Summary

At least 51 of the 67 Democratic lawmakers in the Texas House of Representatives boarded a charter flight to Washington, D.C. to protest election integrity measures that Republicans are trying to restore to the state. What does this say about the lack of trust in our democracy?

00:00:37.780 Texas Republican lawmakers are attempting to restore election integrity measures,
00:00:42.940 many of which fell by the wayside during the crazy COVID election year.
00:00:47.360 So very simple stuff, voter ID, that kind of stuff.
00:00:50.340 They've got the votes.
00:00:52.060 They've got the support of the people.
00:00:54.100 There is no legal way to stop them from restoring election integrity.
00:00:59.980 So the Democrat lawmakers in Texas fled the state.
00:01:05.140 They actually chartered a plane and got out of the state.
00:01:08.940 Now, the shenanigans are not going to last forever.
00:01:12.080 They can't.
00:01:12.600 They're actually ending right this very minute as I speak.
00:01:15.540 But it does represent a very disturbing trend among these Democrat lawmakers.
00:01:19.680 Namely, they have no trust in democracy whatsoever.
00:01:23.340 This goes a long way, I think, toward explaining why public trust is cratering in the media,
00:01:29.900 in the public health experts, and even in our elections.
00:01:33.800 I'm Michael Knowles.
00:01:34.520 This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:01:42.960 Welcome back to the show.
00:01:44.020 My favorite comment yesterday is from Duval in the Wall, who says,
00:01:48.580 notice how the people that lived through communist regimes are almost always conservative.
00:01:53.980 I have noticed that.
00:01:55.340 I have.
00:01:55.800 And we're seeing that play out right now as the people in Cuba are taking to the streets to protest the regime.
00:02:00.580 And a bunch of libs in this country are defending the regime, up to and including people in the Biden administration.
00:02:06.340 It really makes you want something stable that you can rely on.
00:02:12.180 When things get a little crazy in the economy, when inflation is a big worry, as it currently is,
00:02:18.040 sometimes it might make sense to invest in precious metals, which I've really enjoyed doing,
00:02:22.200 specifically investing in physical gold.
00:02:24.200 Now, you might say,
00:02:25.960 Michael, I don't have enough money to invest in physical gold right now.
00:02:28.680 Yes, you do.
00:02:30.020 Because Acre has an ingenious way to do it.
00:02:31.960 If you've got 30 bucks lying around, you can start investing in physical gold.
00:02:35.400 The way you do it is you subscribe to their gold bars.
00:02:38.360 When your gold stash reaches the price of their gold bars,
00:02:41.280 Acre will discreetly ship physical gold to your house.
00:02:45.320 Really, really great stuff.
00:02:47.200 It is designed in California.
00:02:48.720 It is sourced from one of the largest mints in Switzerland.
00:02:51.660 Really good hedge on inflation, which everyone is really worried about right now.
00:02:55.820 We've been talking about it a lot.
00:02:57.420 Head on over right now to getacregold.com slash Knowles.
00:03:00.300 Start investing in physical gold today.
00:03:02.060 Make sure you go to that URL because Acre is giving away a gold bar.
00:03:05.720 To win the gold bar, tweet or post why you should be the recipient
00:03:08.960 and mention at get underscore Acre.
00:03:11.740 That is getacregold.com slash Knowles.
00:03:13.700 Thank you, Acre Gold, for supporting the show.
00:03:16.580 51, at least 51, of the 67 Texas House lawmakers
00:03:22.040 boarded chartered flights to Washington, D.C.
00:03:25.800 So we're talking about private jets now to protest in support of the Corrupt Politicians Act.
00:03:32.600 This would be H.R.1 and S.1.
00:03:35.000 This is federalizing elections, taking power away from the states,
00:03:38.020 upending the constitutional system,
00:03:39.320 and trying to give Democrats a permanent advantage in elections.
00:03:42.640 The walkout comes after Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced a special session
00:03:48.300 of Congress in Texas, the Texas House,
00:03:51.780 to focus on legislative priorities such as election integrity laws.
00:03:56.920 So these Democrats are absolutely immune to irony,
00:04:02.640 but if they were self-aware at all,
00:04:05.600 they would find some great irony in the fact that
00:04:08.520 to protest voter I.D. laws,
00:04:12.980 they got on a bus and then on a private jet to Washington, D.C.
00:04:20.400 In the photo that they posted from their journey,
00:04:24.060 they have a 12-pack of Miller Lite,
00:04:28.040 which they needed an I.D. to purchase.
00:04:31.120 So you're saying that we need greater integrity
00:04:35.980 around the ability to buy cheap beer
00:04:39.060 than we do around our democracy.
00:04:42.480 You know, they're always prattling on about our democracy,
00:04:44.360 but then whenever we want to defend our constitutional structures
00:04:48.220 that protect our democracy,
00:04:49.680 all of a sudden they're not interested in that sort of thing.
00:04:52.400 Then they get on a private jet,
00:04:54.020 so I can't wait to hear them prattling on about environmental worries.
00:04:56.780 They get on the private jet.
00:04:57.980 And the kicker, none of them are wearing masks.
00:05:01.160 So they're telling us that we all need to wear masks
00:05:03.820 because COVID is the worst, scariest virus ever
00:05:06.820 in the history of the world.
00:05:07.880 That filthy cloth that you put on your face,
00:05:09.880 it's so super-duper effective,
00:05:11.840 and we've all got to wear it.
00:05:12.940 Even if you got the vaccine,
00:05:14.120 you need to wear 15 different masks.
00:05:16.320 And then they aren't wearing them.
00:05:18.760 How do I know?
00:05:20.000 How do I know that all of these things happen?
00:05:21.940 Well, one, they posted the pictures.
00:05:23.020 But also, if you or I get on an airplane these days,
00:05:28.140 we're going to have to wear a mask
00:05:29.480 because there is a federal mandate to wear masks on flights.
00:05:34.400 Unless you're flying private,
00:05:35.860 in which case there's no stewardess to come up and down
00:05:37.960 and yell at you to put your mask on.
00:05:39.580 The hypocrisy is so outrageous.
00:05:44.340 It's so absurd.
00:05:45.660 It's not even worth pointing out.
00:05:47.240 There's this meme going around where people say,
00:05:49.100 it's not hypocrisy, it's hierarchy.
00:05:50.960 It's not that the Democrats are failing to live up to their own standard.
00:05:55.200 It's that Democrats believe that there is a different standard
00:05:57.980 that they need to play by than Republicans are,
00:06:00.100 that they are more privileged
00:06:01.440 and they ought to play by different rules.
00:06:03.820 And that's what we're seeing happen here.
00:06:05.240 And Kamala Harris could not be more proud.
00:06:08.580 Kamala Harris is very...
00:06:11.240 So the Texas lawmakers make it to D.C.
00:06:14.360 They host their own press conference.
00:06:16.400 And during their press conference,
00:06:18.480 they actually break out into song.
00:06:20.300 We want to be standing there when a new Voting Rights Act for this century is there
00:06:26.000 and the rights that struggled, that so many lives were taken,
00:06:30.260 so much courage was demonstrated, are preserved once again.
