The Michael Knowles Show - Ep. 1258 - Gaystapo Month Of Pride Kicks Off

00:00:00.000 Some sad news to report for BLM fans. Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrice Cullors

00:00:06.300 has been released from her Warner Brothers deal, meaning that she will no longer produce

00:00:12.620 any BLM-focused, scripted or non-scripted content. Now, in fairness to Warner Brothers,

00:00:21.880 Patrice Cullors never produced any content whatsoever during the term of her deal.

00:00:28.320 She just got a lot of money and didn't make anything. But in fairness to Cullors,

00:00:36.160 no one ever really expected her to make anything in the first place.

00:00:41.360 Patrice Cullors has never created anything in her whole life. BLM did not exist to create things.

00:00:48.880 BLM existed to destroy and to extort money from corporations and to enrich the activists who ran 1.00

00:00:56.200 it so that they could buy large mansions. BLM. Patrice Cullors' Hollywood development deal

00:01:02.200 was just one of many payoffs that she and the BLM leaders received from industries all around the

00:01:09.400 country. And everyone got what they wanted. Everyone. Don't feel sorry for Warner Brothers.

00:01:14.960 Cullors made money. The corporations signaled their fealty to the left. And the liberals broadly gained

00:01:20.880 more power. And now, on to the next scam. I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:01:33.300 It's the first day of pride. It's the first day of the most holy month of the liturgical year,

00:01:40.260 according to liberals. Pride month. Every industry is going gay for pride, including the abortion 0.84

00:01:48.180 industry. Planned Parenthood has just come out with its own pride campaign to point out that abortion

00:01:55.560 is not just for women. We'll get to that in just a little bit. First, though, we have some breaking 0.90

00:02:00.200 news. And the breaking news actually is coming from inside the house. The breaking news is coming

00:02:06.140 from here at Daily Wire. Jeremy Boring, the god king of this joint, has just released news on Twitter

00:02:13.720 that Twitter has canceled a deal to premiere What is a Woman for free on the platform. And the reason

00:02:23.020 they've canceled the deal is because of two instances in What is a Woman, this movie that was

00:02:28.780 released one year ago today, I think, two instances of misgendering. Misgendering, of course, means

00:02:36.040 misgendering. Misgendering is when you call a man he and a woman she, instead of calling a man she

00:02:43.160 and a woman he. Not surprising in our broader culture. It is somewhat surprising on Twitter.

00:02:50.760 The whole point of the Elon Musk acquisition of Twitter, at least from the public's perspective,

00:02:55.380 is that we were finally going to have free speech. And we weren't going to let these wokey leftists

00:02:59.700 come in here and tell us we have to call boys, girls, and girls, boys. We're going to let it kick us off 0.69

00:03:04.520 of the platform for stating basic truths. And now, Twitter is canceling our premiere of What is a

00:03:12.140 Woman. The idea was that as the rest of the social media companies are really clamping down on,

00:03:18.780 I won't even call it conservative speech, just clamping down on reality, Twitter was going to give

00:03:23.900 us the opportunity to speak freely. That's why we just announced in recent days that we're going to

00:03:28.660 bring the shows, including my show, to Twitter now. We're going to really start using this platform.

00:03:35.280 And we thought, what better way to do it? Tucker announced that he was going to bring his show to

00:03:38.660 Twitter. Okay, this is great. And we're going to allow everybody, the whole public, to watch What

00:03:43.860 is a Woman for free on the platform on this day, on this anniversary. So, well, I'll just read from

00:03:50.540 Jeremy's thread. I don't want to misrepresent what happened here. So, we're going to give it away for

00:03:55.700 24 hours. That was the plan. And we were talking to Twitter. Twitter responded with enthusiasm,

00:04:02.560 offered us the opportunity to buy a package to host the movie on a dedicated event page to promote

00:04:08.400 the event to every Twitter user for the first 10 hours. Okay, we here at Daily Wire accepted that

00:04:13.660 agreement. We signed the agreement. Twitter then said, okay, well, we just want to see the movie,

00:04:18.680 so we're better prepared to help with this event. They watched the movie, and then they killed the

00:04:25.880 deal. They said that not only could Twitter no longer help us to host this movie for free for

00:04:34.020 everybody, but they were actively going to suppress the movie. They said they were going to limit the

00:04:39.900 reach of the movie now for hateful conduct. And they specifically cited as an example of this hateful

00:04:45.920 conduct misgendering. So, at that point, we at the Daily Wire came back and said, well, hold on a

00:04:52.560 second. You've come out and said that you're no longer going to make misgendering this suppressible

00:04:59.000 offense. You're no longer going to censor misgendering, which is just proper gendering.

00:05:04.260 Remember, you took that out of your community guidelines. And then Twitter came out and said,

00:05:10.440 well, yeah, okay, we removed the misgendering prohibition from the policy. But that's just

00:05:16.780 because we at Twitter didn't want to be that specific. But misgendering, so contradicting

00:05:22.480 transgender ideology is still considered abuse and harassment by Twitter. And then Twitter,

00:05:30.820 you want to hear the audacity of these guys. Twitter came out and said, well, if you edit the movie,

00:05:36.200 if you edit one of the biggest documentaries ever, one of the most important films of last year,

00:05:40.800 if you edit it and you don't call men him and women her, then maybe we'll allow you to host this

00:05:49.560 event with us on Twitter. So we said, no, we're not doing that. We're not editing. What the hell is

00:05:54.700 the point of the purchase of Twitter if we're going to do that? I'll put it on any of the other social

00:05:58.460 media sites who openly say they're going to suppress me, who don't pretend to be bastions of free

00:06:02.520 speech. And then they said, okay, well, you have the right to speak, but basically we're going to

00:06:09.500 make sure that no one hears you. Which Jeremy points out is like saying, hey, you've got the

00:06:14.280 right to vote, but you don't have any right for your vote to be counted. Which I suppose we've

00:06:21.120 seen some examples of that in recent years. So now I don't know exactly where this stands. I mean,

00:06:26.740 we're not going to edit the movie. We're not going to back down. We're going to put the shows on

00:06:32.060 Twitter. We'll see what they do about that. And we're going to host the movie. So tune in tonight.

