Ep. 792 - Hands Up, Don’t Nuke!

Summary

Pres. Biden wants to take your guns away from you because if he really wanted to take you out, he could just nuke you. This argument drives me nuts. The founding fathers could have never envisioned people having guns. Whether that person is a foreign invader or a tyrant, the point of the Second Amendment is to protect yourself, not against wild animals, but against people who want to do you harm.

00:00:00.000 President Biden wants to take your guns and his reasoning is pretty simple.
00:00:05.780 President Biden is arguing that the Second Amendment is outdated because if he really
00:00:11.220 wanted to take you out, he could just nuke you. The Second Amendment from the day it was passed
00:00:16.800 limited the type of people who could own a gun and what type of weapon you could own.
00:00:21.920 You couldn't buy a cannon. Those who say the blood of the, the blood of patriots, you know,
00:00:27.060 and all the stuff about how we're going to have to move against the government.
00:00:31.860 Well, the tree of liberty is not water in the blood of patriots. What's happened is
00:00:35.860 that there never been, if you wanted to think you need to have weapons to take on the government,
00:00:41.880 you need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons. The point is that there's always been the ability
00:00:48.220 to limit, rationally limit the type of weapon that can be owned and who can own it.
00:00:52.880 And you think of the problem and the blood and the, you think that then the, and the Jefferson
00:00:57.860 and who, huh? Huh? What were we talking about? His, his argument runs into a problem, of course,
00:01:04.480 because on the one hand, he's telling you that your AR-15 is completely powerless. And so there's
00:01:10.720 no reason for you to have it. But he's, he's saying that within the context of telling you how
00:01:16.260 your AR-15 is much too powerful and that's why he's got to take it away from you. But the government
00:01:22.140 is using much subtler weapons against all of us. It is turning the IRS against Christians.
00:01:29.580 It is turning radical ideologies against our kids. And it is ignoring the development of
00:01:35.180 bioweapons in Wuhan, China under the State Department of Hillary Clinton, new leaked email
00:01:43.000 show. You know what I have to say? Hands up, don't nuke. I'm Michael Knowles. This is the Michael
00:01:47.520 Knowles Show.
00:01:52.140 Welcome back to the show. My favorite comment yesterday is from King Loser, who says,
00:02:00.520 it's hard to win an argument with a smart person, but it is impossible to win an argument with a
00:02:06.540 stupid person. This is very, very true. I have noticed this. You want some consistency from your
00:02:12.840 people, at least, you know, broadly speaking. But when someone changes his mind, that's actually a sign
00:02:19.160 of intelligence. If he had the wrong opinion, it's good that he has the right opinion. You can never
00:02:24.140 do that with a stupid person. This is good advice to go along with what we said yesterday. Do not
00:02:29.340 wrestle with pigs. You will both get dirty and he will like it, especially in chaotic, crazy times
00:02:36.080 such as ours. It really makes you want to invest in physical gold. That's why I would recommend
00:02:40.380 checking out Acre. You know the price of gold has been all over the place. You know that fears of
00:02:46.180 inflation are getting more and more dramatic. Great time to get invested in physical gold.
00:02:52.240 But you might say, Michael, I'd love to do it. I just don't have the scratch on hand. Gold is not
00:02:57.540 exactly cheap. What if I told you you can get investing in physical gold for as low as $30 a
00:03:04.100 month? $30, Michael, that can't be. Well, it can be because the geniuses over at Acre Gold have come
00:03:09.400 up with this ingenious new product, which permits you to subscribe $30 a month when your gold stash
00:03:15.640 reaches the price of their gold bars. They will discreetly ship physical Acre Gold to your house.
00:03:21.680 I've always loved investing in precious metals. It's done me very well. And especially when you want
00:03:27.420 to hedge your investments against inflation, physical gold is a terrific way to do it. I really
00:03:31.280 enjoy being invested in Acre Gold. Head on over to getacregold.com slash Knowles. Start investing in
00:03:36.540 physical gold today. Make sure you go to that URL because Acre is giving away a gold bar. Yes, a gold
00:03:41.140 bar to qualify, tweet, or post why you should be the recipient and mention at get underscore Acre.
00:03:46.440 That is getacregold.com slash Knowles. Thank you, Acre Gold, for supporting the show. This argument
00:03:52.000 drives me nuts. This totally self-contradictory argument that the guns that we have are now way,
00:04:00.880 way too powerful and we've got to take those guns away from the people. The founding fathers could
00:04:04.660 have never envisioned people having guns this powerful and also they're completely powerless
00:04:08.480 and they would do nothing against the government so don't worry about it. The point of the Second
00:04:12.760 Amendment, of course, is to protect yourself, not just against burglars, not just against wild
00:04:18.760 animals, but against people who want to do you harm, destroy your way of life, take away your liberties
00:04:23.920 and harm you and your family. Whether that person is a foreign invader or whether that person
00:04:28.980 is a tyrannical government. That is the reason that the framers put the Second Amendment in our
00:04:35.500 Bill of Rights. The AR-15 is a common weapon. It's the most popular weapon in America and it is
00:04:42.920 a good weapon. It's an accurate weapon. When Biden says, if you want to go against the government,
00:04:49.160 you've got to have an F-15 or a nuclear weapon. What are you talking about? Afghanistan,
00:04:55.980 I think it's the size of Texas, right? It's not bigger than that. And our government has struggled
00:05:01.800 to occupy Afghanistan in a serious way for 20 years now. And we're basically going to give up
00:05:07.400 and the Taliban is going to go back in. We have a very large country. We have a very serious
00:05:13.760 citizenry. We have lots of people who want to defend our way of life. You can't have it both ways,
00:05:18.880 Mr. Biden. Speaking of violence, a much bigger story that was trending all day yesterday
00:05:26.240 is, of course, the death of John McAfee. John McAfee, the colorful software pioneer,
00:05:33.720 the guy who had the antivirus software that we all had in the 1990s and 2000s.
