00:00:35.700 Good Ranchers, American meat delivered.

00:00:37.680 The four horsewomen of our political apocalypse, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley, have given themselves a new nickname.

00:00:48.180 We will examine our national suicide squad and the misguided conservatives who are defending them.

00:00:53.580 Then, more men beat women at women's sports. Go figure. 0.98

00:00:57.640 Joe Biden's campaign keeps going nowhere.

00:01:00.100 And Al Green, the congressman, not the singer, proposes a convenient strategy to redeem America for her original sin.

00:01:07.360 All that and more. I'm Michael Knowles, and this is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:01:10.000 The squad is here. We will examine that suicide squad, that national suicide squad.

00:01:24.280 But first, today's show is brought to you by our friends at Wesley Financial Group, the company that is helping a lot of people out there who believed those timeshare lies.

00:01:34.600 I actually have relatives who have done this.

00:01:36.240 If you bought a timeshare, you know the pitch.

00:01:39.520 Oh, it's a great investment.

00:01:40.960 It's a legacy for the kids.

00:01:42.860 You can stay whenever you want, wherever you want, except the only problem with that is it's a total pack of lies.

00:01:51.040 The ugly truth is with a timeshare.

00:01:53.640 You can never tell how much it's really going to cost or when it's going to end.

00:01:57.640 Many owners trying to sell their timeshares online find out the hard way.

00:02:01.800 It's not an investment when they can't get a dollar for it.

00:02:05.080 And with those rising annual maintenance and assessment fees, buying a timeshare is like giving the timeshare company a blank check for life.

00:02:12.240 I've had relatives who have gotten sucked in by these things, and some of them have had a lot of trouble getting out.

00:02:17.580 If you're stuck in a timeshare nightmare, go to icanceltimeshare.com.

00:02:23.360 Tell them that I sent you.

00:02:24.880 Wesley Financial Guarantees, they will legally get you out of your timeshare contract permanently or you pay nothing.

00:02:30.780 You've got nothing to lose.

00:02:31.820 You've got a whole lot to gain.

00:02:33.060 Get your free information telling you all about how it works.

00:02:37.040 Go to icanceltimeshare.com.

00:02:40.200 Couldn't be easier than that.

00:02:42.260 icanceltimeshare.com.

00:02:43.460 Check it out.

00:02:44.000 Stop pouring money down the drain to those timeshare scammers.

00:02:49.000 Who is the squad?

00:02:51.520 Do you know who the squad is?

00:02:52.640 Ayanna Pressley, who is one member of the squad, has given them that definition.

00:02:56.960 It's AOC, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and Ayanna Pressley.

00:03:01.000 Here is Pressley giving them the nickname at a press conference yesterday.

00:03:04.900 Our squad is big.

00:03:07.440 Our squad includes any person committed to building a more equitable and just world.

00:03:13.900 That's the squad.

00:03:14.980 Squad can be anybody, but really it's just those four people.

00:03:17.500 Guy Benson and my pal John Hershauer over at National Review gave Ayanna Pressley, that woman, the nickname Ringo. 0.52

00:03:26.480 She's the Ringo of the squad.

00:03:28.500 It occurred to me that the whole squad really does have a lot of parallels with the Beatles because you've got AOC, who's obviously Paul.

00:03:36.100 She's the marketable one.

00:03:37.200 She's the pop one.

00:03:38.360 You've got Ilhan Omar.

00:03:40.220 She's John.

00:03:41.320 She's the radical.

00:03:42.400 She's got a pretty weird marital history. 0.99

00:03:44.200 Then you've got Rashida Tlaib.

00:03:46.180 She's the spiritual one.

00:03:47.340 She's George.

00:03:48.540 You know, she just meditates on calming feelings.

00:03:52.100 In her case about the Holocaust, obviously in George Harrison's case, it was about sort of nicer things than that. 0.97

00:03:57.960 And then you've got Ayanna Pressley, who is Ringo without the likability. 1.00

00:04:02.380 This is our squad.

00:04:05.060 And President Trump has put all the pressure back on the squad.

00:04:08.600 He's put all the pressure back on Democrats to defend the squad.

00:04:11.460 Late night talk show hosts are loving the squad.

00:04:15.780 Here is Stephen Colbert defending them against that mean old Donald Trump.

00:04:20.760 Trump, of course, Trump does not like the squad.

00:04:23.900 He is the leader of the rival gang of the Klan.

00:04:28.680 Wow.

00:04:29.960 Wow, that is so brave.

00:04:32.540 A late night comedian calling President Trump a racist.

00:04:36.780 I would say it's not just brave.

00:04:38.720 It's really creative.

00:04:39.740 Obviously, I've never heard it before.

00:04:42.100 It's really funny.

00:04:43.140 I can't stop laughing.

00:04:45.020 I've doubled over, as you can see.

00:04:46.900 But more than anything, I guess, it's just so courageous to say that in our culture.

00:04:53.400 And it's not just late night comedians who are doing even random left wing talking heads are summoning the courage somehow to go on leftist news channels, mainstream television, and call Donald Trump a racist.

00:05:06.740 If you're supporting Trump, you are a racist at this point.

00:05:10.220 I'm not afraid to say it, and no one should be. 0.93

00:05:12.260 I just, I was so afraid to say it because no one's saying that out there.

00:05:17.740 Nobody in the mainstream media or the newspapers or television or Hollywood or the entire left half of American politics or basically anyone in the culture at any time has actually had the courage to say Donald Trump is a racist except for that guy.

00:05:33.240 That random talking head on MSNBC and Stephen Colbert.

00:05:38.460 They have just summoned such, such courage.

00:05:40.800 On the question of racism, even on the question of radicalism more generally, it might be helpful to compare President Trump to the squad because here's how it seems to me.

00:05:53.260 It seems to me that for the last three years, the left has accused Donald Trump of supporting racists and neo-Nazis and white nationalists and use whatever term you want. 0.94

00:06:03.200 And so they've said, hey, Donald Trump, you need to condemn white nationalists and bigots. 0.88

00:06:09.160 And then Donald Trump has basically said, OK, I totally condemn bigots.

00:06:14.180 Here he is.

00:06:15.240 Racism is evil. 1.00

00:06:16.360 And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans. 1.00

00:06:32.740 And I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists because they should be condemned totally. 0.99

00:06:39.060 We are a nation founded on the truth that all of us are created equal.

00:06:44.720 We are equal in the eyes of our creator.

00:06:48.700 We are equal under the law and we are equal under our constitution.

