00:00:00.000 In politics, a gaffe is when some politician accidentally tells the truth.
00:00:06.900 Jen Psaki, our favorite current White House press secretary, committed a big
00:00:10.320 gaffe over the past few days when, after weeks of steadfastly refusing to call
00:00:17.080 the situation at our southern border a crisis, she accidentally slipped and called it like it is.
00:00:24.000 Were their expectations set with the Mexicans that they helped deal with the situation on the
00:00:28.520 border? There have been there have there have been expectations set outside of unrelated to
00:00:35.680 any vaccine doses or request for them that they would be partners in dealing with the crisis on
00:00:41.040 the border. The reporter calls it a situation at the border. The reporter is holding the party line.
00:00:46.780 Jen Psaki, though, because, you know, not she doesn't always have the best answers. She accidentally
00:00:52.360 tells the truth. And we've got new information. The crisis is way, way worse.
00:00:58.520 Than anybody is letting on. I'm Michael Knowles. This is the Michael Knowles Show.
00:01:09.280 Welcome back to the show. My favorite comment on Friday is from Paul Gold,
00:01:14.380 who says it's hilarious when corrupt politicians, but I repeat myself, always start off their lies
00:01:19.460 by saying, let me be perfectly clear. That actually means that they will be lying or evading the question
00:01:25.600 with swamp speak. This is true when politicians, Obama did this a whole lot. Joe Biden did this a
00:01:32.440 lot. Let me be perfectly clear. And then he'd just go on and lie to you. It's sort of like when people
00:01:37.240 say, hey, to be honest or listen, honestly, because it suggests that they haven't been honest with you
00:01:47.540 up until this point. Let me be perfectly clear. Say like, well, I haven't been perfectly clear with you
00:01:52.420 and I probably won't be clear with you right now. In these sort of chaotic times, it's good
00:01:56.660 to have some tangible things you can rely on like physical gold, Acre Gold. Great way to invest in
00:02:02.520 physical gold. You know, the price of gold has been skyrocketing lately. Now there is a way to buy
00:02:08.900 gold through a company called Acre that will not force you to shell out everything all at once.
00:02:14.320 You can subscribe through Acre to gold bars for as little as $30 a month. But Michael, that's not
00:02:19.460 possible. Gold costs more than $30. Well, that's true. But Acre's figured out this ingenious way
00:02:24.420 where you pay each month and once your gold stash reaches the price of their gold bars, they will
00:02:28.660 discreetly ship Acre Gold to your house. Just recently, Acre has introduced a new $100 a month
00:02:34.040 subscription to their five gram gold bar. Also, you know that there's a nationwide ammo shortage.
00:02:39.140 Well, Acre is crafting a solid gold 24 karat 9 millimeter bullet for you to buy right now.
00:02:44.940 They're not making a ton of these, so get it now. It's extremely cool. I guess I should tell you,
00:02:49.840 you're really not supposed to shoot these bullets unless you were aiming right at the heart of a
00:02:53.720 werewolf. Head on over. I mean, this is really terrific. I love investing in precious metals.
00:03:00.020 I've enjoyed that in my life. Visit getacregold.com slash Michael. Start investing in physical gold
00:03:04.740 today. Make sure you go to this URL because Acre is giving away a gold bar to qualify for the
00:03:08.800 giveaway. Tweet or post why you should be the recipient and mention at get underscore Acre.
00:03:12.960 That's getacregold.com slash Michael. Thank you, Acre Gold, for supporting the show.
00:03:17.420 The crisis at the border is a crisis that Joe Biden has made. He isn't the cause of the entire
00:03:25.980 crisis. He's not the reason from the very beginning that there are any illegal aliens that are crossing
00:03:31.820 our border. That has been going on for a long time. Joe Biden's been in politics a long time and his
00:03:36.720 policies have, have exacerbated that. But when we're talking about what's happening right now,
00:03:41.720 the record numbers of people, unaccompanied minors, accompanied minors and foreign nationals
00:03:46.900 generally who are pouring across this border right now during the supposedly deadly unprecedented
00:03:54.220 pandemic where we are not permitted to leave our houses and go hang out down the street at a
00:03:59.980 restaurant or go to church. At the same time, you've got record numbers of foreign nationals pouring
00:04:04.420 across our border, many of whom are not tested for coronavirus. This is being caused by Joe Biden.
00:04:12.240 His policies are leading to the historic numbers that we're seeing. You don't need
00:04:16.640 Jen Psaki to tell you that. You don't need me to tell you that. Illegal aliens themselves are saying
00:04:22.720 this to journalists. Journalists have not been permitted into the detention facilities for the illegals.
00:04:28.320 Unlike any other previous administration, there is essentially no transparency at these detention
00:04:35.880 facilities. But sometimes the journalists are able to catch them in various other places. And
00:04:41.820 Martha Raddatz on ABC was speaking to an illegal alien saying, why are you here? Why'd you do it?
00:04:47.000 The answer, Mr. Biden. Would you have tried to do this when Donald Trump was president?
00:04:53.440 Definitely not. Definitely. We had the chance, you know, that the same violence that is going on
00:05:00.400 today was there last year. We used to watch the news and I definitely won't do this.
00:05:08.520 So did you come here because Joe Biden was elected president?
00:05:11.980 Basically. Basically. The main thing was the violence in my country.
00:05:16.620 The main thing was the violence in my country. But the next thing was that Joe Biden is president.
