Ep. 1175 - Trump Declares War On Woke

Summary

Trump announces a ban on all forms of transgenderism at any age and calls it an act of child sexual mutilation. This is the kind of bold, clear-eyed leadership that reminds me why I love primaries and why you should too.

00:00:35.720 Good Ranchers, American meat delivered.
00:00:37.700 President Trump has just released his campaign policy platform for transgenderism, and it is simply magnificent.
00:00:45.460 The left-wing gender insanity being pushed on our children is an act of child abuse.
00:00:51.380 Very simple.
00:00:52.060 Here's my plan to stop the chemical, physical, and emotional mutilation of our youth.
00:00:58.540 On day one, I will revoke Joe Biden's cruel policies on so-called gender-affirming care.
00:01:06.720 Ridiculous.
00:01:07.620 A process that includes giving kids puberty blockers, mutating their physical appearance, and ultimately performing surgery on minor children.
00:01:17.920 Can you believe this?
00:01:19.000 I will sign a new executive order instructing every federal agency to cease all programs that promote the concept of sex and gender transition at any age.
00:01:30.420 I will then ask Congress to permanently stop federal taxpayer dollars from being used to promote or pay for these procedures,
00:01:38.860 and pass a law prohibiting child sexual mutilation in all 50 states.
00:01:43.640 It will go very quickly.
00:01:44.600 I will declare that any hospital or health care provider that participates in the chemical or physical mutilation of minor youth will no longer meet federal health and safety standards for Medicaid and Medicare,
00:01:58.980 and will be terminated from the program immediately.
00:02:02.280 Furthermore, I will support the creation of a private right of action for victims to sue doctors who have unforgivably performed these procedures on minor children.
00:02:13.660 So Trump is proposing a private right of action for any citizen to sue doctors for transing the kids.
00:02:22.280 But in the first part, Trump makes clear he's not just talking about banning transgenderism for kids.
00:02:27.880 He's talking about outlawing it entirely at any age, which Trump makes super clear later in the announcement.
00:02:35.060 We will promote positive education about the nuclear family, the roles of mothers and fathers,
00:02:42.100 and celebrating rather than erasing the things that make men and women different and unique.
00:02:47.500 I will ask Congress to pass a bill establishing that the only genders recognized by the United States government are male and female,
00:02:56.520 and they are assigned at birth.
00:02:58.500 What Trump is proposing would effectively ban transgenderism in all of its pernicious aspects from every area of society.
00:03:08.120 This is the kind of bold, clear-eyed leadership that reminds me why I love Trump.
00:03:15.100 It's also the kind of proposal that reminds me why I love primaries.
00:03:20.240 Because Trump is not the first guy to propose clamping down on the trans nonsense.
00:03:25.560 Governors and state legislators around the country are right now working to restrict transgenderism.
00:03:32.100 Glenn Youngkin won Virginia on the issue.
00:03:34.620 My own state of Tennessee has just moved forward on this issue.
00:03:38.620 Most importantly in this case, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has won lots of plaudits on the issue,
00:03:44.640 specifically by restricting transgender ideology in elementary schools.
00:03:49.400 So, since Ron DeSantis is currently Trump's chief rival in 2024,
00:03:56.360 Trump now promises to go further, much further than DeSantis has.
00:04:01.620 For now.
00:04:02.960 Who knows if and how DeSantis will respond.
00:04:05.700 He might go even further than that.
00:04:08.140 I know that lots of people don't like this kind of fighting.
00:04:13.040 Lots of people want the 2024 primary to end before it begins.
00:04:17.200 They either want Trump to drop out and endorse DeSantis,
00:04:20.820 or they want DeSantis to decline to run and endorse Trump.
00:04:25.100 But one of the best things about primaries is that they force the candidates to move further to the right
00:04:31.660 as they attempt to outflank each other.
00:04:34.820 Primaries toughen up the candidates.
00:04:37.040 They reveal potential weaknesses.
00:04:39.040 And they force candidates to take strong conservative positions to win over the primary base.
00:04:45.240 We are already seeing that happen in a big way on a very important issue.
00:04:50.980 And we are still 16 months out from the Republican National Convention.
00:04:54.920 At this rate, with these candidates, think of how much tougher we can make the eventual nominee
00:05:01.380 before he takes the convention stage.
00:05:04.060 I'm Michael Knowles.
00:05:04.860 This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:05:05.660 Welcome back to the show.
00:05:13.960 My favorite comment yesterday is from Big G, who says,
00:05:16.520 I'm sorry, Michael, I have to defend Kamala Harris, and I do think she has a lot to say.
00:05:21.320 I credit her for getting my kindergartner into politics,
00:05:24.340 as finally there is a politician who speaks like a kindergarten teacher or a kindergarten student.
00:05:28.980 You're so right.
00:05:30.040 She does.
00:05:30.580 She has, except I don't want to diminish kindergarten teachers.
00:05:33.120 There are many wonderful kindergarten teachers out there.
00:05:36.060 I still talk to my kindergarten teacher.
00:05:39.260 I would hate to compare her to Kamala Harris.
00:05:42.240 But Kamala Harris does.
00:05:43.300 She says, wow.
00:05:44.000 And then the rocket ship goes, and then it goes up.
00:05:49.420 That's true.
00:05:50.580 That's true.
00:05:51.120 It's sort of like she would be a kindergarten teacher at a failing elementary school.
00:05:54.720 It's not good.
00:05:55.780 When I think back to my time in kindergarten, I think, wow, I'm so much older now.
00:05:59.920 I got to make sure that I look good, that I keep staying vibrant and youthful.
00:06:04.420 That's why you got to check out GenuCell.
00:06:06.240 I am thrilled to be partnering with GenuCell Skin Care.
00:06:10.160 One, because the product is great.
00:06:11.760 Their most popular package can take 10 to 15 years off your skin right now.
00:06:16.840 And you can get it for 70% off with their latest breakthrough in skincare technology,
00:06:21.240 a probiotic moisturizer, which is absolutely free.
