00:01:29.200 I'm Michael Knowles.

00:01:30.120 This is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:01:31.000 Welcome back to the show.

00:01:50.940 Speaking of the White House, a real knife through the heart today.

00:01:54.180 A real knife through my creamy sweater.

00:01:56.840 I'm a tall glass of eggnog right now in this sweater, and I got a knife in my chest because

00:02:02.600 Sabrina Carpenter, who I thought was the secret right-winger pop star, she has disavowed the 0.93

00:02:09.360 White House for using one of her songs to be the soundtrack to ice, tracking down, chasing,

00:02:16.960 tackling illegals.

00:02:18.120 And we'll get into the controversy.

00:02:19.860 First, I want to tell you about Balance of Nature.

00:03:37.400 Most important story.

00:03:40.240 President Trump's in the cabinet meeting yesterday.

00:03:43.300 And these cabinet meetings, they drag on and on and on.

00:03:45.960 They always do, regardless of administration.

00:03:48.600 Trump is there.

00:03:49.700 And he just decides to interject with a rant that I think, like, you know when it's Thanksgiving

00:03:57.760 or it's Christmas or you're just going to dinner with your girlfriend's parents.

00:04:01.680 And, you know, it says, hey, please don't, please don't get political, please don't.

00:04:07.100 And you say, fine, okay, all right, all right, I'm not going to get political.

00:04:11.140 And then you have, like, one sip of beer.

00:04:15.440 And then, in my experience, then you do what Trump did in the cabinet meeting yesterday.

00:04:20.940 And they contribute nothing.

00:04:24.780 The welfare is like 88%.

00:04:26.860 They contribute nothing.

00:04:29.960 I don't want them in our country, I'll be honest with you.

00:04:32.500 Oh, I don't want them.

00:04:33.200 Oh, that's not politically correct.

00:04:34.960 I don't care.

00:04:36.000 I don't want them in our country.

00:04:37.480 Their country is no good for a reason. 0.99

00:04:39.920 Their country stinks. 0.98

00:04:41.680 And we don't want them in our country. 0.98

00:04:43.400 I could say that about other countries, too.

00:04:46.040 I could say it about other countries, too.

00:04:48.180 We don't want them to help.

00:04:49.200 We got to, we have to rebuild our country.

00:04:52.060 You know, our country is at a tipping point.

00:04:54.800 We could go bad.

00:04:55.980 We're at a tipping point.

00:04:57.280 I don't know if people mind me saying that, but I'm saying it.

00:05:00.700 We could go one way or the other.

00:05:03.180 And we're going to go the wrong way if we keep taking in garbage into our country. 1.00

00:05:08.600 Ilan Omar is garbage. 1.00

00:05:10.600 She's garbage. 1.00

00:05:11.800 Her friends are garbage. 1.00

00:05:13.700 These aren't people that work. 1.00

00:05:14.960 These aren't people that say, let's go, come on, let's make this place great.

00:05:18.040 These are people that do nothing but complain.

00:05:21.600 They complain.

00:05:23.240 And from where they came from, they got nothing.

00:05:26.720 You know, they came from paradise and they said, this isn't paradise.

00:05:30.840 But when they come from hell and they complain and do nothing but...

00:05:37.480 We don't want them in our country. 0.78

00:05:40.160 Let them go back to where they came from and fix it.

00:05:43.340 Thank you very much.

00:05:49.700 And that's how it goes, by the way, at Thanksgiving, too.

00:05:52.260 By the way, and thank you, Aunt Sally.

00:05:54.600 The turkey's delicious.

00:05:56.700 And in addition to that...

00:05:58.780 But excuse me, Mr. President, what do you really feel about...

00:06:01.220 I just...

00:06:02.140 When I was a kid, I grew up in the Clinton administration when I was a kid.

00:06:07.140 Just take a little bit of the Bush administration.

00:06:08.380 Then Clinton, then Bush, and Obama.

00:06:11.480 And then you just couldn't hear this, even though a lot of people thought it. 1.00

00:06:15.080 Because the Somalis, for instance, come here and they defraud the taxpayer and they rape people. 1.00

00:06:22.720 And they discriminate against Christians in towns that were Christian not so long ago. 1.00

00:06:28.400 And they marry their siblings. 0.51

00:06:30.400 And they just...

00:06:31.040 It's just awful.

00:06:32.440 It's just awful.

00:06:33.600 And they contribute nothing to...

00:06:34.860 But both parties would have to say, well...

00:06:37.940 You know, I mean, listen.

00:06:38.660 There are challenges introduced by immigration.

00:06:41.180 And we need to make sure that we have the care for the...

00:06:45.000 And there are strength.

00:06:46.360 And there are diversity in our strength.

00:06:48.400 And Trump just comes out.

00:06:50.300 And he says what 70% of Americans think.

00:06:55.060 Probably what 80% of Americans think.

00:06:57.440 And what 60% of Americans would like to say. 0.83

00:07:01.060 And he goes, yeah, they're awful.

00:07:04.520 I don't want them here. 0.64

00:07:06.540 They contribute nothing. 1.00

00:07:08.640 They're garbage. 1.00

00:07:10.200 I know he's speaking specifically about Ilhan Omar here. 1.00

00:07:13.400 So that's... 0.84

00:07:14.220 He's not calling a whole group of people garbage, it seems to me. 1.00

00:07:17.860 He's calling a smaller group of people, like Ilhan Omar and her direct associates, garbage. 1.00

00:07:23.720 We don't want them. 1.00

00:07:25.260 They come here.

00:07:26.640 They say their land is paradise.

00:07:28.540 And yet they...

00:07:29.000 I can't help but notice they all come here. 0.92

00:07:30.340 And their country is hell. 0.93

00:07:32.900 Anyway, I'll have the pork chop. 0.93

00:07:34.500 Thank you.

00:07:35.100 Thanks very much.

00:07:35.900 Yeah, could I have a Diet Coke?

00:07:37.240 Right.

00:07:38.000 This is the issue.

00:07:39.200 And it's not...

00:07:40.460 Look, it's cathartic.

