00:00:37.720 Now that the Clintons are finished and Roy Moore is on the ropes,

00:00:40.700 Democrats are spewing crocodile tears over their decades of covering up sexual abuse against women.

00:00:46.780 We'll analyze their alleged repentance.

00:00:49.440 Then, Amelia Hamilton, Jacob Berry, and Candace Owens join the panel of deplorables 1.00

00:00:53.960 to discuss that insufferable millennial card game, Cards Against Humanity,

00:00:58.400 and its vow to subvert immigration law,

00:01:00.840 the ironically named global atheist convention, Reason to Hope,

00:01:04.820 being canceled because no one wants to go,

00:01:07.000 and the poetic diction of President Trump's latest tweets.

00:01:10.400 I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:01:12.200 Oh, we got a new vintage for the Leftist Tears Tumblr.

00:01:22.800 We have a new vintage coming out this week.

00:01:24.980 It is the Crocodile Tears Vintage.

00:01:27.420 We haven't seen these in a very long time,

00:01:29.720 but they are pouring out the likes of which we have not seen in a while.

00:01:33.500 I need to subscribe a few more times just to contain them.

00:01:36.420 Every Democrat across the spectrum is pouring out crocodile tears

00:01:41.180 now that the Clintons are no longer useful.

00:01:43.500 They can say, ah, well, yeah, Bill wasn't so nice to women,

00:01:46.420 and yeah, well, Hillary intimidated all of his victims 1.00

00:01:48.860 and smeared them in the press and ruined their lives.

00:01:51.520 But yeah, we shouldn't have done that,

00:01:52.960 but hey, we've changed now because Roy Moore is on the ropes.

00:01:55.620 Just for context, let's look at a Bill Clinton accuser

00:01:58.880 and alleged rape victim, Juanita Broderick.

00:02:01.380 Then he tries to kiss me again.

00:02:04.960 And the second time he tries to kiss me,

00:02:07.940 he starts biting on my lip.

00:02:13.880 Just a minute.

00:02:17.600 He starts to bite on my top lip,

00:02:21.980 and I try to pull away from him.

00:02:27.300 And then he forces me down on the bed.

00:02:31.380 And I just was very frightened.

00:02:36.120 And I tried to get away from him,

00:02:38.040 and I told him no.

00:02:42.360 And I didn't want this to happen.

00:02:47.540 He wouldn't listen to me.

00:02:50.980 Did you resist?

00:02:52.740 Did you tell him to stop?

00:02:54.700 Yes.

00:02:55.380 I told him, please don't.

00:02:56.780 He was such a different person at that moment. 0.99

00:03:02.080 He was just a vicious, awful person. 0.76

00:03:05.560 Is there any way at all 0.73

00:03:08.340 that Bill Clinton could have thought this was consensual?

00:03:12.060 No.

00:03:13.120 Not with what I told him

00:03:14.540 and with how I tried to push him away.

00:03:17.560 It was not consensual.

00:03:20.520 Do you know how the Clinton campaign

00:03:21.760 and the Clinton machine tried to explain this at the time?

00:03:24.920 And they said, I think it was James Carville said this,

00:03:26.880 well, you drag a $100 bill through a trailer park,

00:03:29.020 you see what happens.

00:03:30.100 That's how he explains away all of these accusers,

00:03:32.940 like Juanita Broderick.

00:03:34.240 Well, the tune has changed today.

00:03:36.440 I wonder what's different now.

00:03:37.380 I wonder what's different now in 2017

00:03:39.300 than it was when Bill Clinton

00:03:41.120 and the Clinton machine

00:03:42.040 was a force in democratic politics.

00:03:44.040 Hmm, I wonder what it could be.

00:03:45.380 The Atlantic ran a headline,

00:03:46.660 Bill Clinton, a reckoning.

00:03:48.140 They wrote, quote,

00:03:48.760 If Weinstein and Mark Halperin and Louis C.K.

00:03:51.340 and all the rest can be held accountable,

00:03:53.120 so can our former president

00:03:54.360 and so can his party,

00:03:55.600 which so many Americans

00:03:56.580 so desperately need to rise again.

00:03:59.320 There it is.

00:04:00.100 There's the whole argument.

00:04:01.140 We just desperately need the Democrats to rise again,

00:04:04.360 and that's why we're willing to do it.

00:04:05.880 At least the Atlantic was honest

00:04:07.600 about their motives

00:04:08.760 for kicking Bill to the curb 1.00

00:04:11.620 and admitting that there are horrible hypocrites 0.98

00:04:13.660 over this issue for 20 years, 30 years. 0.86

00:04:15.360 Matt Iglesias at Vox was not so honest.

00:04:19.120 He said, quote,

00:04:19.880 What he did to Monica Lewinsky was wrong,

00:04:21.840 and he should have to pay the price.

00:04:23.280 He should have paid the price.

00:04:24.640 At the time, I, like most Americans,

00:04:26.980 was glad to see Clinton prevail

00:04:28.480 and regarded the whole sordid matter

00:04:29.960 as primarily the fault

00:04:31.320 of congressional Republicans'

00:04:32.680 excessive scandal-mongering.

00:04:34.620 Now, looking back after the election of Donald Trump,

00:04:37.260 the revelations of massive sexual harassment at Fox,

00:04:40.220 the news stories about Harvey Weinstein

00:04:42.060 and others in the entertainment industry,

00:04:43.460 and the stories about Roy Moore's pursuit

00:04:45.860 of sexual relationships with teenagers,

00:04:48.180 I think we got it wrong.

00:04:49.380 Oh, do you now?

00:04:50.200 Do you now?

00:04:51.120 That's convenient timing, isn't it?

00:04:52.980 Well, at the time, I was thrilled

00:04:54.220 that they brushed all of this under the rug,

00:04:56.740 but now we could use it against Republicans.

00:04:58.840 Now we got Donald Trump.

00:05:00.360 There are some allegations against him

00:05:01.620 from random people.

00:05:02.900 There are obviously the allegations against Roy Moore.

00:05:05.280 So, mm, I think I've changed my tune now.

00:05:07.040 And do I have to protect Bill Clinton anymore?

00:05:08.440 No, I don't.

00:05:08.860 Is Hillary going to run again? 1.00

00:05:10.120 Probably, but she's useless. 1.00

00:05:11.240 Okay, good. 0.99

00:05:11.760 Now we can move on.

00:05:13.460 Jake Tapper.

00:05:14.980 Jake Tapper, we should play this clip first.

00:05:18.680 This is Jake Tapper just within the last few days

00:05:21.620 talking about Bill Clinton,

00:05:23.340 the Juanita Broderick affair in light of Roy Moore.

00:05:26.120 Maybe it's, you know something,

00:05:27.520 and maybe it's the Southern accent

00:05:29.080 that reminds me of this,

00:05:30.700 but I think we are,

00:05:32.700 and we've seen some of this in the press.

00:05:34.780 There was a story in The Atlantic

00:05:36.340 called Bill Clinton, A Reckoning.

00:05:37.980 Chris Hayes said something the other day,

00:05:41.260 and other people have.

00:05:42.860 But the accusers of Bill Clinton back in the 90s

00:05:46.580 were never given the credence

00:05:48.940 and treated with the same respect

00:05:51.300 that these women are being treated.

00:05:53.440 And I think that there is something to be said

00:05:56.460 about how society has evolved since then.

00:05:58.720 But in addition,

00:05:59.660 it's hard not to look back at that period

00:06:01.700 and think, you know what,

00:06:02.940 the media treated those women poorly. 0.91

00:06:05.380 Yeah, without a doubt.

00:06:06.780 You can't rewrite history,

00:06:08.020 but what I am concerned about now

00:06:09.480 is that I see a lot of Republicans,

00:06:11.340 people like Ann Coulter on Twitter,

00:06:13.540 going back and bringing up people

00:06:15.580 like Senator Kennedy, Clinton,

00:06:18.160 other people that did have previous acts

00:06:20.200 of sexual misconduct,

00:06:22.400 almost as a way of saying,

00:06:23.600 well, they did it.

00:06:24.380 We can too.

00:06:26.140 Well, you can't rewrite history.

00:06:27.760 That's what she said.

00:06:28.460 Well, you can't rewrite history.

00:06:30.040 What can you say?

00:06:30.560 But let's talk about more Republicans.

00:06:32.300 Yeah, well, I know, Jake,

00:06:33.480 you brought up Bill Clinton,

00:06:34.620 but look, you can't rewrite history.