00:06:55.520 Those who spread violence in the name of bigotry strike at the very core of America.

00:07:02.380 How many times do I have to reject?

00:07:04.320 I've rejected David Duke, rejected David Duke.

00:07:07.700 I've rejected the KKK, the Ku Klux Klan.

00:07:11.940 From the time I'm five years old, I rejected them.

00:07:15.200 I put it on Twitter last week.

00:07:17.280 Now, I have been asked this question so many times.

00:07:19.800 I have rejected it so many times.

00:07:22.480 It seems pretty clear he's rejected the racists and the bigots and the white nationalists and the neo-Nazis.

00:07:28.240 It seems pretty clear, to me at least, maybe to you.

00:07:31.500 The only people that it's not clear to are the people who are willfully ignoring Trump's repeated for years and years and years condemnation of racial bigots.

00:07:41.580 They just don't want it to be the case that President Trump has condemned racial bigots because then that gets in the way of their narrative.

00:07:48.620 But let's apply this same test to the left.

00:07:52.420 What happens when the right asks the left to condemn their kooks and their bigots?

00:07:58.700 President Trump did it forcefully.

00:08:00.480 He's done it totally.

00:08:01.620 He's done it repeatedly.

00:08:02.560 Now, watch what happens when the right asks the squad to condemn kooks, bigots, and even terrorists.

00:08:09.980 Hi. Really simple question.

00:08:13.340 Will you condemn Antifa for attacking an ICE facility?

00:08:17.780 It's very simple.

00:08:19.880 Will you tell Americans not to attack violently ICE facilities?

00:08:25.760 Just say no.

00:08:28.280 It would be a very simple thing to say, and it would go a long way to tell Americans that you're not sympathetic to Antifa.

00:08:36.240 Are you sympathetic to Antifa?

00:08:38.520 Excuse me, sir.

00:08:39.980 Just say no.

00:08:41.420 He's giving her the answer.

00:08:42.760 Just say no.

00:08:43.520 That's Ayanna Pressley, the Ringo of the squad, walking down the halls of Congress. 1.00

00:08:48.360 And this is not a hypothetical question.

00:08:50.240 It's not, do you condemn some hypothetical acts of left-wing terrorism?

00:08:55.060 Just three days ago, there was a left-wing terrorist, Antifa guy, shows up with a rifle and explosives to a border protection facility, an ICE facility.

00:09:06.160 Fortunately, he was taken out before he could commit the terrorist attack.

00:09:10.480 But we, if not for law enforcement, there would have been that terrorist attack.

00:09:14.240 And this right-wing journalist says, hey, just double-checking because you've said some pretty weird stuff.

00:09:19.920 Do you, squad, do you, Ayanna Pressley, condemn left-wing terrorism?

00:09:24.760 Not an acknowledgment that that guy asked the question.

00:09:28.780 She just keeps looking ahead.

00:09:30.040 She can't give the answer.

00:09:31.400 Imagine if the tables were turned.

00:09:32.880 Imagine if a left-wing journalist were asking that of President Trump.

00:09:36.000 Let's say that there were a right-wing terrorist attack. 0.98

00:09:40.040 Let's say it weren't even right-wing, but it were some white racist guy. 0.93

00:09:42.920 And they lump him in with the right-wing.

00:09:45.540 And they say, President Trump, do you condemn this terrorist attack?

00:09:49.360 And he just walked down the hallway.

00:09:51.540 He just walked right past them in the Rose Guard, didn't say anything.

00:09:54.660 Right, one foot away from them, just looked straight ahead.

00:09:57.420 And then his handlers say, oh, no, we're done here.

00:09:59.520 He's not going to answer that question.

00:10:01.300 Imagine the coverage that that would be getting in the mainstream media.

00:10:04.380 Imagine what the New York Times would say.

00:10:06.060 Imagine what all the left-wing members of Congress would say.

00:10:10.200 You have an exact parallel here.

00:10:12.600 An actual leftist terrorist attack from Antifa.

00:10:16.220 The guy says, hey, just really quick, you condemn this, right?

00:10:19.180 She can't say it.

00:10:20.440 But you know what?

00:10:22.040 I bet what the left will say here is that wasn't a real press conference.

00:10:25.580 That was guerrilla journalism.

00:10:27.240 It was some right-wing provocateur walking down the hallway with her.

00:10:30.760 She has no accountability.

00:10:32.580 She has no responsibility to answer his questions.

00:10:36.060 He's got to save those questions for a real press conference.

00:10:38.480 Okay, so yesterday, the squad holds this press conference.

00:10:43.100 AOC, Tlaib, Omar, and Presley.

00:10:46.140 They're standing there at this press conference.

00:10:48.480 And one of the credentialed journalists at the press conference that the squad has called

00:10:53.220 asks Ilhan Omar to clarify her comments about al-Qaeda.

00:10:57.900 Because previously, we'd seen her giggling about al-Qaeda.

00:11:00.120 So they just wanted to make sure, hey, Ilhan Omar.

00:11:02.220 Look, people are accusing you.

00:11:04.180 People like that awful Donald Trump are accusing you of having sympathies with al-Qaeda.

00:11:09.080 But you, you condemn al-Qaeda, right?

00:11:11.780 Right?

00:11:12.300 Don't you, Ilhan Omar?

00:11:13.840 Can you respond to some of the president's specific claims, most notably that you're a communist

00:11:19.480 and that you're pro-al-Qaeda?

00:11:21.240 You might have noticed how when he said, go back to where you came from, there was an uproar

00:11:28.140 through the, through all of our communities.

00:11:34.220 Because every single person who's brown and black at some point in their life in this country

00:11:40.320 heard that.

00:11:42.580 Now, when he made the comment, I know that every single Muslim who has lived in this country

00:11:52.880 and across the world has heard that comment.

00:11:56.780 And so I will not dignify it with an answer.

00:12:00.700 What?

00:12:02.880 Hey, Ilhan Omar, do you condemn al-Qaeda?

00:12:06.520 Uh, Hamana, Hamana, Hamana.

00:12:08.400 I, uh, I, um, uh, I won't, uh, hmm, well, I won't, I won't dignify it with a response.

00:12:14.640 Yeah, that's the ticket.

00:12:16.660 Compare that.

00:12:17.320 Hey, President Trump, do you condemn white nationalists?

00:12:20.080 Yep, totally condemn them.

00:12:21.940 Hey, Ilhan Omar, do you condemn al-Qaeda, which you've giggled about before?

