00:00:00.000 Pennsylvania Democrats get caught trying to rig the election against President Trump.
00:00:04.680 Kamala Harris gets caught in a Me Too pickle as her husband is accused of beating his ex-girlfriend in public.
00:00:11.580 Lots to get to. I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:00:30.000 Welcome back to the show. Hot on the heels of Republican up-and-comer J.D. Vance completely destroying Tim Wolves at the vice presidential debate.
00:00:44.140 Another Republican up-and-comer, Byron Donalds, destroyed the libs on The Breakfast Club with facts and logic and calmness and articulation.
00:00:54.100 And it was really great. It was another masterclass in rhetoric for Republicans.
00:00:59.220 There's so much more to say. First, though, text Knowles to 989898.
00:01:04.620 Kamala Harris's economic plan is a disaster. Get ready for massive tax hikes.
00:01:08.980 And you might be thinking it's time to make more of your savings tax-sheltered and inflation-sheltered.
00:01:14.100 That is where I trust Birch Gold Group to help.
00:01:16.640 Birch Gold will assist you in converting an existing IRA or 401k into an IRA in gold.
00:01:21.060 And the best news, you don't have to pay a penny out of pocket.
00:01:24.660 Just text the word Knowles, K-N-W-L-E-S, to 989898.
00:01:27.460 Make it a free info kit on gold.
00:01:28.800 There's no obligation, just information on fortifying your savings before the crazy really hits.
00:01:33.460 As the exclusive gold partner of The Daily Wire for the past eight years, an A-plus rating with the Better Business Bureau and thousands of happy customers, you can trust Birch Gold, too.
00:01:41.740 Right now, text Knowles, K-N-W-L-E-S, to 989898 for your free info kit today.
00:01:46.600 That is Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S.
00:01:50.520 Text it to 989898 today.
00:01:54.180 I have a good chunk of my portfolio in gold.
00:01:56.900 I'm glad I've diversified.
00:01:58.720 You should consider diversifying, too.
00:02:00.180 Text Knowles to 989898.
00:02:02.680 Shenanigans are afoot, my friends.
00:02:05.480 What day is it?
00:02:06.240 October 4th.
00:02:07.900 Already big shenanigans.
00:02:09.480 Because tomorrow, President Trump will be returning to Butler, Pennsylvania.
00:02:13.600 This is the site of the first assassination attempt, the one that did put a bullet through his ear and very nearly put a bullet through the back of his skull and very nearly killed President Trump back in July.
00:02:27.820 Trump, because you can't keep the guy down, because he's indefatigable and he's an American original, is showing up to the site where his life almost ended.
00:02:37.140 That will be tomorrow.
00:02:38.460 So, Scott Pressler, who's done some great work registering voters, getting out the vote, he's done the actual nuts and bolts of Republican campaigning, whereas most people are just out, you know, I don't know, blabbing about it or something.
00:02:52.120 But he's really, really tuned in to what's going on on the ground.
00:02:57.060 And Scott Pressler just sounded the alarm of some shenanigans.
00:03:00.100 During President Trump's rally in Pennsylvania, what do you know, the voter registration application website in Pennsylvania, quote, will undergo scheduled system maintenance and be unavailable Saturday, October 5th from 6 p.m. until 12 a.m.
00:03:20.280 We thank you for your understanding.
00:03:22.180 Of course, October 21st is the last day to register before the November 5th election.
00:03:30.100 The very day that President Trump is going to return to Butler, PA, right there in prime time, 6 p.m. to 12 a.m., oopsie-daisy, the voter registration website's going to be down.
00:03:43.360 This is such transparent election rigging, I'm impressed by how brazen it is.
00:03:53.000 I'm not impressed because usually the Democrats are subtler about these things, but in a way I am impressed by just how brazen this is.
00:04:00.620 Yeah, we're going to shut down the whole voter registration website exactly during the time that Trump is most likely to turn out new people to register to vote in our state, in a crucial swing state.
00:04:13.980 Now, after Scott sounded the alarm, Pennsylvania implicitly copped to the rigging because they changed the time.
00:04:24.640 Now, the website reads, the website will undergo scheduled system maintenance and be unavailable October 5th, 10 p.m. until October 6th, 4 a.m.
00:04:31.660 Thank you for your understanding.
00:04:33.620 Not good enough.
00:04:34.420 First of all, the fact that they changed the time is the state of Pennsylvania, these crooked Democrats, admitting, yeah, we tried to rig it against Trump, we tried to shut it down for his rally, and we got caught.
00:04:45.000 All right, whatever, we'll push it a few hours later.
00:04:48.000 Not good enough.
00:04:48.780 This is, if the Pennsylvania voter registration website is going to remain down from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m., there are going to be a ton of voters who are enthusiastic, who are inspired to register because of President Trump, who will not be able to do it.
00:05:06.960 Okay, we're not going to do it during Trump's rally.
00:05:08.700 We're not going to shut it down during Trump's rally.
00:05:10.120 We're going to shut it down right afterward.
00:05:11.860 Give me a break.
00:05:12.900 This is brazen rigging.
00:05:14.360 These crook Democrats in Pennsylvania are trying to steal the election.
00:05:17.800 This is not some wacky, crazy conspiracy theory.
00:05:21.260 Here it is, in their own words, on the government website.
00:05:24.880 If they are allowed to go through with this, this should be the first, is it the first?
00:05:32.000 I don't know.
00:05:32.260 It's early evidence of what must be countless other attempts to cheat and rig the election in a swing state in 2024.
00:05:41.280 Now, speaking of scandals, Kamala Harris is in a scandal of her own because Kamala Harris' husband has been accused of smacking his ex-girlfriend around in public.
00:05:57.600 We talked about this story a little bit yesterday.
00:06:00.200 I didn't even really want to get into it too much because it's a little salacious.
00:06:03.460 It's obviously not a private sin or allegation that one's revealing because it's all public.
00:06:08.040 And the second family is a public family.
00:06:10.860 But if it were just that some ex-girlfriend accused Doug Emhoff of being a brute, and there's a lot of evidence that he was a brute because another public scandal of his is that he cheated on his now ex-wife and he impregnated the nanny.
00:06:28.100 And now, according to multiple sources close to the former couple, he smacked his ex-girlfriend around in public.
00:06:39.760 But if it were just about him, I probably wouldn't even bring it up because I don't think it's exactly breaking news that liberal men are brutish and disreputable people.
00:06:52.000 The reason I bring it up is because it highlights a real problem for Kamala Harris and for a lot of Democrat women.
00:06:59.940 Because not so long ago during the Me Too movement, Kamala Harris demanded that we believe all women.
00:07:07.520 All women who make any accusations against men must be believed.
00:07:13.640 And all these women on the Democrat side decided to embrace this movement because the movement was being weaponized.
00:07:22.000 Against Donald Trump.
00:07:24.080 It was really cropping up, I think, because of Donald Trump.
00:07:26.980 Brett Kavanaugh it was used against without any credibility whatsoever.
00:07:30.500 He had that complete lunatic, Christine Blasey Ford, whose story changed every time she opened her mouth.
00:07:35.740 But she had to be believed.
00:07:37.840 Her testimony was unimpeachable, even though it was self-contradictory.
00:07:41.160 And it was contradicted by her friends at the time and people who could have been eyewitnesses.
00:07:46.900 But it was good then because it was being used against Republican men.
00:07:52.760 Kamala Harris, during Me Too, tweeted out, I stand with women across every industry to say,
00:07:59.500 time's up on abuse, harassment, marginalization, and underrepresentation.
00:08:04.320 Join me.
00:08:05.280 We want all survivors of sexual harassment everywhere to be heard, to be believed, and to know that accountability is possible.
00:08:11.840 That's not all she said.
00:08:12.620 She also tweeted out, I wore black today in support of all survivors of sexual assault or abuse.
00:08:19.520 We won't let them be silenced or ignored.
00:08:22.240 Hashtag believe survivors.
00:08:23.640 And then she's got this picture of herself there.
00:08:25.800 Looking real smug.
00:08:27.240 Looking real serious.
00:08:28.180 Time's up.
00:08:29.220 Believe survivors.
00:08:30.200 Except when the survivors accuse her husband.
00:08:36.680 Because the second gentleman, the man who wants to be the first gentleman, has now officially denied the allegations through a spokesman.
00:08:45.660 So through a spokesman, Kamala Harris' husband says, don't believe the woman who's accusing me of beating her in public.
00:08:54.440 Kamala Harris says, believe all women.
00:08:56.720 Believe survivors.
00:08:57.920 Her husband, officially, so this is obviously through the Kamala apparatus, says, don't believe that woman.
00:09:02.960 Hillary Clinton did the same thing in 2016.