00:06:24.120 Turns out probiotics are not just good for your gut.
00:06:26.260 They're also good for your skin.
00:06:27.900 The other reason I'm so thrilled to partner, though, with GenuCell is I just love their story.
00:06:32.800 GenuCell was founded by a Coptic Christian in Egypt who left Egypt to pursue the American dream.
00:06:39.560 He started to formulate his products when a customer came in and requested this one specific ingredient.
00:06:46.720 And he sold it to her at material cost.
00:06:48.700 He never thought he was going to make money at this.
00:06:50.320 He was just kind of running his shop.
00:06:52.920 And then it became very, very popular.
00:06:55.540 Dermatologists started calling him about it.
00:06:57.340 He's still involved in formulating all of the products.
00:07:00.160 It's just a wonderful story.
00:07:02.120 Great guy.
00:07:02.900 Great company.
00:07:03.980 So head on over right now to GenuCell.com slash Knowles for the first time ever.

00:07:18.560 GenuCell.com slash Knowles.
00:07:21.160 I love it.
00:07:22.160 I love that Trump announcement.
00:07:24.920 I know.
00:07:25.900 I know.
00:07:27.060 Every conservative pundit in America is supposed to hate Trump now.
00:07:30.620 And we're all supposed to say, we've got to move on from Trump.
00:07:33.480 He's too old.
00:07:34.800 He's terrible.
00:07:35.900 We all, I'm sorry.
00:07:36.480 I love the guy.
00:07:37.220 I'm sorry.
00:07:38.320 Don't know what to tell you.
00:07:39.380 I really like the guy.
00:07:40.500 I'm not saying he's going to get the nomination.
00:07:42.180 I'm not saying that the other candidates should drop out.
00:07:45.680 I don't think so at all.
00:07:46.520 There's, there are a number of very, very strong Republicans who could make a great nominee in 2024.
00:07:53.920 Right now, at this moment, leading the pack in the popular imagination is, is Ron DeSantis.
00:07:59.800 He's doing a great job in Florida.
00:08:01.640 But I'm sorry.
00:08:02.420 I just can't, I can't totally throw out Trump.
00:08:04.600 He's the best president of my lifetime.
00:08:06.760 He knocked down Roe v. Wade.
00:08:08.480 I just, I really like the guy.
00:08:10.060 And I like that he is now staking out a very right-wing position.
00:08:14.800 Don't forget, when the transgender question first was posed to Trump back in 2016, he kind of punted on it.
00:08:22.660 The first time that that question came up to Trump, they asked him,
00:08:27.520 Donald, what is your view on the transgender bathroom laws in North Carolina
00:08:32.220 that ban men from going into the women's bathroom and vice versa?
00:08:35.920 And Trump's answer was not simply that men shouldn't go into the girls' room.
00:08:41.000 That was Ted Cruz's answer.
00:08:42.840 Trump's answer was, I don't know, what were they doing before?
00:08:44.840 Just, let's just keep doing that.
00:08:45.900 That seems like it was fine.
00:08:46.760 I don't want to, I don't know, who cares about this transgender thing?
00:08:49.700 Now, though, that's a very important issue.
00:08:51.560 Potential rivals, like Ron DeSantis, have staked out pretty conservative stances on that issue.
00:08:58.540 And so Trump is moving further to the right.
00:09:01.180 And then you look down in Florida, DeSantis is continuing to fight on this issue.
00:09:04.920 DeSantis is now promising to stop sex change procedures on minors.
00:09:10.160 You have, and this is sad, but this is going on, you're having, in our society, they're giving teenagers, kids, puberty blockers.
00:09:21.560 They're changing, they're doing sex change operations.
00:09:24.440 And so we actually have very, you know, young adults who went through this when they were minors.
00:09:28.520 And they're saying this was a huge mistake.
00:09:30.880 And in fact, it's not evidence-based when you start talking about sex changes and puberty blockers.
00:09:35.640 So we've worked through our department or our medical licensing board to say that you in the state of Florida,
00:09:43.260 if you're performing those procedures on these minors, you're going to lose your medical license here in Florida.
00:09:49.840 So that is happening.
00:09:51.820 We're also going to work with the legislature to make sure that we put that into statute
00:09:57.080 so that you're able to have accountability in that sphere.
00:10:01.660 Really great stuff.
00:10:02.880 If you trans the kids, you're going to lose your medical license.
00:10:05.120 I love this.
00:10:05.860 Now, this position is not as far right as the position that Trump staked out in that policy platform.
00:10:13.800 DeSantis' position is don't trans the kids.
00:10:16.880 Trump's position is don't trans anybody.
00:10:19.340 We're going to outlaw this gender ideology everywhere.
00:10:22.880 So the question then that I would have for DeSantis is,
00:10:26.400 is he not going further out of principle or out of political necessity?
00:10:33.420 It could be the case that DeSantis is not going further, at least not yet, because it's very difficult to.
00:10:43.240 And there's not a huge outcry to ban transgenderism generally.
00:10:47.560 The big outcry is to stop it in the elementary schools.
00:10:51.580 That's why you had the, it was maligned as the don't say gay bill, but its defenders ended up calling it the wait till eight bill,
00:10:59.040 which is that you couldn't learn about transgenderism in elementary schools until you were in the fourth grade.
00:11:04.140 Do you think that's the bar now that we've set?
00:11:06.160 And even that was controversial.
00:11:07.340 So is it political necessity?
00:11:09.460 If that's it, then I'm, and I think DeSantis is doing a fabulous job.
00:11:13.560 Or is DeSantis limiting his attacks on transgenderism out of principle?
00:11:19.120 You've heard many people say, well, listen, I don't care if a grown man wants to chop off his genitals and put on a dress and call himself Sally, that's his right.
00:11:27.580 He's got a right to do that.
00:11:28.680 This is America.