00:06:36.980 We're going to be putting this movie up at 8 p.m. Eastern. We'll see if they want to limit us for

00:06:43.300 hate speech because we call boys, boys and girls, girls. Okay. I mean, that's fine. It's hard for me

00:06:48.840 to believe that Elon is aware of this. I would like to believe that this is just getting caught up in the

00:06:55.940 middle management holdover apparatchik libs at Twitter who don't want a basic message about

00:07:01.940 truth and nature and reality to get out. I hope Elon comes in and intervenes here. I hope this

00:07:08.200 hasn't just been a big show, a big performance, but actually the libs are still going to censor

00:07:16.300 conservatives. I hope it hasn't all been a lie. But anyway, we're going to put the movie up tonight.

00:07:20.720 We're going to be on Twitter. If they suppress us, they suppress us. Okay,

00:07:24.020 we'll figure something else out. We're not going to lie about nature. We want to restore some balance

00:08:37.180 What a way to start Pride Month. Wow. I think the libs are focusing especially on the most

00:08:44.560 conservative or open to conservative kind of platforms and industries in particular because

00:08:54.080 they know they've already got the ones that have gone far left. So there are some places Twitter

00:08:59.260 now says, okay, we're going to be open to conservatives. I think the libs are going to

00:09:01.840 target that. Even I think about sports. The only sport I like is Major League Baseball.

00:09:07.040 Well, I don't even follow it in recent years. I tried to cancel my MLB TV subscription.

00:09:12.340 I just don't really know how to do it, so I think I still subscribe. But after they embraced BLM, 0.89

00:09:17.060 I said, okay, I'm done with MLB. I'm not watching baseball this year. And that was some years ago

00:09:21.040 now. But baseball remains pretty conservative. It's America's pastime. It's a complicated traditional

00:09:28.100 sport. It's one that still remains a favorite of that most derided, hated group in society.

00:09:38.800 Straight white males, we still sort of like baseball. It's a sport that still has manly,

00:09:45.360 normal guys of all backgrounds playing it. And so the libs are really focusing on that. And you saw

00:09:51.180 this with the Toronto Blue Jays. You saw this with Anthony Bass, who came out and he made a post that

00:09:57.460 was critical of pride. And he felt the weight of the liberal establishment on him. And I'm sorry

00:10:03.780 to say he just came out and apologized. I recognized yesterday, I made a post that was hurtful to the

00:10:10.440 pride community, which includes friends of mine and close family members of mine.

00:10:15.000 The pride community.

00:10:15.560 And I am truly sorry for that. I just spoke with my teammates and shared with them my actions yesterday.

00:10:22.120 And I apologize with them. And as of right now, I'm using the Blue Jays' resources to better educate

00:10:27.540 myself, to make better decisions moving forward. The ballpark is for everybody. We include all fans

00:10:33.680 at the ballpark, and we want to welcome everybody. That's all I have to say. Thank you.

00:10:40.000 Pathetic. What the hell is the pride community? When did we start using that phrase, the pride community? 1.00

00:10:45.400 We're not even referring now to guys who are a little light in the loafers or lesbians or any

00:10:49.940 of that. No, it's the pride community. I've said it before. I'll say it again. I'm from New York. I

00:10:54.800 lived in LA for a long time. I'm a graduate of the gayest university in the history of the world.

00:10:59.620 A disproportionate number of my friends and loved ones have some divergent, eccentric, sexual

00:11:07.200 identities. Okay? I don't think any of them, even the ones who are engaging in Liberace-like behavior,

00:11:17.300 I don't think any of them would ever describe themselves as members of the pride community.

00:11:22.540 I don't think they would take that identity on themselves. Pride is the deadliest of the seven

00:11:28.600 deadly sins. Pride goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. Pride, this rainbow

00:11:36.260 coalition is a denial of reality. It's extraordinarily corrosive to society. It's offensive to all people

00:11:48.100 of decency. The vast majority of Americans, regardless of their sexual desires or eccentricities,

00:11:56.960 don't want to be inundated with three-month-old rainbow onesies when they walk into Target.

00:12:02.620 And yet, a relatively manly, normal guy playing America's favorite pastime, albeit up in America's

00:12:10.240 top hat up there in Canada, even those guys now have to bend the knee. For what? For what, man?

00:12:18.600 This reaction from Anthony Bass here, it makes me check in on myself. It makes me check in. I don't mean

00:12:30.480 just to castigate this guy, but it reminds me, before the passion of our Lord, St. Peter, spokesman

00:12:39.020 of the apostles, first among the apostles, he says, oh, I would never deny you, Lord. And his Lord,

00:12:46.740 guy who he knows is God the Son, who he has seen transfigured on a mountain, he says, oh, Peter,

00:12:53.200 you're going to deny me three times before the cock crows. And Peter says, no, I wouldn't. I would

00:12:56.400 never do that. What are you talking about? That's crazy. I would never do that thing. And then what

00:13:00.180 happens? The minute the pressure gets hot, even Peter denies him. For what? What was the post that

00:13:07.380 this guy, Anthony, put out? This is the post for Pride Month he puts out. Here's the reason,

00:13:12.940 biblically, why I believe Christians ought to be boycotting Target and Bud Light and any other 1.00

00:13:17.640 corporation that's pushing the things they're pushing. I think a lot of people make this into a

00:13:21.780 political issue. Or they say, oh, what's the big deal? Is it really going to make that big of a

00:13:26.360 difference if I'm shopping there or not shopping there? Here's what the Bible says. It tells us

00:13:30.800 what to do as Christians in Ephesians chapter 5. It says this, take no part in the unfruitful works 0.98

00:13:37.180 of darkness, but instead expose them, for it is shameful to even talk of the things that they do

00:13:43.300 in secret. So what does that mean to take no part? Well, what's Target do? It's a business.

