The Michael Knowles Show - Ep. 249 - Jim Acosta’s Best Day Ever

00:00:00.500 Bloviating hairdo Jim Acosta has been banned from the White House, at least temporarily,

00:00:05.360 after refusing to shut up and playing keep-away with a female White House intern.

00:00:09.880 Then, Democrats advocate for segregated campuses, but nothing new there,

00:00:14.020 and leftist thugs try to kick in Tucker Carlson's door in the middle of the night.

00:00:18.960 An awful shooting occurs in California, but the political activists are already out in force.

00:00:23.500 Finally, the mailbag. I'm Michael Knowles, and this is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:00:30.000 The star of CNN, Jim Acosta, has had his White House press badge revoked.

00:00:40.120 For reaction now, we turn to Jim Acosta.

00:00:42.600 Jim, what can you tell us about having the press pass revoked?

00:00:46.360 I'm Ron Burgundy.

00:00:48.780 Really strong, really interesting. We'll have to get to more of that in just one second.

00:00:52.760 But first, let's make a little money with ExpressVPN.

00:00:56.320 With all of the recent news about online security breaches,

00:01:00.000 it's hard not to worry about where your data goes when you make an online purchase,

00:01:04.540 or even if you just access your email.

00:01:06.600 That could put your private information at risk.

00:01:09.620 You are being tracked online by social media sites,

00:01:12.700 marketing companies, and your mobile or internet provider.

00:01:15.480 That's why I decided to take back my privacy using ExpressVPN.

00:01:19.020 You would be crazy not to use a VPN right now.

00:01:21.400 Everybody is stealing your data.

00:01:23.340 Foreign governments, corporations.

00:01:24.900 Any time you are on the internet, your data is at risk.

00:01:28.820 It's insane not to.

00:01:30.280 ExpressVPN secures and anonymizes your internet browsing

00:01:32.940 by encrypting your data and hiding your public IP address.

00:01:36.020 Protect yourself with ExpressVPN.

00:01:37.360 It costs less than $7 a month.

00:01:39.280 $7 a month.

00:01:40.600 That is like a medium-priced latte.

00:01:43.500 Do not...

00:01:44.760 Just think about what you've got on the internet.

00:01:46.740 Just think about what you're looking at,

00:01:48.200 what you've got in your email,

00:01:49.740 what the financial information...

00:01:51.240 Protect it for less than $7 a month.

00:02:09.880 This was Jim Acosta's favorite day.

00:02:11.900 It was his favorite day probably of his entire life.

00:02:15.200 He gave us a little bit of reaction.

00:02:17.180 He explained even more what happened

00:02:19.180 after the scuffle with a White House intern

00:02:21.900 and nagging the president with a bunch of questions.

00:02:24.720 He gets his pass revoked.

00:02:25.760 Here's what he says to Anderson Cooper.

00:02:27.580 Yeah, I went back to the White House

00:02:29.240 actually to do a live shot for your program

00:02:31.180 just before eight o'clock.

00:02:33.000 And when I arrived at the gate,

00:02:34.400 the Secret Service came out and informed me

00:02:36.400 that my press credentials were being,

00:02:39.280 I guess, revoked temporarily, suspended.

00:02:42.240 And the Secret Service officer came over to me

00:02:44.940 and asked me to hand over my credential.

00:02:47.280 And I did.

00:02:48.520 And I told him, I said, listen,

00:02:49.500 I know you're a professional.

00:02:50.560 You're just doing your job.

00:02:52.240 And thanks for your service.

00:02:53.740 And handed him a credential I've had for five years.

00:02:56.960 I want to read a reaction from a few of your colleagues

00:02:59.680 covering the White House.

00:03:01.080 Jeff Mason from Reuters just tweeted,

00:03:03.140 I was seated next to Acosta at today's press conference

00:03:05.740 and did not witness him placing his hands,

00:03:08.300 as in quotes, on the young intern,

00:03:10.240 as the White House alleges,

00:03:11.260 he held onto the microphone as she reached for him. 0.95

00:03:14.240 So that's what they're saying.

00:03:15.060 And that's what this is all about,

00:03:16.840 that allegedly Jim Acosta pushed this girl,

00:03:20.680 this White House intern who was trying to take the mic away. 0.93

00:03:22.820 Just pause and take a moment

00:03:24.280 and realize how much Jim Acosta loves this.

00:03:27.260 This is what his entire career of being a journalist

00:03:30.040 has built toward,

00:03:31.040 is going on CNN saying,

00:03:33.180 I'm here, they took away my White House press badge,

00:03:37.540 me, little old me, I me my,

00:03:39.320 all through the night, I me my, I me my, I me my.

00:03:41.480 He is loving every second of this.

00:03:44.420 It's all about Jim being in the spotlight.

00:03:47.040 And this is the story.

00:03:48.620 This is actually why it's right for the White House

00:03:51.060 to revoke his press credential.

00:03:52.780 It's not because he played keep away with this reporter.

00:03:56.660 Some people right now are trying to say

00:03:57.940 that he physically assaulted this reporter.

00:04:00.160 He didn't.

00:04:01.180 He did get physical though.

00:04:02.660 He didn't go, he didn't beat her.

00:04:04.300 She's not gonna have a bruise.

00:04:05.760 But he, you know, he didn't,

00:04:07.700 he did get physical in the moment.

00:04:09.900 What he really did is play keep away with the reporter.

00:04:12.980 And that, this is the big problem,

00:04:14.920 is that Jim Acosta was there.

00:04:17.300 He asked all of these questions.

00:04:18.960 Trump answered the questions.

00:04:20.380 He kept asking more.

00:04:21.320 He kept making more accusations.

00:04:22.800 And he wouldn't give up the microphone.

00:04:24.380 Think about all these reporters in the room

00:04:25.880 who could have asked questions

00:04:27.060 if Jim Acosta had not been stealing

00:04:30.100 the spotlight for himself.

00:04:31.220 And then it's all designed to create this polarity

00:04:34.780 between Jim Acosta and the White House.

00:04:36.880 And then it's all about Jim Acosta.

00:04:38.260 One of the things they tell you

00:04:40.000 when you're trying to be a real journalist

00:04:41.880 is not to make yourself the story.

00:04:44.720 You, the reporter, are not supposed to be the story.

00:04:48.220 The story is the story and you're covering it.

00:04:50.460 And Jim Acosta doesn't do that.

00:04:52.020 Jim Acosta takes every single chance he possibly can

00:04:55.580 to make himself the story.

00:04:57.980 That's why his press prudential should be taken away.

00:05:00.040 Because nobody benefits from this.

00:05:02.000 Nobody benefits from Jim Acosta going out

00:05:03.940 and making a star of himself.

00:05:05.500 Well, that's what we should be covering the president.

00:05:07.620 We should be covering the White House,

00:05:08.740 not covering a bloviating hairdo.

00:05:11.520 So the question is, did he put his hands on the woman?

00:05:14.740 Did he actually assault her?

00:05:16.640 You can take a look at the clip right now

00:05:18.040 and judge for yourself.

00:05:19.620 That's enough.

00:05:20.000 Mr. President, I was going to ask one of the other folks.

00:05:22.220 That's enough.

00:05:23.040 Pardon me, ma'am.

00:05:24.060 Excuse me.

00:05:24.820 That's enough.

00:05:26.040 Pardon me, ma'am.

00:05:26.820 Pardon me.

00:05:27.180 He keeps the microphone away.

00:05:28.280 So if you couldn't see that, it's a quick exchange.

00:05:30.700 We've slowed it down in super duper slow motion.

00:05:33.700 If you can tolerate Jim Acosta's slow motion voice,

00:05:36.600 take a closer look.

00:05:38.240 That's enough.

00:05:38.720 Mr. President, I was going to ask one of the other folks.

00:05:42.240 That's enough.

00:05:43.500 Pardon me, ma'am.

00:05:45.060 Mr. President, that's enough.

00:05:47.200 Mr. President.

00:05:47.880 Pardon me, ma'am.

00:05:49.260 My beautiful hairdo is about to fall out of shape, ma'am.

00:05:53.380 No, I need more gel in the mousse in the...

00:05:56.240 So that's what's happening for those of you who are listening to it.

00:06:00.060 And what happens is he is holding the microphone.

00:06:03.040 He has gone on now for several minutes,

00:06:05.880 monopolizing the time in this room.

00:06:08.100 And so Trump says, that's enough.

00:06:10.160 Okay, I've answered several of your questions.

00:06:12.160 We're not going to get in a tit for tat here.

00:06:14.320 And so the White House intern, this lovely young woman,

00:06:17.600 comes up to take the microphone and he pulls the microphone away.

00:06:21.280 And as he pulls it away, his other hand is there

00:06:24.400 and pushes down on her arm that's going to reach for the microphone. 0.99

00:06:28.640 So the left is saying, well, she went for him physically.

00:06:32.320 And then the right is saying, he hit a woman.

00:06:35.500 He pushed or shoved a woman. 0.99

00:06:36.700 He assaulted a woman.

00:06:38.540 That's not the issue.

00:06:40.020 That isn't the issue.

00:06:40.980 She was perfectly within her rights to take the microphone away

00:06:43.420 from this bloviator.

00:06:44.560 And he, just reacting like the bloviating star seeker that he is,

00:06:50.020 pulls the microphone away to try to keep it.

00:06:52.140 And as he's doing that, he pushes her arm.

00:06:55.340 That's the problem.

00:06:56.140 He's not behaving like a gentleman.

00:06:57.700 He's not behaving with any dignity befitting his occupation. 0.94

00:07:01.240 The whole argument for CNN right now is that Donald Trump is this lout, 0.98

00:07:05.660 this boar, this Bulgarian, but CNN, they're the serious people. 0.98

00:07:09.980 They're going to restore dignity to the country.

00:07:12.000 They're going to, and then this is dignity.

00:07:13.640 This is what happens is you play keep away with this young White House intern 0.51

00:07:16.760 after monopolizing the White House press corps' time,

00:07:20.120 after monopolizing the president's time,

00:07:21.980 and preventing other reporters from asking questions.

00:07:24.260 Are you kidding me?

00:07:25.060 That's why his press badge should be taken away.

00:07:27.840 It should be taken away because he's getting exactly what he wants right now.

00:07:31.820 And what he wants is not to cover the White House.

00:07:35.400 It's not to cover the president.

00:07:36.980 It's not to cover national policy.

00:07:38.820 It's to make himself famous and go on air with Anderson Cooper

00:07:43.540 and pretend to be a super serious person.

00:07:45.940 I'm speaking, I'm actually sort of defending Jim Acosta here

00:07:48.640 in that I don't think he's a woman beater, assailant or something like that. 0.93

00:07:52.820 I think that he is a narcissist.

00:07:56.180 And I have a little bit of insight into this

00:07:58.080 because I knew Jim Acosta before Jim Acosta was Jim Acosta.

00:08:02.860 Actually, when I was up in college,

00:08:05.020 I was working on a campaign to try to get Mitch Daniels to run for president,

00:08:08.780 the Indiana governor.

00:08:09.860 And the campaign got big enough that CNN sent their young reporter,

00:08:14.980 Jim Acosta, up to cover us.

00:08:16.800 Here is a younger Jim Acosta and a younger me.

00:08:19.620 It might be a stretch to call him the big man on campus,

00:08:24.380 but Indiana governor Mitch Daniels is getting some presidential buzz

00:08:29.460 at colleges across the country,

00:08:31.360 thanks to Yale University students Max Eden and Michael Knowles.

