The Michael Knowles Show - Ep. 843 - The Super Legit California Recall

00:00:00.000 The years-long effort to recall California Governor Gavin Newsom Nussolini, Patrick Bateman,

00:00:06.600 has failed. The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff reportedly promised to side with China

00:00:12.300 over the United States in the event of war between the two nations. And the funniest man in the world,

00:00:17.720 who also happened to be one of the wisest people in public life, has died totally unexpectedly.

00:00:24.900 Tough couple days. Even still, all hope is not lost. I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael

00:00:29.320 Nussolini. Welcome back to the show. My favorite comment yesterday is from Armando Rivas, who says

00:00:42.020 the only thing Joe Biden united was Americans hating him. That's true. I actually think that's true

00:00:49.720 of basically all presidents and kings and dictators and any sort of political leader. In a way,

00:00:58.360 their function is to unite people against them. That's usually the effect. But the difference

00:01:04.280 between Biden and some of his predecessors is that he actually deserves it. Because, look,

00:01:09.700 you've seen what's going on in Afghanistan. You've seen what's going on in immigration. You've seen

00:01:14.520 what's going on, especially in the economy, notably inflation. And when inflation is running crazy,

00:01:19.020 I would strongly recommend you go check out Acre Gold. I know the dilemma. You want to invest

00:01:24.820 in physical gold, but you're not old rich uncle penny bags. And so you feel that you cannot come

00:01:30.340 out of pocket and start buying physical gold. But what if I told you you can start investing in

00:01:34.920 physical gold for as little as $30 a month? You lie, Michael. I don't, I don't lie. I don't lie.

00:01:40.580 Calm down. Okay. You can do that with Acre. Acre allows you to invest in their gold bars,

00:01:47.200 subscribe to their gold bars. And then when your gold stash reaches the price of their gold bars,

00:01:51.500 they will discreetly ship Acre Gold to your door. They've also got a new $100 a month subscription

00:01:56.740 to a five gram gold bar if you want to up the ante. I have really enjoyed investing in physical

00:02:01.820 precious metals. I think it's a good investment to make, especially in kind of crazy economic times,

00:02:08.180 such as the ones we're living in. I've enjoyed investing in Acre Gold right now. Go to

00:02:11.540 getacregold.com slash know. Start investing in physical gold today. Make sure you go to this URL

00:02:15.900 because Acre is giving away a gold bar to qualify for the giveaway. Tweet or post why you should be the

00:02:19.500 recipient. Mention at get underscore Acre. That's getacregold.com slash Knowles. Thank you,

00:02:24.180 Acre Gold, for supporting the show. The recall effort against Gavin Newsom appears to have failed.

00:02:31.460 I don't think they've officially called the race yet because we've totally upended our election

00:02:36.180 system. So now the counting goes on for days and days and weeks and weeks, and they've got to find

00:02:40.880 new batches of mail-in ballots, and it's all really, really suspect. But from the early numbers,

00:02:47.620 it appears that the recall failed in a landslide. So the insurgent campaign by Larry Elder, who did

00:02:54.660 better than I think just about any Republican candidate could have done in California, and he

00:02:59.760 got a lot of support and was polling very well in the surveys before election, I was going to say

00:03:07.100 election day, but it's really now election month or so. He really put up a good campaign, and yet

00:03:12.140 Gavin Newsom appears to have won. First question I've got for you, do you trust the results?

00:03:22.740 I tweeted this out. I said, do you trust the results? Overwhelmingly, people said no.

00:03:29.160 That's a different question than did Gavin Newsom actually win, or did he actually get more votes

00:03:34.700 to not be recalled than the recall vote got? There are different questions. You can think

00:03:41.060 that even fair and square, the recall failed, and also think that it wasn't fair, and also think that

00:03:50.220 it wasn't above board, and also think there was a lot of fraud. When I ask the question,

00:03:56.240 do you think the election was fair? Do you think it's legit?

00:03:59.220 Shit. I'm actually not even asking a question about Gavin Newsom or Larry Elder or Joe Biden 1.00

00:04:05.960 or Donald Trump or anybody like that. I'm asking a question about our form of government.

00:04:14.180 Increasingly, in recent years, on both sides of the political aisle, people do not trust the

00:04:19.940 integrity of our elections. How long did we hear about Russia and the collusion and Trump stole it in

00:04:25.600 2016? Then in 2020, they upended the entire election system, took away basic safeguards for election

00:04:31.380 integrity, and those measures remained in place during this California recall. Widespread mail-in

00:04:36.660 ballots sent out to people. Sometimes people received multiple ballots. Sometimes dead people

00:04:42.440 received ballots. Sometimes the ballots that people got had holes in them where you could see whether or

00:04:46.740 not they voted for the recall. You had ballot harvesting in California. You had people, we played

00:04:52.440 it on the show, local news showing up. They show up to the ballot in the morning, and the election

00:04:58.960 workers say, oh, you've already voted. The people say, I haven't already voted. They say, well,

00:05:02.800 our records show that you have. It's clear that I'm not just talking about individual acts of fraud.

00:05:09.460 I'm saying the whole system does not have integrity. There are always questions about votes, but especially

00:05:16.460 since the ruling class used the coronavirus as an excuse to take away all of our election integrity 0.96

00:05:22.780 measures, people, I don't care what side of the aisle you are on, but especially conservatives,

00:05:28.780 it's a widespread problem, but it's, you know, in particular among conservatives because we're

00:05:32.780 outside of the ruling class, they just don't have faith in the system. And Gavin Newsom is really upset

00:05:39.300 about that. He says, if you have any questions about how elections are conducted, you ought to be ashamed

00:05:43.560 to yourself. Election fraud stuff is a crock. It's shameful and it's shameful. And I say that,

00:05:50.380 I mean that as an American, I'm, I'm ashamed. I'm disgusted by it. Stop, grow up. These people

00:05:56.760 literally are vandalizing our democracy and trust in our institutions. I care too much about this nation.

