00:00:00.000 Inflation has hit record highs. The Taliban is chasing the United States out of Afghanistan.
00:00:05.520 The American population is dying and Hunter Biden lost another laptop full of compromise to the
00:00:12.600 Russians, according to a new video of him complaining to one of his hookers. Thank
00:00:17.580 goodness the adults are back in charge. I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:00:21.020 Welcome back to the show. My favorite comment yesterday is from Philip Portolano, who says,
00:00:32.620 screw your freedom. This guy sounds like the governor of California. That's true. Arnold
00:00:36.760 Schwarzenegger does sound like the governor of California. You know, the parties change,
00:00:42.680 the people change, and yet the liberal establishment continues to rule. It's something that could make
00:00:48.740 you lose sleep at night. And if you are losing sleep at night, I would strongly recommend you
00:00:52.940 check out BioOptimizers. You know, it's very important to get good sleep, especially when
00:00:58.300 you've got a screaming little baby in the background. You've got to try to maximize your sleep. One of the
00:01:01.800 best things you can possibly do to improve your health is to get seven hours at least of quality
00:01:06.680 sleep every night. It's very difficult. I know. No one can do it. One of the biggest reasons that you
00:01:12.860 might not be able to get that sleep other than a screaming baby might be magnesium deficiency.
00:01:16.880 Magnesium is key to getting good sleep, but 75% of people are actually magnesium deficient.
00:01:23.140 Is it any wonder that so many people have sleep problems? Well, to help fix those sleep problems
00:01:27.120 and to fully enjoy the calming effects of magnesium, check out Magnesium Breakthrough
00:01:30.920 by BioOptimizers. It's the only organic full-spectrum magnesium supplement that includes seven unique
00:01:36.440 forms of magnesium. You just take two capsules before you go to bed. You'll be amazed at how much
00:01:40.680 better you sleep and how much better rested you feel when you wake up. Marie, for example,
00:01:45.040 left a five-star review. She said she'd give it a hundred stars if she could. She went from daily
00:01:48.820 struggles and restless legs, horrible, terrible sleep, to no struggles with any of that. So go
00:01:53.200 check it out today. Magnesium Breakthrough is 100% organic, made with vegetarian, non-GMO

00:02:13.240 Should we start with the hooker? Let's do it. Let's start with the hooker because the adults
00:02:19.840 are back in charge. You see, everything was going terribly under Trump and the economy was great and
00:02:25.600 our geopolitics had settled down and American confidence was growing again and manufacturing
00:02:31.180 was great and wages were up and inflation was down. But then the adults got back in charge and now
00:02:36.980 and now Hunter Biden has lost another laptop. This is a pretty crazy story. So it just came out.
00:02:43.680 It's a video of Hunter Biden speaking to one of his hookers. For some reason, he videotapes all of
00:02:50.440 his crimes. And so this video has come out. This was from a few years ago and he is complaining that
00:02:56.280 some Russian drug dealers stole a third laptop of his filled with a Compromat and he doesn't know
00:03:03.840 where it is. Take a listen.
00:03:05.580 What does the computers have to do with?
00:03:07.840 They have videos of me doing this.
00:03:10.640 They have videos of me doing like a couple of crazy
00:03:13.180 sex f***ing.
00:03:14.760 So they've got videos of me doing crazy effing sex.
00:03:16.580 I don't want to go to this app you said before you met me.
00:03:18.420 Assume it, yeah.
00:03:19.460 So it would have been out already, would you say?
00:03:21.080 No, no, no.
00:03:24.540 So it wouldn't be because my dad is running for president.
00:03:28.180 Yes.
00:03:28.420 He also knows that I make like a gazillion dollars.
00:03:43.900 They'd try to blackmail you.
00:03:44.920 Yes. So here we go. Everything, everything that was reported in the New York Post before
00:03:54.900 the election that the liberal establishment, the politicians and big tech and the media told
00:03:59.720 us was not true. Not only is it all true as we always knew, but we now have video of Hunter
00:04:04.920 Biden admitting that it's all true in one conversation with a hooker. So he's actually
00:04:09.560 showing you that it's all true while he's saying it's all true. This is the third laptop that's gone
00:04:14.020 missing. Thank goodness that the adults are back in charge. I would recommend to Hunter that he
00:04:20.120 stop recording himself committing all of these crimes. But this is a, this is a very big problem
00:04:24.580 because if Don Jr. Blew his nose the wrong way, it was a international news story and it was the
00:04:30.620 disgrace to the United States. But Hunter Biden, you don't hear anything about this. He's admitting
00:04:34.700 that he makes a gazillion dollars. How's he making a gazillion dollars? He doesn't have any skills and
00:04:38.200 he doesn't work. So he's obviously making a gazillion dollars by selling his father's name and
00:04:43.000 trading on his father's influence in the U S government. Are they going to blackmail him?
00:04:47.140 He's admitting that they're going to blackmail him. Who is it? It's the Russians. We were told
00:04:51.120 for the entire Trump administration that he was compromised by the Russians. It turns out actually
00:04:56.140 it's the Bidens who are compromised by the Russians. And where is this now? We're not hearing anything
00:05:01.260 about it when you tried to not only post this on social media during the election, but even privately
00:05:05.720 message it. You were not permitted to do that. This is being completely suppressed by the establishment.
00:05:10.640 Well, what does it mean? What does it mean? What is being done right now because of this blackmail?
