The Michael Knowles Show - Ep. 485 - Trump’s Team Goes For The Jugular

00:00:00.000 Hey, so what did you want to talk about?

00:00:01.900 Well, I want to tell you about Wagovi. 0.74

00:00:04.580 Wagovi?

00:00:05.320 Yeah, Wagovi. 0.96

00:00:06.520 What about it?

00:00:07.160 On second thought, I might not be the right person to tell you.

00:00:10.380 Oh, you're not?

00:00:11.180 No, just ask your doctor.

00:00:13.420 About Wagovi?

00:00:14.880 Yeah, ask for it by name.

00:00:16.520 Okay, so why did you bring me to this circus?

00:00:19.860 Oh, I'm really into lion tamers.

00:00:22.200 You know, with the chair and everything.

00:00:24.360 Ask your doctor for Wagovi by name. 0.70

00:00:28.880 Exclusions may apply.

00:00:30.000 On the first full day of President Trump's impeachment defense,

00:00:33.640 the Trump team flips the script on House Democrats

00:00:36.020 and turns the trial of Donald Trump

00:00:37.820 into a national broadcast of Democrat corruption.

00:00:41.580 We will examine the wonderful strategy.

00:00:44.260 Then, the FBI is reportedly investigating Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar

00:00:48.540 over claims that she once married her brother,

00:00:51.260 which is definitely gross and possibly illegal.

00:00:54.340 Then, Pete Buttigieg shows he's not ready for prime time,

00:00:57.360 and Hunter Biden somehow, incredibly, gets into even more trouble.

00:01:01.440 All that and more.

00:01:02.240 I'm Michael Knowles, and this is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:01:04.060 Who, boy, do we have a lot to get into today.

00:01:14.540 What a roller coaster we went through yesterday on the Trump impeachment defense.

00:01:19.940 Started off very slow.

00:01:21.280 I was sweating.

00:01:22.180 I was nervous.

00:01:22.800 I thought it was not going well at all.

00:01:24.780 And then the Trump team just kicked it into high gear during prime time.

00:01:28.280 We will get to all of it.

00:01:29.680 We will get to the very smart strategy all around.

00:01:32.320 But first, I've got to thank our friends over at Robinhood.

00:01:35.840 With Robinhood, you can invest in stocks.

00:01:38.240 You can invest in options.

00:01:39.820 You can invest in ETFs right from your phone.

00:01:43.080 You can even spend and earn interest on uninvested cash.

00:01:47.760 And with fractional shares, you can buy stocks in any amount,

00:01:51.120 including companies like Apple, Amazon, and Tesla, for as little as $1.

00:01:55.300 Maybe you can't afford to buy a whole bunch of shares.

00:01:57.660 You can buy just parts of them.

00:01:59.040 That is with no commission fees or account minimums.

00:02:02.780 So whether you're new to investing and ready to learn,

00:02:05.560 or whether you've got a ton of experience,

00:02:07.560 you should join the 10 million Robinhood users.

00:02:10.120 I love Robinhood because I'm actually financially completely illiterate.

00:02:13.760 And what I love about Robinhood is it makes it so simple for me.

00:02:16.860 I don't feel like I need an advanced degree to just invest some of my money

00:02:19.860 and start earning a little bit more.

00:02:22.480 Go to knolls.robinhood.com to learn more and claim your free stock.

00:02:28.380 That is knolls.robinhood.com.

00:02:30.720 All investments involve risk.

00:02:32.140 This is not investment advice or recommendation or a solicitation of any security.

00:02:36.420 Other fees may apply.

00:02:37.300 Visit rbnhd.co slash fees.

00:02:40.920 The free stock program is subject to certain limitations.

00:02:43.260 Annual percentage yield on uninvested cash is paid by program banks and is variable.

00:02:47.780 Robinhood Financial is not a bank.

00:02:50.420 But that is still my recommendation to go check it out.

00:02:54.140 There was really great stuff from the Trump team yesterday.

00:02:58.380 We'll cut right to the chase and get to the highlights.

00:03:01.520 Then we'll work back and see how that strategy fits in overall because seen in light of the

00:03:07.300 really good stuff that the Trump team gave at the end of the day, the earlier part of their

00:03:13.000 impeachment defense reads not like a kind of weak open.

00:03:16.920 It reads like a threat.

00:03:18.980 So it really starts to kick off well when President Trump's lawyer Pam Bondi gets up there and doesn't

00:03:27.900 really address all the crazy Democratic claims about Trump, all of the crimes that aren't actually

00:03:36.040 crimes but are still impeachable for some reason according to the logic of the House impeachment

00:03:41.940 manager.

00:03:42.260 She just ignores that.

00:03:43.460 She doesn't go on defense.

00:03:45.560 She doesn't spend all of her time explaining and explaining and explaining and losing.

00:03:50.160 Instead, she goes on offense.

00:03:52.300 She goes right at Hunter Biden.

00:03:54.460 She goes right at Burisma.

00:03:56.280 She goes right at Democratic corruption in the past administration.

00:04:00.880 Check it out.

00:04:01.940 The typical board member of these Fortune 100 companies, we know they're titans of their

00:04:07.460 industry.

00:04:07.900 They're highly qualified.

00:04:09.880 And as such, they're well compensated.

00:04:12.260 Even so, Hunter Biden was paid significantly more.

00:04:18.240 This is how well he was compensated.

00:04:22.060 So Hunter Biden is paid over $83,000 a month.

00:04:26.720 While the average American family of four during that time each year made less than $54,000.

00:04:40.240 And that's according to U.S. Census Bureau during that time.

00:04:43.200 And this is what's been reported about his work on the board.

00:04:48.380 The Washington Post said, quote, what specific duties Hunter Biden carried out for Burisma are not fully known.

00:04:56.000 End quote.

00:04:56.500 She goes on to say Burisma was so corrupt that George Kent, one of the people who testified during the House impeachment investigation, said he intervened to prevent USAID from co-sponsoring an event with Burisma.

00:05:11.060 It was so corrupt.

00:05:12.060 So the reason this is important here is because you don't just have the Trump team on their heels.

00:05:21.740 You don't just have the Trump team so far back that they can't advance their own arguments.

00:05:27.540 They're actually going for the Democrats and putting them on the defensive.

00:05:31.520 And then Senator Ted Cruz, who I've been hosting this podcast verdict with Ted Cruz with all week long, he comes and hits it home in a press gaggle in one of these breaks.

00:05:44.800 Senator Cruz went straight for Hunter Biden and put it in plain terms that everybody, including those who haven't been paying attention 24 hours a day, can understand.

