The Michael Knowles Show - Ep. 1527 - 109 Shot & 19 Killed In Chicago, The Mayor Blames A Dead White Guy

00:00:00.000 Over 100 people were shot in Chicago last weekend, and when the mayor of the Windy City was asked to

00:00:05.580 explain the shocking and constant bloodshed in his streets, he placed the blame squarely at the feet

00:00:11.620 of Richard Nixon. Black death has been unfortunately accepted in this country for a very long time.

00:00:20.980 We had a chance 60 years ago to get at the root causes, and people mocked President Johnson,

00:00:26.820 and we ended up with Richard Nixon. I'm going to work hard every day to transform this city.

00:00:34.920 That's what it takes to build a better, stronger, safer Chicago and everybody to step up.

00:00:39.220 Richard Nixon left the White House 50 years ago. Since he left office, there have been four

00:00:44.880 Democrat presidents across six presidential terms, and the city of Chicago has been governed by

00:00:50.820 Democrats for 93 years. But the president's state of Chicago is not, according to the current mayor,

00:00:56.820 the fault of any of them. It is the fault of a Republican from California who died 30 years ago.

00:01:03.500 But no one really believes that, probably including the mayor of Chicago, who simply doesn't want to

00:01:08.840 take responsibility for his particular failures and for the failures of his party. It's just the

00:01:14.740 best argument they've got. We hear the same nonsense from Democrats at the national level.

00:01:19.380 All their failures are really Trump's fault, or Bush's fault, or Reagan's fault, or now apparently

00:01:26.500 Richard Nixon's fault. Next, it will be Chester Arthur's fault, and then perhaps Abraham Lincoln's

00:01:31.780 fault. But it isn't, and people know it isn't. And if these are the best arguments that Democrats are

00:01:40.160 making, led by a president who probably knew Abraham Lincoln personally, the people will not

00:01:45.000 be persuaded otherwise between now and November. I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:01:49.080 Big tech is gunning for the daily wire. It's not just me telling you that because I have some sense

00:02:15.280 of what's going on in the company. That is from a report that came out of the House Judiciary

00:02:20.760 Committee. There's going to be a huge hearing on this subject today. It's very important to the left

00:02:27.060 that places like our outlet here, the Daily Wire, are shut down or severely hampered from spreading

00:02:33.720 our message and communicating with people up through the 2024 election. And Republican members of

00:02:39.600 Congress, specifically the Judiciary Committee, are doing a great job today to shed some light on that.

00:02:45.120 We will do that in just a moment. First, though, speaking of shedding light, you need to get your

00:04:35.300 Not the corpse of Richard Nixon, which is what they're dragging out to try to explain away their

00:04:40.900 failures in the city of Chicago. The Democrats realize they have got nothing, especially at the

00:04:46.500 national level. They can't run on Joe Biden's three years in office. They can't run on any of

00:04:52.980 their particular policy positions right now. They can't even really run against Trump because

00:04:58.060 everybody knows Trump. Everyone's known Trump for 40 years, but everyone's known Trump even in

00:05:02.840 politics because he was already the president and things were a lot better under him. So they're

00:05:07.840 looking at the polls. They see Biden is senile. They see he flopped in the debate. They see his

00:05:12.280 numbers, which were already bad, continue to decline. So they want him out, but he doesn't

00:05:16.920 want to get out. So they keep trying to push him out. He's not taking the bait now. They are leaking

00:05:21.900 that Joe Biden has Parkinson's. That's the insinuation. A Parkinson's doctor visited the White

00:05:28.220 House some 10 or 12 times over the course of 20 months. Now on MSNBC, we've got breaking news.

00:05:37.160 A Parkinson's expert goes on to say that it is clear as day Joe Biden has the disease.

00:05:45.360 Have you noticed anything that gives you a red flag as a doctor?

00:05:49.060 Oh yeah, I see him 20 times a day in clinic. I mean, it's ironic because he has just this classic

00:05:53.820 features of neurodegeneration. I mean, word finding difficulties and that's not, oh, I couldn't find

00:05:58.280 the word. That's from degeneration of the word retrieval area. He's also overcome stuttering

00:06:02.600 though. Could that, could that be part of that too? No, this is not a palatal issue or a speech

00:06:06.900 discrepancy, which is very different from a limino dysfunction, actual word retrieval, where you pick

00:06:11.600 a similar question or talk around the issue. Plus the rigidity, um, monotone voice.

00:06:17.120 Wait, go back to that, the rigidity. What do you mean?

00:06:18.960 Rigidity, loss of arm swing, standing up lordotically. You notice when he turns,

00:06:23.400 it's kind of end block turning. It's not a quick turn. Um, so that's one of the hallmarks of

00:06:28.600 Parkinson's is rigidity and bradykinesia, slow movement. And he has that hallmark, especially

00:06:34.100 with the, uh, low voices that was a cold hypophonia, a small monotone voice like this over time

00:06:41.300 is a hallmark of Parkinsonism. I could have diagnosed him from across the mall.

00:06:45.120 This guy could have diagnosed Biden's Parkinson's from across the mall. It's so obvious.

00:06:52.100 Well, then why didn't you? Why didn't anyone on the liberal media admit this at any point over

00:07:02.240 the last three years? All of these signs that suddenly have, have shocked Democrats, all of

00:07:09.220 these signs have been visible for years now. The slow speech and the low tone and the rigidity

00:07:15.100 and the forgetting words. And you saw that journalist try to explain it away with the

00:07:22.100 old excuse that the Democrats came up to make up for, for Biden's senility. They said, oh,

00:07:26.680 well, he had that childhood stutter. And then the doctor laughs. He says, a childhood stutter,

00:07:30.440 you're only, you're blaming his obvious senility on a childhood stutter. What's the matter with you?