00:08:35.560 So the thing goes on, and I spent an afternoon with Jim Acosta,

00:08:40.600 and I left that thinking because we were told,

00:08:44.820 watch out, you're doing a right-wing campaign,

00:08:46.960 and CNN's coming up, they're going to cover you poorly.

00:08:48.800 And so I assumed they were going to be really critical of the campaign

00:08:52.620 and really left-wing.

00:08:53.800 It wasn't that.

00:08:54.700 I don't think Jim Acosta is really left-wing at all.

00:08:57.620 I don't think he's left-wing.

00:08:58.700 I don't think he's right-wing.

00:08:59.700 I think he's just all about Jim Acosta.

00:09:03.120 And so the reaction to this,

00:09:04.400 everyone's focusing on the disrespect that he showed to the woman.

00:09:08.060 Think about the disrespect to his colleagues,

00:09:11.040 to the president of the United States, to the White House.

00:09:13.700 That's really the disrespect here.

00:09:15.420 This is not how gentlemen behave.

00:09:16.640 This is not how journalists are supposed to behave.

00:09:19.400 And if they want to pretend in the mainstream media

00:09:24.280 that they are restoring the dignity of that office,

00:09:28.040 even if President Trump is allegedly degrading the dignity,

00:09:31.520 then they've got to put up or shut up,

00:09:33.120 and they shouldn't have showboaters out there.

00:09:34.840 So it's very fun.

00:09:35.620 And by the way, I mentioned this on the show the other day,

00:09:37.980 that Trump gives everybody everything that they want.

00:09:40.340 The high civic engagement, high voter turnout,

00:09:42.500 unifies the Dems, unifies the Republicans,

00:09:45.180 protects American labor and industries,

00:09:47.200 also gets foreign adversaries to lower their trade barriers

00:09:51.820 and lower their tariffs.

00:09:52.780 Everybody gets what they want.

00:09:53.780 Jim Acosta gets what he wants to.

00:09:55.260 He gets to look super serious and become the story again.

00:09:58.140 But how much longer are we going to tolerate this guy becoming the story?

00:10:01.420 Speaking of actual threats to journalists,

00:10:04.280 not fake threats like a 90-pound White House female intern 0.63

00:10:08.360 and the president making fun of Jim Acosta,

00:10:11.380 Tucker Carlson has been attacked at his home.

00:10:14.640 Tucker Carlson, fortunately he wasn't home at the time,

00:10:17.620 but there was a major left-wing attack,

00:10:20.600 and it tells you everything you need to know about them

00:10:22.740 by what they were chanting,

00:10:24.340 how his wife had to hide in fear in the pantry

00:10:27.160 as they tried to bust in.

00:10:28.480 Before that, speaking of entering people's boudoirs,

00:10:31.720 let's talk about Purple Mattress. 0.97

00:10:33.260 I love Purple Mattress.

00:10:34.980 You know that I proselytize Purple Mattress.

00:10:37.460 If you're struggling to get a good night's sleep,

00:10:38.760 you've got to try it.

00:10:39.660 I naturally have back pain.

00:10:41.260 It runs in the family.

00:10:42.800 I've tried a lot of different mattresses.

00:10:44.440 Purple is completely unlike any other mattress.

00:10:46.680 It's not like an innerspring.

00:10:48.160 It's not like the memory foam.

00:10:50.180 It's this new technology.

00:10:51.940 It's unbelievable.

00:10:53.020 It was developed by an actual rocket scientist.

00:10:55.660 It's very unique because it's both,

00:10:57.980 it's a totally unique mattress

00:10:59.260 in that it's both firm and soft at the same time.

00:11:01.860 It keeps everything supported,

00:11:03.420 but I know that sounds crazy that it's both firm and soft.

00:11:06.640 It is.

00:11:07.120 Somehow it really is.

00:11:08.380 It sleeps very cool.

00:11:09.700 It feels zero gravity.

00:11:11.260 This morning I woke up early to go do a news hit

00:11:15.060 at three in the morning or something.

00:11:16.760 By the time I came back,

00:11:18.060 I kid you not the first thing I said

00:11:19.660 to sweet little Elise as I got back in bed,

00:11:21.760 I'm dead bone tired.

00:11:22.780 I said, ah, I love our purple mattress.

00:11:25.300 I love it so much.

00:11:26.220 It lulled me right back to sleep.

00:11:27.520 100 night risk-free trial.

00:11:28.580 If you're not fully satisfied,

00:11:29.780 you can return it for a full refund

00:11:30.940 backed by 10-year warranty.

00:11:32.320 Free shipping and returns.

00:11:33.780 Here's how you get a free purple pillow

00:11:36.060 with the purchase of a mattress.

00:11:37.280 These things are expensive,

00:11:38.200 so the purple pillows,

00:11:39.580 and you can get one for free

00:11:40.560 with the purchase of a mattress.

00:11:44.460 Text COVFE, C-O-V-F-E-F-E,

00:11:46.600 to 474747.

00:11:48.040 Only way to get the free pillow.

00:11:49.180 Text COVFE, C-O-V-F-E-F-E,

00:11:51.320 to 474747.

00:11:52.380 C-O-V-F-E-F-E, 1.00

00:11:54.160 to 474747,

00:11:55.620 and get a free, super cool, sweet pillow.

00:11:59.400 Love purple.

00:12:00.800 So while Tucker Carlson's family

00:12:02.740 was trying to rest at night

00:12:04.920 in their home,

00:12:06.200 hopefully on their purple mattress,

00:12:08.140 this screeching mob

00:12:09.860 of Antifa left-wingers

00:12:11.820 attacked his house.

00:12:14.360 Let me be clear.

00:12:15.380 I'm not saying that they

00:12:17.140 went into his neighborhood

00:12:18.720 or they chased him out of a restaurant.

00:12:20.560 They went to his house.

00:12:21.460 They cracked his front door

00:12:22.900 because they tried to bust in. 1.00

00:12:24.620 These sick thugs 1.00

00:12:25.460 tried to bust into his house. 0.99

00:12:27.220 Tucker wasn't even home at the time.

00:12:28.780 His wife was home

00:12:29.820 making dinner

00:12:30.680 and she heard that

00:12:31.700 and she assumed

00:12:32.140 it was a home invasion.

00:12:33.280 So she had to lock herself

00:12:34.460 in her pantry

00:12:35.080 in fear for her life.

00:12:36.580 Text Tucker,

00:12:37.160 call 911 0.72

00:12:37.760 because these sick 1.00

00:12:38.980 left-wing thugs 1.00

00:12:39.800 were trying to bust in. 0.59

00:12:41.360 And here's some video

00:12:41.980 of them.

00:12:43.080 Mailbox.

00:12:45.080 We know where you sleep at night.

00:12:47.880 We know where you sleep at night.

00:12:52.360 We know where you sleep at night. 1.00

00:12:52.640 What a bunch of pathetic, 1.00

00:12:58.080 little, sad, womanish, 1.00

00:13:01.360 not womanly, womanish, 1.00

00:13:03.460 unmanly, hysterical children thugs. 1.00

00:13:07.160 How pathetic. 1.00

00:13:07.780 I wonder what sort of relationship 1.00

00:13:09.360 these little man-children

00:13:11.000 have with their fathers.

00:13:12.240 Probably not great,

00:13:13.220 I would guess.

00:13:13.980 I think all of these Antifa,

00:13:15.580 all of the screeching

00:13:16.380 left-wingers in the street,

00:13:17.760 whatever they're chanting,

00:13:18.920 I think the subtext is, 0.97

00:13:20.320 F you, dad. 0.97

00:13:21.860 F you, dad. 0.90

00:13:22.880 I'm not.

00:13:23.420 You can't make me.

00:13:24.520 No.

00:13:25.540 That's what I think

00:13:26.280 the subtext is.

00:13:27.020 I think these are

00:13:27.500 psychologically very damaged people 0.61

00:13:29.920 who have glommed on

00:13:31.180 to a sick, 0.96

00:13:32.220 perverse, 0.92

00:13:32.880 political ideology

00:13:33.960 to fill the gaping,

00:13:35.500 mawing hole

00:13:36.040 in their hearts

00:13:36.700 because of the sick shame

00:13:38.520 that they feel

00:13:39.260 when they gaze at themselves

00:13:40.760 in the mirror.

00:13:41.620 The shame that their parents

00:13:42.880 must feel

00:13:43.380 to have raised

00:13:44.260 such horrible failures

00:13:46.000 of children like these.

00:13:47.680 What shame,

00:13:48.220 what shame 0.56

00:13:48.700 they've brought

00:13:49.440 on their families

00:13:50.260 with whom I suspect

00:13:51.460 they don't have

00:13:52.220 a very good relationship anyway.

00:13:53.880 Awful, awful stuff.

00:13:55.860 I bring this up

00:13:56.800 for a couple of reasons.

00:13:58.080 One,

00:13:58.540 because of what

00:13:59.440 they're chanting.

00:14:00.640 We know that the left

00:14:01.740 has been encouraging

00:14:02.540 violent attacks

00:14:03.980 on prominent right-wingers.

00:14:05.660 We know that.

00:14:06.520 That's been happening

00:14:07.060 for a long time.

00:14:08.400 But what they're chanting,

00:14:10.020 they're saying,

00:14:10.540 we know where you sleep at night.

00:14:11.860 That's pretty sick stuff.

00:14:12.880 But then one of the other chants

00:14:13.860 they said was,

00:14:15.440 no borders,

00:14:16.480 no wall,

00:14:17.660 no USA at all.

00:14:19.880 That's what you're dealing with.

00:14:21.300 You're dealing with people

00:14:22.220 who are openly calling

00:14:23.460 for the destruction

00:14:24.240 of the United States.

00:14:25.800 This is the same group

00:14:26.640 in D.C., by the way,

00:14:27.880 called Smash Racism D.C.,

00:14:29.780 which chased Ted Cruz

00:14:31.060 out of that restaurant.

00:14:32.880 So they're calling

00:14:33.760 for the abolition

00:14:34.500 of the United States.

00:14:35.420 A lot of these videos

00:14:36.140 now have disappeared

00:14:36.740 from social media

00:14:37.580 because obviously

00:14:38.560 they're quite violent.

00:14:41.140 Now,

00:14:41.800 what the left is saying

00:14:43.260 in response

00:14:43.920 is they're saying

00:14:45.200 that there are

00:14:46.540 right-wing extremists too.

00:14:48.620 What about that guy

00:14:49.460 who sent the mail bombs,

00:14:50.900 none of which went off

00:14:51.760 a couple weeks ago?

00:14:52.780 What about him?

00:14:53.700 See?

00:14:54.160 People on both sides.

00:14:55.440 Okay.

00:14:56.100 So what you're pointing to

00:14:57.420 is one homeless stripper

00:14:59.560 with a Make America Great Again hat

00:15:01.540 who failed to commit

00:15:03.560 violent acts

00:15:04.260 against left-wingers,

00:15:05.400 who failed 100%

00:15:06.780 to commit violent acts

00:15:07.660 against left-wingers. 0.76

00:15:08.980 Okay.

00:15:09.660 Yeah.

00:15:10.160 Bad guy.

00:15:11.000 The entire right unified

00:15:12.500 and condemned that guy.

00:15:14.260 Now,

00:15:14.800 what the right is pointing to

00:15:16.020 are these mobs 0.82

00:15:17.660 of violent wackos 1.00

00:15:19.440 who were busting down

00:15:21.360 Tucker Carlson's door,

00:15:22.820 who were attacking

00:15:23.420 Ted Cruz in public,

00:15:24.400 attacking Mitch McConnell

00:15:25.560 in public.