00:05:54.440 In the entire proceeding, we have heard just at the beginning of the serious evidence of corruption involving Burisma, the Ukrainian natural gas company that paid Hunter Biden, Joe Biden's son, a million dollars a year.

00:06:12.800 So while Joe Biden, let me answer, I'll answer the question.

00:06:15.500 Could you answer the question? I appreciate it.

00:06:17.180 Let me answer the question without interrupting me, please.

00:06:19.460 You got it.

00:06:19.960 Burisma paid Hunter Biden, Joe Biden's son, a million dollars a year, while Hunter Biden threatened Ukraine to withhold a billion dollars in aid, unless and until they fired the prosecutor investigating his son.

00:06:39.700 When did Joe Biden threaten anyone, sir?

00:06:40.720 Joe Biden threatened Joe Biden is vice president of the United States.

00:06:45.060 And we just saw a video, which I would encourage every news outlet here to actually show the video of Joe Biden bragging how he told the president of Ukraine that he was going to cut off a billion dollars.

00:06:56.860 He was going to block a billion dollars in foreign aid to Ukraine unless they fired the prosecutor. 0.99

00:07:01.840 And in Joe Biden's own words, son of a bitch, they fired the guy. 0.98

00:07:06.680 This was a strategy that Senator Cruz had previewed on our podcast earlier this week. 0.99

00:07:13.100 He said, you've got to make Burisma, you've got to make the Bidens the center of this whole thing.

00:07:19.080 It worked.

00:07:20.220 It was over the target.

00:07:21.660 You know, I think Pam Bondi did a good job, but I think Senator Cruz did a better job.

00:07:24.960 Cruz drove these reporters so crazy that at one point he actually made one of them suggest throwing his nine and 11 year old children in prison.

00:07:38.380 Over those two hours, none of the president's attorneys mentioned one single possible crime that Hunter or Joe Biden are accused of.

00:07:47.320 Basically, what they said was Hunter Biden got a job.

00:07:51.040 That was vice president.

00:07:52.640 If that's a crime, I mean, shouldn't half of your children be in prison?

00:07:56.660 My children are nine and 11.

00:07:58.440 I'm sorry that you want to throw a nine year old in prison.

00:08:01.160 But at this point, my third grader plays basketball and softball at her school.

00:08:06.900 So stop playing the nasty.

00:08:08.960 No, no, stop playing the nasty Washington game. 0.99

00:08:12.360 That's how you know that Senator Cruz is over the target.

00:08:14.540 He handled it very well.

00:08:15.640 But I just love it.

00:08:17.300 These mainstream media hacks, these absolute liberal propagandists.

00:08:26.020 They get so angry that that Senator Cruz has identified the real key in the impeachment trial, which is not answering all this B.S. from the Democrats, but actually going after their whole corruption, which was at the center of the phone call to get the investigation that got us the impeachment in the first place.

00:08:42.500 Right. Go right back to the heart of it all.

00:08:45.200 The the mainstream media liberal hacks were so upset about this, they decide they're going to threaten Ted Cruz's daughters and say they should be thrown in prison.

00:08:53.720 Beautiful.

00:08:54.160 And Senator Cruz handled it very, very well.

00:08:57.500 Wasn't just Hunter Biden either.

00:09:00.000 The Trump legal team also went after the so-called whistleblower.

00:09:05.020 So you had in this case, Patrick Philbin, the deputy counsel to the president, when he was making his presentation in the impeachment trial, he decided to focus in on the so-called whistleblower because I know it's it's so convoluted.

00:09:18.520 It's been so insane how this impeachment farce began.

00:09:22.220 But let's remember it began when President Trump had a phone call with the president of Ukraine.

00:09:29.860 And in that phone call, he suggested some investigations into corruption.

00:09:36.060 The allegation then the Democrats made was that President Trump was withholding military aid until Ukraine agreed to investigate corruption that involved Joe Biden.

00:09:47.340 And this was a big deal because Joe Biden is running against President Trump in 2020, although increasingly it's looking like he's not going to get the nomination of his party anyway.

00:09:57.580 So that's how it all began.

00:09:59.280 There was a so-called whistleblower who heard this phone call with Ukraine and made a big deal out of it.

00:10:06.120 And that's how we got impeachment.

00:10:07.260 So so Patrick Philbin, this lawyer for the president, starts asking about this whistleblower.

00:10:12.760 Who is this guy?

00:10:13.960 If he's at the heart of this whole thing, why don't we know anything about him?

00:10:17.800 Here's Philbin.

00:10:19.960 Whistleblower who we haven't heard that much about, who started all of this.

00:10:26.200 The whistleblower, we know from a letter that the inspector general of the intelligence community sent, that he thought that the whistleblower had political bias.

00:10:40.420 We don't know exactly what the political bias was because the inspector general testified in the House committees in an executive session.

00:10:53.220 And that transcript is still secret.

00:10:57.340 It wasn't transmitted up to the House Judiciary Committee.

00:11:01.020 We haven't seen it.

00:11:01.860 We don't know what's in it.

00:11:03.200 We don't know what he was asked and what he revealed about the whistleblower.

00:11:07.360 Now, you would think that before going forward with an impeachment proceeding against the president of the United States,

00:11:19.740 that you would want to find out something about the complainant that had started all of it.

00:11:25.160 Because motivations, bias, reasons for wanting to bring this complaint could be relevant.

00:11:34.280 Yes, thank you.

00:11:38.940 Exactly.

00:11:39.700 That's right.

00:11:40.900 That's right.

00:11:41.640 That's what this is about.

00:11:43.600 So, Patrick Philbin, Pam Bondi, they are putting the Democrats on their heels.

00:11:50.280 And then Philbin, by the way, he tees it up.

00:11:52.900 He says, why aren't we asking questions about the whistleblower?

00:11:55.120 And then he starts to go after him with details because we all have a pretty good sense of who this whistleblower is.

00:12:03.040 Seems like he had connections to Joe Biden.

00:12:05.200 Seems like he was leaking out of the intelligence community.

00:12:07.760 And Philbin goes right for him.

00:12:09.540 Recent reports, public reports, suggest that potentially the whistleblower was an intelligence community staffer who worked with then-Vice President Biden on Ukraine matters.

00:12:25.500 Which, if true, would suggest an even greater reason for wanting to know about potential bias or motive for the whistleblower.

00:12:38.440 That's right.

00:12:41.440 So, he actually starts doing it.

00:12:44.560 He says, we need to start asking questions.

