Ep. 617 - Rioters And Arsonists For Peace

Summary

Democrat protesters are rioting in the streets after Donald Trump refused to hand power over to Joe Biden. The question was, "Will you commit to making sure that there is a peaceful transfer of power after the election?" And Trump said, "I don't think we're gonna have that."

Transcript

00:00:00.000 Democrats are furious at the authoritarian, fascist, terrible, no good, mean guy, Donald
00:00:06.660 Trump, because when they asked him whether or not he will peacefully transfer power
00:00:11.480 to Joe Biden, he didn't give them exactly the answer that they wanted.
00:00:17.720 Will you commit to making sure that there is a peaceful transfer of power after the
00:00:22.680 election?
00:00:23.360 Well, we're gonna have to see what happens.
00:00:24.860 You know that I've been complaining very strongly about the ballots and the ballots
00:00:29.160 are a disaster.
00:00:30.680 I understand that, but people are rioting.
00:00:32.440 Do you commit to making sure that there's a peaceful transfer of power?
00:00:35.860 We want to have, get rid of the ballots and you'll have a very transfer, we'll have a
00:00:39.080 very peaceful, there won't be a transfer, frankly, there'll be a continuation.
00:00:43.480 The ballots are out of control.
00:00:45.540 You know it.
00:00:46.540 And you know who knows it better than anybody else?
00:00:48.660 The Democrats know it better than anybody else.
00:00:50.720 Go ahead.
00:00:51.820 Mr. President, will you give power over to Joe Biden?
00:00:55.060 Yeah, I don't think we're gonna have to do that.
00:00:56.720 But, but, but the riots, do you hear that?
00:01:00.360 The riots.
00:01:01.100 He actually admits, the question was obviously ridiculous in the first place.
00:01:05.000 It's just a setup of, are you going to, to turn over power to the Democrats?
00:01:09.380 He says, well, you know, you guys are engaging in election fraud right now, but I don't think
00:01:12.220 we're gonna need to worry about that.
00:01:13.500 And then the guy admits it, the reporter.
00:01:16.960 He says, but there are, there are riots in the streets.
00:01:19.560 We're rioting in the streets.
00:01:20.760 We're already committing violence.
00:01:22.300 Why won't you be intimidated into peacefully giving us power?
00:01:27.020 We're violently trying to take the power away from you, so why won't you peacefully give
00:01:31.240 it to us?
00:01:31.880 I don't think so.
00:01:32.820 People who are burning down the country and burning down our political regime don't get
00:01:37.220 to lecture us about peace.
00:01:39.000 By the way, another American city is up in flames.
00:01:41.280 I'm Michael Knowles.
00:01:41.900 This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:01:42.680 Welcome back to the show.
00:01:52.520 My favorite comment from yesterday comes from Zyphon7 on YouTube, who says, breaking.
00:01:58.160 Key Democrat says he will not hold up the Supreme Court nominee, referring, of course, to Mitt
00:02:03.020 Romney.
00:02:03.560 That is not fair.
00:02:04.880 Mitt Romney is playing nice with us right now.
00:02:07.260 That is such a mean, mean, mostly, completely accurate, true thing to say.
00:02:12.280 But look, Mitt's doing pretty well now.
00:02:14.480 He's come along over.
00:02:15.940 It looked like he was going to hold up a good conservative judge, but now he will not.
00:02:19.820 I got to tell you, it was a pretty close shave, folks, but not as close to shave as Harry's
00:02:23.520 shave.
00:02:24.460 How is that segue?
00:02:26.420 I love Harry's.
00:02:27.460 Glad to welcome them to the show.
00:02:29.200 I shaved with Harry's just this morning, and I've tried a lot of razor companies in my
00:02:33.720 life, okay?
00:02:34.400 I've actually had one razor.
00:02:36.220 I've changed the blades, thankfully, since I was about 16, 17 years old.
00:02:40.980 Harry's is unbelievable.
00:02:43.680 It is so sleek looking.
00:02:45.980 It is so simple.
00:02:46.920 You say, no way could this give you the best shave.
00:02:48.660 It does.
00:02:49.580 The blades are incredible.
00:02:51.300 It is smooth and a very close shave.
00:02:52.940 So I wondered, how on earth could they do that?
00:02:54.880 Because Harry's is very inexpensive.
00:02:56.540 They are not raising the cost of their blades, even as they innovate the technology and make
00:03:00.980 them sharper.
00:03:01.440 The blades are still as low as $2 each.
00:03:03.920 You can find new Harry's sharper blades in big box, drugstores, grocery stores, places
00:03:09.780 you get them.
00:03:10.380 If you like to shop online, you can also get them if you are new U.S. customers.
00:03:15.700 You can get a trial offer of Harry's new blades by going to harrys.com slash Knowles.
00:03:21.360 They are extremely sharp.
00:03:22.660 How?
00:03:23.040 Because Harry's owns a factory in Germany that has been making and honing blades for
00:03:27.440 over 100 years.
00:03:28.880 Well, that makes a lot of sense.
00:03:29.800 They also source all of their steel from Sweden.
00:03:33.400 You can totally rely on these guys.
00:03:35.520 There's a 100% quality guarantee.
00:03:37.360 The thing about razor blades is they should all be the same, right?
00:03:41.000 Except they're not.
00:03:41.880 What it comes down to is the quality of the steel, the quality of the production.
00:03:45.920 Harry's has the best.
00:03:46.880 You can get them in the big box drugstore or if you like to shop online.
00:03:50.180 New U.S. customers.
00:03:51.240 Get a Harry's trial set right now at harrys.com slash Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S.
00:03:56.840 You get a five-blade razor featuring their new sharper blades, a weighted handle, foaming
00:04:00.880 shave gel with aloe, and this is my favorite part, a little travel cover to protect your
00:04:05.660 blades and to protect your bags.
00:04:07.240 I've ripped up a number of travel bags because I put my razor in there and it tears them up.
00:04:11.120 Not with Harry's because you've got a little protective travel kit.
00:04:13.660 They think of everything.
00:04:14.640 harrys.com slash Knowles.
00:04:15.980 Redeem your trial offer today.
00:04:17.460 I cannot recommend this product highly enough.
00:04:21.240 Democrats are lecturing us on the peaceful transition of power.
00:04:25.380 Do you see anything wrong with that?
00:04:27.580 Is anything a little bit weird about that?
00:04:30.580 They did this, by the way, in 2016.
00:04:32.380 Hillary Clinton said they asked him the same question and it's a total set up question
00:04:36.080 and thankfully Donald Trump doesn't take the bait.
00:04:39.160 The question is, Mr. President, when you inevitably lose or when we inevitably steal the election
00:04:45.180 from you, are you willing to roll over and let us take all of the power from you and through
00:04:49.680 you, the people who voted for you in this country?
00:04:52.340 And he says, yeah, I'm not going to really answer that question, I don't think.
00:04:56.300 I think you guys are a bunch of propagandists and hacks for the Democrats.
00:04:59.680 I'm not going to answer that.
00:05:00.800 You've got a lot of problems.
00:05:02.480 And what happened?
00:05:03.160 In 2016, Hillary Clinton said Donald Trump is threatening not to accept the results of
00:05:08.960 the election.
00:05:09.580 He's a threat to democracy.
00:05:11.260 And then what happened?
