Summary

After spending months claiming not to want to take away your gas stoves, liberals are taking them away. After all, they re much better than electric stoves. That s less important than what the liberal fatwa against proper cooking equipment says about how the left conducts politics.

00:00:35.700 Good Ranchers, American meat delivered.
00:00:37.860 After spending months claiming not to want to take away your gas stoves, liberals are taking away your gas stoves.
00:00:45.400 Which is unfortunate because gas stoves are great.
00:00:48.760 They're much better than electric stoves.
00:00:50.280 But that is less important than what the liberal fatwa against proper cooking equipment says about how the left conducts politics.
00:00:59.660 Back in January, you may remember the Biden administration threatened to ban gas stoves.
00:01:07.060 That's why I think we need to be talking about regulating gas stoves, whether that's drastically improving emissions or banning gas stoves entirely.
00:01:14.660 And I think we ought to keep that possibility of a ban in mind as you follow along, because it's a powerful tool in our toolbox.
00:01:22.180 It's a real possibility here.
00:01:23.920 Real possibility.
00:01:25.320 We're looking to ban the gas stoves.
00:01:26.700 So instantly, of course, the liberal journos and faked fact checkers leapt into action to convince people that we didn't all hear what we all just heard.
00:01:37.700 AP, fact focus, Biden administration isn't banning gas stoves.
00:01:45.180 Yes, well, there were some comments from a Consumer Product Safety Commission official that we're going to ban the gas stoves and everything.
00:01:51.540 But no, no, we're not going to do that.
00:01:53.020 Never mind.
00:01:53.760 New York Times, no, Biden is not trying to ban gas stoves.
00:01:58.020 We have here from Intelligencer, the gas stove ban freakout is the story we need right now.
00:02:05.100 How about Newsweek, Republicans mocked over outraged claims that government is coming for gas stoves.
00:02:13.040 What a bunch of crazy conspiracy theory idiots, right?
00:02:16.360 We have here from AccuWeather for some reason.
00:02:19.060 We're not taking away your gas stove, regulator tells CNN.
00:02:24.080 And then we've got, what do we have?
00:02:26.920 Republicans have found their new dumb culture war.
00:02:29.860 This is from MSNBC.
00:02:31.440 Big, dumb, stupid culture war.
00:02:33.240 Obviously, the Democrats are not going to take away our gas stoves.
00:02:38.220 And now, Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul has banned gas stoves in new buildings in New York.
00:02:46.100 Existing buildings are not yet affected, but every single new building in the state of New York will be.
00:02:52.400 According to Governor Hochul's spokeslady, which was reported in the New York Times,
00:02:56.240 The new law will not have any loopholes that will undermine the intent of this measure.
00:03:02.740 There will not be any option for municipalities to opt out.
00:03:07.460 The stoves are just one issue.
00:03:10.800 The libs do this with every one of their schemes that conservatives oppose.
00:03:17.660 Marriage, immigration, transing the kids.
00:03:20.500 In every case, the policy that we oppose is a crazy conspiracy theory that's totally insane.
00:03:28.340 It's never going to happen.
00:03:29.960 What are you talking about?
00:03:31.560 Until, of course, it is firmly established, old news, and they tell us, too late to fix.
00:03:39.400 I'm Michael Knowles.
00:03:40.160 This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:03:41.020 Welcome back to the show.
00:03:51.780 2024 heating up.
00:03:53.440 A lot of candidates going after a certain Florida governor.
00:03:56.620 The knives are out for Ron DeSantis, which we will get to in just a second.
00:04:01.600 First, though, I don't want to move on too quickly from these liberal journos
00:04:05.800 who just lie and spread propaganda for the regime and deny reality and fact-check the facts
00:04:13.240 and try to promote falsehood instead of the facts.
00:04:16.560 These guys just had their favorite event of the year.
00:04:20.140 That would be the White House Correspondents Association Dinner.
00:04:24.860 Now, the White House Correspondents Association Dinner used to be a kind of a funny event in Washington, D.C.
00:04:31.080 And it was when the people who were reporting on the White House, all those journalists,
00:04:36.860 they would get to go and make jokes about Washington, D.C.
00:04:41.240 And they'd usually get a comedian to come into the room and make fun of them.
00:04:44.500 And the president would often stop by and make jokes about them as well.
00:04:48.560 And it was all kind of funny, and it was fairly self-effacing.
00:04:51.620 And that is over.
00:04:53.720 The White House Correspondents Association Dinner has now become the Oscars.
00:05:00.020 It's hard to differentiate between the Oscars and the White House Correspondents Association Dinner
00:05:05.220 because these liberal journos have puffed themselves up so much,
00:05:11.020 and Hollywood celebrities have degraded themselves so much.
00:05:13.880 They seem to have met in the middle now.
00:05:15.840 And so you lose all of the glitz and glamour and everything aspirational that used to make the Oscars worth watching.
00:05:21.900 And you also lose the self-effacing reality that used to give the journos some credibility.
00:05:30.200 These were just tough guys who were pursuing a story, speaking truth to power.
00:05:33.760 They were grizzled.
00:05:34.560 You weren't going to get one over on them.
00:05:36.220 Now it's red carpets.
00:05:38.140 Now it's photo lines.
00:05:40.520 Now Chrissy Teigen, who I'm reliably informed is a celebrity.
00:05:45.000 All I know about Chrissy Teigen is that Candace has a fight with her or something,
00:05:48.380 and they kind of make funny videos on the Internet about her.
00:05:52.060 Chrissy Teigen was walking into the White House Correspondents Association Dinner dressed to the nines.
00:05:58.940 I guess undressed to the nines, actually.
00:06:00.560 She wasn't wearing a ton.
00:06:01.580 This woman had her servants walking behind her carrying the rest of her gown.
00:06:08.100 And the scene was kind of funny because there were a lot of global warming protesters
00:06:12.340 who were surrounding her and the other attendees screaming about how we need to ban gas stoves, I guess.
00:06:18.000 And so, but she's walking in.
00:06:20.140 She's got her celebrity husband whose name escapes me.
00:06:22.360 He's wearing a tuxedo.
00:06:23.560 And then she has her slaves in the background carrying the trail of her dress.
00:06:28.580 And so much for the fourth estate and so much for speaking on behalf of the little guy and speaking truth to power.
00:06:37.080 There were other celebrities too.
00:06:38.980 There was that gal who Kanye West briefly dated.
00:06:42.440 There were some other people, Vander something, Vanderpump, is that a name of a celebrity?
00:06:47.680 I don't know.
00:06:48.540 I'm checked out.
00:06:49.660 I don't deal with this pop culture because it's so desiccated and shallow and absurd.
00:06:55.700 But the White House Correspondents, who are supposed to be the most grounded people in our media,
00:07:01.420 they're palling around with all these guys.
00:07:03.220 Julia Fox, I do remember her name.
00:07:05.060 She was the one who dated Kanye West.
00:07:08.740 And then, do you know the most absurd aspect of all about the White House Correspondents Association Dinner?
00:07:13.620 This is the part that grates on me the most.
00:07:18.200 It's not that they want their fancy dinner with all their celebrities to hobnob around and not oppose the establishment,
00:07:23.580 but be part of the establishment.
00:07:24.720 That I've come to expect.
00:07:25.800 The part that grates on me the most about the White House Correspondents Association Dinner
00:07:29.200 is that they refer to it as nerd prom.
00:07:32.600 Nerd prom, which implies that these people are knowledgeable and intelligent,
00:07:40.020 which are two adjectives that I don't think you could say describe the Washington, D.C. press corps.
00:07:47.440 Certainly not the White House press corps.
00:07:52.180 Nerd prom.
00:07:53.920 A lot of people don't use nerd in this way anymore.