00:13:47.980 They make money. They sell things. And to take part in that is to take part in that God of Mammon 0.94

00:13:54.060 that they're serving and to take part in the darkness that they're purveying and getting out

00:13:58.660 to the world and shoving into children's faces. And to take part in that is to give them your money.

00:14:04.400 And I believe the Bible gives us radical precedent to say, no, we are running from that. And to instead

00:14:10.960 expose those things. To shout it to all the people that have ears to hear that this is

00:14:17.920 evil, this is demonic. We won't stand for it. We're not going to go to the stores anymore and

00:14:23.180 we're not going to give them our money. We're going to let our voice be heard so that people

00:14:28.360 can see the light and so that people can be pulled out of the darkness. Unless Blue Jay's management

00:14:34.740 calls me and tells me to apologize. In which case, never mind, forget I posted it. What's amazing about

00:14:39.640 that post is it's not just some vague kind of hint that he doesn't like the Pride Month displays.

00:14:47.260 This is pretty clear. This is pretty intense stuff. This guy, this Blue Jay, saw this post and said,

00:14:53.800 oh, that speaks to me. And I'm a Christian and I believe in this. And so I'm going to post it out

00:14:58.700 there. I'm really not disparaging this guy. Even St. Peter denied our Lord three times before the

00:15:06.460 cock crew. But as a reminder for all of us, the pressure is going to be very, very intense.

00:15:12.520 You're going to see it at your job. You're going to see it at school. You're going to see it with

00:15:15.680 your friends. You're going to see it in your neighborhood. You're going to see it at your

00:15:17.720 local coffee shop. It's going to be everywhere. We should all pray that we can stand firm when that

00:15:24.200 pressure comes down because this is a very, very intense campaign and we're only on day one of it.

00:15:30.180 I know we've just had pre-Pride Month. You've seen the rainbows for a while now. In the same way

00:15:34.700 that shops start marketing Valentine's Day starting in December these days, you've been

00:15:39.980 seeing this for a while. You better pray that you can stand firm here because this is overtaking the

00:15:47.660 culture. You've seen this play out even in the way people are thinking about themselves.

00:15:54.840 An underreported trend that's been going on for almost 20 years now. Google searches about

00:16:02.940 sexual orientation and gender identity have spiked in the last 20 years, last 19 years.

00:16:12.240 Those searches have gone up by 1,300% since 2004 according to an analysis from the Cultural

00:16:19.360 Currents Institute. These questions include things like, am I gay? Am I lesbian? Am I trans?

00:16:25.820 Including also the word non-binary in some of the even newer terms.

00:16:30.100 This seems to pose a problem for the Pride ideology because with the question, am I gay? Am I

00:16:37.480 lesbian? Am I trans? Am I this? Am I that? Isn't that something you're supposed to know?

00:16:42.900 Don't the Pride people tell us that that's something that you know intrinsically from the moment that

00:16:48.720 you're not just a teenager, not just a child, from the moment you're two years old? Oh, my little

00:16:53.900 Johnny, he picked up a Barbie doll once. That's how we knew that he knew deep down that he was really

00:16:59.240 a girl. So then why are some people confused by this? Why are some people confused? Am I lesbian?

00:17:05.060 Am I gay? Am I that? The first time I put on Warby Parker glasses and I had a blazer on, I looked

00:17:09.900 in the mirror, I said, am I a lesbian? Am I? I don't, I've seen a representation of this on a liberal

00:17:14.640 cable news channel. Am I? No, I didn't wonder that. I know that I'm, I know that I'm not those things.

00:17:20.020 But it raises this question. Is there a social contagion aspect to the Pride ideology and the

00:17:28.480 various sexual identities that go along with it? Right now, more than one in five Zoomers identify

00:17:35.860 as LGBTQ+. This is a bit of a spike from the historical norm of about 1% of people who would

00:17:43.660 identify with one of these sexual identities. How'd that happen? Few options. Either there's

00:17:51.120 something in the water turning the frickin' Zoomers gay, Alex Jones totally vindicated, or 0.99

00:17:56.000 people just naturally are largely gay. We don't know what the top on that is. What is it, 50%? 50% 1.00

00:18:03.440 of people are secretly gay or trans or whatever any of the other LMNOP letters are. And they just 0.97

00:18:09.860 didn't know it. They just discovered it. Or it's a social contagion. Or on that third point,

00:18:18.420 sex and beyond sex, identity generally, is a complex concept that derives in part from nature

00:18:26.300 and in part from nurture and in part from reason and in part from the enactment of the will in

00:18:30.980 accordance with reason or against reason. That it's a little bit more complex than the ideologues

00:18:36.840 would have us believe. And the more that one goes down this sort of rabbit hole, the more identities

00:18:45.360 spring up. That's why they add 10 genders, it seems, every single week now. It's because the more 0.99

00:18:51.420 that one focuses on fantasies or aberrant desires or novel identities, the more they seem to appear.

00:19:01.700 What does that even mean? What does it mean to be lesbian or trans or gay or any of these things?