00:09:05.320 We need to believe all women.
00:09:06.580 We need to believe all women.
00:09:07.700 Hey, what about the woman who says your husband raped her?
00:09:10.340 Don't believe that woman.
00:09:12.800 This is why it's a political problem for Kamala Harris.
00:09:15.300 This is the only reason I'm talking about it.
00:09:17.200 It's exhibit Z.
00:09:22.060 I don't know.
00:09:22.400 It's evidence number 3,255 that Kamala Harris is completely inauthentic.
00:09:28.840 That she doesn't have any serious beliefs of her own.
00:09:32.240 That she will just recite whatever the liberal establishment would like according to prevailing winds.
00:09:40.620 And in this way, in a particularly egregious way, because she's saying this is about, this is about, you know, woman solidarity.
00:09:52.180 This is about defending women.
00:09:53.140 She's staked so much for campaign on women's rights, really used as a euphemism for abortion.
00:09:57.900 She says, you know, we stand with the girls.
00:09:59.880 Except the one who says that my husband beat her up in public.
00:10:02.960 There's so much more to say.
00:10:04.100 First, though, go to lumen.me.
00:10:06.980 Use code NOLS.

00:10:17.420 Now, for me, I've never been the most athletically inclined, let's say.
00:10:22.120 So any little hack that I can have to be better about my health is fabulous.
00:10:27.080 It's one of the many reasons I love Lumen.

00:11:14.340 Thank you, Lumen, for sponsoring this show.
00:11:16.600 Speaking of women, got to give a big hat tip to Libs of TikTok here, as is often the case.
00:11:23.920 There are members of a New Hampshire girls' high school soccer team, Hillsborough during high school,
00:11:31.440 who are refusing to play soccer against the Cure Sarge team because this other school's team allows a man who thinks that he's a woman or a boy who thinks that he's a girl to play on the team.
00:11:49.340 And the girls are saying, we're not going to play against a man.
00:11:53.320 We have a girls' soccer league.
00:11:55.660 This is unfair.
00:11:56.960 Men are physically stronger and better at sports than women.
00:11:59.560 And so we're not going to subject ourselves to this.
00:12:02.580 That's not the best part.
00:12:03.600 We've heard a thousand versions of this story.
00:12:06.320 The best part, this was pointed out by Riley Gaines,
00:12:08.880 is that the boy who plays on the girls' team,
00:12:15.440 his name is, where is it?
00:12:19.200 Male Jacques.
00:12:22.400 M-A-E-L-L-E-J-A-C-Q-U-E-S.
00:12:29.140 Male Jacques is the guy's name.
00:12:31.840 When I saw this, I said, this can't be true.
00:12:35.080 This has to be a setup.
00:12:36.360 This has to be the Babylon Bee.
00:12:37.700 Or the humor of Providence, of the tightly knit logic of history,
00:12:45.100 is really on the nose right now.
00:12:49.400 The girls' soccer team refuses to play against male jock.
00:12:56.720 Of course.
00:12:58.660 There are no mere coincidences.
00:13:00.660 This is a good one.
00:13:02.340 I mean, this really shows you the issue.
00:13:04.200 But furthermore, this isn't just about fairness.
00:13:08.900 This isn't just about, you know, the girls being at a disadvantage
00:13:11.940 and not being able to win the game because the men are stronger or whatever.
00:13:15.300 This is just a basic matter of safety for girls.
00:13:18.100 As I've said from the beginning,
00:13:19.660 I would like girls and women to have their own sports leagues
00:13:23.880 because we told them they could,
00:13:25.200 and it seems like a nice thing for them.
00:13:28.100 But I don't really care about women's sports.
00:13:30.740 I don't, nobody really cares about women's sports.
00:13:33.540 The closest anyone has come to caring about,
00:13:35.580 maybe tennis people kind of like,
00:13:38.240 the closest anyone's coming in recent years to caring about women's sports
00:13:42.800 is now the WNBA because that star, Caitlin Clark, is in it.
00:13:46.840 And even then, people aren't actually watching it.
00:13:48.960 Like, it's, no one really cares.
00:13:52.200 It's the injustice that bothers us, for starters.
00:13:56.700 And then the second thing that bothers us,
00:13:58.840 and I think it's a good argument for these girls not to play against
00:14:03.160 other schools that let men on the team,
00:14:05.880 it's not safe.
00:14:07.040 In 2022, Peyton McNabb, a girls volleyball player,
00:14:13.380 was paralyzed and suffered a brain injury
00:14:17.380 because the other team let a dude play on the team.
00:14:21.760 And the boy spiked the ball so hard
00:14:24.780 that he permanently paralyzed this girl
00:14:27.780 and left her with a brain injury.
00:14:31.760 If I, I only have boys.
00:14:33.720 If I had a daughter,
00:14:34.880 my daughter wanted to play volleyball
00:14:37.300 and there were, or really any sport,
00:14:39.840 and there were a man on the other team,
00:14:41.520 I would just say no.
00:14:43.140 And I wouldn't say no just to prove a point
00:14:45.580 or anything like that.
00:14:47.020 I would say no because I want my daughter to be safe
00:14:49.400 and this isn't safe.
00:14:51.080 This is needlessly endangering girls
00:14:53.680 and leaving them vulnerable to the possibility
00:14:57.100 that they could be permanently paralyzed and brain injured
00:14:59.780 so that some extraordinarily confused
00:15:03.240 and potentially perverted,
00:15:05.800 I mean, I guess by definition perverted,
00:15:08.200 boy or man gets to live out a sexual fantasy.
00:15:12.640 Ain't doing that.
00:15:13.680 Sorry.
00:15:15.540 This is a winning issue for Republicans
00:15:19.680 because what the Democrats have done
00:15:22.640 is so grotesque, unjust, and dangerous,
00:15:28.160 and obviously dangerous.
00:15:29.280 This is why my friend,
00:15:32.000 the junior senator from Texas,
00:15:34.280 Senator Cruz,
00:15:35.500 has just released perhaps the best ad
00:15:38.540 of the 2024 campaign cycle.
00:15:40.780 Keep your eye on the ball.
00:15:41.880 Ready?
00:15:43.220 Okay.
00:15:43.920 That's okay.
00:15:44.740 Concentrate.
00:15:47.340 Texas girls are tough.
00:15:49.560 You got this.
00:15:50.240 Let's do it again.
00:15:51.180 But they're facing a new opponent
00:15:52.940 they can't beat by digging deeper.
00:15:55.020 Colin Allred could have stopped men
00:15:57.960 from competing in women's sports,
00:15:59.660 but instead he voted against our daughters.
00:16:05.640 What kind of man does that?
00:16:08.280 Truth and Courage Pack is responsible
00:16:09.560 for the content of this advertising.
00:16:11.200 Oh man, this is good.
00:16:13.140 And you know,
00:16:13.500 I think I know actually who wrote that ad.
00:16:16.260 It's a provocative ad.
00:16:18.500 You get Call Allred,
00:16:19.840 who is an athlete, right?
00:16:21.160 And he just tackles this girl at the end.
00:16:24.360 And I love that tagline.
00:16:26.580 What kind of man does that?
00:16:29.360 Now, some people are going to roll their eyes.
00:16:30.900 They're going to say,
00:16:31.260 this is the best you got.
00:16:32.900 This is the best you Republicans have.
00:16:36.780 We're going to pretend that girls' sports
00:16:38.820 is the most important issue of the election.
00:16:41.160 It's not the most important issue of the election.
00:16:42.960 But it's the clearest issue of the election.
00:16:48.060 Let's put it that way.
00:16:49.760 It's a novel issue.
00:16:51.920 It makes the Democrats look completely absurd.
00:16:56.040 And it's an issue that resonates
00:16:58.880 with every single parent.
00:17:01.360 Certainly every single parent of a girl,
00:17:02.820 but I think just every single parent.
00:17:04.140 It is disgusting
00:17:07.940 and scandalous
00:17:10.380 and reckless
00:17:12.040 to allow men and boys
00:17:14.740 to compete in girls' sports.
00:17:17.820 It endangers women.
00:17:20.480 But that's the Democrat Party now, I guess.
00:17:22.080 It's the party of Doug Emhoff
00:17:23.440 and Colin Allred.
00:17:24.820 You know, Doug Emhoff
00:17:26.120 accused of beating his girlfriend in public.
00:17:28.280 He's the new kind of man, though.
00:17:29.260 He's redefining masculinity,
00:17:30.820 according to Jen Psaki.
00:17:31.780 And then Colin Allred,
00:17:33.820 who voted against protecting girls
00:17:35.480 from being brutalized by men in sports.
00:17:38.480 That's the party, I guess.
