The Michael Knowles Show - Ep. 825 - These Idiots Want Control Over You

00:00:00.000 As Afghanistan collapses and no one in our federal government wants to take any responsibility for it, 1.00

00:00:05.440 our woke chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has finally stepped up to explain what happened.

00:00:10.860 The problem you see with the withdrawal and subsequent collapse of Afghanistan

00:00:15.060 is that no one knew it would happen.

00:00:18.480 The time frame of a rapid collapse that was widely estimated and ranged from weeks to months

00:00:26.420 and even years following our departure.

00:00:31.120 There was nothing that I or anyone else saw that indicated a collapse of this army and this government in 11 days.

00:00:41.760 Ignorance is not an excuse, sir.

00:00:45.300 Excuse me, I would ask you to use my preferred pronouns, son.

00:00:48.720 Sorry, sir. It's ma'am.

00:00:50.740 Okay. Frankly, ignorance may be the best excuse this administration has.

00:00:55.340 Of all the press conferences that we have seen over the past few days,

00:00:59.160 from the chairman of the Joint Chiefs to the defense secretary to the president himself,

00:01:04.800 the sad fact is that the most coherent of them all was probably from the Taliban.

00:01:11.260 I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.

00:01:20.340 Welcome back to the show.

00:01:21.340 My favorite comment yesterday is from Bobby, who says,

00:01:23.820 I like how libs always say they own it or take responsibility

00:01:27.560 and then refuse any type of punishment or negative fallout.

00:01:31.280 Yes, this was. I'm glad you picked up on that.

00:01:33.380 This was the defining feature of Joe Biden's speech on Afghanistan.

00:01:36.520 He said, I take responsibility. The buck stops here.

00:01:38.980 And it was all Trump's fault.

00:01:39.960 And it was the Afghan army's fault. 0.98

00:01:41.140 And it was the State Department's fault.

00:01:43.420 And it was everyone's fault but mine.

00:01:44.580 But I take responsibility.

00:01:45.760 It's a brilliant little trick.

00:01:47.560 I'm sure it helps them rest easy at night.

00:01:49.540 And if you want to rest easy, I would recommend you check out MyPillow.

00:01:52.820 There's a lot of bad, terrible, woke, awful companies out there, aren't there?

00:01:58.260 There's a great patriotic company too.

00:02:00.380 A great conservative patriotic company that stands by you and your values.

00:02:03.660 That would be MyPillow. 0.86

00:02:04.560 But frankly, I would shop for MyPillow even if they were communists,

00:02:08.740 perhaps even if they were run by the Taliban.

00:02:10.360 Because MyPillow makes great products.

00:02:13.480 MyPillow created the new Giza Dream bedsheets.

00:02:16.220 They look and feel great.

00:02:18.220 It means an even better night's sleep.

00:02:20.880 MyPillow found the world's best cotton called Giza. 0.91

00:02:24.000 It's ultra soft and breathable but extremely durable.

00:02:27.740 MyPillow sheets come with a 60-day money-back guarantee and a 10-year warranty.

00:02:31.920 The first night you sleep on the Giza sheets, you will never want to sleep on anything else.

00:02:37.120 Giza Dream sheets come in a variety of sizes and colors.

00:02:39.400 They're fabulous.

00:02:40.360 Slept on them last night.

00:02:41.620 They felt great.

00:02:42.440 They always feel great.

00:02:43.460 Right now, sale of the year, you get them for $49.99.

00:02:48.180 Go to MyPillow.com.

00:03:03.320 Make sure you use promo code DailyWire.

00:03:06.340 So the woke general Mark Milley,

00:03:09.200 chairman of the joint chiefs, says,

00:03:12.240 hey, don't blame me.

00:03:13.540 I had no idea that that could happen.

00:03:16.140 As if that excuses it.

00:03:18.180 It's like, well, yeah, you should know that that could happen, pal.

00:03:21.180 That's your job.

00:03:22.340 In fact, that might be the single most important aspect of your job right now,

00:03:27.960 is knowing what is going to happen during this major American military withdrawal from a place

00:03:34.460 that we've been in for 20 years.

00:03:36.680 You should maybe know the options of what could happen.

00:03:40.120 The defense secretary was not any better.

00:03:43.580 Frankly, he was worse.

00:03:44.800 Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was asked at a press conference with General Milley,

00:03:48.660 hey, what about all the Americans that are over here?

00:03:52.120 Can you guarantee that the Americans will get out before the American military leaves?

00:03:58.060 And he says, nope.

00:04:00.100 And I would draw a distinction between extracting someone in an extremist condition or circumstance

00:04:10.840 versus going out and collecting up large numbers of American citizens.

00:04:16.440 Do you have the capability to go out and collect Americans?

00:04:19.700 We don't have the capability to go out and collect up large numbers of people.

00:04:24.520 Oh, my goodness gracious.

00:04:27.180 This guy makes Milley look competent. 0.99

00:04:31.240 And Milley is useless. 0.84

00:04:33.240 You'll remember that Milley was testifying before legislators on Capitol Hill. 0.94

00:04:38.060 And he was asked about the imposition of critical race theory materials in the reading lists for the troops.

00:04:44.820 And he defended it.

00:04:46.160 He defended it very, very strongly.

00:04:49.020 He said, we need, I want to understand Marx and Marxism and not just understand it, by the way,

00:04:55.880 but actually push materials that were promoting it.

00:04:58.000 I want to understand white rage.

00:05:01.000 Maybe, maybe if the Taliban had been motivated by white rage,

00:05:06.600 maybe then Milley's plans would have worked out beautifully.

