The Michael Knowles Show - Ep. 1288 - Snow White Is Brown

00:00:00.000 On Friday, leaked photos reportedly showed the set of Disney's new version of Snow White

00:00:06.440 and the Seven Dwarves, starring a Hispanic lady and a bunch of tall guys. 0.52

00:00:11.920 Initially, Disney told the Daily Beast that the photos were fake, but a Disney spokesman

00:00:18.040 later recanted the denial and insisted instead that the photos were real, just not official,

00:00:26.240 whatever official means. They were obviously taken on set. And of course they were real.

00:00:31.320 This is all Hollywood can do now. It just remakes old stuff because it has no new stories to tell.

00:00:38.140 And it does so in a way that not only reliably erases white people, but at a deeper level than

00:00:43.860 that, just doesn't make any sense. Of course, Snow White is brown. Of course, the dwarves are tall.

00:00:53.060 It's 2023. Up is down. Right is left. Dudes are chicks. The next 101 Dalmatians will be played by 0.92

00:01:03.180 chihuahuas. The next Finding Nemo reboot will star a pigeon. The next Lion King will be Coco the

00:01:10.580 gorilla. It would be bad enough if our culture were merely absurd. What's happened to pop culture is

00:01:18.020 even worse. It's become entirely predictable. I'm Michael Knowles. This is the Michael Knowles Show.

00:01:51.140 that was developed to target certain ethnicities and that spared other ethnicities, including Asians

00:01:57.980 and Ashkenazi Jews, creating all sorts of ways. We'll get to that in a little bit. First though, 0.99

00:02:04.340 at least one generally predictable genre has been shaken up over the last few days. The genre,

00:02:11.300 presidential debates and interviews, the man who shook it up, Tucker Carlson. Tucker hosted a

00:02:19.820 candidate forum in Des Moines, Iowa. The Blaze aired it. And it wasn't a proper presidential debate in

00:02:26.040 that he was just grilling candidates individually. But Tucker woke up Friday morning and Tucker chose

00:02:33.200 violence and Tucker burned down about half the GOP presidential field. The most brutal exchange of the

00:02:39.820 day was with Mike Pence and it concerned the war in Ukraine. You are distressed that the Ukrainians 0.99

00:02:48.020 don't have enough American tanks. Every city in the United States has become much worse over the past

00:02:55.560 three years. Drive around. There's not one city that's gotten better in the United States. And it's

00:03:01.000 visible. Our economy has degraded. The suicide rate has jumped. Public filth and disorder and crime

00:03:07.780 have exponentially increased. And yet your concern is that the Ukrainians, a country most people can't

00:03:15.480 find on a map, who've received tens of billions of U.S. tax dollars, don't have enough tanks. I think

00:03:21.020 it's a fair question to ask, like, where's the concern for the United States in that? Well, it's not my

00:03:25.480 concern. Tucker, I've heard that routine from you before, but that's not my concern. I'm running for

00:03:32.560 president of the United States because I think this country's in a lot of trouble. I think Joe Biden has

00:03:37.360 weakened America at home and abroad. And as president of the United States, we're going to

00:03:42.140 restore law and order in our cities. We're going to secure our border. We're going to get this economy

00:03:47.020 moving again. Okay. It's a terrible answer. It was a terrible answer. It almost certainly destroyed

00:03:55.820 what chance there was for Mike Pence's presidential campaign. And yet, I think Pence's critics are being

00:04:04.420 a little disingenuous here. It seems clear enough to me that Mike Pence was not actually saying that

00:04:11.120 the American interest is not his concern. I know that's what it sounds like, but if we're being

00:04:17.140 charitable and we're being honest here, I don't think that's actually what he's saying. Tucker says,

00:04:22.140 well, all this terrible stuff's happening in America. Your concern is that Ukraine doesn't 1.00

00:04:26.480 have enough American tanks. Well, where's the concern for the American interest? And Mike Pence

00:04:30.280 says, well, that's not my concern. What do you think he's referring to there? Do you think he's

00:04:35.140 referring to that little bit at the end? Or do you think that Mike Pence started formulating his answer

00:04:39.220 when Tucker said, your concern is that Ukraine doesn't have enough American tanks? And he was planning

00:04:44.100 to give this canned packaged answer, which he immediately launches into, which is America's in

00:04:49.140 trouble. And he just goes right into the stump speech. It's obviously the latter. And yet,

00:04:55.040 the result is going to be the same. It's not that people are dunking on Pence here because of his

00:05:03.520 answer in this exchange. People are highlighting this exchange because they already want to dunk on

00:05:09.240 Pence because they already don't support him. And I know the effect of that is identical, but

00:05:13.300 he's not really saying that. It's just that people believe that the uncharitable way of interpreting

00:05:21.120 his answer gets to a deeper truth, perhaps an unwitting and unconscious truth about Pence's answer,

00:05:26.500 which is they view Mike Pence as being a representative of this mid-2000s kind of Republican

00:05:34.980 orthodoxy that's much more concerned about cutting taxes at home, not really fighting the culture war all

00:05:40.940 that hard, and policing the world, and engaging in adventures abroad. Fair or unfair, that's what

00:05:46.920 they think that Pence is after. And Pence's answer did not do him any service there. Pence, though, by the

00:05:53.340 way, always had a pretty much impossible path in this presidential race. The people who support Trump

00:06:01.220 hate him because Pence refused to hold up the certification of the votes on election day.