00:06:36.260 Isn't that right?

00:06:37.100 Now, good on Tapper for bringing this up, I guess.

00:06:39.540 But again, this timing is just so absurd

00:06:42.240 that it's really hard for me to take him seriously.

00:06:45.200 He wrote a piece, by the way,

00:06:46.280 during the biggest Clinton scandal,

00:06:47.940 Monica Lewinsky. 1.00

00:06:48.740 He wrote a piece for Washington City Paper

00:06:50.580 titled, I Dated Monica Lewinsky. 0.99

00:06:52.760 He went on a date with her, I guess.

00:06:54.040 He said, quote,

00:06:55.060 Physically, she was pleasant

00:06:56.240 without being overwhelming.

00:06:57.760 She's a little chubby, 0.93

00:06:58.860 but she's leaps and bounds prettier

00:07:00.520 than that vacuous mugshot

00:07:02.120 beamed all over the world.

00:07:04.500 And I will say,

00:07:05.140 he does sort of defend her in that piece,

00:07:07.040 but he trotted her out

00:07:08.520 for a good tabloid article in that paper

00:07:10.840 when he was just a young reporter,

00:07:12.460 just like everybody else.

00:07:13.740 And he's had this epiphany,

00:07:15.560 the epiphany that,

00:07:16.500 oh, we should have been harder on Bill Clinton,

00:07:18.240 just right after the Clintons

00:07:19.980 are no longer useful to them,

00:07:21.280 and it would benefit Democrats

00:07:23.320 to sweep them under the rug.

00:07:24.760 Because Jake Tapper,

00:07:26.000 par excellence in recent years,

00:07:28.180 flacks for Democrats.

00:07:29.640 In the New York Times,

00:07:30.840 Michelle Goldberg,

00:07:31.900 an op-ed columnist,

00:07:33.180 wrote a piece called, quote,

00:07:35.060 I believe Juanita.

00:07:36.700 Now, she actually goes further in this piece

00:07:38.720 than her co-partisans,

00:07:40.140 and she defends the Democrats at the time.

00:07:43.300 But she says there were plenty of reasons

00:07:45.480 to disbelieve Paula Jones,

00:07:47.460 some of the accusers, et cetera.

00:07:49.000 But nevertheless,

00:07:50.280 we should throw Bill under the bus now

00:07:51.660 because he isn't useful to us anymore.

00:07:53.460 It isn't just Bill Clinton, though.

00:07:55.300 Democrat, anti-Trump fanatic,

00:07:57.160 Louis C.K. has gone down.

00:07:58.620 Anthony Weiner, very famously,

00:07:59.900 has gone down.

00:08:01.120 Bizarrely, Jon Stewart was good friends,

00:08:03.040 even a roommate, with both of them.

00:08:04.840 Here is Jon Stewart talking about Louis C.K.,

00:08:07.120 his good pal.

00:08:07.660 Your good friend and colleague,

00:08:09.440 Louis C.K.,

00:08:10.240 has been accused of

00:08:11.880 and has admitted to

00:08:13.040 some lewd acts involving women.

00:08:16.020 What was the impact on you

00:08:17.220 when you heard not only the accusations,

00:08:19.920 but his admission?

00:08:22.400 Um,

00:08:24.640 stunned, I think.

00:08:27.300 Is that right?

00:08:27.960 That's right.

00:08:28.520 What is your,

00:08:29.600 hey, Jon,

00:08:30.160 so I'm going to put you on the spot

00:08:31.020 with your good friend of decades,

00:08:32.740 whom you know very well.

00:08:34.240 And you actually were asked this question last year,

00:08:36.580 and you decided to punt on it.

00:08:37.960 What happened when you found out 0.99

00:08:39.600 that he's a sexual pervert? 1.00

00:08:42.060 Uh, 1.00

00:08:42.780 stunned.

00:08:43.860 Yeah,

00:08:44.080 that's the ticket.

00:08:44.920 Yeah, yeah, yeah.

00:08:45.620 No, that's the ticket.

00:08:46.320 I was completely stunned.

00:08:47.780 Give me a break.

00:08:49.360 There is this weird thing with Stewart, too,

00:08:51.020 because he's famously been good friends

00:08:52.580 with Louis C.K. for a very long time.

00:08:54.700 He obviously knew about this.

00:08:56.160 If everyone else knew about this,

00:08:57.980 his good buddy Jon Stewart knew about this.

00:08:59.920 But he also was roommates with Anthony Weiner.

00:09:02.580 So when the first,

00:09:03.440 when Andrew Breitbart

00:09:04.680 broke the Anthony Weiner sexting scandal,

00:09:07.960 or tweeting scandal,

00:09:09.520 he wouldn't cover it on the show.

00:09:12.160 He wouldn't cover it for days and days and days.

00:09:14.040 And eventually he said,

00:09:14.860 well, look,

00:09:15.560 I'm pals with Anthony Weiner.

00:09:16.960 We used to live together in Hoboken,

00:09:18.460 I believe.

00:09:19.100 And eventually he had to cover it.

00:09:20.940 He was forced to,

00:09:21.540 because it was so absurd.

00:09:22.700 He wasn't covering the most salacious story

00:09:24.380 in politics.

00:09:25.420 But kind of a weird thing

00:09:26.600 that Jon Stewart is pretty tight

00:09:27.860 with both of the most extreme

00:09:31.980 sexual deviancy stories

00:09:33.460 in Democratic politics

00:09:35.120 in the last decade or two.

00:09:37.240 A little odd.

00:09:37.860 I'm not accusing him of anything,

00:09:38.960 but quite a coincidence.

00:09:40.680 Then, of course,

00:09:41.460 there's Hillary Clinton. 1.00

00:09:42.260 It all goes back to Hillary Clinton.

00:09:44.600 Hillary famously said 1.00

00:09:45.800 on the campaign trail,

00:09:47.100 all accusers should be believed.

00:09:50.420 But, of course,

00:09:51.520 she then was in charge 0.51

00:09:52.520 of the bimbo eruptions 1.00

00:09:53.460 at the White House.

00:09:54.320 She didn't believe those accusers.

00:09:55.420 She stepped in in 2010,

00:09:57.740 we've learned,

00:09:58.460 to overturn President Bush's ban

00:10:00.140 of a European Islamist,

00:10:01.880 Tariq Ramadan,

00:10:03.080 who is the grandson

00:10:04.060 of the founder

00:10:04.760 of the Muslim Brotherhood.

00:10:06.220 Bush had banned him

00:10:06.980 from the United States.

00:10:07.780 She personally stepped in

00:10:09.000 to approve his visa.

00:10:10.680 Ramadan has been accused 0.87

00:10:11.840 of rape and sexual assault

00:10:13.340 by three women 0.81

00:10:13.980 in the last 10 days.

00:10:16.020 She also publicly said

00:10:17.280 that Juanita Broderick

00:10:18.160 was not credible.

00:10:19.780 And Juanita, by the way,

00:10:20.940 says that Hillary Clinton

00:10:22.940 pressured her to stay silent. 0.98

00:10:24.580 So she said Bill raped her 0.98

00:10:26.080 and then Hillary came up to her, 1.00

00:10:27.700 pressed her hand and said,

00:10:28.760 we appreciate everything

00:10:29.560 you do for us,

00:10:30.520 and then looked into her eyes

00:10:32.400 and said,

00:10:32.900 that means everything.

00:10:34.560 I appreciate everything

00:10:35.640 that you do for us,

00:10:36.760 implying keeping quiet

00:10:38.380 about the rape.

00:10:39.580 Now, Juanita Broderick

00:10:40.760 is firmly convinced

00:10:42.300 that Hillary knew,

00:10:43.180 Hillary pressured her, 0.94

00:10:43.900 Hillary covered it up. 0.96

00:10:45.820 Democrats now

00:10:46.700 who are conveniently saying,

00:10:48.240 yes, I believe Juanita.

00:10:49.480 It took 20, 30 years,

00:10:51.260 but yeah, now I believe Juanita.

00:10:52.740 Okay, put your money

00:10:54.160 where your mouth is

00:10:54.860 because if you believe Juanita,

00:10:56.880 then you have to believe

00:10:58.120 her whole account, right?

00:10:59.580 You can't just say,

00:11:00.300 well, I believe this,

00:11:00.920 but I don't believe this.