00:05:18.840 Speaking of the birds and the bees, speaking of the birds and the bees, the American population is
00:05:24.080 dying. People are not having babies anymore. This has been a trend since the 1970s, but it's really
00:05:29.460 ticked up in recent years. And one of the reasons for that is climate hysteria at which, by the way,
00:05:37.060 you know, I hate to say that I told you so. I called this years ago and I talked about it a few
00:05:42.100 months ago again on the show. People are so ginned up about the sun monster and they're so afraid that
00:05:48.000 the sun monster is going to kill everybody that they're actually right now not having children.
00:05:52.980 They're not growing the population. Well, it turns out that analysts, even from highfalutin investment
00:05:58.680 banks agree with me. A recent investor note from Morgan Stanley analyst said, quote,
00:06:02.400 The movement to not have children owing to fears over climate change is growing and impacting fertility
00:06:09.000 rates quicker than any preceding trend in the field of fertility decline. So this hysteria about the
00:06:16.440 weather killing everyone is causing a decline in fertility more than stagnant economies, more than
00:06:23.480 wars, more than the last environmental scale, a scare that nonsense about overpopulation that cropped up
00:06:30.720 in the 1970s that turned out to be completely bogus. The United States birth rate last year
00:06:36.020 fell by 4%. That's a huge number. Everyone said there was going to be a COVID baby boom. I actually
00:06:42.660 participated in what there may have been of the COVID baby boom. My cute little baby is evidence of that.
00:06:47.140 But as a population matter, it actually fell by 4%. That means that regardless of all the other issues
00:06:55.200 we can worry about, immigration, wars, the economy, all this, the country is literally dying. There are just
00:07:02.480 fewer people being born. And this is affecting different demographics differently. Speaking of population
00:07:09.820 decline, it turns out that the white population is declining precipitously. The share of the white population in
00:07:17.820 this country fell for the first time in American history. It fell from 63.7% in 2010 to 57.8% in 2020.
00:07:29.600 That's the lowest on record. It's because of falling birth rates, specifically among white women
00:07:33.760 compared to Hispanic and Asian women. The number, the number, just the raw number of white people,
00:07:41.100 non-Hispanic white people shrank from 196 million in 2010 to 191 million today. And as you might expect,
00:07:51.300 liberals are celebrating this, which is so funny. It's so funny because I don't know if you've been
00:07:55.640 paying attention to the news over the past six or eight months, but there is this new narrative in
00:08:01.440 the news that if you observe that the white, the white percentage of the population and the raw number
00:08:09.340 of white people is shrinking, that you are a conspiracy theorist, you are a racist, you are a
00:08:13.900 white supremacist. They call this the great replacement, crazy conspiracy theory, and you're
00:08:19.940 basically no better than Hitler if you suggest that. But if you're a liberal who acknowledges all
00:08:26.600 these things and celebrates it, that's very good. Jennifer Rubin, who used to pretend to be a
00:08:31.600 conservative columnist at the Washington Post, now I think she's basically open about being a liberal
00:08:35.080 columnist. She tweets out this article and she says, quote, a more diverse, more inclusive society.
00:08:41.440 This is fabulous news. Now we need to prevent minority white rule.
00:08:47.980 Of course, it is cliche. I shouldn't even say it. I'm sorry. I don't even want to say it. But
00:08:53.340 of course, if any columnist said this about any other racial group, they would be called a vile,
00:08:59.220 vicious racist and rightly so. But Jennifer Rubin, because she's saying it about white people,
00:09:03.500 is not called that. Imagine, I can't, I hate this because truly conservatism is going to die
00:09:09.560 because we keep playing these hypotheticals and say, well, you know, if the shoe was on the other
00:09:12.200 foot. But, you know, if she tweeted out because the, let's say the black population was decreasing,
00:09:17.180 a more diverse, more inclusive society, this is fabulous news. Now we need to prevent minority
00:09:21.420 black rule. Obviously, she'd be run out of town. She'd have her entire career destroyed. But because
00:09:26.960 it's against white people, it's perfectly fine. Jennifer Rubin is not the only person saying this.
00:09:31.700 You hear it actually from elected Democrats. Ilhan Omar just some months ago came out and said,
00:09:36.760 this is not, not going to, this country is not for white people and white people better pack up
00:09:41.920 and head on out. This is not going to be the country of white people. So, and there are so many
00:09:48.520 more examples of this. So from what I can conclude, if you say that white people are diminishing as a
00:09:56.360 portion of the population and you suggest that either that's neutral or, or a bad thing,
00:10:02.100 you're a vile, vicious conspiracy theorist, racist. If you make the exact same observation,
00:10:06.900 but you celebrate it, you are a good, wonderful person who supports diversity and a thriving
00:10:12.980 America. Probably not, probably not great for our country to have elites cheering on the decline of,
00:10:24.680 of a large segment of the country. Probably not the best thing for the country as a whole. But
00:10:28.040 speaking of records, don't worry, don't worry about that. That'll be a longer term sort of issue.
00:10:34.960 The shorter term issue is that the prices are going through the roof on just about everything
00:10:38.960 because inflation is hitting record highs. Probably makes one want to make sure that
00:10:44.260 one can keep track of his possessions, which is why I would strongly recommend Ring.
00:10:48.700 Knock, knock. Who's there? I don't know. You don't know? You don't know because
00:10:52.620 you don't have Ring. That's the problem. You've got to get Ring and then you'll just know who is
00:10:56.840 outside your door, whether it's the delivery guy, whether it's a burglar or whether it's your mother
00:11:00.840 in law. Who are you less excited to see? I'm not so sure. With Ring Alarm, you can keep an eye on your
00:11:06.940 doorstep, whether you're in the home, whether you are at the office, whether you are on the other side
00:11:11.320 of the world. But it's more than just the doorstep. You can keep an eye on every inch of your home
00:11:17.220 with Ring. So it gives me peace of mind, especially when I go on the road, which I do a fair bit.