00:06:03.720 I care too much about this country. We're debating democracy in America right now. This big lie,

00:06:09.720 this insurrection. What the hell's wrong with these folks? Grow up. Accept the results. There's 0.86

00:06:15.960 absolutely none. It's embarrassing to even respond to that because it's a fantasy. They're making stuff

00:06:22.360 up and it's hurting our country. Forget this election. Guys like me come and go. We are a dime

00:06:27.560 a dozen politicians, quite literally a dime a dozen. It's about our institutions, about this nation.

00:06:33.880 It's about trust and confidence. It's about who we are. It's about citizens feeling empowered and

00:06:39.660 that their voice matters. It's a hell of a thing. It's a hell of a thing. Do you like Huey Lewis in the

00:06:45.780 news? You know, I think their crowning achievement is hip to be squared, which is not just, no, I don't,

00:06:50.120 I can't, I can't look at that guy without seeing American psycho. And he is a psycho because he's gaslighting 0.97

00:06:56.400 all of us. He's saying, if you, you're attacking our democracy. If you, if you criticize us for 1.00

00:07:04.560 removing all of the election integrity measures that defend our democracy. I mean, look, this guy

00:07:08.560 is a crook machine politician. He's tied into the ruling families of California. I don't think the 0.98

00:07:14.660 election was conducted fairly. I think probably the elect, the recall wouldn't have worked even if the

00:07:19.380 election were conducted fairly. Okay. I'm not, I'm not saying that, that actually a huge avalanche of

00:07:26.600 voters voted to throw out Gavin Newsom and there was a massive, you know, 70% California support for

00:07:32.280 Larry Elder and the ruling class held it in. I'm not saying that. I think probably the recall would

00:07:36.180 have failed anyway, just how the voter registration works in California. But here's what I do know.

00:07:40.340 The election was not conducted fairly. When you have widespread mail-ins, it's not fair. When you have

00:07:45.020 holes in your ballot envelopes, it's not fair. When you have motor voter laws and ballot

00:07:49.280 harvesting, it's not fair. When you have people showing up to vote and they're told they already

00:07:53.660 voted, it's not fair. Okay. This guy is a crook. His political party is cheating and the ruling class

00:07:59.560 is extremely corrupt. And people are absolutely right not to have faith in those institutions or

00:08:05.120 those elections. It's not the fault of the people. It's your fault, Gavin Newsom. And it's your fault,

00:08:09.600 Nancy Pelosi. And it's your fault, crooked ruling class. And, and what's so offensive on top of it is 0.99

00:08:15.260 not just that you're destroying our constitutional order. It's that you're lying to us about it and,

00:08:20.660 and you're gaslighting us while you do it. That's the problem. That is what is shameful, I think.

00:08:25.540 That is what is shameful. But I, I have said from the beginning, the, the idea that the recall effort

00:08:31.780 would work, even if it were a totally fair election, was, was slim. Is there, did Larry Elder do better

00:08:38.140 than we all thought he would? Or than, than the ruling class and the Democrats thought he would? Yes,

00:08:42.960 he did. But, but the, the problems in California are structural and the problems in California are

00:08:48.900 also just, just numbers games. The number of Democrats vastly, vastly outnumbers the number

00:08:54.560 of Republicans. Beyond California, the, the, the ruling class is so hollowing out our constitutional 0.68

00:09:05.900 order that you now have the nation's top general, according to a new report from Bob Woodward,

00:09:11.600 you have the nation's top general colluding with our, our country's number one geopolitical rival,

00:09:18.880 our number one enemy in the event that we go to war. So according to the Washington Post,

00:09:26.300 take it with a grain of salt. According to Bob Woodward, take him with a grain of salt.

00:09:31.760 General Milley, in a pair of secret phone calls, chairman of the joint chiefs of staff,

00:09:36.100 called his counterpart, General Li Zhuocheng of the People's Liberation Army, and said that the

00:09:42.140 United States would not strike China, even if President Trump gave the order. The first call 0.91

00:09:47.840 took place, the first call that we know about took place on October 30th. So this is before the

00:09:52.340 presidential election. The second call took place on January 8th. This is after the presidential

00:09:56.920 election. After the, the insurrection, the greatest coup d'etat in American history. These two phone

00:10:05.420 calls involved Milley saying, quote, General Li, I want to assure you that the American government is

00:10:11.900 stable and everything is going to be okay. We are not going to attack or conduct any kinetic operations

00:10:16.940 against you. And the second call, he said, we're a hundred percent steady. Everything's fine.

00:10:23.100 democracy can be sloppy sometimes. The message being, don't worry, don't worry. Even if the

00:10:28.040 president gives the order, we're not going to go to war with China. I have tried to be as fair about

00:10:38.580 these issues as I possibly can. And I say, well, you know, the politics is messy. So as General Milley

00:10:44.900 says, politics is messy. Sometimes whenever you hear conservatives calling to use the Logan Act or

00:10:50.020 some obscure provision of the law to accuse people of treason and try people for calling foreign

00:10:57.200 dignitaries or something, I always tamp that down. I say, it's actually not how it works.

00:11:00.880 This law really hasn't been used against people. In this case, I think this man should, should

00:11:07.700 probably be investigated and tried for a crime. It seems that what he's doing is tantamount to treason.

00:11:14.800 He's calling our number one enemy and saying, don't worry, we're not going to attack you.

00:11:19.500 He further said that if Donald Trump does give the order, he'll call and give a warning

00:11:23.640 to the Chinese. That is, if not treason outright, it's certainly conspiracy to commit treason.

00:11:31.320 And it is not enough that this, obviously he should resign or be fired. That goes without saying. But

00:11:36.160 I think this goes further. We all joke, you know, lock her up or lock him up or this or that. And I

00:11:42.040 generally don't think we should jail our presidential candidates. This guy should face very

00:11:48.020 serious consequences. He is compromising civilian control of the military. This is a key provision

00:11:53.920 of our constitutional republic. So many other aspects of our constitutional order have been

00:11:57.840 destroyed by our sick, psychotic ruling class and psychopathic, I should say, ruling class. 0.95

00:12:04.600 This is probably the most dangerous of all. Throw the book at him. When you want to defend your 1.00

00:12:09.460 liberties, I would strongly recommend you check out Gun Owners of America. Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi,

00:12:14.860 and Chuck Schumer want to ban guns and register all gun owners with the government. They've talked

00:12:21.540 about this sort of thing, all right? And the left has been pushing for it for a very, very long time.