00:05:26.040 That is something that anyone with any common sense already knows. And interesting that ABC News,
00:05:34.660 Martha Raddatz, not exactly a conservative outlet or a conservative reporter, but the story is so clear
00:05:39.800 that they're at least bringing this to the forefront. This illegal alien won't show his face, obviously,
00:05:43.860 because he's doing something illegal. But he's saying, look, Joe Biden is essentially inviting
00:05:47.740 me across the border at many times during the 2020 presidential campaign. He said, you should
00:05:52.200 surge the border. You should come to the border. And he's saying, the main reason is because there's
00:05:56.800 violence in my country. Maybe that's true. Or maybe just broadly speaking, his country isn't that nice
00:06:01.740 and our country is a lot nicer. He says, but after that, the reason I'm doing it now, the immediate
00:06:07.500 cause is Joe Biden. Yeah, makes perfect sense. Of course. I don't think that we can say that Joe
00:06:14.700 Biden is entirely to blame and this guy is not to blame at all because this guy is doing something
00:06:19.140 illegal. This guy is breaking a law, a very sacred law to a country. And that's the first act he's going
00:06:27.180 to perform in that country. So he is doing something wrong. He should know better. And it's very sad that
00:06:33.160 his country is no good. But the answer is not just for everyone from every no good country to flee
00:06:37.600 and come to our country. That's not going to work. And to break our laws while doing it. Still,
00:06:41.640 Biden bears a lot of blame here. Our politicians should enforce the law, particularly our politicians
00:06:48.640 in the executive branch. And they're not doing it. They're doing the opposite. It's not merely that
00:06:52.900 they're looking the other way. It's not merely that they're taking their eyes off the ball.
00:06:57.640 Well, they are actively encouraging this wave of immigration. The Biden administration is allowing
00:07:04.240 the release of illegal border crossers into the U.S. without even scheduling a court date.
00:07:10.760 So at least ordinarily, if they're going to start releasing people into the U.S., they'll pretend that
00:07:16.680 there's going to be any sort of justice. They're at least going to say, okay, you've got to show up in
00:07:20.160 court on this date. And usually they don't show up in court, but the Biden administration isn't even
00:07:24.600 doing that. They're just saying, see ya, enjoy, good luck. And, but just remember though, once we
00:07:28.480 give you amnesty, you got to vote for us. Don't forget that. Border patrol agents in the Rio Grand
00:07:35.280 Valley sector have begun to process and release illegal border crossers who claim asylum without
00:07:40.680 that notice to appear. This is unprecedented. This has never happened before. This is being reported
00:07:49.260 according to Fox, places the responsibility of seeking an asylum hearing on the migrants
00:07:55.580 through ICE or legal assistance. Probably not going to happen. Beyond that, what if you
00:08:00.360 enter this country illegally and you're not being turned away, but you know, you don't have anywhere
00:08:06.000 to go. What is going to happen? I think a sane country would say, yeah, the way to go is right
00:08:12.040 across that border and the other direction, right back where you came from. Our country under the
00:08:18.060 Biden administration just awarded an $86 million contract for hotel rooms near the border to hold
00:08:27.360 some 1200 migrant family members who illegally crossed our border. This is from DHS officials
00:08:35.060 confirming it to Axios. The contract went to a Texas based nonprofit. The contract of 86 million
00:08:40.740 is for six months. It could be extended. It could be expanded. These hotels are in Arizona and Texas,
00:08:49.700 all areas right along the border. In this past year, when your government has told you that it's so
00:08:56.660 dangerous outside with this virus that you can't have Thanksgiving, you can't have Christmas, you can't
00:09:04.120 see your friends, you can't bury your dead relatives, you can't have your weddings, you can't go to church
00:09:09.760 because if you go outside and maybe you're not vaccinated and you're not tested, but even if you
00:09:14.900 are vaccinated, that's an, a, an historic public health crisis. That same regime is spending $86 million
00:09:25.080 to bring in people, foreign nationals from countries that don't have such great public health systems
00:09:32.620 without in many cases testing them for coronavirus and putting them up in hotels and then releasing
00:09:40.260 them into this country, often without a court date. Somewhere, someone is not playing in good faith.
00:09:49.340 The same people cannot be doing both of those things sincerely. So who is it? Is it Joe Biden?
00:09:59.780 Well, I'm not so sure. Is Joe Biden really the one calling the shots? You may have seen this. It
00:10:03.400 happened on Friday. Joe Biden tried to walk up a flight of stairs and he stumbled more than stumbled.
00:10:10.180 He fell right down three times. You see him walking up the stairs to Air Force One.
00:10:15.300 There he stumbles. There he falls again. There he just goes all the way down.
00:10:23.240 Rubs off his leg. Now he grabs onto both railings, makes it into the airplane finally. Very sad. I
00:10:31.460 don't want to make fun of an elderly man for falling down the stairs. The staffers tried to blame this on
00:10:37.500 the wind. If you look at National Weather Service, the wind in that area, it was a light breeze, was not
00:10:43.280 heavy wind. This is just more affirmation that Joe Biden is not the man he once was. And fair enough.
00:10:52.720 If you have relatives who are 78 years old, do you think that they can run up and down stairs all
00:10:57.760 sprightly while they're leading the free world? In some cases, look, there are some people who can do
00:11:03.480 it, but generally speaking, no, probably not. So is he really calling the shots? I also don't want to
00:11:09.600 hear that bringing up Joe Biden's fall is cheap. I don't want to hear that it's unseemly or that it's
00:11:15.860 irrelevant. Give me a break after what we heard from Donald Trump. I don't want to hear about it.
00:11:22.040 Trump, of course, had some things to say about Biden's fall.
00:11:25.500 I watched as Joe Biden went up the stairs today.
00:11:29.760 I said, I didn't lose to him, which we didn't lose to him. Almost 75 million votes and probably a lot
00:11:39.200 more than that. So there it is, a classic drum line. Yeah, I watched him walk up the stairs.
00:11:44.060 I did not lose to that guy. OK, I there's no way that I it can't have happened. It's not possible.
00:11:49.720 OK, and the people laugh and I'm sure he's going to be, you know, they're going to increase his gulag
00:11:54.200 sentence now by 30 years for spreading the misinformation of telling a funny joke that
00:11:59.980 rings true to a lot of people because Biden's obviously not all with it. But I don't want to
00:12:05.040 hear it to me that I shouldn't have bring up Joe Biden's stumbling. And I don't want to hear people
00:12:11.040 say that Donald Trump shouldn't have brought up Joe Biden's stumbling because Joe Biden did it
00:12:16.460 himself. Look at how he steps and look how I step. Watch how I run up ramps and he stumbles down
00:12:23.200 ramps. OK, come on. It's a legitimate question to ask. Legitimate question to ask of both of us.