00:12:26.360 Or, uh, uh, I don't want to dignify that with a response.

00:12:34.520 That's pretty weird.

00:12:35.400 That's a weird answer.

00:12:36.220 It's not like Ilhan Omar hasn't talked about al-Qaeda before.

00:12:39.380 She has.

00:12:40.040 It's just when she has, she's giggled about it.

00:12:41.720 We'll get to that in a second.

00:12:42.740 We'll get to the misguided conservatives who are defending them.

00:12:44.840 But first, if you are like me, and I know you are, and in many important ways, I am on

00:12:50.040 the internet all the time, and so are you.

00:12:51.580 That means that our precious, precious, sweet data are out there for big tech companies and

00:12:58.080 hackers to suck up. 0.69

00:12:59.440 This is why I recommend getting the software that I trust to protect my online activity, 0.94

00:13:04.720 ExpressVPN.

00:13:05.920 Their apps use powerful encryption to secure your data.

00:13:09.120 I know what you think.

00:13:09.800 You think, I don't need that.

00:13:11.080 Oh, who cares?

00:13:11.620 Nobody wants my data.

00:13:13.160 Listen, Buster, I know that you look at some pretty weird stuff on the internet.

00:13:17.180 You know what I'm talking about?

00:13:17.980 Those websites, you go into the incognito window to look up.

00:13:20.740 You know what I'm talking about?

00:13:21.500 I'm talking about dailywire.com.

00:13:23.040 I'm talking about the Michael Knowles show.

00:13:24.620 Weird stuff.

00:13:25.560 These days, that could probably get you fired from your job.

00:13:28.260 It could probably get you kicked out of polite society.

00:13:56.200 You say, I don't really care about my data.

00:13:57.880 I'm too lazy.

00:13:58.640 I'm too cheap.

00:13:59.460 Less than seven bucks a month.

00:14:01.460 The catastrophe of identity theft, the catastrophe of having your data leaked,

00:14:06.300 guys, it's not worth it.

00:14:42.300 So it's not like Ilhan Omar hasn't talked about Al-Qaeda before.

00:14:46.620 Now she's saying she won't dignify it with a response.

00:14:49.920 She's talked about Al-Qaeda at length on camera.

00:14:52.380 The difference is when she's talked about it on camera, when she's comfortable talking

00:14:55.340 about Al-Qaeda, she's not condemning Al-Qaeda.

00:14:57.720 She's giggling about it.

00:14:58.740 And so it was, the thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor

00:15:05.880 said Al-Qaeda, he sort of like, his shoulders went up and, you know.

00:15:10.260 Yeah, he's in command here.

00:15:11.400 Al-Qaeda, you know, hospital.

00:15:12.820 He's an expert.

00:15:14.600 You don't say America with an intensity.

00:15:17.200 You don't say England with an intensity.

00:15:19.580 You know, you don't say the army with an intensity.

00:15:24.760 Kaida.

00:15:25.100 But you say these names because you want that word to carry weight.

00:15:31.120 Right.

00:15:33.060 So she's willing to talk about Al-Qaeda at length so long as she can giggle about it and so

00:15:38.360 long as she can draw a moral equivalence between Al-Qaeda and the United States and the U.S.

00:15:43.200 Army and England.

00:15:46.000 Then she can talk about Al-Qaeda and she's all smiles.

00:15:49.240 But when someone watches that and says, gosh, are you seriously drawing a moral equivalence between

00:15:55.480 Al-Qaeda and the United States? 0.74

00:15:57.280 Are you giggling about it?

00:15:59.440 Do you have some kind of sympathy for Al-Qaeda?

00:16:02.580 Then she says, I won't dignify that with a response.

00:16:06.220 These are terrible people.

00:16:08.640 The squad. 1.00

00:16:09.840 They are terrible, terrible people. 1.00

00:16:12.300 They champion terrorists. 1.00

00:16:13.940 They literally champion terrorists.

00:16:16.480 Ilhan Omar.

00:16:18.220 Rashida Tlaib.

00:16:19.200 I mean, even Iona Pressy won't even answer the question about Antifa walking down the street. 1.00

00:16:27.300 These are members of Congress who have asked for leniency for terrorists who have tried to go and

00:16:33.120 join ISIS. 0.68

00:16:34.000 These are bad people. 0.99

00:16:35.940 They champion vile ideologies. 0.72

00:16:37.620 They openly revile our country.

00:16:39.560 They compare the country to Nazi Germany. 0.82

00:16:43.240 These are terrible people.

00:16:44.740 And this brings me to my message for conservatives.

00:16:47.460 If you are defending the squad, you are the problem.

00:16:53.380 There is a real sense out there that some conservatives give greater benefit of the doubt,

00:16:59.600 greater grace to the squad than to President Trump.

00:17:02.780 There is a real sense out there that in an effort to seem broad-minded and liberal and

00:17:08.980 understanding and modern, that some conservatives give greater deference to people who openly

00:17:15.260 despise this country than to people who love this country.

00:17:19.980 Specifically on the immigration question, there is a sense out there that some conservatives

00:17:24.080 give greater deference, give greater grace to people who we have allowed to come into this

00:17:30.320 country than to native-born Americans.

00:17:33.660 And this brings me to a piece that was in National Review yesterday.

00:17:37.120 Just yesterday, David French summed up this last point in the National Review.

00:17:43.360 And I should point out, anytime you bring up David in the era of the conservative debates

00:17:49.140 and David Frenchism, you have to point out whether you like David or don't like David.

00:17:52.760 And I do.

00:17:53.620 I like the guy, you know, in some quarters these days, French is a bad word.

00:17:57.980 I guess actually French is always a bad word, but David French specifically has become a

00:18:02.720 bad term.

00:18:03.580 And I like David French.

00:18:05.340 I respect what he's done in his career.

00:18:07.780 I respect much of what he has to say.

00:18:11.180 But he is dead wrong here.

00:18:14.000 Here is what he said.

00:18:14.840 It was in a piece called Native-Born Ingrates.

00:18:18.800 Gives you a sense of where this is going.

00:18:20.460 David lays out the case for why we should basically prefer immigrants to native-born Americans, 0.64

00:18:27.800 for why immigrants basically are better than native-born Americans.

00:18:32.100 Now, I think they've actually changed the title on this piece.

00:18:34.740 I don't know if that was just some editorial decision to elucidate what it was saying or

00:18:39.180 because there was blowback.

00:18:40.380 I think the new headline is Trump's tweets were malicious and Republican silence is deafening,

00:18:47.060 regardless of what the title is at the moment.