00:06:33.480 And I turn it back over to you for the questions and thank you very much for all that you
00:06:40.240 and all of your colleagues are doing here today.
00:06:42.480 Thank you.
00:06:43.160 I cannot take any more of the boomer LARPing.
00:07:10.520 This is what's going on now is in the 1960s,
00:07:14.600 you had a very consequential social movement called the Civil Rights Movement.
00:07:18.720 And it changed the way voting took place and it changed a lot of the country.
00:07:24.140 And today, all of these...
00:07:28.400 It's as though time froze in 1965.
00:07:31.620 It's as though everyone is just play-acting what happened in 1965.
00:07:35.180 And so they're trying to compare this effort to break the law in Texas
00:07:41.060 to stymie election integrity reforms to the 1960s Civil Rights Movement
00:07:45.600 or some other really consequential movement.
00:07:47.200 Don't forget, these voting laws that are going on around the country,
00:07:50.520 in many instances, are just restoring protections that we had two years ago.
00:07:56.260 They're not even...
00:07:57.160 You know, we had election integrity measures.
00:07:59.440 Then last year, the liberal establishment got rid of all of them.
00:08:01.960 Not all of them, but a great deal of them.
00:08:03.900 And in some cases, explicitly violated the state constitution
00:08:07.120 on the way elections are supposed to be conducted, notably in Pennsylvania.
00:08:10.900 And now we're told that if you ever restore any of those things again,
00:08:14.360 you know, those provisions that we had in place 18 months ago,
00:08:17.960 if you ever do that, that that's basically Jim Crow, it's slavery, it's racist,
00:08:22.400 it's just so preposterous.
00:08:25.740 Not just these silly Texas Democrats, Kamala Harris defending them.
00:08:29.380 I do want to first start by making a statement about the legislators in Texas
00:08:35.220 who are showing extraordinary courage and commitment.
00:08:41.100 I met with them when many of them traveled to Washington, D.C.
00:08:45.400 We sat down and had an extensive conversation in the Roosevelt Room in the White House.
00:08:49.880 And I applaud them standing for the rights of all Americans and all Texans
00:08:57.520 to express their voice through their vote, unencumbered.
00:09:03.400 I will say that they are leaders who are marching in the path that so many others before did
00:09:12.540 when they fought and many died for our right to vote.
00:09:16.440 So what Kamala Harris is saying is that if you have to show an ID to vote,
00:09:23.720 this is a measure supported by a huge number of people,
00:09:26.520 including by a number of polls, the majority of black people.
00:09:29.920 This has become a racialized issue, but even the majority of black people,
00:09:33.580 according to many polls, support these sorts of things.
00:09:36.040 Then you're disenfranchising people.
00:09:38.400 You are.
00:09:38.680 You're disenfranchising illegal aliens.
00:09:40.320 You're disenfranchising political hacks.
00:09:42.720 You're disenfranchising people who shouldn't be voting.
00:09:45.420 That's what you're doing here.
00:09:47.100 And she's saying that, you know, she applauds these Texas lawmakers.
00:09:50.380 Make no mistake.
00:09:51.220 The Texas lawmakers are subverting democracy,
00:09:53.260 not just because they're trying to get rid of election integrity measures,
00:09:56.560 but because they're violating the law.
00:09:58.780 The people of Texas elected their representatives, their legislators.
00:10:03.080 The legislators are now pursuing their legislative agenda.
00:10:06.760 The Democrats, because there's no legal way for them to stop this,
00:10:11.320 just flee the state, which is against the law.
00:10:13.100 And by the way, which is going to result in their being arrested.
00:10:17.340 So Governor Abbott came out.
00:10:18.560 He was not having anything to do with this.
00:10:21.520 He said that they're in violation of the law.
00:10:23.380 The minute they land back in Texas, they'll be arrested.
00:10:25.640 They'll be brought back to the Capitol.
00:10:26.860 But that actually probably won't even be necessary now
00:10:29.200 because a few Democrats were pried off.
00:10:31.860 They've now voted with the Republicans.
00:10:33.440 They couldn't withstand the public pressure to do so.
00:10:35.680 And the election integrity measures will be restored.
00:10:38.860 At the total disadvantage to all these Democrats,
00:10:45.500 you know, all of these Democrats are desperately trying to prevent
00:10:49.760 these kinds of measures, not just in Texas, but everywhere.
00:10:52.240 Why?
00:10:52.780 What are they so afraid of?
00:10:54.880 Why are Democrats so insistent on making permanent
00:10:59.400 the corrupt election practices that came up during the 2020 COVID lockdowns?
00:11:05.380 This isn't just happening at the state level.
00:11:07.460 This isn't just happening in Kamala Harris's press conferences.
00:11:10.980 This is becoming a priority of the Biden administration.
00:11:14.620 Is your home's title still in your name?
00:11:16.700 With one forged document, scammers can steal your home title and equity.
00:11:20.680 But now you can protect yourself.

00:11:46.740 Jen Psaki, White House spokesman, comes out strongly against election integrity laws.
00:11:53.620 He's very focused on this speech tomorrow, one that he himself wanted to deliver.
00:11:58.180 He'll lay out the moral case for why denying the right to vote is a form of suppression
00:12:02.200 and a form of silencing and how he will use.
00:12:05.620 He will redouble his commitment to using every tool at his disposal
00:12:08.860 to continue to fight to protect the fundamental right of Americans
00:12:12.160 to vote against the onslaught of voter suppression laws
00:12:15.420 based on a dangerous and discredited conspiracy theory
00:12:18.420 that culminated in assault on our Capitol.
00:12:21.160 He'll call out the greatest irony of the big lie
00:12:23.880 is that no election in our history has met such a high standard,
00:12:26.920 with over 80 judges, including those appointed by his predecessor,
00:12:30.580 throwing out all challenges.
00:12:31.700 He'll also decry efforts to strip the right to vote
00:12:34.580 as authoritarian and anti-American
00:12:36.880 and stand up against the notion that politicians should be allowed
00:12:41.080 to choose their voters or to subvert our system
00:12:43.620 by replacing independent election authorities with partisan ones.
00:12:46.880 And he will highlight the work of the administration against this,
00:12:50.020 the necessity of passing the For the People Act
00:12:52.040 and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act
00:12:54.040 and how we need to work together with civil rights organizations
00:12:56.920 to build as broad a turnout and voter education system
00:13:00.080 to overcome the worst challenge to our democracy since the Civil War.
00:13:04.080 Many ironies here.
00:13:06.740 First of all, the use of the phrase,
00:13:10.140 the big lie, is not the own that the libs seem to think it is.
00:13:15.500 What the libs are presenting is this idea of the big lie
00:13:19.580 as being perpetrated by the Nazis.
00:13:21.940 So when they use this phrase, the big lie,
00:13:23.300 it's a term coined by Adolf Hitler,
00:13:24.980 they are comparing their opponents to the Nazis.
00:13:27.680 What they don't understand, though,
00:13:29.840 because they didn't read the book,
00:13:31.220 is that, or really many history books at all,
00:13:34.720 the big lie is a term coined by Hitler
00:13:37.400 to refer to what he's accusing the Jews of doing
00:13:40.320 with regard to a general in World War I.
