The Michael Knowles Show - Ep. 1402 - Trump Picks His VP For 2024

00:00:00.000 the dream is dead. Pour one out. Grieve. Bid farewell to the Chris-a-sants, or croissants 0.90

00:00:09.660 for short, that never was. Chris Christie has dropped out of the 2024 presidential race.

00:00:17.700 Christie's announcement came just hours before the final primary debate before the Iowa caucuses.

00:00:23.060 But if you were expecting an endorsement, some signal from the candidate as to where

00:00:28.620 Christie's supporter should redirect his vote, you will be disappointed because Christie capped off

00:00:34.980 his concession with a parting shot at both of his remaining rivals in the race, all caught

00:00:42.160 on a supposedly hot mic. They don't want to hear it. We know we're right, but they don't want to

00:00:48.980 hear it. And, and there's, you know, we couldn't have been any clearer if we couldn't have been

00:00:53.480 any more, any more director worked any harder. So, you know,

00:00:57.520 And let's not forget she spent $68 million.

00:00:59.840 Yeah.

00:01:00.840 I mean, we've spent like $10 million.

00:01:01.840 Well, when you give land to China and places like that.

00:01:03.840 Yeah, that's what you get.

00:01:04.840 Yeah. Yeah. I mean, look, she spent $68 million so far, just on TV, spent $68 million so far,

00:01:10.840 $59 million by DeSantis. And we spent $12 million.

00:01:13.840 Yeah.

00:01:14.840 I mean, who's punching above their weight and who's getting a return on their investment, you know,

00:01:19.160 and she's going to get smoked. And you and I both know it. She's not up to this.

00:01:22.600 Because she hasn't even been challenged.

00:01:24.080 She's still 20 points behind Trump in the moment, I'm sure, right?

00:01:26.300 Yeah. Oh, yeah.

00:01:26.920 And he's going to, he's still going to carry Iowa, right?

00:01:29.020 Yes. Oh, he's, I talked to, DeSantis called me, petrified that I would.

00:01:35.160 He's probably getting out after Iowa.

00:01:38.780 Whoa, where did that tape come from? What a, what an amazingly convenient leak where Christie

00:01:44.540 sounds totally articulate and gets across all of the vindictive points he wants to make

00:01:48.720 in the race. And then it cuts off right before he could spill a little bit of tea.

00:01:52.500 And in any case, Christie's not endorsing either of these people. These were tough words followed

00:01:58.000 by a tough debate. So how will this major political news affect the polls, which have Trump 52 points

00:02:07.380 up on everyone? Polls, which basically haven't changed in 17 months. They've just stayed pretty

00:02:14.020 much exactly the same with the entire rest of the field combined, still not equaling Trump's support.

00:02:21.460 Stay tuned for the shocking answer as to how all of this will affect the race.

00:02:26.580 It won't. I'm Michael Knowles. This is the Michael Knowles Show.

00:02:29.220 Welcome back to the show. I probably should have given a spoiler alert there

00:02:51.380 before. I thought it was so obvious though, that it won't, it won't affect anything. We'll go through

00:02:56.940 the debate very briefly. Then we will get to the question that is on everyone's mind,

00:03:01.340 the question that a reporter just asked Hunter Biden on Capitol Hill yesterday,

00:03:04.700 namely his crack preferences. First though, I watched the debate. I guess there were three debates.

00:03:12.260 There are four candidates left in the race. Trump, Vivek, Ron DeSantis, and Nikki Haley.

00:03:19.340 The people who qualified for the CNN debate are Chris Christie, who dropped out hours before,

00:03:26.540 Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, and Donald Trump. Trump decided not to show up. Vivek did not qualify for

00:03:32.160 the CNN debate. So Vivek said, okay, well, whatever. I'm going to go do a show with Tim Poole and Candace

00:03:37.080 Owens. And my show with them is probably going to get way better ratings than the debate. And

00:03:41.360 probably that will turn out to be true. It's certainly more interesting.

00:03:44.500 Then Trump went and did his own town hall because the entire rest of the field combined still doesn't

00:03:50.880 reach his poll numbers. So he says there's no reason for him to show up to one of these debates

00:03:55.420 because it's all risk. It's all downside. There's no potential upside, really. And that left Ron

00:04:00.480 DeSantis and Nikki Haley, who are now tied for number two in the race, but they're a distant number 0.86

00:04:05.380 too. This is way, way far behind. They're going to either have to throw Trump into prison. Well,

00:04:10.160 even that wouldn't be enough because he could still be on the ballot from prison like Eugene Debs,

00:04:13.660 the socialist candidate a hundred years ago. So they'd have to kill him. So short of Donald 0.98

00:04:18.400 Trump being killed or totally incapacitated, these guys don't really have a much of a shot in the

00:04:24.640 race, but they showed up anyway. Good on them. We've got the highlights. DeSantis,

00:04:30.980 the top line I think is that DeSantis performed very well on substance. I think he won the debate on

00:04:39.000 substance. I don't think he quite had the style that is persuasive to people. So I think that Nikki

00:04:46.580 Haley broadly won on style, though she had a few missteps there as well. But on the substance,

00:04:53.740 Ron DeSantis came locked and loaded. He hit Nikki Haley for being a squish. He said that she marched 1.00

00:04:59.780 with the BLMers, and if not literally, at least in rhetoric, that she bought into the left-wing 0.81

00:05:04.540 talking points of the last three, five years, and that conservatives can't trust her.