00:18:49.440 He opens the piece by calling President Trump a racist for his 2016 comments about that judge

00:18:56.920 of Mexican descent.

00:18:58.860 He says, the fact that Trump said he couldn't get a fair shake from this judge because he 1.00

00:19:03.180 was of Mexican descent is evidence that Trump is a vile racist. 0.92

00:19:07.760 David French never points out here that the judge that President Trump was talking about 0.98

00:19:11.840 is a member of a racist organization called the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association.

00:19:17.320 La Raza, meaning the race, coming from a 1920s Mexican essay called La Raza Cosmica,

00:19:24.400 which says that Hispanics are racially superior to every other race.

00:19:28.340 It doesn't mention that.

00:19:29.580 When you have that context, I think it at least gives President Trump a little bit of cover here.

00:19:36.060 He's not saying all Mexicans are evil, no Mexican could give me a fair shake, but that judge in

00:19:41.500 particular, not just by virtue of his heritage, of course, but by virtue of his association in a

00:19:46.280 racist organization, maybe won't give him a fair shake on the question of illegal immigration.

00:19:51.400 Doesn't, doesn't mention that.

00:19:53.420 Then David attacks President Trump for dodging the draft.

00:19:57.120 This is what he writes, quote, there is something especially gross about a man who was too timid

00:20:02.940 even to face the draft during his own generation's war, now presuming to define how Americans seek

00:20:08.840 to reform their government.

00:20:10.300 He is the last person to be the arbiter of patriotism or national loyalty.

00:20:15.820 Now, my problem with this line is not that David's hitting French for, or that David is hitting

00:20:22.040 Trump for dodging the draft.

00:20:23.980 Fair enough hit if you want to do it.

00:20:25.280 A lot of people in Trump's generation dodged the draft, but perfectly fair attack to go

00:20:29.820 after him for that.

00:20:32.080 My issue is that he describes the squad as Americans seeking to reform their own government.

00:20:39.880 Is that, that's really how we're going to define these people?

00:20:43.380 Not terrorist apologists, not bitter anti-Americans who equate their country with Nazi Germany.

00:20:49.860 That's not the defining feature.

00:20:51.360 It's just Americans who seek to reform their government.

00:20:53.860 There's no difference between Ilhan Omar and, say, Dan Crenshaw.

00:20:59.140 There's no difference between Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, AOC, and your conservative activist in the street.

00:21:08.420 The tax reform guys, there's no difference.

00:21:10.680 I think there is a difference.

00:21:11.600 And I think it's the particular wickedness of the ideologies and, and the criminals that are, are being defended by the squad that, that makes that distinction.

00:21:22.180 Then David gets to the main thrust of his argument, quote,

00:21:25.880 I believe Ilhan Omar is a toxic presence in American politics.

00:21:31.620 Okay, so far we agree.

00:21:33.400 Her critiques are deeply misguided, but she should temper her critiques because they're wrong, not because she's an immigrant.

00:21:41.560 The blessings of liberty accrue to all Americans, including immigrants.

00:21:45.360 And while all Americans should be deeply grateful for their freedoms and for American opportunity,

00:21:50.680 it's a simple fact that immigrant citizens have actually done something to earn their status.

00:21:56.620 They've often migrated here at great personal cost, learned a new language, built a life in a new land,

00:22:02.740 passed a test most Americans can't pass, and then swore an oath that most Americans have never sworn.

00:22:07.920 By contrast, what must natural-born citizens do to earn their citizenship?

00:22:13.820 Survive labor and delivery.

00:22:15.980 That's it.

00:22:16.900 If anything, natural-born citizens should exercise the most gratitude.

00:22:22.380 What did we do to earn our liberty?

00:22:27.460 This is profoundly wrong, but it does express a certain view that has become popular on the right.

00:22:36.240 This view, the immigrants, they're better than us. 1.00

00:22:37.740 We're terrible. 0.99

00:22:38.720 We're the worst people on earth. 0.99

00:22:40.320 We Americans, we've caused all the problems in the world. 0.95

00:22:42.300 Everyone else is better than us.

00:22:43.660 That's not exactly what David's saying, but that's the sense, I think, that's being conveyed.

00:22:48.280 The point he's making is that immigrants don't really owe a special debt of gratitude to this country.

00:22:53.220 If anything, the native-born Americans do.

00:22:55.600 Completely wrong.

00:22:56.680 Immigrants owe a special debt of gratitude.

00:23:00.120 This was true when my immigrant ancestors came here, and it is true today. 1.00

00:23:04.520 Charlie Cook, actually, at National Review, made this very point in a response column.

00:23:10.960 Immigrants do owe a very special debt of gratitude.

00:23:14.940 America is a country.

00:23:16.800 America is a country that is founded in part on ideas, but America is not just an idea.

00:23:24.160 It's not just an abstraction floating somewhere in the atmosphere, pervading the entire world.

00:23:29.620 It's a country.

00:23:30.840 America has laws.

00:23:32.040 America has traditions, and America has citizens, who are more entitled to America than anyone else.

00:23:39.200 Not everybody is entitled to America.

00:23:41.220 Her citizens are.

00:23:42.940 Some people in the world are Americans.

00:23:45.400 Some people are not.

00:23:48.020 Not everyone is entitled to America.

00:23:50.360 America, we have the most generous immigration system in the world.

00:23:56.140 Most people have no idea how generous it is.

00:23:58.180 We take in well over a million people a year, legally, through immigration.

00:24:03.620 That's in addition to, what, another million people we take illegally?

00:24:06.580 We've got 3,000 people per day pouring into this country.

00:24:10.620 There's no second place.

00:24:12.500 We take in so many people per year.

00:24:14.320 That number has skyrocketed, by the way, since the 1960s, when Democrats, following the leadership of Ted Kennedy, changed our immigration laws.

00:24:21.720 We now have the highest foreign-born percentage of the population that we've had since the 1890s.

00:24:27.720 Pretty generous.

00:24:29.440 Maybe a thank you to native-born Americans is in order.

00:24:33.000 We don't need to take in all of those immigrants. 1.00

00:24:35.380 It's our country.

00:24:36.140 We can do whatever we want with it.

00:24:37.780 Every other country gets to decide who comes in.

00:24:40.640 And guess what?

00:24:41.080 All those other countries take in barely any immigrants.

00:24:44.320 Germany is number two, and they take in a fraction of what we take in.

00:24:48.440 Virtually every other country just doesn't take that many people.

