutions

00:14:30.680 in Eastern Europe, over a lot less than a missile flying into Poland. World wars have started with a lot less,

00:14:36.880 people ought to be very, very careful, okay? We got to protect ourselves. One way to protect yourself

00:14:43.520 is to arm yourself with our Second Amendment rights and to exercise those rights. Another way to protect

00:14:51.360 yourself is to caffeinate yourself, make sure that you're ready and raring to go for a fight. And one

00:16:13.360 the saddest, most pathetic clip I have seen from the world stage in a very long time took place yesterday 0.99

00:16:19.900 when Justin Trudeau, the rumored bastard child of Fidel Castro. But listen, that is a conspiracy 0.99

00:16:28.300 theory. I don't buy it. I actually don't buy it. He just behaves like Fidel Castro's son. But the

00:16:33.800 prime minister of America's top hat, Justin Trudeau, had an impromptu meeting at the G20 with

00:16:41.100 Chinese president for life, Xi Jinping. The power dynamics were pathetic. 0.97

00:16:49.900 Everything we discussed has been leaked to the papers. That's not appropriate, says 0.84

00:16:55.020 Xi. That is not the way the conversation was conducted, says Xi. There's poor Justin Trudeau

00:17:02.500 like a deer in the headlights.

00:17:09.800 If there was sincerity on your part, Justin, he starts to walk away.

00:17:14.180 And Justin, this total beta move, says, well, you know, we have a free exchange and we're going

00:17:22.740 to... She won't even look at him. Let's create the conditions first. Bye. See ya. Just walks 0.92

00:17:28.620 away from him. Poor Trudeau. You can tell he's like shaking as he walks away. Poor Trudeau.

00:17:34.500 He's wobbling. He feels so awkward. It's so pathetic. Big Daddy Xi is obviously the power

00:17:42.080 player in this dynamic and poor little Justin Trudeau is cowering. And this is really sad

00:17:46.960 for us because Canada is and always has been America's top hat. I use that phrase somewhat

00:17:54.960 jokingly, but Canada really is just sort of an extension of America and the broader kind

00:17:59.680 of Anglo-American sphere of influence. And we used to be the top guys in the world stage.

00:18:05.920 It did not used to be the case that the Chinese could come up to the Westerners and boss us around 1.00

00:18:12.960 and tell us what to do and dress us down in public. That did not happen. That does happen now

00:18:19.520 because we have lost leverage and power on the world stage. We are in an era of Western decline

00:18:27.560 and Chinese ascent. And this didn't just come about organically or accidentally. This was a policy.

00:18:35.440 Just as we were talking at the top of the show about this strange situation we're in where

00:18:39.780 Americans aren't having children. Wow, it's so weird. How did we get there? Oh, whoopsie daisy. 1.00

00:18:43.600 Guess we need mass migration. No, it didn't just happen whoopsie daisy. It happened intentionally

00:18:48.120 because in part of changes to our immigration laws in the first place, which depress wages and

00:18:54.820 discourage people from having kids, but also all the laws on sex, the complete redefinition and

00:19:01.300 abolition of marriage, the abortion laws, the promotion of contraception, the forcing of women 1.00

00:19:11.100 into the workforce. It's always phrased as we're allowing women into the workforce. Oh yes, 1.00

00:19:16.020 no, women have the opportunity to go make widgets for Mr. McGillicuddy down at the factory. But 0.99

00:19:21.140 is that really how it works for most women? I know a lot of women who would like to stay home 1.00

00:19:27.280 and raise their kids. I know a lot of women who would prefer that, but they can't do it because 1.00

00:19:31.760 you can't raise a family in America on one income anymore. They have to work. And then they have to

00:19:37.200 pay a bunch of money to some other woman to raise their kids for them. It's in practice, 1.00

00:19:45.000 our current labor laws force women into the workforce much more than they give women the opportunity to 1.00

00:19:52.680 go work at the widget factory. Okay. And it didn't just happen accidentally. These are laws that we

00:19:57.780 have passed to do this sort of thing. Well, it's the same thing with national decline and Chinese 1.00

00:20:02.320 ascent. Joe Biden was on the record. I think it was about 10 years ago. He said, China's rising,

00:20:06.940 and that's a good thing for everybody. Rising tide lifts all ships. It's good that we're encouraging

00:20:10.580 China to grow and rise and become very, very strong. And this was, I don't mean to just blame

00:20:16.380 Biden and the Democrats. Biden's been around forever, so he bears some responsibility for it.

