00:00:26.120 31st, 2025. TD. Ready for you. Democrats' advantage with black voters has now cratered
00:00:33.000 to its lowest point since 1960, according to new analysis from the chief data reporter at the
00:00:38.300 Financial Times. This analysis backs up similar findings in February by Gallup polling, which
00:00:44.000 found that Democrats' lead over Republicans among black voters has shrunk 20 points in just three
00:00:51.400 years. And according to a New York Times-Siena College poll last month, if the election were
00:00:58.000 held today, nearly one in four black voters would vote for Donald Trump. Now, I have generally been
00:01:05.520 skeptical of claims that black voters, 90% of whom have been liberal Democrats for decades,
00:01:11.660 are suddenly going to become conservative Republicans overnight. I've heard this almost every year of my
00:01:17.080 life, and it's never happened. But for the first time in my life, the signs really are there.
00:01:24.600 And to top it all off, the cherry on top of this electoral Sunday for Republicans,
00:01:32.980 the Democrats are about to ban menthol cigarettes, which means, frankly, as far as I'm concerned,
00:01:38.800 it's time to start planning the Trump inauguration. I'm Michael Knowles. This is the Michael Knowles Show.
00:01:47.080 Welcome back to the show. People are turning away from the sauce. I'm talking about young people
00:02:11.340 in particular, Zoomers. They don't like booze. Non-alcoholic drinks are all the rage, which sounds
00:02:16.480 nice enough. I guess it's good not to be a drunkard all the time. But there's a dark undercurrent to
00:02:22.580 the move away from booze. We'll get to that in a moment. First, though, I want to talk about
00:02:25.960 cigarettes. I'm only half joking. I don't even know if I'm half joking about the menthol thing
00:02:31.280 being terrible for Democrats among black voters. Black people love menthol cigarettes. A lot of people
00:02:37.860 like menthol cigarettes. I've never been a cigarette guy. I've loved cigars since I was 15.
00:02:43.080 Obviously, I have a cigar company called Mayflower Cigars, based on a cigar that I got,
00:02:48.340 actually, when I was a teenager. And that's a story for another time. But on the rare occasions
00:02:52.980 when I've had a cigarette, I've had a menthol cigarette every now and again. And I get it.
00:02:59.520 I get why. I guess I'm not quite sure why black people in particular love it, but it's just a fact.
00:03:04.780 There's nothing racist about it. It's just data, man. A little over one in five black men
00:03:14.780 smoke cigarettes. The number is a little bit lower for black people overall because black women are
00:03:20.280 less likely to smoke cigarettes than black men. I think the total number for black people is around
00:03:24.380 17% of black people smoke cigarettes. 80% of black smokers smoke menthols. That is a crazy number.
00:03:34.520 White people don't really like menthols. Asians, Hispanics don't really. But black people love
00:03:38.900 them. And this became a big political issue because in 2009, Barack Obama, the first black president,
00:03:44.600 I guess. Some people call Bill Clinton the first black president. But Obama,
00:03:48.100 certainly physically the first black president, he comes in and he says that he's going to ban
00:03:52.960 flavored cigarettes and tobacco products. And the reason for this is they're marketed to kids.
00:03:59.180 So at least that was the argument from the FDA. So they're going to go in and they ban all of them
00:04:03.700 except for menthols. And I'm not joking. The reason that Obama wouldn't ban the menthols is because it
00:04:10.200 would have hurt him too much with the black vote. So that was the one exception. The most addictive,
00:04:14.600 most popular flavored cigarette. That's the one they allowed to stick around. That was in 2009.
00:04:19.160 Then, fast forward, the FDA finally comes out and says in the early Biden administration,
00:04:26.280 okay, we're going to finally ban the menthols now. There have been delays. There have been
00:04:30.460 delays. There's now a lawsuit. An anti-smoking group is suing to make the FDA do it. And the
00:04:35.260 Biden administration is moving forward. Now, if this goes through, it's going to really hurt
00:04:41.400 convenience stores. Banning menthol cigarettes would reduce non-tobacco sundry sales by $72,000
00:04:48.780 a year for the average convenience store and tobacco sales by $160,000 a year for the average
00:04:54.340 convenience store. That means that convenience stores overall are going to lose $2.16 billion
00:04:59.020 in sales. But that's not even why. It's a kind of interesting regulatory issue, especially because
00:05:05.720 it's such a popular product. But what interests me most about this political issue is the whole issue
00:05:13.780 revolves around black people and allegations of racism. That's the whole politics of this regulation
00:05:23.360 from day one has been about how to frame it as not anti-black and as pro-black.
00:05:30.980 So in 2009, the pro-menthol forces came out and they said, hey, this is racism. You're banning
00:05:39.680 the cigarettes that black people most enjoy. And that carried the day. Now the argument is,
00:05:47.440 well, actually, these specific cigarettes are killing black people. And so it's racist to keep
00:05:52.540 them on the market. It's part of a broader campaign to kill black people. But regardless of the cigs and
00:05:57.300 regardless of this particular regulation, it shows you where American politics is, you have to be
00:06:02.420 able to frame every single issue as a matter of the oppression Olympics, specifically with regard to the
00:06:10.120 left's favored groups and probably most especially with regard to black people. This comes at a pivotal
00:06:18.120 time when, as far as we can tell from all of the surveys, black people do seem to be in some measure
00:06:26.160 moving away from the Democrat party. Whether that materializes in November remains to be seen.
