Conservatives want to ban transgender athletes from girls' sports. Their evidence is shaky. What do you think about that? Is there any truth in it? Is it a good or bad thing? And why should you care?
00:01:40.700Well, you can start investing in physical gold because Acre has figured out this ingenious way to start investing in physical precious metals without coming out of pocket all at once.
00:01:51.220They've got their $30 a month subscription where you pay your $30 a month when your gold stash reaches the price of their gold bars.
00:01:58.180They will discreetly ship Acre Gold to your door.
00:02:01.100They also have a $100 a month subscription to a 5 gram gold bar.
00:02:04.760They keep you updated every month on where your gold stash is, and then they'll send it to you.
00:02:43.360I can't believe they wrote this much about this obvious topic.
00:02:46.540Their evidence, they say, is that, you know, some of the men who, but when we say transgender people, by the way, we mean men who are pretending to be women.
00:02:55.320Some of the men, you know, actually don't necessarily have this perfect advantage because of this level of hormones.
00:03:02.260I mean, just as a practical matter, they almost always win the sports.
00:03:05.120But, you know, but actually the testosterone level is this.
00:03:08.900And because of that, that's not our evidence.
00:03:13.800The reason that men should not compete in girls' sports is not because they have an extra bit of testosterone or their shoulders are broader or their hips are narrower or they're taller or they're faster.
00:03:24.740The reason, the most basic reason, is that they're not girls.
00:03:29.660And girls' sports, by definition, are for girls.
00:03:32.520So if you're not a girl, you shouldn't compete.
00:03:35.100You don't need to take any measurements.
00:04:16.240I don't need advanced degrees to know that.
00:04:18.240Only a scientist, only an intellectual could possibly think that that's a confusing or complicated question.
00:04:23.980But science, because it has been made into this idol by the left, it has to fulfill all the roles of philosophy, of religion, of the longings of the human heart.
00:04:33.620And so it gets perverted all the time.
00:04:35.140The Department of Energy right now, under Joe Biden, the Department of Energy makes certain grants, right?
00:04:42.440So this is from the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.
00:04:46.000They're making different funding grants.
00:04:50.140They are encouraging racial minorities, women, and veterans to become the prime applicants or a proposed partner to the prime applicant.
00:04:59.820What that means is the selection official may consider the inclusion of these types of entities as part of the selection.
00:05:06.160All of that is bureaucratic gobbledygook to say that this ostensibly scientific endeavor is going to prioritize black people and Hispanics and maybe Asians, but probably not.
00:05:18.760And it's going to disadvantage white people.
00:05:20.880But I thought this was a scientific process.
00:05:22.740I thought we were just only after the truth.
00:05:24.540I thought only the best scientists would win.
00:05:26.760Why are we now saying that it's more important that you have, let's say, you've got all things being equal, a white scientist and a black scientist.
00:05:37.240It's going to have to go to the black scientist.
00:05:39.320Even further, let's say all things being equal, you've got a, or let's say all things not being equal, you've got a black scientist who is performing at a lower rate, and you've got a white scientist performing at a higher rate.
00:05:49.140You'll still, in some cases, give the grant to the black scientist because of this racial ideology.
00:05:58.880You're making a moral argument that it's better to reward black people than white people, even if the black people are not performing as well.
00:06:10.340But there's nothing scientific about it.
00:06:12.700We're just using that word science to mean everything.
00:06:15.240In the same way that now we refer to white supremacy as just a synonym for sin, you know, every bad thing that's ever happened is because of white supremacy now because we just don't understand how to think about philosophy or religion or morality.
00:06:27.920It's the same thing here now in science.
00:06:30.480Everything good and true and beautiful in the world is just science because it's a substitute for God because the left makes an idol out of it.
00:06:38.000But this is not particularly scientific.
00:06:39.420There's a marine science conference right now called the POC CSEA 2021 conference.
00:06:47.300It's a virtual conference for the marine science BIPOC community.
00:06:51.660BIPOC is the new term for black people, and they include indigenous in there too, which means Indians.
00:06:58.860So they're going to let the BIPOC in for free, and they're going to charge white scientists $10 to show up as an ally.
00:07:08.420So obviously the point here is not scientific inquiry.
00:07:12.260The point here is not to discover truth.