00:13:43.680 So unwittingly, I think,
00:13:46.240 the Democrats are actually making themselves the Nazis in this analogy.
00:13:51.880 Furthermore, she says that the Republicans are pushing a big lie,
00:13:56.120 which is all the more ridiculous
00:13:58.340 because the 2020 election was the most secure election ever in American history.
00:14:06.480 Now, even if you think there was, you know,
00:14:08.380 basically nothing that would have swayed the 2020 election,
00:14:11.380 and yeah, maybe there were some issues here and there,
00:14:13.760 but, you know, everything was totally kosher.
00:14:16.180 Does anybody really believe
00:14:17.500 it was the most secure election ever in American history?
00:14:22.500 Does anybody believe that?
00:14:26.120 The expansion of widespread mail-in votes,
00:14:28.020 which even Barack Obama a few years ago was acknowledging
00:14:30.340 leads to fraud and abuse.
00:14:32.860 The extension of election day to election season,
00:14:38.120 the lack of voter ID at the polls,
00:14:42.260 the violation of state constitutions on election,
00:14:44.740 I mean, the counting of ballots after the election.
00:14:47.280 I mean, even if you think the election,
00:14:49.680 in the end, turned out just fine,
00:14:51.280 you can't possibly say that the election was the single most secure,
00:14:56.760 highest standard election in American history.
00:14:58.660 That is itself a big lie.
00:15:01.960 Third, third, and I think this is the most important point,
00:15:06.220 most voters favor these election integrity measures.
00:15:11.120 According to every survey,
00:15:13.260 there's a survey just came out,
00:15:16.000 78% of voters,
00:15:18.360 we talked about this a couple of days ago on the show,
00:15:19.960 78% of voters said that in addition to stronger voter ID laws,
00:15:23.920 they support signature verification,
00:15:25.780 chain of custody controls,
00:15:26.780 bipartisan observers overseeing the counting,
00:15:29.200 cleaning up the voter rolls.
00:15:30.420 71% said they don't believe ballots should be accepted after election day.
00:15:34.080 And a whopping 87%
00:15:35.980 said that they're against ballot harvesting.
00:15:38.540 So, the Democrats are saying that our democracy is going to collapse
00:15:46.080 because of election integrity measures,
00:15:48.660 many of which we already had as recently as two years ago,
00:15:52.340 that the vast majority of voters support.
00:15:55.740 But the Democrats don't support the democratic voice of the people,
00:15:59.720 and so they're trying to undermine that with a federalization of the elections.
00:16:02.520 Speaking of polls,
00:16:05.060 speaking of a divergence between what the people are saying,
00:16:08.280 what the ruling liberal elite are saying,
00:16:11.840 a new poll shows that 70% of black voters
00:16:15.040 now believe that violent crime is a major crisis.
00:16:18.680 Don't forget,
00:16:19.380 the ruling Democrat elite says that rising violent crime,
00:16:22.980 it's imaginary,
00:16:23.860 it's a racist dog whistle,
00:16:25.020 don't talk about it,
00:16:25.940 it's white supremacy,
00:16:26.960 it's whatever.
00:16:27.700 Well,
00:16:28.400 70% of black voters think it's a big problem
00:16:30.820 because it's happening in their neighborhoods,
00:16:32.360 right?
00:16:32.540 It's not,
00:16:32.920 it's not happening in,
00:16:34.560 you know,
00:16:35.100 the sunny neighborhoods of Beverly Hills or something like that.
00:16:38.080 It's happening in neighborhoods
00:16:39.460 that have a disproportionate number of black voters.
00:16:41.880 So, by the way,
00:16:42.360 this poll comes out from a Democrat research firm.
00:16:44.860 So, the Democrat firm shows
00:16:47.140 that for the first time,
00:16:49.560 crime ranked ahead of the pandemic
00:16:51.620 as the top issue for all voters.
00:16:54.460 More surprisingly,
00:16:55.460 it was an issue that voters of both parties ranked highly,
00:16:57.740 57% of Republicans,
00:16:59.440 52% of Democrats,
00:17:00.820 so the majority of both Republicans and Democrats,
00:17:03.740 and 70% of black voters say violent crime is a major crisis.
00:17:08.840 And during all of this,
00:17:10.340 so you've got,
00:17:10.860 you've got as near a consensus on this issue
00:17:13.820 as on any issue we have in the United States.
00:17:16.920 The majority of everyone agrees,
00:17:20.280 you got to deal with this violent crime thing.
00:17:22.340 At the same time,
00:17:23.240 the ruling liberal elite,
00:17:24.920 which is the,
00:17:25.340 that's the minority group
00:17:26.580 that doesn't agree with this stuff,
00:17:27.920 is actually calling to abolish the police.
00:17:31.220 An MSNBC host just came on the show,
00:17:34.500 The Beat with Ari Melber.
00:17:35.680 I haven't heard of this show.
00:17:37.540 It was guest hosted by Jason Johnson,
00:17:39.920 a professor of journalism at Morgan State University,
00:17:43.640 a frequent MSNBC contributor.
00:17:45.720 They come on and discuss the need to abolish the police.
00:17:49.340 I want to bring up this in the background,
00:17:51.260 because this is really key.
00:17:52.300 I don't think people understand
00:17:53.740 how often this same kind of violence
00:17:56.100 often visits the same families.
00:17:58.120 We have a story that just came out
00:17:59.960 talking about the fact that,
00:18:01.060 you know,
00:18:01.580 a young man who knew Eric Garner
00:18:03.100 later on got pepper sprayed by the cops,
00:18:04.800 that George Floyd's,
00:18:05.980 you know,
00:18:06.540 girlfriend used to teach Dante Wright.
00:18:08.300 The police seem to prey
00:18:10.160 on the same black people
00:18:11.580 over and over and over again.
00:18:12.740 I've always made it abundantly clear.
00:18:14.200 I believe abolishing police,
00:18:15.640 getting rid of it entirely,
00:18:16.640 starting from the beginning.
00:18:17.500 We've done that before.
00:18:18.220 We've done it with the Department of War.
00:18:19.780 But in this moment,
00:18:21.040 that's a conversation we can have tomorrow.
00:18:22.340 You are going to hear
00:18:24.380 from some more moderate voices
00:18:27.240 in the Democratic Party
00:18:28.520 who are trying to win votes
00:18:29.580 that abolish the police
00:18:31.020 doesn't mean abolish the police.
00:18:33.320 No, defund the police.
00:18:35.180 It just means, you know,
00:18:37.020 reform it a little.
00:18:38.320 No, it doesn't.
00:18:39.780 AOC came out and corrected this
00:18:41.360 the first time that Democrats
00:18:42.660 tried to have both sides of the issue.
00:18:44.480 She said, no, no, no.
00:18:45.020 Abolish the police means abolish the police.
00:18:46.720 And you're hearing this on MSNBC too,
00:18:48.400 which is a major Democrat cable network.
00:18:52.340 I say it still gets very, very low ratings,
00:18:55.940 but as far as Democrat cable networks go,
00:18:58.200 it is one of the big ones.