00:07:34.320 And then the journalist backs down because it's so absurd. But if it's absurd today,

00:07:39.280 why wasn't it absurd three years ago? I misspoke earlier when I said this was MSNBC. This is just

00:07:44.360 NBC news. This is even more mainstream. This, this should be even more buttoned up. And yet now

00:07:51.680 it's all open. Oh no, it's so clear. Biden has Parkinson's. Well, how come when conservatives

00:07:56.280 said this exact thing three years ago, you called us all crazy conspiracy theorists and maniacs and 0.94

00:08:03.400 irresponsible and reckless. What has changed? What's changed is Joe Biden looked like he could 0.73

00:08:11.040 beat Donald Trump so long as you changed all the voting rules in 2020. And he doesn't look like he

00:08:16.480 can beat Trump now. They could, they could try to rig the thing 10 ways from Sunday. It doesn't look

00:08:21.240 like there's any way for, for Joe Biden to beat Trump now. So party leaders in the political apparatus,

00:08:27.620 but also in the media, also these propagandists, also the campaign flex,

00:08:30.860 they're all trying to get Biden out. And these are the big guns.

00:08:35.940 When you say the guy's brain is decaying, there's no way to walk that back, which is why

00:08:41.900 this is basically a game of chicken between the white house, between Biden and the Democrat

00:08:48.920 establishment. The Democrat establishment is saying, we're going to keep criticizing you and attacking you

00:08:55.580 until you feel that you couldn't beat Trump and you have to step out. And, and Biden is saying,

00:09:01.440 oh yeah, well, I'm going to stay in and I'm going to keep doubling down. And I have the delegates and

00:09:07.700 I'm going to, I'm going to put you in a position that there's no way that you can get me out. And

00:09:11.600 then you're going to have to, then you're going to lose because you've made me unelectable.

00:09:16.660 No, I'm going to, I'm going to win. No, I'm going to win. No, I'm going to win. And they're,

00:09:21.120 they're just in this game of chicken right now. Parkinson's that's, that's the big gun,

00:09:25.940 but don't fool yourself into thinking that the Democrats are bringing this up based on some new

00:09:31.160 information. If it's so obvious that you could diagnose Biden across the mall, then they could

00:09:38.120 have diagnosed Biden across the mall three years ago. They chose not to now they're getting desperate

00:09:42.620 because they want them out. Leaves the white house in a terrible spot. The white house has now 0.58

00:09:47.980 officially been caught lying. Two articles here. Both, both came out yesterday. NBC news.

00:09:57.580 Biden has not seen neurologist outside annual physicals. White house doctor says in letter

00:10:03.360 addressing Parkinson's expert visits. Joe, but you remember yesterday, I played the clip

00:10:07.940 of Karine Jean-Pierre being smarter than this white house doctor. And green jump here was

00:10:12.480 asked, is Biden seeing a neurologist? The neurologist came 10 times, a dozen times.

00:10:18.800 What's, what's going on with the president's friend? She goes, Joe Biden, the president has

00:10:22.060 seen a neurologist at each of his annual physicals. That's three visits with the neurologist. He's

00:10:28.100 seen a neurologist three times. And I thought this was a clever answer because I'm sure he has seen

00:10:33.860 the neurologist three times. I'm sure he's also seen the neurologist four, five, six, seven, eight,

00:10:37.420 nine and 10 times. To say he's seen a doctor three times does not mean he hasn't seen the doctor four

00:10:43.160 times. If you've seen the doctor four times, you've also seen the doctor three times. To say,

00:10:47.320 oh, he goes at the annual physical. That's true. It doesn't mean he doesn't go some other time of

00:10:50.340 the year. So this white house doctor takes it further. They, they tell this to the press,

00:10:54.800 but then the associated press same day says, president Biden saw a neurologist at the white

00:11:00.400 house on January 17th for a neurological exam. The results of which were later reported as part of

00:11:04.860 his annual physical more than a month later. Hold on. The, the reports of, of Biden's annual

00:11:11.080 physical came out something like February 28th. You're telling me he saw this neurologist on January

00:11:15.960 17th. Now you're telling me that's part of his annual physical came out a month later. What is

00:11:25.560 that? You might say, well, it was a really long physical. Yeah, it was a, it was a six week long

00:11:28.960 physical. No, no. Yeah. Maybe he saw a neurologist. Who knows? Maybe last October, but that's sort of,

00:11:34.020 it's all part of the annual physical. They only release one report on the president's health per

00:11:38.220 year. Okay. Well, it's obvious he's seen the neurologist more than just within the context of

00:11:42.560 his, his physical. And I've served as a political spokesman before on political campaigns.