00:11:29.300 And if you want to strap on stilettos and put a little makeup on your giant Adam's apple and head out there to the bar and pick up some confused man, that's your right to do it.
00:11:39.340 Of course, there is no such right.
00:11:40.560 You have no right to change your genitals.
00:11:42.200 You have no right to pretend to be the opposite sex.
00:11:44.220 This has never been considered a right ever in American history.
00:11:47.620 There have actually been many laws against this sort of thing, even in liberal places like San Francisco.
00:11:51.640 But if that's the principle, this kind of radical libertarian, you do you, just don't make me pay for it, and don't do it to the kids, that's a little squishy to me.
00:12:03.060 That sounds a little squishy.
00:12:04.320 Nobody has a right to transgenderism.
00:12:06.060 It's deeply disordered.
00:12:07.420 The people who are doing it obviously have a lot of problems going on in their brain.
00:12:12.060 A compassionate society will give them help and dispel their delusions, not indulge their delusions.
00:12:17.340 If it's out of political necessity, which I suspect it is, Ron DeSantis is a very smart guy.
00:12:23.880 And I've only met him on one occasion.
00:12:26.180 He was very impressive.
00:12:27.460 I watched him give a speech.
00:12:29.120 I felt I could have written every syllable of that speech.
00:12:31.800 I agreed with it.
00:12:32.760 So I think he's on the right page here.
00:12:34.660 And talk is cheap, so you can offer a policy platform.
00:12:37.940 But if you're actually doing something, I think that's going to carry more weight.
00:12:40.700 But we've got to suss this out.
00:12:42.320 We've got to make sure in the 2024 primary, it is, yes, of course, we shouldn't trans the kids.
00:12:47.340 That should be the base level.
00:12:48.540 But we should go further.
00:12:49.760 Why shouldn't we trans the kids?
00:12:51.120 Because transgenderism is absurd and wrong and harmful to everybody.
00:12:54.640 And it's an anthropological lie.
00:12:57.160 And we should, therefore, not indulge it for anybody, okay?
00:13:01.360 We need to have a sane, normal society.
00:13:04.320 And we need to make sure that whoever is the eventual nominee recognizes the problem is not just that we're transing the eight-year-olds and they need to wait until they're 12.
00:13:12.120 We need to stop transing everybody.
00:13:15.560 Because pretty soon we're going to have a trans society.
00:13:18.120 And up is going to be down and left is going to be right.
00:13:20.680 And truth is going to be considered falsehood.
00:13:23.320 When you're worried about social turmoil, you've got to check out Jace Medical.
00:13:27.440 If the past couple of years has taught us anything, it is that in a crisis like a global pandemic or a natural disaster, even the basics can be very hard to come by.

00:13:39.280 Jace Medical is here to help.

00:14:14.900 I just love this.

00:14:17.780 China invades Taiwan.

00:14:43.020 Speaking of Florida and Ron DeSantis fighting the culture wars,
00:14:47.400 you know there was a story about the AP Black Studies Curriculum.
00:14:52.120 There's a course out of the college board.
00:14:54.120 It's for a new AP class.
00:14:56.760 AP stands for Advanced Placement.
00:14:58.960 These are supposedly college-level classes that people take in high school.
00:15:03.620 But they're actually just high school classes.
00:15:05.060 They're just slightly more advanced, and so the teachers flatter the students by calling it a college course.
00:15:13.780 But they're taught in high schools.
00:15:15.380 This is for kids 14 years old to 18 years old.
00:15:18.440 And this Black Studies course taught all sorts of crazy things about queer studies, about feminist studies,
00:15:26.460 about anti-whiteness, about all the rest of it.
00:15:29.560 And so DeSantis says, we're going to boot this out of Florida high schools.
00:15:35.140 Now, of course, the libs call him a big, terrible racist.
00:15:38.740 But one Florida Democrat county commissioner who happens to be a black man is agreeing with Santis.
00:15:45.660 He says, Leon County Commissioner Bill Proctor says, I think it's trash.
00:15:49.320 There's grave concern about the tone and the tenor of leadership's voice
00:15:53.040 from the highest spaces in our state being hostile to the teaching of African American history.
00:15:57.880 Frankly, I'm against the college board's curriculum.
00:16:01.100 I think it's trash.
00:16:02.400 It's not African American history.
00:16:04.080 It is ideology.
00:16:05.480 I've taught African American history.
00:16:07.040 I've structured syllabuses for African American history.
00:16:09.500 I am African American history.
00:16:11.320 And talking about queer and feminism and all of that for the struggle for freedom and equality and justice,
00:16:18.880 black history has nothing to do with queerness and feminist thought at all.
00:16:23.120 Totally, totally agree.
00:16:25.040 He's obviously right.
00:16:25.940 And it shows you what the Democrats are counting on.
00:16:31.660 What the libs are counting on here is that they can call anything they want black.
00:16:37.040 They can call anything they want, you know, a women's issue.
00:16:41.580 They can call any crazy thing they want a civil rights issue.
00:16:45.760 And then they will divide people based on race and sex.
00:16:49.080 So they take this radical course based on the cultural developments of 20th century Western Marxism, critical theory,
00:16:59.600 which is what all of these studies courses come out of.
00:17:02.600 And they say, okay, well, we're going to teach you about weird gay stuff and weird feminist stuff and all sorts,
00:17:08.300 and anti-white people and to hate the Western civilization.
00:17:12.060 But as long as we call it black studies, no one's going to be able to criticize it.
00:17:17.440 And then this black county commissioner says, I can criticize it.
00:17:20.260 Why the hell are you teaching people about weird queer stuff under the banner of black studies?
00:17:24.800 Doesn't make any sense.
00:17:26.860 It's transparent.
00:17:27.620 All it requires is a little bit of courage from people to say, hold on, you're not going to pull the wool over my eyes.
00:17:32.620 Don't tell me that pushing transgenderism is somehow essential to teaching the black experience in America.