00:11:01.680 She's trustworthy here, 0.99

00:11:02.620 but she's a liar here. 1.00

00:11:03.680 You have to give evidence for that. 0.70

00:11:05.160 If you believe Juanita,

00:11:06.640 then you believe

00:11:07.520 that Hillary Clinton

00:11:08.440 knew about the rape,

00:11:10.040 Hillary Clinton pressured her 0.99

00:11:11.500 to stay silent,

00:11:12.500 intimidated her,

00:11:13.660 and smeared other victims

00:11:15.380 of Bill Clinton.

00:11:16.140 And if you're willing to do that,

00:11:17.340 then look at yourself

00:11:18.080 in the mirror

00:11:18.540 and ask what changed?

00:11:19.960 What made you believe Juanita?

00:11:21.220 Because you voted for the woman. 0.58

00:11:22.640 You did everything

00:11:23.940 within your power

00:11:24.840 to put her into the White House 0.98

00:11:26.760 just 12 months ago.

00:11:28.880 Very convenient timing

00:11:30.040 from Democrats.

00:11:30.840 I'm not buying a bit of it.

00:11:32.120 For further analysis,

00:11:33.400 we bring on

00:11:33.960 our panel of deplorables.

00:11:35.800 We have an excellent panel today.

00:11:37.360 Candace Owens,

00:11:38.140 Jacob Berry,

00:11:38.840 Amelia Hamilton.

00:11:40.060 Thank you for being here.

00:11:40.820 Amelia, your first time

00:11:41.580 on the panel.

00:11:42.280 Appreciate it.

00:11:43.580 Candace,

00:11:44.500 you have been red-pilled.

00:11:46.160 That's your name.

00:11:47.040 That's your screen name

00:11:47.660 on the internet.

00:11:49.080 So this sort of thing

00:11:49.920 can happen.

00:11:50.460 People can change their minds

00:11:51.400 on plenty of things.

00:11:52.580 Is there any chance

00:11:53.740 that this change of heart

00:11:55.420 is earnest

00:11:56.100 or is it just

00:11:57.000 totally cynical nonsense?

00:11:59.200 It's absolutely not earnest.

00:12:00.940 And in that clip

00:12:01.680 that you just showed,

00:12:02.620 it's just proof of that

00:12:03.540 because they're almost

00:12:05.100 throwing it back

00:12:05.800 on conservatives.

00:12:06.860 They hate when a mirror

00:12:07.920 is held up to them.

00:12:08.940 They're throwing it back

00:12:09.500 on conservatives.

00:12:10.320 Well, how dare conservatives

00:12:12.000 say this or say that

00:12:13.500 because they are being called out 0.98

00:12:15.060 on their hypocrisy.

00:12:16.240 And if it was at all genuine, 0.56

00:12:18.180 then you're going to have

00:12:18.800 to explain to me

00:12:19.520 why they just tried

00:12:20.560 very seriously

00:12:21.540 to put Bill Clinton

00:12:22.580 back in the White House.

00:12:24.440 Right.

00:12:24.960 That's exactly it.

00:12:26.020 It's so recent.

00:12:27.680 And the saying,

00:12:28.740 well, we can't blame Hillary. 1.00

00:12:29.980 No.

00:12:30.280 If you believe Juanita,

00:12:31.360 then you have to blame Hillary. 0.58

00:12:33.100 Hillary is deeply

00:12:34.540 at fault here.

00:12:36.800 Amelia,

00:12:37.220 in the 1990s,

00:12:38.680 feminists came to Bill's defense, 1.00

00:12:40.540 led by Gloria Steinem.

00:12:41.700 They defended him

00:12:42.720 because he shared

00:12:43.280 their policy priorities.

00:12:44.800 Is this such a bad thing?

00:12:47.380 Policy questions of freedom,

00:12:48.760 justice, security,

00:12:49.660 national priorities.

00:12:50.900 Should they really be derailed 0.98

00:12:52.160 because men are dogs? 0.71

00:12:54.620 I think that you can probably

00:12:55.840 find a man who isn't a dog, 0.98

00:12:57.520 who shares some of your beliefs,

00:12:59.480 who shares some of your

00:13:00.500 policy positions,

00:13:01.420 and those are probably

00:13:02.380 the men to support.

00:13:03.880 But I mean,

00:13:04.980 particularly in these moments.

00:13:07.000 So I'm,

00:13:07.920 as a man,

00:13:08.700 as someone who identifies

00:13:09.420 as a man,

00:13:09.920 I will say, 0.95

00:13:10.920 we're all dogs.

00:13:12.160 Every man is a dog. 0.98

00:13:13.120 We all fall short

00:13:13.800 of the glory of God.

00:13:14.980 And God is dog spelled backwards, 0.76

00:13:16.620 by the way.

00:13:17.000 Is that a coincidence?

00:13:17.720 I don't know.

00:13:18.740 It is not.

00:13:19.060 But in cases like these guys,

00:13:20.560 is Gloria Steinem justified?

00:13:22.440 Are Republicans in Alabama justified?

00:13:24.620 Especially in Alabama,

00:13:25.660 where you say,

00:13:26.300 all of the accusations

00:13:26.980 are 40 years ago.

00:13:28.560 They seem credible to me.

00:13:30.500 But regardless,

00:13:31.960 we're talking about

00:13:32.860 issues of freedom,

00:13:34.740 national politics,

00:13:36.000 politicians by definition 1.00

00:13:37.080 are scumbags. 1.00

00:13:38.200 Should we, 1.00

00:13:39.580 should we vote for them anyway?

00:13:40.900 Or should we allow

00:13:41.640 this personal behavior

00:13:43.420 from these dogs

00:13:44.460 to derail a political agenda?

00:13:49.500 No,

00:13:50.020 we need to have

00:13:50.520 some kind of standards.

00:13:51.920 And, you know,

00:13:52.320 this seems like a pretty,

00:13:53.520 pretty low bar

00:13:54.420 to be able to pass.

00:13:55.600 And just because

00:13:56.620 they share certain

00:13:57.320 political beliefs,

00:13:58.140 they still have to be

00:13:58.860 decent human beings.

00:14:00.480 You know,

00:14:00.620 and like you said,

00:14:01.500 politicians,

00:14:02.160 they tend to be

00:14:02.900 little,

00:14:03.700 like you said, 1.00

00:14:04.520 scumbags. 1.00

00:14:05.900 But, you know, 1.00

00:14:06.940 we can't,

00:14:07.540 we can't just let

00:14:08.540 things of this nature

00:14:09.900 especially go

00:14:10.840 because they share

00:14:11.960 certain policy beliefs.

00:14:13.380 We have to,

00:14:13.920 like I said,

00:14:14.420 have some kind

00:14:14.900 of standards here.

00:14:15.720 But should we

00:14:16.340 unilaterally disarm?

00:14:17.640 I mean,

00:14:17.800 this is the trouble.

00:14:18.720 A lot of the commentary

00:14:19.940 today on Clinton is,

00:14:21.220 if we had only

00:14:21.980 held him accountable,

00:14:23.260 then maybe politics

00:14:24.520 wouldn't have degraded

00:14:25.320 itself such as it is.

00:14:27.440 You know,

00:14:27.940 the founder of the

00:14:28.820 Treasury Department,

00:14:29.820 a founding father,

00:14:31.440 Washington's aide

00:14:32.220 de camp,

00:14:32.660 Alexander Hamilton,

00:14:34.080 famously cuckolded

00:14:35.020 at a man named

00:14:35.540 James Reynolds.

00:14:36.280 It was the first

00:14:36.920 sex scandal

00:14:37.860 in American history.

00:14:39.300 And John Adams,

00:14:40.580 second president,

00:14:41.500 said there weren't 1.00

00:14:42.220 enough whores 1.00

00:14:42.880 in Philadelphia 1.00

00:14:43.920 to contain his

00:14:44.840 superabundance

00:14:45.520 of secretions,

00:14:47.260 rather.

00:14:48.400 Obviously,

00:14:49.360 there is,

00:14:49.840 I see a running

00:14:50.600 theme in American

00:14:51.340 politics.

00:14:52.600 Had Democrats

00:14:54.220 held Bill Clinton

00:14:55.420 to account

00:14:56.640 in the 90s,

00:14:57.680 would we see

00:14:58.740 a politics

00:14:59.260 that is not

00:14:59.760 so degraded today?

00:15:00.620 I think politics

00:15:03.940 is always going

00:15:04.580 to be degraded.