00:05:12.180 Donald Trump won and Hillary Clinton still has not accepted the results of the 2016 election.
00:05:17.220 She didn't accept them on election night and she frankly hasn't accepted them to this
00:05:20.620 day.
00:05:20.920 Well, they're doing the same old thing again, except this year it's even more ridiculous
00:05:24.620 because, I don't know if you guys are history buffs or nothing, but what have Democrats been
00:05:29.060 doing for the past six months?
00:05:31.600 Oh, right, burning down the country, burning down multiple U.S. cities with the encouragement,
00:05:37.380 it's not just the rioters in the streets.
00:05:39.240 It's not just the people organizing and funding the rioters in the streets, BLM and Antifa.
00:05:43.940 It's the elected officials.
00:05:47.240 It's the people in the mainstream media.
00:05:49.540 It's the leftists in academia who fuel, give the intellectual fuel to the leftist administrative
00:05:56.160 state.
00:05:56.540 It's everybody in that liberal establishment has been pushing this violence.
00:06:03.420 They don't get to lecture the mean old orange man.
00:06:06.980 They don't, you know, it's funny because they make Donald Trump out to be this authoritarian
00:06:11.080 strong man.
00:06:12.820 What is he known for?
00:06:14.680 He's known for pulling troops out of the Middle East.
00:06:17.220 He's known for establishing historic peace treaties, not only in the Middle East, also
00:06:22.420 in Serbia, Kosovo.
00:06:24.140 He's known for actually doing what he says he was going to do as president.
00:06:28.140 And the liberals cannot take it.
00:06:30.980 They do not get to lecture us.
00:06:33.500 So, of course, they're burning down another city.
00:06:36.100 I think I can stop writing my show.
00:06:37.820 I don't think I need to plan my show out before we go live.
00:06:40.200 I don't even think I need to read the news anymore.
00:06:42.760 I think as long as I have a producer just sub in the new city, whatever the new city
00:06:48.060 is every day, I can keep the exact same structure of my show, which is Democrats are burning
00:06:53.020 another city.
00:06:53.940 And today's city is, spin the wheel, Louisville.
00:06:56.840 Louisville.
00:06:57.180 Well, yes, they're burning down that city.
00:06:59.180 This time, not because a cop used force, justly or unjustly.
00:07:04.160 Most of the time, the vast majority of the time, it turns out cops are justly using force,
00:07:08.860 but that doesn't matter.
00:07:09.660 They always riot over it anyway.
00:07:11.060 Anyway, this is not because a cop used force.
00:07:14.940 This is not because a cop got off the hook for using force, justly or unjustly.
00:07:21.480 Right now, the radical left is burning down Louisville and shooting people and killing
00:07:26.360 people, trying to kill people, because a cop was only charged with a class D felony for
00:07:34.560 using force rather than a more serious felony.
00:07:38.000 The cop didn't even get off the hook for using force, which may well have been justified.
00:07:43.120 But what do they want to do?
00:07:44.240 I guess they want him to be hanged, drawn, and quartered.
00:07:46.940 This comes back to the Breonna Taylor case, which has been probably, in a way, even more
00:07:52.500 than George Floyd, the central issue of the past six months of BLM riots.
00:07:57.220 It's the one where they say, say her name, Breonna Taylor.
00:08:00.280 Now, of course, everyone's saying her name, so I don't know why they have to say, say her
00:08:02.540 name.
00:08:02.860 But the case of Breonna Taylor is, Breonna Taylor was dating and very, very possibly
00:08:08.640 working with this drug trafficker.
00:08:11.200 And there are people who have gone on the record to say she was working with the drug
00:08:14.080 trafficker.
00:08:14.960 And this drug trafficker may have been using her identity and her address to deal in these
00:08:20.400 drugs.
00:08:21.140 She's with the drug trafficker in the apartment.
00:08:24.080 The cops get a no-knock warrant to search the place.
00:08:26.860 So this is why no-knock warrants, where you don't have to knock and say who you are before
00:08:31.060 you go in, that's why they've been a hot-button political issue.
00:08:33.680 But it's pretty stupid that they've become a hot-button political issue, because the issue
00:08:37.420 here was the cops didn't use a no-knock warrant.
00:08:41.840 The cops knocked, which allowed this drug trafficker to grab a gun and start shooting at the cops.
00:08:49.480 So then the cops shoot back, and sadly, this guy's girlfriend, Breonna Taylor, goes down
00:08:55.960 in the scuffle.
00:08:56.900 We don't know totally her involvement in the drug trafficking operation.
00:09:00.920 We just know that she's, we know at the very least she's involved with this guy, but we
00:09:05.280 don't know exactly to what extent.
00:09:06.800 So what happens yesterday?
00:09:09.680 Or two, yes, it was yesterday that this grand jury report came out.
00:09:13.420 So hard the days all blend together, because the riots happen so quickly now.
00:09:17.760 Actually, the riots were about to preempt the grand jury decision.
00:09:22.060 There was already a state of emergency declared in Louisville, because they knew that anything
00:09:27.640 that happens in this case is going to cause people to go out in the street.
00:09:30.860 So this police officer gets charged on three counts of wanton endangerment in the first
00:09:37.080 degree in the death of Breonna Taylor.
00:09:40.740 This sergeant is Brett Hankison.
00:09:44.800 And so while he was charged with wanton endangerment in the first degree, he was not charged with
00:09:50.360 a more serious felony related to homicide.
00:09:54.400 And so this is a class D felony.
00:09:56.240 He could serve five years in prison.
00:09:57.580 Bail is set at $15,000.
00:09:59.940 Sounds about right.
00:10:01.700 It might be even a little bit harsh.
00:10:03.320 I don't know.
00:10:03.680 I haven't seen the details of the case, but I haven't seen any evidence that this cop was
00:10:09.320 some murderer going around because he's a racist and he really hates black ladies.
00:10:13.260 The riots began.
00:10:15.820 Rioters in Louisville shoot two cops.
00:10:18.700 As of now, as of now, I'm sure, I'm sure more violence will be to come.
00:10:23.980 This is not spontaneous.
00:10:26.620 This is not a grassroots uprising.
00:10:28.960 This is not a cri de coeur of a, of an oppressed people who are finally rising up now.
00:10:34.140 This is a highly planned event in keeping with a highly planned insurrection and a very well-funded
00:10:42.760 insurrection going on around the country, planned out and executed by people who want
00:10:48.200 to destroy the United States of America, who are very open about it, by the way.
00:10:55.000 That is the truth, okay?
00:10:57.900 Another word for truth is Veritas.
00:10:59.240 And from Veritas Publishing, we've got to tell you about our wonderful friends over at
00:11:02.880 Thinker.
00:11:03.200 Thinker, thinker.org, T-H-I-N-K-R, because there's no time for that E.
00:11:08.220 We don't have time for this.
00:11:09.160 I love Thinker.
00:11:10.400 Thinker actually is a sponsor also of my Prager U show, the book club.
00:11:14.520 So I have been familiar with Thinker for a long time and a big fan of them because in
00:11:19.360 our fast-paced world today, people don't have time to read.
00:11:22.440 I know it because my job is to read and I still don't really have time to read.
00:11:25.900 At thinker.org, what they do is they summarize the key ideas from new and noteworthy nonfiction.
00:11:31.940 They give you access to an entire library of great books in bite-sized form.