00:05:09.640 Nikki Haley and I have a disagreement on the BLM stuff too, because she tweeted during this period

00:05:15.100 of time that the death of George Floyd should be, quote, personal and painful for each and every

00:05:21.700 American. But people in Iowa had nothing to do with that, or Florida or South Carolina.

00:05:26.180 Now, she was virtue signaling to the left. She was accepting the narrative,

00:05:30.140 and she was trying to impress people who were never going to like us. I never bought in to

00:05:34.580 going after the police. We back the blue to the Hilton state of Florida. And we're about lower

00:05:39.740 crime as a result of that. Thank you. Governor Haley?

00:05:42.480 It's a good hit. It was a nice attack, especially in Iowa, which is a pretty conservative place.

00:05:46.780 DeSantis then keeps it up. He hits Haley on illegal immigration. He says that immigration is one of

00:05:52.340 the biggest issues for any conservative voter. And Nikki Haley cannot be trusted because she's 1.00

00:05:59.420 bankrolled by the people who support mass migration. Do not trust Nikki Haley with illegal immigration.

00:06:06.580 That's like having the Fox guard the hen house. She's on tape at the Aspen Institute. She'll say

00:06:11.460 she didn't say it. She was chastising conservatives saying it's disrespectful to illegal aliens to say

00:06:17.660 that they're criminals. They're violating the law. It's disrespectful when people come to this country 1.00

00:06:22.700 illegally and impose burdens on our communities and run drugs into this country. That's what's 1.00

00:06:27.620 disrespectful. She's weak on immigration. She's bankrolled by people who want open borders. And she 1.00

00:06:33.120 said there shouldn't be a limit on immigration. You should work with corporate CEOs. Thanks,

00:06:36.960 Governor. That is pale pastels. That is warmed over corporatism. Governor, thank you so much. So,

00:06:40.360 Governor Haley. You see what I'm talking about when I talk about the substance and the style.

00:06:45.380 If you just read a transcript of that attack, it was basically flawless. It was well-written.

00:06:53.380 But when DeSantis gave it, it sounds kind of whiny. It sounds almost whatever the male equivalent of

00:07:02.120 shrill is. That's not da-da-da-da-da-da. Can you da-da-da-da-da-da-da? Which is fine if he were

00:07:08.820 just having an academic debate even, or if he were talking into a microphone on a podcast or a radio show.

00:07:15.380 Or if he were communicating with a friend over a drink. But on the presidential debate stage,

00:07:21.800 it doesn't seem quite as persuasive. It doesn't seem quite as in control. And I think Nikki Haley

00:07:28.640 did a great job in that regard. Nikki Haley seems in control. Even when DeSantis has her dead to rights

00:07:36.060 on some issue, she kind of talks her way out of it. I think that helps to explain some of her rise in

00:07:41.420 the polls, at least in places like New Hampshire. She overplayed one rhetorical bit a lot last night.

00:07:47.380 Before the debate, her campaign had set up DeSantisLies.com. And it was a fine little campaign

00:07:54.400 trick. So she said, I'll go to DeSantis Lies and you'll see why what he just said isn't true.

00:07:58.320 But she overplayed it. I mean, she took the marketing advice to just constantly be getting 0.98

00:08:03.560 your brand out there way, way too far. And so virtually every answer she gave, she would just

00:08:08.900 say, go to DeSantisLies.com. But that really wasn't that persuasive because you want your candidate to

00:08:14.380 be quick on his or her feet and to be able to explain in the moment why what someone said isn't

00:08:19.600 true. So that was a little bit of a crutch. But overall on Substance, she still seemed more in control.

00:08:25.760 The one area where they both agreed was on Israel policy. So it became a debate of who is more

00:08:35.140 pro-Israel, who's more willing to give the Israeli government just a blank check to do whatever they

00:08:40.680 want. The irony of this is that while Israel is currently a somewhat controversial issue on the

00:08:49.340 right, the candidates on stage were totally in lockstep. And the only person who was even in that

00:08:56.740 auditorium who was somewhat shaky on Israel was Jake Tapper. Jake Tapper, who said, would you support

00:09:02.340 the mass removal of Palestinians from Gaza? And the candidates danced around the question, but they

00:09:09.060 seemed to suggest, yes, they would. The takeaway from this, I think, is that no matter what kind of

00:09:16.660 debates you hear breaking out in the commentariat or on Twitter or wherever, Israel's support remains

00:09:23.580 very, very strong among the GOP. If these candidates thought that the base were anti-Israel, they would

00:09:32.800 have said that during the debate last night. If these candidates believed that going a little weaker on

00:09:41.040 Israel would win them a single extra vote, they might have considered doing that. So it's true, the 0.99

00:09:46.080 left is now totally split on Israel. The base profoundly anti-Israel, the donor class and the

00:09:52.000 establishment much more pro-Israel. For the GOP, though, whatever the debates are in the commentariat

00:09:57.060 and online, that might have been the one area last night where the two of these people totally

00:10:02.920 agreed. And then they made their closing statements, which reminded us that we could have avoided the entire

00:10:08.020 debate because their candidacies come down to really basic pitches that they've been making

00:10:15.140 the whole time. Not necessarily policy. Now, when you want to talk about policy, you got to check out

00:11:56.240 We can't go through another nail-biter of an election. And if you look at the polls right

00:12:01.960 now, going against Joe Biden, in every one of those head-to-head polls, Ron doesn't beat Joe

00:12:08.500 Biden. Trump is head-to-head. On a good day, he might be up by two points. I defeat Biden by 17 points.