00:19:00.040 And they are outright calling
00:19:02.360 to abolish the police.
00:19:03.460 Doesn't make a whole lot of sense
00:19:04.580 because they're saying,
00:19:06.280 their argument is
00:19:07.400 that the police are brutalizing these people
00:19:11.180 like George Floyd,
00:19:12.440 you know, who was just minding his own business,
00:19:14.120 committing crimes,
00:19:15.720 high on drugs,
00:19:16.880 hiding drugs,
00:19:17.740 resisting arrest.
00:19:18.180 He was just minding his own business,
00:19:19.380 you know,
00:19:20.960 criminal record,
00:19:21.760 a mile long,
00:19:23.720 robbed a pregnant woman,
00:19:24.840 reportedly at gunpoint.
00:19:25.900 But he's minding his own business
00:19:27.160 and then the police brutalized,
00:19:29.060 victimized these people
00:19:30.360 and go in.
00:19:31.600 It's so,
00:19:31.920 police who are very often
00:19:33.180 black or Hispanic themselves.
00:19:34.460 It's white supremacy,
00:19:35.440 though, we're told.
00:19:36.740 Meanwhile,
00:19:37.300 black voters are saying,
00:19:38.280 overwhelmingly,
00:19:38.980 no, no,
00:19:39.240 give us more police.
00:19:40.220 We want,
00:19:41.060 give the,
00:19:41.760 give us police
00:19:42.520 so that we don't have
00:19:43.280 the violent crime spike.
00:19:44.900 But there's a huge divergence here
00:19:46.280 between what the liberal ruling elite want
00:19:48.060 and what the people want.
00:19:48.820 You see this most notably
00:19:49.840 with Robin DiAngelo's stupid book.
00:19:51.980 Robin DiAngelo is one of these race hustlers
00:19:53.680 who promotes the white fragility,
00:19:57.080 anti-whiteness,
00:19:58.740 anti-racism,
00:20:00.000 all this crazy stuff
00:20:01.260 that we now,
00:20:02.220 we now talk about
00:20:03.240 with this label,
00:20:03.820 critical race theory.
00:20:06.100 It's even a little bit broader than that
00:20:08.200 or a little blunter than that.
00:20:09.280 It's just an anti-white racial ideology.
00:20:13.180 So Robin DiAngelo comes out,
00:20:14.360 she had this bestseller
00:20:15.140 with her first book.
00:20:17.100 Her second book comes out,
00:20:18.040 coincidentally,
00:20:18.620 at the same time
00:20:19.160 that my book,
00:20:19.720 Speechless,
00:20:20.080 comes out.
00:20:21.040 My book,
00:20:22.620 or around the same time,
00:20:23.960 my book outsold hers
00:20:25.540 by an order of magnitude,
00:20:28.720 I think,
00:20:29.260 at least.
00:20:30.180 You know,
00:20:30.680 it outsold it tremendously.
00:20:32.800 And as we've mentioned on the show,
00:20:34.440 the New York Times snubbed us,
00:20:36.100 even though we sold 40% more books
00:20:37.560 without any bulk sales
00:20:38.740 than the number one
00:20:39.560 on the New York Times list.
00:20:41.840 Robin DiAngelo's book,
00:20:42.660 I think it only sold like 3,500 copies
00:20:44.720 or something like that
00:20:45.500 and they put her on the list
00:20:47.260 because,
00:20:48.360 as I've mentioned in my own book,
00:20:49.740 the left manipulates language
00:20:51.340 to try to redefine reality
00:20:52.680 and they've redefined
00:20:53.380 the term bestseller as well.
00:20:54.820 And it does carry
00:20:56.060 some cultural cachet.
00:20:57.580 It does influence
00:20:59.000 whose books get placed
00:21:00.480 in the brick-and-mortar bookstores,
00:21:02.440 for instance.
00:21:03.380 A lot of people have written in,
00:21:04.500 a lot of you have written in to me
00:21:05.340 and said,
00:21:05.700 I've gone to three bookstores
00:21:06.640 in my town
00:21:07.280 and I can't find
00:21:08.460 a copy of your book
00:21:09.340 even though it's number one
00:21:10.420 on the publisher's weekly list,
00:21:11.640 for instance.
00:21:12.420 I'll say,
00:21:12.980 right,
00:21:13.520 that's because people
00:21:14.940 are making these decisions
00:21:15.940 in no small part
00:21:16.860 based on the New York Times list.
00:21:18.360 So we joke about the New York Times,
00:21:19.860 who cares what they think,
00:21:20.920 but they do still have
00:21:22.160 cultural influence.
00:21:23.660 These radical left cable news hosts
00:21:26.140 still have cultural influence.
00:21:28.760 These radicals
00:21:29.440 who are disproportionately,
00:21:32.140 or who are a very small portion
00:21:33.920 of the population,
00:21:34.940 have a disproportionate amount
00:21:36.360 of political power.
00:21:38.240 This is why,
00:21:41.260 this is why some people
00:21:43.660 don't believe the election results.
00:21:45.700 Okay, I'm not,
00:21:46.380 I want to be very clear
00:21:47.480 for all of the radicals
00:21:49.980 right now
00:21:50.580 who are on YouTube
00:21:51.320 and social media
00:21:52.100 who wield disproportionate
00:21:53.220 political power
00:21:53.800 and who are going to
00:21:54.220 shut this show down
00:21:54.860 if I in any way say
00:21:55.960 that the election
00:21:56.820 wasn't the most secure election.
00:21:59.160 I'm not talking about
00:22:00.960 the election itself.
00:22:01.880 I'm talking about
00:22:02.720 why people don't trust the election.
00:22:06.620 Those are different things.
00:22:08.240 And the reason
00:22:09.660 that people don't trust the election
00:22:12.700 is because the elites
00:22:15.500 lie to us all the time.
00:22:19.520 They lie to us about the virus.
00:22:21.320 They lie to us about the vaccine.
00:22:22.880 They lie to us about the masks.
00:22:24.560 That's just the public health section.
00:22:26.140 They lie to us about violent crime.
00:22:28.260 They lie to us about the cops.
00:22:30.460 They lie to us about
00:22:31.360 what's going on in Cuba right now.
00:22:32.800 They lie to us about everything,
00:22:34.900 about everything.
00:22:35.900 And they don't have any credibility.
00:22:37.300 They do it.
00:22:38.340 They urinate on our legs
00:22:39.500 and they tell us that it's raining.
00:22:41.260 And so we just don't have trust in them.
00:22:44.340 That's not the people's fault.
00:22:45.820 That is the fault of the ruling elites.
00:22:49.000 If you want to see someone
00:22:50.060 really take on the ruling elites,
00:22:51.200 I'd recommend you check out

00:23:29.760 Knowles 2028,
00:23:30.900 The Authoritarian Moment.
00:23:32.120 So go check that out.
00:23:33.080 You can pre-order that
00:23:34.180 wherever books are sold.
00:23:36.960 We'll be right back
00:23:37.860 with a lot more.
00:23:50.840 President Trump just showed up
00:23:52.720 to a UFC fight.