00:06:31.940 Speaking of racial issues, McKinsey, some time ago, the big consulting firm, came out with a study
00:06:39.620 that all the libs glommed onto. And the study showed that DEI, diversity, equity, and inclusion policies,
00:06:46.920 are actually great for business. Now, the moment this study came out, I knew it was totally bogus.
00:06:56.620 And the way that I knew, and maybe you knew that it was totally bogus, is that if the DEI policies were
00:07:03.840 really, really great for business, then the government wouldn't have to cram it down everyone's
00:07:08.660 throats. This is the same way I knew that the so-called gender wage gap was bogus. If companies
00:07:14.740 could really get the same work out of one group of people paying them 25% less than they pay the
00:07:21.400 other group of people, they would only hire the first group of people. The businesses would only
00:07:24.860 ever hire women. But obviously, the women weren't only being paid 75 cents for the same work as men.
00:07:30.300 That's preposterous. There aren't enough misogynists in the world, certainly not on the boards of
00:07:36.700 corporations, to unnecessarily raise their labor costs by such a margin. Well, same thing with DEI.
00:07:43.460 If the DEI policies were so great, they would just be implemented naturally as the companies
00:07:50.380 tried to increase their efficiency and save money. Nevertheless, the McKinsey study, because it's got
00:07:57.360 this big liberal establishment stamp of approval on it from one of the big consulting shops, it's adopted
00:08:05.900 everywhere, including at the Pentagon. Okay, even our national security is relying on this woke nonsense
00:08:14.220 that everybody just intuitively knows is BS. So that the Department of Defense under Joe Biden leans on
00:08:21.080 this nonsense McKinsey study as the justification to install affirmative action in our military.
00:08:28.280 What did the studies say? The studies said that the implementation of DEI led to increased
00:08:37.480 profitability for corporations. Specifically, the companies became more profitable as their
00:08:43.600 executive levels became more diverse. You know, the thing that was holding back Ford Motor Company is
00:08:51.140 they didn't have enough transvestites in the ranks. But the moment that you hire more of the people of
00:08:55.860 the favored minority groups, then the profits are going to go up, right? No. There's a study from
00:09:01.300 Econ Journal Watch that found that the studies were deeply, deeply flawed. And in fact, they weren't
00:09:06.300 even measuring the things that they said they were measuring. They would measure a company's
00:09:09.480 profitability leading up to the point at which the DEI policies were initiated. So that the growth in
00:09:16.960 profits leading up to that point obviously had nothing to do with the DEI policies, which came in
00:09:21.160 at the end, among other problems with the studies. But it doesn't really matter because the notion
00:09:30.700 that DEI is really good for companies, it's really good for profitability, it's just a smart business
00:09:35.880 decision. That wasn't the conclusion of any study. That was the premise. That was the starting
00:09:43.800 assumption. Okay. And just as liberalism does to so many other aspects of society, it just flips
00:09:52.660 everything on its head. So McKinsey obviously didn't begin with a thesis that it then tested
00:09:59.080 to arrive at a conclusion. It began with the conclusion and it worked its way back from there.
00:10:05.660 The conclusion that one has to reach is that diversity, equity, and inclusion is good because
00:10:11.580 that's the state religion. That's the new euphemism for the state religion, which is a radical form
00:10:17.580 of liberalism, sometimes called in its uniquely American manifestation political correctness.
00:10:22.920 Now we call it wokeism. It's all the same thing. That's the state religion. And its conclusions are
00:10:30.120 assumed. If we question those conclusions, we are going to have to question so much of our political
00:10:37.620 order. So this study gets debunked. The Pentagon's not going to change the policy. Corporations aren't
00:10:43.460 going to change the policy. The jurists and the legislators are not going to change the law.
00:10:48.960 We will live. We will live as one nation under God or one nation under DEI. It's even kind of funny
00:10:55.640 that DEI is the Latin word for gods. It's the genitive form of the Latin word for God, singular. It would be
00:11:02.280 the singular genitive form in Latin for the language and grammar nerds out there. And I don't think it's
00:11:11.240 any mere coincidence. There's no such thing as a mere coincidence in a world governed by providence.
00:11:15.960 We've substituted one nation under the true God for one nation under this false god. And it's the
00:11:21.100 false god of liberalism, which ultimately is a worship of the self and of the individual irrational
00:11:26.300 will. There's so much more to say. First, though, text Knowles to 98 98 98. As our national debt continues

00:12:55.060 and inclusion, I have just seen the saddest and most infuriating video that I have ever come across
00:13:01.680 in my entire life, and it was going viral yesterday. It is a video of an egg donor making the,
00:13:11.100 making her annual video message or FaceTime call to her daughter. This is the daughter,
00:13:20.620 obviously, that was produced with this woman's egg, but she sold her egg to two homosexual men
00:13:26.040 who purchased the egg and then purchased a child and then intentionally created that child to deprive
00:13:32.040 that child of her mother. And then the mother, once a year, makes a little call. And here's what
00:13:38.220 the daughter says at the end of it. I wanted to wish you a happy birthday, and so does Malik.
00:13:44.720 He says happy birthday also. I hope you had a wonderful fourth birthday. I really love looking
00:13:51.360 at all your pictures on Instagram, and you're growing up to be such a beautiful and creative
00:13:55.800 sparkling light. And I know your daddies love you so much. So happy birthday, baby girl,
00:14:01.340 and I hope you have a wonderful day.