00:11:22.080 It gives me peace of mind for my friends when I give it to them as a housewarming present,
00:11:26.700 mostly because it's not that expensive, but also because it's a very, very good product.
00:11:31.120 Go check out Ring today. You can install it yourself. Keep an eye on every corner of your house.
00:11:36.440 Ring.com slash Knowles. Go there for a special offer on a Ring Alarm security kit. You can build a
00:11:41.380 system that's right for your home. Have it up and running in minutes. That's Ring.com slash Knowles.
00:11:45.760 Ring.com slash Knowles. Inflation for businesses. So we're not talking about inflation generally.
00:11:52.060 We're just talking about inflation for businesses. Costs for businesses have reached a year over
00:11:57.380 year rate. Do you want to guess? Do you want to guess what inflation was for businesses last year?
00:12:02.520 What would you say? 2%, 3%, 7.8% in July, 7.8%. This is the highest level ever recorded.
00:12:12.580 You'll recall in July, President Biden put out a tweet and he said, happy 4th of July. You're so
00:12:18.760 lucky that I'm the president now because the cost of your 4th of July barbecue has decreased by 16
00:12:24.100 cents. They actually put this out. So it's decreased by 16 cents. Cost of everything else
00:12:29.000 is up 7.8%. But you know, hey, at least you saved 16 cents. So the Bureau of Labor Statistics
00:12:34.900 showed that this producer price index, not the consumer price index, but the producer price index,
00:12:39.960 which tracks changes in input prices for the businesses and for domestic producers,
00:12:45.840 has increased just this month by a full percent. So inflation going through the roof,
00:12:52.880 inflation generally, including for consumers, also is up at recent record highs. The inflation rate in
00:12:59.360 July remained at 5.4%. That matches June's levels, year over year inflation in June, obviously reached
00:13:09.080 5.4%. This is the highest rate since the great recession that began in 2007 and 2008. It's not
00:13:17.920 just Republicans who are worried about these scare statistics. Even some Democrats are doing that,
00:13:23.300 including Joe Manchin. So Joe Manchin, who I think may be the last semi-moderate Democrat in the
00:13:30.060 entire country. Kyrsten Sinema, the senator from Arizona, a little bit as well. But basically Manchin,
00:13:35.260 as far as I can tell, there are three groups in the Democratic Party now. It's the progressives,
00:13:38.960 it's the super progressives, and it's Joe Manchin. Those are the three factions of the party.
00:13:43.740 Joe Manchin asked the Federal Reserve to stop printing all this money because when you just print money
00:13:49.380 endlessly, eventually you're going to get some inflation. The Federal Open Market Committee,
00:13:56.020 which oversees the execution of monetary policy, has refused to amend its near zero interest rates
00:14:02.720 or scale back its $120 billion in monthly asset purchases. Here's what Joe Manchin said to the Fed.
00:14:08.760 He said, quote, the record amount of stimulus in the economy has led to the most inflation momentum
00:14:13.900 in 30 years, and our economy has not even fully reopened yet. I am deeply concerned that the
00:14:20.040 continuing stimulus put forth by the Fed and proposal for additional fiscal stimulus will lead
00:14:25.040 to our country overheating and to unavoidable inflation taxes that hardworking Americans cannot
00:14:30.780 afford. So this ends up being a tax, not on the rich, not on the people who need to pay their fair
00:14:36.420 share. This ends up being a tax on everybody, and it disproportionately hits the middle class
00:14:40.880 and working classes. So really bad situation for Americans who are already feeling the squeeze
00:14:46.360 because the government wouldn't let them go to work for a year. Also, and I suspect this is a little
00:14:51.260 bit of what Joe Manchin is seeing here. When we just print money endlessly, when we just inflate
00:14:58.600 the dollar or inflate the economy, this weakens our argument against China, right? So we make this
00:15:07.500 argument against China. We say China is illegitimately manipulating its currency.
00:15:15.120 That's a very bad thing. It shouldn't be doing that. We're doing the same thing. China is
00:15:19.820 violating various sort of trade agreements. Okay, well, if we're tinkering with our economy in this
00:15:27.600 way, we're doing similar sorts of measures. Well, China this, China that, China this, China that.
00:15:34.260 There's a, there's a great old blues song sort of popularized in the last few years by Eric Clapton,
00:15:41.180 before you accuse me, take a look at yourself. And that's what Joe Manchin is doing. That's what
00:15:44.760 Republicans are doing right now. But it doesn't matter. We're just going on and on. And China's
00:15:50.320 spying on its citizens. Yeah, we would never do that, right? The United States would never,
00:15:54.880 oh, it turns out actually the NSA is spying on Tucker Carlson and every gizmo and gadget that we have
00:16:01.280 is spying on all the rest of us, including our microwaves in our refrigerators. China has a social
00:16:06.480 credit score. Oh yeah, we would never have that, right? We would never ostracize people and
00:16:10.160 deplatform them and take away their ability to use financial institutions and put them on the no-fly
00:16:14.500 list just because they're political dissidents, right? Oh, wait a second. We're doing the exact
00:16:17.440 same thing. Really weakens our argument on the foreign stage. And speaking of our adversaries,
00:16:23.740 we're looking really, really weak on the foreign stage right now because, I mentioned this at the
00:16:28.240 end of the show yesterday, we just officially lost the war in Afghanistan. Soldiers didn't lose the
00:16:34.980 war. Soldiers did a great job. Soldiers are the toughest fighting force in the world, but the
00:16:39.240 political leadership did. And now we're being chased out by the Taliban. So the United States
00:16:44.360 is evacuating Afghanistan. The United States is pulling out somewhat rapidly under Joe Biden.