00:15:26.080 And how are the mainstream

00:15:28.060 left-wingers reacting?

00:15:29.420 They're encouraging it.

00:15:31.200 The right condemns 0.99

00:15:32.580 their lunatics. 0.94

00:15:33.660 The left encourages it. 0.87

00:15:35.560 Political commentators,

00:15:37.140 mainstream ones,

00:15:38.280 and elected officials alike,

00:15:39.760 Maxine Waters,

00:15:40.680 Eric Holder,

00:15:41.440 Hillary Clinton.

00:15:42.360 And just to look

00:15:43.040 at the talking heads,

00:15:44.200 I often recommend

00:15:46.060 that people read

00:15:46.660 Vox.com,

00:15:47.920 that left-wing website,

00:15:49.580 insane left-wing hack website,

00:15:51.400 but it's good to read it

00:15:52.380 to figure out

00:15:52.880 what the left is thinking.

00:15:53.940 I encourage people

00:15:54.840 to go read that.

00:15:55.420 A writer at Vox.com,

00:15:57.940 Matthew Iglesias,

00:15:59.500 this is how he responded

00:16:00.940 to this attack

00:16:03.380 on Tucker Carlson's family.

00:16:04.680 Quote,

00:16:05.080 I think the idea

00:16:06.140 behind terrorizing his family,

00:16:08.200 like it or not,

00:16:08.980 as a strategy,

00:16:10.460 is to make them feel

00:16:11.480 some of the fear

00:16:12.520 that the victims

00:16:13.640 of MAGA-inspired violence feel

00:16:16.060 thanks to the non-stop

00:16:18.060 racial incitement 0.68

00:16:19.120 coming from Tucker,

00:16:20.420 Trump, etc.

00:16:22.200 The victims,

00:16:23.860 Tucker Carlson's victim,

00:16:25.420 the victims of what?

00:16:27.540 The victims of tweets?

00:16:29.340 The victims of enforcing

00:16:31.840 our laws?

00:16:32.720 The victims of having

00:16:33.860 a border at all?

00:16:35.120 Is that what you're saying?

00:16:36.020 So he's defending

00:16:37.020 these thugs.

00:16:38.620 This is a very prominent 0.92

00:16:39.620 left-wing commentator

00:16:40.540 at perhaps the most prominent

00:16:42.300 left-wing online media outlet.

00:16:45.440 Defending it.

00:16:46.260 He then goes on,

00:16:47.200 because that wasn't enough

00:16:48.060 to defend them.

00:16:48.620 He says,

00:16:48.880 I honestly cannot empathize

00:16:50.680 with Tucker Carlson's wife

00:16:51.980 at all.

00:16:53.200 With his wife at all.

00:16:54.900 I agree that protesting

00:16:55.940 at her house

00:16:56.440 was tactically unwise

00:16:57.880 and shouldn't be done.

00:16:59.240 But I'm utterly unable

00:17:00.380 to identify with her plight

00:17:01.740 on any level.

00:17:02.800 Right,

00:17:03.160 because you're a child.

00:17:04.460 Because you're a little 0.99

00:17:05.220 whiny child. 0.87

00:17:06.120 I wonder what relationship

00:17:07.060 you have to your family, too.

00:17:08.340 Speaking of you.

00:17:09.180 Because you're lumping

00:17:09.860 yourself in,

00:17:10.520 Matthew Iglesias,

00:17:11.380 with all of these

00:17:12.320 sick little children

00:17:13.540 who are trying 1.00

00:17:14.680 to commit violence

00:17:15.460 against an innocent woman 0.57

00:17:16.900 for the crime

00:17:18.300 of being married

00:17:18.960 to a television

00:17:20.240 talk show host. 0.95

00:17:22.560 Sick stuff.

00:17:23.540 Really, really sick stuff. 0.96

00:17:24.960 And he's defending.

00:17:26.200 So don't ever let them

00:17:27.180 tell you that there's

00:17:27.860 a moral equivalence

00:17:28.760 between the left

00:17:29.300 and the right.

00:17:30.000 Oh, yeah,

00:17:30.600 there's a Trump fan

00:17:32.380 who sent a pipe bomb 0.56

00:17:33.440 and there are left-wingers

00:17:34.920 who attack people's houses.

00:17:35.960 It's all the same.

00:17:36.820 No.

00:17:37.260 The entire right

00:17:38.260 condemned the pipe bomb

00:17:40.200 homeless stripper. 1.00

00:17:41.960 Donald Trump came out 0.88

00:17:42.840 and said he should be prosecuted

00:17:43.900 to the fullest extent

00:17:44.660 of the law.

00:17:45.240 But when the left does it,

00:17:47.640 they're encouraged

00:17:48.500 by elected officials

00:17:49.700 and by these news media outlets.

00:17:52.040 He goes on.

00:17:52.500 I mean,

00:17:52.900 Matthew Iglesias went on

00:17:53.920 this crazy Twitter rant today.

00:17:55.100 He said,

00:17:55.520 I met a woman

00:17:56.100 who didn't leave the house

00:17:57.020 for months

00:17:57.540 because she was afraid

00:17:58.660 of being picked up by ICE

00:18:00.200 and never seeing

00:18:01.340 her U.S. citizen kids

00:18:02.640 and husband again.

00:18:03.680 What sense was there

00:18:04.460 in terrorizing her family?

00:18:07.680 She's in violation 0.99

00:18:08.580 of the law.

00:18:09.200 She's a foreign national. 0.99

00:18:11.220 We have laws

00:18:12.820 for a reason.

00:18:14.260 We have a border.

00:18:15.300 We have to be able

00:18:16.040 to decide who comes

00:18:16.740 into the country

00:18:17.240 who doesn't come 0.60

00:18:18.020 into the country.

00:18:18.880 What he actually said

00:18:19.640 is I met a criminal

00:18:20.380 who didn't go out

00:18:21.760 very much

00:18:22.260 because she didn't want 0.97

00:18:23.520 the cops to catch her

00:18:24.340 for her crime.

00:18:25.140 Okay, yeah,

00:18:26.160 it's too bad

00:18:26.820 that she committed a crime.

00:18:27.640 She shouldn't have done it.

00:18:29.300 But we have to have a border

00:18:30.760 because when you don't

00:18:31.360 have a border,

00:18:32.140 you incentivize horrible things

00:18:33.440 like 60 to 80 percent

00:18:34.800 of young women and girls

00:18:35.740 who cross the border illegally 0.90

00:18:36.860 being raped 0.98

00:18:37.620 or sexually assaulted 0.70

00:18:38.500 according to the Huffington Post

00:18:39.840 and Fusion

00:18:40.320 and Amnesty International.

00:18:41.320 Like human traffickers

00:18:43.500 bringing drugs

00:18:44.340 and children

00:18:44.880 across the border

00:18:45.660 to do nefarious things

00:18:46.900 with them.

00:18:47.360 Like unvetted people 1.00

00:18:48.440 like the national security

00:18:49.480 risk that it poses.

00:18:50.600 Like the fact

00:18:51.240 that every other country

00:18:52.180 on earth

00:18:52.580 gets to determine

00:18:53.540 who enters

00:18:54.160 and who leaves the country.

00:18:55.700 Mexico gets to,

00:18:56.580 Guatemala gets to,

00:18:57.480 Honduras gets to,

00:18:58.500 Nicaragua gets to,

00:18:59.360 but the United States

00:19:00.040 not allowed to.

00:19:01.060 Okay, absurd,

00:19:02.380 absurd comment 1.00

00:19:03.160 and true moral idiocy 1.00

00:19:04.600 from this guy. 1.00

00:19:05.220 You know,

00:19:06.360 last night

00:19:06.860 I was at this event

00:19:09.900 at Loyola Merrimand

00:19:10.960 with Drew.

00:19:11.980 We did a joint speech

00:19:13.360 and at this speech

00:19:15.540 race became a big issue.

00:19:17.980 There was an exclusively

00:19:19.620 black student group

00:19:20.660 who came

00:19:21.420 and they were protesting

00:19:22.420 and they were very angry

00:19:23.340 and this really reminded me

00:19:25.120 of some of the insanity

00:19:26.660 that's going on right now

00:19:27.680 at the college campuses.

00:19:28.960 At Ohio University right now,

00:19:31.040 there is a proposal

00:19:31.840 to have a minorities-only gym.

00:19:35.220 A gym that can only be used

00:19:37.420 by racial minorities.

00:19:38.700 Now, I assume

00:19:39.480 that the campus administrators

00:19:41.140 are going to tell us

00:19:42.120 that the gym

00:19:42.960 has this equal facilities

00:19:45.260 to the gym for white people.

00:19:46.960 It's just separate.

00:19:48.340 You might call the gym,

00:19:50.140 I don't know,

00:19:50.600 the separate but equal gym.

00:19:52.200 You have Democrats

00:19:53.380 advocating for racial segregation

00:19:55.640 because there is nothing new

00:19:57.340 under the sun.

00:19:58.460 Plus ça change,

00:19:59.460 plus c'est la même chose.

00:20:00.900 Nothing changes ever.

00:20:02.460 And this is going on

00:20:03.300 across the country.

00:20:04.160 There is a self-segregation

00:20:06.000 that is going on.

00:20:06.940 There is an insistence

00:20:07.840 by minority students

00:20:09.360 that we return to the days

00:20:10.700 of racial segregation.

00:20:12.280 There are a couple reasons

00:20:13.240 for this.

00:20:13.980 One reason is

00:20:15.280 that they don't know anything.

00:20:16.680 They don't know anything

00:20:17.220 about history.

00:20:17.900 They don't know anything

00:20:18.700 about politics.

00:20:19.860 They don't know about

00:20:20.380 the American founding

00:20:21.280 and they don't know

00:20:22.140 about the real state

00:20:22.920 of politics in America.

00:20:24.420 The other reason is

00:20:25.820 that victimhood

00:20:26.520 carries a currency today.

00:20:28.300 It carries a real currency.

00:20:30.380 There is a social status

00:20:31.700 associated with victimhood.

00:20:33.280 Obviously, you can look

00:20:34.640 at one particular example

00:20:37.360 of affirmative action

00:20:38.240 and say that victimhood

00:20:39.940 carries advantages

00:20:40.760 because if you can show

00:20:42.380 that your race

00:20:43.760 or your sex 0.98

00:20:44.680 or whatever

00:20:45.260 has been historically

00:20:46.360 oppressed in the United States,

00:20:48.100 then you gain an advantage

00:20:49.000 in college admissions.

00:20:50.400 But it also carries

00:20:52.060 a social advantage

00:20:52.840 beyond that.

00:20:53.660 At this event

00:20:54.300 at Loyola Merriman,

00:20:55.560 there was this group

00:20:56.320 of exclusively black students

00:20:57.860 and they came in

00:20:58.580 and they had duct tape

00:20:59.900 on their mouths

00:21:01.060 and they were protesting.

00:21:02.940 What they were protesting,

00:21:04.240 I don't know.

00:21:05.840 The suggestion seemed to be

00:21:07.460 that they were being censored

00:21:08.920 and so they were going

00:21:11.040 to protest that.

00:21:11.940 But of course,

00:21:12.460 they weren't being censored.

00:21:13.860 They put the duct tape

00:21:14.960 on their own mouths.