00:14:05.760 I'm going to play.
00:14:07.740 What did you say?
00:14:10.680 I love you.
00:14:11.660 Okay, you can say that to her. What do you want to say?
00:14:15.580 I love you, baby. Thank you.
00:14:20.060 We blurred out the girl's face, because she's undergone enough abuse at the hands of these psychopaths.
00:14:25.340 It's intellectually, tamping down one's emotion. One can remove oneself and look at this as a matter
00:14:37.840 of reason and conclude that obviously this is extremely evil, and the entire industry of surrogacy,
00:14:44.840 purchasing children, allowing two men in particular or two women to create a child with the intention
00:14:54.380 of depriving that child of his mother or father. This is obviously very, very evil, and should be
00:15:00.800 illegal, of course. Selling one's eggs, selling one's sperm, this obviously should be illegal. But
00:15:06.800 if one has any degree of intellectual removed from this, one can say, okay, I understand.
00:15:14.860 They know not what, forgive them, Lord, they know not what they do. They don't understand.
00:15:19.700 They are blinded by their own selfish desires. They sincerely believe that men and women are not
00:15:25.160 different. They maybe sincerely believe that a child doesn't need his or her mommy or daddy.
00:15:30.060 They just don't know. They just don't know. I think that's probably true. And so one could extend
00:15:35.140 a little bit of grace there. That would be the reaction when you don't watch that video.
00:15:42.600 That would be the reaction when you just kind of think about it in the abstract, and you recognize
00:15:46.380 that people are very confused, and we have a very fallen world and culture, and they just don't
00:15:52.080 know the grave evil that they're committing. But then you watch the video. And it's a little more
00:16:00.060 difficult to extend that kind of grace because you hear the little girl saying, I love you, mommy. I
00:16:05.560 love you, mommy. But mommy doesn't love her. And mommy sold her to two homosexuals who intentionally
00:16:11.520 bought her, created her, to deprive her of one of the most important connections that a human being
00:16:17.480 can ever possibly have, which is the connection between a mother and a baby. And the degree of
00:16:21.700 trauma that that is inflicting on the little child is not only common sense and self-evident,
00:16:28.080 but you can then hear it in the girl's voice. And when you see that, you conclude that every single
00:16:35.500 adult involved in this should be imprisoned for life at least. That's just the natural reaction
00:16:41.340 that one has to this grave, grave child abuse that our culture tolerates now for the last five minutes
00:16:48.320 and in fact celebrates. And so it's important sometimes, I think. We want a culture and a
00:16:56.480 political order that is based on reason, okay? We don't want to be just blown away on passions.
00:17:02.340 But we're human beings and pulling at the heartstrings sometimes helps us to see the reality
00:17:08.860 of a situation. This is gravely, gravely evil. Everyone involved, the egg donor, the people
00:17:19.180 purchasing the child, the people intentionally depriving the child of a natural mother and
00:17:23.020 father, they are all committing, whether they know it or not, they probably don't know it,
00:17:26.780 most of them. They are committing a grave, grave evil. And if it has already happened,
00:17:32.680 grave evils happen all the time. People kill 800,000 babies a year in this country,
00:17:36.400 to use just the one example of abortion. If it's already happened, we do our best to just move on
00:17:43.220 and make the best of a bad situation. But this process, the surrogacy industry, the purchasing of
00:17:50.020 children on the open market and the abuse of children to satisfy the selfish and irrational desires of
00:17:55.280 adults and to satisfy the fantasies and absurdities of even politicians who redefine natural institutions,
00:18:01.800 including the most basic political structure, that's only growing. This problem only stands to
00:18:06.940 get much, much worse. There are already a lot of victims of it, but it's going to get much, much worse.
00:18:11.740 And so it would seem to me perfectly reasonable. And the sort of thing that any, certainly any
00:18:17.720 Republican or conservative politician, but really any politician who isn't just like an outright
00:18:22.540 Satanist, who isn't just like the most low down, dirty, rotten, completely out of his mind politician
00:18:30.060 there is, everyone should recognize this evil and oppose it. And it's just got to stop. And it's just got to
00:18:37.440 stop immediately. And that's that. I've seen, you cover the news, you see so many videos of war and
00:18:48.400 killings and this, and then they're all, all very, very disturbing. That's the most disturbing video
00:18:52.240 I've ever seen in my whole life. This woman pops in once a year. Hey, hey, daughter that I sold
00:19:02.000 to a couple of selfish homosexuals. Happy birthday. I love you, mommy. Yep. Sorry. Hang up.
00:19:09.760 That's not, that's not just one example. That's not, that's not, that's not, not one unrepresentative
00:19:18.220 example. That's a major public policy that the president of the United States is actively
00:19:23.060 encouraging right now. And that many Republicans are fine with too. Absolutely revolting.
00:19:30.680 Speaking of the difference between men and women on a, on a lighter note, there's a girl,
00:19:37.760 a young woman who's gone viral, a little bit of a palate cleanser after so upsetting a video.
00:19:45.560 There's a girl who's gone viral for expressing her frustration that her boyfriend does not,
00:19:56.880 just doesn't get her. And we live in a culture now that, that denies the difference between men and
00:20:02.260 women. So we're all basically as confused as she is, but, but her observation of the difference
00:20:10.520 between men and women, I find beautifully delightful. Girls, tell me if I'm right about this, but
00:20:15.240 whenever I talk about something to my boyfriend and I have something to rant about and something
00:20:20.740 just did not go well, all I want to hear is like, yes, you did well. Good job. They wronged you.