00:06:08.520 The people who hate Trump hate Pence because Pence made a deal with the devil and served as the

00:06:14.940 vice president for Trump for four years. So his support base basically did not exist. And he's

00:06:21.840 been trying to navigate these two fields. It was not going to work. And then Tucker came in and just

00:06:26.040 pulled that pin out of the grenade, threw it into the Mike Pence presidential campaign, and fairly or

00:06:31.000 unfairly, completely blew it up. Now, some GOP establishment types are insisting that this

00:06:38.920 Ukraine issue, it's not a big deal. It's not really going to affect the way that people vote in 2024.

00:06:45.060 Americans vote on domestic policy, not on foreign policy. Come on, get out of here, move along. 1.00

00:06:49.920 Well, this is a lot more than just an academic question because the war in Ukraine is heating up.

00:06:54.920 The Biden administration is becoming more belligerent in Ukraine. And now Joe Biden is calling

00:07:01.000 potentially to fight the war in Ukraine. So it's no longer just we're going to send some tanks and

00:07:05.800 guns over there to Ukraine and the Ukrainians can defend their own country. Increasingly, 0.53

00:07:10.200 you're seeing the normalization of talks that American servicemen will be fighting against

00:07:16.120 Russians in Ukraine, which strikes me as completely insane. But that's what the Biden administration is 0.97

00:07:21.500 doing. Biden just said, just declared, I'll read the exact language. By the authority vested in me as

00:07:28.660 president by the constitution, the laws of the United States, including sections 121 and 12304

00:07:34.140 of title 10 US code, I hereby determine that it is necessary to augment the active armed forces of

00:07:40.460 the United States for the effective conduct of operation Atlantic resolve in and around the United

00:07:45.700 States European commands area of responsibility. That's a lot of jargon. That's a lot of gobbledygook.

00:07:50.820 What does it mean? It means that we are further preparing the US military to participate in something

00:07:57.820 called Operation Atlantic resolve. What is Operation Atlantic resolve? That started in 2014. And it, in fact,

00:08:04.900 I have friends who were part of it. It bolstered the US military presence in the wake of Russia's invasion

00:08:12.120 of Crimea in 2014. So this was during the Obama administration. This goes back a long ways. And so you might

00:08:20.440 say, well, the war in Ukraine is increasingly unpopular now in the year of our Lord 2023. That's true. But the war in

00:08:26.360 Ukraine didn't start a year ago. The war in Ukraine didn't start even two years ago. The war in Ukraine

00:08:31.280 has been building, and American participation in that war has been building for almost a decade now.

00:08:39.020 2014. This is a long time coming. The CIA director was landing in Kiev almost a decade ago after the

00:08:47.440 color revolution, after the Maidan revolution that kicked out a pro-Russian leader in Ukraine and

00:08:52.620 installed a more pro-Western leader in Ukraine. So the participation has been much more longstanding than a lot of

00:08:59.300 people know. And the stakes are much higher here. We're bought in on Ukraine. Forget the bazillions of dollars

00:09:05.460 that we've given to Ukraine over the last two years. And so there is no holdup from the DOD and from the liberal

00:09:13.000 establishment to increase the tensions in that war. That's why Tucker Carlson is saying, hey, if the Democrats are already

00:09:20.040 bought in on fighting in Ukraine and half the Republicans are already bought in on that, I'm

00:09:23.140 going to stand up here. I want to hold people's feet to the fire and call attention to this war before it

00:09:28.500 spins totally out of control. Now, he wants to restore balance to foreign policy. We need to restore

00:10:52.060 Now, as Biden wants to escalate the war in Ukraine, as Mike Pence gets caught, apparently seeming like

00:10:58.920 he hears more about Ukraine than the U.S., even though I think that's sort of an unfair reading,

00:11:01.920 as this becomes a major wedge issue, Donald Trump is being held out as the guy who doesn't want war,

00:11:09.340 doesn't want to increase tensions in Ukraine. And yet, right now, they got him. Trump's critics

00:11:15.360 on the right are pointing out that in a recent interview with Maria Bartiromo, Trump praised

00:11:20.900 Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky and said that he would give Ukraine even more weapons. So you're

00:11:27.120 seeing this, especially from people who are working, either working directly for or practically

00:11:32.200 speaking, working for the DeSantis campaign among the right wing commentariat. They're attacking Trump

00:11:37.020 and they're saying Donald Trump wants to increase the U.S. donations of munitions and arms and tanks

00:11:43.940 to Ukraine, wants to increase that war. He's a neocon. He's for a forever war. He's for foreign 0.80

00:11:49.860 adventurism. And it's just B.S. Here is the full exchange.

00:11:55.940 You said you could end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours. Yes. How would you do that?