00:17:39.800 So much for the party of women.
00:17:41.140 This is a strong issue.
00:17:44.620 If you think this is a minor issue,
00:17:46.600 it's an ancillary issue,
00:17:47.700 I would say look at Virginia.
00:17:50.540 This issue,
00:17:52.340 transgenderism in schools in particular,
00:17:54.700 might have been the defining issue
00:17:57.020 that got Glenn Youngkin elected
00:17:58.280 and flipped a blue Commonwealth red.
00:17:59.980 This issue was one of a number of issues,
00:18:03.840 but a prominent issue
00:18:04.880 that got Ron DeSantis re-elected
00:18:07.020 in a landslide in Florida.
00:18:09.040 This is a good issue.
00:18:11.060 Democrats want us to be talking about abortion
00:18:13.480 and in vitro fertilization or something.
00:18:16.740 They don't want us talking about this issue
00:18:19.020 because while it's ancillary
00:18:22.380 in its immediate effect,
00:18:24.020 you know, girls' sports,
00:18:25.800 it is universal.
00:18:28.040 It tells you the whole story
00:18:29.560 because it gives you this whole absurd premise
00:18:33.500 that the Democrats think boys and girls
00:18:34.940 are exactly the same
00:18:35.980 and women need to suffer
00:18:37.880 so that perverse men
00:18:39.100 can be titillated a little bit.
00:18:42.860 Now, speaking of the trans issue,
00:18:45.880 there's a story,
00:18:46.680 it just came out of the United Kingdom.
00:18:49.520 The lead child psychologist at Tavistock,
00:18:53.360 this infamous gender clinic
00:18:56.220 that was transing the kids,
00:18:57.640 probably the most infamous in the world,
00:18:59.620 the lead child psychologist at Tavistock
00:19:02.740 was just caught, allegedly,
00:19:06.580 grooming a 15-year-old boy.
00:19:10.580 This guy, lead psychologist
00:19:12.600 at Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust,
00:19:15.240 was ensnared by a group
00:19:17.500 of vigilante pedophile hunters
00:19:19.660 in an online sting
00:19:21.240 after he allegedly,
00:19:23.500 I have to say allegedly,
00:19:24.380 a hundred thousand times
00:19:25.380 as I talk about this,
00:19:26.860 allegedly sent sexually explicit messages
00:19:29.500 to someone who told the psychologist
00:19:32.700 that he was 15 years old.
00:19:34.340 And then the 53-year-old psychologist
00:19:36.340 allegedly met up with his would-be victim
00:19:38.680 in a restaurant,
00:19:41.120 a Nando's restaurant,
00:19:42.160 a nice little restaurant chain in the UK,
00:19:44.100 and then arranged to go to a local park
00:19:47.040 to do illegal activities,
00:19:49.320 allegedly.
00:19:52.940 It is always the ones you most expect.
00:19:56.960 This is example number 10,057.
00:20:00.460 It is always the ones you most expect.
00:20:02.760 Who would have thought
00:20:05.300 that a guy who dedicates his life and career
00:20:07.340 to scandalizing sexually confused children
00:20:10.920 would have a weird sexual fascination with children?
00:20:15.260 Who could have imagined?
00:20:17.340 And in particularly aberrant ways.
00:20:19.140 Who could have possibly guessed that?
00:20:23.140 This issue,
00:20:24.040 I know there are going to be people,
00:20:25.560 not just the Democrats,
00:20:27.240 but there are going to be GOP figures
00:20:30.340 who say,
00:20:31.340 all right,
00:20:31.600 enough about the transgender thing.
00:20:33.100 I agree.
00:20:33.540 I think it's absurd
00:20:34.460 that our culture has to talk about
00:20:35.620 how boys and girls are different all the time.
00:20:36.920 I agree.
00:20:37.460 I'm sick of it, too.
00:20:40.340 This is an important issue
00:20:42.480 because the Democrats
00:20:45.040 are scandalizing and mutilating
00:20:47.980 and sterilizing children
00:20:49.280 and shortening their lifespans.
00:20:51.180 So just in itself,
00:20:52.240 it's a really crucial issue.
00:20:55.420 But it's a winning issue.
00:20:57.260 And if you pull on this thread
00:20:58.880 just a little bit,
00:20:59.860 you're going to wind up
00:21:02.040 with a big pile of yarn.
00:21:02.880 There is a lot here.
00:21:06.260 Okay?
00:21:07.140 It is...
00:21:07.780 It's always the ones you most expect.
00:21:11.000 99.7% of the time.
00:21:13.220 There's so much more to say.
00:21:14.460 First, though,

00:21:49.020 of our time.
00:21:49.840 stances such as
00:21:51.660 women can be pastors.

00:22:15.400 expansion pack
00:22:17.100 today.
00:22:18.260 My favorite comment
00:22:19.760 yesterday
00:22:20.220 is from Two Toy Boys.
00:22:23.340 Jack Smith is the
00:22:24.340 Black Knight
00:22:24.960 from Monty Python
00:22:25.860 and the Holy Grail.
00:22:27.280 He keeps losing limbs
00:22:28.280 but refuses
00:22:29.020 to admit defeat.
00:22:30.640 So true.
00:22:32.160 Your case is thrown out.
00:22:33.140 What?
00:22:33.380 What are you talking about?
00:22:33.980 My case is thrown out.
00:22:34.840 No, hold on,
00:22:35.500 but I,
00:22:36.440 Trump,
00:22:37.240 well,
00:22:37.620 let's go back to D.C.
00:22:38.680 Trump,
00:22:39.120 he did an insurrection.
00:22:41.000 He didn't really do
00:22:41.520 an insurrection.
00:22:41.980 No, but we,
00:22:42.600 anyway,
00:22:42.980 he,
00:22:43.460 but one of his campaign staffers
00:22:45.940 made a joke about rioting.
00:22:47.600 Yeah,
00:22:47.740 but it wasn't Trump
00:22:48.420 who did that.
00:22:48.820 Well,
00:22:49.340 I'm going to fall off my desk
00:22:50.440 if I,
00:22:50.860 if I continue that charade.
00:22:53.420 Speaking of Republicans
00:22:54.640 winning on issues,
00:22:56.860 Byron Donalds,
00:22:57.960 man,
00:22:59.540 Florida congressman,
00:23:01.480 rising star in the GOP,
00:23:04.540 hot on the heels
00:23:05.280 of J.D. Vance's master class
00:23:07.040 in oratory and rhetoric
00:23:08.400 at the VP debate.
00:23:09.700 He gives another one
00:23:10.900 on The Breakfast Club.
00:23:13.400 This is a left-wing show
00:23:15.340 geared primarily
00:23:16.160 at a black audience
00:23:17.100 and Byron
00:23:20.120 absolutely killed it.
00:23:21.580 What does qualified immunity
00:23:22.420 have to do with
00:23:23.320 having less police officers?
00:23:24.860 Because,
00:23:25.220 because the economic incentive
00:23:27.020 of qualified immunity
00:23:28.220 means that your personal assets
00:23:29.920 aren't going after
00:23:30.780 if something goes wrong.
00:23:32.240 So,
00:23:33.160 you know,
00:23:33.640 you're in business,
00:23:34.500 you're in business.
00:23:35.700 Do you get involved
00:23:36.620 in a project
00:23:37.260 or a deal
00:23:37.940 that leaves you
00:23:39.020 massively exposed
00:23:40.240 financially?
00:23:41.280 You may,
00:23:42.280 depending on your passion
00:23:43.160 for that project,
00:23:44.220 but then you also
00:23:44.880 sit back and think,
00:23:45.620 now wait a minute,
00:23:46.200 if something goes wrong,
00:23:47.520 I'm going to be held
00:23:48.320 massively viable?
00:23:49.420 Maybe I need to do
00:23:50.360 something else in your life.
00:23:50.880 When we're saying
00:23:50.920 if something goes wrong,
00:23:51.680 we're talking about
00:23:52.320 people getting violently
00:23:53.580 hurt or killed.
00:23:55.260 Yeah, clearly.
00:23:56.180 People that you brushed over.
00:23:57.840 But it's clear
00:23:58.260 when somebody clearly
00:23:59.240 violates the constitutional right.
00:24:00.980 And when you're,
00:24:01.720 when you violate
00:24:02.240 a constitutional right,
00:24:03.120 qualified immunity
00:24:03.800 doesn't apply to you.
00:24:05.000 And that's what I'm talking about.
00:24:06.000 It does not.
00:24:06.500 And Angela,
00:24:06.780 don't do that.
00:24:07.340 It does not.
00:24:08.700 I thought that was
00:24:09.840 the definition.
00:24:10.600 No, it does not.