00:12:29.740 Thank God my health is good, but I'm a great I'm a great respecter of fate. I realize anything can
00:12:35.860 happen to anybody at any age, any time. But I promise you, I would not be running unless I was
00:12:40.620 in very good health. I work out every morning and I am in relatively good shape, as my mother would say,
00:12:46.300 knock on wood. It's a legitimate question. Look how I run up steps. Look how he slides down ramps.
00:12:51.800 He's talking about how at a West Point game, there was a slippery ramp, no steps ramp. So Trump walked
00:12:57.020 a little bit more slowly than he usually does. Look at how I run up steps. Well, we did, Joe. We are
00:13:02.360 looking at that. And Joe Biden made an issue out of this and the left made a big issue out of this at
00:13:06.600 the time. And this feeds into something that we all know. You might hate Donald Trump, but I don't
00:13:11.240 think anybody thought that Donald Trump was low energy in decline. I mean, this is a guy who was
00:13:17.600 working 24 hours a day, always extremely high energy, dancing around at his rallies,
00:13:22.140 always got the vicious, clever, you know, jibe at one of his opponents. Joe Biden, I don't think
00:13:28.040 we've been thinking that. And this raises now even more questions. I get a lot of questions when I go
00:13:34.020 to the auto parts store, the brick and mortar, and I don't know the answer to them, which is why it's
00:13:37.220 much, much better to go to rockauto.com. Rockauto.com always offers the lowest prices possible rather
00:13:44.120 than changing prices based on what the market will bear like airlines do. Why spend up to twice as
00:13:49.740 much for the same parts? Like, let's say, hypothetically, I'm just going to come up with
00:13:53.960 this off the top of my head because I'm a big expert on cars. Let's say you need a Delphi FG145
00:13:58.400 fuel pump assembly for a 2005 to 2010 Honda Odyssey. And it costs, I don't know, I'm going to say $354
00:14:03.840 at a big chain store. That's the kind of thing you can get at rockauto for 217 bucks. Pretty good,
00:14:09.200 huh? Rockauto.com is a family business serving auto parts customers online for 20 years. Head
00:14:15.080 on over to rockauto.com right now. Spare yourself the humiliation of not knowing, you know, exactly
00:14:21.220 this part or this type or whatever. And then you go into the brick and mortar and they charge you
00:14:24.940 twice as much. I love how easy the catalog is to navigate. The prices are reliably low and it's the
00:14:30.920 same prices for professionals as for do-it-yourselfers. So go to rockauto.com right now. See all the parts
00:14:37.780 available for your car or truck. Then write Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S in there. How did you hear
00:14:42.400 about us box? So they know we sent you. Now, in addition to his comments on Joe Biden's ability
00:14:49.960 to walk and what this means about Joe Biden's political strength, President Trump also has
00:14:56.080 some news to announce. This, I think a lot of people have been suspecting is in the work for a
00:15:00.280 long time. President Trump sent one of his aides, Jason Miller, on the news shows this weekend to
00:15:07.140 announce that, yes, the president, he has kicked off Twitter. Yes, the president is off of Facebook
00:15:14.400 and Instagram and YouTube. Yes, the president has not chosen to join any of the alternative
00:15:20.940 social media platforms like Gab or like Parler. But President Trump will be back to social media soon
00:15:28.540 because he's going to launch his own social media platform.
00:15:31.720 I do think that we're going to see President Trump returning to social media and probably
00:15:36.440 about two or three months here with his own platform. And this is something that I think
00:15:41.000 will be the hottest ticket in social media. It's going to completely redefine the game
00:15:45.240 and everybody is going to be waiting and watching to see what exactly President Trump does. But it
00:15:50.340 will be his own platform. Well, I can't go much further than what I was able to just share,
00:15:54.860 but I can say that it will be big once he starts. There have been a lot of high-powered meetings
00:15:58.840 he's been having at Mar-a-Lago with some teams of folks who've been coming in. And I got to tell
00:16:03.460 you, there have been, it's not just one company that's approached the president. There have been
00:16:06.700 numerous companies, but I think the president does know what direction that he wants to head here.
00:16:11.120 And this new platform is going to be big and everyone wants him. He's going to bring millions
00:16:15.220 and millions, tens of millions of people to this new platform. You're listening to Jason Miller speak
00:16:20.760 here. I'm reminded of how much I miss the kind of Trump era of Republican politics. Hopefully we have
00:16:28.480 learned something from that. Hopefully some version of that will continue, but just this like, look,
00:16:31.820 it's going to be the biggest, it's the greatest everybody wants in. It's going to be terrific.
00:16:35.000 And frankly, he's probably right. I mean, there are going to be a lot, a lot of people who head on
00:16:40.760 over to Donald Trump's social media platform. I'm looking forward to seeing it. I think it's very
00:16:44.940 important that conservatives assert their cultural and political power because the field in which we're
00:16:53.220 allowed to play now in politics, but also economically, the, the, uh, scope of things
00:16:58.140 we're allowed to say and allowed to do is really shrinking. And it's not just being shrunk by big
00:17:03.160 government. It's being shrunk by corporate America. It's being shrunk by the administrative
00:17:07.560 state. It's being shrunk by big tech. It's being shrunk by a lot of companies that are adopting
00:17:12.920 wokeism, which brings me to a little bit of personal news from this show. It actually pains me to relate
00:17:19.700 this, but I feel I have to do it. I feel I owe it to the listeners to relate this. We have a lot of
00:17:26.880 advertisers on this show. Some of them share our values. Many of them don't share our values and
00:17:32.680 that's perfectly fine. We don't, we don't discriminate based on the views of some company
00:17:39.060 and they tend not to discriminate based on our views. And we think if we can have a good partnership
00:17:44.140 and if they've got a good product, we want to bring that good product to the people who listen to
00:17:48.500 this show. Harry's razors seems to have a big issue with us now and a big issue therefore with
00:17:58.260 our listeners. We found this out over the weekend. A Twitter account that has two followers that does
00:18:06.280 not, you know, it doesn't seem to be the most prominent or legitimate real Twitter account came
00:18:13.100 out and it complained at Harry's to try to get Harry's to drop this show. Harry's razors and said,
00:18:19.360 Harry's razors is sponsoring Michael Knowles, who is spreading homophobic and transphobic content,
00:18:24.860 you know, and how did all the phobias and all the isms and all that sort of thing.