00:11:50.920 You always want to spin for your candidate. You always want to present your candidate in the best

00:11:54.240 light. But if you're good at it, there is one big no, no. There is one big rule that you got to

00:11:59.340 follow. And that is don't lie to the press. Don't put yourself in a position where you are going to

00:12:06.400 be exposed for having obviously lied. One, because it's immoral, but two, you're going to look ridiculous 1.00

00:12:11.640 and you're going to lose all your credibility. And that's what happened to the White House. 0.98

00:12:15.320 Absolutely no credibility on this. And the journalists usually don't care. They'll usually

00:12:20.760 just carry water for whoever the Democrat president is. But we're in a particular

00:12:25.880 strange moment right now where the Democrat establishment is at war with the Democrat

00:12:33.060 figurehead, with the nominee of the Democrat party. And so in that rare context, and they're

00:12:40.840 only at war, by the way, because the Democrat establishment has lost faith in the Democrat

00:12:45.620 nominee. They want to replace him with someone who's more likely to win. But don't think that now

00:12:50.940 all of a sudden these journalists are doing their jobs out of their deep sense of integrity and

00:12:56.720 speaking truth to power. No, no, no. They're only doing their jobs now because Joe Biden won't fold.

00:13:04.600 Joe Biden has wanted to be president since he was in the womb. He's not giving it up

00:13:07.760 because George Stephanopoulos wants him to. And we'll get to that. George Stephanopoulos,

00:13:12.320 who conducted that long interview with Biden just the other day, he just got caught on a hidden camera

00:13:17.360 giving his real opinion of what's going on. There's so much more to say. First, though,

00:14:34.820 news anchor. But more importantly, George Stephanopoulos was the White House Communications

00:14:39.660 director under Bill Clinton. He conducted this long interview with Biden the other day. Now,

00:14:46.220 some random guy in the streets walking up secretly filming him. Runs into Stephanopoulos, says,

00:14:50.780 hey, man, you just talked to Biden. Do you think he should drop out?

00:14:55.220 Hey, how you doing? Good. What do you think? Do you think Biden should step down?

00:15:00.080 You talk to him more than anybody else have lately. And you can be honest.

00:15:04.500 You don't think he can start four more years? All right. That's an answer.

00:15:07.480 And Stephanopoulos keeps walking. And he didn't see, you can see Stephanopoulos,

00:15:14.740 you only see him on camera there at the end from the back. So it's unclear if it even is George

00:15:18.480 Stephanopoulos. But we know it is because Stephanopoulos and his employer both acknowledged it. ABC News

00:15:26.120 released a statement about this. Earlier today, says Stephanopoulos, I responded to a question from

00:15:32.420 a passerby. I shouldn't have. And then ABC News says, George expressed his own point of view,

00:15:35.880 not the position of ABC News. Now, part of me is wondering, but probably it was just some random

00:15:41.660 guy in the street, asks him, it leaks. It's a little bit embarrassing. But the way that the

00:15:46.580 Democrat establishment is coming out so hard, they're throwing everything they can to get Biden

00:15:50.960 out of this race right now. Part of me wonders if that passerby wasn't just a little bit too 1.00

00:15:57.520 convenient to have yet another voice. George Stephanopoulos would never come out on his

00:16:02.660 show and say, I think Biden should drop out of the race on television. But was this a strategic leak?

00:16:09.660 I don't know. Again, simplest answer is Stephanopoulos just got caught on a hidden camera.

00:16:15.280 But political operators have been known in the past to strategically leak information that looks

00:16:23.120 accidental. Why does it matter that Stephanopoulos did this? As I mentioned, it's not just because

00:16:28.320 he's a very prominent news anchor and establishment journalist. He was the top propagandist for a

00:16:38.140 Democrat president of the United States. He was the White House communications director.

00:16:42.140 He knows what he's talking about.

00:16:44.060 He does not believe that Biden can serve another four years. In a way, some people think George

00:16:52.460 Stephanopoulos doesn't have a lot of credibility as a journalist because he made his career as a

00:16:59.360 propagandist for the Democrat Party. But on this question, at least to me, that bolsters his

00:17:05.060 credibility. The guy knows what he's talking about. And he's right. There is no way that Joe Biden could do

00:17:10.940 the job for another four years. I don't know that he's doing the job now. He probably is not.

00:17:15.720 So you're seeing this reflected in the polling. A poll just came out, shows that Trump beats Joe

00:17:20.900 Biden today pretty significantly. But that same poll shows that Kamala Harris is doing better than Biden.

00:17:28.740 That same poll shows that Hillary Clinton is doing better than Biden. And that same poll shows that

00:17:34.180 Kamala and Hillary both would beat Donald Trump in a head-to-head matchup. Poll conducted by Ben

00:17:40.380 Dixon and Amandi shared exclusively with Politico. Obviously, this is a poll designed to

00:17:46.940 lead to a political outcome, which is Biden dropping out of the race. So do I really buy it? It's a

00:17:54.200 little convenient. I certainly buy that Trump is beating Biden right now. Do I buy that Kamala

00:17:58.740 Harris beats Trump? Do I buy that Hillary beats Trump? I do not. Right now, the poll shows Biden 42,

00:18:06.660 Trump 43. So it's, you know, within the margin of error. Kamala running ahead of Trump 42 to 41,

00:18:13.780 Hillary beating Trump 43 to 41. Even if the poll methodology is totally on the up and up,

00:18:21.680 that's nonsense. That's totally nonsense. Kamala Harris couldn't beat anybody. 1.00

00:18:26.100 That's why Kamala Harris was the first out in the Democrat primary in 2020. She hasn't gotten better 0.97

00:18:30.080 politically since then. Since then, all she's done is cackle and fall into gaffes and repeat 1.00

00:18:36.660 that one weird line. We have to, we must move into the future unburdened by what has been. We must dream

00:18:43.620 of what could be unburdened by what has been. That's that line. That's the only thing she says.

