00:00:00.000 We're all going to die according to the libs. Your children are going to die from the woo flu
00:00:07.440 if they don't take the Fauci ouchie. Women are going to die from back alley abortions if the
00:00:14.620 Supreme Court overrules Roe versus Wade. And black people and homosexuals are definitely going to die
00:00:21.400 in vicious hate crimes every time they leave their homes if people draw the wrong conclusions
00:00:27.900 from the Jussie Smollett hoax. All of those fears are bogus, but the libs are right about one thing.
00:00:34.100 We are all going to die at some point. We've been dying since the day we were born.
00:00:39.800 And a lot of our present dysfunction comes from our refusal to admit it.
00:00:43.820 I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:00:52.160 Welcome back to the show. My favorite comment from Friday is from Sharon Bizriguez, who says,
00:00:57.300 It's okay. Everyone makes mistakes, Jesse. Don't beat yourself up.
00:01:03.620 You know, the one that was going around, everyone was tweeting out like, hey, I'm so glad Jesse
00:01:09.200 Smollett's attacker was finally brought to justice. You know, I saw like 500 versions of that on the
00:01:13.980 timeline, but that version I like better. Don't beat yourself up, Jesse. Jesse? Juicy? I don't know.
00:01:19.700 We'll get to it. You know, when you want to protect what you're looking for online, like if you're
00:01:24.580 looking to buy all sorts of things to stage one of the greatest hoaxes in the last several years in
00:01:29.640 America, or if you're looking up good stuff, or if you're looking up just good, true, and beautiful
00:01:33.620 stuff that you don't want the big tech people to find out about, you got to check out ExpressVPN.
00:01:38.220 Do you know that your internet service provider knows every single website that you visit?
00:01:43.700 Every single way. And if you're listening to this show, you might go to some websites you don't want
00:01:47.740 other people to know about. You know, you close the blinds, you turn on the incognito window, and you go
00:01:53.500 to websites like dailywire.com. You know, politically incorrect ones that could get you canceled from
00:01:58.600 your job. So don't let your ISP do this. Don't let them sell this information to ad companies and tech
00:02:04.600 giants who will use your data to target you. Check out ExpressVPN. They put a stop to this. They create a
00:02:10.020 secure encrypted tunnel between your device and the internet so that your online activity can't be seen
00:02:15.220 by anyone. I love ExpressVPN. I use it on all my devices. It's super easy. It's just one button.
00:02:20.680 You install it. You use it on your laptop. You use it on your cell phone. It's so easy,
00:02:25.360 especially if you're traveling. I know people travel a lot around Christmas time. If you're in an airport
00:02:29.580 on public Wi-Fi in a cafe, don't open yourself up to this, folks. If you're like me and you think your
00:02:35.500 online activity ought to be your business, secure yourself by visiting expressvpn.com
00:02:40.660 slash Michael today, M-I-C-H-A-E-L. That's E-X-P-R-E-S-S-V-P-N dot com slash Michael,
00:02:48.240 M-I-C-H-A-E-L. You get an extra three months for free expressvpn.com slash Michael. The children,
00:02:56.220 the children, you monsters are not thinking of the children. So says Dr. Fauci.
00:03:03.120 If your child is five years of age and older, please get them vaccinated. We need to protect
00:03:08.520 the children. This idea that children are not vulnerable at all is not so, George.