00:24:12.260 I thought that was
00:24:12.480 the definition.
00:24:12.960 No, it does not.
00:24:13.600 If you,
00:24:14.200 if you carry yourself
00:24:15.360 outside of the confines
00:24:16.980 of your training
00:24:17.680 and the protocols
00:24:18.320 of that department,
00:24:19.140 qualified immunity
00:24:19.760 doesn't apply to you.
00:24:21.240 That's not true.
00:24:22.280 That is very true.
00:24:23.300 That is very true.
00:24:24.020 That is patently false.
00:24:24.540 That is patently true.
00:24:26.160 And we need to make sure
00:24:26.860 we have that accurate.
00:24:27.760 Okay, listen,
00:24:28.240 qualified immunity
00:24:28.980 is a legal doctrine
00:24:29.860 that protects government
00:24:30.600 officials from civil lawsuits
00:24:32.320 when they perform their jobs
00:24:33.440 unless they clearly
00:24:34.220 violate a constitutional right.
00:24:35.360 That's exactly
00:24:35.680 what I'm saying.
00:24:36.140 Oh, total knockout.
00:24:39.720 Total, look at,
00:24:41.720 what was the key here?
00:24:44.260 Two things stand out
00:24:45.420 in particular.
00:24:46.360 And this is a lesson
00:24:47.340 I want every Republican
00:24:48.620 who's in any way
00:24:49.340 in public life
00:24:50.060 from the U.S. Capitol
00:24:52.620 down to the PTA,
00:24:53.740 I want you to write this down.
00:24:56.120 First of all,
00:24:58.200 he's calm.
00:24:59.280 He's calm,
00:25:00.360 he's firm,
00:25:01.440 he's direct,
00:25:02.480 but he's calm
00:25:03.220 the whole time.
00:25:03.980 Even as that woman
00:25:04.820 that's trying to grill him
00:25:06.680 is starting to get
00:25:07.680 a little emotional,
00:25:08.360 he's just remaining
00:25:09.020 calm but firm.
00:25:10.120 But second of all,
00:25:12.120 he knew his stuff.
00:25:14.800 He knew the issue well.
00:25:18.020 He was able to recall
00:25:19.360 the precise definition
00:25:21.140 that he was talking about.
00:25:22.580 And he was confident enough
00:25:24.000 in what he knew
00:25:25.020 to stand firm on it.
00:25:26.820 The minute
00:25:27.480 that you hear in a debate,
00:25:29.300 that's not true.
00:25:31.140 You are now
00:25:32.000 in a rhetorical fight
00:25:33.160 to the death.
00:25:33.660 because
00:25:35.720 one of you
00:25:37.200 is going to lose
00:25:38.320 a lot of credibility.
00:25:39.480 If you are arguing
00:25:40.480 not over
00:25:41.280 first principles even,
00:25:43.880 or not over
00:25:45.380 an interpretation
00:25:46.720 of something,
00:25:47.780 or not over
00:25:49.020 a preferred
00:25:50.580 policy proposal,
00:25:52.680 but if you're just
00:25:53.440 arguing over
00:25:54.580 basic facts,
00:25:57.420 one of you
00:25:59.360 is going to lose.
00:26:01.520 And so,
00:26:02.340 she did it.
00:26:02.800 She threw down that.
00:26:03.500 She goes,
00:26:03.940 that's not true.
00:26:04.760 He goes,
00:26:05.020 no,
00:26:05.220 it is true.
00:26:06.700 And then that other guy,
00:26:07.620 Charlemagne,
00:26:08.080 who's the host of the show,
00:26:09.180 he says,
00:26:09.440 well,
00:26:09.720 man,
00:26:09.980 we don't need to sit here
00:26:11.220 arguing about this.
00:26:11.820 I can just Google it.
00:26:13.500 And you could see Byron,
00:26:14.860 I don't know,
00:26:15.200 did he catch Charlemagne
00:26:16.920 out of the corner of his eye?
00:26:18.580 He didn't try to double down
00:26:20.020 and fight
00:26:21.080 and fight what's-her-face
00:26:21.920 on it.
00:26:22.980 He just let it go.
00:26:23.700 He said,
00:26:23.840 no,
00:26:24.060 it just,
00:26:24.520 it is true.
00:26:25.160 And Charlemagne looks up,
00:26:25.780 he's like,
00:26:26.000 oh yeah,
00:26:26.280 it turns out Byron's right.
00:26:28.440 Masterclass.
00:26:30.840 Absolutely killer.
00:26:32.780 Between Byron
00:26:34.080 and J.D. Vance
00:26:36.220 and Vivek Ramaswamy
00:26:37.980 and this whole crop
00:26:40.080 of young Republican politicians,
00:26:42.840 I feel great
00:26:44.920 about Republicans'
00:26:47.240 rhetorical skill.
00:26:48.580 I don't see any analog
00:26:50.380 on the left.
00:26:52.960 Now,
00:26:53.180 speaking of debates,
00:26:54.200 President Trump has just come out,
00:26:55.260 he has said definitively,
00:26:56.960 no more debates
00:26:58.300 in 2024.
00:26:59.720 He posted to Truth Social,
00:27:02.380 Lan Kamala
00:27:03.160 just put out a request
00:27:04.000 for another debate
00:27:04.600 because they want,
00:27:05.540 they lost so badly tonight.
00:27:07.340 Again,
00:27:07.800 it's like the fighter who lost
00:27:09.040 gets up and says,
00:27:09.820 I want a rematch.
00:27:10.580 I beat Biden.
00:27:11.280 I then beat her
00:27:11.900 and I'm not looking to do it again
00:27:13.040 too far down the line.
00:27:14.380 Votes are already cast
00:27:15.080 and I'm leading big in the polls.
00:27:16.700 I'll make America great again.
00:27:17.840 She's incapable of it.
00:27:18.880 So,
00:27:19.680 Trump had already said
00:27:21.240 he probably wasn't doing
00:27:22.200 another debate.
00:27:23.520 After the VP debate,
00:27:25.000 Trump coming out and saying,
00:27:26.120 definitively,
00:27:26.740 it's over,
00:27:27.420 no chance,
00:27:28.260 not doing it.
00:27:29.680 That's a vote of confidence
00:27:30.780 in J.D.
00:27:32.000 That means J.D.
00:27:32.820 did his job.
00:27:34.000 Because if Trump
00:27:34.760 did another debate now,
00:27:36.240 that just opens up
00:27:37.140 the opportunity
00:27:37.680 for some missed moment,
00:27:39.000 some misunderstanding,
00:27:40.220 some flub.
00:27:41.480 Why would you do that?
00:27:42.180 If you've already
00:27:43.340 landed the debates
00:27:45.800 on,
00:27:46.320 first,
00:27:47.140 Trump doing so well
00:27:48.500 in the first debate
00:27:49.100 that he actually
00:27:49.660 blew away
00:27:50.820 the Democrat nominee,
00:27:52.020 no longer the nominee,
00:27:53.680 then the second debate,
00:27:55.220 Trump versus Kamala,
00:27:56.840 basically a draw.
00:27:58.200 Kamala did have
00:27:58.800 some good moments
00:27:59.540 in fairness,
00:28:00.040 but Trump had a lot
00:28:01.220 of great moments
00:28:01.780 in there too,
00:28:02.500 and it didn't,
00:28:04.040 it was a good debate.
00:28:06.300 Then,
00:28:06.880 you end with J.D.,
00:28:09.700 basically doing
00:28:11.020 the VP version,
00:28:12.160 so the less significant
00:28:12.860 version of what Trump
00:28:13.860 did in the first debate.
00:28:15.540 Why would you,
00:28:16.300 why would you risk it?
00:28:18.040 It's like you go,
00:28:18.520 you take the SAT,
00:28:19.740 and you get a 1590
00:28:21.540 or something,
00:28:22.140 you know,
00:28:22.320 you get almost
00:28:22.800 a perfect score.
00:28:24.160 Why would you go,
00:28:26.040 why would you take
00:28:26.940 the test again?
00:28:27.660 You could only
00:28:28.080 lose points.
00:28:29.520 Things would appear
00:28:30.740 to be,
00:28:31.260 at least on the
00:28:32.160 ground voter level,
00:28:34.480 looking up for Trump,
00:28:35.540 even CBS News
00:28:36.300 admitting that Trump
00:28:38.740 is doing pretty well,
00:28:39.580 portraying a Milwaukee
00:28:40.640 resident,
00:28:41.200 a black woman,
00:28:42.880 describing why
00:28:43.480 she wants to vote
00:28:43.980 for Trump.
00:28:44.980 I am voting
00:28:45.400 for Donald Trump
00:28:46.140 in 2024.