00:12:46.400 And then he asks the questions.

00:12:48.000 We need to start looking into this whistleblower.

00:12:49.760 Then he starts looking into the whistleblower.

00:12:51.540 We need much more of this in this impeachment trial.

00:12:56.220 This is actually President Trump's style.

00:12:58.400 This is the sort of thing that President Trump does.

00:13:02.120 And we'll actually see an example of that in a little bit.

00:13:04.860 But he should make sure that his whole legal team adopts this style, too.

00:13:09.360 It's very, very effective.

00:13:10.980 I have to admit, I was terrified when these defenses started out today.

00:13:18.040 You know, Ken Starr, the famous investigator from the Clinton impeachment, he was the first person on Trump's legal team to make a presentation.

00:13:26.400 And I thought it was a little weak.

00:13:29.100 I thought, if this is all we're going to get from the Trump legal defense, he's actually in a lot of trouble.

00:13:35.400 But when you look at Ken Starr's opening arguments in the light of the later arguments, which go right after Hunter Biden, go right after the whistleblower, then you see there is actually a brilliant strategy here in Starr's opening arguments.

00:13:50.860 Because his arguments, they played almost like a law school lecture.

00:13:54.960 They played almost sort of philosophical, taken out of context.

00:13:59.400 But when you look at them in context, they were a threat to Democrats.

00:14:04.180 We'll get to that in a second.

00:14:05.180 First, I've got to thank our friends over at Daniel's.

00:14:07.560 You know how much I love Daniel's.

00:14:11.800 How you carry your personal items can make you look prepared, adult, mature, like you know what you're doing, or like a slob. 0.97

00:14:21.380 Are you still carrying around some old college backpack when you go to work?

00:14:26.420 You show up at your job and it's like your mother packed your backpack for you?

00:14:30.520 If so, grow up, kids.

00:14:31.960 Come on.

00:14:32.260 I'm sorry.

00:14:32.840 I know this is tough love, but you need it.

00:14:35.600 Get a briefcase.

00:14:36.820 And when you get a briefcase, there's only one choice.

00:14:39.320 Daniel's.

00:14:39.980 Daniel's, based in New York City, makes leather briefcases for the modern professional.

00:14:44.340 They're just magnificent.

00:14:45.740 I've had a lot of really nice briefcases in my life.

00:14:48.820 I've gotten them as hand-me-downs and gifts and stuff.

00:14:51.360 Daniel's is my favorite by far.

00:14:53.380 They have really, really high-quality, durable Italian leather briefcases.

00:14:58.640 There is no nicer leather than Italian leather.

00:15:01.220 It's so beautiful.

00:15:02.760 The size is perfect.

00:15:03.920 It's simple.

00:15:05.060 It's not flashy.

00:15:06.680 It's just got really, really elegant design.

00:15:08.660 I simply love mine.

00:15:10.020 This week, my listeners can get $50 off their Daniel's briefcase at DanielsNYC.com by using the promo code Michael, M-I-C-H-A-E-L.

00:15:35.160 You can start looking like a professional today.

00:15:38.080 Do it.

00:15:38.580 So, I was terrified when it started out.

00:15:42.340 Then I realized Ken Starr knows what he's doing.

00:15:45.240 I should have known it in the first place.

00:15:47.620 But it was a really subtle but effective argument.

00:15:53.120 So, Ken Starr begins, and he points out there's no crimes.

00:15:57.640 Trump didn't commit any crimes.

00:15:59.640 The articles of impeachment don't even say that he committed crimes.

00:16:03.520 Then he gets to the danger of this impeachment.

00:16:08.360 He even describes the time that we're living in as the age of impeachment.

00:16:13.380 Here he is.

00:16:13.940 The Senate is being called to sit as the high court of impeachment all too frequently.

00:16:23.640 Indeed, we are living in what I think can aptly be described as the age of impeachment.

00:16:31.680 In the House, resolution after resolution, month after month, has called for the president's impeachment.

00:16:40.400 How did we get here?

00:16:43.940 Yet here at home, in the world's longest standing constitutional republic,

00:16:50.100 instead of a once-in-a-century phenomenon, which it had been,

00:16:55.740 presidential impeachment has become a weapon to be wielded against one's political opponent.

00:17:05.320 Absolutely right.

00:17:06.500 A great point.

00:17:08.280 A great point.

00:17:09.100 The left is accusing Ken Starr of hypocrisy.

00:17:13.940 Because he says, how did we get to this point where we're living in the age of impeachment?

00:17:17.380 And what the left is saying is, we got here because of you.

00:17:20.640 You're the guy who impeached Clinton.

00:17:22.720 So, it's your fault.

00:17:24.840 How dare you? 0.99

00:17:25.560 What rank hypocrisy?

00:17:28.120 It's not hypocrisy.

00:17:29.820 It's experience.

00:17:33.220 Ken Starr is speaking with some credibility here.

00:17:35.520 He's saying, look, I was involved in the Clinton impeachment.

00:17:38.920 I was brought in as this investigator.

00:17:41.480 But now we're doing this so regularly.

00:17:43.920 It's become merely a political tool.

00:17:46.120 It's not being used in the way that the founders and framers of our constitution wanted it to.

00:17:50.960 So, what's happening here is it's reopening some of the impeachment of Bill Clinton.

00:17:58.380 It's reminding people of the impeachment of Bill Clinton.

00:18:01.940 If that was all they were doing, it would be a very stupid strategy because it would be just restoking those resentments, getting Democrats to remember how much they hated the Clinton impeachment, getting them more ready to go after Trump in this impeachment. 0.58

00:18:15.420 But that's not what it was doing.

00:18:17.360 What this opening did was get all of that out of the way and set the stage of these constant impeachments as a real danger to the republic because we're now just going to be living in a system where the Congress throws out whatever president it doesn't like.

00:18:33.260 That's not the system that our founders wanted, but that's the system we're getting into now.

00:18:38.920 Ken Starr says that would be a very bad thing.

00:18:41.200 In fact, he goes so far as to say that impeachment is hell.

00:18:45.420 Like war, impeachment is hell.

00:18:52.540 Or at least presidential impeachment is hell.

00:18:57.520 Those of us who live through the Clinton impeachment, including members of this body, full well understand that a presidential impeachment is tantamount to domestic war,

00:19:09.900 albeit thankfully protected by our beloved First Amendment, a war of words and a war of ideas.

00:19:18.240 But it's filled with acrimony and it divides the country like nothing else.

00:19:26.420 Those of us who live through the Clinton impeachment understand that in a deep and personal way.