00:15:05.340 And like you said,

00:15:05.820 it always has been.

00:15:06.860 I think we just need

00:15:07.720 to hold everyone

00:15:08.320 accountable always.

00:15:09.400 They should have

00:15:09.800 done it then.

00:15:10.320 We need to keep

00:15:11.060 doing it now.

00:15:12.700 I think things

00:15:13.560 are a lot more

00:15:14.020 public now.

00:15:14.780 We've got social media,

00:15:15.920 we've got everything else.

00:15:17.640 So I think that's,

00:15:18.600 in a lot of ways,

00:15:19.280 a good thing.

00:15:19.800 People know what's

00:15:20.620 happening now.

00:15:21.480 Things are being

00:15:22.000 made public.

00:15:23.040 And now that they

00:15:23.900 are being made public,

00:15:25.160 we need to do

00:15:25.700 something about it.

00:15:27.400 All right.

00:15:27.960 That's what we have

00:15:28.420 to do.

00:15:28.660 It is all very public

00:15:29.720 now.

00:15:30.040 And this whole show

00:15:30.740 is public for all

00:15:31.620 of you up to this point.

00:15:32.840 I'm sorry.

00:15:33.500 If you don't subscribe

00:15:34.420 to TheDailyWire.com,

00:15:35.700 I have to say goodbye

00:15:36.640 to Facebook and YouTube.

00:15:38.220 I know,

00:15:38.540 we have so much more

00:15:39.240 to cover today.

00:15:39.960 We have the poetic

00:15:40.700 diction of Donald

00:15:41.460 Trump's tweets, 1.00

00:15:42.260 we have that stupid 1.00

00:15:43.020 game cards against 1.00

00:15:43.760 humanity,

00:15:44.180 and we make fun

00:15:44.820 of atheists.

00:15:45.660 But you can only do it

00:15:46.660 if you go to

00:15:47.120 DailyWire.com right now.

00:15:49.240 You haven't even heard

00:15:50.200 from Jacob Era yet,

00:15:51.580 but probably that's

00:15:52.800 incentive to just

00:15:53.560 log off right now.

00:15:54.720 If you go to

00:15:55.380 Facebook and,

00:15:56.640 or rather,

00:15:57.320 if you go to

00:15:57.560 DailyWire.com,

00:15:58.280 what do you get?

00:15:58.760 You get me,

00:16:00.060 you get the Andrew

00:16:00.740 Klavan Show,

00:16:01.200 you get the Ben Shapiro Show,

00:16:02.220 yada, yada, yada, yada, yada.

00:16:04.300 But look at this, folks.

00:16:06.300 The Leftist Tears Tumblr.

00:16:08.040 With all of the

00:16:08.680 crocodile tears

00:16:09.520 pouring out

00:16:10.100 from all corners today,

00:16:11.180 you better get it.

00:16:12.080 You're going to have to

00:16:12.560 get the Atlantic vintage,

00:16:13.640 the New York Times vintage,

00:16:14.880 the Jake Tapper vintage,

00:16:16.120 on and on and on.

00:16:17.620 So go over there right now.

00:16:18.460 By the way,

00:16:18.800 Mailbag's tomorrow.

00:16:19.460 If you subscribe today,

00:16:20.820 you can submit a question,

00:16:21.840 and I will change your life

00:16:22.820 for the better ASAP.

00:16:24.220 So go there.

00:16:24.600 DailyWire.com.

00:16:25.280 We'll be right back.

00:16:36.560 Okay, we have

00:16:37.800 a lot of news to cover.

00:16:39.140 The card game,

00:16:40.320 insufferable millennial card game, 0.65

00:16:42.000 Cards Against Humanity,

00:16:43.180 is running a holiday promotion

00:16:44.840 to buy a lot of vacant land

00:16:47.300 along the U.S.-Mexico border

00:16:48.680 and prevent Trump's wall.

00:16:50.300 This game is the worst.

00:16:52.520 It is,

00:16:53.120 for those of you

00:16:53.600 who haven't played it,

00:16:54.760 it's like a pretentious version

00:16:57.120 of apples to apples

00:16:59.040 or Mad Libs

00:16:59.980 so that skittish liberals

00:17:02.020 can say some naughty words

00:17:03.580 and giggle.

00:17:05.260 After one or two plays,

00:17:07.620 all of the fun of it is gone.

00:17:09.680 You know,

00:17:09.920 they'll have one card

00:17:11.440 that says,

00:17:12.500 our class trip

00:17:13.340 was ruined by blank,

00:17:14.640 and then it'll just have

00:17:15.440 a bunch of cards

00:17:16.460 that have different bodily fluids

00:17:18.080 or racial epithets

00:17:19.180 on it or something.

00:17:20.480 So it's funny

00:17:21.560 for a little bit,

00:17:22.420 and they bill it

00:17:23.340 as a party game

00:17:24.300 for horrible people.

00:17:26.560 In reality, though,

00:17:27.700 it's just a game

00:17:29.000 for liberals

00:17:30.200 so that they can say

00:17:31.200 some naughty things

00:17:32.120 because political correctness

00:17:33.260 is so awful.

00:17:33.960 Then they all giggle

00:17:34.840 at how terrible it is,

00:17:36.380 and they know,

00:17:37.180 well, we're not

00:17:37.500 the real horrible people.

00:17:38.540 We're not the horrible people

00:17:39.480 who, you know,

00:17:40.200 ride tractors

00:17:40.840 and vote for Republicans

00:17:41.740 and things like that.

00:17:42.740 We just sip Chardonnay

00:17:44.500 in New York

00:17:45.080 and giggle at

00:17:46.280 all of these mean things.

00:17:48.080 So, Jacob,

00:17:49.200 is Cards Against Humanity,

00:17:50.460 which bills itself

00:17:51.340 as un-PC,

00:17:52.440 has it gone full

00:17:53.200 political correctness now?

00:17:54.700 Oh, absolutely.

00:17:55.680 This is,

00:17:56.280 I've never,

00:17:56.760 I've personally

00:17:57.280 never played it.

00:17:58.300 You know,

00:17:58.580 as far as my board games,

00:18:00.100 I have higher standards,

00:18:01.980 but,

00:18:02.240 or excuse me,

00:18:02.980 my card games,

00:18:04.160 but I'm,

00:18:05.120 I think this is just them

00:18:06.940 doing some virtue signaling.

00:18:09.440 I know some of their cards

00:18:10.360 have gotten them

00:18:10.920 in trouble in the past,

00:18:12.500 and, you know,

00:18:13.060 people still buy it,

00:18:13.960 they still play it,

00:18:14.760 but I think this is just

00:18:15.700 them saying,

00:18:16.520 hey, yeah,

00:18:17.620 our card game,

00:18:18.620 it may be politically incorrect,

00:18:19.780 but look at us,

00:18:20.700 you know,

00:18:21.000 they're doing the,

00:18:22.100 they're doing the grandstanding

00:18:23.600 on the border,

00:18:24.940 as they like to say.

00:18:26.660 Oh,

00:18:26.800 it's like Bill Clinton,

00:18:27.680 right?

00:18:27.920 Yeah,

00:18:28.200 sure, 0.99

00:18:28.540 I abuse women 1.00

00:18:29.700 in positions below me,

00:18:30.980 but, you know,

00:18:31.480 abortion, right? 0.99

00:18:32.320 I'm good on abortion.

00:18:33.680 Candace,

00:18:34.160 the millennial generation

00:18:35.160 is known,

00:18:36.240 is known by

00:18:37.080 its overwhelming performance

00:18:38.680 of apathy.

00:18:39.740 This is just something

00:18:40.380 I've noticed.

00:18:41.060 All the music

00:18:41.620 is very apathetic.

00:18:42.780 Everyone gets tattoos

00:18:43.560 everywhere.

00:18:44.620 It's an expression

00:18:45.700 of philosophic nihilism.

00:18:47.960 You know,

00:18:48.360 everything's whatever,

00:18:49.380 man, 0.96

00:18:49.620 and we're all gonna die someday.

00:18:51.140 Yet,

00:18:51.720 these guys are so triggered

00:18:53.460 by Donald Trump

00:18:54.460 to look at things

00:18:56.400 with the glass half full.

00:18:58.520 Is this evidence

00:18:59.720 that at least

00:19:00.500 this culture of nihilism

00:19:01.880 is crumbling?