00:28:47.700 Abergren says
00:28:48.360 she felt safer
00:28:49.480 when Trump
00:28:50.300 was president.
00:28:51.320 The city is ran
00:28:52.340 by Democrats,
00:28:53.160 the county is ran
00:28:53.860 by Democrats,
00:28:54.620 and they have done
00:28:55.500 nothing to stop
00:28:56.420 the crime.
00:28:57.220 There it is.
00:28:59.660 Milwaukee,
00:29:00.380 you don't generally
00:29:01.040 think of Milwaukee
00:29:01.760 residents voting
00:29:02.420 for Trump.
00:29:03.220 You don't generally
00:29:04.160 think of women
00:29:04.800 voting for Trump.
00:29:05.580 You don't generally
00:29:06.020 think of black women
00:29:07.180 in Milwaukee
00:29:07.980 voting for Trump.
00:29:09.740 Now,
00:29:10.260 maybe this woman's
00:29:10.940 a lifelong Republican
00:29:12.020 conservative,
00:29:12.820 I don't know.
00:29:14.160 But,
00:29:14.840 if she's just
00:29:16.560 deciding later on,
00:29:17.840 if it's really
00:29:18.360 as CBS portrays here,
00:29:20.420 one thing
00:29:21.200 that could probably
00:29:22.200 get me to vote
00:29:23.140 for someone
00:29:23.740 is if the other guy
00:29:25.020 is threatening
00:29:26.020 my life,
00:29:27.140 if the other guy
00:29:29.040 is Kamala Harris,
00:29:31.060 who is bailing out
00:29:32.060 violent rioters,
00:29:33.200 if the other guy
00:29:34.000 is Tim Walls,
00:29:34.800 who allowed his city
00:29:35.600 to burn to the ground,
00:29:37.660 and I'm here,
00:29:38.940 and I'm a resident
00:29:40.100 of a swing state,
00:29:42.120 even more than
00:29:44.760 I'm worried about
00:29:45.260 immigration,
00:29:45.900 even more than
00:29:46.340 I'm worried about
00:29:46.820 the so-called
00:29:47.520 social issues,
00:29:48.500 maybe even more
00:29:49.440 than I'm worried
00:29:49.900 about the economy,
00:29:51.060 I'm thinking,
00:29:52.180 hey,
00:29:52.320 on whose watch
00:29:54.080 am I going
00:29:54.600 to be safe
00:29:55.560 in my person
00:29:56.740 and my property,
00:29:57.600 on whose watch
00:29:58.680 do I not need
00:29:59.380 to go to bed
00:29:59.840 at night
00:30:00.100 worrying about
00:30:00.700 my kids
00:30:01.300 being violently
00:30:03.020 attacked?
00:30:04.600 In this race,
00:30:05.820 it's eminently
00:30:07.620 clear,
00:30:08.200 it's Trump.
00:30:09.900 Now,
00:30:11.060 speaking of
00:30:12.080 realignment
00:30:12.640 and people
00:30:13.320 shifting their
00:30:14.640 allegiances,
00:30:17.500 J.D. Vance
00:30:18.120 just showed up
00:30:18.900 to the
00:30:20.540 Fireman's Union
00:30:21.960 and the
00:30:23.580 Firefighters Union,
00:30:25.460 even though
00:30:25.980 firefighters are
00:30:26.580 tough guys,
00:30:27.960 it's a union,
00:30:28.780 so the unions
00:30:29.300 often back
00:30:30.160 Democrats.
00:30:31.520 The liberal
00:30:32.220 media are
00:30:33.760 playing this
00:30:34.460 clip and
00:30:35.260 saying,
00:30:35.640 look at this,
00:30:36.140 J.D. Vance
00:30:36.620 shows up to
00:30:37.200 the Fireman's
00:30:37.920 Union and
00:30:38.720 he got
00:30:39.160 booed.
00:30:40.180 And there
00:30:40.760 were some
00:30:41.280 boos in there.
00:30:41.780 Take a listen.
00:30:42.740 Thank you,
00:30:43.140 guys.
00:30:43.460 Thank you so
00:30:43.960 much.
00:30:44.340 Well,
00:30:44.540 Semper Fi
00:30:49.960 guys,
00:30:50.640 we got some,
00:30:51.180 it sounds like
00:30:51.640 we got some
00:30:52.260 fans and
00:30:52.760 some haters,
00:30:53.260 that's okay.
00:30:54.180 All right,
00:30:54.600 there's Vance,
00:30:55.040 so he has
00:30:55.400 some cheers
00:30:56.280 and then some
00:30:57.040 boos.
00:30:57.340 And he goes,
00:30:57.700 yeah,
00:30:57.940 we got some
00:30:59.080 fans,
00:30:59.500 we got some
00:30:59.820 haters,
00:31:00.200 that's cool.
00:31:00.860 And the
00:31:01.100 liberal media
00:31:01.580 headline,
00:31:02.800 J.D. Vance
00:31:03.640 gets booed
00:31:04.680 at the
00:31:05.120 Fireman's
00:31:05.600 Union.
00:31:06.340 I don't
00:31:06.820 know.
00:31:08.000 Because then
00:31:08.660 I look,
00:31:09.780 I say,
00:31:10.020 hey,
00:31:10.180 how was
00:31:10.500 J.D.
00:31:10.860 received?
00:31:12.180 And this is
00:31:12.860 Politico,
00:31:13.320 this is a
00:31:13.700 center-left
00:31:14.100 outlet.
00:31:15.520 Firefighters
00:31:16.280 Union
00:31:16.560 declines to
00:31:17.860 issue a
00:31:18.360 presidential
00:31:18.760 endorsement.
00:31:21.660 The
00:31:21.920 Fireman's
00:31:23.840 Union
00:31:24.100 was the
00:31:25.640 first union
00:31:26.560 to endorse
00:31:27.180 Joe Biden
00:31:27.640 in 2019.
00:31:29.140 It's not
00:31:29.780 even just
00:31:30.200 that like
00:31:30.640 most unions,
00:31:32.000 they go and
00:31:32.520 historically have
00:31:33.640 endorsed
00:31:34.140 Democrats.
00:31:35.680 First union.
00:31:37.380 Now they
00:31:38.100 won't endorse.
00:31:39.020 A non-endorsement
00:31:39.960 of Kamala
00:31:40.420 is effectively
00:31:41.560 an endorsement
00:31:42.440 of Trump
00:31:42.780 for these
00:31:43.200 unions.
00:31:43.500 The
00:31:43.980 Teamsters
00:31:44.380 won't
00:31:44.840 endorse
00:31:45.120 the
00:31:45.300 Democrat.
00:31:47.260 That is
00:31:48.280 effectively
00:31:48.960 an endorsement
00:31:49.660 of Trump.
00:31:50.780 This is
00:31:51.080 the loudest
00:31:52.200 reaction.
00:31:52.820 Forget about
00:31:53.380 yelling boo
00:31:54.100 or this
00:31:54.740 or that
00:31:55.120 in the room.
00:31:55.720 The loudest
00:31:56.360 reaction you
00:31:56.980 can hear
00:31:57.220 from these
00:31:57.540 unions is
00:31:58.300 that they
00:31:58.560 will not
00:31:59.060 endorse the
00:31:59.440 Democrats,
00:31:59.940 the Democrats
00:32:00.400 that they've
00:32:00.700 endorsed for
00:32:01.140 decades.
00:32:01.660 that is
00:32:02.460 a sign
00:32:02.960 of real
00:32:04.760 political
00:32:05.320 realignment.
00:32:06.160 Now,
00:32:06.760 when you
00:32:07.440 want to
00:32:07.800 follow
00:32:08.720 this
00:32:09.520 beautiful
00:32:09.920 realignment,

00:32:45.780 Hi,
00:32:46.280 Michael.
00:32:46.620 My question
00:32:47.020 is,
00:32:47.440 how can I
00:32:47.800 talk to
00:32:48.120 my liberal
00:32:48.760 sister from
00:32:49.400 Denver about
00:32:50.080 abortion so
00:32:51.280 that she at
00:32:51.680 least doesn't
00:32:52.140 have this
00:32:52.580 view of me
00:32:53.060 as some
00:32:53.500 misogynistic
00:32:54.420 right-wing
00:32:54.900 extremist?
00:32:55.920 For context,
00:32:56.700 we had our
00:32:57.000 first conversation
00:32:57.740 about abortion
00:32:58.360 recently.