00:21:15.920 So Drew and I

00:21:16.980 confronted them

00:21:17.820 to show the hollowness

00:21:19.620 of this victim ideology.

00:21:21.620 Here it is.

00:21:22.740 All right.

00:21:23.020 This will be our last question

00:21:24.480 of the evening.

00:21:25.160 Well, you know,

00:21:25.580 before we go,

00:21:26.320 I should point out

00:21:27.200 there are people

00:21:27.660 in the back of the room

00:21:28.700 who have put tape

00:21:30.260 over their mouths 0.93

00:21:31.040 as though they've been censored,

00:21:32.280 as though they're not able

00:21:33.480 to speak.

00:21:34.600 So I'd just like

00:21:35.220 to take the opportunity.

00:21:36.440 Nobody is stopping you

00:21:37.260 from speaking.

00:21:38.160 Nobody is,

00:21:38.640 we're actually inviting you

00:21:39.660 to speak.

00:21:40.180 If anybody would like

00:21:41.000 to come up and ask a question,

00:21:42.540 now's your opportunity.

00:21:43.520 You can cut the entire line.

00:21:44.860 Would anybody

00:21:45.520 who has masking tape

00:21:47.380 over their mouths,

00:21:48.000 well, you don't have masking tape.

00:21:49.320 You can come ask a question too.

00:21:50.940 But I mean specifically

00:21:52.300 the people

00:21:52.820 who are making a statement

00:21:54.240 and saying,

00:21:55.040 I am being censored.

00:21:56.340 Would any of you

00:21:56.960 like to remove

00:21:57.640 the masking tape

00:21:58.460 which you put on yourself

00:21:59.840 and come up here

00:22:00.680 and ask a question?

00:22:01.620 Or would you rather

00:22:02.220 stand back there

00:22:03.060 and play the victim?

00:22:07.780 I think we got my answer.

00:22:09.100 Okay.

00:22:09.560 Next guy in line.

00:22:10.300 Let's hear it.

00:22:11.160 He's been waiting.

00:22:12.160 How did I know

00:22:12.980 that that was going to happen?

00:22:14.000 They stand there.

00:22:14.780 For those of you

00:22:15.240 who couldn't see,

00:22:16.240 they're standing there

00:22:17.320 with the tape

00:22:17.780 and they're just staring.

00:22:19.100 And they're staring,

00:22:19.980 looking,

00:22:20.420 they'd look slack-jawed

00:22:21.660 if they didn't have tape

00:22:22.360 on their mouths,

00:22:22.820 holding their mouth up.

00:22:23.740 Because the point

00:22:24.760 that they're trying to make

00:22:25.840 is totally empty.

00:22:27.220 But it is a wonderful reflection

00:22:29.440 of race hustling

00:22:31.000 and race politics

00:22:31.900 in America

00:22:32.460 because they put the tape

00:22:33.920 on their mouths themselves.

00:22:35.640 They did it themselves.

00:22:37.140 They did it

00:22:37.660 because there is a currency

00:22:38.560 to being a victim.

00:22:39.620 And when you call them out for it

00:22:41.020 and when you say,

00:22:41.960 you're not a victim,

00:22:42.920 you're not a victim at all,

00:22:44.440 you're here,

00:22:45.380 you can speak,

00:22:47.060 use that beautiful hand

00:22:48.500 that God gave you

00:22:49.300 to take the tape

00:22:50.500 off your own mouth, 0.84

00:22:51.420 the tape that you put

00:22:52.340 on yourself

00:22:52.900 and speak,

00:22:54.160 use your voice,

00:22:55.300 use your political speech,

00:22:56.700 use the thing,

00:22:57.500 the very thing

00:22:58.140 that makes us human,

00:22:59.500 the ability

00:22:59.980 to have meaningful speech.

00:23:01.560 Use it

00:23:01.960 and we'll engage

00:23:02.720 and we can talk.

00:23:03.540 They can't do it

00:23:04.160 because they have nothing to say.

00:23:05.400 Nothing to say

00:23:06.220 other than insinuation

00:23:07.720 and race-hustling nonsense

00:23:09.880 to suggest.

00:23:11.400 The suggestion

00:23:12.060 on their signs

00:23:12.800 that they were holding up

00:23:13.580 is that Drew and I

00:23:15.900 are racist. 0.84

00:23:17.480 I don't know

00:23:18.060 where they got that from.

00:23:19.020 I don't know

00:23:19.300 what their evidence is

00:23:20.280 that Drew and I

00:23:21.420 were somehow

00:23:22.020 preventing them

00:23:22.700 from speaking.

00:23:23.360 So I wanted to point out

00:23:24.460 that nobody's preventing them

00:23:25.720 from speaking

00:23:26.140 but nobody is.

00:23:28.460 Candace Owens

00:23:29.220 started this

00:23:29.900 walk-away campaign

00:23:31.140 and now she's calling it

00:23:32.800 Blexit, I think,

00:23:33.960 the black exit

00:23:34.940 from the Democrat Party

00:23:35.820 because for so long

00:23:36.960 black voters

00:23:39.020 have voted

00:23:39.600 90%

00:23:40.740 with Democrats

00:23:41.620 between

00:23:42.160 mid-80s

00:23:43.140 and low-90s

00:23:44.660 percent

00:23:45.300 with Democrats

00:23:45.980 and it's bizarre

00:23:46.960 that a race would vote

00:23:47.880 so uniformly

00:23:48.740 with one political party.

00:23:50.420 You don't see this

00:23:50.940 with other races

00:23:51.540 and she's saying

00:23:52.000 you can walk away.

00:23:53.280 You're being sold

00:23:53.840 a bill of goods

00:23:54.560 and what they're being told

00:23:56.080 is that the Republican Party 0.83

00:23:57.180 is racist. 1.00

00:23:58.040 Conservatives are racist. 1.00

00:23:59.100 They hate you. 1.00

00:23:59.660 They don't like you.

00:24:00.320 They don't want you.

00:24:01.240 They want to hurt you.

00:24:02.620 Whatever. 0.99

00:24:03.220 Whatever sick lies

00:24:04.780 that they're being told 0.99

00:24:05.480 by race hustlers

00:24:06.400 and so they've gone along

00:24:08.940 with this.

00:24:09.920 Nobody is trying to stop you.

00:24:11.360 Nobody is trying to stop you

00:24:12.380 from speaking.

00:24:13.260 Freedom is a wonderful thing.

00:24:14.940 Opening up your mouth

00:24:16.000 and using your political speech

00:24:17.200 and engaging with people

00:24:18.280 with whom you think

00:24:19.600 you disagree

00:24:20.220 even though I suspect

00:24:21.400 you probably don't disagree

00:24:22.360 on very much

00:24:23.000 but you don't know that

00:24:23.980 because you're so interested

00:24:25.740 in looking at yourself

00:24:26.760 and preening

00:24:27.360 and making yourself

00:24:28.160 into a victim

00:24:28.760 that you won't actually engage

00:24:30.740 and open your mouth

00:24:31.460 and talk to your fellow Americans.

00:24:33.620 Really sad. 1.00

00:24:34.280 Really pathetic. 1.00

00:24:35.400 That university 1.00

00:24:36.000 has clearly failed them

00:24:37.080 and their families

00:24:37.640 have failed them too.

00:24:38.660 There's a theme

00:24:39.300 I think growing today

00:24:40.360 among the people

00:24:41.540 we're looking at

00:24:42.200 on the left

00:24:42.800 and this is a theme broadly

00:24:44.300 that as social structures

00:24:47.080 have collapsed

00:24:47.600 as family structures

00:24:48.540 have collapsed

00:24:49.140 local communities

00:24:50.140 have collapsed

00:24:50.700 people are really falling 0.99

00:24:52.000 into political idiocy 1.00

00:24:53.500 and political extremism 1.00

00:24:55.100 on the left

00:24:55.680 and it's a sad state

00:24:56.460 of affairs

00:24:56.880 and it's being encouraged

00:24:58.040 by elected officials.

00:25:00.400 You know now

00:25:00.880 the guy who was running

00:25:01.940 for governor

00:25:02.540 of Florida

00:25:04.180 Andrew Gillum

00:25:05.060 he's a socialist 0.60

00:25:05.800 race hustler

00:25:06.620 who baselessly accused

00:25:08.380 Republican Ron DeSantis

00:25:09.880 of being a racist

00:25:11.100 absolutely no grounding

00:25:12.780 for that whatsoever.

00:25:13.520 He conceded

00:25:14.520 because he got beaten

00:25:15.280 by DeSantis

00:25:15.920 and then he unconceded

00:25:17.480 because Democrats

00:25:19.640 can never concede

00:25:20.520 an election

00:25:20.940 they just need to dig up

00:25:21.960 a few more dead votes

00:25:22.900 and then they'll be able

00:25:23.980 to put them over the top

00:25:24.900 so he's unconceded.