00:20:26.200 They were wrong. Like, I just want my height, you know, woman, height man. But every single time I
00:20:31.420 tell my boyfriend, he's like, this is the logical way to solve this. And here's a solution. And I'm
00:20:37.420 like, no, I don't want you to fix my problems. I just want you to tell me that I did good.
00:20:43.260 Like, hello.
00:20:44.980 I don't know if she's doing a parody or not. If it's a parody though, it's very close to the truth
00:20:49.540 because this is how every single woman thinks and has for all of history. And of course,
00:20:58.500 vive la différence. Some people look at that and they say, you women, why are you different from
00:21:03.020 men? I hate you women for me. I like that women are different from men. I don't, you know, I enjoy
00:21:08.700 women. Nevertheless though, if sweet little Elisa were to come to me and say, Mac, I don't want you
00:21:14.600 to solve my problem. I just want you to, you know, agree with me, whatever. I'd say, well,
00:21:19.220 I'm not the right guy for that because you came to me, your husband, and I'm going to respond like
00:21:22.920 a man would. So you can go to a girlfriend. That's what women could go to. If women want that,
00:21:29.240 it was just to be affirmed and told how great they are and how everyone else is wrong. And then
00:21:34.260 that happens. That happens to every single woman. Then they should go to their girlfriends. It's
00:21:38.460 like, yeah, oh yeah, he's terrible. Yeah, she's bad. I know. Can you be, you've never done anything
00:21:42.280 wrong. You totally blah, blah, blah, whatever. That's like girl talk, you know, but that's not guy talk.
00:21:46.640 And so the only real confusion, I know every woman has been frustrated for all of history because
00:21:53.300 they, the women go to the men, they want this kind of reaction, but then the men won't give
00:22:00.080 them this reaction. They get kind of frustrated. That's true. It's just a category error. The
00:22:05.000 category error is you thought you were going to get a woman reaction from a man. And these days,
00:22:10.440 you know, I guess that's not surprising, but you're, but you're not. And women, they can get a lot of
00:22:15.220 great stuff from men, but they're not going to get that because men and women, it turns
00:22:19.840 out are different. There's so much more to say. First though, go to hallow.com slash Knowles,

00:23:31.520 1155, who says, they want to limit travel. That is why they don't have a problem. Oh, this is in
00:23:37.400 response to Biden trying to kill the gas car and promote electric cars. So he sends Mayor Pete
00:23:41.980 out there to talk about how great electric cars are. That's why they don't have a problem with the
00:23:46.040 short distance that electric cars will go between charges. Gas cars allow too much freedom.
00:23:53.260 Yeah, I think that is part of it. It's a lot easier. Electricity is a lot easier to control.
00:23:57.640 I think it's not just a bunch of people in the back room, you know, like,
00:24:00.540 mwahaha cooking up a conspiracy. But that is part of it, why just even intuitively the libs prefer
00:24:07.720 the electric cars. The gas cars do provide a degree of freedom that the electric cars never
00:24:14.160 really could. Now, speaking of boys and girls again, and then we can move on from the transvestites
00:24:22.240 and we'll get back to anti-black racism. There is a trans activist, apparently,
00:24:27.820 fella by the name of Hunter Schaefer, who is a guy who pretends to be a woman. And I guess he's an
00:24:35.380 actor. I don't know what roles he's been in, but apparently he's a Hollywood guy. And he just came
00:24:41.380 out and he said that he is sick and tired of playing trans roles. You see, this guy, just because he's a
00:24:50.620 dude who happens to look kind of like a chick, because he's intentionally made himself look kind
00:24:55.360 of like a chick, he gets cast in roles of guys who think that they're chicks. Isn't that crazy?
00:25:01.420 So he says, it has not just happened naturally by any means. If I let it happen, it would still be
00:25:07.220 giving transsexual actresses before every article ever. It would still be giving. That's a kind of
00:25:13.540 Zoomer idiom. It would still be giving, but it's not happening naturally. I'm being
00:25:19.300 typecast. Okay, I'm being pigeonholed. As soon as I say it, it gets blasted off. It took a while
00:25:26.380 to learn that. And it also took a while to learn that I don't want to be reduced to that. And I find
00:25:31.800 it ultimately demeaning to me and what I want to do, especially after high school. I was sick of
00:25:36.380 talking about it. I worked so hard to get where I am, past these really hard points in my transition.
00:25:42.820 And now I just want to be a girl and finally move on. I don't want to be the trans guy. I don't want
00:25:47.720 to be an activist. I don't want to be cast as a man who thinks he's a woman. I have transitioned.
00:25:53.040 I want to be a girl. I've gotten offered tons of trans roles, he says, and I just don't want to do
00:25:58.840 it. I don't want to talk about it. This is really funny because we've just spent the last three or
00:26:05.200 four years in the Hollywood discourse, hearing about how if you're a straight guy, you should not
00:26:10.500 be cast in a gay role. That if you're a cisgender, you should not be cast in a trans role. This is
00:26:18.320 very wrong. If you're in any way a white guy, you should not be cast in any kind of other racial
00:26:24.840 role. It's wrong. We've been told for the last three years in Hollywood, you should only play the
00:26:31.780 roles that perfectly suit your actual self, which of course is the opposite of acting. Acting is where
00:26:37.440 you pretend to be somebody else. The actors would say you live truthfully within imaginary
00:26:43.980 circumstances, but the end result is the same. You are portraying someone that you are not.
