00:00:37.660
A recession is when your neighbor loses his job.
00:00:48.620
Because every minute that this administration goes on, you are getting poorer.
00:00:56.380
Wages are stagnating, which may explain why rural Democrats are running away from their party affiliation
00:01:04.160
and why the establishment media are furious at the DAILYWIRE for telling you the truth.
00:01:20.740
My favorite comment yesterday from Lawnmower Man, who says,
00:01:24.020
It's easier to fool people than it is to convince them that they've been fooled.
00:01:31.220
This is true because to convince someone that they've been fooled, you have to weaken their pride.
00:01:36.900
And you have to get them to admit that they got something wrong.
00:01:41.240
Whereas to fool people, you don't need to do any of that.
00:01:43.380
You can actually appeal to their pride, which is why so many people get duped.
00:01:46.840
But you can't dupe all the people all the time, as we're learning right now.
00:01:50.700
And the most tangible way to see this is with the inflation.
00:02:04.760
And when inflation is a concern, you might want to invest in physical gold.
00:02:09.600
Acre Gold will let you start investing in physical gold for as little as $30.
00:02:16.520
Don't lie to me like all the establishment media have been lying to me.
00:02:21.280
But Michael, you say, physical gold costs more than $30.
00:02:25.800
Acre has figured out an ingenious way for you to start investing in physical gold.
00:02:34.100
When your gold stash reaches the price of their gold bars,
00:02:37.140
they will discreetly ship Acre Gold to your door.
00:02:41.020
You've got a physical asset that tends to be a very good hedge on inflation,
00:02:48.160
I have really enjoyed investing in physical precious metals,
00:02:59.160
Make sure you go to that URL because Acre is giving away a gold bar.
00:03:04.600
then you've got to tweet why you should be the recipient.
00:03:08.140
And you've got to mention at get underscore Acre.
00:03:13.040
And thank you, Acre Gold, for supporting the show.
00:03:18.940
This is from a Washington Post reporter, Heather Long,
00:03:39.960
which I've noticed having been on the road for the past few days.
00:03:45.940
Moving expenses, it's like when you need to flee.
00:03:56.720
one of the great constellations of life, 8.4% up.
00:04:21.900
Now, the inflation wouldn't matter if wages were rising as well.
00:04:36.300
Wages have not gained since Biden became president.
00:04:40.680
you had the first real wage gains in a very, very long time.
00:04:46.080
And under Biden, that has completely stalled out.
00:04:48.420
So, obviously, the Biden administration trying to downplay all of this.
00:04:52.580
They told us, do you remember on the 4th of July,
00:04:55.340
they said, you better thank Joe Biden this year.
00:05:07.880
So, when you're buying your hot dogs and your hamburgers and your beer
00:05:11.520
and your fireworks and your iced tea and your lawn chairs,
00:05:18.400
And then you got in your car and spent 45% more on gasoline.
00:05:23.520
You saved 16 cents and then you spent 45% more on gasoline.
00:05:30.040
Obviously, the conservative policies are working way, way better here.
00:05:34.020
The proof of the pudding is in the tasting because from the liberal establishment,
00:05:38.900
you are not going to hear that things are worse under Joe Biden.
00:05:45.720
Occasionally, a reporter will go out there and that's not great.
00:05:55.700
However, Disney is also moving 2,000 jobs from California to Florida.
00:06:01.760
Because Florida has a climate that's conducive to business.
00:06:04.680
Florida has a climate that's conducive to our constitutional rights.
00:06:07.400
Florida lets people out in the open to walk around and go to church and go to their jobs
00:06:17.720
Even if you're vaccinated, you've still got to wear the masks now.
00:06:23.520
But when it comes down to brass tacks, they're going to move their jobs to Florida.
00:06:28.000
Wall Street executives are moving their jobs from New York to Florida.
00:06:31.920
Goldman Sachs, among other firms, are now looking at moving offices to the Sunshine State.
00:06:41.740
Everyone will say, DeSantis is doing a bad job.
00:06:53.000
This is why the establishment media are so furious at us.
00:07:00.080
This is truly my favorite article that I have seen in months.
00:07:09.680
How Ben Shapiro is using Facebook to build an empire.
00:07:14.040
I'll read you just the first paragraph or so here.
00:07:21.080
The conservative podcast host and author's personal Facebook page has more followers than
00:07:26.300
And he drives an engagement machine unparalleled by anything else on the world's biggest social
00:07:31.140
An NPR analysis of social media data found that over the past year, stories published
00:07:35.200
by the site Shapiro found at the Daily Wire received more likes, shares, and comments
00:07:40.420
on Facebook than any other news publisher by a wide margin.
00:07:45.760
Even legacy news organizations that have broken major stories or produced groundbreaking
00:07:56.420
I'd like to translate this article for you if you want.
00:07:59.400
If you want to know the subtext of this article, it's this.