00:16:51.600 This sort of began under Trump, but it's continuing under Biden. And as the United States leaves,
00:16:56.880 the Taliban is just coming back and taking over all these cities. Much faster, actually,
00:17:02.660 than Joe Biden told us would happen. So actually, now the United States needs to send 3,000 soldiers
00:17:08.860 back into Afghanistan just to make sure that our embassy officials and our remaining soldiers and our
00:17:15.960 translators aren't slaughtered by the Taliban before they can all get out. Afghan government forces,
00:17:22.260 according to the Associated Press, are collapsing even faster than U.S. military leaders thought
00:17:28.400 possible. The Taliban, which ruled the country from 1996 until after the United States invasion,
00:17:35.360 after 9-11, has captured three more provincial capitals Wednesday. Probably that number is even
00:17:39.660 higher now. I haven't checked in the last hour. The 10th and 11th cities that the insurgents have
00:17:45.500 taken in a week-long sweep that has given them control of two-thirds of the country,
00:17:48.860 which is more or less what they had before 9-11. Joe Biden, of course, the adult in charge.
00:17:54.920 Finally, we've got stable leadership. He told us that this was not going to happen.
00:17:59.680 How serious was the corruption among the Afghanistan government to this mission failing there?
00:18:07.320 Well, first of all, the mission hasn't failed yet. There is, in Afghanistan,
00:18:13.940 in all parties, there's been corruption. The question is, can there be an agreement on unity
00:18:24.420 of purpose? What is the objective? For example, it started off, there were going to be negotiations
00:18:30.640 between the Taliban and the Afghan National Security Forces and the Afghan government that
00:18:38.140 that didn't come to fruition. So the question now is, where do they go from here? The jury is still
00:18:48.900 out, but the likelihood there's going to be the Taliban overrunning everything and owning the whole
00:18:54.980 country is highly unlikely. Highly, highly unlikely. It's highly unlikely. It happened immediately, but it's
00:19:01.720 highly, highly unlikely. Oh, this will just two weeks to slow the spread. Oh, Hunter Biden didn't
00:19:08.400 lose his laptop to the Russians. Oh, this, that, and the other thing. Is it any wonder that these
00:19:14.840 people have no credibility whatsoever? Don't worry, though. Don't worry. The United States has a
00:19:20.560 strategy. They know how they are going to stop the Taliban from overrunning the country and undoing 20
00:19:27.000 years of whatever we've been trying to do in Afghanistan. Do you know how they're going to do it?
00:19:30.560 But it's not the 3,000 troops. That's just to get our guys out of there without them being
00:19:34.300 slaughtered. The way they're going to do it, and this is really, I did not expect this strategy.
00:19:39.480 They are going to tweet at the Taliban, Taliban known for its Twitter presence. They are going to
00:19:46.500 tweet snarky hashtags. And that, that, oh, you thought 20 years of military action and occupation was
00:19:53.540 going to do it. No, no, no. The Twitter hashtag will. Quote, this is from the U.S. Embassy in Kabul.
00:19:57.520 Escalating Taliban violence, including executions of surrendered Afghan troops,
00:20:04.320 shows a lack of respect for hashtag human rights. Don't erase Afghanistan's human rights gains of the
00:20:14.240 last 20 years. Yeah. What are you going to do with that, Taliban? Yeah. What are you going to do with
00:20:21.500 that, huh? You know, frankly, I wish, I wish that we had known about this in 2001 and 2002. I guess
00:20:28.300 Twitter didn't exist in 2001 and 2002. Would have saved us a whole lot of time and money and treasure
00:20:34.000 and blood and effort in Afghanistan to accomplish, as far as I can tell, absolutely nothing. This is very
00:20:42.400 sad. This is very sad for American servicemen who served in Afghanistan.
00:20:50.500 What was accomplished? The one thing you could say was accomplished is that we killed Osama bin
00:20:55.640 Laden, but we got him in Pakistan. We didn't even get him in Afghanistan. We got him many years later,
00:21:00.640 but okay, let's say that's it. You go, you kill Osama bin Laden. Great. So, so what are we doing? I
00:21:06.580 guess in a moment of candor, if you really, if you got a few drinks in the state department officials
00:21:11.620 who have been sort of managing this thing or the Pentagon officials, probably what they would tell
00:21:16.160 you is we're just treating Afghanistan as a sort of overseas imperial territory, and we're just going
00:21:21.540 to be there and we're just going to kind of manage it. They probably wouldn't tell you this on
00:21:26.320 television because I don't think the American people want an overseas empire in Afghanistan. And by the
00:21:31.620 way, Afghanistan is known as the graveyard of empires. But to what end? What, what's the point?