00:18:48.140 It's a total joke. She can't beat Trump. She can't beat anybody. Can Hillary beat Trump? No. We 1.00

00:18:55.600 actually know for a fact Hillary can't beat Trump. She lost to Trump. So candidates poll better when 0.99

00:19:01.600 they're not in a race. This is one of the allures for candidates to get into the race.

00:19:07.900 No one's really been attacking Hillary for now, what, seven years? So Hillary's poll numbers go up. 0.56

00:19:14.680 But the minute you start turning the attack machine on her again, those poll numbers crater.

00:19:18.220 Kamala, no one even thinks about Kamala Harris. The minute you start putting a spotlight on her again, 0.63

00:19:23.040 her poll numbers are going to crater. Biden probably is the Democrats' best shot.

00:19:29.220 And you don't need to take my word for it. Even Kamala's own staff knows this is nonsense.

00:19:33.180 There was an article came out yesterday written by a former staffer for Kamala's presidential campaign

00:19:39.000 2020 who says, look, I love Kamala. Getting that job on her campaign was a dream come true.

00:19:47.220 However, an automatic coronation of Harris would be a grave mistake if Biden drops out.

00:19:53.040 The number two spot has never been a guarantee of promotion to the top job. Only six vice

00:19:56.860 presidents have been elevated to the presidency via an election. Twelve have run and lost. Twice

00:20:01.960 as likely to lose if you're the vice president than you are to win. Five have even failed to get

00:20:08.860 their party's endorsement. Yet some are arguing Harris's nomination should be a fait accompli if

00:20:12.860 Biden steps aside. Primary campaigns are tests. And Harris, who ultimately dropped out before the

00:20:17.900 Iowa caucus, failed hers. That doesn't mean she can never be president. Many unsuccessful presidential 0.97

00:20:23.260 candidates have performed better in a subsequent campaign, but they had to beat out the other

00:20:28.100 candidates. I think that the staffer is totally right here. I think Kamala is mostly a joke. 1.00

00:20:33.760 It's not that Republicans should be totally complacent, but Republicans should be feeling

00:20:38.960 pretty good right now. We have the Democrats on the ropes. 0.55

00:20:41.940 I know some doomer Republicans want to believe constantly that everything is always lost and

00:20:47.600 Democrats are always playing 17D chess and they've always got another trick up their sleeve.

00:20:51.560 But I think they are genuinely in crisis right now. They don't know what to do. They lied to us for a

00:20:56.180 long time. They covered up Joe Biden's obvious senility that everybody could see. And now they got caught

00:21:02.120 with their pants down because Biden made a risky offer to debate Donald Trump, hoping that Trump would

00:21:07.300 argue over the rules and they wouldn't have to debate. Trump accepted all of the rules that Biden

00:21:11.620 proposed and Biden suffered rigor mortis on stage. And now they don't know what to do. So I'm feeling

00:21:16.920 pretty good if I'm a Republican. Until I turn to Capitol Hill, because another ironclad rule of

00:21:26.300 politics, never underestimate Republicans' ability to clutch defeat from the jaws of victory. I like Mike

00:21:32.620 Johnson. He seems like a good guy. He's got a lot of great priorities in order and everything. I don't

00:21:37.100 mean to. Mike Johnson has just come out and said that the 25th Amendment to remove Biden from office

00:21:46.260 and then obviously remove him from running again might be warranted here. He's asked if he's

00:21:54.220 supporting Chip Roy's resolution to call on VP Harris to remove Biden via the 25th Amendment. I love Chip

00:21:59.980 Roy. I think he's a great congressman. Here again, I got to. What's the argument here?

00:22:07.660 According to Mike Johnson, there's a time to every purpose under heaven. Desperate times call for

00:22:11.160 desperate measures. I think the 25th Amendment is appropriate here.

00:22:16.420 One, Mike Johnson and Chip Roy are right. The 25th Amendment would be called for. It would be

00:22:24.120 justifiable to remove the president from office for mental incapacitation. It would be.

00:22:28.620 And two, and I can't stress this enough. Shut up. Shut up. What? I say this out of love. I like 0.99

00:22:37.540 these guys very much. But what? We've got a potato, a potatoes, I guess. The POTUS potato is sitting there

00:22:49.140 in the Oval Office. He obviously hasn't been a particularly active president at all during his

00:22:53.940 administration. And now everyone knows it. And the Republican is going to beat him

00:22:58.660 pretty much any way you slice it right now. And all we need to do is just get to November

00:23:06.520 with Biden as the nominee. Biden's not even officially the Democrat nominee yet. Don't

00:23:10.140 forget, he hasn't officially been nominated by his party, which will happen probably sometime in late

00:23:15.680 July, then be celebrated in late August at the Democrat National Convention. All we have to do is

00:23:22.400 just keep Joe Biden alive and on the ticket. And there are Republicans who want him to step down.

00:23:31.740 I get it. I know it's, and I understand. We'll get into some of the arguments as to why

00:23:36.640 they want to do that. But just because you're right in principle doesn't mean

00:23:42.460 you should be saying it out loud, guys. We're so close to winning. What are we doing?

00:23:48.760 Ah, there's so much more to say. First, though, go to helixsleep.com slash Knowles. I love my

00:23:55.900 Helix. Really, the whole Knowles household loves our Helixes because my little boy, who within the

00:24:57.440 slash Knowles. This is their best offer yet. It won't last long. With Helix, better sleep starts

00:25:02.160 now. In defense of Mike Johnson and Chip Roy, the reason I think they're saying that it's time to

00:25:10.840 invoke the 25th Amendment is because, you know, putting aside the 2024 election, Biden is the

00:25:15.760 president right now, but he can't really be the president right now. So what happens? Joe Biden

00:25:20.940 goes to bed. He watches an episode of Matlock. He goes to bed at 6 p.m. What happens if Russia or China 0.86

00:25:28.300 or someone launches a nuke after 8 p.m.? Who's going to answer that call? Here's what White

00:25:35.140 House Press Secretary, Green Jean-Pierre, has to say. Well, he also says he's sharpest before 8 p.m.