00:05:10.180 But unfortunately, white rage had nothing to do with it because white rage is not a threat to this country.

00:05:15.060 Certainly, certainly not a threat to our withdrawal from Afghanistan so much as the Taliban and Islamism, 0.99

00:05:22.820 which we can't talk about.

00:05:24.200 And by the way, Milley blew it.

00:05:27.960 Lloyd Austin blew it.

00:05:30.640 Joe Biden did marginally better.

00:05:34.320 And the reason he did marginally better is he was finally asked to take questions from the press.

00:05:38.800 He was doing an actual press conference.

00:05:40.100 You remember he gave that speech on Afghanistan and then just ran out of the room

00:05:43.380 and didn't want to take any questions from the press about it after.

00:05:45.700 So he's finally taken some questions.

00:05:48.080 But the only thing he wanted to talk about was the coronavirus and the vaccines and Republican governors.

00:05:55.840 Unfortunately, as you've seen throughout this pandemic,

00:05:59.400 some politicians are trying to turn public safety measures,

00:06:03.080 that is children wearing masks in school,

00:06:04.760 into political disputes for their own political gain.

00:06:08.160 Some are even trying to take power away from local educators by banning masks in school.

00:06:15.760 They're setting a dangerous tone.

00:06:19.220 For example, last week at a school board meeting in Tennessee,

00:06:24.260 protesters threatened doctors and nurses who were testifying making the case for masking children in schools.

00:06:31.740 Intimidation and the threats we're seeing across the country are wrong.

00:06:37.660 They're unacceptable.

00:06:39.820 I've said before, this isn't about politics.

00:06:43.220 It's about keeping our children safe.

00:06:46.480 Who cares about coronavirus?

00:06:51.400 Nobody, nobody cares.

00:06:53.680 It's just not that big a deal.

00:06:55.260 The country that we've been occupying for 20 years just collapsed with thousands of Americans behind enemy lines

00:07:02.000 in an event that we were told could not happen, was not going to happen there.

00:07:06.200 You have no plan to get them out.

00:07:07.880 And you're talking about a cough? 0.97

00:07:09.620 You're talking about a freaking cough? 0.98

00:07:12.620 Nobody cares, buddy. 0.97

00:07:15.020 Oh my goodness.

00:07:16.320 You know who doesn't care about coronavirus?

00:07:18.600 The Taliban.

00:07:19.980 You'll know, do you know who doesn't care about coronavirus?

00:07:21.780 The Afghan people.

00:07:22.820 Do you know who doesn't care about coronavirus?

00:07:24.760 The American soldiers and civilians who are in Afghanistan.

00:07:27.780 You know why?

00:07:28.300 Because it just doesn't matter that much.

00:07:30.820 The only masks right now in Afghanistan are the Taliban fighters and the burkas that they're putting on all the ladies. 1.00

00:07:37.580 That's what, that's, those are the masks.

00:07:39.000 And it's not to keep out the virus or slow the spread. 0.99

00:07:42.780 Why, why oh why is Joe Biden talking about this stupid cough that doesn't matter relative to other events in the world? 0.99

00:07:51.140 It's not an accident. 1.00

00:07:53.700 It's not a mistake.

00:07:55.100 It's not a flub or a gaffe.

00:07:56.600 It's very intentional.

00:07:58.740 The reason, and I've seen the polling on this, the reason is that Joe Biden's approval rating and favorability numbers are tanking.

00:08:07.480 They're collapsing just about as fast as the nation of Afghanistan, the former nation of Afghanistan, over his mishandling of the withdrawal.

00:08:16.120 They're collapsing over his handling of immigration.

00:08:19.900 They're collapsing over his handling of so many aspects of our national policy.

00:08:24.200 The only area where Joe Biden is posting consistently positive numbers is coronavirus because he and the public health bureaucracy are keeping everybody scared for the longest 15 days in human history.

00:08:39.240 They're just going to, they're just going to try to wring out this fear mongering for as long as they possibly can.

00:08:43.060 So it is to Joe Biden's political advantage only ever to talk about coronavirus and never to talk about the economy, immigration, least of all Afghanistan. 0.98

00:08:54.940 He went on for something like 15 minutes about the stupid virus and the governors that are doing a much, much better job handling the virus than he is. 0.96

00:09:02.500 And then at the end of that, without really addressing the issue, the big issue in the room, he just left. 0.99

00:09:11.760 We just need to finish the job with science, with facts and with confidence.

00:09:17.100 And together, as the United States of America, we'll get this done.

00:09:21.580 God bless you all and may God protect our troops.

00:09:24.140 Thank you.

00:09:24.520 The nearest we came to an actual confrontation of this problem that's going on in Afghanistan that he told us wasn't going to happen was at the very end.

00:09:40.280 He said, yeah, these governors are terrible and COVID, it's the scariest thing ever and you all need to be really afraid of it forever.

00:09:45.860 And okay, God bless our troops.

00:09:47.820 Bye.

00:09:48.060 See ya.

00:09:48.460 Peace.

00:09:49.520 I'm not a crook.

00:09:50.080 See ya.

00:09:50.320 Bye. 0.98

00:09:51.800 Pretty pathetic stuff. 0.98

00:09:52.880 So we've seen now three press conferences. 0.95

00:09:57.140 Four, if you include Joe Biden's address about Afghanistan that didn't take any questions from the press.

00:10:02.320 So you've got three major ones from top officials in the United States responsible for what's going on in Afghanistan.