00:17:41.800 Give me a break.
00:17:43.240 And so the pushback from the state, obviously starting with DeSantis, but other people like this county commissioner, it's working.
00:17:50.940 The college board has now revised the black studies course and said that they'll tone it down a little bit.
00:17:56.440 So they're taking out aspects like black queer studies, intersectionality and activism, black feminist literary thought, the reparations movement.
00:18:07.160 These writers, Kimberlé Crenshaw, the communist terrorist Angela Davis.
00:18:12.000 They're now apparently removing all of these things and adding in new student project sections that will replace them that are somewhat less controversial.
00:18:23.320 This, again, is where I love the primary process.
00:18:29.920 Because don't kid yourself, I know DeSantis hasn't declared he's running yet, but he is, practically speaking, running for president right now.
00:18:35.740 He's got his campaign book coming out.
00:18:37.800 He is being attacked by the only declared Republican candidate right now.
00:18:41.800 He's holding press conferences constantly.
00:18:43.320 He's raising a lot of money.
00:18:44.140 So, you have to view what's going on in the state of Florida through the lens of the 2024 Republican presidential primary.
00:18:50.680 And that's a good thing.
00:18:51.940 I like that.
00:18:52.880 Because DeSantis is already moving to the right.
00:18:55.460 He's already doing a great job governing in Florida.
00:18:57.060 This is going to increase the pressure to go even further to the right.
00:19:00.080 And what I would say here is, stand firm.
00:19:04.880 Black studies has no place in high schools.
00:19:09.000 Women's studies has no place in high schools.
00:19:13.260 None of the critical studies departments and pseudo-academic disciplines have any place in high schools.
00:19:21.980 Those studies disciplines are a thinly veiled ideological lesson plan for a left-wing activism that is grounded in the Western Marxist tradition.
00:19:38.200 That's all it's about.
00:19:39.540 It's about the Frankfurt School.
00:19:41.060 It's about the new left of the 1960s, some of the exponents of the Frankfurt School like Herbert Marcuse.
00:19:47.300 It's about a radical leftist agenda that says that the activists are going to go into the schools.
00:19:54.900 They're going to transform the common sense.
00:19:58.120 They're going to achieve cultural hegemony.
00:19:59.600 And they're going to have a revolution, not by convincing the workers of the world to unite and throw off the shackles at the factory,
00:20:06.400 but by poisoning the minds of Westerners to hate their own country, to hate their traditions, and to disavow the greatest achievements of their culture.
00:20:14.340 Kick this crap out of the schools.
00:20:16.600 I don't care.
00:20:17.300 I'm glad they got rid of intersectionality lessons in the class.
00:20:20.160 I'm glad they got rid of the weird queer stuff.
00:20:22.520 It's not enough.
00:20:23.560 Get rid of the studies departments.
00:20:25.240 Students teach history, teach English, teach math, teach biology, teach normal subjects that will edify students and help their education.
00:20:38.240 All this radical studies kind of nonsense, get it out of there.
00:20:43.460 Look at what they're doing at the State University of New York right now.
00:20:46.140 So SUNY, which is the state university up in New York, they've got a lot of campuses.
00:20:52.100 All 64 campuses will now require freshman students to complete a diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice course.
00:21:01.960 This will be a requirement for graduation.
00:21:06.580 Now, you'll hear the squishy people say, well, this is an assault on academic freedom.
00:21:12.780 You're going to hear the squishy people on both sides say that.
00:21:14.800 This is an assault on academic freedom to try to ban the DEI classes.
00:21:19.460 Or this is an assault on academic freedom to require students to take the DEI classes.
00:21:24.620 But I have no problem with students being required to take certain classes.
00:21:28.080 In fact, I wish that I had been required to take more specific classes.
00:21:31.960 I wish that the common core curriculum, not common core like the terrible math program in schools,
00:21:38.200 but I mean the core, the Western canon, the great books,
00:21:40.940 I wish that were still being mandated in schools.
00:21:43.360 It no longer is.
00:21:44.180 I see no problem with requiring students to take some classes.
00:21:47.540 They just shouldn't be required to take these classes.
00:21:50.700 The principle that's operating here in these liberal schools,
00:21:53.340 certainly at the State University of New York,
00:21:54.900 but you're even seeing it with the movements from the public schools in Florida
00:21:58.880 and elsewhere around the country.
00:22:00.180 It's the same principle as a Catholic school requiring students to take a catechism class.
00:22:04.520 The Catholics make you learn the catechism and the libs make you learn diversity, equity, and inclusion.
00:22:13.400 It's just the moral framework, the basics of the faith for two different faiths.
00:22:19.920 One being the Christian faith, the other being liberalism, being leftism.
00:22:24.220 So that's what they're doing.
00:22:25.900 It was always that way.
00:22:27.720 The universities in America all began as seminaries, the really great prominent universities,
00:22:34.780 and they are still seminaries.
00:22:37.160 They're just no longer seminaries for Christianity.
00:22:40.160 They're seminaries for liberalism.
00:22:41.560 They're seminaries for leftism.
00:22:43.180 We shouldn't be shocked when they mandate these kinds of courses.
00:22:47.900 We should stop it.
00:22:49.480 But in order to stop it, we're not going to be able to just make these weak procedural arguments
00:22:54.860 or these abstract arguments about academic freedom that are ultimately incoherent,
00:23:00.220 especially because academic freedom is not something that conservatives traditionally even like.
00:23:04.340 The modern conservative movement was launched making fun of academic freedom,
00:23:07.680 as I mentioned on the show yesterday.
00:23:08.800 The way that we've got to stop these courses is by granting the premise.
00:23:14.900 Yes, the schools have every right to force students to learn certain things.
00:23:21.160 Just not that.
00:23:23.080 We have to make the argument on the substance.
00:23:25.000 DEI is wrong.
00:23:26.820 The black studies curriculum that is being formulated by a bunch of communists
00:23:31.160 to teach students to become queer and to hate their civilization, that's wrong.