00:25:27.280 Stacey Abrams

00:25:28.200 who is running

00:25:29.400 in Georgia

00:25:30.100 for governor of Georgia

00:25:30.900 she has unconceded

00:25:32.240 or maybe she didn't

00:25:33.480 concede in the first place

00:25:34.500 even though she got beat

00:25:35.300 so Bernie Sanders

00:25:36.680 has come out now

00:25:37.600 and he is blaming

00:25:38.500 racism

00:25:39.340 for not electing

00:25:41.080 Stacey Abrams

00:25:42.080 who's black

00:25:42.580 and Andrew Gillum

00:25:43.300 who's black 0.79

00:25:43.800 blaming racism 0.99

00:25:44.920 that's all they've got

00:25:45.920 that's the only thing

00:25:46.780 that they can say

00:25:47.460 and it's meaningless

00:25:48.500 and I highly recommend

00:25:50.140 it was a cathartic

00:25:50.940 moment last night

00:25:51.740 when you go out

00:25:52.860 and you say

00:25:54.080 here's your opportunity

00:25:54.920 tell me everything

00:25:55.580 you want to tell me

00:25:56.360 they won't say anything

00:25:58.000 because there's nothing

00:25:58.780 to it

00:25:59.100 there's nothing

00:25:59.680 to the charge at all

00:26:00.580 it's just sick

00:26:02.000 race hustling

00:26:02.640 and it's the sign

00:26:03.200 of a desperate

00:26:03.680 Democrat party

00:26:04.480 you know

00:26:04.960 one of the great

00:26:05.580 aspects of the midterms

00:26:06.700 is that

00:26:07.580 in those key races

00:26:09.280 the Democrat candidates

00:26:11.280 whom the party

00:26:12.580 really wanted to propel

00:26:14.000 really wanted to make

00:26:15.160 into stars

00:26:15.780 failed

00:26:16.560 Beto O'Rourke

00:26:18.360 got beaten

00:26:19.500 Beto O'Rourke

00:26:20.580 Stacey Abrams

00:26:21.960 Andrew Gillum

00:26:22.860 was being talked about

00:26:23.980 as a possible

00:26:24.700 Democrat presidential nominee

00:26:26.400 they all got beat

00:26:27.260 and

00:26:28.500 as a result now

00:26:29.900 there was a poll

00:26:31.340 that Hill TV

00:26:32.060 took

00:26:33.260 it was the Hill TV

00:26:34.200 American Barometer poll

00:26:35.320 680 Democrat voters

00:26:37.240 so

00:26:37.880 a relatively small

00:26:39.020 sample size

00:26:39.640 nevertheless

00:26:40.200 who do you think

00:26:41.360 came up first

00:26:42.020 we know all the people

00:26:42.800 we've talked about

00:26:43.420 as possible 2020 candidates

00:26:44.880 Joe Biden

00:26:45.840 Laya Watha

00:26:47.180 Cory Booker

00:26:48.800 Hillary 0.96

00:26:49.960 still being talked about

00:26:51.500 the revivified corpse

00:26:52.800 of Hillary Clinton

00:26:53.500 marching on

00:26:54.440 to her 75th

00:26:55.380 try at the White House

00:26:56.480 so

00:26:57.040 Joe Biden

00:26:57.740 got 168 votes

00:26:58.860 he came in second

00:27:00.600 Bernie Sanders

00:27:01.880 got 123

00:27:02.540 came in third

00:27:03.540 Hillary 0.96

00:27:04.540 somehow found 80 votes

00:27:06.200 Kamala Harris

00:27:08.160 28 votes

00:27:08.920 Mike Bloomberg

00:27:09.420 27 votes

00:27:10.340 do you know

00:27:11.020 who came in first

00:27:11.740 none of the above

00:27:13.680 none of the above

00:27:15.360 won the

00:27:16.280 Democrat preference poll

00:27:17.920 and this is especially

00:27:19.000 true among

00:27:19.500 younger voters

00:27:20.660 so for

00:27:21.660 for older voters

00:27:23.300 they still

00:27:24.520 selected

00:27:25.080 none of the above

00:27:25.740 but that

00:27:26.340 the percentage

00:27:26.880 increased among

00:27:27.680 younger voters

00:27:28.320 and which is

00:27:29.040 obviously the case

00:27:29.900 nobody wants

00:27:31.120 Hillary Clinton

00:27:32.020 to be president

00:27:32.780 though they might

00:27:33.440 nominate her anyway 1.00

00:27:34.220 all of these

00:27:35.100 desiccated 1.00

00:27:35.880 old corrupt 1.00

00:27:36.580 crony Democrats 0.99

00:27:38.120 all they've got

00:27:39.300 is they're running

00:27:39.940 on resentment

00:27:40.700 they're running

00:27:41.320 on racism

00:27:42.180 and sexism 0.85

00:27:43.100 and all that 0.98

00:27:43.940 sick hustling

00:27:44.640 they've got no issues 0.89

00:27:45.540 to back them up

00:27:46.460 and Democrats

00:27:47.060 want a different choice

00:27:48.120 I'm not surprised

00:27:49.340 but their future star

00:27:51.360 has just got beaten

00:27:52.280 they're at

00:27:52.960 Michael Avenatti

00:27:53.640 is probably going to

00:27:54.360 start wearing

00:27:54.940 an orange jumpsuit

00:27:55.840 pretty soon

00:27:56.400 as he's been referred

00:27:57.480 for criminal investigation

00:27:58.780 by the Senate

00:27:59.680 Judiciary Committee

00:28:00.580 they've got nobody

00:28:02.100 they've got nothing

00:28:02.980 they're running

00:28:03.440 they're running

00:28:03.460 on empty

00:28:03.860 that's why

00:28:04.220 they run

00:28:04.520 on racism

00:28:05.060 and it's really sad

00:28:06.560 we should speak

00:28:07.380 for just a second

00:28:08.520 about the shooting

00:28:09.300 in Thousand Oaks

00:28:10.320 this morning

00:28:11.300 this shooting

00:28:12.120 happened very early

00:28:13.120 in the morning

00:28:13.600 it was a massive shooting

00:28:15.160 12 people are dead

00:28:16.260 so far

00:28:17.200 also the gunman

00:28:18.520 is dead

00:28:18.980 and a lot of people

00:28:20.520 are injured up there

00:28:21.700 this was

00:28:23.100 in a country music bar

00:28:25.300 country music dance bar

00:28:26.660 this guy comes in

00:28:27.820 and just starts shooting

00:28:28.600 it turns out

00:28:29.300 he's a Marine Corps veteran

00:28:30.280 he served in Afghanistan

00:28:31.360 and already

00:28:33.800 of course

00:28:34.780 the gun control

00:28:35.480 activists are out

00:28:36.340 this was trending

00:28:37.060 on Twitter

00:28:37.980 within an hour

00:28:39.500 I think of the shooting

00:28:40.460 this

00:28:42.360 obviously

00:28:43.560 prayers to

00:28:44.600 the victims

00:28:45.120 and their families

00:28:45.840 from the political angle

00:28:48.360 reacting to the

00:28:49.380 political activists

00:28:50.100 who are already

00:28:50.800 trying to push

00:28:51.460 for gun control

00:28:52.080 this is an interesting

00:28:53.420 case

00:28:53.940 because

00:28:54.880 it's an ex-military

00:28:56.820 guy

00:28:57.240 who committed

00:28:58.000 the murders

00:28:58.540 so this is a guy

00:29:00.000 who was well trained

00:29:00.800 with weapons

00:29:01.340 who had security

00:29:02.260 clearances

00:29:02.840 who had background

00:29:03.880 checks at least

00:29:04.580 who knew how to use

00:29:05.520 a gun

00:29:05.860 who by any measure

00:29:08.000 when we're talking

00:29:08.740 about gun control

00:29:09.380 we say that law

00:29:10.640 enforcement and ex-military

00:29:11.760 should be able

00:29:12.260 to have guns

00:29:12.880 he had his guns

00:29:14.460 he purchased the guns

00:29:15.260 legally

00:29:15.640 the gun was not

00:29:17.140 an AR-15

00:29:17.860 they always try to

00:29:18.860 on the left

00:29:19.420 say that AR-15s

00:29:20.880 need to be banned

00:29:21.580 and this will stop

00:29:22.260 the problem

00:29:22.780 even though virtually

00:29:23.840 nobody is killed

00:29:24.880 every year

00:29:25.380 from AR-15s

00:29:27.060 the vast

00:29:27.620 vast majority

00:29:28.280 of people

00:29:28.780 killed

00:29:29.400 in gun incidents

00:29:30.800 those incidents

00:29:32.260 involved handguns

00:29:33.300 this guy used

00:29:34.100 a handgun

00:29:34.680 as well

00:29:35.320 so none

00:29:37.580 of the boxes

00:29:38.280 that they would

00:29:38.760 typically be pushing

00:29:39.600 out for gun control

00:29:40.620 would qualify

00:29:41.940 in this case

00:29:43.240 however

00:29:44.360 there is one aspect

00:29:45.520 which is not gun control

00:29:46.700 which might have helped

00:29:47.620 prevent this shooting

00:29:48.820 which is that

00:29:49.980 in recent years

00:29:50.980 deputies have

00:29:52.080 interacted with this guy

00:29:53.300 for domestic

00:29:54.720 disturbances

00:29:55.400 actually a sheriff's

00:29:56.620 deputy was one

00:29:57.280 of the victims

00:29:57.840 one of the people

00:29:58.660 he went in

00:29:59.060 he was first on the scene

00:29:59.940 he went in there

00:30:00.840 to try to stop him

00:30:01.660 and unfortunately

00:30:02.880 he was killed

00:30:03.660 deputies have interacted

00:30:05.280 with this killer

00:30:05.960 in recent years

00:30:06.760 for domestic disturbances

00:30:08.020 and they came in

00:30:09.820 and they realized

00:30:10.600 he was almost certainly

00:30:11.540 suffering from

00:30:12.140 post-traumatic stress disorder

00:30:13.400 he served in Afghanistan

00:30:15.040 a lot of soldiers

00:30:16.280 come back with PTSD

00:30:17.280 seemed like he was

00:30:18.420 suffering from it

00:30:19.140 they couldn't do

00:30:19.900 anything about it

00:30:20.660 they couldn't do

00:30:21.820 anything about it

00:30:22.620 because

00:30:23.300 they couldn't

00:30:24.700 involuntarily

00:30:25.480 commit him

00:30:26.080 it's virtually impossible

00:30:27.560 to involuntarily

00:30:29.080 commit people

00:30:29.780 to mental institutions

00:30:31.100 today

00:30:31.860 and that's been the case

00:30:32.960 for decades and decades

00:30:34.080 because they couldn't

00:30:35.620 do that

00:30:35.980 because they couldn't

00:30:36.860 throw him in a loony bin

00:30:37.860 to protect the public 0.99

00:30:38.800 from him

00:30:39.340 12 people are dead

00:30:40.440 today

00:30:40.720 there is no gun law

00:30:42.740 that they could have passed

00:30:43.720 short of confiscation

00:30:45.140 and even then

00:30:45.920 even then

00:30:46.920 there are 300 million

00:30:47.820 guns in the country

00:30:48.600 criminals will get

00:30:49.660 their hands on guns

00:30:50.400 there's no gun law

00:30:51.420 that they could have passed

00:30:52.540 to prevent this shooting

00:30:53.380 but if you made it easier

00:30:55.620 I've been saying this

00:30:56.460 every time there's a mass shooting

00:30:57.680 if you made it easier

00:30:59.000 to involuntarily 0.89

00:31:00.360 commit insane people 0.74

00:31:01.940 who are a danger 0.97

00:31:02.880 to themselves

00:31:03.500 and to others

00:31:04.360 you could have

00:31:05.800 prevented this shooting

00:31:06.560 that's the one thing