00:07:41.320 That's why people like this.

00:07:42.700 Because he is saying what we're all thinking.

00:07:44.080 Which is a big part of the Trump rise.

00:07:45.700 But it matters, actually, to the substance of the immigration debate.

00:07:51.120 Because he lays it all on the table.

00:07:53.680 The Somalis... 1.00

00:07:54.660 I don't even mean to beat up on the Somalis in particular, but they just got caught in 1.00

00:07:58.460 a massive fraud scandal and they're funding terrorists. 0.92

00:08:00.300 So let's talk about the Somalis. 0.60

00:08:02.060 They contribute nothing to America. 0.97

00:08:05.220 They bring nothing good.

00:08:06.900 The only good thing you can say about them is that they are children of God, which is a...

00:08:12.920 But in terms of immigration, they bring nothing.

00:08:18.280 So you have to ask, why are we taking them?

00:08:21.560 Why are we taking in so many of them?

00:08:23.260 Why are we allowing them to take over whole cities? 0.57

00:08:27.340 Why?

00:08:28.180 And the only explanation is because we feel bad.

00:08:34.700 Because we hate our country, or we hate ourselves, or we just kind of feel bad.

00:08:42.700 And I kind of feel bad for the Somalians, too.

00:08:44.940 What are you going to do?

00:08:45.340 You're going to take the whole world in?

00:08:46.240 No, that doesn't make any sense.

00:08:47.940 If you take the whole world in, then you haven't made anyone else's life better.

00:08:50.520 You've just made...

00:08:51.160 You've just extinguished America.

00:08:53.800 But with the Somalis, they're not even a people that we have aggrieved.

00:08:56.540 You could make the argument, we've aggrieved the Apache or something.

00:09:00.160 We've aggrieved blacks who came over here as slaves. 1.00

00:09:04.200 What about the Somalis?

00:09:05.060 What are you talking about?

00:09:05.800 We haven't done anything to the Somalis.

00:09:07.900 We've only ever tried to help the Somalis.

00:09:09.900 But we can't because they won't help themselves.

00:09:12.620 So he clarifies that.

00:09:14.400 And this, to me, is the key.

00:09:17.080 Some of us called it 10 years ago.

00:09:19.400 The immigration conversation has moved dramatically to the right.

00:09:22.540 It used to be, do you support massive illegal immigration,

00:09:25.520 or just massive legal immigration?

00:09:27.540 Now, the question is, do you support drastically reducing all migration,

00:09:31.560 or do you support deporting naturalized citizens?

00:09:34.380 We have moved that Overton window real, real far, far over.

00:09:39.500 There is political reason for Trump to beat up on the Somalis.

00:09:41.780 Also, it's just hilarious when he goes on that rant.

00:09:45.240 Because the rant describes a really jarring reality.

00:09:47.360 Here's just one example.

00:09:49.060 Hat tip to end wokeness for posting this one around.

00:09:51.460 There's this Somali guy who was arrested for rape, 0.75

00:09:56.480 abducting and raping a 12-year-old girl. 0.99

00:09:59.040 He abducts and rapes a 12-year-old girl. 0.96

00:10:00.960 And then the Al-Ishan Islamic Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. 0.79

00:10:04.880 St. Paul, Minnesota.

00:10:07.080 St. Paul's not rolling over in his grave because St. Paul's in heaven.

00:10:10.140 But it's a town named after St. Paul.

00:10:13.700 And now there's an Al-Ishan Islamic Center there.

00:10:17.200 This is a letter from July of this year.

00:10:19.520 It says,

00:10:20.180 Dear Judge, we, the undersigned members of the Somali community,

00:10:22.780 write this letter to express our strong and heartfelt support of Kalinli Deary. 0.66

00:10:26.320 He's the guy who raped and abducted the 12-year-old girl.

00:10:29.120 A member of our community.

00:10:31.060 Many of us first met Kalini through our shared journey as Somali refugees,

00:10:35.480 arriving in this country with little more than hope and determination to rebuild our lives.

00:10:39.900 Like so many of us, Kalini has faced the challenge of starting over in a new culture.

00:10:44.720 Just stop it right there.

00:10:45.840 Stop it right there.

00:10:46.500 The thing goes on.

00:10:48.140 Oh, he's a devoted family man. 0.99

00:10:50.020 Look, he occasionally abducts and rapes a 12-year-old girl, 0.99

00:10:52.180 but he's a devoted family man. 0.98

00:10:54.280 But just stop it right there after this.

00:10:56.360 Look, here's the excuse.

00:10:58.900 He has to adjust to a new culture. 0.99

00:11:01.700 You know, in our culture, we abduct and rape 12-year-old girls. 0.99

00:11:07.100 In your culture, I guess you don't do that.

00:11:09.440 And look, we want to be good Americans, and we're going to try to adapt.

00:11:15.000 But you've got to give us time. 0.98

00:11:16.340 We're not going to stop abducting and raping 12-year-old girls all of a sudden. 0.99

00:11:19.760 You can't expect that. 0.99

00:11:20.880 We're from a different culture.

00:11:23.020 And frankly, how dare you judge our culture?

00:11:26.240 Okay?

00:11:26.480 What gives you the right?

00:11:29.020 Where do you get off judging our culture?

00:11:31.740 It's cultural erasure.

00:11:33.800 Trying to tell you, get up on your high horse. 0.94

00:11:35.900 Oh, you need to pay your taxes and register to vote and don't abduct and rape children. 0.99

00:11:45.440 Oh, how dare you? 0.99

00:11:46.660 How dare you?

00:11:47.660 That's what they're saying.

00:11:48.940 I remember I was in school, and I was having a debate with a very, very liberal friend of mine.

00:11:55.540 Very feminist, very liberal.

00:11:56.860 Probably wouldn't call me a friend anymore.

00:11:58.040 But we were having this debate.

00:12:00.300 And at the time, there was this conversation about how there was a rape culture on campuses. 0.91

00:12:08.340 You might remember, this was 10, 15 years ago.

00:12:10.000 There's a rape culture on campuses. 1.00

00:12:11.840 People are trying to argue that Harvard Yard was more dangerous for women than Botswana or something.