00:18:28.960 So Harry's, which has been a good partner on the show and they make great razors, responded to this
00:18:35.440 very small, it would seem not totally legitimate Twitter account by saying, thanks for bringing this up.
00:18:43.100 We condemn the views in this video. What video is it? We'll get to that in a second.
00:18:48.060 We condemn the views in this video, which are inexcusable and at odds with our longtime support
00:18:52.800 of the LGBTQ plus community. We've ended our relationship with this show and are looking
00:18:59.000 into our sponsorships to prevent any values misalignment going forward. So I looked, I said,
00:19:04.640 what video are they talking about? It's a video where I appeared on Candace Owens' show at PragerU
00:19:10.800 years ago and we were discussing the transgender question. And in discussing that contradicted the
00:19:18.300 sort of politically correct view and said, oh, you know, maybe there's some questions here, right?
00:19:23.080 I appeared on this show a year, I believe, before Harry's ever started advertising on this show.
00:19:31.000 The purpose of this show is to explore the hot button political and cultural issues and offer
00:19:39.120 a conservative perspective on that. A perspective that is shared by tens and tens of millions,
00:19:45.520 hundreds of millions maybe of Americans, but that is not in line with the woke politically correct fads
00:19:51.920 and ideas that have really only cropped up very recently.
00:19:58.480 Harry's knew that. They knew all this sort of stuff going in. But when a Twitter account with
00:20:03.000 two people following it takes a hit to try to prevent conservatives from having advertisers and
00:20:11.080 therefore to prevent conservatives from, I don't know, using good products, using good razors like
00:20:15.240 Harry razors, they go in, they buckle, they spread this then to their tens of thousands of Twitter
00:20:20.880 followers. And they are saying, we condemn the views in this video. They're saying we condemn the
00:20:26.940 views of conservative Americans. We think that the views of conservative Americans are inexcusable
00:20:32.240 and at odds with our longtime views. Advertisers cancel on their campaigns with us sometimes.
00:20:41.300 And then we get new advertisers sometimes. And that's totally fine. There are plenty of reasons why
00:20:45.240 an advertiser might cancel a campaign. Maybe we're just not selling enough of their product.
00:20:51.280 Maybe they don't like something that we said. Maybe, I don't know, maybe the wind blew in a
00:20:56.540 certain way in the morning and they just had to change a part. That's all totally fine. Advertisers
00:21:00.960 have every single right to do that. It's just a very different thing when instead of just canceling
00:21:07.040 their campaigns with us, they start attacking, not just us at Daily Wire, but they start attacking our
00:21:14.860 audience. And they say that our audience's views are condemnable, inexcusable, all sorts of language.
00:21:21.680 Views which, by the way, no one's ever been quiet about and, and which it would seem that, that
00:21:27.260 certain advertisers are just being opportunistic when some random Twitter account says something
00:21:32.300 about it. That's a very different thing. Advertisers more, more than free to cancel whenever they want.
00:21:37.620 But when you start going after us in a really vicious way, when you start going after our
00:21:42.920 listeners and our audience, then unfortunately for the advertisers, we need to speak up.
00:21:48.040 There used to be a time in this country, not that long ago, where when you engaged in free
00:21:53.520 associations with people, and I'm not even just talking about economic arrangements. I'm talking
00:21:56.980 about civil associations, the PTA, the Lions Club, anywhere with your neighbors and the neighborhood
00:22:02.240 community, that you didn't have to have 100% perfect ideological conformity on everything.
00:22:08.360 And that's a better country. That's the country that we want to live in. But Harry's, I guess,
00:22:15.480 doesn't think we ought to live in that country. Harry's doesn't think that conservatives deserve
00:22:20.040 to have good razors. And you're, you're free to make up your mind with what you'd like to do with
00:22:26.280 that. It's kind of tough out there in the razor game today. You've got, you've got Gillette
00:22:30.020 telling people that you should teach your daughter to shave her face. You've got Harry's now saying
00:22:35.200 that conservatives don't have the right to get good razors. This, this shrinking of the private
00:22:42.300 sphere where you can sort of have different views with your neighbors and that's okay. This, this
00:22:46.780 ideological, ideologization of everything. Is that a word? It'll be a word now. The, I use that word
00:22:54.360 because it's much more specific, but we sometimes call it the politicization of everything now,
00:22:58.920 including the razors that I got, I have to be condemned by my razor company because I hold
00:23:04.980 perfectly ordinary views that most people have held for most of history about, you know, the,
00:23:10.800 the nature of man and the nature of these gender questions that have become very fashionable now.
00:23:15.000 That, that is a really sad thing. And so we're, we're really disappointed in that because we,
00:23:20.300 we've got such great relationships with all of our advertisers, the ones that agree with us on lots
00:23:24.860 of stuff, the ones that don't agree with us on lots of stuff. We just try to be good partners,
00:23:28.220 just like we would be good neighbors with anybody around us. Uh, you know, whether we have a hundred
00:23:32.920 percent conformity with them or zero percent conformity with them, we try to be good neighbors
00:23:36.600 and bring people good products. Really, uh, really unfortunate that Harry's thinks that conservatives
00:23:41.880 don't deserve good razors on these questions. Uh, and on this one, which is so particularly hot right
00:23:50.220 now, the gender question, you're going to see some, some divide among conservatives on it.
00:23:56.580 Christy Noem, governor of South Dakota, who has been a really strong governor during COVID.
00:24:03.220 She, I think is, uh, trying to line herself up for 2024. She just made what I think is her first
00:24:09.420 really big mistake. Uh, she declined on Friday to sign a bill from legislators in her own party
00:24:17.280 that would ban boys who identify as girls from participating in women's high school sports.