00:11:35.840 You can read or listen if you're on the go, you're driving, wherever.
00:11:39.860 You can read or listen to hundreds of titles in a matter of minutes.
00:11:44.560 You get old classics like Dale Carnegie's How to Win Friends and Influence People.
00:11:48.600 A great book if you're interested in politics or sales or business, great book to read.
00:11:52.700 Or recent bestsellers like Jordan Peterson's 12 Rules for Life.
00:11:56.220 They offer a variety of titles across many, many categories, including Ben Shapiro's Right
00:12:00.960 Side of History, including Matt Walsh's The Unholy Trinity, and I hope, including my
00:12:06.080 upcoming book, which we'll be talking about in the coming days and weeks.
00:12:10.600 If you want to challenge your perceptions, if you want to expand your horizons, most importantly,
00:12:13.660 if you want to sound smart at cocktail parties, go to thinker.org, T-H-I-N-K-R.org.
00:12:20.440 Start a free trial, download the app today, let them know you heard about them on the Michael
00:12:23.700 Knowles Show.
00:12:24.320 Tell them, let them know, thinker.org.
00:12:27.580 All right.
00:12:29.980 This is all planned out.
00:12:31.680 This is being planned from the very top.
00:12:33.600 We actually saw a video from Louisville of a U-Haul truck being pulled up and Antifa
00:12:40.960 slash BLM slash general leftist insurrectionists passing out pre-made signs, passing out armor,
00:12:49.000 passing out tools that these riders can use to attack cops and to attack civilians that
00:12:55.840 they don't like.
00:12:56.420 So here they come, all these guys.
00:13:03.880 Now, they're in uniforms, by the way, the Antifa guys, with some exceptions, maybe one
00:13:07.960 or two exceptions.
00:13:08.780 They're all wearing black, all black, and they're taking out these signs, abolish the
00:13:13.120 police.
00:13:15.080 Abolition now, meaning abolition of our criminal justice system, of our law enforcement system,
00:13:20.820 which, what does that mean?
00:13:22.540 I get it.
00:13:23.040 Look, everybody hates the cops when they get pulled over.
00:13:26.160 Everybody hates the cops when they get a parking ticket.
00:13:29.340 Everybody is really upset at our law enforcement system sometimes.
00:13:33.520 And yet, we're very grateful to the cops and to our law enforcement system because they allow
00:13:38.900 us to have our property protected, to have our lives protected, to exist in the system that
00:13:44.140 is so wonderful.
00:13:45.780 Attacks on law enforcement are seductive because sometimes everyone gets irritated at the cops.
00:13:51.260 But what they are really is a symbol for an attack on our law, on our nation itself.
00:14:01.020 The cops, the law enforcement are the symbol of the nation of laws that we have.
00:14:07.960 And so, they attack the cops.
00:14:10.900 Somebody's paying for these U-Hauls.
00:14:12.940 Somebody's paying for these people to communicate.
00:14:16.060 Somebody is organizing them.
00:14:19.180 This group is Antifa.
00:14:21.740 They are working in tandem over the past six months with BLM, an avowedly Marxist organization.
00:14:28.640 We are told that Antifa does not exist.
00:14:34.240 That's what the mainstream left has told us.
00:14:36.220 They don't exist, right?
00:14:38.720 Well, if they don't exist, if it's just a little local phenomenon that pops up in Portland,
00:14:43.700 then how come it pops up in Louisville?
00:14:44.940 If it pops up in Louisville, and this is a Louisville issue, right?
00:14:48.900 This issue of the Breonna Taylor case.
00:14:50.480 Why were there riots yesterday in Washington, D.C. as well?
00:14:54.740 And if there's not an organization called Antifa, how come they wave a flag?
00:15:00.540 CNN, CNN actually had to admit this.
00:15:03.740 And they had been pushing this whole thing.
00:15:05.380 Antifa's not real.
00:15:06.180 Forget about Antifa.
00:15:07.380 Well, finally, during the mayhem in D.C. last night, CNN admits that these people are organized,
00:15:14.160 and they're organized under the same banner.
00:15:16.880 There are restaurants and bars and apartments chanting all sorts of things,
00:15:20.540 anti-gentrification slogans, anti-police slogans.
00:15:24.480 Some have been banging on street signs with batons and bats.
00:15:30.660 Fireworks have been fired off.
00:15:32.540 We've seen graffiti sprayed on a variety of buildings,
00:15:35.740 and even seen an Antifa flag clearly being flown and waved at the front of the march.
00:15:42.320 But I thought they didn't exist.
00:15:44.620 How do they have a flag?
00:15:45.940 If they're not a real organization, how come they have uniforms and equipment and a flag and funding?
00:15:51.640 And they're in multiple cities.
00:15:53.280 They're all over the country because, of course, they do exist.
00:15:56.740 So CNN had to change its tune on this.
00:15:59.080 And CNN actually showed the flag.
00:16:02.640 Later on in the clip, you can actually see it in the coverage.
00:16:06.920 Antifa walks right by the camera waving their flag.
00:16:09.520 I want to go to CNN's Alex Marquardt in Washington, where protesters have taken...
00:16:14.760 There's Don Lemon cutting right back to him.
00:16:18.060 Yeah, Don, you know, protesters took to the streets in huge numbers in the wake of George Floyd's death,
00:16:24.520 and they are back out in the streets of Washington tonight.
00:16:28.540 This is the crowd that is out here at 11 p.m. Eastern time.
00:16:32.640 This group gathered around four hours ago.
00:16:35.100 There it is.
00:16:35.460 They've been on the march now for the past two,
00:16:37.080 leaving from the White House and really doing a big loop around Washington, D.C.
00:16:41.460 Anti-Fed, just these protesters.
00:16:43.540 At least they weren't burning down any buildings in that particular shot,
00:16:46.560 so he could almost credibly call them protesters.
00:16:48.960 And you see Don Lemon cutting to it.
00:16:50.720 Don Lemon, who previously defended Antifa.
00:16:55.320 This is a little bit of a change in tune for CNN.
00:16:58.420 Not totally, because they're not totally condemning them here.
00:17:00.440 But Don Lemon went on TV, went on CNN, and defended this Antifa organization,
00:17:07.040 which targets civilians to achieve political ends.
00:17:10.740 Do you know what that's called?
00:17:12.060 That's terrorism.
00:17:13.020 That's the base definition of terrorism.
00:17:15.160 Antifa, which tears down property, which burns down buildings, which attacks cops,
00:17:22.820 which tries to kill civilians, which sometimes succeeds at killing civilians.
00:17:26.880 Don Lemon said, hey, not every organization's perfect.
00:17:31.160 It says it right in the name, Antifa, anti-fascism, which is what they were there fighting.
00:17:37.260 Listen, there's, you know, no organization is perfect.
00:17:39.720 There was some violence.
00:17:40.960 No one condones the violence.
00:17:42.400 But there were different reasons for Antifa and for these neo-Nazis to be there.
00:17:48.180 One, racist, fascist.
00:17:51.140 The other group, fighting racist, fascist.
00:17:54.140 There is a fascist.
00:17:55.200 There's a distinction there.
00:17:57.040 Hey, look, Antifa, they're really good.
00:17:58.980 They're anti-fascist.
00:18:00.120 Okay, yeah, sometimes they kill civilians.