00:12:16.960 So it's a rape culture. 1.00

00:12:18.880 And it was just because the liberals and the feminists didn't want to admit that hookup culture and promiscuous sex was bad. 1.00

00:12:23.940 So they had to find a way to make it a crime or rape.

00:12:26.460 But it was never tried in court.

00:12:27.800 It was always tried by these kangaroo courts of professors.

00:12:30.380 And it was this real jumbled knot that they twisted themselves in because they were hoisted on the petard of the sexual revolution.

00:12:37.180 In any case, they said that there's a rape culture here. 1.00

00:12:39.180 But at the same time, they would say, we can't judge any other culture.

00:12:45.620 Look, there's cultural relativism.

00:12:47.420 No culture is better than any other culture. 0.90

00:12:49.120 All cultures are different. 0.97

00:12:50.200 We need to respect all cultures.

00:12:52.620 And so the obvious follow-up was, well, if we have to respect all cultures, don't we have to respect rape culture? 0.51

00:13:01.540 How dare you, the feminists, clutch their pearls. 1.00

00:13:04.100 But it's not just a provocative question. 0.99

00:13:06.700 It's quite pertinent because Somalia is a rape culture. 1.00

00:13:11.840 Africa, the African continent is a rape culture. 1.00

00:13:14.520 They rape people there a lot in the Middle East, in the subcontinent. 1.00

00:13:19.320 That's what they do. 0.95

00:13:20.080 And so we don't like that, right?

00:13:21.520 We have a different culture.

00:13:23.660 Well, that means that if we take in immigrants, we need to exclude or severely restrict the people that we come from cultures that are discordant, that don't match up. 1.00

00:13:36.660 Now, speaking of victims, this is a story not out of Somalia and happily not out of the United States, but it's out of the UK.

00:13:44.380 A woman was physically assaulted by a man, very severely injured and assaulted by a man.

00:13:50.780 She then sent a text that called the man a fanook, called him a poof, called him a little light in the loafers.

00:13:58.660 You know what I'm talking about?

00:14:00.200 A little text that suggested he was the kind of guy that had a long handshake.

00:14:03.720 You know what I mean?

00:14:05.040 She called him gay, but she used a slur.

00:14:06.880 And so the police get involved.

00:14:10.440 Do they get involved to arrest the guy who beat up this woman, gave her a skull fracture?

00:14:14.940 No.

00:14:16.600 They show up to arrest her for using a homophobic slur.

00:14:20.180 We'll get to that momentarily.

00:14:20.880 First, I want to tell you about Chevron.

00:14:22.880 America is built on hard work and powered by American energy.

00:15:34.040 It's a woman, Elizabeth Kinney, 34-year-old woman in the UK.

00:15:42.100 Listen to the story in her own words.

00:15:45.660 I was assaulted by a male acquaintance.

00:15:50.460 Physically or sexually?

00:15:52.020 Physically.

00:15:52.560 Physically.

00:15:53.100 Physically.

00:15:53.960 It wasn't my ex-partner.

00:15:55.680 It was a friend, like a group of friends.

00:15:58.740 The female acquaintance that basically, she basically was getting jealous over me 0.99

00:16:08.320 because she started seeing my ex-partner.

00:16:11.260 So she was trying to cause trouble for me, which ended up resulting in me getting attacked.

00:16:15.860 After that, obviously, I went to the hospital and I sent her messages and pictures of my injuries

00:16:24.320 just to prove, like, what basically what she'd caused.

00:16:30.100 And obviously, I was very upset at the time.

00:16:34.400 I'd had, like, inflammation on me brain.

00:16:39.020 I had a skull fracture, which made me not really feel like myself at the time.

00:16:45.380 I was very upset and I was very, like, angry with what had happened to me,

00:16:50.980 which made me, like, say, messages that I really wouldn't have said.

00:16:57.400 Okay, so what are the messages?

00:16:58.920 What are the messages?

00:16:59.480 She sent these messages.

00:17:00.780 This guy beats her up because it's some, I don't know, like a jealous situation.

00:17:06.280 You know, she's kind of describing this in a part.

00:17:07.720 This guy beats her up, gives her a skull fracture. 0.99

00:17:09.400 And she sends these messages in which the great offense that she has committed is she 1.00

00:17:16.540 calls him a faggot. 1.00

00:17:18.420 Am I allowed to say that? 1.00

00:17:19.760 Do they bleep that?

00:17:20.600 They probably bleep that.

00:17:22.200 She calls him a friend of Dorothy.

00:17:25.720 You know what I'm talking about?

00:17:27.220 She calls him a listener of Liberace.

00:17:29.920 You know what I mean? 0.96

00:17:31.140 She calls him gay. 0.84

00:17:32.700 And she uses a slur that in the UK refers to cigarettes, too. 0.97

00:17:37.060 Well, hey, governor, you know, I'm about to go out. 1.00

00:17:39.340 They smoke a couple faggots. 1.00

00:17:40.740 You know, yeah, yeah, governor. 1.00

00:17:41.840 Yeah, right.

00:17:42.460 Can I have some more?

00:17:43.200 Yeah.

00:17:43.800 And so anyway, she uses, it doesn't seem like it's a slur, but it's not, it's not,

00:17:48.640 ain't the worst slur.

00:17:49.460 You know, it's not that bad.

00:17:50.600 Anyway, she's taking a bath. 1.00

00:17:51.760 And 11 cops show up at her house and the cops show up and they, they accuse her of committing

00:17:59.560 a crime.

00:18:00.120 The crime being that she caused a message to be sent across communications networks that 0.99

00:18:07.160 involved a hateful slur because LGBT LMNOP is a protected class in the UK.

00:18:18.800 Englishmen are not a protected class in the UK.

00:18:20.780 Certainly English women and little English girls are not a protected class. 1.00

00:18:24.520 They can be raped by Pakistani migrants all day long and the police will look the other 1.00

00:18:28.560 way. 1.00

00:18:28.740 They will know about it and they will look the other way for decades.

00:18:32.080 They're not a protected class.