00:21:38.000 What does victory even look like? The United States has not been able to define that in at least a
00:21:43.060 decade at this point. And so now we pull out having accomplished very, very little because the adults
00:21:50.760 are now in charge. What time is it? Well, a lot of people are waking up to what time it is. One way you
00:21:56.080 can wake up to what time it is, is with a movement watch. I love a good time piece. I love a
00:22:01.560 wristwatch. I have since I was eight years old and I got my first watch and I have loved them ever
00:22:06.560 since. And I do have a fair number of watches and, you know, I just got two more movement watches
00:22:12.480 yesterday. I did. Movement, man, they are changing the game. In a tiny apartment in Southern California,
00:22:18.900 two college dropouts teamed up to create a watch company that broke all the rules. They had fair
00:22:22.940 prices, unexpected colors, really clean original designs. Movement grew into one of the fastest
00:22:28.000 growing watch brands shipping to over 160 countries around the globe. They also now have blue light
00:22:33.580 glasses, which are great. They protect your eyes from screens. They've got minimalist jewelry. They've
00:22:38.080 got a lot of style essentials that won't break the bank. You get a beautiful watch shipped right to
00:22:42.600 your door for free. If you don't love it, you ship it right back. No big deal. Go check it out. I
00:22:46.300 really love their automatic watches. So it's got an automatic movement that, so you don't need
00:22:50.020 batteries or anything, but the battery watches are great too. I really love my, my movement
00:22:54.020 watches. If you want to elevate your look with style that doesn't break the bank, join the movement.

00:23:11.740 Obviously on the foreign policy front, obviously on the economic front, obviously the population's
00:23:16.320 literally dying. That's not good. And if you ask the Democrat ruling class for an answer for all of
00:23:26.040 this madness, do you know what they're going to tell you? They're going to tell you they're doing
00:23:30.880 great. They're going to tell you, don't believe your lying eyes. Don't know. Actually, do you know
00:23:36.660 people are actually just envious of the way that Democrats are running this country? So wind Governor
00:23:45.180 Gavin Newsom of California just the other day. Well, let's talk about what we all saw number one
00:23:49.840 in Stephanie. And guys, forgive me. I know I'm a little pointed today, but I've been taking a lot
00:23:56.420 from few folks for a lot of months. So it's nice to be able to express myself too. But I do with deep
00:24:06.460 pride in this state as a California, not as a, I'm a future ex governor. It could happen in a few
00:24:12.520 weeks, could happen in a few years. But I love this damn state. We're number one in job creation,
00:24:17.180 tentpole the Americano, 559,000 jobs. Eat your heart out, Texas, Florida. It'd be damn nice
00:24:23.760 if our homegrown teams start focusing on what's right. Everybody outside this state is bitching
00:24:31.280 about this state because of our success. And I'm proud of it. I'm not naive about our competitive
00:24:36.380 liabilities. And that's why we're trying to address them. Yeah, that that's why that's why
00:24:42.740 everybody's talking about California is because of your success, your success at spiking the crime
00:24:47.600 rate, your success at having record levels of homelessness, your success at such extraordinarily
00:24:52.900 high taxes and regulations that not just conservative businesses like my business that moved out of here.
00:24:58.340 That's why I now live in Tennessee. But even liberal businesses are fleeing the state because they can't do
00:25:03.180 business anymore. Your success at locking people in their homes, shutting down their churches,
00:25:08.780 completely upending their way of life. Meanwhile, subsidizing crime all over this. That's why.
00:25:14.980 That's why everyone is fleeing your state. He's obviously feeling the heat right now.
00:25:23.060 And he's feeling the heat because you had a couple of candidates who were sort of unknown,
00:25:27.400 little known Republicans in California who were not going to pose a big challenge to Gavin Newsom
00:25:31.320 as a recall effort. Then you had the Bruce Jenner thing, which was obviously a sideshow. It was
00:25:36.160 one of the greatest gifts you could possibly give the Democrats that Bruce Jenner running and splitting
00:25:41.560 the Republican Party. But then you had Larry Elder throw his hat in the race. And Larry Elder is a
00:25:47.940 pretty mainstream guy. And Larry Elder's got a lot of name recognition. And Larry Elder can raise a lot
00:25:52.600 of money. He's been raising millions and millions of dollars. And Larry Elder is very likable.
00:25:56.480 And Larry Elder is quite conservative, though, you know, he's still somewhat libertarian. He's
00:26:02.240 still a little bit more in that acceptable, moderate California wing. He's a real candidate,
00:26:07.940 is what I'm saying. And Gavin Newsom is obviously feeling the heat from that. And so I think this
00:26:13.820 performance that he's put on is a combination of genuine desperation, but also some campaign
00:26:19.120 advisor saying, Gavin, you got to get tough. People want you to be tough. And it's not working
00:26:24.800 very, very well. And it's not working well, not because of the lack of a performance. You know,
00:26:31.060 Gavin Newsom is a slick politician. He's obviously made it very far. He's talented as far as politicians
00:26:35.520 go. It's not working because at a certain point, you can't deny reality. At a certain point,
00:26:43.960 the liberal establishment, which controls the media, controls every form of communication,
00:26:49.540 it lies and lies. And right now it's lying about COVID numbers among children, hospitalizations
00:26:55.180 among children. That's another story that just came out. The reason for this, of course, is that
00:26:58.420 one of the arguments against forcing kids to mask in schools and forcing young kids to get the vaccine
00:27:03.420 is that the virus doesn't pose a particularly lethal threat. Well, now major news organizations
00:27:07.580 are having to admit that they're actually inflating the numbers of child hospitalizations from COVID
00:27:12.180 because that would be a way to promote this narrative. But even that's falling apart because we've got
00:27:17.460 eyes and we see what's going on and we see what we're paying at the grocery store and we see what
00:27:21.380 we're paying at the gas tank and we see our troops being chased out of Afghanistan because of failed
00:27:25.800 political leadership. And we just see it. We just see it. We see the crime on the streets in L.A.
