The Michael Knowles Show - Ep. 543 - Don’t Let Them Distract You

00:00:00.140 A killing in Georgia has Americans at each other's throats on race, guns, and criminal justice.

00:00:07.120 But while the left gins up a fake race narrative and riles everybody up over a very sad local story,

00:00:13.940 a major national political scandal implicating the highest levels of the Obama administration goes uncovered.

00:00:20.620 How convenient is that?

00:00:22.540 Then, CBS gets caught lying about coronavirus, NBC gets caught lying about Attorney General Bill Barr,

00:00:29.200 and a reopened Georgia disproves the COVID profits of gloom and doom.

00:00:34.560 All that and more.

00:00:35.600 I'm Michael Knowles and this is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:00:44.620 What did Barack Obama know and when did he know it?

00:00:48.600 Michael Flynn, FBI spying.

00:00:52.020 What did Barack Obama know?

00:00:53.960 We'll get into some of the evidence that's been dribbling out on this because the mainstream media don't want to cover it.

00:00:59.540 This is the big point.

00:01:01.100 Okay, the mainstream media push fake news in two different ways.

00:01:05.880 The first way we're very familiar with.

00:01:08.600 They spin the stories.

00:01:10.900 They make up some of the reporting.

00:01:13.180 They exaggerate other parts of the reporting, right?

00:01:15.420 The first part is how they report the stories.

00:01:19.100 But the second part of how the left pushes fake news is actually more important than that,

00:01:24.360 and that is how they select the stories that they're going to cover.

00:01:29.560 So it's not even in how they report it.

00:01:31.720 It's in the very fact that they are reporting some stories and that they are not reporting other stories.

00:01:37.460 Case in point, great example of this is a very sad local story,

00:01:41.260 the killing of Ahmaud Arbery is the big story that blew up over the weekend.

00:01:46.480 It's got everybody at everybody's throats,

00:01:48.440 and I think pretty much everybody is missing the point,

00:01:51.680 at least as a matter of national political perspective.

00:01:55.900 What do we know about the Ahmaud Arbery shooting?

00:01:59.720 Two white guys shot and killed a black guy named Ahmaud Arbery.

00:02:04.000 The guys were tailing Arbery in a car.

00:02:07.040 This is in Georgia.

00:02:07.880 The two guys had their guns out, right?

00:02:10.560 So they were brandishing weapons.

00:02:12.780 Arbery knew that they had weapons.

00:02:14.600 There was a tussle for one of the guns, and Arbery ended up dead.

00:02:20.240 And we know all of this because one guy, a third guy, filmed it for some reason.

00:02:26.100 Actually, that does sort of play a role in how we think about the case.

00:02:29.240 But that's pretty much all that we know about it, right?

00:02:32.140 Then, predictably, left-wingers pushed this narrative that this was a modern-day lynching,

00:02:39.200 that Ahmaud was out minding his own business, out for a jog,

00:02:42.680 and these two crypto-klansmen came up and lynched him.

00:02:46.260 Then, some right-wingers pointed out that Arbery had an arrest record,

00:02:50.320 that he had been poking around a house that was an open construction site in the neighborhood,

00:02:55.740 and all of which, I guess, you know, tells us something about the left-wing narrative.

00:03:01.720 Doesn't really tell us much about the case itself, though, right?

00:03:04.400 Just because a guy has an arrest record,

00:03:06.180 just because he's poking around a house that's under construction in the neighborhood,

00:03:09.920 that doesn't justify killing him, does it?

00:03:12.720 No, I don't think any of us would say that.

00:03:15.000 So then, three questions about the incident itself.

00:03:18.160 Was it murder?

00:03:20.220 Possibly.

00:03:20.580 It was possibly murder, but I don't know that they're going to get very far,

00:03:25.140 the prosecutors, if they push this idea that it's murder.

00:03:28.300 Because if it was just murder, if these two guys were out there

00:03:31.420 trying to snipe down a black man going for a job, 0.98

00:03:34.500 they probably would have killed him sooner, wouldn't they? 1.00

00:03:36.860 They had the open shot, they were trailing him,

00:03:39.800 but they waited until he grabbed for a weapon,

00:03:42.220 and then there's this tussle that happens off-camera, and then he dies.

00:03:46.960 Is that going to stick as a murder charge?

00:03:49.180 Which? Possibly, but that's a tougher case to make.

00:03:53.000 Also, if it was murder, they probably wouldn't have filmed it, right?

00:03:56.120 That doesn't make a lot of sense.

00:03:57.540 You don't want to film yourself committing a crime on camera.

00:04:01.000 Was it manslaughter?

00:04:03.040 That seems more likely.

00:04:04.620 You know, these guys were out, they were being vigilantes,

00:04:08.520 they were following this guy who they suspected of committing a non-violent crime,

00:04:13.880 and so they didn't actually want to shoot him,

00:04:15.760 but then, you know, Arbery feels like he's pinned into a corner,

00:04:20.940 so he grabs the gun, reasonable thing to do,

00:04:23.680 and then there's this tussle, and, you know, somehow Arbery ends up dead.

00:04:29.080 That seems far more likely to me in terms of something that's going to stick for a prosecutor.

00:04:33.620 I guess the third option is, was it justified?

00:04:36.840 This seems the least likely by far to me, you know,

00:04:40.180 if the crime he's being accused of is non-violent,

00:04:43.840 and we don't even know if Arbery committed a non-violent crime,

00:04:47.220 then that wouldn't justify killing, right?

00:04:50.240 Nobody would suggest that.

00:04:52.440 Probably people think that these two guys were overstepping,

00:04:55.160 they should have waited for the police to get there.

00:04:56.620 So, probably that's not going to work.

00:04:59.000 Okay.

00:04:59.500 From a national political perspective,

00:05:02.900 none of this is the primary question.

00:05:07.060 I think most of the discussion of the Arbery killing ends there.

00:05:11.000 Was it murder?

00:05:11.620 Was it manslaughter?

00:05:12.540 Was it justified?

00:05:13.400 He had an arrest record.

00:05:15.840 None of that is the point.

00:05:18.420 Okay.

