The Michael Knowles Show - Ep. 1170 - Democrats' New Demon Statue

00:00:00.000 New York City has just erected a golden demon statue on top of a courthouse near Madison Square

00:00:06.000 Park. And when I say a golden demon statue, I'm not being hyperbolic or funny. It is a gold statue

00:00:14.060 of a demon woman with horns on her head and weird tentacle things for arms dedicated to Ruth Bader

00:00:21.360 Ginsburg and specifically to Ginsburg's support for abortion. The artist who made it told the

00:00:28.140 New York Times that the statue is part of a, quote, urgent and necessary cultural reckoning underway

00:00:33.900 as New York reconsiders traditional representations of power in public spaces and recasts civic

00:00:39.900 structures to better reflect 21st century mores. You see, in old New York, we placed on top of our

00:00:48.440 courthouses stone and marble statues of famous lawgivers, allegories such as Lady Justice,

00:00:55.880 because our old social mores reflected reverence for things like law and justice. Today, we erect

00:01:02.380 golden demon idols to the human sacrifice of little babies because our social mores reflect

00:01:08.900 reverence for things such as hedonism and selfishness. The libs and the artists see this

00:01:14.580 as a wonderful thing. The horns on the beast are, according to the reports, meant to symbolize

00:01:20.800 autonomy and sovereignty, nice enough sounding values, at least until you think about what

00:01:27.120 they really mean. But that is how it always goes. I am sure that the ancient Canaanites thought

00:01:35.980 themselves perfectly justified in worshiping Baal. I have no doubt that the ancient Assyrians thought 0.88

00:01:44.180 that it was a wonderful, fine thing to sacrifice their babies to Moloch. We look back on those 0.96

00:01:51.480 ancient practices, the idol worship, the human sacrifice, and we all mock it as absurd. We're

00:01:57.900 horrified at it, even though we today do precisely, in every single aspect, the same exact thing.

00:02:08.180 The Israelites themselves, about five seconds after Moses walked up the mountain to talk to God,

00:02:13.040 decided to betray the God who led them out of Egypt and worship a golden calf. So what do we do now?

00:02:21.900 The squishes will tell us we need to respect the demonic artists. We need to tolerate their alleged 1.00

00:02:28.980 freedom of demon worship or whatever, their imaginary right to erect satanic statues. But I, for one,

00:02:35.940 hope that the next Republican mayor of New York, whoever has power to get rid of this thing,

00:02:40.100 acts a little less like an anything goes, you do you, who am I to judge art, let's leave it all alone,

00:02:50.700 man, kind of politician, and acts a little bit more like Moses after he came down the mountain.

00:02:55.460 And I hope that that future Republican politician not only removes this monstrosity,

00:03:00.780 but smashes it up to smithereens in public. That would send an artistic, political,

00:03:06.580 and religious message from which we all stand to benefit. I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael

00:03:13.160 Knowles Show.

00:03:20.940 My favorite comment yesterday is from Joe Bag of Donuts. What a name. Who says,

00:03:26.180 if you have shellfish allergies, you should not eat Z-Bugs and the food should come with a warning

00:03:32.500 label. That is true. If you have shellfish allergies, you definitely should avoid eating

00:03:37.420 Z-Bugs. Also, if you don't have shellfish allergies, you should also avoid eating Z-Bugs.

00:03:41.560 Eating Z-Bugs is not a great thing. It's just undignified. It's just taboo. It just doesn't

00:03:51.160 go along with our culture. And you make a good point if you have an allergy. I guess it could kill

00:03:55.160 you. You will die someday, though. That's why you got to check out Epic Will. 1.00

00:04:54.140 Promo code Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S. Speaking of demon ladies, there's a new bill going around the 0.98

00:05:03.660 Senate called the Pelosi Act. I really love this bill. This was proposed by Senator Josh Hawley.

00:05:11.780 This is a bill that he had previously introduced, though now he's retooled it a little bit and

00:05:15.820 renamed it. It would ban insider trading. I mean, insider trading is already banned, but it would

00:05:22.660 specifically ban lawmakers and their spouses from holding and trading individual stocks and would

00:05:28.440 force political figures to return profits to the American citizens. And it is called the

00:05:33.440 Preventing Elected Leaders from Owning Securities and Investments Act, also known as the Pelosi Act.

00:05:42.440 And the reason for this is that for whatever reason, Washington politicians have this weird habit of

00:05:51.060 outperforming the stock market. Isn't that kind of strange? These Washington politicians, they're not

00:05:56.740 necessarily accomplished investment professionals. They don't have advanced degrees and awards and

00:06:03.780 finance. But for whatever reason, these guys in D.C. tend to outperform the stock market.

00:06:12.440 Earlier this month, Business Insider reported at least 78 members of Congress, both Democrats and

00:06:19.320 Republicans, had violated a 2012 law known as the Stock Act, the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge

00:06:24.660 Act. And so now Hawley is trying to clamp down on that. Because that's what happens. That's how

00:06:31.140 corruption works. These insiders in D.C. get all sorts of information that you are not privy to,

00:06:36.320 that your financial advisor, if you have one, is not privy to. They get all that info, and then they

00:06:40.720 trade stocks based on that, and then they make a bunch of money. And it's just, it's so basically

00:06:48.860 corrupt. It's not even corrupt in one of these really house of cards, kind of palace intrigue ways.

00:06:55.280 It's just, it's just politicians using secret info to make a couple of bucks.

00:07:04.200 Speaking of secret info, our friends over at Project Veritas have a huge story.

00:07:10.700 Project Veritas does incredible journalistic work. Because they come out with so many of these

00:07:15.860 investigations, some are bigger bombshells than others. This is the biggest Project Veritas story

00:07:22.380 I have seen in quite a while. This Project Veritas story shows a Pfizer executive confiding some

00:07:29.280 secret information with someone with whom he thinks he is on a date, that Pfizer is planning

00:07:37.120 gain-of-function research on the coronavirus.