00:18:02.260 That's, I guess that's, that's not good, you know.
00:18:04.580 But no one's perfect.
00:18:05.580 And look, nobody condones violence.
00:18:07.560 But also, Antifa's really good.
00:18:08.880 That was the, that was the compliment sandwich that Don Lemon prepared for Antifa, right?
00:18:14.860 Big compliment, minor criticism, big compliment.
00:18:18.460 But let's zoom in on that minor criticism.
00:18:21.320 No organization's perfect.
00:18:22.400 I guess that's true.
00:18:24.140 Yeah, okay, they're a little violent.
00:18:25.300 Yep, they're more than a little violent.
00:18:27.260 No one condones violence.
00:18:28.760 Well, that's not true.
00:18:30.940 The left is condoning violence.
00:18:33.120 Not radicals, even.
00:18:34.460 Not extremists.
00:18:36.360 But leftists on Don Lemon's own network.
00:18:41.380 I mean, he and his compliments is tacitly condoning the violence.
00:18:45.480 But even his ostensibly more moderate counterpart, Chris Cuomo, is explicitly condoning the violence.
00:18:54.440 Just a few weeks ago, Chris Cuomo goes on TV to defend the riots.
00:19:00.300 And he says, wait a second.
00:19:01.820 Since when do protests have to be peaceful?
00:19:03.720 And please, show me where it says that protests are supposed to be polite and peaceful.
00:19:09.260 The First Amendment, that's where it says that you have a right to peaceably assemble, not a right to burn down cities.
00:19:16.400 But just more evidence that, well, the left is going to tell you, as the cities burn and their poll numbers go down, so they have to start slightly going after Antifa.
00:19:24.760 And they say, look, no one condones violence.
00:19:26.340 They have been condoning violence this entire time, and they've been encouraging it the entire time.
00:19:31.260 And now they're going to try to lie to you and tell you that they haven't.
00:19:33.920 And they're going to tell you that Orange Man bad because he doesn't want a peaceful transfer of power.
00:19:37.420 The left is engaging in political violence to steal political power away from the duly elected president.
00:19:46.420 And they've been doing it for six months at least.
00:19:49.940 I don't ever want to hear that word come out of their mouth again.
00:19:54.160 Peace.
00:19:54.800 Peaceful.
00:19:55.200 People, they've lost their privileges, to use that word.
00:19:58.320 They've lost their privileges to lecture me on the peaceful transfer of power.
00:20:04.400 When you use violence and you try to steal an election, I'm done.
00:20:07.680 There's no, why are we even having this conversation with them anymore?
00:20:11.280 Next time some reporter asks Trump that question, he shouldn't even give it, he should just move on.
00:20:15.820 Move on to the next reporter who's going to ask another stupid question.
00:20:20.760 And I actually don't even mean just to attack the mainstream media here.
00:20:24.680 They are just tools pushing this violence.
00:20:28.360 The intellectual heft pushing this violence goes much deeper, goes into the heart of academia.
00:20:33.860 So you might be asking, okay, there's this totally fine grand jury decision that comes out in the Breonna Taylor case,
00:20:40.760 which has been completely misrepresented by the mainstream media.
00:20:44.440 And that's fine.
00:20:45.220 That's in Louisville.
00:20:46.200 Why are there riots in D.C.?
00:20:48.020 Well, okay, I'll do you one more.
00:20:49.800 Why is the president of Ohio State University weighing in on the alleged injustice of a case that she knows nothing about?
00:21:00.600 That's exactly what happened when Ohio State President Christina Johnson said, more or less,
00:21:06.740 in a kind of boring, academic, but nonetheless radical way, no justice, no peace.
00:21:12.000 Breonna Taylor deserves justice, and this does not feel like justice.
00:21:17.540 We cannot accept what has happened in Louisville.
00:21:20.940 We grieve the tragic and senseless loss of Breonna Taylor, a daughter, a friend, a niece, a loved one, who is unarmed and asleep.
00:21:31.180 The breakdown in the justice system and the killings of unarmed black and brown people in our country has become all too familiar, tragically.
00:21:41.300 This isn't going to stop until we create an anti-racist world.
00:21:45.680 We must come together to draw strength from each other and advance our collective vision for a better world where we one day have justice for all.
00:21:54.740 There is much work to be done.
00:21:57.140 That's so creepy.
00:21:58.020 She's talking like a brainwashed person.
00:22:01.540 It's funny because she's leading one of the institutions that does the brainwashing, but she's just some administrative hack, right?
00:22:07.580 I mean, she's just the president of the university.
00:22:09.860 Used to be that presidents of the university were serious academics.
00:22:12.600 This woman, I don't think so.
00:22:14.280 But she just repeats the talking points.
00:22:16.840 And notice that she goes, this will never go away.
00:22:19.340 We can never have justice until we have an anti-racist world.
00:22:24.020 Anti-racist.
00:22:24.600 Now, in that phrase, nobody would object to that, right?
00:22:28.060 But anti-racist obviously doesn't mean anti-racist.
00:22:30.420 It means the opposite of that.
00:22:31.300 It means a very racist world.
00:22:33.440 And beyond that, a very violent world, a very unjust world.
00:22:36.740 But they use the term anti-racist.
00:22:38.360 In the same way that Antifa uses the term anti-fascist.
00:22:41.580 You got Antifa, you got Antira.
00:22:44.220 Antira is the anti-racists.
00:22:46.460 But it doesn't mean anti-racist at all.
00:22:48.460 Both of those things, Antifa and Antira, very, very bad.
00:22:53.680 Because what they mean is a total racial bigotry, bigotry of other sorts as well.
00:23:01.740 And ultimately what it boils down to is injustice.
00:23:04.800 Rule by a mob that has a wicked, evil vision of the good.
00:23:08.980 Rule by a mob that is avowedly anarchistic, that is sometimes avowedly Marxist in the case
00:23:15.600 of BLM rule by very, very, very bad people who want to tear down everything good that
00:23:22.700 we cherish in the world.
00:23:23.760 You know, Marx, who is sort of the big mac daddy godfather of all of these movements,
00:23:30.020 Marx famously called for, we said it yesterday on the show, the ruthless criticism of all
00:23:35.280 that exists.
00:23:36.000 His conception of the good that he's trying to force on society is just the opposite of
00:23:43.100 what we've all thought the good is.
00:23:44.760 His conception of human nature, totally the opposite of what we thought human nature was.
00:23:48.780 His conception of justice, totally the opposite of actual justice.
00:23:52.240 That's what these guys are pushing.
00:23:54.140 That's why it matters.
00:23:55.480 When, you know, you say, oh, who cares?
00:23:56.560 Some, even when you say there's some riot in some city, you say, okay, why do I care?
00:24:00.720 It doesn't affect me.
00:24:01.320 It doesn't, it does, because the intellectual poison of this movement is spreading throughout
00:24:07.220 the entire country, and it threatens to tear the whole thing down.
00:24:12.580 When you are about to lose something that you cherish, the key to it is not to wait until
00:24:19.200 after the fact.
00:24:20.160 The key to fixing that is prevention.
00:24:23.200 This is true when you're talking about losing a country.
00:24:26.060 It's also true when you're losing your hair.
00:24:28.600 How was that segue?
00:24:30.280 I was looking forward to that one so much.