00:19:32.980 It's hell, it's like war, it divides the country and we are in the age of impeachment.

00:19:43.140 But do we have to be?

00:19:46.760 That's the question that Ken Starr is leaving on the table.

00:19:51.140 Do we have to be?

00:19:53.260 Because there's a little bit of a cause and effect here, right?

00:19:56.180 It is true that impeachment divides the country, but impeachment also comes only during periods of great division.

00:20:02.620 So the first impeachment we had was of President Andrew Johnson.

00:20:06.160 That was in 1868.

00:20:10.100 Now, did the impeachment of Andrew Johnson cause the division in the country?

00:20:14.240 No, we had just come out of the Civil War.

00:20:16.320 I mean, it was the greatest division you could possibly have and the impeachment was a result of that division.

00:20:21.320 Next impeachment we have or near impeachment we have of Richard Nixon was in 1974.

00:20:26.060 Did Richard Nixon divide the country?

00:20:28.660 No, the country was terribly divided on the heels of the 1960s and the rise of radical leftism in the Cold War.

00:20:37.240 Next impeachment we have, 1998.

00:20:40.420 That's the impeachment of Bill Clinton who perjured himself and had his law license suspended because of what he did.

00:20:48.100 We're pretty divided in the 90s too.

00:20:50.340 I mean, the 90s was that prime era of political correctness.

00:20:54.400 The parties were really starting to separate.

00:20:57.020 They were really starting to dig into what they believed.

00:20:59.820 And then now we have another impeachment in 2019.

00:21:02.380 So this is getting faster and faster.

00:21:04.600 Are we divided as a country because Trump got impeached?

00:21:08.260 No, Trump got impeached because we're divided as a country.

00:21:11.440 But it does further divide the country.

00:21:13.740 I think that's why you're seeing it speed up.

00:21:16.720 Now, this was a great way for the Trump legal team to stave off some criticism.

00:21:24.400 Stave off criticism that they didn't want to hear witnesses, that they were just trying to dodge impeachment, that they were using Ken Starr as a lawyer in the first place.

00:21:32.460 They addressed all of the criticisms that could be thrown at them.

00:21:37.220 And they also sent a threat.

00:21:39.440 They sent a message here, which was, if you want this fight, Democrats, if you're going to try to remove a duly elected president for total BS, then we're going to do it to you.

00:21:53.100 Because impeachment is hell.

00:21:55.720 Impeachment is like war.

00:21:57.940 Impeachment divides the country.

00:21:59.460 And we're not going to give it up without a fight.

00:22:01.880 If you want this hell, we will engage in that hell with you.

00:22:04.880 You see it on the micro scale when it comes to the witnesses, right?

00:22:09.040 The Democrats have all they want is to call former national security advisor John Bolton to testify because they think John Bolton's got dirt on Trump.

00:22:16.540 And the threat here, I think, was you call John Bolton, we call Hunter Biden.

00:22:25.660 You really want to play this game?

00:22:27.180 You want to talk to John Bolton so bad?

00:22:28.660 That's fine. 0.84

00:22:29.300 We'll drag Joe Biden's degenerate corrupt son in front of national television on the Senate and have him spout off all the corrupt things he's done with other corrupt people from the Obama administration. 0.69

00:22:43.120 You really want that? 0.85

00:22:44.320 On the macro level, the threat implied here was you remove our guy from office over BS, guess what we're going to do the first chance we get?

00:22:54.080 The first chance there's a Democrat in office and a Republican Congress and hopefully a Republican Senate, that guy's gone.

00:23:01.240 Not because it's right, but because that's the political situation that you Democrats have forced us into.

00:23:08.380 Because you have shredded the Constitution and we have to live in the new political reality because we can't unilaterally disarm.

00:23:17.120 That's the threat that's being implied here.

00:23:20.060 And it did a whole lot to turn around the perception of President Trump's defense.

00:23:26.900 This is the first day that Trump gets to defend himself, right?

00:23:29.960 You had a whole week of Democrat accusations from the House impeachment managers.

00:23:33.680 Now he defends himself.

00:23:35.080 I think they did a very good job and I think the strengths of these lawyers balanced each other out very, very well because they were coming into this today with a big leak.

00:23:43.260 There was this big leak to the New York Times from former National Security Advisor John Bolton's forthcoming memoir that said that Trump tied military aid in Ukraine to the investigation of Joe Biden, which, by the way, would be perfectly fine if it did.

00:24:01.820 But it created a whole lot of headlines here, right?

00:24:03.760 So that's what they were going into and as a result of that leak to the New York Times, obviously highly coordinated to maximize damage to President Trump's impeachment trial, to try to extend this thing so that Democrats can go on a fishing expedition because Democrats have come up empty so far.

00:24:20.220 Three years later, they got nothing.

00:24:22.680 And it had its intended effect because the squishy Republican senators like Mitt Romney came out and said, yeah, we want to hear more witnesses.

00:24:30.940 To be fair, in John Bolton's defense, this is not John Bolton's fault.

00:24:36.240 Look, he put it in the book.

00:24:37.360 Maybe he should have waited to publish the book.

00:24:39.900 Maybe the publisher is trying to juice book sales.

00:24:43.260 But John Bolton ran this by the White House.

00:24:45.860 He sent a copy of this to the White House.

00:24:49.860 This is on the squishy senators, chief among them Mitt Romney.

00:24:55.800 Mitt Romney is now suggesting that he will vote to hear more witnesses to drag this impeachment trial out into the foreseeable future.

00:25:04.920 Here he is.

00:25:06.260 It's increasingly apparent that it would be important to hear from John Bolton.

00:25:10.260 I, of course, will make a final decision on witnesses after we've heard from not only the prosecution but also the defense.

00:25:16.860 But I think at this stage, it's pretty fair to say that John Bolton has a relevant testimony.

00:25:22.700 I think it's increasingly likely that other Republicans will will join those of us who think we should hear from John Bolton.

00:25:30.860 Oh, Mitt Romney.

00:25:34.000 Why?

00:25:35.340 Why do you have to be Mitt Romney?

00:25:37.500 I knew I said this yesterday.

00:25:38.800 I said, I'm going to be here doing the Verdict with Ted Cruz podcast as long as we see impeachment going. 0.99

00:25:47.140 And so my chances of returning home to Los Angeles rested on Mitt Romney not being a jerk. 0.98

00:25:52.940 So I might as well start looking for apartments now. 0.99

00:25:54.880 Looks like I was right.

00:25:57.100 Susan Collins, another squishy senator. 1.00

00:25:59.240 She's in Maine.

