Summary

Transcript

00:00:00.000 Nancy Pelosi's January 6th commission kicked off yesterday with a star performance from one of the
00:00:06.320 two liberal Republicans who agreed to sit on the otherwise entirely Democrat panel.
00:00:11.660 Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, Adam Kinzinger.
00:00:15.960 Thank you, Mr. Chairman, and thank you to my colleagues on the committee.
00:00:20.380 Thank you to our witnesses. I never expected a day to be quite as emotional for me as it has been.
00:00:27.140 And I've talked to a number of you and gotten to know you.
00:00:32.080 I think it's important to tell you right now, though, you guys may like individually feel a little broken.
00:00:40.060 You guys all talk about the effects you have to deal with.
00:00:42.920 And, you know, you talk about the impact of that day.
00:00:47.540 But you guys won.
00:00:50.760 You guys held.
00:00:51.700 You know, democracies are not defined by our bad days.
00:01:01.180 We're defined by how we come back from bad days.
00:01:05.140 How we take accountability for that.
00:01:08.680 And for all the overheated rhetoric surrounding this committee, our mission is very simple.
00:01:16.000 Let's define the truth.
00:01:18.120 And it's to ensure accountability.
00:01:19.420 Encore! Encore, Mr. Chairman!
00:01:23.040 I've got to wipe a tear from my eye.
00:01:24.480 For reaction to Kinzinger's whining, we turn, as usual, to Don Corleone.
00:01:30.100 You can act like a man!
00:01:32.520 What's the matter with you?
00:01:34.740 Is this how you turn down a Hollywood binocchio that cries like a woman?
00:01:40.360 What can I do? What can I do?
00:01:43.280 What is that noise?
00:01:44.880 Ridiculous.
00:01:45.940 Ridiculous. It is ridiculous.
00:01:47.660 Kinzinger's statements were ridiculous.
00:01:49.280 But his womanish clown show was the role to which court jester conservatives, such as he, are best suited in our national drama.
00:01:58.120 I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:01:59.960 Welcome back to the show. My favorite comment yesterday from Escariana, who says,
00:02:11.760 The people saying that you don't need to disclose your HIV results to your sexual partners are the same people saying you're responsible for their health, so you must get vaccinated.
00:02:21.320 Yes, this is true, and it's basically pointless to try to make sense of it.
00:02:27.120 It's not about a uniform standard.
00:02:29.120 It's not even about their hypocrisy.
00:02:31.880 It's hierarchy, as is often said these days.
00:02:35.060 There are just different rules for different people, and you, my friend, if you in any way dissent from the liberal regime, you are on the wrong side of that, and that's just the way it goes.
00:02:44.320 Now, if you want to get strong, if you want to just start feeling a little bit better, and I know everyone's keeping you down, but you want to start feeling better, I would strongly recommend Echelon Fitness.

00:04:09.420 Echelonfit.com slash Knowles.
00:04:11.820 Today, you guys, you, today, you, Adam Kinzinger, really, he didn't, he didn't surprise anyone with his performance, least of all himself.
00:04:23.660 I'm sure he was practicing that one in the mirror, like any ham actor about to get the hook.
00:04:27.620 But, uh, it is worth pointing out that not only were the, the tears preposterous, but the statements that he made were preposterous as well.
00:04:37.800 He said that the Capitol incident in January was an insurrection.
00:04:43.180 It was not an insurrection.
00:04:45.040 The, the way that we know, in part, that this was not, or here's some evidence that this was not an insurrection.
00:04:50.060 The weight of the federal government right now is trying to prosecute anyone who was in any way involved in that day.
00:04:59.940 It's not like BLM where they all get off the hook or most of them get off the hook.
00:05:03.560 Everyone is trying to prosecute these guys to the fullest extent of the law.
00:05:07.500 And yet, no one is being charged with seditious conspiracy.
00:05:11.960 No one is being charged with the crimes associated with insurrection.
00:05:16.860 They're being charged with criminal trespassing.
00:05:19.640 They're being charged with all sorts of things like property damage, theft, but they're not being charged with sedition because the feds can't prove that it was an insurrection because it wasn't.
00:05:30.780 It was a deadly insurrection.
00:05:32.820 Well, it was deadly.
00:05:34.280 One person was killed in the violence of that day.
00:05:38.420 It was a Trump support.
00:05:39.840 It was one of the people who went into the Capitol.
00:05:42.820 So I get, if you're saying that it was a deadly insurrection and that's a terrible thing,
00:05:47.320 then you should be grilling the cops that you otherwise were praising all day because a cop killed a Trump supporter.
00:05:54.140 That was the only, I know that we were told in the aftermath by a bunch of liars in the establishment media
00:06:00.500 and in the establishment, the political establishment like Adam Kinzinger and all of the Democrats,
00:06:05.540 we were told that Officer Brian Sicknick was killed because someone threw a fire extinguisher at his head.
00:06:10.860 That just wasn't true.
00:06:11.700 That was completely made up.
00:06:12.580 He died of natural causes days later.
00:06:15.520 That's what happened.
00:06:17.040 No one else died.
00:06:18.360 Another person died of a drug overdose.
00:06:19.720 Other people died of natural causes.
00:06:21.260 The only person who died in political violence was one of the pro-Trump demonstrators.
00:06:28.740 Okay.
00:06:31.120 This was the worst attack on our democracy since 1812.
00:06:36.380 The political commentator, Yossi Gestetner, had a wonderful thread on this the other day.
00:06:41.260 You probably didn't see it on Twitter because I imagine it was suppressed.
00:06:44.460 He pointed out that the January 6th insurrection, that involved some damage to the Capitol.
00:06:51.700 No question about it.
00:06:53.720 There have been other attacks on the Capitol.
00:06:55.960 It wasn't the worst one since 1812.
00:06:58.860 This is just from his list, from Yossi's list.
00:07:01.520 1954, five congressmen were wounded when four terrorists opened fire in the visitors area.
00:07:07.740 President Carter later commuted their sentences or reduced their sentences.
00:07:10.660 So that seems worse than January 6th, doesn't it?