00:24:51.740 We choose to take those people in.

00:24:53.660 They should be exceedingly grateful.

00:24:55.140 I expect a thank you note.

00:24:57.000 Part of David's mistake is that he abstracts America out of existence.

00:25:01.360 When my, I guess it would be my great-grandfather, came here from Italy,

00:25:06.060 he kissed the ground that everyone was walking on.

00:25:10.740 He loved this country.

00:25:12.180 My Italian ancestors, you know, half of my family came here basically on the Mayflower,

00:25:16.700 and then the other half came on a sardine boat somewhere in the 19-teens and 1920s.

00:25:21.860 And I've never met more patriotic people than my Italian ancestors.

00:25:26.740 They wore American flag pins.

00:25:28.300 They waved the American flag.

00:25:29.560 They would never let it touch the ground.

00:25:30.980 They made sure to learn English.

00:25:32.200 They did their damnedest to learn English.

00:25:33.620 America's not just some abstraction.

00:25:42.580 It's a real place.

00:25:44.060 And it requires real acts of charity to allow immigrants to come in. 1.00

00:25:47.500 Where David goes wrong is in the ideology of it all.

00:25:51.580 Just focusing so much on ideology.

00:25:53.300 He writes,

00:25:53.520 As though America were just this one word, liberty.

00:26:02.880 This totally abstract concept that means many things to many different people.

00:26:08.340 Many things around the world.

00:26:09.780 It means one thing in an American context.

00:26:11.780 It means a very different thing, let's say, in a French context.

00:26:14.780 Pun intended, but I mean the country, France.

00:26:17.200 It means another thing in a Japanese context.

00:26:19.960 America is more than just some ideological intuition or definition of liberty.

00:26:26.200 It's our institutions.

00:26:27.460 It's our history.

00:26:28.600 It's our material blessings.

00:26:29.960 We're the most materially prosperous country in the history of the world.

00:26:33.180 It's our substantial religious zeal.

00:26:36.180 Even now, as religion is fading away from America, 1.00

00:26:39.360 we're still more religious than the rest of the Western world by a long shot.

00:26:42.760 It's our common bonds to each other.

00:26:45.140 It's our symbols.

00:26:46.140 It's the American flag.

00:26:47.140 Most of all, it's our people.

00:26:51.400 The country is our people.

00:26:53.500 More than geography.

00:26:54.700 More than buildings.

00:26:55.540 More than even our legal documents.

00:26:57.940 The country is our people.

00:27:00.680 We'll explain what this means for our politics, for the Suicide Squad.

00:27:03.960 Then we'll get to a little gender ideology. 1.00

00:27:06.500 Men keep beating women in women's sports. 1.00

00:27:08.440 We'll get to Joe Biden.

00:27:09.800 We'll get to so much more, but you've got to go to dailywire.com.

00:27:13.080 By the way, be sure to tune in tomorrow, July 17th at 4 p.m. Pacific, 7 p.m. Eastern,

00:27:18.320 for our latest episode of Daily Wire Backstage.

00:27:21.640 Join me, Ben Shapiro, Andrew Klavan, and the Daily Wire God King, Jeremy Boring,

00:27:26.120 as we drink delicious whiskey, smoke lovely stogies,

00:27:29.760 and chop up the latest insanity in pop culture and politics.

00:27:34.140 Insights and laughs will abound.

00:27:36.220 That is tomorrow, 4 p.m. Pacific, 7 p.m. Eastern,

00:27:38.860 for the best roundtable talk in politics.

00:27:42.020 Go to dailywire.com.

00:27:43.160 We've got a lot more coming up.

00:27:44.180 We'll be right back.

00:27:54.740 The country is more than geography.

00:27:56.820 It's more than buildings.

00:27:57.760 It's more even than legal documents.

00:27:59.560 It's the people.

00:28:01.260 And here's how I can prove that.

00:28:02.360 Because you can have the geography, you can have the buildings even,

00:28:07.500 and you can have the legal documents.

00:28:09.320 And if you have no people, you have no country.

00:28:13.300 Actually, there are plenty of ancient civilizations where we still have most of their buildings,

00:28:17.160 we have their geography, obviously, and we have their legal documents.

00:28:20.500 But there's no people, and so the civilization is gone.

00:28:23.140 They no longer exist.

00:28:24.360 Here's another example.

00:28:25.240 We just celebrated the 4th of July.

00:28:26.980 How did you celebrate the 4th of July?

00:28:28.460 Did you go into your innermost room and sit with the lights off and close your eyes

00:28:33.160 and just meditate on some totally abstracted concept of liberty?

00:28:37.640 That's how you celebrated, right?

00:28:38.760 No, it doesn't sound like a fun 4th of July.

00:28:40.560 Probably you went to the fireworks and you ate hot dogs and hamburgers,

00:28:43.540 and you watched baseball, America's national pastime,

00:28:46.320 and you had a beer, you drank some American beer,

00:28:48.880 and you watched tanks, actual real tanks,

00:28:52.600 parade down our actual real national mall in our actual real national capital,

00:28:57.760 which exists somewhere.

00:28:59.100 We're a real country.

00:29:00.760 We're very welcoming to people from other countries.

00:29:03.240 That is an act of charity.

00:29:04.860 And the people who come here, Ilhan Omar, chief among them,

00:29:07.980 should respond to that charity with gratitude.

00:29:11.800 She should express that gratitude through a love of country,

00:29:15.640 not denigrating the country, not talking about how awful the country is,

00:29:19.080 not laughing and giggling about Al-Qaeda,

00:29:21.360 not comparing the United States to terrorist organizations,

00:29:24.660 not like AOC, comparing the United States to Nazi Germany.

00:29:28.700 They should love the country.

00:29:29.740 And we shouldn't welcome people here who don't love the country.

00:29:33.540 There's nothing un-American about saying that.

00:29:35.600 That's my rant.

00:29:36.580 It's over on that topic.

00:29:38.040 I've had enough of the squad.

00:29:39.520 Right now, we should talk about things that really matter,

00:29:42.720 not the integrity of our country or our political institutions,

00:29:45.980 the more important topics like women's sports. 0.95

00:29:48.520 There's a story out of New Zealand.

00:29:50.900 A gender-confused man there took home multiple gold medals

00:29:54.780 in women's weightlifting at the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa.

00:30:00.320 This is Laurel Hubbard, formerly Gavin Hubbard,

00:30:03.680 who won two gold medals and a silver.

00:30:06.480 Three heavyweight categories.

