Transcript

00:00:00.280 Washington State has a new incentive to get the Wu-Flu vaccine.
00:00:04.260 The state's Liquor and Cannabis Board, yes, that's a thing,
00:00:08.140 is now offering marijuana dispensaries the opportunity to host vaccination clinics in their stores
00:00:13.860 and to give a free joint to customers who take the shot.
00:00:18.020 They are going to incentivize you to get a shot that ostensibly protects against a respiratory virus
00:00:23.500 by giving you a recreational drug that rips up your lungs.
00:00:27.640 But the plan raises other questions.
00:00:30.940 If the vaccine is so great, why do governments need to bribe people with money and food and drugs to take it?
00:00:39.720 If the virus is so dangerous, why aren't people crawling over one another to get the vaccine?
00:00:46.720 Some new moves by the public health bureaucracy raise even more questions about what we've been told.
00:00:52.160 And some top politicians are finally calling for Dr. Fauci to be fired.
00:00:55.360 Now, there is some uncharacteristically good news out of the Supreme Court and out of the Pentagon.
00:01:00.240 That's great, but don't fool yourself.
00:01:02.340 The left just proved it still has all the power.
00:01:05.820 I'm Michael Knowles. This is the Michael Knowles Show.
00:01:15.080 Welcome back to the show.
00:01:16.060 My favorite comment yesterday from Trey Best, who says,
00:01:18.760 If Jack Dorsey doesn't like Twitter being banned, then they should just build their own Nigeria.
00:01:24.580 I totally agree.
00:01:26.360 I absolutely agree.
00:01:27.460 That's why I'm so happy that Nigeria did what it did.
00:01:30.300 You censor our president, we censor your stupid website.
00:01:33.060 I love that.
00:01:33.620 That's a beautiful thing.
00:01:34.980 Now, the fact of the matter is,
00:01:36.780 Jack Dorsey does have more power than the president of Nigeria.
00:01:39.800 And big tech as a whole, you know, not just hipster Rasputin, but the main oligarchs in Silicon Valley,
00:01:47.220 very likely have more power than conservative politicians in the United States.
00:01:52.440 Almost certainly they do working in concert with the rest of the blob.
00:01:55.480 It's the sort of thing that could keep you up at night.
00:01:57.760 Well, you know why I don't stay up at night?
00:01:59.080 Because of MyPillow.
00:02:01.220 MyPillow products do not go flat.
00:02:03.460 They don't.
00:02:03.880 I think you could probably roll them over with a military tank.
00:02:08.940 They would not go flat, okay?
00:02:10.280 You can wash them, you can dry them as many times as you want.
00:02:12.340 They maintain their shape, and they're made in the USA.
00:02:14.800 For a limited time, MyPillow is offering their premium MyPillows for their lowest price ever.
00:02:20.080 You can get a queen-size premium MyPillow, which is regularly $69.98, for only $29.98.
00:02:25.040 That's $40 in savings.
00:02:26.980 Kings are only $5 more.
00:02:28.600 Now is the time to buy.
00:02:30.860 Not only are you getting the lowest price ever,
00:02:32.700 they are also the best gifts ever.
00:02:34.800 $29.98 for a queen-size premium MyPillow.
00:02:39.200 I know a lot of us love MyPillow because of the politics.
00:02:42.680 You know, they support conservatives, so we support them.
00:02:45.500 I would support MyPillow even if it were a communist company.
00:02:48.620 I would.
00:02:49.040 That's how good the product is.
00:02:50.260 Go to MyPillow.com, click on the radio listener square, and use promo code DAILYWIRE.
00:02:54.140 You will also get deep discounts on all MyPillow products, including the Giza Dream bedsheets,
00:02:58.940 the MyPillow mattress topper, and MyPillow towel sets.
00:03:01.800 Or you can call 800-951-7163 and use promo code DAILYWIRE.
00:03:06.040 That's MyPillow.com.
00:03:07.620 Head on over there right now or call 800-951-7163.
00:03:11.060 They got to bribe you with drugs and cheeseburgers and french fries and millions of dollars through
00:03:18.140 those COVID lotteries to take this vaccine that's apparently so great that nobody wants
00:03:23.380 to take it because of the virus that is so, so dangerous that everyone's just going around
00:03:29.900 with their normal lives, and many people who have the virus don't even know they have it.
00:03:35.100 Does that make a lot of sense to you?
00:03:36.600 I don't watch a lot of professional golf, but I read the news.
00:03:43.480 There's a golfer, John Rahm.
00:03:45.520 John Rahm is a Spanish golfer.
00:03:47.720 He was playing in the Memorial Tournament.
00:03:50.460 He was doing very, very well.
00:03:53.300 He was leading the tournament by six strokes.
00:03:56.240 Man, he was playing better than any other golfer in that game.
00:04:00.420 But now he's got to pull out.
00:04:01.920 Do you know why he's got to pull out?
00:04:02.920 Because he tested positive for COVID.
00:04:04.340 How do you know he tested positive for COVID?
00:04:07.140 Well, he just, he took a test.
00:04:08.260 He took an exam.
00:04:09.740 You wouldn't know by his physical appearance, because not only does he seem perfectly healthy,
00:04:14.820 he seems healthier than all the other professional golfers.
00:04:18.080 But because he tested positive for the Kung Flu, because maybe he has a cough, even though
00:04:23.640 it doesn't even seem like he's got that, he has to pull out of the tournament, loses
00:04:28.120 his chance at $1.6 million, $1.674 right now.
00:04:34.340 Maybe he can enter the COVID lottery, whereby states are bribing people to take the vaccine.
00:04:41.620 Maybe that's his chance of making $1 million, because he ain't going to do it in this tournament.
00:04:47.540 This guy's obviously fine.
00:04:49.620 This virus obviously has, as a matter of what we can see, as a matter of what he can feel
00:04:56.040 in his body, no effect on him whatsoever.
00:04:59.520 But we got to shut the world down for it, right?
00:05:02.240 We have to go get the vaccine, don't we?
00:05:05.780 It's almost as if the virus is not as bad as the libs told us it was.
00:05:10.080 I know we're not allowed to say that.
00:05:11.660 We're not allowed to say that, right?
00:05:12.560 Because Michael, you know, the minute you say that, sure, with our own eyes, we can see
00:05:16.400 that the virus just isn't as bad as they told us it was.
00:05:18.700 And for those who have experienced it, we can feel it, yeah, it wasn't as bad as they
00:05:23.180 told us it was.
00:05:23.700 In 99.9% of cases, especially for people in the healthy demographics.
00:05:29.120 But Michael, 6,000,000,000,000 people died from the virus, right?
00:05:34.940 What's the number?
00:05:35.380 They say the number is nearly 600,000, I think, in the United States.
00:05:39.780 How dare you, Michael?
00:05:41.100 That's so insensitive of you to make light of a virus that's killed upwards of 600,000
00:05:45.660 people.
00:05:46.140 The thing is, it didn't.
00:05:48.000 It just didn't.
00:05:49.060 That number is fake.
00:05:50.820 Now, I'm not saying that the virus didn't kill anybody.
00:05:53.700 I'm not even saying it didn't kill a lot of people.
00:05:55.740 What I am saying, though, is it didn't kill as many people as they said it killed.
00:05:59.860 And do you know how I know that?
00:06:01.860 Well, one, common sense, because we know we've had these reports now for a year that
00:06:06.080 someone could get shot in the head.
00:06:07.820 But if they are taken to the morgue and they seem to have had COVID as they were getting
00:06:13.200 shot in the head, that's counted as a COVID death.
00:06:16.320 And do you know how else I know that?
00:06:17.320 Not only because there was an incentive for overdiagnosis, given the way that federal funding
00:06:25.400 came out, but the way that I know with 100% certainty that the death number is lower than
00:06:33.900 what we have been told is because even the public health officials are admitting it now.
00:06:37.940 Now, the COVID death toll in Alameda County, California, just dropped.
00:06:45.460 That's wow.
00:06:46.700 Are people rising from their crypts?
00:06:49.220 How?
00:06:49.480 My gosh.
00:06:50.060 How did the death toll drop?
00:06:51.280 It dropped because they redefined what a COVID death is.
00:06:54.780 The official total fell from 1,634 to 1,223 on Friday because they changed their methodology
00:07:02.460 here.
00:07:03.260 So now this number includes only people who, quote, died as a direct result of COVID-19
00:07:10.880 or had the virus as a contributing cause of death or for whom COVID-19 could not be ruled
00:07:20.500 out as a cause of death.
00:07:21.840 Okay, that's a pretty broad definition.
00:07:25.940 That's still too broad as far as I'm concerned.
00:07:28.520 If you have stage four lung cancer and then you have, or stage four pancreatic cancer and
00:07:34.480 then you get COVID and then you die sometime later, is that really a COVID death?
00:07:39.380 I don't think so.
00:07:40.460 But according to these rules, it could be counted as one.
00:07:44.380 Or if you die and they don't really know the circumstances, but you know, you did have
00:07:48.260 COVID, but it doesn't seem likely that still could be counted as one.
00:07:50.900 So what did they take out?
00:07:52.840 Well, they took out people where they know that COVID-19 was not the cause of death.
00:08:01.240 Okay, they took out people who get shot in the head, but they have COVID-19 and previously
00:08:05.360 they were counted as a COVID death.
00:08:06.880 So here, just more, as if you needed more evidence, more evidence that what we have been
00:08:14.020 told about this virus is not true.
