The Michael Knowles Show - Ep. 658 - Georgia On My Mind

00:00:00.000 President Trump is back on the campaign trail, this time in Georgia,

00:00:05.520 trying to prevent Democrats from taking control of the Senate.

00:00:09.800 Kelly's opponent, Raphael Warnock, is a dangerous extremist who is radically opposed to your values.

00:00:19.520 He said he believes that, quote, nobody can serve God and the military. Oh, really?

00:00:25.320 An appalling statement that dishonors the memory and generations of American heroes who fought for God and for our country.

00:00:36.100 Raphael Warnock has openly declared his support for socialism, and he has even praised Marxists all over the world.

00:00:44.520 He once hosted the barbaric communist dictator Fidel Castro. He likes Castro. He was a good man. He was a good guy, he said. 0.63

00:00:52.920 He falsely slandered patriotic Americans as racists. He called police officers gangsters, thugs, and bullies. 0.89

00:01:01.260 He supports abolishing cash bail. Look at what happened to New York with their cash bail.

00:01:06.620 No cash bail, no bail. Don't worry about it. You killed somebody. Don't worry about it. You know, you're on the honor code.

00:01:12.340 You're on the honor code. That's true.

00:01:14.520 And that, frankly, that's only a fraction of the radicalism that we've seen from Warnock.

00:01:20.340 This Georgia Senate race, these two Georgia Senate races, are going to be extraordinarily important because the Georgia races are not over.

00:01:28.580 The presidential race is not even over. We've got updates on all of it. I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:01:34.400 Welcome back to the show. My favorite comment from last Friday on our first Friday show is from Daryl Fortune, who says,

00:01:50.800 When someone asks me why I'm not wearing a mask, I always ask in response, why is yours not working?

00:01:56.680 Why are you so concerned about my mask? I thought you're wearing a mask. I thought the masks work.

00:02:00.680 Now, of course, what the left says is, no, no, you don't wear the mask to protect you.

00:02:05.900 You wear the mask to protect everybody else.

00:02:09.020 But actually, we've got some video evidence of the left contradicting this point because, really, the masks are not about protecting me and they're not about protecting you.

00:02:18.680 They are about raw political power, and we've seen around the country, people are getting fed up with it, even in the most left-wing places.

00:02:28.060 There is a lot of uncertainty right now. There is a lot of chaos going on right now.

00:02:34.840 And it's why, when we're thinking of how to respond to all of these political questions, you also want to make sure you've got pretty stable investments.

00:02:41.600 Here is something new. You know that the price of gold has been skyrocketing lately.

00:02:46.380 Well, now there is a way to buy gold through a company called Acre.

00:02:49.200 Now, the issue with investing in gold, I love investing in physical metals, and I've done it for years.

00:02:55.520 The issue with investing in gold is that gold is very expensive.

00:02:58.820 So, usually, we don't have thousands of dollars lying around to start buying gold bars.

00:03:02.820 Well, Acre has come up with a way for you to subscribe to gold bars for as little as $30 a month.

00:03:08.760 How is that possible?

00:03:09.820 Gold costs more than $30.

00:03:10.960 Well, what you do is you pay each month.

00:03:13.780 Once your gold stash reaches the price of their gold bars, they will discreetly ship Acre gold to your house.

00:03:19.840 Acre lets you invest in physical gold without coming out of pocket all at once.

00:03:24.260 Acre then keeps you updated on your gold stash every month, and it ships once you reach the price threshold.

00:03:29.420 Acre's physical delivery of your gold means that it is safe and sound and in your hands.

00:03:34.100 That's something you can rely on.

00:03:35.020 They also just recently introduced their new $100 per month subscription to their 5-gram gold bar.

00:03:40.320 I really enjoy investing in physical metal.

00:03:44.000 I like having it in my hands, knowing it's safe and secure.

00:03:47.260 Visit getacregold.com slash Knowles right now.

00:03:50.020 Start investing in physical gold today.

00:03:51.880 Make sure that you go to this URL because Acre is giving away a gold bar.

00:03:56.000 To qualify for the giveaway, tweet or post why you should be the recipient and mention at get underscore Acre.

00:04:02.840 That is getacregold.com slash Knowles.

00:04:04.880 And thank you, Acre Gold, for supporting the show.

00:04:07.460 So, President Trump down in Georgia to help out with these Senate races.

00:04:13.720 I hope that this can put an end to a canard that I've been hearing from critics of Donald Trump for the past several weeks.

00:04:22.380 Namely, that Trump doesn't care at all about Republicans keeping the Senate.

00:04:26.700 Namely, that Trump doesn't mind if Loeffler and Perdue lose in Georgia.

00:04:31.320 That he's only in it for himself.

00:04:32.360 He's not trying to help the greater cause.

00:04:34.240 Trump, contrary to what some lawyers who are helping Donald Trump have been saying,

00:04:40.040 Trump has consistently told people to go vote in the Georgia races.

00:04:44.260 He has not told people to sit out the Georgia races.

00:04:46.880 And he's gone down there to campaign.

00:04:50.220 He is helping out in the Senate race.

00:04:53.340 Very good.

00:04:53.940 He is also simultaneously pursuing legal recourse in the presidential race.

00:05:01.940 You can do two things at once.

00:05:03.620 This was something we talked about last week.

00:05:07.000 It seems that there is one group of people that says we need to only focus on the presidential race.

00:05:11.260 Forget about Georgia.

00:05:12.380 And there's another group of people that say we've got to hold the Senate.

00:05:15.260 We've got to focus on Georgia.

00:05:16.400 Forget about the presidential race.

00:05:18.060 Give that up.

00:05:18.780 One side is willing to throw out the Senate.

00:05:21.820 The other side wants Trump to concede prematurely.

00:05:24.540 Why can't we do both at once?

00:05:26.020 That's what Trump is doing.

00:05:27.260 And I think that's what we should be doing too.

00:05:29.280 The fact that President Trump is unwilling on today, December 7th, to concede the presidential race,

00:05:38.300 a day which will live in infamy, according to the mainstream media, if Trump doesn't concede,

00:05:44.120 this is driving these mainstream journalists crazy.

00:05:47.020 Take a listen.

00:05:47.460 Alex Azar, the HHS secretary, went on Fox News Sunday this weekend and talked to Chris Wallace,

00:05:53.780 who you will remember did not appear to be very friendly to President Trump at that presidential debate.

00:05:59.400 So he goes on and he's referring to President Trump and he's referring to former Vice President Joe Biden.

00:06:05.540 Chris Wallace cannot tolerate that Alex Azar will not concede the race on behalf of Trump.

00:06:11.680 If President Trump had worn a mask then and urged everyone to wear a mask then, back in April,

00:06:20.220 the way Joe Biden is right now, wouldn't we be in much better shape?

00:06:25.180 Well, Chris, I welcome Vice President Biden to the club.

00:06:28.340 Since the middle of April, the president's guidelines for reopening.

00:06:30.840 Well, he's the president-elect, sir.