00:05:18.820 This, I actually don't really want to talk about the Arbery case.

00:05:23.400 I think the Arbery case is a local, very sad local story.

00:05:26.240 I want to talk about the fact that we're talking about the Arbery case.

00:05:31.300 Why are we talking about this?

00:05:32.620 There are 53 homicides in the United States every single day.

00:05:36.500 Why this one?

00:05:37.400 Why did this one blow up as the big news story of the weekend?

00:05:41.460 It's because it supports a left-wing race narrative.

00:05:44.860 LeBron James is the king of this.

00:05:48.300 LeBron tweets out,

00:05:49.680 we're literally hunted every day, every time.

00:05:52.500 We step foot outside the comfort of our homes. 0.99

00:05:54.480 Can't even go for a damn jog, man. 0.99

00:05:56.900 Like WTF, man. 1.00

00:05:58.720 Are you kidding me?

00:05:59.780 With like seven exclamation points and question marks.

00:06:02.920 No, man.

00:06:03.460 For real.

00:06:03.840 Are you kidding me?

00:06:05.160 Five exclamation points.

00:06:06.520 I'm sorry, Ahmad.

00:06:07.820 Rest in paradise.

00:06:08.860 And my prayers and blessings sent to the heavens above to your family.

00:06:12.340 Then it's a prayer hand.

00:06:13.840 Then it's a black power hand.

00:06:15.320 Then it's a red heart.

00:06:16.520 Hashtag stay woke.

00:06:18.120 Hashtag profiled because we are simply black.

00:06:21.020 Then two crying faces.

00:06:22.100 That's not true.

00:06:24.480 What he tweeted out is not true.

00:06:26.620 LeBron James is not hunted down every time he leaves his home.

00:06:33.880 The statistics are clear.

00:06:36.600 There is no epidemic of racist whites hunting down innocent black guys in the United States.

00:06:43.820 It doesn't happen. 0.81

00:06:45.700 You can look at the statistics.

00:06:47.220 It's not true.

00:06:48.540 On top of that, on this specific case, we know of very few people.

00:06:54.420 How many people could you imagine in this country would support the unjust killing of a man?

00:07:00.040 Very few people.

00:07:01.760 The reason stories like this get attention is because they are exceedingly rare.

00:07:06.600 So what's the takeaway here?

00:07:10.280 The takeaway is this is a very sad local story that is made into a national story to push a left-wing race narrative.

00:07:19.820 And we should not fall into the trap of encouraging that.

00:07:23.240 I almost wasn't even going to talk about this because I don't want to encourage the left making a spectacle out of these sad local stories to push a narrative.

00:07:34.900 But I think it's important because you've got to be aware when the left does it.

00:07:38.620 But every time the left is pushing some story like this, a story that is obviously very emotional, very sad, very dramatic, but again, local, not indicative of broader trends, not relevant to questions of national politics or international politics.

00:07:57.440 Every time they're doing that, it's because they don't want you to be looking at another story.

00:08:01.720 And that has never been truer than this one.

00:08:03.780 There is serious bias going on.

00:08:05.400 There's a big cover going on.

00:08:06.940 We'll get to it in one second.

00:08:08.020 First, though, I have got to thank our friends over at Bambi.

00:08:11.660 I've got to thank all of our sponsors.

00:08:13.320 We really appreciate them sticking with us in these difficult times.

00:08:16.460 And in a time of economic uncertainty, it is more important than ever to have a good HR department.

00:08:23.880 When running a business, HR issues can kill you.

00:08:27.960 Wrongful termination suits, minimum wage requirements, labor regulations, especially now that the regs are changing like every five minutes and HR manager salaries are not cheap.

00:08:37.540 You know, the average HR manager in the United States makes 70 grand a year.

00:08:42.740 Bambi, spelled B-A-M-B-E-E, was created specifically for small businesses.

00:08:47.420 You can get a dedicated HR manager, craft HR policy, maintain your compliance.

00:08:52.000 How much?

00:08:52.440 How much would you pay for that?

00:08:54.560 How about $99 a month?

00:08:56.420 I know, it seems unbelievable, but it's terrific with Bambi.

00:08:59.340 Your dedicated HR manager is available by phone, email, or real-time chat.

00:09:02.960 From onboarding to terminations, they customize your policies to fit your business.

00:09:07.940 Go to Bambi.com slash Michael right now to schedule your free HR audit.

00:09:12.720 That's Bambi.com slash Michael.

00:09:14.940 Bam, to the B-E-E dot com slash Michael.

00:09:18.060 M-I-C-H-A-E-L. 1.00

00:09:20.440 Go check it out.

00:09:23.880 Sad as the local story is, it has no significance to national politics, to broader trends.

00:09:33.660 Left-wing race hustlers are going to tell you that it does, but you can look at the statistics.

00:09:39.100 And it's a good thing that it doesn't have a relevance to broader trends, right, to national politics.

00:09:44.080 Meanwhile, though, there is another news story that has major significance for national politics,

00:09:50.440 and that one that the mainstream media don't want to cover.

00:09:53.960 That is the exoneration of Mike Flynn, the national security advisor who was brought in.

00:09:59.600 He was the first NSA under Trump, and the FBI set him up.

00:10:04.660 They tried not just to entrap him, which they did, but they tried explicitly to get him fired.

00:10:11.700 There was a major political component to all of this.

00:10:15.020 The media are working overtime to bury and rewrite this story.

00:10:19.560 So from the moment that Mike Flynn was fired, what we heard uniformly from the mainstream media,

00:10:26.000 they must have all gotten the exact same talking point sheet,

00:10:28.760 we were told that it was a conspiracy theory that they went after Flynn. 0.99

00:10:35.000 Look, Flynn was a dirty guy. 0.95

00:10:37.040 He had dirty dealings with Russia. 0.98

00:10:38.520 It was a good thing that they got him out.

00:10:41.020 And any suggestion that the FBI entrapped Flynn was a wild conspiracy theory.

00:10:48.840 President Trump and his top aides have been routinely ignoring the truth and pushing phony conspiracy theories.

00:10:57.000 The president seems to be saying that this was a case of entrapment,

00:11:01.700 that Michael Flynn was essentially pressured into lying.