00:23:35.340 Don't do that.
00:23:37.020 Get that out of there.
00:23:38.800 We've got to make some substantive arguments.
00:23:41.620 Conservatives are getting better and better at doing that.
00:23:43.680 This really began during the Trump era.
00:23:46.240 Let's keep it going.
00:23:47.300 Let's keep the pressure up.
00:23:49.860 Those sweltering summer nights that leave you tossing and turning,
00:23:52.100 desperately kicking off the covers, don't have to ruin your sleep.

00:24:26.680 That would be the voicemail bag.
00:24:28.520 Some people have written in.
00:24:29.480 They're not quite sure how to submit a voicemail bag question.
00:24:31.260 The way you do it, you go to the Daily Wire website.
00:24:33.900 You go to the show page.
00:24:34.900 You click the Michael Knowles show.
00:24:37.040 Now, you're already a member because you've gone to dailywire.com slash Knowles.
00:24:39.560 You've used code Knowles.
00:24:40.500 You're a Daily Wire Plus member.
00:24:42.240 You click on submit a mail bag question.
00:24:44.020 It opens up an email.
00:24:45.640 And then you attach your voice file.
00:24:47.720 You can record this voice file on your phone.
00:24:49.480 You can record it on your computer.
00:24:50.760 You can record it on a tape recorder and then somehow make it digital.
00:24:53.660 Whatever you want to do, keep it to under one minute.
00:24:56.320 Submit it in the email.
00:24:57.440 Send your question in.
00:24:58.460 And then I will get to hear your mellifluous dulcet tones on Friday.
00:25:03.400 Speaking of New York, illegal immigration is not working out so great for a sanctuary city.
00:25:11.200 You know, New York said we're a sanctuary city.
00:25:13.380 Please come here, surge, give us your poor huddled masses.
00:25:18.520 And then the moment that Greg Abbott in Texas and Ron DeSantis in Florida actually ship some
00:25:23.360 immigrants up there, all of a sudden they say, whoa, whoa, we're getting too many immigrants.
00:25:26.700 Cut that out.
00:25:27.300 Why are you sending immigrants up here?
00:25:28.520 That's no good.
00:25:29.400 And so New York has put them up in some hotel rooms.
00:25:33.420 The illegal aliens don't want to leave those nice hotel rooms now.
00:25:38.060 The New Yorkers are sick of footing the bill for this.
00:25:40.200 Even the mayor is starting to pull his hair out.
00:25:44.100 What is the reality of illegal immigration?
00:25:46.300 What the libs tell us is illegal immigration is poor women and widows and orphans and little
00:25:53.300 doe-eyed dreamers.
00:25:54.800 They're just yearning to be free, walking across the border.
00:25:58.100 How dare you turn them away?
00:25:59.400 The reality of what we're seeing in New York, a little bit different.
00:26:04.000 How many migrants were at your hotel?
00:26:07.280 Actually, it's the entire hotel from the third floor to the 28th floor.
00:26:11.040 And what are you witnessing?
00:26:12.480 What did you see from the migrants that were staying in your hotel?
00:26:16.680 Chaos, total chaos.
00:26:18.320 I mean, there's no accountability.
00:26:19.800 The city, so-called running the program, allows these people to destroy these rooms.
00:26:27.680 There is no daily supervision to show these people that this is a hotel and that you don't
00:26:33.940 destroy the hotel.
00:26:35.340 You're only there temporarily.
00:26:36.880 This is not your home.
00:26:37.700 Unfortunately, the ones that are paying the price is the hotel workers, local six union
00:26:46.700 workers.
00:26:47.880 Those guys and those ladies endure a lot of disrespect from the migrants.
00:26:54.180 And there are some nice migrants, but there's too much alcohol, too much drugs and too much
00:27:00.280 violence.
00:27:00.680 And you have teenagers, you know, going into the staircases and making out and like there's
00:27:08.240 lovers laying.
00:27:08.940 I mean, you know, this is a free fall for all.
00:27:12.100 A little bit different than what we're told by the Libs.
00:27:14.280 And this is a guy who is a worker at one of these hotels.
00:27:18.480 I suspect this man is not racist against the illegal immigrants.
00:27:23.400 This is not about racism or anti-Hispanic bigotry.
00:27:28.100 He's just seeing what he's seeing.
00:27:29.500 And he's saying, man, we got to stop this.
00:27:31.520 This is bad.
00:27:32.000 This whole hotel is full of these migrants.
00:27:35.440 Mostly, if you look at the cameras, it's mostly young men because the, contrary to what
00:27:42.180 we've been told, most of these migrants are not fleeing political persecution.
00:27:46.660 Most of these migrants are not full family units, just seeking a better life.
00:27:50.180 It's young men seeking economic opportunity.
00:27:52.620 And they're not behaving in a way that is particularly respectful of their host country.
00:28:00.980 Obviously not.
00:28:01.800 Their very first act as would-be Americans is to break one of our most basic laws.
00:28:08.140 Not very respectful.
00:28:09.600 So the fact that they're trashing this hotel in New York, not surprising to me at all.
00:28:13.500 That's the reality of it.
00:28:15.300 It's very expensive for the people of New York.
00:28:18.160 And it's going to be more expensive to fix up these hotels.
00:28:20.540 Speaking of expensive things, Bernie Sanders, America's favorite socialist, has a new event
00:28:27.480 for his new book.
00:28:29.820 The event and the book are called, It's Okay to Be Angry About Capitalism.
00:28:35.820 And if you want to go to the event about the book, about how it's okay to be angry about
00:28:40.960 capitalism, you can do that for the low, low price of $95.
00:28:46.980 Bernie, see, he's got cheap tickets too.
00:28:49.440 He's got the $35 tickets, but the tickets go up to $95.
00:28:53.220 This will be hosted on March 1st in Washington, D.C.
00:28:58.920 The book is available from Penguin Random House.