00:06:32.940 The president has called masks, patriotic acts.

00:06:38.440 Every one of his top advisors, we are out there saying, wear your masks.

00:06:42.060 We talk about the data.

00:06:43.120 You know, Chris, at one meter, if two people wear the masks, it can reduce viral transmission by 72%,

00:06:50.060 protecting both the source and the recipient.

00:06:52.900 We've got the data.

00:06:54.240 Mask work.

00:06:54.960 We encourage people, please wear a mask when you can't engage in social distancing.

00:06:59.040 But first of all, it's the president-elect Joe Biden, Secretary Azar.

00:07:05.380 First of all, it isn't president-elect Joe Biden.

00:07:08.680 Joe Biden is not the president-elect.

00:07:12.220 He simply isn't.

00:07:13.260 Chris Wallace should have a warning label when he posts this clip on Facebook or on Twitter,

00:07:19.220 saying that this claim is fake news, or at the very least, this claim is disputed.

00:07:23.900 Had the election come out and the media declared the election for Joe Biden and then Donald Trump

00:07:30.340 conceded, I guess it would be fair to call Joe Biden the president-elect, even though the electors

00:07:35.400 hadn't voted yet.

00:07:36.220 But that's not what happened.

00:07:37.500 This is a hotly contested presidential election.

00:07:40.220 There were lawsuits working their way through courts, very likely up to the Supreme Court.

00:07:43.800 And the electors have not voted, meaning that as a technical matter, we simply do not have

00:07:50.220 a president-elect.

00:07:51.100 But because no one's conceded this, because the election is disputed, there is no argument

00:07:55.180 whatsoever for calling Joe Biden the president-elect unless you are a partisan who is trying to

00:08:02.020 confuse the public about a debated and contested presidential election, which is obviously what

00:08:09.700 Chris Wallace is doing.

00:08:10.480 This is something that very few people pointed out on Twitter.

00:08:15.660 When Twitter had the line, it said, this claim is disputed.

00:08:20.860 They only put that on President Trump's tweets.

00:08:25.140 But a friend of mine, Jim O'Neill, pointed this out, that if a claim is disputed, then you

00:08:32.180 ought to put the disputed label on both sides of the claim.

00:08:36.240 So if Donald Trump comes out and says, we won this election, and Joe Biden comes out

00:08:40.840 and says, we won this election, if the claim that Trump won is disputed, then that means

00:08:44.400 that the claim that Biden won is disputed too.

00:08:46.200 So you're supposed to put the label on both.

00:08:47.880 But of course, the media don't want to do that, because when they say disputed, they mean

00:08:52.140 it's disputed by us.

00:08:53.420 When they say, sources have called this election differently, the sources they're referring to

00:08:57.000 are themselves.

00:08:58.180 And they want to make themselves the official authority for this, even though they are not.

00:09:03.440 But the courts have some authority here, the president has some authority if he were to

00:09:08.480 concede, and the electors, of course, who will be voting not many days from now, have

00:09:14.140 authority as well.

00:09:16.280 Also knocking down Chris Wallace's insistence that Joe Biden is the president-elect is the

00:09:21.740 Supreme Court.

00:09:22.560 So just yesterday, this is some big news on the Trump legal front.

00:09:26.220 Sam Alito, Supreme Court justice, asked officials in Pennsylvania to file briefs by tomorrow morning,

00:09:33.080 by Tuesday morning, in response to an emergency injunction petition filed by Republicans seeking

00:09:38.120 to invalidate or rescind the results of the November 3rd election in the Keystone State.

00:09:42.620 So I just did an episode with Senator Cruz on our show, Verdict, about this issue.

00:09:49.500 Of all of the claims of election fraud or illegality or unconstitutionality, the clearest example

00:09:55.780 of this is Pennsylvania.

00:09:56.840 The Pennsylvania state constitution prohibits the use of widespread unsolicited mail-in ballots,

00:10:03.820 the kind of ballots that we saw in this election.

00:10:05.680 It explicitly prohibits their use.

00:10:08.260 You got to vote in person.

00:10:09.760 There are some narrow carve-outs, but you have to vote in person there.

00:10:13.260 The legislature in Pennsylvania overrode this, and they said, no, you can vote by mail, widespread

00:10:20.360 mail-in.

00:10:20.880 But the legislature does not have the authority to override the constitution.

00:10:26.560 Now, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court came in, and in a highly partisan and indefensible

00:10:31.140 opinion, said, oh, never mind, forget about the constitution, have your mail-in ballots,

00:10:36.040 and enjoy however you're going to count them down there in Philly, guys.

00:10:40.060 There is now a petition going to the US Supreme Court to invalidate those results because they

00:10:48.720 were patently unconstitutional.

00:10:50.780 That is a very legitimate argument.

00:10:53.140 However, there is a deadline for these things because we need to know where the electors are

00:10:57.120 going before they go and vote.

00:10:58.800 So initially, this deadline was going, or initially, rather, the Supreme Court was maybe going to

00:11:03.500 hear this Thursday.

00:11:04.040 It would have been too late.

00:11:04.840 So they've reached this safe harbor deadline.

00:11:07.520 What this seems to suggest is that the Supreme Court is going to weigh in on the election in

00:11:11.580 Pennsylvania.

00:11:12.140 Now, that wouldn't be enough to flip the presidential election.

00:11:14.400 You'd also have to flip Georgia, and you'd have to flip Arizona.

00:11:17.900 Is that possible?

00:11:18.920 I suppose it is possible.

00:11:20.080 Is it likely?

00:11:20.860 It's not likely.

00:11:22.540 However, however, it's worth pointing out, it is not impossible.

00:11:26.000 The Trump team is still pursuing their legal options.

00:11:29.080 Actually, our friend Jenna Ellis, who is President Trump's lawyer, has come out and given news of

00:11:37.500 great progress in the legal fight.

00:11:39.660 And this could be the way, maybe the only way, to flip the votes in Georgia and Arizona, which

00:11:46.040 is they need to prove that there was something fishy about the vote counting machines.

00:11:52.580 We've heard the names Smartmatic.

00:11:54.460 We've heard the names Dominion.

00:11:56.940 We've heard all of these sorts of rumors going around about software, hacking, manipulation.

00:12:04.180 Now we're going to find out whether that's legitimate or not, because we could get a forensic

00:12:10.340 audit here.

00:12:16.080 And if you want to listen to it in a really wonderful way, I'd highly recommend you listen

00:12:19.140 on Raycon.

00:12:20.160 You know, another way that 2020 has thrown us for a loop, of course, is going to be this

00:12:24.560 holiday shopping season.

00:12:25.740 After everything that's gone on this year, you want to make sure that every single person

00:12:29.940 on your list gets a gift that will actually make them say, hey, thank you.

00:12:33.280 I needed this.

00:12:33.840 This is really improving my year.

00:12:35.120 It's been a little tough.

00:12:36.860 The silver bullet gift idea, Raycon wireless earbuds.