00:07:41.060 Pfizer ultimately is thinking about mutating COVID?

00:07:44.760 Well, that is not what we say to the public. No. Don't tell anyone what's going on.

00:07:49.660 You got to publish, you don't tell anyone. You got to publish, you don't tell anyone what's going on.

00:07:51.660 And we're exploring, like, you know how the virus keeps mutating?

00:07:54.820 Yeah.

00:07:55.100 Well, one of the things we're exploring is, like, why don't we just mutate it ourselves so we can

00:07:58.360 procreate, we can create, uncibly develop new vaccines, right?

00:08:01.760 So we have to do that. If we're going to do that, though, there's a risk of, like, as you could

00:08:05.460 imagine, no one wants to be having a pharma company mutating fucking viruses. 0.96

00:08:09.820 You have to be, like, very controlled to make sure that this virus that you mutate doesn't create 0.98

00:08:13.540 something like, you know, it goes everywhere.

00:08:15.740 Yeah, you got to be really controlled and really good at working with COVID and really precise on

00:08:21.220 your vaccines. So, you know, look, I know that we at Pfizer specifically and the entire public

00:08:26.580 health establishment broadly have gotten every single thing wrong about COVID, but we'll probably

00:08:31.700 get it right this time. Let's start messing around with the viruses, huh? Let's start beefing

00:08:35.640 them up. What could go wrong? That's not some conspiracy theory. That's not

00:08:42.820 director of research specifically working on mRNA vaccines at Pfizer. And he's saying, yeah, look,

00:08:50.400 we don't tell the public this because you know what the fact check is going to be. The fact check

00:08:55.980 from the AP or Reuters or PolitiFact or any of these ostensibly neutral journalist outlets,

00:09:02.840 they're going to say, well, no, Pfizer has been very clear that they don't do this. And then you got

00:09:09.100 this guy, this director of research coming in and saying, yeah, I know that's what we say. We're

00:09:13.100 lying. We are working on this. And of course they are. Of course they are. Do you remember when Dr.

00:09:21.240 Fauci went up onto Capitol Hill and Rand Paul grilled him and said, you were conducting a function

00:09:28.040 research, you were funding it. And what did Fauci say? He says, Senator Paul, we have never

00:09:35.560 funded or conducted this kind of gain of function research. And then my favorite part was, was the

00:09:43.800 way he concluded his denial. He said, and if we did, it was totally fine because, because Rand Paul

00:09:50.340 had the goods. And so Fauci perjures himself before the U S Senate. Rand Paul says, actually,

00:09:56.560 you funded this doctor. You gave him this grant that grant went to this place and you conducted

00:10:01.700 gain of function research. And Fauci looked like a deer in the headlights. He goes, well, no, we didn't.

00:10:05.180 We never did that. It is totally fake. And even if it's real, it's fine. Don't worry. Let's move on.

00:10:09.500 Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. Because they're liars. That's why we don't believe 0.99

00:10:14.120 them anymore. That's why we don't trust them. That's why it is unreasonable for most people to get

00:10:19.880 the vaccine and always has been. The reason it has always been unreasonable for most people to get

00:10:25.940 the vaccine is because the people peddling the vaccine are known liars with no credibility.

00:10:33.500 And you're seeing this now with Pfizer, this guy bragging to the person he thinks he's on a date

00:10:38.000 with. So yeah, we're, we're still lying to the public. We haven't, we've learned absolutely no

00:10:42.880 lesson. We know that we are completely immune from any consequences. So yeah, we're going to lie and

00:10:48.180 then we're going to mess around and we're going to engage in the same kind of research that almost

00:10:51.940 certainly caused the pandemic in the first place. What do we do about this? Here's the fork in the

00:10:58.740 road, guys. This is the fork in the road for conservatives. You've got the squishes who might

00:11:05.020 be tempted to say, well, you know, it's a private company. It's a private, we can't interfere in the

00:11:10.980 operations of the free market. We don't want big government to come in and tell Pfizer what to do.

00:11:16.140 No, no, that would be terrible. That would be, that's the real risk that we face here. So look,

00:11:20.960 if you don't like these, these big pharmaceutical executives messing around with very dangerous

00:11:28.780 viruses and potentially shutting the world down again for three years, we'll just build your own

00:11:32.060 Pfizer. That's the, that's one path. Then the other path is wield the government to smush this company

00:11:41.560 into the ground. Wield the government in as much as we can, because there's a lot of regulatory capture

00:11:46.300 by big pharma, but wield the government to stop this. That's the fork in the road. Which way,

00:11:53.560 conservative man? You know, my friend, Senator Cruz has the right instincts on these sorts of

00:12:00.960 questions. Senator Cruz just introduced a bill into the Senate that I think is so, so important,

00:12:09.280 not just for the issue that it seems to directly address, but for, for the broader way that we

00:12:15.780 should be thinking about Washington DC. Senator Cruz introduced a bill to stop illegal aliens from 1.00

00:12:22.980 voting in Washington DC. Both illegal aliens and people who are here on, let's say green cards or

00:12:29.520 visas, but they're not citizens. All non-citizens should not get to vote in Washington DC. Senator Cruz

00:12:36.760 says, allowing non-citizens, including aliens, occupying our nation illegally to exercise a

00:12:40.460 right reserved for American citizens, not only violates the constitutional principles our nation

00:12:44.400 was founded upon, but also naively invites foreign meddling in our elections. Totally true. 1.00

00:12:50.940 But this is not only happening in DC. This is happening in San Francisco. There was a proposal to

00:12:56.100 do this in New York. All around the country, in the liberal cities, there is a movement to let

00:13:01.840 non-citizens start voting. And they may have the right to do that within their own municipalities.