00:05:38.940 John McAfee shows up dead in a Spanish prison. Raises a lot of questions.
00:05:43.540 What was John McAfee doing in a Spanish prison? Why would he kill himself? And actually,
00:05:49.440 did he kill himself? John McAfee was found to have committed suicide as he was waiting
00:05:56.460 extradition to the United States, ostensibly for tax fraud. This is a little confusing because
00:06:04.100 John McAfee tweeted about seven or eight months ago, quote, I am content in here. I have friends.
00:06:09.980 The food is good. All is well. Know that if I hang myself, a la Epstein, it will be no fault of mine.
00:06:18.620 John McAfee talked about collecting files on very powerful people and on corrupt governments,
00:06:23.360 notably our own government. He talked about having a kill switch. He got a tattoo that said whacked.
00:06:29.220 He got a tattoo on his arm that said, it implied the government is trying to kill me.
00:06:35.340 McAfee said this explicitly on multiple occasions. And he said, if I get killed,
00:06:40.620 just look at the tattoo. It says that I got whacked. Then, minutes after he was discovered
00:06:46.360 to have allegedly killed himself, his last post on social media, presumably uploaded by a family
00:06:53.260 member, was the letter Q. Q. Now, you remember Q was very important to the QAnon theory that the left
00:07:01.940 talked about incessantly. For those unfamiliar, the Daily Mail says, quote, the QAnon conspiracy
00:07:08.120 theory, which came about during the presidency of Donald Trump, holds a wide range of odd beliefs,
00:07:13.860 including that Trump was secretly battling cannibalistic pedophiles who worship Satan.
00:07:20.220 So I'm trying to find the conspiracy part of that. Is there any, is that it? That's all. It seems to me
00:07:25.620 like a conspiracy theorem that seems to be just, no, I'm kidding. I'm kidding. Please don't take
00:07:30.640 me off YouTube for suggesting that the, I mean, you know, Risa Aslan, the guy at CNN, that guy was
00:07:37.840 a cannibal. And, you know, you've got like Jeffrey Epstein and some pedophiles and the Satan worship.
00:07:43.480 I mean, that's just before our, but no. Okay. So anyway, that conspiracy theory, you know,
00:07:48.200 a little bit kooky. So the last thing this guy posts is the Q. On the one hand, he lived a colorful
00:07:54.840 life. He was a bit of a troll during his life. Maybe this was just one final performance that
00:08:00.840 he was setting up everybody to say, if I kill myself, it'll be a, it'll be the government and
00:08:06.220 it'll be a conspiracy. And then he actually does kill himself and it leaves everyone wondering.
00:08:09.800 I guess that's one possibility. Or it's possible that he really meant it when he said that they're
00:08:15.860 trying to kill me. They're, I've, I've lived under very strange circumstances for many, many years at
00:08:21.040 this point. And they, then they did kill him. And he said, if I kill myself, you know, it's not,
00:08:26.260 it's not real. Some, somebody offed me. A lot of people are saying right now that the conspiracy
00:08:31.740 theory is that the man committed suicide, that so much evidence is on the side of someone offing him
00:08:39.540 that, that the craziest conclusion you could reach is that he killed himself.
00:08:43.940 I, I have one big question about the Epstein death. And first of all, the fact that we refer
00:08:51.400 to him getting Epstein, right? The fact that he referred to himself getting Epstein is evidence,
00:08:56.140 I think, that something is seriously wrong in our institutions, that we all just know that it,
00:09:01.600 that Epstein didn't kill himself. We all just know it. Or if he did kill himself, it was under very,
00:09:06.000 very strange circumstances where all the cameras just went out and oh yeah, the guards just fell
00:09:10.460 asleep. And oh yeah, the guards falsified records and yeah, oops. And, and we're all just cool with
00:09:15.580 that. We all just shrug and we say, ah, Epstein didn't kill himself. Well, the implication there,
00:09:21.460 of course, is that someone killed him. Someone went into a prison and murdered him. And we're all just
00:09:28.500 like, well, ha, ha, ha, you know, that's, that's the way the world works. That implies, oh yes, the,
00:09:34.740 the possibly billionaire pedophile ring Caribbean Island owner who was hanging out with the most
00:09:43.940 powerful people on earth who had a U a former U S president, Bill Clinton flying around on his
00:09:49.020 plane dozens of times and who was close friends with Bill Gates and close friends with the British
00:09:54.760 Royal family with Prince Andrew and close friends with lots of other super powerful people and seems
00:09:59.780 to have had connections to foreign governments. Ha ha. He just got whatever moving on. That was a fun
00:10:05.260 meme. Okay. Moving on. So the, the troubling thing for me here is beyond the death of Jeffrey Epstein and
00:10:12.600 beyond the death of John McAfee, the fact that we all just accept this sort of corruption from our
00:10:20.920 government or other governments, even, even if the guys actually killed themselves, the fact that we
00:10:28.240 just expect this kind of corruption from our governments and shrug it off, that is a troubling
00:10:34.540 thing. But there are many reasons to expect that level of corruption well beyond these two eccentric
00:10:40.780 rich guys. Speaking of dubious suicides, Hillary Clinton is back in the news. I'm not, I'm not saying,
00:10:51.060 I'm just saying check for fingerprints, notably fingerprints, like little tiny fingerprints,
00:10:58.040 maybe that look like a lady who was the first lady of Arkansas and then later the United States.