00:12:39.880 With seamless Bluetooth pairing and a comfortable noise-isolating fit, you can start listening

00:12:44.660 right out of the box and keep listening for hours.

00:12:47.500 The audio quality is phenomenal.

00:12:49.800 It's comparable to what you get with other premium brands, except that Raycons start at 0.90

00:12:53.600 half the price.

00:12:54.880 I have a whole bunch of different wireless earbuds.

00:12:57.240 I've got Raycons.

00:12:58.260 I've got the expensive ones that you all know about.

00:13:00.140 I've got the other expensive ones.

00:13:01.300 And I try them on.

00:13:02.180 I've got to tell you, the other ones have problems.

00:13:06.840 Raycons, very, very reliable and much less expensive.

00:13:10.940 Raycon is being generous for the holidays.

00:13:12.860 So on top of their everyday great prices, they are offering our listeners 15% off right

00:13:17.360 now.

00:13:17.660 Go to buyraycon.com slash Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S. 0.88

00:13:21.020 Get 15% off your Raycon order.

00:13:22.920 That is buyraycon.com slash Knowles, buyraycon.com slash Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S. 0.65

00:13:28.860 So now, once we all affix our Raycon wireless earbuds, we can listen to Jenna's argument,

00:13:35.440 because this is maybe a little bit of a Hail Mary, but there is a chance that this could

00:13:40.460 flip the results.

00:13:41.920 The big news coming out of Antrim County, Michigan this morning, Pete, is that a judge actually

00:13:47.320 granted our team access to 22 of the Dominion voting machines for us to conduct a forensic

00:13:52.880 audit.

00:13:53.760 So if you remember, this is the county that had the switch of 6,000 votes from President

00:13:59.160 Trump to Joe Biden, and that was an unexplained and so-called glitch.

00:14:03.380 And so our team is going to be able to go in this morning at about 830, and we'll be there

00:14:07.980 for about eight hours to conduct that forensic examination, and we'll have the results in about

00:14:12.660 48 hours.

00:14:13.760 And that'll tell us a lot about these machines.

00:14:15.920 So we'll find out later this week if there is any substance to the claims that Dominion

00:14:22.040 and the other software have flipped the votes.

00:14:25.560 Now, this is happening because of a judge in Michigan.

00:14:28.460 Of course, if there is some sort of systemic issue with the software, then that's going to

00:14:33.100 affect the certification of the results in other states as well.

00:14:38.720 Some people passionately believe that these voting machines were rigged.

00:14:44.020 They see the glitches, such as thousands of ballots being flipped for somebody else.

00:14:48.620 They see spikes in the count, and they say, this looks pretty fishy.

00:14:52.280 They know that these electronic voting machines are vulnerable just by definition compared to

00:14:56.600 older methods of voting.

00:14:58.100 So they look at that and they say, absolutely, there was a rigged election going on through

00:15:04.320 the machines.

00:15:05.020 Then there are other people who say, this is crazy.

00:15:07.120 This is a conspiracy theory.

00:15:08.840 There's no chance that any of the machines were rigged.

00:15:11.580 Come on, get your tinfoil hat off. 0.95

00:15:14.020 Now, as always in this election fight, there is an option between these two extremes.

00:15:20.460 The option is, okay, if you're so convinced it's a conspiracy theory, let us go in and

00:15:25.280 take a look at the machines.

00:15:27.580 If you're so convinced this is, then don't wipe the machines.

00:15:30.880 There was a judge order in Georgia not to allow people to wipe the Dominion voting machines

00:15:34.440 and reset them.

00:15:35.440 Cool, there's no problem.

00:15:36.380 Then we're going to go in there and take a look at what's going on in those machines.

00:15:39.240 Likewise, for people who were convinced there was rigging, okay, if you're so convinced,

00:15:44.340 we'll go into the machines.

00:15:45.480 We'll see if there's rigging.

00:15:46.760 Time is running out because we live in space and time, right?

00:15:50.060 We don't, this isn't going to drag on for eight or 10 years.

00:15:53.860 Frankly, even if there was fraud, if you can't prove it in the amount of time, it doesn't

00:15:56.980 matter.

00:15:57.280 I often go back to the case of Lyndon Johnson, who stole his Senate seat in 1948.

00:16:02.380 We now can know that with certainty.

00:16:05.360 And we figured it out around 1990 for sure that he stole it.

00:16:09.640 Well, okay, we got it.

00:16:11.100 That's a moral victory, except he'd already served in the Senate.

00:16:13.420 He was already vice president.

00:16:14.380 He was already, already president.

00:16:15.680 And he already transformed the country through his political career.

00:16:19.500 But they're just, we didn't prove it in time.

00:16:21.880 So we're going to find out, as Jenna says, we should know within 48 hours.

00:16:25.380 It's fine by me.

00:16:26.660 I'm more than happy to exercise the virtue of patience and say, we're going to see what

00:16:32.280 happens here.

00:16:33.340 More than happy to exercise the virtue of courage and resist calls to concede the election.

00:16:38.680 Even if the mainstream media, even if the putatively conservative cable news channel is insisting

00:16:42.980 that we do that and we'll let the legal process play out.

00:16:46.400 Now there is some sad news.

00:16:48.640 One of President Trump's top legal advisors just got coronavirus.

00:16:53.640 Rudy Giuliani has tested positive for coronavirus.

00:16:58.080 Rudy is older.

00:16:59.540 He's 76 years old.

00:17:01.420 He's not exactly in Olympic shape.

00:17:05.320 You know, I mean, he's just an older guy who's a lawyer.

00:17:09.380 You know, he's not a marathon runner or something.

00:17:11.620 So we hope that he recovers.

00:17:13.900 Of course, we hope he's doing very well.

00:17:15.600 Well, a number of blue check marks, a number of liberal opinion makers, when this news came

00:17:22.320 out, suggested it was BS, said it was a cover, that actually, look, Rudy's been flying all

00:17:28.560 over the place.

00:17:29.220 He hasn't been wearing a mask.

00:17:30.200 He's been shaking hands.

00:17:31.260 Rudy got COVID months ago.

00:17:33.320 Okay.

00:17:33.720 He's obviously already had it.

00:17:35.100 And multiple blue check marks have been suggesting this.

00:17:38.220 The reason that they're saying he got it now is to kick him off the team because he's not

00:17:41.140 doing a great job.

00:17:43.320 I have no interest in hypothesizing and sort of going through this gossip mill.

00:17:51.020 My only point on the blue check marks argument here is it undercuts their alarmism.

00:17:57.800 If they're saying that actually Rudy Giuliani secretly got COVID months ago, but nobody knew

00:18:02.440 about it.

00:18:02.880 He recovered.

00:18:03.400 He was totally fine.

00:18:04.120 It was just a little cough or something.

00:18:06.080 Then why are we shutting down the world over this virus?

00:18:11.140 If our fast food chomping, physical exercise eschewing, 74-year-old president gets the virus

00:18:17.920 and recovers in three days, why are we shutting down the world over this virus?