00:13:08.600 San Francisco, because of federalism, may have the right, certain school boards may have the right

00:13:13.380 to let non-citizens vote. So what makes Washington DC different? This is, this is really the core of 0.99

00:13:18.540 this issue, I think. Washington DC is the federal district. Ultimately, Congress is responsible for

00:13:27.580 Washington DC. The Congress chose to allow Washington DC to have its own mayor, to have its own

00:13:36.600 representatives, to have its own local government. But Washington DC is not a state. Washington DC is

00:13:43.760 not a normal town like any other, by no stretch of the imagination, is Washington DC a normal town.

00:13:49.560 And the, the, the Congress has simply given Washington DC too much local power. You always

00:13:57.720 see this on license plates in DC. It's this taxation without representation. You see this move in

00:14:02.900 Washington DC to turn the federal district into a new state. It deserves to be a state. No, the whole

00:14:08.000 point of Washington DC is that it's not a state. The whole point of Washington DC is that it is not a

00:14:12.400 local government. It is the national government. It's, that's why we have the capital of our country

00:14:17.640 in that federal district so that no one state has the capital right there. We've given them too much

00:14:25.140 power. The Washington DC is always run by libs. They always vote Democrat and we should stop that. 0.96

00:14:32.060 The Congress should exert much, much more control. This is going to be another one of those issues

00:14:36.380 that maybe splits the conservatives because you're, you're going to hear from some of the squishes. 1.00

00:14:40.320 Well, no, we don't big government, bad national government, bad. We need more local control

00:14:45.180 representation. If you're going to have taxation and this is perfect. Even if they always vote for

00:14:50.140 Democrats, even if they allow illegal aliens to vote, that's their right. It's no, no, we need big 0.96

00:14:58.320 government. The biggest government we got, the national government to come in and run Washington DC.

00:15:04.060 That's not my new modern liberal statist opinion. That's how Washington DC was founded.

00:15:10.240 That's explicitly what DC was founded for. And we cannot trust the local government. It's one of

00:15:16.880 the most corrupt local governments in the country. Now, speaking of who gets to go to Washington DC

00:15:25.600 within the next year or two, good news for president Trump coming out of the 2024 primary polls. There is

00:15:32.460 a new poll out for morning consult. Shows that president Trump has the support of nearly half

00:15:39.620 of the GOP. He's got 49% support. Number two, we all know who number two is, is, is Ron DeSantis.

00:15:48.300 Ron DeSantis has 30% support, which is very, very impressive, but it's still 19 points behind Trump.

00:15:53.240 And then no one else comes close. Mike Pence has 7%. Nikki Haley has 3%. Senator Cruz has 2%.

00:16:01.000 And then other people are barely even registering.

00:16:05.760 The reason this matters is not, not because general primary polls are that big a deal,

00:16:12.020 not because we're getting all that close to the actual primaries. A lot could change in the

00:16:15.820 meantime. The reason this matters is the momentum. Trump has regained ground in the GOP.

00:16:23.800 Trump, before the midterms, even before he announced his, his run in 2024, he was the dominant force in

00:16:30.480 the GOP. Many people thought that if he ran for president, he would just clear the field.

00:16:35.640 Then he just kind of started falling down a little bit. He made some missteps and the midterms didn't

00:16:42.260 turn out as well as he and others were hoping. And Ron DeSantis just is pitch perfect. Every single

00:16:48.060 week, he gets a great new headline. He looks good. He's growing in favor with GOP primary voters.

00:16:54.680 And so there was this fear in Trump world, I'm certain, that those trend lines were just going

00:16:59.940 to keep continuing and Trump would disappear and, and Ron DeSantis would be, would become the heir

00:17:04.660 apparent. That does not seem to be happening. Ron DeSantis could easily still become the GOP nominee

00:17:10.560 in 2024, but Trump's 19 point lead right now is up from only an 11 point lead, which he had earlier

00:17:21.160 this month. At that time, Trump had 45% to DeSantis is 34%. Now he's gaining ground. All of which is to

00:17:30.100 say, people think that they know the future. People think that every discrete moment that we're living in,

00:17:34.500 is eternity. And that right now, the way the headlines and the polls look, that is going to

00:17:39.820 be how things are forever. But of course, in politics, things are changing constantly.

00:17:44.620 And it's a reminder that DeSantis is doing everything right. And there are other candidates

00:17:50.520 who are throwing their hats in the rings, even after they had suggested they might not. People

00:17:54.140 like Nikki Haley, Tim Scott appears to be preparing a presidential run. Lots of people who are getting

00:17:59.020 involved. This is still Trump's race to lose. Trump is still the dominant force in the race.

00:18:09.040 Even those of us who have our nose in politics all the time, people who are listening to this show

00:18:15.780 right now are much, much better informed on politics than at least 96% of the country,

00:18:23.020 probably more than that. If you're listening to this show, you have a political interest. You stay up

00:18:27.380 to date on what's going on. You have some understanding of the political philosophy

00:18:30.520 undergirding not only these movements in politics, but the candidates as well.

00:18:35.520 That is not true for most of the country. For most of the country, they just know Trump. They

00:18:42.060 remember Trump because he's been a celebrity for 40 years. And they know that he was the president.

00:18:46.140 I bet you a huge number of Americans, if not most Americans, couldn't tell you who the vice

00:18:51.320 president is. Or certainly not, couldn't tell you very much about who the vice president is. It is

00:18:57.380 still Trump's race to lose. Speaking of vice presidents, there's more classified documents.

00:19:05.280 Everybody has classified documents. Classified documents were found at Mike Pence's house.

00:19:10.120 I think it was actually Mike Pence or one of his lawyers who found them. This after classified

00:19:15.120 documents were found at Biden's house. This after classified documents were found at Trump's house.