00:12:01.020 I know Zelensky very well. I felt he was very honorable because when they asked him about the

00:12:06.080 perfect phone call that I made, he said it was indeed perfect. He said it was. He didn't even

00:12:10.580 know what they were talking about. He could have grandstanded. Oh, I felt threatened. Well,

00:12:14.120 that's not going to be enough for Putin to stop bombing. No, no, no, no. I'm not saying that.

00:12:17.420 I, what I'm saying is that I know Zelensky very well and I know Putin very well, even better.

00:12:23.020 And I had a good relationship, very good with both of them. I would tell Zelensky,

00:12:28.220 no more. You got to make a deal. I would tell Putin, if you don't make a deal, we're going to

00:12:33.660 give him a lot. We're going to give more than they ever got if we have to. I will have the deal done

00:12:38.580 in one day, one day. So you see what they're doing. The people who hate Trump

00:12:44.580 on the right, they're only clipping out that last part. And they're saying, oh, I'm going to

00:12:50.120 give Zelensky more than he's ever gotten. They clip out the first part and the last part. He's a

00:12:54.200 very honorable man and I'm going to give him more than he's ever gotten. And they're going to make

00:12:57.900 him sound like he's, you know, Lindsey Graham 2.0 or something. But they're missing that middle

00:13:03.340 part, which is the most crucial aspect where he says, I would tell Zelensky to make a deal.

00:13:08.100 The reason that the war in Ukraine is still going on is because the Biden administration and the

00:13:15.360 liberal establishment wants it to go on. And so they're not encouraging diplomacy at all.

00:13:20.980 They're bolstering this insane idea that they're going to rout every single Russian troop from every

00:13:25.180 part of Ukraine, including Crimea. It's never going to happen. And so the liberal establishment

00:13:30.820 keeps pushing that. Trump says, why does he flatter Zelensky? Because he wants to have influence

00:13:37.780 with Zelensky. Says he and I got along great. Oh, he's a good guy. And I'm going to tell him,

00:13:43.600 sit down, come to the table, give up your most ambitious goals, sit down and make a deal with

00:13:49.980 Putin. And then look, I've got a great relationship with Putin and I'm going to tell him to come to

00:13:53.620 the table. But the leverage he's going to have on Putin is he's going to say, and if Putin won't

00:13:57.120 come to the table, I'm going to arm Zelensky to the hilt. Maybe you like Trump. Maybe you hate Trump.

00:14:02.520 Maybe you think Trump is good at making the art of the deal. Maybe you think he's a terrible 0.62

00:14:05.960 negotiator and he's just a bragger and a blowharder. Whatever you think about him. 0.90

00:14:09.620 But it is completely disingenuous to say that Trump is calling for an escalation of the war

00:14:14.880 in Ukraine. That is the exact opposite of what he is saying. And I actually had forgotten that this is

00:14:21.140 how presidential primaries are, is that people tend to dig in and they pick a candidate, even among the

00:14:28.120 commentariat, even among the journalists, they pick a candidate and they decide that this is going to be

00:14:32.460 my candidate, ride or die. And they will sometimes even be dishonest and disingenuous about what the

00:14:37.040 other candidates have said. And I've told you from the beginning, I think I might be alone in the

00:14:42.640 right wing commentariat to say, I am not working for a campaign. I am not going to endorse in a primary,

00:14:49.120 or at least I'm going to do my level best not to endorse in a primary. So I'm going to call it like

00:14:52.800 I see it. And if that means that I'm going to defend Mike Pence sometimes, even if that's, I'm going to do it.

00:14:57.420 And if that means I'm going to defend Donald Trump sometimes, I'm going to do it.

00:15:00.460 And if that means I'm going to defend Ron DeSantis sometimes, I'm going to do it. And all the other

00:15:04.880 guys too. There are a lot more people that Tucker really exposed for better and worse, which we'll

00:15:11.140 get to in one second. First though, speaking of Russia, I'm glad somebody listened to my CPAC

00:15:15.580 speech. I'm glad that there were some politicians in the world who were listening to my CPAC speech,

00:15:22.280 which called not just to raise the age at which you can trans the kids, which called not just to maybe

00:15:27.620 more tightly regulate puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, but which said that for the

00:15:32.640 good of society and especially for the good of the poor individuals who have fallen prey to this

00:15:35.700 confusion, transgenderism must be eradicated from public life entirely. The whole preposterous 1.00

00:15:41.920 ideology at every level. Some politicians are implementing that. And I'm sorry to say it's not

00:15:49.240 our politicians here in America. It's not even the politicians in the West broadly. It's the Russian 0.73

00:15:54.400 Duma. The Russians just passed draft legislation banning gender change. State Duma authorities added

00:16:03.180 provisions to the bill, proved on Thursday to ban transgender people from adopting or fostering

00:16:09.440 children to annul their marriages if one of the couples subsequently changes gender and that will 0.99

00:16:15.560 prohibit the transgender procedures broadly. It's very sad to me when our geopolitical opponents,