00:07:13.540 At 1971, a bomb planted by a group of person protesting the Vietnam War, so this would have
00:07:18.520 been a left winger, exploded in the Senate wing of the Capitol, caused extensive damage,
00:07:23.400 thankfully no injuries.
00:07:24.400 That seems worse than January 6th.
00:07:26.020 November 7th, 1983, an explosion tore through the second floor of the Capitol's north wing.
00:07:31.620 The device blew the door off of Democrat leader Robert Byrd's office.
00:07:36.380 Seems worse than January 6th, 1998.
00:07:38.600 Two Capitol police officers, Jacob Chestnut Jr. and John Gibson, died in the line of duty
00:07:43.280 because an armed assailant stormed past the Capitol security checkpoint and he made it into
00:07:47.820 the building where he was shot.
00:07:48.840 Seems worse than January 6th.
00:07:50.340 Before midnight in 1915, police responded to the Capitol where an explosion caused huge
00:07:57.180 damage to the Senate wing.
00:07:59.320 Then in October of 2018, hundreds of leftists stormed the U.S. Senate building during the
00:08:05.740 work of confirming a Supreme Court justice.
00:08:08.820 302 people were arrested by Capitol Hill police.
00:08:12.020 No people were arrested by the federal government.
00:08:14.240 And then last year, in the summer of hate in 2020, when BLM was burning down the country,
00:08:20.160 the president and his family were rushed to the White House bunker as insurrectionists.
00:08:25.540 I guess you got to use the term, right?
00:08:26.780 You got to, if you're going to use the term for the horn guy, certainly you need to use
00:08:29.920 the term for the people who stormed the White House, scaled the fence, and 60 Secret Service
00:08:36.060 agents were wounded in the process.
00:08:38.160 11 of them needing hospitalization for defending the White House.
00:08:42.280 The horn guy comes in, the smiley guy steals Pelosi's podium.
00:08:46.660 That was the worst insurrection in history.
00:08:48.700 But just months prior, people stormed the White House and wound 60 Secret Service agents,
00:08:54.540 11 of them sent to the hospital.
00:08:56.280 That was nothing.
00:08:57.100 That truly, you probably didn't even hear about that.
00:08:59.260 Or you heard very little.
00:09:00.020 Or all you heard from the media were people making fun of President Trump for going into
00:09:03.220 the bunker.
00:09:04.760 So I just don't want to hear it.
00:09:06.340 I don't want to hear it.
00:09:07.100 I never want to hear another word about January 6th.
00:09:10.680 It's compared to other attacks that you've never even heard of.
00:09:14.420 They didn't even make the news, really, or they don't remain in the public consciousness.
00:09:18.640 What happened on January 6th was relatively insignificant.
00:09:23.420 Moreover, moreover, and this is, I think, the big problem that the January 6th commission
00:09:28.700 is having.
00:09:29.100 As the media narrative fades, and as more and more evidence is presented of what actually
00:09:35.020 happened on January 6th, the narrative is falling apart.
00:09:38.980 It's further falling.
00:09:39.780 We were told that these angry, crazy Trump supporters were showing up to the Capitol and
00:09:43.300 throwing things for windows.
00:09:45.180 Meanwhile, what you're seeing is video emerging of Trump supporters coming up to the cops and
00:09:49.740 saying, guys, stop this.
00:09:50.960 There are people who are infiltrating.
00:09:52.480 They're the stuff.
00:09:53.060 We don't like what's going on.
00:09:54.020 Stop.
00:09:54.400 Defend the Capitol.
00:09:55.040 So, obviously, there are a lot of theories about what's going on.
00:10:22.140 Who's breaking into the Capitol?
00:10:22.980 It was Antifa.
00:10:23.800 No, it wasn't.
00:10:24.260 It was the MAGA people.
00:10:25.140 No, it was this.
00:10:25.660 No, it was that.
00:10:26.820 That's sort of beside the point.
00:10:28.320 The question is, why weren't the cops doing anything?
00:10:30.140 In some cases, you see the cops standing down and letting people go into the Capitol.
00:10:34.460 That's going to really complicate the narrative.
00:10:36.220 So, because of this, because more and more video evidence is coming out that paints the
00:10:41.840 MAGA people in a much better light than we were told by the mainstream media, now you're
00:10:46.360 seeing testimony from some cops and other people who are just creating whole new narratives
00:10:51.800 saying that actually it was a bunch of racists and the MAGA people, they called me the N-word.
00:10:58.080 One woman in a pink MAGA shirt yelled, you hear that, guys?
00:11:03.400 This n***a voted for Joe Biden.
00:11:04.900 Then the crowd, perhaps around 20 people, joined in screaming, boo, f*****g n***a.
00:11:13.260 No one had ever, ever called me a n***a while wearing the uniform of a Capitol Police officer.
00:11:22.900 In the days following the attempted insurrection, other black officers shared with me their own
00:11:30.540 stories of racial abuse on January 6th.
00:11:33.660 One officer told me he had never, and in his entire 40 years of life, been called a n***a
00:11:41.280 to his face, and that streak ended on January 6th.
00:11:44.900 Yet another black officer later told me he had been confronted by insurrectionists in the Capitol
00:11:52.720 who told him, put your gun down and we'll show you what kind of n***a you really are.
00:11:59.440 Yeah.
00:12:00.160 Did they take your Subway sandwich too?
00:12:02.200 Did they tell you this was MAGA country and it was on the south side of Chicago?
00:12:06.060 Forgive me my skepticism, but there are thousands of videos of just about every angle, of every,
00:12:12.780 just about everything that happened that day, cameras everywhere.
00:12:16.400 I don't see any evidence of this whatsoever.
00:12:19.460 And trust me, if this had happened, if there were even one second of video of this, this
00:12:24.080 would have been blasted on every major news.
00:12:26.320 Now, I'm not saying there's no way it happened.
00:12:28.080 I'm just saying, forgive my skepticism, that the liberal establishment that has lied to us
00:12:33.420 about every single aspect of this event might not be telling the truth right now.
00:12:39.200 You know why I don't believe that as this one Capitol Hill officer says, he was called
00:12:48.660 awful racial epithets by all of the Trump supporters.
00:12:51.240 You know why, not even that I don't believe.
00:12:53.020 Do you know why I'm skeptical of this claim?