00:27:30.500 My neighbor, I lived in a pretty nice neighborhood in L.A. I had a little tiny apartment like a lot of
00:27:34.620 people do in L.A., but it was supposed to be a nice neighborhood. It became a homeless camp by the
00:27:38.400 time I left. Even then, every other neighborhood basically was like that. So it's just, they just can't
00:27:45.740 sell it anymore. They just, even, even when they try to affect their plans, their schemes in the
00:27:52.660 dead of night, even that I think people are keeping their eyes open, especially Senator Cruz. Senator
00:27:58.920 Cruz, I don't just say it because he's a friend of mine. I don't just say it because we host a show
00:28:03.960 together. He did some truly magnificent senatoring this week and it happened in the dead of night.
00:28:11.540 So a lot of people didn't pay attention to it. There was a bill. It was the number one
00:28:15.640 priority for Democrats. H.R. 1, the first house resolution and S.1, the first Senate resolution.
00:28:21.780 It's called the For the People Act. That's what they call it. It's really the Corrupt Politicians
00:28:25.300 Act. It's a way to federalize federal elections or federalize rather congressional elections and some
00:28:30.120 others and take away election integrity measures and just try to make it so that politicians can't be
00:28:35.300 booted from office. And Chuck Schumer, because he's a really smart, clever politician and a good
00:28:39.580 tactician, he tried to ram this thing through in the dead of night and he very well could have
00:28:44.900 gotten it through. You needed one objection to stop it. And Senator Cruz, because he's a little bit,
00:28:51.100 I say this with great love, he's a little bit of a nerd. He knows the rules. He knows the way these
00:28:54.700 procedures work. Senator Cruz caught him and he stood up to offer that objection and he single-handedly
00:29:00.320 stopped possibly the most corrupt legislation that's gone through the Congress in my lifetime.
00:29:06.000 This bill would constitute a federal government takeover of elections. It would constitute a
00:29:13.540 massive power grab by Democrats. It would disenfranchise millions of Americans. And it would do precisely
00:29:21.660 the opposite of its nominal title for the people. It is instead for the politicians because it
00:29:29.700 entrenches politicians and ensures that the people cannot vote them out of office. It would strike
00:29:36.200 down virtually every reasonable voter integrity law in the country, including voter ID laws supported by
00:29:42.960 the overwhelming majority of this country, including prohibitions on ballot harvesting, again, widely
00:29:48.680 supported by people in this country. It would mandate that felons be allowed to vote and it would
00:29:54.300 automatically register millions of illegal aliens to vote. It would profoundly undermine democracy in
00:30:00.400 this country. And for that reason, I object. For that reason, I object. A lot of things going
00:30:06.220 terribly wrong in this country, but there are a few people paying attention, a few, and all it takes is a
00:30:11.920 few well-organized people to fight back against this sort of thing, to fight back against what you might
00:30:16.580 call the authoritarian moment. That's the title of Ben's new book available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble,

00:31:39.100 Welcome back to my favorite time of the week, The Mailbag. Josiah writes, Dear Michael,
00:31:44.580 My wife and I have been married for 10 years. We have a nine-year-old daughter. We've made it this
00:31:50.160 long, but we disagree on politics and religion. Ooh, stuff. I'm a conservative and she's a liberal.
00:31:55.700 Though she says she believes in God, she has no interest in praying, going to church, or reading
00:31:58.940 the Bible with me. As our daughter has gotten older, we've clashed more and more regarding what
00:32:03.480 and how we want to teach her, and it's becoming very difficult to find common ground. Any thoughts?
00:32:08.240 Thank you. Well, you're in a tough position, and you're in a tough position because the answer
00:32:16.820 to your problem actually lies in a kind of broad worldview and specifically in religion.
00:32:26.120 And because your wife and you disagree on that, really what you're saying is you disagree on marriage
00:32:31.920 itself because conservatives have, generally speaking, a different view of marriage than liberals
00:32:36.960 do. And Christians certainly have a different view of marriage than modern secularists do.
00:32:41.620 And so the short answer to your question is you need to be the head of your household.
00:32:47.960 And this entails you loving your wife. This entails you being a good steward, loving your wife as Christ
00:32:54.000 loves the church, which is no small request. But it also gives you the responsibility of making
00:33:02.040 these sorts of decisions and leading your household. However, your wife may disagree with that
00:33:07.460 because your wife is more liberal and because perhaps your wife is irreligious, though maybe she
00:33:14.120 would say otherwise. So it remains true. The only way out of this is for you to lead your household
00:33:20.740 and to either through persuasion or confidence or just plain old-fashioned leadership, persuade your
00:33:29.100 wife, you know, bring your wife along on that. But it's very important that you give your daughter
00:33:35.440 a view of the world. Your daughter's going to have some view of the world. She's either going to have
00:33:38.560 your view of the world or your wife's view of the world or some completely separate view of the world.
00:33:43.860 But there's no middle ground between I'm a Christian and I'm an atheist. The middle ground is
00:33:51.460 like Buddhism. I don't know. There isn't a middle ground. You just have to make a decision. I know
00:33:57.520 that we're all very nice these days and we all want to just get along with everyone and no one wants to
00:34:02.140 say no to anything. But no, some things are true and some things are false and some things are good and
00:34:06.720 some things are bad and some things are right and some things are wrong. And you have to come down on
00:34:10.660 the side of that. And it's very hard because by the way, when we say that the husband has to be the
00:34:15.740 head of his household, this is generally speaking not something that men are clamoring to do. I think
00:34:20.440 there's this idea that men are all just knuckle-dragging monsters who all they want to do is boss
00:34:24.280 everyone around like Caligula or something. But that isn't the case. In my experience and knowing my
00:34:29.820 friends as well, mostly what men want to do is lie on the couch and eat potato chips. I would say that
00:34:35.820 would be the main thing we want. We don't actually want the responsibility of making all of
00:34:40.240 these decisions. I get into this disagreement with my wife sometimes and she's always right.