00:16:29.200 some of whom have dabbled in really bad ideas throughout history, have greater moral clarity than

00:16:34.400 we do. The science, such as it is, is very clear. The transgender transition helps nobody. The whole 1.00

00:16:44.200 argument for the transgender transition is that some people are confused about their sex and they

00:16:50.320 have high rates of anxiety, depression, and suicidality. They have a suicide attempt rate of

00:16:55.840 about 41%. So the argument is we need to let them chop up their bodies and mutilate themselves. We need 1.00

00:17:00.100 to castrate children in order to ameliorate that. And the fact is, even if you're just looking at the 0.98

00:17:04.560 science, it doesn't achieve that at all. The suicide rate is basically exactly the same post-transition,

00:17:11.580 surgical, hormonal, all the rest of it, as it is beforehand. The transgender transition does not 1.00

00:17:19.000 help anxiety or depression or suicidality. In fact, the largest data set we have on this question

00:17:25.100 shows that it actually makes at least one of those categories, anxiety, worse. It's bad. But we don't

00:17:32.760 need the science and we don't need a bunch of studies to know that because we can know, we can deduce,

00:17:37.760 just using our faculties of reason, that men and women are different and men can't become women and

00:17:42.740 women can't become men. And we can also know that lies are very cruel and will alienate you and isolate

00:17:49.900 you from reality and make you deeply unhappy. And the truth will set you free. That's the thing we

00:17:54.200 can know. We don't need a microscope to know that. You can just use your faculties of reason and your

00:17:58.040 moral conscience. So this is obviously very wrong. You know the tree by its fruit. Every fruit of the

00:18:04.980 transgender movement has been absolutely evil and wicked and misery making. And now not only are we 1.00

00:18:11.460 allowing poor adults to follow mental illness and spiritual darkness into these terrible places, but

00:18:17.780 now we're foisting this on children as well. Really, really young children, prepubescent children. And it's

00:18:22.860 just absolutely ghastly and evil and is a national shame. It is a civilizational shame that we here in the

00:18:29.440 United States, we're supposed to be the good guys. We here in the West, we're supposed to be the good

00:18:33.280 guys. We're castrating little kids and condemning them to a life that will very plausibly end in

00:18:39.560 suicide. While the Russians, they're supposed to be the bad guys. Remember, until the early 90s, 0.99

00:18:44.320 they were communists, godless, evil communists. Well, these guys are the ones who are saying, no, 0.78

00:18:49.260 we're not going to condemn people to this miserable, awful fate. And we're not going to enshrine

00:18:54.620 decadence and depravity and falsehood and lies and wickedness as a national policy, okay? And it's really,

00:19:03.780 really sad. And it's a great national disgrace. And it requires a little bit of introspection here.

00:19:09.500 Because I want us to be the good guys. But to be the good guys, we got to stop doing bad stuff. We got to

00:19:14.360 stop killing 800,000 babies a year. That's really bad. History is not going to look kindly on us for doing

00:19:20.500 that. Turning poor little kids into eunuchs. That's really bad. History is not going to look

00:19:26.080 kindly on us. Enshrining sexual decadence as the greatest and actually sole moral good in our

00:19:32.400 culture. That's really bad. There's a lot of bad stuff in Russia too. But on this particular issue,

00:19:41.580 the Russians have it right. And we in America, we've become so confident in our moral superiority

00:19:49.080 over those awful evil Russians or the Chinese or whoever that we lose sight of that. Because when 1.00

00:19:55.520 we become very confident in that moral superiority, we fall into the sin of pride, which is the queen

00:20:00.580 of all vice. We just had a month literally celebrating pride. And pride goes before destruction

00:20:05.360 and a haughty spirit before a fall. Now, when you want to improve your body,

00:21:32.320 Speaking of national humiliations, Kamala Harris, I guess I could just end it there. Speaking of

00:21:38.780 national humiliations, Kamala Harris, she just gave a speech in which she committed a gaffe. 1.00

00:21:47.320 And a gaffe, most people think a gaffe is when a politician accidentally says something that he

00:21:52.300 doesn't mean to say. A gaffe is actually when a politician accidentally tells the truth. And

00:21:58.240 that's what happened here when Kamala Harris accidentally articulated the ultimate goal 1.00

00:22:04.720 of so many leftist policies. Think about the impact on something like public health.

00:22:10.680 When we invest in clean energy and electric vehicles and reduce population,

00:22:16.520 more of our children can breathe clean air and drink clean water.

00:22:22.960 What was that? Hold on. Oh, I said we were going to drink clean air and have, no, no, no, before that.

00:22:28.800 Oh, we were going to have clean water. No, hold on. I think it was after that. Where was that? Can we

00:22:31.780 play that again, please? Think about the impact on something like public health.

00:22:36.560 When we invest in clean energy and electric vehicles and reduce population.

00:22:42.040 Hold on. Okay. There we go. We got it. We got it. Reduce population.