00:23:54.420 And when he walked
00:23:55.020 into the stadium,
00:23:56.400 huge cheers erupted.
00:23:59.000 USA, USA.
00:24:01.240 USA, USA, USA, USA, USA, USA.
00:24:07.960 You can see,
00:24:09.060 and this goes on for a long time,
00:24:11.020 people in the room loved Trump.
00:24:13.120 I mention this not for any story
00:24:15.040 about Trump or about UFC,
00:24:18.640 but because of this issue
00:24:22.000 that we've been talking about,
00:24:23.720 why people don't totally trust
00:24:26.860 the 2020 election.
00:24:28.680 They saw Trump being cheered,
00:24:31.260 huge crowds wherever he goes.
00:24:33.780 They saw him win the 2016 election
00:24:36.340 when all the experts told us
00:24:37.660 99% chance he was going to lose.
00:24:40.220 And they see Joe Biden
00:24:41.480 and they see that Joe Biden
00:24:42.560 is not functioning
00:24:44.220 even as well as he used to.
00:24:45.780 And he was never
00:24:46.340 the brightest bulb in the pack.
00:24:47.780 They see Joe Biden
00:24:49.160 show up to campaign events.
00:24:50.140 Nobody's showing up.
00:24:51.080 You'd have 18 people in the field.
00:24:53.080 They're seeing all of these election laws
00:24:55.840 magically being changed
00:24:57.520 right before the election.
00:24:59.140 They're seeing, in some cases,
00:25:01.200 illegal, outright illegal,
00:25:03.120 and unconstitutional
00:25:04.020 election practices.
00:25:06.080 And, and this is the crucial part,
00:25:08.560 they're seeing the liberal establishment
00:25:10.560 continue to lie to us
00:25:12.280 about basically everything.
00:25:15.840 And, and so I'm, I'm not saying,
00:25:19.000 I am not saying
00:25:20.200 that the election was stolen.
00:25:21.480 I'm not saying
00:25:22.560 that Donald Trump got more votes.
00:25:24.280 I'm not, I'm not, I'm really not.
00:25:25.240 I'm not saying any of that.
00:25:26.100 I'm saying
00:25:26.960 that it is perfectly reasonable
00:25:29.520 for people not to believe
00:25:31.200 these liars in the ruling elite
00:25:33.200 who sneer at the majority of Americans,
00:25:36.080 who ignore the preferences
00:25:37.380 of the majority of Americans.
00:25:38.580 I mean, just take this issue
00:25:39.360 we were talking about,
00:25:39.900 violent crime.
00:25:41.560 Everybody, the majority of everybody
00:25:43.600 wants to reduce violent crime.
00:25:44.960 The ruling establishment
00:25:45.920 won't do a damn thing about it.
00:25:47.440 And they actually are pushing
00:25:48.520 to abolish the police.
00:25:50.000 Look at the issue of immigration.
00:25:51.320 The majority of Americans
00:25:52.360 want to drastically reduce immigration,
00:25:54.720 drastic, legal and illegal.
00:25:56.360 This is a very easy issue.
00:25:58.040 It's a winner.
00:25:58.680 It's a winner of an issue.
00:25:59.800 Such a winner that it propelled
00:26:00.780 Donald Trump to the presidency in 2016,
00:26:02.840 despite the best machinations
00:26:04.240 of the liberal establishment,
00:26:05.720 which was spying on his campaign,
00:26:07.320 which was trying to undermine his campaign,
00:26:08.800 doing lots of nefarious
00:26:10.000 and almost certainly illegal things.
00:26:13.060 And he's still won because of that issue.
00:26:14.240 But what's the establishment telling us?
00:26:16.200 No, we need more immigration.
00:26:18.060 Beep, boop, beep, beep, boop.
00:26:19.060 We need to send more jobs overseas.
00:26:21.240 And then we need to bring in more workers here,
00:26:23.320 especially low-skilled workers
00:26:24.460 across the border,
00:26:25.360 to compete with Americans
00:26:26.540 and lower their wages.
00:26:27.580 That's what we need, right?
00:26:29.220 No.
00:26:30.180 No, they don't.
00:26:30.640 They just have different priorities
00:26:32.020 than the majority of the American people.
00:26:36.100 We're told constantly,
00:26:37.780 with this coronavirus,
00:26:38.860 15 days to slow the spread.
00:26:40.120 Ha ha, it's 18 months later.
00:26:41.420 Whatever, deal with it, twerps.
00:26:42.800 Wear the mask.
00:26:43.660 Don't wear the mask, sheep.
00:26:45.000 Wear the mask, sheep.
00:26:46.100 Put the mask on the three-year-old sheep.
00:26:47.720 It's just changing constantly.
00:26:49.040 And now, by the way,
00:26:49.600 according to Politico,
00:26:50.720 Biden-allied groups,
00:26:52.080 including the Democratic National Committee,
00:26:54.200 are working with cell phone carriers
00:26:56.340 to pry into your text messages
00:26:59.640 to stop what they call disinformation,
00:27:03.440 in particular about COVID.
00:27:05.620 It's not enough.
00:27:07.180 It's not enough that an article
00:27:09.360 in the New York Post comes out
00:27:10.480 detailing corruption by the Biden family
00:27:12.560 right before the election,
00:27:14.020 and big tech shuts you down from posting that.
00:27:16.980 But a completely accurate report.
00:27:18.900 100% true report.
00:27:20.680 They stop you from posting it.
00:27:21.680 They stop you from privately messaging it
00:27:23.160 on social media.
00:27:24.580 Meanwhile, conspiracy theories
00:27:25.980 about Trump and the Russians or whatever
00:27:27.300 are promoted from the highest echelons of power.
00:27:30.480 Now, forget your Twitter.
00:27:32.660 Forget your Facebook.
00:27:33.400 They want to go into your text messages,
00:27:35.380 because if you're texting someone
00:27:37.600 an unapproved message,
00:27:39.740 a message that contradicts
00:27:41.200 the ever-changing dogmas of the liberal regime,
00:27:43.400 why, that's a big problem.
00:27:45.220 That's a threat to our democracy.
00:27:47.440 So a handful of utterly unaccountable people
00:27:50.240 now are going to try to go in
00:27:51.980 to pry into your messages.
00:27:56.960 The goal, they say,
00:27:57.920 is to ensure that people
00:27:58.860 who may have difficulty getting a vaccination
00:28:01.320 because of issues like transportation
00:28:03.760 see those barriers lessened,
00:28:05.320 or it's just to help you,
00:28:06.380 just for your own good, isn't it?
00:28:09.400 The people know that they can get a vaccine.
00:28:11.180 The people know what coronavirus is.
00:28:13.020 They know that they can get a vaccine.
00:28:14.680 They are not making the choice
00:28:15.880 that the liberal regime wants,
00:28:17.160 and so they're going to apply pressure.
00:28:18.780 Dr. Fauci said
00:28:19.780 that this is all horrifying,
00:28:22.880 that people who are now cheering
00:28:24.620 on certain figures in journalism
00:28:27.920 and medical science and politics
00:28:30.000 who are suggesting
00:28:31.340 maybe we can just use our prudence
00:28:33.180 with the vaccine
00:28:33.760 and maybe not everybody needs
00:28:34.860 to go get it right away.