00:12:26.440 They want to defend fake civil rights that don't exist in the constitution and they want to gut real

00:12:30.560 civil rights like our second amendment rights. We can't let this happen. It's up to all of us to

00:12:34.640 protect our gun rights. That's why I am strongly suggesting that you go check out Gun Owners of

00:12:39.980 America today. GOA is the only no compromise gun lobby in Washington. Along with their grassroots

00:12:45.820 army, they are taking the fight to the Congress, the White House, and state legislatures from coast

00:12:49.560 to coast. GOA has a special message and a free gift just for our listeners. So head on over to

00:12:55.560 gunowners.org slash Knowles to learn more. That is gunowners.org slash Knowles to learn more about how we can

00:13:03.600 stop the left from taking away our gun rights. Defend your constitutional right. Defend your

00:13:09.440 civil liberties. Go check out gunowners.org slash Knowles today. Marco Rubio is calling for Milley

00:13:15.300 to resign, chairman of the Joint Chiefs. He's saying, quote, I write with grave concern regarding

00:13:20.200 recent reporting that General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, worked to actively

00:13:23.840 undermine the sitting commander-in-chief of the United States Armed Forces and contemplated a

00:13:28.260 treasonous leak of classified information to the Chinese Communist Party in advance of a potential

00:13:32.500 armed conflict with the People's Republic of China. These actions by General Milley demonstrate a

00:13:37.200 clear lack of sound judgment, and I urge you to dismiss immediately. Sure, I just think that's too

00:13:41.960 good. Yeah, I agree with Rubio. He should be fired immediately, but that's too good. There needs to be

00:13:49.100 a stiffer consequence here. Who's running the country? Who gets to run the country? You hear the left

00:13:55.640 prattle on and on and on and on about our democracy and the threats to our democracy.

00:14:00.640 They are the chief aggressors against our democracy. Within the country, the Democrats,

00:14:10.040 the ruling class are the chief antagonists of our democracy. You see it all the time. We talked about

00:14:17.240 this on the show last week. We need our democracy, but if the people of Texas vote not to kill babies,

00:14:21.980 we've got to undermine that. We have our democracy unless the people vote for Donald Trump, as they

00:14:27.440 need it. And then we have to undermine that. Our democracy, we need to support our democracy, and

00:14:32.040 that's why we need to replace our commander in chief with some careerist military woke idiot who's now 1.00

00:14:39.800 going to collude with our number one enemy. Disgusting stuff. It's not, this is not just right-wing 1.00

00:14:44.660 angst against Milley. Even Vindman. Remember Vindman? I'm sorry. Lieutenant Colonel Vindman,

00:14:54.100 Alexander Vindman, he was this lib, disgruntled, really annoying Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman,

00:15:03.060 and he came out and he was really active in opposing Trump. He just said, this is outrageous

00:15:07.940 and Milley must resign. It says, quote, if this report is true, General Milley must resign. He

00:15:14.200 usurped civilian authority, broke chain of command, and violated the sacrosanct principle of civilian

00:15:17.820 control over the military. It's an extremely dangerous precedent. You can't simply walk away from

00:15:22.600 that hashtag, do the right thing in the right way. I can't believe I'm saying this general,

00:15:26.560 general, Lieutenant Colonel, how could I forget his title, Vindman is correct. Now that the key here is

00:15:31.980 if this is true, if this is, we don't know if this is true or not, especially because it comes from the

00:15:38.120 Washington Post, especially because it comes from this lib book by Bob Woodward. However, as I have

00:15:43.520 pointed out on the show before, when reports come out in the establishment media against establishment

00:15:53.280 figures, against the left or against the Democrats, they are more credible than when reports come out

00:15:59.920 in the establishment media against the right. The reason for this is that the media are on the same

00:16:07.100 side as the establishment. They're the same thing. So when they're making some sort of report about it,

00:16:14.220 they have one, more credibility, and two, actually more access to the people who are involved.

00:16:19.560 Whereas, because the media and the right are in total opposition, because the media are the enemy,

00:16:25.000 they're the opponent, then the reports are often less, much less credible. And you think,

00:16:30.860 the Russia gate, the Ukraine phone call, the Moscow urine tape, you remember that? Remember that

00:16:36.440 nonsense for a while? So that's just not as, as credible. Is, is this report correct? I don't

00:16:42.180 know. That's why we need to have an investigation. We're seeing a real upending of our constitution

00:16:51.000 here. Okay. And it's, it's by people who are not elected. The people who are claiming to defend our

00:16:56.540 democracy are the people who are, who are in a, in practice undermining our democracy, notably Dr.

00:17:01.220 Fauci. So Dr. Fauci is coming out now and, and discussing how much longer the 15 days to slow

00:17:08.580 the spread is going to go. So he was asked not that long ago, just a few days ago on the Joy Reid

00:17:14.100 show on MSNBC, will there be a new monster variant that forces us all to lock down again? That's why we

00:17:22.940 need to mandate the vaccines to stop. Is, are we headed for the very, very worst of the pandemic

00:17:28.540 that's going to go on interminably? Fauci says no. I've been likening it to like the movie Aliens,

00:17:35.280 right? Where it's one kind of alien that it morphs into another kind and then another kind,

00:17:38.880 and they just get more powerful as they morph using the human body as a host, right? So it's the same

00:17:44.180 thing. I worry that we're on Mu already. I mean, Lambda, I was worried about now we're on Mu.

00:17:48.880 We're just going down the Greek alphabet. By the time, you know, we get to Omega, I worry it'll be

00:17:53.560 unbeatable. Are you worried that we're going to have a nightmare this winter as these variants

00:17:59.080 continue to evolve? Are we getting close to one that can beat all of our vaccines?

00:18:05.220 Well, I'm not saying we're close to that, Joy. I think that would be a stretch to say that.

00:18:10.500 All right. I'm always glad when Dr. Fauci weighs in as the voice of reason on to the left and says,

00:18:16.540 no, listen, your hysterical claims, they're a little too much even for me. The problem with

00:18:21.900 Fauci though, is that he holds both sides of every single opinion and he has for decades.