00:19:18.940 I am, I'm quite certain, the last political figure in the United States to not have classified documents

00:19:28.680 in my house. And I don't know. Maybe I do. Maybe I don't know how I would have gotten them. But

00:19:33.440 they're cropping up everywhere, including at Mike Pence's house. So what does this mean?

00:19:39.780 It's eliciting very, very interesting responses. Starts with Trump. They find the classified docs.

00:19:47.620 This is the end of the world. This is going to cause nuclear war. They sold state secrets. We got

00:19:53.560 to raid Mar-a-Lago. We got to send in the jackbooted thugs, knock down the president's door. 0.97

00:19:58.100 Oh, we got to get those docs. This is a horrible, we got to prosecute Trump. 0.99

00:20:02.500 Then they find documents at Biden's office. Oh, okay. Now it's not as big a deal. No, it's fine.

00:20:08.660 No, having classified documents, no, forget about it. Biden just did it once. It was at his office.

00:20:12.660 Oh, it was at his house too. Hmm. Well, I'm sure it was really secure. Oh, it was actually next to

00:20:16.680 his Corvette that his degenerate corrupt son was driving. Oh, well. And he didn't even, 0.99

00:20:21.780 the president has a right to declassify whatever he wants, but Biden took those docs when he was

00:20:24.940 vice president. Doesn't have a right to do that. Hmm. Okay. All right. Well, yeah, it's not a big

00:20:28.340 deal. Let's forget about talking about the Trump thing for a while. Oh, but Pence did it. Okay, good.

00:20:32.700 All right. Now it's a big deal again. Now it's a big deal because it's two Republicans did it.

00:20:36.360 It's only one, it's only one Democrat. It's, it's a big deal. It's a really, really big deal.

00:20:42.420 And Trump responds to this. And Trump has had a little bit of a contentious relationship with

00:20:46.940 Mike Pence in recent years because he wanted Mike Pence to refuse to certify the election.

00:20:50.500 And he attacked Mike Pence after Pence wouldn't do that. But Trump says, quote,

00:20:56.280 Mike Pence is an innocent man. He never did anything knowingly dishonest in his life.

00:21:00.640 Leave him alone. Three exclamation marks.

00:21:02.920 Huh. And as with all Trump tweets and comments, and you think, is he, is this ironic? Is it,

00:21:13.320 is he earnest? Is, I think it's earnest. He goes on, he says, they created this documents

00:21:20.880 mess for themselves by being so totally deranged about me. And I did nothing wrong. So Trump saying,

00:21:28.300 it's all about me. They're just trying to get me. Stop going after Pence. Come on. The

00:21:32.760 guy's like the most honest guy in the world. Now, Pence, after Trump's home was raided in August,

00:21:37.940 Pence said, I've not hesitated to criticize the president when I think he was wrong.

00:21:40.600 And clearly possessing classified documents in an unprotected area is not proper.

00:21:47.180 So now you've got Trump being especially magnanimous after Pence, with some good reason,

00:21:55.220 by the way. If I were Pence, I'd be probably pretty miffed at Trump as well. But Pence doesn't

00:21:59.800 defend Trump on the classified documents. Trump does defend Pence. To me, this reads as sincere,

00:22:04.840 though it is helpful to Trump. It shows that Trump was right in the first place

00:22:08.300 about all this classified documents, non-traversy. And it does something that I think really will help

00:22:15.120 Trump and will help to increase his poll numbers, which is it makes Trump look much more loyal.

00:22:23.420 Loyal than other people in politics and loyal than he previously had been. And this is a quality that

00:22:27.780 people love about Trump. And it's not talked about very much. But Donald Trump has been,

00:22:35.020 for a lot of his career, extremely loyal to the people that he is close to. And that started to

00:22:40.120 break down. And the constant focus on the slights against him, especially in the last couple of years,

00:22:45.600 I think has turned a lot of people off and felt like turning away of the focus. But people really

00:22:53.920 like this quality, that Trump will defend his guys and ultimately that Trump will defend you.

00:22:59.280 It's like that meme that he posted during the campaign. Hillary says, I'm with her. He says,

00:23:04.580 I'm with you. He changes the subject and the object of that slogan. Trump says, they're not coming

00:23:10.320 after me. They're coming after you. I just happened to be in the way. That's that connection that Trump

00:23:14.240 has. And I think this looks really, really good for him. The way that I know that I'm right

00:23:20.380 about how to interpret the Pence classified documents non-troversy is that Joy Behar on

00:23:26.220 The View told me that I'm right. You know, the one thing about this that I think is good

00:23:30.660 is when it was just Biden and Trump, I thought, well, maybe Merrick Garland and the special

00:23:35.720 prosecutor will feel like it's politically motivated to go after Trump now, you know,

00:23:39.560 because you got to watch the politics. Now they don't have to worry about that.

00:23:43.020 That's because they've got now they've got, you know, to misery loves company.

00:23:46.440 Well, yeah, it's not politically motivated.

00:23:48.360 There's more misery to come. Now it's not politically motivated. That's the best part.

00:23:53.700 As she describes the most cynical, opportunistic political motivation for a prosecution ever.

00:24:00.460 Oh, I think this is great. I'm glad that that Mike Pence had those documents. This is terrific.

00:24:07.140 Well, hold on. The argument for why you're going to go after Trump on the classified documents

00:24:12.300 is that mishandling classified documents is a very serious, very dangerous crime,

00:24:16.980 right? That's the only reason that you're going to go after him on it. But then Biden did the same

00:24:23.080 thing. He actually did a worse version of the same thing and you let it go. Then Mike Pence did the

00:24:28.780 same thing. And now you're saying, okay, this is good. We can go after Trump again. Oh,

00:24:32.480 Graham's so pleased. But if the crime, the alleged crime itself were so serious,

00:24:37.320 then you wouldn't be happy that it's happening again. If it really posed a danger to national security,

00:24:42.380 you'd say, oh my gosh, three in a row, we're going to die here. Man, this is terrible. I'm sure the

00:24:47.380 Chinese and the Saudis and the, I don't know, whoever else, I'm sure they got this information.