00:19:03.780 I can't look at this

00:19:05.000 with the glass half full,

00:19:06.160 so I'm gonna,

00:19:07.140 I'm just gonna say that

00:19:09.040 What this is

00:19:10.260 is dramatic irony.

00:19:12.740 It tells you

00:19:13.460 why people can't

00:19:14.420 take millennials seriously.

00:19:15.900 I mean,

00:19:16.160 they put together

00:19:16.680 this game,

00:19:17.160 Cards of Humanity,

00:19:17.920 which you mentioned

00:19:18.540 is supposed to be

00:19:19.560 this super non-political,

00:19:21.260 we get to say

00:19:21.880 what we want,

00:19:22.620 but they can't bear

00:19:23.800 the thoughts

00:19:24.500 of not allowing people

00:19:26.200 that don't belong

00:19:27.000 into this country

00:19:27.640 to run in here freely

00:19:29.020 and drive up

00:19:29.660 everybody's taxes.

00:19:31.100 I mean,

00:19:31.480 this is why people

00:19:32.620 can't stand liberals.

00:19:33.960 Everything they do 1.00

00:19:35.000 is hypocritical, 0.98

00:19:36.600 and it's ironic 0.99

00:19:37.880 in all of the bad ways

00:19:39.420 that you can talk

00:19:40.000 about irony.

00:19:41.500 And it's ironic

00:19:42.300 because it's within confines,

00:19:43.880 right?

00:19:44.060 They say,

00:19:44.620 oh yeah,

00:19:45.180 we can say all these,

00:19:46.280 you know,

00:19:46.680 bad things,

00:19:47.380 but only within

00:19:48.140 this certain social convention

00:19:49.580 that we've all agreed

00:19:50.280 is perfectly fine,

00:19:51.060 and we all have to

00:19:52.040 look at each other,

00:19:52.740 and okay,

00:19:53.140 you're not,

00:19:53.480 and I'm not serious,

00:19:54.220 okay,

00:19:54.440 good,

00:19:54.600 good,

00:19:54.760 good.

00:19:55.500 Amelia,

00:19:56.060 on that point,

00:19:57.100 in the old days,

00:19:57.740 card games used

00:19:58.460 to be complicated,

00:19:59.560 and creative games

00:20:00.640 used to require creativity.

00:20:02.660 Cards Against Humanity

00:20:03.580 is a very simple card game,

00:20:05.380 and it completely

00:20:06.200 precludes creativity.

00:20:07.300 You can't be creative

00:20:08.000 at all.

00:20:08.680 What does the decay

00:20:09.720 of games say

00:20:10.900 about our culture?

00:20:14.620 Well,

00:20:15.420 decay of culture.

00:20:16.980 You know,

00:20:17.460 I think it really

00:20:18.320 just,

00:20:19.240 again,

00:20:19.460 goes back to that

00:20:20.120 lowest common denominator.

00:20:21.440 It's like,

00:20:22.220 let's all get together

00:20:23.120 and say some horrible things.

00:20:24.900 Nope,

00:20:25.360 there's no need

00:20:25.920 to have any creativity.

00:20:27.000 There's no need

00:20:27.400 to think about it.

00:20:29.280 You know,

00:20:29.860 it supplies you

00:20:30.720 with the horrible things

00:20:31.840 to say.

00:20:32.340 You don't even need

00:20:32.840 to think of those

00:20:33.440 on your own.

00:20:35.040 You know,

00:20:35.560 at least like you

00:20:36.060 were saying

00:20:36.320 with Mad Libs, 0.53

00:20:37.120 you had to think

00:20:37.640 of something.

00:20:38.800 So,

00:20:39.320 you know,

00:20:39.960 people aren't

00:20:40.340 getting together

00:20:40.900 and doing something

00:20:41.660 creative,

00:20:42.200 having some fun.

00:20:43.040 They're just

00:20:43.600 saying some words

00:20:45.380 that were already

00:20:46.080 supplied to them.

00:20:47.020 And they're so absurd.

00:20:49.000 I mean,

00:20:49.400 sometimes it's,

00:20:50.600 absurd things can be funny,

00:20:52.000 but it gets old.

00:20:52.840 It gets old

00:20:53.400 and tedious

00:20:53.920 pretty quickly.

00:20:54.540 You would think,

00:20:55.780 though,

00:20:55.900 that a culture

00:20:56.440 that is decadent,

00:20:57.920 a culture that has

00:20:59.240 fallen into disrepair

00:21:00.760 and nihilism,

00:21:01.740 you would think

00:21:02.360 that it would make

00:21:02.920 its recreation

00:21:03.700 complicated

00:21:04.600 because that's

00:21:06.060 what it's focused on.

00:21:07.640 But instead,

00:21:08.300 this is just

00:21:08.640 the laziest game ever.

00:21:10.780 Is it evidence 0.74

00:21:11.920 of a sloth

00:21:13.700 in the millennial generation

00:21:15.620 or am I reading

00:21:17.200 too much into 1.00

00:21:17.740 this stupid game? 1.00

00:21:20.020 No, 1.00

00:21:20.240 I think absolutely.

00:21:21.140 You know,

00:21:21.320 this is the Postmates

00:21:22.720 kind of games

00:21:23.720 where everything

00:21:24.300 is just being handed

00:21:25.200 to you

00:21:25.700 and you just

00:21:26.920 sit there

00:21:28.080 and throw your cards out

00:21:29.240 and there's

00:21:29.640 nothing else required.

00:21:30.720 Nothing and no creativity,

00:21:32.140 no strategy,

00:21:33.100 just this is mine,

00:21:34.060 here we go.

00:21:35.620 Marching off to the grave.

00:21:37.180 The third,

00:21:37.700 speaking of that,

00:21:38.460 speaking of all

00:21:39.020 of those philosophic ideas,

00:21:40.840 the third annual

00:21:41.420 Global Atheist Convention,

00:21:43.620 ironically called

00:21:44.580 Reason to Hope,

00:21:46.320 has been canceled

00:21:47.300 because nobody

00:21:48.660 wanted to go.

00:21:49.800 Amelia,

00:21:50.400 after a decade

00:21:51.340 of totally undeserved

00:21:52.700 plaudits given

00:21:53.460 to Richard Dawkins,

00:21:55.060 Daniel Dennett,

00:21:55.860 Sam Harris,

00:21:57.200 Christopher Hitchens,

00:21:58.420 whose writing I enjoy

00:21:59.300 but whose thoughts

00:21:59.900 aren't that smart,

00:22:01.100 has atheism peaked?

00:22:03.120 Are we headed right now

00:22:04.300 for a religious reawakening?

00:22:07.180 You know,

00:22:07.640 I think,

00:22:08.140 I think it's possible.

00:22:10.840 You know,

00:22:11.200 people really are searching

00:22:12.460 for some kind of meaning

00:22:13.540 and people used to get it

00:22:15.180 from things like religion

00:22:16.220 and, you know,

00:22:16.840 now we're finding,

00:22:18.360 you know,

00:22:18.560 people are going to,

00:22:20.060 you know,

00:22:20.200 the theology of Harry Potter talks,

00:22:22.300 you know,

00:22:22.580 where they find out,

00:22:23.480 you know,

00:22:23.760 following that is sort of

00:22:24.720 some kind of a religious experience

00:22:26.220 and people are really searching

00:22:28.220 for that kind of meaning,

00:22:29.680 for that kind of guidance

00:22:30.560 in their lives

00:22:31.880 and they aren't finding it

00:22:33.780 from the traditional places

00:22:34.860 and I think maybe we're going to see

00:22:36.140 people turning back to that.

00:22:37.520 Yeah,

00:22:37.680 I think they should look

00:22:38.440 to the traditional places

00:22:39.420 because they're not finding it

00:22:40.500 in Harry Potter.

00:22:41.400 It is so sad

00:22:42.400 that our generation,

00:22:43.980 that the myth

00:22:44.720 is Harry Potter.

00:22:45.880 That's what we're grounding

00:22:47.060 our mythical thinking in. 0.99

00:22:48.700 It's really pathetic. 0.98

00:22:50.120 I think Harold Bloom said 0.98

00:22:51.460 it would be better for,

00:22:52.620 the literary critic Harold Bloom

00:22:53.860 said that it would be better

00:22:55.020 for children to watch television

00:22:56.300 than to read Harry Potter

00:22:57.360 because all of,

00:22:58.700 whenever,

00:22:59.160 no one ever just takes a walk.