00:12:55.680 Because this, that word, the N word, which the Capitol Hill officer just says, he's saying
00:13:03.300 it for full effect in the room.
00:13:05.060 We bleep it on the shows, but he's saying it for full effect.
00:13:10.520 That word is the unutterable word.
00:13:13.820 You don't hear people say that.
00:13:15.640 You certainly don't hear people say that in public.
00:13:17.500 There's no video of anyone saying that on January 6th, despite all of the videos of that
00:13:22.380 day.
00:13:23.020 Much of that event was live streamed.
00:13:25.560 Don't the cops wear body cameras?
00:13:27.240 Where is it?
00:13:27.800 Where is any evidence?
00:13:29.660 Oh, they don't have any.
00:13:31.580 So they've just got the testimony.
00:13:32.720 And not only do they have the testimony.
00:13:33.820 They got the testimony of this one guy who shows up and he says, yeah, but you know,
00:13:37.240 I heard from other guys too, that some other guys and the cousin of the other guy and the
00:13:40.480 third cousin once removed of the brother-in-law of a guy said that some other guy said the
00:13:43.900 N word.
00:13:44.280 So basically Trump supporters are bigots.
00:13:48.000 Sorry, I just don't buy it.
00:13:49.760 This guy, Morgan Wallen, the country singer, this country singer used the N word, not in
00:13:55.860 a, in a confrontational way, not in an earnest way as though to put someone down on the
00:14:01.640 basis of his race, but just in the colloquial way that you hear in rap music and you hear
00:14:06.700 in the popular culture.
00:14:07.680 He used it drunkenly, privately with his friend while he was calling him a bunch of other words
00:14:12.720 in a joking manner.
00:14:13.900 And his life, because he just uttered this, you know, joking ways, you know, in a private
00:14:19.980 moment, his life is ruined.
00:14:22.020 Take a listen.
00:14:22.480 He's only sitting down because he wants to clean up his image.
00:14:26.100 It's all a performance.
00:14:28.740 But what do you say to that?
00:14:29.980 I understand that, you know, I understand that I'm not ever going to make, you know,
00:14:34.160 everyone happy.
00:14:35.360 I can only come tell my truth and that's all I know to do.
00:14:38.220 It was, in our minds, it's playful.
00:14:40.960 You know, I don't, I don't know if that's, that sounds ignorant, but that's really where
00:14:44.480 it came from.
00:14:45.540 And, and it's, and it's wrong.
00:14:47.660 And do you know the history of the word?
00:14:49.440 Oh yeah.
00:14:50.000 I've heard some stories in the, in the initial conversations that I had after that, just
00:14:53.320 how, just how some people are, you know, treated even still today.
00:14:57.220 And I'm just like, I haven't seen that with my eyes, that pain or that, or that insignificant
00:15:01.960 feeling or whatever it is that, that it makes you feel.
00:15:04.080 Do you understand why it makes black people so upset?
00:15:08.620 I don't know how to put myself in their shoes because I'm not, you know, but I, I do understand
00:15:13.560 it, especially when I, when I say that I'm using it playfully or whatever, ignorantly,
00:15:17.160 I understand that that must sound, you know, like he doesn't, he doesn't understand.
00:15:21.840 So pathetic.
00:15:22.640 And this guy, it's, it's been going on for months now and the guy's career is over and
00:15:27.440 his life is over.
00:15:29.500 And yeah, I, yeah, I don't encourage people to use offensive language.
00:15:33.440 I think it's a bad idea.
00:15:34.420 I try not to do it myself.
00:15:36.200 Is this a crime against humanity?
00:15:38.180 Is this, is this the worst thing you can possibly do?
00:15:40.760 Well, in our culture, it is.
00:15:42.880 And so you're telling me that a group of Trump supporters in public on camera just starts
00:15:49.600 screaming this word in earnest, in malice and vitriol at a Capitol Hill police officer.
00:15:57.300 Not buying that.
00:15:59.040 Not, but I think there are a handful of people who use this word earnestly or who seem to use
00:16:05.080 this word earnestly in America.
00:16:06.200 They are the white supremacists.
00:16:08.360 I assume 97% of them are FBI informants.
00:16:11.400 I think the entire membership of the Ku Klux Klan is just different FBI informants informing
00:16:16.480 on other FBI informants.
00:16:19.100 Pathetic, pathetic stuff that the left is trying to muster.
00:16:23.340 They don't have the video evidence.
00:16:24.660 They don't have the audio evidence.
00:16:26.120 They don't have, they obviously have no answer for the BLM riots in that comparison.
00:16:30.160 So they just create, they just put on a show and it's Adam Kinzinger and it's other people
00:16:36.540 as well.
00:16:37.760 Speaking of not being able to say things, some Republican congressmen, Paul Gosar, Matt
00:16:42.080 Gates and Marjorie Taylor Greene tried to put on a press conference to get their side
00:16:46.360 of the argument out on the alleged insurrection.
00:16:49.260 Of course, it was shut down by leftist protesters.
00:16:51.260 They owe the people of this country the answers to the questions.
00:16:56.740 We need a break.
00:16:57.720 We need a break.
00:16:58.520 The left is interrupting the press conference.
00:17:01.220 We need to end it.
00:17:03.540 Thank you.
00:17:04.420 For those of you that really care about the process, thank you.
00:17:10.860 Free the January 6th Christmas!
00:17:15.600 Free the January 6th Christmas!
00:17:16.860 Free the January 6th Christmas!
00:17:19.080 Free the January 6th Christmas!
00:17:19.120 Free the January 6th Christmas!
00:17:21.260 All right, and they chased them down the street.
00:17:23.880 I think that was Louie Gohmert there at the end.
00:17:26.400 It's become tedious and cliche to say, imagine if the situation were reversed because the situation
00:17:31.220 isn't reversed because power is not balanced in any way in this country.
00:17:34.240 But if there were Democratic congressmen who were out there talking about, you know, their
00:17:41.000 side of the story, right, maybe defending BLM and going after January 6th and a bunch of
00:17:45.260 Trump supporters came up with signs saying, sit down, you're traitors and rapists, which
00:17:49.300 is what those signs said, that would be called an insurrection, right?