00:31:07.440 you could have done

00:31:07.960 that would have prevented it

00:31:08.980 but very few people

00:31:09.660 are talking about it

00:31:10.500 because

00:31:11.240 it doesn't serve

00:31:13.580 people's political agendas

00:31:14.820 especially on the left

00:31:15.880 and because it's

00:31:16.860 a very difficult thing

00:31:18.200 to say

00:31:18.800 that we need

00:31:19.540 to use the force

00:31:21.060 force of the state

00:31:22.080 to be able to commit

00:31:23.160 insane people 0.95

00:31:23.820 who pose a danger

00:31:24.660 it's a tough thing

00:31:25.520 the right doesn't like it

00:31:26.400 the left doesn't like it

00:31:27.400 nevertheless it's true

00:31:28.960 okay

00:31:29.420 we've got to say goodbye

00:31:30.800 to Facebook and YouTube

00:31:31.420 we've got a lot of mailbag

00:31:32.240 coming up

00:31:32.800 if you're not on

00:31:34.040 dailywire.com

00:31:34.940 that means you're on

00:31:35.580 social media

00:31:36.100 but you probably won't be

00:31:36.940 for long

00:31:37.300 because you'll probably

00:31:37.780 get censored

00:31:38.260 go to dailywire

00:31:39.360 it's 10 bucks a month

00:31:40.600 $100 for an annual membership

00:31:41.860 you get me

00:31:42.660 you get the Andrew Klavan show

00:31:43.620 you get the Ben Shapiro show

00:31:44.640 you get to ask questions

00:31:45.460 in the mailbag

00:31:46.040 you get to ask questions

00:31:46.640 in the conversation

00:31:47.360 I think I'm coming up

00:31:48.420 on that next by the way

00:31:49.440 you also get

00:31:51.480 the most important thing

00:31:52.440 in the world

00:31:52.880 which is

00:31:54.040 early access

00:31:55.320 to another kingdom

00:31:55.980 you get to watch

00:31:56.720 another kingdom

00:31:57.280 on Mondays

00:31:58.040 other people

00:31:59.200 who are not subscribers

00:32:00.040 have to wait

00:32:00.660 years and years

00:32:01.560 and years

00:32:02.060 or at least until Friday

00:32:03.200 to get the audio

00:32:03.980 you'll get to see

00:32:04.800 the whole thing

00:32:05.180 with all of that artwork

00:32:06.000 and oh yes

00:32:06.700 there it is

00:32:07.200 the leftist tears

00:32:08.460 tumblr

00:32:09.240 you get the leftist tears

00:32:11.020 tumblr

00:32:11.560 I wish that I'd brought

00:32:12.540 some of these last night

00:32:13.380 to Loyola Marymount

00:32:14.340 so that I could have

00:32:15.200 used them to swim

00:32:16.340 my way off of the campus

00:32:18.060 you need yours as well

00:32:19.280 it's the only FDA

00:32:19.960 approved device

00:32:20.680 to handle salty

00:32:22.180 radioactive

00:32:22.840 delicious leftist tears

00:32:24.000 go to dailywire.com

00:32:25.160 we'll be right back

00:32:25.620 with the mailbag

00:32:26.120 we're going to get

00:32:37.640 through them all today

00:32:38.260 probably not

00:32:39.020 but we'll try

00:32:39.480 from Jerry

00:32:40.140 in all of entertainment

00:32:42.120 what industry

00:32:43.140 that is music

00:32:44.320 film

00:32:44.660 TV

00:32:45.020 theater

00:32:45.500 fiction

00:32:45.960 etc

00:32:46.300 do you think

00:32:47.460 would have

00:32:48.100 the best cultural impact

00:32:49.780 if it became

00:32:50.720 more politically balanced

00:32:52.140 music

00:32:54.180 the music industry

00:32:55.080 that's the one

00:32:55.940 and it's not even

00:32:57.840 about political balance

00:32:58.900 it's actually a little

00:32:59.540 bigger than political balance

00:33:00.860 it has to become

00:33:02.140 less tribal

00:33:03.320 and passionate

00:33:04.100 this is true

00:33:04.940 of pop music

00:33:05.580 it's true of rap

00:33:06.340 it's true of dubstep

00:33:07.760 EDM

00:33:08.320 whatever

00:33:08.780 if it became

00:33:10.280 more sophisticated

00:33:11.120 our politics

00:33:12.160 would improve

00:33:12.780 greatly

00:33:13.420 look

00:33:14.100 it would be good

00:33:14.640 if we had movies

00:33:15.380 about how great

00:33:16.000 Ronald Reagan is

00:33:16.820 it would be good

00:33:17.920 if we had TV shows

00:33:19.220 that describe the world

00:33:20.500 as it is

00:33:21.100 rather than some

00:33:21.780 leftist fantasy

00:33:22.540 but music is the most

00:33:23.780 important of the art forms

00:33:25.620 the ancient Greeks

00:33:26.540 talked about this

00:33:27.160 Plato talked about this

00:33:28.420 and hearing

00:33:30.020 is the most important

00:33:31.080 sense

00:33:31.820 throughout the Bible

00:33:33.300 you always hear

00:33:34.300 the word of God

00:33:35.100 God speaks to you

00:33:36.060 you hear the voice

00:33:37.020 of God

00:33:37.460 Christ

00:33:38.340 is the word

00:33:39.320 is the word

00:33:39.920 made flesh

00:33:40.480 you hear

00:33:41.480 the voice of God

00:33:43.240 and it's because

00:33:44.020 to hear things

00:33:46.080 it cuts right

00:33:47.560 through the soul

00:33:48.180 and this is true

00:33:49.040 when you listen to music

00:33:49.820 when you're in your car

00:33:51.220 and you're listening

00:33:51.840 to Haydn

00:33:53.140 or Brahms

00:33:53.820 or something

00:33:54.280 and you're

00:33:54.620 driving down the road

00:33:55.980 listening to Bach

00:33:56.960 and then

00:33:57.160 then you get out

00:33:59.760 of your car

00:34:00.160 you feel a certain way

00:34:01.360 your head is

00:34:02.800 in a more

00:34:04.320 rational place

00:34:05.320 if you're in your car

00:34:06.560 and you're just

00:34:07.420 blasting EDM

00:34:08.900 like

00:34:09.040 you're going to

00:34:12.500 get out of your car

00:34:13.180 feeling more

00:34:13.800 like an animal

00:34:14.420 you're going to

00:34:15.440 feel like a brute

00:34:16.200 for lack

00:34:16.860 of a better word

00:34:17.920 because

00:34:18.640 percussive

00:34:20.520 tribal

00:34:21.340 brutal music

00:34:22.800 deadens

00:34:23.980 your rational

00:34:24.680 faculties

00:34:25.840 and incites

00:34:26.980 the base passions

00:34:27.960 I don't know

00:34:29.180 how to say that

00:34:29.660 more politically

00:34:30.240 incorrectly

00:34:31.180 than that

00:34:32.420 but the ancient Greeks

00:34:33.320 knew what they were

00:34:33.880 talking about

00:34:34.460 and this has been

00:34:35.100 true throughout

00:34:35.520 the history

00:34:35.960 of western music

00:34:37.180 specifically

00:34:38.520 percussion

00:34:39.320 really arouses

00:34:40.600 passions

00:34:41.900 that are at odds

00:34:42.780 with your rational

00:34:43.380 faculties

00:34:44.020 so if we were

00:34:44.880 able to get

00:34:45.380 into music

00:34:45.840 and I'm not

00:34:46.180 saying we need

00:34:46.600 to play

00:34:47.960 the MAGA song

00:34:49.820 or something

00:34:50.360 start to get

00:34:50.960 pop music

00:34:51.480 to use

00:34:52.460 more conservative

00:34:53.140 words

00:34:53.540 I'm saying

00:34:53.880 that the music

00:34:54.420 itself

00:34:54.840 should be

00:34:55.580 more conservative

00:34:56.340 I think it would

00:34:57.200 really tamp down

00:34:57.920 passions

00:34:58.400 because also

00:34:59.240 that's the art

00:34:59.760 form we interact

00:35:00.460 with the most

00:35:01.020 we hear it

00:35:01.620 in coffee shops

00:35:02.260 we're playing

00:35:02.640 it on our iPods

00:35:03.660 we're playing

00:35:04.020 it when we're

00:35:04.320 in the car

00:35:04.820 we listen to it

00:35:06.420 at bars

00:35:06.840 and clubs

00:35:07.320 we're constantly

00:35:08.520 interacting with music

00:35:09.560 if music were

00:35:10.920 better and more

00:35:11.980 sophisticated

00:35:12.440 our culture would

00:35:13.480 be better and more

00:35:14.040 sophisticated too

00:35:14.860 from Peter

00:35:15.780 Mr. Knowles

00:35:17.300 I recently subscribed

00:35:18.460 but now face a

00:35:19.320 dilemma

00:35:19.840 I have a wonderful

00:35:21.320 girlfriend who wants 0.88

00:35:22.180 my leftist tears

00:35:23.020 tumbler

00:35:23.460 I can't say no

00:35:24.540 as I'm lucky enough

00:35:25.720 to have found a

00:35:26.440 conservative girlfriend

00:35:27.340 could you find it

00:35:28.540 in your charitable

00:35:29.400 catholic heart

00:35:30.400 to intercede

00:35:31.480 on my behalf

00:35:32.080 and ask Ben

00:35:32.880 if I can get a

00:35:33.540 second tumbler

00:35:34.200 absolutely not

00:35:36.760 you sick 1.00

00:35:38.100 monster 1.00

00:35:38.940 you hedonistic 1.00

00:35:40.540 entitled millennial 0.98

00:35:42.240 you hit the

00:35:44.500 gold mine

00:35:45.360 so you're a

00:35:46.740 subscriber

00:35:47.220 you've been able

00:35:47.780 to use the

00:35:48.740 leftist tears

00:35:49.260 tumbler

00:35:49.680 the only FDA

00:35:50.340 approved device

00:35:51.020 to safely

00:35:52.520 dispose of

00:35:53.180 leftist tears

00:35:53.640 you're getting

00:35:55.400 along

00:35:55.780 and then you

00:35:56.220 meet a

00:35:56.740 beautiful

00:35:57.220 wonderful

00:35:57.920 conservative

00:35:58.720 girlfriend

00:35:59.260 and she wants 0.90

00:36:00.720 your tumbler

00:36:01.220 and you have

00:36:02.260 the honor

00:36:02.880 of giving

00:36:03.520 to your lady

00:36:04.540 your tumbler

00:36:05.280 and then

00:36:06.460 you have the

00:36:07.560 temerity

00:36:08.140 to ask

00:36:08.820 for another

00:36:09.380 one

00:36:09.740 that's not

00:36:10.340 how it works

00:36:10.900 in this life

00:36:11.440 bucko

00:36:11.940 count your

00:36:12.700 blessings

00:36:13.160 you have a

00:36:14.000 wonderful woman 0.98

00:36:14.700 on your arm

00:36:15.320 you've got at

00:36:15.980 least one

00:36:16.440 leftist tears

00:36:17.040 tumbler

00:36:17.480 that you two

00:36:18.140 can share

00:36:18.900 that you can

00:36:19.600 come together

00:36:20.240 as one flesh

00:36:21.020 and guzzle

00:36:21.480 leftist tears

00:36:22.480 and you want

00:36:23.260 another one

00:36:23.820 talk about

00:36:24.680 talk about

00:36:26.080 modernity

00:36:26.720 talk about

00:36:27.600 just never

00:36:28.820 knowing when

00:36:29.900 you've got

00:36:30.420 enough

00:36:30.820 you should

00:36:31.240 you should think

00:36:32.820 long and hard

00:36:33.440 about your life

00:36:34.400 and stop and

00:36:35.580 count your blessings

00:36:36.440 from margo

00:36:38.440 hi definitely

00:36:39.880 not michael

00:36:40.620 knowles

00:36:41.080 why is it

00:36:42.100 that lefties