00:11:03.600 In 2009, according to leaked documents right now, Hillary Clinton, then secretary of state,
00:11:11.680 warned in a state department cable obtained by WikiLeaks that the work being done at the Wuhan
00:11:18.100 Institute of Virology could lead to quote, biological weapons proliferation concern. This is according
00:11:25.800 to reporting from our pal Jack Posobiec over at human events. Now we were told by Hillary Clinton and by
00:11:35.300 so many other members of the liberal establishment that any suggestion that the virus was not naturally
00:11:42.360 occurring, any suggestion that it came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, any institute that it came
00:11:47.820 from China period was racist and awful and bigoted. We now have evidence that Hillary Clinton knew that
00:11:53.960 this sort of thing was going on. It was sort of thing was being intentionally developed at the Wuhan Institute
00:12:00.660 all the way back in 2009. Sounds like Clinton might not have been so honest with us. You know, we want
00:12:08.640 honesty from our people. We want all this corruption to go away. We want to protect ourselves from the people
00:12:17.800 who want to harm us. One great way to protect yourself? You've got to get a Taser. When I want to protect
00:12:22.700 myself, I turn to Taser. Taser has a terrific line of non-lethal self-protection devices. They're small,
00:12:31.340 they're lightweight enough to carry with you or in your glove box or purse. They're also powerful enough
00:12:36.340 to incapacitate an attacker. I really like this device because you're not going to kill somebody and if
00:12:42.500 you accidentally, if some accident happens with yourself, it would be very difficult for that to happen, but if you
00:12:46.540 did have an accident with yourself, it wouldn't kill you. It would be non-lethal, but it is very
00:12:51.400 effective at stopping an attacker. They use an electrical charge to immobilize attackers for up
00:12:56.640 to 30 seconds, giving you time to escape and send emergency dispatch to your GPS location. They got
00:13:02.320 great, really great features, especially that emergency dispatch. Protect yourself and your family
00:13:06.640 with Taser's line of smart self-defense products. Taser's defense devices are available without a permit
00:13:14.080 in most U.S. states. This is what's really important. Places where you wouldn't be allowed
00:13:18.300 necessarily to take a firearm and a lot of places you can take a Taser. The Taser Pulse Plus or Taser
00:13:23.620 Strike Light are available at taser.com with promo code Knowles. That is T-A-S-E-R.com, promo code Knowles.

00:13:36.560 Hillary Clinton tweets out last year, quote, the president is turning to racist rhetoric to
00:13:44.140 distract from his failures to take the coronavirus seriously early on, make tests widely available,
00:13:49.680 and adequately prepare the country for a period of crisis. Don't fall for it. Don't let your friends
00:13:54.560 and family fall for it. This is because Trump was accurately and precisely referring to the China
00:14:00.220 virus, the virus that came from China. You know, like the Spanish flu or Ebola or West Nile. So he
00:14:07.040 was referring to the China virus. But whenever Trump identified the geographic location that the virus
00:14:12.780 would come from, that was considered racist and terrible. Hillary Clinton, years and years ago,
00:14:20.400 10 years prior or more, recognized that there were some troubling things going on at the Wuhan
00:14:26.360 Institute of Virology where they were studying and beefing up coronaviruses specifically for
00:14:33.220 bioweapons. And she warned about this and then nothing happened. So if Hillary Clinton is going
00:14:39.380 to knock anybody for not taking this seriously, it probably should be Hillary Clinton herself or
00:14:43.740 Barack Obama because nothing was really done. And the US federal government continued to fund and
00:14:48.680 continue to work with the Wuhan Institute of Virology up until this virus leaks. And then they cover up
00:14:54.920 for them. They help the Chinese government obscure the origins of the virus. And they continue to do
00:15:01.280 that today, even as evidence after evidence after evidence mounts that this came from the lab and
00:15:07.740 that this was engineered by human beings. Our good old friend, Dr. Fauci continues to try to obscure
00:15:13.500 the truth here. Speaking of the coronavirus though, I've got some bad news for you. Well, I've got some bad
00:15:21.940 news, but it's also news that just doesn't matter at all. Joe Biden set a July 4th date for hitting his
00:15:29.640 targets on COVID and finally putting the virus behind us. And unfortunately, according to Jeffrey Zainz, the
00:15:37.040 head of the White House coronavirus response team, because of those damn youths, because of young Americans
00:15:43.520 refusing to take the jab that they don't need to get because obviously they don't stand really any statistical
00:15:50.180 risk of coronavirus. Because of that, we are not going to meet that July 4th deadline for Americans 30
00:15:56.020 and older. We have met the president's goal of at least one shot. That's right. We have met the
00:16:01.820 president's 70 percent goal for all U.S. adults 30 and over where the country has more work to do
00:16:08.800 is particularly with 18 to 26 year olds. The reality is many younger Americans have felt like COVID-19 is
00:16:17.760 not something that impacts them and they've been less eager to get the shot. However, with the Delta
00:16:24.420 variant now spreading across the country and infecting younger people worldwide, it's more important than
