Ep. 1201 - The White House Slanders Me In Desperation, Fails Miserably

Summary

Corrine Jean-Pierre, the White House's new press secretary, lied about me in response to a reporter's question. It was a desperate Hail Mary pass, a last-ditch effort to stop conservatives from reframing the transgender debate.

Transcript

00:00:00.000 The White House press secretary has gotten a lot of things wrong in her short tenure as the
00:00:04.980 president's spokesman. And on Friday, she continued that trend, this time repeating
00:00:11.220 a falsehood about your favorite podcaster. I just want to take a step back a moment
00:00:16.820 and really call out the shameful, hateful, and dangerous attacks that we have been seeing
00:00:22.720 on the LGBTQI community, as we've seen this week, as I said, and also last week.
00:00:28.340 Look, it started with a speaker at a conservative conference calling for the eradication of
00:00:34.340 transgender people, language that not a single national Republican leader has condemned.
00:00:40.560 Now, as the liberal press was forced to admit last week, that is not what I said. And so,
00:00:47.480 some people right now are saying that KJP is just really bad at her job. Often she is.
00:00:54.100 But this attack on me was not a mistake. It was, I'm convinced, a highly calculated lie.
00:01:01.560 A desperate Hail Mary pass, a last-ditch effort after a week-long failed attempt by liberals
00:01:07.800 to stop conservatives from reframing the transgender debate, which the libs thought
00:01:13.160 they had already won. We'll get into it. I'm Michael Knowles. This is the Michael Knowles Show.

00:01:30.800 of my favorite kinds of moms are those conservative thinking ones, who says,

00:01:39.500 guys. Women's history month has transitioned. Now the women's history month is to honor men
00:01:46.180 who pretend to be women. A lot of craziness and instability.

00:03:03.460 I'm honored that the White House felt the need to lie about me. And that is what this was.
00:03:10.460 That comment from Corrine Jean-Pierre was not a spontaneous response to a reporter's question.
00:03:17.540 That comment from Corrine Jean-Pierre was prepared. It was in the press briefing. And
00:03:24.280 I can just tell you, I've worked as a campaign spokesman before. I've done that kind of job in
00:03:30.600 politics, obviously not at the level that Corrine Jean-Pierre has. But nothing in those briefings
00:03:36.220 is accidental. Every single word, every syllable is vetted. And it was calculated in a couple of
00:03:44.780 really interesting ways. One, she didn't say my name. She didn't say my name, I think, to allow her
00:03:50.500 to repeat the lie that I called to genocide transgender people or whatever. She saw, the whole
00:03:57.920 White House saw, that the liberal media had to backtrack. They had to retract their claims of
00:04:02.620 what I said because they were afraid of libel suits. So she wouldn't say my name, but she did
00:04:06.060 repeat that claim. Why repeat the claim? Because the transgender debate is right at this moment in
00:04:15.640 the process of being reframed, which was the whole point of my speech. The whole point of my speech was
00:04:20.680 that the libs continue to win on these issues. And that the trend is always, the libs propose
00:04:27.700 something crazy. Conservatives briefly oppose it. The libs stand firm. Conservatives then embrace the
00:04:33.380 views of our opponents. So it happened with feminism. The crazy feminists start burning their
00:04:37.280 bras and saying, a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle. The conservatives say, that's totally
00:04:41.180 crazy. Then five seconds later, the conservatives say, okay, feminism's fine. But this sexual revolution
00:04:45.860 stuff, that's totally crazy. And then they accept that. Then they accept the redefinition of marriage.
00:04:49.920 Then they accept transgenderism. Consider where the transgender debate was even two weeks ago.
00:04:55.980 The transgender debate was, the liberals said, we need to trans the five-year-olds.
00:05:01.840 And the conservatives said, you need to wait till they turn eight until you trans them.
00:05:06.480 But basically, everyone had accepted the premise that transgenderism for adults was totally fine.
00:05:11.560 If a 25-year-old man wants to pretend to be the opposite sex, that's totally fine. That's his right.
00:05:16.340 He should be allowed to do that, which is an insane position. Obviously, virtually no one in the
00:05:21.320 country, left or right, believed that even 10 years ago. Now, because the liberals just constantly
00:05:28.540 moved that Overton window to the left, they had effectively won that debate. The reason the libs
00:05:34.580 reacted so strongly against my speech was not anything particularly special in the speech. I just said,
00:05:40.240 no, I'm not conceding that ground. Transgenderism is either true or false. If it's true, then it's
00:05:46.300 true for everybody of all ages. If it's false, as it obviously is, then it's false for everybody of
00:05:51.580 all ages. And we shouldn't tolerate it for anybody. The second you allow even one man,
00:05:56.520 one 50-year-old man to pretend that he's a woman in public life, you have granted the whole premise
00:06:03.100 of transgenderism. Women have lost their bathrooms. Women have lost their sports teams. Women have lost
00:06:08.440 every special right and privilege and space that they have in public life. And so it's an all or
00:06:15.080 nothing question. There is no middle ground. So the White House had to lie because the attack from
00:06:22.860 the media failed. They were forced to retract their libelous statements. And then the attempt to cancel
00:06:31.440 me failed. The conservative media rallied around me. And so this Hail Mary pass was from the White
00:06:38.340 House. And it makes sense when you realize that the point was, one, to intimidate me into recanting.