00:10:08.160 There was an actual fourth press conference related to this issue.

00:10:12.220 That one was on sort of the other side of the battle.

00:10:16.900 That one was put out by the Taliban.

00:10:18.600 Taliban, and it kills me to say it, it was by far the most coherent and serious press conference of any of them.

00:10:27.820 The Taliban put on a much better show. 0.98

00:10:30.820 The Taliban treated the press with far greater respect.

00:10:35.620 And the Taliban were much more verbose and much more willing to discuss what happened than anybody on the American side. 0.52

00:10:47.220 Which should be no surprise, by the way, because the Taliban won. 0.94

00:10:52.460 They won.

00:10:53.560 I don't think they won because the American troops weren't fighting hard enough.

00:10:56.940 I don't think they won because they actually even won any proper battles in recent years.

00:11:02.920 They won because the political leadership just bungled it.

00:11:06.720 They bungled the mission.

00:11:10.040 They bungled the definition of what was going on there.

00:11:13.020 They bungled the government building.

00:11:15.000 Obviously, the government collapsed in 11 days.

00:11:17.060 They bungled building up the Afghan military.

00:11:20.100 They bungled the withdrawal.

00:11:21.840 They bungled every aspect of it.

00:11:24.760 And so the Taliban came in. 0.79

00:11:27.460 Now, they tried to assuage fears in the West.

00:11:31.880 Fears about terrorism.

00:11:34.100 Fears about drug smuggling and human smuggling.

00:11:36.700 And they also took a few shots at the West that landed.

00:11:40.400 That actually cut to the heart of some of the hypocrisies in the Western regimes.

00:11:46.320 Taliban later, sitting there in the presidential palace, holding the press conference, first is asked,

00:11:52.420 Are you going to allow al-Qaeda to fester?

00:11:55.520 How about your relationship with al-Qaeda?

00:12:03.340 Do you still have a connection with them?

00:12:05.340 Yeah, I have to talk about the foreign fighters.

00:12:15.340 We want to reassure that Afghanistan will not be used against anybody.

00:12:23.840 Whoever wants to take advantage of our soil, our country, we will not be allowed.

00:12:29.520 They will not be allowed.

00:12:33.520 Secondly, the government is being formed.

00:12:37.200 There will be law and order.

00:12:39.080 Just a few days, be patient.

00:12:43.480 Yeah, and very soon, I promise that you will have a government and a rule of law.

00:12:48.060 Okay, so on its face, there's no reason to believe the Taliban.

00:12:52.920 These guys generally don't deal in good faith, and they hate America.

00:12:58.200 As they took Kabul, they were chanting, 0.89

00:13:00.220 Death to America!

00:13:01.020 Do you remember?

00:13:01.560 There was that reporter, that American reporter, who said,

00:13:04.040 You know, they're chanting death to America, but they seem friendly.

00:13:07.020 And so, there's no reason necessarily to believe them, except for this.

00:13:10.520 The last time that the Taliban permitted terrorists to plan an attack on their soil

00:13:19.620 against the United States, we killed tens of thousands of them

00:13:23.940 and drove them from power for 20 years.

00:13:26.380 So, yes, we didn't totally vanquish the organization.

00:13:30.120 Yes, they did come back into power.

00:13:32.160 But that is a pretty strong slap on the wrist

00:13:34.500 when you have tens of thousands of your brothers in arms killed,

00:13:39.280 and then you are kicked out of power for two decades.

00:13:43.500 That actually might change their behavior a little bit.

00:13:47.680 And if not, I imagine the United States will just go back in

00:13:50.400 and start mowing them down again.

00:13:53.060 Again, no reason to take the Taliban at their word whatsoever. 0.99

00:13:56.500 But unless they're complete maniacs, 0.95

00:13:59.920 they might tone it down a little bit with the state sponsorship of terror.

00:14:05.120 Then the next question, once you deal with a terror problem,

00:14:07.960 the next question is drugs.

00:14:10.040 The main crop in Afghanistan is opium.

00:14:13.400 That is their export. 0.99

00:14:14.720 That's what they make.

00:14:16.220 A lot of drug trafficking goes on in Afghanistan and from Afghanistan.

00:14:21.520 And the Taliban, probably the only positive thing you can say about them 1.00

00:14:26.160 is that when they came into power, they stopped the opium.

00:14:29.980 They cut it out.

00:14:30.640 They stopped the production of opium.

00:14:32.060 Now they are saying they will stop it again.

00:14:34.700 They are giving the assurance to Afghanistan 0.99

00:14:36.920 that there will be no production of drugs in Afghanistan.

00:14:40.480 When we were in power, the cultivation of opium was in zero.

00:14:51.660 But during the government, the past government,

00:14:59.860 the opium cultivation was on high.

00:15:02.840 Drug production was happening.

00:15:04.040 But we will be against that.

00:15:06.680 There will be no drug production, no drug smuggling.

00:15:14.200 We saw today that our young people were on drugs near the walls.

00:15:19.560 This was making me very, very sad that our youth, our young people were addicted.

00:15:29.820 Afghanistan will not be a country of cultivation of opium anymore.

00:15:34.720 So I mentioned this bit.

00:15:36.620 One, it's not surprising.

00:15:38.560 The Taliban, this is not them lying.

00:15:40.880 They actually are against the production of opium in the country.

00:15:43.500 I mention it, though, just to show how serious they're presenting themselves in this press conference.

00:15:50.280 Now, what they're desperate for right now is international recognition.