00:26:00.200 She's also signaling that she's in favor of witnesses.

00:26:03.180 Susan Collins is up for reelection this year.

00:26:05.120 And she already has Trump support.

00:26:07.500 Maine went three electoral votes out of four for Hillary Clinton in 2016. 0.85

00:26:13.480 So it's a very delicate situation for Susan Collins.

00:26:16.780 Probably she has to vote for more witnesses. 1.00

00:26:19.720 Then you've got another squishy senator, Lisa Murkowski in Alaska. 1.00

00:26:24.460 Lisa Murkowski is not up for reelection until 2022.

00:26:27.220 So she can do whatever she wants.

00:26:28.400 And I think probably she would prefer to call witnesses. 0.78

00:26:32.620 It's probably the safer move for a moderate senator like her. 1.00

00:26:35.580 Lamar Alexander from Tennessee, another moderate.

00:26:39.900 He's retiring from the Senate.

00:26:41.460 He doesn't care.

00:26:41.940 He's got nothing to lose.

00:26:43.440 He has no reason not to do what he wants.

00:26:45.000 He's got no reason to try to preserve his legacy.

00:26:46.900 The safe choice for him probably to call witnesses.

00:26:49.360 So right now, if nothing changes, it's looking like we might get witnesses and we might get a longer impeachment trial.

00:26:56.200 It is going to be up to these guys, these four senators.

00:27:00.620 Maybe some others could be swayed too.

00:27:02.400 So today, Trump's big defense day, Trump offered a very strong defense right out the gate.

00:27:10.000 It was strong.

00:27:12.480 It was strong because it was an offense.

00:27:15.020 Started out by setting the stage.

00:27:16.540 Then he went for the jugular.

00:27:17.600 It should all be offense from here on.

00:27:19.240 It should all be Hunter Biden and Burisma and the whistleblower.

00:27:23.540 It should be all pressure on Democrats.

00:27:25.780 Ronald Reagan used to say, when you're explaining, you're losing.

00:27:29.940 So when you're defending yourself, when you're on your heels, you're losing.

00:27:32.740 Queen Elizabeth has a phrase that she's reportedly fond of saying, which is never complain, never explain.

00:27:38.840 You're always pushing what you want forward.

00:27:41.000 Trump team did that today.

00:27:42.780 Trump does this strategy personally.

00:27:44.300 He actually just did it with regard to Ilhan Omar, who may have married her brother.

00:27:48.680 Yuck.

00:27:49.080 We'll get to that in a second.

00:27:50.020 We'll get to why Pete Buttigieg is just absolutely blowing it and he's not ready for prime time.

00:27:55.120 And we will get to Hunter Biden somehow getting into even more trouble.

00:28:01.160 And if this impeachment defense from President Trump keeps going the way it's going, he's going to be in even more trouble soon.

00:28:07.160 Before we get to that, I want to talk about the pro-life cause.

00:28:09.360 While the pro-abortion activists shout their abortions on national television and refer to pre-born babies as parasites, pro-lifers have fought back.

00:28:18.160 All of us at The Daily Wire have spoken out in defense of life.

00:28:21.520 Last year, Ben Shapiro addressed a crowd of 100,000 at the March for Life in Washington, D.C.

00:28:26.720 And you know what happened as a result of that?

00:28:29.000 Our advertisers were targeted by left-wing media operatives.

00:28:32.920 We lost a lot of revenue as a result.

00:28:35.200 They were trying to shut us down and shut us up.

00:28:36.940 This is a constant battle to protect pro-life advocacy from the forces pushing abortion.

00:28:42.560 Live action has experienced the same thing.

00:28:44.880 Live action is one of the most important voices in the pro-life movement.

00:28:48.640 I personally support live action and you should too.

00:28:52.140 You know, they have helped to expose Planned Parenthood and other abortion clinics for the horrific crimes that they commit.

00:28:59.080 Pro-abortion activists have targeted live action and censored them on social media platforms when they don't succeed in kicking them off altogether.

00:29:06.620 And that's why our DailyWire.com members are so important.

00:29:10.240 Your membership helps keep our cameras on and our microphones turned up, even when the left is pressuring our sponsors.

00:29:16.340 You keep our pro-life message from being canceled.

00:29:18.800 And from now until January 1st, a portion of any DailyWire.com membership will be donated to live action with promo code LIVEACTION.

00:29:26.560 Easy enough to remember.

00:29:28.100 So join DailyWire.com and make your pro-life voice heard.

00:29:31.920 Head on over to DailyWire.com.

00:29:33.040 And we'll be right back with a lot more.

00:29:47.660 Never explain.

00:29:49.480 Always be pushing your agenda.

00:29:52.300 Always be pushing the stories that you want to see.

00:29:54.920 President Trump knows this implicitly, right?

00:29:56.940 That's how he's been a tabloid star, a media manipulator for 40 years now.

00:30:02.560 I mean, since the 80s, really since the late 70s.

00:30:05.480 You're seeing this in a particular news story right now, which involves Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar, one of AOC's squad.

00:30:14.580 There have been stories going around since 2016, 2017, that Ilhan Omar married her brother.

00:30:21.520 Now, it's not quite as gross as it seems, I guess.

00:30:27.540 The allegation is not that she married her brother because she fell in love with him, but that she married her brother to commit immigration fraud, to get some kind of immigration advantage.

00:30:37.520 We don't know if that's true.

00:30:39.320 We don't know what sort of advantage it would be.

00:30:41.580 That has just been the allegation.

00:30:44.180 And it's come from multiple sources.

00:30:45.580 And the question is, why is nobody investigating this?

00:30:48.200 Well, it seems someone now is investigating it.

00:30:51.060 Two FBI agents held an hours-long meeting in Minnesota back in October with a concerned party, whoever that is, handing over a bunch of documents regarding Ilhan Omar's 2009 marriage to Ahmed Nur Saeed Elmi regarding whether or not she married her brother.

00:31:11.360 So, people are investigating this now.

00:31:14.140 This is according to multiple sources.

00:31:15.460 Because President Trump was asked about it, and instead of playing defense and playing it safe and playing it cautious, he decided to blare that headline all over the world.

00:31:25.500 Here he is.

00:31:27.660 Well, there's a lot of talk about the fact that she was married to her brother.

00:31:31.340 I know nothing about it.

00:31:32.520 I hear she was married to her brother.

00:31:34.440 You're asking me a question about it.

00:31:36.760 I don't know, but I'm sure that somebody would be looking at that.

00:31:41.680 I love this.