00:08:17.060
They don't trust us anymore, but they do trust Shapiro and Knowles and Klayman and Boring
00:08:27.040
So, first of all, they're ceding to us that we are way better at talking to people than
00:08:34.360
And they grant to us that people are more inclined to believe what we have to say than
00:08:38.840
what they have to say and to engage in what we're talking about than what they're talking
00:08:44.960
And they go on and they cite a bunch of lib professors and things like that.
00:08:48.140
And they say they're monetizing outrage and hate and anger.
00:08:53.500
I actually think this is a rather reasonable, balanced program.
00:08:57.360
You know, we make fun of them, obviously, but we tell you exactly what point of view
00:09:01.000
I like to think that we also present the best arguments from the other side and then explain
00:09:06.240
But compared to CNN, compared to MSNBC, compared to the New York Times, I think we do way more
00:09:11.720
I think we are way more fair than any of those guys are.
00:09:14.560
And by the way, they, generally speaking, won't even come out with their biases.
00:09:23.580
The New York Times, all the news that's fit to print.
00:09:25.800
It's really all the news that fits the narrative.
00:09:32.960
Are you telling me that CNN doesn't focus on outrage?
00:09:37.200
CNN, for the Trump presidency, had a COVID death count that was constantly going.
00:09:42.740
You don't really see that quite so much under the Biden administration.
00:09:45.700
CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post would just make up stories.
00:09:50.200
They would just make them up about Donald Trump colluding with the Ruskies.
00:09:55.280
They would sensationalize stories about Donald Trump with prostitutes in Moscow based on
00:10:05.960
The Daily Wire does not monetize outrage anywhere in the same stratosphere as the New York Times
00:10:12.840
and CNN and the Washington Post and NPR, apparently.
00:10:17.820
And by the way, when we do focus on outrages, they are legitimate outrages, not totally cooked
00:10:30.520
Is it because we're so handsome and so wonderful and so great?
00:10:35.880
And I say this with no false modesty, I think the reason that the Daily Wire is doing better
00:10:41.180
in terms of engagement with real people is because the establishment media blew their
00:10:46.600
credibility and they lied to the people and they lied, lied, lied, lied, lied, and eventually
00:10:52.900
And then the Daily Wire has done our best to get it right.
00:10:56.920
And you know, sometimes we get it wrong, like everyone sometimes gets it wrong.
00:10:59.740
But we haven't just lied and pushed a liberal establishment propaganda, Pravda message down
00:11:08.220
And so people respond well to that, certainly on the right, but also in the middle and even
00:11:14.860
That's what I think they're really, they're not upset at Ben Shapiro and they're not upset
00:11:21.480
They should be upset with themselves for tarnishing their own credibility.
00:11:25.220
The proof of this thesis, the proof that I'm right about this, is that outside of the media
00:11:31.000
in elected politics, Democrats in rural areas are not even acknowledging that they're Democrats
00:11:38.400
Which would make sense to me, you know, that the old days where the Democratic Party was
00:11:46.200
Okay, we've got a very polarized time right now.
00:11:48.940
If you want to remember the good old days, one thing I would suggest, paint your life.
00:11:57.240
When I first heard about them, they decided to come onto the podcast.
00:12:03.040
You send in a photo or multiple photos, a world-class artist will create an actual painting.
00:12:08.140
I prefer the oil paintings, but there are other kinds too.
00:12:10.960
From those photos, you get to work with them the whole way.
00:12:16.060
And I thought, you know, I bet it's just not going to be that good.
00:12:19.700
The first time I tried it, I gave one to my stepbrother.
00:12:22.900
I said, I wanted to see because if it wasn't any good, then he would have to put it on his wall.
00:12:38.500
It can be of a loved one, of a favorite place, of a pet.
00:12:45.900
If you don't love the final painting, your money is refunded, guaranteed, but you're going to love it.
00:12:49.780
Right now, as a limited offer, you can get 20% off your painting.
00:12:56.240
To get that special offer, text Michael to 64000.
00:13:11.800
The Democratic Party knows that as a matter of popularity, right now, it is losing.
00:13:18.660
I don't think there's any two ways around that.
00:13:21.040
They might still win elections and they might still dominate the media because they have,
00:13:25.540
they got rid of a lot of election integrity measures and they dominate the institutions that exist.
00:13:30.860
But as a matter of popularity, I think they know they're losing.
00:13:33.440
The proof of this is Democrats in rural areas are running away from the Democratic Party.
00:13:40.160
There was, there are a number of candidates in Ohio and elsewhere who in one minute, two minute,
00:13:48.320
even three minute campaign ads will never mention that they are Democrats.
00:13:55.660
This is because Democrats in the House right now have a very, very thin majority.
00:14:00.180
And the polling looks absolutely devastating for them in 2022.
00:14:05.880
So people ask me, I was actually just speaking to a congresswoman friend of mine here at TPUSA.
00:14:14.780
She said, everyone in Congress, everyone in politics thinks that the Republicans are going to crush it in 2022.
00:14:21.160
Now, my only caveat to this is, if we don't resolve the election issues, the use of widespread mail-ins,
00:14:28.880
the failure to clean up the voter rolls and purge people who are not eligible to vote,
00:14:32.980
the motor voter laws and the ballot harvesting, and the list goes on and on and on,
00:14:38.040
then I'm not so sure that Republicans are going to do great in 2022.