00:15:53.620 They're sending emissaries to China and to Russia and to Iran and all over the world

00:15:58.060 to try to get international recognition.

00:15:59.780 So they want to present themselves as a fully formed, real nation state within the international order.

00:16:06.820 And one way that they can do that somewhat persuasively is say,

00:16:10.140 we're really going to crack down on opium.

00:16:11.740 And they're saying we need the help of the international community for this

00:16:14.120 because we need investment in Afghanistan,

00:16:16.440 because if there's no investment, then they're all just going to make drugs again.

00:16:20.240 Okay, they're putting on a good show.

00:16:22.460 Then I think probably the most effective aspect of their press conference

00:16:26.480 was they were asked about freedom of speech.

00:16:29.820 And they said to the Western world,

00:16:32.260 before you accuse me, take a look at yourself.

00:16:34.360 This question should be asked to those people who are claiming to be promoters of freedom of speech

00:16:47.660 who do not allow publication of all information.

00:16:52.340 I can ask Facebook company.

00:16:56.780 This question should be asked to them.

00:16:58.140 There is something, it's in a very dark way, but it's still funny. 0.98

00:17:03.880 There is something so funny about hearing this absolute maniac monster Islamist leader 1.00

00:17:10.340 saying like, 0.99

00:17:11.120 And you say, hold on, wait, what was that word?

00:17:15.580 And then you look to the translation.

00:17:17.120 And he's saying, don't attack us over free speech.

00:17:19.360 What you people in your civilization do is you let three unelected billionaire oligarchs 0.95

00:17:25.680 led by hipster Rasputin, Jack Dorsey, and Zuckerberg and Sundar Pichai

00:17:29.340 censor everybody, including the duly elected sitting president. 0.81

00:17:32.400 He didn't quite put it in those words, but that's the point he's making.

00:17:35.840 And that's a good point.

00:17:37.300 That's a good point.

00:17:38.200 The United States no longer has credibility,

00:17:41.880 the Western world broadly,

00:17:42.940 no longer has credibility to lecture anybody on freedom of speech

00:17:46.400 because our freedom of speech has not only been curtailed in practice.

00:17:50.480 Right now, if I go onto social media and I say,

00:17:53.420 don't mutilate children's sex organs and pump them full of cross-sex hormones.

00:17:58.000 If I say that, there is a fair chance I will be kicked off of that platform

00:18:01.660 or temporarily suspended.

00:18:02.900 Many people who are listening to the show right now probably have been.

00:18:05.860 If I go on there and I say,

00:18:07.440 I think there were some problems with the 2020 election.

00:18:09.820 I could be suspended.

00:18:10.820 If you question the regime, you could be suspended for that.

00:18:13.660 If I go on there and I say,

00:18:14.940 you know, I'm really wondering about the efficacy of masks.

00:18:18.100 I could be suspended at slowing the spread of coronavirus.

00:18:21.520 You know, I have some health concerns about the safety of these vaccines.

00:18:24.740 You could be suspended.

00:18:25.440 There are many, many reasons for which you could be suspended

00:18:30.460 and kicked out of the public square

00:18:32.460 because these tech companies control 90% of the flow of information around the internet.

00:18:36.360 So we have no credibility to lecture anybody else in the world on freedom of speech

00:18:42.520 because it's not even just the particular.

00:18:44.900 It's not even just what we're allowed to say, what we're not allowed to say.

00:18:47.820 It's who decides what we're allowed to say and who we're not allowed to say,

00:18:52.280 what we're not allowed to say.

00:18:53.960 Because it's not even we, if it were we the people setting our own standards,

00:18:57.740 as is the traditional practice in America,

00:19:00.740 setting our own taboos, setting the limits of discourse,

00:19:04.460 fine by me,

00:19:05.120 but it's not.

00:19:06.640 It's three radical billionaires.

00:19:09.200 No credibility whatsoever.

00:19:12.280 No credibility whatsoever.

00:19:15.340 Part of the reason that we don't have the credibility,

00:19:19.100 one, to answer these charges,

00:19:21.260 but two, even to really occupy the country any longer in a serious way

00:19:25.880 is because our country itself is not unified.

00:19:29.700 I was discussing this topic with a friend of mine

00:19:32.440 who's, you know, very strongly in favor of staying in Afghanistan forever 0.51

00:19:36.360 and, or nearly, very nearly forever.

00:19:39.460 And he said, you know, look, we stayed in Western Europe

00:19:42.920 after the Second World War.

00:19:44.520 We stayed there for decades and decades.

00:19:45.900 We stayed in Japan.

00:19:46.900 We stayed in Korea.

00:19:48.720 Not just to have bases there, but to build up their countries.

00:19:51.940 You say, I suppose, I suppose that's true.

00:19:54.400 There are some differences.

00:19:55.260 I mean, even Japan was a real country.

00:19:57.300 Afghanistan's never really been an actual nation.

00:19:59.340 But, but even beyond that, America was very different

00:20:04.440 in the 1940s and 1950s than it is today.

00:20:08.240 America was a much more unified country.

00:20:10.220 America was a much more stable country.

00:20:11.940 America was a country that knew what it believed.

00:20:14.820 America no longer knows what it believes.

00:20:17.880 America is burning down its own cities.

00:20:20.900 Last summer, America does not trust the results of presidential elections.

00:20:25.160 Not this one, not the last one, not many in recent years.

00:20:28.120 America, because it doesn't have the will to, to be a nation even anymore,

00:20:35.840 because America is pulling down her own statues, her own leaders, her own forebears.

00:20:42.760 America has a harder time projecting strength over.