00:24:52.980 This is terrible. No, no, it's totally fake. No one is actually worried at all about these classified 0.95

00:25:01.500 documents sitting in a closet somewhere. When anyone does it, it's pure political opportunism.

00:25:08.260 Joy Behar has no respect for our democratic norms. You know, our sacred democratic norms that the

00:25:16.560 libs always talk about. This is, oh, good. Okay. Two versus one. Great. Let's go after Trump.

00:25:22.120 Speaking of no respect for our democratic norms, Adam Schiff. You know, Adam Schiff is the guy who

00:25:29.280 lied to you, or at least was completely wrong and dishonest about the entire Trump presidency. He's got

00:25:35.600 really swampy ties to the deep state. He said a lot of things that weren't true that exacerbated the

00:25:43.000 impeachment process for Trump. One of the impeachment processes for Trump. He's just, he's one of the

00:25:48.820 worst out there. And so McCarthy removed him from the intelligence committee because Adam Schiff abused

00:25:55.940 his power. Well, Adam Schiff is not going down without a fight. He says, Kevin McCarthy just kicked me and

00:26:02.080 Eric Swalwell off the intelligence committee. Eric Swalwell, who allegedly slept with a Chinese

00:26:06.900 spy. This is petty political payback for investigating Donald Trump. If he thinks this will stop me,

00:26:14.060 he will soon find out just how wrong he is. I will always defend our democracy.

00:26:22.280 Our democracy is what kicked Adam Schiff off the committee in the first place.

00:26:27.080 What, what does the phrase our democracy mean in the sentence that Adam Schiff posted?

00:26:36.840 Adam Schiff was kicked off the intelligence committee by Kevin McCarthy, who was elected

00:26:41.420 speaker of the house by the members of Congress, who were elected by the people in our democracy.

00:26:49.280 Adam Schiff being kicked off this committee is a fairly direct consequence of our democracy.

00:27:02.380 But our democracy, as the libs use that phrase, does not really mean democracy. Sometimes people

00:27:08.840 correct me when I, when I use this phrase, even when I use this phrase as I am right now in jest.

00:27:12.260 They say, Michael, we're a democracy, we're a republic, not a democracy, which is fair enough. And you see

00:27:17.360 the framers of the constitution make this distinction in the Federalist Papers. But what's confusing about

00:27:21.720 it is that in the Federalist, the civilizations that they refer to as democracies really were

00:27:27.640 republics. And the ones they refer to as republics really were democracies. And it's, it's a little

00:27:31.220 difficult to neatly separate those two things. But regardless, let's, let's say we were a democracy.

00:27:38.560 The libs don't care at all about democracy. For the libs, and I don't think they're doing this in

00:27:43.740 any nefarious way. I don't think they're particularly educated or intelligent enough to be using

00:27:50.300 this, the word in this nefarious, intentional way. They, I think they genuinely believe

00:27:56.720 that democracy is synonymous with liberalism. But it's not. People, the democracy can elect

00:28:03.700 right-wing governments just the same as they can elect the libs.

00:28:06.500 That's what happened in Hungary with Viktor Orban. That's what happened in Italy with

00:28:10.760 Georgia Maloney. That's what happened in, that's what happened in the UK with the Brexit. That's

00:28:16.080 what happened in America with Trump. And they just can't accept that. So whenever that happens,

00:28:22.700 whenever the people elect a conservative, they say this is an attack on our democracy,

00:28:25.760 which is obviously incoherent. That's a, uh, internally a contradiction, if you were to say

00:28:32.480 that. But it's just because they, they mean by democracy, liberalism. And so anytime liberalism

00:28:38.620 fails, they, they say it's illegitimate. So what Adam Schiff is saying is, I will defend liberalism.

00:28:45.440 I will defend liberalism to the very end. Even if the people want me gone, I will defend liberalism

00:28:53.120 because the, the, the representatives of liberalism, the expression of liberalism is the deep state,

00:28:57.480 is the swamp, is that the blob liberal establishment that frequently tries to undermine the will of the

00:29:04.040 American people within the confines of the U.S. constitution. The people who are operating within 1.00

00:29:08.820 the confines of the U.S. constitution, the blob deep state liberal establishment that very often

00:29:13.480 is not. Now there is some good news coming out of the deep state. I, I, I want to be as fair as I can

00:29:20.560 to those swampy blob monsters over in D.C. The Department of Justice has just sued Google

00:29:27.020 for having a monopoly over digital ads. The DOJ and several state attorneys general filed a suit

00:29:34.440 against Google on Tuesday for allegedly monopolizing digital ad technologies. Quote,

00:29:39.660 today's complaint alleges that Google has used anti-competitive, exclusionary, and unlawful conduct

00:29:44.480 to eliminate or severely diminish any threat to its dominance over digital ad technologies.

00:29:49.280 The DOJ will vigorously enforce our antitrust laws to protect consumers, safeguard competition,

00:29:54.660 and ensure economic fairness and opportunity for all. Here we arrive at another fork in the road,

00:30:00.860 conservatives. Which way are you going to go? The squishes are going to say, well, I don't know.