00:18:34.140 But if you do weird sex stuff with people, you are a protected class.

00:18:39.500 And really, we need to get down to what this is about because it's not even just about,

00:18:46.120 I don't know, political correctness or sexual ideology or anything like that.

00:18:52.380 It goes deeper than that.

00:18:54.160 What this is about, it's not, it's not about free speech as some people are trying to pretend.

00:19:00.140 Those are all the comfortable liberal ideas.

00:19:03.180 It's about identity.

00:19:04.700 That's what this is about.

00:19:05.560 The reason that the cops are going after this lady and defending her male assailant is because

00:19:12.500 she's a white lady. 1.00

00:19:13.900 She's a regular white lady with a real British accent. 1.00

00:19:17.780 And that's why they're not defending her and they are defending the guy.

00:19:22.480 And really, they're defending the class of LGBT. 0.98

00:19:28.840 If this woman were a Pakistani man in Manchester who raped a bunch of 12-year-old girls, 0.97

00:19:35.680 the cops would never show up at his door. 0.96

00:19:38.520 They might show up at the homes of the victims.

00:19:42.860 And they might bully the parents of the victims into keeping their mouths shut to not disturb

00:19:46.980 the peace or be guilty of Islamophobia. 0.99

00:19:48.720 The Pakistani Muslims and the rapists, they're also a protected class. 1.00

00:19:53.380 But what this is really about is identity. 0.98

00:19:57.060 It's not a uniform standard being applied.

00:19:59.060 It's not some abstract discussion of free speech.

00:20:03.220 It's about groups of people and hierarchies and groups of people.

00:20:08.360 And it seems in the UK and Europe and in the United States that politics is becoming more

00:20:14.300 and more overtly about that.

00:20:15.980 And we prefer to live in a political order that is not about warring factions of people

00:20:22.500 that can be easily demarcated across tribal lines.

00:20:26.860 And especially people on the right would much prefer not to live in that society.

00:20:30.860 But driven largely by the left, that seems to be where we are now.

00:20:35.940 It's why it's so jarring for people when Trump says, look, I don't want the Somalis here.

00:20:39.540 They add nothing. 0.98

00:20:40.420 They're a huge burden. 0.89

00:20:42.020 They're fraudsters. 1.00

00:20:43.080 They're terrorists. 1.00

00:20:43.920 They're rapists. 1.00

00:20:44.500 And I want them out. 0.99

00:20:46.560 People are so shocked by that because he's speaking in really blunt, group, tribal kind

00:20:53.480 of terms.

00:20:54.340 Yeah, because they're acting tribally.

00:20:56.800 Yeah, it's not Trump's fault.

00:20:58.520 It's not the right's fault.

00:21:00.560 And the old tactics of the left, which is just to accuse someone of the R word of racism

00:21:08.240 and to say, okay, that'll shut you up.

00:21:10.420 That's not going to work anymore.

00:21:12.860 People have had enough of this.

00:21:14.880 They've had enough, not just of the political correctness, not just of the censorship and

00:21:18.180 the abstract.

00:21:18.980 They've had enough of having their identity groups specifically targeted by the popular

00:21:26.140 culture, by the institutions, and by the government.

00:21:29.440 They've had enough of this. 0.99

00:21:30.560 They've seen enough Pakistanis raping English girls, and they're done with it. 1.00

00:21:35.720 They don't want, they're done with the Pakistanis. 1.00

00:21:38.740 We've seen enough Somalis rip off the taxpayer and commit crimes and take over our cities and 1.00

00:21:43.520 fund terrorism. 0.97

00:21:44.300 We've had enough of that.

00:21:45.740 And now we would like them to go.

00:21:48.400 We certainly don't want to take more of them, but now we would like them to go.

00:21:52.260 And there are ways in which, you know, it's funny because the right has eschewed identity

00:21:57.160 politics for a long time.

00:21:58.580 I've always had a little bit more of a nuanced take on that because I recognize that politics

00:22:01.760 is about people living together in community, and people who live together in community

00:22:05.260 necessarily have things in common with each other.

00:22:07.400 And so that is, all politics is a kind of identity politics.

00:22:11.060 Same way that when the right was braying on about how we need to be free speech absolutists.

00:22:15.060 I said, actually, guys, actually, you're not gonna, that's a very liberal, abstract idea.

00:22:19.860 You're gonna get hoisted by that petard.

00:22:21.380 Same, there are a lot of petards on the show today.

00:22:23.580 And it's the same thing with identity politics.

00:22:26.080 All politics is a kind of identity politics.

00:22:28.640 There are ways in which it can go very, very wrong and truly just become rival bands of,

00:22:33.380 you know, savage tribes just clubbing each other over the head.

00:22:37.080 And there are ways in which we can use our reason to conduce to the common good,

00:22:41.120 to accommodate people who are different, but who nonetheless share something in common in a polity.

00:22:45.360 However, before we get to that nice kind of politics, we're gonna have to deal with the real issue.

00:22:51.380 We are in a kind of identity politics right now, like a very overt kind of identity politics that the left has brought upon us.

00:23:01.900 And we can either deal with it or we can bury our heads in the sand and lose our political power.

00:23:09.700 Okay, so speaking of identity and identity politics, a United Methodist pastor has just come out as transgender at perhaps the most ironic time of the year. 0.99

00:23:23.540 We'll get to that in one second.

00:23:24.420 First, though, I want to tell you about Helix Sleep.

00:24:56.120 Listen, some of my best friends are Methodist, okay?

00:24:59.240 So I know it's no not, but I didn't know that there were still Methodists.

00:25:03.420 Like I thought there were five Methodists left. 0.98

00:25:05.780 And, but I think there are still some.

00:25:07.320 And this is no disrespect to my Methodist friends, however many of you there are out there.

00:25:15.460 But you can listen to the pastor in his own words.

00:25:20.700 I get to announce with joy that I'm transitioning.

00:25:27.400 I'm affirming and saying to all of you that I am transgender.

00:25:32.820 And so, and so the best way to put this is that I'm not becoming a woman.

00:25:40.640 I'm giving up pretending to be a man.