00:03:14.040 I mean, certainly statistically, children do not get as severe disease as the adults,
00:03:20.600 particularly the elderly. But if you look at the number of cases of children now,
00:03:25.380 well over 2 million children from 5 to 11 have been infected. There have been over 8,000 to 9,000
00:03:31.260 hospitalizations and well over 100 deaths. The children, the children, won't somebody please
00:03:37.660 think of the children. Now, Dr. Fauci admits here, when you listen to Dr. Fauci, you got to pay very
00:03:45.860 close attention to the words he uses. He admits that children have an infinitesimally small chance
00:03:53.880 of dying from the coronavirus. Thank God, that's so wonderful. The infection fatality rate for children
00:03:59.600 from the coronavirus is around 0.003% at the high end. It can be as low as 0.001%, depending on exactly
00:04:12.540 what criteria you're looking at. When you take out children with comorbidities, children who are very
00:04:19.480 unhealthy, who have other diseases, who are extremely overweight, when you take that out, the infection
00:04:25.660 fatality rate drops significantly lower, infinitesimally small. So children are not really
00:04:32.820 at that kind of risk. And Dr. Fauci admits as much. But he says, regardless, you got to get your
00:04:39.680 children, your children need to get the Fauci ouchie or else you're a bad parent. And he's, he knows
00:04:46.660 that what do parents care most about in the world? It's their children. And so he's going to manipulate
00:04:51.240 them and he's going to become a, he already is a demagogue on this issue, but he's going to push
00:04:57.560 his demagoguery even further. And he's going to completely misrepresent the data. Sure, children
00:05:02.740 don't get as severely infected, but to say that they have no side effects or consequences from the virus
00:05:11.140 whatsoever, that is false. Well, no one's saying that children, no one's saying children aren't going
00:05:14.600 to get a little bit sick. But getting a little bit sick is not the reason to force an experimental
00:05:21.220 drug into everybody's arm and to shut down the entire world for two years, right? You need to
00:05:25.980 have some prudence here in the, in the data, which Fauci is even out of, in between the words, in
00:05:30.580 between the lines, he's kind of admitting the data don't back up, is fear mongering. So the children,
00:05:35.040 I think they're going to be okay. Generally speaking, I think they're going to be okay for now. How
00:05:37.780 about the women? Kamala Harris is very worried about the women. She says that if Roe versus Wade is
00:05:43.820 overruled, then the women are going to die. In the San Francisco Chronicle, she says, quote,
00:05:49.760 I don't mean to sound alarmist. I mean this. Women will die. I'm very concerned about it. Women will
00:05:55.080 die. In particular, women who don't have economic resources and can't travel to places or somehow
00:06:01.120 have access to safe reproductive health care, including abortion. And it is not an extreme
00:06:05.620 statement. It is a fact. So especially poor women, if we let poor women have their babies and we don't
00:06:11.620 have a society in which poor women are encouraged to kill their babies, then those poor women might
00:06:17.100 face some consequences if they go get an illegal abortion. She's not even saying poor women are
00:06:22.380 going to die or any women are going to die from having a baby. She's saying that they're going to
00:06:26.860 die from trying to get illegal abortions. But even that is not true. Even that number is not true.
00:06:31.880 We've mentioned it on the show before, but there is a lie being pushed by the left that thousands of
00:06:36.440 women were dying every year before Roe v. Wade from back alley abortions. And it's not true.
00:06:41.340 The person who invented that bogus statistic is Dr. Bernard Nathanson. He was a pro-abortion,
00:06:46.440 one of the co-founders of the Pro-Abortion League. He then became a pro-lifer and admitted it was
00:06:50.300 completely made up. And when you look at the data from the federal government of the women who died
00:06:54.200 each year from the illegal abortions, it was less than 40. It was in the 30s. Then when you look at the
00:06:59.560 women who died from legal abortions, it was in the 20s. It was less than 30, but it was pretty similar when
00:07:05.300 you look at the number of states where abortion was legal and illegal, your chances of dying from
00:07:09.060 either were basically the same. And they were extremely, talk about infinitesimally small.
00:07:14.360 So it's just bogus. By the way, that was in 1972. How much more advanced has medical technology gotten
00:07:20.520 to save women's lives if they have some kind of complication from whatever illegal activity
00:07:24.780 they're doing? So it's just bogus. It is completely made up. It is an outright lie that is
00:07:31.680 still shamelessly peddled, been debunked a zillion times. And certainly Kamala Harris has no shame about
00:07:39.040 lying. She is a very, very cynical politician. But I think the women are going to be okay.
00:07:46.040 So now what about, what about, we've taken care of the children. We've taken care of the women.
00:07:50.880 What about the black people and the homosexuals? Because we are told, we're told by LeBron James,
00:07:55.820 every time a black man walks out his front door, he's being hunted down by racist whites.
00:08:00.940 We're in the case of Jussie Smollett, racist Nigerians, racist, homophobic, gay Nigerians.
00:08:09.160 That's who is hunting down black homosexual people. Jussie Smollett was convicted. We didn't get to it on
00:08:18.160 Friday's show, but he was convicted just at the very tail end of last week on five class four felonies
00:08:23.100 for lying to police about a hate crime that he staged himself when he was walking around Chicago.
00:08:29.580 And allegedly two white guys in MAGA hats came up to him with a noose and said, this is MAGA country.
00:08:35.880 And Jussie Smollett managed to hold on to his subway salad, I believe. It wasn't even a subway
00:08:40.780 sandwich. The story gets less and less believable all the time. And then he survived this attack,
00:08:45.760 which turns out had been perpetrated by two Nigerian boyfriends of his. And that all,
00:08:52.180 that all came out. Good news on the conviction. There is still some justice left in America.