00:19:09.980 It would seem that as these searches are exploding and people are saying, in fact,

00:19:14.840 we've talked about it on this show, we've interviewed people about this, we've played

00:19:18.000 videos of people who say, oh, I wasn't trans, but then I watched this weird kind of pornography and

00:19:23.180 then I became trans. Some of the most prominent trans voices have said this about themselves.

00:19:28.860 I think it was Cynthia Nixon, who's an actress who ran for office. She said, I wasn't a lesbian. I 0.83

00:19:36.720 just sort of became a lesbian. I adopted that identity later on. Well, that would undercut the 0.99

00:19:40.960 born this way argument. But it doesn't really matter what the argument is. It doesn't matter

00:19:48.060 what the justification is. You'll notice the libs always change the arguments and the justification.

00:19:53.920 Some people are born this way. No, actually, you're not born anyway. Not only is your sexual desire not

00:19:58.700 immutable, but not even your sex is immutable. And no, transgender people, their bodies are that of

00:20:04.360 a man, but their souls are that of a woman. No, actually, forget about the soul. That's not real. 0.88

00:20:09.060 Their brains are the brains of a woman, even though your brain's part of your body. But hey, 1.00

00:20:12.360 never mind. Forget about the explanation. Forget about reason. Forget about argumentation.

00:20:16.460 The conclusion is always the same. Don't do normal stuff. Do aberrant stuff.

00:20:24.180 You're going to see this with the pride campaign from Planned Parenthood. The arguments for abortion, 0.92

00:20:30.800 they always change. They often contradict. Abortion is a necessary evil. It should be safe, 1.00

00:20:35.440 legal, and rare. No, abortion is a good thing. No, abortion is morally insignificant. No,

00:20:39.020 it's that whatever the argument, though, the conclusion is always the same. Kill your baby. 1.00

00:20:43.940 It's not just about the LGBT stuff. That's prominent now because we've entered into the rainbow month. 1.00

00:20:50.380 But it's true of all of the left-wing liberal agenda, all of their political goals.

00:20:57.400 They don't care about the arguments. Argument, reasoning, be damned. They're going to get what 0.91

00:21:02.360 they want. Not through reason, not through facts, not through logic, through sheer tyranny of will.

00:21:09.360 Now, when you want to exercise your will in accordance with reason, in a way that will allow

00:21:15.340 you to flourish and your friends to flourish, let's say you're hosting a barbecue, you got to check out

00:21:19.760 Cinch. Right now, go to cinch.com. Use promo code Knowles. You picture that perfect summer night.

00:21:24.680 You imagine the warm breeze on your face as you lounge in your favorite chair outside. The grill is

00:23:22.100 Spicer, former White House press secretary. If you haven't seen it already, here's a spicy little

00:23:27.480 teaser. It's not. We're going to have some words with Mr. Davies. It's not about the size of the crowd.

00:23:34.480 It's the angle you photograph it from.

00:23:50.380 There is more in the works for Yes or No coming soon. I wish I could tell you what is in the works

00:23:58.600 for it. I wish I could affirm what some of the conspiracy theorists are saying about it. But

00:24:05.380 until that time, seize your opportunity. Well, you can go to dailywire.com slash shop today.

00:24:14.680 Virginia Department of Health is celebrating the beginning of Pride Month by promoting an

00:24:19.700 organization called Queer Kid Stuff. You couldn't make this up. You couldn't write this in a Hollywood

00:24:27.340 script about the villainous government department that's trying to queer all the kids. You'd say, 0.98

00:24:33.520 okay, we're going to call the program Queer Kid Stuff. Oh, no, that's a little too on the nose.

00:24:37.060 Come on, go back, make it more subtle. Well, you can't. That's the reality of it.

00:24:41.060 The Virginia Department of Health is promoting an online chat service marketed to minors,

00:24:46.980 to teenagers who identify as LGBTQ+. What do they say? Queer Kid Stuff, 1.00

00:24:52.280 Kid is right there in the name, is an LGBTQ+, and social justice website for kids and families.

00:24:59.060 The site includes links to helpful resources, videos, and more, according to the Virginia

00:25:04.020 Department of Health. It's not called queer family stuff. It's not being marketed to parents.

00:25:08.720 It's being marketed to little kids. And I don't just want to get on my high horse and moralize and

00:25:16.320 scold everybody and simply point out how evil this is and the sort of evil that these government

00:25:21.200 apparatchiks are doing. Because you've got to see it from their perspective. It's very helpful to see

00:25:26.660 things from the perspective of your opponents and enemies sometimes. From their perspective,

00:25:31.580 this is a really good thing. Because it's good to be trans. It's good to be LGBT, LMNOP. It's a really

00:25:39.780 good thing. According to them, whether it's innate and immutable, whether it's just an identity that you

00:25:48.840 develop over time, whatever it is, this is the good identity. This is the nice, happy one with the

00:25:52.840 rainbow. The other identities, getting married, having children, a chicken in every pot, two cars

00:25:58.020 in every garage, that's bad. That's repressive. That's, oh, the wives will hate that, and the 1.00

00:26:03.260 children will grow up with pathologies, and the men are going to be awful patriarch, domineering

00:26:07.620 paterfamilias. It's just bad. Oh, that's like 1950s stuff. In 1950, that was bad. So we've got to

00:26:13.440 stop people from doing that. We've got to break up, redefine, abolish our conception of what family

00:26:19.840 is for this new, wonderful, beautiful rainbow thing. It's good. And these poor kids, they grow

00:26:26.620 up in these stifled, awful, conservative, traditional, patriarchal environments. They're

00:26:30.760 secretly, deep down, their true selves are LGBT. And we, the valiant heroes at the Virginia Department

00:26:37.180 of Health, we've got to break through the oppressive, evil structures of the family and the political

00:26:42.000 order and all of tradition to help these sweet little rainbow children break free from those 1.00

00:26:46.660 shackles and that oppression. That's what they think. They might not be able to articulate it

00:26:52.020 that clearly, but that is what is motivating a lot of their behavior. They think they're the good guys.