00:25:42.720 What will change?

00:25:48.120 Thank God you have never chosen me as your pastor based off of my appearance.

00:25:54.800 Amen.

00:25:55.860 I was waiting for that.

00:25:56.880 My parents okay with this.

00:25:58.900 Absolutely not.

00:26:00.400 They have chosen their convictions and their beliefs over supporting their child.

00:26:06.200 The category of what they call asexual.

00:26:09.620 I've been that way since we've all been together.

00:26:13.560 Is that I am not.

00:26:17.340 I'm not living my life in such a way that I am looking for romance.

00:26:22.960 And that's okay.

00:26:25.240 We all have to live the ways that we live.

00:26:29.600 Okay, hold on.

00:26:31.200 I actually feel bad for this guy.

00:26:33.840 I feel quite bad for this guy.

00:26:35.200 You can tell he's a very troubled guy.

00:26:37.420 And he seems shaken and vulnerable.

00:26:39.620 And he's about to embark on this horrifically damaging path.

00:26:45.180 And so, you really do feel for him.

00:26:48.040 And I guess at the end there, when he says, look, we all live our own way.

00:26:52.980 You say, well, that's the Christian message.

00:26:55.880 Christ says, you know, to the woman at the well, hey, go and do whatever you want.

00:27:00.300 Christ says to the woman about to be stoned for adultery, you know, let him who is without sin cast the first stone.

00:27:05.320 And he turns to the woman.

00:27:06.020 He says, hey, go and sin if you want to.

00:27:08.120 Or whatever.

00:27:08.800 Just live however you want.

00:27:09.940 Just live.

00:27:10.440 It's cool, man.

00:27:11.040 Right?

00:27:11.220 No, I don't think so.

00:27:13.360 And then he says, you know, my parents, they've chosen their convictions, their beliefs over affirming their son's desires.

00:27:21.040 I think, isn't our Lord say if you don't hate your father and mother or in your family and like, oh, if you don't, if you don't choose me over all of these things, all of the things of this world, even those that are closest to you, you know, you're nothing.

00:27:35.440 You're nothing.

00:27:36.100 You're not really following me. 0.92

00:27:37.640 Your faith is lukewarm.

00:27:38.820 You're not, but you got to, this is an all or nothing game here.

00:27:41.880 You really have to love me, the truth, God, the God who died for you.

00:27:47.740 You have to really choose me over all things.

00:27:52.840 And it's amazing.

00:27:53.340 Now he's angry.

00:27:54.480 He says to his parents, he says, and my parents are doing that.

00:27:57.400 Isn't that so awful?

00:27:59.360 They're not just affirming my delusions.

00:28:01.300 They're preferring their belief in Christ and even natural truth.

00:28:09.760 You say, yeah, aren't they supposed to do that?

00:28:12.700 But then he says, look, I'm asexual.

00:28:16.600 So this is not about me going to date a woman or date a guy or get it's not about anything sexual because I'm asexual.

00:28:23.060 And I think that's how priests are supposed to be, kind of, you know, I'm not, I don't know.

00:28:30.080 I'm not talking about the actual category of asexuality, dubious as that is saying in my, in my view of things, call me old fashioned.

00:28:36.720 I think priests ought to be celibate.

00:28:38.320 And so when he says, look, I'm going to be celibate, I think, oh, good.

00:28:42.020 That's what priests are supposed to be.

00:28:43.340 So what is this about?

00:28:45.820 If it's not even, I don't, I don't know what this guy's private life is really like, but I'm just judging by his words.

00:28:51.400 If this really isn't about engaging in some weird sexual relationship, I guess it could still be about pornography or something.

00:28:59.220 I don't know.

00:28:59.580 I don't even want to speculate.

00:29:01.600 But if it's not about doing weird sex stuff, what is it about?

00:29:04.780 It's just that he likes the idea of having longer hair.

00:29:08.880 He likes the idea of wearing women's clothing. 0.95

00:29:12.620 He like, what is this really about?

00:29:17.500 And what's so amazing is the timing of this video going viral, this admission.

00:29:22.080 Because we're in Advent and what does Advent prepare us for as Christians?

00:29:26.620 The incarnation.

00:29:27.860 It prepares us for when God the Son becomes flesh.

00:29:34.640 When the word, when the logic of the universe, the eternal truth and logos becomes flesh and unites eternal truth to physical body and all of the particularities that go with body, notably including sex, and lives throughout history and dwells among us.

00:29:56.040 And he says, you know, what does it matter?

00:29:59.660 He kind of jokes.

00:30:00.900 He says, you know, you didn't pick me as your pastor for my appearance.

00:30:04.320 And he's conflating sex with mere appearances. 0.89

00:30:08.640 But sex is not a mere appearance.

00:30:10.360 This is a very Gnostic, very New Age idea that our bodies are just an illusion. 0.92

00:30:15.900 A very New Age idea is that everything in this world, all created things, are just kind of an illusion.

00:30:19.860 And they're bad.

00:30:20.760 This goes back to Albigensianism.

00:30:24.380 This goes back further to Manichaeism, to perhaps Marcionism.

00:30:31.520 A lot of these ancient and medieval heresies that have a hostile view to the created world.

00:30:39.760 But that's not the Christian view.

00:30:41.980 The Christian view is, no, no, no. 0.78

00:30:44.320 This world is not just an illusion.

00:30:46.120 God really makes it.

00:30:47.140 This world that we move through in time and space and history is so real that God himself enters into it in a real place, in a real time, and moves through history with a real body.

00:30:56.520 And then he dies and is bodily resurrected and eats fish on the beach with his friends.

00:31:01.020 And is assumed, or ascends bodily into heaven.

00:31:06.860 And if you're a Catholic or Eastern Orthodox or certain varieties of Protestantism, you believe that our Lord's Mother, the Mother of God, is assumed bodily.

00:31:17.060 Bodily into heaven.

00:31:19.320 Bodily.

00:31:19.660 Bodily.

00:31:20.100 The body matters.

00:31:22.420 That is, if you had to list 10 big takeaways from the Christian religion, and the most important takeaway from the Christian religion in Advent, you would say, the body, it matters.