00:08:15.940 Studies show, and now the Fauci emails prove that what we were told about the masks was
00:08:21.960 not true.
00:08:22.680 What we were told about risks to certain groups, not true.
00:08:26.220 What we were told about the necessity of certain precautions, not true.
00:08:30.300 And even what we were told about the death numbers, not true.
00:08:32.580 This is just one county in California.
00:08:34.600 How many other counties in the country would this be true for?
00:08:36.880 Finally, finally, finally, establishment politicians are coming out and saying, enough is enough.
00:08:45.220 This thing is rotten and we've got to axe the head of this public health bureaucracy.
00:08:51.060 That man's name would be Dr. Fauci.
00:08:52.600 Even Kevin McCarthy, who has done a pretty good job of keeping the Republicans in the House
00:08:58.080 together.
00:08:58.540 You know, he's well-liked by the establishment, but he's also not totally alienated the conservatives.
00:09:05.400 McCarthy just came out.
00:09:06.360 He said, we got to oust Fauci.
00:09:08.700 Does Fauci need to go?
00:09:10.120 Does President Biden need to fire him?
00:09:11.620 Does he need to resign?
00:09:13.900 Well, the number one thing that has to be for the American public, does the American public
00:09:18.180 trust Dr. Fauci now that you've seen the emails, now that you've seen the flip-flop of positions,
00:09:24.220 and just now that he's requesting from China to get the information, you've got to trust
00:09:30.400 the individuals to look into this.
00:09:32.380 Hundreds of thousands of Americans have died.
00:09:35.960 And if you've taken every certain position in it, how are you able to come back with the
00:09:41.000 trust of the nation to get to the bottom of it?
00:09:44.160 We have to know what went on and who knew what and when.
00:09:48.920 I mean, everything we're finding there, how can the president, and I know the American
00:09:54.440 people don't have trust in Dr. Fauci.
00:09:57.120 This is the key here.
00:09:58.580 When people do not believe what the public health bureaucracy is putting out, whether
00:10:03.360 it's on the masks, whether it's on the deaths, whether it's on the lockdown measures, whatever,
00:10:07.300 when the American people are reticent to get the vaccine, which is true of at least one
00:10:11.660 out of every five Americans just don't want to get this vaccine or these vaccines, that's
00:10:16.940 not their fault.
00:10:17.860 That is the fault of the public health bureaucracy.
00:10:21.280 If the public health officials, and Dr. Fauci is the prime example of this, if they had even
00:10:27.520 one-tenth of one-quarter of one modicum of credibility left, I think a lot more Americans
00:10:34.760 would go along with them.
00:10:36.480 But they don't.
00:10:37.500 They've squandered that because they're incompetence and alternately liars.
00:10:42.960 And they have proven their incompetency and they've proven their dishonesty every single
00:10:47.860 step of the way.
00:10:51.020 Now, Dr. Fauci is not taking this lying down.
00:10:53.900 Dr. Fauci, how dare you?
00:10:55.380 How dare you, Kevin McCarthy, question the exalted Dr. Fauci, the high priest of secular
00:11:00.320 progressivism?
00:11:01.160 If you question Fauci, my, by golly, you're questioning the science.
00:11:07.100 It's really very much an attack on science.
00:11:10.320 I think, Rachel, what is the thread going through what's happening now is very much an anti-science
00:11:16.320 approach.
00:11:17.480 So that's a big, big difference.
00:11:19.540 I mean, it is what it is.
00:11:20.560 I'm a public figure.
00:11:21.440 I'm going to take the arrows and the slings.
00:11:24.260 But they're just, they're fabricated.
00:11:26.760 And that's just what it is.
00:11:28.360 But we'll just have to do our jobs, Rachel.
00:11:32.020 That's what I do.
00:11:32.980 All the other stuff is just a terrible, not happy type of a distraction.
00:11:38.480 But it's all nonsense.
00:11:40.600 Whatever the origin is, you know, there's this concern, is it a natural evolution or is
00:11:45.840 it something that happened out of a lab, an accident or what have you?
00:11:49.780 It is important to understand that.
00:11:52.240 But it is being approached now in a very vehement way and in a very distorted way, I believe,
00:11:58.680 by attacking me.
00:11:59.900 I think the question is extremely legitimate.
00:12:03.180 You should want to know how this happened so that we can make sure it doesn't happen
00:12:08.900 again.
00:12:09.940 But what's happened in the middle of all that?
00:12:12.860 I've become the object of extraordinary, I believe, completely inappropriate, distorted,
00:12:19.120 misleading and misrepresented attacks.
00:12:22.820 This question is completely appropriate, OK?
00:12:26.600 But if you're asking it, then you're anti-science and you're a dumb idiot, stupid, rube, evil,
00:12:32.660 evil distraction.
00:12:34.040 This guy, this guy is everything wrong with progressive politics.
00:12:40.220 Because he says, look, I am science, right?
00:12:43.280 I, Dr. Fauci, am science.
00:12:44.920 An attack on me is an attack on the science.
00:12:47.400 Now, Dr. Fauci knows he's a politician.
00:12:49.480 That's his job.
00:12:49.960 Public health.
00:12:50.920 The health part is the science.
00:12:52.040 The public part is the politics.
00:12:54.120 I know that I'm a public figure, OK?
00:12:57.100 But it's a distraction to attack.
00:12:58.680 If you don't want to be answerable to the people, then don't be in politics.
00:13:02.860 But he's not quite in politics, right?
00:13:04.400 He's in progressive politics.
00:13:06.140 He's in a sort of politics where he is protected from any accountability to the people.
00:13:11.880 When things get as chaotic as this, one wants to have something tangible to hold on to.
00:13:18.280 And that's why I would strongly recommend Acre Gold.
00:13:20.560 You want a bar of gold, but you don't have a zillion dollars in the couch cushions.
00:13:25.120 OK, how are you going to do this?
00:13:26.060 Well, Acre has the answer.
00:13:28.480 Acre lets you subscribe to gold bars for as little as $30 a month.
00:13:33.300 You pay each month, and once your gold stash reaches the price of their gold bars,
00:13:37.980 they will discreetly ship Acre Gold to your house.
00:13:41.240 Acre has a new $100 a month subscription to a 5-gram gold bar.
00:13:44.660 Acre lets you invest in the physical gold without coming out of pocket all at once.
00:13:48.060 I have really enjoyed investing in precious metals, specifically gold.
00:13:51.920 I find that it's a good hedge when things start to get a little crazy in the economy.
00:13:55.300 And I enjoy investing in Acre Gold, for that matter.
00:13:58.720 I really like my bar of Acre Gold, and I hope to have more very soon.
00:14:03.280 But you've got to wait until your stash gets up to that price.
00:14:05.220 It's just a really great way to start investing in precious metals.
00:14:08.560 Head on over to getacregold.com slash Knowles.
00:14:10.480 Start investing in physical gold today.
00:14:11.940 Make sure you go to this URL, because Acre is giving away a gold bar.
00:14:15.980 To qualify for the giveaway, tweet or post why you should be the recipient.
00:14:18.980 And mention at get underscore Acre.
00:14:21.180 That is getacregold.com slash Knowles.
00:14:23.320 Thank you, Acre Gold, for supporting the show.
00:14:25.820 Dr. Fauci declares that an attack on him is an attack on science.
00:14:31.320 And he is probably unaware of the political insight that he is giving us here.
00:14:37.820 He's probably unaware of how much he is revealing about leftist ideology,
00:14:42.160 because I don't think he's politically very sophisticated.
00:14:44.660 I think he's a doer.
00:14:45.860 I think he's the mechanism of this, and we here are the ones who get to analyze it
00:14:49.940 and figure out what it means.
00:14:51.840 This is broadly the position of the left.
00:14:54.320 It was true of Marx.
00:14:55.360 It was true of the progressives in the 20th century.
00:14:58.560 It remains true of leftists today.
00:15:00.320 They believe that their political views are scientific.
00:15:02.780 They believe they know the science of history.
00:15:05.080 They believe they know the science of politics.
00:15:07.260 And they believe that if you stand in their way,
00:15:09.700 you are merely impeding the inevitable flow of progress.
00:15:13.180 And so it's just a distraction.
00:15:15.980 Whenever people are impeding their wishes,
00:15:18.880 that is an unnecessary and illegitimate distraction.
00:15:22.800 Never mind that their priorities change by the day.
00:15:27.080 Never mind that Dr. Fauci has contradicted himself on the masks,
00:15:30.320 on the lockdowns, on the vaccine availability,
00:15:33.580 on the origin of the virus, on the culpability of China.
00:15:38.000 He's contradicted himself on every single issue.
00:15:40.420 Doesn't matter.
00:15:40.900 Whatever he says is science.
00:15:42.720 And if you contradict him, that is illegitimate.
00:15:46.240 He can contradict himself, but you can't contradict him.
00:15:48.500 You, the people.
00:15:49.620 You, you measly little people.
00:15:51.140 And you know what?
00:15:54.160 There's nothing you can do about it.
00:15:55.920 There's nothing, there's nothing that Dr. Fauci can do
00:15:59.020 that would get him fired.
00:16:01.160 To quote a great man,
00:16:03.600 to borrow a phrase from a great man,
00:16:05.320 Dr. Fauci could walk out into Fifth Avenue
00:16:07.760 and shoot somebody in the middle of the street.