00:26:57.800 That's their vision of the good. And what do the conservatives say in response to that?

00:27:04.140 Nothing, pretty much. What do conservatives say in response to that? We say,

00:27:07.460 hey, LGBT is great. We love that. But just don't trans the kids for some reason. Even though it's 1.00

00:27:16.580 all great. It's all really good. We're fun. Not that there's anything wrong with that. We're so happy

00:27:19.440 about that. But just don't. But for some reason, it's bad when you do the T part to a 17-year-old.

00:27:25.220 You got to wait until he, well, okay, maybe a seven-year-old. When they turn eight, then you can

00:27:28.820 teach it to them in schools. But not, but that part's bad. We need, or the ones who are a little more

00:27:34.240 serious about it. They'll say, we need to break the T off from the LGB. LGB without the T.

00:27:42.060 I get it. I know. You want to be a nice guy. You've got a gay cousin, and you don't want to 1.00

00:27:46.940 offend your gay cousin, even though your gay cousin might very well actually agree with you and the 0.96

00:27:51.540 conservatives on this point. But you're afraid of being offensive. You want to be a nice guy. Okay. 0.92

00:27:55.760 You can't break the T away from the LGB because they both derive from the same false anthropology.

00:28:00.860 And that false anthropology actually also is incorporated into feminism. The false 1.00

00:28:06.000 anthropology is that men and women are interchangeable. I've said it before. I won't

00:28:09.520 belabor the point. The premise of LGBTQIA, even the A part, even the asexual part, is that there is no 0.89

00:28:20.080 norm of sexual behavior and identity that we ought to encourage other than don't do anything that's

00:28:28.820 normal, other than don't follow the tradition. Other than that, though, there's no norm that

00:28:34.040 we're supposed to follow. The premise of LGBTQIA, including the A, including the asexual, including

00:28:41.840 all of them, is that men and women aren't real, natural, distinct, complementary categories.

00:28:47.060 They're just interchangeable. They don't really mean anything at all. Men and women, there's no real

00:28:51.140 difference. Maybe they look a little bit different, but these days they don't even look all that much

00:28:54.100 different. And from that premise, you have to redefine marriage. Because if you believe that

00:29:04.860 men and women are pretty much interchangeable, then two men is the same thing as two women is 0.86

00:29:09.920 the same thing as a man and a woman in holy matrimony. And if that's true, then it's not a

00:29:15.480 far leap to say, okay, well, if men and women are basically interchangeable, they're pretty much the same,

00:29:18.440 then, yeah, men can become a woman, of course. You can't break this apart. It is a kind of an 0.90

00:29:27.600 internally consistent ideology, albeit an illogical one. And then especially, if you're going to say,

00:29:33.160 okay, this is all good, men and women are interchangeable. Men secretly can be women

00:29:36.860 born in the wrong body. And there's no standard of sexual identity or behavior. And we can't know

00:29:42.180 even what we really are, what our identity is. Man is body and soul. Our sex, our gender derives

00:29:49.200 from our body, so we can actually know it from our body. But it's bigger than just our body. Women

00:29:53.000 are not just X chromosomes in a uterus, but they're at least X chromosomes in a uterus. 0.99

00:29:57.460 If you throw all that out, then you get to this really pathetic part, which is, okay, 0.87

00:30:01.700 well, just don't do it to the kids. Why not? Why not? If it's good and it's true, 0.96

00:30:06.620 then of course we should allow the kids to engage in that. That totally gives the libs, 1.00

00:30:12.240 the pride people, the upper hand. Then that makes the Virginia Department of Health look good.

00:30:17.380 Ironically, at least to some, the only way that you can make a clear argument that will be in any

00:30:23.940 way respectable, that will suggest that you're a serious person who is charitable, who doesn't

00:30:28.780 hate anybody, who loves everybody, but who just wants to say the truth in love, is if you say,

00:30:33.900 no, the whole rainbow coalition has just got it a little bit wrong. And people get things wrong,

00:30:39.940 they're not evil people necessarily, but it's just not true, okay? We've got to be clear in our

00:30:49.420 messaging and in our campaign. Now moving on, there'll be plenty to say about the rainbow month

00:30:54.540 the rest of this month. Moving on to other campaigns. Ron DeSantis is continuing on the

00:31:00.120 campaign trail. He has honed in on one argument that's really strong, which is Trump gave the

00:31:05.460 country over to Fauci. I didn't do that. Trump then disputes DeSantis' handling of COVID, says,

00:31:11.560 actually, you did shut your state down for a little while, but so you weren't perfect about it. But

00:31:15.500 it's true, DeSantis did open up Florida before a lot of other places did. And DeSantis has a great

00:31:20.780 answer to Trump, which is, hey, if I was such a bad governor, especially during COVID,

00:31:24.340 why did you move your whole family down to Florida during my governorship?

00:31:29.540 So you talked about changing your tone a little bit with former President Trump. I don't believe

00:31:34.020 you mentioned him here by name tonight, but does this mean you're going to be a bit more

00:31:37.540 aggressive with campaigning against him?

00:31:40.740 So look, I'm going to respond to attacks. I mean, if you say Cuomo did a better job with COVID

00:31:49.660 than Florida did, first of all, that's not what he used to say. This is like new,

00:31:53.240 like six months ago, he would have never said that, right? He used to say how great Florida was.

00:31:57.880 Hell, his whole family moved to Florida under my governorship. Are you kidding me?