00:26:49.620 And we've been told you can't do that anymore. Now acting is the opposite of that because the
00:26:54.840 libs invert every single thing. So they say, yeah, now acting is reality. And reality actually is
00:27:00.900 acting now because we all go around pretending to be people we're not. White people pretend to be
00:27:04.940 black people and Rachel Dolezal and men pretend to be women like, well, Dylan Mulvaney or any number
00:27:12.040 of them like this person. But then the people in the favored victim groups, they say, actually,
00:27:19.260 hold on, I want the opposite of this again. So I want to go back to the first one.
00:27:22.580 I don't want to, not only do I not want to be typecast, not only do I want to play the thing
00:27:26.520 that I actually am, that is to say a man who thinks he's a woman, I explicitly don't want to play
00:27:31.100 that. I want to play the opposite of that. But if the straight guy wants to play a gay guy,
00:27:38.040 that is not allowed. And if the cisgender wants to play the transgender, that's not allowed.
00:27:43.440 And if a white guy wants to do anything in this world, he's not allowed to do that either.
00:27:47.780 But I get to do whatever I want. And that's really all it, that's, that is all it comes down
00:27:51.200 to. All it comes down to is there's no principle, there's no set of rules. It is a preference with
00:28:02.040 regard to categories of people. If you are trans identifying, if you are gay, if you are any kind
00:28:10.720 of racial minority, if you are a woman, you do whatever you want. And if you're a straight white
00:28:16.760 man who knows he's a man, you, you can't really do anything unless the libs give you permission to
00:28:22.720 do that. It comes down to much more of a power politics. The notion that politics really is not
00:28:28.280 about reason or a set of rules, but simply the distinction between friend and enemy. And the
00:28:34.100 disfavored group, the enemy group are the, you know, the straight white guys who, who know that
00:28:38.780 there are other categories. Christians, you know, are obviously disfavored in the popular culture and
00:28:43.520 other groups as well. Uh, but, but that's all it comes down to. Mr. Schaefer, Hunter Schaefer gets
00:28:50.160 to do whatever he wants. And you don't, you don't get to do anything you want. Now, speaking of
00:28:54.980 activism, this one raised my eyebrow last night. It's just kind of making the rounds now, even though
00:29:02.440 this began last fall, the university of Maryland has a new academic department or, or a subsection of
00:29:13.460 a department. The, um, the university of Maryland now offers a minor in anti-black racism, which
00:29:22.820 it's in the Africana studies department. And so it, I, I imagine I'm certain it's some big lib thing
00:29:32.300 about how white people are evil and black people are great. And but it's just the kind of the way
00:29:36.100 it sounds to me is say, what did you study in school? Oh, well, I got my major in English and
00:29:43.280 I minored in anti-black racism. Yeah. We'd go out there with our tiki torches. Oh yeah. We had a lot
00:29:49.280 of practical exams. We'd go burn across somewhere. So you say, hold on, whoa, wait, what? Why would you
00:29:53.320 study that? Don't, that's not the kind of thing I want to learn. I don't, I don't want to, I don't
00:29:59.980 want to learn cruelty to any group of people. You stay. Yeah. I trained real hard in anti-black
00:30:04.920 racism first, you know, for anti-black racism, one-on-one, they made me shave my head. And then
00:30:09.880 for anti-black racism, number two, they made me, you know, burn across. And then for anti, whoa, man,
00:30:15.480 that's not, that's not good. But, but then you look into it and you say, obviously this is some
00:30:20.720 unfortunate, uh, phrasing from, you know, liberal academics who probably are functionally illiterate
00:30:26.960 anyway. So I'm not surprised they misuse the English language. Uh, but then you think, okay,
00:30:30.320 well, what do they really teach? And what they really teach is anti-white racism. That's what
00:30:34.620 this all comes down to. All of the, the, uh, racial grievance politics comes down not to promoting
00:30:41.600 even, not even to focusing on the virtues of one race compared to another race. It's to focus on,
00:30:48.820 on the vice of the opposite race, that white supremacy is everywhere and we need to abolish
00:30:55.000 whiteness. And I mean, these are just terms that are, that are regularly used in, in faculty lounges
00:30:59.900 and in classrooms all across the country, not even just the university of Maryland.
00:31:04.080 It, it's ironic, but I guess it just, it does play into our theme here, which is that the libs
00:31:09.740 invert, they totally flip everything on their head. And so they have a minor in anti-black racism when
00:31:14.820 in fact, what you're really being trained in is anti-white racism. No surprise. And that's not a UMD
00:31:20.720 thing explicitly or exclusively. That is a true in the, it's not even just colleges. It's boardrooms.