00:16:31.200 ever that they get vaccinated. Can you believe those, you know, those young people who have
00:16:38.860 statistically zero risk from this virus? Can you believe that those young people don't want to get
00:16:46.320 an experimental drug that you're not ever allowed to question, even as cases and cases mount of adverse
00:16:53.580 reactions to the vaccine? Isn't that so, isn't that so strange that young people who just,
00:16:58.740 it's a matter of prudence, don't need this thing, don't want to get it? It's, it's awful. It's
00:17:04.540 terrible because of the Delta variant. That's the Indian variant, but we're not allowed to call it the
00:17:08.860 Indian variant anymore. The World Health Organization said that to simplify things, we're no longer going
00:17:13.560 to call the virus and the variants by the places that they come from. We're going to simplify it by,
00:17:18.700 by using Greek letters. You know, those Greek letters that everyone is so familiar with. So this is
00:17:23.740 really some terrible news coming out of the White House. We're not going to reach the July 4th
00:17:27.540 deadline. And my, my big sophisticated take on this is, okay, whatever. Who cares? I, I certainly
00:17:35.340 don't care. No one cares even. I never cared. I was never paying attention to these stupid rules
00:17:41.960 any more than I had to, any more than the society forced me to pay attention to these dumb rules from
00:17:49.200 people like Fauci and the liberal establishment that were changing their minds and changing their
00:17:53.520 guidance every single day, often contradicting themselves. Other than when the society absolutely
00:17:58.680 forced me to, I just ignored it. I was basically French kissing people on the street as a way to
00:18:02.600 say hello. I was basically licking doorknobs from the beginning of this epidemic. Feel great. Never
00:18:08.240 felt better. Knock on wood. You know, of course people, people can get sick, but I'm, I'm willing to
00:18:13.960 take the risk. I'm willing to make a prudential judgment to go about and live my life. I assume a lot of
00:18:18.300 people are doing that too. It's going to be very difficult right now for the Biden administration
00:18:22.060 to say, do not go out, do not celebrate the 4th of July after just, after encouraging people to go,
00:18:30.300 you know, celebrate pride month to, to finally, you know, go out. You don't need to wear the mask
00:18:34.800 all the time. Now, after saying that things are getting better, after saying that the vaccine is so
00:18:39.260 effective for people who've already gotten it after inventing a new holiday, they just invented a new
00:18:44.460 holiday last week that people were supposed to go celebrate, but now they're going to try to tell
00:18:48.540 us, but you can't, you can't go out on the 4th of July. Uh, okay. I'm not terribly concerned about
00:18:53.760 that. I intend to eat hot dogs and drink beer, look at fireworks if there are any, and go ahead and live
00:18:58.860 my life. And I would encourage you to do that as well. Now the kids are not all right, not because
00:19:06.100 they don't want to get this experimental drug that doesn't stand to improve their health really in any
00:19:10.560 way. The kids are not all right because they just don't want to celebrate the 4th of July.
00:19:17.480 This, according to at least one survey, a new survey out of North Dakota State University discovered
00:19:23.020 that the majority of liberal minded college students are not proud to be an American,
00:19:29.620 where at least they know they're free. The survey was released by NDSU's Challey Institute for Global
00:19:36.060 Innovation and Growth, focused on the role that colleges are playing in promoting free speech.
00:19:40.560 And tolerance of diverse views. 57% of liberal students said that they are not proud to be
00:19:47.720 Americans, while 73% of conservative students said that they are. The majority of quote, independent
00:19:54.640 and apolitical students, 59%, said that they are also proud to be Americans. This is a noteworthy
00:20:02.620 survey. In a way, it doesn't tell us anything we don't know. We know that the left does not
00:20:08.400 particularly care for this country. Why do we know that? Because they don't stand for the Star
00:20:14.160 Spangled Banner, because they don't speak particularly highly of this country. They do promote
00:20:20.180 ahistorical, anti-factual nonsense like the 1619 Project, for instance. They're tearing down statues
00:20:26.740 of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson, and they're putting up new flags and new
00:20:33.100 statues in their place. So yes, this is not surprising at all. Not surprising that conservatives
00:20:38.900 do like their country. If they didn't like their country and they didn't want to conserve something,
00:20:42.420 they probably wouldn't be conservatives. But the key here, I think, are the independent and the
00:20:47.000 apolitical students. A clear majority of them are proud to be Americans. This is something I get to
00:20:54.680 in my new book, which is available as of the past couple of days to order, Speechless Controlling
00:20:59.360 Words, Controlling Minds. Radicals can only force a revolution if they have some hold on the common
00:21:08.100 sense. Otherwise, they're just kooks and the rest of us are going to laugh at them. The common sense
00:21:15.100 tells people that they still basically like their country. It's very strange because the left controls
00:21:21.680 all the levers of power. They have all of the institutions now. They have the elected government,
00:21:27.460 and they have it entirely, right? They have the House of Representatives. They have the Senate.