00:20:47.080 Forget about being an empire.

00:20:48.940 We've got to first be a nation.

00:20:51.740 Can't do that. 0.98

00:20:52.560 And you see people on the left, silly people on the left, continuing to egg this on. 0.95

00:20:58.100 People on the right, I think, have had enough of it. 0.94

00:21:01.400 But people on the left, I think, are the aggressors here.

00:21:04.120 I don't, I don't think I'm being hyper-partisan or biased or whatever.

00:21:07.860 I mean, the, the cultural revolution started from the left.

00:21:10.540 That's just an undeniable fact of history.

00:21:12.420 I trace it in my book, Speechless.

00:21:13.640 It began with the left hollowing out our institutions, the universities, the federal government, certainly.

00:21:21.000 Hollywood, the media, all turned against the country.

00:21:24.520 Now big technology adds on to that.

00:21:28.600 Upending every standard, upending every belief, debunking, deconstructing everything that we cherish.

00:21:34.620 Even upending our own language.

00:21:35.940 So we don't even speak the same language anymore.

00:21:37.460 So it is at any, is it any wonder that the left in this country views the right as, just as much their enemy as the Taliban.

00:21:46.720 I mean, this is what Stephen Colbert, the leftist comedian, alleged comedian on CBS late night.

00:21:54.320 This is what he said about, consider that we're no different than the Taliban.

00:22:30.580 We'll be right back with a lot more.

00:22:32.480 The Late Night host Stephen Colbert, a left-winger, sees no difference between American conservatives and the Taliban.

00:22:51.560 He's right.

00:22:52.900 We've had troops there for 20 years.

00:22:55.380 They fought.

00:22:56.340 They sacrificed.

00:22:57.300 Their families sacrificed so that we wouldn't have a terrorist attack in America planned in a foreign country.

00:23:04.820 Why should our soldiers be fighting radicals in a civil war in Afghanistan?

00:23:08.860 We've got our own on Capitol Hill.

00:23:11.120 Got our own on Capitol Hill.

00:23:12.840 January 6th.

00:23:13.720 You know, the insurrection.

00:23:15.000 You know, remember that?

00:23:15.940 The worst coup d'etat in American history.

00:23:18.160 Because the horn guy danced around the Capitol.

00:23:20.040 You remember?

00:23:20.320 Because the smiley guy took Pelosi's lectern. 0.99

00:23:24.400 Ridiculous. 0.99

00:23:25.320 Ridiculous. 0.97

00:23:26.560 In comparison to the actions of the Taliban or Al-Qaeda, of course, the January 6th people did absolutely nothing. 0.64

00:23:35.600 In comparison to American leftists in 2020, the January 6th people did absolutely nothing.

00:23:40.700 You're right.

00:23:41.020 We do have insurrectionists and terrorists in the country.

00:23:43.200 They burned down multiple cities during 2020, including federal courthouses and police stations and private businesses and private homes.

00:23:53.280 And they killed a lot of people.

00:23:55.060 And they were all on the left.

00:23:56.400 And they all got a pass.

00:23:57.880 And they're all protected by the regime.

00:23:59.460 Is it any wonder we're so divided?

00:24:02.000 This is how they feel, though.

00:24:03.860 It's perfectly fine for the left to do that because the left is part of the regime.

00:24:07.200 And the right can't do that because the right is out.

00:24:09.620 The right is scapegoated and ostracized.

00:24:13.740 There's an ad that just went up in New York City.

00:24:18.140 You can see it on some of the subway stations.

00:24:20.500 It's a doctor pointing a needle at a person.

00:24:24.720 And it's a person wearing a hat with an upside-down American flag on it, which actually has a lot of symbolism to it.

00:24:30.840 We'll get to it in a second.

00:24:32.140 And he's screaming.

00:24:32.980 And he's saying no.

00:24:33.540 And his hands are up like, please, stop.

00:24:34.940 Don't.

00:24:35.580 And it says, get the effing vaccine.

00:24:37.540 And then a doctor forcibly jabbing it into this person.

00:24:43.200 The needle's not quite in him yet, but it's obviously in that direction.

00:24:45.620 The guy's saying no.

00:24:47.900 Now, as you'll be well aware, vaccine hesitancy in New York City is not mainly a function of right-wing white male Trump supporters.

00:25:00.620 Vaccine hesitancy in New York City is, in large part, among black New Yorkers, majority of black New Yorkers, not vaccinated.

00:25:11.200 And I don't think that they are mostly Trump supporters.

00:25:13.800 But the idea here is that the Trump people are not only the cause of our various sort of mundane national problems and political issues. 0.99

00:25:23.780 The Trump supporters are murderers. 0.95

00:25:26.020 They're murderers not just in Capitol Hill where they, according to fiction, murdered police officers. 0.99

00:25:32.740 It didn't happen, but the New York Times said that it did.

00:25:35.360 Later, they had to admit that it didn't, but no one followed up on the correction.

00:25:38.040 They're murdering people through the disease, and they're the cause of it.

00:25:41.880 They're the cause of the germs.

00:25:43.080 They're the cause of the cough.

00:25:44.200 They're the cause of the death.

00:25:45.280 Blame them.

00:25:46.600 You see the hat that they're wearing.

00:25:47.820 It's not a full-on MAGA hat, but it is a red hat, and the American flag is upside down.

00:25:51.820 Now, what does that mean?

00:25:52.520 The American flag upside down represents a nation in distress.

00:25:57.220 So there are two ways to read that.