00:16:11.320 He would not lose a single vote of confidence
00:16:13.700 from the people who decide that he stays in his job.
00:16:16.420 And those people are not the American people.
00:16:18.480 Those people are the Democratic hacks
00:16:22.100 who run our government.
00:16:24.440 Namely, Joe Biden.
00:16:26.540 Jen Psaki, White House Press Secretary, was asked this.
00:16:28.740 Is there any circumstance in which Trump,
00:16:33.060 or Trump if only,
00:16:34.240 in which Biden would fire Fauci?
00:16:36.460 Here's the answer.
00:16:37.840 Since you mentioned Dr. Fauci again,
00:16:39.420 can you imagine any circumstance
00:16:40.780 where President Biden would ever fire him?
00:16:43.500 No.
00:16:44.200 Go ahead.
00:16:45.740 Just to follow up a little bit on Russia.
00:16:48.500 Doesn't miss a beat.
00:16:50.080 Nothing Fauci could do.
00:16:52.140 There is no job requirement.
00:16:54.580 There is no level, basic level of competency
00:16:57.080 he needs to fulfill.
00:16:57.960 There is no goal that if he doesn't meet,
00:17:00.420 he loses his job.
00:17:02.080 He is the most powerful man in the country.
00:17:06.120 There are many circumstances
00:17:07.240 in which Joe Biden loses his job.
00:17:09.900 Plenty.
00:17:10.500 And Jen Psaki and everybody else in the government.
00:17:12.480 If Joe Biden commits a high crime and misdemeanor
00:17:14.980 and we summon the political will,
00:17:16.320 he'll be impeached and removed.
00:17:17.920 If Joe Biden somehow manages to run again,
00:17:20.480 the American people could kick him out of his job.
00:17:22.100 But not Dr. Fauci,
00:17:24.020 because he represents science.
00:17:25.820 If Dr. Fauci is science,
00:17:29.200 count me out.
00:17:30.120 I guess I'm,
00:17:30.800 I mean, I'm not one for the cult of science anyway,
00:17:33.120 because I think it's pushed by people
00:17:35.100 who are extremely ignorant
00:17:36.240 of the history of science
00:17:38.240 and the philosophy of science.
00:17:39.420 They don't know what it is
00:17:40.500 that they are worshiping.
00:17:41.940 They don't know what it is
00:17:42.740 that they've made an idol out of.
00:17:44.260 But if it is Fauci,
00:17:45.260 if Fauci is the idol,
00:17:46.300 count me out.
00:17:47.500 Why can't we fix this?
00:17:51.260 Why is it that this guy,
00:17:54.020 Fauci,
00:17:54.600 can totally expose himself for what he is?
00:17:56.780 And I'm,
00:17:57.060 I'm using him in particular,
00:17:59.320 but also as a representative
00:18:00.320 of the broader failures
00:18:01.500 of the public health bureaucracy.
00:18:03.400 Why can't we fire any of these people?
00:18:05.100 Do you know why?
00:18:05.900 Because we're not a serious political movement
00:18:07.860 on the right.
00:18:08.500 We're not.
00:18:09.660 We're not.
00:18:10.080 The left is a serious political movement.
00:18:11.960 The left is very clever about politics.
00:18:14.520 The left knows how speech works.
00:18:16.400 The left knows how government works.
00:18:18.260 The left knows how administration works
00:18:20.640 and they use it to their advantage
00:18:22.380 and they transform the whole country.
00:18:24.780 I write about this at great length
00:18:26.060 in my upcoming book,
00:18:26.740 Speechless, Controlling Words,
00:18:27.580 Controlling Minds,
00:18:27.980 available now for pre-order at Amazon,
00:18:29.640 Barnes & Noble,
00:18:30.240 everywhere,
00:18:30.900 and signed first edition
00:18:32.540 from Premier Collectibles.
00:18:34.040 The left is really smart
00:18:35.740 and competent at this
00:18:37.020 and the right is completely useless at it.
00:18:39.540 I'll give you an example
00:18:41.900 of how the right is so useless.
00:18:43.160 So the right in the last few decades
00:18:45.760 has absorbed libertarianism into it.
00:18:51.960 Conservatism,
00:18:53.140 conservative political thought,
00:18:54.460 and libertarianism
00:18:55.620 are rather different things.
00:18:58.640 But over the past many decades,
00:19:01.500 actually,
00:19:01.740 over the past six decades or so,
00:19:04.760 the right,
00:19:05.540 the conservatives,
00:19:06.320 absorbed libertarianism.
00:19:07.840 That's at least what we thought
00:19:08.580 we were doing.
00:19:09.060 What actually happened
00:19:09.900 is that we basically just sold out
00:19:12.060 all of our political positions
00:19:13.480 for the views of libertarians.
00:19:15.280 And the libertarians of today,
00:19:17.920 the libertarian party,
00:19:19.580 I hesitate even to call them libertarians
00:19:21.620 because they would be such a shame,
00:19:23.660 such a disgrace
00:19:24.360 to the serious libertarian thinkers
00:19:26.460 with whom I have disagreements,
00:19:27.620 but they're far superior
00:19:28.820 to these guys running around today.
00:19:32.040 Libertarian party of New Hampshire,
00:19:33.420 amid all of the craziness
00:19:34.620 that's going on,
00:19:35.520 lockdowns in the country,
00:19:37.560 people being forced
00:19:39.700 to close their businesses,
00:19:41.880 people not being permitted to travel,
00:19:43.360 the upending of our election laws,
00:19:44.920 election integrity laws,
00:19:46.000 right out the window.
00:19:47.500 The libertarian party of New Hampshire
00:19:48.860 decides to tweet out,
00:19:49.840 quote,
00:19:50.200 legalize child labor.
00:19:52.140 Children will learn more
00:19:53.080 on a job site
00:19:53.720 than in a public school.
00:19:57.120 This is why,
00:19:58.260 this is why
00:19:58.980 we can't have nice things.
00:20:00.340 Because when we have
00:20:02.000 every advantage,
00:20:02.940 when the left
00:20:03.320 has totally exposed itself
00:20:04.740 as stupid and corrupt
00:20:06.580 and pushing positions
00:20:09.040 that are very unpopular,
00:20:11.240 the freaking libertarians
00:20:12.860 decide to endorse
00:20:14.000 child labor.
00:20:15.220 That's,
00:20:15.500 that's going to win elections.
00:20:17.340 That's a resounding issue,
00:20:18.960 right?
00:20:19.440 Child labor,
00:20:20.840 forcing eight-year-olds
00:20:21.920 into the factories.
00:20:23.020 Yeah,
00:20:23.740 that'll do it.
00:20:25.180 Grabbing defeat
00:20:26.080 from the jaws of victory.
00:20:27.540 It's not just
00:20:28.240 this one kooky tweet
00:20:29.200 from one kooky libertarian party.
00:20:30.920 The libertarian party
00:20:31.800 of Texas tweets out,
00:20:32.780 quote,
00:20:32.840 until we have open borders,
00:20:34.660 we can't get rid
00:20:35.380 of the welfare state.
00:20:36.600 Oh,
00:20:36.880 is that so?
00:20:38.240 Oh,
00:20:38.720 the,
00:20:39.080 oh my gosh,
00:20:40.160 you people,
00:20:40.700 you people.
00:20:42.020 Please give me the patience,
00:20:43.620 Lord,
00:20:44.220 to abide
00:20:46.160 these
00:20:46.840 very misguided
00:20:48.620 squishy lunatics.
00:20:53.620 We're not going to get rid
00:20:54.660 of the welfare state anyway.
00:20:55.720 We can do things
00:20:56.280 to try to reduce,
00:20:57.140 to reduce it and minimize it,
00:20:58.340 but we're certainly
00:20:58.800 not going to get rid of it.
00:20:59.740 It's just a pie in the sky.
00:21:00.880 It ain't going to happen.
00:21:01.820 But also,
00:21:02.300 you think the answer
00:21:03.320 to,
00:21:04.920 to this problem
00:21:05.820 of the growing welfare state
00:21:07.060 and creeping socialism
00:21:07.920 is to,
00:21:08.800 um,
00:21:10.900 erase national borders,
00:21:12.540 to take one
00:21:14.180 terrible situation
00:21:15.200 and then add
00:21:16.260 a much worse situation
00:21:17.440 to it?
00:21:17.780 That's the problem.
00:21:18.400 The majority of Americans,
00:21:20.020 including Democrats,
00:21:21.580 want to drastically reduce
00:21:23.600 not just illegal,
00:21:24.900 but also legal immigration.
00:21:26.300 And your answer,
00:21:27.260 when we've got totally
00:21:28.200 the upper hand in politics,
00:21:29.740 is to endorse
00:21:31.340 the least popular
00:21:33.200 political position
00:21:34.200 further to the left
00:21:35.480 even of the Democratic Party.
00:21:36.800 That's the,
00:21:37.220 that's the Libertarian Party answer.
00:21:39.260 Reminds me of that
00:21:39.960 Libertarian Party debate.
00:21:41.180 Do you remember this?
00:21:41.740 This was a few years ago.
00:21:42.940 Was it,
00:21:43.480 maybe it was 2016.
00:21:44.420 I don't really remember.
00:21:46.200 Maybe it was 2012.
00:21:47.220 Whatever.
00:21:47.840 Who cares?
00:21:48.440 It's Libertarian Party
00:21:49.400 presidential debate.