00:12:19.540 That's it. That's bigger than the presidency. That's House, that's Senate, that's governorships,

00:12:24.180 that's down the school board. That's a mandate to get our spending under control and get inflation 1.00

00:12:29.400 down. That's a mandate to get our kids reading again and go back to the basics in education. 0.97

00:12:34.500 That's a mandate to secure our borders with no more excuses. That's a mandate to bring law and

00:12:39.440 order back to our country. And that's a mandate for a strong America that we can be proud of. 0.52

00:12:44.840 We can do this. I know we can do this. If you will join with me in this movement,

00:12:49.760 if you join with me in this fight, I promise you our best days are to come.

00:12:56.060 Okay, simple enough pitch. She says, if you talk to the consultants and you look at the polls

00:13:00.400 in a general election, I trounce Joe Biden. No one else even comes close.

00:13:07.520 Now, I don't think that all the polls are wrong. I think it's easy enough to skew a poll or two,

00:13:12.980 especially if you're talking by five points, maybe 10 points, maybe 15 points.

00:13:16.700 I am persuaded by, say, the presidential nomination polls from real clear politics

00:13:24.040 because it's very difficult to skew all of the polls by 50 points. So I do think

00:13:28.300 that Trump is clearly the front runner here. But why might I be a little bit skeptical

00:13:32.700 of the polls that Nikki is citing here? Well, because Nikki doesn't have anywhere near

00:13:37.480 the same name recognition that someone like Donald Trump does. She has not been smeared nearly as much

00:13:43.820 as Trump has by the Democrats that would happen if she were to win the nomination. And so I think

00:13:49.620 you would see that 17 point margin of victory, even if it's real, that would diminish very,

00:13:56.340 very quickly the minute that the Democrats trained their guns on her and her name got out there.

00:14:00.800 Maybe she would still have a better shot of beating Biden than Trump, but I'm not so sure

00:14:05.000 because Nikki's pitch is, I'm the more moderate candidate. I'm the more centrist candidate.

00:14:09.900 I have appeal to more moderate people that the current conservative wing of the GOP can't win

00:14:16.360 over. I don't know that the history of presidential politics bears that out. Mitt Romney made that

00:14:22.640 pitch. Mitt Romney lost. John McCain made that pitch. John McCain lost. Now you could say, well,

00:14:27.560 they both lost to Barack Obama. He was a singular left-wing political talent, so that doesn't hold.

00:14:32.680 Okay, what about Bob Dole? Bob Dole was pretty moderate, much more moderate than other candidates

00:14:37.220 in the race, and he lost to Bill Clinton. Well, Bill Clinton was kind of moderate too. Okay,

00:14:41.080 George H.W. Bush. George H.W. Bush was pretty moderate. He also lost to Bill Clinton. Okay,

00:14:46.620 Ronald Reagan was the conservative. He ran as the conservative in that race. He won two terms.

00:14:51.480 What about before that? Jerry Ford, much more moderate. Jerry Ford is a one-termer. And you can

00:14:57.880 always point to other historical circumstances. You say, well, it's because he pardoned Nixon. Well,

00:15:01.760 it's because of this. Well, it's because of that. Yeah, maybe. I just don't believe

00:15:06.320 that the moderate pitch is what wins. On the left, too. Do you think Barack Obama ran as the

00:15:13.600 moderate? He didn't. Barack Obama is the dominant Democrat politician of our lifetime. So that's

00:15:21.760 her pitch. In any case, it might be persuasive to some people. Here's DeSantis' pitch.

00:15:26.120 We have an opportunity on Monday to really change the course of history. Donald Trump's running

00:15:30.340 for his issues. Nikki Haley's running for her donors' issues. I'm running for your issues.

00:15:35.420 Your family's issues. And solely to turn this country around. I'm the only one running that's

00:15:40.000 delivered on 100% of my promises. And I'm the only one running that has beaten the left time and time

00:15:45.680 again, from the teachers' unions to Fauci to the Democratic Party. We need to run under the banner

00:15:51.980 of bold colors that are putting the American people first. We can't run under a banner of pale pastels

00:15:58.260 of the warmed-over corporatism, the likes of which is practiced by Nikki Haley.

00:16:03.840 Okay, I like this pitch a lot. I like this image of we need vibrant colors, not the pale pastels

00:16:10.920 of warmed-over corporatism. I don't know that the line works that well. It certainly speaks to me,

00:16:15.080 though. I like that a lot. His initial attack is probably a pretty good framing for his campaign.

00:16:22.540 He says, Trump is running for his vindictive personal issues. Nikki is running to do the 0.98

00:16:27.720 bidding of her donors on Wall Street. And I'm running for you. I'm not sure that that's totally

00:16:32.040 fair, by the way. I think Donald Trump has, in this way, rightly been called a populist in that

00:16:38.180 he has spoken to issues that matter to the American people that have been ignored for 30 years of

00:16:44.380 Republican politics. He spoke to those. Kitchen table issues, okay? Meat and potatoes issues,

00:16:51.880 common sense kind of issues that were ignored by the elite class in the Beltway and on Wall Street

00:16:56.980 and in the commentariat and everywhere else. Trump spoke to that. So I think it's, but it's probably

00:17:02.620 a good framing. Same thing with the Nikki attack. She does the bidding of her donors. Yeah, sure. I'm

00:17:07.380 sure she does. I think all politicians basically do the bidding of their donors, but they attract 0.98

00:17:11.240 certain donors because they have certain views. So which is it, the chicken or the egg? DeSantis

00:17:16.200 is insinuating that she's a prostitute who will do whatever to the highest paying customer. But I'm 0.98

00:17:20.800 not sure of that. There are maybe not as many, but still a number of very powerful, wealthy,

00:17:27.800 right-wing donors, conservative, right-wing, rock-ribbed donors who aren't giving to Nikki Haley

00:17:34.320 because she's not offering them what they want. So a fine attack. It resonates for someone like me.