00:11:05.040 What is your response?

00:11:06.260 I think that's hogwash.

00:11:07.500 You know, there are all kinds of conspiracy theories about how he was entrapped.

00:11:12.100 The FBI agents didn't do anything wrong here.

00:11:14.600 So I think that's important because there are a lot of sort of conspiracy theories.

00:11:18.360 They all work together.

00:11:19.700 And, you know, the Fox News people in the White House fuel these sort of rumors.

00:11:24.120 Do they send these around with fax machines?

00:11:25.960 They come up with these conspiracy theories and they send them around on fax machines. 0.57

00:11:29.280 They should just knock it off and realize that their ridiculous conspiracy theories are going to be knocked down. 0.86

00:11:34.120 Stop. 0.97

00:11:34.780 Stop with the conspiracy theories.

00:11:36.540 So I think that loud sound you heard at about 1230 Eastern was the sound of 10,000 conspiracy theories by the Trump defenders exploding.

00:11:45.060 The sound you hear is a million conspiracy theories exploding.

00:11:48.880 I call them the trumpets all over the country.

00:11:51.400 Their heads were blown up.

00:11:52.960 Here's another conspiracy theory that has been blown to bits.

00:11:56.740 Another conspiracy theory blown to bits.

00:11:58.940 That supercut goes on for, I think, another 40 seconds of the same exact conspiracy theory, conspiracy theory, conspiracy theory.

00:12:06.640 And in a way, they're right.

00:12:08.920 The idea that Mike Flynn was set up by the FBI was a conspiracy theory.

00:12:16.940 Trouble is, every so often, conspiracy theories are true because there are conspiracies.

00:12:22.660 And what happened to Mike Flynn was a conspiracy.

00:12:26.200 We now know it.

00:12:27.360 We saw the notes from the FBI.

00:12:30.060 They said, what is the goal here?

00:12:32.580 Why are we questioning Flynn?

00:12:34.420 Is it to get the truth?

00:12:36.280 Is it to catch him in a lie?

00:12:38.020 Or is it to get him fired?

00:12:40.520 And he's, look, Flynn is not the only one they went after.

00:12:42.740 We know that the FBI and the DOJ and what we would call the deep state of bureaucrats in the Obama administration were spying on the Trump campaign.

00:12:53.300 They were trying to undermine the Trump campaign.

00:12:55.260 And then once Trump was elected, they tried to undermine the administration in the case of Flynn successfully.

00:13:00.300 Now we know that the guy was exonerated.

00:13:03.480 The DOJ is dropping the case into Flynn entirely, right?

00:13:06.560 Total exoneration, a complete upending of it.

00:13:09.340 It was a conspiracy.

00:13:10.000 And the media were part of that conspiracy because they were covering up what was going on at the time that Flynn was fired.

00:13:17.500 And they're covering it up now, okay?

00:13:20.040 They're not running this.

00:13:21.460 They want to run sensationalized stories to get people ginned up emotionally about topics that they can control, topics that fit their narrative, not the other narrative.

00:13:31.260 That Obama, his administration was corrupt. 0.91

00:13:34.160 He's a thoroughly corrupt Chicago politician. 0.72

00:13:36.200 And by the way, this scandal might go all the way to the top of that corrupt administration.

00:13:42.400 So they were spreading lies and fake news then.

00:13:46.080 Now, now that Flynn is exonerated, the media are still trying to cover it up.

00:13:52.160 Chuck Todd, I've got to play you this clip.

00:13:53.980 Chuck Todd on NBC just aired a clip of Bill Barr, the attorney general, talking about this topic.

00:14:01.540 And he cut it in such a way that Bill Barr seems like he was saying the opposite of what he was actually saying. 0.99

00:14:09.720 And Chuck Todd is not a stupid man. 0.99

00:14:11.520 The people at NBC are actually not stupid people. 1.00

00:14:14.320 They know exactly what they're doing. 0.98

00:14:15.720 And they are trying to tell you the opposite of the true news.

00:14:18.980 We'll get to that in a second.

00:14:19.780 First, I've got to thank our friends over at Zip Recruiter.

00:14:23.060 You know, a lot of people are looking for work right now.

00:15:29.260 ZipRecruiter.com slash work together.

00:15:32.640 Go check it out right now.

00:15:35.000 Chuck Todd on NBC plays a clip of Bill Barr talking about the Flynn exoneration.

00:15:41.040 Listen to the clip.

00:15:42.860 Listen to Chuck Todd's reaction.

00:15:44.580 You brought up Bill Barr.

00:15:46.300 Peggy Noonan, I want you to listen to this Bill Barr answer to a question about what will history say about this.

00:15:53.480 Wait till you hear this answer.

00:15:54.400 Take a listen.

00:15:55.640 When history looks back on this decision, how do you think it will be written?

00:16:01.280 Well, history's written by the winner, so it largely depends on who's writing the history.

00:16:07.000 I was struck, Peggy, by the cynicism of the answer.

00:16:11.120 It's a correct answer, but he's the attorney general.

00:16:13.940 He didn't make the case that he was upholding the rule of law.

00:16:17.000 He was almost admitting that, yeah, this is a political job.

00:16:21.700 If you only saw the clip of Bill Barr that Chuck Todd played, you would agree with that, right?

00:16:26.680 The way they cut it, there's Bill Barr there.

00:16:29.240 Well, you know, history's written by the winners.

00:16:31.440 So it's almost as though history isn't objective.

00:16:35.580 It's just a matter of pure power, and we're going to win because we're corrupt.

00:16:40.040 That's the implication of the clip that Chuck Todd sang, and then Chuck Todd, right on cue,

00:16:44.900 a pretty good actor, that guy, he responds.

00:16:47.160 He says, I'm floored, Peggy Noonan, by the cynicism.

00:16:50.680 Oh, me, I thought government was so much more honest and straightforward than this,

00:16:56.360 but I'm floored by the cynicism.

00:16:57.600 Listen, I'm floored by the cynicism of Chuck Todd because that guy deceptively edited that

00:17:04.800 video clip.