00:21:32.720 They have the presidency. The Supreme Court is allegedly conservative, but it doesn't really
00:21:38.000 operate that way. They have the bureaucracy. Obviously, they have the media and the universities,
00:21:43.760 and now they even have the military. We'll get to that in just a second. So they control everything
00:21:49.400 as a matter of the levers of power. And yet, they can't get the people to go along with their really
00:21:56.900 radical ideas. They can't get the people to give up their guns no matter how hard Biden tries.
00:22:01.140 They can't get people to trans the kids no matter how hard they try. They can't get people to go
00:22:07.160 along with critical race theory, for instance. You've got parents showing up to school board meetings.
00:22:12.080 It's some of the greatest hope right now in the country is ordinary parents are showing up to
00:22:15.940 meetings saying, hey, whatever this nonsense is you're teaching my kids, cut it out. And then
00:22:20.240 the elites are actually sneering at them. They're saying, well, you don't even know what critical
00:22:23.060 race theory is. Ha ha, you stupid, irredeemable, deplorable rube. And that's further alienating the
00:22:28.520 common people from the desiccated mediocrities that claim to be the ruling class. So that is very,
00:22:36.400 very good news. That alienation, I think, is going to increase. And I think people are going to dig
00:22:43.080 their heels in on defending their way of life. It's not just about the conservatives versus the
00:22:46.940 lives, but it's crucially about those independents and those moderates. You know, obviously right now,
00:22:53.520 I am not in my studio, for those of you who are watching. I am on the road. I was hanging out with
00:22:58.940 my friend Tim Poole last night and the rest of the gang over there, Lydia and Ian. You can check
00:23:03.580 out that episode we were talking about, among other things, my book, Speechless. Thank you to everyone
00:23:07.860 who has ordered that book already. You know, there it is. There's that bell. I was wondering
00:23:12.220 if we had one in this hotel room. You can get Speechless right now. It's really jumped up the
00:23:17.060 charts. It has cracked the top 100 on all of Amazon. It has cracked the top 50 on all of Amazon.
00:23:23.500 And most of the top books are actually cookbooks and children's books. So in terms of real books,
00:23:27.100 I think it's pretty high up there. Thank you to everyone who has ordered it. You can, I believe,
00:23:31.720 still get a signed first edition. I'm actually not sure. Those are at Premier Collectibles. If not,
00:23:35.580 you can get the book at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, wherever books are sold. I really want to jab
00:23:40.320 it in the eye of the libs who put together the bestseller list. So thank you for helping me.
00:23:45.980 Thank you for indulging me on that. We're going to be talking about censorship tonight. We're going
00:23:50.080 to be talking about what the left is censoring, notably in things in the news like the lab leak
00:23:55.700 hypothesis. We're going to be talking about the way that our words have been totally transformed
00:23:59.920 through things like the woke army ads. We're going to be talking about everything on backstage.
00:24:05.200 So head on over. You get me, Ben, Drew, Matt, Jeremy, the God King Boring, everybody over on
00:24:11.060 backstage. Streams at 7 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Central at dailywire.com and on our YouTube channel.
00:24:15.980 Do not miss it. We'll be right back.
00:24:17.740 AOC has something nice to say about white men and Republicans. Those are two groups that she
00:24:38.760 conflates. She thinks they're identical, but it's very rare that AOC would have anything nice to say
00:24:42.740 about either of those groups. And it's a little bit of a backhanded compliment, but it's all because
00:24:48.880 Republicans caved on our most sacred national feast day. The high point of the liturgical year,
00:24:58.320 that wonderful holiday that's totally a real thing and not just completely made up by the libs,
00:25:03.260 June 10th.
00:25:05.560 This is pretty consistent with, I think, the Republican base. And it's whether it's trying
00:25:11.620 to fight against teaching basic history around racism and the role of racism in U.S. history to,
00:25:20.560 you know, there's a direct through line from that to denying Juneteenth, the day that is widely
00:25:27.200 recognized and celebrated as the symbolic kind of day to represent the end of slavery in the United
00:25:33.340 States. You know, there's a direct through line between that denial of our history and wanting to
00:25:38.820 understand the full scope of our history and celebrating the end, a major end of injustice
00:25:44.680 in the United States. And I think it's a shame, but there's also plenty of wonderful allies that
00:25:52.680 helped us pass this vote today despite that. And so I'm very thankful to all of our colleagues,
00:25:59.640 including the white men in the Republican caucus that said, OK, fine, we'll vote for this
00:26:04.620 on this one, too. But I think it just goes to show the importance of teaching our history,
00:26:10.500 warts and all, because it helps us appreciate the justice and freedoms that we have today.
00:26:16.360 Isn't it so great that now finally we're starting to learn about slavery?
00:26:20.860 Wait, I had never heard about. Did you know? Apparently in the United States for some period
00:26:25.340 of time, actually a relatively short period of time compared to the rest of the world,
00:26:29.060 including the many places today outside the West that still have slavery.
00:26:32.800 Did you know we had slavery in America? You probably didn't know that until Juneteenth,
00:26:38.660 until we finally stopped denying Juneteenth. You know that thing that I can guarantee you AOC
00:26:46.520 had never heard of until like four years ago. But now we can't deny. We kept denying it for so long,
00:26:55.420 but now we know about Juneteenth. What they are doing is, as I predicted, making Juneteenth into the
00:27:05.180 critical race theory holiday. They're making Juneteenth into the radical progressive holiday.