00:07:55.820 This is still the primary definition of nerd, though.
00:07:58.920 Some people think nerd just means you're really hyper-enthusiastic and focused on some niche subject matter.
00:08:05.380 But, you know, it does imply intelligence.
00:08:07.180 I couldn't remember if I was just going crazy, so I looked it up in Merriam-Webster, and it says,
00:08:10.420 primary definition, a person devoted to intellectual, academic, or technical pursuits or interests.
00:08:18.720 Does that define Washington, D.C. journos to you?
00:08:22.520 The people who cover the White House?
00:08:24.420 No, not at all.
00:08:26.300 Would that it did.
00:08:27.100 There have been times when journalists have been associated with intelligence,
00:08:35.560 with knowledge in a particular subject area.
00:08:39.880 That's gone.
00:08:41.960 That's gone.
00:08:42.720 The journos in the liberal media establishment, which attends this dinner,
00:08:47.420 they are much less informed on these issues.
00:08:51.220 They take these sorts of issues much less seriously than the average person on the street.
00:08:59.140 Perhaps that's why our political order is crumbling a little bit.
00:09:01.920 That's why you've got to check out Birch Gold.
00:09:03.480 Right now, text Knowles to 989898.
00:09:05.220 President Trump recently issued a warning from his Mar-a-Lago home.
00:09:08.960 Quote, our currency is crashing and will soon no longer be the world standard, which will be our greatest defeat, frankly, in 200 years.
00:09:15.940 There are three reasons the central banks are dumping the U.S. dollar.
00:09:19.680 Inflation, deficit spending, and our insurmountable national debt.
00:09:25.020 The fact is there is one asset that has withstood famine wars in political and economic upheaval dating back to biblical times.
00:09:31.760 That is gold.
00:09:32.800 And you can own it in a tax-sheltered retirement account with the help of Birch Gold.

00:10:14.880 Speaking of supposed nerd experts, Dr. Fauci, our old buddy Dr. Fauci, he's back on CNN,
00:10:23.380 speaking to Christiane Amanpour, who Drew rightly dubbed Christiane Amanpour journalist.
00:10:30.500 Interviewing Dr. Fauci, we're now three years after two weeks to slow the spread.
00:10:36.940 And we're trying to make sense of what has happened over the last two years.
00:10:41.900 And Dr. Fauci says, look, we've got to stop playing the blame game.
00:10:47.380 Was the closing of the schools too draconian?
00:10:51.180 How much of a delay did the fact that nobody fully understood the asymptomatic spread of this,
00:10:58.080 nobody figured out that it could actually bust through certain vaccine levels as well?
00:11:02.500 What are the real takeaways, the real lessons for public health?
00:11:07.100 I think we have to get away from the blame game because so many of the things that you have mentioned
00:11:11.840 were unknowns at the time.
00:11:14.440 I kept on saying over and over again, we've got to get the children back to school as quickly as possible.
00:11:20.280 We've got to get them in school safely.
00:11:22.400 And we've got to make sure that they are not essentially out of school, at home, getting all of the negative consequences.
00:11:31.320 Different parts of the country interpreted that differently.
00:11:35.820 There were schools that stayed closed far too long and longer than they should have.
00:11:41.020 And there were those that essentially didn't close at all.
00:11:44.160 I guess you probably should have been a little clearer, Dr. Fauci.
00:11:49.200 I love he says, look, we get to stop playing the blame game.
00:11:51.980 We just didn't know, okay.
00:11:53.480 And then, but then I was very clear.
00:11:55.080 It was totally unclear, but I was very clear.
00:11:57.900 And then the people who interpreted me, they didn't realize how clear it was.
00:12:01.000 So they interpreted it wrong sometimes.
00:12:02.660 And anyway, it's not my fault.
00:12:04.880 Whatever went wrong, that's not my fault.
00:12:07.100 Whatever went right, that was all me.
00:12:09.480 I am the science.
00:12:10.900 Bow down before me, you dirty peasants.
00:12:14.900 I am the science.
00:12:17.060 All hail the science.
00:12:19.140 Gotta stop playing that blame game.
00:12:21.800 It wasn't clear.
00:12:23.180 We just didn't know.
00:12:24.560 We didn't know.
00:12:25.720 That's funny because I knew.
00:12:28.700 I knew and you knew and my friends knew generally and your friends probably knew too.
00:12:36.480 How is it?
00:12:36.940 That's so weird because I don't have any degrees from Johns Hopkins.
00:12:40.560 I've never worked at MIT.
00:12:42.160 I don't read peer-reviewed scientific studies on epidemiology.
00:12:47.460 And yet, I knew somehow that putting a hanky on my face wasn't going to prevent me from catching the virus.
00:12:54.240 I knew that standing six feet away from people wasn't going to really do anything.
00:13:01.720 I knew that not visiting my grandmother wasn't going to save people's lives.
00:13:10.240 I knew that that experimental drug that they rushed through might not be the most effective thing at stopping.
00:13:20.260 I knew.
00:13:22.040 You know, I hate to say I told you so, but I guess I'm saying it a lot over and over again.
00:13:25.500 And you've probably been saying it a lot over and over again for the last three years.
00:13:28.780 So, how is it that we all knew and Dr. Fauci didn't?
00:13:37.280 Don't we need to answer that question?
00:13:39.420 That the people in charge were wrong about everything and ordinary Joe Blow on the street,
00:13:45.300 who doesn't have a particularly specialized education, he was right about everything.
00:13:50.760 How is it that the whole journalist class was totally wrong?
00:13:53.120 And the readers of the newspapers and the websites and the viewers of the TV shows, we were largely right.
00:14:01.820 We were so right that we would contradict them.
00:14:05.180 And then big tech would come in and they would censor us for doing that.
00:14:08.740 And they would take our show off the air sometimes for doing that.
00:14:12.400 How do you explain all of that?
00:14:14.760 I think we need a lot more of the blame game.
00:14:17.680 And I think the liberals agree with me.
00:14:19.640 So, the liberals right now are indicting Donald Trump in New York for making an in-kind contribution to his own campaign seven years ago,
00:14:35.580 which would not be a crime at all, but they're trying to twist it and pretend that it's a misdemeanor.
00:14:40.520 And then they're trying to twist that and say that it's a felony.
00:14:44.260 Years after the statute of limitations on the misdemeanor would have run out,
00:14:47.640 but it's not really a misdemeanor because candidates are allowed to donate as much to their campaign as they want.
00:14:53.900 That was seven years ago.
00:14:55.220 We're still playing that blame game?
00:14:57.840 No, we're just not supposed to play the blame game when it comes to the ruling class that shut our world down for no reason.
00:15:05.500 Well, for no good reason.
00:15:07.660 They shut it down and they themselves got more power.
00:15:10.920 And they shut it down and they themselves got more money.
00:15:12.580 It was the largest transfer of wealth in human history from the lower class to the upper class.
00:15:18.260 And yet, we're not supposed to play that blame game.
00:15:22.600 Move along, sheep.
00:15:24.100 We won.
00:15:25.000 It's a conspiracy theory.
00:15:26.400 It's all fake.
00:15:27.180 You're all totally crazy.
00:15:28.740 And yeah, you were right, but it's old news.
00:15:30.560 Move along.
00:15:31.280 Move along.
00:15:32.560 What the confidence on that guy, wouldn't you say?
00:15:35.360 Amazing, that kind of undue confidence.
00:15:38.180 Speaking of undue confidence, Whoopi Goldberg on The View has just come out to scold Christians because Christians don't want to trans the kids.
00:15:49.900 And Whoopi is convinced that the Bible is very, very clear about how we should trans the kids.
00:15:58.920 My God, this is a party that says we believe in parents' rights.
00:16:03.480 You're telling me that as a parent, I'm not smart enough to decide if my child and I need to have gender affirming.