00:06:44.700 Didn't work. Two, to intimidate the conservative movement, the media, into canceling me. Didn't
00:06:49.980 work. And then three, this was the final volley, to intimidate Republican politicians into disavowing
00:06:56.740 me or conceding the point. The reason I'm convinced this was so highly calculated is by getting the
00:07:04.720 statement wrong. The White House was baiting Republican politicians into calling them out.
00:07:10.620 And then once the Republicans called them out, the White House could say, all right, well, never mind,
00:07:15.120 maybe we got the wording wrong. But where do you stand on this issue? Do you want to eradicate
00:07:19.240 transgenderism from public life? And the White House believed that the Republican politicians were too
00:07:23.760 cowardly to do that. And they didn't want to open it up. So they would be bullied into silence. And what the
00:07:28.260 White House wasn't counting on, what the liberal media weren't counting on, is that the conservatives
00:07:33.660 actually still have something of a spine on this issue? And they were willing to take that dare.
00:07:39.540 Marsha Blackburn. I mean, there were so many people in the conservative movement who rallied here. I
00:07:44.280 certainly wouldn't have time to thank everybody for doing it and for having some courage and standing
00:07:48.720 up. But everybody, from the most moderate part of the conservative movement all the way to the most
00:07:53.540 conservative, the elected politicians, the media, the activist groups. Marsha, though, I feel in
00:07:58.820 particular, was really precise here. She said, the White House and the press secretary have become
00:08:05.180 experts at spewing misinformation and lies. They want to scare Americans into submission, Michael
00:08:11.340 Knowles. And that was what this was about. Spew these lies. Send a message to everybody that if you in
00:08:20.160 any way stand up against our increasingly radical agenda, we will try to destroy you. We will lie about
00:08:26.540 you. It doesn't matter. And conservatives said, no, we don't care. We're not going to tolerate this.
00:08:34.400 The premise of this intimidation was that conservatives don't want to be viewed as going
00:08:38.580 too far. We just want a moderate position. We just want to tack to the center here.
00:08:44.540 If we go too far, we're going to get blown out at the ballots in November. No, that's not how the left
00:08:51.500 thinks. That piece of political common sense is not very sensible, actually. The left never worries
00:09:00.380 about going too far and alienating the centrist voter. And sometimes it hits them a little bit
00:09:04.680 at the ballot box. But in the long run, it doesn't. They've won everything they've gone for.
00:09:09.360 They've redefined marriage. They've redefined man and woman. They're transing the kids. They don't back
00:09:15.380 down. They push for the Green New Deal. The Green New Deal. Over 10 years, a $90 trillion plan to
00:09:21.600 completely upend our whole political order. They're still pushing on that. It's becoming more and more
00:09:25.280 mainstream every day. They pushed on to abolish the police. It hurt them a little bit in the midterms.
00:09:30.440 They still push. And they have weakened the police departments. And they have weakened law enforcement.
00:09:34.760 And they have opened our border. And they've succeeded. The mistake that a lot of conservatives have
00:09:40.800 made in the past, they're not making it right now, fortunately, is they think that political
00:09:44.540 movements are won by being the most centrist type of candidate you can possibly be and following
00:09:50.660 the consensus view. That's not how political movements are won. Political movements are won
00:09:56.540 by highly motivated groups of political minorities who have a very clear vision, who don't just follow
00:10:02.720 the consensus view, but who craft the consensus view. That's how political movements are won.
00:10:06.920 That's how the Libs have won for the last 50, 70 years. And if conservatives want to start winning,
00:10:12.980 we need that clarity too. People want a choice, not an echo, to quote Phyllis Schlafly, one of the most
00:10:18.620 effective political activists of the 20th century. People want leadership and a clear vision. They'll
00:10:24.060 follow that. Without a clear vision, if we're just going to be the Democrats' light, people are going
00:10:28.720 to vote for the Democrats. Democrats are much better at being Democrats than we are. The irony of all of
00:10:33.280 this, by the way, is that as the Libs are pretending that I called for mass murder,
00:10:38.540 a very prominent liberal went on national television and literally called for murder.
00:10:44.560 We have experienced many decades now of having agency over our body, of being able to determine
00:10:51.720 when and how many children to have. We know what that feels like. We know what that's done for our
00:10:57.140 lives. We're not going back. I don't care what the laws are. We're not going back.
00:11:02.400 Well, I think the women will rise up.
00:11:05.200 That's the activists.
00:11:06.620 That's Jane speaking.
00:11:08.140 And she probably will get a Nobel Prize very soon.
00:11:10.540 But it's the truth.
00:11:11.460 It is the truth. We're not going to do it.
00:11:13.800 Besides marching and protesting, what else do you suggest?
00:11:18.880 Well, it doesn't happen overnight. It's not a miraculous...
00:11:22.520 What did you say?
00:11:23.620 Murder.
00:11:24.020 Murder.
00:11:24.920 She's kidding. Wait a second. She's just kidding.
00:11:27.360 Now, don't say that.
00:11:28.160 Oh, you don't know. They'll pick up on that and just run with it.
00:11:30.000 Yeah, that's the worst.
00:11:30.820 She's joking.
00:11:31.220 She's just kidding.
00:11:32.240 Well, let me talk to you about...
00:11:33.840 Let's move on and talk about Jane's activism, which is legendary.