00:24:24.360 This, of course, because when boys compete against girls in sports of any kind, they win because
00:24:31.540 men are, are bigger and faster and stronger physically than women. She sent out a statement
00:24:37.960 about this. She said she wants changes. She wants to water the bill down. She doesn't want to apply
00:24:43.060 to college. And this, because there are such prevailing wins in our culture to erase the distinction
00:24:49.900 between men and women. And this has a lot, I mean, just in a very practical way, this means that
00:24:54.500 women are not going to win their trophies in, in sports. This means they're going to lose college
00:24:58.780 scholarships. This is going to, this is going to have real tangible effects. And it's also just unjust
00:25:04.320 in and of itself because men and women really are different. And when you try to, when you erase
00:25:09.360 that distinction, you do erase women. But because it's become so fashionable, such a hot button topic,
00:25:15.220 Christy Noem has gone squishy on it. Uh, this is going to be a big dividing line in 2024. Speaking
00:25:25.460 of 2024, who, who knows even who's going to be running on the other side, Ben is going to be
00:25:29.780 covering President Biden's fall down the stairs today and all those migrant children as well.
00:25:34.640 So go check out his show. Also last week was a huge week for the daily wire on Friday,
00:25:39.100 Candace Owens premiered her first episode of her new talk show, Candace. And so many users
00:25:44.580 tuned in to watch this show that it actually broke our website. It broke our live stream for a few
00:25:51.400 minutes. If you have not seen it yet, uh, you are definitely going to want to check it out. You can
00:25:55.620 catch key segments on her new podcast, Candace, which is available on Apple podcasts, Spotify,
00:26:00.720 or anywhere else you listen. But, and this is very important, only daily wire members can get the full
00:26:06.200 show. Go to dailywire.com slash subscribe and get 25% off a new membership with code Candace.

00:26:19.560 We'll be right back with a lot more.
00:26:20.960 So Christy Noem has gone squishy on this gender ideology question. She is now refusing to sign a
00:26:41.140 bill that would prevent men from competing against women in women's sports. A bill, uh, you know,
00:26:45.580 this new gender ideology completely undermining women's sports notably, but the whole distinction
00:26:51.280 between men and women and Noem, she's going a little squish on it. That's too bad because I think
00:26:56.200 she could be a pretty good candidate, but to win the nomination in 2024, you need to be ready for
00:27:01.120 prime time. Another guy who would seem very clearly to be gunning for the nomination, Ron DeSantis is
00:27:06.960 playing his cards much better. DeSantis was asked a question about vaccine passports. The idea that you
00:27:12.120 would have to prove that you've received the COVID vaccine in order to travel or to engage in
00:27:17.100 commerce, Ron DeSantis came out and said, no way, absolutely not. The vaccine passport is a terrible
00:27:23.700 idea. We are definitely not going to require anything from the state's perspective. That is
00:27:29.080 totally off the table. If I have businesses that want to do that in Florida, I think that that's more
00:27:36.180 than just a private decision. I think that impacts our society. I think that impacts people,
00:27:41.960 particularly disadvantaged people in a way that would barely be negative for our state.
00:27:46.740 So what form that would take, I'd have to discuss it with my folks. I'd have to discuss it potentially
00:27:52.040 with the legislature, but I think it's a very, very bad idea. Look, if you want to go to a movie theater,
00:27:58.880 a concert, all this stuff, go. If you don't, don't. But to require somebody to show some type of proof
00:28:05.700 of vaccination, I think is completely unacceptable. And it's not something that we're going to support
00:28:11.420 here in any way in Florida. Really smart stuff. Really impressive stuff. I've said this about
00:28:17.020 DeSantis. You know, we don't know that much about him. He hasn't been around a long time. So before
00:28:20.980 everyone says, okay, he's the nominee, we got to make sure he's got the stamina. But that's really
00:28:25.100 good stuff. That's really impressive stuff there. Because he's not falling into the trap,
00:28:31.080 the trap that conservatives fall into a lot, the trap that I describe actually in my upcoming book,
00:28:36.220 Speechless, Controlling Words, Controlling Minds, which is available now for pre-order,
00:28:40.460 but it probably won't be for much longer once Amazon figures out what's in the book.
00:28:45.160 What Ron DeSantis is saying here is, we in the government of Florida, we are not going to
00:28:52.980 have vaccine passports. Okay, we're not going to require you to show that you got the vaccine.
00:28:58.900 But further, if private companies or semi-private companies start to require you to do that,
00:29:04.820 we don't think they should get away with that either. You know, when Amazon, when big technology
00:29:13.480 companies came in, started clamping down on conservatives, started booting off the duly
00:29:18.500 elected sitting president of the United States and censoring him. When hipster Rasputin over there,
00:29:24.600 Jack Dorsey in Silicon Valley said, I should be able to censor the president of the United States.
00:29:28.520 There were some squishes on the right who came out and said, private company, they can do whatever
00:29:34.700 they want. There's no question here. It's come on. It's fine. If, if a handful of billionaire
00:29:40.080 oligarchs control the flow of information around the public sphere, that's fine. They can do whatever
00:29:44.160 they want. It's a free country. No, because they, they understand that while this may not be
00:29:49.040 particularly or specifically a first amendment issue, it does more broadly get to the issue of
00:29:54.420 American free speech. If I'm being censored and ostracized and prevented from engaging in commerce
00:30:00.200 and politics by a private company, it's no better than if the government does it to me. I don't care.
00:30:07.080 The effect of it is exactly the same and the effect on our politics is exactly the same. And DeSantis is
00:30:11.600 coming out and saying, no, they're actually, we're not going to just allow wokeism once it's totally
00:30:18.160 infected the government to then just start flexing its muscles in the universities and in big tech and in
00:30:23.800 corporate America. We're not going to do that. We're trying to conserve something here in this
00:30:28.200 country. Really, really smart stuff. Two options in 2024, as I see it, is what, what Noam is now
00:30:36.500 leaning toward, which is thinking that the future of conservatism is slowly accommodating modern
00:30:43.440 progressive fads, that the future of conservatism is, you know, getting sort of okay with the,
00:30:48.460 with transgender ideology. And yeah, it destroys women's sports and it lets men go use the little
00:30:53.180 girl's bathroom. You know that, but we'll just, we got to do it slowly. As long as we accommodate
00:30:58.140 that slowly, that's the future. She's clearly putting her chips on that bet. DeSantis saying
00:31:03.120 something different. He's saying that the future of conservatism is about recovering something that
00:31:08.300 is lost. Even if that means questioning comfortable GOP talking points about how big private businesses
00:31:15.780 like Facebook and Google and Amazon can do whatever they want and we should celebrate it.
00:31:20.520 And DeSantis here is right. However, I still think we need to know more about the guy.