00:30:08.140 This guy somehow managed to win them all.

00:30:10.740 I wonder why.

00:30:12.480 Because he's a man.

00:30:13.660 Obviously, this is not the first time we've heard about this.

00:30:15.660 Madeline Kearns, actually another National Review writer,

00:30:18.840 was writing in the Wall Street Journal over the weekend

00:30:20.980 and had a piece out on gender-confused men

00:30:23.760 beating out female high school athletes at track meets.

00:30:27.700 Very good piece.

00:30:28.320 I recommend checking it out.

00:30:30.120 So I think I tweeted this out.

00:30:31.920 And then this weirdo named Jack Turbin,

00:30:34.960 who's a freelance writer for the New York Times,

00:30:37.480 and he's a child psychiatry resident from Harvard Medical School,

00:30:41.460 tells you everything you need to know about Harvard Medical School,

00:30:43.500 called Maddie's piece on transgender athletes bigoted.

00:30:50.280 That's what the left is saying now.

00:30:52.040 The left is now saying that if you don't let men beat women in sports,

00:30:57.280 you're a bigot. 0.89

00:30:59.140 And there's a real irony here in the whole gender ideology movement 0.55

00:31:02.680 is you have a woman writing in the Wall Street Journal

00:31:06.080 about how we should preserve women's sports,

00:31:08.100 and then you have a man coming in and saying that it's bigoted

00:31:12.540 to preserve women's sports,

00:31:15.460 that men should be allowed to beat women. 0.99

00:31:17.440 That's what it comes down to.

00:31:19.060 And this is what the left does.

00:31:20.280 The left goes and says that if you defend women's locker rooms, 0.99

00:31:25.420 women's bathrooms, women's sports, 0.99

00:31:27.620 any separate place for women to have on their own,

00:31:31.600 all their own, to compete and do whatever they want,

00:31:33.680 if you defend that, you're a bigot.

00:31:34.960 And the right makes a mistake because we don't refer to the people who say that

00:31:40.020 as misogynists, which is what they are.

00:31:42.520 He sent out the tweet,

00:31:43.760 bigoted writer in the Wall Street Journal defends women's sports.

00:31:46.820 We should say misogynist writer in the New York Times opposes women's sports. 1.00

00:31:53.060 I pointed out to this guy how stupid his opinion was, 1.00

00:31:56.560 and he had no argument. 1.00

00:31:58.400 So what he did is he accused me of being obsessed with women's sports.

00:32:02.000 I can assure you, I have never watched a single women's sporting event

00:32:06.060 from start to finish in my entire life.

00:32:08.360 I don't watch a whole lot of sporting events anyway,

00:32:10.460 and I certainly don't watch women's sporting events like the WNBA or something. 0.91

00:32:14.480 Just not my cup of tea.

00:32:15.560 I don't know.

00:32:15.980 Everybody has their thing.

00:32:16.860 That's not mine.

00:32:18.120 But this is what the culture warrior left always does.

00:32:21.920 They always gaslight us on this.

00:32:24.020 They radically redefine some very basic aspect of our culture.

00:32:28.280 They radically redefine sports.

00:32:30.060 They radically redefine gender.

00:32:33.280 They radically redefine bathrooms.

00:32:34.820 They radically redefine marriage.

00:32:37.260 And then some of us object to that.

00:32:39.040 We say, yeah, you know, maybe we shouldn't just completely redefine sex.

00:32:44.500 And they say, you're obsessed.

00:32:46.220 You're totally obsessing over it.

00:32:47.780 No, we're not obsessing over anything.

00:32:50.700 The left is the aggressor in the culture wars.

00:32:54.000 We're the ones saying, hmm, maybe your ideas are a little crazy and weird.

00:32:58.460 Maybe we shouldn't buy into them.

00:32:59.720 And they say, you're obsessing.

00:33:01.000 When they say that, that's how you know that you're getting under their skin.

00:33:05.800 Because the way that the left proceeds to dominate the culture is slowly and steadily.

00:33:11.920 And they almost pretend that they're not doing it.

00:33:15.320 I mean, now we are told, if you believe in the definition of marriage that President Barack Obama held as late as 2012, you're a bigot.

00:33:23.080 That was seven years ago.

00:33:26.000 That was very recently.

00:33:27.800 Now we're told, if you believe that a man is not a woman, you are a bigot.

00:33:33.980 You are not welcome into polite society.

00:33:35.900 This was an opinion that was held by everybody from the beginning of time until like five seconds ago.

00:33:43.160 And now, if you tweet out, men are not women, you can be banned from Twitter.

00:33:48.460 Twitter has said that.

00:33:49.320 They can permanently suspend you for it.

00:33:51.120 That's how fast they move.

00:33:52.180 And if you come out and you say, gosh, maybe we should think about this, guys.

00:33:55.920 Maybe every civilization for all of human history everywhere was on to something when they said that men and women are different.

00:34:02.860 Maybe every origin story of our species, which begins with the sexual difference between men and women, maybe, I don't know, maybe they weren't just completely crazy.

00:34:14.260 They say, you're obsessed.

00:34:15.580 Give it up.

00:34:16.120 Stop it.

00:34:16.460 It's not a big deal.

00:34:18.620 That's what they say.

00:34:19.420 It's not a big deal.

00:34:20.140 Well, if it's not a big deal, let women have their own sports. 1.00

00:34:23.520 If it's not, you're right.

00:34:24.640 I don't think it's a big deal to let women have their own sports. 1.00

00:34:27.480 You, on the left, you're the ones making this a big deal.

00:34:30.400 So fine, let them have their own sports. 0.71

00:34:31.860 Let them have their own locker rooms. 0.82

00:34:33.660 Let them have their own bathrooms. 1.00

00:34:35.560 Back off. 0.97

00:34:36.360 Women exist. 1.00

00:34:37.300 Get over it, weirdos. 0.88

00:34:39.300 But they won't do that.

00:34:40.880 They can't back off because this is part of the aggression of the culture wars.

00:34:45.320 This is part of the, I mean, it's an irony because of all people, I'm the one now defending women's sports.

00:34:50.260 But I guess politics makes strange bedfellows.

00:34:53.400 And you are going to see within the next few years, women's sports will not be permitted to exist. 0.98

00:34:59.760 This will make it all the way up to the Olympics.

00:35:01.260 You're already seeing that happen now.