00:14:42.100
I think in order to do really well in 2022, we need to be able to rely on the integrity of our elections.
00:14:47.260
And increasingly, we can't do that because last cycle, the Democrats got rid of some of the most important election integrity measures.
00:14:54.660
And then this cycle, Republicans are trying to put them back in place.
00:14:57.680
The measures that we had in most places, even three years ago, and Democrats rather, are saying, this is a return to Jim Crow.
00:15:04.880
They're trying to federalize the elections to make permanent the radical changes they made with COVID as the excuse.
00:15:13.040
However, it just shows you something we've been talking about for a long time, which is the disparity between ordinary Americans, the people, and the ruling class.
00:15:22.780
This is a frequent rhetorical tool that is used by both parties, you know, where they talk about the elites and the regular people.
00:15:33.900
I'm not just using some cheap rhetorical trick.
00:15:36.160
On issues that are very, very important, the vast majority of Americans are on one side of the issue and the ruling class is on the other.
00:15:44.360
The vast majority of Americans wants to reduce immigration.
00:15:47.860
The majority of Americans wants to reduce even legal immigration.
00:15:50.520
But certainly when you get to illegal immigration, it isn't even close.
00:15:53.980
And yet the ruling class, mostly Democrats, but some Republicans as well, the Chamber of Commerce type of Republicans, they don't want to do anything about it.
00:16:03.240
On the issue of voter ID, the vast majority of Americans support voter ID.
00:16:12.100
The vast majority of Americans don't want to cram radical gender theory down everybody's throats.
00:16:17.480
On the critical race theory stuff, the vast majority of Americans don't want this in their schools.
00:16:23.080
So there's a huge disparity here between the people and the elites who control the institutions.
00:16:28.580
And so I think they know that they're losing as a matter of popularity.
00:16:31.220
The only question is, have they wrested enough power from the American people that that will not matter?
00:16:36.160
Speaking of regimes that have taken too much power from the people, Cuba continues to find itself in turmoil because the people are protesting the communist regime that has existed there for 60 years.
00:16:53.640
And actually, another Washington Post reporter, again, every so often you'll get one or two from WAPO or New York Times or somewhere else who report the news as they see it.
00:17:02.440
This is not now the position of the editorial boards of those papers.
00:17:08.080
This is not the strategy that is generally pursued by the papers anymore.
00:17:11.000
But still, every once in a while, you get a good reporter.
00:17:12.680
So a reporter from The Washington Post said the quiet part out loud.
00:17:16.340
He said that AOC will not attack the communist regime because, broadly, she agrees with it.
00:17:21.400
We're just talking about how progressives are really happy about all of the things in the infrastructure bill.
00:17:26.660
They are really being led in many ways by the progressive wing of their party.
00:17:30.840
And the progressive wing of the Democratic Party does not want to go hard against Cuba, against some of the things that the Castro regime may have been a part of,
00:17:40.820
in part because there are some Democrats, there are some progressives who agree with some of those things.
00:17:47.000
They agree with some of the programs that were in place in a more socialist kind of society.
00:17:57.920
She identifies with the ideology of, or the very near ideology, of the dominant regime in Cuba.
00:18:04.880
This is true of a number of other Democrat members of Congress.
00:18:07.780
And the American left, broadly, has never apologized for its support of communism, its overt support of communism in the papers and in the government and on the campaign trail, which went on for about 100 years.
00:18:22.080
The American left has never apologized for supporting the Soviet Union, for instance.
00:18:26.680
Actually, what they did is, last election cycle, as we saw, they just accused the Republicans of colluding with Russia.
00:18:33.900
The Democrats colluded with Russia for 100 years, but then they started accusing the Republicans of colluding with Russia.
00:18:42.020
Most prominent Democrats from the 20th century would be in prison.
00:18:52.300
We played those clips from Bernie Sanders yesterday.
00:18:54.220
Bernie Sanders has been a huge supporter of the Castro regime in Cuba and of communists elsewhere.
00:18:59.000
Bernie did his honeymoon in the Soviet Union, and he's just remained basically silent on the Cuba issue because he knows that the reality of the situation is contradicting his crazy theories.
00:19:12.700
Even beyond this very abstract idea of communism and free markets and things like that, look at what's going on on the ground.
00:19:21.180
Right now, around our country, crime is going through the roof.
00:19:27.420
Not just shootings, not just murders, which are way, way up in places like Chicago, but look over in D.C.
00:19:32.540
Just carjackings are up, and they're not up a little bit.
00:19:36.820
You see those inflation numbers, and you say, wow, 87.7% up on car rentals, 45% up on gas.
00:19:44.560
Well, carjackings are up in D.C., not 5%, not 10%.
00:19:52.140
There are people now who are calling for bait cars to be placed to finally lure some of these criminals in.
00:19:59.120
They just had a press conference with the police in D.C. to figure out how to in any way impede this huge spike in crime.
00:20:07.580
Chief, I want to ask you real quick about the recent carjackings.