00:31:27.180 We should not, we should not get too excited about what's going on in 2024 just yet.
00:31:31.780 We need to see a longer track record because these are very tricky questions and the public
00:31:36.440 pressure is a lot and you got to make sure people can really, really stand up to that sort of thing.
00:31:39.820 Speaking of tough politicians, we haven't checked in on our old friend Andy Cuomo in New York.
00:31:43.840 He's a tough guy. I've got to hand it to him. A lesser politician would have already resigned.
00:31:51.760 A lesser politician would have already been outflanked by his party and he'd be gone.
00:31:56.520 Cuomo though, standing firm, he's saying, you got to impeach me to get me out of here.
00:32:00.260 I'm not going to do it. Democrats doing everything they can. They're pretending that they're kicking
00:32:05.240 him out over this contrived sex scandal. Actually, they're kicking him out because he totally blew it
00:32:11.020 on COVID and that exposes much more of them because they were a part of that scandal.
00:32:18.360 They promoted him during COVID. They participated in some of his policies.
00:32:23.160 So they're going to try to boot him for the ridiculous sex thing.
00:32:26.960 Now, the argument has changed so many times. One argument was Andy Cuomo, he made women
00:32:35.400 uncomfortable. Then it's, now it's, he groped a woman or something. Then it's that he, now they're
00:32:40.480 saying that they want to kick him out because he's too tough because he bullies people. There was,
00:32:46.820 there was audio that was leaked. It was leaked on that New York Times podcast, that absolutely
00:32:52.000 unlistenable New York Times podcast that, that, you know, occasionally it's at the top of the charts,
00:32:59.160 but Michael Barbaro and, and the New York Times left-wing outlet released this tape,
00:33:07.200 which is Cuomo talking to the Working Families Party in New York. For those who don't know what
00:33:10.940 that is, it's like a communist front, basically. This is as radical left as you can possibly get in
00:33:17.280 New York. And he's talking to them and they say, look, we'll, we'll endorse you, but we got to say
00:33:22.080 we don't agree with you on everything. And he said, okay, you want to do that? I'm going to compare
00:33:24.860 you to child rapists. If you ever say, well, he's better than a Republican again, I'm going to say
00:33:31.760 you're better than a child rapist. How about that? Governor, I want to, I apologize, but I got to
00:33:37.560 clarify one thing. You're free to say whatever you want, governor. But, but I just, I just like,
00:33:43.340 want to be clear. Our line is going to be that we have differences with you, but our differences
00:33:48.880 with Republicans are far greater. That's what we're going to continue to say. Cause that is,
00:33:54.780 you know, we don't have a hundred percent agreement. And quite frankly, governor,
00:33:59.060 we're very comfortable with you saying the same thing. You know, you, you, you probably think
00:34:02.920 many of our positions, you don't have to agree with us. I think you're better than a child rapist.
00:34:09.460 I just want you to know. So now, now the Democrats are trying to make this into a scandal to try to
00:34:15.500 keep pressure up on Cuomo. What's the scandal here? He's saying, listen, you jerks, you're,
00:34:22.080 you're giving me an endorsement, but it's a, a very underhanded sort of endorsement. You're saying,
00:34:28.000 oh, he's a little bit better than Republicans. He goes, you want to say that? I want to say you're
00:34:30.740 a little bit better than a child rapist. What's offensive with that? That's just tough politics.
00:34:36.340 And Andy Cuomo is a notoriously tough politician in New York. You got to give him credit for this.
00:34:43.200 And the fact that they keep changing the narrative, well, first it's this, then it's this. Now they're
00:34:46.500 going after him for being a bully. I mean, it just shows that they, they're, they're desperate to
00:34:51.760 get him out because they don't want to deal with the real issue. I think Andy Cuomo should be kicked
00:34:55.220 out of office. I think that he is a very bad leader. And I think that his views are abhorrent on a great
00:35:02.040 many things. And I think that he killed thousands of elderly New Yorkers through terrible policies.
00:35:08.200 And then he knew about it and then he covered it up. I don't think he should be impeached for
00:35:13.920 the contrived sex thing. I don't think he should be impeached because he was talked tough to the
00:35:18.260 working families party. Don't let the Democrats get away with this. I don't think we should let
00:35:23.880 them. I think we need to expose them for the actual scandal here, because this has much broader
00:35:31.540 implications, not just for New York Democrats, but for Democrats around the country. Speaking
00:35:36.080 of child abuse, Slate had a letter, you know, a dear, dear Prudence letter that I had to read on
00:35:45.720 the air. It was so disturbing and tells you so much about our culture. Question is, should I abort my
00:35:52.260 pregnancy and tell my husband I miscarried? Dear Prudence, I am happily married, financially stable,
00:35:59.440 and a mom of a beautiful feral toddler. On a drunken night, I convinced myself that I did in fact
00:36:04.040 want a sibling for my toddler. Quite the 180 from my staunch stance of one and done. I'm now 10 weeks
00:36:09.580 pregnant and my second child, with my second child and plagued by, by nausea, vomiting, and most of all
00:36:14.720 regret. Should I terminate this pregnancy, meaning should I kill the baby, and tell all, including my
00:36:21.180 husband, that I miscarried? He, his parents, and my parents are all excited about baby number two,
00:36:26.360 as they should be. I, however, am completely disappointed in myself for having a lapse in judgment and
00:36:31.580 thinking I would be okay with getting pregnant again. So much wrong here. What she's asking is,
00:36:37.000 I want to live this life where I only have one child, and I do not give all of myself to my
00:36:42.280 husband, and he does not give all of himself to me, and we do not, in our love, create new life,
00:36:46.640 and we do not give this wonderful gift of life which we've received to other people.
00:36:51.060 But accidentally, we did that because at least my natural impulses overwhelmed my bizarre ideology
00:36:57.080 one night. And now I want to know, should I kill my baby and lie to my husband and family about it?