00:20:20.520 He was a big promoter of this, but it was the Republicans too. It was both parties that

00:20:25.060 encouraged China to enter the World Trade Organization. We went really soft in our trade

00:20:29.080 deals with China. We encouraged them to, we let them steal our IP. We let them illegally 1.00

00:20:33.860 devalue their own currency. We let them do all sorts of things that gave them an advantage over us.

00:20:40.540 And now we see the consequences of that. We and our little vassals up there in Canada,

00:20:45.060 like Justin Trudeau, get dressed down. Very, very sad. It is funny in that exchange. I'm sort of

00:20:53.460 rooting for Xi. Between Xi and Justin Trudeau, I actually kind of get a kick out of Xi dressing him

00:21:02.200 down. But it's sad. It's sad for our civilization, and it shows our relative status in the world.

00:21:07.960 Now, speaking of world leaders, there is a shocking new poll out. This is from The Economist and

00:21:12.460 YouGov. It shows Ron DeSantis not just gaining on Trump, not even just tied with Trump. He is way up

00:21:20.660 on Donald Trump. The poll asks, if you had to choose, who would you rather see as the Republican

00:21:26.060 nominee for president in 2024? 51% chose DeSantis. 33% chose Trump. 17% are not sure. That means Ron

00:21:35.700 DeSantis right now in this poll is 18 points up on Trump. Polls generally mean nothing. Primary

00:21:42.620 polls this far out. And national primary polls also don't really mean very much because the primaries

00:21:47.360 are conducted in states. And if DeSantis gets in, he won't be the only one to get in. I bet there will

00:21:53.460 be a lot of other candidates who get in. And so you'll see a big splitting of the vote. And it could

00:21:58.040 be the case that Donald Trump then just gets a plurality. And this is what happened in 2016.

00:22:03.560 He didn't have the majority of the vote in these states, but he had the plurality.

00:22:07.360 And the other guys stayed in the race a long time. And Donald Trump got the nomination.

00:22:10.400 All of that might happen. But this should worry Trump that he is falling this far behind

00:22:15.900 this early on. I assume this is why Trump declared early. I think this is why Trump's speech

00:22:24.380 was relatively restrained as he wanted to show that he can be Trump without the downsides. He can be

00:22:30.240 what they're billing DeSantis as. But this is leading to a GOP civil war, whether we want to

00:22:35.780 admit it or not. Ron DeSantis was just asked about it. Here's his answer.

00:22:39.700 Look, I think we just finished this election, okay? People just need to chill out a little

00:22:44.940 bit on some of this stuff. I mean, seriously, we just ran an election.

00:22:48.640 We have this Georgia runoff coming, which is very important for Republicans to win that Georgia

00:22:59.160 runoff. I mean, I know around the country, Florida was kind of the biggest bright spot. It was not so

00:23:04.680 bright in many other parts of the country. It was a substandard performance given the dynamics that

00:23:10.440 are at play. So hopefully we'll be able to do that. But I think what people like me who've been

00:23:16.480 given the opportunity to continue is, okay, let's do something with that. And the reason why we want

00:23:23.480 historic victory is at the end of the day, we led, we delivered, and we had your back when you needed

00:23:31.040 us. That is why we won big. DeSantis goes on, we don't have the clip, but he goes on to say,

00:23:37.400 and so we're going to continue to deliver. We're not going to look back. I think that's very,

00:23:43.820 very significant. So he gives a good answer here. He doesn't talk about Trump specifically,

00:23:48.980 but this is all about Trump. He says, look, people like me who have been given the opportunity

00:23:53.060 to continue, right? Unlike Trump, who only got one term, me, I got reelected. So here's what we're

00:23:58.340 going to do. And I'm not going to look back. Trump's speech was all looking back. Look at what I did.

00:24:02.260 Look at what I did. We're not looking back. We're looking forward. So he is tailoring all of his

00:24:07.040 answers here. They're in a somewhat veiled way, but nevertheless, these are barbs back at Trump.