00:34:46.780 We'll be talking about, okay, we've got one night off. Maybe there's a babysitter or something. We're
00:34:50.580 going to go out to dinner. What do you want for dinner? I don't know. Maybe, what do you want,
00:34:54.520 Italian? I don't know. Maybe Italian. Maybe do Chinese. I don't know. What do you want? What do you
00:34:58.060 want? What do you want? What do you want? We'll go back and forth for about 15 hours on this
00:35:02.640 question. What do you want? What do you want? And eventually she'll say, hey, head of household,
00:35:05.720 make a decision already. Genesis three, get it done. Let's go man up. And she's right. But I
00:35:11.980 don't want to do that. And very often, very often men don't want to do that, but you got to buddy. So
00:35:16.200 I, I wish you luck because it's a, I don't mean to make light of your situation. It's pretty tough,
00:35:22.040 but that's what you're called to do. From Sarah. One of my friends is a transgender woman. I, so meaning
00:35:28.900 he's a man who now identifies as a woman. I use his pronouns to his face, but the rest of the time,
00:35:34.780 like now I call him by his proper pronouns. He's a very good friend and I've been able to tolerate
00:35:38.920 his transgenderism because of that. He sent me a text last night saying he just scheduled his
00:35:43.240 appointment for gender reassignment surgery. That is to say, genital mutilation. Up to this point,
00:35:49.000 I've kept my mouth shut because I really can't stand to watch him make this horrible and life
00:35:52.720 altering decision. How should I approach him about this? I care about him and I don't want to see him
00:35:58.080 hurt himself, but he seems pretty dead set on it. Thanks so much. Facing the trans factor,
00:36:01.900 a trademark. Tough situation, actually related, I guess, to the previous question, which is,
00:36:09.080 sometimes love requires people to say difficult things. I'm always reminded of the bio tapestry,
00:36:17.840 which is this wonderful art piece about the battle of Hastings in 1066. And there's a great panel on it
00:36:22.400 where it's a man holding a club and he's smacking other men on the head. And it says, here, Bishop Odo,
00:36:28.680 holding a club comforts the boys. We don't think of comfort as smacking someone on the head with a
00:36:34.520 club, but that's what he was doing because the boys were retreating and Odo said, no, you got to
00:36:37.320 get back into the battle. And sometimes we have to say harsh things. Coincidentally, I actually have
00:36:42.300 a column coming out on this in the Daily Wire today, which is related to Texas's decision to
00:36:48.160 classify a trans surgery for kids as child abuse. And I said, that's good. I'm glad they're banning the
00:36:55.160 trans surgery for kids. Now we ought to do the same for adults. And the reason for that is not
00:36:59.920 because I want to prevent people from following their hearts and their dreams and their passions,
00:37:03.740 but it's because the genital mutilation of transgender surgery is harmful. It's wrong.
00:37:10.240 It isn't right. It is not good for anybody, even the people who are suffering with this delusion that
00:37:16.060 they're women, even if they're actually men. It's not good for anyone. We're calling it child abuse,
00:37:22.660 not only because the children can't consent to it, but because it's an actual mutilation. And so
00:37:26.480 it remains a mutilation for adults. And so what I would recommend, you can send your friend my
00:37:31.740 column when it comes out, but you can also turn him to people who have had immense transgender regret.
00:37:37.600 I'm thinking of people like Walt Heyer. He's become pretty outspoken about this. He was a man who
00:37:43.240 suffered from sexual confusion and gender issues all the way back until he was four years old. And then at
00:37:48.940 the age of 40, he began his process of identifying as transgender. He transitioned, you know, he had
00:37:55.320 the mutilation at 42, and then it didn't solve his problems. For a brief period of time, he thought it
00:38:01.820 did, but it didn't solve his problems. And then at 50, he transitioned back. And you're seeing more and
00:38:06.360 more stories about this. A lot of young people are transitioning back. This is a hideous, faddish
00:38:11.960 ideology that is overtaking people. And I think it's certainly akin to the performance of lobotomies
00:38:20.140 in the previous century, you know, all these quack medical procedures. And so I do fear that your
00:38:24.840 friend will regret this. And I think you ought to just, you ought to just tell him that. And part of
00:38:29.140 the confusion might be that you've indulged his delusions until now, but I don't know that it's an
00:38:33.840 act of respect to indulge people's delusions in this way. I think it might actually be more respectful
00:38:39.160 and be more of an act of love to tell him what you really think. From Camille,
00:38:43.300 Dear Mr. Knowles, with all of the dating advice or tips that exist today, one that keeps popping up
00:38:48.920 is that men will immediately put women in a box of whether they would date this woman, just want to
00:38:54.220 hook up, or have nothing to do with them. Is this true that guys immediately categorize the women they
00:38:59.320 meet and there isn't much a woman can do to change how the men perceive them? Sincerely, nobody puts
00:39:03.960 this baby in a box. It is true that men put women in a box. It is also true that women can do things to
00:39:13.580 change this perception. So they can do things in their general behavior. If a man walks into a party and
00:39:20.780 sees a woman doing a keg stand, you know, in a bikini, being held up by the four brawniest members of the
00:39:27.560 football team, he's probably not going to immediately think, this is wife material. I want
00:39:33.020 this woman to raise my children. Now, it may be the case that plenty of women have done this at some
00:39:40.120 point in their lives, but they don't, you know, you don't want that perception always to be out there.