00:29:01.380 It's $28.
00:29:02.300 It's pretty expensive for a book, wouldn't you say?
00:29:04.060 And Penguin writes, quote, reflecting on our turbulent times, Senator Sanders takes on the
00:29:11.140 billionaire class and speaks blunt truths about our country's failure to address the
00:29:16.420 destructive nature of a system that is fueled by uncontrolled greed and rigidly committed
00:29:21.700 to prioritizing corporate profits over the needs of ordinary Americans.
00:29:25.160 Notice, Bernie is no longer talking about the millionaire class.
00:29:28.300 He used to, for most of his political career, he would invade against the millionaires and
00:29:34.040 the billionaires.
00:29:35.680 And then, a few years ago, he dropped the millionaires part.
00:29:40.000 Now he only invades against the billionaires, the billionaire class.
00:29:43.320 And the reason for that is Bernie became a millionaire.
00:29:47.380 And so the moment that Bernie became a millionaire, then the millionaires were okay.
00:29:51.880 Now it's just the billionaires.
00:29:53.420 Pretty much the only bad people are the people with $1 more than Bernie Sanders has.
00:29:59.080 And he's about to get a lot dollars more, many, many more dollars than he previously had
00:30:04.240 because he's going to sell this book and he's going to sell tickets to his event.
00:30:07.920 Now, Bernie does have a slight point.
00:30:12.840 He doesn't know that he has a point, but he does have a slight point.
00:30:15.100 Most conservatives looking at this, at least most conservative pundits and politicians looking
00:30:23.480 at this, they're going to say, how dare you, Bernie?
00:30:25.720 Capitalism is the greatest thing ever.
00:30:27.080 There's nothing wrong with capitalism.
00:30:28.500 We're all ardent capitalists.
00:30:30.100 Capitalism is the greatest thing since sliced bread.
00:30:34.740 The thesis that Bernie is advancing here, it's okay to be angry about capitalism.
00:30:40.500 He's got a little bit of a point.
00:30:41.680 Now, I don't know when conservatives became the capitalists.
00:30:47.480 We became the promoters of capitalism or really almost any ism whatsoever.
00:30:51.960 I'm skeptical of pretty much all isms.
00:30:55.100 And let's not forget capitalism is a word that was popularized by Karl Marx, okay?
00:31:01.020 What does it mean?
00:31:02.040 What is capitalism?
00:31:03.520 There are plenty of problems with capitalism.
00:31:05.440 If by capitalism, we mean the modern system of industry, the way that the economy works.
00:31:12.760 There are problems with the way the economy works.
00:31:15.280 Now, Bernie thinks there's problems with the way the economy works because he wants to steal
00:31:18.860 all the money from anybody who's richer than him and he wants to flatten out society and
00:31:22.560 he wants the workers of the world to unite in a proletarian communist revolution.
00:31:25.960 All right, that's all wrong.
00:31:27.400 But I've got problems with the way the economy works.
00:31:29.160 Because I think the way the economy works right now is rigged against many good Americans.
00:31:35.260 I think that it can be terribly destructive to traditional culture.
00:31:39.920 I think that it is often being wielded by political elites who are simply trying to enrich
00:31:44.880 themselves and grow their own power and pursue their own bizarre utopian vision rather than
00:31:49.880 actually support the common good of the United States.
00:31:51.960 That's plenty true.
00:31:54.240 That is plenty true.
00:31:55.380 I think about the William Blake poem, Jerusalem, which then became a hymn, where he asks,
00:32:02.660 and did those feet in ancient time walk upon England's mountains green?
00:32:06.180 He's talking about this legend that Joseph of Arimathea took Jesus to England.
00:32:10.960 And he's saying, and was the holy lamb of God on England's pleasant pastures seen?
00:32:15.920 And then you think, why is William Blake talking about this wild legend of Christ in England?
00:32:21.980 And then he gets to the point in the second stanza of the poem, where he says,
00:32:28.940 was Jesus actually here in this land, which we now find ourselves among these dark satanic mills?
00:32:39.620 That's the phrase, the dark satanic mills.
00:32:41.720 What is Blake talking about?
00:32:42.820 He's talking about industrialization.
00:32:44.680 There are plenty of dark things about industrialization.
00:32:46.780 Our modern industrial society has broken down the family, broken down communities.
00:32:50.740 It's turned us all into mass consumers.
00:32:53.120 It's made us all very materialistic.
00:32:55.040 It's degraded mankind into a kind of widgets for an assembly line,
00:32:58.660 rather than full integrated human beings.
00:33:01.440 Yeah, those are real problems.
00:33:03.360 Those are totally real problems.
00:33:05.300 I don't think the solution is Bernie's communist revolution, but we can work on that.
00:33:10.320 There are right-wing critiques of modern capitalism.
00:33:13.280 After all, it's a term promoted by Marx.
00:33:17.500 So we don't need to throw the cultural improvement out with the Bernie bathwater,
00:33:22.600 but we also shouldn't give him $95 to read his stupid book.
00:33:25.440 Speaking of the libs, good news, though a little bit scary.
00:33:30.580 An MSNBC host is okay.
00:33:32.520 She's recovered, but she just came down with myocarditis.
00:33:37.000 This is a young, healthy woman, came down with myocarditis.
00:33:40.480 It's kind of weird.
00:33:41.060 Had you ever heard the term myocarditis three or four years ago?
00:33:46.460 Had you ever heard that term once in your life?
00:33:48.960 I don't know that I had.
00:33:50.020 If I had, I'd maybe once or twice.
00:33:52.440 Now we hear it all the time.
00:33:53.840 Now these young people seem to come down with it.
00:33:56.040 This is Yasmin Vazugian.
00:33:58.640 She is a very healthy MSNBC host.
00:34:01.000 She received all of her COVID booster shots.
00:34:02.800 I'm just mentioning that coincidentally.
00:34:04.120 Here's her story.
00:34:05.720 I want to remind you, I run seven miles three to four times a week, or I did.