00:24:14.600 Trump started the fight. DeSantis is throwing these jabs, not openly yet, but folks, we're two years

00:24:20.700 out and it's already getting this testy between Trump and DeSantis. And what I urge people, and I

00:24:29.580 have urged my fellow conservative pundits, public figures, politicians, I've suggested to people,

00:24:36.120 hey, we have primaries for a reason. Let this thing play out. You don't need to just dig your

00:24:40.800 heels in and be the most hardcore, I'm DeSantis or die, or I'm Trump or die, or I'm, I don't know, 0.99

00:24:48.140 Tim Scott or die. I don't know how many of those people there are. But we're very early. We as a 0.90

00:24:54.260 party have a primary process for a reason. It's okay. You don't need to pretend that Trump wasn't

00:25:00.600 the best conservative president of your lifetime. You know he was. You know he was. You don't need to

00:25:04.320 pretend that you hate Trump. You probably love Trump. He's a very lovable guy. Likewise, you

00:25:08.860 don't need to pretend that DeSantis hasn't done a good job in Florida. He's done a great job in

00:25:12.560 Florida. He's a good candidate. There's no question about that. It's okay, guys. It's all right. People

00:25:17.000 don't like uncertainty. It gives them anxiety and they don't like it. And so people just want to rush

00:25:23.440 to a conclusion. Well, life is about cultivating patience and resignation in large part. These are

00:25:29.800 virtues, okay? And you've got, you've got to let things play out in their due time. All right?

00:25:37.360 I know, but it's tough because there's a lot of political pressure these days. There's, there's a

00:25:41.560 lot of people trying to attack you for your views. That's why you probably want to anonymize your data

00:27:12.280 DeSantis throwing some digs at Trump. Trump throwing some digs at DeSantis. Speaking of Burns,

00:27:18.080 Jay Leno has just suffered very serious burns. Kind of a hard segue, but it relates very broadly to

00:27:26.760 what we're talking about here. Jay Leno, as a lot of people know, loves cars. He loves working on his

00:27:32.440 own cars. He was working on one of his cars and he got gasoline sprayed onto his face and then there

00:27:37.120 was a spark and his face caught on fire. I mean, it just sounds absolutely awful. He was rushed to the

00:27:42.480 hospital. He could have died. Easily, easily could have died. Dr. Peter Grossman, who's a board

00:27:47.840 certified plastic surgeon in LA, told reporters that Leno suffered, quote, significant burns to

00:27:53.040 his face and hands and required a surgical excision and grafting procedure. Leno then told TMZ

00:27:59.900 that his friend Dave, who was in the garage with him at the time, was able to smother the flames.

00:28:05.620 Otherwise, it easily could have killed him. And then the doctor said that, now this is just like

00:28:11.180 a couple of days later, that Leno was in good spirits and was even helping with the other patients

00:28:16.380 and giving children cookies. He said, quote, we're very happy to have him as part of our team.

00:28:22.460 So this is a guy who just gets his face and hands burnt off. And a couple of days later,

00:28:26.400 he's out cracking jokes, having a fun time in the hospital, giving kids cookies.

00:28:30.760 A lot of people are asking, how can he do this? People probably aren't that surprised because

00:28:34.340 when you think of Jay Leno, you just think of this very buoyant guy, just like,

00:28:37.400 you know, he's always just kind of happy. He's not one of these angry comedians.

00:28:42.020 Right? He's very funny and delightful. A great lesson here is on how good it is to cultivate

00:28:51.680 buoyancy. Okay? How good it is to not only be resilient in the sense that you're really tough

00:29:00.100 and you can withstand troubles, but to be buoyant. That when circumstances get you down and try to

00:29:06.260 smother you, drown you in the water, you just pop right back up. Buoyancy is really, really important.

00:29:13.240 And people very often just have the opposite. They'll sink to the bottom, even if they're taking

00:29:19.280 a nice swim in the Caribbean ocean. You know, even if they're in broadly happy circumstances,

00:29:25.700 they'll still find some terrible thing, some negative discomfort to obsess about.

00:29:30.740 You don't want to do that. People have this fantasy, which is, you know, things are tough

00:29:37.440 right now, but once I get past this, then I'll be happy. You know, it's a tough week at work. But

00:29:42.720 once I get past this week at work, then I'll be happy. I'm having a hard time, you know, with my

00:29:48.920 family. But once this one thing changes, six months from now, then I'll be happy. Ah, you know,

00:29:56.280 the house needs work. Oh, it's so annoying. I got a leak in my ceiling. Once we fix that leak,

00:30:00.880 though, then I'll be happy. And the people who think that way are never happy. That's the secret,

00:30:07.500 because there's always going to be some other thing. And there's always going to be some

00:30:12.800 circumstance that is imperfect because we live in a fallen world. So it is, I think, your duty,

00:30:19.120 but it's certainly greatly to your benefit to cultivate that kind of buoyancy now.