00:11:41.200 Oh, she's just kidding. She's just kidding. You look at Jane Fonda. Jane Fonda is not kidding at
00:11:44.980 all. There's not even the hint of a theatrical kind of smile or wink here. She is dead serious,
00:11:51.100 which tells you a lot about the left, tells you two things in particular.
00:11:53.800 One, when they whine and cry and clutch their pearls and completely rewrite your words to make
00:11:59.720 it sound as though you're advocating violence when you've never done any such thing. It's
00:12:04.580 completely disingenuous. And it's completely disingenuous because of the second point, which
00:12:10.180 is that the libs would happily advocate political violence against their enemies.
00:12:17.140 The libs have made this point all week with my transgenderism comments. They said,
00:12:21.280 you can't distinguish between an idea and the people who express that idea. There's no distinction
00:12:26.220 to be made. If you criticize a bad idea, then you are calling for the death of the people who hold
00:12:32.900 that idea, which is absurd. Anybody with even a slightly developed rational faculty is able to
00:12:41.200 distinguish between bad ideas and people who believe bad ideas. But the libs don't fall into
00:12:46.560 that group. The libs truly make no distinction between those things. And so when the libs are
00:12:50.800 calling for the eradication of an idea, they actually are, certainly in the case of Jane Fonda here,
00:12:58.600 calling for the eradication of people. It's sometimes said that every accusation from the
00:13:06.460 libs is a confession. And Jane Fonda just confessed something. Confessed that this whole past week of the
00:13:13.180 libs rewriting my words is because they themselves make no such distinction between ideas and people.
00:13:21.300 It means that our society is getting pretty crazy. When things get crazy, you're going to want to make

00:14:44.680 promo code Knowles. So, what do the Libs do now? Now that the Libs have flopped on their desperate
00:14:54.700 attempt not to allow the transgender debate to be reframed, we went from, do we trans the five-year-olds,
00:15:00.020 or do we wait until they turn eight, to now the debate is, do we accept transgenderism at all,
00:15:04.740 or do we not? Do we eradicate transgenderism entirely from public life, or do we tolerate
00:15:10.940 transgenderism throughout all public life? That's where the debate is. It's not a good place for
00:15:14.200 the Libs to have the debate. So, what do they do now? They retreat to their tried-and-true strategy
00:15:19.460 of banning a word, of redefining a word. BuzzFeed came out with this. It's now in Yahoo News.
00:15:25.320 Transgenderism is just the latest example of anti-trans rhetoric, meaning the word
00:15:36.040 transgenderism is now considered politically incorrect. It's rare that we get to see this
00:15:43.680 happen in real time, the machinations of political correctness. And having written an entire book
00:15:49.180 about the history and meaning of political correctness called Speechless, Controlling
00:15:52.560 Words Controlling, mine's number one national bestseller. You can order it. There we go.
00:15:55.440 You can order it whenever you like. You're witnessing something rare. You're actually
00:16:00.740 consciously seeing the Libs use political correctness by banning a word. They tried to
00:16:09.980 redefine the meaning of the word. They tried to change the language that we're all using.
00:16:15.360 That didn't work this past week. And so they're saying, okay, you're not allowed to say it anymore.
00:16:18.640 If you saw the word transgenderism trending on social media last week and felt a sinking
00:16:24.100 feeling in your stomach, you're not alone. The word was used at CPAC by Daily Wire's Michael
00:16:28.080 Knowles, who said during his speech that transgenderism must be eradicated from public
00:16:31.340 life entirely. After his words were characterized as sounding genocidal, Knowles attempted to claim
00:16:37.000 that he was not calling for the eradication of people when he said transgenderism must be
00:16:41.060 eradicated. But turning an experience intrinsic to the lives of trans people into a noun doesn't
00:16:46.080 separate it from those people whose rights and safety are currently under attack. First of all,
00:16:49.380 I didn't turn it into a noun. Transgenderism is a word that long predates me. I just used the word
00:16:56.120 correctly. And the Libs were upset that I used the word correctly. And so now they're saying you're not
00:16:59.860 allowed to use it. I kid you not. They say transgenderism is a phony term made up by anti-transgender
00:17:08.660 activists and used to dehumanize transgender people and target them. They're life-saving health care and
00:17:13.720 access to society. Now, what's really weird is in the next paragraph, BuzzFeed says,
00:17:18.480 the term transgenderism was actually used by trans activists in the 1990s and early 2000s.
00:17:23.680 But as language evolves, words are both reclaimed by communities and co-opted by oppositional forces.
00:17:29.700 So they say this is a phony made up term from the anti-trans activists. Actually, no, it's a term
00:17:35.880 that was used by the pro-trans activists. But now that Knowles is using it, it's terrible and we can't
00:17:40.400 use it anymore. Phony made up term. It's just a word to describe an idea. And the Libs can't defend
00:17:47.540 the idea. They can't argue against the people such as the conservatives who are now pointing out the
00:17:53.860 absurdity of transgenderism. They can't do that. And so what the only thing they can do to try to win
00:18:01.760 the debate is to stop you from thinking about it, which is the whole point of political correctness.
00:18:08.980 If you think about transgenderism for five seconds, you will realize that it is completely
00:18:16.940 absurd. You will realize that obviously men cannot become women. Women cannot become men.
00:18:22.240 Men cannot secretly be women. Women cannot secretly be men. Your true self probably has something to do
00:18:27.580 with your body. It's not totally divorced from your body. That you can look entirely like a man
00:18:31.720 and have every physical attribute of a man, but on some secret plane, you're actually a woman.