00:17:43.880 What does it really matter though? What does it really matter? It was a hard night, I think,

00:17:50.000 for the DeSantis campaign and less so for the Haley campaign because I don't think anyone really

00:17:57.520 believes that that debate is going to change anything. What's it going to change? Even if you're

00:18:02.180 the biggest Ron DeSantis fan ever, you're the biggest Nikki Haley fan, what's that debate going

00:18:06.400 to change? All of a sudden, all of a sudden, you're going to go from 17 months of polls, basically

00:18:11.960 totally even. The only thing that's changed is Trump's rivals have gone down a little bit and

00:18:17.700 Trump's, Trump personally has gone up a little bit. All of a sudden, it's just going to totally flip

00:18:22.060 all of the polls everywhere in the country. I just don't really buy that. If I were on the DeSantis

00:18:28.620 campaign, I would be disappointed because the guy's a good candidate in other years. He is a great

00:18:35.040 governor. He's far more right-wing than a lot of politicians we've seen in recent years. But

00:18:39.760 the campaign made a miscalculation and they ran against a guy whose popularity they underestimated,

00:18:47.380 the loyalty of whose base they underestimated, and who's running effectively as an incumbent,

00:18:51.500 even though he's not technically an incumbent, but practically he is, and a popular incumbent

00:18:57.440 president at that. So Trump doesn't even show up. He goes and does a town hall separately with

00:19:02.860 Bret Baier and Martha McCallum. And just to twist the knife in the other campaigns, he floats a little

00:19:10.420 bit of juicy tea. Who would be in the running for a vice president? Well, I can't tell you that,

00:19:15.960 really. I mean, I know who it's going to be. Give us a hint. I'll give you, we'll do another show

00:19:20.340 sometime. What about any of the people who you've run against? Would you be open to mending fences

00:19:25.080 with any of them? Oh, sure. I will. I will. I've already started like Christy better.

00:19:33.640 Christy for vice president? I don't see it. I don't see it. That would be an upset. Christy

00:19:39.160 for vice president. Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to announce. He's just having fun at this point.

00:19:46.220 Has Donald Trump picked his VP? I don't know. He says he has, but has he? I don't know. Or is he

00:19:55.540 just saying that because he knows that if he says that, that comment is going to get more play in the

00:20:03.220 media than anything that was said at the official GOP primary debate, which certainly is the case.

00:20:11.060 What's the viral clip from the GOP primary debate between Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley?

00:20:16.500 There really isn't one, but a lot of people are talking about, oh, who is he going to pick for

00:20:20.960 VP? And then he's having fun with it. Is it going to be, you know, I kind of like Christy. Already I

00:20:26.200 like him more because he dropped out that loser. I hate him. No, no, I like him. What do you think? 1.00

00:20:30.040 Should I pick him for VP? You think that's going to work? VP Chris. I don't know. I don't know about

00:20:34.740 that. He's just, he's just up there joking around because he's that confident that he's going to get

00:20:41.600 the nomination and who knows something crazy could happen. Maybe DeSantis pulls an upset in Iowa.

00:20:47.120 Could happen. Even then, when was the last time Iowa picked the GOP nominee? George W. Bush 20 years ago.

00:20:56.880 And then what? Maybe Nikki Haley pulls an upset in New Hampshire. Maybe, probably not, but maybe she

00:21:04.660 does. And then what? And then what? It's just such an uphill battle. Now, speaking of Trump being the

00:21:13.400 center of attention, the Democrat Congress lady Pramila Jayapal is really honing in on the attack

00:21:22.620 for Donald Trump. Assuming he's going to be the nominee, they're going to say this guy

00:21:26.800 is an insurrectionist. He's a threat to the country, but they can't even say it with a straight face.

00:21:32.080 Well, I appreciate the passion from my friend across the aisle and the outrage. I think we're

00:21:37.240 all outraged about many things, but if we're going to talk about outrageous things that have happened

00:21:42.380 or things that have never happened, let's talk about the fact that President Trump incited an 0.99

00:21:48.040 erection. Maybe that too. Yeah, you could talk about that too, I guess. Maybe we should talk 0.99

00:21:56.480 about that too. The president incited an insurrection. Maybe we should talk about the fact

00:22:01.500 that the president, the former president was impeached twice. Maybe we should talk about the

00:22:07.680 fact that the former president was convicted on 91 felony counts. She can't stop laughing,

00:22:15.040 even as she's saying this. And let's talk. No, no. Come on. Come on, Pramila, get it together.

00:22:22.300 Even, you know, he, he, he, he was indicted on all these. Trump's erection. They can't keep a 1.00

00:22:33.660 straight face. And it's not just because of the Freudian slip there. They can't keep a straight

00:22:37.580 face because it's preposterous. Because nobody thinks that Donald Trump is Jefferson Davis.

00:22:43.300 Nobody thinks that he's going to lead a coup d'etat and overthrow the government. And

00:22:49.320 everyone knows it's ridiculous. He's the tabloid real estate guy from the 80s. 0.91

00:22:56.700 He's the host of the really popular network TV show, The Apprentice. He's the guy who has steaks

00:23:04.900 and vodka and board games. He's not, he's Trump. Okay. He's the guy who was already president

00:23:08.900 and left office peacefully and transferred. It's just none of it. No one believes it. They say it,

00:23:16.420 but the libs say a lot of things they don't believe. They say that a man is a woman. Okay.