00:17:52.640 That would be called an interference with our democracy.
00:17:54.360 Those people very well might be arrested.
00:17:56.480 The painting of this would be so, so different.
00:17:59.560 And so I just don't want to hear it.
00:18:01.660 I'm just absolutely sick of the January 6th thing.
00:18:04.140 As are Americans.
00:18:05.640 There's a new poll out from Rasmussen.
00:18:08.800 It shows that more Americans want BLM investigated than the Capitol riot.
00:18:13.540 You know, Adam Kinzinger, during his sob story at the top, during the Waterworks display, he
00:18:19.220 said, I, like so many Americans, I'm frustrated that we don't have answers about January 6th.
00:18:25.440 No, actually, more Americans want BLM investigated.
00:18:28.520 And Kinzinger was asked about that.
00:18:29.780 And he said, it's totally different.
00:18:31.080 It's totally different.
00:18:32.240 Yes, maybe the BLM people committed some crimes, but, but the conservatives who stormed the
00:18:39.860 Capitol, they threatened the rule of law itself.
00:18:42.060 So BLM, which, which burned down federal courthouses, BLM, which torched police stations,
00:18:47.260 BLM, which scaled the fence at the White House, they did not threaten.
00:18:51.200 That was just a little crime.
00:18:52.620 That's, you know, a minor thing, slap on the wrist.
00:18:55.240 But the smiling Florida guy who took Pelosi's lectern, that's the threat to the rule of law
00:19:00.620 itself.
00:19:00.980 According to Rasmussen, one third more Americans believe that Congress should hold investigative
00:19:08.140 hearings about the BLM riots than the January 6th probe.
00:19:13.280 But that's not going to happen.
00:19:14.700 So who cares?
00:19:16.140 I think that probably the best course of action is, you know, we, obviously we have to talk
00:19:20.240 about it with this launch of the January 6th commission.
00:19:22.400 But I think basically as a rule, Republicans certainly on Capitol Hill should ignore it.
00:19:26.720 It's preposterous.
00:19:27.540 It's a tale told by an idiot full of sound and fury signifying nothing.
00:19:30.980 It just doesn't matter.
00:19:33.020 Speaking of polls, there's a new poll out that shows some good news in California.
00:19:37.840 A poll conducted by UC Berkeley and the LA Times.
00:19:40.780 So not exactly conservative institutions.
00:19:43.420 Okay.
00:19:43.800 One of the most left-wing schools in the country and a left-wing newspaper.
00:19:47.020 The poll shows that California voters are just about evenly split on recalling Gavin Newsom.
00:19:52.980 So the question is, one, will Gavin Newsom be recalled?
00:19:56.120 And then if he is recalled, who replaces him?
00:19:58.660 And you know that our friend Larry Elder is now running, offering a genuinely conservative
00:20:03.800 alternative to Gavin Newsom.
00:20:05.440 Who has name recognition, who has the ability to raise some money much better than the choice
00:20:10.720 of Mr. Bruce Jenner, who, as far as I can tell, is more left-wing than any other candidate
00:20:16.000 in the race.
00:20:16.980 The poll found that 47% of likely voters support removing Newsom, 50% oppose removing Newsom.
00:20:24.100 The difference is just shy of the survey's margin of error, according even to the LA Times.
00:20:28.220 This is really shocking.
00:20:30.980 California is a deep, deep Democrat state.
00:20:35.100 This poll should not even come close.
00:20:37.260 Newsom should have this thing locked by a landslide, and yet he doesn't, because I think
00:20:42.260 some people are beginning to wake up, even on the Democrat side.
00:20:45.200 And that is a cause for hope.
00:20:46.900 Speaking of the run for governor, Larry Elder, you'll remember, because he's the greatest threat
00:20:51.780 to Gavin Newsom right now on the Republican side, Larry Elder was not being permitted on the
00:20:56.000 ballot.
00:20:57.120 So they were trying to rule that Larry Elder filled out some form wrong or something, and
00:21:01.740 that he couldn't be on the ballot.
00:21:03.320 Well, thankfully, a judge has just ruled that Larry Elder absolutely can appear on the ballot.
00:21:08.620 So if Newsom is recalled, there's actually a chance.
00:21:11.900 Now, I know there's widespread mail-in votes.
00:21:14.160 I know that there's motor voter and ballot harvesting.
00:21:16.300 I know the Democrats are rigging this thing as best they can to prevent a Republican from
00:21:20.480 winning.
00:21:20.860 But there actually is a chance, which is pretty good news.
00:21:23.460 And it's not a moment too soon, because California is heading for a lockdown again.
00:21:29.500 All right.
00:21:29.640 They're already requiring masks, even among vaccinated people indoors.
00:21:35.380 Now, Joe Biden is coming out.
00:21:37.140 He's complaining that at the national level, unless everybody gets vaccinated, then we are
00:21:47.180 really in for trouble.
00:21:48.600 And he's turning up the crotchetiness.
00:21:51.280 You know, Joe Biden, for all of his career, was just this glib, back-slabbing, simpering
00:21:54.840 sort of guy with the big smile who would kiss babies.
00:21:57.640 That was his whole thing.
00:21:58.340 But in his old age, he's becoming much more ornery.
00:22:01.560 And so he's come out now.
00:22:03.180 He's accusing unvaccinated people of sowing confusion.
00:22:06.260 He's attacking their intelligence.
00:22:08.180 So this is not just going to be limited to California and to New York.
00:22:11.640 As I have said now for, I don't know, 15 months or something like that, the 15 days to slow
00:22:17.040 the spread is never going to end.
00:22:18.500 People don't like giving up power.
00:22:20.000 And so there's going to be the Delta variant.
00:22:23.000 And then they've already set up the Lambda variant.
00:22:24.960 And then there's the Sigma variant.
00:22:26.200 And there's going to be the Phi Beta Kappa variant.
00:22:28.360 And there's the Deke variant and the Pike and the Delta and the Zelta and the Delta
00:22:34.420 and whatever.
00:22:35.020 It's just going to go on forever and ever and ever.
00:22:38.900 You might say we're heading into an authoritarian moment.
00:22:42.900 Speaking of which, Ben's new book, The Authoritarian Moment, is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble,

00:23:33.840 We'll be right back with a lot more.