00:18:37.040 That's obviously absurd. And so the only way that the liberals can possibly defend that idea and hold
00:18:44.680 on to their political position is to stop you from thinking about it. And because words, because language
00:18:50.940 is the stuff of our consciousness, it's not merely an instrument of our consciousness, but it actually
00:18:57.140 constitutes our consciousness. It constitutes the way that we view the world. If you can control the
00:19:02.640 language, you can control people's minds. You're seeing that happen in real time right now. Why?
00:19:11.220 Because people know that whatever I said in my CPAC speech is just one of the million criticisms that
00:19:21.780 are resonating recently against this tyranny of liberalism. That's just one example.
00:19:28.860 But many other people have said many similar things, and it's resonating with many, many more
00:19:35.320 people. I'll give you a great example of this. The UK, according to The Guardian, just ranked among the
00:19:43.180 most liberal countries on divorce and abortion. This is according to a global study. The UK ranks in the
00:19:53.660 world's top four countries for accepting divorce, homosexuality, casual sex, assisted dying,
00:20:00.120 prostitution, and abortion. And this is being hailed. The supporters are saying, bravo, live and let live.
00:20:07.700 The battles against homophobia, racism, and misogyny helped make the UK a more liberal nation. But I
00:20:13.660 don't think this has to do with any kind of phobia or misogyny or anything. Just look at the facts here.
00:20:18.520 The UK is now much more accepting of divorce, of the sexual revolution, of suicide, of selling your
00:20:30.860 body like you're just a slab of meat, of killing your babies. And that is not considered to be the
00:20:35.820 cost of liberalism. That's considered to be the feature. That's the reward of liberalism. The great
00:20:42.800 triumph of liberalism is that people are now having meaningless sex, are selling their bodies like
00:20:48.520 their animals, and are killing their babies, and are leaving their families. We did it, guys. We did
00:20:55.780 it. The divorce rate is higher than ever. We're murdering all our babies. Congratulations. If that's
00:21:01.840 liberalism, I don't want it. And I don't think I'm the weird one here. I think I'm representing the
00:21:09.500 normal person's view, which is if liberalism means we destroy our families, kill our babies,
00:21:16.160 tank our population, engage in all sorts of destructive behaviors, then something's wrong
00:21:22.780 with liberalism. I think we need to be much less liberal. I think it would be great if our countries,
00:21:28.980 if the motherland over in the UK, if the United States, if the whole West ranked much lower on global
00:21:35.340 studies of liberalism. Because liberalism brings about pretty much nothing but misery and national
00:21:42.940 destruction. If the liberals know that the fruits of liberalism have been poisonous and that the
00:21:51.500 people don't like it. And so the only way to salvage their political program is to stop you from
00:21:58.080 talking about it. You're not really allowed to say abortion. You're supposed to say reproductive
00:22:01.340 health care, women's rights, ridiculous euphemisms. You're not allowed to talk about divorce. You talk
00:22:10.700 about our individual rights to pursue our own desires, the freedom to destroy our families.
00:22:18.440 You're not allowed to talk about suicide. You say, no, it's medical assistance in dying.
00:22:25.880 It's how you transition. No, it's just killing sad people and mentally ill people and old people.
00:22:32.060 That's what it is. It's just slaughtering your, it's just killing people. You kill the babies through
00:22:37.440 abortion. You kill the old people through doctor-assisted suicide. That's it. That's the
00:22:40.980 free. And we don't want it. And we don't want that. And the libs don't want us thinking about it.
00:22:47.200 Because no reasonable person wants any of that. That's the reality. And so you've got to push
00:22:52.060 through this euphemistic language to see the reality. And there was a TikTok just went viral
00:22:56.680 of a, of a, of a mother who had had an abortion. Getting through all of those euphemisms from all
00:23:03.400 the rosy PR that the abortion industry puts out there, showing people what abortion really looks
00:23:08.960 like for the mother. Does nobody talk about how hard abortions are on a woman? It's probably been a
00:23:17.280 month. And I hate myself every day. It sucks because in the moment I felt like I was doing the right
00:23:26.940 thing. But every time I'm going to bed or I'm just alone, I just think about like, what if? Because
00:23:36.480 I'm not like, I'm not a child. Like I'm an adult. So this just like hit me on a different level.
00:23:41.000 I had all the means in the world to do it on my own. I thought like I did it so that it would
00:23:48.800 benefit not just me, but also everyone else. And I'm just so broken. I didn't even get the chance to
00:23:57.580 like be at home or anything. Like I just went to work. And I just want this to be over with already.
00:24:04.720 Like I'm emotionally drained. I can't do this anymore.
00:24:07.840 Your heart breaks for that woman, because even though she did a very evil thing,
00:24:14.020 she doesn't seem to have quite understood it. She had bought into so much of the PR of abortion,
00:24:19.500 which is everywhere. The PR, which says, oh, this is no big deal. It's like getting your
00:24:23.920 appendix removed. Oh, it's not. No, it's that you're in and out. It's just a clump of cells.
00:24:27.560 It's totally, it's not a baby. It's meaningless. Just go back to work the next day. Let's go worker B.
00:24:32.600 We can't be having you taking any time off to have a child or raise that child. No,
00:24:37.020 you got to make more widgets at the factory. That's your freedom. That's the fruit of feminism.