00:32:02.580 That's a good line. Now, of course, Trump has had a presence in Florida for a long time. He

00:32:07.780 obviously bought the Mar-a-Lago Club a long time ago. It was the winter White House from the beginning

00:32:11.780 of Trump's presidency. But it's a good line. He spent a lot more time in Florida, and he moved a lot of

00:32:17.100 his family and interests down to Florida for a whole host of reasons, saving money on taxes,

00:32:21.800 better business climate. I assume part of it because the state was opened up in ways that,

00:32:27.340 say, New York was not more amenable to Trump and his way of life. That's all true. I like that.

00:32:33.760 That's a good line from DeSantis. My only criticism of that press conference there was not anything

00:32:39.960 DeSantis said, but it's what was on his little placard right up front. On that placard, it says,

00:32:47.440 text FREEDOM to 512-345. I like freedom. Big fan of freedom. But freedom is one of these words

00:32:58.800 that in recent years has been redefined down to nothing. Freedom can mean anything to anyone

00:33:05.300 in our modern world. The libs think that they're pursuing freedom. The communists think they're

00:33:10.120 pursuing freedom. The libertarians think they're pursuing freedom. The traditionalists think they're

00:33:14.160 everyone. Everyone thinks he's for freedom. Freedom is a very abstract concept. Traditionally

00:33:20.180 understood freedom is the right to do what we ought to do. Freedom did not mean doing whatever

00:33:23.760 you want whenever you want to do it. It's not what our founding fathers thought about it. It's not what

00:33:26.640 any serious thinker in history has ever thought of freedom. But that view does prevail today,

00:33:30.860 including among many quarters of the right. Ron DeSantis should not be basing his campaign

00:33:38.480 on a slogan of freedom. That is not going to work. That seems stale. That seems vague. It seems

00:33:45.680 wishy-washy and squishy. It seems like the old establishment line. And it's not what he has

00:33:51.620 excelled at as governor, and it's not what could push him over the finish line. If Ron DeSantis is

00:33:55.860 going to win this Republican primary, he's going to win it by offering something new and fresh and young

00:34:01.640 and exciting and different, responding to a real need from people. And people today are not complaining

00:34:07.080 because they don't have sufficient freedom. People don't even really know what freedom means

00:34:11.420 anymore. We've got a lot of freedom right now to do drugs. We've got a lot of freedom right now

00:34:16.900 to do weird sex stuff. We've got a lot of freedom right now to move across borders without being

00:34:20.920 checked. We've got a lot of freedom right now of private corporations to destroy our public square. 0.99

00:34:26.760 We've got a lot of freedom, okay? We don't suffer from a dearth of freedom, at least as the modern

00:34:30.740 liberals mean it. What we suffer from is a lack of order. What we suffer from is a lack of coherence.

00:34:36.620 What we suffer from is a lack of acceptance of reality. Okay, that's what we need.

00:34:44.260 One of the criticisms of the Trump campaign is that he's been a little too

00:34:48.060 laissez-faire when it comes to some of these issues. The best parts of the Trump campaign are

00:34:53.680 when he says, no, we're going to impose some more restrictions on trade. We're going to impose

00:34:56.580 some more restrictions on immigration. We're going to impose some more restrictions on the weird sex 1.00

00:35:00.820 behavior. We're going to, because, again, paradoxically, you can only have true freedom

00:35:08.320 by accepting restrictions. You can only have freedom of poetry when you recognize that you

00:35:14.140 need meter and rhyme schemes and order to your poetry. That's what opens up creativity. When you

00:35:19.420 take away all the limitations, you end up with slam poetry, which is the death of art. It's no freedom

00:35:24.120 at all. It's just babbling in coherence. You have political freedom when you recognize that there

00:35:28.500 are limitations to sex, nature, the family, the basic political unit, the community, borders.

00:35:36.120 That's the only way you can have political freedom is when you recognize there's a limitation

00:35:38.960 called the border around your country that gives you, the citizens, special rights and privileges

00:35:44.540 that distinguish you from the rest of the world. If you don't recognize that limitation,

00:35:48.060 then you don't have a nation. You certainly don't have any national freedom.

00:35:50.280 DeSantis probably wants to run away from being called an authoritarian. I know a lot. No one

00:35:57.300 wants to be called an authoritarian or a tough order, impose my will on people. Yeah, he doesn't

00:36:03.880 want. That's what people want. Trump won in 2016 by saying, hey, this free trade stuff, this total

00:36:10.400 open free trade, it hasn't worked out well for a lot of people. It hasn't worked out well for America's

00:36:14.740 manufacturing base. It hasn't actually worked out well for national security. The pro-freedom people

00:36:20.120 said that if we just outsource everything to China, we give away our intellectual property and our

00:36:23.900 whole manufacturing base, that'll make us a little bit richer. Maybe it did make some people a little

00:36:27.580 bit richer. Maybe it made GDP tick up. But now when we're facing a potential world war that would

00:36:32.120 involve China, now we look pretty weak. And we look back to our founding fathers. We look back to 0.97

00:36:36.920 Abraham Lincoln, who in many ways refounded the country. All of these guys said, no, having

00:36:42.540 manufacturing here, having some restrictions, that is a matter of national security. That's essential to a

00:36:49.000 flourishing country. Having borders is essential to a flourishing country. Having proscriptions,

00:36:55.060 limitations around your behavior, especially in the realm of sex and drugs and all sorts of behavior,

00:37:00.920 that's essential to your true freedom. Founding fathers said, if you abuse your liberty to

00:37:04.780 licentiousness, you're going to lose everything. It triggered me to see DeSantis, who's been a good

00:37:11.760 governor and he's run a decent campaign, relatively decent campaign thus far in difficult circumstances,

00:37:16.680 to go back to this freedom. We're just for freedom. It's just so stale. It's just, okay,

00:37:23.000 if DeSantis is going to run as just another one of these establishment guys who says the same old

00:37:28.360 lines from 2006, okay, fine. Trump's definitely going to win then. That's not even a question.