00:27:09.940 They're saying that if you celebrate Juneteenth, you then must, it is a logical necessity,
00:27:17.840 accept insane ideologies like critical race theory into the schools. You must accept the
00:27:22.480 reframing of American history by the 1619 Project that puts slavery at the heart of the American
00:27:27.680 narrative. You must accept these things. And by the way, critical race theory, according to these
00:27:32.760 guys, is no more than teaching about some of the warts in American history, the warts and all.
00:27:40.260 The problem with critical race theory is not that it exposes America's true history warts and all.
00:27:45.860 It's that it perverts and lies about American history to only present the warts. Critical race theory
00:27:52.240 says, it posits, that America is intrinsically evil, that everything about America is evil. If you want
00:28:00.560 to read up on this, you can either read, there's a seminal text, I think it's just called critical
00:28:06.600 race theory. It's a collection of essays by people like Kimberly Crenshaw and other pseudo-intellectuals
00:28:11.660 who put this idea together. It's a derivation, obviously, of broader intellectual movements,
00:28:16.100 such as critical theory. But if you want to understand it, you know, and just get the highlights,
00:28:21.340 you can read my current book, book that is now out, Speechless, Controlling Words, Controlling Minds.
00:28:25.700 But this theory posits, there's one seminal essay, the name of the author now escapes me,
00:28:31.800 but you can read it in that collection of essays, that says that forget about just the races and
00:28:36.480 forget about, you know, white supremacy for a second and just focus on the economics.
00:28:42.000 Private property itself in the American tradition is intrinsically white supremacist, bigoted, evil,
00:28:49.040 terrible, terrible, must be done away with. This is a movement by avowed Marxists, usually,
00:28:56.500 to upend the entire American system, the entire Western system, the entire system of private
00:29:02.180 property. And that is what she is getting at there. And she says, well, thank you. Thank you to those
00:29:08.200 white men in the Republican Party who are finally doing that. I do wish that those white men in the
00:29:15.820 Republican Party who went along with this thing had paid attention to the white men and black men and
00:29:21.840 women and Asians and Hispanics and smart people of all stripes who are conservative, who recognize the
00:29:29.200 danger of this sort of thing. Speaking of Republicans, the IRS, you'll be shocked to hear, is targeting
00:29:37.320 conservatives. I know they've been doing this more and more since Barack Obama weaponized his IRS to go
00:29:45.680 after the Tea Party specifically, to go after his political opponents. And actually, under Obama,
00:29:51.020 the IRS went after an organization that I was a member of called the Friends of Abe. This was a group
00:29:55.260 of Hollywood conservatives. The Obama IRS kept trying to get the book of membership. It was a
00:30:02.020 tightly held secret because people would be blacklisted very often. They just wouldn't work
00:30:06.400 in show business if it came out that one was a Republican. And fortunately, we never gave the book
00:30:13.620 on over to the IRS. Well, the IRS now is going after a Christian group because the IRS is holding that the
00:30:22.720 Christian group is promoting the Bible and the Bible is a Republican Party document. I'm not joking. I'm not
00:30:31.660 joking. On May 18th, the exempt organizations director over at the IRS, Stephen Martin, denied the
00:30:39.620 application for tax exemption by a group called Christians Engaged because, Martin said, Christians
00:30:48.700 engaged in prohibited political campaign intervention and operated for a substantial non-exempt private
00:30:56.180 purpose and for the private interests of the Republican Party. Okay, well, how is that? Well, because
00:31:01.900 Christians Engaged said that they're going to promote biblical teaching and they're going to do that
00:31:06.740 in the public square and, quote, Bible teachings, he lowercased Bible, by the way, he said, Bible
00:31:14.460 teachings are affiliated with the Republican Party and candidates. This disqualifies Christians
00:31:20.940 engaged from exemption under IRC section 501c3. Now, I'm going to go back to what the Daily Mail said
00:31:28.380 earlier. We'll get back to John McAfee posting the letter Q. QAnon conspiracy theory is this idea that
00:31:33.440 that Trump was fighting against Satanists? Well, it would appear that the IRS under the Biden
00:31:40.520 administration is admitting that. They're saying that if you support biblical teaching, if you support
00:31:46.020 Christianity, then you are identifying yourself as a Republican. Now, maybe to be fair to the IRS,
00:31:56.600 maybe they're saying, look, if you promote overt Satan worship, that also would not get you a tax
00:32:02.040 exemption because that would be a Democratic Party activity. We're not going to allow either of those
00:32:06.440 things, Bible teaching or Satan worship to receive a tax exemption, but probably not, actually. Probably
00:32:12.200 that's not what they would say. It's an amazing, I won't even say it's a tacit acknowledgement
00:32:16.440 that Christianity has a political dimension that these days involves opposing the radical left and
00:32:24.160 its avatar, the Democratic Party. It's not tacit. It's explicit now. Read it up on the IRS's website.