00:23:01.060 They all,

00:23:01.340 it's all these awful cliches

00:23:02.640 like,

00:23:03.020 oh,

00:23:03.140 I'm going to stretch my legs.

00:23:04.860 They always just stretch their legs

00:23:06.180 and just take a walk.

00:23:07.440 Candace,

00:23:07.960 there is significant evidence

00:23:09.420 that the post-millennials,

00:23:11.040 this is the cause for hope.

00:23:11.920 I'm going to make you hopeful

00:23:12.700 before the end of this show,

00:23:14.000 so help me God.

00:23:15.400 There's significant evidence

00:23:16.600 that the post-millennials,

00:23:17.540 Gen Z are far more religious 1.00

00:23:20.180 and church-going

00:23:21.020 than we millennials

00:23:22.440 because,

00:23:23.680 as Amelia just said,

00:23:24.820 they're looking for meaning.

00:23:26.080 What,

00:23:26.540 what is causing this return

00:23:28.180 to religion?

00:23:29.020 Obviously,

00:23:29.380 they're looking for meaning,

00:23:30.820 but what,

00:23:31.620 what is the,

00:23:32.520 the immediate cause

00:23:33.540 in our time of that?

00:23:35.500 I don't really know.

00:23:36.560 That's a really good question.

00:23:37.600 Maybe when you get to a point

00:23:38.880 and you have so much invested

00:23:40.480 in the books written

00:23:41.820 by J.K. Rowling

00:23:42.940 and then you read

00:23:44.060 her Twitter feed,

00:23:45.140 you realize that you made,

00:23:46.200 you made a wrong turn.

00:23:48.780 And right,

00:23:49.760 yeah,

00:23:49.980 so right after you get off

00:23:50.960 of the Twitter feed,

00:23:51.780 you realize that you need God

00:23:53.040 in your life

00:23:53.660 and you are going down

00:23:54.680 a path out.

00:23:55.980 That's a profound thought,

00:23:57.440 actually,

00:23:57.880 because the,

00:23:59.280 this generation

00:23:59.900 has made gods

00:24:00.880 out of people

00:24:01.980 who do not deserve

00:24:02.800 to be gods.

00:24:03.520 They've made gods

00:24:04.140 out of celebrities.

00:24:05.320 They've made prophets

00:24:07.360 out of J.K. Rowling.

00:24:08.700 And then you look

00:24:09.900 at their behavior,

00:24:11.000 you look at their Twitter feed,

00:24:12.260 you look at everything

00:24:13.180 and you realize

00:24:13.840 that everybody

00:24:14.840 falls short

00:24:15.360 of the glory of God

00:24:16.200 and certainly Hollywood

00:24:17.920 is, you know,

00:24:18.960 we all fall short,

00:24:20.040 but those guys

00:24:20.560 fall like a lot shorter.

00:24:22.400 And so that might be it.

00:24:24.260 There's been a betrayal

00:24:25.080 by our gods

00:24:25.900 and even the philosophic gods

00:24:27.780 that we've made

00:24:28.380 for ourselves,

00:24:29.100 environmentalism,

00:24:30.280 all of the ideologies

00:24:31.460 that have come

00:24:31.900 to replace Marxism

00:24:33.940 and therefore

00:24:34.340 traditional religion,

00:24:36.180 they've failed us.

00:24:37.240 We don't,

00:24:38.260 I don't know

00:24:39.240 if it would be too far

00:24:39.900 to say,

00:24:40.820 you know,

00:24:41.220 Nietzsche thought

00:24:41.620 that God is dead,

00:24:42.500 but really we've learned

00:24:43.300 that all the other things

00:24:44.100 are dead too

00:24:44.780 and we have to go back

00:24:45.940 to that first one.

00:24:47.260 Jacob,

00:24:48.180 the irony

00:24:48.880 of this convention title

00:24:50.480 is that atheism,

00:24:52.260 of course,

00:24:52.540 means there is no hope.

00:24:53.600 We just,

00:24:54.180 we're born,

00:24:54.820 we die,

00:24:55.220 we turn to worm food,

00:24:56.320 you know,

00:24:57.000 good play.

00:24:57.980 Yet,

00:24:58.500 in every civilization

00:24:59.620 at all times

00:25:00.360 throughout history,

00:25:01.400 man has demonstrated

00:25:02.420 a longing for God.

00:25:03.900 Is this just

00:25:04.660 a cosmic joke

00:25:05.600 on mankind

00:25:06.140 or is that longing

00:25:07.940 evidence

00:25:08.520 that God exists?

00:25:09.900 I think that the longing

00:25:10.960 is evidence

00:25:11.880 that God exists

00:25:12.840 as far as,

00:25:14.420 you know,

00:25:14.960 reasons to hope.

00:25:16.380 I think it's more,

00:25:17.980 the very title

00:25:19.120 of the conference

00:25:19.840 tells me

00:25:20.620 that it's not just

00:25:21.460 atheism that has peaked,

00:25:23.200 it's nihilism

00:25:24.040 that has peaked

00:25:24.780 because,

00:25:25.660 you know,

00:25:25.840 it's funny

00:25:26.380 when Jerry Seinfeld

00:25:27.380 is doing it,

00:25:28.000 right,

00:25:28.280 you know,

00:25:28.480 a show about nothing

00:25:29.480 but no one wants

00:25:30.600 to think that their life

00:25:31.680 means nothing.

00:25:32.840 They don't expect it

00:25:33.860 to be,

00:25:34.220 you know,

00:25:34.400 like William Shakespeare

00:25:35.200 or Dr. King Jr.,

00:25:36.500 but they want their life

00:25:37.660 to have some sort of meaning.

00:25:38.780 And it's funny,

00:25:39.380 Seinfeld is funny

00:25:40.260 because it's absurd.

00:25:41.580 Exactly.

00:25:41.760 We're not laughing

00:25:42.300 at these people

00:25:43.200 with their meaningless

00:25:44.120 problems

00:25:45.060 and meaningless lives.

00:25:46.480 And that's why

00:25:47.000 I think that

00:25:47.560 it was kind of ironic

00:25:48.720 that they called it

00:25:49.400 a reason to hope

00:25:50.020 because if atheism

00:25:50.860 is true,

00:25:51.440 there is no reason

00:25:52.240 to hope.

00:25:53.120 You know,

00:25:53.420 it's always going

00:25:54.340 to be the greater species

00:25:56.500 is always going

00:25:57.020 to conquer

00:25:57.360 the lesser species

00:25:58.200 because that's just

00:25:58.800 how Darwinianism works.

00:26:01.000 But I think that,

00:26:02.400 yes,

00:26:02.720 that longing

00:26:03.320 is a sign

00:26:04.700 that God exists

00:26:05.720 out there.

00:26:06.180 And this convention

00:26:08.340 is a sign

00:26:08.780 that God exists.

00:26:09.740 I've always found...

00:26:10.700 The fact that it got canceled

00:26:11.320 is a sign

00:26:12.220 that God exists.

00:26:13.020 In my experience

00:26:13.740 of God,

00:26:14.280 he's a pretty

00:26:14.820 whimsical fella.

00:26:16.220 And so the atheists 0.99

00:26:17.720 name this convention

00:26:19.060 absurdly

00:26:20.100 a reason for hope.

00:26:22.060 And then

00:26:22.600 in itself,

00:26:24.380 it's a reason

00:26:24.920 to despair.

00:26:25.740 It's the opposite

00:26:26.380 of hope.

00:26:26.880 And then it gets canceled

00:26:27.800 and we get a reason

00:26:28.560 to hope.

00:26:28.900 God can turn everything,

00:26:31.060 even the death

00:26:31.940 of his own son,

00:26:33.240 for good,

00:26:34.100 even the fall

00:26:34.580 of mankind,

00:26:35.160 for good.

00:26:35.660 A felix culpa.

00:26:36.860 Okay,

00:26:37.280 speaking of reasons

00:26:38.320 to hope,

00:26:39.120 we have to get to

00:26:40.280 Trump's torrent

00:26:42.400 of grade A

00:26:43.520 100% pure covfefe

00:26:45.520 tweets since his

00:26:46.720 return from Asia.