00:31:36.480 It's real.

00:31:38.020 It tells you something true about who you are.

00:31:40.460 And your identity cannot be disconnected from your physical body.

00:31:45.160 And he comes to all the opposite conclusions.

00:31:47.120 So, it's a pity.

00:31:48.500 Pity for him.

00:31:49.160 I hope he sees this segment.

00:31:52.220 I hope he, it's pity for the Methodist ecclesial communities and pity for his parents, who I'm sure are suffering through it.

00:31:58.340 But it's amazing.

00:31:59.700 It's amazing the perfect wrongness of this, especially at this moment in Advent.

00:32:05.300 Speaking of signs of the times, oh, the big political news.

00:32:07.720 There was this major election in Nashville last night, the Tennessee special election for Tennessee District 7.

00:32:13.160 This was Mark Green's old district, Republican, who is, he's out of Congress now.

00:32:19.280 So, you had Matt Van Epps versus Afton Bain.

00:32:25.060 Matt Van Epps, you know, Army veteran, looks like G.I.

00:32:29.220 Joe, just all around clean cut, good looking guy, you know, no scandals, good candidate.

00:32:33.820 And Afton Bain, a complete Looney Tune maniac who ran on a platform of hating Nashville and hating the people in Nashville and being radical.

00:32:44.840 And she, when there was the horrific shooting, the transgender shooter attacking Christian kids, her reaction was to worry about the backlash against the trans community. 0.90

00:32:56.800 Here she is.

00:32:59.260 So, for those of you who don't know, my partner has a trans son.

00:33:02.740 And the month of April and the final week of March was incredibly upsetting for us.

00:33:12.460 In the wake of the Covenant shooting and the disclosure that the Covenant shooter was trans, I was pulled into a chat with other trans organizers and activists across the state that were fearful of their lives.

00:33:23.600 We identified threats from white-green groups that they would show up at these Trans Day of Visibility events and threatening our trans kids. 0.81

00:33:33.040 And so, I had a snapped moment where I decided we need more people talking about the protections for trans kids in our trans communities at the legislature every day.

00:33:42.520 Listen up, I can't even listen to it anymore.

00:33:44.160 I can't even listen to it anymore. 1.00

00:33:45.100 So, she says, yeah, this lunatic psycho killer tranny came in and slaughtered cute little Christian children in school. 1.00

00:33:52.420 And my first thought was, we need to protect trannies. 1.00

00:33:56.140 Obviously, that's my first thought.

00:33:58.260 And we need laws about this.

00:34:00.140 Who got you at?

00:34:01.440 The Christians. 0.69

00:34:02.600 Forget about it. 1.00

00:34:03.140 I hate Christianity. 1.00

00:34:04.100 Forget about Christians. 1.00

00:34:05.200 No, no, no. 1.00

00:34:05.480 We got to protect the psycho trans transgenders. 1.00

00:34:08.960 And this, I don't know, is that even in the top three gaffes of this woman? 0.99

00:34:13.160 So, she was a horrifically bad candidate. 1.00

00:34:14.700 She loses.

00:34:15.620 Good news.

00:34:16.540 She loses.

00:34:17.000 Matt Van Epps wins.

00:34:17.960 She loses.

00:34:18.460 I think the final tally was 54 to 49.

00:34:24.000 Or sorry, 54 to 45.

00:34:26.940 So, it was a nine-point race.

00:34:29.420 Now, this district was previously a 21-point race.

00:34:34.200 Mark Green, the Republican, previously, just last year, won that district by 21 points.

00:34:39.020 The cycle before was 21 points.

00:34:40.580 Before that, it was a slightly differently drawn district.

00:34:44.000 It was actually a 30-point district.

00:34:45.660 Should be a 20-point district.

00:34:46.880 Now, it's a nine-point district.

00:34:49.640 Look, it's good news.

00:34:50.700 All that matters is winning or losing.

00:34:52.740 A big relief for Mike Johnson, the Republicans.

00:34:54.720 Big relief for Trump.

00:34:56.300 To quote cocaine Mitch McConnell, the winners make law and losers go home.

00:35:01.200 However, you look ahead at the midterms now. 0.85

00:35:04.920 What happens when you don't have a cartoonishly villainous, terrible Democrat candidate?

00:35:09.760 Every Democrat believes what she says. 0.98

00:35:13.020 Every Democrat believes in attacking law enforcement and promoting the weird sex stuff to kids.

00:35:19.400 And they all kind of hate their countrymen.

00:35:21.880 It's true.

00:35:22.960 Like, we see the numbers.

00:35:25.520 We see the rallies.

00:35:26.660 We sometimes hear their speeches.

00:35:28.380 We see the surveys.

00:35:29.520 So, they feel that way.

00:35:30.700 She was just so overt about it. 0.90

00:35:33.180 And Matt Van Epps was a good candidate.

00:35:34.440 You know, no scandals, good, G.I. Joe, clean cut.

00:35:37.440 What happens in the midterms when the Democrat's a little better than Allison Bain and the Republicans a little worse than Matt Van Epps and the district isn't a 21-point buffer for Republicans?

00:35:48.500 We're probably going to need that 12-point window that we lost, that 12-point buffer that we lost on this race.

00:35:56.520 Look, it's a win.

00:35:57.540 Let's be excited about the win.

00:35:59.100 That's wonderful.

00:36:00.020 If I were Republicans right now looking at the midterms, one, I think you can expect more retirements from the Republicans in the House, which is going to make the GOP's job even harder.

00:36:08.120 But two, I think they need to start fundraising and knocking on doors now.

00:36:13.580 I mean, this is the wake-up call.

00:36:15.640 It could have been disastrous, and it wasn't.

00:36:17.640 We averted disaster, but the warning signs are there.

00:36:21.480 You know, hey, ships, watch out.

00:36:22.740 There are rocky waters ahead.

00:36:24.880 We are headed, not full steam, but we're headed pretty quickly for an electoral blowout in the midterms if we don't start getting serious.

00:36:35.180 Okay.