00:30:08.120 I mean, yeah, I don't like Google, you know, because Google controls roughly 90% of the flow of

00:30:14.220 information in our country and it's tilted entirely to the left and they censor conservatives and block

00:30:23.320 conservatives from campaigning and rig the search results to promote liberal causes. But at least

00:30:30.740 it's not big government. I don't know. I don't know. This Google, that's a, that Google's a private

00:30:36.360 company. If you don't like the way that Google is completely restructuring our political order in

00:30:42.080 our republic, well, you know, just build your own Google. And then you got the conservatives who

00:30:48.920 will say, no, no. If my speech is being taken away, if my ability to govern myself and to elect

00:31:01.120 representatives who really represent me is being taken away, if my access to information, real

00:31:06.860 information about even politically controversial subjects like vaccines or the coronavirus or

00:31:11.960 immigration or any other number of issues is being taken away. I don't care if it's being

00:31:18.120 taken away by the government or by an allegedly private corporation. I just want to protect my

00:31:24.340 rights. I just want to protect my way of life. So if it's the government going after me, then I'll go

00:31:29.700 after the government. If it's a private corporation going after me, I'll go after a private corporation.

00:31:34.380 And it's not a private corporation, by the way. Google was built with a lot of support from the

00:31:40.880 government. And Google maintains its dominance with a lot of support from the government and

00:31:44.820 from the federal agencies. And in fact, the way that the elite liberals who want to take over the

00:31:51.980 world and make us all eat the bugs and live in the pods and own nothing and be happy, the way that

00:31:56.240 they want to do that is not simply through communism or is not simply through growing the government

00:32:03.500 into a more progressive entity. What they tell you, what the Davos crowd, the World Economic Forum,

00:32:08.400 the elite liberals who have a lot of power, what they tell you is they want to do it through public

00:32:14.000 private partnerships. It's actually still today very hard for the libs to censor you outright

00:32:22.220 through the government. The First Amendment stands in the way. It's tricky.

00:32:26.980 But it's not so hard for the libs to use the government to pressure the allegedly private

00:32:35.040 corporations to do the government's dirty work for it. That's what happened when they booted Trump 0.96

00:32:39.720 off all the platforms. That's what happened when the FBI and the DOJ pressured big tech companies to

00:32:46.120 suppress the Hunter Biden laptop story. Effectively, too. That's very bad, too. So which is it?

00:32:54.880 Are we going to be the little, are we going to be the little squishes? Are we going to be the big

00:32:59.040 bull mooses here? What are we going to do? Are we going to have the guts to take on big power,

00:33:03.920 monopolistic power, wherever it resides, as Teddy Roosevelt told us to do, as Barry Goldwater told

00:33:09.120 us to do, for goodness sakes? Or are we going to be little squishes? Are we going to be court

00:33:13.620 gestures in the kingdom of liberalism and say, well, you know, if we're, if we're, excuse me, if we're

00:33:17.940 really being principled conservatives, the way to be principled is to let a gigantic woke

00:33:22.260 corporations completely destroy our way of life. No, I don't think so. I don't think so.

00:33:28.760 Even more good news coming out of the swamps. We were talking about the classified documents

00:33:33.080 scandal before. The feds have raided Joe Biden's home. Federal officials searched Biden's home in

00:33:39.700 Wilmington, Delaware. They discovered even more classified material than previously had turned up

00:33:45.160 at one of his offices at his fake think tank that had been funded with Chinese money. And at his home,

00:33:51.260 they found even more classified documents. DOJ took possession of materials it deemed within the

00:33:56.100 scope of its inquiry, including six items consisting of documents with classification markings and

00:34:00.920 surrounding materials, some of which were from the president's service in the Senate, and some of

00:34:06.200 which were from his tenure as VP. That's according to Biden's personal lawyer. So hold on, now it's not

00:34:13.340 even just from the Obama years. Now it goes all the way back to when he was a senator. Biden hasn't been

00:34:17.200 a senator since what? 2008? This goes back a very, very long time. It probably won't amount to much of

00:34:26.260 anything. But I suspect the reason that they conducted this raid is they had to. It would have looked so

00:34:32.060 transparently corrupt had they not done it because they did the same thing to Trump. And so what you have

00:34:40.200 here, I think, is what La Rochefoucauld described as hypocrisy being the tribute that vice pays to

00:34:48.180 virtue. These are vicious, corrupt people running our government. But I think they sort of recognized 0.97

00:34:56.840 here it would look so transparent if they didn't raid Biden. It almost certainly won't amount to

00:35:03.820 anything. But at least it is an acknowledgement. The very fact that the DOJ, the FBI raided the home

00:35:10.960 is an acknowledgement that these are the same things. And whatever you want to accuse Trump of

00:35:15.980 doing, you can accuse Biden of doing tenfold. That's always the thing. Whatever you want to

00:35:20.720 accuse Republicans of doing, you can accuse the Democrats of doing tenfold. Yesterday, I told you

00:35:25.800 how we are all one step closer to eating the bugs. The EU officially enacted a statute to allow those

00:35:31.240 food producers to incorporate cricket powder into flour-based products. Not because it tastes better,

00:35:37.120 not because we've developed a new refined palate for insects, but because the political elites have

00:35:41.320 deemed that it's better for the environment and they can make a lot of money doing it. So right down

00:35:46.360 to the food you eat, the world wants to make you woke, but not Dennis Prager. He wants to make you

00:35:51.300 wise. And the founder of PragerU is going to do just that with a never-before-seen series exclusively on

00:35:57.120 Daily Wire Plus called The Master's Program with Dennis Prager. We at The Daily Wire have a

00:36:03.340 long-standing friendship with Dennis going back many, many years. One of my absolute favorite

00:36:09.220 cigar buddies in all of Los Angeles. You may have seen my book club over on PragerU. You might have

00:36:15.460 seen one of PragerU's famous five-minute videos. I've done a bunch of those as well. In fact, PragerU,

00:36:21.060 Alan Estrin, the executive director of PragerU, gave me the idea for my book, Speechless,

00:36:25.860 Controlling Words, Controlling Minds. So I just obviously love PragerU, love Dennis Prager. He's

00:36:31.160 got a wealth of experience. And what the Master's Program aims to do is take 40 years of wisdom and

00:36:36.500 experience from one of the most influential conservative thinkers in America and distill

00:36:40.520 it all down to its essence. He covers topics such as the consequences of secularism, is human nature

00:36:46.180 basically good? It's a thought-provoking and illuminating work. The first two episodes of

00:36:51.520 PragerU's Master's Program are available to stream right now exclusively on Daily Wire Plus.