00:30:26.280 Now, circumstances are sort of morally neutral, okay? Suffering is not an immoral thing.

00:30:35.020 You can respond to suffering in a good, moral, edifying, sanctifying way, or you can respond

00:30:40.640 to it in a degrading and disedifying way. I hate that word because it's a silly word. But you can, 0.98

00:30:46.980 in a destructive way, in a way that is really not going to be good for you, okay?

00:30:50.440 Suffering is just part of the world. And so you'll notice the people who can have their face burnt 0.99

00:30:59.040 off and still be happy and buoyant and able to get by the next day. They're the people who don't

00:31:06.220 sweat the small stuff either. It's not a fact of circumstance. It's a fact of their own character.

00:31:12.360 And I think it's on all of us to cultivate that. Sometimes people will say, you see this in

00:31:18.400 politics. They'll say, we just need to do X, Y, and Z, and then we'll finally achieve a good country.

00:31:25.320 That's what we need to achieve a good country. A country is not a thing to achieve. A country is

00:31:31.960 a place to inhabit, okay? It's not, we're going to get there. This is how the progressives talk.

00:31:36.960 We're going to get there. We're not there yet, but we're going to get there where we achieve this

00:31:40.520 good country. We're already there. We're in the country, okay? We are here. And every single

00:31:48.260 moment of the day, we have the option to pursue good and avoid evil, or to pursue evil and avoid

00:31:56.360 good. In all of our little decisions, that's how you have a good country, okay? Is you just do the

00:32:02.500 right thing consistently, and you cultivate that habit, because virtue is a habit, and then you have

00:32:07.880 a good country. It's not some distant thing. Six months from now, then we're going to have a good

00:32:11.820 country. You can do it right now. A lot of that involves cultivating a spirit of resignation.

00:32:17.540 Speaking of the spirit of resignation, Mitch McConnell will be reelected Republican minority

00:32:27.620 leader in the Senate. That is going to happen. There was a challenge from Rick Scott. Rick Scott,

00:32:34.380 a more conservative senator from Florida. He challenged McConnell. They held a vote. It was

00:32:41.900 a secret ballot, because none of the senators want to get on cocaine Mitch's bad side, because he's just

00:32:47.000 going to turn out like Tony Montana, you know, and pull that automatic weapon and say, say hello to my

00:32:51.960 little, right? So it was a secret ballot. Rick Scott pried away about 10 votes. McConnell gets reelected.

00:33:00.040 And he told us that this would happen. He said, I have the votes. I will be elected. The only issue

00:33:05.620 is whether we do it sooner or later. Now, I don't hate Mitch McConnell in the way that a lot of

00:33:09.000 conservatives do, because McConnell held firm on the judges when Scalia died. And McConnell is in

00:33:14.680 large part the reason why we got to overrule Roe v. Wade and why Trump, probably one of the main reasons

00:33:19.360 Trump got elected to replace Scalia, and then why we got that big victory in Dobbs. So I like McConnell,

00:33:25.900 but the man is not a hardline, rock-ribbed conservative. Chuck Schumer now, the Senate

00:33:30.220 majority leader again, is already talking about sitting down with McConnell and trying to kill

00:33:34.400 off the MAGA movement. I am going to say to the Republicans in the Senate, who are not the MAGA

00:33:40.280 Republicans, stop letting them lead your party. Work with us to get things done. And I intend to sit

00:33:47.340 down with Mitch McConnell and express that. And I think- You've been saying that. You've been asking for-

00:33:52.040 Just quickly, when are you going to- You're sitting down with Mitch McConnell this week?