00:36:35.620 Now, speaking of alliances and politics, got to get that dagger out of my heart.

00:36:41.920 Sabrina Carpenter disavowing the White House and President Trump.

00:38:28.040 So the White House posts a video, a great video, of ICE deporting all these illegal criminals.

00:38:35.860 And the music that they used is Sabrina Carpenter's song.

00:38:39.180 Have you ever tried this one?

00:38:47.740 Have you ever tried this one?

00:38:49.200 Have you ever tried this one?

00:38:50.940 I know you want my touch for love.

00:38:56.000 Great.

00:38:56.820 Great bit.

00:38:57.520 Great stuff from the White House New Media Team.

00:38:59.520 And then Sabrina Carpenter responds. 0.96

00:39:03.580 This video is evil and disgusting.

00:39:05.740 Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda. 0.84

00:39:11.100 So now, now some people are looking at your boy, at your creamy sweater-having boy right

00:39:18.840 now because I'm pro-Sabrina.

00:39:21.900 I like Sabrina's music.

00:39:23.540 I think she's a very interesting pop artist.

00:39:25.880 And I see some kind of subversive, conservative messaging in her songs.

00:39:31.340 I say, Mike, were you wrong?

00:39:32.600 No, I'm not wrong.

00:39:34.140 I'm not wrong about Sabrina.

00:39:36.880 I think there's a couple things going on here.

00:39:39.820 First of all, it has never been my claim that Sabrina Carpenter is like a registered Republican

00:39:44.520 who voted for Trump.

00:39:45.280 That is not my claim.

00:39:46.060 I'm just pointing out that she's artistically interesting. 0.90

00:39:48.800 And related to that, her songs do have subtle conservative messaging, like that women can 1.00

00:39:54.680 be kind of crazy. 0.95

00:39:55.740 There's all this retro message.

00:39:56.900 She's had a lot of retro imagery, 70s and 80s kind of imagery, funky, older musical stylings

00:40:03.760 and melodies.

00:40:04.820 And there's a kind of nostalgia for her.

00:40:06.980 Even her album cover where she's getting dragged around by a tie or a belt or something by a man,

00:40:12.420 there's a kind of a, I don't know, a very playful and subversive subservience in that.

00:40:18.840 She ain't a feminist. 1.00

00:40:19.880 Let's put it that way.

00:40:21.040 Or if she is, there's a great deal of irony to it.

00:40:24.660 And she comes out and she says, don't use my music.

00:40:27.820 I hate this.

00:40:28.340 A couple things are going on.

00:40:29.180 One, I think she's nervous.

00:40:31.100 I think she's nervous that some conservatives are noticing or noticing.

00:40:35.640 Okay.

00:40:35.980 Like she played a song at, I don't know, some award show or something.

00:40:39.240 And it had all this like pro trans stuff there.

00:40:42.560 But you can't help but notice a lot of her music involves the implication that she's kind 0.94

00:40:47.960 of crazy. 0.98

00:40:48.540 She's kind of a mess. 1.00

00:40:49.500 She makes bad decisions.

00:40:50.620 She, so within the Sabrina character is this.

00:40:55.400 It's not like I expect Sabrina Carpenter to be some like based right wing philosopher 1.00

00:40:59.800 king or anything within the character is she's this messy girl who makes bad decisions, who 0.98

00:41:04.700 might say one thing, but then behave in another way, act like a feminist, but then undermine 1.00

00:41:08.920 feminism, you know, promote transgenderism. 1.00

00:41:11.180 But the transgenderism is actually kind of a horror show as in that music video that had 1.00

00:41:15.640 weird gender bending. 1.00

00:41:16.840 So I remain, I say, yes, this is how Sabrina Carpenter was always going to respond to this.

00:41:24.400 The White House was absolutely right to use her music.

00:41:26.760 They responded with one of these typical, you know, like they did puns about her songs.

00:41:30.860 Well, listen here, Sabrina, you better.

00:41:34.420 And then, you know, they like quote her songs in, in ways, but they double down as they should

00:41:38.240 double down.

00:41:39.400 You know, the, I don't even know the names of her songs, but the only thing that's evil 0.97

00:41:43.860 and disgusting is illegal aliens pouring into the country. 0.74

00:41:46.680 So it was fine. 0.84

00:41:47.180 They, they didn't, no apologies whatsoever.

00:41:48.860 They should leave the video up.

00:41:49.760 It was great.

00:41:51.480 I think she's, I think she's nervous.

00:41:52.880 People are noticing.

00:41:53.520 I still, I still maintain her music, whether, whether she knows it or not, her music has

00:42:01.140 a subversive conservative element to it.

00:42:03.360 And furthermore, even if she's really earnest and she's so upset about the Trump administration,

00:42:07.620 don't forget there is a difference between the artist and the critic and artists usually,

00:42:12.040 maybe usually a lot of the time, at least don't even know what they're doing.

00:42:16.280 The artist just puts stuff out there.

00:42:18.620 You see this, especially with actors who stereotypically are not that intelligent and they go, they put

00:42:23.380 a performance out there.

00:42:24.080 They don't know what they're doing and it's up to the critic to interpret what the actor

00:42:28.800 is doing.

00:42:29.960 The critic is more conscious of what the artist is doing than the artist is.

00:42:34.800 It's with poets.

00:42:36.080 Poets are creating images for you.

00:42:37.580 They're creating central experiences for you.

00:42:40.100 It's for the critic to write the 5,000 word essay about it.

00:42:43.620 All right, enough about Sabrina Carpenter.

00:42:45.200 I'm salty.

00:42:46.600 I'm salty about it, but I'm not giving up on you, Sabrina.

00:42:49.380 I'm not giving up.

00:42:50.460 And the White House should not give up and they should not take that video down.

00:42:55.200 Speaking of immigration policy, the New Yorker.

00:43:00.300 The New Yorker.

00:43:01.340 Whenever you see these stories about ICE, the deportations, videos.

00:43:08.280 Look, a lot of these videos of ICE arresting people, a lot of them are AI generated.