00:16:13.860 Our doctors are not involved.
00:16:15.660 So I can't decide what my kid reads.
00:16:19.240 I can't decide for my child what my child says is going on.
00:16:24.060 You're telling me your beliefs, and they keep saying it, and I keep saying, what Bible are you reading?
00:16:30.060 Yeah.
00:16:30.800 Because God was really clear.
00:16:33.480 God was really clear that we need to trans the kids and have the kids read gay porn in schools, so says Whoopi Goldberg.
00:16:44.260 I love, too, she focuses on, she says, these parents aren't even able to decide what their kids are going to read in schools.
00:16:53.200 Which, by the way, the whole issue over the gay porn in the schools right now is that parents don't want their kids to be exposed to gay porn in schools.
00:17:02.100 It's the teachers and the weirdos and the ideologues who want the kids to read gay porn in schools.
00:17:06.740 The parents are saying, please don't do that, and the libs are coming in and saying the parents don't have that right.
00:17:10.900 And Whoopi flips it, and she says, parents should be able to teach their kids gay porn.
00:17:14.920 But then, of course, you run up against this issue, which is, there's only one book that you're not allowed to read in schools.
00:17:23.080 There's only one book that our Supreme Court has said you're not allowed to be taught in schools.
00:17:27.460 That, of course, would be the Bible, which Whoopi says that she's quoting.
00:17:31.060 It would seem likely to me that Whoopi Goldberg has not read the Bible.
00:17:34.340 No, the Bible does not say we ought to trans the kids.
00:17:36.340 The point I want to make on it actually has nothing to do with transing the kids or Whoopi Goldberg.
00:17:42.100 The point I want to make on it is that line she says.
00:17:45.480 She says, it's so clear.
00:17:47.520 The Bible is very clear.
00:17:51.300 When someone says the Bible is very clear without any other context,
00:17:59.080 you should be very skeptical of whatever follows.
00:18:01.620 Wise people avail themselves of history.
00:18:11.700 So, in the modern world, we just take one sentence and we say, well, there's no other context matters.
00:18:19.520 As Derrida said, there is no outside text.
00:18:21.980 So, it doesn't matter what we know about the author or the time in which he lived or the works that he's referring to
00:18:29.960 or the great conversation that's taking place over the course of history.
00:18:32.420 No, all that matters is the words on the page and then whatever interpretation I want to foist upon the words.
00:18:38.120 That's how modern people view things.
00:18:40.460 And it's not just on the left.
00:18:41.640 Even some people who would consider themselves more centrist or even right-wing will do that.
00:18:46.480 Especially when it comes to the Bible.
00:18:47.740 But we don't have to do that.
00:18:50.500 That's a very liberal, modern approach.
00:18:53.400 Conservatives can avail ourselves of the wisdom of the ages.
00:18:57.080 Because our own stock of reason is relatively paltry.
00:19:01.480 Even those of us speaking and listening to the show right now,
00:19:05.820 who I know were definitely probably a couple notches above the people who attend the White House Correspondents Association dinner
00:19:13.160 in terms of understanding and wisdom and overall handsomeness.
00:19:16.540 I know.
00:19:17.300 But believe it or not, even we don't know very much about very much.
00:19:21.780 And so, it's prudent to avail ourselves of the wisdom of the ages.
00:19:26.700 And so, if Whoopi had said, okay, I read somewhere in the Bible that we should trans the kids.
00:19:30.780 I don't know what verse I saw that in.
00:19:32.200 But let's look at the history of the church.
00:19:35.120 Has the church ever taught that it's good to trans the kids?
00:19:38.600 No.
00:19:39.600 Okay, so where did I get that idea?
00:19:41.300 What is more likely?
00:19:42.300 That every Christian that ever came before me, including all the great doctors of the church,
00:19:47.180 St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Augustine, all, that they were all wrong,
00:19:51.520 and I, doctor of the church, Whoopi Goldberg, am right, or that I got it wrong?
00:19:56.640 What's more likely?
00:19:57.340 Obviously, the latter.
00:19:59.160 You actually just saw this play out in Hungary.
00:20:01.240 The Pope went and visited Hungary.
00:20:04.640 Hungary, strong, right-wing government, doing a lot of great stuff.
00:20:07.400 Pope Francis, sometimes he talks a little bit in a kind of fusing way.
00:20:12.180 Papa Francesco was misinterpreted by La Repubblica, a journal, a newspaper in Italy.
00:20:17.900 And he'll say things, and then sometimes the journalists are, in fact, misinterpreting him.
00:20:22.660 Sometimes what the Holy Father says is somewhat ambiguous.
00:20:26.140 But what he said in Hungary was not ambiguous at all, and it shocked a lot of liberals.
00:20:30.600 I will translate what the Pope says.
00:20:34.100 This is a nefarious path of ideological colonization that eliminates differences,
00:20:42.920 as in the case of gender culture, which eliminates differences,
00:20:49.240 or prioritizes other things, reducing freedom, for example,
00:20:57.020 and creating an insane right to abortion.
00:21:02.320 That is always a tragic defeat.
00:21:03.980 How beautiful, instead, would it be to build a Europe centered on people and peoples
00:21:11.280 where effective policies for birth and family are?
00:21:15.400 We have countries in Europe where the median age is 46 or 48 years old.
00:21:23.300 What if we have a country in which the growth and uniqueness of each individual is preserved?
00:21:35.020 It's a great idea.
00:21:36.160 So in there, he comes out in favor of Hungary's initiative to increase birth rates in Europe.
00:21:44.940 Comes out against abortion, articulates that this is insane to suggest there's such a thing
00:21:49.980 as a right to abortion, and he says that gender ideology is crazy,
00:21:55.500 that it's an ideological colonization that's contrary to reality.
00:22:02.400 But this is a liberal Pope.
00:22:03.960 What do you mean?
00:22:04.940 The liberal Pope is opposed to abortion?
00:22:08.020 Yes, because the church has taught consistently from day one that abortion is completely unacceptable.
00:22:13.960 We see this in the Bible.
00:22:15.240 We see this in the commandment against committing murder.
00:22:17.780 We see this in the scriptural defenses of children.
00:22:21.140 We also see this in the didache, that earliest catechism of the church,
00:22:25.100 going back to the earliest days of the church.
00:22:28.180 What about gender theory?
00:22:29.380 Well, we see this in the Bible.
00:22:30.580 In the beginning, God created man.
00:22:31.700 Both male and female created he them.
00:22:33.480 We see this in the complementarity of the sexes,
00:22:35.460 in the description of marriage in Genesis and in the Gospel of St. Matthew.
00:22:39.200 And we see this throughout the history of the church.
00:22:40.980 So you could say, yes, Pope Francis is liberal.
00:22:43.760 I'm not suggesting that Pope Francis really is desirous of upending church teaching on gender ideology,
00:22:50.900 but he's merely constrained by tradition.
00:22:53.320 I totally take the Pope at his word.
00:22:55.340 I think he's sincere when he says he thinks abortion is insane,
00:22:59.120 and he thinks that gender ideology is crazy and a colonization,
00:23:03.040 and he says it's good to have young people being born.
00:23:06.520 But why is it that the Pope would think that?
00:23:09.940 And why would he advocate for that,
00:23:11.080 even when he has a reputation as a liberal?
00:23:14.360 Because there is no way to overcome not only the clear scripture,
00:23:20.980 but that weight of history.
00:23:23.520 This is why the libs have to attack history.
00:23:26.520 This is why the libs have to turn your eyes away from history.