00:08:56.580 If Jussie Smollett managed to get off the hook for staging this ridiculous hate crime,
00:09:02.720 as opposed to a love crime, if he'd gotten off the hook for this, you'd just think that truth
00:09:07.600 doesn't matter anymore. We're completely through the looking glass, but at least the truth still
00:09:10.680 matters a little bit. Now, not to drag up ancient history, but all the prominent libs got this
00:09:18.900 completely wrong. Kamala Harris said, quote, this is in 2019 when Jussie Smollett perpetrated it.
00:09:25.800 Jussie Smollett's one of the kindest, most gentle human beings I know. I'm praying for his quick
00:09:28.800 recovery. This was an attempted modern day lynching. No one should have to fear for their
00:09:32.600 life because of their sex or color of their skin. We must confront this hate. Pete Buttigieg,
00:09:38.300 while the struggle for basic hate crime legislation continues here in Indiana,
00:09:42.260 this horrible attack calls all Americans to stand against hatred and violence in all forms.
00:09:46.000 Bernie Sanders, the racist and homophobic attack on Jussie Smollett is a horrific instance of the
00:09:51.040 surging hostility toward minorities around this country. Apparently, it's hostility from other
00:09:55.080 minorities, though, and sometimes from the people themselves who are allegedly having the attacks
00:10:00.360 perpetrated against them. We must come together to eradicate all forms of bigotry and violence,
00:10:03.860 which will never happen, by the way, because it's a fallen world and we don't live in
00:10:06.320 the utopia of Bernie's fevered imagination. Nancy Pelosi, the racist homophobic attack on Jussie Smollett
00:10:12.720 is an affront to our humanity. No one should be attacked for who they are or whom they love.
00:10:17.320 Again, they weren't. It was just completely made up. It was the only guy that was attacked is the guy
00:10:21.600 who is and who loves in a way that is apparently under a great, great attack. I pray that Jussie
00:10:28.840 has a speedy recovery and the justice is served. It was. May we all commit to ending this hate once
00:10:34.000 and we're all curious to the yellow brand Ariana Grande on and on and on and on and on. And they
00:10:40.520 were all wrong. They were all completely wrong. And no one, to my knowledge, has acknowledged this
00:10:47.240 or apologized. And they won't have to. It'll just go away. A lot of them haven't even deleted the
00:10:51.940 tweets. And then I, over the past few days, have just been retweeting these people because, you
00:10:57.020 know, they were relatively small. So I just bring it back up and see, no shame. It doesn't matter.
00:11:01.140 They almost certainly won't be held to account. The White House was asked about this. And Jen
00:11:07.820 Psaki says, people, people are learning. Everyone is learning their lessons from the Smollett incident.
00:11:14.540 Since the guilty verdict, are there any lessons learned here and rushing to judgment when a crime
00:11:19.380 is alleged? I think there are lessons learned perhaps for everybody who commented at the time,
00:11:25.680 including former President Trump. I wish April Ryan was here because I think she asked him the
00:11:29.460 question. Do I see her somewhere or no? Okay. She just left where he said, I can tell you that
00:11:35.060 it's horrible. It doesn't get worse in response to her question about Jesse Smollett at the time.
00:11:43.860 I would say that we respect the jury's decision. Lying to the police, particularly about something
00:11:49.500 as heinous as a hate crime is shameful. Instances of that need to be investigated fully. And those
00:11:54.720 found guilty need to be punished. And false accusations divert valuable police resources
00:11:59.320 away from important investigations. They make it harder for real victims to come forward and be
00:12:04.160 believed. You know, if you look back at the time, it's also true and important to note that accusations
00:12:09.200 of hate crime should be taken seriously. And they need to be fully investigated.