00:18:26.740 So then he goes back on the same channel, MSNBC. He's being interviewed by Joe Scarborough's

00:18:31.280 girlfriend, I think now wife, and who Donald Trump very famously had a big problem with.

00:18:36.780 And this newscaster, Mika Brzezinski, asks him more or less the same question. And Joe decides,

00:18:43.700 or Fauci decides instead, not to tamp down the hysteria, but actually to turn it up.

00:18:49.000 What is the potential that this spirals beyond Delta to monster variant?

00:18:56.220 Well, there's always a risk of, as you get more circulation of virus in the community,

00:19:01.880 that you'll get enough accumulation of new mutations to get a variant that is functionally

00:19:08.800 different than the ones we're seeing now. You're vaccinating now to prevent the next

00:19:13.800 mutant coming, the next variant from coming. And again, that's yet again, another reason besides 0.81

00:19:20.620 protecting the health of the people who are getting vaccinated, protecting the community,

00:19:26.160 you don't want to see more variants come in because then it would, in many respects,

00:19:31.820 negate some of the very positive protection that you get from the vaccine.

00:19:36.900 So do you notice how the argument has evolved here from, well, let's go all the way back to

00:19:42.020 the beginning. 15 days to slow the spread. Then it was flatten the curve. Then it was find a cure.

00:19:46.080 Then we found a cure. Then it was distribute the vaccines. Then it was get vaccinated to protect

00:19:51.200 yourself. Then it was get vaccinated to protect everybody else. But I thought the vaccine was

00:19:56.720 supposed to provide the safe, effective protection against severe illness from the coronavirus to you,

00:20:01.460 to the recipient. So then that became a little confused. Now it's get vaccinated,

00:20:05.200 not so much to protect yourself or even to protect other people, but to protect the future people who

00:20:10.640 may or may not be vaccinated against the Lambda and the Sigma and the Mu and the Mao and the Phi Beta

00:20:15.360 Kappa. It just goes on and on and on. There's no end to that. And so long as Dr. Fauci gets to call

00:20:23.700 the shots and so long as Dr. Fauci gets to go on TV and run the country, there never is going to be any

00:20:29.160 end to that, which is why he's going to keep turning it up. You're going to, if you go back,

00:20:34.940 perhaps we should do a series on this. If you go back and look at how Dr. Fauci has evolved his

00:20:41.020 positions over the course of coronavirus, you'll notice that the through line here is, no, we would

00:20:46.640 never do that crazy radical thing that's not yet popular. We wouldn't do it. Well, maybe we have to

00:20:51.740 do it. We're doing it. And if you don't do it, you hate science and you hate your fellow Americans.

00:20:55.940 And then he moves on. No, we would never do this other radical thing. Well, maybe we would. Yes,

00:21:00.600 you absolutely have to do it. And he goes on and on and on and on. And he rarely gets called out

00:21:04.080 for it. He only gets called out basically on this show, on the right generally, never from the

00:21:08.540 establishment and people move along with it. Now, after we were told no vaccine mandates by Fauci,

00:21:15.240 by Joe Biden, we were told not only will there not be vaccine mandates, but vaccine mandates would

00:21:19.020 be an encroachment on people's liberty. Then we were told, yes, there will be vaccine mandates.

00:21:23.080 I am mandating that you get the vaccine. Now, Joe Biden's Commerce Secretary is going out after

00:21:27.420 the announcement for the vaccine mandates and denying that there are mandates at all.

00:21:31.200 I'm puzzled by these people who continue to say they're forced to get vaccinated here.

00:21:37.800 There's always been a choice. If you do not want to get vaccinated, you can work from home.

00:21:43.360 You can homeschool your children. You can shop online. So where is this coming from? People saying

00:21:49.280 I'm now being forced to be vaccinated. We never forced vaccinations on kids in school. If you

00:21:55.180 didn't want to vaccinate your kids, you could homeschool them. And people have done it for years.

00:22:00.160 You're exactly right. Nobody is being forced. In fact, if you don't get vaccinated, you just have

00:22:05.440 to get tested on a weekly basis. But the reality is the science is crystal clear on this. Get it.

00:22:12.620 Get vaccinated. These vaccines are incredibly effective. They're effective. They are free.

00:22:18.980 They work. And we just it's unacceptable. It is unacceptable now that people aren't getting

00:22:25.700 vaccinated. We need our kids in schools. We need the schools open. We need people to get back to work. 0.88

00:22:32.700 So notice what she says. The science is incredibly clear. We need people back in schools. We need people

00:22:39.060 to go to work. We need people to do this. Those aren't scientific questions, right? Those are

00:22:43.380 political questions, first of all. But then look at the weasel words. She says, look, there is no

00:22:49.660 mandate. You can always just get a test. You can always get a test. Tests are not free. Tests are

00:22:58.080 kind of expensive sometimes. Even let's say you're just paying 25, 30 bucks a test. Let's say you're a

00:23:03.040 family of four. Let's say you got to get a test once a week, twice a week. That's going to add up a lot.

00:23:07.640 No one needs to get a mandate or get a vaccine. You just need the vaccine or the constant tests if

00:23:12.220 you want to shop or sell or work or travel or get on an airplane or do anything. That's the only

00:23:19.080 time you need to test. Otherwise, you're fine. We're not mandating anything at all.

00:23:25.740 The pressure campaign is so vicious because not only are they mandating it, but they're hiding the

00:23:35.200 fact that they're mandating it. If you want to just see directly into what you need, how you can

00:23:43.140 get it, how you can get it cheaply, I would strongly recommend you check out Rock Auto.

00:23:47.500 When was the last time you went to the brick and mortar car parts store? Do you remember? You

00:23:52.220 probably, you might not even remember this. You show up. First, you got to drive there. It takes a

00:23:56.180 while. Then you got to walk in. Then you got to wait in line. You wait in line for a little while.

00:24:00.160 You get up to the counter. You say, okay, I need, I need this part for my car. The guy peppers you

00:24:03.760 with a thousand questions, the bank, the model, the color, the this, the that. You might know,

00:24:07.960 might or might not know the answer to those questions. Then he looks in the back and they

00:24:12.100 don't have the part. There's too many parts. There's too many cars these days. There's too many

00:24:14.600 parts. He goes online, probably to rockauto.com, orders the part. You've got to wait a while and then

00:24:19.200 you got to pay twice as much. Or, or just hear me out. Go to rockauto.com. All right. Family business.