00:31:42.640 Look, a lot of people are talking about the fact that Ilhan Omar married her brother.

00:31:47.980 I like that he phrases it as the fact that Ilhan Omar marries her brother.

00:31:51.640 But we don't know.

00:31:52.580 I don't know anything about that.

00:31:54.760 I don't know anything about the very fact that Ilhan Omar married her brother, which many people are talking about.

00:32:00.220 Trump does this all the time.

00:32:01.140 I mean, it is one of the most often used rhetorical strategies he has, but it's very effective.

00:32:08.620 Because all you hear from this, because he repeats it multiple times, is Ilhan Omar married her brother.

00:32:13.660 The fact that Ilhan Omar married her brother.

00:32:16.180 By the way, we don't know that it's a fact yet.

00:32:17.940 There's just a lot of evidence for it, and it's pretty weird that no one's investigated it.

00:32:21.180 Just to give you a little sense of whether or not it's true, here's just a glimpse at the timeline of her marital life.

00:32:30.020 So, 1982, Ilhan Omar is born in Somalia.

00:32:32.880 She comes to Minneapolis with her family in 1997.

00:32:36.920 Then, five years later, when Ilhan Omar is 19 years old, she marries a guy named Ahmed Hirsi, who is 22, in her faith tradition, but not legally.

00:32:46.340 So, they're not legally married.

00:32:49.000 2008, so six years after they get married in the faith tradition, Omar and Hirsi have two kids, and they divorce in their faith tradition.

00:32:59.580 One year later, Ilhan Omar, 26 years old at this point, marries Ahmed Noor Saeed Elmi, who's only 23 years old, three years younger.

00:33:09.500 Then, two years after that, Ilhan Omar and Elmi end their relationship, divorce in their faith tradition, and do not legally get divorced until 2017.

00:33:22.980 So, this is pretty weird, right?

00:33:24.240 Ilhan Omar marries a guy, but not legally.

00:33:26.860 Then, they have two kids.

00:33:28.900 Then, six years later, all of a sudden, they separate.

00:33:33.040 But they were never legally married, so they don't get legally divorced.

00:33:35.620 Then, a year later, she marries this random guy, and then, two years later, they divorce in their faith tradition, but for some reason, they stay legally married for another six years.

00:33:49.500 But then, in 2012, so one year after Omar and Elmi separate, but they still don't get divorced for a lot of years, Omar and Hirsi get back together, and they have a third child together.

00:34:01.720 For the next few years, Ilhan Omar is filing joint tax returns with this guy, Hirsi, but she's still legally married to this other guy, Elmi.

00:34:12.140 Then, Omar becomes a big public figure, and things start to get a little dicey.

00:34:16.480 In 2016, she's elected to the Minnesota House.

00:34:19.480 In 2017, she legally divorces Elmi, who is possibly her brother.

00:34:24.920 We don't know who the guy is.

00:34:26.440 Then, in 2018, she legally marries Hirsi, the father of her three children, who she's been with for a very, very long time, and then she's elected to Congress.

00:34:35.480 Nothing about this timeline makes sense, and it does seem to be very possible that it's a case of immigration fraud.

00:34:44.140 But this needs to be investigated.

00:34:47.280 This needs to be investigated, in particular because she's a rising star in the Democratic Party, and she has absolutely odious political views, and she referred to the September 11th attacks as some people did something, and she giggled while talking about Al-Qaeda and Hezbollah. 0.97

00:35:03.200 And she just, her views are just simply disgusting and repugnant. 1.00

00:35:07.520 So, on a political angle, we should really go after this lady. 1.00

00:35:14.200 That's just politics, though.

00:35:15.680 You know, we go after everybody on the left in politics.

00:35:18.280 As a matter of the law, it seems like this merits an investigation.

00:35:22.100 More generally, conservatives need to be on the offensive.

00:35:25.980 We need to put the Democrats on their toes.

00:35:28.220 The best defense is a good offense.

00:35:31.500 Now, the Trump team is doing a good job of this.

00:35:37.480 I hope they keep it up because it's a good start.

00:35:40.080 President Trump almost certainly won't be removed from office.

00:35:42.280 The odds of that are extremely low.

00:35:44.400 But this could drag on for weeks and weeks and weeks, and who knows what that will mean for 2020.

00:35:49.180 In politics, anything happens.

00:35:51.420 Speaking of 2020 and speaking of blowing it, Pete Buttigieg is absolutely collapsing in his campaign.

00:35:57.880 He was once the bright young star.

00:35:59.680 He was the one surging.

00:36:00.840 He had all the momentum.

00:36:01.980 That momentum has kind of cratered at this point.

00:36:04.480 Bernie Sanders is at the top of the polls in Iowa and New Hampshire, multiple polls.

00:36:09.260 Pete Buttigieg appears to be deflating, just like Elizabeth Warren.

00:36:13.200 It just seems like he's not ready for prime time.

00:36:15.440 A great example of this, he was asked in a town hall the other night by a pro-life Democrat.

00:36:21.620 If he would welcome her into the party.

00:36:24.740 And he danced around the question and he wouldn't give a straight answer.

00:36:28.260 And he basically said, yeah, no, of course we can agree to disagree as long as you agree with me.

00:36:33.420 And this woman who asked the question wouldn't let him get away with it.

00:36:36.580 She said, this Democratic Party platform specifically excludes pro-life Democrats like me.

00:36:44.900 Would you represent a Democratic Party that makes room and includes pro-lifers like me?

00:36:51.820 Or are you going to just absolutely exclude my views on abortion, my views as a woman, my views as somebody who thinks we should protect life?

00:37:01.220 And Pete Buttigieg says, absolutely, you're out of the party.

00:37:04.100 The Democratic platform contains language that basically says that we don't belong, we have no part in the party.

00:37:11.360 Because it says abortion should be legal up to nine months, the government should pay for it.

00:37:15.200 And there's nothing that says that people have a diversity of views on this issue should be included in the party.

00:37:21.380 In 1996 and several years after that, there was a language in the Democratic platform that said that we understand that people have very differing views on this issue.

00:37:31.160 But we are a big tent party that includes everybody.

00:37:34.280 And so therefore, we welcome you, people like me, into the party so we can work on issues that we agree on.

00:37:39.740 So my question was, would you be open to language like that in the Democratic platform that really did say that our party is diverse and inclusive and we want everybody?

00:37:51.560 Well, I support the position of my party that this kind of medical care needs to be available to everyone.