00:28:36.660 Fauci says this is absolutely horrifying.
00:28:40.140 They were hoping,
00:28:41.300 the government was hoping,
00:28:42.760 that they could sort of sucker
00:28:44.000 90% of the population
00:28:45.440 into getting vaccinated,
00:28:47.020 and it isn't happening, right?
00:28:49.800 There's a...
00:28:51.600 Younger people...
00:28:53.800 I'm going to cut him off right there
00:28:55.600 because he just goes on
00:28:56.580 to just say things
00:28:57.700 that are not true about the vaccine,
00:28:59.000 but what I wanted
00:29:00.340 to get your reaction to
00:29:01.520 is the crowd cheering
00:29:03.760 when this gentleman talks about
00:29:06.640 how the government
00:29:07.260 was not able to achieve
00:29:08.480 a 90% vaccine goal.
00:29:10.460 The crowd cheers.
00:29:12.120 As a public health official,
00:29:13.560 what's your reaction
00:29:14.280 when you hear that?
00:29:15.540 It's horrifying.
00:29:17.500 I mean, they're cheering
00:29:18.900 about someone saying
00:29:21.020 that it's a good thing
00:29:23.180 for people not to try
00:29:24.800 and save their lives.
00:29:26.060 I mean, if you just unpack that
00:29:28.400 for a second, Jake,
00:29:29.940 it's almost frightening
00:29:31.540 to say, hey, guess what?
00:29:33.600 We don't want you
00:29:34.560 to do something
00:29:35.280 to save your life.
00:29:36.920 Yay!
00:29:37.580 Everybody starts screaming
00:29:39.240 and clapping.
00:29:40.740 I just don't get that.
00:29:42.540 I mean, and I don't think
00:29:43.700 that anybody who's thinking
00:29:44.800 clearly can get that.
00:29:46.820 What is that all about?
00:29:48.780 I don't understand that, Jake.
00:29:51.180 The FDA, by the way,
00:29:52.720 just added another warning
00:29:53.900 to the Johnson & Johnson vaccine
00:29:55.500 because of a nerve system risk,
00:30:00.900 especially in young people.
00:30:02.460 Obviously, there was already
00:30:04.200 the pause on the vaccine
00:30:05.200 because it was causing
00:30:05.880 blood clots in some women.
00:30:08.980 The mRNA vaccine has been suggested,
00:30:14.340 not just by people on the internet,
00:30:15.660 but by the FDA and the CDC,
00:30:17.400 that it's causing myocarditis,
00:30:19.440 the inflammation of the heart,
00:30:20.640 in young people who face
00:30:21.800 statistically very, very, very,
00:30:23.840 very, very infinitesimally small risk
00:30:26.200 from coronavirus itself.
00:30:27.760 13-year-old boy just died
00:30:28.820 because of the inflammation
00:30:30.120 of the heart
00:30:30.720 just a few days after
00:30:31.840 he received the vaccine.
00:30:33.640 No proof yet of a correlation here,
00:30:36.080 or of causation,
00:30:37.180 but it would seem probable.
00:30:40.080 It's being investigated right now.
00:30:42.000 So Alex Berenson,
00:30:42.920 who was the journalist
00:30:43.780 who was speaking at the top,
00:30:44.760 he says, look,
00:30:45.440 the government was trying
00:30:46.140 to get everyone
00:30:47.000 to get this vaccine,
00:30:48.220 but while some people,
00:30:49.800 some groups of people
00:30:50.620 are at a fairly significant risk
00:30:52.640 from COVID,
00:30:54.440 other groups of people
00:30:55.240 are at very, very, very,
00:30:56.520 very little risk from COVID.
00:30:58.380 And so they're saying,
00:30:59.020 well, why would I get
00:30:59.560 this experimental drug
00:31:01.040 that doesn't even have
00:31:02.420 a full FDA approval?
00:31:03.660 It's got an emergency
00:31:04.400 youth authorization.
00:31:05.620 Why would I get that
00:31:06.240 for a virus that poses
00:31:07.540 statistically very little risk to me?
00:31:09.880 Horrifying.
00:31:10.460 Just to save your life.
00:31:11.880 Hey, hey,
00:31:12.980 for all you unwashed,
00:31:14.560 rube, deplorable,
00:31:15.740 unvaccinated idiots out there.
00:31:18.820 You still alive?
00:31:19.500 You still, you're fine?
00:31:20.140 You feel good?
00:31:20.720 You feel, okay, cool.
00:31:21.740 Good, glad.
00:31:22.500 I'm glad.
00:31:23.160 It's a shock to Dr. Fauci,
00:31:24.720 that genius.
00:31:26.200 Not just on the vaccine stuff,
00:31:27.640 though,
00:31:27.760 that has been the most recent
00:31:29.840 notable expression
00:31:30.880 of the progressive bureaucracy
00:31:33.180 and technocracy,
00:31:34.560 but you're seeing it in Cuba.
00:31:35.980 Cuba, I think,
00:31:36.540 is really putting this
00:31:37.700 in stark relief.
00:31:38.980 The people in Cuba
00:31:39.740 protesting for freedom,
00:31:41.600 protesting an end to communism
00:31:42.800 and the dictatorship.
00:31:43.520 American liberals defending it.
00:31:46.900 David Harbour,
00:31:48.080 who is,
00:31:48.980 do you remember him?
00:31:49.840 He was the guy on Stranger Things.
00:31:51.900 He's a big lib.
00:31:53.160 He gave an awards speech
00:31:55.680 a few years ago
00:31:56.760 where he not so subtly
00:31:59.760 was attacking conservatives.
00:32:01.400 This was after Trump won
00:32:02.420 and said that he was going
00:32:03.760 to punch people in the face.
00:32:04.960 Do you remember this?
00:32:05.900 As we act in the continuing narrative
00:32:08.040 of Stranger Things,
00:32:09.540 we 1983 Midwesterns
00:32:10.520 will repel bullies.
00:32:13.140 We will shelter freaks
00:32:15.380 and outcast those
00:32:16.640 who have no home.
00:32:17.880 We will get past the lies.
00:32:21.240 We will hunt monsters.
00:32:24.280 And when we are at a loss
00:32:25.520 amidst the hypocrisy
00:32:26.940 and the casual violence
00:32:28.600 of certain individuals
00:32:29.780 and institutions,
00:32:30.840 we will,
00:32:31.680 as per Chief Jim Hopper,
00:32:33.400 punch some people
00:32:34.860 in the face
00:32:35.780 when they seek to destroy
00:32:37.380 the moot
00:32:38.240 and the disenfranchised
00:32:39.800 and the marginalized.
00:32:42.040 Yeah,
00:32:42.660 political violence.
00:32:43.940 We are going to physically harm
00:32:46.200 our political opponents
00:32:47.860 because that's what we do
00:32:49.320 in our democracy.
00:32:50.660 That's,
00:32:51.060 that's right.
00:32:52.240 No civility,
00:32:53.600 no legal processes.