00:33:55.020 No, I'm going to- I intend- I've said this yesterday and the day before, too. I intend to sit down with

00:34:01.420 him and say, how can we- We should be working together. You're not going to get the extremists

00:34:05.800 in your party to work with anybody, but the rest of us can work together and get them some real things

00:34:10.860 done for the American people. So, thankfully, CNN clarified here and said, wait, when are you sitting

00:34:17.500 down with Mitch McConnell? And he said, no, I intend to. So it's not like they have a meeting on the

00:34:21.140 books, but I'm sure McConnell will be more than open to this overture from Schumer. McConnell hates

00:34:30.500 the MAGA wing of the party. There's no question about that. The GOP establishment in Washington,

00:34:36.020 DC hates the MAGA wing of the party. And this is why, just as we talk about healthy skepticism when we

00:34:46.680 hear reports out of the war in Ukraine, we need healthy skepticism when we hear reports out of

00:34:51.820 why the Republicans did or did not perform in the midterms. The people who hate Donald Trump and the

00:35:00.220 MAGA movement are going to be much more inclined to blame the disappointing performance during the

00:35:07.400 midterms on Trump and the MAGA movement. Almost to a man, the people who are blaming this thing on

00:35:14.860 Trump didn't like Trump to begin with and don't like the MAGA movement. Now, if you talk to the

00:35:21.960 MAGA movement people and the people who like Donald Trump, they're going to be much more inclined to

00:35:27.760 blame the upending of our voting rules for what happened on Tuesday. They're going to say, yeah,

00:35:33.780 we had a red wave in Florida, and maybe you can say that's only because of DeSantis, but how do you

00:35:38.000 explain the red wave in Texas? How do you explain the red wave in Ohio? How do you explain the difference

00:35:42.800 between Florida, Texas, and Ohio and Arizona and Nevada? Well, the difference there is that Florida,

00:35:50.480 Texas, and Ohio had tightened up their voting rules, and they didn't even tighten them up all that much,

00:35:55.080 but they tightened them up a little bit after 2020. Arizona and Nevada did not. There were a whole lot

00:36:00.320 of shenanigans that we saw in Arizona and Nevada, and surprise, surprise, the Republicans lose.

00:36:07.020 So if you look at it from that vantage, which I think is much more persuasive,

00:36:09.740 then the question is not over candidate quality or those crazy MAGA candidates. J.D. Vance was a

00:36:15.960 crazy MAGA candidate. He won just fine. It wasn't just, oh, you know, it's Blake Masters and Carrie 0.95

00:36:20.660 Lake. They're crazy MAGA candidates. There, it would seem that the more decisive factor

00:36:26.300 was the election laws, the changing to the way that we conduct the elections, which give a huge benefit

00:36:35.360 to the Democrats. The majority of votes coming in early as a result of things like ballot harvesting,

00:36:42.900 right? That's obviously going to favor Democrats. Republicans don't have a ballot harvesting 0.95

00:36:46.660 organization. We just don't have it at all. Democrats have had them for decades.

00:36:52.880 Maybe that's, maybe that's really what's going on here. I just would urge caution. As when you read

00:36:59.120 the news about Ukraine, urge caution and maybe notice every now and again that the people who

00:37:05.940 are so insistent, this is exactly what happened. Very often it's the people who got all their

00:37:09.960 predictions wrong about the elections, but then the next day they're going to go on air and tell

00:37:13.860 you this is exactly what happened. We have no epistemic humility whatsoever here. They're going to say

00:37:21.560 that just coincidentally, what happened in my analysis of the elections, what happened is

00:37:27.940 every single thing to confirm my own priors. Yeah, okay. I'm a little skeptical of that.

00:37:33.780 I don't think so. I don't think that we should accept the establishment line. Maybe we don't even

00:37:38.000 necessarily accept the MAGA line of argument at face value. Maybe we look into these things for

00:37:43.060 ourselves and recognize it's a complex process. There's a lot at play and there are a lot of forces

00:37:47.940 who are fighting a long simmering civil war that actually has nothing to do with the midterms and

00:37:53.140 it's been going on for a very, very long time. Have you watched the exclusive three-part series,

00:37:58.260 Dr. Jordan B. Peterson's On Marriage, yet? Because I would strongly recommend it.

00:38:04.440 I think every single day, I am truly blessed by God. I was thinking this just last night as I was

00:38:08.580 going to bed. I am so, so blessed to have my wonderful wife, sweet little Elisa, and my two sweet

00:38:14.720 little kids. And it's just truly, I can't even articulate what that feels like. With marriage

00:38:22.420 rates at an all-time low in the United States and a birth rate that is continuing to fall,

00:38:27.780 not everyone gets that sort of joy. And people should, many more people should have that sort

00:38:32.640 of joy. Everyone needs to watch this show, especially young people. Statistics are showing

00:38:36.740 that younger people are getting married much later in life and less frequently too. Now, our audience is

00:38:42.260 not filled with Peter Pan's, but just in case there are a few stragglers who are late to the marriage

00:38:46.340 and family party, consider this a pleasant little kick in the teeth. Stop being so self-centered.