00:12:13.760 Lessons are being learned by everyone. There are a lot of lessons to go around, except no one is
00:12:17.940 learning anything. Now, one thing that you should learn is how to get a better rate on your mortgage,
00:12:24.360 which is why you should check out American Financing. Mortgage rates continue to remain
00:12:28.420 incredibly low for the moment. Will they stay at this level in the new year? I don't know. You can't
00:12:33.340 be sure, which is why you need to call American Financing. Lock into a low rate now and potentially
00:12:38.820 save yourself up to $1,000 a month. $1,000 per month, potentially. You can even skip your January
00:12:46.380 mortgage payment and possibly February, creating greater savings as we begin a new year. Think of
00:12:52.680 how much that can help and then give American Financing a call. There is no pressure, no
00:12:58.500 obligation, no upfront or hidden fees. Just a simple conversation around ways that you can save without
00:13:04.000 restarting your loan. That's right. You can choose any term 10 years and over, so you're not wasting
00:13:09.720 money on years you don't need. Get a free mortgage review today when you call 800-685-5696. That number
00:13:18.100 is 800-685-5696. Or if you're more digitally inclined, go to AmericanFinancing.net, NMLS 182-334,
00:13:28.200 NMLSConsumerAccess.org. Jen Psaki says, look, there are lessons for everybody to learn from the Jussie
00:13:35.420 Smollett hoax. There aren't. There aren't. She cites Donald Trump because Donald Trump just made
00:13:41.420 some vague political comment about how, oh yes, it sounds bad or whatever. But for those of us who
00:13:48.820 knew from the very beginning that this was obviously bogus, we're not going to learn a lesson because
00:13:56.120 there's no lesson to learn because we were right and these other people were wrong. For the people who
00:14:01.940 were wrong about this, they're not going to learn any lesson. They're going to continue in their false
00:14:09.760 narrative. How did some of us know from the moment that Jussie Smollett alleged that it was MAGA
00:14:16.580 country in the south side of Chicago or wherever he was, that this was a fake attack? We knew it
00:14:22.420 because that sort of thing just doesn't really happen. It happens in the fevered imagination of leftists
00:14:30.500 who think that the Ku Klux Klan is around every corner. It happens in the fevered imagination of
00:14:35.300 LeBron James, who when he leaves his, you know, golden palace, thinks that there are Klansmen
00:14:41.300 everywhere trying to lynch him. But in reality, those of us whose view of the world is a little
00:14:47.060 closer to reality, we know that that just doesn't happen actually. So that's how, and the leftists who
00:14:56.460 believe that the Klan is running around everywhere trying to lynch all the black people,
00:15:00.040 they're not changing their view. Actually, they're doubling down. They're saying that even though
00:15:06.900 this was a hoax, don't let it distract from the greater truth that black men and homosexuals
00:15:14.420 are constantly oppressed by straight white men who are, Trump supporters who are perpetrating
00:15:21.660 these sorts of attacks. To tune in for this false but somewhat prevalent view,
00:15:27.020 you have to look at those cackling hens on the view. Notably, the fake Republican on the view,
00:15:34.880 Anna Navarro.
00:15:36.040 When it first happened, I think it was unimaginable to anybody that it could be a hoax.
00:15:42.760 And frankly, you know, I think that for a lot of us, it read believable that there could be hate
00:15:47.320 crimes because there are hate crimes against minorities and against LGBTQ. And it's not,
00:15:52.740 you know, Kamala Harris's fault or Joe Biden's fault or Cory Booker's fault or anybody's fault
00:15:56.960 that their natural reaction was to empathize with somebody who we all at first thought was a
00:16:02.100 victim of a hate crime. It's Twitter's fault anyway.
00:16:03.900 Can we focus on the guilty parties?
00:16:06.400 No, it's not our fault. Like, I know that we were totally wrong and the reality was totally
00:16:11.980 different, but it's not our fault that we believed this obviously delusion. It was at the time it was
00:16:16.660 unimaginable that it was a hoax. Well, then how come many of us said it was a hoax from the very
00:16:20.880 beginning? Because it was unimaginable? No, it was eminently imaginable and it was probable.
00:16:27.620 And it was almost certain that it was a hoax from the beginning because none of the facts added up
00:16:31.600 when you considered reality. The elements of the story only added up in a leftist fantasy.
00:16:39.560 Even the fact that the two Nigerian guys who we were told were white Trump supporters yelled out,
00:16:44.960 hey, yo, empire, because they recognized this minor actor from a show that I had never heard of until
00:16:51.540 the Jussie Smollett fake attack. How in your own head do you have to be? How extraordinarily
00:16:59.320 narcissistic do you have to be to believe anything about this story? That white conservative Trump
00:17:08.080 supporters walking around Chicago even know who Jussie Smollett is. I'd never heard of this dude
00:17:13.820 until he perpetrated this hoax. And it's not our fault that we got it wrong. It is your fault. It is
00:17:19.800 your fault that you believe and peddle a false view of the world. That is, you bear responsibility for
00:17:29.460 that. You have a responsibility to perceive the world in a way that is basically correct. And if
00:17:36.460 you're getting things that are wrong, you need to be held accountable for that. And you need to
00:17:40.260 discipline yourself to get rid of that kind of fantasy and to learn things. You have a responsibility
00:17:44.740 to learn things. You have a responsibility to the truth, Anna Navarro. And what she is saying here
00:17:49.900 and what all of the other hens are agreeing with and nodding their heads is that, no, we shouldn't
00:17:57.360 learn a damn thing from this. Oh yeah, you're so right, Anna Navarro. You're so, so right. Speaking of
00:18:04.440 make-believe stuff, every month or so, there is some new headline that they want to change James Bond.