00:23:47.080 No more Mr. Nice, Biden.
00:23:49.080 Old Uncle Joe is turning up the heat on unvaccinated Americans.
00:23:54.800 He's saying they're sowing confusion and they're not smart.
00:23:57.820 Will you require all federal employees to get vaccinated?
00:24:01.240 That's under consideration right now, but if you're not vaccinated, you're not nearly as
00:24:04.800 smart as I thought you were.
00:24:06.260 Are you concerned that the CDC through max guidance could sow confusion?
00:24:09.880 The President, we have a pandemic because of the unvaccinated, and there's so enormous confusion.
00:24:17.880 And the more we learn, the more we learn about this virus and the Delta variation, the more
00:24:25.740 we have to be worried and concerned.
00:24:27.580 And the only one thing we know for sure, if those other hundred million people got vaccinated,
00:24:33.920 we'd be in a very different world.
00:24:36.000 So get vaccinated.
00:24:37.140 If you haven't, you're not nearly as smart as I said you are.
00:24:39.960 Thank you.
00:24:42.940 Having your intelligence questioned by Joe Biden is a badge of honor.
00:24:47.080 Okay.
00:24:47.900 Joe Biden, and I don't even mean this because now he's saying things that are incoherent in
00:24:53.020 his senility.
00:24:53.700 I'm saying this because for his whole career, this guy was considered to be among the duller
00:24:58.760 members of our political class.
00:25:02.480 He never, he would lie about his academic credentials, but he was always sort of toward the bottom
00:25:06.760 of the heap on the old IQ scale.
00:25:09.040 So for him to call you a dummy, you know, what is it?
00:25:11.620 Talk sense to a fool, and he calls you foolish, I think, in the words of Euripides.
00:25:17.120 Joe Biden then says, we have a pandemic because of the unvaccinated.
00:25:20.200 I thought we had a pandemic because of the Wuhan wet markets.
00:25:25.400 Oh no, that turned out to be a lie.
00:25:27.140 I thought we had a pandemic then because of a naturally occurring virus that may or may
00:25:31.460 not have had something to do with the Wuhan laboratory.
00:25:33.600 Oh no, that turned out to be a lie.
00:25:35.180 I thought we had a pandemic because of a manipulated virus that did escape from the Wuhan laboratory.
00:25:41.640 Okay, that's possible, but it wasn't funded by the United States, right?
00:25:44.540 Oh no, that turned out to be a lie.
00:25:46.220 It was funded by the United States.
00:25:47.740 But then we have a pandemic because people are, they're touching their faces too much.
00:25:53.120 They're wearing the masks.
00:25:53.940 The masks aren't doing anything.
00:25:55.200 Gives them a false sense of security.
00:25:56.380 Oh no, that turned out to maybe be a lie.
00:25:58.160 At least was contradicted later by the same people who said it and told us all to wear
00:26:02.520 the masks and then told us all to lock down and then told us this, that, and the other
00:26:05.540 thing.
00:26:06.200 But no, you, you who using your faculties of reason and your prudence don't want to get
00:26:12.420 the experimental drug because you're not maybe at the highest risk of dying from COVID.
00:26:17.480 You're the problem.
00:26:19.020 You're the problem.
00:26:19.660 The more we learn, the more, the more we learn, the more we realize that there are side effects
00:26:23.940 to the drug, to the shot.
00:26:26.560 We know the FDA and the CDC have admitted this.
00:26:29.040 Blood clotting from the J&J vaccine in some women.
00:26:32.880 Myocarditis in otherwise perfectly healthy young people from the mRNA vaccines.
00:26:37.680 And so maybe you make a risk calculation if you're 75 or 80 plus, you say, okay, well,
00:26:42.340 it's just worth it because I'm at greater risk of COVID.
00:26:45.540 But if you're 15, maybe you're not going to get that vaccine and it doesn't make you stupid
00:26:48.840 and it doesn't make you selfish.
00:26:50.640 Makes you smart.
00:26:51.720 Okay.
00:26:53.060 They're sowing confusion, the unvaccinated people.
00:26:55.960 You know who I think is sowing confusion?
00:26:57.580 I think the liberal establishment and Dr. Fauci and Joe Biden and all the rest of them.
00:27:02.740 I think they're the ones sowing confusion.
00:27:05.560 People should not be walking around with masks.
00:27:07.680 Let me just state for the record that masks are not theater.
00:27:11.860 Wearing a mask might make people feel a little bit better.
00:27:15.100 Masks are protective.
00:27:16.900 But it's not providing the perfect protection that people think that it is.
00:27:20.740 There has not been any indication that putting a mask on and wearing a mask for a considerable
00:27:26.320 period of time has any deleterious effects.
00:27:29.620 There are unintended consequences.
00:27:31.620 People keep fiddling with the mask and they keep touching their face.
00:27:34.320 And can you get some schmutz sort of staying inside there?
00:27:37.820 Of course.
00:27:38.040 You do not need to wear a mask indoors if, in fact, you've been vaccinated.
00:27:43.220 Good that you're vaccinated, but in a situation where you have people indoors, particularly
00:27:47.740 crowded, you should wear a mask.
00:27:49.720 So even if you are vaccinated, you should wear a mask.
00:27:52.820 If, in fact, you are vaccinated, fully vaccinated, you are protected and you do not need to wear
00:27:58.220 a mask outdoors or indoors.
00:27:59.580 When the children go out into the community, you want them to continue to wear masks.
00:28:04.580 You know, if you look at children outside, particularly when they're with the family
00:28:08.060 walking down the street, playing a game or what have you, don't have to wear a mask.
00:28:13.360 The, the, the, the pediatric, the Academy of Pediatric actually makes that recommendation
00:28:18.320 that children should be wearing masks from two years old.
00:28:22.020 Yeah.
00:28:22.320 Stop sowing confusion, you unvaccinated people.
00:28:25.080 Just be really clear.
00:28:26.380 Like Dr. Fauci has held every single opinion you can hold on anything simultaneously.
00:28:33.260 There's a new study out of Great Britain shows that five times as many British children
00:28:39.440 died of suicide as died of COVID.