00:38:51.660 For those of you married folks who've let time and work and outside forces get in the way,

00:38:55.940 Jordan will also show you how to navigate through those moments and get back to that romantic fun

00:38:59.960 adventure you had at the beginning. Daily Wire Plus members can catch all three episodes of

00:39:03.740 Jordan Peterson's On Marriage today. If you're not a member, go to dailywire.com slash

00:39:08.380 Knowles to join today. Remember, your membership really helps us to prevent the total collapse of

00:39:13.820 society as we know it. If the shows were not incentive enough, that I hope pushes you across

00:39:18.920 the finish line. There are plenty of arguments about the role of MAGA and Trump going into the

00:39:25.740 future. There's one really weak argument though that I keep hearing. And actually, I heard it from

00:39:30.080 a guy that I like a lot. Mick Mulvaney was a former, well, I think he was chief of staff to Donald

00:39:36.400 Trump, at least acting chief of staff. And so he was a MAGA guy. He supported Trump. He was with

00:39:40.740 him. But he says that Trump is probably the one guy who could lose in 2024. Do you think this is

00:39:48.340 good for the Republican Party? No, I don't because I think he's the only Republican who could lose.

00:39:53.320 If he wins in 2024, now he's a candidate. He is the likely Republican nominee. Can he be beaten

00:39:59.780 head to head by Ron DeSantis or Tim Scott? Sure, but it's not going to be a head to head race.

00:40:04.460 There'll be five or six other people in the race and he'll get the 35 percent that really support

00:40:09.160 him. And under the winner take all primary system, he'll be the nominee. But that means the 2024 race

00:40:15.220 is not about Joe Biden or whatever Democrat is on the ticket, not about inflation, not about world

00:40:20.360 events, not about abortion. It'll be about Donald Trump. The same thing we saw in 2020. No one voted

00:40:26.700 for Joe Biden. Everybody voted for or against Donald Trump. It was a referendum on him. And that's what

00:40:32.440 we're hurtling towards in 2024. And I don't see the outcome being any different two years from now

00:40:37.360 than it was two years ago. So I like Mick Mulvaney. I don't think the guy's a squish. I think a lot of 1.00

00:40:42.560 his analysis is quite good, especially I actually had given the same analysis earlier in the show.

00:40:47.060 I think his analysis of the way the primaries shake out is very, very good as well. And if you look

00:40:52.040 at 2016, had Rubio dropped out earlier, Ted Cruz would have been the GOP nominee. It's just the way the

00:40:58.280 primaries work. But because he stayed in, it split that anti-Trump vote. And so Donald Trump gets the

00:41:04.480 plurality, plurality, plurality. Eventually, he's the nominee. So I think all of that's true. Where I

00:41:08.560 think Mulvaney, though, is wrong and frankly naive is the idea that Donald Trump is the only Republican

00:41:15.940 who could lose in 2024. I have almost the exact opposite take.

00:41:22.600 I sort of think that it's virtually impossible for a Republican to win in 2024. I took a little

00:41:32.600 look at the election map. Okay, the electoral college map here. And I went through all of the

00:41:39.000 states that Republicans could win. And I was very generous on the toss-up states. Okay, I said that

00:41:45.360 Republicans get Florida. I said Republicans get Texas, sure. I said Republicans get Ohio. I said

00:41:52.000 Republicans get Wisconsin. That's far from certain. But I said, let's say Republicans get Wisconsin.

00:41:56.780 I said Republicans get North Carolina. Far from certain. Probably unlikely. But okay, let's throw

00:42:01.780 that there too. I said Republicans get Nevada. Very far from certain. I'm very skeptical that

00:42:07.180 Republicans will get Nevada. But okay, let's say Republicans get Nevada. Okay. Even still,

00:42:13.440 I gave the Democrats Michigan. Gave the Democrats Colorado, I think is quite clear at this point.

00:42:19.040 Even still, with all of that being so generous to what the Republicans could get,

00:42:24.260 without Arizona, the Republicans lose. And Arizona has real problems with the elections.

00:42:31.780 Those Maricopa voting machines, they just don't seem to work all that well. Whoopsie-daisy.