00:25:41.260 So say that the Pentagon at some point picks up an incoming nuke. It's 11 p.m. Who do you call?

00:25:48.040 The first lady? He has a team that lets him know of any news that is pertinent and important to the

00:25:55.400 American people. He has someone that is decided, obviously, with his National Security Council and

00:26:02.120 who gets to tell him that news. He has a team. Okay. Yeah, I'm sure he has a team. But

00:26:09.400 the answer that KJP should have used here is if a nuke starts flying at 11 p.m.,

00:26:20.400 we call the president and the president makes a decision and he can make a decision. He's totally

00:26:25.320 able to and you're blowing this all out of proportion and he's the decider and he's the

00:26:28.600 president. He's in charge of the White House. She doesn't say that and she can't say that

00:26:34.040 because we don't have a president right now. We have a team. The president is effectively

00:26:43.120 incapacitated and there is a team of people around him. And some are saying that that team is led by

00:26:47.920 Jill Biden. Some are saying that team is led by Hunter Biden. Boy, doesn't that ease your anxieties?

00:26:53.320 Some are saying the team is led by, I don't know, the NSC or the White House Chief of Staff or this

00:26:59.640 person or that. Who knows? Barack Obama. I don't know. Anybody in the Democrat establishment.

00:27:03.260 Somebody's running and obviously isn't Joe Biden because Joe Biden can't speak anymore.

00:27:08.740 That, I understand why that would give some Republicans pause and call on them to

00:27:13.960 invoke the 25th Amendment. However, the government has obviously been run this way for the last three

00:27:19.240 years. It's been bad, but it's been bad toward the extreme, but still within the normal confies

00:27:25.040 of Democrat policy. Bad foreign policy that leads to more war abroad, mass migration. That's been a 0.93

00:27:30.760 Democrat policy, at least since Obama now, trying to rig the elections. They've been doing that a long

00:27:36.560 time now too. Bad economic policies. Democrats have had those since forever. I think Green Jump here is

00:27:42.980 right. There's a team of Democrat establishment flaks who are running the White House right now. 0.97

00:27:48.000 I'm not convinced that by invoking the 25th Amendment, you put Kamala Harris in place,

00:27:52.760 that would make Americans any safer. It would probably make us significantly less safe. And

00:27:57.480 it would perhaps make us less likely to win the election.

00:28:04.400 While I believe that Joe Biden is still, oddly enough, the strongest Democrat,

00:28:08.900 there's more unpredictability when it comes to someone like Kamala Harris or anyone else that

00:28:13.940 the Democrats could nominate. And there's not a ton of unpredictability with Joe Biden.

00:28:19.280 Joe Biden, we've known Joe Biden since 1972. He hasn't changed. He's not going to change other

00:28:25.020 than he's going to remain in an accelerating decline. And his poll numbers are going to remain

00:28:29.280 in a decline. Republicans, I'm imploring you, do not clutch defeat from the jaws of victory. Leave

00:28:37.280 the man. Can you please just leave the man on the ballot? When the alternative is replacing him with

00:28:43.700 Kamala Harris, who would probably be worse than the current cadaver in the Oval Office, 0.99

00:28:50.460 just leave him there. Leave him till November. Let us win. We can win. It's okay. We can take the win.

00:28:55.500 It's not too bad. Who is running the country? Not Andy McCarthy. Kevin McCarthy, the former

00:29:02.560 Republican Speaker of the House, has just come out and spilled a little bit of tea.

00:29:07.760 He seems to think it's the First Lady. I will tell you, it's much different of why I know that

00:29:13.260 they're going to stay in this race. Jill doesn't want to leave either. Many times when we had meetings

00:29:17.880 in the Oval Office, Jill was there as well. Interesting. Wait, so the First Lady was in some

00:29:23.580 of your meetings about policy? Many times Jill would come in. There was one time when I'd sit

00:29:30.840 there and the president said something on this famous tour down to the pool saying, do you want

00:29:36.160 to go outside? Jill turns very quickly when she hears that and says, no, they don't want to go

00:29:42.860 outside because she knew exactly what position he was in and what he was doing. And then he just turns

00:29:48.240 around. You don't want to go outside? And then let us outside. Many times, I don't think she's there

00:29:52.660 for policy. I think she's there to give him comfort and direct the meetings.

00:29:58.140 I think that's a charitable and probably accurate take from Kevin McCarthy. I don't think she's

00:30:02.900 power hungry. I don't think she wants to run for president herself. She just knows that her husband 1.00

00:30:06.420 is incapacitated and she's trying to help him out. She's actually just being a good wife, probably. 1.00

00:30:12.840 This has happened before. This exact thing has happened before.