00:37:03.760 This should not be a difficult question. This should be a dear, her name is thinking about
00:37:09.400 termination. Dear thinking about termination, no, sincerely yours, prudence, right? That should be
00:37:13.200 the letter. But here's the first line of Slate's answer. I don't want to be a parent is a wholly
00:37:19.700 sufficient reason to schedule an abortion. You're under no obligation to disclose your decision to
00:37:24.820 terminate your pregnancy to anyone else, and it's yours, and it's fine, and it's all you,
00:37:28.260 and you should, you should have an abortion basically. The whole thing is so sad and so
00:37:35.140 mistaken because this miserable woman is going to be even more miserable if she does this,
00:37:38.860 and our culture is going to be more miserable too if these ideas spread. It's just, it's,
00:37:43.840 it's not even a question of what should I do or what should I be. It's, we're getting it wrong on
00:37:51.760 the basic question of what am I, what is this woman? They say, I don't want to be a parent as
00:37:58.140 a wholly sufficient reason to schedule an abortion. That's not a question. The woman is already a
00:38:04.620 parent. She's a parent in that she has a toddler, so she's obviously already a parent. But the minute
00:38:11.880 she gets pregnant, she is a parent. It would, if the question were, do I want to be a parent or not
00:38:20.140 be a parent, then that is much more complicated. Much better argument for, no, maybe I want to
00:38:27.740 push this off for some time. But that isn't. The question is much starker, and this woman doesn't
00:38:32.560 want to come to terms with it. That's why she's using euphemisms here, thinking about termination
00:38:37.140 or whatever. And that's why Slate is using euphemisms here. The question is, should I kill my
00:38:45.080 kid and lie to my family? Of course not. Just about the most wicked thing you can do.
00:38:51.220 But this gets to what we're always talking about here. The language is what gives these ideologues
00:38:58.260 the cover to justify and rationalize their wicked, abhorrent actions. The language does it. This is why
00:39:07.260 political correctness matters. This is why the transgender issue, right, is a psychological matter.
00:39:12.680 It affects a very small number of people who are men who think they're women or women who think
00:39:16.820 they're men or who very much desire to be so. But as a social and political matter, it's hugely
00:39:21.680 important. This is why when people, when squishy conservatives and dishonest liberals tell you,
00:39:27.320 oh, who cares? The gender thing, it's not a big deal. It doesn't matter. Okay, if it doesn't matter,
00:39:32.540 then how come the left is spending so much time and money and energy on it? If it doesn't matter,
00:39:38.000 why, why is the left spending all of this energy to completely invert our understanding of the
00:39:45.600 most basic fact of our nature? If it doesn't really matter, because it does matter. Because
00:39:51.380 if you can, through language, redefine a man as a woman, you can redefine reality. This is,
00:39:59.340 as I may have mentioned even already in this show, a topic of my book, central topic of my book,
00:40:04.540 Speechless, Controlling Words, Controlling Minds. And I think that the libs are going to try to
00:40:08.560 control the words and try to continue to control our minds by suppressing this book. And they're
00:40:14.120 doing it because we have always fallen into this trap of not understanding what PC is and how
00:40:20.420 political correctness is an instrument that gives the left a lot of power. And it's why
00:40:23.980 the harder that the conservatives seem to fight against it, the more we lose. How even a tough
00:40:29.940 is nails 2024 candidate like Kristi Noem goes squishy because they don't get what this is about?
00:40:38.700 Really sad stuff out of Slate. So, you know, I suspect that woman doesn't listen to my show,
00:40:43.040 but maybe she should. Planned Parenthood comes out. They just, Planned Parenthood defended Cardi B.
00:40:49.100 This relates quite a lot to what we're hearing here. It says, shout out to the iconic black women
00:40:54.360 using the power of pleasure as a form of resistance. Exactly the opposite is true here.
00:41:00.480 Pleasure is a good thing. Pleasure comes from God, right? In its proper place. When you make an
00:41:07.000 idol out of pleasure and when you give in to your most base animalistic pleasures and desires,
00:41:12.540 that's the opposite of power. That's the opposite of resistance. That becomes a perversion of what could
00:41:18.720 be a good thing. You just know this. If you give in to drugs, let's say you indulge your base appetite
00:41:24.320 for drugs and you shoot heroin, you become a heroin addict. Does that mean you're powerful? Are you
00:41:29.080 capable of resistance then? No, you lose your ability for resistance. Same thing on sex, same thing on food,
00:41:35.500 same thing on all manner of giving into our base desires. And Planned Parenthood knows this.
00:41:42.000 And the left knows this. When they have pushed this kind of, largely through sex, because sex is such
00:41:48.840 an important aspect of our nature. It's why they're focused on the gender issue now. It's why they've
00:41:53.620 been focused on the sexual revolution since the 1960s. If you can get people totally riled up about
00:41:59.740 their most basic animal aspects and instincts, then they lose their capacity for higher thinking,
00:42:07.900 for the ability to control their will, for their ability to resist. As always, what a group like
00:42:14.000 Planned Parenthood says is exactly the opposite of true.

00:43:02.020 Elizabeth Warren, the grand chief of our United States Senate.
00:43:09.520 Liawatha is now coming out and attacking the filibuster. The filibuster is what slows things
00:43:16.080 down in the Senate, requires senators to get more votes than a bare majority to go along and advance
00:43:23.320 legislation. It's been around for a long time. It's why the Senate, in many ways, is supposed to be
00:43:28.860 the greatest deliberative body in the world, is that it's not as impulsive as the House,
00:43:33.780 whereas the House follows its more animalistic instinct sometimes. It's closer to the people,
00:43:40.100 and it's more given sway by emotion and passion. The Senate is supposed to be more deliberative.
00:43:45.060 She wants to get rid of that. She says, the filibuster has deep roots in racism,
00:43:48.840 and it should not be permitted to serve that function or to create a veto for the minority.
00:43:53.200 In a democracy, it's majority rules. Not really in our democracy. I mean, the woman clearly hasn't
00:43:59.920 read the Constitution or the Federalist Papers any time recently, or maybe she has, and she's just
00:44:04.800 lying about it, because we do not have a simple majority rules government. We have an intricate
00:44:10.520 system of checks and balances, an intricate system of a separation of powers where they're voting and
00:44:20.440 the majority, and there's a democratic aspect, but there are also some undemocratic aspects.