00:17:05.480 That's a phrase that is truly abused in our culture, but if it ever applies, it applies

00:17:10.120 to what Chuck Todd just did because he cut that clip out of context.

00:17:13.800 He cut it before Bill Barr makes the argument that Chuck Todd says he doesn't make.

00:17:18.580 Take a listen to the whole clip.

00:17:20.460 When history looks back on this decision, how do you think it will be written?

00:17:25.700 Well, history is written by the winner, so it largely depends on who's writing the history,

00:17:32.160 but I think a fair history would say it was a good decision because it upheld the rule

00:17:38.040 of law.

00:17:38.880 It helped, it upheld the standards of the Department of Justice, and it undid what was an injustice.

00:17:46.140 This is the point Chuck Todd was trying to pretend Bill Barr didn't make.

00:17:51.260 He goes, look, this was a good decision.

00:17:53.300 This decision upheld the rule of law.

00:17:55.400 This decision upheld the standards of the Department of Justice.

00:17:58.900 Unlike what we saw happening in the previous administration, we are actually going to uphold

00:18:03.300 standards of justice.

00:18:05.600 What about that first part that Bill Barr was joking about that Chuck Todd tried to pretend

00:18:11.180 was the whole clip.

00:18:12.200 The first part was Bill Barr joking about exactly what Chuck Todd was doing to him, right?

00:18:18.100 What Bill Barr is joking about here is not that he's going to be the winner and he's going

00:18:21.080 to write the history and he's going to write out all of the sins of the Trump administration

00:18:25.280 and make it look good.

00:18:26.680 Bill Barr is joking about the fact that the news media, in particular in this country,

00:18:32.000 don't give conservatives a fair shake.

00:18:33.900 And therefore, when the history is written, when Hollywood rewrites histories, which they

00:18:38.360 do all the time, they're doing it right now in a few notable cases, then they make conservatives

00:18:44.800 look really bad and they make liberals look really good.

00:18:47.220 When many academic historians who lean left write histories, they make the conservatives look

00:18:52.080 really bad, they make the liberals look really good.

00:18:53.860 He's basically saying, look, we did this, we uncovered this, we pursued justice, we're probably

00:18:59.620 not going to get credit for it because history is written by the winners and the left

00:19:03.800 tends to win in the United States.

00:19:06.120 But regardless of how it's written, we did the right thing.

00:19:09.280 These were the standards of justice.

00:19:11.160 Chuck Todd exactly flips that.

00:19:12.680 That's what the media do all the time. 0.98

00:19:15.540 And the reason they care about this, the reason they care about what is a, at this point, what

00:19:21.700 three and a half year old issue, the firing of Mike Flynn, the reason they care about Bill

00:19:27.180 Barr, this veteran DC lawyer and attorney general, he's already served in the role before

00:19:33.780 The reason they care about all of this is, is because it touches Obama.

00:19:40.240 It touches their golden child, Barack Obama, no drama, Obama, scandal free Obama.

00:19:48.560 I mean, forget about fast and furious.

00:19:49.920 Forget about the IRS targeting Obama's political opponents.

00:19:52.600 Forget about this.

00:19:53.140 Forget about that.

00:19:53.780 Forget about the spying.

00:19:55.380 Forget about all of it, right?

00:19:56.540 No scandals at all.

00:19:57.700 They want to make his legacy look pristine and it implicates a lot of people.

00:20:03.940 Now, how do we know it implicates a lot of people?

00:20:06.300 Those of us who have been suggesting for some time now that perhaps the Obama administration

00:20:11.220 knew more than they're letting on about the spying into Donald Trump, about the undermining

00:20:15.740 of the Trump administration.

00:20:17.100 Those of us who've been suggesting maybe this goes a little bit higher in the administration

00:20:21.020 than people were letting on.

00:20:23.140 We've been called conspiracy theorists.

00:20:25.180 Well, as we just saw, maybe the biggest conspiracy theory of the last three years turns out to

00:20:31.460 have been true.

00:20:32.840 Not because conspiracy theories are true, but because conspiracies occasionally happen.

00:20:37.100 It looks like we're looking at one.

00:20:38.620 Mike Flynn's lawyer, Sidney Powell, went on Maria Bartiromo's show just a few days ago and

00:20:46.540 talked about the new evidence that is emerging with the firing.

00:20:51.260 Who made the call?

00:20:53.020 Who did it when?

00:20:54.000 Who knew about spying?

00:20:57.000 Where these meetings took place and even if some of them took place in the Oval Office.

00:21:03.360 Here's what Sidney Powell had to say.

00:21:04.940 Well, the day before, Comey had found and McCabe had found the transcripts of Flynn's call

00:21:12.780 with Kislyak, and he briefed Clapper on it immediately.

00:21:17.620 Clapper then immediately went and briefed President Obama on it.

00:21:21.660 Then they have the Oval Office meeting on the 5th.

00:21:24.760 Comey admits in his testimony that the FBI are the people that unmasked General Flynn,

00:21:29.980 our people, whatever that means.

00:21:32.300 And at the meeting on the 5th, Sally Yates was stunned because Obama mentions to her

00:21:37.560 out of the blue about the call and the transcript of the call.

00:21:41.620 So you think this goes all the way up to the top to President Obama?

00:21:45.580 Absolutely.

00:21:48.640 Who's going to be charged?

00:21:50.600 I have no idea.

00:21:52.180 That's up to John Durham and Attorney General Barr.

00:21:55.260 Now listen to that at the end, right?

00:21:58.200 Nothing new that you and I haven't known for some time now, right, that this involves a lot

00:22:03.660 of senior people.

00:22:04.260 It might go all the way up to the top.

00:22:05.480 We know that Barack Obama was very involved in these minute political decisions.

00:22:10.000 He would brag about it, right?

00:22:11.260 He would always go out there and say, I'm a better political director than my political

00:22:14.400 director.

00:22:15.600 Obama kept a very tight watch on these things.

00:22:18.240 So we knew all that.

00:22:20.980 When Maria asks, who's going to be charged?

00:22:24.640 Could we see this go all the way to the top?

00:22:27.300 Sidney Powell says, well, you'd have to ask John Durham.