00:07:13.620The point is to create a racial caste system, to treat white people as a sort of second-class citizen, certainly in the scientific endeavor, and to treat BIPOC, whatever that is, you know,
00:07:26.320to treat BIPOC as a first-class citizen within the scientific endeavor.
00:07:45.440Well, obviously people ignoring some warning signs, not doing some work on the building itself, not doing upkeep and maintenance.
00:07:51.000Or, says President Biden, not even just one of his lackeys, but President Biden himself, it was probably caused by climate change.
00:08:00.860We don't have any firm proof of what's happened.
00:08:06.100There's all kinds of rational speculation about whether or not the rebars were rusted.
00:08:14.960And interesting to me, I didn't raise it, but how many of the survivors and how many of the families talked about the impact of global warming?
00:08:25.620How much it, and they'd know exactly, but they talked about sea levels rising and about how there were, and the combination of that and the concern about incoming storms, incoming tropical storms.
00:08:41.260Global warming, which is also, by the way, an unscientific theory.
00:08:46.580Unscientific in the sense that it can't be disproven.
00:08:50.280The temperature goes up, it's global warming.
00:09:26.020This is why, I think, people do not trust the scientists.
00:09:31.940Because the scientists do not really understand what science is.
00:09:35.160They don't, the people, scientists and the people who are popularizing science, they don't understand even what arguments we're making, whether it's on transgender sports or infrastructure, which is what's going on in this building collapse, or the pursuit of science itself.
00:09:48.660This is why, by the way, a lot of people are hesitant to get the vaccine.
00:09:52.880You know, I really don't want to get the stupid thing.
00:09:55.120I'm probably going to because my best friend is having a wedding overseas.
00:09:59.220So I'm going, I probably have to do it, you know, and I, because I love my friend, I'm willing to do it.
00:10:03.960But I, otherwise, I would be hesitant to do it because I'm not at, I'm a young person, and I'm, I'm noticing I'm not at risk, right?
00:10:11.900I'm at very, very low risk from it, so I'm making a prudential judgment.
00:10:15.060And I know that the scientists have been lying to me from the beginning.
00:10:20.120And the people who are reporting on the science have been either lying outright or misunderstanding what the science is.
00:10:29.040We've made an idol out of this thing, and we're using it to justify all sorts of ideological nonsense, whether it's redefining the sexes, whether it's creating a racial caste system, or whether it's upending the political order in the economy on climate change, because we're blaming every tragedy in the world on that.
00:10:46.980When you want to tune in, I would recommend checking out The Jordan Harbinger Show.
00:10:50.640I know every day somebody tells you that you just have to listen to some new podcast, and you say, oh yeah, sure, maybe, and then you don't listen to it.
00:11:04.640The woke mob really came after him for this.
00:11:07.400He said that he's been getting attacked just for doing the interview.
00:11:10.760Each episode is a conversation with a different fascinating guest.
00:11:13.620In one episode, Jordan talks to a hostage negotiator from the FBI who offers techniques on how to get people to like and trust you, which sounds pretty useful and disturbing at the same time.
00:11:23.900But they know how to do it, and you can hear about it, too.
00:11:26.080Lots of science, some pretty crazy stories from spies, mafia enforcers, art forgers.
00:11:39.500Go check out jordanharbinger.com slash start for some episode recommendations, or you can search for The Jordan Harbinger Show.
00:11:46.520H-A-R-B as in boy, I-N as in Nancy, G-E-R on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
00:11:55.000A topic that I keep coming back to when I think about how we're so misunderstanding America, we're so misunderstanding science, we're so misunderstanding, we just don't, we don't even know what we don't know.
00:12:05.560Yesterday on the show, we talked about Don Rumsfeld, the known knowns, the known unknowns, and the unknown unknowns, and even the known unknowns.
00:12:14.440It's very, very confusing, you understand.
00:12:15.920But we can't even make sense of those things because our standards have fallen, and no one possesses really a liberal education anymore, a proper education to know about our culture, to make sense of our own freedom, and to liberate ourselves from our basest passions and our ignorance.
00:12:52.300Too often, you hear conservatives prattling on about the free marketplace of ideas in a fifth-grade classroom or how we shouldn't, you know, we shouldn't indoctrinate.
00:13:01.140We need to educate, and we need to expand the curriculum and include everything.