00:18:23.080 If the virus has a far greater than 99% survival rate, why are we shutting down the world over

00:18:29.040 this virus?

00:18:30.380 I think the left, and they do this a lot, they attack the conservative position from opposite

00:18:37.320 perspectives.

00:18:37.960 They just use any cudgel they possibly can at their disposal.

00:18:44.120 You know, either, they did this with George Bush, especially, they do it with Trump too. 1.00

00:18:47.180 They'll say, he's a, he's a dumb idiot. 1.00

00:18:49.220 He's a dunce. 1.00

00:18:50.420 He's the stupidest moron who's ever been. 1.00

00:18:53.160 And that's why we've got to get him out of office. 1.00

00:18:55.020 Also, he's an evil genius.

00:18:56.740 Also, he's the greatest evil genius KGB agent that's worked his way up through the sheer 0.99

00:19:04.160 brilliance of his mad, wicked mind. 0.97

00:19:07.660 And that's why we've got to kick him out of office. 0.98

00:19:09.260 Obviously, those things are contradictory.

00:19:10.820 They just throw them at the same time, especially with Donald Trump.

00:19:13.460 But you've seen it with other Republicans too.

00:19:16.380 So that's what they're saying here.

00:19:17.160 They're saying coronavirus is, look, it's so irresponsible.

00:19:21.280 All these people in the president's orbit have gotten coronavirus.

00:19:24.540 That's why we've, we've got to shut down the country. 0.99

00:19:28.960 But also, Rudy Giuliani, he's a liar. 0.98

00:19:31.640 Rudy Giuliani already had coronavirus. 0.99

00:19:34.180 Okay, now he's covering it up now.

00:19:35.880 And that's why we need to kick President Trump out of office.

00:19:38.240 Those, those two justifications for different political ends on the left contradict one another.

00:19:45.120 They, they don't realize that it cuts against their alarmist arguments.

00:19:48.220 They don't realize how incoherent the lockdown measures appear.

00:19:52.980 But people are getting fed up with it.

00:19:54.960 And it's not just conservatives and talking heads and Republican politicians.

00:19:59.880 It's not, it's regular old people, people who own businesses, people who are in very blue places.

00:20:07.060 California, la la land, especially under Mayor Garcetti's control, has locked down again.

00:20:13.560 This was after restaurants shut down.

00:20:16.880 Then they reopened.

00:20:18.040 Then they were told they had to go outside.

00:20:19.500 They invest lots and lots of money.

00:20:20.760 A friend of mine who works for a restaurant in LA said they, they invested $100,000 turning

00:20:26.100 their parking lot into an outdoor area to eat.

00:20:28.180 That was just shut down again too.

00:20:30.680 So they're locking all that down.

00:20:31.800 Meanwhile though, the pet projects of these politicians are allowed to continue undeterred.

00:20:38.320 There was a woman in Los Angeles who stands to lose everything. 1.00

00:20:41.460 She's a restaurant owner who points out that the politicians shut down her business, but 0.82

00:20:48.300 they permitted almost an identical type of business to operate right next door.

00:20:53.880 So this is my place, the Pineapple Hill Grill and Saloon.

00:20:56.860 If you go to my page, you can see all the work I did for outdoor dining, for tables being seven

00:21:01.700 feet apart.

00:21:02.300 And I come in today because I'm organizing a protest and I came in to get stuff for that.

00:21:08.920 And I walk into my parking lot and obviously Mayor Garcetti has approved this.

00:21:19.540 has approved this being set up for, this being set up for, for a movie company.

00:21:35.700 So if, if you can't see this, this is an open area, giant tents, big tables because LA is a

00:21:45.660 show business town and so they want to be able to make movies.

00:21:47.680 And when you make movies, you need these areas for people to eat and hang out.

00:21:50.580 So they set up functionally an outdoor restaurant right next to an outdoor restaurant.

00:21:57.680 They say, no, the outdoor restaurant has to shut down, but the movie theater,

00:22:00.520 the, the, the, or the movie production set may remain open.

00:22:06.200 Why?

00:22:06.740 Well, I don't know because the restaurants spread coronavirus, but the movies do not. 0.98

00:22:11.040 You might say, oh, those incompetent politicians.

00:22:13.320 Oh, they just don't think about it. 1.00

00:22:14.580 Oh, how silly, how ridiculous. 1.00

00:22:15.880 It's not just silly. 1.00

00:22:17.820 It's not just something to laugh at.

00:22:21.760 Many, many people are going to lose everything.

00:22:25.040 They're going to lose their life savings.

00:22:27.100 They're going to lose their business.

00:22:28.560 Many, many, many people are going to be put out of work because these capricious politicians

00:22:33.060 can't let go of power.

00:22:37.060 They can't let go of their ability to arbitrarily decide what succeeds and what fails and what

00:22:42.840 people are allowed to do, which changes every hour of the day.

00:22:45.720 And this woman is rightly furious. 1.00

00:22:47.320 I'm losing everything.

00:22:50.200 Everything I own is being taken away from me.

00:22:52.780 And they set up a movie company right next to my outdoor patio, which is right over here.

00:22:59.420 And people wonder why I'm protesting and why I have had enough.

00:23:04.640 They have not given us money and they have shut us down.

00:23:09.060 We cannot survive.

00:23:10.200 My staff cannot survive.

00:23:11.940 Look at this.

00:23:13.560 Tell me that this is dangerous. 0.77

00:23:16.960 But right next to me as a slap in my face. 0.83

00:23:22.180 That's safe.

00:23:23.480 This is safe.

00:23:25.960 50 feet away.

00:23:27.220 Okay.

00:23:27.300 This is dangerous.

00:23:33.260 Mayor Garcetti and Gavin Newsom is responsible for every single person that doesn't have unemployment,

00:23:40.380 that does not have a job, and all the businesses that are going under.

00:23:44.520 And we need your help.

00:23:46.200 We need somebody to do something about this.

00:23:49.960 Absolutely right. 0.96

00:23:51.840 This is maybe the most ridiculous example of this you've seen, 0.91

00:23:54.860 but you've seen other examples of this from the beginning.

00:23:57.640 Here, you have actually two of identical operations.

00:24:02.480 One is now illegal.

00:24:03.920 One of them is legal.

00:24:05.660 And actually, if it's movies, it's probably being subsidized in part by the government. 0.93

00:24:11.200 That's ridiculous.

00:24:12.000 But you've seen it from the beginning. 0.98

00:24:12.960 You're allowed to go out and riot for BLM, but you're not allowed to go to church.

00:24:17.020 Why?

00:24:17.180 Because BLM and wokeism and political correctness is the established religion of the liberal state,

00:24:24.080 and Christianity and Judaism are repressed and suppressed religions.

00:24:30.000 So you're allowed to go to the good religion.

00:24:31.540 You're not allowed to go to the politically incorrect religion.

00:24:35.260 Obviously, we can't rely on these politicians.

00:24:37.860 We can't rely on their expert analysis.