00:22:29.540 And now this brings in the other side that the mainstream media are not covering.

00:22:32.900 There's a criminal investigation going on right now.

00:22:34.940 Now, there's an investigation of the investigation.

00:22:38.180 You remember, we've had three years or whatever it was, two and a half years of Russiagate

00:22:43.180 and the Mueller investigation.

00:22:46.300 And all those poor liberals were wearing shirts and said, it's Mueller time.

00:22:49.660 We're going to take out Trump because he's colluding with Russia.

00:22:52.780 He's actually a Manchurian candidate for Vladimir Putin.

00:22:55.540 You know, Donald Trump, the guy we've all known for 40 years, the famous TV show host.

00:22:59.500 And yeah, he's actually secretly a Russian spy or something. 0.99

00:23:02.120 It was always a dumb argument. 0.89

00:23:03.940 And then, you know, Mueller completed his investigation and they didn't get anything 0.98

00:23:07.760 on Trump.

00:23:09.040 After that, the attorney general appointed another guy, U.S. attorney John Durham, to start looking

00:23:16.940 into all the issues that surrounded that Mueller investigation.

00:23:21.280 That, that second investigation has been going on for some time now.

00:23:25.160 It's directly related to the events that we're talking about here.

00:23:28.060 If you think that the exoneration of Mike Flynn was the last we've heard on this topic,

00:23:33.640 you are very mistaken.

00:23:35.740 We are headed for some insane political times.

00:23:38.440 And I know because it seems like we're already living in very insane political times.

00:23:44.080 There's a reason you haven't heard about these stories on the mainstream media.

00:23:47.760 There's a reason that the mainstream media are desperate to push any other story that they

00:23:53.040 possibly can, especially these cynical, divisive stories, these local stories that they can

00:23:59.680 make into national divisive political issues.

00:24:02.680 The reason is they want to distract you.

00:24:05.360 You should not allow yourself to be distracted because for those of us who are looking at the

00:24:11.260 real story right now, it looks like the characters implicated up to and including Barack Obama are

00:24:15.940 getting real, real nervous.

00:24:17.100 Obama came out swinging against President Trump over the weekend in a leaked phone call.

00:24:22.740 Things are getting very intense between these two gentlemen and between the two political

00:24:27.680 sides of our country.

00:24:29.140 Trump came back swinging against him.

00:24:32.340 Major stories.

00:24:33.240 And there's another story the mainstream media are trying to cover up that relates to exactly

00:24:36.400 what we're living through right now in this lockdown.

00:24:38.240 We'll get to that.

00:24:38.760 But first, I've got to thank our friends over at LifeLock.

00:24:41.920 You know, there are a lot of internet scammers out there, all right?

00:24:47.920 And sometimes they get you.

00:24:49.240 You know, they get you on a fishing expedition.

00:24:51.080 You put your password in where you shouldn't put your password in.

00:24:53.200 It happens to the best of us.

00:24:54.260 It even, I'm ashamed to admit, happens to me.

00:24:58.440 In a recent study, researchers revealed a substantial rise in the number of cyber attacks

00:25:02.000 performed by websites posing as Netflix, especially these days.

00:25:06.220 That's kind of nuts, right?

00:25:07.320 Scammers are focusing more attention on people streaming content during this stay-at-home

00:25:11.780 era. 0.98

00:25:13.240 Nobody ever accused these criminals of being dumb, okay? 0.99

00:25:16.040 They're pretty sharp guys. 0.96

00:25:17.320 And the hackers are shifting their resources away from targeting businesses and toward activities

00:25:21.560 that can reach us directly in our homes.

00:25:23.600 On average, over 2,600 coronavirus-related cyber attacks occur each day.

00:25:28.600 Good thing there's LifeLock, which is a leader in identity theft protection.

00:25:32.100 Detects a wide range of identity threats, like your social security number for sale on the

00:25:35.680 dark web, for instance.

00:25:37.320 No one can prevent all identity theft or monitor all transactions at all businesses.

00:25:40.980 But LifeLock can see threats that you might miss on your own if you're just monitoring

00:25:45.040 your credit.

00:26:04.280 A lot of it going up to Barack Obama.

00:26:05.880 You can hear the man's own words.

00:26:07.240 You know, until I hear Barack Obama again, I always forget what a drag his presidency was,

00:26:12.760 what a terrible president he was, and then I'm reminded of that.

00:26:15.940 Well, dark days may be ahead for Barack Obama because he got a pass from the mainstream media

00:26:21.680 for a long time, but now it looks as though some consequences are coming down the pike.

00:26:27.880 Then Georgia looks like it's reopening, and you haven't heard a whole lot about that.

00:26:33.520 I wonder why.

00:26:34.160 We'll get to why.

00:26:35.480 A lot more fake news.

00:26:37.300 We'll get to that in a second, but first, I want to take a moment to thank you, and I

00:26:42.120 want to tell you about Daily Wire's newest, most exclusive membership tier, the All Access

00:27:37.180 They're turning up the heat on Barack Obama and you can see that the former president

00:27:53.660 is sweating.

00:27:54.480 He came out swinging against President Trump over the weekend in a leaked phone call that

00:28:00.500 he was having with his supporters, talking specifically about the Flynn exoneration.

00:28:05.320 The news over the last 24 hours, I think, has been somewhat downplayed about the Justice

00:28:16.540 Department dropping charges against Michael Flynn.

00:28:21.100 And the fact that there is no precedent that anybody can find for someone who's been charged

00:28:31.580 with perjury just getting off scot-free.

00:28:38.920 That's the kind of stuff where you begin to get worried that basic, not just institutional

00:28:50.960 norms, but our basic understanding of rule of law is at risk.

00:29:02.960 So what he's saying is not true for a few reasons.

00:29:05.700 He's starting to get worried, obviously, but he says there's no precedent for someone who's

00:29:09.900 been charged with perjury to get off scot-free.

00:29:12.900 I wonder if Barack Obama's ever heard of a guy named Bill Clinton.

00:29:16.860 Excuse me, Mr. Obama, have you ever heard about your Democratic predecessor, Bill Clinton?