00:25:59.160 One is that the awful Trump supporters mistakenly believe that the nation is in distress, but it's not.

00:26:07.560 You see, the nation is perfectly fine.

00:26:09.320 They just can't get with the program. 1.00

00:26:10.700 They're so ridiculous. 1.00

00:26:11.660 Just take the effing vaccine. 1.00

00:26:14.180 Or it's a symbol that they are the cause of the nation's distress.

00:26:18.880 That's even more shocking.

00:26:20.340 Both are shocking, but that's even more shocking.

00:26:22.720 They're the problem.

00:26:23.520 America will not be safe and stable and orderly and just until these guys are taken care of.

00:26:30.940 So take the effing vaccine.

00:26:34.880 There's another one right next to it.

00:26:36.000 Wear the effing mask.

00:26:38.000 If the liberal regime had any credibility, they wouldn't need the edgy posters.

00:26:46.180 They wouldn't need the swear words.

00:26:48.760 This is what happens.

00:26:49.640 People like Les So Colbert, a little bit Colbert, John Stewart, and John Oliver, certainly, they don't make points.

00:26:57.240 They don't make arguments.

00:26:58.640 I mean, they're comedians, but even comedians are supposed to make a point, right?

00:27:01.560 That's what's funny about it is they're making an observation, and it has logic, and it has reason to it.

00:27:05.340 And they don't do that generally.

00:27:07.020 What they do is they'll just make an observation, they'll just state a fact about the world, and then they'll state it more loudly and say the F word.

00:27:14.940 They'll say, like, you should take the vaccine.

00:27:19.840 Take the effing vaccine, you know, and then it's like, oh, okay, I guess that he said the F word and yelled it.

00:27:24.500 So I suppose that, how persuasive, wow, you got me.

00:27:27.660 If they had arguments that were persuasive, they wouldn't need to do that.

00:27:31.840 People don't need to yell and scream and use all sort of vulgar language and threaten you if they are persuasive.

00:27:38.620 But also, the regime doesn't need to be persuasive.

00:27:41.060 One, it can't be, but two, it doesn't need to be because they've got all of the power.

00:27:46.300 Get the effing vaccine.

00:27:47.460 If you don't get the vaccine, what's going to happen to you?

00:27:49.460 Well, if you go to Quinnipiac University, it's a university in Connecticut, and you do not get the vaccine, you will not have access to the internet.

00:28:00.920 You will not, I'm serious.

00:28:03.400 Quinnipiac University just sent out an email to students announcing lots of fines and fees, some of which are quite expensive.

00:28:10.800 Hundreds of dollars, thousands of dollars for not taking the experimental drug about coronavirus.

00:28:17.340 The email also announced that unvaccinated students will lose access to the university's Wi-Fi system if they don't meet the vaccination requirements by September 14th.

00:28:27.040 So you basically just can't.

00:28:29.300 You can be there, you can continue to pay them tuition and room and board, but you won't be able to do anything.

00:28:34.440 Now, you might argue, in the case of Quinnipiac, you might argue, look, whether the school is right or wrong about the actual medical science and the public health benefit, what they're trying to do here is protect the safety of students.

00:28:49.180 Maybe I don't agree with their methods or even with their perception of the threat of coronavirus, but they're trying to protect public health.

00:28:59.160 Okay, maybe you can say that.

00:29:01.640 Maybe you can say that.

00:29:02.420 In New York right now, the majority of black New Yorkers are no longer allowed into museums.

00:29:09.060 This policy officially went into effect two days ago.

00:29:12.040 It will not be enforced until September 13th.

00:29:17.000 It will not be enforced citywide, but the policy officially went into effect, even though it won't be enforced.

00:29:22.080 What does that mean?

00:29:22.980 Government's complicated, I guess, especially in New York.

00:29:26.400 But assuming that the policy is the policy, if you're unvaccinated, you can't go into museums,

00:29:31.280 which means that well over two-thirds of black New Yorkers cannot go to, I think the vaccination rate among black New Yorkers right now is something like 28%.

00:29:39.940 So, the majority of them, 72%, can't go into museums anymore.

00:29:45.680 One imagines this will raise some civil rights questions.

00:29:50.360 Something about that seems wrong, doesn't it?

00:29:52.300 But still, you might say, okay, it looks a little ugly, especially on the racial politics here.

00:29:57.900 But still, the New Yorkers are just trying to protect public health.

00:30:01.520 Okay, well, I've got proof for you that this is not about protecting public health.

00:30:06.380 The proof is the Las Vegas Raiders, the Raiders, football team, opening up the stadium and saying,

00:30:18.340 if you want to come to the game, you need to take the shot.

00:30:22.820 So, what happens if you show up and you've got your football ticket, but you don't have proof of vaccination?

00:30:28.480 You can either leave or they will give you the shot at the stadium.

00:30:35.880 Wow, okay, and then if you get the shot at the stadium, you can go in, but you've got to wear a mask.

00:30:41.240 Do you see the problem here?

00:30:43.140 Do you see how they've just admitted that this is not about public health?

00:30:47.340 When you just receive the shot, you are not actually immunized against the coronavirus or any other virus.

00:30:56.900 When you receive a shot, in the minutes and hours after you receive that shot, you do not have immunity.

00:31:02.400 The way vaccines work is it takes some time, days or weeks.

00:31:05.780 That's what the health officials tell us happens with coronavirus.

00:31:08.280 If you want to prove that you're vaccinated, it's not enough to get the shot.

00:31:12.980 You've got to then wait several weeks and show enough time has passed.