00:23:30.540 This is why the libs have to get you to focus only on your unfettered reason,
00:23:34.360 and you as an individual totally divorced from your family,
00:23:39.460 from your local community, from your nation, from your democracy,
00:23:44.700 and from what Chesterton would call that greatest democracy of all,
00:23:49.060 the democracy of the dead,
00:23:50.380 which is not merely confined to people who happen to be walking about the earth at this time.

00:25:29.020 You're thinking, Michael, how do you get your hair so shiny and voluminous and spectacular?
00:25:36.580 The answer is Jeremy's Razors shampoo and conditioner.
00:25:39.680 That's right.
00:25:40.320 Jeremy's Razors is more than just a razor company fighting to protect what you believe in.
00:25:44.860 Jeremy's Razors is also a men's grooming brand
00:25:47.560 that does not hate men.
00:25:49.380 And this coif that you see here is fortified
00:25:51.760 thanks to Jeremy's Tea Tree and Argon Oil Infused Shampoo and Conditioner.
00:25:56.540 That's not all.
00:25:58.060 Oh, no.
00:25:59.860 Jeremy's also has an exfoliating charcoal body wash
00:26:03.260 made with a hydrating aloe vera, eucalyptus,
00:26:06.820 and just the right amount of pomegranate.
00:26:08.880 You do not want too much pomegranate in your charcoal body wash, okay?
00:26:14.200 That way lies madness.
00:26:16.620 The men's care products that you see here are made with natural ingredients.
00:26:20.840 They're 100% sulfate-free, paraben-free, woke-free, made right here in the U.S. of A.
00:26:25.440 Head on over to jeremysrazors.com to kick woke companies out of your bathroom today.
00:26:31.360 Speaking of religion, good and bad and right and wrong,
00:26:37.740 in Boston over the weekend, a bunch of Satanists met up
00:26:43.020 in what is now being called the largest gathering of Satanists ever.
00:26:49.200 It was called SatanCon.
00:26:53.460 Big conference for Satanists.
00:26:55.800 They're making a lot of satanic symbols, wearing lots of pentagrams and weird goat head imagery
00:27:00.100 and horns and stuff, looking like a bunch of weirdos and doing really bad things.
00:27:10.340 They're shredding Bibles.
00:27:12.200 They were engaging in, they were performing unbaptizing ceremonies, which is not possible.
00:27:20.020 Baptism leaves an indelible mark on the soul, but these jokers think they can unbaptize you.
00:27:26.020 They were shredding pro-cop flags, you know, the thin blue line, blue lives matter.
00:27:33.800 They were promoting transgenderism.
00:27:36.760 They were promoting abortion.
00:27:38.440 They had talks, sins of the flesh, Satanism and self-pleasure,
00:27:43.840 promoting what Woody Allen euphemistically called sex with someone you love,
00:27:49.460 the sort of thing that one does associated with pornography.
00:27:52.240 They had a talk reclaiming the trans body.
00:27:56.980 And it's easy to kind of just mock these guys or even to feel a great deal of pity for them
00:28:04.360 because you think, oh, these are just a bunch of misfit weirdos dressing up in goat horns
00:28:09.740 and making the rock and roll symbol, and it's no big deal.
00:28:13.380 But they're promoting pretty bad stuff.
00:28:15.100 I mean, transing, castrating children, that's not great.
00:28:19.760 That's a bad thing to promote.
00:28:21.800 Murdering babies through abortion, it's not great.
00:28:25.520 These guys raise money for abortion clinics to kill babies.
00:28:28.880 It gets pretty dark.
00:28:32.700 It'd be easy to laugh at them if the consequences of this stuff were not so dire.
00:28:36.760 And of course, they worship the prince of lies, the father of lies.
00:28:40.700 So the only reason I even bring this up is not to call too much attention to these people.
00:28:45.900 But when conservatives point out that this stuff is satanic,
00:28:54.520 that these ideas that seem like they're just ordinary political issues,
00:29:00.340 we want to take down the cops, abolish the police.
00:29:06.460 Well, we want to allow men who think they're women to just dress up like women,
00:29:10.720 and they really are women.
00:29:12.200 We're going to establish in our law that they're really women.
00:29:14.080 We want women to have choice and have the right to control their own bodies
00:29:19.460 by murdering their children.
00:29:22.540 That's what we support.
00:29:23.600 And a lot of people, including on the right,
00:29:27.720 think, oh, these are just political issues where you have your opinion
00:29:32.180 and I have my opinion.
00:29:33.120 We're in a debate and maybe meet in the middle.
00:29:34.620 But no.
00:29:35.200 People who are serious about these issues recognize that they come down to good and evil.
00:29:47.160 There is a satanic element to lots of these issues that are being pushed by the left.
00:29:54.240 Tucker Carlson may have lost his job for pointing that out.
00:29:57.240 But it's so clear.
00:30:01.620 When conservatives point out that there is a satanic element to all of these issues,
00:30:05.840 you don't need to take our word for it.
00:30:08.520 The Satanists agree.
00:30:11.140 People who actually worship the devil.
00:30:16.020 And most normal people in the middle,
00:30:18.360 it's not that they can't wrap their head around transgenderism or around abortion
00:30:24.420 or around defund the police.
00:30:27.180 They can't wrap their head around the fact
00:30:29.060 that some people explicitly worship the devil.
00:30:34.940 They think, well, that's a silly superstition.
00:30:37.640 That's just a silly, stupid superstition.
00:30:40.820 You guys, you're all jokers, okay?
00:30:42.640 You people who worship the devil are jokers.
00:30:44.800 And you people who go to church are jokers.
00:30:47.520 And me, a bourgeois, secular liberal,
00:30:51.020 whose most important weekly ritual is going to brunch on Sunday
00:30:54.740 and maybe going to a yoga class.
00:30:56.480 I'm the reasonable one here.
00:30:58.240 I can't help but point out,
00:30:59.900 if you look at all of human history in every society,
00:31:03.540 everywhere on earth,
00:31:05.460 you see an acknowledgement of the devil
00:31:10.180 and an acknowledgement of,
00:31:14.760 if not the one true God,
00:31:17.040 at least intuitions of the one true God
00:31:18.960 and an acknowledgement of moral reality
00:31:20.980 and the idea that some things are better than other things.
00:31:24.040 So who's the mistaken one?
00:31:26.180 Who's the crazy superstitious one?
00:31:29.160 The people who are behaving
00:31:34.240 and perceiving the world in line with
00:31:37.200 how everyone has always done so
00:31:38.980 or the handful of modern secularists
00:31:42.140 who think it's all just bunk
00:31:43.460 and we're all just bags of meat and chemicals
00:31:46.760 and our only purpose is to get pleasure
00:31:49.080 and all those higher things.
00:31:52.220 They're just fanciful.
00:31:55.360 To quote Antonin Scalia
00:31:56.840 in an interview with a New York magazine,
00:31:59.960 Lib Journo, some years ago now,
00:32:02.180 she was mocking him for being religious.
00:32:03.580 And he said, you know,
00:32:05.240 yeah, I believe in God and heaven.
00:32:06.780 I even believe in hell and the devil.
00:32:08.620 Many more intelligent people
00:32:10.100 than you or me have believed in the devil.
00:32:14.060 On this point on good and evil,
00:32:15.920 horrible story came out last week.
00:32:19.360 I want to get to it though.
00:32:21.120 MS-13 is this gang
00:32:25.280 that people just associate with running drugs
00:32:28.400 and ferrying people across the border.
00:32:30.960 And we know they're bad
00:32:31.680 and they've got these face tattoos.
00:32:32.740 But I don't think people know how bad they are.
00:32:35.440 An MS-13 gangster
00:32:36.680 who was recently released from prison on parole,
00:32:40.040 of course,
00:32:41.320 was just charged for murdering an Uber Eats driver
00:32:43.800 in a case that police are calling demonic
00:32:46.740 in Holiday, Florida.