00:21:50.960 My friend Larry Elder
00:21:51.940 was moderating it,
00:21:52.820 which was the highlight
00:21:53.920 of the event.
00:21:54.820 And he asked
00:21:55.900 a simple question.
00:21:56.640 Should,
00:21:57.640 should we have
00:21:58.060 driver's licenses?
00:21:59.880 Here are the answers.
00:22:01.140 Should someone have to have
00:22:02.260 a government-issued license
00:22:03.560 to drive a car?
00:22:05.020 What's next?
00:22:05.920 Requiring a license
00:22:06.960 to make toast
00:22:08.040 in your own damn toaster?
00:22:13.060 The license to drive?
00:22:14.960 You know,
00:22:15.360 I'd like to see
00:22:16.060 some competency
00:22:16.980 exhibited by people
00:22:18.540 before they drive.
00:22:19.680 Oh my gosh.
00:22:24.580 Any,
00:22:25.460 any political movement
00:22:27.740 that is going to have
00:22:28.800 any success
00:22:29.600 needs to forget this.
00:22:32.260 Whatever this is,
00:22:34.260 this first fellow
00:22:35.260 who says,
00:22:35.960 a license,
00:22:36.420 a license to drive?
00:22:37.880 What's next?
00:22:38.980 I don't know.
00:22:40.080 It's like,
00:22:40.560 those have basically
00:22:42.440 always existed
00:22:43.080 to some degree
00:22:43.860 or another,
00:22:44.460 you know,
00:22:44.780 and even if that
00:22:46.960 were not the case,
00:22:48.240 even if there were
00:22:48.960 never any regulations
00:22:50.100 on driving,
00:22:50.880 you know,
00:22:51.320 from the earliest days,
00:22:52.180 let's say,
00:22:52.640 of automotives.
00:22:55.900 Is this,
00:22:56.600 this is a popular issue?
00:22:57.600 This is a winning
00:22:58.020 political issue?
00:22:59.740 This is the matter
00:23:00.800 of justice
00:23:01.580 that we need to fight?
00:23:03.900 No.
00:23:05.160 No.
00:23:05.880 Gary Johnson,
00:23:07.400 not,
00:23:07.860 not the most conservative
00:23:09.260 guy in the world.
00:23:09.940 He left the,
00:23:10.760 the,
00:23:11.460 his,
00:23:11.700 his governorship
00:23:12.700 in New Mexico
00:23:13.560 to go run a marijuana
00:23:14.520 company,
00:23:15.020 okay?
00:23:15.320 He's not,
00:23:15.960 and when Gary Johnson
00:23:17.220 is the voice of reason,
00:23:18.200 you know you've got
00:23:18.740 a problem
00:23:19.080 with your party.
00:23:20.220 There are many problems
00:23:21.380 with this kind of stuff.
00:23:22.880 It has very little
00:23:24.000 to do with the actual
00:23:24.980 U.S. political tradition,
00:23:26.160 right?
00:23:26.280 It's not conservative
00:23:27.000 really at all.
00:23:27.680 It isn't particularly just,
00:23:29.160 it's based on a false
00:23:29.900 understanding of human
00:23:30.720 nature and politics.
00:23:32.220 But,
00:23:32.620 most important of all,
00:23:34.220 I really need to drive
00:23:35.240 this point home
00:23:35.780 to the Republicans
00:23:36.420 out there.
00:23:37.660 This appeals
00:23:38.500 to nobody,
00:23:40.400 okay?
00:23:40.680 This harping
00:23:41.420 on these
00:23:42.040 insane
00:23:43.300 libertarian party
00:23:46.100 freshman year
00:23:47.160 smoke up
00:23:48.540 in your dorm room
00:23:49.300 and have a bull
00:23:49.880 session
00:23:50.340 LARPing nonsense
00:23:52.660 appeals to
00:23:53.520 absolutely nobody,
00:23:54.900 okay?
00:23:55.280 You can,
00:23:55.680 if you look at the
00:23:56.220 political compass test,
00:23:57.360 right,
00:23:57.540 or if you look at,
00:23:58.000 at sort of political
00:23:58.940 surveys of where
00:23:59.520 people stand,
00:24:01.020 nobody is in the,
00:24:02.900 this libertarian
00:24:03.760 corner of politics,
00:24:04.800 okay?
00:24:05.160 There are a lot of
00:24:05.720 people far in various
00:24:06.760 regions of the left
00:24:07.480 and there are a lot
00:24:07.920 of people who are
00:24:08.920 socially conservative
00:24:09.780 and who are
00:24:10.520 relatively moderate
00:24:12.500 on broader
00:24:13.560 economic issues.
00:24:14.640 But nobody
00:24:15.480 is in that corner,
00:24:16.340 okay?
00:24:16.680 So,
00:24:17.200 when the right
00:24:17.880 focuses on that
00:24:18.720 corner,
00:24:19.000 it's not principled,
00:24:19.820 it's not dignified,
00:24:20.960 it's embracing
00:24:22.440 views that have
00:24:23.280 very little to do
00:24:23.920 with American
00:24:24.340 politics or justice
00:24:25.220 that,
00:24:26.300 and this is the
00:24:26.760 crucial point here,
00:24:27.900 permit Republicans
00:24:28.840 to be happy
00:24:30.580 losers.
00:24:31.700 Okay,
00:24:31.960 these are the
00:24:32.400 positions that
00:24:33.220 you can take
00:24:34.080 that aren't going
00:24:34.480 to offend anybody,
00:24:35.200 they're not going
00:24:35.500 to offend the
00:24:35.760 liberal state
00:24:36.320 because they don't
00:24:37.220 threaten the
00:24:37.600 liberal state
00:24:38.080 because nobody
00:24:39.120 supports it.
00:24:39.960 So,
00:24:40.240 everybody gets to
00:24:40.980 say,
00:24:41.240 well,
00:24:41.340 look,
00:24:41.520 I lost with
00:24:42.060 dignity,
00:24:42.560 it's the
00:24:43.600 squish wing
00:24:44.480 of the party
00:24:45.020 is embracing
00:24:46.040 these positions.
00:24:46.700 If we want to
00:24:47.180 win,
00:24:47.420 which I would
00:24:47.820 like to win,
00:24:48.680 I don't want
00:24:49.040 to lose with
00:24:49.420 dignity,
00:24:49.720 I don't think
00:24:50.100 the losers
00:24:50.480 have much
00:24:50.900 dignity,
00:24:51.540 for that matter,
00:24:52.580 then you've
00:24:52.980 got to start
00:24:53.840 embracing
00:24:54.440 winning issues.
00:24:56.120 And if your
00:24:57.280 philosophy tells
00:24:58.100 you that the
00:24:58.460 most important
00:24:58.900 thing right now
00:24:59.360 at this moment
00:24:59.840 is legalizing
00:25:00.840 five-year-olds
00:25:01.580 going into
00:25:02.080 the coal mines,
00:25:02.900 then you've
00:25:03.360 got to rethink
00:25:03.880 your political
00:25:04.340 philosophy.
00:25:05.760 Got to check
00:25:06.260 out today,
00:25:06.680 by the way,
00:25:07.120 Ben is going
00:25:07.540 to be talking
00:25:07.880 about how
00:25:08.480 for Biden,
00:25:09.000 being transgender
00:25:09.660 is the new
00:25:10.380 storming of
00:25:12.060 dignity.
00:25:12.240 This is another
00:25:12.820 great example
00:25:13.540 of focusing
00:25:14.320 on things
00:25:14.680 that are just
00:25:15.000 so preposterous,
00:25:16.420 but for the
00:25:16.740 left,
00:25:17.060 there's a point
00:25:17.540 and it actually
00:25:18.380 does give them
00:25:19.260 quite a lot
00:25:19.600 of political
00:25:19.880 power.
00:25:20.420 Go check
00:25:21.360 that out
00:25:21.600 today.
00:25:22.540 We'll be
00:25:22.760 right back
00:25:23.100 with a lot
00:25:23.360 more.
00:25:35.820 I've harped
00:25:36.440 enough on
00:25:37.440 why the
00:25:37.820 Libertarian
00:25:38.280 Party is
00:25:38.940 driving us
00:25:40.200 to lose
00:25:40.680 and lose
00:25:41.040 and lose,
00:25:41.380 but I
00:25:42.160 want to
00:25:42.360 show you
00:25:42.580 the other
00:25:42.980 side of
00:25:43.400 that.
00:25:44.520 There was
00:25:45.480 a correct
00:25:47.140 column in
00:25:47.740 the New York
00:25:48.060 Times today.
00:25:49.060 I know,
00:25:49.580 I hope,
00:25:49.880 man,
00:25:50.040 I hope you
00:25:50.400 weren't driving
00:25:51.000 when I said
00:25:51.520 that because
00:25:52.280 you might
00:25:52.560 crash your
00:25:53.380 car when I
00:25:54.140 would say
00:25:54.360 something so
00:25:54.780 shocking,
00:25:55.440 but it's
00:25:55.720 true.
00:25:56.560 There was
00:25:57.020 a good
00:25:57.400 column in
00:25:57.900 the New
00:25:58.080 York
00:25:58.180 Times.
00:25:59.200 I don't
00:25:59.640 want to
00:25:59.780 say good.
00:26:00.620 It was
00:26:00.920 insightful.
00:26:01.760 It was
00:26:01.940 accurate.
00:26:03.100 Headline,
00:26:04.960 cancel culture
00:26:05.620 works.