00:31:26.800 It's the government. It's, is your home's title still in your name with one forged document. Scammers

00:32:00.980 of young people, new report out that I had a little bit of a hard time believing, at least
00:32:07.280 at first, young people are not drinking anymore. Millennials and zoomers in particular, they're
00:32:14.220 given up booze. A headline from CNN, no longer drinking. There are options for you. Few little
00:32:22.160 pieces from the article. The number of people choosing to opt out of alcohol, whether temporarily
00:32:26.140 or permanently has grown. And with it, the normalization of being alcohol free restaurants
00:32:31.160 have expanded mocktail lists. Sober bars are on the rise and non-alcoholic bottle shops are
00:32:36.400 popping up in most major cities. These aren't thoughtless alcohol replacements with a level of
00:32:40.920 care and craft, often with a price point matching their alcoholic counterparts. These substitutions
00:32:46.300 are much more than a Shirley Temple. First off, I like a good Shirley Temple. I've liked a Shirley
00:32:50.820 Temple since I was five years old. I don't know. Let's not knock the Shirley Temples. They're very
00:32:55.300 tasty. But second of all, they're not even really talking about, you know, people who really struggle
00:33:00.960 with drinking. I don't even think this is really about alcoholics. I have friends who are alcoholics who
00:33:05.840 go to AA meetings and who really can't have a single sip or they'll go off the edge. I know a
00:33:12.120 number of people like that. Norm Macdonald once had an insightful observation about this.
00:33:19.860 It's kind of how I feel about it. I like wine. I like scotch. I like cognac and port and things.
00:33:26.000 But I don't, I'm not really that drawn to it. I'll leave half my drink on the table sometimes if I'm
00:33:33.160 done. My alcoholic friends think that's completely insane. They can't even begin to fathom that.
00:33:38.440 But Norm Macdonald had this observation. He said, hey, you know, my friend Adam Egett,
00:33:42.260 he's an alcoholic. He, that means he really, really likes alcohol. Me, I don't really like alcohol.
00:33:49.400 I'll have it, take it, or I'll leave it. So because Adam Egett really, really likes alcohol,
00:33:56.640 he can never have any of it. But because I don't really like alcohol, I can have as much as I want.
00:34:02.060 Life's funny that way. And it is kind of funny that way. But that's not what they're talking
00:34:05.660 about here. It's really good. People who have a struggle with being addiction to alcohol,
00:34:10.040 very, very good for them to lay off. It's good that there are new mocktails and things like that
00:34:13.720 for them. But that's not really what's going on here. This is people who will just drink a little
00:34:18.120 bit less. They'll have one drink maybe, but then they'll switch over to some weird kind of fruity
00:34:24.180 drink or whatever. And they'll all night, it's a little different. So then I looked into it. And here's the
00:34:29.380 catch to these mostly hipster, kind of Brooklynite, non-alcoholic bars. It's just people doing a
00:34:37.840 bunch of pot. What they say is some spirits replace the alcohol with adaptogens. Things like reishi
00:34:45.440 mushrooms or ashwagandha, whatever that is. It's used to reduce stress or increase energy. So whatever
00:34:51.920 those are, I'm assuming those are not magic mushrooms. They're just a little stress reliever.
00:34:55.760 Clearly, there's some drug effect to it. And then others contain varying doses of THC. So there it
00:35:01.560 is. There's the Haitian oregano. Eric Flavin owns Marigold, a non-alcoholic bottle shop in
00:35:05.920 Minneapolis, Minnesota, that also sells legal cannabis. Marigold serves a diverse clientele.
00:35:12.000 The cannabis products appeal to both these young and old as it can help with sleep, while others
00:35:17.920 prefer the adaptogenic drinks and non-alcoholic drinks. Okay, so what it really is, the real story
00:35:22.020 here is not, people are getting healthier by reducing the amount they drink, which could be
00:35:26.680 perfectly good. It's that people are just switching from booze to become potheads. And the potheads say
00:35:34.000 that that's really good. I don't think that's really good. I'm not saying booze is great, and if you have
00:35:38.600 a problem with it, you should definitely cool it with the booze. But booze makes you a little more
00:35:44.580 sociable. If you're going to pick a drug and you don't have a real dependency or problem with it,
00:35:49.160 booze makes you a little more sociable, a little more talkative. It's kind of a social lubricant,
00:35:53.740 as we say. Pot makes you quiet and less funny, though you think things are much funnier, but you
00:36:00.680 become less funny and less sociable and quieter. And sometimes you go completely nuts and lose your
00:36:06.620 drive. And I've seen it happen to a lot of my pothead friends. That's not a great, they put this
00:36:11.880 nice patina of how wonderful, how beautiful, we're getting healthy, we're getting fit. No, we're just
00:36:17.080 switching from being drunks to being potheads. And if I had to choose one, I'd rather not be
00:36:21.660 either. But if I had to choose one drug for our civil, I'd probably stick with the one that's
00:36:25.920 longstanding in our civilization, that it helps us be more sociable. We live in a very anti-social
00:36:31.040 age where sociopathy is on the rise, social alienation and isolation is on the rise.
00:36:35.500 How about the one that gets people talking to each other, not the one that gets you eating Cheetos
00:36:38.860 watching cartoons alone? The Daily Wire, speaking of new shows to watch, The Daily Wire decided to give

00:37:23.040 At 30,000 feet, my lips exploded. Why would I pay writ to somebody who had sex with my sister?
00:37:28.100 A dog bit my finger. He's allergic like the grass. If he didn't want me to drive the car,
00:37:31.860 he would have took the key. I had it with him.
00:37:33.060 As I even told you, you're the worst negotiator that's ever lived. I've never been more annoyed
00:37:39.100 than I am in this moment.
00:37:48.180 Not even close. That does it. Please get the hell out of my court.
00:37:51.600 I can't wait. I can't wait. I've only seen little bits and pieces. I've been so excited
00:38:05.540 about this ever since I heard about it. We've all kept tight lips. It's going to be magnificent.