00:20:11.680
Why are you not using bait cars to catch carjackers?
00:20:15.440
We used one a couple years ago, and with your officer's help, actually caught two suspects and prosecuted.
00:20:22.640
Over the last couple of hours, over the last couple of hours, the last 12 hours, we had a significant spree of robberies that have occurred across our city.
00:20:34.000
I'm happy to report, within the last hour, we've located the vehicle.
00:20:39.120
We didn't need a bait car to necessarily do that.
00:20:43.780
Most recently, in the 2nd District, they use it.
00:20:46.620
But we want to make sure that the tactic certainly works for the specific crime that we happen to be targeting at that particular time.
00:20:53.480
Well, now, we didn't have to use a bait car because the guy stole someone's car.
00:21:00.000
We want to make sure the tactics are calibrated to the communities.
00:21:03.260
And I have great sympathy for this guy because the reason you've got 74% increase in carjackings,
00:21:10.120
the reason you've got 50% increase in shootings and murders in Chicago, it's not complicated.
00:21:14.240
It's not because of just natural fluxes organically.
00:21:19.460
It's because the Democrats spent well over a year saying we need to abolish the police.
00:21:25.900
And then they actually did defund the police in a lot of places.
00:21:28.420
And then they threw a bunch of police officers in prison for just doing their jobs.
00:21:39.360
The genius egghead analysts at the New York Times and the Washington Post,
00:21:49.100
They're going to blame the abstract fluxes of history.
00:21:52.800
But they're not going to blame what every ordinary American knows.
00:21:56.820
Namely, if you incentivize crime and you punish law enforcement,
00:22:03.880
you're going to get more crime and you're going to get less law enforcement.
00:22:08.780
And I suppose the American people always sort of knew this.
00:22:11.940
But what the liberal establishment, I guess, is seeing right now with the inflation,
00:22:17.160
with the crime, with the pushback against their policies is that eventually the bill comes due.
00:22:28.400
So you print money and you print money and you print money and you give people a bunch of money
00:22:32.200
for free and you tell them to stay in their homes and not to do anything.
00:22:38.600
You get criminals burning down the country for a year and you punish the people who are
00:22:45.160
trying to stop them from doing that and you let the ones who do that off the hook.
00:22:50.720
You're going to get more people burning stuff down.
00:22:52.260
You're getting actually in America's hat right now in Canada.
00:22:55.040
You're getting more and more churches being burned to the ground and there's no enforcement.
00:23:00.420
I do not support a view of politics that is primarily economic.
00:23:09.580
That of sophisters, economists, and calculators has succeeded it and the glory of Europe is
00:23:15.440
But there are some basic economic lessons here.
00:23:17.860
It's really just basic lessons of human nature.
00:23:28.600
You notice places where COVID is spiking tend to have a lot of one group of people, one
00:23:38.740
group of people that are not supposed to be in this country, one group of people who
00:23:44.780
The illegal immigration problem, the illegal immigration problem shows you what a farce
00:23:52.920
Because we are told that if we leave our homes without 20 masks and 15 jabs of an experience
00:23:58.600
environmental drug, then we're killing everybody.
00:24:01.300
And yet, we have already let 1 million foreign nationals, very few of whom have been tested
00:24:12.260
So you can't go to school, but you can come from Guatemala and just go anywhere and we have
00:24:24.820
And that ain't Ben Shapiro's fault and that ain't the Daily Wire's fault.
00:24:27.540
That is the fault of the liberal establishment.
00:24:31.260
You know, Senator Cruz is really, really good on this issue.
00:24:35.580

The irony, I think, maybe not the irony, I guess it's just the coincidence, it's probably
00:25:52.300
The NPR comes out and attacks us on the very day that we launched a direct challenger to
00:25:58.540
NPR, which is called The Morning Wire, hosted by Daily Wire editor-in-chief John Bickley and
00:26:05.820
Morning Wire, very quickly, will just give you the facts.
00:26:09.640
We'll give you right in the morning the most important news developments, set your news
00:26:15.320
cycle for the day, tell you what matters and why it matters.

You can subscribe to Morning Wire on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Google Play, MySpace,
00:26:25.320

00:26:28.640
Also, Ben Shapiro's new book is hitting bookshelves next Tuesday, July 27th.
00:26:36.320
Very, very important that you order my book, Speechless, before that happens.
00:26:42.320
And then you can pre-order Ben's book, The Authoritarian Moment, which is really, really
00:26:47.540
important because that will be my campaign slogan in some years.
00:26:52.760
That way, when I run for office, you can cut out the front flap and you can put it on your
00:26:57.860
t-shirt and you can say, Knowles, 2028, The Authoritarian Moment.
00:27:01.400
You can head on over right now to get a signed copy of Ben's book at dailywire.com slash Ben.
00:27:06.880
You will be asked to type a question in at checkout that you want him to answer during
00:27:16.980
You will hear from the establishment media that there's a spike in coronavirus cases in
00:27:34.700
Now, remember, by the way, when Texas ended its mask mandate many months ago, we were told
00:27:40.520
there's going to be a huge spike in cases, in deaths.