00:23:19.240 They, they, they, and they do their best to keep a straight face when it comes to Trump.

00:23:23.880 It's very difficult to keep a straight face. Now, one way they've tried to get Trump is they try to

00:23:29.500 audit his companies. And, uh, when you are facing tax problems, you got to check out

00:24:48.820 and this is great. Hunter Biden first showed up to the Capitol some weeks ago, but he wouldn't go in.

00:24:56.020 He didn't want to actually testify. He just held a big press conference outside. This time he's gone

00:24:59.400 in. He still won't go to the closed door testimony that he's required to do, but he shows up and he

00:25:04.860 says he'll, he'll speak publicly. And the Republicans go after him in kind of strange ways.

00:25:12.840 Chairman Comer, um, first of all, my first question is who brought Hunter Biden to be here

00:25:19.020 today? That's my first question. Um, second question, you are the epitome of white privilege

00:25:25.060 coming into the oversight committee, spitting in our face, ignoring a congressional subpoena to be 0.97

00:25:30.420 deposed. What are you afraid of? You have no balls to come up here. And Mr. Chairman, point of

00:25:36.340 inquiry. Mr. Chairman, um, if the gentle, if the gentle lady wants to hear from Hunter

00:25:42.580 Biden, we can hear from him right now, Mr. Chairman. Let's take a vote and hear from

00:25:45.800 Hunter Biden. What are you afraid of? Hold on, hold on, hold on. Order, order. Are women 1.00

00:25:51.600 allowed to speak in here or no? Are women allowed to speak in here or no? Did you keep interrupting 0.98

00:25:55.740 me? I'll interrupt the chairman. I don't know that he's a lady. 1.00

00:25:58.500 I think that, uh, that Hunter Biden should be arrested right here, right now and go straight

00:26:04.400 to jail. Our nation is founded on the rule of law. This is so depressing. It's so depressing

00:26:12.940 because this is the Republican. This is the conservative. And she's got this opportunity

00:26:19.440 to really go after Hunter Biden, the bag man for the Biden family, that this guy who is the tip of

00:26:25.160 the spear of Biden corruption. And the way she does it is by regurgitating a bunch of far left 1.00

00:26:32.200 talking points. What are her attacks on Hunter Biden? Are her attacks that he's a derelict who

00:26:39.740 behaves in a, in a vicious way, who's faced no consequences for his personal crimes and that

00:26:46.340 he is the representative of the major political crimes of his family, his father who peddled American 0.99

00:26:53.060 influence all around the world and profited from it. Is that it? No, her attack is you're a white man.

00:26:58.800 You white man, you have white privilege. Hunter Biden does not have white privilege. 0.59

00:27:03.800 If Hunter Biden had white privilege, then when he applied to college, he would have been

00:27:07.780 discriminated against by the admissions board. He would have lost, effectively lost points on his SAT

00:27:12.160 score because of the color of his skin. If Hunter Biden had white privilege, he would have been

00:27:20.220 excoriated. He would have been punished more harshly for transgressions. He hasn't been punished at all.

00:27:27.840 He would have been regularly reviled and insulted, not only as a matter of, of law, but even as a matter

00:27:37.280 of social norms. Because white people are the only people in the country that you are permitted legally 0.91

00:27:45.900 to discriminate against and also encouraged socially to discriminate against. Okay. White privilege. Are

00:27:53.000 you kidding me? This is what we, this is what we get for electing Republicans and conservatives. We get

00:27:58.020 to hear invectives about the evil white man from Congress. Oh, great. With Republicans like this, 0.99

00:28:05.020 who needs Democrats? And then when they rightly tell her, yo lady, give it a rest. She says, 0.99

00:28:10.420 are women not allowed to talk? So then she, she flips, she, she stops pushing the race hustling 1.00

00:28:16.320 phrases of the left and she switches to the feminist phrases of the left. I'm a woman and the men aren't

00:28:23.500 letting me speak. Vote for Republicans so you can get more girl boss, feminist talking points in Congress. 1.00

00:28:29.140 Oh, oh, it's so, it's so pathetic. It's awful. It's awful. Ah, what a, what a, what a black pill 1.00

00:28:42.660 as the kids call it. This is this. And why is this happening? Because liberalism is the water in which

00:28:52.000 we little fish swim. Liberalism is the air that we breathe. It's because we become so habituated

00:28:58.200 to the language of the left that we internalize it. And it doesn't just lodge itself in some corner

00:29:04.660 of our brain. It actually forms our consciousness in the way that we perceive the world. It's

00:29:09.400 because if you can control words, you can control minds. As I point out in my number one bestselling

00:29:14.360 book, Speechless Controlling Words, Controlling Words, it's available now for, for order, even a couple

00:29:18.460 of years after it was published. I think this is proof positive. It's just so, of all the things to

00:29:25.180 attack Hunter Biden for. Being a white guy is pretty low on the list. And of all the reasons 0.70

00:29:31.600 to complain about the way Congress operates, to say it's because we don't let women speak enough. 1.00

00:29:37.420 Oh, good grief, lady. It's just awful. Now, Marjorie Taylor Greene had a better line of questioning

00:29:45.260 against Hunter Biden, so much so that he stormed out of the Capitol.