00:39:45.660 That would be the first part of it. Also, it can be the case that, let's say, you know,
00:39:50.500 the guy sees the girl doing the keg stand with like 15 dudes, like grabbing under her legs and they
00:39:55.140 hook up. But then later on, he realizes this was actually sort of an aberration and this does not
00:40:01.460 represent her general disposition and personality. I have seen, I have seen one night stands turn into
00:40:08.100 weddings. I have, and actually good marriages too. So that can happen as well, but you should be
00:40:14.640 cognizant of the, and I know this is very politically incorrect, but you should be cognizant of the fact
00:40:19.840 that your behavior will play a role in this. It's not just the terrible men and, you know,
00:40:26.140 they're not feminist or woke enough. It's your behavior too that will, that will play a role in
00:40:30.760 this. We all make judgments on a level that is not always totally conscious based on what people
00:40:36.260 are wearing, based on sort of behavior people are engaging, based on the circumstances in which we
00:40:40.400 see people. And so if you are more interested in getting married than just hooking up, which is a good
00:40:47.040 idea, then you should be cognizant of that when you go out, when you dress, when you put yourself in
00:40:51.940 situations. From Evan. Hello, Mr. Knowles. I will be visiting family for the first time since coming
00:40:57.540 out as a conservative and voting for President Trump in 2020. Do you have any tips or tricks to
00:41:02.660 help me get through this? I won't go looking for trouble, but I also won't sit there and take the
00:41:07.360 attacks. I greatly appreciate your advice and I love the show. Thank you. It can be a little tricky
00:41:11.800 because the left is more vindictive than the right. The left is more likely to instigate a political
00:41:21.320 fight at a dinner table than the right. This is always the case. The reason for this, by the way,
00:41:25.740 I'm not even saying it's because of something that's gone totally broken in their souls.
00:41:28.940 It may or may not be, but there's a cultural aspect here too, which is that liberalism is the
00:41:35.480 culture that is the dominant culture. So when you dissent against that, you're the weird one.
00:41:41.800 You are looked on as the heretic. And because the liberal establishment has all of the power,
00:41:48.040 they're just more likely to feel ready to go after you and to persuade you. So I would recommend,
00:41:55.560 sure, don't just take it. Don't say something that you don't believe, obviously. But I would do it with
00:42:00.780 a smile on your face. And I would do it, you know, I would jab a little bit more than I would throw a
00:42:05.560 right hook. I don't think right hooks are great for the dinner table. But little jabs can be perfectly
00:42:09.580 fine if your relatives are really going after you for this. You know, you might mention the fact
00:42:16.620 that Hunter Biden is a criminal degenerate who has given our enemies lots of compromise. And he's
00:42:24.360 at least as corrupt as, well, obviously they're much more corrupt than the Trump family, but
00:42:30.260 equally corrupt perhaps to the Clinton family. Oh, right. That other major democratic family. You know,
00:42:35.820 you can get these little jabs in here of, you know, if they say, oh, everything's so much better
00:42:41.720 under Biden. You say, yeah, you know, it was until I went to fill up my gas tank. Yeah, it was until I
00:42:46.080 went to go by. It was until I went to go to, go out and live my life. I mean, there are all these,
00:42:51.200 but I wouldn't throw that right hook though, because don't forget the purpose of a family event
00:42:55.840 is not to win a political argument. The purpose of a family event is to be with your family and to have a
00:43:01.200 family. And so don't take it, but keep in mind what the, what the goal is. From Garrett, dear
00:43:06.580 quoter of famous theologians, for years I've noticed that, that quotes from various historical
00:43:12.340 figures such as St. Augustine or C.S. Lewis, just roll off your tongue. Do you prepare these quotes
00:43:16.920 in advance or are they just stored in your mind? If stored, how did you compile such an array of
00:43:21.800 quotes and how might you advise one to follow suit sincerely? Would be learner of famous quotes.
00:43:26.240 Well, you know, Winston Churchill said that if a man lacks an education, he ought to get a good book
00:43:32.900 of quotations. And this is true. This is very important. I don't prepare them for the show.
00:43:37.960 I do just have a lot of quotes in my head. In part, this might be because I had a somewhat
00:43:42.380 insufficient education. And so I've really gone looking for little pearls of wisdom elsewhere.
00:43:47.380 And you should do it too. Part of it is, at least when I was in school, maybe it's still true,
00:43:51.840 we had to memorize poetry. I also have worked as an actor before and I always loved that craft as
00:43:59.860 well. And so memorization is a skill that I've worked on a lot. You can work on it too.
00:44:04.840 One thing I would recommend is just memorize a poem every few days. It seems kind of weird,
00:44:10.720 I know, but it's easier to memorize poetry than it is to memorize prose, obviously because there's a
00:44:15.740 rhyme and there's a meter and rhythm to it. And then just, you know, when you come across a good
00:44:21.360 line, whether you're reading it or whether, truly, whether like Churchill, you've got a book of
00:44:25.400 quotations, just record it, highlight it, underline it because it really can beef up some of your
00:44:32.960 arguments when you're having, you know, if I say, for instance, this is my view on taxation because
00:44:38.620 my buddy Joe Schmo said so. Or if you say, this is my view on taxation because St. Augustine said so,
00:44:45.040 that's obviously going to be more persuasive. So just as a tactic, I think it can be very helpful
00:44:49.920 and well worth your time. All right, that's it. That's our show. See you Monday. I'm Michael