00:24:41.060 We can't rely on their advice.

00:24:42.180 So we've got to rely on ourselves.

00:24:43.120 Now is a better time than ever to be prepared with long-term nutritional food options.

00:24:48.240 ReadyWise makes being prepared simple and affordable.

00:24:50.920 You order online, you have nutritious meals shipped directly to your doorstep.

00:25:06.220 You just pour the food into the water.

00:25:08.220 You stir it.

00:25:08.640 You cover it.

00:25:09.380 After about 15 minutes, the meal is ready.

00:25:11.180 That is something that even I can prepare.

00:25:13.480 Some meals can even be prepared directly in the pouch, eliminating the need for additional

00:25:18.180 supplies, rather, and additional surprises because you don't want that when things are

00:25:23.400 going south.

00:25:24.020 This is about peace of mind, okay?

00:25:26.540 You order it.

00:25:27.480 Hopefully, things don't get worse than they already are, but you want to know that you

00:25:32.180 are ready if the time comes.

00:25:56.820 shipping.

00:25:58.780 Garcetti has a pretty weak response to all of this.

00:26:01.240 Garcetti says to the New York Times in response to this viral video,

00:26:04.240 my heart goes out to Ms. Marsden and the workers at the Pineapple Hill Saloon who have

00:26:09.740 to comply with state and county public health restrictions that close outdoor dining.

00:26:13.660 No one likes these restrictions, but I do support them as our hospital ICU beds fill

00:26:18.440 the capacity and cases have increased by 500%.

00:26:21.120 We must stop this virus before it kills thousands of more Angelenos.

00:26:24.500 That's not an answer, buddy, because her problem isn't even that you've shut down the outdoor 0.63

00:26:32.160 dining.

00:26:32.980 It's that you've only shut down some outdoor dining.

00:26:35.460 You've shut down her outdoor dining, but then you've permitted other outdoor dining to crop 0.99

00:26:39.460 up directly next to her.

00:26:43.500 No one is saying that if the policies were coherent, then we would have them.

00:26:49.880 What we're saying is these policies are completely incoherent.

00:26:54.500 One day we're told you can't wear the masks.

00:26:56.440 The next day we're told you have to wear the masks.

00:26:58.380 One day we're told you can't go outside.

00:27:00.080 You certainly can't protest against the lockdown restrictions.

00:27:03.080 The next day we're told you need to go gather en masse by the thousands to go protest for BLM

00:27:09.560 or protest with Antifa. 0.93

00:27:12.360 We're told by these, these scoundrels like Eric Garcetti that we all have to make sacrifices.

00:27:18.400 We all, look, we all have to, these politicians do not believe in this. 0.62

00:27:22.200 They don't abide by their own mandates and they don't fear the virus.

00:27:26.420 If they feared the virus, then Gavin Newsom wouldn't go to the French laundry and yuck 1.00

00:27:31.200 it up with all his buddies, shoulder to shoulder, no masks indoors, and then come out and pretend,

00:27:37.580 oh gosh, what a lapse of judgment.

00:27:39.640 Oh, I, what an accident.

00:27:41.440 Nancy Pelosi wouldn't show up maskless to her hair salon. 0.96

00:27:44.400 Chris Cuomo wouldn't pretend to be quarantining with the virus, actually go bike riding in the

00:27:49.460 Hamptons, get into a fight with one of his neighbors because one of his neighbors made

00:27:53.160 fun of him, called him out for lying on television, then lie about it on TV again.

00:27:58.440 All of these people, Fauci wouldn't be caught with his mask down time and time again.

00:28:03.320 These guys do not believe it.

00:28:05.540 They do not fear the virus in the alarmist way that they are trying to get you to fear the

00:28:10.860 virus.

00:28:11.120 So obviously the left has been pushing fear from the very beginning here.

00:28:16.640 They don't believe their own warnings, but now some liberals are going even further, right?

00:28:22.360 Because the, the alarmism is wearing off.

00:28:24.300 So now there's a subtle shift in the argument.

00:28:27.240 What they're suggesting is that it's unpatriotic.

00:28:30.400 Frankly, it's unmanly not to wear the mask.

00:28:34.620 Pete Davidson, he's the guy who made fun of Dan Crenshaw on SNL.

00:28:38.020 Pete Davidson just advanced this line of argument also on Saturday Night Live, where he said,

00:28:44.880 it's people who aren't wearing the masks, who aren't abiding by the arbitrary and capricious

00:28:49.720 lockdown rules.

00:28:50.740 You know, they're just kind of being babies.

00:28:53.040 I take it that you found these protests frustrating.

00:28:55.940 Yeah, man, they're making us look like babies.

00:28:58.160 You know, you know, it's bad when even people in Boston are like, ah, drink at home, you queers. 1.00

00:29:02.880 And do you think that people should stay at home until the pandemic gets better?

00:29:09.080 Yeah.

00:29:09.360 Everyone wants to go have fun, but there's plenty of stuff you could do at home.

00:29:13.060 Like use your official Pete Davidson vibrator. 0.97

00:29:16.900 So then at the end, it's a callback to a sex toy, but it's a, it's a non sequitur, right? 0.97

00:29:21.520 And it's, it's something you see often in left-wing humor is when they run out of the point,

00:29:26.680 they just go to something grotesque and usually sexual, but it's not, it doesn't follow.

00:29:32.200 That isn't good comedy writing, right?

00:29:33.780 It doesn't, there's no, there's no payoff there.

00:29:36.660 And even what is, what is the, I mean, the argument is stay home alone and that will make

00:29:43.360 you manly and mature.

00:29:45.180 Don't go out and see people because going out and socializing and living your life and not

00:29:51.480 living in fear is somehow childish.

00:29:55.000 It doesn't work.

00:29:56.820 SNL has not been funny for a very long time.

00:29:59.300 Very rarely has it been funny over the past 20, even 25 years.

00:30:03.060 But this, I don't even think left-wingers would suggest that this bit was funny.

00:30:08.020 And the reason it's not funny is because it's divorced from reality.

00:30:12.740 When people watch something that's funny, what's, what's the line that you'll often hear people

00:30:16.580 say?

00:30:16.920 It's funny because it's true, right?

00:30:18.760 But when it's, when something rings so obviously false, then it isn't funny because it's all

00:30:24.660 ideology.

00:30:25.940 An ideology is this abstraction that tries to recreate reality.

00:30:30.120 And the less connected the ideology is from reality, the less it will resonate with you

00:30:36.620 and the less funny these sorts of jokes will be.

00:30:39.460 They don't believe it, by the way.

00:30:41.120 They don't even believe it.

00:30:42.740 There was a liberal TikToker who showed up to one of President Trump's rallies down in Georgia.

00:30:48.000 And the, the point he was making was to shame Trump supporters into wearing the mask.

00:30:55.920 And I don't think there's any question which person is manlier in this particular exchange,

00:30:59.780 but I think it's pretty obvious that they don't even believe their own argument.