00:26:47.960 Among them,

00:26:49.000 quote,

00:26:49.660 while in the Philippines,

00:26:50.880 I was forced

00:26:51.580 to watch CNN,

00:26:52.980 which I have not

00:26:53.820 done in months,

00:26:54.780 and again realized

00:26:55.920 how bad

00:26:56.660 and fake

00:26:57.500 it is. 1.00

00:26:58.720 Loser. 1.00

00:26:59.720 Loser. 1.00

00:27:00.320 Another quote. 1.00

00:27:01.380 Do you think

00:27:01.940 the three UCLA

00:27:02.760 basketball players

00:27:03.740 will say,

00:27:04.460 thank you,

00:27:05.000 President Trump?

00:27:05.880 They were headed

00:27:06.700 for 10 years in jail.

00:27:08.480 And then another

00:27:09.460 great one.

00:27:10.520 The failing New York

00:27:11.480 Times hates the fact

00:27:12.600 that I have developed

00:27:13.560 a great relationship

00:27:14.420 with world leaders

00:27:15.700 like Xi Jinping,

00:27:17.040 president of China.

00:27:18.200 By the way,

00:27:18.720 capitalization is getting

00:27:19.740 a little wonky

00:27:20.540 in some of these.

00:27:21.400 They should realize

00:27:22.420 that these relationships

00:27:23.280 are a good thing,

00:27:24.340 not a bad thing.

00:27:25.540 To U.S.,

00:27:26.620 the U.S.

00:27:27.160 is being respected again.

00:27:28.300 Watch trade.

00:27:29.320 It is actually hard

00:27:30.320 to believe how naive 1.00

00:27:31.460 or dumb 1.00

00:27:32.420 the failing New York 1.00

00:27:33.600 Times is

00:27:34.240 when it comes

00:27:34.900 to foreign policy. 0.95

00:27:36.260 Weak and ineffective. 0.97

00:27:39.080 Oh, God, 0.86

00:27:39.800 just a moment

00:27:40.440 of applause.

00:27:42.860 It is so poetic.

00:27:46.660 Jacob,

00:27:47.720 to play devil's advocate,

00:27:49.700 if this were a Democrat

00:27:50.720 doing this,

00:27:51.420 we would be losing

00:27:52.120 our minds.

00:27:52.880 We would be going

00:27:54.000 insane with anger.

00:27:55.480 Is it okay

00:27:56.680 to applaud Trump's tweets

00:27:58.400 as I just did

00:27:59.180 just because he's

00:28:00.420 a Republican?

00:28:01.640 Well,

00:28:01.780 not just because

00:28:02.560 he's a Republican,

00:28:04.020 but I absolutely,

00:28:05.360 and even me,

00:28:05.960 I've said many times

00:28:06.800 on this show,

00:28:07.380 I'm a Trump skeptic.

00:28:08.620 I'm not a never-Trumper

00:28:09.940 and I'm not on the

00:28:10.620 Trump train,

00:28:11.520 but I'm a Trump skeptic.

00:28:12.800 But I actually admire

00:28:14.180 this about Trump.

00:28:15.740 Republicans have

00:28:16.520 forever been saying,

00:28:17.960 hey,

00:28:18.140 we need a president

00:28:19.240 who will stick it

00:28:20.160 right to the media.

00:28:21.120 And so I'm actually

00:28:22.500 enjoying this greatly.

00:28:23.640 I think it's a thrill ride.

00:28:25.540 And maybe,

00:28:26.000 you know,

00:28:26.280 if President Obama

00:28:28.160 had done this,

00:28:29.160 you know,

00:28:29.340 I might have been

00:28:29.900 a little disturbed by it.

00:28:31.680 But hey,

00:28:32.240 I,

00:28:33.000 you know, 0.92

00:28:33.240 call me a hypocrite 0.98

00:28:33.940 if you want, 0.96

00:28:34.340 but I am enjoying it

00:28:35.580 completely

00:28:36.320 because President Trump

00:28:37.740 just has this way

00:28:39.020 of doing it

00:28:39.940 where you just have to laugh.

00:28:41.340 You just go,

00:28:41.900 oh my gosh,

00:28:42.620 you know,

00:28:42.840 he just took on

00:28:43.680 the New York Times

00:28:44.620 and CNN

00:28:45.200 and it was amazing.

00:28:47.480 If Obama had done it,

00:28:48.820 it would be totally bizarre

00:28:50.060 and terrifying.

00:28:51.400 But it's because of

00:28:52.980 how they've built

00:28:53.900 their careers.

00:28:55.440 Both of them,

00:28:56.520 both Obama and Trump

00:28:57.680 built their careers

00:28:59.100 such that they exposed

00:29:00.640 enough of themselves

00:29:01.480 that aspects of them

00:29:03.000 that might scare people

00:29:04.900 are no longer scary.

00:29:06.420 So Barack Obama

00:29:07.100 did this in his book

00:29:08.080 Dreams from My Father.

00:29:09.980 He talked about

00:29:10.540 how his father

00:29:11.160 was a Muslim bigamist,

00:29:13.460 basically,

00:29:13.920 then atheist,

00:29:14.720 I suppose.

00:29:15.240 And he was raised

00:29:16.340 in these Muslim schools

00:29:18.000 in Indonesia

00:29:18.740 and he did a bunch

00:29:19.640 of coke

00:29:20.160 and he was around

00:29:21.140 radical leftists

00:29:22.160 and he was friends 0.95

00:29:22.720 with leftist terrorists.

00:29:24.160 And the thing about

00:29:24.820 that book,

00:29:25.380 I will say,

00:29:26.140 by the end of it,

00:29:26.940 you're not afraid of him.

00:29:27.980 He makes it not scary.

00:29:29.480 Same with Trump.

00:29:30.520 If you just flew in

00:29:32.080 from Mars right now,

00:29:33.440 you would say

00:29:34.080 the Earth is on

00:29:34.920 the brink of collapse.

00:29:36.280 But if you've followed

00:29:37.160 Trump for 40 years

00:29:38.280 and you've followed

00:29:39.380 his influences

00:29:41.100 as a matter of persuasion

00:29:42.380 and rhetoric and media,

00:29:43.720 you say,

00:29:44.140 no,

00:29:44.300 I see where this is coming from.

00:29:45.320 I see what he's doing here.

00:29:46.680 Now,

00:29:47.020 to your point

00:29:47.940 on the culture warrior,

00:29:48.920 Amelia,

00:29:49.680 many of the so-called

00:29:50.780 conservatives

00:29:51.460 who have spent decades

00:29:53.000 calling for culture warriors

00:29:54.400 are now demurring

00:29:55.980 because Trump

00:29:56.900 is waging those battles.

00:29:58.420 Is the Donald

00:29:59.420 the culture warrior

00:30:00.380 that we have been waiting for?

00:30:03.560 Well,

00:30:04.200 I guess it depends

00:30:04.920 on who we is.

00:30:08.040 We on the right.

00:30:09.240 We broadly

00:30:09.900 as conservatives

00:30:10.760 before the Trumpianism

00:30:13.100 came in.

00:30:13.860 The conservative movement

00:30:14.800 of Bill Buckley

00:30:16.060 and Bill Kristol

00:30:17.720 and Irving Kristol

00:30:18.700 and Pat Horowitz

00:30:20.100 and all those guys.

00:30:20.580 I would say no.

00:30:21.580 For that group,

00:30:22.440 I would say no.

00:30:24.120 I don't think

00:30:24.960 that he's necessarily helpful.

00:30:26.380 I think that the message

00:30:28.300 frequently gets drowned

00:30:29.900 in the messenger,

00:30:31.360 in the delivery.

00:30:33.540 So while I think

00:30:34.780 the culture war

00:30:35.360 is important,

00:30:36.120 I don't think

00:30:36.760 it's necessarily

00:30:37.360 being waged

00:30:37.960 in the most helpful way

00:30:38.980 that it could be.

00:30:39.660 But I wonder with that

00:30:40.800 because people say,

00:30:41.840 oh,

00:30:41.880 if he'd only said it

00:30:42.600 more politely

00:30:43.140 than it would work.

00:30:44.880 But I don't really see that.

00:30:46.820 George W. Bush

00:30:47.420 was a very polite man.

00:30:48.560 He didn't do

00:30:49.060 a terribly bang-up job

00:30:50.660 in the culture war.

00:30:51.660 And with Donald Trump,

00:30:52.760 he misspells a word,

00:30:54.040 he capitalizes a word wrong,

00:30:55.360 he chooses strange language,

00:30:57.020 and then it's all

00:30:57.940 we can talk about.

00:30:58.960 His tweets are all

00:30:59.940 anyone has talked about

00:31:00.880 for two years.