00:27:43.640
Beto O'Rourke said this will be a death sentence for Texans.
00:27:51.800
So in the period of time where you would have expected COVID to spike, it didn't happen.
00:27:59.680
Senator Cruz, the senator from Texas, has a crazy, wild conspiracy theory on what that might
00:28:07.420
be that the establishment media doesn't want to tell you.
00:28:09.760
You're packing children into cages with a lot of them having COVID and more of them
00:28:15.700
And the Biden administration is ignoring the law and releasing into our communities people
00:28:20.780
that have COVID, most of whom are coming across this border who are not vaccinated.
00:28:25.740
And right now, Biden is talking about ending Title 42, which is the health protection that
00:28:31.280
says we're not going to release people carrying potentially communicable diseases.
00:28:35.700
So yes, you better believe the rising COVID rates are due in significant part to illegal
00:28:42.580
aliens that the Biden administration is releasing in Texas that have COVID rates seven times higher
00:28:50.800
And we need to stop being boneheaded and ignoring the science, which is what the Biden administration
00:29:00.120
I mean, if you've got COVID cases spiking a few weeks after you had 188,000 illegal aliens
00:29:10.160
pour across the border, these are insane record numbers.
00:29:14.200
We're halfway through the year and you've had a million illegal aliens come in already, but
00:29:20.440
And then a few weeks later, you get a spike in COVID cases.
00:29:23.580
This shows you, though, that the COVID madness and the vaccine madness and the lockdowns and
00:29:28.260
the Delta and the Lambda and the Phi Beta Kappa and the mask mandates are less about the virus,
00:29:36.340
less about the public health, and much more about the imposition of the rules.
00:29:42.600
This was an observation that Angelo Cotevilla made about political correctness.
00:29:49.660
He said that political correctness is less about the words that you need to use.
00:29:53.020
And more about the imposition of the words and who gets to impose those words.
00:29:59.500
If COVID were really the greatest threat in the entire world that everyone tells us it is,
00:30:03.860
the liberal establishment that's pushing that narrative would shut down the border.
00:30:11.480
Because COVID is not nearly as great a risk as they pretend that it is.
00:30:15.880
The only really grave risk it poses at the national level is to our traditional political order.
00:30:23.020
But Dr. Fauci, Dr. Fauci, is, you know, it's so funny.
00:30:30.560
Charlie Kirk really knows how to put on a great show because this was thousands and thousands of
00:30:37.080
You walk out, it's pyrotechnics, and it's really an impressive show.
00:30:45.020
And then we're taking questions from the audience.
00:30:46.680
And one of the questions was, Michael, can you do a Dr. Fauci impression?
00:30:50.320
So I rattled off a bit of a Fauci impression, got a standing ovation.
00:30:53.400
And I thought, this is the only time ever that conservatives are going to give a standing
00:30:58.080
ovation to Dr. Fauci because they're not applauding Dr. Fauci.
00:31:03.980
Because the man has just made himself into a joke, into a punchline, into a farce.
00:31:08.780
The way that he changes his directives by the hour, not because the science has changed,
00:31:20.680
The way that he has been caught in open lies to us.
00:31:26.080
Well, now Dr. Fauci is going out there, and he is assenting to the idea that if Fox News,
00:31:35.860
If Fox News existed many, many moons ago, why, we never would have eradicated smallpox.
00:31:42.820
Do you think we could have eradicated polio or defeated the measles if you had Fox News
00:31:49.360
night after night warning people about these vaccine issues that are just, you know, bunk?
00:31:59.440
If you look at the extraordinary historic success in eradicating smallpox and eliminating polio
00:32:07.600
from most of the world, and we're on the brink of eradicating polio, if we had had the pushback
00:32:14.340
for vaccines the way we're seeing on certain media, I don't think it would have been possible
00:32:21.280
at all to not only eradicate smallpox, we probably would still have smallpox, and we probably would
00:32:27.740
still have polio in this country if we had the kind of false information that's being spread now.
00:32:34.820
If we had that back decades ago, I would be certain that we'd still have polio in this country.
00:32:40.580
The most prominent spreader of false information in the United States right now is Dr. Fauci.
00:32:47.380
Don't wear the mask. Wear the mask. We won't get a vaccine. We got a vaccine. It won't be that
00:32:53.080
effective. It's very effective. It's up and down and left and right and wear the mask, sheep.
00:32:59.000
Wear the mask. What Dr. Fauci says, and he wants to keep sort of more neutral tones,
00:33:04.580
so he lets Acosta do this dirty work for him, right? You get the liberal news anchor who says,
00:33:10.580
if we had Fox News, do you think that would have permitted us to eradicate bad diseases?
00:33:17.240
Well, no, I don't. And actually, even worse diseases we'd probably still have.
00:33:23.620
So Fauci won't name Fox News. Fauci talks about misinformation, which he's using as a synonym
00:33:28.220
for Fox News, which he's using as a symbol of all of the conservative media. But you know what?