00:31:03.660 You know, this is a real gem of a video.

00:31:07.880 This is a real jewel because it shows you exactly where the left goes wrong.

00:32:43.320 the extremely manly Trump supporter, the ways in which people are pushing back on this sort

00:32:47.740 of thing now, and the ways in which the left is undercutting even their own argument when

00:32:51.560 it comes to the vaccine.

00:32:52.880 But first, guys, we have a new Leftist Tears Tumblr, okay?

00:32:57.560 We have got a brand new and improved Leftist Tears Tumblr.

00:33:00.860 First time we've ever updated the Tumblr.

00:33:02.420 The reason for that is after years and years of use, guzzling delicious Leftist Tears, occasionally

00:33:08.760 a little bit of the color will chip off of the old Leftist Tears Tumblr, especially if

00:33:13.700 you're putting it in the dishwasher every single day.

00:33:15.680 The new Leftist Tears Tumblr, totally dishwasher safe.

00:33:19.420 It will allow you to guzzle your Leftist Tears, not just for a few years, but in my view for

00:33:24.560 a few decades.

00:33:25.220 It's a very, very snazzy.

00:33:39.600 show at PragerU called The Book Club.

00:33:40.960 We've got Candace Owens coming. 1.00

00:33:42.240 We've got all sorts of stuff.

00:33:43.240 Head on over, subscribe to Daily Wire.

00:33:45.120 We'll be right back with a lot more.

00:33:46.220 So this left winger shows up to a Trump rally and harasses the Trump supporters.

00:34:03.620 Why won't you wear the mask?

00:34:06.340 You guys got masks?

00:34:08.100 No?

00:34:08.720 No.

00:34:09.740 Don't want one.

00:34:10.680 Why not?

00:34:11.360 Because I don't need it.

00:34:12.920 Why?

00:34:13.400 Do you need it?

00:34:13.880 I would, yeah, you should wear one because there's a, there's a global pandemic going

00:34:17.840 on.

00:34:17.960 Is there?

00:34:18.480 Yeah.

00:34:18.880 Well, you got yours.

00:34:19.960 I got mine on.

00:34:20.860 Yeah, I'm trying to be safe.

00:34:21.940 Okay, thanks.

00:34:22.720 But you could infect somebody else and they could get sick.

00:34:25.740 Why don't you leave them alive?

00:34:27.760 Will you please wear, will you please wear one?

00:34:30.120 Excuse me?

00:34:30.740 Will you please wear a mask?

00:34:31.740 No.

00:34:32.420 Please.

00:34:32.940 Nope.

00:34:33.400 For the sake of other people, please wear one.

00:34:35.220 Please, I'm begging you, please.

00:34:37.100 Nope, no, I don't think so.

00:34:38.600 I don't think so. 1.00

00:34:40.420 How pathetic is that dude? 1.00

00:34:42.360 Dude, he's, he's pathetic and unmanly, but he's also, he's also deceitful and dishonest 1.00

00:34:49.600 because on the one hand, how to abase yourself to get down, I'm begging you, please wear the 0.99

00:34:54.900 mask, please do it.

00:34:56.100 And that guy, that just extremely cool Trump supporter, she's like, nah, well, the masks,

00:35:01.020 they'll make you safe.

00:35:01.820 Okay, well, you got a mask, right?

00:35:02.920 So you're safe.

00:35:03.440 So you, no, the masks, it's not that the masks protect the wearer, the masks protect

00:35:08.260 everybody else.

00:35:09.040 Okay, so if that guy really believed that, if that liberal TikToker really believed that

00:35:18.920 one, this virus was extraordinarily deadly, and he, a apparently healthy millennial, was 1.00

00:35:25.680 at great risk from this virus, and B, that the masks don't protect the wearer, the only

00:35:34.420 way the wearer of the mask is protected is if everyone else is wearing the masks, then

00:35:38.420 this guy basically just walked into a, a hive of poison, right?

00:35:43.980 Because he, the whole point of the video is he's going to show up and all these Trump supporters

00:35:46.760 are not going to be wearing masks, and he's going to beg them, please wear the masks.

00:35:50.940 But that means that he would have to think that he's, he's walking to his death, because

00:35:55.500 we know the virus is going to kill everybody, right?

00:35:58.420 We know that if, if someone else is not wearing the mask, then you, no matter whether you're

00:36:02.400 wearing the mask or not, are at great risk.

00:36:04.080 So this guy's walking to his death. 0.96

00:36:06.020 So he's got to be a maniac, right? 0.96

00:36:07.600 No, he just doesn't believe it. 0.97

00:36:09.520 None of these people believe it.

00:36:10.780 When they get down and they pester you and they bother you and they fly across the country

00:36:14.460 to go find you to pester you, what they're trying to do is get you to acquiesce to their

00:36:21.780 will.

00:36:22.640 It has nothing to do with a virus.

00:36:24.520 It has nothing to do with public health.

00:36:26.200 It has nothing to do with compassion.

00:36:28.440 It's just a pure power play by people who are even willing to abase themselves to do

00:36:35.540 it, like this man.

00:36:37.420 Some people, manly people, are ignoring these sorts of rules.

00:36:43.020 Disobeying them, actually, is a better term.

00:36:45.000 Sheriff Don Barnes in Orange County, California, the great orange hope of that state, says,

00:36:51.440 quote, the ever-changing nature of these orders and the increase of COVID-19 case numbers

00:36:56.780 bring additional uncertainty and stress to California residents.

00:37:00.460 The Orange County Sheriff's Department will remain consistent in our approach.

00:37:04.140 Orange County Sheriff's deputies will not be dispatched to or respond to calls for service

00:37:09.820 to enforce compliance with face coverings, social gatherings, or stay-at-home orders only.

00:37:15.340 Deputies will respond to calls for potential criminal behavior and for the protection of life

00:37:19.960 and property.

00:37:20.480 Our actions remain consistent with the protection of constitutional rights.

00:37:25.700 In other words, Gavin Newsom, two words, and they're not happy birthday.

00:37:31.120 Absolutely courageous stand.

00:37:33.100 Absolutely coherent stand.

00:37:34.740 Absolutely constitutional stand.

00:37:36.760 Absolutely scientific stand, for that matter.

00:37:38.540 Resisting this kind of scientifically and medically illiterate overreach, outrageous overreach.

00:37:47.400 So the left has run out of arguments.

00:37:49.220 Now, what do they do?

00:37:50.920 You know what they do.

00:37:51.920 What happens when the left runs out of even its own flimsy arguments to get you to comply

00:37:55.920 with whatever they want?

00:37:57.280 They call you a racist, right?

00:37:59.700 That's obviously it.

00:38:00.660 That's how you know that you've won the argument, is when a left winger calls you a racist,

00:38:04.260 or a sexist, or a misogynist, and a Chicago teachers union is exhibiting all three of those

00:38:12.380 strategies in one.

00:38:14.160 So the A-F-T-I-F-T, local number one.