00:29:23.080 Because I'm pretty sure he perjured himself and I'm pretty sure he got off scot-free for

00:29:27.020 it.

00:29:28.860 He's trying to focus on this question of lying.

00:29:31.920 Mike Flynn lied and he's getting off scot-free.

00:29:33.980 It's never happened before.

00:29:35.700 If he was entrapped by your goons, okay, if you think there's no precedent for Mike Flynn

00:29:43.580 to get entrapped, then to make a slight mistake, then to have the FBI use that to try to get

00:29:50.920 him fired, their words, not mine.

00:29:53.720 Is there any precedent for a sitting US president weaponizing his law enforcement arms to undermine

00:30:01.980 an incoming presidential administration?

00:30:03.960 Is there any precedent for that?

00:30:05.160 I don't think so.

00:30:05.940 I think there is precedent for guys being entrapped by the FBI.

00:30:09.720 I don't think there's precedent for you weaponizing your administration, your deep state, your law

00:30:19.180 enforcement arms to undercut a political opponent and your successor in the White House.

00:30:26.780 That's what there's no precedent for.

00:30:29.100 It's why we're in uncharted territory in this case.

00:30:31.840 It's why we don't know what's going to happen.

00:30:33.700 When we ask, what did Barack Obama know and when did he know it?

00:30:36.360 The implication is that this could involve Barack Obama in some pretty dark stuff.

00:30:44.200 What do we do with that?

00:30:45.260 We don't want to start throwing former presidents in jail, but we do want people to be held accountable

00:30:49.640 for abusing their power, which it certainly would appear that senior Obama administration

00:30:54.160 officials did.

00:30:55.640 President Trump responded to Obama's attacks on him.

00:31:00.580 He just tweeted out one word, Obamagate.

00:31:03.780 And by the way, I checked this morning, I think it was trending at 2.6 million tweets

00:31:08.240 or something like that.

00:31:09.100 And then you look and Twitter tries to reduce the number of tweets.

00:31:11.580 So then two hours later you look and it says 2.1 million tweets.

00:31:15.060 You say, hold on, wait, there are fewer tweets now about it than there were 12 hours ago.

00:31:18.580 Trump wasn't happy to leave it at the one tweet.

00:31:21.900 He was asked about what's going, what was going on in the Obama administration. 0.98

00:31:25.800 He was asked about Mike Flynn and he used the phrase human scum to describe those top 0.98

00:31:31.280 Obama officials. 0.78

00:31:32.340 Could we get your reaction to some breaking news?

00:31:34.840 The Justice Department has decided to dismiss the case against Michael Flynn.

00:31:39.020 Are you aware of that?

00:31:39.980 I didn't know that was happening at this moment.

00:31:42.760 I felt it was going to happen just by watching and seeing like everybody else does.

00:31:48.920 He was an innocent man.

00:31:51.200 He is a great gentleman.

00:31:54.480 He was targeted by the Obama administration and he was targeted in order to try and take

00:32:00.720 down a president.

00:32:02.120 And what they've done is a disgrace.

00:32:04.540 And I hope a big price is going to be paid. 0.98

00:32:06.800 And I hope a lot of people are going to pay a big price because they're dishonest, crooked 0.98

00:32:10.680 people. 1.00

00:32:11.460 They're scum. 1.00

00:32:12.380 And I say it a lot. 1.00

00:32:13.920 They're scum. 1.00

00:32:14.620 They're human scum. 1.00

00:32:15.880 This should never have happened in this country. 1.00

00:32:18.100 A duly elected president.

00:32:20.080 And they went after him by going after fine people.

00:32:22.860 And it's a disgrace.

00:32:23.940 The Obama administration Justice Department was a disgrace.

00:32:28.500 And they got caught. 0.76

00:32:30.020 They got caught.

00:32:31.080 Very dishonest people.

00:32:32.700 But much more than this.

00:32:33.980 It's treason.

00:32:34.840 It's treason.

00:32:35.860 That's a big word.

00:32:37.680 Treason is a big word.

00:32:39.880 And it has serious consequences for how this sort of thing will be prosecuted.

00:32:45.960 That's the claim coming from President Trump.

00:32:47.840 And I know that he's kind of loose with his words sometime.

00:32:50.220 I don't think he's being loose here.

00:32:51.920 I think this has been the central issue of his administration.

00:32:56.380 The central problem of his administration is that the left in this country and his predecessor has never accepted that Donald Trump got elected.

00:33:03.340 And they've been trying to undermine him the whole way.

00:33:04.760 And now it's President Trump's turn to investigate the investigators.

00:33:09.160 And it's probably not going to turn out very well for them.

00:33:12.220 The Flynn story is not the only national political story that the left is trying to cover up right now.

00:33:17.240 Another one is Georgia.

00:33:19.340 You remember how Georgia opened up, lifted the lockdown?

00:33:22.960 And we were told there were going to be deaths all on the streets.

00:33:25.540 And it was going to be terrible.

00:33:27.160 And it'll prove that we need to stay locked down forever.

00:33:31.180 It's kind of weird that we haven't heard about Georgia, right?

00:33:33.780 You would expect.

00:33:34.760 They promised us we were going to hear about Georgia.

00:33:36.440 You would expect.

00:33:36.760 Except they haven't covered it because Georgia is doing just fine.

00:33:41.100 The Republican governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp, celebrated the state's lowest number of hospitalized coronavirus patients on Saturday.

00:33:51.660 He also celebrated the fewest number of coronavirus patients on ventilators on Saturday.

00:33:56.600 That was 15 days after he started to reopen his state.

00:34:02.540 Why does that matter?

00:34:03.840 Well, it matters because the respiratory symptoms of coronavirus typically start to appear about five or six days after exposure.

00:34:10.540 It could be as early as two days after exposure.

00:34:12.820 But the longest it could be is 14 days after exposure.

00:34:16.020 So they reopen the state and things are doing fine.

00:34:20.120 And so the left isn't going to grapple with that.

00:34:25.240 These are the stories that matter, right?

00:34:27.080 When we're talking about our government, the absolutely rank corruption that was going on in the Obama administration that bled over into Trump as attacks on Trump, that's probably the biggest story.