00:31:17.340 So, they don't care if people come in who are not inoculated against the coronavirus.

00:31:24.440 Now, you do have to wear the mask though, right?

00:31:27.360 That's the difference.

00:31:28.140 If you're fully vaccinated, you don't need to wear the mask.

00:31:30.280 If you're vaccinated, you need to wear the mask.

00:31:32.300 Or if you're not fully vaccinated, you have to wear the mask.

00:31:35.980 But if that's the case, then just let people come in with the mask.

00:31:39.680 Why do you need to stick them with the needle?

00:31:42.420 The effect on immunity is going to be exactly the same.

00:31:45.080 The effect on public health is going to be exactly the same.

00:31:47.100 By your own admission.

00:31:49.500 Because this is not about public health.

00:31:52.300 This is not about the immunity or the spread or the this or the that or the other thing.

00:31:59.080 We've already been told that the virus is spreading somewhat significantly among people who have the vaccine.

00:32:05.320 Though perhaps the symptoms of it are mitigated.

00:32:08.300 We're already told that vaccinated people need to wear the masks.

00:32:13.540 It's about the imposition.

00:32:15.920 It's about not just what these people are deciding, these people without credibility.

00:32:21.440 But it's about who gets to make the decisions.

00:32:24.380 By the way, lots of evidence that these coronavirus lockdowns are very bad for your children's health.

00:32:33.780 Study just came out from the British Medical Journal.

00:32:37.280 And this was of personal interest to me because I had a child that was born during the coronavirus lockdowns.

00:32:45.180 British Medical Journal, very respected medical journal, has a piece out.

00:32:49.100 It says, children born during the coronavirus lockdowns score 22 points lower on IQ tests.

00:32:55.000 So, this is a longitudinal study of 672 kids from Rhode Island.

00:33:01.700 It has run since 2011.

00:33:04.220 So, it's obviously long before the lockdowns and the pandemic.

00:33:08.560 And it's measuring students' average IQ score, the Mullen Scales of Early Learning.

00:33:15.280 And it shows that children born during the lockdowns scored an average IQ of 78.

00:33:23.160 That's a drop of 22 points from the average of previous cohorts.

00:33:27.760 This study was funded before.

00:33:30.480 I know YouTube's going to try to take me off for this, for reading this study.

00:33:33.420 This study was funded by the NIH.

00:33:36.480 It was funded by the United States National Institutes of Health.

00:33:39.440 It is a waiting peer review.

00:33:40.600 Peer review is fake anyway.

00:33:41.640 But it's a waiting peer review before its publication in JAMA Pediatrics.

00:33:45.800 But a preprint copy is available online.

00:33:47.340 It's being pushed out here by the British Medical Journal.

00:33:49.800 Here's what the study says.

00:33:50.860 We find that children born during the pandemic have significantly reduced verbal, motor, and overall cognitive performance compared to children born pre-pandemic.

00:34:00.000 Moreover, we find that males and children in lower socioeconomic families have been most affected.

00:34:04.800 Results highlight that even in the absence of direct coronavirus infection and COVID-19 illness,

00:34:10.720 the environmental changes associated with the COVID-19 pandemic have significantly and negatively affected infant and child development.

00:34:18.720 So this is the key here. 0.99

00:34:19.800 The question is, well, maybe it's just the virus that's making these kids dumber. 0.99

00:34:23.000 It's not. 0.65

00:34:24.280 The researchers ruled that out largely because mothers or children with a history of testing positive for COVID were excluded from the analysis.

00:34:32.340 This makes perfect sense, by the way.

00:34:34.620 This is pure common sense.

00:34:36.100 If you take kids who are learning so rapidly, right?

00:34:39.680 Little kids are just little sponges.

00:34:40.960 So they're learning by seeing people's faces, seeing their expressions, going out, seeing the neighborhood, seeing different stores and restaurants and church and just taking in all of this information.

00:34:50.600 If you lock them inside and then put filthy cloth over your face and you don't even let them see your expressions, then that's going to be a problem.

00:34:59.080 Now, fortunately, I don't think this is going to be a problem for my cute little baby boy whose doctor says he's very advanced.

00:35:04.640 He told me that just a couple days ago.

00:35:05.900 I'm sure he never says that to any other parent. 0.98

00:35:07.880 It's not going to be a problem for my little baby boy because my wife and I have basically ignored all of the stupid health suggestions from the CDC and from the politicians and from the public health establishment. 0.96

00:35:20.260 I'm not saying we've gone out licking doorknobs, but we've just ignored what we think are ineffective, onerous, imprudent, pointless rules.

00:35:29.100 And I'm damn well glad that we did because there's now this study showing, it's a study from a real journal funded by the NIH, which just ostensibly is a real institution, that shows that this is having a really negative effect on people because there are consequences of these lockdowns even beyond the spread or mitigation of the cough.

00:35:51.460 I feel we cannot let a day go by at this point without playing a clip from Libs of TikTok, one of my favorite Twitter accounts.

00:36:02.320 And I do this not merely, by the way, to make fun of these silly people on TikTok or wherever.

00:36:10.280 That's part of it, too. 0.89

00:36:11.220 I won't deny it.

00:36:12.160 But I do it because, and I think this is the reason behind Libs of TikTok's Twitter account, I do it because I want to remind people that the kooky ideas that float around the academy or that float around the elite circles of this country have an actual effect on the ground among ordinary people who are just spouting off on social media.

00:36:34.220 The crazy academic theories that began in the fever dreams of lunatic psychologists, medical doctors, theorists, people like Paul Money, people like Wilhelm Reich, people like the Western Marxists who had an effect on the academy in the 20th century.