00:38:17.600 This is a teachers union represents 28,000 teachers and support staff in Chicago schools.

00:38:24.600 They don't want to go back to work.

00:38:26.880 From the very beginning, even the experts, the public health experts have said, there's

00:38:30.620 no reason to keep schools shut down.

00:38:32.120 The transmission of the virus from the kids to other kids, and then from the kids to

00:38:35.740 their parents and grandparents is relatively quite low.

00:38:38.360 We need to keep the schools open.

00:38:39.860 There's absolutely, even the experts said, no scientific reason to keep them closed.

00:38:44.160 But the teachers don't want to go back to work.

00:38:47.020 Teachers unions are fighting to keep the schools closed, because the teachers unions work for

00:38:51.840 the teachers, not the students, and not the parents.

00:38:55.120 They don't have any argument anymore to keep the schools closed.

00:38:57.760 So they tweet out yesterday, the push to reopen schools is rooted in the state.

00:39:02.120 Sexism, racism, and misogyny.

00:39:05.580 And I think this teachers union actually is teaching something.

00:39:10.060 They're teaching students how to make up excuses that in this politically correct culture are

00:39:16.140 unassailable.

00:39:17.000 So, you know, a student could read that and justifiably come home and say, you know,

00:39:21.600 mom, the push to make me finish my broccoli is rooted in sexism, racism, and misogyny.

00:39:29.900 You know, the push to make me do my homework, that push historically, it is rooted in racism,

00:39:38.420 sexism, and misogyny. 1.00

00:39:39.500 There's no way, there's no way to refute this stupid declaration other than to laugh at it. 1.00

00:39:45.240 But I think I'm going to start employing that too. 1.00

00:39:46.740 The push to keep the schools closed is rooted in sexism, racism, and misogyny.

00:39:53.900 Now, they cry racism, they cry sexism, they cry misogyny on the left.

00:39:59.040 But then they seem to change their tune when the races or the sexes change.

00:40:04.060 So, from the beginning, we've been told the conservatives are science deniers.

00:40:09.980 You've got these wacky liberals getting down on their knees to Trump supporters.

00:40:13.260 Please wear the mask. 0.86

00:40:14.240 Please comply.

00:40:15.360 Please follow the experts.

00:40:16.580 Follow the, believe science.

00:40:18.240 Don't be a anti-vaxxer science denier.

00:40:21.960 Now, Jake Tapper brings up this issue with a public health expert and says, what happens

00:40:28.080 when certain people refuse to take the vaccine?

00:40:30.380 A new Pew Research poll out on Friday suggests that less than half of black Americans say

00:40:37.620 they will get a coronavirus vaccine if one were available today.

00:40:41.660 I want you to take a listen to 52-year-old Carmen Bailey from Cleveland, Ohio.

00:40:46.860 To me, it's too early.

00:40:50.340 We don't know any kind of side effects from them.

00:40:54.740 So, I just really feel like at this point, it's people that's going to take that vaccine

00:41:00.340 as guinea pigs.

00:41:01.960 Oh, man.

00:41:03.320 Oh, man. 0.93

00:41:05.380 Tapper must be salivating at how he's going to rip this woman.

00:41:09.500 You know, frankly, to me, she seems somewhat reasonable.

00:41:12.280 She's skeptical of the experts who have gotten everything wrong, and she's skeptical of the

00:41:15.280 government, which is usually deceitful and duplicitous.

00:41:18.160 But that's just me.

00:41:19.700 Jake Tapper hates these anti-science, anti-vax people. 0.99

00:41:26.100 They're mass murderers. 0.80

00:41:27.380 There was an op-ed, actually, that came out in USA Today, said that the COVID spreaders 0.80

00:41:32.420 are mass murderers.

00:41:34.020 They're serial killers. 0.92

00:41:34.780 So, you know, Jake Tapper's going to come in. 1.00

00:41:36.180 He's going to say, this dumb science, she's probably a Trump supporter. 1.00

00:41:39.920 This woman has no reason to oppose the vaccine. 1.00

00:41:42.800 She's endangering all of us.

00:41:44.000 All right, Jake, let it rip.

00:41:46.000 Now, this doesn't, this kind of skepticism doesn't occur in a vacuum. 0.99

00:41:49.280 The U.S. has an ugly racist history when it comes to science and medicine and black Americans.

00:41:53.620 How specifically does Operation Warp Speed intend to address this skepticism, especially 0.62

00:41:59.900 the disproportionate skepticism in the black community?

00:42:03.420 What?

00:42:04.680 No, no, Jake.

00:42:06.020 Jake, you've been telling me from the beginning of this ridiculous lockdown that if I in any

00:42:11.560 way question the lockdown, I am a science denier. 1.00

00:42:14.380 I am a, I'm a wicked, dumb, stupid, uneducated person who's endangering everybody else. 1.00

00:42:22.260 But then this lady comes out and says exactly the same thing. 1.00

00:42:26.900 And you say, this doesn't occur in a vacuum.

00:42:28.860 It's totally justifiable.

00:42:29.960 We should all be skeptical just because she has a different skin color than I do. 1.00

00:42:35.020 And that frankly, even I'm Sicilian.

00:42:36.980 So, you know, it's a little bit more in the middle.

00:42:38.320 It's a little swarthy. 0.71

00:42:39.120 So maybe he would take me half seriously.

00:42:40.940 He'd half allow me to do it.

00:42:42.120 And Sicilians have had a difficult history in this country, as we all know.

00:42:46.660 That exposes for me the last hint of coherence.

00:42:53.560 Because at least the one thing they had been talking about from the beginning on the left,

00:42:57.680 Cuomo had been saying, believe science, follow the experts.

00:43:00.440 That was the, that was sort of the last bastion.

00:43:02.860 They don't even believe that.

00:43:04.660 They don't even believe that you have to follow the experts.

00:43:07.740 If you have the right skin color, or if you have, if you have the right genitals, 0.85

00:43:11.660 then you're allowed to think whatever you want.

00:43:14.060 It is utterly incoherent.

00:43:17.660 There is no reason to listen to a word that these people say.

00:43:21.440 There's no reason to follow a single one of their capricious rules.

00:43:25.320 Before we go, speaking of extremes and skepticism and nuance, I can't believe I have to say this.

00:43:34.360 There was an op-ed in the New York Times that I somewhat enjoyed.

00:43:40.360 I, I almost want to end the show right there before I, I don't, I hate that I have to say that.

00:43:45.400 But Nick Kristof in the New York Times published an op-ed that I sort of enjoyed.

00:43:49.460 It's about internet porn.

00:43:51.500 It's called the Children of Pornhub subheader.

00:43:54.260 Why does Canada allow this company, Pornhub, I guess the largest, I think the largest porn company in the world.

00:44:02.700 Why does, why does Canada allow this company to profit off videos of exploitation and assault?

00:44:09.080 And the article begins,

00:44:10.660 Pornhub prides itself on being the cheery, winking face of naughty,

00:44:13.880 the website that buys a billboard in Times Square and provides snow plows to clear Boston streets.