00:32:49.260 Oscar Solis, 30-year-old MS-13 gangster,
00:32:52.240 he was arrested on April 24th
00:32:54.780 for alleged late murdering
00:32:56.420 and dismembering 59-year-old Randall Cook,
00:32:58.620 who was a husband and a stepfather,
00:32:59.940 who was just delivering food to the gangster's home.
00:33:02.960 It was his last drop-off of the week.
00:33:05.920 And this guy,
00:33:07.780 this gangster,
00:33:08.980 decided that he was just going to murder
00:33:10.540 the Uber Eats driver,
00:33:11.620 just because.
00:33:13.900 And so we think,
00:33:15.340 in the modern secular world,
00:33:17.560 of MS-13,
00:33:18.500 oh, they're just a drug gang.
00:33:20.320 Oh, they run prostitution rings.
00:33:22.500 Yeah, they're just thugs and criminals for sure,
00:33:25.420 but that's it.
00:33:27.300 MS-13 was founded by Satanists,
00:33:30.660 by people who,
00:33:32.200 in their own conception of themselves,
00:33:34.520 served Satan and worshipped Satan.
00:33:37.400 MS-13 regularly engages
00:33:40.300 in satanic ritual and sacrifice.
00:33:43.240 MS-13 venerates Santa Muerte,
00:33:46.460 this demonic personification
00:33:47.500 of holy death,
00:33:50.120 saint death.
00:33:51.220 Nothing holy about it, of course.
00:33:55.140 I'm not trying to convince you,
00:33:57.660 well, I am trying to convince you
00:33:58.600 to go to church,
00:33:59.280 but that's not the reason
00:34:00.500 I bring up this story.
00:34:02.620 I'm not doing it
00:34:03.880 simply to tell you,
00:34:05.680 get your life in order
00:34:06.640 and recognize good and evil
00:34:09.840 in your own life
00:34:10.440 and stop pursuing vice
00:34:13.100 and start pursuing virtue
00:34:13.860 and all the rest of it.
00:34:14.500 The reason I bring up this story is
00:34:17.020 if you only look at this story
00:34:19.120 through the modern secular lens,
00:34:20.920 you miss the whole thing.
00:34:22.160 It doesn't make any sense.
00:34:23.760 The only way that a story like this
00:34:25.560 makes any sense
00:34:26.520 is if there is such a thing
00:34:28.300 as the demonic
00:34:29.160 and such a thing as the holy.
00:34:31.660 If there is spiritual warfare,
00:34:33.800 if the way that we now describe
00:34:36.420 as old and superstitious and crazy,
00:34:38.220 that our civilization has viewed reality
00:34:41.120 for its history,
00:34:42.640 which is that there is good and evil,
00:34:45.560 we're in this battle,
00:34:48.200 we're the church militant.
00:34:50.040 If you don't view it
00:34:52.520 through that lens,
00:34:53.520 you miss the whole story here.
00:34:55.620 Then this Uber Eats story
00:34:56.800 just becomes all local random crime.
00:34:58.940 This is why liberal politicians,
00:35:00.400 whenever there is a shooting
00:35:01.640 that is convenient
00:35:03.060 for them to talk about,
00:35:05.020 they'll say,
00:35:05.860 oh, it's senseless.
00:35:07.480 Oh, it's senseless.
00:35:10.420 Often these shootings
00:35:11.460 are not senseless.
00:35:12.880 Oh, the shootings
00:35:13.980 in downtown Chicago,
00:35:15.320 oh, they're so senseless.
00:35:17.440 No, there is a kind of a logic
00:35:19.280 to these shootings.
00:35:20.400 It's just that
00:35:21.260 the logic involves
00:35:23.780 aspects of moral reality
00:35:25.400 that the modern liberal secularists
00:35:27.540 can't acknowledge.
00:35:29.220 So what are we going to do about it?
00:35:30.240 There's great news out of Missouri.
00:35:31.660 A Missouri judge
00:35:32.780 has just appointed
00:35:34.360 a special prosecutor
00:35:35.540 to investigate
00:35:36.580 one of the George Soros-backed DAs
00:35:39.840 in St. Louis.
00:35:41.840 Soros,
00:35:42.560 most notably
00:35:43.540 among the liberal donors
00:35:44.960 because George Soros
00:35:46.660 is probably
00:35:47.260 the most prominent
00:35:48.060 funder of leftist causes
00:35:49.400 in the world today.
00:35:50.980 And he does it
00:35:51.560 through his Open Society Foundation
00:35:52.780 and he does it
00:35:53.580 through lots of different
00:35:54.480 tentacles
00:35:55.340 of his political power.
00:35:57.820 George Soros
00:35:58.680 has had these
00:35:59.520 district attorneys
00:36:00.440 and prosecutors
00:36:01.220 elected.
00:36:03.220 These races
00:36:03.760 are super easy to win
00:36:04.820 because people
00:36:05.380 don't put a lot
00:36:05.880 of money into them.
00:36:06.520 So if you put any money
00:36:07.540 into them at all,
00:36:08.140 you can often get
00:36:08.940 your guys installed.
00:36:10.020 And then the prosecutors
00:36:10.860 just don't prosecute
00:36:11.840 the crimes.
00:36:13.280 And the Satanists
00:36:13.960 in Boston cheer
00:36:14.900 because they want
00:36:15.500 to defund the police
00:36:16.260 and they don't want
00:36:16.860 crime to be punished.
00:36:18.140 They want crime to flourish
00:36:19.100 and they want civil order
00:36:20.300 to break down.
00:36:22.740 So the Soros-backed prosecutors,
00:36:25.440 they say,
00:36:25.760 yeah, we're not going to do that.
00:36:27.160 Well, what can we do?
00:36:28.040 These guys were elected, right?
00:36:29.300 Well, one Missouri judge
00:36:30.300 has announced
00:36:31.680 that he's going to appoint
00:36:32.260 a special prosecutor
00:36:33.300 to build a criminal
00:36:34.700 contempt case
00:36:35.540 against the St. Louis
00:36:37.860 prosecutor,
00:36:38.620 Kimberly M. Gardner,
00:36:40.260 who was bankrolled
00:36:41.040 by Soros
00:36:41.700 because this prosecutor,
00:36:44.700 Kimberly Gardner,
00:36:46.040 won't prosecute crime.
00:36:48.800 And as the judge said,
00:36:50.040 Judge Michael Noble,
00:36:51.820 the circuit attorney's office
00:36:53.040 appears to be
00:36:54.120 a rudderless ship of chaos.
00:36:57.160 Ms. Gardner
00:36:57.820 is a circuit attorney.
00:36:59.500 It is her duty
00:37:00.280 to manage the caseload
00:37:01.540 of each staff member.
00:37:02.800 Mr. Desilets,
00:37:04.020 who is one of the staff members,
00:37:05.220 has approximately
00:37:05.820 104 felony cases.
00:37:07.220 Any prudent practitioner
00:37:08.240 would expect
00:37:09.680 such a caseload
00:37:10.720 to create countless
00:37:11.380 irreconcilable conflicts.
00:37:12.900 It does not appear
00:37:13.380 she's made any reasonable efforts
00:37:14.680 to prevent the resulting chaos.
00:37:16.400 It appears that Ms. Gardner
00:37:17.820 has complete indifference
00:37:19.280 and conscious disregard
00:37:20.900 for the judicial process,
00:37:22.460 which is obviously the case.
00:37:24.980 So what do conservatives think
00:37:26.660 about wielding
00:37:28.240 this judicial power
00:37:30.740 to use a prosecutor
00:37:33.280 to go after
00:37:34.340 another prosecutor
00:37:35.520 who was elected,
00:37:37.080 but he was elected
00:37:38.040 with a ton of funding
00:37:39.100 of the libs
00:37:39.840 who have their power centers
00:37:40.940 in financiers
00:37:42.020 such as George Soros.