00:37:34.780 If DeSantis wants to be able to challenge the incumbent who's way up on him in the polls,

00:37:39.340 he's going to need to offer something a little bit different. He's going to have to

00:37:43.160 know what time it is. And I think he does generally. I think a lot of people around him

00:37:47.400 know what time it is. He's got to follow those instincts and don't fall back to the same old

00:37:51.800 platitudes. If DeSantis runs a safe campaign, he's completely toast. His only shot is to get a little

00:37:58.020 provocative. His only shot is to offer a choice, not an echo, just as Trump did in 2016.

00:38:06.700 Now, if you're looking for something interesting to watch, you got to check out the series.

00:38:10.440 What We Saw, hosted by storyteller Bill Whittle. Season one is focused on Apollo 11. Now,

00:38:15.880 season two of What We Saw is in full swing. In episode 12, a change of command comes too late

00:38:20.320 to reverse the situation in Southeast Asia as Richard Nixon's program of Vietnamization

00:38:24.600 eases America out of its worst directed war. But long before the last American serviceman

00:38:30.460 leaves Vietnam, a new generation of liberators rise to the challenge of saving American tactics,

00:38:36.760 weaponry, and doctrine from themselves. Bill makes you feel like you're there witnessing history.

00:38:43.000 Hear this amazing story in this week's episode of Cold War. New episodes of the Cold War come out

00:38:47.660 every week. You have got to be a member to see it. Go to dailywire.com slash cold war to start watching.

00:38:53.700 My favorite comment yesterday is from Jacoby F., who says, forget Pride Month. I will be celebrating

00:38:58.380 the Sacred Heart of Jesus month, which is June. That's true. That is the month of June,

00:39:01.760 month for the Sacred Heart of Jesus. And that's an important point. It's not just a point saying,

00:39:07.080 I'm going to be Christian and not be a lib or something. It's an important point that we 1.00

00:39:11.860 conservatives need to offer a positive vision. We need to offer not just things to hate,

00:39:19.060 not just things to avoid, but things to love, things to embrace, things to engage in. This is why

00:39:26.160 you are seeing in Orthodox Christian circles, especially in the Catholic Church. It's true 1.00

00:39:32.820 of all sorts of denominations that are relatively more Orthodox than others, but you're seeing this,

00:39:37.760 especially in the Catholic Church right now, a vast expansion and embrace of the traditional Latin

00:39:44.080 Mass, especially by young people, especially by converts, especially by reverts like myself.

00:39:49.920 Why is that? Still a small minority of people in the Catholic Church who attend the traditional

00:39:54.240 Latin Mass, and it's opposed by lots of people in high places at the Vatican, lots of boomers who 0.93

00:39:59.100 don't want us going back to that old bad-timey sort of liturgy that existed for thousands of years,

00:40:05.780 and it's the Mass of the ages. But why are young people flocking to that? Because it gives you

00:40:10.800 something beautiful, deep, rich, full of symbolism, something to love, something to venerate,

00:40:17.620 something to do with your body, something to do to occupy your time, when if you just remained

00:40:22.620 totally neutral, you would be swept away by the winds of the prevailing liberal culture. That's

00:40:27.780 what conservatives have to do broadly. We need to offer people not just a vision of how ugly the

00:40:33.080 stuff that the libs are doing is. We need to also build up for people and offer them a vision of beauty. 1.00

00:40:38.460 Now, I told you at the top of the show, no industry is going to be left untouched by pride. That is true

00:40:47.200 even of the abortion industry. Here is the pride campaign for Planned Parenthood.

00:40:54.100 Hi. Hi. Hi. My name is Lucky. I've had an abortion, and I get gender-affirming care from Planned

00:41:03.760 Parenthood. I wound up in a very, very difficult relationship, and within three months, I found

00:41:10.720 out that I was pregnant. I was like, oh no. My abortion was one of the greatest acts of compassion

00:41:20.500 I had ever committed. It was an easy decision, and it was a decision that, for the friends I had told

00:41:28.320 I was trans, they were like, get it. You know, that's fine. Like, great. You know, that's your decision.

00:41:35.820 You want to finally begin your life. And it was just one of the best decisions I had ever made,

00:41:45.520 ever in my life. Who's she trying to convince? The lady doth protest too much, me thinks. 1.00

00:41:56.520 When you make a good decision, do you need to constantly tell yourself and everybody else what

00:42:03.200 a good decision that was? When you engage in behaviors that are good for you and that allow

00:42:09.720 you to flourish, do you need to change your name to Lucky? I don't know what her real name is, 1.00

00:42:16.060 but do you need to change your name to Lucky? Happy, fortunate. Oh, me, I'm happy. That's my new

00:42:22.400 name. It used to be Michael, but now I'm happy because of how happy I am. I'm so happy. I've

00:42:27.500 made all the best decisions. I don't have any regrets. No, not me. No, I'm so happy. Are the

00:42:32.900 cameras rolling? Yes, I'm still very, very happy. I'm not really persuaded by that. I'm not persuaded.

00:42:42.560 This poor woman has made a complete horror show of her life, so clearly, in pretty much every respect. 1.00

00:42:51.680 fact, she murdered her child. This is what a murderer looks like. 1.00

00:43:01.720 We sometimes, even in the pro-life community, we don't, even we don't really want to admit that.