00:29:49.840 Chair, recognize Ms. Greene from Georgia for five minutes. 0.74

00:29:54.260 Thank you, Mr. Chairman. Excuse me, Hunter. Apparently, you're afraid of my words.

00:30:00.120 Whoa! 0.71

00:30:04.380 I'd like to reclaim my time, Mr. Chairman.

00:30:07.920 I think it's clear and obvious for everyone watching this hearing today that Hunter Biden

00:30:22.360 is terrified of strong, conservative Republican women because he can't even face my words as

00:30:29.480 I was about to speak to him. What a coward. 1.00

00:30:32.820 Even Marjorie, I don't want to knock her too much for this. Even Marjorie starts to take 0.99

00:30:36.360 on these feminist talking points. And she is far and away the best Republican in this

00:30:42.720 exchange. But even she, even you got Nancy Mace, who does the white men are evil and I'm 0.94

00:30:51.280 a girl boss and women aren't her and this is a patriarchy. And she even, she uses naughty 1.00

00:30:55.540 language like, you know, I'm not a regular Congress lady. I'm a cool Congress lady. I'm

00:31:00.000 going to use naughty, vulgar language that if a seventh grader used it in a classroom,

00:31:04.180 he'd be yelled at. But me, I'm cool. So I'm going to break all norms of civility. Yeah,

00:31:09.320 I'm cool. Doesn't that make me cool? I'm like cool, like a liberal, but I'm a conservative,

00:31:13.040 but I'm actually a liberal. And Marjorie Taylor Greene doesn't really engage in a lot of that.

00:31:18.200 But even there at the end, he's afraid of strong women. No, he's afraid of going to prison and

00:31:21.820 getting caught for being the bag man for the family and peddling American influence and making

00:31:25.140 tens of millions of dollars. That's what he's afraid of. He's not afraid of women. That man,

00:31:29.180 Hunter Biden might be afraid of a lot of stuff. He ain't afraid of women. Have you looked at the

00:31:32.880 tapes? Okay, we've seen the videotapes from the laptop. It's just so, ah, it's just so divorced

00:31:37.880 from reality. And who does this work on? Who is this supposed to work on? Nobody really believes

00:31:43.020 this stuff. We all march along and many people will spout off the talking points of white privilege

00:31:50.440 and feminism and patriarchy. But it's just because it's been drilled into our heads since we were in

00:31:55.920 kindergarten. It doesn't actually stir men's souls or anything like that. It certainly doesn't

00:32:00.180 persuade people on the right. Stop using the liberals' language. I'm actually lauding Marjorie

00:32:06.840 Taylor Greene here. I think it was a good exchange, but guys, cut it out with the feminist, liberal, 1.00

00:32:13.200 white privilege, blah, blah, blah, clap trap. Just drop it. Good grief.

00:32:17.120 The best exchange with Hunter was far and away, not with any of the members of Congress. It was with

00:32:25.000 a reporter who asked the question that was on all of our minds. Let me make a statement, okay?

00:32:30.140 How do you normally smoke, Mr. Biden?

00:32:34.940 This is how Hunter Biden should be dealt with on Capitol Hill. Okay? Hunter Biden is showing up to

00:32:42.300 Capitol Hill not to answer the legitimate questions of Congress, not to face consequences for his crimes

00:32:49.980 that have been caught on tape for years and years and years, some of which are not just petty personal

00:32:56.240 sexual crimes and drug crimes, but actually pretty serious political crimes. He is there to try to win

00:33:02.140 public sympathy. He is there to make the case that he's actually a victim of a witch hunt. He's there

00:33:09.480 to move the polls. And so knowing that, understanding that that's what this is really about, the way to

00:33:16.900 deal with Hunter Biden is to give as good as he does, okay? The way to deal with Hunter Biden is say,

00:33:24.360 hey, man, what's your favorite kind of crack? Huh? Oh, you think that's an unfair question? Then come over

00:33:29.460 here and answer my fair questions. Hey, we're all just jokers here today, right? No one's actually

00:33:34.640 going to be undertaking a serious congressional proceeding. So yeah, what's your favorite kind

00:33:40.420 of hooker, Hunter? What's your favorite form of currency? Are you a big fan? Do you like the 0.99

00:33:48.140 Chinese currency or the Ukrainian currency more? Because you made millions of both. So what do you

00:33:53.020 like? What's your favorite? Oh, okay, you didn't? Well, then let's go into your financial

00:33:57.900 disclosures. Let's go into all the shell corporations. Let's go into your business

00:34:03.460 associates meeting with your father when he was vice president of the United States. Let's go

00:34:07.700 into your father being on 20 plus phone calls with the businessmen you were shaking down all

00:34:11.900 around the world. Oh, no, we're not going to do that? Okay, well, how long do you like the crack

00:34:17.760 pipes to be? Do you like them to be two inches or four inches? Love it. Absolutely great.

00:34:21.640 Hilarious exchange. And it precisely the degree of seriousness that that proceeding merits.

00:34:28.700 Now, speaking of legislative bodies, big news for international relations. The San Francisco

00:34:35.400 Board of Supervisors has just voted eight to three in favor of a ceasefire resolution for Gaza.

00:34:43.120 Following this vote, a bunch of pro-Palestine white ladies cheered and danced and chanted in the 0.90

00:34:56.760 auditorium. These middle-aged lesbians are wearing Palestinian keffias. 1.00

00:35:12.760 It's so perfect. I just, I love the whole thing. It's so great. If Hamas had its druthers, 0.98

00:35:19.540 it would nuke the entire city of San Francisco. And there are these people, free, free Palestine.