00:44:18.480 It donates to organizations fighting for racial equality and offers steamy content free to get

00:44:24.520 people through COVID-19 shutdowns. That supposedly wholesome Pornhub attracts 3.5 billion visits per

00:44:29.920 month. Oh my gosh. More than Netflix, Yahoo, or Amazon. Pornhub raises, or rakes in money from

00:44:36.780 almost 3 billion ad impressions a day. One ranking lists Pornhub as the 10th most visited website in

00:44:41.780 the world. Yet there's another side to this company. It's infested with rape videos. 0.65

00:44:45.760 It monetizes child rapes, revenge pornography, spy cam videos of women showering, 0.99

00:44:50.060 racist and misogynist content, and footage of women being asphyxiated in plastic bags.

00:44:54.620 A search for girls under 18, no space, or 14-year-old, or 14YO leads in each case to more 0.96

00:45:01.720 than 100,000 videos. Most aren't of children being assaulted, but too many are. You get the point.

00:45:06.660 This brings us back to a debate that actually started last December, and it kind of split the

00:45:12.100 right. What to do about the online porn problem. You had people who, in the name of a very degraded

00:45:19.680 and shallow understanding of libertarianism, said, nah, porn's great. George Washington and Thomas

00:45:24.460 Jefferson would love it. They basically wrote the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution so

00:45:29.440 that we could all watch videos of this trash, this wicked and debased stuff. And so we got to keep 0.97

00:45:37.680 porn, no regulations. And then you had another side saying, we need to ban porn. Just ban it.

00:45:42.520 This is obviously horrible stuff. Just ban the porn right now. And this debate ensued. And

00:45:47.940 I thought both sides sort of missed the point.

00:45:55.360 It gets to a lot of our public debates right now. Actually, right to the top of the show,

00:45:58.780 we were talking about, do you defend Trump or do you defend Georgia? How about both? How about you do

00:46:03.880 both? How about you allow Trump to pursue his legal options and encourage him to pursue his legal

00:46:08.320 options and don't encourage him to concede? And then how about you also try to hold the Senate by

00:46:13.380 voting for those two Georgia senators? Why can't you do both? I think on the porn debate,

00:46:19.360 we can acknowledge there is no constitutional right to pornography. Pornography has been

00:46:26.240 highly regulated, if not outright illegal, from the very beginning of the country. We still have laws

00:46:31.600 against obscenity. We jailed pornographers as recently as a dozen years ago. The founding

00:46:37.700 fathers made a very clear distinction between liberty and licentiousness. Okay. And they did not

00:46:43.400 support licentiousness. And they realized that licentiousness like Pornhub is the opposite of

00:46:48.280 true liberty, that it actually undermines liberty. Okay. That's, that's the one hand. On the other hand,

00:46:52.500 from the banned porn people, I think it's also worth remembering that conservatives are prudent.

00:46:57.880 We have a practical quality to ourselves. It is not possible to eliminate lust from the heart of man.

00:47:05.080 It's also not possible to eliminate the expressions of that lust. This is why the, the, some of the

00:47:10.520 greatest theologians and moral thinkers in history, St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas actually defended

00:47:15.920 legal prostitution, not because they thought legal prostitution was a good thing, but because they

00:47:20.240 acknowledged that it's the world's oldest profession. It actually predates politics just barely. I guess you

00:47:25.180 might say it's a form of politics. The two seem very similar. And Augustine and Thomas's point was that

00:47:32.320 if you eliminated prostitution entirely, the, the entire civilization would be convulsed with lust. 0.96

00:47:38.360 And so what you had to do is regulate it, you know, put, put it in one area, a red light district,

00:47:43.760 for instance, and treat it seriously as the danger that it is, but also recognize that it's

00:47:49.540 impractical, impractical, probably impossible to get rid of it entirely. Why can't we have that

00:47:54.980 conversation? I think once we eliminate the kind of stupid idea that we have a natural or 0.99

00:47:59.960 constitutional right to look at porn, and we also eliminate the imprudent and impractical idea that 0.97

00:48:05.740 you can utterly eliminate porn, we can have a real conversation, which is that this is obviously a

00:48:10.680 major problem confronting the country. You've got, well, especially in this generation, you've got

00:48:16.040 kids who have been exposed to this, young boys from very early age, they get hooked on it. It warps

00:48:22.000 their brain. It warps their lives. It creates an addiction that a lot of people want to get away

00:48:27.040 from. How about you can look at the number of people in this country. I think there was some

00:48:32.160 study that said 93 or 94% of men have looked at online pornography. And of course the typical rejoinder

00:48:39.580 to that is, and 6% of men are liars. You know, this is, it basically is a ubiquitous problem.

00:48:44.720 So how about you deal with that and say, yeah, this is, this is bad. This is, this is different

00:48:50.160 than having a Playboy under your bed in the 1970s. This is the, the ubiquity of it, the ease of use,

00:48:55.620 the, the stimulation of it is, is a, is a distinct problem. And then heavily regulate it. You know,

00:49:00.760 if I wanted to go buy a Playboy down the street, I would have to go and show an ID.

00:49:06.080 Why do we not have the same mechanism for online porn, like, like a website like Pornhub?

00:49:11.760 To say, we're not going to completely outlaw the thing, but you have to, you have to upload an ID

00:49:17.360 because in that case, it's not just saying only adults can get it. I actually don't think adults

00:49:21.940 should be able to easily access it either. It introduces an element of shame. You have to

00:49:26.280 show an ID and therefore you're saying, I am openly going to be looking at this kind of material,

00:49:31.820 which is very shameful. That would reduce the number of people who do it. Now you might have

00:49:36.340 people making fake IDs. You might have people getting around the rules. Sure. Okay. Right.

00:49:41.220 But as, as conservatives, especially, we should know better than anybody that you can't let the 0.89

00:49:47.260 perfect get in the way of the good. You can't let ideological purity get in the way of practical

00:49:52.500 results. You can't let these abstractions get in the way of prudence. If you could reduce this

00:49:59.540 problem, a problem that's so bad that even left-wingers in the freaking New York Times

00:50:04.420 are observing it now. It's not just the church ladies, you know, wagging their fingers. It's not

00:50:09.920 just Puritans and prudes wagging their fingers. Everybody is recognizing this is a problem. 0.85

00:50:16.160 Why not arrive at a sort of prudent solution? That, that is a central conservative insight is

00:50:22.480 prudence. And I think we ought to apply it to fraught public policy issues here.

00:50:26.700 This is why I often encourage people not to cling to ideology, you know, in the way that some people

00:50:32.880 just, they break their politics down into three bullet points and they say, no, liberty means

00:50:37.580 that I need to go look at porn all the time. No, it doesn't. Obviously it doesn't. And this applies

00:50:42.240 to the presidential race too. Go win in Georgia. Go, go win at the presidential level. At least try.

00:50:49.880 There's no reason not to try. And there's nothing admirable or virtuous about prioritizing that