00:24:25.640 They've got reliably low prices for pros and do it yourselfers. It's not a bunch of gimmicks. It's

00:24:30.380 not a bunch of log in on Tuesday morning and save 10% and then Wednesday it's 15% or whatever. It's

00:24:35.020 none of that. It's always reliably low. They got all the parts you need. The catalog is so easy to

00:24:38.420 navigate. Even I can do it. Go to rockauto.com right now. See all the parts available for your

00:24:42.540 car or truck. And they write Knowles, K-N-A-W-L-E-S in there. How did you hear about us box? So they know

00:24:47.260 that we sent you. And speaking of vaccine mandates, you know where the daily wire is on this. Okay. We just

00:24:54.360 said no, no, no Gina Raimondo, commerce secretary. There isn't, you are obviously are mandating this.

00:25:01.440 No Joe Biden. You're mandating it. And if we don't go along with it, for instance, if we don't go along

00:25:06.580 with the employee vaccination mandate and testing, we could face a fine of up to $14,000 for each

00:25:13.700 violation. Which is why the daily wire is calling on everyone who's listening to help us fight this

00:25:18.640 obscene, tyrannical mandate. Go to dailywire.com slash subscribe. Use code. Do not comply at checkout

00:25:24.180 for 25% off. We appreciate it that you stand with us here at the daily wire. Most importantly,

00:25:30.060 stand with the rights of all Americans. We'll be right back with a lot more.

00:25:45.260 The people who say they defend our democracy are the people most likely to undermine our democracy.

00:25:50.340 The people who pretend to be the radicals overthrowing the system are the people who are

00:25:54.160 most likely to defend and entrench the system in place. It's ironic. You can see it play out right now

00:26:00.800 in a debate happening between Nicki Minaj and Joy Reid. You know, a meeting of the great

00:26:09.940 philosophers of our era. Nicki Minaj is right here. Joy Reid is not right here. But you're going to see,

00:26:18.560 Joy Reid is very rarely right. But you're going to see not just that one side is right and one side

00:26:23.260 is wrong. It's not a battle really between the conservatives and the left or the left and the

00:26:27.900 right or anything like that. It's between the outsiders and the ruling class. The entrenched power

00:26:36.680 versus the people. Nicki Minaj tweets out, they want you to get vaccinated for the Met Gala. If I

00:26:42.780 get vaccinated, it won't be for the Met Gala. It'll be once I feel I've done enough research. I'm

00:26:47.440 working on that now. In the meantime, my loves, be safe. Wear a mask with two strings that grip your

00:26:51.980 hand and face, grip your head and face, not that loose one. So she's saying, wear the mask. I'm going

00:26:56.580 along with a lot of this, but I'm a little skeptical of this hastily developed drug that we've been

00:27:00.340 hearing some weird stuff about. Then she goes on to give a little anecdote. She goes,

00:27:04.680 and this is graphic. So, you know, maybe close yours for 10 seconds if you need to.

00:27:10.500 My cousin in Trinidad won't get the vaccine because his friend got it and became impotent. 0.96

00:27:13.840 His testicles became swollen. His friend was weeks away from getting married. Now the girl 0.99

00:27:17.500 called off the wedding. So just pray on it and make sure you're comfortable with your decision,

00:27:21.120 not bullied. Well, man, if anything is going to convince you not to get the vaccine, it will be

00:27:25.060 that. So she's giving this anecdote. But even beyond this one anecdote, we've all heard these

00:27:31.540 stories. And the CDC and the FDA have actually acknowledged a number of these stories of perfectly

00:27:35.780 young, healthy people getting myocarditis. There's a 13-year-old who died a few days after he received

00:27:40.640 the second vaccine of heart inflammation. He was otherwise totally healthy. There have been people

00:27:45.320 who died of blood clots after getting the vaccine that were related to the vaccine. There are people

00:27:49.440 who have gotten nerve disorders from the vaccines. These things actually have happened.

00:27:56.300 Joy Reid on MSNBC furiously responds. 0.85

00:28:02.000 People like Nicki Minaj, I have to say this. You have a platform, sister, that is 22 million

00:28:08.280 followers. OK, I have 2 million followers. You have 22 million followers on Twitter for you to use your

00:28:15.000 platform to encourage our community to not protect themselves and save their lives. My God, sister,

00:28:21.440 you could do better than that. You've got that platform. It's a blessing. It's a blessing that

00:28:26.580 you got that, that people listen to you and they listen to you more than listen to me. For you to

00:28:31.040 use your platform to put people in the position of dying from a disease they don't have to die from.

00:28:37.340 Oh, my God. As a fan, as a hip hop fan, as somebody who is your fan, I'm so sad that you did that.

00:28:43.340 So sad that you did that, sister.

00:28:45.000 Yeah. So Joy Reid is engaging in what is called concern trolling. This, this is not the kind of

00:28:51.160 trolling where you just attack somebody outright. This is the kind of trolling where you pretend to

00:28:55.620 be on the person's side, but you're actually opposing everything that they're doing. And you're

00:28:59.320 saying, oh, look, man, I'm a big fan of yours. Oh, I just think I love you. Oh, I love your music.

00:29:04.740 And you're so great. And so I'm just, I'm really sad that you're, that you're contradicting the

00:29:10.640 establishment narrative. I'm just, it really concerns me that you are stepping out of line

00:29:16.080 from the ruling classes narrative, Nicki Minaj. I'm just, because I'm a big fan of yours.