00:24:32.720 Keeps, that's what I'm talking about, keeps.
00:24:35.140 Two-thirds of men can lose their hair very, very early.
00:24:40.700 You're talking between 25 and 35 years old.
00:24:43.240 You don't think of it that way.
00:24:44.200 You think you're only going to lose your hair when you're older.
00:24:45.920 You've got to start early if you want to keep your hair.
00:24:48.940 You used to have to go to a doctor's office for your hair loss prescription.
00:24:52.460 Now, thanks to keeps, you can visit a doctor online and get hair loss medication delivered
00:24:57.520 right to your home.
00:24:58.680 They make it very easy.
00:25:00.600 They deliver it every three months.
00:25:02.980 Keeps uses the only two FDA-approved hair loss products.
00:25:07.860 Maybe you've tried them before.
00:25:08.960 You've never tried them at this price.
00:25:11.960 Now, keeps treatments, I will warn you right up front, they can take four to six months to
00:25:17.980 really start working.
00:25:19.300 So you've got to start fast.
00:25:21.080 But this is the way to do it.
00:25:22.460 This is the way to keep your hair.
00:25:24.000 You know I'm not like a hulking Olympian Adonis of a man, okay?
00:25:27.220 One thing I've always had going for me in the lady department, though, got a nice full head
00:25:31.260 of poofy hair over here.
00:25:32.700 You should keep your hair as well.
00:25:34.500 It's very important, guys.
00:25:35.980 The treatments start at just $10 a month, okay?
00:25:38.380 It is worth $10 a month to you to keep your hair.
00:25:41.080 I promise you, you're going to regret it down the line if you don't do it.
00:25:43.260 If you're ready to take action and prevent hair loss, go to keeps.com slash Knowles,
00:25:47.480 K-N-A-W-L-E-S.
00:25:48.560 Receive your first month of treatment for free.
00:25:50.300 K-E-E-P-S dot com slash Knowles.
00:25:54.760 Keep your hair.
00:25:55.920 And we should try to keep our country.
00:26:00.180 In the meantime, though, while the left is actively organizing to tear down the country,
00:26:07.600 the so-called moderate leftist politicians are dithering away.
00:26:12.480 One of them, sometimes we call him Governor Hairgel or Nussolini.
00:26:18.620 I consider him to be Patrick Bateman from American Psycho.
00:26:21.780 Whenever I see Gavin Newsom on screen, all I can think of is,
00:26:26.740 hey, you ever listen to Huey Lewis in the news?
00:26:29.580 You know, hey, Paul, and then chops with you with an ax.
00:26:32.440 That is Governor Newsom.
00:26:33.700 He is dithering.
00:26:34.480 He is now talking about, we're not protecting the country from burning down because of leftist
00:26:38.860 marauders, not protecting the state of California from burning down because of his forest mismanagement,
00:26:44.000 which he's even admitted to in the past.
00:26:46.500 He's going to ban cars.
00:26:48.500 That's what he's going to do.
00:26:49.580 That's how he's going to fix the country.
00:26:50.760 He's going to ban cars in 15 years.
00:26:54.380 Thank you, Governor Newsom.
00:26:56.500 A goal, firm goal, that by 2035, in the next 15 years, we will eliminate in the state of
00:27:04.020 California the sales of internal combustion engines.
00:27:07.540 We will move forward to green and decarbonize our vehicle fleet here in the state of California.
00:27:14.040 As a consequence, substantially reducing greenhouse gas emissions as well as oxide nitrogen, meaning
00:27:21.260 NOx emissions here in the state of California.
00:27:24.740 In so doing, we'll improve air quality as well as improve the economic climate here in
00:27:30.880 the state of California.
00:27:31.820 This is both stupid and meaningless.
00:27:35.120 It's somehow managed to be both.
00:27:38.580 It's stupid in that he says that by banning automobiles, by banning the vast, vast majority
00:27:43.960 of automobiles, he's going to improve the economy of California.
00:27:47.400 I don't think so.
00:27:48.460 And I think the other measures he's taking to improve the economy of California have plunged
00:27:53.300 it into the depths of despair.
00:27:55.420 He's saying it's going to improve air quality.
00:27:57.300 Do you know what's causing there to be bad air quality right now in California?
00:28:01.220 Do you know why I'm getting alerts on my phone because of bad air quality?
00:28:04.260 The fires that are burning down because of his forest mismanagement and, in fairness to
00:28:09.240 Newsom, decades of democratic forest mismanagement in California.
00:28:13.440 That's why the air quality is bad.
00:28:14.980 It's not because somebody is driving a Honda.
00:28:18.460 It's not because we don't all have Teslas.
00:28:21.480 So it's very stupid.
00:28:22.880 But where Newsom really manages to achieve something is it's also meaningless.
00:28:28.500 He says we've got to do it by 2035.
00:28:30.820 He's not going to be in office in 2035.
00:28:33.340 Whoever is in office in 2035 very likely will have to rescind this stupid order because
00:28:37.640 you can't ban cars if you want to keep your economy moving at all.
00:28:42.320 And the electric cars are, the technology is not perfected.
00:28:46.140 And usually they're worse for the environment than the regular normal cars that burn gas.
00:28:52.880 Because the parts in the electric cars are much more deleterious to the environment than
00:28:59.680 just burning, burning the gas on your regular old Ford or Honda or Chevy.
00:29:05.320 What this is about is setting up Newsom to run for president in 2024 or possibly even 2028.
00:29:11.660 But still, both of those days long before 2035.
00:29:14.920 It's a ridiculous plan.
00:29:16.780 How about the leader of the Democratic Party?
00:29:19.520 How about him?
00:29:19.940 Does he have any better ideas?
00:29:21.000 No, he's trying to fend off corruption charges when it is that he can remember where he is,
00:29:26.780 which is not too frequently.
00:29:28.160 Joe Biden was asked some months ago about Hunter Biden's corruption.
00:29:31.820 We got some big news on Hunter Biden's corruption yesterday.
00:29:35.100 Joe Biden was asked some months ago about his son Hunter.
00:29:38.040 Because don't forget, it's not just about having a bad son who makes some bad deals.
00:29:41.000 The son was trading on the father's influence when the father was point man on the issues
00:29:47.540 that Hunter Biden was cashing in on, when the father was the vice president.
00:29:52.040 So it's not just Hunter Biden's corruption.
00:29:53.960 It's Joe Biden's corruption as well.
00:29:56.220 What's Joe's answer?
00:29:57.180 He doesn't have one.
00:29:58.500 I don't know what he was doing.
00:30:00.080 I know he was on the board.
00:30:01.380 I found out he was on the board after he was on the board.
00:30:04.080 And that was it.
00:30:05.420 And there's nobody.
00:30:06.260 Well, you've had a lot of time.
00:30:07.440 Isn't this something you want to get to the bottom of?
00:30:09.020 No, because I trust my son.
00:30:11.340 But that doesn't pass the smell test.
00:30:13.260 Like when you're vice president, isn't there a higher standard?
00:30:15.620 Don't you need to know what's happening with your family?
00:30:17.900 Don't you need to put down some guardrails?
00:30:21.080 Unless there was something that was there was something on its face that was wrong.
00:30:25.540 There's nothing on its face that was wrong.
00:30:27.880 So look, if you want to talk about problems, you know, let's talk about Trump's family.