00:43:12.240 So, some of the ones, you know, if it's like Abuela, just at home knitting, darning some

00:43:16.960 socks and then ICE comes in and blows her head off. 1.00

00:43:19.340 Those are often AI generated videos.

00:43:22.020 But there are a lot of deportations going on.

00:43:24.220 And they're always presented as, you know, the evil oppressors, ICE, these jackbooted 0.97

00:43:29.340 thugs coming in and taking the poor innocent doe, illegal aliens who are all, they're all 1.00

00:43:34.640 grandmother Abuelas who have been here for 72 years.

00:43:37.660 And they were brought here at the age of two and, you know, they're all dreamers.

00:43:42.360 And so, here's the headline from the New Yorker.

00:43:46.480 Disappeared to a foreign prison.

00:43:49.060 The Trump administration is deporting people to countries they have no ties to, where many

00:43:53.300 are being detained indefinitely or forcibly returned to the places they fled.

00:43:57.880 Notice how they set it up.

00:43:59.340 They go, the bad thing here is that these illegal aliens are being returned to countries that 0.99

00:44:04.960 they've never even been to.

00:44:06.640 And the other bad thing is they're being returned to countries that they have been to.

00:44:11.960 So, anyway, is it that, no, okay, then the bad thing, according to the New Yorker, is

00:44:16.100 that Trump is deporting any illegal aliens at all.

00:44:19.980 But just a quick little, quick little rundown on one story in particular.

00:44:23.760 Orville Ettoria, I'm quoting directly.

00:44:26.940 Orville Ettoria, a Jamaican national who'd lived in New York for nearly 50 years, was

00:44:30.860 shackled and put on an ice flight to Eswatini.

00:44:35.040 And here's what Orville said.

00:44:37.920 It helped, yeah, man, it helped me imagine how the slaves might have felt, man, going to

00:44:43.520 another island in shackles and chains, man.

00:44:47.720 That was his reaction to the New Yorker.

00:44:49.600 Ice deport, how do you get the interview with the New Yorker? 0.98

00:44:51.360 I don't know.

00:44:51.960 It made me feel how the slaves felt, man.

00:44:54.780 Now, of course, the slaves were brought to this country against their will.

00:44:59.260 And in this case, these guys, these guys came to the country against our will. 0.70

00:45:04.680 And we're telling them they have to leave because they have no right to be here.

00:45:07.800 This is how the slaves felt, man, deported to another country, man.

00:45:12.860 The community note, however, clarifies some facts.

00:45:16.460 Orville Ettoria has multiple serious felonies, including armed robbery and murder.

00:45:23.820 He held a U.S. lawful permanent resident status, which can, can be, and was revoked following his criminal convictions.

00:45:31.200 So, you see, the headline here is disappeared to a foreign prison.

00:45:39.620 The word that's missing is murderers.

00:45:42.820 Murderers are just, illegal alien, foreign national murderers are being sent to foreign prisons. 0.99

00:45:50.480 Which would seem to make sense.

00:45:51.880 This is how it all goes.

00:45:57.520 This is how it all goes.

00:45:58.600 And it's, it gets back to something we were talking about earlier, which is the identity groups.

00:46:01.960 It's, it's about the identity group.

00:46:03.260 It's not about the murder.

00:46:04.460 It's not about the rape.

00:46:06.180 It's not, it's not about law enforcement.

00:46:09.380 When the Biden administration was sending jackbooted thugs into spy on Catholic churches and to arrest grannies for praying at abortion clinics, I don't remember the libs objecting to that. 0.96

00:46:18.480 I don't, I don't remember the libs objecting to the use of force when it was Barack Obama droning people left and right.

00:46:25.000 I don't know.

00:46:25.960 It's not, it's not about these ideas, these principles, the use of force, the free speech, the this, the that, the other thing.

00:46:35.740 It's about the identity groups.

00:46:39.900 For the, for the left now, these illegal aliens are the good guys. 0.99

00:46:45.500 Anything they do is good or at least justifiable, including murder and rape. 0.98

00:46:50.900 It's, hey, it's just their culture.

00:46:53.100 If a, if a white man looks at a woman the wrong way in 2017, that, that man's life will be ruined because of me too.

00:47:05.900 And time's up and, you know, sexual harassment and what are that, that guy has to go to prison for life. 0.96

00:47:13.100 But if a Somali migrant rapes multiple people, it's just their culture or they have to get, it's, that's all it is. 0.99

00:47:20.660 It's just about getting passes.

00:47:21.860 And so if you're the Trump administration right now, what you have to recognize is we have an opportunity.

00:47:28.040 And I think they do, I think they recognize this, we have an opportunity to do something right now.

00:47:33.960 We, hey, we got the power.

00:47:35.220 The winners make policy, the losers go home.

00:47:36.900 Hey, we won that special election last night.

00:47:38.860 We didn't win it by a lot, but we won it.

00:47:41.220 And we have to really wield that power. 0.86

00:47:44.160 We have to really get rid of these people, the, the foreign criminals that are in the country. 1.00

00:47:49.180 We need to get rid of them. 0.71

00:47:50.720 We need to, because if we don't get them out of the country, if we don't send the murderers to Eswatini, then the minute the Democrats come back into power, they're going to give all of them amnesty. 0.96

00:48:01.940 And then they're going to come back for revenge.

00:48:04.560 And the actions of the Trump administration are entirely justified, not merely by factional warring tribal politics, but by ordinances of reason and by considerations for the common good.

00:48:14.180 However, what's going to happen if we don't actually make good on our promises and the things that people elected President Trump to do is those groups, the murderers, the illegals, the drug traffickers, the terrorists, are going to be given a lot more political power when the Democrats inevitably come back in.

00:48:34.500 And they are going to wield it against us in very unjust ways.

00:48:38.540 The stakes are high.

00:48:39.740 This is not, this is not the kind of politics of 10 or 20 or 30 years ago.

00:48:45.760 This is, it's not even a newer kind of, it's a much older kind of politics.

00:48:49.280 And we got to get a little, we got to get a little old, we got to get a little medieval.

00:48:52.960 It's time to get a little medieval.

00:48:54.200 Okay.