00:22:50.000 She opens up, she says, think about the effect on public health. And then as part of public health,

00:22:58.400 she suggests we reduce the population. Reducing the population means killing people. 0.98

00:23:07.780 Or at the very, the most charitable way you could read that is sterilizing people, 0.93

00:23:14.480 getting people not to have kids, whether physically or just culturally. That's what they want. They 0.58

00:23:21.220 really do want to reduce the population. And they've, they've said it sometimes overtly,

00:23:25.220 sometimes only implicitly. This has been true since Margaret Sanger and the birth control movement.

00:23:30.640 It's been true since the most radical forms of liberalism. And it's really been true since the

00:23:37.380 Garden of Eden because the devil and the principalities and powers and spiritual wickedness

00:23:41.580 in high places that controls this world really doesn't like people. And so all these left-wing policies

00:23:47.120 keep coming down to the same point, which is reducing population, which is killing human beings.

00:23:53.020 Isn't that weird? Shouldn't that make you scratch your head if you're a liberal? You say, wait,

00:23:58.440 all of these, all of these policies, abortion, the encouragement of deviant sexual behaviors,

00:24:05.680 sterilization, euthanasia, so-called, the planned parenthood, contraception, on and on and on,

00:24:16.320 all for supposedly different purposes, for women's freedom, for climate protection, for compassion for

00:24:27.720 the elderly and the sick, for this, for that. They totally changed the justification, but the end

00:24:32.280 result is always the same, killing people. Shouldn't that give you pause? You say, hold on,

00:24:37.660 the practical effect of all of my policies is killing people, no matter what the justification is.

00:24:46.000 Maybe we're the baddies. Maybe, are we potentially the baddies? When you look around the world and you 0.90

00:24:52.160 say, wow, the vast majority of the world doesn't kill anywhere near as many babies as we do, and they

00:24:57.600 don't permit killing babies as late in the game as we do. In fact, the countries with the most radical

00:25:03.800 abortion policies are America, Canada, sorry to say, China, and North Korea, which are not great

00:25:11.260 regimes. So are we, are we the baddies? Are we on the wrong side of this issue? Russia, which is a 0.99

00:25:16.940 place with all sorts of problems that has done all sorts of bad things, they're not chopping off little

00:25:21.580 kids' body parts. They're actually banning that. We're promoting that. Are we, on this particular issue,

00:25:27.500 are we perhaps the baddies? Are we, if our motivating drive here is to reduce the population,

00:25:40.660 then the whole point of statecraft is so that people can flourish. It's to pursue the good and

00:25:45.460 to avoid evil and to allow people to live happy lives, which is articulated in our Declaration of

00:25:51.660 Independence. Life, liberty, and sometimes the classical liberals, they'll, they want to rewrite the

00:25:57.020 Declaration of Independence as John Locke articulated this phrase, and they'll say that we're here for

00:26:02.700 life, liberty, and property. That's, that's not it. That's not what Jefferson wrote. That's not what

00:26:07.600 the founding fathers wrote. They said life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, which refers to a

00:26:12.200 more classical conception of statecraft, which is the common good. What is law? The classical conception

00:26:18.620 of the law is that law is an ordinance of reason for the common good by him who has care of the

00:26:24.320 community and promulgated. It's not good to kill people. That doesn't, that doesn't help people's

00:26:31.120 good. And that's what they want. Now, speaking of, did you know that over 85% of grass-fed beef sold

00:27:08.500 DAILYWIRE. Good Ranchers, American meat delivered. Killing people. Speaking of Democrats making gaffes,

00:27:15.740 RFK Jr. just got in a lot of trouble for a conversation that appears to have been secretly recorded

00:27:22.580 at some kind of a donor political event in which he discusses one theory about COVID.

00:27:31.020 We have put hundreds of millions of dollars into ethnically targeted microbes. The Chinese have 1.00

00:27:39.100 done the same thing. In fact, COVID-19, there's an argument that it is ethnically targeted. COVID-19

00:27:47.860 attacks certain races disproportionately. The races that are most immune to COVID-19 are because

00:27:59.860 of the structure of the genetic structure or genetic differentials among different races of the receptors,

00:28:11.620 of the ACE2 receptor. COVID-19 is targeted to attack Caucasians and black people. The people who are most 1.00

00:28:25.620 immune are Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese. We don't know whether it was deliberately targeted that or not, but there are papers out there that show the racial and ethnic differential

00:28:39.620 impact. That's pretty crazy, huh? That's pretty wild. The idea that COVID could discriminate by race and that COVID would most target white and black people. And the groups that are least susceptible to COVID would be Chinese and Ashkenazi Jews. That seems totally crazy, right?

00:29:01.420 And as everybody was yelling and calling RFK a kook and a nut and an anti-Semite, before I addressed any of that, I thought, well, let me just Google and see if any of this is true.

00:29:14.520 And then I pulled up this paper. This is a paper that was published in BMC Medicine. It's a real medical journal. This is from people at the Cleveland Clinic. This is people at Columbia University. So these are serious scientists and scholars. The headline is new insights into genetic susceptibility of COVID-19 and ACE2 and TMPR SS2 polymorphism analysis.