00:24:41.100 That's right. You get the privilege of killing your children, being pressured to do that by the
00:24:45.540 culture and then get right back to work so you can earn a paycheck. Isn't that, aren't you so happy
00:24:50.180 with your freedom? And she's now experienced this and she says, oh my God, what have I done?
00:24:56.520 I've done something evil and I'm not even allowed to, I've killed my child and I'm not even allowed to
00:25:06.080 mourn it. I'm not even allowed to admit that I killed my child and I'm not allowed to mourn it
00:25:12.780 because if, if I am granted even a few days of mourning, then I would have to admit the reality
00:25:19.020 of what abortion is. And even if I personally am willing to do that, the society will not allow me
00:25:26.840 to do that. This poor mother, your, your heart breaks for this mother who's telling you the
00:25:33.000 reality of abortion. She says, I've just, I thought it was fine when I did it, but then I, I went to bed
00:25:38.400 and I can't get it out of my head. Right. The thing that's nagging at you is your conscience,
00:25:43.440 which your conscience can be dulled through, through the indulgence of vice, but it's still
00:25:49.200 there. You still have a natural ability to discern between right and wrong. It's still there. And so
00:25:56.520 you, you still know what's happening. And the way abortion is sold is, okay, here you go. This is
00:26:03.100 the solution to your problem. You got a problem. Here's the solution. Almost as if you're not going
00:26:07.080 to have a life afterward. So you go, you do it. I'm not denying that if you have an unplanned pregnancy
00:26:11.940 that raises all sorts of anxiety. That's what the abortion industry preys on is women's stress and
00:26:16.600 anxiety and fear for the future. The fact that maybe the man won't stick around, but she says,
00:26:21.060 but I could have taken care of the baby. And I went and I, and I had a permanent solution to a
00:26:27.540 temporary problem. And now I just think, oh, it's over. And in place of relief, I just feel this sadness
00:26:35.060 because now I'm never going to, because I killed my kid and nobody would even tell me what I was
00:26:41.820 doing. And now that I did it, I, nobody prepared me for the sadness of the reality of what I was
00:26:48.060 doing. That's what abortion really looks like. Beneath all the rosy euphemisms, women's healthcare
00:26:53.440 choice, freedom. That's the reality. Speaking of women and conscience, Grace Van Dean, who is one of
00:27:03.200 the actresses in Stranger Things, just came out and explained why she's quitting Hollywood or at least
00:27:09.460 taking a break from Hollywood. And it's, it's one of the most dignified videos I've seen out of
00:27:15.660 Hollywood in years. Turning down acting projects and deciding to stream more. But the fact of the
00:27:23.560 matter is the last few projects I've worked on, I didn't have the best experiences. One of the last
00:27:32.540 movies I did, one of the producers asked me to, like he hired a girl that he was sleeping with and
00:27:41.860 then he had her ask me to have a threesome with them. So like, that's my boss. And so I don't really
00:27:51.620 want to be pressured to have threesomes with my boss. And so I'm having a new job now, which is similar to
00:27:58.020 my old job, but it's a little bit different. Good honor. Good honor. This is a reminder that
00:28:05.160 integrity has a cost to it. There are going to be all sorts of temptations in life to give up your
00:28:12.300 integrity, to trade your integrity for a little bit more fame or a little bit more money or whatever.
00:28:17.500 A little more convenience, a little more ease. And she says no. And so she's giving up acting projects
00:28:22.620 because she doesn't want to take a ride on the casting couch. Some people are saying, well,
00:28:28.460 she shouldn't have to pay the cost of that integrity. This dirtbag producer, he should be
00:28:33.020 held accountable. Yeah, he should. Totally. He should. Would that it were so simple.
00:28:41.060 That's not the way Hollywood works. Don't look at us conservatives. It's not the conservatives who run
00:28:46.140 Hollywood, okay? That's not the way Hollywood works. That's not the way Hollywood has ever worked.
00:28:54.120 There's risk of corruption in all industries, but especially show business, because the promise of
00:28:59.300 fame is so tempting and so precious to so many people. And because the commodity that you are
00:29:07.700 selling in show business is yourself, is your body. So it's no surprise that that commodity is
00:29:15.700 traded in the back rooms, even as it's traded on camera as well. And she knew that. And so
00:29:22.160 Grace Van Dien could try to restart the Me Too movement. The Me Too movement was always bogus.
00:29:26.680 It was always just a PR stunt. Not the women who were complaining about the abuse,
00:29:32.960 but all of the Hollywood dirtbag men who said, oh, he for she, I'm with her, I'm, time's up,
00:29:39.440 Me Too. They're all the ones perpetrating it. And they had no intention of changing their behavior.
00:29:44.340 It was all totally fake. And so instead of Grace Van Dien saying, I'm going to wait for reality to be
00:29:51.460 different than it has always been in this dirty town, I'm just going to, I'm not going to do it.
00:29:57.480 If that's the cost of being a big star in Hollywood, I'm not going to do it. I'll go do something else.
00:30:02.440 Good honor. This is the consequence of a theme that we've been talking about for the past week,
00:30:09.500 which is feminism and the sexual revolution. Feminism says women and men should be treated
00:30:15.900 exactly the same. They're indiscernible. Woman needs a man like fish needs a bicycle.