00:34:38.380 And then when we talk about our national political situation right now, the lockdown is the biggest story.

00:34:42.200 It's a question we have to say, what do we do about this?

00:34:44.140 Are we going to remain locked down forever, shut down the global economy, keep 40 million people out of work, 50 million people out of work, let unemployment go past 20 percent, maybe to 30 percent, maybe more?

00:34:54.000 All right, that's the question.

00:34:55.980 Any evidence that supports the left's desire to remain locked down, at least through the 2020 election, is going to be pushed.

00:35:05.580 Any evidence that contradicts that narrative is going to be suppressed.

00:35:08.220 And that's what's going on in Georgia.

00:35:09.380 And we should all tweet about it.

00:35:10.560 We should all post on Facebook about it.

00:35:12.020 We should shout it from the rooftops.

00:35:13.900 Look at Georgia. 1.00

00:35:15.480 Georgia is doing relatively very well compared to other states that have remained locked down that are not doing as well.

00:35:22.400 Okay, I'm not saying that the coronavirus issue is simple.

00:35:24.860 I'm not saying lift all lockdowns right now immediately and everything's going to be fine.

00:35:28.700 Don't misunderstand me.

00:35:30.800 But what I am saying is look at all of the evidence.

00:35:35.160 Don't just look at the evidence that the left wants you to look at.

00:35:38.960 The most important media tool that the left has for pushing fake news is this story selection.

00:35:47.500 Okay, you see it again and again.

00:35:49.120 Sometimes, though, let's not go too much in that direction.

00:35:52.680 Let's not forget that sometimes one of the tools they use to push fake news is just to lie, just to outright lie.

00:35:58.560 James O'Keefe at Project Veritas showed us this last week.

00:36:01.980 James O'Keefe showed that CBS News faked a segment about coronavirus patients.

00:36:09.860 You had NBC News fake a segment about Mike Flynn, and now you have CBS News faking.

00:36:14.660 They staged a line of cars waiting to get treatment and tests for coronavirus.

00:36:21.360 It wasn't real.

00:36:23.000 The people in the cars were essentially actors.

00:36:26.020 They were employees of the pharmacy or employees of the news that were posing as coronavirus patients.

00:36:32.660 Here's James O'Keefe.

00:36:33.900 You're telling me you're 100% certain that CBS News, CBS News Corporation, National, staged a fake event.

00:36:43.600 They faked the news.

00:36:44.780 They faked the reality and broadcasted that to all of their audience last Friday on CBS This Morning.

00:36:52.560 100%, absolutely.

00:36:53.760 And, um, apparently, the news crew wanted more people in the line because they knew it was

00:37:03.760 that way.

00:37:04.560 Well, we knew when they were coming, we had no clue that we were going to have to, like,

00:37:09.480 do fake patients.

00:37:11.280 Gotcha.

00:37:12.260 Did she tell you guys, like, hey, you're not actually getting tested?

00:37:15.860 Yeah.

00:37:16.500 Yeah, yeah, she did.

00:37:17.700 She just, she just, she just, well, just to make it look busy having news because they were

00:37:22.640 right there.

00:37:25.260 That's crazy.

00:37:26.760 Well, I didn't see you guys do the swab at all.

00:37:29.380 I just saw you talking with them.

00:37:31.020 And then I was talking with the other girl.

00:37:32.320 You protected.

00:37:33.380 Yeah.

00:37:33.560 They just wanted it to look busy.

00:37:45.480 I mean, it goes on and on.

00:37:46.840 James O'Keefe talks to a lot of people here.

00:37:48.680 It seems pretty clear.

00:37:50.980 They will just lie to you.

00:37:52.300 You have to be on guard for that, too.

00:37:53.880 And so that's the more obvious way that they, they, they push their narrative.

00:37:56.940 But they do that as well.

00:37:58.680 The most important accomplishment of the Trump administration so far has not been on immigration.

00:38:04.220 It's not been on any one political issue.

00:38:06.540 It hasn't been the taxes.

00:38:07.560 It has been destroying the credibility of the media.

00:38:12.160 This is priority number one because the media are the ones who craft the whole way that we

00:38:18.500 think and talk about politics in this country from very sad local stories all the way up to

00:38:24.300 national lockdowns.

00:38:25.500 We got some good news over the past couple of weeks, which is that President Trump's new

00:38:30.180 White House press secretary, Kayla Mac, Kaylee McEnany is basically just as good at it as 0.99

00:38:36.020 Donald Trump is.

00:38:36.740 No one's quite as good at smacking down the press as Trump is, but she is really talented 0.67

00:38:40.700 at it.

00:38:41.020 She held a press briefing.

00:38:42.500 She was asked about a prior comment she'd made at some point on Fox News and she was prepared,

00:38:48.720 first of all, ready for the question.

00:38:50.340 And she flawlessly smacked these reporters down. 1.00

00:38:55.500 Kaylee, in a previous life, before you were press secretary, you worked for the campaign

00:39:00.000 and you made a comment, I believe, on Fox in which you said President Trump will not allow

00:39:05.140 the coronavirus to come to this country.

00:39:07.600 Given what has happened since then, obviously, would you like to take that back?

00:39:12.260 So this is such a setup, right? 1.00

00:39:15.200 Kaylee, I'm willing to give you the opportunity to take back that dumb, stupid thing that you 1.00

00:39:19.960 said. 1.00

00:39:20.460 So can you just admit that you're wrong and an incompetent and an idiot and we, the press, 1.00

00:39:24.740 are right and we're going to dictate how you do your job? 1.00

00:39:28.720 Loosely translated, but that's what the reporter was getting at.

00:39:31.980 Kaylee McEnany keeps her composure and then responds perfectly. 0.73

00:39:36.920 Well, first, let me note, I was asked a question on Fox Business about the President's travel

00:39:43.420 restrictions.

00:39:44.240 I noted what was the intent behind those travel restrictions, which is we will not see the

00:39:48.500 coronavirus come here.

00:39:49.840 We will not see terrorism come here, referring to an earlier set of travel restrictions.

00:39:53.820 I guess I would turn the question back on the media and ask similar questions.