00:30:16.140 October 2nd, 1919. Picture it. Back in time. President Woodrow Wilson has a stroke. It's a

00:30:25.820 very serious stroke. He's left paralyzed on his left side. I think he's left partially blind and he's

00:30:32.860 bedridden. And the only people who could regularly see him were his wife and his doctor. And so his

00:30:42.520 wife, Edith Wilson, was effectively the president. People refer to her as the first woman president

00:30:48.740 in America. That's exactly what's happening here. In a way, that should give you a little bit of

00:30:55.420 comfort. Woodrow Wilson was maybe the most disastrous president we've ever had, perhaps

00:31:00.080 until Joe Biden. But it's happened before. And it's happening again. And the Democrats have known,

00:31:07.880 the elite Democrats have known that it's been happening for a long time. Imagine you're in,

00:31:13.020 you're in these Oval Office meetings and the president's wife is there and the president's

00:31:16.320 wife is contradicting the president or, or, you know, whispering into his ear.

00:31:22.400 The circle around Biden knew this. The senior White House staff obviously knew this. They are lying to

00:31:28.360 you when they say, oh, we didn't realize how far gone he was. No, they did. They were just hoping you

00:31:32.600 would never notice so that they and their little team could continue to run the country. And now

00:31:37.760 they're going to say, oh no, hey, Republicans do our dirty work for us. And, you know, call,

00:31:42.440 call for the invocation of the 25th amendment. Nope. You made your bed. You should lie in it. And we

00:31:47.700 should have a new president come January. Now, who else is running the country? Turn away from

00:31:53.800 Washington for just a moment. Big tech is running the country because we have a constitutional republic.

00:32:03.180 And in a republic, the way that you govern yourself is through speech. You persuade one

00:32:10.520 another, you campaign, you lobby, you, you garner votes, you win elections and you pass laws. That's

00:32:17.460 how it's supposed to work. So in a republic in particular, whoever controls the public square

00:32:22.400 controls politics. And right now it's, it's about three big companies that control the public square,

00:32:29.220 Facebook, Google, Twitter, I guess, X to some degree, it's a bit smaller.

00:32:37.420 Few other players in there, but it's pretty much it. Google and Facebook are the, are the two really

00:32:41.320 big players. And we at the Daily Wire have many times seen Facebook and Google, Google, especially

00:32:48.200 through YouTube, trying to limit our reach, to suppress us, threaten to take our channels off

00:32:54.180 the air. And, you know, sometimes it's a little more damaging than other times. We're still,

00:33:00.820 we're still broadcasting for now, but, but it's been clear they've been going after us.

00:33:05.120 And it's very hard to prove that they've been going after us. But, you know, if you, if you're in the

00:33:08.600 business and if you, if you look at the analytics, you can, you can see it, you know, it's going on.

00:33:12.700 Well, now we have a little bit more hard evidence. Thanks to the House Judiciary Committee,

00:33:18.920 major new report just came out this morning from the House Judiciary Committee. There's going to be

00:33:25.040 a hearing later. Ben is actually going to be testifying at the hearing, along with some big

00:33:29.340 tech muckety mucks. Can't wait to watch the fireworks. Here's just a little bit from the

00:33:33.420 report that was just released this morning. The Committee on the Judiciary has jurisdiction over

00:33:39.820 the, quote, protection of trade and commerce against unlawful restraints and monopolies.

00:33:44.760 In exercising oversight of the adequacy and sufficiency of existing U.S. antitrust laws,

00:33:49.220 the committee has been investigating apparent collusion within the World Federation of Advertisers,

00:33:53.620 and specifically its Global Alliance for Responsible Media initiative. I started ringing

00:34:01.060 the warning bell on, on the Global Alliance for Responsible Media, GARM, I think something like a

00:34:06.020 year ago at this point. GARM, this is, I'm reading from the report, through GARM, large corporations,

00:34:12.420 advertising agencies, and industry associations participated in boycotts and other coordinated

00:34:16.500 action to demonetize platforms, podcasts, news outlets, and other content deemed disfavored by GARM

00:34:22.180 and its members. This collusion can have the effect of eliminating a variety of content

00:34:25.480 and viewpoints available to consumers. They have tremendous market power. WFA members represent

00:34:33.300 roughly 90% of global advertising spend, or $1 trillion annually. So these activists,

00:34:40.600 these leftist operatives, have gotten together, virtually all of the advertisers, in a political

00:34:49.060 organization, and they've started deciding which media outlets they're going to try to kill

00:34:54.220 by restricting advertising dollars, which is the lifeblood of media. So where does Daily Wire come

00:35:00.520 into this? Daily Wire is specifically mentioned in this report because Daily Wire is specifically

00:35:07.960 mentioned by the political operatives who are trying to control speech. Based on a 2022 study

00:35:13.660 conducted by GDI, the Disinformation Index, the group identified the riskiest sites or those that

00:35:20.520 showed the greatest level of disinformation risk. Those 10 sites included the New York Post, Reason

00:35:24.680 Magazine, Reuters Politics, the Daily Wire, the Blaze, the American Conservative, the Federalist,

00:35:29.580 and the American Spectator. On the contrary, the list of least risky sites included left-leaning news

00:35:35.880 outlets such as BuzzFeed News and Huffington Post. You've got well-established outlets,

00:35:43.000 the Daily Wire, about as mainstream as it gets, Reuters Politics, about as mainstream as it gets,

00:35:46.840 New York Post founded by Alexander Hamilton. Super-duper risky. We've got to choke off their

00:35:51.980 advertising dollars. We've got to suppress their reach. Least risky, totally above board sites.

00:35:57.880 Huffington Post? Huffington Post? Huffington Post specifically has defamed me. I know I have

00:36:05.600 experienced firsthand the disinformation from the Huffington Post when they lied about what I said

00:36:11.060 at CPAC two years ago. No, no, but they're the least risky. They get all the advertising dollars.