00:28:41.660 The study comes out from the University of Bristol, University of York, University of
00:28:45.020 Liverpool, University College London, compared morbidity statistics from the National Child
00:28:49.680 Morbidity Database with Public Health England showed five times as many kids killed themselves
00:28:57.060 as died of COVID.
00:28:59.540 You're not going to hear about that.
00:29:00.740 You'll hear about it on this show.
00:29:01.860 You'll hear about it from some conservative outlets.
00:29:03.420 You won't hear about it from many other places because we've focused in on this one virus,
00:29:09.040 the, the Wuhan cough, that now is the only thing that matters in the world.
00:29:13.320 And so we take away your rights.
00:29:14.620 We take away your life.
00:29:15.620 We take away your relationships.
00:29:16.980 We take away your business.
00:29:18.060 We take away your country.
00:29:19.080 We take away your election integrity.
00:29:20.780 It's all fine.
00:29:22.060 So if, if, if it just prevents one person from getting the cough, then that's all that matters.
00:29:27.800 By the way, it might not, might not be doing that either.
00:29:29.940 Speaking of the Brits, there was a shocking new poll out, a shocking new study, allegedly,
00:29:37.520 that shows that Britons are willing to ban certain books.
00:29:42.100 And I've seen some conservatives talking about this, but I think none of them are getting
00:29:47.180 it quite right.
00:29:47.800 So here's, here's what the poll says.
00:29:49.500 Would the British public support or oppose the UK government censoring books with content
00:29:55.000 that it deems sexist, homophobic, or racist, 40% support that, 30% oppose that, 24% say
00:30:03.620 neither.
00:30:05.000 Pluralities of 2019, 41% says, yes, labor, 46% would support book bans.
00:30:15.040 And we in America, we recoil from this.
00:30:17.480 We say, this is absolutely great.
00:30:18.860 We should never ban any books.
00:30:20.580 This is anathema to who we are.
00:30:21.900 It's anathema to the Christian West.
00:30:23.260 And that's just not true.
00:30:24.840 I think we're really overstating our case here.
00:30:27.360 There have been plenty of books that have been banned in the United States from the very
00:30:30.740 beginning of our country.
00:30:31.980 There are some books that remain banned or practically banned.
00:30:35.200 I mean, we, Amazon is banning books today, right?
00:30:37.300 Now, what has changed is not that certain books are being banned.
00:30:42.480 Obscene material was banned and heavily regulated from the very beginning of our country and theoretically
00:30:48.640 would still be today.
00:30:50.440 What has changed is not that some books are canceled.
00:30:52.520 What has changed is the standards by which books are canceled.
00:30:56.660 Early on, huge swaths of political material.
00:31:01.060 If you published a book that said men are not women, for instance, that book would not
00:31:04.620 be censored.
00:31:05.540 Today, my friend Ryan Anderson did publish a book that said men are not women.
00:31:08.560 It's called When Harry Became Sally.
00:31:09.900 That book is being censored, not by the government, but effectively by the government.
00:31:14.040 It's being censored by the liberal establishment and by the website that sells 80% of books plus
00:31:18.580 in the United States.
00:31:21.000 Okay, that's different kind of censorship.
00:31:22.440 I know this is sort of unpopular to say on the right right now, but plenty of wise people
00:31:31.180 have acknowledged that societies ban certain books and that it's not the end of the world.
00:31:35.500 Plato defended book burning, for goodness sakes.
00:31:37.680 Plato, from whom we get much, if not most, of Western philosophy.
00:31:42.640 St. Luke, in the Bible, looks very favorably upon book burning in the Acts of the Apostles.
00:31:49.940 I'm not calling for book burnings right now.
00:31:52.100 I'm making the descriptive observation that all societies ban certain books, certain licentious
00:31:57.680 material, certain dangerous material, certain seditious material, all societies, including
00:32:01.980 our own.
00:32:03.280 And so long as conservatives live in this pie-in-the-sky world that has never existed,
00:32:07.740 where the society does not impose any standards or taboos on written material, we're going to
00:32:12.760 keep losing.
00:32:13.620 Because what the left understands is that all societies impose those standards.
00:32:17.280 And so they're going to try to pervert the standards to their own ends.
00:32:20.460 And I think what we need to do is go back in and say, no, look, yeah, we all grant obscene
00:32:24.800 material, seditious material.
00:32:27.180 This sort of stuff does not have, there's no natural right for this material to go out there.
00:32:32.920 But we want to defend when Harry became Sally, but we want to defend important political speech,
00:32:39.640 but we want to defend the actual American free speech tradition, which happens to be
00:32:43.340 the thesis of my book, which you should not ban or burn.
00:32:47.340 Speaking of standards, the Senate panel voted to make women register for the draft.
00:32:52.760 We told you that this was very likely going to happen last week, and then it did happen.
00:32:57.200 And I'm not surprised at all, but we started the show talking about the squishy Republicans
00:33:01.160 like, like Adam Kinzinger.
00:33:04.520 There were Republicans on this committee who voted to draft your daughters into the armed
00:33:13.920 forces.
00:33:14.580 There were many.
00:33:15.320 There were actually only five Republicans who voted against it.
00:33:18.100 So the five Republicans on the armed services committee who voted against drafting your daughters
00:33:23.040 were Senator James Inhofe, Senator Roger Wicker, Senator Tom Cotton, Senator Josh Hawley, and
00:33:29.320 Senator Mike Rounds.
00:33:31.820 Very good stuff.
00:33:33.220 You should applaud those guys.
00:33:34.780 That's the right thing.
00:33:35.720 There were one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight Republicans who voted to draft
00:33:44.640 your daughters.
00:33:46.820 I'm not going to read their names.
00:33:48.600 You can find them online.
00:33:50.140 I'm not going to read their names because my point here is not to shame them and humiliate
00:33:56.040 them.
00:33:56.320 And my point here is to correct them.
00:34:00.640 Number of senators here from all over the country who are ostensibly Republican, who think
00:34:08.440 that it is acceptable to draft women into the armed forces.
00:34:12.520 It is not.
00:34:13.380 That is not the country that I want to live in.
00:34:15.960 I suspect that's not the country that you want to live in.
00:34:18.160 That is not a country that is in any way conservative.