00:26:06.640 We wouldn't
00:26:07.160 have marriage
00:26:08.000 equality
00:26:08.520 without it.
00:26:10.480 Now,
00:26:10.740 one reason
00:26:11.360 this is a
00:26:11.840 decent column,
00:26:12.580 I think,
00:26:12.960 it was a
00:26:13.320 guest essay.
00:26:14.080 It's not
00:26:14.440 from a
00:26:14.960 regular columnist.
00:26:15.420 There's no
00:26:15.760 way that a
00:26:16.160 regular
00:26:16.480 columnist
00:26:16.960 at the
00:26:17.160 New York
00:26:17.340 Times could
00:26:17.700 ever write
00:26:18.060 anything
00:26:18.340 insightful,
00:26:19.260 but this
00:26:19.680 is by
00:26:20.000 Sasha
00:26:20.420 Isenberg,
00:26:21.520 who's the
00:26:22.000 author of
00:26:22.340 The
00:26:22.440 Engagement,
00:26:23.080 America's
00:26:23.460 Quarter
00:26:23.640 Century
00:26:24.080 Struggle
00:26:25.280 Over
00:26:25.580 Same-Sex
00:26:26.180 Marriage.
00:26:27.100 It talks
00:26:27.620 about the
00:26:28.280 campaign.
00:26:28.520 I won't
00:26:29.140 read the
00:26:29.940 column
00:26:30.380 verbatim,
00:26:30.820 but it's
00:26:31.000 worth reading.
00:26:31.760 It talks
00:26:32.080 about the
00:26:32.400 campaign to
00:26:33.140 redefine
00:26:33.600 marriage.
00:26:34.820 This was an
00:26:35.760 extraordinarily
00:26:36.500 uphill battle.
00:26:39.260 You have
00:26:39.620 basically one
00:26:40.840 definition of
00:26:41.600 marriage for
00:26:42.640 all of human
00:26:43.540 history everywhere
00:26:44.660 in the world,
00:26:45.740 and then you
00:26:46.840 have this radical
00:26:47.560 liberal idea.
00:26:49.500 According to the
00:26:50.440 old definition of
00:26:51.140 marriage,
00:26:51.580 whether there was
00:26:52.180 polygamy,
00:26:53.020 whether there
00:26:53.560 were various
00:26:54.220 laws of
00:26:54.660 consanguinity or
00:26:55.400 whatever,
00:26:56.200 at the most
00:26:57.080 basic level,
00:26:58.260 marriage everywhere
00:26:59.300 and at all
00:26:59.960 times,
00:27:01.600 essentially involved
00:27:02.840 sexual
00:27:04.020 difference.
00:27:05.480 At the very
00:27:06.340 least,
00:27:06.780 it had to
00:27:07.120 involve men
00:27:07.740 and women
00:27:08.320 together,
00:27:09.200 right?
00:27:11.340 The radicals
00:27:12.700 in the last
00:27:13.700 ten years,
00:27:14.400 this isn't very
00:27:14.940 old,
00:27:15.460 in the last
00:27:15.780 ten years,
00:27:16.880 came along
00:27:17.400 and said,
00:27:17.820 you know,
00:27:19.360 actually,
00:27:20.480 marriage does
00:27:22.660 not have to
00:27:23.200 do with
00:27:23.440 sexual
00:27:23.740 difference.
00:27:24.340 What does
00:27:24.580 it have to
00:27:24.860 do?
00:27:25.040 It has to
00:27:25.500 do with
00:27:25.820 romantic
00:27:26.220 love.
00:27:26.640 Well,
00:27:26.800 romantic
00:27:27.080 love actually
00:27:27.600 is kind
00:27:28.080 of sort
00:27:29.100 of new
00:27:29.520 in our
00:27:30.280 notion of
00:27:30.740 marriage.
00:27:31.180 Yeah,
00:27:31.280 well,
00:27:31.420 it's romantic
00:27:31.960 love,
00:27:32.360 but only
00:27:32.940 between two
00:27:33.440 people.
00:27:33.860 So it
00:27:34.080 can't be
00:27:34.380 polygamous.
00:27:34.840 No,
00:27:35.140 it's just
00:27:35.720 between two
00:27:36.240 people.
00:27:36.860 It's a
00:27:37.140 loving union.
00:27:37.900 Well,
00:27:38.020 me and my
00:27:38.400 friend,
00:27:38.740 we love
00:27:39.000 each other,
00:27:39.560 but we don't
00:27:40.220 know.
00:27:40.660 It's a
00:27:41.320 romantic
00:27:41.800 sexual.
00:27:42.620 Anyway,
00:27:43.020 we're going
00:27:43.260 to redefine
00:27:43.780 it.
00:27:44.200 And if
00:27:44.420 you don't
00:27:45.040 hold this
00:27:45.480 new radical
00:27:46.340 view that's
00:27:47.020 existed for
00:27:47.760 five minutes
00:27:48.420 now,
00:27:49.000 you are a
00:27:49.720 vicious
00:27:50.080 bigot who
00:27:50.840 has no
00:27:51.380 place in
00:27:51.880 society.
00:27:53.260 That's what
00:27:53.920 these radicals
00:27:54.620 said,
00:27:54.760 and you think
00:27:54.960 there's no
00:27:55.300 way this
00:27:55.540 is going
00:27:55.680 to work.
00:27:56.680 There's no
00:27:57.560 way.
00:27:59.200 There was
00:28:00.020 a ballot
00:28:00.840 proposition
00:28:01.360 to define
00:28:02.640 marriage as
00:28:03.380 it has
00:28:03.600 always been
00:28:03.940 defined,
00:28:04.540 but just
00:28:04.780 to put it
00:28:05.080 in writing
00:28:05.440 in California
00:28:06.140 called Prop
00:28:06.640 8.
00:28:08.120 The
00:28:08.360 Democratic
00:28:09.500 base is
00:28:10.120 the one
00:28:10.340 that shot
00:28:10.680 it down
00:28:10.980 because black
00:28:11.420 voters did
00:28:11.900 not support
00:28:12.320 this sort
00:28:12.640 of thing.
00:28:14.260 But then
00:28:15.040 the left
00:28:16.400 engaged in
00:28:17.260 cancel culture.
00:28:19.020 So the left
00:28:19.840 went in
00:28:20.300 and anyone
00:28:22.860 that voiced
00:28:24.040 any opposition
00:28:25.300 to this
00:28:25.720 radical
00:28:26.260 redefinition
00:28:26.940 of marriage
00:28:27.380 saw their
00:28:28.220 life destroyed.
00:28:30.080 You remember
00:28:30.620 this.
00:28:30.940 I mean,
00:28:31.180 there are a
00:28:31.840 number of
00:28:32.100 examples in
00:28:32.840 this New York
00:28:33.220 Times column.
00:28:33.800 I think it was
00:28:34.180 Brandon Icke,
00:28:35.040 the guy who
00:28:35.740 started Mozilla.
00:28:37.060 He donated
00:28:37.800 something like
00:28:38.380 $800 or
00:28:39.640 $1,000 to
00:28:40.660 the Prop
00:28:41.260 8 campaign.
00:28:42.860 Is he Christian
00:28:44.200 or he's
00:28:44.540 conservative or
00:28:45.280 whatever?
00:28:45.720 This is the
00:28:46.360 view that has
00:28:47.020 been held by
00:28:47.680 statistically every
00:28:48.560 single person
00:28:49.060 throughout history.
00:28:49.660 It doesn't seem
00:28:50.480 like a radical
00:28:50.940 view to say men
00:28:51.740 and women are
00:28:52.100 involved in
00:28:52.460 marriage.
00:28:53.820 His life was
00:28:54.580 destroyed.
00:28:54.940 He was booted
00:28:55.340 from his
00:28:55.640 company.
00:28:55.960 And this
00:28:57.040 sent a message.
00:28:57.680 He said,
00:28:57.880 oh, if we
00:28:58.420 hold these
00:28:58.740 views now,
00:28:59.540 the views that
00:28:59.900 everyone's always
00:29:00.320 held, we will
00:29:01.220 lose our
00:29:02.340 livelihoods.
00:29:02.900 Okay.
00:29:03.560 So people
00:29:03.940 stopped holding
00:29:04.400 the views and
00:29:04.980 now it's
00:29:06.800 worked.
00:29:07.340 If you question
00:29:08.580 this, you
00:29:10.180 will be
00:29:10.840 destroyed unless
00:29:11.640 your job is
00:29:13.580 in conservative
00:29:14.220 politics.
00:29:14.820 And by the
00:29:15.220 way, even if
00:29:16.260 you work in
00:29:16.740 conservative, the
00:29:17.460 view that I'm
00:29:17.940 expressing right
00:29:18.480 now is a
00:29:19.180 very unpopular
00:29:20.080 view among
00:29:21.680 conservative political
00:29:23.660 professionals.
00:29:24.160 I think if you
00:29:24.800 polled most
00:29:25.960 people who are
00:29:27.200 in elected
00:29:28.740 office in the
00:29:29.480 Republican Party
00:29:30.140 or who work
00:29:31.740 as staffers for
00:29:33.080 politicians or
00:29:34.140 even who work in
00:29:34.880 the conservative
00:29:35.320 media, I suspect
00:29:36.720 the majority of
00:29:38.000 them support this
00:29:39.800 radical redefinition
00:29:40.760 of marriage.