00:31:02.020 Is it not possibly

00:31:03.360 the case that

00:31:04.720 for people,

00:31:05.540 and I don't mean

00:31:06.060 to call out these guys,

00:31:06.880 I like them personally,

00:31:08.080 but Bill Kristol

00:31:09.100 and Jonah Goldberg

00:31:10.180 and the never-Trump crowd

00:31:12.060 out of NR

00:31:13.000 and Weekly Standard?

00:31:14.380 Is it possible just

00:31:15.580 that they wanted

00:31:16.480 this culture warrior,

00:31:17.480 they wanted to fight

00:31:18.200 the culture,

00:31:18.880 and they had a vision of it,

00:31:20.640 and they didn't expect

00:31:21.500 it to look like this?

00:31:22.940 And so now that we get,

00:31:24.440 no one expected it

00:31:25.160 to look like this,

00:31:25.860 now that we have it,

00:31:27.080 that we don't recognize it?

00:31:30.260 You know,

00:31:30.780 I really,

00:31:31.520 that's certainly possible.

00:31:34.040 I don't know.

00:31:34.860 I still think

00:31:35.420 that it's just not quite

00:31:36.480 the warrior

00:31:37.940 that we wanted.

00:31:38.600 You guys are depressing me.

00:31:40.760 You're very, 0.62

00:31:41.120 you and Candace,

00:31:41.880 come on, man.

00:31:42.900 I'm sorry,

00:31:42.940 the glass is half empty

00:31:43.760 all around.

00:31:45.540 Jacob,

00:31:46.000 you've got to make me

00:31:46.520 feel better at some point.

00:31:47.600 But Candace,

00:31:48.220 first, make me feel worse.

00:31:49.840 The Washington Post

00:31:50.640 wrote a story today,

00:31:51.780 quote,

00:31:52.400 Trump's Asia trip

00:31:53.700 was hardly the success

00:31:55.200 he says it was.

00:31:56.880 That was in the news section.

00:31:58.060 That was not an op-ed,

00:31:59.000 that was not an editorial.

00:32:00.040 They filed that under news.

00:32:01.840 They passed that off

00:32:02.620 under news.

00:32:03.380 Of course,

00:32:03.760 they offered no evidence.

00:32:04.740 It was absolute tripe,

00:32:06.280 the so-called

00:32:07.780 foreign policy analysis.

00:32:09.640 If the Washington Post

00:32:10.820 and CNN

00:32:11.460 and the New York Times

00:32:12.420 are going to behave

00:32:13.420 like children

00:32:14.000 without any journalistic standards,

00:32:16.220 having to recant stories,

00:32:17.740 having to fire

00:32:18.760 reporting staff,

00:32:21.260 then shouldn't we treat them

00:32:23.200 like the children

00:32:23.760 that they are?

00:32:24.380 Shouldn't President Trump

00:32:25.340 treat them like the children

00:32:26.640 that they are?

00:32:27.860 I think altogether

00:32:29.120 we need to stop talking

00:32:30.040 about the Washington Post.

00:32:31.280 That is Jeff Bezos'

00:32:32.120 personal diary, okay?

00:32:35.820 His feelings,

00:32:36.620 his thoughts go into there.

00:32:37.680 Then people are saying

00:32:38.400 that his feelings and thoughts,

00:32:39.640 which aren't based in facts,

00:32:41.120 are written for the world.

00:32:43.140 Everybody understands

00:32:44.000 the Washington Post

00:32:44.740 is literally just his play toy

00:32:46.020 at this point.

00:32:46.980 To go back to your earlier point,

00:32:48.200 I absolutely love

00:32:49.200 what Trump is doing.

00:32:49.960 I think he is the cultural warrior

00:32:51.740 that people were looking for.

00:32:53.420 People, meaning us people,

00:32:55.500 that hold jobs.

00:32:56.880 And when we watch our TV screens,

00:32:58.460 we are so tired

00:32:59.500 of hearing politicians.

00:33:00.900 We are so tired

00:33:01.960 of somebody making something

00:33:03.100 that's horrible,

00:33:04.220 sound great,

00:33:05.020 wrapping it into a bow

00:33:05.980 and presenting to us

00:33:06.900 the same BS that we get

00:33:08.140 all the time.

00:33:09.000 We want somebody

00:33:09.900 who talks like us.

00:33:10.820 When I look at the TV

00:33:11.740 and I'm watching CNN

00:33:12.880 and they're lying to me, 0.99

00:33:13.940 I'm going, loser, you know? 0.99

00:33:17.100 And that is what Donald Trump 0.99

00:33:19.160 is able to do so effectively.

00:33:21.020 He talks like he's talking

00:33:22.440 to the people,

00:33:23.740 for the people.

00:33:24.420 He's not dressing anything up

00:33:25.800 in a tuxedo.

00:33:27.220 And I just,

00:33:28.260 I wanted to make your day better,

00:33:29.140 Michael,

00:33:29.440 by letting you know

00:33:30.080 that I think he is

00:33:31.260 the cultural warrior

00:33:33.160 that we all needed.

00:33:35.000 I cannot get enough

00:33:36.100 of his tweets.

00:33:36.860 It's the best thing

00:33:37.680 since Kanye West.

00:33:38.780 Love them both.

00:33:39.560 And I love your point

00:33:41.020 of talking about people.

00:33:43.140 He's a guy who doesn't speak

00:33:45.700 in this mealy-mouthed,

00:33:47.520 particular language of politics.

00:33:49.200 He speaks like regular people speak.

00:33:51.640 Don't get me wrong.

00:33:52.580 I am all for elites.

00:33:53.960 I am all for elitism and elites.

00:33:56.020 But they have to actually be elites.

00:33:57.860 They have to be royals.

00:33:59.880 They have to be aristocrats.

00:34:01.260 They have to be seriously educated

00:34:03.180 and wise and sophisticated

00:34:04.800 and well-behaved.

00:34:06.740 And these people

00:34:07.500 who have been pretending

00:34:08.280 to be elites

00:34:08.900 for decades and decades

00:34:10.280 in American politics

00:34:11.220 simply are not.

00:34:12.800 There is absolutely no reason

00:34:14.520 for me to respect

00:34:15.680 journalists at CNN

00:34:16.860 or The New York Times

00:34:18.120 or Jeff Bezos'

00:34:19.160 personal letter to the world.

00:34:21.320 There's no reason.

00:34:22.420 They're not actually elites.

00:34:23.760 They don't know anything.

00:34:24.680 They don't possess wisdom.

00:34:26.280 So give me an elite

00:34:27.280 and I'll consider respecting them.

00:34:28.900 But until then,

00:34:29.640 give me a straight talker.

00:34:30.920 Absolutely right.

00:34:31.900 Okay, panel,

00:34:32.920 excellent to have you here.

00:34:34.280 You took me on a journey

00:34:35.220 of emotions.

00:34:36.220 I was so depressed.

00:34:37.440 I was so happy

00:34:38.160 there at the end.

00:34:39.000 Amelia, thank you

00:34:39.580 for being here first time.

00:34:40.940 Candace Owens

00:34:41.500 and Jacob Berry,

00:34:42.260 thanks for coming back.

00:34:43.180 We will talk to you

00:34:44.060 all again soon.

00:34:45.060 That's our show.

00:34:45.660 That's the whole thing, folks.

00:34:46.720 I got to get out of here

00:34:47.500 to read the thousand

00:34:48.920 mailbag questions

00:34:49.920 that are waiting.

00:34:51.040 If you haven't subscribed already,

00:34:52.320 well, you're probably subscribing already

00:34:54.200 if you're watching this now.

00:34:55.600 And if you're listening,

00:34:56.300 go over to Daily Wire

00:34:56.940 and subscribe

00:34:57.380 so you can send in

00:34:58.000 a mailbag question.

00:34:59.040 That'll be tomorrow.

00:34:59.800 We have a great interview,

00:35:00.840 by the way,

00:35:01.360 with Eric Metaxas

00:35:02.900 coming tomorrow

00:35:03.640 over Martin Luther.

00:35:05.260 He refutes some of my

00:35:06.860 objections

00:35:08.500 to the corpulent 0.81

00:35:09.260 German heretic.

00:35:10.260 And we have a good conversation

00:35:11.600 about his new book,

00:35:12.820 Martin Luther,

00:35:13.620 and then I'll answer

00:35:15.120 all of your questions.