00:29:21.860 So what does Nicki Minaj do? Does she say, oh, well, okay, I'm sorry, Joy. You're right. I

00:29:26.320 shouldn't have stepped out of line. Maybe next time, maybe you should get the vaccine. No,

00:29:29.840 she doesn't do any of that. She says, quote, this is what happens when you're so thirsty to down

00:29:35.280 another black woman by the request of the white man that you didn't bother to read all my tweets. 1.00

00:29:39.600 My God, sister, do better. Imagine getting your dumb derriere on TV a minute after a tweet to 1.00

00:29:46.480 spread a false narrative about a black woman. The two white men sitting there nodding their heads 1.00

00:29:51.320 because this uncle Tomyana doing the work, child. How sad. I love it. I love it. I know that she's

00:29:58.700 going after white people here. And that's, I don't think that's good. I think that's bad for white 0.88

00:30:02.980 people. And I think it's bad for swarthy people. And I think it's bad for the country in general. 1.00

00:30:06.880 But take it from Nicki Minaj's perspective here. If you, the, the way that she is using the white 0.84

00:30:16.900 man here is, I think, synonymous with the ruling class. Okay. I think the, the way she, the man,

00:30:22.940 you know, you ever hear about the man, all the man, the man's getting me down or the white man is,

00:30:27.340 you know, I think she's using this expression, not, not to express her hatred for white people in

00:30:35.000 general. Maybe she hates white people too. I don't know. But I think she's using it to say 0.99

00:30:38.980 not, you are a black shill for white people, but you are a shill for the ruling power, 0.99

00:30:48.020 the ruling class. Now the fact, the fact is the, the ruling class is not presently defined by race 0.89

00:30:52.620 or sex, not the white man. It's the blob, right? It's, it's what we were talking about. It's the, 0.89

00:30:57.340 we call it the liberal establishment, call it whatever you want. And if you read Nicki Minaj's tweet,

00:31:03.540 as I think you should in that way, she's completely right. She says, this is what happens

00:31:08.500 when you're so thirsty to attack another black woman. She's saying, look, we're supposed to be 0.99

00:31:13.220 on the same side here. We're out of the power structure. Except Joy Reid's not out of the

00:31:16.620 power structure. She's within the, she works for corporate media and her job is to push the 1.00

00:31:22.160 propaganda of the liberal establishment. You're doing this at the request of the establishment.

00:31:28.780 You're spreading a false narrative about, you're coming after me, who you have something in

00:31:32.660 common with, but you're doing it because you've sold out to the establishment.

00:31:36.340 This I think is absolutely right. This is what AOC did too. When AOC shows up to the Met Gala,

00:31:42.380 to the fancy party with all her extremely rich friends, where no one's wearing a mask and no 0.96

00:31:46.140 one's following their own rules other than the staff, other than the filthy, dirty help. So they 0.96

00:31:50.600 don't spread their germs to the good rich people. And she wears a dress and it says, tax the rich. 0.98

00:31:55.360 She is, she is doing what I accuse the squishy conservatives of doing. You know, I call those

00:32:02.760 squishy conservatives, the court jesters in the kingdom of liberalism. Well, AOC is the same thing.

00:32:08.200 She's the same thing for the left. She is performing this role as a radical leftist revolutionary.

00:32:14.460 She is doing nothing but propping up the capitalistic liberal establishment plutocracy. That's, 1.00

00:32:20.620 that's her job. She is a, she is a court jester for the radical left and she puts on a show and

00:32:27.280 she's supposed to get all the leftists really riled up. But her, her job really is to preserve 0.93

00:32:31.980 the establishment. That's why she's partying with people at the Met Gala. When we talk about people

00:32:36.580 on the right, who are the sort of conservatives who go on the liberal channels and they say,

00:32:41.760 well, I'm a conservative, but I would never support Donald Trump. I'm a conservative,

00:32:45.020 but I would never support pro-life laws. I'm a conservative, but I would never support borders 0.92

00:32:49.240 and immigration controls. I'm a conservative, but I would never support, you know, anything that's

00:32:52.740 actually conservative. They are court jesters on the right and AOC and Joy Reid are court jesters on

00:32:57.840 the left. Their job is to put up just enough of a fight to give the radical leftists the feeling

00:33:04.540 that they can really completely overthrow the, the broad liberal establishment, which is not opposed

00:33:12.740 to the big corporations, but is actually part of the big corporations. In fact, though, when those,

00:33:17.940 when those corporate globalist establishmentarian masters come down and say, hey, hey, Joy Reid,

00:33:26.540 hey, AOC, hey, people that we permit to have some power in this system, get in line and get the rest of

00:33:35.420 your people in line too. What do they do? They do it. Hey, Joy Reid, hey, AOC, jump. How high? How high,

00:33:45.240 corporate overlords? And Nicki Minaj isn't going to do that. I have a great, even though Nicki Minaj is

00:33:51.340 just coming out very strongly against white men in this, in this tweet, which is not great. I do

00:33:56.900 at least appreciate the place that she's doing it from. It's a recognition of the real political

00:34:02.140 power and the real role of these make-believe radicals on MSNBC or in the halls of Congress,

00:34:07.040 like AOC. Where is the radicalism? Megan Rapinoe, she's that soccer player, I guess. She's that 1.00

00:34:14.080 soccer player who hates America and she's very performatively lesbian. She went to the Met Gala 1.00

00:34:18.800 and she wore or she carried with herself a clutch purse that says, in gay, we trust.

00:34:25.440 Right? Not in God, we trust. In gay, we trust. Because her God is sexual desire and radicalism 1.00

00:34:34.720 and subversion and the overthrow of traditional order, I suppose. Right? The whole point of it is

00:34:40.400 the subversion of an ordinary American slogan. And this is supposed to be revolutionary, except,

00:34:48.300 except she's doing it at the Met Gala, except she's doing it with the richest, most entrenched,

00:34:55.540 most establishmentarian people in the entire country. She thinks she's upending the, the

00:35:03.040 American religion is Christianity and she's going to upend it and make it this religion about sexual 1.00

00:35:07.240 desire. No, no, no. Her, her version, the LGBT, the rainbow flag, the pride, the progress, 0.94

00:35:12.420 that is the established church. That is the official religion. If I showed up to the Met Gala

00:35:20.420 in a dress, I, that, that would be fine. They would be, that would be totally normal. But if I

00:35:25.180 showed up in a dress or with a clutch purse that said, stop killing babies or, uh, I don't know,

00:35:34.020 even on, uh, you could go even further on that line, down syndrome lives, stop killing people with

00:35:38.120 down syndrome, which, which the left openly advocates doing, doing so in the womb, I would 1.00

00:35:43.160 be escorted out by security. I would never get in the door because that would be a genuinely radical

00:35:47.960 slogan. That would be a genuinely revolutionary slogan. If, if I wore a, a costume into the Met Gala

00:35:56.860 that said, we need election integrity to make sure that every vote counts, defend election integrity

00:36:02.260 laws, I would be escorted out because the ruling class doesn't want any of that stuff. The ruling 0.57

00:36:07.800 class wants the bread and the circuses of the Megan Rapinoe and the AOC and the Joy Reid.