00:36:55.860 Head on over to dailywireplus.com, become a member, and watch PragerU Master's Program and more.

00:37:00.360 That's dailywireplus.com. Speaking of raids, Dave Chappelle is being raided and attacked by

00:37:09.720 transgender activists. Here he explains.

00:37:13.060 So I get to the show that night, and of course, protesters came. Uh, what a scene.

00:37:19.240 Mayor, you wouldn't believe it. These were grown people of various genders and gender identities.

00:37:24.800 They threw eggs. They threw eggs that the people were lined up to see the show.

00:37:29.280 I didn't know that.

00:37:29.720 Oh, yeah. They was doing all that s***. One lady was so mad with the protesters, 1.00

00:37:34.360 she picked up a police barricade. You never seen anything? It looked like a bike rat.

00:37:38.260 This b***h picked that barricade up by herself and threw it at the crowd. I gotta tell you, 1.00

00:37:44.920 it's an amazing feat of strength for a woman.

00:37:46.760 So it really sounds like an exciting scene. As Chappelle goes on, he says,

00:37:53.120 trying to silence a person like me, I don't think it has anything to do with being loved.

00:37:56.480 They want to be feared. If you say this, then we will punish you. We'll come to First Avenue and F

00:38:01.740 your show up, and we'll come to the Varsity Theater and F your show up. And they just don't get to do

00:38:06.160 that. Dave's describing this behavior. He says, man, this is a crazy behavior.

00:38:11.260 Why are they doing this? He says, well, he's trying to think of it really rationally. He says,

00:38:17.680 well, they're doing it because they want power. I'm sure that's true. And they're doing it because

00:38:21.100 they want to intimidate me and shut me up. Yeah, I'm sure that's true. You know why else they're

00:38:24.220 doing it? Do you know why else these transgender activists are behaving like crazy people in public? 1.00

00:38:33.840 Because they're crazy people. Sometimes the simplest answer really is the best and the most 0.99

00:38:41.080 persuasive. These are very, very crazy people. If you are a man and you think that you're a woman, 0.99

00:38:47.640 you're a very crazy person and you need psychological help. I'm not saying that to be 1.00

00:38:52.220 mean to anybody or to make anybody feel small or belittled, but you have serious problems if you

00:38:58.720 think that. And you need to go get help. Because if you don't get help, if you indulge these delusions,

00:39:03.760 you're just going to act crazier and crazier. So what do we do about this? What do we do about

00:39:10.940 crazy people generally? You know, the Britney Spears conservatorship was a real illuminating

00:39:19.320 incident on this kind of a question because we didn't know exactly how to react. We also didn't

00:39:26.800 have perfect information. Is Britney Spears really having psychological problems? Is she totally fine 0.99

00:39:32.940 and she's just being kept a prisoner because of her corrupt and greedy father or that? We didn't 0.99

00:39:38.900 really quite know. But there was an even deeper question, which is, well, let's say she is kind

00:39:44.380 of crazy. Should she really be under a conservatorship or should she be free to act as crazy as she 0.99

00:39:50.560 wants? We've come to another fork in the road here. Which way are you going to go? The squishes and the 0.98

00:39:59.740 libs and our society for the last 50 years has said, hey, if you're crazy and you're in deep distress 0.92

00:40:07.920 and you have trouble functioning in society and you can't really take care of yourself and that's your 0.95

00:40:14.000 problem. You still have a right to do whatever you want to do. You want to go dance around throwing

00:40:21.040 eggs in the air at a Dave Chappelle show? That's totally fine. You want to go live on the street and

00:40:25.480 do a bunch of drugs down on Skid Row? That's totally fine. You want to have public meltdowns

00:40:30.540 everywhere? That's your right to do it. Because of your bodily sovereignty and autonomy and self-ownership

00:40:36.820 or whatever. But the conservative response is, no, if you are not in possession of your rational

00:40:44.220 faculties, if you do not have a properly functioning rational will, then not only do you not have a right

00:40:51.700 to be left alone and do whatever you want, you don't have the capacity to do that. You don't have

00:40:57.020 the ability to do that. You see this in the big divide over insane asylums. For pretty much all 0.73

00:41:06.920 of world history, we had insane asylums for people who were too crazy to take care of themselves. 0.96

00:41:13.180 Then in the middle of the 20th century, we decided to close down all of the insane asylums. 1.00

00:41:17.320 And we did that probably with good intention because they're not particularly pleasant places,

00:41:22.380 because mental illness is deeply unpleasant and very scary. And because we thought, well, 0.98

00:41:26.800 we've got drugs now to treat this so people don't need to be kept in these asylums. Problem is, 1.00

00:41:30.780 though, you let the people out, they stop taking the drugs, and they behave like crazy people.

00:41:34.800 And then we not only indulge mental illness, but in recent years, we've come to exalt it. We've come 0.85

00:41:41.480 to praise it. We've come to reward mental illness. Now mental illness carries a cachet. 0.98

00:41:45.760 Today, people, especially young people, will brag about having a mental illness.

00:41:51.900 It gives you some extra intersectionality points. Well, I'm not black. I'm not gay. I'm not a Muslim. 0.87

00:41:58.840 I'm not, hmm, I don't have any of these. Well, at least I'm mentally ill. At least I can say, 0.97

00:42:02.440 wait, I need to focus on my mental health. That's a phrase that people use now as casual conversation. 0.88

00:42:08.000 That would not have been the case even 10 years ago. No one would have been bragging about saying,

00:42:11.640 oh, I've got a lot of mental illnesses. I say, oh, bro, we got to get you help.