00:38:58.060 Morning, Mr. Knowles. This is actually a nice one for Tee Hee Tuesday. What's the difference between
00:39:05.540 Riyadh and Abu Dhabi? Well, in Riyadh, they do not like the Flintstones, but Abu Dhabi,
00:39:16.260 Abu Dhabi-doo. Thank you. Love your show. Bye-bye.
00:39:23.780 It's my favorite mailbag question I've ever received. That's really great. I like that there
00:39:29.740 was no question to it, but I'm going to use that. What's the difference between Riyadh
00:39:32.900 and Abu Dhabi? In Riyadh, they don't like the Flintstones, but Abu Dhabi-doo.
00:39:37.520 Okay. All right. Get it together, Michael. Next question.
00:39:43.540 Good morning, Michael. This is Arun. I'm sure you've noticed that in the past several months,
00:39:48.740 the so-called dissident right has called on an end to American support for the state of Israel
00:39:52.940 on the basis that Jews are not God's chosen people. Now, as a Hindu, I also do not believe
00:39:58.560 that Jews are God's chosen people, but this is more a corollary to the fact that Hinduism
00:40:02.940 does not recognize the idea of divine covenants, and therefore the very notion of God choosing any
00:40:08.180 people is foreign to us. I do, however, have an affinity for Jews due to their religion's often
00:40:13.940 unknown and unappreciated theological similarities to my own, as well as to the generally pro-Western
00:40:20.660 bias of Jewish culture. And, of course, there are Professor Jacob's many epic and based takedowns
00:40:27.300 of Hamas simps on Twitter. Therefore, I'd like to construct a rationale for American support of the
00:40:32.580 state of Israel that is not predicated on any biblically defined divine right to Judea and
00:40:38.400 Samaria. You have mentioned that, per your theology, God's chosen people consists of Jewish and Gentile
00:40:44.140 believers in Jesus, i.e. Christians. Thus, I would observe that you find yourself in a rare agreement
00:40:49.460 with us Hindus on the matter of Israel. Could you suggest an argument for American support of Israel
00:40:55.000 that does not depend on any claim of divine right? Do you think that such an argument might even
00:41:00.920 appeal to the dissident right? Thank you, as always, for your wisdom.
00:41:06.080 Absolutely, Arun, as always. Just a really brilliant question. Yes, you're absolutely right that I,
00:41:16.840 and I've been arguing this for some months now, I don't think that the theological and even some of
00:41:24.000 the historical arguments for the state of Israel are going to be very persuasive. And I seem to have
00:41:28.900 been proven right, actually, if you look at public opinion surveys and you look at statements even of
00:41:33.280 the Israeli government observing that America is diminishing its support for Israel. It's because
00:41:38.980 the arguments that have traditionally propped it up are not all that persuasive, to a lot of people,
00:41:44.280 at least. So, I totally agree with you. Whatever incipient, I guess it's mostly on the left,
00:41:50.680 but there's a little bit on the right, a real antipathy for a certain ancient nomadic tribe.
00:41:54.760 I don't share that. I quite like the Jews, actually. I don't wake up every morning and
00:42:01.080 just, you know, pull my hair out and say, the Jews, oh, those Jews, dastardly Jews. But I think,
00:42:06.740 in part, one way that you could make a stronger argument for the state of Israel and against this
00:42:13.920 kind of nascent anti-Jewish activism is to acknowledge the, you know, the kind of silliness
00:42:25.060 of the supposed revelations of the people who are feeling this way. You know, these people, they say,
00:42:31.060 they say, oh my goodness, you know what I just learned? You know what I just found out? I just
00:42:34.340 found out that Jews and Christians are different. Yes, that's true. And do you know, you know what I
00:42:39.840 just learned? I just found this out going down the internet. Apparently, Jews and Christians
00:42:42.860 have different beliefs. Yes, that's true. They do, in fact, have. And do you know,
00:42:47.800 they might even occasionally have different political interests. I suppose that is true.
00:42:52.240 Yes, different groups sometimes do have different political interests. And you know what else I learned
00:42:55.820 somewhere in the corners of the internet? I found out that the state of Israel is a different country
00:43:01.660 from America. Uh-huh. Yep. And it, sometimes nations have different interests and those interests
00:43:07.940 contradict. Even if they ally on certain things, they contradict each other on other. Yeah, yes,
00:43:12.060 that's true. It's all true, man. Yeah, sure. Of course. Yeah. Jews and Christians believe different
00:43:17.240 things. There's some overlap, but there's some distinctions. And sometimes there are different
00:43:22.080 interests. And Israel and the United States sometimes overlap in their interests. Sometimes they have
00:43:25.920 different interests. Yeah, that's all true. You think that isn't true for the Palestine
00:43:31.280 liberation organization? You think that isn't true? Believe it or not, Christians and Muslims also
00:43:36.760 believe different things. And there's some overlap, and there are some things that we believe in
00:43:39.640 common. And there are some political interests that we share and some that we don't share. And
00:43:43.880 there's also a history there as well. One thing I would point out is say, yeah, at the most basic
00:43:51.060 level, some of your observations about distinctions between the state of Israel and the United States
00:43:54.320 are obviously true. But, you know, we have been in a state of regular war with the
00:44:01.040 Islamic world for like 1,400 years, right? You know that? No knock on Muslims. I have a great deal
00:44:06.740 of respect for my Muslim friends. But there is a civilizational conflict there as well. Let's not
00:44:11.600 forget that the Muslim world invaded the Levant, first of all, in the 7th century. It's not like
00:44:16.600 the Middle East was always Arab. That was an invasion that occurred after the founding of Islam.