00:36:13.740 And they want, they, they want to keep the show going while they rule the country. 0.92

00:36:21.480 That, that is, that is the established church that we're living in right now because all human

00:36:25.700 conflict ultimately is theological. Speaking of radical churches, the evangelical Lutheran church,

00:36:31.380 the E-L-C-A has just installed its first transgender bishop. I'm going to need to use a lot of quotes

00:36:41.460 here. The evangelical Lutheran church in America has just installed its first transgender bishop.

00:36:50.700 Uh, we covered this back when it was starting to bubble up in the, uh, the news cycle a while ago.

00:36:58.480 Uh, at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, with 65 bishops and 150 pastors in attendance, bishop Megan

00:37:08.500 Rohrer will lead the Sacramento-based Sierra Pacific Synod with 200 congregations, uh, congregations.

00:37:15.180 The 41-year-old woman now uses the pronouns he and they, and hold on, it gets weirder,

00:37:24.040 is married to a wife named Laurel. And the couple has two children.

00:37:33.100 Has two, how? I don't, I don't know. None of this makes any sense. None of this is real.

00:37:37.960 What you are witnessing here is not just the destruction of marriage and sex and the church.

00:37:45.200 You're seeing the destruction of the English language because this is a bunch of gobbledygook

00:37:48.120 that doesn't mean anything. And we're not, because of our, I suppose in part because we have a respect

00:37:58.080 for a pluralistic society, but then we've taken that to a radical, radical extreme of skepticism.

00:38:03.040 We're not allowed to point out that this is not really a church. This woman is not really a bishop 0.96

00:38:07.960 and this woman is not really a man. We're not allowed to point any, and this, this woman is not

00:38:15.840 really the husband to her wife with none of, none of that is true. This is a lesbian who is playing 1.00

00:38:23.840 make-believe at religion to promote the, the, her true religion, which is the religion of progressivism. 0.97

00:38:33.040 This is the destruction of the institution. We're seeing the destruction of, of church

00:38:37.280 institutions, the destruction of public health institutions. We're seeing the destruction of

00:38:43.700 military institutions. Thank you, General Mattis. We're seeing the, the collapse of basically all

00:38:49.880 of the institutions of public life. We no longer even have faith in our elections, whether the

00:38:54.000 elections in California, whether the election is nationwide, whether it's the Democrat who wins,

00:38:59.040 whether it's the Republican who wins. We no longer have faith in those institutions. That's not the

00:39:05.240 fault of the people. It's the fault of the people who ran the institutions into the ground. Speaking of

00:39:11.540 institutions mattering, there's a woman who's up for a judge, judgeship on the Ninth Circuit. 1.00

00:39:19.880 This is a Biden nominee, and Senator Cruz has some questions for her.

00:39:23.880 Ms. Sung, do you believe Justice Kavanaugh is intellectually and morally bankrupt?

00:39:33.660 Senator, I would want every Supreme Court justice to know, including Justice Kavanaugh,

00:39:40.700 that I respect completely their authority as a Supreme Court justice. I would know it would

00:39:45.680 follow their precedents without reservation. You're, you're an experienced lawyer. You know,

00:39:51.060 when someone's not answering a question, my question was simple and straightforward.

00:39:55.380 Do you believe Justice Kavanaugh is, quote, intellectually and morally bankrupt?

00:40:01.720 Thank you for the question, Senator. As I stated earlier, I recognize that that statement

00:40:07.000 was overheated rhetoric, and that's all that it was.

00:40:11.260 So, correct me if I'm wrong. I'm not as trained a lawyer as Senator Cruz here, or as this nominee is,

00:40:18.520 but it sounds like she didn't answer the question again. So, she comes out,

00:40:22.240 and she says, this was some time ago, she says, Brett Kavanaugh is intellectually and morally

00:40:29.560 bankrupt. This wasn't, this wasn't that long, this wasn't 10 years ago. This was, you know,

00:40:33.860 within the last few years. And Cruz says, okay, so do you believe that? And if you do not believe

00:40:39.840 that, were you lying then, or are you lying now? Where is your credibility? Because you told us,

00:40:43.880 you made a very forceful statement about now a member of the Supreme Court, not all that long

00:40:49.240 ago. So, what is it? Are you a liar? Do you have any integrity? Joe Biden's judicial nominee,

00:40:57.080 Ninth Circuit Court, cannot answer simple questions from Senator Cruz.

00:41:03.980 I'm going to try one more time, because you signed your name to it, and it wasn't

00:41:07.680 year, decades ago, it was, it was very recently. You signed your name to this statement. I'm asking

00:41:13.720 simply today, do you believe that Justice Kavanaugh is, quote, intellectually and morally bankrupt?

00:41:22.820 You signed your name to that proposition. Do you still believe it?

00:41:26.080 Thank you for the question, Senator. As I stated, that was rhetorical advocacy,

00:41:32.360 only that I signed strictly in my personal capacity as a private citizen, addressing my alma mater.

00:41:40.080 That was rhetorical advocacy that, that was overheated and does not represent her views. So,

00:41:48.340 hold on, let me try to make sense of this. Rhetorical advocacy is when you use words

00:41:56.000 to make a point. And in this case, she's admitting she used words to make a point,

00:42:03.080 but she didn't believe in those. Oh, she lied. Oh, you lied. That was a lie. Okay.

00:42:07.060 She's saying, yes, when I signed my name to that statement, not that long ago, I was a liar.