00:32:54.800 We're just going to punch them
00:32:56.800 so that we don't become
00:32:58.480 like the fascists.
00:33:01.640 What a dope.
00:33:02.740 So this guy,
00:33:04.040 this guy,
00:33:04.560 that was a few years ago.
00:33:05.560 He comes out now
00:33:06.180 and he says,
00:33:06.900 quote,
00:33:07.820 this is an interview
00:33:09.160 just a few days ago.
00:33:10.960 I don't know
00:33:11.800 that there is anyone
00:33:12.920 who could disagree
00:33:13.860 with socialist ideology.
00:33:16.060 I wish,
00:33:16.720 this was a print interview
00:33:17.700 if it were a video interview.
00:33:18.820 I wish you could hear me yell,
00:33:20.140 I don't know anyone
00:33:21.120 who could disagree
00:33:22.120 with socialism.
00:33:23.080 He says,
00:33:23.280 I don't know anyone
00:33:23.740 who could disagree
00:33:24.120 with socialist ideology.
00:33:25.240 If you work at Starbucks
00:33:26.220 and you make the coffee,
00:33:27.220 then you should own it.
00:33:28.160 You're the one making the coffee.
00:33:29.500 Okay,
00:33:29.780 so hold on.
00:33:30.240 I just,
00:33:31.720 we don't,
00:33:33.300 we don't have time
00:33:33.980 on this show
00:33:34.440 to dispel
00:33:35.720 this theory
00:33:36.920 of property ownership
00:33:38.780 that if you
00:33:39.800 in any way
00:33:40.660 interact
00:33:41.440 with some
00:33:42.100 piece of property
00:33:43.400 that then you own
00:33:44.140 the property.
00:33:44.720 What about the guy
00:33:45.160 who grew the beans?
00:33:46.060 What about the guy
00:33:46.660 who transported the beans?
00:33:47.940 What about the guy
00:33:48.440 who roasted the beans?
00:33:49.480 What about the guy
00:33:49.980 who built the Starbucks?
00:33:51.180 What about the guy
00:33:51.800 who produced the cups?
00:33:53.300 What about the guy
00:33:53.780 who produced the little sleeve
00:33:54.700 for the cup?
00:33:55.320 What about the person
00:33:56.700 who is ringing up
00:33:57.680 the customer?
00:33:58.700 What about the person
00:33:59.520 who laid out the Capitol to start the whole thing in the first place, whether it's the
00:34:02.620 farm or the Starbucks. He doesn't have much of an answer for that. He doesn't know much
00:34:06.060 about anything. His first point is the most ridiculous. I don't know anyone who could
00:34:11.520 disagree with socialist ideology. What about the people in Cuba right now? Because you,
00:34:16.800 rich Hollywood guy living in America, you seem to love socialism in theory. The people
00:34:23.460 living under socialism in Cuba hate it in practice. Their symbol, by the way, of protest
00:34:29.580 is the American flag. They've been waving it in the streets of Havana. They put it on their
00:34:32.960 bicycles. They sew it onto their jeans. I saw it firsthand when I visited. Here, the American
00:34:38.860 flag is called a symbol of oppression and hatred. There, it's a symbol of freedom against the
00:34:44.220 communist tyranny. But they lie to us. They lie to us. Lawrence O'Donnell, who's another
00:34:50.780 guy on MSNBC? He just came out. He said, you knew it was going to happen. You knew that the
00:34:56.640 problem can't be socialism because true socialism has never been tried. True communism, it's never
00:35:05.160 been tried. This is what we always hear. After the failure of every communist and socialist regime
00:35:10.180 in history, it's never been tried. You see? So you just got to try it one more time. Then it's
00:35:14.420 going to work out. And that is the issue in Cuba. The problem is not socialism. It's the
00:35:19.040 dictatorship. If the United States had been wise enough to remove the embargo 50 years
00:35:24.740 ago, the Cuban dictatorship would have had no convenient excuse for the deprivations Cuba
00:35:30.920 has suffered. Cuba's agonies tonight are only partially assignable to the embargo and almost
00:35:37.320 entirely the fault of 60 years of dictatorial government by economic illiterates. Cuba's problem
00:35:45.320 is not too much socialism as Republicans would have you believe. It is too much dictatorship,
00:35:52.580 second only to North Korea at this point. Okay. It's not too much socialism. It's too much
00:35:59.400 dictatorship. Okay. Okay. Let's just go with that for a second, Lawrence. What kind of dictatorship is
00:36:07.740 it? How'd they get the dictatorship, Lawrence? Yes, there are other types of dictatorship in the
00:36:14.260 world. There are plenty of types of dictatorship. The one in Cuba is a socialist dictator. It's a
00:36:20.920 communist dictatorship. You say it's like the North Korea. What kind of dictatorship is that one,
00:36:25.160 Lawrence? Well, no. You see, the reason that the dictatorship stayed in power is because of the
00:36:30.060 United States' punitive economic policies because we won't trade with Cuba. Okay. So you're saying if
00:36:35.460 we start trading with Cuba quite a lot, then the political regime will collapse, right?
00:36:39.780 That was the argument for China. The argument for bringing China into the economic mainstream,
00:36:47.500 bringing China into the World Trade Organization, bringing China to the table and really raising them
00:36:53.340 up as an economic powerhouse was that when you had economic liberalization, the communist regime
00:36:59.560 would fall. That was what we were told. The Chinese Communist Party today is stronger than it has ever been
00:37:06.720 before. Domestically and internationally, by the way. It flopped. It failed. This was a policy pushed
00:37:12.660 especially by Joe Biden. There's lots of clips of Joe Biden claiming, making the prediction that when
00:37:17.480 you bring China into the World Trade Organization, for instance, when you rise up China, it's going to
00:37:21.480 be great for every country and it's going to give more political freedom to the Chinese people.
00:37:26.540 China just invaded Hong Kong. There's no political freedom there anymore. China's about to invade
00:37:30.620 Taiwan. It's going to aggress on all of the other places in the South China Sea.
00:37:35.160 They've got a social credit system in there. They're committing a genocide in one of their
00:37:39.280 provinces. China's communist dictatorship is stronger than ever. It is not because we're not
00:37:45.160 trading with Cuba that the people are suffering. It's because of the system itself. When the Cuban
00:37:50.520 people are screaming, libertad, libertad, you can either believe them or you can believe Lawrence
00:37:55.940 O'Donnell. You can either believe the people who are calling out for these sorts of things,
00:38:00.940 not just in Cuba, but in the United States too, or you can, or you can believe the minority, tiny
00:38:06.780 ruling elite, the liberal establishment, people who are using people like Lawrence O'Donnell as
00:38:12.680 mouthpieces. The liberal establishment in our country and the ruling establishment in governments
00:38:20.780 around the world, in Cuba, in China, elsewhere, have no faith in people. Obviously, the Cuban
00:38:32.820 dictatorship has no faith in the Cuban people. That's why they don't give them any political
00:38:35.960 power and they suppress them. Obviously, that's true in China, but it's also true in the United
00:38:41.720 States. They're not as successful in the United States because we still have some semblance of a
00:38:47.700 constitutional government, but it is being chipped away at every day. Most recent example. Well, we
00:38:53.520 talked about the Texans, obviously. The Texas Democratic legislators have such little faith in
00:38:58.440 the people of Texas that they actually violated the law so that they wouldn't have to carry out the
00:39:02.560 job that the people of Texas sent them to do, namely to defend election integrity. Kamala Harris
00:39:09.240 at the federal level is saying this. The reason that we need to federalize the elections, the reason
00:39:14.220 that we need to upend our constitutional system and take away safeguards for elections, the reason
00:39:20.180 that you're not allowed to require an ID to vote is because it's, quote, almost impossible for rural
00:39:28.620 Americans to in any way prove that they are who they say they are. They can't even go make a photocopy.