00:37:43.300 They get a lot of backing
00:37:44.400 from the media.
00:37:45.560 What do we think about
00:37:46.440 this wielding
00:37:47.120 of government power?
00:37:49.580 Hip, hip, hooray.
00:37:50.340 That's what I say.
00:37:51.120 I say this is great.
00:37:52.420 And the conservatives
00:37:53.880 who know what time it is,
00:37:56.420 the conservatives
00:37:57.160 who understand
00:37:57.760 how our Constitution works,
00:37:59.300 lowercase c,
00:38:00.620 the way that the government
00:38:01.520 actually functions today,
00:38:02.800 not Capital C Constitution,
00:38:04.760 not Schoolhouse Rock,
00:38:05.840 Bill up on Capitol Hill,
00:38:06.920 do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do.
00:38:08.520 No, the way the government
00:38:09.760 actually works.
00:38:11.100 We realize
00:38:11.740 that the only path forward
00:38:13.060 is not to just give
00:38:14.220 some other lecture
00:38:15.180 on the Federalist Papers.
00:38:16.720 That can be fine
00:38:17.760 and edifying for students,
00:38:18.800 but what we have to do
00:38:20.000 is crush
00:38:21.500 the libs power centers.
00:38:23.800 We need to wield
00:38:24.460 the state
00:38:24.920 to go after
00:38:25.560 their prosecutors
00:38:26.380 who don't
00:38:26.860 prosecute crime.
00:38:27.660 We need to defund
00:38:30.140 and dismantle
00:38:31.020 their media apparatus.
00:38:32.460 We need to tax
00:38:33.660 their university endowments.
00:38:35.260 We need to wield the state
00:38:37.000 against their corporations
00:38:38.120 when, as in the case
00:38:39.240 of Florida,
00:38:40.220 the corporations
00:38:41.280 like Disney
00:38:42.080 are trying to undermine
00:38:43.760 the will of the people
00:38:44.580 and their representatives
00:38:45.260 in Florida
00:38:45.820 to say that we don't want
00:38:46.980 to trans the kids.
00:38:47.880 Disney comes in and says,
00:38:48.740 ha-ha,
00:38:49.140 we're going to trans your kids
00:38:50.320 and you can't do anything
00:38:51.440 to stop us.
00:38:52.060 Ha-ha-ha.
00:38:53.120 I know that there's
00:38:54.160 a similarity
00:38:54.680 between the Pete Buttigieg voice.
00:38:56.320 Ha-ha.
00:38:56.560 Well, hey, guys.
00:38:57.180 Hey, everybody.
00:38:57.660 I'm Pete Buttigieg.
00:38:58.320 And the Mickey Mouse voice.
00:38:59.640 I don't know.
00:39:00.080 Is that a coincidence?
00:39:01.300 Is there some deeper meaning there?
00:39:02.820 I'm not so sure.
00:39:03.740 But all I know is
00:39:04.660 that when the CEO
00:39:05.520 of Disney comes in
00:39:06.300 and says,
00:39:06.700 that's right,
00:39:07.180 we're going to put your kid
00:39:07.900 on puberty blockers.
00:39:08.780 Ha-ha.
00:39:09.220 I don't want to hear
00:39:10.020 any lectures about how
00:39:11.160 the free market says
00:39:12.800 that we can never,
00:39:13.880 ever wield the state
00:39:15.760 and the collectivist
00:39:17.060 forces against Disney.
00:39:19.040 No.
00:39:19.440 Okay.
00:39:19.680 I've had enough of that.
00:39:21.320 Transing my kid,
00:39:22.140 that's too much.
00:39:22.740 All right.
00:39:22.860 We're not doing that.
00:39:24.520 There is nothing conservative
00:39:25.640 about allowing woke corporations
00:39:27.380 to destroy our country,
00:39:28.920 upend our social order,
00:39:29.940 and trans our kids.
00:39:30.980 We need to wield power
00:39:33.000 in a just way,
00:39:33.960 in a prudent way,
00:39:34.740 but we've got to do it
00:39:36.120 or the game is already lost.
00:39:38.740 My favorite comment on Friday
00:39:40.200 is from,
00:39:41.780 my name was taken,
00:39:42.760 lol.
00:39:43.260 It's a good name.
00:39:44.020 It says,
00:39:44.440 assisted suicide for toddlers.
00:39:45.980 No,
00:39:46.200 they basically just approved
00:39:47.200 post-birth abortion.
00:39:49.280 That's true.
00:39:49.660 We talked last week
00:39:50.560 about how the Netherlands
00:39:52.720 has just legalized
00:39:55.000 euthanasia,
00:39:57.500 which is assisted suicide
00:39:59.440 for toddlers
00:40:01.800 ages 1 through 12.
00:40:04.900 You might say,
00:40:05.400 hold on.
00:40:05.660 A three-year-old
00:40:07.660 cannot really consent
00:40:09.400 to anything.
00:40:10.840 Three-year-old can't go
00:40:11.840 buy a pack of cigarettes.
00:40:13.720 Three-year-old can't join
00:40:14.640 the military.
00:40:15.380 Three-year-old can't buy a beer.
00:40:17.820 Three-year-old can't consent
00:40:18.960 to sexual activity,
00:40:20.100 obviously.
00:40:21.000 And yet,
00:40:21.600 now increasingly,
00:40:22.520 we're seeing young people,
00:40:24.220 five, six, seven,
00:40:24.860 eight-year-olds,
00:40:25.320 can consent to
00:40:26.600 sexual mutilation procedures.
00:40:29.760 Hold on.
00:40:30.620 Five, six, seven-year-olds,
00:40:31.820 four, three, two,
00:40:32.500 one-year-olds
00:40:33.000 can consent to suicide?
00:40:34.520 No, that's just called murder.
00:40:37.300 That's called partial
00:40:37.980 birth abortions.
00:40:38.620 Another example where
00:40:39.460 it's a phrase that the
00:40:40.560 conservatives used
00:40:41.480 mockingly, ironically.
00:40:43.120 We say,
00:40:43.300 these liberals,
00:40:43.880 they love abortion so much,
00:40:44.840 they don't just want
00:40:45.360 third trimester abortions.
00:40:46.520 They want fourth and
00:40:47.280 fifth trimester abortions.
00:40:48.480 Well, now they've got it.
00:40:49.760 It's all a crazy,
00:40:51.180 wacky, bizarre
00:40:51.960 conspiracy theory
00:40:52.960 until the libs
00:40:53.860 firmly establish it
00:40:54.880 and then they say
00:40:55.720 it's too late
00:40:56.160 to do anything
00:40:56.840 about it.
00:40:58.900 Okay, getting on
00:40:59.480 to 2024.
00:41:02.440 Knives are out.
00:41:03.220 And the knives are out,
00:41:05.100 not primarily
00:41:06.080 for Donald Trump.
00:41:07.360 They're out
00:41:07.980 for Ron DeSantis.
00:41:10.500 Our friend Vivek Ramaswamy
00:41:12.040 was on Meet the Press
00:41:13.360 with Chuck Todd
00:41:15.000 and he did not spend
00:41:16.780 his time really
00:41:17.640 going after Trump.
00:41:18.820 He has gone after
00:41:19.740 Trump, by the way.
00:41:20.320 People are saying that
00:41:20.960 Vivek has never
00:41:21.740 attacked Trump.
00:41:22.240 That's not true.
00:41:22.700 He's going after Trump.
00:41:23.880 But he's reserving
00:41:25.000 most of his ire
00:41:25.840 for Governor DeSantis.
00:41:28.400 Here's where
00:41:29.040 Ron DeSantis
00:41:29.800 really lost it here.