00:44:26.520 You see this much more so in the judiciary and theoretically in the Senate, because the states
00:44:32.760 are supposed to elect the Senate, not the people, at least in the original formulation. But the irony
00:44:38.060 here runs even deeper. She's saying the filibuster is racist. Elizabeth Warren has used the filibuster
00:44:44.560 at least three times when it suited her. She supported the filibuster to block Tim Scott's
00:44:50.680 police reform bill. She supported the filibuster to block billions in COVID relief when Republicans
00:44:56.540 were pushing it. She supported the filibuster to block the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act
00:45:05.660 that would require doctors who were unsuccessful in killing babies in the womb to not butcher them on the
00:45:14.480 operating table. She used the filibuster for that. She endorsed Wendy Davis, abortion Barbie in Texas,
00:45:22.840 in part because of her, quote, famous filibuster. So Elizabeth Warren has no issue with the filibuster
00:45:31.540 when it suits her purpose, and then when it doesn't, she says it's racist. She says it's racist because
00:45:36.160 racism has been deprived basically of all meaning. It is the worst thing that you can call somebody in
00:45:43.740 America today, and so it is just a term that the left uses as a synonym for bad. And if you point this
00:45:50.320 out, this hypocrisy, do you know what she'll do? She'll shrug her shoulders. She doesn't care
00:45:53.980 because she knows that it's only conservatives who care about being called racist, right? It's that the
00:46:01.000 left doesn't care. They just say, nope, no way. That's the word that we use to control you, not the other
00:46:07.820 way around. So she's going to use it, and you can't make a reasonable argument then. If Elizabeth Warren
00:46:14.720 is saying, yeah, I'm just going to be dishonest, I'm just going to do one thing, and I'm going to then speak
00:46:21.080 in a way that would contradict it, and if you yell at me about it or you call hypocrisy, I just don't care.
00:46:26.380 Well, in that case, deliberation is not possible, and this is why you're seeing on the left a push
00:46:33.400 toward, in our government bodies, less deliberation. In our immigration policy, for one, just flooding
00:46:40.220 people, ignoring the law to give them a bare bones interest majority, you see the undermining of
00:46:45.960 objective truth. Smithsonian Institution comes out and says, yeah, objective truth, that's a term of
00:46:50.840 white supremacy. Grades are a form of white supremacy. Mathematical concepts, form of white
00:47:01.240 supremacy. So your base instincts, your pleasure, your most animalistic desires, that's the way you
00:47:08.160 resist, right? So just suppressing your reason, increasing your appetites, because at that point,
00:47:13.400 politics does not become a way of persuading one another through reasonable ideas. It becomes a
00:47:19.500 battle of interest and brute force, and that's the politics the left wants. That's the politics
00:47:24.040 they're getting. Speaking of racism, the Georgetown men's basketball team, along with their coach,
00:47:31.160 the whole team and their coach, took a knee before the national anthem ahead of the NCAA tournament game
00:47:39.000 against Colorado on Saturday. Then they lost to Colorado 96 to 73. Good. Glad to hear that. That's a
00:47:46.200 silver lining in this very stormy story. The kneeling for the flag is a sign of disrespect. I know some
00:47:54.420 disingenuous libs pretend that isn't the case, but Colin Kaepernick, who started the whole protest,
00:47:59.140 said that. He says, I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses
00:48:04.080 black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football. So he's saying, when I stand up,
00:48:09.080 that shows pride in my country. And when we say national pride, what are we talking about? We're talking
00:48:13.240 about loyalty to the country. We're talking about patriotism. We're talking about love for the country.
00:48:18.800 I'm not going to do that. I'm going to kneel down because I don't like this country. And what these
00:48:23.660 guys, this Georgetown basketball team is doing is they're saying, I don't like my country and I'm
00:48:28.640 going to disrespect my country. Now, if Georgetown is receiving any taxpayer money, they should lose that
00:48:37.740 money. The students who did this should be punished. They should, I hope, be kicked off the team if not
00:48:45.320 expelled from the school entirely. If the school administrators do not punish these students for
00:48:52.260 this anti-American display, the school should lose its federal funding and conservatives should be
00:48:57.980 willing to push for this sort of thing. We have fallen into the trap of political correctness whereby
00:49:03.700 we either embrace their new standards, which are disrespect the flag, deny biological sex,
00:49:11.900 deny this, deny that. Or we give up standards altogether and we say, well, free speech, academic
00:49:19.860 freedom, whatever. First of all, the modern conservative movement began when Bill Buckley
00:49:24.760 called academic freedom a hoax, said it was a superstition and got a man at Yale. But moreover,
00:49:30.640 there is a thought that stops thought. Okay, we have to have standards here. It is better to love
00:49:36.360 our country than to hate our country. And if you hate your country long enough, you're not going to
00:49:41.180 have a country anymore. So we need to encourage people to love their country. We all did that in
00:49:45.600 this country. Not, not even just conservatives, but even liberals did that in this country for a long
00:49:49.540 time. Now we're pretending we're not allowed to say that. There's nothing hypocritical about
00:49:55.040 preferring the good and discouraging evil and bad things. It's perfectly ordinary. It's what every
00:50:03.140 political regime does. Okay. That's what conservatives need to get more comfortable saying.
00:50:08.760 And you're seeing some bubbling up of this when DeSantis says what he said about vaccine passports,
00:50:15.620 when President Trump in his presidency said, we need to stand for things. We need to make America great
00:50:21.500 again. You know, we got to like, we got to love our communities. We need, we want good things. We
00:50:25.780 want a good, we want to hug that American flag, right? And this would also happen to be the thesis
00:50:30.660 of my book, Speechless. That I think is the future. That is the, if, if conservatism is to have a future,
00:50:37.520 the country is going to have a future, that, that is going to be the future. Otherwise we're just giving
00:50:41.340 up and rolling over to the left in crisis after crisis after crisis. That's our show. I'm Michael

00:51:42.700 The left becomes increasingly desperate to connect the Atlanta mass shooting to racism.
00:51:47.340 Another Teen Vogue employee has her own racist tweets from the past resurface. A viral TikTok
00:51:51.860 video proves again that all cyclists are psychopaths. And a man storms off an elevator after I commit
00:51:57.640 the sin of not wearing a mask. All of that and much more today on the Matt Walsh show.