00:35:26.820 Yeah, that's right, Mohammed. We're with you. We're with you. But that's not even the most ridiculous

00:35:33.900 part. The most ridiculous part is that the San Francisco Board of Supervisors thinks it has 0.89

00:35:40.620 any say over a millennia-long ethnic conflict on the other side of the world. When is the Hamas 0.80

00:35:52.860 Board of Supervisors going to weigh in on the needle exchange programs in San Francisco?

00:35:58.000 When can we expect that vote to take place?

00:36:03.640 There are problems in San Francisco. The people of San Francisco elect their representatives

00:36:09.460 ostensibly to solve the problems of the city of San Francisco. And they won't solve any of those

00:36:15.540 problems. The problems are all getting much, much worse. And people are dying. And they're not able

00:36:19.000 to find housing. And the whole city is completely fallen to pot. It used to be one of the great cities

00:36:23.420 in America. Now it is just a sewer. And the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, rather than do

00:36:29.700 the difficult work of actually running their city and trying to make things better and just

00:36:34.380 demonstrating basic competence of public servants, they actually can't do that. So they spend their

00:36:42.080 time in academic debates over what should happen in conflicts that they don't understand at all in

00:36:49.540 places that they probably couldn't even point to on a map. It's perfect. It just explains,

00:36:55.080 it highlights so much the state of American politics. We are all just living in a fantasy world,

00:37:02.640 while the real world around us that we totally neglect falls to pot. Now there is a big shift

00:37:09.880 happening in foreign affairs. You might actually call it an insurrection. But in this case, it's an

00:37:15.820 insurrection that the liberals all around the world are cheering on, which we will get to in one second

00:37:23.020 first, though. It's no question. We're living in that clown world, man. The characters in power are

00:37:27.900 straight out of a carnival. Basic notions of right and wrong, justice, truth, even reality itself have

00:37:33.680 been thrown out the window. How are we to make sense of it? Join Jonathan Peugeot in the new four-part

00:37:37.960 series, End of the World, as he explains why the world as we know it is ending, how to survive it,

00:37:42.220 and how we can plant the seeds for the next world today. Jonathan Peugeot is an iconographer,

00:37:47.020 public speaker, YouTuber, and good friend of Jordan Peterson. You might remember Jonathan from

00:37:51.000 Jordan's series on Exodus. Now he's back and will draw upon his deep knowledge of Christian tradition,

00:37:56.180 stories, mythology, and history to explain the contradictions in our society, wacky phenomena,

00:38:01.300 and how this pattern will reach its conclusion. In End of the World, you will receive a thoughtful

00:38:05.080 framework to make sense of these confusing times and a roadmap to lead us out of the clown world

00:38:09.480 and to restore order. All episodes are available now exclusively on Daily Wire Plus. If you have

00:38:18.640 carnies. Let's see beyond the end. Watch End of the World today. My favorite comment yesterday is from

00:38:23.940 Jim Lubke, who says, every single person who got more of a punishment than a year of probation without

00:38:29.380 limits of travel needs to make their appeal now to get their sentence reduced. That's true.

00:38:34.400 The horn hat guy from January 6th was thrown in the clink in, in solitary, I believe for part of it

00:38:40.400 for 41 months, years on end. And yet Ray Epps, who appears to have instigated the invasion of the

00:38:52.360 Capitol, he gets nothing. A year probation never sees the inside of a jail cell. That's weird. I think

00:38:59.640 all those guys should appeal. They should sue. They should, at the very least, point out

00:39:05.180 the absolute farce of the prosecution of Ray Epps, who's definitely not a Fed. I'm sure three people

00:39:15.100 in America still believe. Turning to insurrections on other parts of the world, there is a coup d'etat

00:39:22.800 occurring right now in Poland. Here's the headline. This is out of Politico, the European edition of

00:39:28.960 Politico. Police, Polish police arrest members of parliament as Tusk versus Duda rule of law

00:39:36.600 battle heats up. So this is a rule of law battle, according to Politico, between the prime minister

00:39:42.480 and the president. Poland's new government faces a huge struggle to unravel eight years of rule by

00:39:48.540 the nationalist PIS party. So there was a right-wing government in Poland, and then the left-wing

00:39:54.400 government takes power. And what do they do? Immediately what they do is they disband the

00:40:00.300 public media. They suppress the media. This, if it were to have happened under a right-wing

00:40:06.660 government, you would hear calls for UN peacekeepers to show up. You would hear that this was the total

00:40:13.000 dismantling of democracy in the country. In fact, that's what you did hear when Hungarian prime 0.96

00:40:18.060 minister, Viktor Orban, instituted relatively modest reforms of the press in Hungary. Happens in Poland.

00:40:25.600 They just disband the entire public media. And what do the liberal press do? Do they say,

00:40:30.320 this is a threat to democracy? No, you know what? They cheer it. They say, oh, this is so good. This

00:40:34.180 is a restoration of democracy. Then the piece goes on. Now you've got cops invading the presidential

00:40:41.520 palace to arrest members of parliament. That's bad. That's a coup d'etat, isn't it?