00:29:41.720 So even here,
00:29:42.480 there's no guarantee
00:29:43.140 that you're safe.
00:29:44.660 I mention this not
00:29:46.120 because of the
00:29:47.440 marriage issue.
00:29:48.160 That's actually not
00:29:48.820 what I'm interested in
00:29:49.640 at the moment.
00:29:50.280 I mention it because
00:29:51.300 I'm interested in
00:29:51.940 cancel culture.
00:29:52.580 Because cancel
00:29:53.560 culture does work
00:29:54.560 because this New
00:29:55.100 York Times columnist
00:29:55.880 is right.
00:29:56.780 And conservatives
00:29:57.380 once understood
00:29:58.920 this and we once
00:30:00.320 were the enforcers
00:30:01.140 of cancel culture
00:30:01.940 and that was a
00:30:02.980 good thing.
00:30:04.040 The current line
00:30:05.440 from the left,
00:30:06.160 from the right
00:30:06.780 rather, I think
00:30:07.280 we're high on our
00:30:07.860 own supply here in
00:30:08.900 the conservative
00:30:09.320 movement, is that
00:30:10.320 we say that cancel
00:30:11.620 culture is strictly
00:30:12.700 a left-wing phenomenon
00:30:13.720 and it's always evil
00:30:15.600 and it's always
00:30:16.540 terrible because it's
00:30:17.520 a violation of
00:30:18.220 free speech
00:30:18.780 absolutism or
00:30:19.560 something.
00:30:20.300 And now it's so
00:30:21.760 ironic because
00:30:22.860 we don't engage
00:30:24.260 in this stuff,
00:30:24.780 you know, but
00:30:25.400 what the left
00:30:25.900 is doing is
00:30:26.380 they're behaving
00:30:26.880 just like Joe
00:30:28.600 McCarthy and
00:30:29.300 McCarthyism,
00:30:30.680 anti-communism in
00:30:31.760 the 1950s and
00:30:32.500 you say, wait a
00:30:32.880 second, hold on,
00:30:33.300 I thought you
00:30:33.580 said conservatives
00:30:34.500 never engaged in
00:30:35.180 cancel culture but
00:30:36.080 now you're comparing
00:30:36.640 cancel culture to
00:30:37.660 that very famous
00:30:38.700 example of
00:30:39.220 conservatives engaging
00:30:39.960 in cancel culture
00:30:40.640 which now you're
00:30:41.420 saying was terrible
00:30:42.080 but which I'm
00:30:42.580 saying was awesome.
00:30:44.320 It was great.
00:30:46.240 There were flaws
00:30:47.100 with it because Joe
00:30:47.900 McCarthy was
00:30:48.440 politically not
00:30:49.840 very adept,
00:30:50.680 particularly toward
00:30:51.280 the end and he
00:30:51.620 kind of actually
00:30:52.020 undermined anti-communism
00:30:53.000 but that's just a
00:30:53.820 tactical matter.
00:30:54.460 It's not a question
00:30:55.440 of the rightness or
00:30:56.080 wrongness of
00:30:56.480 anti-communism.
00:30:57.180 The point is there
00:30:59.400 will be standards.
00:31:01.360 We once knew this.
00:31:02.520 There will be taboos.
00:31:04.040 There will be things
00:31:05.080 that you can't say.
00:31:06.280 There will be things
00:31:06.720 that you can't do.
00:31:08.060 In the 50s that was
00:31:09.420 waving the communist
00:31:10.240 flag.
00:31:11.760 Today it's waving the
00:31:13.000 American flag.
00:31:14.120 Those are the taboos.
00:31:14.940 And we give up on
00:31:18.800 the enforcement of
00:31:19.480 standards at our
00:31:21.080 own peril.
00:31:22.000 If we will not
00:31:23.040 present a positive
00:31:24.620 vision, we cannot
00:31:26.780 win.
00:31:27.080 This is, by the way,
00:31:28.460 you may have heard me
00:31:28.960 mention this, the
00:31:29.880 thesis of my upcoming
00:31:30.620 book, Speechless,
00:31:31.220 Controlling Words,
00:31:31.740 Controlling Minds.
00:31:32.980 I guess this thesis is
00:31:35.560 very controversial on
00:31:37.060 the right.
00:31:37.500 I guess right now,
00:31:38.520 the right is basically
00:31:39.760 saying the opposite of
00:31:41.020 this thesis.
00:31:41.880 The current squish
00:31:43.440 conservatives are
00:31:44.780 insisting on the
00:31:45.420 exact opposite of my
00:31:49.420 view, which happens to
00:31:50.300 be correct.
00:31:51.300 But that's why we keep
00:31:53.300 losing, guys.
00:31:54.280 That's why if we want
00:31:56.000 to win, we need to
00:31:57.460 take a step back,
00:31:59.140 maybe put down the
00:32:01.580 joints that they gave
00:32:02.480 us in Washington
00:32:03.180 State, maybe put down
00:32:04.460 the ideological joints
00:32:05.680 that we've all been
00:32:06.220 puffing on for the past
00:32:07.040 few decades, stop
00:32:08.200 getting high on our
00:32:08.920 own supply, and say,
00:32:10.080 wait a second.
00:32:10.560 Maybe the slogans of
00:32:14.460 the past 10 years in
00:32:16.340 the GOP talking points,
00:32:17.640 maybe they're not
00:32:18.280 eternal truths.
00:32:20.000 Maybe conservatives of
00:32:22.500 eras past have something
00:32:23.560 to say.
00:32:24.640 Maybe, gosh, maybe even
00:32:26.140 the left understands
00:32:27.240 something.
00:32:28.240 Maybe we can learn from
00:32:29.060 them so we can start
00:32:29.660 winning like they do.
00:32:31.280 That would be nice.
00:32:32.280 We have so abandoned our
00:32:34.260 standards in this country
00:32:35.120 that we cannot even say
00:32:36.740 definitively that it is
00:32:38.800 wrong for women to be
00:32:41.220 forced to fight our
00:32:42.680 wars for us.
00:32:44.920 The Supreme Court just
00:32:47.200 came out and punted on
00:32:52.620 the question of drafting
00:32:53.540 women.
00:32:53.940 There was a case brought
00:32:54.700 up that said, is it
00:32:55.940 constitutional to prevent
00:32:59.000 women from being
00:32:59.700 drafted?
00:33:01.380 If you had asked this
00:33:02.360 question 10 years ago,
00:33:05.580 certainly, forget 50
00:33:07.080 years ago or 100 years
00:33:07.900 ago or 200 years ago,
00:33:08.640 if you had asked this
00:33:09.080 question even 10 years
00:33:09.760 ago, you said, hey, is
00:33:11.260 it a constitutional
00:33:12.160 obligation that women
00:33:13.940 be forced to serve
00:33:15.840 overseas and fight our
00:33:17.100 wars for us?
00:33:17.780 You would be laughed
00:33:18.560 out of the room on both
00:33:20.420 sides of the aisle.
00:33:21.420 But today, we've become
00:33:23.180 so obsessed with this
00:33:25.820 idea of exact gender
00:33:27.660 indiscernible.
00:33:28.920 I don't even want to
00:33:29.400 say gender equality.
00:33:30.260 The idea that men and
00:33:31.000 women are exactly the
00:33:31.880 same, which, by the way,
00:33:33.080 is the logic not only of
00:33:34.440 transgenderism, but also
00:33:35.660 of the redefinition of
00:33:36.520 marriage and also of many
00:33:37.560 social movements of the
00:33:38.420 last several decades
00:33:39.700 that the right has
00:33:40.700 bought into from the
00:33:42.060 left.
00:33:42.440 We have unfortunately
00:33:43.920 adopted their talking
00:33:45.000 points and their
00:33:45.840 premises.
00:33:46.620 So now, as the inevitable
00:33:48.280 conclusion of this, we're
00:33:49.740 going to have to go draft
00:33:50.680 women and ship them over
00:33:51.620 to Vietnam and fight the
00:33:52.740 visa.
00:33:53.000 I guess we're not fighting
00:33:53.540 that war anymore.
00:33:54.240 We're going to end up
00:33:54.760 shipping women to the
00:33:55.500 Middle East.
00:33:56.660 And we're going to
00:33:57.420 convince ourselves that
00:33:58.620 that is right and just.
00:33:59.760 But it's not right and
00:34:00.660 just.
00:34:01.120 It's simply wrong.
00:34:02.340 And it's wrong because
00:34:04.860 men and women are
00:34:05.620 different and men should
00:34:07.160 protect women because
00:34:08.520 women are the weaker
00:34:09.640 sex.
00:34:10.900 This was not a
00:34:11.780 controversial statement
00:34:12.600 anywhere at any time
00:34:14.200 until five seconds ago.
00:34:16.980 But we are we are living
00:34:18.640 in such a separate
00:34:21.200 ideological fantasy at
00:34:23.280 the moment.
00:34:23.860 Such as such a fantasy
00:34:25.140 that we believe men can
00:34:26.260 become women.
00:34:26.840 We believe that Bruce
00:34:27.440 Jenner is a woman now.
00:34:28.680 Such a fantasy that we
00:34:29.760 believe babies aren't
00:34:30.480 babies.
00:34:32.500 Such a fantasy that we
00:34:33.600 believe that men and
00:34:34.260 women are exactly the
00:34:35.020 same and women should be
00:34:35.840 shipped overseas to fight
00:34:36.760 our wars.