00:39:34.040 Is agreeing to voter ID one of those compromises that you'd support? I don't think that we should
00:39:41.080 underestimate what that could mean. Because in some people's mind, that means, well, you're going to
00:39:50.780 have to Xerox or photocopy your ID to send it in to prove you are who you are. Well, there are a whole
00:40:00.060 lot of people, especially people who live in rural communities who don't, there's no kinkos, there's
00:40:04.220 no office max near them. People have to understand that when we're talking about voter ID laws,
00:40:10.400 be clear about who you have in mind and what would be required of them to prove who they are.
00:40:17.160 Of course, people have to prove who they are, but not in a way that makes it almost impossible for them
00:40:23.560 to prove who they are. It's almost impossible. Those, those dopes, those idiots, who, you know,
00:40:30.600 those rube, unwashed deplorables who don't live in New York and San Francisco, which by the way,
00:40:37.820 are much filthier places than anywhere in the middle of the country. You know, the unwashed masses,
00:40:42.240 they can't, you expect them to be able to use a Xerox machine? You expect, hold on, you're telling me
00:40:48.580 that they're going to have to go find a photocopy, which they certainly can, but even if they
00:40:53.640 couldn't, you're telling me then if there's no photocopy machine within a hundred miles of the
00:40:58.400 people in rural America, they're going to go, they're going to need to have a printer. You know,
00:41:02.780 that technology that's been around for like 40 years, they're not going to, they're, they're going
00:41:07.340 to have to do that. You can get for like 20 bucks. They're going to have to be able to take a photo of
00:41:15.600 their ID on their phones that they all have and then, and then produce it somehow, like on a piece
00:41:22.060 of paper. Can't expect that. Can't expect that of them. They're too stupid to do that. They're too
00:41:27.640 stupid and poor and dumb and deplorable. And that is why we need to federalize all of the elections
00:41:34.680 and take away all the safeguards. I'd love to, she, she does this thing that politicians used to do,
00:41:41.320 you know, more so than now where they, it's that Bill Clinton thing of, well, I support the,
00:41:45.500 opinion of the majority, but I really sympathize with the minority. You know, like, uh, you know,
00:41:51.700 he just tries to have his cake and eat it too, have a cigar and smoke it too. So she's trying to do this
00:41:58.020 and she says, of course you need to be able to prove you are who you say you are, but not in a
00:42:02.360 way that's almost impossible to almost, there, there is no simpler way than photocopying your ID.
00:42:10.740 I'm not saying you have to send your physical ID and not saying you need to go get a new ID,
00:42:13.800 not saying just, you know, just like any proof that the, the only less onerous way of submitting
00:42:19.560 voter ID would be like scribbling your name in a crayon on the back of the ballot of the mail-in
00:42:24.380 ballot, which by the way, we shouldn't even have those, but she doesn't have any, any faith in the
00:42:29.220 people. And she also, she also, by the way, doesn't have faith that she would win elections
00:42:33.300 if we had even the most basic ballot measures. Now, speaking of rural Americans, we got some good news.
00:42:37.920 Joe Biden has been pushing a farm program that explicitly would discriminate against white
00:42:44.400 farmers. The farm program, which we covered when it, when it was first proposed, would
00:42:51.280 offer major grants for, quote, socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers defined as black, Indian,
00:43:00.340 feather, not dot, or Alaskan native, Hispanic, Asian, or Hawaiian Pacific Islander. And so it would,
00:43:05.640 it would get, just basically give away money to, to those kinds of farmers, but it would require
00:43:11.140 farm, white farmers to pay back certain loans. And so it's obviously illegal, obviously deeply racist
00:43:18.040 and bigoted. A third judge just struck that down. U.S. District Judge Thomas Anderson of the Western
00:43:23.500 District of Tennessee issued a preliminary injunction to stop the Biden Agriculture Department
00:43:28.280 from delivering these race-based loan payments.
00:43:32.920 Good news. I'm glad, this is why I say it's not, when I point out eerie comparisons between the ruling
00:43:39.460 elite and tinpot dictatorships like Cuba and here in the United States, I do want to point out, it's not
00:43:45.800 that bad yet. There is still some semblance of constitutional government. There's still some semblance
00:43:49.820 of law and order. The problem is that the left is doing its best to undermine them, to upend all of the
00:43:55.820 traditional standards. At the legal level and at the social level, in the schools especially, there's a
00:44:00.800 really disturbing story out from Wisconsin, Wisconsin School District. A Wisconsin School District is
00:44:06.880 providing sexually explicit books to third graders. Some of the material teaches students how to use sex
00:44:14.180 apps. These are to eight-year-olds, by the way. Now, the way this is being provided is that the school
00:44:22.160 district is offering students access to books and information via an online library that includes books such as
00:44:30.000 This Book is Gay by Juno Dawson, Queer by Kathy Belge and Merck Beesch, and This Book is Gay, by the way,
00:44:36.760 teaches kids how to use Grindr, which is a gay sex app. So what the defenders of this are going to say is,
00:44:42.760 oh, they just have access to it, but they're not being assigned to these sorts of books, right?
00:44:45.940 They shouldn't have access. That's the point. I'm not making an argument for banning and burning
00:44:51.180 books explicitly, okay? Although that sort of practice is looked unfavorably in both the New
00:44:56.060 Testament and by Plato, one of the founders of Western philosophy. But I'm not making that argument,
00:45:02.580 okay, even though Plato famously called for the burning of his opponent's books. My question is
00:45:07.680 much more modest. Should eight-year-olds really be exposed to everything? Is a third-grade classroom
00:45:15.560 really a free marketplace of ideas? I think the very thought that that would be the case
00:45:20.860 would have our founding fathers rolling over in their graves. Something tells me the majority of
00:45:25.740 people do not support explicit creepy sex books for kids or any of this stuff or the crazy racial
00:45:30.900 theories or the crazy gender theories or any of it. I think it's a small minority of ruling elites
00:45:35.520 pushing this stuff. The vast majority of the people don't want it, and the ruling elites
00:45:39.260 are gaslighting it about all of us, which is why we just don't trust them anymore. And Dr. Fauci
00:45:44.160 might be horrified by that, and Jake Tapper might be horrified by that, and the whole ruling elite
00:45:48.140 might be horrified. But guess what? It's their fault, and they're not doing very much to increase
00:45:52.740 their credibility. I'm Michael Knowles. It's The Michael Knowles Show. We will get into more tomorrow.