00:33:34.380
People believe the conservative media. Most notably of all, they believe the Daily Wire,
00:33:40.040
and they engage with the Daily Wire, not because we're such special guys. I like to think we're
00:33:45.460
very special guys. But because the other outlets have beclowned themselves and have lied. And so
00:33:53.200
now they're looking to us. And Fauci is very upset about that. Well, Fauci, if you wanted people to
00:33:57.520
listen to you, you know what you could have done? Not lied to them for a year. 15 days to slow the
00:34:03.360
spread. Oh, those stupid idiots. Those people wearing the masks. They think 15 days. And then
00:34:12.040
what's he do? 15 months later, he's just 15 more days. Believe old Dr. Fauci. Why won't they believe
00:34:17.640
me anymore? Because you lie to them. That's why. That's why they don't believe you. The liberal
00:34:22.260
establishment does not have a ton of credibility on biology at the moment, actually. The International
00:34:30.060
Olympic Committee has just made a final decision on whether or not giant hulking dudes should be
00:34:38.060
permitted to compete against women at tests of brute strength. In an earlier time, this would
00:34:46.840
not have been a difficult question. But now it is a difficult question. So there is a New Zealand
00:34:51.060
weightlifter, a fellow by the name of Laurel Hubbard. I don't know his real name, but he now goes by
00:34:57.060
Laurel. And he was a male weightlifter who competed against other men, and he didn't do very well there.
00:35:04.400
And then he transitioned to make himself look more like a woman. Now he competes against women,
00:35:08.860
and he beats them all the time. So the question was, is this fella permitted to compete against
00:35:13.580
women? The IOC says, absolutely. He became the first transgender woman, also known as a man,
00:35:22.580
to qualify for the Olympics. At 43 years old, he qualified in the 87-kilogram category. I don't
00:35:30.020
know how much that is because I'm an American and I use real measurements, but everything's trans now.
00:35:35.220
You know, the genders, the weight measurements. He already received support about competing as a woman
00:35:41.580
in the competitions, but the president of the IOC reiterated this, gave a final decision on Saturday.
00:35:48.900
So what that means is, the women's weightlifting competition doesn't mean anything anymore. Because if a
00:35:56.200
woman's weightlifting competition is going to mean anything, it has to be for women. So if men can
00:36:02.700
compete in that, it's no longer the women's weightlifting competition. And the egghead geniuses,
00:36:09.120
all our benevolent bettors, they all are applauding this. There's about seven of those people in the
00:36:15.280
country. No, it's more than that, but there aren't very many of them. Whereas the majority of, not
00:36:20.100
just the American people, but the majority of the people in New Zealand, the majority of people around
00:36:23.520
the world are looking at this, not just with their eyebrows cocked, but looking at this like the
00:36:29.240
president of the IOC and every other liberal egghead who's pro-transgenderism has lost their minds.
00:36:35.740
Because they obviously have lost their minds. No one believes this stuff. And yet, because the
00:36:43.520
elites, just by definition, I guess, have this sort of power, because the radicals have attained
00:36:48.380
positions of power, they can push it through, even over the objections of the majority of people.
00:36:54.160
And this logic of transgenderism is leading to something that is really, to my mind, absolutely
00:36:59.420
disgusting. This is leading to calls among prominent Senate Democrats to force women to
00:37:07.600
register for the draft. This story is not getting a lot of coverage. Politico did just report on it,
00:37:15.460
though. Senate Democrats are proposing a sweeping rewrite of the military draft laws to require
00:37:20.560
women to register for the selective service system, according to a draft, a draft of the report,
00:37:25.720
authored by Senate Armed Services Chairman Jack Reed, which was obtained by Politico.
00:37:31.640
This would be attached to the National Defense Authorization Act, a defense policy bill that is
00:37:36.100
one of the few pieces that is considered a must-pass by Congress. So they're going to try to ram it in
00:37:40.640
to some legislation that Congress is just going to have to pass so that they can get this through.
00:37:48.540
I do not want to live in a country that requires women to fight our wars for us.
00:37:54.960
I do not want to live in that country. It is just wrong. Now, I see how we got to this point.
00:38:01.320
A lot of people are going to say, well, this is just too far, or this is crazy, or this is, but
00:38:05.800
no. This is the logic of the last 50 years. The logic of second wave feminism, or I am sorry,
00:38:12.840
the premise of second wave feminism, is that women and men are basically the same. Sure,
00:38:16.940
they look a little different, but hey, a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle,
00:38:20.520
as Gloria Steinem said. The differences between men and women are purely superficial.
00:38:25.920
Women can do anything men can do, and how dare you say otherwise? Well, okay, if that's true,
00:38:30.780
if men and women are basically exactly the same, then surely the homosexual rights movement,
00:38:38.540
as it was once called, is going to go through. No, well, of course, because men and women are
00:38:43.200
exactly the same. Surely the redefinition of marriage, which was the apotheosis of that
00:38:48.460
movement, has to go through, because men and women are exactly the same. So if men and women are the
00:38:52.880
same, then your argument that marriage is the union between one man and one woman falls apart.