00:34:37.200 Now I don't want to leave
00:34:38.720 you in total despair.
00:34:41.920 There is some good news
00:34:43.360 coming out of the
00:34:43.980 federal government.
00:34:46.240 Actually some good news
00:34:47.060 coming out of the
00:34:47.520 Supreme Court.
00:34:48.460 There was a question
00:34:49.040 brought up to the
00:34:49.560 court.
00:34:51.060 Do illegal aliens have
00:34:53.800 the right to a green
00:34:55.700 card?
00:34:57.760 Now you see if if
00:35:00.460 illegal aliens have the
00:35:02.560 right to a green card
00:35:04.040 then we have by
00:35:06.460 judicial fiat
00:35:08.140 completely abolished our
00:35:10.240 national borders right?
00:35:12.180 If foreigners have the
00:35:14.300 right to certain
00:35:15.400 privileges of Americans
00:35:16.820 there's no border.
00:35:20.320 There's no border
00:35:21.280 whatsoever.
00:35:22.920 Thankfully I never you
00:35:24.460 never hear this out of
00:35:25.100 the court.
00:35:26.100 There was a unanimous
00:35:27.100 decision on what could
00:35:28.980 have been a controversial
00:35:29.620 issue.
00:35:31.140 It's not controversial as
00:35:32.280 a matter of the law but
00:35:33.340 it is controversial as a
00:35:34.280 matter of politics.
00:35:34.940 In a nine to zero
00:35:36.420 decision the Supreme
00:35:38.200 Court ruled that a law
00:35:39.480 barring illegal immigrants
00:35:41.520 from seeking green cards
00:35:42.560 is constitutional and that
00:35:44.980 those illegal aliens who
00:35:47.280 later earned temporary
00:35:48.440 protected status are still
00:35:50.580 ineligible to apply for
00:35:52.220 permanent residency and
00:35:53.500 Justice Elena Kagan who is
00:35:56.400 one of the court's more
00:35:57.840 left-wing justices but she's
00:35:59.120 smart at least unlike some
00:36:00.820 other justices in our
00:36:01.720 nation's history and
00:36:02.820 present.
00:36:04.260 Elena Kagan really is a
00:36:06.100 sharp cookie.
00:36:06.780 Scalia apparently liked her
00:36:07.880 you know.
00:36:10.980 Kagan wrote the opinion of
00:36:12.060 the court and said no this
00:36:13.240 is a step too far guys.
00:36:14.500 Okay good.
00:36:15.060 Finally there's some
00:36:15.840 recognition of standards
00:36:16.820 but if you asked your
00:36:17.700 average leftist on the
00:36:18.540 street you said hey do
00:36:21.420 illegal aliens I'm sorry
00:36:23.740 future future undocumented
00:36:27.020 Americans whatever I don't
00:36:28.460 know what the current
00:36:29.100 euphemism is people who are
00:36:30.720 much more American than
00:36:31.960 anybody else in the
00:36:33.140 country you know that
00:36:34.120 fellow from Guatemala who
00:36:35.300 doesn't speak a lick of
00:36:35.960 English that guy you know
00:36:37.060 he who crossed the border
00:36:38.320 illegally does he is it
00:36:40.880 legal to bar him and
00:36:43.720 prevent him from seeking a
00:36:45.720 green card you most left
00:36:47.600 is on the street would say
00:36:48.200 no it's deeply unjust
00:36:49.380 deeply unjust you need to
00:36:51.520 permit you need to give him
00:36:52.500 amnesty tomorrow but
00:36:54.080 thankfully the Supreme Court
00:36:54.960 at least has pushed the
00:36:56.040 brakes a little bit same
00:36:57.140 thing is true at the
00:36:57.660 Defense Department so you
00:36:58.380 remember the State
00:36:59.480 Department came out and
00:37:01.060 they said that embassies
00:37:02.340 around the world now are
00:37:03.640 not just going to fly the
00:37:04.420 American flag or the
00:37:05.600 prisoner of war missing
00:37:06.500 an action flag they also
00:37:08.240 can and in some cases are
00:37:10.060 encouraged to fly the
00:37:11.480 rainbow flag the pride
00:37:12.860 flag even at the Vatican
00:37:14.680 seems a little
00:37:15.200 disrespectful to me so I
00:37:19.380 pointed out that the
00:37:20.200 pride flag is really not no
00:37:22.560 it's no longer just a
00:37:23.780 representation of sexual
00:37:24.820 desire that's what they
00:37:26.500 want us to believe it is
00:37:27.340 but it's not it's a
00:37:28.100 representation of
00:37:29.120 progressivism it's a
00:37:31.320 representation of American
00:37:32.400 empire because the
00:37:34.300 American flag is a symbol
00:37:35.420 of the United States
00:37:36.340 which is a real country
00:37:37.120 with real people with real
00:37:37.960 borders but the rainbow
00:37:39.700 flag is a universal claim
00:37:41.360 the rainbow flag is just as
00:37:43.600 true in Tunisia as it is in
00:37:45.220 the United States right
00:37:46.000 because it's making claims
00:37:46.780 about human rights most
00:37:48.640 broadly that actually the
00:37:49.520 same is true of the Black
00:37:50.220 Lives Matter flag which is
00:37:52.180 why the left favors those
00:37:53.920 flags because those are
00:37:54.700 universal imperialist flags
00:37:57.180 rather than a specific
00:37:58.640 national flag because the
00:37:59.740 left no longer believes in
00:38:00.720 nations so the Defense
00:38:02.400 Department came out and
00:38:03.400 said that they will not
00:38:04.640 permit their bases to fly
00:38:06.380 the pride flag and they
00:38:07.800 were very cautious about
00:38:08.560 this the spokesman John
00:38:10.300 Kirby said this is in no
00:38:14.060 way reflects any lack of
00:38:15.100 respect or affirmation
00:38:16.380 rather for the LGBTQ plus
00:38:18.740 community this was really
00:38:19.960 more about the potential for
00:38:20.980 other challenges that could
00:38:21.960 arise from that exception
00:38:22.860 and this is this is my point
00:38:25.360 too this actually isn't
00:38:26.800 about the sex stuff I don't
00:38:29.580 think that's really what
00:38:30.240 this is about at all I think
00:38:31.460 this is about supplanting the
00:38:35.040 American flag redefining what
00:38:37.020 flag symbolizes our country
00:38:38.640 for the left today the pride
00:38:40.180 flag symbolizes the country
00:38:41.760 that they want much more so
00:38:42.880 than the American flag does
00:38:44.140 and it's a it's about keeping
00:38:45.760 the door closed to what would
00:38:46.960 happen if you put the pride
00:38:47.900 flag up then they're going to
00:38:48.920 demand the transgender flag then
00:38:50.040 they're going to demand the
00:38:50.640 Black Lives Matter flag then
00:38:51.520 they're going to demand the
00:38:52.900 Antifa flag for goodness sakes
00:38:54.300 they're gonna be flying the
00:38:55.460 ISIS flag by the time we're
00:38:56.440 through that is that some
00:38:59.940 good news that at least for
00:39:00.860 now the brass at the Pentagon
00:39:02.100 has put the brakes on this
00:39:03.060 sort of thing but the elected
00:39:05.900 officials not quite not quite
00:39:08.440 there you remember we pointed
00:39:10.100 this out yesterday Joe Biden
00:39:12.320 on the anniversary of D-Day very
00:39:16.300 important event to our
00:39:17.460 nation's glory wonderful day to
00:39:19.520 remember our nation's
00:39:20.500 greatness ignores it instead he
00:39:23.860 focuses on a race riot in Tulsa
00:39:25.920 a hundred years ago that nobody
00:39:27.900 remembered until very recently and
00:39:30.240 the reason they didn't remember it
00:39:31.580 is it's an unfortunate fact some
00:39:33.600 historians I'm sure remembered it
00:39:34.800 but because it was not important to
00:39:37.120 our national self-understanding the
00:39:38.380 left wants it to be the left wants
00:39:39.780 to forget D-Day as our national
00:39:41.620 identity and they want to remember
00:39:44.080 this horrible thing in Tulsa so
00:39:46.580 Jen Psaki was asked about this she
00:39:48.280 won't give an answer
00:39:48.920 presidents Bush Obama and Trump all
00:39:51.840 commemorated D-Day anniversaries on
00:39:54.520 D-Day on the D-Day anniversary why
00:39:57.160 didn't president Biden well I can tell
00:39:59.080 you that certainly the valid his
00:40:01.300 value for the role that men and the
00:40:03.500 men who served on D-Day and the
00:40:06.180 memory of them the families who have
00:40:08.220 kept their memories alive over the
00:40:11.000 course of years on this day is
00:40:12.620 something the president has spoke to
00:40:13.760 many many times in the past it's close
00:40:16.420 to his heart and I wouldn't be
00:40:18.960 surprised if there's more we would
00:40:20.360 have to say on it I wouldn't be
00:40:22.960 surprised if there's more we would
00:40:24.040 have to say later after the
00:40:25.440 anniversary and you know the
00:40:27.540 president keeps these memories of the
00:40:29.500 families and his huh what what's
00:40:31.760 that babble there's no answer the
00:40:33.200 answer is no answer no answer
00:40:35.580 whatsoever because they just want to
00:40:37.460 ignore it because they want to
00:40:39.160 reframe American history and focus on
00:40:41.320 something else speaking of Barack Obama
00:40:46.880 and Donald Trump it was an excellent
00:40:51.160 question from Peter Doocy Peter
00:40:53.620 Doocy asks Jen Psaki you know Obama
00:40:55.600 Obama and Trump very different
00:40:57.780 politicians they both recognize D-Day
00:41:00.020 but Joe Biden isn't right now and the
00:41:01.800 reason that Joe Biden wouldn't