00:30:20.740 Well, consequence of that is men are not going to treat women with a special care. They're going
00:30:24.700 to treat women the way they'd treat men with the same kind of roughness that they would treat men.
00:30:29.180 And that's, that's no good because men and women really are different. The sexual revolution as a
00:30:34.360 consequence of feminism says, oh, sex, it's, it can be totally casual. It doesn't mean anything. And so
00:30:40.000 sex is going to be traded as a casual thing in Hollywood. It's a direct consequence of this.
00:30:47.240 And rather than try to change the whole world, Grace, Grace Van Dien says, I'm out. See ya.
00:30:54.480 Good honor. Very, very impressive. I think it's irrefutable though. All the sexual revolution
00:31:02.260 stuff stemming from feminism has not succeeded at what it promised to do, which is make everybody
00:31:06.940 happier. It has made everybody more miserable. I gave this talk in Buffalo on Thursday.
00:31:13.920 Thousand people showed up, even though the room was relatively small. It's only about a 300 person room.
00:31:18.600 Probably 500 protesters. So even just the protesters wouldn't have been able to fit into the room.
00:31:23.540 And it was a fairly modest speech on the history of feminism and how it pertains to
00:31:30.120 political correctness, wokeness, leftism, relatively dry speech. But people got so wound up about it.
00:31:37.640 There was a debriefing at the Gender Institute of the University of Buffalo, debriefing by these
00:31:43.920 professors and students to, to work through the stress and anxiety caused by my campus lecture.
00:31:50.960 This was a really emotional experience. So I think I'm going to go back a step and say it was an awful
00:31:59.220 experience. Um, and that probably the worst part of it was the absolute glee that some of the audience
00:32:09.840 took. Honestly, I have not seen such glee except maybe in, you know, Nazi, like propaganda, you know,
00:32:18.200 like it was, it was really something. The long lines were engineered, um, to create fear. So there
00:32:25.700 wasn't like, that's not free in public discourse. That's a performance. Okay.
00:32:33.760 So much there. First of all, the long lines were engineered to create fear. The, the long lines
00:32:41.600 were a result of lots of people showing up to the event. They weren't engineered there. There was a
00:32:48.200 door to the event and people were allowed in until it, the room was filled. And when you are waiting
00:32:55.700 to get into a show or a lecture or any public space, you wait in a line. It was the fear,
00:33:04.340 the, the long lines of the fear. And, and, but if you did make it into the room, the worst part was
00:33:10.420 the glee. People actually liked what this awful man said. And the only time I've seen glee like this
00:33:17.780 was in Nazi propaganda. If your only reference point for glee is Nazi propaganda, something has gone
00:33:29.800 seriously wrong in your life. If you, if you can't, when you think of glee, you don't think of my child's
00:33:38.140 birthday party. The, the look on my loved one's face as we watched the sunset. If you know, you, you, the
00:33:45.860 only gleeful experience that you can think of is a Nazi propaganda movie. Your life does not have enough
00:33:53.560 glee. Okay. You need to go outside and touch grass and I don't know, go watch a movie or something, you know,
00:33:59.360 take a walk on the beach, anything, anything, get, get something in your life that is not totally
00:34:05.900 misery inducing. But unfortunately these people live their lives in, in accordance with ideas that
00:34:16.660 are not conducive to their flourishing. I mean, that was the whole point of the talk. I said that
00:34:20.480 these ideas such as feminism promised to make you happy. And then every measure we have of it
00:34:25.820 shows that they have not made you happy. They've made you more and more miserable.
00:34:30.040 So if you, if you suffer at any point in your life, well, that's just life. Life has suffering to it.
00:34:35.900 Okay. And you're going to have bad days and the rain falls on the just and the unjust alike. And
00:34:39.800 that's just part of it. But if you are constantly miserable, if you never ever feel glee and someone
00:34:50.000 else exhibiting happiness causes you pain, that's on you. Something, something is wrong in your mind
00:34:57.920 and you need to change your mind a little bit or else you're going to continue living a very
00:35:03.760 miserable life. You've seen this throughout higher education, not just at the University of Buffalo.
00:35:08.480 Stanford Law School. Stanford Law School just exhibited one of the most shameful displays I
00:35:16.700 have ever seen or heard of in a university. A judge showed up to give a talk at Stanford Law School.
00:35:25.420 Stanford Law School is ranked the number two law school in America. Judges, Fifth Circuit Judge
00:35:30.920 Kyle Duncan. He showed up to a Federalist Society event. And then students showed up to protest him,
00:35:39.760 screaming, obscene, disgusting, sexual, vulgar things at him, calling him a liar, calling him a
00:35:46.340 scumbag. At a certain point, Judge Duncan had had enough of this. He said, can someone, I don't know
00:35:52.580 what these people are doing, but can someone please get an administrator in here to break order back to
00:35:56.560 a classroom at Stanford Law School? So the administrator shows up. The administrator
00:36:02.480 takes the side of the shrieking, howling, vulgar, obscene, crazy students.
00:36:09.180 The administrator shows up. Do we have a video clip of this?
00:36:12.200 I'm going to speak here and I'm being heckled nonstop. And I'm just asking for an administrator to
00:36:18.080 stop. If you want a mother-in-law's idea, you have gotten what you wanted, take it.
00:36:33.020 Can I help? Do you want an echo chamber? What's the issue?
00:36:35.860 Can I help?