00:42:17.840 That's what I said about Brett Kavanaugh then, but now I don't believe it. So, the question,

00:42:21.500 of course, is if you were willing to lie very publicly, not that long ago, what's to say you're

00:42:28.160 not lying right now to me? And the answer is nothing because this woman has no integrity and 0.96

00:42:33.580 it doesn't matter. She'll probably get through because our institutions have very little integrity

00:42:39.740 these days. And, and then the institutionalists and the establishmentarians want to blame all of us

00:42:45.180 and call us insurrectionists and call us terrorists and threats to, to the United States and our

00:42:52.400 democracy because we have questions about the way that these people have lied to us and continue to

00:42:58.780 lie to us day by day by day, and even lied to us about lying to us. Speaking of these mealy-mouthed

00:43:06.840 words, poor besieged Secretary of State Antony Blinken was asked another simple question. Question is,

00:43:14.360 quote, is it true that, that, uh, Vladimir Putin threatened the United States? This is,

00:43:20.320 there were some reports about this. So he goes, is that true? Did that really happen? Did he

00:43:23.660 threaten Joe Biden? Blinken gives a similar sort of answer to that judge. Is it true that President

00:43:29.520 Putin threatened the president of the United States saying he could not build intelligence

00:43:36.300 capabilities in the region? Um, this is an, this is an important question and one that in its,

00:43:44.360 detail and substance I think we need to take up, uh, in another setting for reasons I know that

00:43:48.580 you, you very much appreciate. This is a very important question and I think we certainly need

00:43:53.440 to take it up and, uh, yes, we should do it, uh, when it's off the record so that I don't need to

00:43:57.920 actually give an answer on this. Such weakness. Did Vladimir Putin threaten the United States that if

00:44:07.440 we try to interfere anymore in Afghanistan and the region that they're, they're going to hit us, 1.00

00:44:12.680 they're going to attack us, they're going to retaliate. Did that happen? Why aren't we hearing

00:44:15.720 about this? Why aren't we doing something about this? Why isn't General Milley calling China and,

00:44:20.840 and selling American intelligence? Why, why, why, why? Because it would seem to me that the way that

00:44:30.920 we are told our government works in Schoolhouse Rock, I'm a Bill up on Capitol Hill, is not the way

00:44:36.260 our government actually works. And if the past few years have done anything, it's, it's woken us up

00:44:42.220 to that fact. And it's made us question, well, hold on, wait, the top general, the top military

00:44:47.900 commander in America is reportedly offering to give extraordinarily classified information to

00:44:54.660 the Chinese government by undermining his own president. And wait, hold on, what? What?

00:45:00.780 Wait, are, people don't have any faith in our elections anymore? What? Ah, yikes. Oh, that's

00:45:06.660 not good. That's not good. And then the cherry on top of this difficult day Sunday. The funniest

00:45:14.720 man in the world just died, Norm Macdonald. I know there are a lot of Norm Macdonald fans out there.

00:45:19.220 I was going to play a clip from Norm today and I couldn't pick just one. I couldn't, his work is so

00:45:25.100 good. I've, I've read his book based on a true story three times. We've all watched his videos,

00:45:30.340 you know, many, many, many times. You could go down a YouTube rabbit hole and be there for days.

00:45:35.560 So I did just want to give a little personal insight. I wish that I could say that Norm

00:45:40.400 Macdonald and I were best friends. That would be incredible. But I, you know, I, unfortunately I

00:45:44.140 can't say that. However, we, we did have a very lengthy correspondence a couple of years ago.

00:45:50.580 I noticed when Norm Macdonald got onto Twitter, he followed me. I was one of the first people he

00:45:57.580 followed on Twitter and I was, I was really shocked by this. And I thought like, I don't,

00:46:01.420 you know, I never messaged him. I was so in awe of the guy. I didn't want to abuse the fact that he

00:46:06.580 was, he was following me. And, but then one, one time he tweeted something about some pain that he was

00:46:11.040 in. And so I did reach out and I didn't know if he was depressed or suicidal even. Now in retrospect,

00:46:16.520 we see, he was going through cancer treatments. He, he suffered silently, privately from cancer.

00:46:22.080 He fought cancer for nine years. Didn't tell anyone, apparently not even much of his family,

00:46:26.340 if any of his family. And so I re I reached out to him and I said, Hey, you know, if you want to

00:46:31.500 talk about anything, just let me know. And this led to a weeks and weeks long correspondence where we

00:46:37.360 would write each other basically these essays every night, these very long letters every night.

00:46:41.780 And, and it was mostly on the topic of religion, which you, and I, I, you could never tell if he

00:46:49.140 was making a joke or something. He would sometimes talk about religion publicly, but he would, it would

00:46:54.440 usually be in the form of a joke. He'd say, I'm a Christian, you know, and someone, the other

00:46:58.020 comedian would say, you're a Christian. He's like, yeah, you know, I protest military funerals, you

00:47:00.900 know, yeah, like the Westboro church or something. And say, okay, well, I don't know if he really is.

00:47:05.040 All I will say, I don't want to reveal too much about our private correspondence. Certainly not,

00:47:08.180 not now. But the thing you noticed about Norm was that he was one of the wisest people,

00:47:15.160 most intelligent people around. He would, he would say these things like, you know, Michael,

00:47:18.200 man, you're really educated, man. You're really intelligent. Me, I'm just an old chunk of coal,

00:47:21.540 you know, and I'm not educated at all. And then he would use some word that I'd never heard before.

00:47:24.860 And you could tell he had this deep, deep knowledge of literature and history and philosophy and all of

00:47:29.280 these things. And we, we got into this very serious conversation about religion and one comfort that I,

00:47:35.360 and the reason I even mentioned this today is comfort for all the many, many fans he had out

00:47:39.700 there. I am quite certain that he had obviously profound humility and a deep and abiding faith.

00:47:47.340 I am quite certain of that. And obviously a great deal of fortitude, which is another virtue,

00:47:52.260 which is really missing in our culture today. When was the last time someone suffered privately and

00:47:55.960 died privately and didn't make a big spectacle of himself and didn't become a victim and just fought

00:48:01.240 his struggles and carried his cross silently? It's a horrible loss to the world that he is gone,

00:48:08.400 but he remains a great inspiration to a lot of people. And he left behind a great body of work.

00:48:13.060 And I strongly recommend you all check out his book, Based on a True Story.