00:42:17.300 So where do we go from here? Until the conservatives are willing to reassert

00:42:26.440 a sane vision on society and willing to wield political power to cultivate that sane

00:42:35.360 sensibility in society. Until we reopen some insane asylums. Until we put some restrictions on 1.00

00:42:44.000 how crazy people behave out in public. Until we acknowledge and enforce certain norms and

00:42:51.720 standards like saying boys are boys and girls are girls. And if you're a boy, then you can't pretend

00:42:55.580 to be a girl in public. That's weird stuff. And we're going to put you in psychiatric treatment if 1.00

00:42:59.600 you do that. Until we start wielding that kind of political power, Dave Chappelle is going to get

00:43:05.640 more eggs in the face. Speaking of psychiatry, new research. There's a new study. You remember

00:43:13.260 yesterday, if you listened to the show yesterday, I talked about how there's so often new studies

00:43:18.280 that have the shocking news that our common sense was right all along. But because we live in a

00:43:23.920 scientific age, we only believe things when they come in studies. And when they've got lots of

00:43:28.080 statistics and peer-reviewed clinical numbers in them to tell us things that we knew the whole

00:43:32.740 time. Well, here's the new shocking study. Antidepressant drugs can dull your emotions.

00:43:43.240 This is a headline. Antidepressant drugs do what they say that they will do. They blunt your emotions.

00:43:52.700 But not just in the good way. Not just in the way that they're sold in the commercials.

00:43:55.740 Also in the bad way. These drugs not only make your depressive periods less severe. They also make

00:44:06.980 your joys less exciting. They make your joys less joyful. Quote, emotional blunting is a common

00:44:16.460 side effect of SSRI antidepressants, according to Professor Barbara Sahakian at the University of

00:44:22.420 Cambridge. In a way, this may be in part how they work. Yeah, exactly. They take away some of the

00:44:27.120 emotional pain that people who experience depression feel. But unfortunately, it seems that

00:44:31.560 they also take away some of the enjoyment. I hate these drugs. I don't have personal experience with

00:44:38.700 them. I know that some people write in, they say, antidepressant drugs were very helpful to me,

00:44:42.380 or they saved my life. I'm not saying that there's no application for them ever in any case.

00:44:46.640 But for the vast majority of people who are on these drugs right now and who are on these drugs

00:44:51.560 for a long period of time, it is a bad idea. And part of the reason that people are constantly

00:44:59.360 being prescribed these drugs is because it's big money. Antidepressants are a $17 billion a year

00:45:04.740 industry. They're set to grow to a $22 billion per year industry by 2027. And here's how I know

00:45:11.560 that too many people are on these drugs, that probably most people on these drugs should never

00:45:16.380 touch these things. 13% of American adults take antidepressant drugs. 13%. And when you just look

00:45:27.580 at women, the number goes up to 18%. One in five women in our country regularly takes depression drugs.

00:45:37.300 That is not, here's a medical intervention to maybe get you through a particularly difficult period

00:45:45.340 to then allow psychological or religious intervention to come in and help ameliorate

00:45:52.180 your problem. No, that is just drug addiction. There is no way that it's just a fact of the human

00:46:01.880 condition that one in five women needs to be on these insane, expensive, powerful drugs 1.00

00:46:07.720 that blunt your experience of humanity. That is a national scandal. That is evil. And it's nothing

00:46:14.320 new exactly, specifically with the women. For all of human history, we have been trying to cure women 1.00

00:46:20.660 of womanhood. There are all these interventions that we've had to cure women of the eccentricities 1.00

00:46:27.740 that go along with being women. Before we plied them all with zombie drugs, we went in and scrambled 1.00

00:46:34.400 up their brains. We gave them lobotomies in the middle of the 20th century. Before that, we had all

00:46:39.320 sorts of creative, imaginative treatments for hysteria, for going back actually to the ancient

00:46:46.700 world. We're always trying to cure women of being women. And now we're trying to cure humanity 1.00

00:46:53.860 of any sense of suffering. But suffering is a sanctifying thing. And if you are constantly

00:47:06.200 throughout your whole life reliant on some very powerful psychology-altering drug, mind-altering

00:47:14.660 drug to deal with that, something has gone wrong. And maybe there are even a handful of people who

00:47:20.720 really need that kind of intervention. It's a fallen world. Some people have really severe

00:47:24.100 problems. One in five Americans? No, I don't think so. I think that is a national scandal.

00:47:32.560 And the more we've learned about big pharma over the years, the less and less likely I am to give

00:47:38.060 them the benefit of the doubt. And the more I hope Republicans start pushing on this, not just on the

00:47:42.840 COVID vaccines, but on this scandal that we are plying a fifth of the population in certain cases,

00:47:49.380 at least 13 percent, with very expensive, powerful drugs to deprive them of beautiful aspects of

00:47:57.280 their humanity. The rest of the show continues now. You don't want to miss it because sometimes

00:48:03.140 Mr. Davies and the producers over there, they get very, very upset because they say, I want you to

00:48:07.660 talk about this story. I say, I don't want to talk about that story. Michael, I want to hear you talk

00:48:12.060 about that. I say, listen, I got to focus on important things. I got to talk about the sexy green

00:48:16.040 M&M. Okay, I can't, I don't have time for it. So they have found a story that I've not gotten to

00:48:20.420 this week. They want my expert opinion on it. Become a member right now. Use code Knowles,

00:48:46.040 So, likewise, everyone, they came from the picture at the plant. Do you feel a bit like this,

00:48:59.480 like I said, you need to be a designer analyst. You've got to talk about what's going on now.

00:49:05.200 Say you show every Monday. I have Wake story but you've got to work with

00:49:09.860 that. Right.