00:35:03.540 And the question is, when will feminists, when will women generally, when will the fairer sex rise up and say, no, stop it. 1.00

00:35:15.140 You weirdo men who write in the New York Times and tell us that we're not allowed to have our own sports. 0.82

00:35:21.240 Stop it. 0.63

00:35:21.820 You don't get to do that.

00:35:23.020 It is misogyny.

00:35:24.040 It's a word that I don't use very often, but that's the only way to describe it.

00:35:28.740 Speaking of totally old and antiquated ideas like the difference between men and women, let's talk about that old and antiquated presidential campaign run by Joe Biden, the sometime frontrunner.

00:35:39.860 I guess he's still the frontrunner, but he seems to be going nowhere fast.

00:35:43.500 So he was recently asked what his health care plan would be.

00:35:47.860 I kid you not.

00:35:48.940 The gaffe machine, the greatest gaffer in the history of American politics, comes out and tells the people that his health care plan is that if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.

00:36:01.920 Where have we heard that before?

00:36:03.560 Here he is.

00:36:04.500 How many of you have, when you were working, liked your, and you may still be working, many of you, how many of you like your employer-based health care?

00:36:12.560 Did you think it was adequate?

00:36:14.440 Now, if I come along and say, finish, you can't have it anymore.

00:36:18.000 Well, that's what Medicare for all does.

00:36:19.400 You cannot have it, period.

00:36:21.600 Number one.

00:36:22.220 There's a hiatus spot in between, by the way, how long it's going to take.

00:36:25.940 So I'd leave people the option.

00:36:28.000 If you like your health care plan, your employer-based plan, you can keep it.

00:36:32.320 If, in fact, you have private insurance, you can keep it.

00:36:37.060 Oh, yeah?

00:36:37.900 Is that right?

00:36:38.680 What was it that a very wise man once said?

00:36:41.580 Fool me once.

00:36:42.540 Shame on you.

00:36:43.800 Fool me.

00:36:45.880 The point is you're not going to fool me again.

00:36:47.820 I think that was George W. Bush who said that, and he was absolutely right. 0.72

00:36:51.740 Joe Biden.

00:36:53.120 Joe Biden has been dreaming about being president since, I think, the 1820s.

00:36:57.740 He's been a part of American public life since the 1970s.

00:37:01.120 He's run for president now almost continuously since 1988.

00:37:06.460 Got kicked out in 88, ran again in 2008.

00:37:08.920 Got picked to be vice president because Obama hated Hillary so much.

00:37:12.020 Now he's running again.

00:37:13.780 And in all of that time, the best that he could come up with for his health care plan

00:37:18.340 is to repeat the PolitiFact lie of the year that Barack Obama said cost Obama and the Democrats

00:37:28.280 1,000 seats across the country.

00:37:30.140 The lie that under left-wing health care, if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.

00:37:36.200 Does he think people forgot?

00:37:37.420 Maybe Joe Biden just forgot, but we can remind him.

00:37:41.080 That's not how it works.

00:37:42.200 If you like your doctor, you don't get to keep your doctor under government health care.

00:37:47.040 Because the government has all the power.

00:37:48.980 Makes perfect sense.

00:37:50.720 Ronald Reagan made it clear.

00:37:52.740 The government that is big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take away everything that you've got.

00:37:58.040 Now, let me ask you something.

00:38:01.000 Why do you think these left-wingers in government are so eager to give everything away for free?

00:38:06.660 To give you free health care, quote unquote.

00:38:08.700 To give you free money in a straight check, quote unquote.

00:38:12.500 To give you free housing.

00:38:13.920 To give you free education.

00:38:15.140 To give you free student loan payments.

00:38:18.060 Do you really think it's just out of the goodness of their own heart?

00:38:21.320 Do you really think they're such charitable, wonderful people?

00:38:24.580 They're not.

00:38:25.000 They don't give any money to charity.

00:38:26.180 Study after study shows that the left, and particularly the elected left, gives a lot less to charity than conservatives do.

00:38:34.640 The reason that they keep trying to, quote unquote, give everything away for free is because that money equals dependency.

00:38:42.380 And that dependency is power.

00:38:45.100 They don't care about your health care plan.

00:38:48.460 Everybody in America can access health care.

00:38:50.560 Nobody gets turned away at the hospital.

00:38:52.280 We have by far the greatest health care system in the world.

00:38:54.680 Whenever anyone wants a complicated surgery or any high quality health care, wherever they are on earth, they come to the United States. 0.99

00:39:01.520 They don't care about the quality of your health care.

00:39:04.340 They want to control your health care choices.

00:39:07.760 And that's what happens.

00:39:09.140 He who pays the piper calls the tune.

00:39:11.800 Now, what this means politically for 2020 is that Joe Biden has nothing.

00:39:16.260 I mean, you'd think this guy could come.

00:39:18.660 He spent the last several years planning his run for president, and he's got nothing.

00:39:24.860 He can just, he can only rehash the old failed policies of 10 years ago.

00:39:31.080 The Democrats broadly can't offer anything other than free this and free that.

00:39:34.860 You haven't really heard them articulate any serious policy proposal, anything new other than socialism,

00:39:41.200 which is the oldest political ideology of any that are being promoted right now.

00:39:46.360 Just more of the same old stuff.

00:39:48.200 And this is why they have to just use the invective.

00:39:51.780 This is why they have to insult people and call everyone racist and everyone sexist and everyone's a bigot.

00:39:56.840 They have to do that because they don't have anything of substance to say.

00:40:00.180 And this has now swung back around on poor old Joe Biden.

00:40:03.400 And I just see him falling.

00:40:06.220 We've long predicted that Joe Biden's best day would be his first day.

00:40:09.940 He just keeps kind of slowly falling down the poles.

00:40:13.040 Doesn't seem like he's got a lot of oomph, a lot of stamina, nothing really to offer to the American people.

00:40:18.260 And it looks like some of these squad-supported young guns who are running for president are more likely to take it away from him. 0.98

00:40:26.140 Which brings us to all of this race baiting, all of this anti-American rhetoric brings us to the stupidest column that I've read on the internet today. 0.97

00:40:37.600 I mean, every day it changes. 0.99

00:40:39.020 This one in the Washington Post from Al Green.

00:40:41.920 Unfortunately, not the wonderful singer, but the less than wonderful congressman.

00:40:46.760 He writes about his plan to save America from our original sin.

00:40:53.600 Very frequently you'll hear slavery referred to as the original sin of America.

00:40:58.280 And he has a convenient strategy to overcome our original sin.

00:41:04.120 Impeach Trump.

00:41:06.000 That'll get us past it, right?

00:41:07.720 Won't it?