00:36:15.160 They get all the reach. GARM is led by a number of people, but initiative lead Rob Rakowitz. John

00:36:24.080 Montgomery is the executive vice president of Global Brand Safety. We've got their internal documents,

00:36:28.560 according to this House report. Internal GARM documents produced by the committee show a clear

00:36:32.320 bias that infiltrates GARM's work and favors left-wing sources. In 2021, when Mr. Rakowitz received a

00:36:39.840 question about the Daily Wire, he contacted two individuals from Group M. This one guy, this other

00:36:45.680 guy. Rakowitz asked about the position on the Daily Wire, and he told the two men that GARM is,

00:36:51.660 quote, explicitly nonpartisan and will not deplatform people that might run counter to GARM's

00:36:55.820 worldview. Mr. Montgomery, however, explained how Group M monitors media it does not support,

00:37:02.060 like the Daily Wire, to find something wrong. So they'll say in their documents,

00:37:05.320 oh, no, no, we're nonpartisan. We're not going to try to destroy you just because we disagree

00:37:09.120 with your political views. But you know what we are going to do? We're going to watch you real

00:37:12.840 closely, and then we're just going to find something. It's like if a cop starts following

00:37:17.680 a guy driving down the road. Any cop will tell you, you follow a guy for two miles,

00:37:23.200 the cop can find some reason to pull you over. That's what this is, which is why on certain big

00:37:30.460 tech platforms, when political pressure has gotten intense, they will suppress my reach.

00:37:36.180 I'm speaking personally here. Or they'll try to take my channel off air entirely.

00:37:41.480 And very often, the way they'll do it is not based on anything that I've said recently.

00:37:46.540 It'll be something I said a year ago, two years ago. They'll have some operative dig all the way back

00:37:52.820 to find something that also was totally unobjectionable, but they can find a way that

00:37:57.560 it somehow violates some policy ex post facto. That would appear to be what GARM is doing.

00:38:04.240 Why is this all happening now? Because it's 2024. And this is only going to get worse,

00:38:08.700 and especially that we've got a Democrat nominee whose brain is applesauce. 0.81

00:38:13.360 The only thing that the Democrats can do, I guess they can try to imprison Trump. That'll only help

00:38:18.640 him. The Democrats can try to rig the election. At this point, I just don't, I mean, I don't even

00:38:23.300 think it's possible. Even Democrats are good at rigging elections. I just, the gap in polling is just

00:38:28.220 too great at the moment, especially in the swing states. So I guess the last thing they can try to do,

00:38:34.240 other than banish Trump to St. Helena, is to cut off all the sources of information

00:38:38.940 to conservatives and to people in the middle and even people on the center left.

00:38:44.060 It worked with the Hunter Biden laptop story. After the big tech colluded to shut down the

00:38:48.040 Hunter Biden laptop story, all of a sudden, Joe Biden, I guess, wins the election. And then there's

00:38:54.920 a poll conducted afterwards, which shows that 12% of Biden voters said, had they known about the

00:39:00.820 Hunter Biden laptop story and seen all the crimes that the Biden family appears to have committed,

00:39:05.660 they would not have voted for Biden. So the big tech censorship worked. They want to do it again.

00:39:10.220 We need political action to stop it. The survival of the Daily Wire perhaps depends on this.

00:39:16.060 The survival of conservative media perhaps depends on this. But even beyond any of these businesses,

00:39:21.380 the survival of a free public square of the American political order depends on this. Great work from the

00:39:26.180 Judiciary Committee. And I look forward to seeing our big tech overlords raked over the coals. And I

00:39:31.120 really hope that something actually is done to stop them from doing what they're doing.

00:40:50.020 95. The real question is, why that wasn't a felony already? I think this is referring to

00:40:55.660 this proposal in California to raise soliciting sex from kids from a misdemeanor to a felony.

00:41:04.340 Why wasn't that a felony already? Because the liberals in California are too busy trying to 1.00

00:41:07.880 decriminalize such actions. Are you kidding me? State Senator Anthony Weiner made his political

00:41:15.960 notoriety on trying to reduce punishments for pederasts. California is going a very different

00:41:23.280 direction, amigo. Speaking of big tech, totally outside of the partisan political fight right now,

00:41:32.020 there's a new report out of England that 94% of AI-written college exams go undetected.

00:41:41.320 And I've wondered about this for a while. I don't work in the education field. I graduated college

00:41:49.200 before artificial intelligence was around. But I wondered, how do professors run their classes now?

00:41:57.960 It seems, if I can go into AI and say, write me an epic poem in the style of Tasso with these five

00:42:10.500 elements to it. And then also put it to music and then also make a music video out of it and have

00:42:17.760 it star Scarlett Johansson. And I can click a button and in about seven minutes, I can get all of those

00:42:23.500 things. Does anyone write papers anymore in school? There were AI detectors, or at least plagiarism

00:42:32.480 detectors, but those don't even really work according to this report. And furthermore, according to the

00:42:38.520 report, the AI does better on college exams than the actual students do. So what does this mean for

00:42:45.580 education? It means either that university education is going to become even more preposterous,

00:42:53.680 that you're going to pay $60,000, $70,000 a year to go and party. And then every so often,

00:42:58.720 you'll have to click a button to generate some paper. And then, I don't know, probably the teacher

00:43:02.780 will then plug the paper into AI and have the AI grade the paper. And everyone, just computers will do

00:43:07.020 everything and the people will just be superfluous so they can go around and, I don't know, the kids