00:36:36.800 I have to write something down because I'm so uncomfortable up here and I don't say that for sympathy. I just say I'm deeply, deeply uncomfortable. I'm uncomfortable because this event is tearing at the fabric of this community that I care about and I'm here to support.
00:37:02.000 And I don't know and I have to ask myself and I'm not a cynic to ask this. Is the juice worth the squeeze? And it's uncomfortable to say this to you as a person. It's uncomfortable to say that for many people here, your work has caused harm.
00:37:17.100 Okay. Is the juice worth the squeeze? That's the administrator. She says, look, your lecture is tearing us all apart at this community and I guess you have a right to give it.
00:37:29.540 And so this is very, very terrible. And the judge shows up and gives a talk. And the administrator is called in to put down these howling banshees and say, pipe down so you can listen to your better.
00:37:40.220 Pipe down so you can listen to an actual federal judge from whom you can learn quite a lot if any of you ever want to be lawyers or judges someday.
00:37:47.360 And she says, you know, is the juice worth the squeeze? RIP, higher education.
00:37:57.340 The scary part is not that this is the number two law school in the country. By the way, the number one law school, Yale Law School, had a very similar incident last year with Christian Wagoner from the Alliance Defending Freedom.
00:38:07.820 Christian Wagoner, a very respected judge, Supreme Court litigator, shows up, gives a talk on religious liberty.
00:38:11.980 And the students also start screaming and howling like a bunch of animals.
00:38:16.960 And the Stanford administration, the Yale administration, they both paid lip service afterward to, okay, this wasn't totally great.
00:38:24.080 Uh-uh. Unless that administrator at Stanford is fired, unless those students are expelled, then it's all just BS. Talk is cheap, okay?
00:38:31.720 And the fear is not even just that higher education is dead, that the most prestigious law schools in the countries are dead.
00:38:37.640 Instead, the fear is that these people are going to be lawyers someday. These people might be judges someday.
00:38:44.220 The fear is not just that higher education is gone. It's that our whole system of law and order and civil government is gone.
00:38:53.260 What if I told you that there's one book that has done more for literacy than any other book?
00:38:57.140 It has shaped literature, art, culture, government, and countless lives.
00:39:00.040 I am, of course, referring to the Bible.
00:39:02.960 You know who else the Bible's had an influence on?
00:39:04.680 Jordan B. Peterson.
00:39:06.100 In addition to his Exodus series, Jordan has a documentary called Logos and Literacy,
00:39:10.320 where he traces the Bible through history to show you the impact that it has had on the Western world.
00:39:14.640 Here's the trailer.
00:39:16.200 I was very much struck by how the translation of the biblical writings jump-started the development of literacy across the entire world.
00:39:26.340 Illiteracy was the norm.
00:39:28.240 The pastor's home was the first school.
00:39:30.960 And every morning it would begin with singing.
00:39:33.340 The Christian faith is a singing religion.
00:39:36.980 Probably 80% of scripture memorization today exists only because of what is sung.
00:39:41.760 This is amazing.
00:39:42.840 Here we have a Gutenberg Bible, a Bible printed on the press of Johann Gutenberg.
00:39:48.980 Science and religion are opposing forces in the world, but historically that has not been the case.
00:39:56.680 Now the book is available to everyone.
00:39:58.400 From Shakespeare to modern education and medicine and science to civilization itself.
00:40:07.660 It is the most influential book in all of history, and hopefully people can walk away with at least a sense of that.
00:40:14.880 This is the part where I would normally tell you that Logos and Literacy is only available for Daily Wire Plus members.
00:40:22.140 But we are making it available for free for everybody at DailyWirePlus.com.
00:40:26.880 Only for a limited time though.
00:40:28.120 So watch Logos and Literacy today at DailyWirePlus.com.
00:40:32.360 Speaking of hysterical leftists.
00:40:39.500 We're a few months early here, but I'm prepared to bring this out now.
00:40:45.320 Got to give a hat tip to Jack Posobiec for calling my attention to this.
00:40:49.340 June 21st, 2018.
00:40:54.640 Greta Thunberg, St. Greta of the Blessed Sailboat, tweets out.
00:40:59.800 A top climate scientist is warning that climate change will wipe out all of humanity unless we stop using fossil fuels over the next five years.
00:41:11.680 Greta has apparently deleted this tweet.
00:41:14.000 I'm just going to look at my calculations here.
00:41:18.220 It's 2018, now it's 2023.
00:41:20.900 Carry the seven.
00:41:22.860 Oh, it's been five years.
00:41:26.340 It's been four years and what, nine months?
00:41:29.700 We are approaching the end of the world, aren't we?
00:41:31.880 And yet, the behavior of people might seem to predict the end of the world, but the natural facts of the earth seem just fine.
00:41:40.620 Now, another doomsday prophecy has not come true, as all the rest of the doomsday prophecies have not come true.
00:41:50.460 This is what the libs always do.
00:41:53.980 They tell you that in 12 years, 10 years, five years, the world is going to end unless you do exactly what they demand that you do,
00:42:03.420 unless you give them all the money and all the power, and then maybe we'll avert the end of the world.
00:42:07.900 And then those prophecies never come true.
00:42:10.480 But they're so far into the future that the libs assume that you'll never call them out when they don't come true.
00:42:16.720 This has been the case since, well, since all of human history.
00:42:21.080 But it goes back to the population bomb.