00:38:59.420
Because men and women are the same. So then I guess it could be the union of one man and one man,
00:39:02.560
or one woman and one woman. And if that's true, then the logic of transgenderism has to hold.
00:39:07.380
Because if men and women are basically the same, then Bruce Jenner certainly can become Caitlyn,
00:39:10.900
because those differences are just superficial. Get a little nip tuck here, throw on some stilettos
00:39:15.560
and a little bit of lipstick, and there you have it. Bruce is Caitlyn. And frankly, he didn't even
00:39:21.340
need to do that. He could have just said he's a woman, as many people do now, and that would have
00:39:25.900
been perfectly fine. And if men and women are exactly the same, then of course women need to
00:39:32.260
register for the draft. It would be unfair, it would be unjust if only men registered for selective
00:39:39.600
service. And the problem with all of that is, it's all false. It's based on a false premise.
00:39:46.380
Men and women are different. This is the fundamental distinction in human nature.
00:39:51.180
Men and women are not identical. They are complementary. They go together.
00:39:57.020
Like love and marriage, like horse and carriage. You can't have one without the other in society.
00:40:02.560
Right. So, you're going to hear two arguments on this from the right. You're going to hear,
00:40:11.280
and I'm just talking about people who oppose women registering for the draft. You're going to hear
00:40:16.720
two kinds of arguments. One is the egghead arguments. They're going to tell you, well, actually, you know,
00:40:22.980
if you look at certain statistics, and if you look at the levels of testosterone, and the way that,
00:40:28.060
and the bones, and this, and the development, then actually women are not quite suited for the
00:40:33.200
draft, and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Fine. You know, I'm willing to take any argument that
00:40:38.200
persuades anybody, but that to me is not the real argument. I don't even care if some other egghead
00:40:45.260
on the other side could prove that women actually do have the same bone density and the same kind of
00:40:49.700
muscle mass. And actually, they're just as competent in the field in that. I don't care.
00:40:54.260
Right. I don't want to live in that country. Going back to the Edmund Burke quote,
00:40:59.320
when he lamented during the French Revolution that the age of chivalry is gone, and that of
00:41:04.940
sophisters, economists, and calculators has succeeded, and the glory of Europe has extinguished
00:41:08.820
forever. I don't want to live in the world of sophisters, economists, and calculators. I don't
00:41:13.160
care if you can prove to me that by measuring testosterone and bone density, or any other physical
00:41:17.420
feature, that men and women are very, very similar. Men and women are different. And a country
00:41:22.800
that sends its women to fight its wars is an ugly, unchivalrous, uncivilized country.
00:41:29.280
I want to live in a country where men go fight the wars to protect the women, where we have
00:41:34.780
a real complementarity of the sexes, where we actually work together and care for one another,
00:41:40.700
and we don't just all pretend that we're all exactly the same.
00:41:44.320
Speaking of castration, just talking about men pretending to be women, now we can talk about
00:41:53.980
men who have been emasculated in more subtle ways. Prince Harry. Prince Harry is now set to write
00:42:02.940
a memoir about his decision to be led around on a leash by his wife. Very sad for poor Harry.
00:42:09.800
He will release a, quote, wholly truthful memoir about his life in the royal family and his
00:42:17.400
Mexit escape to the United States with Meghan Markle. This, according to the New York Post's
00:42:23.380
page six, which says that Prince Harry's autobiography, first draft of which is nearly
00:42:27.380
complete, is expected to be explosive. And that he will be retelling his life story, quote,
00:42:35.060
not as the prince I was born, but as the man I have become. So pathetic. So pathetic. So
00:42:42.900
womanish. Not womanly. When a woman behaves like a woman, that's womanly. When a man behaves like a
00:42:49.020
woman, that's womanish. Is nothing sacred anymore? Why is he doing this? He said that he was leaving
00:42:58.160
the royal family to live a private life. And we all knew that was ridiculous. We all knew that
00:43:04.380
Meghan Markle, who has begged for attention her entire life, and who was an actress, and who
00:43:10.340
sought after and married a prince, and then she didn't like having to actually do things and
00:43:15.860
fulfill duties and obligations. So then she made a bigger spectacle of herself by pulling the prince
00:43:21.060
away from his family. And now she still takes every opportunity to go on Oprah and to make a big deal
00:43:25.600
about herself. Obviously, they don't want to live a private life. They want to live a very public life
00:43:30.720
without any duty and without any obligation, without any loyalty to their country, to their
00:43:37.120
family, to the British people. And so now he's writing a tell-all to drag the attention party on
00:43:44.540
a little bit longer and to trash his family. This is really ugly stuff. Really, really ugly stuff.