00:44:21.720 And then they nearly invaded Paris. They almost took over all of Europe at the Battle of Poitiers in
00:44:26.280 732. And then the Battle of Lepanto, once again, the Muslim world almost conquered all of Europe.
00:44:30.880 And then at the Battle of Vienna, the largest cavalry charge in history, the Muslim world also
00:44:35.460 almost conquered Europe. Now we're just inviting them to conquer Europe. But in any case, you know,
00:44:40.260 I think that would probably tamp down some of the bizarre enthusiasm for the Palestine liberation
00:44:46.140 movement. I have a great deal of sympathy for the people who are living in, you know, what was once
00:44:50.200 known as mandatory Palestine. And I agree that one has to adhere by just war. And I agree that the
00:44:56.540 American interest in any war in the Middle East is going to be different than that of the direct
00:45:00.280 belligerence in the region. But like, how about a little perspective here, folks? Don't you,
00:45:04.620 these people just swing from one side to the other. So what would be an argument for the state of
00:45:08.980 Israel? You know, if I would throw out some of the theological, you know, and historical and any
00:45:15.580 other kind of dubious claim and just say, hey, they conquered it. They conquered it. They fought
00:45:19.760 a war and they conquered it. And maybe you don't approve of that, but it did happen with a lot of
00:45:25.380 international support. And so what's going to happen now? Just as I think the ethnic cleansing
00:45:30.440 of Gaza and the Palestinian territories would be morally unacceptable, and I think the international
00:45:35.040 community agrees, so too, I think we would agree that the river to the sea wipe out all the Jews is
00:45:40.360 also obviously morally unacceptable, certainly to the United States. I think most of the
00:45:45.400 international community and from just a broader ethical perspective. So, you know, that would
00:45:52.920 be it. I know I have the least popular view on the conflict of all, which is, it seems to me that
00:45:58.100 what is in America's interest and what is the most ethically defensible is something kind of akin to a
00:46:02.680 status quo because the rational interest for both belligerents and the conflict would be the ethnic
00:46:07.520 cleansing of the other. Yeah, I know that that's going to not make anybody happy, but, you know,
00:46:13.180 guys, have a little perspective here. These people, it's like they woke up for the first time and they
00:46:17.620 realize that different groups are different. They sometimes have different interests. Yeah,
00:46:21.180 you don't say. Now what? Now let's get to step two, guys. You know, they don't really,
00:46:26.720 they don't quite do that all the time. So anyway, Arun, that would be my advice. Next question.
00:46:30.980 Hi there, Michael. My name's Katie. I hope this message finds you well.
00:46:34.820 My husband has endured a considerable amount of abuse at the hands of his mom over the past 45 years.
00:46:40.240 In recent years, he has been able to accept the situation and really limits his interactions with
00:46:45.580 her, lest he or her family be caught in the line of fire. He has really found peace with this decision
00:46:52.520 as he spent many years attempting to work within boundaries to no avail. So my question, in your
00:47:00.040 view, what are the responsibilities of an adult child of a toxic, mentally ill, elderly parent?
00:47:06.720 Specifically, the responsibilities of an adult child who requires no contact in order to preserve
00:47:12.520 his and his family's well-being. I look forward to your response. I hope you answer. And I also just
00:47:18.940 wanted to say thank you. Your show has helped me so much on my spiritual journey and I am better off
00:47:24.320 for it. Thanks again. Bye. Very kind. Thank you so much. I've seen this happen. So I know it happens.
00:47:31.180 Not my experience. I've really just had marvelous relationships with the women in my life and the
00:47:36.960 men in my life, but my great relationship with my mother and my grandmothers, my wife, the mother of
00:47:42.480 my children. So I don't have a direct experience of this. And so it's a little hard for me to totally
00:47:50.000 relate, but I have seen it happen somewhat up close. And what I would recommend is remembering
00:47:56.980 that you do have, one has certain obligations to one's parents to, uh, respect one's mother and
00:48:04.080 father. And, uh, we have obligations to, you know, make sure that they are cared for in their
00:48:10.600 dotage to make sure that they're, you know, not, um, going hungry or in a dangerous situation or
00:48:16.680 anything like that. We, we have, um, but, but even beyond that, you will, if you just kind of
00:48:23.960 disconnect from your mother or your father, it will harm you. You will regret it someday.
00:48:30.540 You will regret when, when your loved ones die, especially if it's a mother, someone like
00:48:35.100 that, every harsh word you ever said, you will regret. And so even just from the perspective
00:48:40.800 of self-interest, I would, I would say your husband ought to do whatever he can. He has a
00:48:44.880 responsibility, you know, most closely to his family, you and the kids, but he ought to, he
00:48:51.680 ought to basically push himself just before the limit that he can with his mother and to fulfill
00:48:57.040 his rightful obligations to her to make sure she's, you know, not, not thrown out onto the street in
00:49:01.600 her old age. Um, but, but some, but I would go a little further, even emotionally as well.
00:49:08.360 And, and that is for your mother-in-law's good just as much as it is for his good. Cause he,
00:49:13.840 he will regret it. If he does, he will be haunted if he treats his mother in a way that seems
00:49:19.760 unjust or uncaring. We've got more mailbag to get to. We've got more voicemail bag,
00:49:26.920 written mail bag, and it's fake headline Friday. The rest of the show continues now.