00:37:59.380 And I support the Roe versus Wade framework that holds that early in pregnancy, there are very few restrictions and late in pregnancy, there are very few exceptions.

00:38:09.620 And again, the best I can offer is that we may disagree on that very important issue.

00:38:14.540 And hopefully we will be able to partner on other issues.

00:38:19.720 Terrible answer, regardless of your views of abortion.

00:38:22.580 Absolutely terrible answer and a terrible look.

00:38:24.860 Look, you know, the Democratic Party is always projecting.

00:38:30.420 So they always, because they're so obsessed with race, they call everyone else racists. 0.98

00:38:35.000 And because they're so obsessed with sex, they call everybody else sexists. 0.95

00:38:39.620 They have a problem in this election cycle, which is that they've already kicked out all of the racial minority candidates. 0.98

00:38:45.740 So now it's just a bunch of white people. 0.81

00:38:47.860 Not a good look. 1.00

00:38:48.800 Makes them look pretty hypocritical on racial issues. 0.67

00:38:50.920 They've got another issue here, which just from a visual perspective is not a great look for Democrats. 0.85

00:38:59.000 You've got this guy, Pete Buttigieg, telling this woman, who's a Democrat, that she's no longer welcome in the party because she opposes abortion.

00:39:12.040 But the Democrats' whole argument on abortion is that in order to support women, you have to be pro-abortion, that all women love abortion, that women's rights are now actually just a synonym for abortion, according to the modern left.

00:39:27.540 And yet, here's this woman, right, who says, actually, actually, Mayor Pete, I know that you think you're going to speak for all the women, but I'm a woman and I oppose abortion.

00:39:39.440 So that's okay, right?

00:39:41.140 And he says, absolutely not.

00:39:42.480 You're out of the party.

00:39:43.360 You are not in my party.

00:39:44.520 You do not speak for women. 0.97

00:39:45.960 I speak for women.

00:39:46.840 Me, Pete Buttigieg, not you, a woman. 1.00

00:39:49.400 Just a dumb answer. 0.99

00:39:50.480 He should have known better than that. 0.99

00:39:52.020 He's a pretty slick young politician, but it's just a reminder.

00:39:55.420 He's not ready for prime time.

00:39:56.660 And he's not ready on the sexual issues.

00:39:59.100 He's not really ready either in terms of relating to ordinary people.

00:40:04.900 He just doesn't have it.

00:40:06.500 So very few politicians actually watch sports, but a lot of them try to talk about sports disingenuously because they think that that's a good way to relate to the common man.

00:40:15.980 And so Pete Buttigieg was asked about the death of Kobe Bryant, that tragic helicopter crash.

00:40:21.300 And Pete Buttigieg said, oh, well, you know, it was just so well.

00:40:25.500 He'll be remembered for what he did on the field as well as what he did off the field.

00:40:30.760 Because apparently Pete Buttigieg doesn't realize Kobe Bryant plays basketball, which is not played on a field.

00:40:35.740 Here he is.

00:40:36.320 There are millions of people, not just in Los Angeles, but around the world right now, mourning because they were inspired by what he did on the field, what he meant off the field.

00:40:47.340 So either Pete Buttigieg doesn't know that Kobe Bryant played basketball, and I got to at least hope that that Buttigieg knows that Kobe played basketball, or he just doesn't know anything about basketball because he thinks it's played on a field rather than a court.

00:41:03.440 But you got to know these things, okay, or you got to not pretend to know these things.

00:41:10.800 You got to not pretend.

00:41:12.380 I mean, the pandering is just so tedious when it comes to Buttigieg.

00:41:17.820 We don't know who this guy is.

00:41:18.920 He's a completely new figure on the national scene, and the mask is slipping a little bit.

00:41:25.040 He's changing his views.

00:41:27.100 He's a radical one day.

00:41:28.240 He's a moderate the other day.

00:41:29.520 He's the everyman one day.

00:41:30.940 He's this elite moralist who's going to preach to you on the other day.

00:41:35.620 He just doesn't know who he is.

00:41:36.800 He's just not ready for prime time.

00:41:38.940 And that actually gets to a story coming out from Washington Post and ABC News.

00:41:42.760 There's a new poll that was released on Monday, released yesterday, found that President Trump is now in a better position against nearly every 2020 Democratic competitor as a result of impeachment and the impeachment trial now.

00:41:58.840 And possibly the impeachment vote.

00:42:01.660 So the conclusion that all of these political analysts are reaching is that impeachment has been good for Trump.

00:42:08.960 And that's why Trump is doing better against all the Democrats now, which may well be true. 0.85

00:42:13.760 I think probably impeachment has been good for Trump.

00:42:15.560 But the part that all of the political analysts are ignoring is the Democratic candidates themselves.

00:42:23.140 Because the other thing that's happened in the past few months, other than the impeachment trial, is that we've gotten to see a lot more of these Democratic candidates.

00:42:34.760 And I strongly suspect the more we see of these candidates, the less we like them.

00:42:41.500 The less everybody likes them.

00:42:42.980 The less the Democratic primary voters like them.

00:42:45.500 The Democratic primary voters seem pretty demoralized.

00:42:50.320 You see this from guys like Van Jones, Democratic analyst, who says, gosh, the people who show up to these debates are not ready to beat Donald Trump.

00:43:01.300 You know, the more we see of Buttigieg, the worse his numbers get.

00:43:04.200 The same is true of Warren.

00:43:05.820 The same is true of Joe Biden, even.

00:43:08.500 Even Joe Biden.

00:43:09.240 Joe Biden's been around forever.

00:43:10.900 I mean, he's been in politics for 50 years.

00:43:12.500 But Joe Biden hasn't really been in the arena since 2008.

00:43:18.120 He ran for president in 2008.

00:43:19.760 He got knocked around a bunch.

00:43:21.440 Then he got a really soft, easy job under Obama.

00:43:24.080 He was the vice president.

00:43:25.480 Vice president is not a controversial position to be in.

00:43:28.320 So his approval numbers went up.

00:43:30.460 And then he didn't run in 2016.

00:43:31.960 So his approval numbers didn't get a hit.

00:43:33.360 We forgot who Joe Biden was.

00:43:35.060 And ever since he's been out on the campaign trail, his numbers keep dipping.

00:43:38.840 The only person that this isn't true of is Bernie Sanders.

00:43:41.440 Because Bernie was in the spotlight last time.

00:43:43.740 He was in the arena in 2016.

00:43:45.840 He's probably the toughest of these candidates.

00:43:47.540 And that's probably why his numbers are going up in Iowa and New Hampshire.