00:39:57.600 Does Vox want to take back that they proclaim that the coronavirus would not be a deadly pandemic?

00:40:02.820 Does the Washington Post want to take back that they told Americans to get a grip the flu is

00:40:08.020 bigger than the coronavirus?

00:40:09.360 Does the Washington Post likewise want to take back that our brains are causing us to exaggerate

00:40:14.280 the threat of the coronavirus?

00:40:16.340 Does the New York Times want to take back that fear of the virus may be spreading faster than

00:40:21.700 the virus itself?

00:40:23.040 Does NPR want to take back that the flu was a much bigger threat than the coronavirus?

00:40:26.860 And finally, once again, the Washington Post, would they like to take back that the government

00:40:30.720 should not respond aggressively to the coronavirus?

00:40:33.760 I'll leave you with those questions and maybe you'll have some answers in a few days.

00:40:37.820 How about you guys answer, you reporters?

00:40:39.980 Actually, as she walks out of the room, you can hear one of them say, you were prepared

00:40:42.680 for that.

00:40:43.340 Like, yeah, she was.

00:40:45.360 Professionals prepare.

00:40:46.460 I don't think that the press were prepared for that themselves.

00:40:51.880 The silver lining, I don't want to leave you without hope here.

00:40:54.540 The silver lining on all of this with the press ganging up against you, trying to divide

00:40:58.940 Americans, trying to get them to focus on the shiny object in the corner rather than 0.97

00:41:04.320 the rank corruption that is before their eyes that they're implicated in.

00:41:08.280 The silver lining is sometimes the press are their own worst enemy.

00:41:11.440 Sometimes the press undercut their own argument.

00:41:13.300 And I saw this on the Today Show on NBC.

00:41:17.060 They were doing a segment on the Today Show on the Gerber baby, right?

00:41:20.700 This is so, such a soft, fluffy segment.

00:41:24.180 How could this have national political import?

00:41:25.960 NBC News, the whole left-wing media apparatus, right?

00:41:30.600 Completely gung-ho behind abortion.

00:41:32.560 Always talking about abortion as women's health care, women's rights, the war on women, if 0.99

00:41:36.800 you ever try to protect little babies.

00:41:38.500 So they do a segment on the Gerber baby, no big deal.

00:41:41.140 And you have a family that has this adopted baby.

00:41:44.180 So the new Gerber baby is this little black girl and the family is a white family.

00:41:48.780 So it's pretty, pretty clear from the outset that the baby is adopted.

00:41:52.060 And I guess NBC just didn't think about the implications of doing a story that's all focused

00:41:57.960 on adoption.

00:41:59.380 Listen to the way that NBC allows a wonderful pro-life message to get out on network television.

00:42:05.800 Courtney, you entered Magnolia into the running because your family story is a really important

00:42:10.360 one that you wanted to share.

00:42:11.500 Can you explain why that is?

00:42:12.580 Yeah, obviously our family was built through adoption and we celebrate adoption in our

00:42:22.040 family every single day.

00:42:24.100 And, you know, the real hero in this story are Magnolia's birth parents.

00:42:31.140 They chose her life and they sent her on this incredible journey.

00:42:37.800 And I was able to speak with them yesterday and share with them what was going on today and

00:42:45.700 what was happening.

00:42:47.720 And if you could hear the joy in their voice and how proud they are of this little girl

00:42:57.460 and they're watching right now and love them so much.

00:43:05.080 Oh, what a great story.

00:43:07.560 If NBC only knew that this was the way it was going to go, they never would have aired it,

00:43:11.980 right?

00:43:12.140 Because right now what the left is trying to do is push a message of racial division based

00:43:17.960 on sensationalizing a sad local story and trying to pretend that this has implications for the

00:43:22.900 broader politics that we're in some sort of epidemic of racial killing of white guys, 1.00

00:43:28.860 racist whites, killing black guys, hunting them down on the street. 1.00

00:43:32.040 You know, basically they're just hiding their clan hoods, right? 1.00

00:43:34.500 And this is not worn out by the statistics.

00:43:36.860 It is not happening.

00:43:38.140 But that's the story they're trying to do because they want to keep Americans divided

00:43:40.840 and angry and focused on things that let them off the hook.

00:43:46.360 And then they accidentally allow this story through, which is a story of wonderful racial

00:43:52.560 harmony, right?

00:43:53.920 Of, of adoption, of coming together.

00:43:57.980 The story of, of the adoptive parents speaking to the biological parents and having them involved

00:44:04.960 in a way to say, look, you chose life for your kid and look at what a great life your kid

00:44:10.440 gets.

00:44:10.800 And the kid is like very cute baby, obviously, you know, is being selected as the Gerber baby

00:44:14.900 and she's there like bop, bop, bop, bop, you know?

00:44:16.860 And it's very, very heartwarming to watch this.

00:44:21.000 The news doesn't like to let too many of those stories get through, particularly when it undercuts

00:44:25.680 the narratives they're making about society and the arguments that they're making about

00:44:30.100 the value of human life.

00:44:31.480 But every so often, often through the media's own incompetence, one of those stories sneaks

00:44:36.760 through.

00:44:37.220 And you begin to see the truth about the country, the truth about where we are.

00:44:41.940 There's some bad actors trying to gin us up and divide us and work against us.

00:44:46.120 And those people are being exposed, not by the media, but by investigators in the DOJ.

00:44:51.160 Okay.

00:44:51.720 And the, the real truth about America though is beyond them, things are okay.

00:44:58.620 People actually get along.

00:45:00.100 We do have a love of our country, no matter how much the ideologues try to rile us up against

00:45:04.940 our country, there is this kind of abiding love.

00:45:07.420 And it's why unthinkable events like the election of Donald Trump, unthinkable events like people

00:45:16.340 coming together, those do happen even despite a press working all against us.

00:45:22.360 Stay on guard.

00:45:23.140 Don't let them distract you with the stories that they want you to focus on, with the feelings

00:45:28.000 that they want you to feel.

00:45:29.620 Keep your eyes on what is really going on because there are some interesting days ahead.

00:45:34.600 That's our show.