00:34:21.040 It's not a country that recognizes even the most basic distinction in human nature between
00:34:25.580 men and women.
00:34:27.260 It's hard.
00:34:27.700 Sometimes it's difficult to find that distinction, especially with Kinzinger bawling his eyes
00:34:31.660 out at the committee hearings.
00:34:36.080 But if you can't conserve the very basic distinction in human nature, you can't conserve anything.
00:34:40.620 So I hope these senators change their mind before this thing goes up to a real vote.
00:34:44.520 Also, a point here is some people, I think, have misinterpreted what I've said.
00:34:49.300 When I say that Adam Kinzinger is a womanish clown, I'm not dissing women.
00:34:54.200 Most people understand that, but there's a difference between being womanish and womanly.
00:35:01.100 And the difference is this.
00:35:02.860 When a woman embodies the feminine virtues, that's a wonderful, beautiful thing.
00:35:09.580 When a man performs a caricature of a woman, that's a very bad thing.
00:35:14.040 That's the difference between womanly and womanish.
00:35:16.760 And what Kinzinger and a lot of the rest of these squishes are doing, very much the latter.
00:35:21.060 Speaking of women in battle, I've got to get to the most important story that I didn't think was going to matter, but it does.
00:35:30.840 Simone Biles.
00:35:32.560 Simone Biles is apparently an Olympic athlete.
00:35:36.320 I had never heard of Simone Biles until last night.
00:35:38.800 I don't watch the Olympics.
00:35:40.280 It's never particularly interested me.
00:35:42.220 And in the recent years where American athletes are turning against their country, I'm not saying Simone Biles did that, but where a number of athletes are doing that, I'm just not interested at all.
00:35:52.400 So Simone Biles is apparently a very popular and accomplished gymnast.
00:35:56.220 And Simone Biles decided, because she performed badly in some event, that she was just going to quit the Olympics.
00:36:03.860 She was sent to the Olympics to represent the United States, to bring home medals, to do sport battle against other countries, and to bring home medals for the United States.
00:36:15.100 But then she just wasn't feeling it one day.
00:36:17.300 She just wasn't feeling it.
00:36:18.340 So, in the past, when Olympians have not just injured their feelings, but injured their bodies, they have still gone on, they've still competed, they've still fought to bring home those medals for the United States.
00:36:29.940 Compare, as my friend Charlie Kirk did on the internet yesterday, compare those good old days to Simone Biles today.
00:36:36.800 Here you have an Olympian competing with a broken foot.
00:36:52.140 Gary Strug.
00:36:55.340 She was there for gold, there for her team, for her country and her soul.
00:36:59.220 Just a lot of different variables, and I think we're just a little bit too stressed out.
00:37:03.540 But we should be out here having fun, and sometimes that's not the case.
00:37:08.340 Okay, there's a lot of variables as to why she quit.
00:37:11.260 And she was a little stressed out.
00:37:12.580 And look, she's just there to have fun.
00:37:14.060 She's just there for her, right?
00:37:17.220 Of course not.
00:37:18.300 I mean, this is sad.
00:37:19.720 This is pathetic.
00:37:20.620 This is disgraceful.
00:37:22.320 But I don't want to be too hard on Simone Biles here.
00:37:26.280 One, because I don't know anything about Simone Biles, and I'm not that interested.
00:37:28.980 But also, too, because I think Simone Biles is the voice of her generation.
00:37:34.780 I think she is the voice of a generation that was not taught duty, that was actually taught
00:37:38.920 to mock duty, that was taught to mock honor and the things that are higher than one's
00:37:44.480 own pleasure and one's own comfort.
00:37:49.280 Simone Biles, as she quits the Olympics because she's got the bad feels, she says,
00:37:54.360 I've never felt like this going into a competition before.
00:37:56.360 I tried to go out there and have fun and warm up in the back, went a little bit better.
00:38:00.620 But then once I came out here, no, mental's not there.
00:38:04.700 So I just need to let the girls do it and focus on myself.
00:38:08.520 Physically, I feel good.
00:38:09.420 I'm in shape, she says.
00:38:10.460 She said this to the Today Show.
00:38:12.120 Emotionally, that kind of varies in the time and moment.
00:38:14.380 Coming here to the Olympics and being the head star isn't an easy feat.
00:38:17.120 So we're just trying to take it one day at a time and we'll see.
00:38:19.120 It's really, really pathetic and disgraceful.
00:38:21.100 Because she's not there to have fun and she's not there for herself and she's not there as
00:38:29.600 just oopsie-daisy.
00:38:30.980 Think about the person whose spot she took.
00:38:34.140 Think about the people who spend their whole lives trying to make it to the Olympics.
00:38:37.420 And then this gal took another gal's spot and then because she just didn't have the
00:38:43.180 right feels that day, she said, no, I'm not having as much fun as I used to.
00:38:47.500 Ah, you know, you got the, imagine the guy's storming Normandy.
00:38:51.980 It's like, ah, you know, this isn't as fun as it used to be.
00:38:55.180 Ah, imagine you're at your office.
00:38:57.980 You've got a very important project that has to get done.
00:39:00.460 And then one of the key guys on the team, he says, ah, you know what, guys?
00:39:03.660 It just doesn't, I don't know.
00:39:06.140 I'm not enjoying it as much as I, you know, good luck.
00:39:08.580 See ya.
00:39:09.180 I'm late.
00:39:09.520 I'm quitting.
00:39:10.900 It's just, it's just quitting.
00:39:12.160 I know some people are trying to defend her.
00:39:13.420 They say she has mental problems.
00:39:15.700 Maybe she does.
00:39:16.340 I don't know.
00:39:16.660 I mean, I know some people have been blaming it on mental problems.
00:39:19.800 I know a lot of people are blaming a lot of things on mental problems because suffering
00:39:23.560 and grievance now, now carries social currency.
00:39:26.440 But if, if this woman really has mental problems, then she's, you know, she should never have
00:39:30.420 been competing in the first place.
00:39:31.640 I mean, she, she needs to get the help that she needs, right?
00:39:34.180 Or is, or is that just an excuse because she just didn't, you know, she didn't feel it.
00:39:37.980 She felt she wasn't competing at her best.