00:36:43.000 tend to

00:36:43.760 degenerate

00:36:44.500 and use

00:36:44.840 profanity

00:36:45.480 it seems

00:36:46.260 that conservatives

00:36:46.960 tend to use

00:36:47.540 more polite

00:36:48.080 and eloquent

00:36:48.680 language

00:36:49.200 what's the

00:36:49.880 point of the

00:36:50.460 profanity

00:36:51.040 it's not

00:36:52.160 appealing

00:36:52.540 and makes

00:36:53.060 me think

00:36:53.580 even less

00:36:54.120 of them

00:36:54.460 cheers

00:36:55.000 and covfefe

00:36:55.760 they speak

00:36:57.480 in a profane

00:36:58.360 vulgar

00:36:59.000 incoherent

00:36:59.660 way

00:36:59.960 because their

00:37:00.700 thoughts are

00:37:01.560 profane

00:37:02.060 and vulgar

00:37:02.600 and incoherent

00:37:03.420 they can't

00:37:04.620 state what

00:37:05.220 they believe

00:37:05.700 they don't

00:37:06.820 have a

00:37:07.960 coherent view

00:37:08.540 of the world

00:37:09.040 and so they

00:37:09.840 have to

00:37:10.240 pepper their

00:37:11.100 spasms of

00:37:12.720 speech

00:37:13.220 with profanities

00:37:14.640 they do this

00:37:15.740 because they're

00:37:16.180 not confident

00:37:16.800 in what they

00:37:17.260 believe

00:37:17.560 and they're

00:37:18.220 trying too

00:37:18.820 hard

00:37:19.000 they're pushing

00:37:19.520 they think

00:37:20.280 that if they

00:37:20.740 say the

00:37:21.680 f-word

00:37:22.260 then you'll

00:37:23.060 take them

00:37:23.460 seriously

00:37:24.000 that's the

00:37:24.480 pod save

00:37:24.900 america guys

00:37:25.620 they don't

00:37:26.040 really say

00:37:26.480 anything

00:37:26.820 they say

00:37:27.160 it's so

00:37:27.640 f-ing important

00:37:28.560 I'm a

00:37:28.980 serious person

00:37:29.800 that's why

00:37:31.260 they do it

00:37:31.620 now there are

00:37:32.240 uses of

00:37:32.800 profanity

00:37:33.260 there are

00:37:33.480 plenty of

00:37:33.780 uses of

00:37:34.180 profanity

00:37:34.660 but not

00:37:35.320 the way

00:37:35.560 that they

00:37:35.860 use it

00:37:36.400 because they

00:37:36.820 use it

00:37:37.160 in this

00:37:37.380 whiny 0.62

00:37:37.840 emotional

00:37:38.600 earnest

00:37:39.260 way

00:37:39.720 really swearing

00:37:41.000 you know

00:37:41.320 swearing in the 0.77

00:37:41.920 sense of

00:37:42.180 they're making

00:37:42.620 a swear

00:37:43.140 they're making

00:37:43.780 an oath

00:37:44.300 they're cursing

00:37:45.260 you

00:37:45.460 they're literally

00:37:46.120 cursing their

00:37:47.300 opponents when

00:37:47.940 they do it

00:37:48.460 you can use

00:37:49.400 profanity

00:37:50.000 in a way

00:37:50.960 that's funny

00:37:51.720 you know

00:37:52.300 when you're

00:37:52.600 hanging out

00:37:52.980 with the guys

00:37:53.580 and you've

00:37:54.000 got a good

00:37:54.480 joke

00:37:54.820 and then you

00:37:55.620 use profanity

00:37:56.400 to make

00:37:56.920 that joke

00:37:57.480 funnier

00:37:58.120 that's a

00:37:58.500 very different

00:37:59.000 use of

00:37:59.420 profanity

00:37:59.980 you're not

00:38:00.580 doing it

00:38:00.920 out of

00:38:01.140 anger

00:38:01.560 you're not

00:38:01.920 doing it

00:38:02.180 to hurt

00:38:02.520 or curse

00:38:02.980 or swear

00:38:03.600 you're doing

00:38:05.260 it to

00:38:05.600 liven up

00:38:06.940 the conversation

00:38:07.620 and make it

00:38:08.120 funny

00:38:08.460 this is why

00:38:09.400 guys will

00:38:09.960 use profanity

00:38:10.660 when they're

00:38:10.960 around each

00:38:11.420 other

00:38:11.620 but they'll

00:38:12.380 use it a

00:38:12.780 little less

00:38:13.220 when they're

00:38:13.560 around women

00:38:14.160 traditionally

00:38:14.700 they don't

00:38:15.440 use it

00:38:15.720 around women

00:38:16.200 at all

00:38:16.620 and now

00:38:17.340 in culture

00:38:17.720 it's much

00:38:18.060 more common

00:38:18.540 to do that

00:38:19.080 but it's

00:38:20.420 because it

00:38:21.340 is foul

00:38:21.940 it is 0.55

00:38:22.360 disgusting

00:38:22.960 it's not 0.97

00:38:23.880 fit for

00:38:24.660 public use

00:38:25.300 I was on

00:38:26.040 a panel

00:38:26.420 about comedy

00:38:27.020 and someone

00:38:27.360 asked me

00:38:27.840 if I would

00:38:28.480 swear

00:38:28.940 or I was on

00:38:29.480 a podcast

00:38:30.580 or are you

00:38:31.440 going to

00:38:31.640 start using

00:38:32.060 a lot

00:38:32.320 of profanity

00:38:32.900 I said

00:38:33.140 no

00:38:33.460 I'll do

00:38:35.040 that if

00:38:35.340 I'm at

00:38:35.540 a bar

00:38:36.020 with the

00:38:36.440 guys

00:38:36.840 but I'm

00:38:37.160 not going

00:38:37.400 to do

00:38:37.660 it if

00:38:37.880 I'm in

00:38:38.160 public

00:38:38.480 on a

00:38:38.780 public

00:38:39.080 platform

00:38:39.780 there's

00:38:40.120 a time

00:38:40.380 and a

00:38:40.540 place

00:38:40.720 for

00:38:40.900 everything

00:38:41.280 but the

00:38:42.200 left

00:38:42.360 doesn't

00:38:42.640 know

00:38:42.820 about

00:38:43.140 appropriate

00:38:44.320 situations

00:38:45.020 and the

00:38:45.720 right

00:38:45.940 times

00:38:46.240 and places

00:38:46.660 they want

00:38:47.580 to behave

00:38:48.260 like hedonists

00:38:49.200 and little

00:38:49.940 children

00:38:50.300 all the

00:38:51.020 time

00:38:51.360 everywhere

00:38:51.920 and that's

00:38:53.760 why we

00:38:54.020 think less

00:38:54.340 of them

00:38:54.580 and that's

00:38:54.920 why you

00:38:55.160 think less

00:38:55.540 of them

00:38:55.800 from

00:38:56.340 Arun

00:38:57.220 I drank

00:39:02.100 beer in

00:39:02.860 college

00:39:03.300 I liked

00:39:03.980 it a lot

00:39:04.440 and still

00:39:04.980 do

00:39:05.340 reminds me

00:39:06.700 of a

00:39:06.900 supreme

00:39:07.140 court

00:39:07.340 justice

00:39:07.640 I like

00:39:08.040 but I've

00:39:08.820 never used

00:39:09.300 marijuana

00:39:09.760 and have

00:39:10.100 a gut

00:39:10.400 feeling

00:39:10.700 that it's

00:39:11.060 immoral

00:39:11.620 that said

00:39:12.400 I cannot

00:39:12.740 justify

00:39:13.180 this feeling

00:39:13.660 philosophically

00:39:14.440 are alcohol

00:39:15.300 and marijuana

00:39:16.240 fundamentally

00:39:16.920 different

00:39:17.300 moral entities

00:39:17.940 I'm curious

00:39:19.080 about your

00:39:19.500 opinion

00:39:19.780 at a secular

00:39:20.320 level

00:39:20.640 and in

00:39:20.960 terms of

00:39:21.260 your

00:39:21.360 catholic

00:39:21.700 faith

00:39:21.980 alcohol

00:39:23.780 and marijuana

00:39:24.480 are fundamentally

00:39:25.440 different

00:39:26.400 entities

00:39:26.980 at a physical

00:39:27.740 level

00:39:28.160 at the level

00:39:29.480 of drugs

00:39:30.220 they're

00:39:31.160 different

00:39:31.640 I have

00:39:32.240 smoked pot

00:39:32.880 I've smoked

00:39:33.460 pot before

00:39:34.360 in college

00:39:35.560 or whenever

00:39:36.440 and I don't

00:39:37.800 really like it

00:39:38.440 so I think I

00:39:39.340 actually have a

00:39:39.740 pretty good

00:39:40.200 take on this

00:39:41.400 because I've

00:39:43.640 definitely

00:39:44.060 tried it

00:39:45.100 I've used it

00:39:45.780 but I've

00:39:47.380 never

00:39:47.640 wanted it

00:39:48.880 I've never

00:39:49.440 had some

00:39:51.680 in my house

00:39:52.320 so that I

00:39:52.700 could have it

00:39:53.100 alone

00:39:53.420 if someone

00:39:53.960 has offered

00:39:54.460 it in college

00:39:55.000 or something

00:39:55.440 I've tried it

00:39:56.380 I don't

00:39:56.840 like it

00:39:57.240 one

00:39:57.580 because it

00:39:58.120 makes you 1.00

00:39:58.440 stupider 1.00

00:39:58.840 and two 1.00

00:39:59.920 because it

00:40:00.300 makes you

00:40:00.540 less funny

00:40:01.140 and it

00:40:01.740 makes you

00:40:02.020 really

00:40:02.260 inward

00:40:02.720 and really

00:40:03.120 introspective

00:40:04.000 and alcohol 0.51

00:40:05.920 does the

00:40:06.340 opposite

00:40:06.640 alcohol

00:40:07.060 relaxes you

00:40:07.800 a little

00:40:08.020 bit

00:40:08.280 and then

00:40:08.580 it's a

00:40:08.880 social

00:40:09.180 lubricant

00:40:09.740 and can

00:40:10.680 liven up

00:40:11.200 a party

00:40:11.600 and so

00:40:13.540 I don't

00:40:14.140 know

00:40:14.440 whether it's

00:40:15.100 immoral

00:40:15.560 to use

00:40:16.020 marijuana

00:40:16.520 I mean

00:40:16.800 it's

00:40:17.000 immoral

00:40:17.840 to become

00:40:18.880 belligerently

00:40:19.880 drunk

00:40:20.460 or intoxicated

00:40:21.280 and in so

00:40:22.080 much as

00:40:22.480 getting really

00:40:23.320 high does

00:40:23.820 that

00:40:24.100 then I

00:40:24.580 suppose

00:40:24.780 that's

00:40:25.040 immoral

00:40:25.360 but it's

00:40:26.700 really just

00:40:27.120 a question

00:40:27.540 of why

00:40:28.240 are you

00:40:28.520 using the

00:40:29.020 drug

00:40:29.360 you know

00:40:30.240 I know

00:40:30.720 plenty of

00:40:31.180 people who

00:40:31.840 use

00:40:33.120 who drink

00:40:34.340 alcohol

00:40:34.700 socially

00:40:35.160 virtually

00:40:35.540 everyone

00:40:35.920 does that

00:40:36.460 80%

00:40:38.180 of the

00:40:38.420 people I

00:40:38.820 know

00:40:39.100 who smoke

00:40:39.680 pot

00:40:40.020 are huge 0.92

00:40:40.720 potheads

00:40:41.200 and they

00:40:41.600 wake and

00:40:41.980 bake and

00:40:42.280 they just

00:40:42.680 use it

00:40:43.040 all the

00:40:43.300 time

00:40:43.540 so that

00:40:44.160 suggests

00:40:44.580 something's

00:40:44.940 wrong

00:40:45.120 with that

00:40:45.380 it's also

00:40:45.980 foreign

00:40:46.560 it's foreign 1.00

00:40:47.620 to our

00:40:48.060 culture

00:40:48.440 alcohol's

00:40:49.220 been around

00:40:49.560 forever

00:40:49.920 the first

00:40:50.340 miracle

00:40:50.680 that Christ

00:40:51.080 performs

00:40:51.500 is turning

00:40:52.680 water into

00:40:54.720 wine for

00:40:55.160 drunk people

00:40:55.660 at a wedding

00:40:56.060 and so

00:40:56.780 it's been

00:40:57.060 around for

00:40:57.480 a very long

00:40:57.940 time and

00:40:58.260 we know

00:40:58.800 how to

00:40:59.040 use it

00:40:59.460 in social

00:41:00.340 situations

00:41:01.020 pot is

00:41:01.780 now being

00:41:02.140 introduced

00:41:02.600 for the

00:41:02.940 first time

00:41:03.380 on a

00:41:03.640 broad level