00:42:39.560 The people conducting the elections in Arizona. Well, the top official to conduct elections in this

00:42:46.880 past cycle was Katie Hobbs, who was the Democrat who was running for governor and then coincidentally 0.72

00:42:51.740 won. But even you look at the Maricopa County officials, there was a rejoinder to the questioning

00:42:59.400 on the right of the Maricopa elections. And people pointed out, they said, well, you know,

00:43:04.000 the Maricopa County officials conducting the elections, they're actually Republicans. Yeah,

00:43:08.100 they're Republican, mostly Republicans, sort of, except that they hate Donald Trump.

00:43:12.100 They're never Trump Republicans. They go on left-wing news outlets. They have been going on

00:43:18.200 for a very long time, lambasting Donald Trump and the Trumpian candidates and anyone who raises any

00:43:23.140 questions about the election procedures. Then you look at the election laws in Arizona. They heavily

00:43:26.660 favor Democrats. And so I'm highly skeptical that if we can't tune up these laws, that any Republican

00:43:32.700 could possibly win. But the idea that, oh, it's only Donald Trump. It's only Donald Trump that people,

00:43:38.560 give me a break. Part of the reason that the other candidates look shiny right now is because the

00:43:44.040 national apparatus has not attacked them yet. Attacked them to some degree. DeSantis has taken

00:43:49.180 plenty of slings and arrows, but nowhere near the kind of slings and arrows that we've seen from

00:43:55.000 Trump. It's not DeSantis' fault. DeSantis hasn't run a national campaign yet. And that's what happens.

00:44:00.540 And very often what will happen is the media will prop up certain Republican candidates during the

00:44:05.600 primary campaign only to try to clobber them in the general. In fact, that's exactly what happened

00:44:09.840 with Donald Trump. The media encouraged Donald Trump. They celebrated Trump because they thought

00:44:14.500 he'd be the easiest to beat in the general election. Then it turned out Trump beats Hillary. 1.00

00:44:21.700 The idea, I'm not, I am not saying with certainty that Trump is the best candidate in 2024. I'm far from

00:44:27.680 saying that, but he is far from the worst candidate. Donald Trump helped put together a coalition

00:44:35.200 that was different and better than the GOP establishment coalition, than the Mitt Romney.

00:44:44.140 Listen, 47% of Americans are just freeloading poor people. Remember that? Remember that comment?

00:44:49.940 Listen, we're just going to cut all, we're just going to cut taxes and outsource all of your jobs and

00:44:53.920 open up the borders. Remember that Republican Party? No, I think the Trump movement inspires far

00:45:00.180 greater support than the other stuff. And yes, he's gotten the attacks. Sure, he's been in the game

00:45:07.240 for six, seven years now. But the next guy is going to get that too. I remember during the primaries

00:45:11.640 in 2016, 2015, I was sitting in Los Angeles at a bar and one of the staff members comes over.

00:45:22.120 And this guy was obviously Hispanic. I didn't know if he was legal or illegal, had a very thick accent

00:45:30.380 and didn't ask him. And he's looking and we're watching the debates and he's kind of shaking his

00:45:36.740 head at the candidates. And I forget who was on screen. Maybe it was, I don't know, Ted Cruz. I said,

00:45:40.500 oh, you don't like Ted Cruz? He goes, no, he's not my guy. I said, who do you like?

00:45:46.160 You like Hillary? He goes, no, I don't like Hillary. Oh, okay. You like Rubio? No, I don't

00:45:53.040 like Rubio. I go through all the candidates. I finally got down to the last one. He said,

00:45:56.700 wait, who are you supporting? He goes, Trump, my man Trump. And I just have found again and again,

00:46:07.980 it's not the fancy people at the fancy DC cocktail parties and the big think tanks at the fancy lunches

00:46:12.540 at wherever. It's ordinary people working ordinary jobs that you don't hear about on TV.

00:46:18.200 Those are the people who flocked to Trump who did not like other candidates. Could a Ron DeSantis win

00:46:22.820 over those people? Yeah, sure. Maybe. I don't know. We'll see when they run a national campaign.

00:46:27.760 But we know that Trump got them in this idea that he's always uniquely off-putting to people. I don't

00:46:32.600 buy that for one second. John McCain was uniquely off-putting to people. He lost. Mitt Romney was uniquely

00:46:38.080 off-putting to people. He lost. I guess not uniquely. He just kind of or narrowly off-putting

00:46:42.300 to people. Donald Trump won. Those guys lost. Donald Trump won. Okay, so don't tell me about

00:46:48.360 who is guaranteed to lose. Very, very naive. Now, speaking of maps, speaking of the election maps,

00:46:56.320 speaking of diagrams, of all the political rhetoric that we have heard and analyzed in recent days and

00:47:04.260 weeks, I think I've just discovered the absolute tippy-top of the heap, the creme de la creme.