00:43:08.740 It's so ghastly. It's so horrifying. This woman is a murderer and not only committed murder, 1.00

00:43:17.740 murdered her own child. It's the worst kind of murder you can really imagine. 0.99

00:43:21.680 And then what? As she started to divorce herself from moral reality, she tried to shut that moral

00:43:30.800 reality out, like the beating heart under the floorboard in an Edgar Allan Poe story.

00:43:36.140 She tried to just ignore it, get that, no, stop it. I'm happy. I'm lucky. I'm lucky. I did a great

00:43:41.920 thing. I'm so compassionate. What happened? She started to divorce herself from reality in all

00:43:46.780 these other regards. And I'm not even a woman. I'm a man. And I'm not, and I'm not that, that old

00:43:52.740 person, that person has a dead name now. The person that I was, I was in a difficult relationship,

00:43:59.140 whatever that means. I've got all this trauma. I'm not going to address that trauma. I'm not going to

00:44:02.720 deal with reality. I'm not going to, to make sense of the problems in my life, some of which were

00:44:07.580 inflicted on me, some of which are the consequence of my own actions. I'm just going to, I'm going to kill 0.99

00:44:11.560 that person. That's a dead name now. And I'm going to, I'm going to put on a three-piece suit 1.00

00:44:17.540 and I'm going to do videos. Maybe if I just do one more video for Planned Parenthood about how happy

00:44:23.440 I am, maybe then I'll really be happy. Does that look like a flourishing person? I don't think so.

00:44:28.800 And then Planned Parenthood posts this with a comment, says, when it comes to your abortion,

00:44:35.400 any reason is the right reason. Gives away the game right there. Telling your

00:44:41.440 abortion story is important. And the more we talk about this essential form of healthcare,

00:44:44.860 the more normalized it becomes. Thank you for sharing, Lucky. It does become somewhat more

00:44:51.160 normalized. It does become somewhat more accepted. That's true. That's how culture works.

00:44:58.180 But it never becomes good. It never becomes right. It can never totally shut out the moral

00:45:05.020 conscience. We know most of, maybe all of us know at some level, but most of us know at a pretty

00:45:12.360 visceral level, this is really wrong. And you can normalize it and you can put rainbows on every 0.78

00:45:17.860 single building and you can have Planned Parenthood ads blaring from all the TV screens.

00:45:22.320 You can't change that reality. You can't shut out that, the beating heart underneath the floorboard

00:45:26.640 in the Edgar Allen Poe story. You can't. That's the telltale heart. That's the telltale

00:45:32.200 moral conscience that you've got that's going to show you the truth. Any reason is the right reason

00:45:42.000 for an abortion. Any reason? Any reason. What if it's that you hate men? You hate men and you found

00:45:52.300 out that your baby is a boy and so you want to kill the baby boy because you hate men so much. That is 1.00

00:45:57.580 actually an acceptable reason for an abortion. Now, people do it and doctors perform it. What if it's 1.00

00:46:03.300 this? What if it's that you hate black people and you, you know, you've got, you're, you have, you're 0.99

00:46:08.700 a woman, you have sex with a black person and so you know your baby's going to be black and you just, 1.00

00:46:12.180 you, you hate black people. I mean, you really, I don't know, maybe you got too drunk one night, 1.00

00:46:16.040 you slept with this, but you really, you seriously hate black people. So you found out your kid's 1.00

00:46:19.880 black and so you want to, you want to kill your child because he's black and you want to kill a black 1.00

00:46:22.940 person. That could be a reason for an abortion. Would that be the right reason? According to 1.00

00:46:30.080 Planned Parenthood, that would because any reason is the right. There's no wrong, wrong reason to

00:46:33.840 have an abortion. What if you want to have an abortion because you believe as many, many people

00:46:40.420 throughout history have believed that there are demons and you can curry favor with demons by

00:46:45.120 sacrificing innocent people and especially sacrificing babies. Widespread practice throughout the entire

00:46:51.340 world for most of human history, including today, by the way. Would that be a good reason? That's a

00:46:57.180 good reason to, oh, yes, I want to have an abortion to curry favor with the dark lord of the netherworld. 0.70

00:47:03.600 Would that be a good reason? According to Planned Parenthood, it would. I know it sounds ridiculous to

00:47:07.260 many modern people. That's what they're saying. The reasons always change. The conclusion is always the 0.91

00:47:13.400 same. Kill your baby. When any argument can lead you to a certain conclusion, a certain dark conclusion, 1.00

00:47:24.860 that should throw up your warning signs. That should have the sirens blaring. Whoa, watch out here. We're

00:47:31.100 not dealing with reality. This is not logical. There's dark stuff going on. And you're seeing it

00:47:37.580 throughout the left. Any, any reason is a reason to sterilize yourself and chop off your genitals and 1.00

00:47:43.640 pump yourself full of poison. Any reason is good. Whether you think you're born that way, you think 1.00

00:47:47.640 you became that way, or you watched a bunch of porn or whatever it is. Any reason, just trans yourself. 0.96

00:47:52.040 Just castrate yourself. Just chop your body up. Just kill your baby. The voice that is speaking to you 1.00

00:47:59.320 and telling you that, that's not the voice of the Holy Spirit. That's not the voice of your moral

00:48:04.140 conscience. That's a very different voice. And it's a voice that you should block out. Might be,

00:48:09.540 might be multiple voices. Might be a legion of voices. Some, some might suggest. Okay. I guess also

00:48:15.500 there's some sports thing going on. Not baseball, but I guess basketball or something. So anyway, Ben

00:48:19.440 Davies, who's like a big buff athlete guy, he wants to see if I can guess any NBA logos. Is there,

00:48:25.380 what is it? It's basketball season, I guess. I don't know. What do I know? The rest of the show