00:36:51.980 Those ideas among all those super sophisticated people with lots of books and fancy lab coats, those have an effect on the culture pretty directly.

00:36:59.760 So this video going around TikTok of this kooky lady, she's a preschool teacher, discussing how elated she was to see how quickly her preschoolers took to radical gender theory and the perfectly ordinary normal talk about kids' genitals.

00:38:18.540 We need to ban theater kids from ever participating in society. I say this as a

00:38:24.940 former theater kid. So I, you know, I did the, I, I, but we got to, I am calling for a complete

00:38:31.980 and total shutdown of theater kids until we figure out what the hell is going on.

00:38:37.240 Because this cannot, cannot be allowed to stand. The most depressing part of this video, by the way,

00:38:43.080 is not that this woman has access to preschoolers. It's not that she is talking about genitals at

00:38:51.840 the lunch table with preschoolers. It's not even that. It's that the older teacher comes in

00:38:58.740 and sees this horrific offense taking place and is shocked. Okay. So you're like, oh, good,

00:39:05.160 good. Finally, some, some reason here. Shocked in a good way. Oh, no. I give up. I give up.

00:39:15.200 I give up. Get me out of here. This is sort of educational apparatus that is raising your

00:39:23.620 children and you're sending them there. When I was a kid, we didn't go to preschool. I guess some

00:39:27.580 people did. I didn't go to preschool. When my father was a kid, people didn't really go to

00:39:30.900 kindergarten all that much. Now it's, you know, you'd start school at either six or five. I started

00:39:36.360 at five. Now it seems you start at four or three. Some people, I kid you not, I have friends and

00:39:41.740 relatives who send their kids to school at two. And then you stay in school longer. It used to be,

00:39:46.700 if you graduated high school, you were fine for most jobs. And now it's, you have to get some

00:39:50.100 associates, maybe a bachelor's, maybe a master's. I mean, I know people who can't write an English

00:39:54.540 sentence who are getting master's degrees, which is insane. You shouldn't, but the idea is you are now

00:40:00.240 in this educational apparatus to raise your children to comport with the dictates of the

00:40:06.880 liberal regime. You're there for forever. I mean, you're there for now, what, 20 years sometimes?

00:40:14.360 Not good stuff. Not good stuff. Maybe we need to start taking a more active role in educating

00:40:19.640 people. Maybe when we criticize the bizarre kooky theories of people around the world, we ought to,

00:40:24.620 we can do that just fine, but we ought to criticize our own and maybe fix those as well. 0.94

00:40:28.880 We are being governed by psychopaths. Before we go, I have to, I have to play this clip. This came

00:40:37.280 out from the World Economic Forum. This is an organization basically of just global elites,

00:40:41.880 neoliberal elites who want, who want to rule the world and in many ways do rule the world. And

00:40:46.460 they're telling us how wonderful the COVID lockdowns are. Yeah, maybe it made your kid an

00:40:50.660 idiot, but you know, it's really going to be wonderful. Maybe it shut down your church and 1.00

00:40:54.020 your business and took away a lot of your money and your rights. But hey, it's going to be better for

00:40:57.120 you in the long run because we are going to have even more control. Take a listen.

00:41:04.520 Five ways the pandemic could reshape our lives in the long term. This is the text popping up.

00:41:09.520 One, offices will be reimagined. Ooh, okay. The shift to homeworking will mean offices can serve

00:41:15.500 different functions. They could be used as a client showroom. Okay. Yeah. Research lab. Yeah. Well,

00:41:21.400 we already have those. Or somewhere to meet with and reconnect with colleagues. Well, why do we need to

00:41:25.300 reconnect? We used to just be with them every day. No, no. You'll just work at home forever in your

00:41:29.020 pod. The advent of 15 minute spaces. Neighborhood hubs could replace some of the perks we miss not

00:41:33.440 by not commuting to the office. So maybe they'll have gyms or bars or art galleries or networking

00:41:38.940 opportunities. Yeah. We'll just build all these new things and you would be no more than a 15 minute

00:41:43.440 walk from your home. Okay. Wow. That's nice. Work more. The rise of cloud markets, ghost kitchens,

00:41:50.020 restaurants that solely deliver takeaway meals exploded in popularity during the lockdowns.

00:41:55.160 Well, these could morph into cloud markets. Okay. Okay. Analytics driven services that license and

00:42:00.540 deliver food to you from a range of brands. You don't get to go to the restaurant, but we'll bring

00:42:03.940 slop to your pod. Number four, you could be identified by your heartbeat. Facial recognition systems are

00:42:09.420 often stumped by face masks, but your heartbeat is just as unique as your face. So NASA has developed

00:42:16.300 a system that can ID you from your heartbeat using a laser. Number five, digital technology

00:42:22.300 will change the, hold on. Wait, what a second. Wait, what was the number four? Hold on. Yeah.

00:42:26.140 The technology and the learning and that's, and then I know the museums and the cloud. Uh,

00:42:31.320 no, after the, I want to go to the one after the cloud market, but before the digital or, oh,

00:42:37.760 NASA invented laser beams that will identify you by your heartbeat. So that even if you mask,

00:42:45.540 you can't hide from the surveillance state. Isn't that great? Isn't that, this is the one,

00:42:51.600 this is the new normal. This is the great reset. Get used to it. You'll own nothing and you'll be

00:42:56.580 happy. I'm Michael Knowles. This is the Michael Knowles Show. See you tomorrow.