00:43:50.960
But it's a symbol of broader political decay. The reason that the revolutionaries in our culture,
00:43:58.220
the radicals, always want to go after the families because the family is the fundamental
00:44:02.700
political institution. If you can upend that, you can upend everything. That has successfully
00:44:09.420
happened in the United Kingdom. Hope it doesn't happen here. But speaking of men being led astray
00:44:15.100
by women, and speaking of the International Olympic Committee, they are actually doing one thing that
00:44:20.000
is pretty conservative. One thing that is pretty virtuous. The Olympic Committee has decided
00:44:25.580
that the Olympians are not going to get regular beds when they go to Olympic Village. They are going
00:44:32.500
to sleep on beds made of cardboard. Why would they be doing this? They're doing this because
00:44:38.140
every year the Olympians have a ton of sex with each other. And they have, there's always a story about
00:44:48.100
how they've run out of condoms within a few days. There's always a story about how venereal disease is
00:44:52.600
running rampant. And I get why. You've got a bunch of young people who are extremely hot and extremely
00:45:00.560
athletic being brought together from all over the world in this weird sort of summer camp.
00:45:05.480
And that sort of thing is just going to happen, especially in a culture that has pretty loose
00:45:10.020
rules about this stuff. So the Olympic Committee doesn't want this to happen, especially with COVID-19.
00:45:16.380
Forget about syphilis. Forget about chlamydia. They're worried about COVID-19.
00:45:20.020
So they're putting them on cardboard beds, which are, quote, allegedly designed to collapse
00:45:25.800
under the weight of fornicators to discourage sex among, amid COVID-19. They've got 18,000 of
00:45:33.980
these cardboard beds. You know, this is actually something that we could learn from. We all,
00:45:38.300
very often we spend our time trashing the international organizations on this show that
00:45:44.000
enforce the dominant liberal regime. But this is something actually we might be able to learn from.
00:45:48.060
Maybe they should put these in college dorms. You know, nice cardboard beds that the minute you
00:45:52.260
get two people on them, they collapse under the weight of that. That might be one good way to
00:45:56.700
encourage better behavior than people engage in there. Speaking of fornication, too, I have to get
00:46:02.260
to this story. There is evidence from that Peter Schweitzer, who's a very good conservative
00:46:08.840
investigative journalist, that he has discovered, going back to an older New York Post story
00:46:14.220
regarding Hunter Biden's laptop, that Hunter Biden was getting all these sweetheart deals and committing
00:46:18.220
all sorts of crimes. There was the allegation, based on Hunter Biden's messages, that Joe Biden
00:46:23.820
benefited directly from that. Now Peter Schweitzer says he has nailed down evidence that shows
00:46:29.620
Joe Biden directly benefited from Hunter Biden's corruption overseas.
00:46:34.920
If you remember, the Bidens from the beginning have lied and shifted the goalposts. At first,
00:46:41.240
remember, they said, no, there are no foreign deals with the Chinese. That's all fake news.
00:46:46.180
But then when it turned out that, of course, those deals were real, we showed that they were real.
00:46:50.880
They said, well, you know, Joe Biden had no knowledge of those deals. When we showed that
00:46:55.320
Joe Biden had knowledge of those deals, it shifted to, well, he never discussed it with his son.
00:46:59.620
Then when we showed that he discussed it with his son, they shifted to, well, he never directly
00:47:04.820
benefited. What we see from the Hunter Biden laptop, and we do have a copy, by the way, here at GAI
00:47:11.880
of the laptop and all the files. It confirms that Joe Biden was a direct beneficiary. We're in the
00:47:18.780
middle of the investigation now, but by the end of the year, it will be completed and it will take on
00:47:26.460
a far more sinister tone than it has even now in terms of what it says about the Biden family and the
00:47:34.320
vulnerabilities of the Biden family. It's that bad.
00:47:38.080
So this is pretty explosive stuff. If it were just about any other journalist on the right who does
00:47:44.600
these sorts of things, I would say, eh, I don't know. I'm going to hold off. I'm not totally, totally bought
00:47:49.180
into that yet. But Schweitzer is pretty good. And so if he says he's got the goods, then we will await that.
00:47:54.620
I'm not surprised at all. The Biden family has been a machine family now for a long time. I mean, this guy's
00:48:01.420
been an institution in the Democratic Party for 50 years. There's been a lot of evidence of shady deals.
00:48:06.920
He survived in Washington a very long time. So not surprised to see that sort of thing. Speaking of foreign
00:48:12.460
policy, we don't have time to get to it today. But I have to mention, at least, that General Petraeus
00:48:18.480
is now criticizing the, quote unquote, hasty decision to withdraw from Afghanistan. We've been
00:48:25.340
in Afghanistan now for 20 years, but this is considered hasty. This is a war that the American
00:48:30.840
people do not want to be fighting anymore. We don't know what the purpose of this war is.
00:48:34.720
We've been told lots of different things about the purpose of this war, and it's just not. It's just not
00:48:39.020
working out, is it? Just more evidence that on this front, on the inflation front, on the media
00:48:47.820
front, on all of this, eventually the bill is going to come due, okay? And if you mislead the people,
00:48:54.420
and if you stonewall the people, and if you gaslight the people for long enough, they're going to stop
00:48:58.780
believing you. They're going to turn to other people. That's not the fault of those other people,
00:49:02.540
like those of us here at Daily Wire. That's not the fault of the people themselves. That's your fault
00:49:07.880
for lying, and now you've got to pay the price. I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.