00:30:33.900 If you want to talk about problems,
00:30:35.520 please don't ask me about my son who was obviously trading my influence for lots of money.
00:30:40.860 He said there's nothing wrong on its face.
00:30:42.620 Okay, so I don't want to.
00:30:43.420 I trust my son.
00:30:45.000 Well, there turns out there is something wrong on its face.
00:30:48.160 There's a lot wrong on its face and he shouldn't have trusted his son.
00:30:51.360 We found out why Joe Biden kept deflecting.
00:30:54.660 His ridiculous answer that he had no idea what Hunter Biden was up to.
00:30:58.400 First of all, Hunter Biden admitted that his father knew what he was up to.
00:31:01.400 So eventually then Joe Biden had to change his tune and say,
00:31:03.760 yeah, I knew, but it wasn't a big deal.
00:31:05.220 So according to the Senate report on Hunter Biden,
00:31:08.380 Hunter Biden allegedly sent thousands of dollars to people who were involved in sex trafficking.
00:31:15.260 This according to Wednesday's report by Senate Republicans.
00:31:18.660 The report claims unspecified records show that Biden sent funds to non-resident alien women in the
00:31:24.700 U.S. who are citizens of Russia and Ukraine, who subsequently then wired funds that they received
00:31:30.700 from Hunter Biden to individuals located in Russia and Ukraine.
00:31:35.260 Now, people are making a big deal out of this because sex trafficking is in the news because of,
00:31:40.220 you know, Jeffrey Epstein and all this other crazy stuff that involves a lot of Democrats.
00:31:45.660 That's not the most damning thing.
00:31:47.580 I mean, it's damning in the sense that it's very bad, but it's something we already knew about Hunter Biden,
00:31:51.880 which is the guy who went to strip clubs and hookers and he did that sort of thing.
00:31:55.040 So that, you know, you hear it as he was participating in the sex trafficking ring.
00:31:58.500 Really what happened is he just sent thousands of dollars to Russian hookers.
00:32:02.180 That's nothing we didn't know.
00:32:03.820 Okay, that was not bombshell stuff.
00:32:07.260 But there is some bombshell stuff involving Russia.
00:32:09.680 You follow the Russia trail, get past the hookers, get into the much more serious corruption.
00:32:14.400 Hunter Biden received a $3.5 million wire transfer from Alina Bachurina, the richest woman in Russia,
00:32:22.240 the widow of Yuri Luzkov, former mayor of Moscow.
00:32:25.760 This is according to the Senate Republicans' report.
00:32:28.780 Bachurina is mentioned in this 87-page report and it addresses this payment to Biden,
00:32:34.000 which occurred in 2014 while his father, Joe Biden, was vice president.
00:32:39.500 And what we're seeing again and again is more evidence of a typical Democrat strategy,
00:32:46.380 which is accuse your opponent of your own corruption.
00:32:51.420 Accuse your opponent of your own vices.
00:32:53.260 Accuse your opponent of your own crimes.
00:32:56.900 How long did we hear about the Russia hoax?
00:32:59.780 Trump colluding with Russia.
00:33:01.500 We now have proof.
00:33:02.860 We now have proof positive that Democrats were the ones colluding with Russia,
00:33:09.020 which we should have known about because they've been pro-Russia for 100 years.
00:33:12.100 They've been defending Russia for 100 years.
00:33:14.780 During Stalin's reign, they were defending Russia.
00:33:18.120 At the beginning of the Obama administration, they wanted to reset with Russia.
00:33:22.340 Barack Obama promised Medvedev.
00:33:24.540 He said, tell Putin that I'm going to be more flexible after my election.
00:33:27.820 I've got to lie to the American people in the meantime,
00:33:29.740 but I'm going to be really soft on him after my election in 2012.
00:33:34.300 Of course, they're soft.
00:33:35.120 They're always soft on Russia.
00:33:36.460 And now we see that Hunter Biden receives millions and millions of dollars
00:33:39.620 from the richest woman in Russia while his father is vice president.
00:33:43.760 Why do you get that money?
00:33:44.760 Why do you get that money?
00:33:45.400 I don't know.
00:33:46.160 But I know for a fact that the Democrats had to deflect by accusing Trump
00:33:49.800 of crimes that he never committed.
00:33:52.480 Turns out they did commit them.
00:33:54.860 It's the same thing with the peaceful transfer of power.
00:33:57.020 Mr. President, why won't you commit to the peaceful transfer of power?
00:34:00.520 Because you won't.
00:34:02.280 Not even that you won't commit to the peaceful transfer of power.
00:34:05.980 You're promising me you won't transfer power.
00:34:08.100 Hillary Clinton said explicitly,
00:34:10.120 Joe Biden should not concede under any circumstances.
00:34:12.320 Doesn't matter if there's a Trump landslide.
00:34:13.740 Don't concede.
00:34:15.180 The Democrats are funding rioters in the streets.
00:34:18.480 And where they're not funding their actual equipment,
00:34:23.520 they're funding their positive press coverage.
00:34:25.980 They're funding their propaganda arm, which might be called CNN.
00:34:31.540 That's what's going on.
00:34:34.580 Peaceful transfer of power?
00:34:35.820 I don't think so.
00:34:36.580 We are now at the stage where anything the Democrats accuse this president of,
00:34:40.820 I have got to assume they are committing themselves.
00:34:43.520 We've got to get to the mailbag.
00:34:44.380 So head on over to dailywire.com right now.
00:34:48.140 You know, by the way, you've got to go if you're watching this on YouTube.
00:34:50.240 Subscribe to the Michael Knowles Show YouTube channel.
00:34:52.000 Ring the bell over there.
00:34:53.380 September 28th, we're going to switch over.
00:34:55.440 Only broadcast this show exclusively on the Michael Knowles Show YouTube channel.
00:34:59.140 Not because I'm leaving the Daily Wire, I assure you.
00:35:01.760 Just because we've got to get around big tech.
00:35:03.880 Head on over there.
00:35:05.160 By the way, don't forget September 29th, after the big debate,
00:35:09.020 if the big debate happens, we're going to have a backstage.
00:35:11.420 I guess we'll have a backstage in any case.
00:35:12.860 So get ready for that.
00:35:14.180 Head on over to dailywire.com.
00:35:15.940 We'll be right back with a lot more.
00:35:29.640 First question from Grant.
00:35:31.060 Hey, Michael, I'm in a slight dilemma.
00:35:34.040 I'm currently seeing an amazing Catholic girl who I want to be serious with.
00:35:37.160 However, I have trouble overcoming my ex's hateful actions against me.
00:35:40.900 Lying, cheating, leading me on.
00:35:42.620 The manner in which she handled our breakup, what she did after our breakup, etc.
00:35:46.880 And it's hindering my new relationship because I'm still so angry at my ex.
00:35:50.340 My ex and I dated for five years until last November.
00:35:52.940 Should I man up and do the Christian thing and wish her well, forgive her?
00:35:55.780 What's the best way to do this?
00:35:57.820 Yeah, you clearly know the answer.
00:35:59.580 You set me up for it and then you asked how to achieve it.
00:36:02.060 Yes, you should man up and you should do the Christian thing and wish her well and forgive her.
00:36:08.620 Maybe more for you than for her.
00:36:10.860 You know, you got to forgive her because it sounds like you're really hung up on this girl.