00:43:12.240 can party and the professors can go to conferences and party and no one really does any work. Or, I have

00:43:19.520 actually a more hopeful view of it. The answer, if you still want to educate students, the answer is,

00:43:27.780 you're going to need much more in-person learning. Which runs counter to the liberal narrative. We were told,

00:43:33.740 especially after COVID, all education, man, it's going to go online. What do we need university

00:43:39.180 campuses for anymore? We can just do it all online. What do we need papers and pencils and physical

00:43:47.500 books and, yo, you don't need any of that stuff anymore, man. We just do it all online. What do

00:43:50.640 we need our bodies for? We don't need our body. You can just plug your brain into the matrix and

00:43:54.260 you can pretend to be the opposite sex or an orangutan or, I don't know, you can just, 0.89

00:43:59.400 you can do it. Just everything will be virtual, right? No. Because if that's the case, you won't

00:44:04.360 know anything. I remember even when I was a kid, we were flattered by our teachers. We said, you have

00:44:09.560 more information at your fingertips than Plato or Aristotle did. I thought that's true, but we don't

00:44:14.940 know anything. I know much less than Plato and Aristotle, even though I have a magical iPhone,

00:44:21.420 even though I have a calculator, even though, yeah, but I still know much less than them because I don't

00:44:26.000 really know it. And one of the crises of education is people don't even know how to know anymore.

00:44:31.740 They don't even know how to go about asking the questions that will lead you to information that

00:44:38.080 you don't even think to inquire into. So the hopeful bit to me is AI has completely destroyed

00:44:46.060 whatever last remnant of a serious education existed in the modern university system. That's over.

00:44:54.640 So ironically, what we're going to need is more in person. What we're going to need is more

00:45:03.060 physical presence in education. What we're going to need is more time. What we're going to need is

00:45:08.140 we're going to need more physical books and physical pens and paper and exam rooms and timers and meeting

00:45:14.480 together and to one, to prove that you're not just plugging stuff into AI. But two, you need that

00:45:20.940 because that's how human nature works. We are bodies and souls. And so much of the last few decades has

00:45:29.700 been a denial of the body. So much so now that we pretend that a man can really be a woman, that the 0.79

00:45:33.660 body has nothing to do with who we are. But the body is really part of it. Time, contingency, flesh,

00:45:42.360 stuff. That's part of your life. And you won't be an educated person without it. You'll say,

00:45:47.960 oh, I've got every lecture in the world is available to me on YouTube. I could be the most

00:45:51.820 educated person in the world. But you won't be because that's not how we really learn. We learn

00:45:54.700 by being in physical contact with people and imitating them and picking up their impulses

00:45:59.340 and asking questions off the cuff and being forced to memorize things and being forced to recite things

00:46:04.220 and being forced to write them down in little blue books in exam rooms. The future, it turns out,

00:46:09.160 is the past. Or it's a lot closer to the past than people imagine the future to be.

00:46:12.540 Now, speaking of proper education, this is a story I meant to get to last week, and I do want to get

00:46:18.640 to it now. Pope Francis, he said some things that raise a lot of eyebrows. He said some things that

00:46:25.620 make one chuckle, like when he was calling for fewer homosexuals in seminaries a few weeks ago 0.85

00:46:33.540 because there was, c'è già troppa frociagine. La frociagine, basta con la frociagine. Frociagine 0.95

00:46:41.020 being the word for it. We'll probably have to bleep this out in the show. But the nearest translation

00:46:45.220 from the Italian is faggotry. So he's, it's, you know, you never know exactly what you're going to 1.00

00:46:50.860 get in these political statements of the Pope. But he just made an important point. He was addressing

00:46:56.740 United Nations International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. And he twice said

00:47:05.180 that drug dealers are murderers. He said drugs trample on human dignity, that reduction in drug

00:47:12.920 addiction is not achieved by liberalizing drug use, as many of the leftists and the libertarians would

00:47:18.160 say. He said that that's a total fantasy. He's absolutely right. He says it's like this, you liberalize

00:47:23.720 and drugs are consumed even more. That's true. He calls drug traffickers, traffickers of death,

00:47:28.640 driven by the logic of power and money at any cost. It's true. Trade human life for just a little bit

00:47:33.680 of money, not even all that much money. And the scourge, he says, which produces violence and so

00:47:37.900 suffering and death demands an act of courage from our society as a whole. Very true. We all know people

00:47:42.420 who've died from illegal drugs. I agree that drug dealers should be treated as akin to murderers. And

00:47:48.140 tying it back to what we were just talking about. We have this idea that in the future,

00:47:54.680 everything's going to be totally different. Oh, you don't understand the future. It's going to be,

00:47:58.800 you're just, you fogey, fuddy-duddy conservatives, you're stuck in the past. The future's going to be

00:48:03.360 totally different. Eternal truths remain, which is why conservatism, traditionalism endures,

00:48:12.380 because it's not about old dusty stuff. It's about the truths that have endured. And this is true.

00:48:17.760 The modern liberal people, they say, no, actually, we've just discovered that when you legalize

00:48:22.800 bad things and you even incentivize bad things in some cases, you get less of it somehow through

00:48:27.320 some magical economics or something. No, you don't. Those basic truths are still, drugs are bad.

00:48:34.060 Being an addict is bad. Government exists to set the conditions for human flourishing,

00:48:40.380 do good and avoid evil. It's all still true. And hearing this from the sole institution in the West

00:48:46.620 to survive since antiquity and continue to thrive in modernity should make us listen.