00:34:10.480 I do yoga.
00:34:11.620 I don't eat meat.
00:34:12.400 I don't smoke.
00:34:13.500 I drink occasionally.
00:34:14.760 Not right now, though, because my doctor tells me I can't.
00:34:17.340 Aside from probably not getting enough sleep and working too much, I'm a pretty healthy person.
00:34:21.400 But on that day, I was anything but.
00:34:24.540 My husband drove me to the emergency room, and from there, the nightmare that has been my January began.
00:34:29.260 I was diagnosed with pericarditis, inflammation of the lining of my heart,
00:34:33.000 brought on by a virus, a literal common cold.
00:34:38.540 I also had fluid around my heart that had to be drained, or else it could hinder the beating of my heart.
00:34:44.280 I was hospitalized for four nights and transferred from a local hospital to NYU Langone here in New York City.
00:34:50.760 On January 4th, I was finally discharged after doctors drained the fluid around my heart,
00:34:54.520 and I bounced out of the hospital.
00:34:56.200 I couldn't get out of there fast enough with the hopes I was on the mend.
00:35:00.120 But that was not the end.
00:35:01.240 Three days later, I was readmitted when I felt a flutter in my heart, like a butterfly.
00:35:06.740 It was inside my chest.
00:35:08.140 They determined I had developed myocarditis.
00:35:12.520 She goes on.
00:35:14.140 Not just pericarditis, myocarditis.
00:35:16.640 Pretty, pretty scary.
00:35:19.060 How'd she get it?
00:35:20.100 A common cold, she says.
00:35:22.780 Common cold.
00:35:23.460 You'll notice that as the cases of myocarditis and pericarditis seem to spike in lots of different populations,
00:35:32.740 they seem to come out of nowhere.
00:35:35.680 Everyone shrugs their shoulders.
00:35:36.980 They throw their hands up.
00:35:37.700 They say, wow, gosh, where did this come from?
00:35:40.220 And then they'll start pointing to potential culprits.
00:35:42.060 It could be the common cold.
00:35:45.500 It could be the COVID virus itself.
00:35:48.520 It could be, I don't know.
00:35:49.460 Some people have suggested eggs.
00:35:50.980 I think that was just a joke, that it was the eggs that gave you myocarditis.
00:35:55.320 But they point to all sorts of things.
00:35:56.560 There's only one thing that you are not allowed to suggest is giving anybody myocarditis.
00:36:03.340 And it happens to be the new experimental thing that was introduced in the last couple of years.
00:36:11.940 It happens to be the new experimental thing that is clinically associated with myocarditis.
00:36:17.920 And we all know it.
00:36:20.420 You know that thing?
00:36:21.360 Am I allowed to say it on YouTube?
00:36:23.100 You know that thing that certain people made other people get in their arms?
00:36:27.820 But we all know it.

00:37:21.660 Speaking of vaccines, Project Veritas, speaking of things you're not allowed to say on YouTube, Project Veritas just came into some apparently leaked guidance from YouTube
00:37:36.520 after Project Veritas revealed on hidden camera a Pfizer executive talking about how Pfizer was planning to engage in gain-of-function research,
00:37:48.300 directed evolution research, to beef up viruses, to make new vaccines, to make a lot more money.
00:37:54.040 So James O'Keefe and Project Veritas released the video, and then we find this urgent guidance about the Project Veritas video.
00:38:04.180 What happened?
00:38:05.840 A clip uploaded by Project Veritas featuring a Pfizer official is rapidly spreading on the platform.
00:38:10.920 The video, when uploaded in its entirety, contains a timestamp that violates the COVID-19 vaccine misinformation policy
00:38:19.120 for making a categorical claim that COVID-19 vaccines are ineffective and should therefore be removed unless it contains sufficient EDSA CRC.
00:38:29.180 When reviewing any re-uploads of this content, be sure to confirm that the following violative timestamp is present.
00:38:36.740 And it's, quote, our undercover journalist asked Walker how Pfizer is handling the fact that their COVID vaccines are ineffective against virus variants.
00:38:44.500 What he said is disturbing. Listen to this.
00:38:47.100 Check the four corners and metadata for EDSA that clearly contradicts the violative timestamp.
00:38:53.640 And then the action you take is strike it or approve it if it doesn't include that timestamp.
00:39:00.100 Why? Well, because of the misinformation policy. Okay.
00:39:02.720 So you see, the way they're doing it is they're saying, well, because of the context of the narrator setting up the scene
00:39:10.120 in which the Pfizer executive admits that the COVID vaccines are not totally the most effective thing in the world.
00:39:19.800 I don't know. What am I supposed to say to not get another strike on my YouTube channel?
00:39:22.900 Well, I don't know. Well, whatever it is, because of that line, they're trying to take the clip down.
00:39:32.700 So this raises a big question. Who decides what COVID misinformation is?
00:39:40.060 Who decides? The Pfizer executive is admitting on camera that the vaccines don't work the way we were told they would work.
00:39:47.860 So if Pfizer can promote misinformation about COVID, who determines true information?
00:39:59.160 Fauci, Walensky, who's the head of the CDC, Joe Biden, they all came out and they said,
00:40:06.960 if you get the Fauci ouchie, you get the shot, you will not get COVID and you will not transmit COVID.
00:40:11.680 All three of those people said that. They later admitted that was not true.
00:40:16.500 And I remember when we were covering this on the show at the time, I quoted them. I quoted Fauci,
00:40:23.620 Biden, and Walensky. And I was then told that part of the show has to be clipped out on YouTube.
00:40:29.240 Obviously, it could continue to live on RSS and on the Daily Wire Plus. But for YouTube,
00:40:33.140 it would be taken off of YouTube if I quoted that because it would be spreading misinformation.
00:40:38.480 I said, how can I receive another strike for quoting the public health authorities?