00:41:30.960 He's gone on the
00:41:31.520 wrong path.
00:41:32.260 He claimed,
00:41:33.240 and this part
00:41:33.960 actually sounded good
00:41:34.740 to me,
00:41:35.500 Disney should have
00:41:36.040 never had crony
00:41:36.820 capitalist lobbying
00:41:38.220 related privileges
00:41:39.340 in the first place.
00:41:40.340 Here's the part
00:41:40.760 he doesn't mention.
00:41:41.800 One of those crony
00:41:42.780 capitalist privileges
00:41:43.860 was,
00:41:44.980 and I think the most
00:41:45.540 relevant one,
00:41:46.600 was codified into law
00:41:48.100 by none other than
00:41:48.960 Ron DeSantis
00:41:49.560 in 2021.
00:41:50.840 So Florida passed
00:41:51.920 this political
00:41:52.540 anti-discrimination
00:41:53.320 statute,
00:41:54.120 which I applauded
00:41:55.020 at the time,
00:41:55.800 said if you operate
00:41:56.560 internet companies,
00:41:57.360 this includes streaming
00:41:58.180 services like Disney does,
00:41:59.440 that you can't engage
00:42:00.740 in viewpoint discrimination.
00:42:02.560 Now here's the funny
00:42:03.200 dirty little secret
00:42:03.920 of that.
00:42:04.680 They wrote into
00:42:05.340 a last minute exception
00:42:06.420 into that law
00:42:07.340 for anyone who also
00:42:08.820 operates a theme park
00:42:10.080 more than 25 acres
00:42:11.800 in the state of Florida.
00:42:13.080 That's crony capitalism.
00:42:14.600 And so the irony
00:42:15.180 is Ron DeSantis,
00:42:16.120 who's now railing
00:42:16.980 against crony capitalism
00:42:18.120 and rolling that back,
00:42:19.240 was the one who actually
00:42:20.300 passed that into law
00:42:21.420 for the case of Disney.
00:42:23.020 So I think that undermines
00:42:24.040 the credibility
00:42:24.920 of his crusade.
00:42:26.200 I prefer to get to
00:42:26.920 root causes rather than
00:42:27.840 doing political stunts.
00:42:29.700 Okay, put aside
00:42:30.900 the DeSantis,
00:42:32.280 Disney policy of it all
00:42:34.640 for a second,
00:42:35.620 because it's a little unclear.
00:42:37.040 Did Disney outfox DeSantis
00:42:38.780 by holding two public meetings
00:42:40.760 before their board
00:42:41.920 voted on such and such
00:42:42.980 and so and so?
00:42:43.800 Did Disney get the last laugh?
00:42:45.340 Or has DeSantis
00:42:46.440 gotten the last laugh?
00:42:47.420 Because they've pointed
00:42:48.160 to some other older law
00:42:49.520 that Disney did not follow,
00:42:51.420 which means that actually
00:42:52.440 the Florida will be able
00:42:54.220 to wield control
00:42:54.960 over the Reedy Creek District,
00:42:56.320 which allowed Disney
00:42:57.340 previously self-governance?
00:42:59.600 I don't know.
00:43:00.360 I don't know.
00:43:00.800 The courts will work it out.
00:43:03.080 That is almost a side issue
00:43:04.860 at this point.
00:43:05.600 The most interesting part
00:43:07.280 of Vivek's appearance
00:43:09.000 and the appearance
00:43:10.900 of other presidential candidates
00:43:13.140 and the fact that they're all
00:43:14.340 going after DeSantis
00:43:15.200 signals to me
00:43:16.300 that they believe
00:43:20.040 Trump will be the nominee.
00:43:21.080 And so they're reserving
00:43:24.100 their ire and their fire
00:43:26.700 for DeSantis
00:43:27.780 as the number two guy
00:43:29.220 because they don't want
00:43:30.520 to go too hard
00:43:31.300 after Trump
00:43:32.020 because they think
00:43:33.760 that Trump is today
00:43:35.620 still the most likely nominee.
00:43:37.820 And I know that everybody
00:43:39.560 in the conservative media,
00:43:40.960 they are very bullish
00:43:42.720 on DeSantis
00:43:43.820 getting the nomination.
00:43:45.380 I think Ron DeSantis
00:43:46.300 is a phenomenal governor.
00:43:48.300 This is in no way
00:43:49.140 a criticism of Ron DeSantis,
00:43:51.040 but I'm just looking
00:43:51.920 at the numbers.
00:43:54.700 Trump has a huge lead
00:43:56.260 over Ron DeSantis
00:43:57.100 and Trump's numbers
00:43:59.360 are getting better
00:44:00.140 and Governor DeSantis' numbers
00:44:02.240 are getting worse.
00:44:03.360 Now I know Ron DeSantis
00:44:04.520 has not announced
00:44:05.280 that he's running
00:44:05.680 for president yet.
00:44:07.420 I think he's expected
00:44:08.560 to do so
00:44:09.260 over the next few weeks.
00:44:12.300 But
00:44:12.660 Ron DeSantis
00:44:15.560 needs to start
00:44:16.700 getting aggressive
00:44:17.440 if he wants
00:44:18.380 to get the nomination.
00:44:20.560 Because
00:44:21.000 what the
00:44:23.340 DeSantis camp
00:44:24.340 seems to believe now
00:44:25.260 is yeah,
00:44:25.760 it appears like
00:44:26.240 Trump is winning,
00:44:27.000 but that's an illusion.
00:44:29.000 Once this thing
00:44:29.680 really gets going,
00:44:30.560 DeSantis is going
00:44:31.180 to take off.
00:44:32.280 Well,
00:44:33.380 perception
00:44:33.960 can
00:44:35.680 collapse
00:44:37.440 into reality
00:44:38.520 in campaigns.
00:44:40.240 If every day
00:44:41.500 for the next month
00:44:43.020 Ron DeSantis
00:44:44.840 is perceived
00:44:45.600 as losing,
00:44:46.480 as losing ground,
00:44:47.420 and if every day
00:44:48.600 for the next month
00:44:49.240 Trump is perceived
00:44:50.280 as gaining ground
00:44:51.560 and solidifying
00:44:52.340 his hold
00:44:52.760 over the Republican
00:44:53.780 Party,
00:44:54.800 then that's going
00:44:56.320 to collapse
00:44:56.780 into a reality
00:44:57.740 of a much harder
00:44:59.180 campaign for Ron
00:45:00.080 DeSantis.
00:45:01.480 And presidential
00:45:02.480 candidates
00:45:02.960 are very
00:45:04.880 capable people
00:45:06.560 who have very
00:45:07.500 good guts
00:45:08.200 who can smell blood.
00:45:09.540 And if it feels
00:45:10.200 like Ron DeSantis
00:45:11.260 is vulnerable
00:45:12.800 in the campaign,
00:45:13.740 and he's the big
00:45:14.520 number two guy
00:45:15.060 that they've got
00:45:15.440 to get past
00:45:16.140 either to have
00:45:17.120 a shot at taking
00:45:17.940 on Donald Trump
00:45:18.800 or Trump gets
00:45:20.080 a nomination
00:45:20.500 and they have a shot
00:45:21.820 at being in the
00:45:22.300 administration,
00:45:23.220 they are going
00:45:24.200 to do that.
00:45:26.260 The proto-campaign
00:45:27.580 for DeSantis
00:45:28.780 is going to have
00:45:30.300 to get more aggressive
00:45:31.020 or they're going
00:45:31.560 to be inviting
00:45:32.240 more attacks
00:45:33.140 from the other
00:45:34.840 candidates.
