00:06:48.160 and Mohammed bin Salman became the heir apparent, the crown prince of the kingdom.

00:06:53.180 Why has the mainstream media jumped to elevate this guy?

00:07:30.560 So why is the mainstream media defending him so much?

00:07:33.660 In part, this is just a side war in defending Barack Obama and attacking Donald Trump.

00:07:42.660 Donald Trump is protecting our alliance with Saudi Arabia as a power that is contrary to Iran.

00:07:53.400 Donald Trump is standing by the Saudis as a stave against Iranian hegemony in the region.

00:08:00.540 So that's a little bit of what's going on with the mainstream media.

00:08:07.960 Her name is Maria Ressler, who is a journalist in the Philippines covering the Duterte regime.

00:08:22.640 And the Capitol newspaper, you'll remember, they had those five staffers gunned down in June.

00:08:33.740 Time magazine is covering it to attack Donald Trump.

00:08:37.240 Quote, in Annapolis, Maryland, staff of the Capitol, a newspaper published by Capital Gazette Communications,

00:08:42.940 which traces its history of telling readers about the events in Maryland to before the American Revolution,

00:08:48.000 press on without the five colleagues gunned down in their newsroom on June 28th.

00:08:53.060 Still intact, indeed strengthened after the mass shooting,

00:08:56.760 are the bonds of trust and community that for national news outlets have been eroded on strikingly partisan lines,

00:09:11.420 What Time magazine is doing here is accusing Republicans of being responsible for the shooting in Maryland,