00:40:46.500 Well, because it's misinformation. Says who? Who determines it? I agree. Fauci is completely
00:40:51.840 full of it. I don't trust a word he says about public health. I agree. Same thing with Walensky.
00:40:55.800 Certainly, I agree with Biden. Certainly, I agree with Pfizer. I agree. But now you agree too. So
00:41:00.440 then who's the authority? I think I'm more of an authority than Dr. Fauci. I think you,
00:41:05.480 random Joe, I'm speaking to whichever listener right now is out in the middle of nowhere with the
00:41:12.620 absolute least degree of medical education. You, I trust more than I would trust Dr. Fauci. But
00:41:19.460 really what YouTube is saying here is we determine it. Yeah, we pretend that we're just following the
00:41:26.040 science and the people in the lab because we don't care what they have to say. If Pfizer says something
00:41:29.960 that we don't, that we don't like, or if we got to bail Pfizer out because they got caught on a hidden
00:41:33.560 camera, then we're just going to determine it. And we're going to put strikes on you, on your,
00:41:39.800 on your channel, if you dare to say it. And we're going to censor you. We're going to censor you for
00:41:45.660 paraphrasing, if not quoting outright, a Pfizer executive. Speaking of censorship, meant to get to
00:41:51.560 this story last week, didn't have time. DirecTV has decided to drop Newsmax. You know,
00:41:58.000 I love Newsmax. I've appeared on many Newsmax shows. This after DirecTV decided to drop OAN,
00:42:03.460 another channel I like a lot, appeared on a lot of OAN shows. Why did they do it?
00:42:09.860 Well, according to DirecTV, they say they're doing it because Newsmax asked for rate increases,
00:42:16.520 which, quote, would have led to significantly higher costs that we would have had to pass on to
00:42:20.600 the broad customer base, doesn't seem very credible to me. When I think of the relatively
00:42:28.180 low carry costs for all of these conservative channels, and the fact that plenty of TV stations
00:42:34.000 raise their costs as inflation increases, as their business changes. And DirecTV never seems to cancel
00:42:41.200 the liberal channels. DirecTV, which is owned by AT&T, only cancels the conservative ones.
00:42:51.020 A good example, Representative Wesley Hunt from Texas, a Republican in Texas, just pointed this out.
00:42:55.620 He said, I'm sure DirecTV will claim that removing Newsmax from their lineup of channels was purely a
00:43:00.300 business decision, but that's hard to accept when liberal news channels like Vice Media continue to
00:43:04.900 remain on the air. Vice is a ratings failure for DirecTV, yet they continue to profit from their
00:43:10.340 relationship with DirecTV. So obviously, it's just an attack on conservatives. It's just censorship.
00:43:18.500 What do we do about it? There are not that many TV carriers. What are we going to do? Are we going
00:43:25.720 to say, well, build your own ATT, build your own gigantic previously, build your own state utility,
00:43:34.180 build your own even private telecoms company, and then buy up your own TV network, meaning your own
00:43:42.340 TV service? I don't think so. The answer to this used to be the new media. You'd say, well, just have
00:43:47.620 your own podcast. We'll just have your own. But even there now, a handful of oligarchs are controlling
00:43:52.720 that. The only answer is political action. Look at what Disney's doing right now. One of the stars of a
00:44:00.840 new Disney show has just come out to express hope that the show will appeal to transgender children
00:44:10.300 by validating their views. And this is a young woman named Zoe Tarakis. She's surgically had her
00:44:16.840 breasts cut off by some quack doctor. She identifies as, quote, non-binary and transmasculine. She says,
00:44:23.760 I think as trans people growing up, I didn't get to see myself anywhere, so I didn't really know that I
00:44:28.460 existed. He didn't know you existed. But cogito ergo sum. And especially not in a superhero show
00:44:35.920 or movie. And so I think I just feel deeply grateful and moved that little trans kids and
00:44:40.660 trans teens have something to look at and to know they exist and to know that they can have superpowers
00:44:47.300 and that's where we belong. So this is obviously terrible. I'm sure the content is going to be
00:44:53.120 terrible. But this is terribly dangerous content, too. This is the sort of content that we should
00:44:58.880 not allow to air. And there are two ways to stop this. Disney is a big platform. They've got a lot
00:45:03.720 of audience. So we can build our own Disney, which we're doing, by the way. We here. Specifically,
00:45:09.800 we are doing that here. We're the only group that's doing it, to my knowledge, in the entire country.
00:45:15.220 So I'm all for that. Build alternatives. You have to build market alternatives.
00:45:19.360 But that's not enough. It's not enough to say, well, politics is downstream of culture. We just
00:45:25.860 build your own Disney. It's important to engage in that. But that's not enough. We've got to wield
00:45:32.360 political power to fight this. And I don't care which side of the GOP you are on. Almost everybody
00:45:39.460 seems to be in agreement on this point. The real super squishes like Asa Hutchinson in Arkansas,
00:45:47.180 the squishy Republican governor there. They're not totally on board. But almost everybody to the
00:45:51.820 right of him is. This is a great moment. There's a ton of public support behind this. Now is the
00:45:57.220 time to go, especially as we enter the 2024 primary contest. Every Republican is going to be trying to
00:46:01.700 outflank each other to the right. Good. This can run down to the benefit of the party base and of the
00:46:06.580 country. Keep on pushing, guys, and wield your political power to stop this dangerous nonsense.
00:46:14.640 Speaking of weird, trans, queer, LGBT stuff, Sam Smith is a singer. I vaguely remember him from
00:46:23.200 some parties I would go to in New York as a young man in my early 20s. But I haven't kept up with him.
00:46:28.840 And since I listened to Sam Smith, he's become a pangender or a transgender or I don't know.
00:46:34.820 Apparently, he's got some really gross video, though. So Ben Davies wants to see how long I can
00:46:38.420 watch this before I throw a hammer at the TV and turn it off. The rest of the show continues now.
00:46:43.440 We've got a story that I haven't gotten to. We will get to that and we will get to all of your