00:42:24.360 Paul Ehrlich in the population bomb said in 1970 that within 10 years, there would be mass famines.
00:42:30.520 The world population would plummet.
00:42:32.680 It was inevitable.
00:42:33.660 We could start now sterilizing people and killing babies through abortion, and we might need to even coerce it.
00:42:40.260 But it's still not going to help all that much.
00:42:42.940 These predictions led directly to policies in places like India, which sterilized lots of poor people in exchange for the use of utilities.
00:42:51.500 Places like China, which had the one-child policy, killed untold numbers of babies because of these sorts of predictions.
00:42:57.980 And then it didn't come true.
00:43:00.900 It didn't matter.
00:43:01.520 Actually, 50 years on, the world population doubled malnutrition.
00:43:05.340 It was in an all-time low.
00:43:08.040 Oops, got it wrong.
00:43:09.060 It's always wrong.
00:43:10.960 It's all these predictions about climate change and about the population bomb, about the end of the world.
00:43:17.640 They're always false.
00:43:19.040 And it's important to celebrate when they don't come true.
00:43:22.240 Shouldn't we be happy?
00:43:23.020 Shouldn't Greta be happy?
00:43:24.380 Why doesn't Greta retweet this and say, hello, how wonderful?
00:43:27.360 I don't really know how the Swedes sound.
00:43:29.000 Don't you know this is so wonderful?
00:43:31.240 The world hasn't ended.
00:43:32.440 Yippee, hooray.
00:43:33.060 No, they're upset when it doesn't happen.
00:43:35.220 They hide it.
00:43:35.840 They have to delete it.
00:43:36.800 They say, oh, my calculations were a little wrong.
00:43:40.460 But three more years, if you don't give me what I want.
00:43:42.980 Three more years, that's when the world is going to end.
00:43:45.220 Okay, see you in three more years.
00:43:47.280 What's the point of all this?
00:43:48.660 The Energy Secretary for Joe Biden explained what the point of all of this is.
00:43:54.060 I think China has done, has been very sensitive and has actually invested a lot in their solutions to achieve their goals.
00:44:04.920 So we're hopeful that, you know, we can all learn from what China is doing.
00:44:09.920 But the amount of money that they're investing in clean energy is actually, you know, encouraging.
00:44:15.480 There it is.
00:44:17.760 There's the point.
00:44:19.280 The point is to make our system of government look more like China's.
00:44:24.740 It's not just Jennifer Granholm and the Biden administration who's saying this.
00:44:27.860 The World Economic Forum has been saying this.
00:44:29.900 The liberal elites all over the world have been saying this.
00:44:32.320 They look at China's model and they say, oh, that's a pretty good way for the elite to take a lot of power over the people.
00:44:38.860 What's the model?
00:44:41.160 The model is mass surveillance.
00:44:43.220 The model is a social credit system.
00:44:45.940 And the model is the total control of people's habits of living all the way down to what kind of stoves they use to heat their pots of gruel.
00:44:55.180 All the way down to what kind of transportation they're allowed to take, whether or not they're able to leave their homes.
00:45:00.680 All the way down.
00:45:02.240 And how do they justify it?
00:45:03.900 They justify it in the name of this eschatology of climate change.
00:45:08.260 This woke pseudo-religion that has all of the elements of a religion.
00:45:13.340 All of the kind of quasi-sacraments.
00:45:17.900 All of the kinds of rituals.
00:45:20.480 All the kinds of liturgical garments.
00:45:23.560 And, of course, the end times prophecies.
00:45:26.800 That climate change exists to animate this move away from our traditional way of life toward this new way of life.
00:45:35.260 And it's not just that this new way of life is communist.
00:45:37.540 It's not just that China is a purely communist country.
00:45:40.300 It's not.
00:45:41.480 China uses market mechanisms.
00:45:45.520 China, I don't think Xi Jinping is the most ideologically orthodox Marxist that's ever lived.
00:45:51.560 And, frankly, I don't think that their system is all that different from the system in the West.
00:45:55.720 We have the same kind of mass surveillance that China does.
00:45:59.300 In fact, we have a much more sophisticated system of mass surveillance that we use against our own people.
00:46:04.780 We have a social credit system, whether the United States wants to admit it or not.
00:46:09.220 If you contradict the ruling regime, you can have your Uber shut down.
00:46:16.820 You can be put on a no-fly list.
00:46:18.560 You can be debanked.
00:46:20.140 This has happened to political dissidents in the United States.
00:46:23.300 And because our society is increasingly moving away from cash, you can be frozen out of the system, out of the financial system.
00:46:32.980 You won't be able to protest either because you'll be deplatformed from social media, which is the public square.
00:46:38.360 It doesn't look all that different.
00:46:39.760 So when the ruling class liberals tell you, we want to look like China, believe them.
00:46:46.760 They're telling you their plans.
00:46:49.280 And you're even seeing this impulse in the way they use language.
00:46:54.020 The idea that in the total state, in a totalitarian regime, everything down to your private thoughts is controlled by the ruling power.
00:47:04.400 The words that you are allowed to use, history, what actually happened, what people actually said.
00:47:12.080 No, no, no, you didn't hear that.
00:47:13.520 No, no, no, you didn't see that.
00:47:15.680 No, no, no.
00:47:17.780 History is always changing.
00:47:20.360 Reality is always changing.
00:47:21.800 The party, whatever the party says is always right.