00:43:53.260 Turning gears from people who are approaching 80 years old, we need to go back down to the youth of the Democratic Party and the youth of the left.

00:44:01.920 There was a tweet that was sent out from David Hogg, the most prominent of the teen gun control activists.

00:44:08.940 This tweet has gone viral.

00:44:12.640 And I read it because it shows so much about the modern left.

00:44:17.600 This is the tweet.

00:44:18.540 Quote,

00:44:18.780 This is a tweet for the founders of the gun violence prevention movement, started centuries ago by almost entirely black, brown, and indigenous LGBTQ women and non-binary people that never got on the news or in most history books.

00:44:39.920 We may not know all your names, but thank you. 0.94

00:44:42.780 I actually want to defend David Hogg for a moment, but obviously that statement is ridiculous.

00:44:50.160 First of all, I don't think he's talking about getting on the news.

00:44:53.200 I don't think TV news existed centuries ago.

00:44:55.300 I'm not sure how he would know that the founders of the gun violence prevention movement were almost entirely black, brown, and indigenous LGBTQ women and non-binary people.

00:45:05.140 That seems like a really, really niche group of people to start the gun violence prevention movement, particularly considering the fact that most early gun control was actually specifically anti-black and that all of the great civil rights leaders from emancipation onward made a big point to arm themselves because they were the victims of systemic oppression.

00:45:31.800 Never mind all of that, never mind all of that, obviously it's an absurd tweet, but I want to defend David Hogg because of how absurd this tweet is.

00:45:39.760 First of all, he's a freshman in college and he doesn't know anything about anything.

00:45:45.820 Freshmen in college don't know anything.

00:45:47.740 Imagine if you were a celebrity when you were 18 years old.

00:45:51.620 This is why teenagers should not be celebrities.

00:45:53.840 Child stars tend not to turn out terribly well.

00:45:57.000 Teenagers should not be celebrities.

00:45:59.100 It is not good for them.

00:46:00.000 It's not good for anybody else.

00:46:02.760 Also, in David Hogg's defense, David Hogg is a freshman at Harvard.

00:46:07.100 He got accepted into Harvard because of his activism.

00:46:11.560 He may have learned this nonsense in a classroom at Harvard.

00:46:15.820 He'd be much more likely to learn this stuff in a classroom at Harvard than he would at a community college.

00:46:20.520 Because the halls of elite universities have become totally radicalized.

00:46:28.340 Maybe not totally.

00:46:29.640 Maybe that's extreme.

00:46:31.100 But nearly totally.

00:46:32.700 I mean incredibly radicalized and turned into tools of political ideology.

00:46:39.120 The academy is so hopelessly ideological now that facts are often abandoned in favor of political fantasies.

00:46:46.100 Like the idea that the gun violence prevention movement, whatever that is, was started by black, indigenous, LGBT, non-binary people of color in the 18th century.

00:46:56.700 I mean crazy. 0.97

00:46:57.700 Crazy.

00:47:00.060 But that's not David Hogg's fault.

00:47:01.880 Not entirely at least. 0.99

00:47:02.940 When teenagers do and say stupid things, they're just doing what teenagers do. 1.00

00:47:09.580 That's pretty much the definition of a teenager is doing and saying stupid things. 1.00

00:47:13.700 The real problem here is the teachers who teach them this nonsense in the first place. 1.00

00:47:18.140 The fact that really now the inmates are running the asylum.

00:47:21.980 Speaking of people who are behaving badly, Hunter Biden is now in even more trouble.

00:47:28.460 The New York Post just caught Hunter Biden and his pregnant wife, Melissa, tooling around Beverly Hills in a $130,000 Porsche.

00:47:37.560 This was after they finished their $90 brunch at a restaurant owned by Chef Jean-Georges, celebrity chef.

00:47:44.380 And this is before they were returning to their $3.8 million Hollywood Hills mansion that they're paying $12,000 per month for.

00:47:54.620 All while Hunter Biden is refusing to pay child support to an ex-girlfriend of his for another kid he just had out of wedlock.

00:48:05.740 I don't even mean to beat up on Hunter Biden.

00:48:09.760 He is certainly a degenerate, but he seems like a very troubled guy, and I have no interest in beating up on him.

00:48:17.720 I'll go after his father. 0.86

00:48:18.740 I don't really care about going after him.

00:48:20.840 But imagine if this were Don Jr.

00:48:22.460 Imagine if this were any Republican.

00:48:25.620 Imagine the headlines.

00:48:26.980 Imagine the politicians talking about it.

00:48:29.500 And that's how the left wins.

00:48:31.820 The left wins because they never play defense.

00:48:36.600 They always play offense.

00:48:37.760 They are always – they'll defend every absurd thing they ever say.

00:48:41.260 They will double down on every absurd thing.

00:48:43.060 They will accuse you of things that you've never done.

00:48:45.980 They'll pluck them out of thin air.

00:48:47.780 The Russia conspiracy.

00:48:49.940 Tax evasion.

00:48:51.440 This Ukraine hoax. 0.88

00:48:53.240 They'll just pluck – they're actually now impeaching the president without a crime.

00:49:01.020 Two articles of impeachment, zero crimes in them.

00:49:03.420 But they don't care because the left is always on offense, and we play it safe.

00:49:08.940 We have a great economy.

00:49:10.380 I mean record high economy.

00:49:11.940 Record low unemployment.

00:49:13.820 Record peace abroad.

00:49:15.180 The fact that we just, according to the left, waged World War III and then I guess won World War III in the killing of Soleimani with Iran retaliating in a weak way.

00:49:25.620 It ended that conflict.

00:49:28.480 Amazing stuff.

00:49:30.200 We've gotten China to concede on trade deals.

00:49:32.960 We've just – it's been so good that the 2020 election should be a blowout.

00:49:37.640 And yet it's close.

00:49:39.240 And the only reason it's close is because the left is always playing offense, and we're always playing it safe. 0.91

00:49:45.020 We are right now in 2020 looking at a race where the incumbent, very successful president, is running against an old communist, a radical liar, a small town mayor, and an empty suit whose teeth literally fall out of his mouth during debates. 0.85

00:50:01.080 And it's close. 0.83

00:50:03.200 It's close because we don't get aggressive.

00:50:05.360 And the Trump team today has signaled that they're going to get aggressive in this impeachment.

00:50:10.120 We should extend that strategy all the way through 2020, all the way through the way that we wage politics.

00:50:17.140 All right.

00:50:17.420 That's our show.

00:50:18.160 We've got a lot more to get to, but hey, we're out of time.