00:32:59.460 Since then,
00:32:59.920 she has been
00:33:00.280 sending me
00:33:00.660 articles and
00:33:01.260 texts,
00:33:01.700 all of which
00:33:02.200 essentially say
00:33:03.180 pro-lifers don't
00:33:04.020 care about
00:33:04.460 women,
00:33:04.980 I don't care
00:33:05.580 about women,
00:33:06.400 and additionally,
00:33:07.100 she doesn't
00:33:07.440 expect me to
00:33:08.040 understand or
00:33:08.700 care because
00:33:09.380 I'm not a
00:33:09.800 woman myself
00:33:10.460 and because
00:33:11.960 I'm just
00:33:12.400 forcing my
00:33:13.000 religious ideology
00:33:13.900 on women,
00:33:15.100 and therefore,
00:33:15.860 I don't believe
00:33:16.620 in religious
00:33:17.040 freedom either.
00:33:18.540 So,
00:33:19.400 I'm afraid
00:33:20.500 that based
00:33:21.160 on the biased
00:33:23.220 media she
00:33:23.760 consumes and
00:33:25.000 everything she's
00:33:26.700 been saying
00:33:27.140 to me recently
00:33:27.800 that our
00:33:28.360 relationship has
00:33:29.040 been hurt
00:33:29.480 by this
00:33:29.920 subject,
00:33:30.660 and I would
00:33:31.680 appreciate any
00:33:32.540 tips on talking
00:33:33.780 to her about
00:33:34.560 this in a
00:33:35.900 charitable and
00:33:36.640 compassionate way
00:33:37.500 so that she
00:33:38.380 understands my
00:33:41.720 views are
00:33:42.520 caring about
00:33:43.400 both the
00:33:44.080 child and
00:33:44.660 mother completely
00:33:46.700 and totally.
00:33:48.380 Thank you,
00:33:49.040 Michael.
00:33:49.280 Bye.
00:33:50.920 First question
00:33:51.620 to ask,
00:33:52.260 sorry that you're
00:33:52.880 having problems
00:33:53.220 with your sister,
00:33:53.920 first question
00:33:54.900 to ask is,
00:33:57.200 and ask
00:33:57.720 yourself,
00:33:58.100 I'm not saying
00:33:58.420 you have to
00:33:58.660 ask her this,
00:34:00.100 has your
00:34:00.500 sister had
00:34:00.900 an abortion?
00:34:02.340 According to
00:34:02.860 the Guttmacher
00:34:03.320 Institute,
00:34:03.880 which is the
00:34:04.220 think tank for
00:34:04.700 Planned Parenthood,
00:34:05.460 one in four
00:34:05.980 women will have
00:34:06.880 an abortion at
00:34:07.360 some point in
00:34:07.700 their life,
00:34:08.420 and that number
00:34:09.160 seems really high.
00:34:10.280 I sort of
00:34:10.800 believe it.
00:34:11.380 I know a number
00:34:11.920 of women who
00:34:12.400 have had abortions.
00:34:14.240 Has your sister
00:34:14.740 had an abortion?
00:34:15.680 I think many of
00:34:17.200 the most vocally,
00:34:18.140 not all,
00:34:18.460 but many of
00:34:19.280 the most radically,
00:34:20.840 vociferously pro-abortion
00:34:22.200 women have had
00:34:24.620 abortions.
00:34:26.000 And so,
00:34:26.860 as a defense
00:34:27.420 mechanism,
00:34:28.040 they have to
00:34:28.660 defend abortion
00:34:29.320 as a political
00:34:29.820 matter.
00:34:30.780 And they have
00:34:31.480 to do it
00:34:31.980 because the
00:34:34.100 alternative is
00:34:35.120 they have to
00:34:35.780 look themselves
00:34:36.340 in the mirror
00:34:36.920 and admit
00:34:38.840 that they
00:34:39.260 committed murder.
00:34:41.420 Not just any
00:34:42.320 murder,
00:34:42.900 that they
00:34:43.240 murdered their
00:34:43.900 own child,
00:34:44.980 and that is
00:34:45.420 just really
00:34:46.720 hard to do.
00:34:48.460 Okay,
00:34:49.100 so I think
00:34:50.160 that's a big
00:34:51.020 part of it.
00:34:51.560 The arguments
00:34:52.360 your sister
00:34:52.780 is making
00:34:53.240 are totally
00:34:54.340 scattershot
00:34:54.980 and ridiculous.
00:34:55.680 She says,
00:34:56.120 if you don't
00:34:56.980 think babies
00:34:57.440 should be
00:34:57.760 murdered,
00:34:58.160 that you
00:34:58.440 don't believe
00:34:59.840 in religious
00:35:00.400 freedom or
00:35:01.240 something like
00:35:01.800 that.
00:35:02.760 But of course,
00:35:03.600 you could flip
00:35:04.260 that on its
00:35:04.620 head and say,
00:35:05.020 well,
00:35:05.200 you're demanding
00:35:05.900 that we live
00:35:07.220 in a country
00:35:07.660 that sacrifices
00:35:08.520 babies,
00:35:09.140 so you're
00:35:09.440 demanding
00:35:09.940 that paganism
00:35:11.620 be the religion
00:35:12.660 of the land,
00:35:13.260 and you're
00:35:13.740 infringing on
00:35:14.340 my freedom
00:35:15.140 to live in a
00:35:15.840 country that
00:35:16.280 does not
00:35:16.700 sacrifice babies
00:35:17.740 to Moloch.
00:35:18.840 Or even if
00:35:19.720 you wanted
00:35:20.000 to say it
00:35:20.440 in a more
00:35:22.400 secular way,
00:35:24.180 say,
00:35:24.440 well,
00:35:24.540 you're demanding
00:35:25.280 that we live
00:35:25.800 in a country
00:35:26.280 that is
00:35:26.640 effectively
00:35:27.160 atheistic,
00:35:28.760 that does not
00:35:30.100 tolerate the
00:35:30.880 public expression
00:35:32.100 and a public
00:35:32.480 life of
00:35:32.860 Christianity,
00:35:33.440 so that you're
00:35:34.120 forcing liberalism
00:35:35.480 on me.
00:35:36.960 If she says,
00:35:37.800 well,
00:35:37.840 I just want
00:35:38.180 women to have
00:35:38.520 choice,
00:35:39.120 right,
00:35:39.480 you're making
00:35:39.860 an idol of
00:35:40.440 choice,
00:35:40.780 you are forcing
00:35:41.540 the totalitarian
00:35:43.180 ideology of
00:35:44.180 liberalism on
00:35:45.020 me,
00:35:45.360 even though
00:35:46.040 my religious
00:35:46.600 views are
00:35:47.200 not liberal.
00:35:48.760 So some
00:35:49.640 view is going
00:35:50.240 to predominate.
00:35:51.200 You just want
00:35:52.240 your view to
00:35:52.660 predominate,
00:35:53.140 and I think
00:35:53.400 my view should
00:35:53.920 predominate,
00:35:54.460 and it happens
00:35:55.100 that you,
00:35:56.200 not your sister,
00:35:56.840 but you,
00:35:57.740 are more
00:35:58.680 correct.
00:36:00.320 If it is the
00:36:01.480 case, as it is
00:36:02.120 for many women,
00:36:02.940 that they really
00:36:04.000 support abortion
00:36:04.720 because they've
00:36:08.620 had an abortion
00:36:09.440 themselves,
00:36:11.360 then the thing
00:36:12.100 to impress
00:36:12.480 upon them
00:36:12.900 is,
00:36:15.020 it's paradoxical,
00:36:16.860 but it's
00:36:17.180 twofold.
00:36:18.420 You have to
00:36:19.120 impress upon
00:36:19.580 them that they
00:36:20.560 really are much
00:36:21.660 worse than they
00:36:22.700 admit they are,
00:36:23.820 they are morally
00:36:24.680 far more broken
00:36:26.880 and degraded
00:36:27.780 than they admit
00:36:28.400 they are,
00:36:29.180 and simultaneously
00:36:30.740 there is
00:36:32.100 redemption,
00:36:33.140 and they could
00:36:34.140 be made
00:36:35.000 better,
00:36:36.280 and they could
00:36:36.740 be made more
00:36:37.560 whole than they
00:36:38.520 ever dreamt in
00:36:39.220 their wildest
00:36:39.660 dreams.
00:36:40.460 This is the
00:36:41.780 paradox of it,
00:36:43.800 I suppose,
00:36:44.240 but it's a trick
00:36:44.700 of the devil.
00:36:45.160 The devil tempts
00:36:46.140 you and says,
00:36:46.780 hey, the sin you
00:36:47.800 want to commit,
00:36:48.280 it's not that bad,
00:36:48.920 it's not a big
00:36:49.400 deal, it's your
00:36:49.940 choice, it's not
00:36:50.560 even really a baby,
00:36:51.300 it's not a person,
00:36:52.140 don't forget about
00:36:52.980 it, your career is
00:36:53.860 more important,
00:36:55.080 you can't be a
00:36:55.680 mother, your
00:36:56.780 boyfriend doesn't
00:36:57.780 love you,
00:36:58.260 you're not going
00:36:58.660 to this,
00:36:59.020 da-da-da-da-da,
00:36:59.520 it's no big deal,
00:37:00.440 just kill the baby.