00:36:14.280 I mean, yeah, sure.
00:36:15.920 There are plenty of awful, awful girlfriends in the world.
00:36:19.160 And maybe she lied to you.
00:36:20.660 Maybe she cheated on you.
00:36:22.240 Maybe she led you on again.
00:36:24.300 Maybe she didn't take your breakup well.
00:36:26.820 Maybe she did crazy stuff after your breakup.
00:36:28.860 Maybe she boiled your rabbit.
00:36:30.020 I don't know.
00:36:31.800 You got to man up.
00:36:33.020 Just got to say, okay, well, dodged a bullet there.
00:36:36.400 Sure glad I didn't marry her.
00:36:37.900 You're a lucky man.
00:36:38.860 You should be, you should thank this woman for, for showing you who she was before you
00:36:44.100 got married and stuck with her forever.
00:36:46.260 Sounds from this like you're Catholic.
00:36:47.900 When you're Catholic, that's it.
00:36:50.240 You can't leave the marriage.
00:36:51.400 There's no divorce, pal.
00:36:52.280 Well, you can't, that is not an option for you.
00:36:54.880 So the fact that you were able to avoid marrying this apparently awful woman is a great thing.
00:37:00.160 You should thank her for that.
00:37:00.920 Say, thank you so much, lady, for showing me what a terrible lady that you are.
00:37:05.780 Not much of a lady at all, perhaps.
00:37:07.400 And now you can be very thankful that you got this great Catholic girl.
00:37:10.320 Just, yeah, get over the ex-man.
00:37:11.700 Come on.
00:37:12.640 Everybody has ex-girlfriends.
00:37:13.820 Everybody's got a past.
00:37:14.840 Just move on, Pat.
00:37:15.920 How do you get over this?
00:37:17.160 Well, I will give you some pagan advice on this.
00:37:20.140 You seem to know the Catholic advice.
00:37:23.380 You've already said it to me.
00:37:24.420 You wish her well.
00:37:25.180 You forgive her.
00:37:25.840 You work through this.
00:37:26.560 You obviously order all of your loves toward God.
00:37:29.840 A great little bit of reading on how to order your love, including your erotic love, toward
00:37:36.440 the beloved, but then ultimately through the beloved and up toward the highest good, who
00:37:39.520 is God, is Dante.
00:37:41.520 Dante does that very well.
00:37:43.580 It's a wonderful poem.
00:37:44.640 I recommend it all the time.
00:37:46.060 But then if you want a little bit of pagan advice, a little classical antiquity for some
00:37:51.780 advice.
00:37:53.580 Ovid, the Latin writer, has a book called Remedia Amoris, The Cure for Love.
00:38:00.440 I'm not recommending that you do every single thing he says.
00:38:03.640 Some of it, you know, is maybe not exactly kosher, but it's a very funny book.
00:38:07.940 It's an enjoyable book to read, and it does give very good practical advice for how to
00:38:11.720 get over a bad breakup.
00:38:16.540 Some very basic stuff that he says that's probably morally illicit.
00:38:22.900 Tear up all of her photos.
00:38:24.800 Don't keep her photos.
00:38:25.660 Don't look at her Facebook page.
00:38:26.740 Don't look at her Instagram.
00:38:28.320 Don't think about her all the time.
00:38:30.480 Burn all.
00:38:30.960 Get rid of that.
00:38:31.580 Who cares?
00:38:32.360 That lady's done.
00:38:34.060 Get rid of your infatuation with her.
00:38:36.320 You know, sometimes when you realize that someone's a terrible person, but you still
00:38:39.540 feel feelings of love for them, it's not love.
00:38:42.160 It's infatuation.
00:38:43.180 You're not thinking about the actual person.
00:38:45.120 You're just thinking about your own sentimental gloss that you've put over this person.
00:38:49.220 And that is sinful.
00:38:50.980 That's not a good thing.
00:38:53.060 So get rid of that.
00:38:55.040 He also has some advice that, you know, probably you shouldn't do, but, you know, your mileage
00:38:58.500 may vary.
00:38:59.200 Give it a read.
00:38:59.780 That's my advice for you.
00:39:00.780 From Daniel.
00:39:01.260 Dear Stogie Smoking Don of the Intellectual Dark Web,
00:39:05.080 Since the Democrats threatening to pack the Supreme Court if given the power in November,
00:39:11.200 should the Republicans, if we win the presidency, Senate, and House of Representatives, try to
00:39:16.120 amend the Constitution to solidify the court size to nine?
00:39:20.260 No, I don't see any reason to do that.
00:39:22.400 The Constitution doesn't set the court size.
00:39:24.260 I don't know that we need necessarily a fixed court size at nine.
00:39:29.400 If we win the presidency, the Senate, and the White House, we're going to be able to appoint another judge.
00:39:35.500 Breyer probably is the next up.
00:39:37.200 He's the next eldest judge.
00:39:38.220 He's a big lib.
00:39:39.280 So you could get another conservative there.
00:39:41.880 Then you've got a 7-2 court.
00:39:44.380 Now, you could waste your time trying to amend the Constitution.
00:39:47.880 It's very difficult to amend the Constitution.
00:39:49.220 That's why it hasn't been done very many times in American history in this divided country.
00:39:53.460 I don't know that you want to waste your political capital on that.
00:39:56.060 I don't think you would necessarily succeed.
00:39:58.240 Actually, Scalia, before he died, he was asked what—actually, he may have died.
00:40:02.400 I got to meet the guy twice.
00:40:03.940 And I think it was actually one time when I was there visiting him with a group of other students at the Supreme Court.
00:40:09.160 We said, what would you change about the Constitution?
00:40:10.900 He said, I'd make it easier to amend.
00:40:12.980 He actually thinks it's a weakness of the Constitution that it's so hard to amend.
00:40:15.780 But his observation, nevertheless, is true.
00:40:18.980 It's very difficult to amend.
00:40:20.200 So I wouldn't waste the political capital on that.
00:40:22.200 I would just enjoy a very conservative court if we win in November.
00:40:28.300 I would put your political capital and focus it on actual substantive policy goals,
00:40:33.480 both in the administrative government, through executive order, and then through legislation,
00:40:36.940 if you can win back the Senate and the House, if they want to legislate, which they usually don't.
00:40:41.080 And then I would make sure that we get a lot of great cases going up to the court
00:40:44.380 and a lot of great decisions out of it.
00:40:45.680 From Christy.
00:40:46.740 Hey, Michael.
00:40:47.840 We have another question from the Daily Wire Autonomous Zone.
00:40:50.880 DWAZ, as we call it.
00:40:52.140 Now that you're moving to Nashville, when do we get pictures of the whole crew in cowboy hats and boots?
00:40:56.800 Also, did Daily Wire pick Nashville so that you and Jeremy can take your duet on the road and play in some dive bars?
00:41:03.080 I'm sure we can help your band find a really good name.
00:41:05.140 Thanks.
00:41:05.480 I would love it if you could help name my duet, my folk rock band with Jeremy Boring.
00:41:11.320 If you could give us a name, maybe put it in the comments, email it in through Daily Wire or whatever,
00:41:15.600 I would really appreciate that because we're looking for a name.
00:41:18.580 I do have cowboy boots that I got from Takovas on this show, and they're very, very comfortable.