00:40:46.240 Well, not according to Politico. In a dramatic escalation of Poland's battle to restore rule of

00:40:51.680 law, the police entered the country's presidential palace on Tuesday evening and took two members of

00:40:57.660 parliament into custody who had been hiding under the protection of President Andrzej Duda after being

00:41:03.360 sentenced to prison for terms for abuses of power. This is the battle to restore rule of law. And the way

00:41:12.860 that we're going to restore rule of law is we're going to ban the press and we're going to invade

00:41:16.900 the presidential palace and we're going to arrest members of parliament. That's how we're going to,

00:41:21.140 does that sound like restoring rule of law? It doesn't to me. It sounds like totally upending

00:41:26.640 the rule of law. But this is because one man's insurrectionist is another man's defender of

00:41:34.060 democracy. You know that phrase the libs always say, they say one man's freedom fighter

00:41:38.040 is another man's terrorist. And they say this to blur the distinction between terrorists and

00:41:45.140 freedom fighters to say, well, from, from our perspective, you know, these jihadis in the

00:41:49.760 Middle East, they're terrorists, but from their perspective, they're freedom fighters. But as with

00:41:56.060 the libs always trying to blur distinctions, distinctions between men and women, distinctions

00:42:00.260 between one country and another country, it's just totally bogus because terrorism has a meaning.

00:42:04.780 Terrorism is defined in large part by whether or not you target civilians to achieve political

00:42:12.660 ends. That's a really basic definition of terrorism. And you can measure that. You can say,

00:42:17.760 are people targeting civilians to achieve political ends? Okay, well, that would be an act of terrorism.

00:42:21.420 Same here. Is a government contradicting what the people want, what the people express? Is the

00:42:32.160 government upending established norms and traditions and even laws? If so, that's not very democratic,

00:42:42.620 is it? You know, in Colorado, they say that to defend democracy, we need to prevent the people

00:42:49.220 from voting for Donald Trump, who's the single most popular candidate in the presidential race.

00:42:52.860 That just can't be true. It's only true if you redefine democracy to be deprived of all of its

00:43:00.440 meaning. It's a reminder. I'm not just here complaining about what's going on in Eastern

00:43:08.860 Europe without effect. I know that whatever we say about this is not going to affect what happens

00:43:13.740 and the way that there is a coup d'etat in Poland. But it's just a reminder. You're going to hear a lot

00:43:20.480 about insurrections and coup d'etat and blah, blah, blah for the next 12 months. You got to try to

00:43:27.480 pull yourself out of that bubble. You got to try to pull yourself out of the fish tank, you know,

00:43:32.960 the water in which we little fishies are swimming. You've got to try to get some perspective here

00:43:37.040 and recognize that the media are not neutral, that the system of laws in our civil government,

00:43:44.560 they're not eternal. They're changing. They're always kind of changing. Jurisprudence,

00:43:49.160 the way that we interpret the law, that's changing a lot too. The language that we use,

00:43:53.380 it's not totally objective and it's not eternal. It's constantly being manipulated to scramble up

00:44:01.180 our brains and to change the way that we perceive the world. And when they huff and puff and scream

00:44:07.080 and they say, oh, anyone who supports the conservative candidate, they're just upending

00:44:12.480 democracy. I might, listen, I might not be a Republican, but I want there to be a strong

00:44:17.640 Republican party in this country. Just not that kind of Republican, not the kind of Republican.

00:44:20.860 It's just bogus. It's just manipulative nonsense. And we've got to be able to see that and stand firm. 0.99

00:44:29.060 And if we're at the point right now where the Republican, the conservative members of Congress

00:44:33.640 are just blindly belching up left-wing talking points, they don't, they have no idea even what

00:44:40.520 they're saying. And it's going to be very, very difficult to gain that kind of perspective and to

00:44:44.140 fight back. Speaking of our rights, the All Souls Choir has an important song for your religious

00:44:55.780 edification and your political edification, borrowing words from Stacey Abrams, Melissa Dunphy,

00:45:02.000 and Ida B. Wells coming to a leftist church community near you. Take it away. 0.61

00:45:09.200 All rights depend on whether we can afford.

00:45:26.840 All rights depend on how and when our families arise.

00:45:33.840 All rights depend on whether we can afford.

00:45:39.780 All rights depend on the lawyers we can afford.

00:45:44.140 All rights depend on whether the ID matches our gender.

00:45:51.640 All rights depend on the lawyers we can afford.

00:45:56.140 hold on the last one's true your rights actually do depend on whether or not you've been convicted

00:46:19.880 of certain crimes and if you have then you do actually forfeit some rights yeah

00:46:23.720 and if your id will generally match your gender something would have had to go seriously wrong

00:46:30.640 for you know your big husky hank shows up to the id place and they list you as a woman on your id that 0.71

00:46:37.960 all rights depend this is being sung by the all souls choir because there is always a relation

00:46:49.280 between church and state there's always a relation between the political order and religion it's an

00:46:54.520 old it's an older clip this clip is from i think a year ago maybe even a little bit more than a year

00:46:58.920 ago expect more of this expect forget about this being sung in some room and going viral on twitter

00:47:04.720 they're going to be couldn't you just see the military parades going by in the new rainbow regime

00:47:09.940 where you've got the the dictator some kind of androgynous dictator just standing there upright

00:47:18.160 making some weirdo salute and then just rainbow tanks go by and you all right steep and

00:47:22.760 because all politics ultimately is theological and uh this this kind of propaganda seeps in 0.81

00:47:33.320 everywhere you know we we make fun of the north korean crazy communist regime for brainwashing 0.98

00:47:42.200 people and the people behaving in this totally bizarre way conservative members of congress 0.96

00:47:49.240 screaming furious about white privilege and girl bosses not being able to speak enough

00:47:57.160 i wonder how how's the brainwashing going here has the has the regime change going here maybe maybe a

00:48:07.200 coup d'etat really has taken place i don't think it was the horn hat guy that led it though