00:29:41.620 So ACE2, I guess that's referring to what Bobby Kennedy Jr. was talking about here. And then we've got some numbers here. The background here, the analysis across the different groups, across the different populations. And it finds, well, exactly what he's talking about.

00:30:03.360 It says that for African-Americans and for white people, the risk is much higher. And for East Asians, the risk is relatively lower. And for Ashkenazi Jews, the risk is the lowest among any of those groups.

00:30:21.740 Okay. So that part is true. Now, there's a flip side to this. I said, so hold on, you're telling me that COVID doesn't affect Jews? 0.88

00:30:29.640 I Googled that. I said, that doesn't sound right. And then I find another study that is from another medical journal and says there's elevated Jewish mortality from coronavirus in England and Wales, an epidemiological and demographic detective story. 0.68

00:30:42.840 So you got the one study, it says because of this ACE2 receptor, whatever the hell it is, you've got very low Jewish, Ashkenazi Jewish susceptibility to the virus.

00:30:53.260 And then this other study, it says you've got elevated mortality. So what does this mean? How the hell should I know? I majored in history and Italian literature. I don't know what an ACE2 receptor is. I don't even really believe scientific studies.

00:31:07.480 I don't, do I think that Bobby Kennedy Jr. hates the Jews or Chinese? I don't know why they didn't say he was, wasn't anti-Chinese racist or something like that. But I don't know. Is he, do I think that? No, I don't really think that. He's sort of an eccentric guy.

00:31:21.600 You know what I do think though? The only thing I can conclude from this whole episode is I don't know anything about the COVID science or whatever. You know, the main takeaway here for me is that the media are going to treat Bobby Kennedy Jr. as a Republican.

00:31:39.440 Because this whole episode has nothing to do with the papers, the people who are calling him a complete maniac and a racist and a this and a that. They don't even point out he's referring to a real scientific study that's been out for a few years.

00:31:54.180 They don't engage in that study. They're not raising studies that might perhaps question those results. It has nothing to do with that at all. They don't care what he said.

00:32:00.900 They're just going to call him a racist because that's what the libs do to conservatives when conservatives are in public life. 0.90

00:32:07.540 So Bobby Kennedy Jr., who is a Kennedy, who is from the most prominent Democrat family in the country right now, because he is questioning the liberal establishment, because he's going up against Biden in this presidential race, he is going to be treated as a Republican.

00:32:21.980 He is going to be treated as a Republican. He is going to be a Republican. He is going to be a racist. Doesn't matter what he says. Doesn't matter what he means. Doesn't matter what studies he cites.

00:32:33.960 The COVID stuff doesn't even matter. Increasingly, this guy, he could talk about tax policy. He could talk about Ukraine. He could talk about anything.

00:32:42.980 They will treat him that way, and it will probably work. Right now, Bobby Kennedy seems to have maxed out his support at 17 to 19 percent. Hard to imagine that the establishment lets him get any higher than that.

00:32:57.160 Now, speaking of the 2024 election, CNN is reporting that Joe Biden is not actually running for re-election.

00:33:04.840 CNN reports that top Democrats and donors have reached out to, quote, possible replacements for Joe Biden and had conversations about them getting in the race as Joe Biden struggles for the White House.

00:33:19.580 What does this mean? This is, I had the same reaction to the CNN report as I had to the viral moment of Bobby Kennedy talking about genetic susceptibility to the coronavirus,

00:33:32.420 which is the story is not the story itself. The story is the way that it's playing out in the media.

00:33:41.260 I don't trust CNN on anything. So do I trust that Biden's not running? No, I think Biden probably does want to run for president. I don't trust that report.

00:33:48.660 What I now know from the CNN story is that top Democrats and the media and the liberal establishment do not want Biden to run.

00:33:57.960 And the reason they don't want Biden to run is not because he's extremely old and incompetent and has wind blowing through his ears.

00:34:03.780 That's been true for 50 years of Joe Biden's politics, at least the fact that he wasn't always the sharpest tool in the shed.

00:34:10.360 And they already knew that he was elderly when he ran the first time. That's not it.

00:34:14.580 The reason that they don't want him to run for re-election is because right now he's probably going to lose.

00:34:19.200 At least if the election is fair, at least there's a good shot that he loses.

00:34:24.400 And what does that mean? That means that contrary to what you've been hearing from a lot of the media reports,

00:34:30.060 that there's no way that Donald Trump could ever possibly beat Joe Biden.

00:34:34.160 The liberal media clearly think that Donald Trump could beat Joe Biden.

00:34:37.620 Because right now Donald Trump is overwhelmingly likely to get the GOP nomination.

00:34:41.000 So if they felt that Biden could beat Trump, walk away with it, then they would make Biden the nominee.

00:34:46.140 And then he would quietly go off into the sunset after he won re-election.

00:34:50.080 I suspect they also think that Ron DeSantis could beat Joe Biden.

00:34:53.400 But my takeaway here is they fear that the likely GOP nominee, the one who's up 30 points in the polls,

00:34:59.040 Donald Trump, could beat Biden.

00:35:01.000 And I think that he could probably beat him too.