00:41:04.500 to the

00:41:05.020 culture

00:41:05.340 and the

00:41:05.620 question is

00:41:06.280 if these

00:41:06.940 things can

00:41:07.320 be abused

00:41:07.780 why would

00:41:08.480 you introduce

00:41:09.100 a new

00:41:09.580 one

00:41:09.840 why would

00:41:10.340 you add

00:41:11.140 that to

00:41:11.460 your

00:41:11.620 repertoire

00:41:11.960 look at

00:41:12.700 the kind

00:41:12.960 of people

00:41:13.260 who drink

00:41:13.780 and the

00:41:14.380 kind of

00:41:14.640 situations

00:41:15.120 in which

00:41:15.500 people

00:41:15.780 drink

00:41:16.120 do you

00:41:16.500 like those

00:41:16.840 people

00:41:17.140 do you

00:41:17.860 like being

00:41:18.420 in those

00:41:18.660 situations

00:41:19.160 then maybe

00:41:19.940 it's okay

00:41:20.260 to have a

00:41:20.580 drink

00:41:20.780 look at

00:41:21.460 the situations

00:41:22.040 in which

00:41:22.380 people are

00:41:22.740 smoking pot

00:41:23.480 and the

00:41:23.720 kind of

00:41:23.940 people who

00:41:24.340 are obsessed

00:41:24.820 with pot

00:41:25.340 and legalization

00:41:26.280 if you want

00:41:26.880 to be like

00:41:27.260 them

00:41:27.540 if you want

00:41:28.140 to be in

00:41:28.360 those situations

00:41:29.060 go for it

00:41:30.100 but I

00:41:31.000 suspect you

00:41:31.440 probably don't

00:41:32.560 from

00:41:33.100 Adam

00:41:34.080 why do

00:41:35.040 democratic

00:41:35.440 voters

00:41:35.800 overlook

00:41:36.460 the corruption

00:41:37.160 of politicians

00:41:37.840 like Hillary 1.00

00:41:38.520 or Andrew

00:41:39.180 Gillum

00:41:39.600 thanks Adam

00:41:41.120 from Florida

00:41:41.720 oh because

00:41:42.360 they have no

00:41:42.900 standards

00:41:43.260 they have no

00:41:44.360 standards at all

00:41:44.920 they don't care

00:41:45.480 for them the

00:41:45.960 personal is the

00:41:46.640 political

00:41:47.020 they're in an

00:41:47.860 all-out

00:41:48.360 blood war

00:41:49.240 with

00:41:49.880 conservatives

00:41:50.480 they treat

00:41:51.420 politics as

00:41:52.100 religion

00:41:52.460 and so

00:41:53.040 they don't

00:41:54.060 care if

00:41:54.560 somebody is

00:41:55.020 totally corrupt 0.99

00:41:55.820 and hollowed 0.99

00:41:57.980 out on the

00:41:58.340 inside as long

00:41:59.060 as they can be

00:41:59.540 effective

00:41:59.960 they'll go for

00:42:00.520 them

00:42:00.780 they'll overlook

00:42:02.420 it because

00:42:03.140 they are all

00:42:04.320 about the

00:42:05.180 revolution

00:42:05.800 the perpetual

00:42:06.420 revolution

00:42:07.060 Stalin either

00:42:09.280 apocryphally

00:42:10.000 or actually

00:42:10.800 said that

00:42:11.760 it

00:42:12.040 you know

00:42:13.020 Stalin and

00:42:14.440 many other

00:42:15.000 people

00:42:15.300 you know

00:42:15.640 they say

00:42:16.280 one death

00:42:17.040 is a tragedy

00:42:17.640 ten deaths

00:42:18.120 is a tragedy

00:42:18.640 a million deaths

00:42:19.300 is a statistic

00:42:20.120 you've heard

00:42:20.780 communists for a

00:42:21.540 long time say

00:42:22.240 that you've got to

00:42:23.040 crack a few eggs

00:42:23.940 to make an omelette

00:42:24.820 they're perfectly fine

00:42:26.140 dealing in things

00:42:26.880 that are fundamentally

00:42:28.500 wrong and immoral

00:42:29.560 because they think

00:42:30.300 it's going to lead

00:42:30.860 them to paradise

00:42:31.960 that it's going to

00:42:32.800 lead them to utopia

00:42:33.780 and to progress

00:42:34.620 this is the lie

00:42:35.980 that the serpent

00:42:36.560 told Eve in the garden

00:42:37.740 oh just break

00:42:38.940 this one little rule

00:42:39.940 and then

00:42:40.440 then things will be

00:42:41.740 really really great

00:42:42.600 and it turns out

00:42:43.620 that when you break

00:42:44.300 those little rules

00:42:44.960 you breed a lot

00:42:45.780 of misery

00:42:46.200 for everybody

00:42:46.960 from Sarah

00:42:48.040 hey Michael

00:42:49.960 since you were

00:42:51.500 kicked off Twitter

00:42:52.040 I decided to

00:42:52.680 finally subscribe

00:42:53.460 my question is

00:42:54.260 when you have kids

00:42:55.060 do you plan to

00:42:55.580 take them with you

00:42:56.320 to vote

00:42:56.720 and how important

00:42:57.600 do you think this is

00:42:58.420 I have three kids

00:42:59.000 and they all go vote

00:42:59.560 with me and they love it

00:43:00.380 absolutely I will

00:43:01.600 I came in

00:43:03.420 with my mother

00:43:04.800 when I was nine

00:43:05.680 I was six years old

00:43:07.020 to force her

00:43:08.420 to vote for Bob Dole

00:43:09.320 she kind of liked

00:43:10.280 Bill Clinton

00:43:10.780 I loved Bob Dole

00:43:12.260 I was the only guy

00:43:12.980 in the country

00:43:13.480 who really wanted

00:43:14.440 Bob Dole to be president

00:43:15.400 probably including

00:43:16.220 Bob Dole

00:43:16.680 but I really

00:43:17.360 really liked him

00:43:18.080 and my mother

00:43:18.700 finally relented

00:43:19.500 we committed voter fraud

00:43:20.740 because I pulled the lever

00:43:21.680 on behalf of Bob Dole

00:43:23.280 and it was terrific

00:43:24.340 and it really got me

00:43:25.360 enthusiastic about voting

00:43:27.020 and I highly encourage

00:43:28.580 that for your kids

00:43:30.300 as well

00:43:30.680 because something tells me

00:43:32.400 if you subscribe

00:43:32.960 to this show

00:43:33.560 you're the kind of person

00:43:34.860 that we should have voting

00:43:35.680 and you're raising kids

00:43:37.280 that we should have voting too

00:43:38.300 so make sure that we do it

00:43:39.420 because Democrats

00:43:40.100 make a business

00:43:41.000 out of coercing people

00:43:43.420 into voting

00:43:43.900 and we should make sure

00:43:44.940 that we get our people

00:43:46.120 to vote too

00:43:46.620 final question

00:43:47.600 from Laurel

00:43:48.360 I think this is from Laurel

00:43:49.860 who paints all the pictures

00:43:50.820 on the wonderful artist

00:43:52.200 on Twitter

00:43:52.600 hello to my favorite Catholic

00:43:54.560 besides Tolkien

00:43:55.560 several times

00:43:56.880 on your show

00:43:57.800 you've talked about links

00:43:58.900 between witchcraft

00:43:59.600 and feminism 0.99

00:44:00.120 do you know

00:44:00.840 if the rise

00:44:01.420 of the interest

00:44:02.060 in witchcraft

00:44:04.240 could have anything

00:44:05.040 to do with Harry Potter

00:44:06.260 of course

00:44:07.300 we know it's a favorite

00:44:08.120 story of the left

00:44:08.880 but do you also think

00:44:09.960 it could have a link

00:44:10.540 with people

00:44:10.980 actually practicing witchcraft 0.52

00:44:13.100 Laurel

00:44:14.100 I don't think so

00:44:15.820 I think the rise

00:44:17.180 in the popularity

00:44:18.720 of Harry Potter

00:44:19.420 has to do with

00:44:20.220 the illiteracy

00:44:21.080 and shallowness

00:44:21.840 of our culture

00:44:22.380 and the fact

00:44:24.780 that our generation

00:44:26.840 in particular

00:44:27.360 is so illiterate

00:44:28.300 that the only myth 0.51

00:44:29.280 they can ever refer to

00:44:30.380 is Harry Potter

00:44:31.480 which is a very mediocre

00:44:32.940 series of children's stories

00:44:34.280 about going to boarding school

00:44:35.760 with a little witchcraft

00:44:37.020 sprinkled on top of it

00:44:38.360 to make it a little bit spicy

00:44:39.560 I don't think so

00:44:40.680 I think Harry

00:44:41.180 is a moral figure

00:44:42.100 I read them

00:44:43.280 or I read some of them

00:44:44.100 when I was a kid

00:44:44.740 and Dumbledore

00:44:46.020 is clearly a moral figure

00:44:47.200 so I really don't think so

00:44:48.500 this was a big debate

00:44:49.400 I think especially

00:44:50.060 among Catholics

00:44:50.920 at the time

00:44:51.700 as to whether this

00:44:52.380 should be banned

00:44:53.420 because it promotes

00:44:54.220 witchcraft

00:44:54.720 I don't think so

00:44:55.540 it's a fantasy

00:44:56.200 and I think the people

00:44:57.760 who now are

00:44:58.900 practicing witchcraft

00:45:00.200 and who boast about

00:45:00.980 practicing witchcraft

00:45:01.880 and try to put

00:45:02.420 hexes on Brett Kavanaugh

00:45:03.980 I don't think it's because

00:45:05.360 they read Harry Potter

00:45:06.240 as kids

00:45:06.820 I think it's because

00:45:07.740 they're into way darker stuff

00:45:09.160 and there are way darker things

00:45:10.720 in our culture

00:45:12.340 than a mediocre children's book

00:45:14.700 and the only threat

00:45:16.500 I think that mediocre children's book poses

00:45:18.280 is for many millennials

00:45:19.840 it was the last book

00:45:20.880 that they read

00:45:21.520 and it's the only book

00:45:23.020 that they ever referenced

00:45:24.300 but that isn't J.K. Rowling's fault

00:45:26.020 that's the fault

00:45:26.960 of our institutions

00:45:28.700 of higher learning

00:45:29.980 and families

00:45:31.040 which have not

00:45:31.900 inculcated a sense

00:45:33.140 of reading

00:45:34.040 and a desire

00:45:35.200 to read

00:45:35.900 and know our culture

00:45:36.780 into the generation

00:45:38.500 I'd like to blame

00:45:39.840 J.K. Rowling

00:45:41.920 for tweeting

00:45:42.720 crazy leftist things

00:45:44.060 but the decline in culture

00:45:46.160 and the rise of witchcraft

00:45:47.020 are not her fault

00:45:47.880 okay that's our show

00:45:48.980 I am going to be on the road

00:45:51.260 I'm going to be on the road

00:45:51.900 next week

00:45:52.280 giving some speeches

00:45:52.960 all around the Midwest

00:45:53.920 so stay tuned for that

00:45:54.980 that's going to be a lot of fun

00:45:56.080 but we're still going to have

00:45:57.320 a lot of shows

00:45:57.760 make sure you tune into

00:45:58.880 another kingdom

00:45:59.380 and get caught up

00:46:00.340 because it's doing

00:46:01.620 really really well

00:46:02.560 it's getting huge ratings

00:46:03.880 huge

00:46:04.520 huge

00:46:05.040 the biggest ratings folks

00:46:06.200 okay

00:46:06.500 people are really liking it

00:46:07.700 and it's certainly

00:46:08.300 going to be my last job

00:46:09.160 I ever have

00:46:09.740 as an actor in Hollywood

00:46:10.780 so be sure to check it out

00:46:11.980 have a good weekend

00:46:12.540 in the meantime