00:41:23.300 I don't know that I can pull the look off terribly well, but they are very, very comfortable,
00:41:28.380 and I think in Nashville I'm going to have to.
00:41:29.820 The cowboy hat is the harder one because my head is shaped like a peanut, so it's not built for hats.
00:41:35.220 That's kind of the problem, but I'll tell you what.
00:41:39.340 If you maybe Photoshop it on, give me a few options, maybe I'll be able to get there.
00:41:43.760 From Michael.
00:41:46.160 Great name.
00:41:47.300 Love the show.
00:41:47.880 Good luck in Nashville.
00:41:48.860 My question is, how do you think never-Trump Republicans at this point can still consider
00:41:52.260 themselves to be pro-life?
00:41:53.560 The candidate they're backing is clearly not pro-life.
00:41:55.840 Thanks.
00:41:56.100 Yeah, I mean, I don't know how they organize their thought because it's not logical and
00:42:03.900 it's not coherent, but the key is that it never was.
00:42:07.720 Never-Trump was always based on a moral error, a moral miscalculation.
00:42:14.160 I get that it was much harder in 2016.
00:42:17.220 We had all these knock-down, drag-out fights, obviously, not just in the Daily Wire, but in
00:42:20.760 the conservative movement broadly about never-Trump.
00:42:23.620 And I see the argument for never-Trump, especially in 2016, which is, I don't know, maybe he'll
00:42:30.000 be a Democrat, maybe he'll be more liberal than we think, he's too crass, he's this, he's
00:42:33.720 that, whatever.
00:42:35.400 But the moral miscalculation is that the never-Trump movement was based on the idea that the election
00:42:42.240 is not a binary choice, but it is.
00:42:45.760 The election in America, the presidential election, is a binary choice.
00:42:50.220 There are only two candidates who possibly can win.
00:42:54.460 There is no such thing as a third-party candidate.
00:42:56.700 There is no such thing as Egg McMuffin, or whatever that guy's name was, Evan McMullen,
00:43:01.200 in 20, he ran to be a spoiler for the Republicans, or Gary Johnson, or Joe Jorgensen, or whatever
00:43:08.020 the Libertarian Party, or the Green Party, or this or that.
00:43:10.780 That's not real.
00:43:13.720 When you vote for one of those guys, you are voting to take away a vote from your political
00:43:19.280 party, your two major political parties.
00:43:21.720 That's actually a good thing, because it gives people a choice.
00:43:23.840 The parties aren't perfect, they're far from it, but they give people an actual choice.
00:43:27.200 And the parties, as they become quote-unquote polarized, have made clearer choices.
00:43:33.100 You know, Phyllis Schlafly said early on in the post-war conservative movement, she said,
00:43:37.440 we need a choice, not an echo.
00:43:39.940 The two parties were too similar at that time.
00:43:42.520 You didn't know, if you vote for a Democrat, he might be more conservative than a Republican
00:43:45.100 in some cases.
00:43:46.680 So now the parties are pretty clear, you do have a choice.
00:43:49.560 And the Never Trump movement tried to pretend that there's no such thing as the binary choice,
00:43:55.200 that you win politics by losing.
00:43:57.140 The idea was, we'll lose this election, and then we're going to win stronger in four years.
00:44:00.140 That doesn't happen.
00:44:00.840 That's not how politics works.
00:44:02.180 You don't win by losing, you win by winning.
00:44:04.000 And you can only win when you take moral risk, and maybe things don't turn out well, and
00:44:08.940 maybe you have an egg on your face, and maybe you feel bad about it.
00:44:11.260 But the only way you're going to win is by embracing that imperfection, because politics
00:44:16.800 is not perfect abstract ideology, which is always divorced from reality.
00:44:23.620 It's not even perfect philosophy.
00:44:27.120 It's imperfect reality, flesh and bones, real decisions being made.
00:44:31.820 So it's wrong then, it's much clearer that it's wrong now.
00:44:34.960 And I don't know, who are the only, there are like three Never Trumpers left in the whole
00:44:38.560 country.
00:44:39.440 It's not real.
00:44:40.300 It's not real anymore, because I think people have recognized that.
00:44:43.580 From Sarah.
00:44:45.160 Congrats on moving to Nashville.
00:44:46.480 There's a lot of like Nashville questions today.
00:44:49.180 My question is, what do you think was the worst part of living in Los Angeles, and who
00:44:53.380 do you put the blame on for destroying arguably the best piece of land in the US?
00:44:57.680 Yeah, it is great land.
00:44:58.680 Luckily, you still get Orange County is so beautiful, and San Diego is very, very beautiful,
00:45:03.440 and Santa Barbara is very beautiful.
00:45:05.860 So LA, they've made it less and less beautiful, but it is gorgeous land that has been destroyed.
00:45:12.200 And it's destroyed because it's a company town for Hollywood, and Hollywood is owned by
00:45:16.400 the left.
00:45:17.380 And it's been owned by the left for at least 50 years now, at least since the 70s or so.
00:45:21.420 It wasn't always totally left-wing dominated, but it is now.
00:45:26.100 Once the studio system broke up, that was it.
00:45:28.720 I know you're probably asking for a political issue.
00:45:31.520 When did this issue or that issue, you know, they raised taxes, and that's what destroyed
00:45:36.140 LA.
00:45:36.580 That's not it.
00:45:37.480 You actually have to look a little past the politicians into what constitutes the town.
00:45:41.120 It is a showbiz town.
00:45:42.200 It's a Hollywood town.
00:45:43.600 And Hollywood has always been a morally compromised institution.
00:45:48.480 This goes back even when it was ostensibly conservative, that we would call it Gomorrah
00:45:53.660 by the sea.
00:45:54.840 You know, it's always had that reputation, the casting couch and all that kind of stuff.
00:45:57.820 Nothing about that is new.
00:45:59.660 But what changed was it used to be run with some business sensibility and with some patriotism
00:46:07.240 and with some understanding of how labor relates to the studios.
00:46:11.900 And that was called the studio system.
00:46:13.200 That was back when Hollywood was full of real jobs and real contracts, right?
00:46:18.300 Then after the studio system is broken up by the Supreme Court, then you've got this free-for-all.
00:46:24.620 And this really expands in the 70s and 80s and 90s.
00:46:27.000 And then people don't really have jobs.
00:46:28.540 So it's a bunch of vagrants in cafes writing screenplays that are never going to be produced.
00:46:32.580 People going on auditions for roles they're never going to get.
00:46:34.600 People trying to direct movies that no one's ever going to see.
00:46:37.020 And this creates a lot of chaos in Hollywood.
00:46:43.700 And Idle Hands are the Devil's Playground.
00:46:45.200 It increases the sort of vice of the city somehow.
00:46:49.700 It was already a somewhat vicious city.
00:46:51.820 And the political issues follow from there.
00:46:54.380 And it has gotten appreciably worse over time.
00:46:56.920 Now, of course, it's just needles and defecation and all sorts of craziness in the streets.
00:47:02.760 But not us in the streets anymore because we're getting out of there and a lot of people are as well.
00:47:07.080 I've got to get out of here today, but I will see you on Monday.

00:48:10.380 I think there are enough of those already out there.

00:48:17.060 So my main focuses are life, family, faith.

00:48:22.980 And that's what this show is about.
00:48:24.400 I hope you'll give it a listen.