00:37:01.520 And then, the
00:37:02.260 minute you do it,
00:37:03.300 the devil gets in
00:37:04.040 your ear and says,
00:37:04.840 wow, you're the
00:37:05.420 worst person that's
00:37:06.380 ever lived, and
00:37:06.960 there's no redemption,
00:37:07.880 and no one could
00:37:08.300 ever love or
00:37:08.940 forgive you, ever.
00:37:10.480 This is it, this is
00:37:11.400 your whole life,
00:37:12.000 you better, you
00:37:12.560 better, if you
00:37:13.960 acknowledge what
00:37:15.020 you know is morally
00:37:15.720 true, you're done,
00:37:17.620 you're toast, you're
00:37:18.260 irredeemable.
00:37:19.020 That's the trick
00:37:19.680 that the devil
00:37:20.080 plays.
00:37:21.400 And he's a liar,
00:37:22.720 and he's the
00:37:23.020 father of lies, so
00:37:23.620 everything there is
00:37:24.420 a lie.
00:37:25.220 It is a big deal,
00:37:26.940 you don't really
00:37:27.820 have the freedom of
00:37:28.820 choice to murder a
00:37:29.980 baby, you don't have
00:37:30.640 any right to do
00:37:31.300 that, that it really
00:37:32.900 is your baby, and
00:37:34.120 you can be forgiven,
00:37:35.860 and you can, and
00:37:36.400 God still loves you,
00:37:37.220 but you have to
00:37:38.220 repent, and you
00:37:39.000 have to acknowledge
00:37:39.540 moral reality, or
00:37:40.440 you're just going to
00:37:40.920 spin out into
00:37:41.520 madness and continue
00:37:42.720 to make bad
00:37:43.320 arguments and drive
00:37:44.320 yourself crazy.
00:37:45.520 That's the hard
00:37:46.480 way.
00:37:47.240 Perhaps you're
00:37:48.080 asking me this
00:37:48.480 question, so I'll
00:37:49.040 give you three easy
00:37:50.440 arguments to convince
00:37:51.500 someone that abortion
00:37:52.160 is bad.
00:37:52.740 I was convinced by
00:37:53.860 arguments by a
00:37:54.580 bioethicist, in
00:37:56.700 part because I'm a
00:37:57.380 man, I suppose, and
00:37:58.720 obviously I've
00:38:00.020 certainly never had
00:38:00.520 an abortion.
00:38:02.240 But I think for a
00:38:03.900 lot of women it's
00:38:04.440 much more personal,
00:38:05.180 and I think, I
00:38:05.760 was talking to a
00:38:08.020 female friend of
00:38:09.520 mine about this, and
00:38:11.200 she said, yeah, I
00:38:11.740 think women just
00:38:12.560 gaslight themselves
00:38:13.360 basically.
00:38:15.440 Women know it's a
00:38:16.300 baby, but they just
00:38:17.160 gaslight themselves,
00:38:18.260 okay?
00:38:18.960 And so I think that's
00:38:20.420 part of it.
00:38:20.820 I think you gotta get
00:38:22.400 more to the heart of
00:38:23.080 the matter.
00:38:23.620 Okay, next question.
00:38:26.280 Hey, Michael.
00:38:27.240 I doubt that you'll be
00:38:28.120 that fond of the
00:38:29.100 origin for my
00:38:29.900 question, but bear
00:38:30.740 with me.
00:38:31.480 As conservatives, we
00:38:32.760 all know that the
00:38:33.580 modern idea of
00:38:34.300 separation of church
00:38:35.120 and state, which
00:38:35.900 tells us that we
00:38:36.640 have to separate our
00:38:37.580 religious and
00:38:38.240 spiritual beliefs from
00:38:39.320 our politics, is not
00:38:40.600 only false, but
00:38:41.560 completely impossible
00:38:42.360 because our beliefs
00:38:43.280 influence our
00:38:44.100 worldview, which in
00:38:45.200 turn defines our
00:38:45.920 politics.
00:38:46.800 However, when
00:38:47.660 researching the
00:38:48.360 origin of this
00:38:49.020 phrase, I find that
00:38:50.180 the classic meaning
00:38:50.940 of separation of
00:38:51.740 church and state is
00:38:52.620 much more literal,
00:38:54.040 referring to the
00:38:54.640 idea that the
00:38:55.200 church and the
00:38:55.800 state as
00:38:56.360 institutions are and
00:38:58.140 ought to be separate
00:38:59.100 because they have
00:39:00.280 different purposes and
00:39:01.300 goals that cannot be
00:39:02.520 properly achieved when
00:39:03.480 both are combined into
00:39:04.500 one institution, or
00:39:06.000 to put it simply, the
00:39:07.240 state should not be the
00:39:08.180 church and the church
00:39:09.140 should not be the
00:39:09.880 state.
00:39:10.960 What are your thoughts
00:39:12.280 about this traditional
00:39:13.280 meaning of the term and
00:39:14.300 where do you think the
00:39:15.100 distinction lies?
00:39:16.400 Thanks.
00:39:17.480 Excellent question,
00:39:18.880 perfectly stated, and I
00:39:20.260 totally agree with that
00:39:21.560 view.
00:39:23.240 The notion that the
00:39:24.940 state should have
00:39:25.740 nothing to do with the
00:39:26.700 church is absurd because
00:39:28.140 all political order
00:39:29.860 involves practical
00:39:31.500 morality and that
00:39:32.300 necessarily comes from
00:39:33.700 religious premises, so
00:39:34.800 there's got to be some
00:39:35.760 kind of religion, but in
00:39:37.200 pagan ancient Rome, the
00:39:39.660 religion and the state
00:39:40.900 were identical with one
00:39:42.200 another.
00:39:42.920 Not in Christian Rome, not
00:39:44.820 after Constantine, but in
00:39:47.700 pagan Rome and in some
00:39:49.300 modern establishments up to
00:39:50.720 and including the United
00:39:52.020 Kingdom.
00:39:53.260 So I agree with that
00:39:54.360 classical distinction.
00:39:55.580 That's why I followed Dante
00:39:56.980 in this.
00:39:57.680 I think that the state can
00:39:58.920 receive great light from
00:40:01.040 the spiritual power, you
00:40:03.960 know, the church, and
00:40:05.440 they should cooperate, but
00:40:06.980 they're not identical.
00:40:08.500 So this is why I'm a
00:40:10.180 Catholic and not an
00:40:10.780 Anglican.
00:40:11.360 Next question.
00:40:14.000 Hey, Michael.
00:40:14.760 Happy Friday.
00:40:15.680 I am such a huge fan of
00:40:17.620 your show and really
00:40:18.480 thankful for what you do.
00:40:20.560 With this election cycle,
00:40:22.120 naturally, when conversing
00:40:23.600 with undecided or
00:40:24.860 independent voters, January
00:40:26.800 6th comes up a lot.
00:40:29.820 I recently had a
00:40:30.900 conversation with someone
00:40:31.940 who stated that because
00:40:33.860 that incident took place
00:40:36.300 inside the Capitol
00:40:37.320 building, which is the
00:40:38.400 seat of power for
00:40:39.220 America, the location is
00:40:41.780 what made January 6th an
00:40:43.480 insurrection and worse than
00:40:45.500 the BLM riots, and thus
00:40:47.180 they could never be
00:40:48.360 convinced to vote for
00:40:49.460 Trump.
00:40:50.120 So my question for you is
00:40:51.580 what bearing does the
00:40:53.420 location of January 6th have
00:40:55.360 in these conversations, and
00:40:56.700 how would you respond to
00:40:57.820 somebody making this
00:40:58.700 argument?
00:40:59.480 Thanks.
00:41:00.320 Sure.
00:41:00.540 Well, it's a false
00:41:01.280 distinction between BLM
00:41:03.240 and the January 6th people
00:41:04.420 because BLM also attacked
00:41:05.840 federal buildings and
00:41:06.820 government buildings.
00:41:07.720 So even if you're saying,
00:41:09.180 no, it's one thing if you
00:41:10.040 burn down the Nike store
00:41:11.140 and kill people in their
00:41:12.540 private homes, but it's
00:41:14.200 another if you take
00:41:15.020 selfies at the Capitol.
00:41:16.080 Somehow the Capitol thing
00:41:16.940 is worse because it's a
00:41:17.700 government building.