00:32:30.580 They're not just going after Protestants, by the way. The federal government, the elected officials
00:32:34.780 are saying that if the Catholic Church withholds the Eucharist from Joe Biden,
00:32:42.180 because Joe Biden is in a state of unrepentant grave mortal sin, and he's also committing the
00:32:46.860 sin of scandal as the second nominally Catholic president who is now coming out and saying that
00:32:53.540 he will continue to affirm the constitutional fictional right to abortion. He'll continue
00:33:00.480 to flout church teaching on a very important issue. If the church protects the Eucharist against
00:33:05.880 Joe Biden and his scandal, they could lose their tax exemption. Representative Jared Huffman says,
00:33:12.240 if they're going to politically weaponize religion by rebuking Democrats who support women's reproductive
00:33:17.420 choice, then a rebuke of their tax-exempt status may be in order. I'm glad that Huffman came out and
00:33:23.220 said this. The threat against the Catholic Church is disgusting. The threat against Christians,
00:33:30.120 broadly speaking, is absolutely disgusting. But it's been going on for a long time and I'm glad
00:33:34.540 they're finally admitting it. We do not have freedom of religion in this country. We are losing our
00:33:40.840 freedom to practice religion every single day. We're losing it even in the language that we use.
00:33:45.820 Barack Obama did this very adeptly. He changed the popular phrase from freedom of religion
00:33:52.640 to freedom to worship. And it sounds like it's a subtle shift. I guess it is subtle, but it's
00:33:58.900 significant. Religion is something that affects your whole life. You do religion. Religion is not a
00:34:06.440 private affair. Religion is something you do in public with people, not just at church on Sundays,
00:34:12.840 but every single day of the week. You have a private spiritual life when you say your prayers
00:34:18.500 at night or you go into your inner closet to pray, but you also live your faith publicly.
00:34:25.880 And what the left says is, no, you have the freedom maybe to go to church on Sunday, maybe,
00:34:32.680 but actually during the epidemic, we're going to shut those down. But look, you still have the
00:34:35.680 freedom to close your eyes and pray quietly in your own head as long as it doesn't affect anybody.
00:34:39.200 And you're not allowed to continue to practice your faith when you, for instance, run your cake
00:34:45.020 shop. You're not allowed to continue to practice your faith when you go to your place of employment
00:34:49.600 or when you take up a role in the government. But now that Joe Biden is, because he's so clearly
00:35:00.780 violating his own faith, the bishops have to decide, are we going to permit Joe Biden to
00:35:09.640 scandalously flout the faith here and eat what we hold to be the literal body of our Lord while he
00:35:18.000 is in a state of unworthiness and unrepentant mortal sin? Or are we going to stand up and defend it?
00:35:24.060 Well, if you defend it, folks, we're coming after you because we have a state-established church in
00:35:28.120 this country. It is the state-established church of secular progressivism. It has its own liturgical
00:35:34.140 calendar. It's got its own secular saints. It's got its own feast days. There's a new feast day
00:35:37.880 called Juneteenth. There's a liturgical month. It's called Pride Month. We're celebrating it right now.
00:35:42.520 And by the way, this will have public demands. This will have an actual caste system, which we're
00:35:49.560 seeing increasingly with the development of critical race theory, with the castigation of white
00:35:54.560 men as the bane of all evil on earth. You know, AOC so magnanimously is willing to acknowledge,
00:36:02.300 okay, maybe white men occasionally do something that's okay, but really, I mean, we should expect
00:36:07.820 pure evil from them. Well, at a Seattle LGBT Pride Month called Taking Black Pride, Taking B,
00:36:16.400 in parentheses L, A-C-K, Pride. If you're white, you have to pay more money. They're charging
00:36:24.380 a reparations fee, they say $10 to $50, to keep the event free of cost for black and brown trans and
00:36:34.740 queer people. That's pretty narrow. How many black and brown trans and queer people are there?
00:36:41.660 Two Capitol Hill Pride organizers complained, and the Seattle Human Rights Commission blasted,
00:36:47.460 what, the Human Rights Commission? What is that? Blasted them on social media for complaining about
00:36:52.760 charging white people more money than black people and included their unredacted phone number and
00:36:57.520 came out. The Human Rights Commission decided to dox people and put them in harm's way.
00:37:04.560 They got knocked for doing this now. You're going to see this more and more. You are openly seeing
00:37:08.600 the talk of, quote unquote, reparations, which is not, it's not really reparations. First of all,
00:37:13.320 we've already had reparations in this country for a very long time. That was the entire purpose
00:37:17.060 of the Great Society and the welfare programs was to make reparation for slavery a century prior.
00:37:24.800 But it's not really reparations, and this wouldn't be reparations either, because that wouldn't be the
00:37:28.980 end. You're telling me that, okay, we're going to have a big reparations fund, and we're going to give
00:37:33.680 all the black people some money, and we're probably going to give other races some money. Why? I don't
00:37:38.200 know, but that's being talked about. And we're going to give recent Nigerian immigrants some money
00:37:42.040 from who? From just white people? How are you going to do that in the tax code? I'm not sure.
00:37:45.500 And okay, let's say you do it, and then we're all good, right? Then it's totally fine.
00:37:50.160 Something tells me that's not what's going to happen.
00:37:51.900 This is not just being enforced. This racial caste system, this highly racial ideology is not just
00:38:00.520 being enforced at the local level of some kooky pride parades or something. This is being enforced
00:38:09.280 by the government. That's what affirmative action is. It disadvantages whites and Asians,
00:38:12.540 and it gives advantage to blacks and Hispanics in college admissions and elsewhere. It's also at
00:38:18.060 the cultural level. There's a new movie coming out. It looks really bad. I don't want to judge a movie
00:38:22.780 by its trailer, because I haven't obviously seen the movie yet. And the movie, well, take a listen.
00:38:29.760 I'll take a, I don't want to color your view. Take, is that a politically incorrect term? Am I allowed
00:38:34.480 to use that word anymore? Take a listen to the movie, Karen. Tell me about your new neighbors.