00:41:02.980 recognize D-Day is because he wants
00:41:04.160 to move on he wants to move on to the
00:41:06.140 next progressive thing so speaking of
00:41:08.220 Obama and Trump Barack Obama was just
00:41:11.100 asked about rising anti-Semitism
00:41:13.220 right anti-Jewish attacks who do you
00:41:18.400 think he blames I'm gonna give you a
00:41:19.640 hold on I'll give you five seconds you
00:41:21.700 only one guess who do you think he
00:41:22.940 blames oh you got it you got it it's
00:41:24.700 Trump he believes that Trump fanned the
00:41:27.760 flames of anti-Semitism quote when I
00:41:30.740 gave that speech it was clear that
00:41:32.560 anti-Semitism was on the rise around
00:41:34.100 the world people's anger over
00:41:35.940 everything from immigration to
00:41:37.020 inequality was boiling over and many
00:41:39.180 of them were looking for someone else
00:41:40.500 to blame and for four years we had
00:41:42.860 president the White House who fanned
00:41:44.380 those flames you know it's my Obama's a
00:41:46.620 little weak my Obama and my Boehner
00:41:48.200 kind of bleed into one another this is
00:41:50.280 sort of slurred and emphatic I would
00:41:55.020 remind you when we're talking about the
00:41:57.580 anti-Semitism of Donald Trump there is a
00:42:01.740 town in Israel named after Donald Trump
00:42:04.280 there is a train station in Israel
00:42:06.520 named after Donald Trump Bibi Netanyahu
00:42:10.080 I think is going to erect a gigantic
00:42:14.280 statue of Donald Trump as long as he gets
00:42:16.800 to hold on to power in Israel Donald Trump
00:42:20.180 was the most pro-Jewish pro-Israel
00:42:23.040 president Donald Trump's son-in-law is a
00:42:25.500 Jew a practicing Jew Donald Trump's
00:42:29.420 daughter converted for the son son-in-law
00:42:32.460 there has never been a more pro-Israel
00:42:37.020 pro-Jewish president in American history
00:42:41.140 Barack Obama very anti-Israel president
00:42:44.660 very pro-Palestine very pro-Iran president
00:42:49.900 and he just says these things and forget
00:42:55.040 about the Israel issue for a second or
00:42:56.380 even forget about Trump this is the problem
00:43:00.200 to me the left can just say things they
00:43:04.180 can say things that we know are not true
00:43:06.360 and then when they are proven not to be
00:43:08.380 true we can call them out for it and they
00:43:10.200 will look us right in the face and they
00:43:11.580 will say don't believe your lying eyes
00:43:13.140 don't believe your lying ears and there
00:43:16.680 will be no consequence they can get away
00:43:18.600 with that because they have political
00:43:21.060 power and they know how to wield it and we
00:43:24.580 don't and so we can we can be self-righteous
00:43:27.060 till we're blue in the face we can say oh
00:43:28.680 I was right I was right well okay cool
00:43:31.940 being right and one dollar and fifty cents
00:43:35.660 will get you a cup of coffee in politics
00:43:38.040 if you do not have the power you can't do
00:43:39.840 anything about it which brings me to a
00:43:41.640 poll that just came out from Hill staffers
00:43:43.720 these are all the legislative aides all
00:43:46.420 around Capitol Hill 78 percent of senior
00:43:51.520 Capitol Hill aides believe that Republicans
00:43:54.440 will regain the house in 2022 this is up
00:43:57.800 from 12 percent in April who believe this
00:44:00.800 according to a poll from a punch bowl
00:44:02.340 news it just came out yesterday now I
00:44:07.260 guess it's likely I suppose I would say
00:44:08.940 it's likely that Republicans retake the
00:44:10.540 house but I want to ask you do you think
00:44:12.540 that the Republicans are going to retake
00:44:15.020 the house in 2022 I suspect a good number
00:44:19.200 of you are going to have the same answer I
00:44:21.220 have which is yeah I think we'll retake
00:44:23.680 the house if the elections are fair am I
00:44:26.920 allowed to say that am I allowed to make
00:44:28.820 that caveat I don't know if I am maybe
00:44:30.340 we'll see if hipster Rasputin and the
00:44:32.840 rest of the oligarchs let me say that you
00:44:35.380 know the the oligarchs who defend our
00:44:37.440 democracy which in the words of Angelo
00:44:39.820 Cotevilla means their oligarchy because
00:44:42.020 I don't even know if I'm allowed to say
00:44:43.120 that from presidents of the United States
00:44:44.640 are not allowed to say certain things shows
00:44:47.940 you about the fairness of our elections it
00:44:51.060 is indisputable that in 2022 lots and
00:44:55.460 lots and lots of election integrity laws
00:44:57.140 laws that even Barack Obama until very
00:44:59.760 recently said were essential to election
00:45:02.480 integrity were thrown out the window and
00:45:05.020 the excuse for that was the coronavirus
00:45:06.680 the coronavirus of course being the thing
00:45:11.200 that the liberal establishment has lied to
00:45:14.260 us about ceaselessly for over a year now but
00:45:18.840 that was the excuse to do it and they
00:45:20.320 changed a lot of the rules and there were
00:45:21.920 lots of irregularities and in some cases
00:45:25.100 there was the outright violation of state
00:45:26.820 constitutions like in the case of
00:45:28.920 Pennsylvania if the elections are fair I
00:45:34.020 think it's there's no question that
00:45:35.780 Republicans will take back the house this
00:45:38.200 is just what happens in the midterms when
00:45:40.540 one party wins the White House the other
00:45:43.380 party tends to win the House if the
00:45:46.320 elections are fair the House and the
00:45:49.940 Senate right now are trying desperately
00:45:51.200 the Democrats in the House and the
00:45:52.260 Senate are trying desperately to rewrite
00:45:54.080 the election laws even further and make
00:45:55.700 their changes permanent why why is that
00:45:59.020 HR1 S1 why is this the first thing that
00:46:02.460 they're trying to do not weird why that
00:46:05.300 emphasis because the virus theoretically I
00:46:08.320 guess is going to go away people are
00:46:09.420 going to get vaccinated right so you're
00:46:10.880 not going to have the excuse anymore of
00:46:13.020 the pandemic to change all the rules so
00:46:14.720 why are they now trying to make this
00:46:15.740 permanent if this is all above board and
00:46:18.860 totally squeaky clean because maybe maybe
00:46:23.500 it's not speaking of our representatives
00:46:25.320 I got some there's some good news
00:46:26.480 actually out right now Elise Stefanik who
00:46:29.500 is the new GOP caucus leader GOP
00:46:31.540 conference leader rather in the House of
00:46:32.960 Representatives announced that she's
00:46:34.360 pregnant with her first child so that's
00:46:36.560 great for her congratulations to her I'm
00:46:38.000 really glad to see this you know it's not
00:46:40.860 an earth-shaking news story but I'm glad
00:46:42.940 to see it because I like when our
00:46:43.980 leaders walk the walk there's this weird
00:46:45.780 phenomenon in Europe where heads of
00:46:47.320 state in Europe don't have any kids and
00:46:49.500 look not everyone gets to have kids and
00:46:51.020 that's a sad fact and it's very very hard
00:46:53.600 thing to go through infertility and that
00:46:54.920 sort of thing but I think a lot of them
00:46:56.280 are choosing not to have kids I think a
00:46:57.700 lot of them are deciding that they don't
00:46:59.180 want kids and it's very strange when you
00:47:00.820 would lead a country if you have no stake
00:47:02.320 in the future of that country or in the
00:47:03.880 future of that civilization so good for
00:47:05.760 Elise Stefanik also worth pointing out
00:47:08.880 some of you have have written in about
00:47:10.280 this we had a mailbag question last week
00:47:12.820 that a lot of you have written to me
00:47:14.400 there was a woman who was contemplating
00:47:16.040 abortion and a lot of you wrote in and
00:47:17.620 said that you would you're you know a
00:47:19.660 stable couple and you'd love to adopt
00:47:21.820 this child and you know here's some
00:47:25.180 resources and all this and I just think
00:47:26.580 that's that's really terrific I'm really
00:47:28.900 I think it kind of proves the point which
00:47:31.340 we keep saying like look you don't need
00:47:33.020 to choose abortion not not just for this
00:47:35.840 one woman who wrote into the show but
00:47:37.280 for women in general you don't need to
00:47:39.120 what the left tells you that you need
00:47:41.160 to do it it's going to destroy your life
00:47:43.040 if you have this baby just not true
00:47:44.620 many many more people want to adopt
00:47:46.380 babies than there are babies to be
00:47:48.340 adopted you don't need to just even
00:47:51.520 believe the statistics we've proven it on
00:47:53.160 this show so really great stuff I guess
00:47:57.580 just one more example of what the left is
00:48:00.400 telling you what the left establishment is
00:48:02.620 telling you through tech through media
00:48:04.000 through the administrative government
00:48:05.440 it's just not true makes you really
00:48:09.460 question all of the messages they're
00:48:11.400 putting out there about just about