00:36:11.180 My favorite comment yesterday is from Raider Batman, who says,

00:36:15.600 The Secret Service is staying true to its name.

00:36:19.380 They're keeping everything they find a secret.

00:36:21.620 So true.

00:36:22.760 Including and especially fingerprints on dime bags of the old Colombian nose candy found in the West Wing.

00:36:31.520 Speaking of presidential politics, back to that candidate forum.

00:36:36.160 Tucker really did a number on Mike Pence.

00:36:40.080 He may have gone even harder on a candidate polling even lower.

00:36:46.640 That would be former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson.

00:36:50.000 This is a permanent change we are making to a child.

00:36:53.380 Why would we allow that if we don't allow surgery?

00:36:55.500 Well, permanent change is one issue, but also hormonal treatment is a different issue and can be a different issue.

00:37:04.740 And whenever you look at the bill that I vetoed, there was not any grandfather clause in there.

00:37:10.140 Again, I respect legislators that have a different view, but I think independently.

00:37:15.420 I think of the parents, I think of the Constitution, and actually the court, if you read the decision of the federal judge that struck it down as unconstitutional, really sided with parents as well.

00:37:26.400 But how is it treatment?

00:37:28.180 I guess that's my question.

00:37:29.160 If you have a child who says, who's born a boy, I want to become a girl.

00:37:33.180 He hasn't gone through puberty yet.

00:37:35.160 He's saved 10.

00:37:36.660 Is it treatment to prevent him from going through the natural process of adolescence?

00:37:41.660 How is that treatment?

00:37:42.600 It seems not like treatment.

00:37:44.740 It seems like something else.

00:37:45.660 Well, you have to...

00:37:48.640 Tucker, I hope that we'll be able to talk about some issues.

00:37:52.080 I know that...

00:37:52.760 Well, this is one of the biggest issues in the country, and I think every person in this room would agree that it is a central issue because these are children.

00:38:04.180 Tucker hits the nail on the head here.

00:38:07.000 In the whole framing of the question, he says, why do you support this treatment?

00:38:11.700 And Asa Hutchinson tries to avoid moral reasoning.

00:38:15.760 He says, well, look, Tucker, I just don't think that we need to be interfering in treatment.

00:38:22.760 And Tucker points out, he says, no, no, no.

00:38:25.520 Asa, the question is, is this treatment or not?

00:38:30.100 Yeah, I agree.

00:38:31.320 If a man really could become a woman, and if some kids are actually born in the wrong body or whatever that means, and if you could then chop them up and then put them in the right body or whatever, I guess that would be treatment. 0.95

00:38:44.500 But that's the debate.

00:38:46.360 The whole debate is, is this treatment or not?

00:38:51.740 It's the same issue with abortion.

00:38:55.500 A similar kind of issue here when we're debating abortion, which is the Libs say, look, maybe you support abortion, maybe you don't.

00:39:01.580 But I think we all agree a woman needs to have the right to choose.

00:39:06.580 And the pro-life side says, the right to choose what?

00:39:11.040 The choice here at play is precisely what we're debating.

00:39:14.920 It's the same thing with the debate over gay marriage.

00:39:17.280 Listen, you might not support gay marriage.

00:39:18.940 You don't need to get involved in a gay marriage. 1.00

00:39:20.720 But I think we all can agree here that we all have the right to marriage.

00:39:24.660 And the conservatives say, yeah, sure.

00:39:27.620 But the question is, what is marriage?

00:39:29.600 That's what we're debating.

00:39:31.460 What is marriage?

00:39:33.020 What is a woman? 1.00

00:39:34.020 What is life?

00:39:36.280 What is treatment?

00:39:38.560 And then Asa realizes he just got got.

00:39:41.620 So he tries to deflect.

00:39:43.240 And he says, well, look, I hope we can talk about some issues.

00:39:45.980 And Tucker says, what freaking issue do you want to talk about that's more urgent than this? 0.95

00:39:50.920 We're castrating a generation of children. 0.99

00:39:52.900 And we're chopping them up and lowering their life expectancy and condemning them to a life 0.98

00:39:58.360 that will be much more miserable than it otherwise would be. 0.87

00:40:01.480 What do you want to talk about?

00:40:02.400 You want to talk about marginal corporate tax cuts, Asa?

00:40:05.520 I think everyone in this room realizes this is an important issue.

00:40:09.320 And Asa has nothing.

00:40:10.740 And he just sputters.

00:40:12.740 This is what happens when you hire managers.

00:40:17.600 There are two kinds of Republicans one increasingly sees.

00:40:20.860 There are conservatives who are offering an alternative vision for our country and what

00:40:28.880 good looks like and what flourishing life looks like.

00:40:32.820 And then there are managers.

00:40:34.320 There are people who are going to manage liberalism in a slightly more efficient way.

00:40:40.060 And Asa Hutchinson is in the latter category.

00:40:42.500 He's saying, yeah, look, I agree with the liberals on everything.

00:40:44.500 I defer to the scientists and the technocrats and the leading liberals on everything.