00:38:41.700 They're black. Do you mind keeping it down? If you don't comply, I'll tell the manager.
00:38:48.060 Somebody's taking home security serious. Hi, I am Karen Drexler. I'm your neighbor.
00:38:54.960 You need to be taking your trash cans off the curb right when the trash is picked up.
00:38:59.680 Is she nice? Yeah, she's nice. Wait a minute. We have a white,
00:39:04.280 entitled neighbor named Karen. Karen. Okay, enjoy yourself. There she is slaving away in the kitchen.
00:39:11.720 I've come across some very suspecting teenagers. Suspecting? Can you please hurry up? Please,
00:39:20.840 they're very aggressive. Yep. I left my wallet with my ID at home. Leave us alone. We didn't do
00:39:26.540 anything. How the heck did you end up moving to this neighborhood? Next thing you know,
00:39:31.620 we have criminals. You take care of him, and I will take care of her. Would you mind stepping out
00:39:36.940 of the car? My office has uncovered some disturbing information on her and her brother.
00:39:44.360 She doesn't like black people. We have a search warrant. Well, I'm black. I know. She doesn't like you
00:39:52.760 either. Karen. This doesn't look great. People are comparing this movie to Get Out. The difference,
00:40:05.540 of course, is Get Out is a good movie, and this movie does not look very good. Get Out is actually
00:40:11.860 about this issue of assimilation and this fear that when you assimilate into a culture, you lose your
00:40:16.140 soul, which is an interesting concept, and I thought it was a clever movie. This doesn't look like that.
00:40:21.000 This movie uses a racial slur, which is Karen. Some people are laughing at the idea that Karen is a
00:40:27.220 racial slur. It's explicitly just a derogatory term for white women. I've used some slurs just the
00:40:39.240 other day. Actually, in my book, I use a slur for Italian-Americans, not because I'm yelling it,
00:40:45.600 but just in the context of describing it. I use one for the Irish. I use one for Asians. I use a few.
00:40:51.320 I use them to point out what these slurs are. Karen is a racial slur. There's no getting around
00:40:57.380 it. It's a mainstream one. It's one that we're all—you're not really allowed to say the other
00:41:01.560 slurs, and there's one slur, obviously, you can never say. They would never make a movie with that
00:41:05.580 name, but the argument here is just preposterous. I think the reason that Get Out rang true to people
00:41:14.800 is because it's a legitimate fear. It is not just black people into a broader white culture,
00:41:21.660 but any group of people into any broader culture, there is a legitimate fear of assimilation.
00:41:28.820 Here, the claim being made is that white women are committing racist hate crimes against black
00:41:37.040 people, that that's the defining epidemic of our country, and it's just not true. It just isn't
00:41:43.340 happening. We talked about this a few weeks ago on the show. When you look at the federal government's
00:41:47.900 hate crime statistics, you can look at the racial breakdown of the offenders and of the general
00:41:54.680 population. 52.5% of hate crime perpetrators are white, and that includes Hispanics because Hispanics
00:42:06.160 have now been defined as white. So just very slightly over half of the offenders in hate crimes are
00:42:12.880 white. 73% of Americans broadly, including Hispanics who are now defined as white, are white. So
00:42:21.160 relative to their percentage of the population, whites and Hispanics are very, very unlikely,
00:42:28.380 significantly less likely to be committing these hate crimes. If you look at the percentage of hate
00:42:33.880 crimes committed by black people, that percentage is 23.9%. If you look at the percentage of the
00:42:40.100 population total that is black, it's 13.4%. So I'm not making any claim that it's because of an intrinsic
00:42:47.860 biological reason or something that whites and Hispanics are relatively less likely to commit hate
00:42:52.880 crimes and black people are relatively more likely to commit hate crimes. I'm just telling you what the
00:42:56.580 federal statistics are. I'm not saying we should make a movie with some black racial slur about the way that
00:43:03.740 hate crimes are really perpetrated in this country. I'm not even saying the term hate crime, it should
00:43:09.340 be a common term. I think it's a ridiculous term because I don't think there are very many love
00:43:14.580 crimes. I guess that would be the opposite of a hate crime. I'm just pointing out the reason that
00:43:21.240 the trailer for Karen is risible, the reason that we're all making fun of it, is because while the
00:43:27.760 ruling elites and the liberal establishment tell us that the great problem is white supremacy,
00:43:32.240 or LeBron James is telling us black men can't leave their homes without being hunted down by racist
00:43:38.280 whites, we just all know it's not true. It's the furthest thing from the truth. When Merrick Garland,
00:43:44.400 the attorney general, comes out and says, the greatest threat to us in America, the terroristic threat is
00:43:50.220 white supremacy, we just know that's ridiculous. It's just absolutely, absolutely preposterous. It is not
00:43:58.000 true. And if you want to solve problems of racial division, if you want to solve problems of crime,
00:44:03.500 which is spiking in cities around the country, you need to be able to diagnose what is really going
00:44:09.440 on, right? The first step to solving a problem is admitting that you have a problem. And our culture
00:44:14.420 will not do that. I think this is actually part and parcel of this broader alienation of common sense
00:44:21.840 Americans of all races, of all stripes, of all appearances, from the group of silly mediocrities
00:44:30.500 that are pretending to be the ruling class. And I suppose they really are the ruling class in this