00:18:48.660And now she is accepting a spot on Nancy Pelosi's select committee to investigate January 6th, the gravest, most horrific attack in, frankly, in our nation's history.
00:19:20.080They are actually, it's so offensive that they're comparing the guy in the horn hat or the other guy taking Pelosi's lectern to September 11th or Pearl Harbor.
00:19:33.980That's why they're, by the way, that's why they're calling it January 6th is to make it seem like September 11th, even though the two events are completely incomparable.
00:19:43.020So Kevin McCarthy, who's the House minority leader, he issued a threat.
00:19:47.800And he said that he would strip any Republican member of their committee assignments if they accept an offer from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to serve on this committee.
00:19:56.220So you've got a couple people, you've got Cheney and you've got Kinzinger, who's this other total squish, who said, well, that's fine, I don't care.
00:20:19.920It doesn't matter if when the tough political issues come up, the actual fights for practical power, not your view on an issue in the abstract, not your own ideological musings in your dorm room, but actually when it comes down to practical, who's got the political power here?
00:20:36.660If you're now always siding with the Democrats, that makes you worse than a Democrat because you're a traitor to your party and to your constituents.
00:21:12.540I've only, I've only ever heard that guy's name in the context of criticizing Republicans and conservatives.
00:21:18.380This reminds me that Trump, for all his flaws, has been much, much better for the Republican Party than Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, where, you know, is the future MSNBC contributor, or any of these other jokers.
00:21:35.400And actually some polls bear this out.
00:21:37.220We now know, according to Pew Research, President Trump boosted his support among Hispanics in the 2020 election.
00:41:36.440And nobody denies that this guy existed.
00:41:38.460And then sometime later, Muhammad develops Islam.
00:41:42.200Muslims believe as a revealed religion.
00:41:44.340Christians believe as a Christian heresy.
00:41:47.020And you can see the many ways in which it has similarities to other Christian heresies,
00:41:52.020notably denying the divinity of Christ, though admiring him in some ways.
00:41:57.100In its belief in the total transcendence of God, of Allah, that God is pure will.
00:42:03.420Christianity believes that God is logos.
00:42:05.420God is the divine logic of the universe.
00:42:07.180In Islam, they believe that Allah is pure will.
00:42:12.180And Pope Benedict XVI in the wonderful Regensburg Address quotes Ibn Hazm as describing this distinction.
00:42:20.000So that would be one difference that I think is just not tenable.
00:42:23.200I think that's why Islam kind of falls apart when you really start to prod it, whereas Christianity holds up.
00:42:30.680The other aspects here, I think, is if you engage with the person of Christ, I think you find that he is who he says he is.
00:42:39.260And therefore, he cannot be the presentation of him in Islam or any of the other religions or any of the other heretical Christian sects or anything else.
00:42:46.600So what you need to do is recognize that just as you would in a scientific pursuit, you know, we were talking about the evidence that men are not women earlier,
00:42:55.880just as you would in a political pursuit, the idea that some things are good and bad and more efficient and less efficient in the political sphere,
00:43:03.680so too you can apply your faculties of reason according to objective reality to the religious sphere.
00:43:32.480My question for you is, in regard to the claim that racism is built into the foundation of the Constitution and America as a country,
00:43:39.800I certainly don't believe that, but I wanted to ask how I would refute this statement when someone uses the example of the three-fifths compromise,
00:43:45.960which I actually learned in grade school.
00:43:48.640Sad how much education has gone downhill.
00:43:50.300Love to hear how you would argue against this.
00:43:51.580Well, in the case of the three-fifths compromise, this was a compromise when the Constitution was being formed.
00:43:58.500And the issue was not as modern liberals present it.
00:44:02.600But the modern left will say that the proof of America's white supremacy is they believed that blacks were only three-fifths, rather, of a person.
00:44:11.440And you say, what do you think that means?
00:44:15.020Do you think the compromise was the South wanted to believe that blacks were not people at all,
00:44:19.780and then the good, free North wanted to believe that blacks were real people?
00:44:24.820It was the South that wanted to count, for purposes of political representation in the House of Representatives,
00:44:31.680they wanted to count black slaves as full people, because then that would grow their population numbers.
00:44:39.260The North, and the people who opposed slavery in particular, wanted to count black slaves not as people at all,
00:44:45.640precisely because they believed in their humanity, and they didn't want the South to have disproportionate representation in the federal government.