00:41:18.300 No, BLM burned down
00:41:19.360 like federal courthouses,
00:41:20.360 okay, so at least lit them
00:41:22.000 on fire.
00:41:22.320 So that's a silly
00:41:23.780 distinction.
00:41:26.020 But furthermore, no,
00:41:29.260 probably you would say
00:41:31.220 in a certain sense, not
00:41:32.260 maybe not to burn
00:41:33.120 something down or to
00:41:33.760 commit acts of violence,
00:41:34.500 but to have a major
00:41:36.160 protest, it is much more
00:41:40.240 defensible to do it in a
00:41:41.880 government building or at
00:41:43.080 the U.S. Capitol than it
00:41:44.060 would be to do it at
00:41:44.640 someone's home.
00:41:45.200 So for instance, the Libs
00:41:46.940 protested outside of the
00:41:50.000 Supreme Court conservative
00:41:51.060 justices' office,
00:41:52.320 private homes.
00:41:53.820 That's illegal.
00:41:55.440 Now, it's not as though
00:41:57.100 the federal government or
00:41:57.860 even the Virginia
00:41:58.500 government did anything to
00:41:59.540 stop them, but that's
00:42:00.500 illegal.
00:42:01.020 You're not allowed to do
00:42:01.680 that.
00:42:02.620 It's actually illegal to
00:42:03.500 protest outside of a
00:42:04.180 courthouse too because the
00:42:05.400 court is supposed to have
00:42:06.240 independence and not be
00:42:07.260 swayed by the mob.
00:42:09.120 However, the private homes
00:42:10.940 have a particular kind of
00:42:12.520 protection, whereas we do
00:42:13.980 have the right to address
00:42:14.600 our grievances.
00:42:15.220 So as long as we don't get
00:42:16.180 violent or make any direct
00:42:17.200 threats or anything, you can
00:42:18.640 go and in fact are
00:42:20.800 encouraged to go to the
00:42:21.500 Capitol and air your
00:42:22.980 grievances in an orderly
00:42:24.560 way.
00:42:25.000 So your friend's argument is
00:42:26.680 a little bit weak.
00:42:28.720 Next question.
00:42:30.780 Hi, Michael.
00:42:31.900 Erin here.
00:42:32.640 Big fan.
00:42:34.180 Wanted your thoughts on
00:42:35.720 inviting children to
00:42:36.960 weddings.
00:42:37.560 So my fiance and I are
00:42:39.180 currently planning our
00:42:39.940 wedding for next year, and
00:42:41.820 we plan to have a
00:42:42.900 traditional Catholic
00:42:43.680 ceremony followed by a
00:42:45.680 more formal reception
00:42:46.880 celebration outside of the
00:42:48.260 church, obviously.
00:42:50.260 So we initially decided
00:42:51.620 that we didn't want to
00:42:52.560 invite children in our
00:42:53.640 family because we wanted
00:42:55.500 the reception in particular
00:42:57.020 to feel like an adult
00:42:57.960 event and really allow
00:42:59.960 people in our family to
00:43:01.140 enjoy themselves without
00:43:02.360 being distracted by
00:43:03.300 children running around.
00:43:04.880 But my family, who's very
00:43:07.020 Southern, has become very
00:43:08.280 offended by this decision
00:43:09.440 and thinks that we are
00:43:10.820 intentionally leaving out
00:43:12.720 members of our family from
00:43:13.960 our special day.
00:43:14.680 What are your thoughts on
00:43:16.140 this?
00:43:16.600 Am I overreacting about
00:43:17.760 children or am I right?
00:43:20.280 Looking forward to it.
00:43:23.040 Leave the kids at home.
00:43:24.260 Basically.
00:43:25.100 I'm not saying that kids
00:43:26.220 should never be invited to
00:43:27.080 weddings.
00:43:27.420 I've been to weddings that
00:43:28.480 have kids at them and it
00:43:29.480 can be very fun.
00:43:30.960 But if you would, there are
00:43:31.900 two different kinds of
00:43:32.480 weddings though.
00:43:33.200 And if you would like the
00:43:34.260 kind of wedding that is
00:43:35.340 really just for adults or
00:43:36.540 maybe really older kids or
00:43:38.220 something, then do that.
00:43:39.740 There's nothing wrong with
00:43:40.520 that.
00:43:41.360 Look, I mean, I love kids.
00:43:42.380 I'm around kids all the
00:43:43.160 time.
00:43:43.580 I got three kids in my
00:43:44.660 own.
00:43:45.180 Three under four, you
00:43:46.000 know, and we're going to
00:43:46.800 keep churning them, God
00:43:47.560 willing.
00:43:47.940 So I am not in any way
00:43:49.520 anti-kid, but it's good for
00:43:52.680 there to be adult spaces
00:43:53.820 too.
00:43:54.800 You might say, okay, if a
00:43:56.160 lot of members of your
00:43:56.840 family have a ton of kids
00:43:57.760 and they don't have a lot
00:43:58.660 of money and they can't
00:43:59.480 find a babysitter and they
00:44:00.480 got to travel and this,
00:44:01.560 and it means that a lot of
00:44:03.180 your family, not just the
00:44:03.980 kids, but a lot of the
00:44:04.820 adults in your family won't
00:44:05.720 be able to come to the
00:44:06.320 wedding because of the
00:44:07.000 kids.
00:44:07.360 And then maybe you make a
00:44:08.360 prudent judgment and you
00:44:09.100 say, okay, maybe we'll allow
00:44:10.640 kids just so that we don't
00:44:12.360 lose 50% of the guests
00:44:14.000 of our wedding.
00:44:14.640 But if, if generally
00:44:16.420 speaking, people can find
00:44:17.640 babysitters and it's only a
00:44:19.180 few people who might have
00:44:20.040 to miss because of the
00:44:20.680 kids thing and this or
00:44:21.480 that, it's okay.
00:44:23.000 It's okay for adults to
00:44:24.060 have their own spaces.
00:44:26.420 It's all right.
00:44:27.140 There are hierarchies.
00:44:28.920 There are different,
00:44:29.460 there's variety to life.
00:44:31.080 That's actually very
00:44:32.100 conservative.
00:44:33.400 It's not anti-kid for
00:44:35.240 adults to go to an
00:44:36.120 elegant affair every now
00:44:37.420 and again.
00:44:38.140 Okay, it's Fake
00:44:38.580 Headline Friday.
00:44:39.840 The rest of the show
00:44:40.540 continues now.
00:44:41.080 You do not want to miss
00:44:41.760 it.

00:44:56.780 Republicans are Nazis.
00:44:58.140 You cannot separate
00:44:59.440 yourselves from the bad
00:45:00.720 white people.
00:45:01.720 Growing up, I never
00:45:02.400 thought much about race.
00:45:03.660 It never really seemed to
00:45:04.640 matter that much.
00:45:05.500 At least not to me.
00:45:06.320 Am I racist?
00:45:07.500 I would really appreciate it
00:45:08.480 if you left.
00:45:08.780 I'm trying to learn.
00:45:09.480 I'm on this journey.
00:45:10.800 I'm going to sort this
00:45:11.540 out.
00:45:12.060 I need to go deeper
00:45:12.880 undercover.
00:45:16.380 Joining us now is Matt,
00:45:17.820 certified DEI expert.
00:45:20.000 Here's my certification.
00:45:21.020 What you're doing is you're
00:45:21.820 stretching out of your
00:45:23.260 whiteness.
00:45:23.860 This is more for you than
00:45:24.520 this for you.
00:45:24.860 Is America inherently racist?
00:45:26.420 The word inherent is
00:45:27.680 challenging there.
00:45:28.380 I want to rename the
00:45:29.060 George Washington Monument
00:45:29.920 to the George Floyd
00:45:30.840 Monument.
00:45:31.560 America is racist to its
00:45:32.800 bones.
00:45:33.400 So inherently.
00:45:33.980 Yeah, this country is a
00:45:35.280 piece of...
00:45:35.980 White folks.
00:45:38.380 White trash.
00:45:38.900 White supremacy.
00:45:39.700 White woman.
00:45:40.280 White boy.
00:45:40.800 Is there a black person
00:45:41.800 around here?
00:45:42.100 There's a black person
00:45:42.780 right here.
00:45:43.420 Does he not exist?
00:45:46.000 Hi, Robin.
00:45:46.760 Hi.
00:45:47.100 What's your name?
00:45:48.060 I'm Matt.
00:45:48.560 I just had to ask who
00:45:49.280 you are because you have
00:45:50.200 to be careful.
00:45:51.160 Never be too careful.
00:45:53.080 In theaters now.
00:45:54.240 Rated PG-13.