00:41:08.040 This is what he writes.

00:41:08.800 Quote,

00:41:09.820 This bigotry, this hate, this homophobia, Islamophobia, xenophobia is a part of our original sin.

00:41:18.240 I'm just going to stop there for a second.

00:41:20.560 Homophobia is a part of the original sin?

00:41:23.600 Uh, Islamophobia is a part of our, I thought original sin was slavery.

00:41:28.560 Something tells me if you polled every single person in the 18th century about what they thought of homosexuality, I bet they'd all be homophobes, okay? 0.69

00:41:37.580 If you ask them what they thought about Islam, I think they'd all be Islamophobes, quote unquote. 0.81

00:41:42.480 Actually, our earliest wars were with Muslim pirates because they were enslaving all of our sailors. 1.00

00:41:49.200 So, I'm a little skeptical of this to begin with.

00:41:52.480 Because they just add phobia, phobia, phobia, and they add it all into their intersectional hierarchy of oppression. 0.99

00:41:58.820 Green goes on, quote,

00:41:59.620 This is really cynical and disgusting stuff from Al Green because what he's saying is,

00:42:18.580 Hey, hey, everyone, you should feel really guilty about something that happened hundreds of years ago.

00:42:23.540 And the only way that you can overcome that, the only way that you can prove that you're anti-slavery is giving me what I want politically. 0.93

00:42:30.880 How disgusting, how cynical. 0.94

00:42:32.760 He goes on, quote,

00:42:33.500 This is our opportunity, and I beg that we would take advantage of it and let history know that when we had a chance to do something about the original sin of the United States of America, 0.79

00:42:43.720 the sin which caused us to have a civil war, the sin which took Dr. King's life, the sin which took Abraham Lincoln's life,

00:42:50.140 when we had an opportunity to do something about the original sin, we took the opportunity and we did,

00:42:55.620 which was the most honorable thing to do, and that was to impeach this president. 0.99

00:43:00.460 I won't even get into the countless grammatical and punctuation errors in this very stupid column, 0.99

00:43:06.560 but I will point out his incoherence. 0.98

00:43:11.580 We need to do something to overcome the original sin.

00:43:14.620 The original sin is slavery. 0.55

00:43:16.880 We need to do something to overcome the original sin which caused us to have a civil war.

00:43:21.880 Hmm.

00:43:23.620 Is it not possible that the civil war was the United States doing something about our original sin? 0.57

00:43:29.600 Don't you think that the civil war did more to end slavery in America than impeaching Donald Trump 150 years after slavery was abolished would do to end slavery in America?

00:43:40.560 Something tells me it would.

00:43:41.940 Don't you think that the murder of Abraham Lincoln is something that might atone or try to make good for that original sin of slavery?

00:43:51.300 Don't you think all of the civil rights legislation that has been passed, all of the social maturity that has occurred, all of the racial reconciliation that we've seen in the United States,

00:44:02.020 don't you think any of that might do something to atone for the original sin?

00:44:08.040 No.

00:44:08.480 All of that was nothing.

00:44:09.940 Bloody civil war, three quarters of a million Americans dead.

00:44:12.560 No.

00:44:12.720 That meant nothing.

00:44:13.860 What we really need to do is impeach Donald Trump and then we'll have atoned for the original sin of slavery, right?

00:44:20.380 Something tells me that's not going to be good enough either.

00:44:23.940 Something tells me Al Green is going to, whatever law he wants passed next, then that's going to be the thing that atones for the original sin of slavery.

00:44:32.040 This whole category, the original sin, I find a little bit problematic.

00:44:38.640 Obviously, this is a great egregious moral error that was part of the foundation of this country.

00:44:46.540 There were other moral errors as well.

00:44:48.840 Do we not think that some of the harsh dealings with the Native Americans, is that not the original sin? 1.00

00:44:54.260 Maybe that's part of the original sin.

00:44:56.460 Do we not think that some misguided wars might be part of the original sin?

00:45:03.220 Some misguided arrangements with foreign countries might be part of the original sin?

00:45:08.080 That some of our, maybe the Articles of Confederation, I don't know, that nearly collapsed the country before we got our constitution.

00:45:17.740 Was that not part of the original sin?

00:45:19.940 What about the 19th century?

00:45:21.760 What about the 20th century?

00:45:23.720 What about it?

00:45:26.460 When you look at the original sin of America, you realize it's much more complicated than just one institution or one thing.

00:45:35.520 You see that sin pervades not just the founding of the country, but the whole country.

00:45:42.320 Not just the whole country, but the whole world.

00:45:45.300 We live in a fallen world where there is sin.

00:45:50.480 And you can never atone for sin.

00:45:53.760 This is what Christianity is. 0.57

00:45:56.460 It's unbought grace, redemption from a Savior.

00:46:01.420 And short of a Savior, short of God himself becoming incarnate, redeeming the world, the greatest story ever told.

00:46:11.360 Short of that, the way that we deal in a world of sin is with grace.

00:46:15.660 You know, the Lord's Prayer says,

00:46:17.080 Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.

00:46:21.220 It's a world of grace.

00:46:22.720 We have two options nationally.

00:46:24.960 We can either accept grace, offer grace to one another.

00:46:29.360 Not merely condemn some past historical figures, but recognize that we ourselves are committing injustices.

00:46:36.240 And our descendants will commit injustices.

00:46:39.060 And history will look on us pretty poorly. 0.87

00:46:42.320 We kill a million babies a year. 0.98

00:46:43.560 That's just one example.

00:46:44.420 Either we can accept grace, work as best we can to improve our lot and our country and our moral behavior and offer that grace to one another.

00:46:54.860 We can either do that or we can commit national suicide.

00:46:59.020 We can hate our country, hate ourselves, hate our countrymen, hate our ideals.

00:47:04.640 Try to do everything we can to discourage assimilation. 1.00

00:47:08.900 Bring in anyone else to the country, anyone but us, because of how awful we are. 1.00

00:47:13.840 Fall away from our role in the world.

00:47:16.860 Stop believing in our foundational principles, our ideas, the ideas that we've developed over time.

00:47:22.800 Abandon our institutions.

00:47:24.720 Abandon our countrymen. 0.83

00:47:25.680 Despise our country.

00:47:26.460 Those are the two options.

00:47:27.980 Grace or national suicide?

00:47:31.480 We've got a national suicide squad on one side.

00:47:33.840 We'll see who wins out.

00:47:35.540 A lot more to get to, but we'll do it tomorrow.