00:39:39.880 And I mean, she just doesn't want to.
00:39:41.780 And in our culture, there's nothing, nothing more important than one's will, than one's
00:39:49.340 appetite, than one's pleasure and comfort and desire.
00:39:52.960 Very sad stuff.
00:39:54.040 Sad stuff.
00:39:54.580 I mean, this is part of, this just underscores my decision not to watch or care about the
00:40:00.600 Olympics at all.
00:40:01.780 Here's another thing that does that.
00:40:02.820 The head of the Olympics broadcasting, it just came out, made a very important feminist
00:40:07.640 statement, said that the Olympics broadcasting coverage is going to focus on women's sport
00:40:15.080 appeal, not their sex appeal.
00:40:18.320 So the Tokyo Olympics head of broadcasting said they're going to minimize the sexualization
00:40:23.300 of female athletes in light of athlete complaints that the, the uniforms are too sexy or something.
00:40:32.080 And they want to make the women's bodies more covered up.
00:40:35.600 And this, this head of broadcasting, Yanis Exarchos says, you got to focus on sport appeal,
00:40:40.800 not sex appeal.
00:40:41.720 You will not see in our coverage some things that we have been seeing in the past with
00:40:44.840 details and close up, close ups on parts of the body.
00:40:47.440 What we can do is make sure that our coverage does not highlight or feature in any particular
00:40:50.880 way what people are wearing and you won't see any of that stuff.
00:40:57.420 This is very wrong.
00:40:58.620 This is for, not because I'm saying that, you know, the Olympics should be a striptease
00:41:02.700 or a burlesque show, but the physical beauty of the Olympians is and has always been a central
00:41:11.660 feature of the Olympics going back to ancient Greece.
00:41:14.640 And actually it extends to all sorts of sports.
00:41:17.640 These people, not even just the women, I'm talking about the men too.
00:41:20.520 These are top physical specimens.
00:41:22.400 These are people who have spent years and years and years crafting and their bodies into
00:41:27.700 these machines, into these incredible specimens of achievement and excellence so that they
00:41:33.200 can perform athletic feats.
00:41:35.840 You can't separate the physical appeal of the Olympians from the sport.
00:41:42.440 They're intertwined.
00:41:45.040 The objectification, what this is denying is the way that we as human beings relate to our
00:41:51.420 bodies and relate to one another.
00:41:53.380 We are attracted to one another.
00:41:54.680 The sexes are complementary.
00:41:56.180 Men and women are different in this way.
00:41:58.520 And sport is about physical excellence.
00:42:01.760 It's not just about making the individual athletes feel good or something like that.
00:42:06.020 It's about all of us marveling at their excellence, or at least that's what it's supposed to be.
00:42:10.720 But you can't acknowledge sexual difference now.
00:42:14.580 Forget in sports.
00:42:15.700 Forget in sports.
00:42:16.280 You cannot acknowledge sexual difference in medical school.
00:42:23.440 This just came out from Barry Weiss's Substack yesterday.
00:42:25.980 It's one of the, Barry Weiss's Substack is one of the best journalistic outlets out there.
00:42:30.300 It's much better than the New York Times.
00:42:32.180 And Barry Weiss isn't even particularly conservative.
00:42:34.720 So Barry Weiss had this piece up.
00:42:36.660 During a recent endocrinology course at a top medical school in the UC system, University of
00:42:43.800 California system, a professor actually stopped mid-lecture to apologize for something that he
00:42:49.400 had said at the beginning of class.
00:42:51.240 What do you think he said?
00:42:52.660 You already know.
00:42:53.380 You know the answer before I even tell you.
00:42:54.920 Here's what the professor says.
00:42:57.280 I don't want you to think that I am in any way trying to imply anything.
00:43:00.220 And if you can summon some generosity to forgive me, I would really appreciate it.
00:43:05.800 Was Adam Kinzinger teaching this course?
00:43:07.260 I don't know.
00:43:07.760 The physician said this in a recording that was provided by a student in the class.
00:43:12.000 This is not hearsay.
00:43:13.620 It's not like that cop who was testifying on the January 6th panel.
00:43:17.860 I heard from a friend of a friend of another friend of a friend who said that these guys
00:43:20.760 were really mean.
00:43:22.180 The professor goes on.
00:43:23.800 Again, I'm very sorry for that.
00:43:27.340 It was certainly not my intention to offend anyone.
00:43:30.220 The worst thing that I can do as a human being is be offensive.
00:43:35.120 Pause there for a second before we even get to what he said.
00:43:38.580 The worst thing you can do is be offensive?
00:43:42.180 Murder, pillage, rape, genocide.
00:43:46.360 No, be offensive.
00:43:47.620 That's the worst thing.
00:43:49.940 Right?
00:43:50.340 That's, I don't think being offensive is the worst thing that you can do as a human being.
00:43:55.400 Sometimes it's one of the best things you can do.
00:43:57.420 If what you are offending are the vicious errors of a great many people.
00:44:02.380 And what was his offense?
00:44:04.240 You know the answer.
00:44:06.240 His offense was using the term pregnant women.
00:44:09.920 I said when a woman is pregnant, which implies that only women can get pregnant.
00:44:13.240 And I most sincerely apologize to all of you.
00:44:19.320 Oh my gosh.
00:44:21.440 Why, why did the professor do this?
00:44:24.020 Why does a medical school professor apparently not understand?
00:44:27.740 Well, I guess he does understand that only women can get pregnant.
00:44:29.760 But why is he lying about that then?
00:44:30.980 And why is he apologizing about that?
00:44:32.380 Because he, I guess he doesn't know the difference between men and women.
00:44:35.740 Where is Don Corleone when you need him?
00:44:40.780 We need, we need a little bit of this.
00:44:42.800 I'm reminded of the bio tapestry.
00:44:44.840 Bishop Odo there, the battle of Hastings.
00:44:46.920 He's smacking his own men with a club.
00:44:48.840 It says here, Bishop Odo comforts the troops.
00:44:50.880 Sometimes comfort requires tough love.
00:44:52.740 It means to give strength.
00:44:54.480 Where is it?
00:44:55.560 Sometimes you can act like a man.
00:44:58.240 What's the matter with you?