00:47:11.180 This would be our vice president, Kamala Harris, giving a discourse on Venn diagrams.

00:47:17.260 Remember Venn diagrams, those three circles, right? And then let's just see where they overlap.

00:47:22.340 You will not be surprised because I have constructed a Venn diagram on this. Remember those three circles,

00:47:27.420 how they overlap? I love Venn diagrams. So I just do. Whenever you're dealing with conflict,

00:47:33.680 pull out a Venn diagram, right? And so, you know, the three circles. And so I asked my team,

00:47:40.600 right? They're fantastic. I'm geeking out right now. He sees the Venn diagram of it all. He sees that

00:47:44.940 there are those circles and maybe people seem that they're a little different. They live in different

00:47:49.440 parts of the country. They may be different age or different race. But that area in the middle,

00:47:53.260 that overlap. But I asked my team to do a Venn diagram of where these attacks are happening.

00:47:58.420 So voting rights, women's reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights. And of course, there was a huge

00:48:05.200 intersection. You know, I asked my team to do a Venn diagram for me of where we are seeing attacks and

00:48:12.700 who are the attacks against and the similarity. And when you look at a diagram of the, just a Venn

00:48:19.640 diagram in that regard, it tells a real tale. This is the caliber of intellect leading our country.

00:48:29.500 A third grade caliber of intellect. This is, I almost wonder when I watch that clip,

00:48:35.500 did Kamala Harris just learn what a Venn diagram is? Did she? Or I don't know what's better,

00:48:40.440 that she just learned what a Venn diagram is or that her education never progressed past the third

00:48:45.800 grade. Because Kamala Harris, I guess, has a law degree. But, you know, this is typical now of our 0.74

00:48:54.460 education structure. We flatter ourselves. We say, oh, we're the most educated generation ever. Oh,

00:49:00.620 yes, Americans have more degrees than ever. Right. But we're, we have more degrees, but we are much

00:49:05.920 less educated because those degrees don't mean anything anymore because all the standards have

00:49:10.080 been dramatically lowered for various reasons of national policy and the decay of these institutions.

00:49:16.360 The standards are much lower now, such that you could have a, not only a bachelor's degree,

00:49:21.700 but a law degree. And this is the height of your political thinking. Not exactly Metternich. Okay.

00:49:27.020 We're not talking about Talleyrand over here. All right. This is where we are. And do not think for

00:49:33.060 one second that that woman cannot become president. I just, I just want to encourage people to expand

00:49:40.760 their political imaginations. I think, I guess that's sort of the theme of this show.

00:49:44.880 Don't believe what the fact checkers tell you about the crazy conspiracy theories. Don't believe

00:49:49.280 what the propagandists tell you about the fog of war, trying to clear up the fog of war. Don't believe

00:49:55.920 what the pundits with their own agendas tell you about, oh, Trump can't win or this, this person's the

00:50:02.480 only person who can win. I would not believe any of that stuff. Okay. Don't believe them when they

00:50:10.200 tell you Kamala Harris can't become president. John Fetterman is about to become a U.S. Senator. 0.95

00:50:14.000 All right. They said that no one would elect a guy who can't speak. They did. They said no one

00:50:19.000 would elect Trump. They did. That woman could be your next president. All right. That's not enough

00:50:24.640 to motivate you to get out and help the Republicans win. I don't know what will. There are so many

00:50:29.900 questions specifically regarding women, actually, in this country right now. And probably the question

00:50:36.960 that's giving me the most trouble, the question that's keeping me awake at night is, why do attractive

00:50:42.840 women find Pete Davidson lovable? Why? Why are good-looking, successful, put-together women, 1.00

00:50:53.860 why are they drawn like a moth to a flame to skeet to this sort of meth addict looking,

00:51:02.060 sort of strange, odd, creepy guy? Why? Why? We're going to find out. I will be hosting a panel

00:51:09.380 right now in the member bloc of women, of good-looking, normal women from around the country

00:51:16.360 to explain to me the appeal of Pete Davidson. The rest of the show continues now. You don't

00:51:22.380 want to miss it. If you're not a member, click the link in the description and join us.