00:40:49.140 But I'm just going to do it in a way that's a little bit more efficient and polite.

00:40:53.660 Oh, OK.

00:40:54.540 Cool.

00:40:54.860 Wow.

00:40:55.220 Boy, let's go. 0.62

00:40:56.340 Where do I sign up?

00:40:57.260 It stirs my soul so much.

00:41:00.060 The other candidate who did not fare terribly well from this grilling by Tucker, Senator Tim Scott.

00:41:08.540 Stop this war and reach a peace as one does, where both sides, you know, concede some of their interests.

00:41:15.200 Like, why wouldn't that be in our interest to do that?

00:41:17.120 I think the faster we get to peace, the better off we are.

00:41:20.020 What we don't want to do, from my perspective, is allow ourselves to ask for a premature peace

00:41:25.600 that cannot be achieved as the alliances continue to come together.

00:41:29.800 To the extent that we can find our path out of this situation, the better off we are.

00:41:34.760 So what's the point at which we'll know that we've achieved our goal?

00:41:38.780 And I say that within the context of having watched 20 years of occupation in Afghanistan,

00:41:43.820 where nobody could answer the question, what's the point?

00:41:46.480 And no one in Congress ever asked that question?

00:41:49.260 Amazingly.

00:41:49.960 So what is the specific goal here?

00:41:52.540 Yeah.

00:41:52.880 So I would say that the objective should be for Zelensky and Ukraine to be able to achieve victory

00:41:59.980 by maintaining as much of their territory as they possibly can.

00:42:03.560 And then seeing the resources that we've deployed, along with our Western alliances,

00:42:10.040 achieving the peace that I believe comes when you get these two folks to sit down

00:42:14.800 and have a conversation that allows them to determine where those lines will be drawn

00:42:19.540 for the next hundred years.

00:42:21.720 Okay.

00:42:23.460 Tucker just lets it go.

00:42:24.900 Okay.

00:42:25.960 But Tim Scott didn't say anything there.

00:42:27.780 He did his best and he's a nice guy, but he didn't say anything.

00:42:32.960 He said, I want peace, but we need, we, we shouldn't achieve a peace before we can have

00:42:39.840 a peace that is achievable.

00:42:42.200 And Tucker presses him and says, well, what's that look like?

00:42:47.120 When do we know we've achieved the peace that is achievable?

00:42:50.380 And he says, well, it's when these guys, Putin and, and Zelensky, when they sit down and they

00:42:57.520 have a conversation.

00:43:00.620 Okay.

00:43:00.980 What's the point of the conversation?

00:43:02.220 Well, the point of conversation is going to be, they're going to work out what the limits

00:43:06.480 are.

00:43:07.100 Yeah.

00:43:07.420 Right.

00:43:07.620 That's the question.

00:43:08.180 What are the limits?

00:43:08.780 What, what is it?

00:43:09.580 What is the, okay, check, check, check.

00:43:11.720 We've got our, we've accomplished our goals.

00:43:13.400 Now the war is over.

00:43:15.080 Well, he says it a little bit earlier in the answer.

00:43:16.920 He says, well, it's when Zelensky can keep as much of his land as he possibly can.

00:43:20.500 Okay.

00:43:21.140 Well, as much of his land as he possibly can keep is all of it.

00:43:27.120 So now you're saying that the war is going to continue until Ukraine maintains its territorial

00:43:34.400 integrity that it had before what?

00:43:37.540 Two years ago that it had before 2014, that it had before the invasion of Crimea, that it

00:43:41.380 had, that's never going to happen.

00:43:44.060 This is a thousand year territorial dispute that we're talking about in Ukraine.

00:43:48.240 So Tim Scott's answer effectively is we're going to have war forever, which was the,

00:43:52.640 which was the answer in Afghanistan.

00:43:54.980 But the, the imperialists who supported that didn't have the courage of their convictions

00:43:59.660 to actually say it.

00:44:01.500 Maintaining an overseas empire is a common theme throughout history.

00:44:06.060 And it's a defensible position.

00:44:08.300 Might not be your position, might not be my position.

00:44:10.600 It's a defensible one, but the people who were arguing for that.

00:44:14.060 They couldn't really make the argument.

00:44:15.520 They didn't want to make the argument because when, when you ask these imperialists, when

00:44:21.020 you ask these foreign adventurists, what is the goal of this war?

00:44:25.760 The answer is the goal is to keep it going.

00:44:28.580 And what the more conservative people are saying right now, lowercase c conservative, they're

00:44:32.520 saying, well, you know, when you're just engaged in an open-ended war with a nuclear

00:44:37.500 former superpower where you're encroaching on a buffer state that previously separated you

00:44:42.600 two guys who were at a, on the brink of nuclear war for the back half of the 20th century,

00:44:47.960 closest we've ever come to an all-out nuclear war, that gets pretty dangerous.

00:44:55.880 And no one, except for like one guy at a candidate forum, no one seems to want to press the candidates

00:45:01.140 on that question as we all sleepwalk into World War III.

00:45:05.720 You know, the rest of the show continues now on that happy note.