00:45:37.020 You're seeing
00:45:37.640 these same
00:45:38.320 sorts of attacks
00:45:38.880 not just from
00:45:39.520 the outside
00:45:40.500 of the box
00:45:41.280 more right-wing
00:45:44.200 figures in the race
00:45:45.360 like Vivek.
00:45:47.140 You're seeing
00:45:47.720 it from the
00:45:48.080 squishes too
00:45:48.660 like Asa Hutchinson,
00:45:50.840 former governor
00:45:51.360 of Arkansas
00:45:51.840 who is also
00:45:52.540 running in 2024.
00:45:53.620 Who's he going
00:45:54.020 after?
00:45:54.320 Is he going
00:45:54.560 after Trump?
00:45:55.360 No.
00:45:55.860 He's going
00:45:56.220 after DeSantis.
00:45:58.000 I don't like
00:45:58.900 what Disney
00:45:59.440 said about
00:46:00.880 the legislation
00:46:01.720 that I would
00:46:02.340 have supported
00:46:02.900 in Florida,
00:46:03.780 but it's not
00:46:05.000 the role of
00:46:05.560 government
00:46:05.960 to punish
00:46:06.860 a business
00:46:07.500 when you
00:46:08.060 disagree
00:46:08.460 with what
00:46:09.080 they're saying
00:46:09.860 or a position
00:46:11.060 that they take.
00:46:12.020 If that was
00:46:12.840 the view
00:46:13.260 of a Republican,
00:46:14.380 then we're
00:46:14.700 going to be
00:46:15.080 in all kinds
00:46:15.680 of trouble
00:46:16.080 in our businesses
00:46:16.820 in blue states
00:46:18.300 if they start
00:46:19.020 punishing businesses
00:46:20.120 for taking
00:46:21.080 a more conservative
00:46:22.040 speech or position.
00:46:24.800 And so I don't
00:46:25.400 understand a conservative
00:46:26.640 punishing a business
00:46:28.080 that's the largest
00:46:28.760 employer in the state.
00:46:30.360 In Arkansas
00:46:30.940 and as governors,
00:46:32.340 we recruit industry,
00:46:33.500 we support our industry
00:46:34.960 because it provides
00:46:35.960 jobs.
00:46:36.600 And we're
00:46:37.740 not dictating
00:46:38.480 to them
00:46:39.020 what their speech
00:46:40.120 is.
00:46:40.920 To me,
00:46:41.320 that's a conservative
00:46:42.060 position and you
00:46:43.820 err when you go
00:46:44.500 otherwise.
00:46:46.680 Why would
00:46:48.000 a Republican
00:46:49.680 ever want
00:46:51.380 to speak out
00:46:52.260 against a business?
00:46:55.440 Because,
00:46:56.820 believe it or not,
00:46:59.400 some things
00:47:00.300 are more important
00:47:01.460 than money.
00:47:03.340 We used
00:47:04.300 to know that.
00:47:04.840 didn't conservatives
00:47:06.960 especially
00:47:07.560 used to know
00:47:08.260 that?
00:47:10.120 We forgot it
00:47:11.100 somewhere over
00:47:11.640 the last 30,
00:47:12.380 40 years.
00:47:14.220 This created
00:47:15.600 the crisis
00:47:16.140 in the Republican
00:47:16.820 Party
00:47:17.300 that finally
00:47:18.640 exploded
00:47:19.340 with the Trump
00:47:19.920 movement.
00:47:22.560 The Republicans
00:47:23.560 had always said,
00:47:25.060 we're the party
00:47:25.380 of family values,
00:47:26.200 we're the party
00:47:26.520 of tradition,
00:47:27.140 we're the party
00:47:27.580 of custom,
00:47:28.260 we're the party
00:47:28.780 of what is good
00:47:30.320 and right and just,
00:47:31.540 we're the party
00:47:32.100 of the Bible,
00:47:32.800 we're the party
00:47:33.420 of religion.
00:47:34.820 And also,
00:47:35.740 nothing is more
00:47:36.760 important than
00:47:37.960 GDP.
00:47:39.420 The free market
00:47:40.780 is the most
00:47:41.540 sacred creation
00:47:42.860 in,
00:47:43.900 it's not even
00:47:44.380 a creation,
00:47:44.960 oh, it predates
00:47:45.640 us, it's
00:47:46.280 pre-political.
00:47:48.120 The free market,
00:47:49.380 no one can ever
00:47:50.240 meddle with the
00:47:50.940 free market.
00:47:51.900 If a business
00:47:52.600 wants to do
00:47:53.380 anything that is
00:47:54.460 their right,
00:47:55.500 including transing
00:47:56.500 our kids.
00:47:57.720 And how dare you
00:47:58.740 criticize the
00:47:59.540 business for doing
00:48:00.520 that?
00:48:01.920 No.
00:48:03.380 This was a battle
00:48:04.280 between the
00:48:06.840 Bible and
00:48:09.260 Ayn Rand.
00:48:10.680 This is a battle,
00:48:12.260 not just the
00:48:12.780 Bible, but the
00:48:13.940 whole civilization
00:48:14.820 that the Bible
00:48:16.120 outlined and
00:48:20.220 that Christianity
00:48:21.720 animated.
00:48:22.880 That civilization
00:48:24.100 versus modernity.
00:48:26.540 once Christendom
00:48:29.780 cracked up,
00:48:30.760 and you saw
00:48:31.080 the geographic
00:48:31.640 crack up of
00:48:32.740 Christendom
00:48:33.260 beginning five
00:48:34.480 centuries ago,
00:48:35.480 you saw the
00:48:36.900 intellectual crack
00:48:39.040 up of Christendom,
00:48:40.420 well, I guess
00:48:40.900 right around the
00:48:41.380 same time.
00:48:42.620 Then you had all
00:48:43.100 these new kind
00:48:43.780 of crazy strains,
00:48:45.340 perverse strains
00:48:46.080 that started to
00:48:46.640 come out of that.
00:48:48.240 One of them
00:48:48.980 was this idea
00:48:49.740 that all that
00:48:50.360 matters is the
00:48:50.920 material world,
00:48:52.780 and that we're
00:48:53.320 material beings.
00:48:55.140 And if that is
00:48:56.360 true, then really
00:48:57.100 all that matters
00:48:57.760 is money.
00:48:59.700 And there was
00:49:00.360 this bizarre
00:49:01.240 schizophrenia on
00:49:02.300 the right,
00:49:03.280 which is the
00:49:03.880 Republican Party
00:49:04.440 would talk about
00:49:04.820 how we need
00:49:05.200 tradition, and we
00:49:06.400 need to defend
00:49:06.920 our way of life,
00:49:07.680 and also we
00:49:08.180 need creative
00:49:08.760 destruction, and
00:49:09.580 nothing matters
00:49:10.120 more than GDP,
00:49:11.080 and that didn't
00:49:11.880 make sense.
00:49:12.560 And Asa Hutchinson
00:49:13.480 is articulating
00:49:14.800 that view, that
00:49:16.580 view that's been
00:49:17.620 popular for 30,
00:49:18.380 40 years now.
00:49:20.800 And I think
00:49:21.580 that view has
00:49:22.580 collapsed.
00:49:23.420 I don't think
00:49:24.280 there's a ton
00:49:24.960 of room for
00:49:26.180 that.
00:49:26.340 So if DeSantis
00:49:27.480 is getting
00:49:27.900 knocked for
00:49:28.360 opposing that
00:49:28.920 view, DeSantis
00:49:31.180 should probably
00:49:31.560 make a campaign
00:49:32.240 commercial out
00:49:32.800 of that
00:49:33.000 criticism.
00:49:33.840 Okay, it's
00:49:34.280 Music Monday,
00:49:34.960 baby.
00:49:36.160 The rest of
00:49:36.880 the show
00:49:37.140 continues now.

00:49:38.300 want to miss it.