00:18:14.740 James Bond is a British dude and they're always trying to change that. And so they're going to
00:18:21.160 make him some other ethnicity, which I guess is, it's certainly more plausible than the other option,
00:18:26.540 which is they want to make him another sex. So James Bond is going to become Jane Bond or something
00:18:32.160 like that. And it always pops up on Twitter and then it kind of disappears or it comes up in the news
00:18:37.980 and then it doesn't really happen. But the producer of James Bond, Barbara Broccoli, has now finally
00:18:42.920 opened the door to one of these possibilities. She says, no, James Bond is not going to be a woman,
00:18:48.840 but he might not always be a man. Now, I'm, I'm no biologist, but I don't, I don't understand what,
00:18:58.280 so here's what she says. I think we should be making more films about women. This is the answer,
00:19:03.020 will James Bond ever be a woman? I think we should be making more films about women.
00:19:06.920 I think Bond will be a man. Non-binary, perhaps, one day? Maybe. Who knows? I mean, I think it's
00:19:15.640 open. We just have to find the right actor. Now, I can't tell here if Barbara Broccoli is being
00:19:21.640 facetious, if she is peppered by this insane suggestion so often that James Bond should be a
00:19:26.680 woman, that she says, no, no, no, not a woman. He's probably a man. Now, non-binary, is that a joke? Is
00:19:31.660 that taking it into an even more extreme area or is it not? Is she saying, as I think many people in
00:19:37.340 the culture are saying, that no, he can't be a woman because that would, that would be so ludicrous,
00:19:41.260 but what if men and women stop being like men and like women? And what if we, what if we pretend
00:19:47.840 that there's really not much of a difference between men and women? And what if we pretend even more
00:19:52.180 absurdly that someone can be neither a man or a woman, but something, some combination or neither or
00:19:58.300 both. What about that? James Bond will not be non-binary. He won't be non-binary because non-binary
00:20:11.460 does not exist. I'm not saying that there aren't people who mistakenly believe that they are any
00:20:17.140 of these crazy categories, but the category itself does not exist. It is not real. It, like the hate
00:20:25.600 crime against Jussie Smollett is a figment of fevered imaginations. So James Bond will never be
00:20:31.740 that. Furthermore, James Bond will never be one of these kooky gender things because if the character
00:20:39.600 known as James Bond is one of those kooky gender things, he will cease to be James Bond because James
00:20:45.340 Bond is a dude with a funny accent who has a license to kill and drinks martinis shaken, not stirred.
00:20:53.240 That is who the character is. You can't go into the movie and replace James Bond with Luke Skywalker
00:21:02.620 and say that Luke Skywalker is now James Bond. They're just different characters. They have
00:21:06.380 characteristics. It's not possible. Even this line here, this first one, this very politically correct
00:21:11.460 line, look, I think we should, we should be making more films about women, but I don't think that we
00:21:16.120 should take the male movies and the male characters and just pretend that they're women and have the
00:21:21.040 women pretend to be men. Why do we need to make more films about women? Why? Why is that something
00:21:28.180 we really need to do? Is anyone asking for that? Seriously? I know that people are saying that to
00:21:34.280 sound politically correct and very socially acceptable, but does anyone really want that?
00:21:38.900 I don't think so because whenever those movies come out, with some exceptions, they bomb at the box
00:21:42.800 office. Certainly when you take a property that I guess is not necessarily gendered,
00:21:50.220 you know, like Ocean's Eleven. I mean, I think, I guess really, I think ultimately that is a man's
00:21:55.700 movie or a Ghostbusters or something, and then they make it with women and the movies are terrible.
00:22:00.760 Or you make some, you know, Captain, Captain Marvel, right? That was the one with the woman.
00:22:05.500 I've only seen a handful of these Marvel movies, but the movie was horrible.
00:22:09.020 And so you might say, well, even the superheroes are generally men. Okay, well, so this distinction
00:22:15.140 is a little bit blurry, but all I know is this. Whenever you make a movie specifically to make
00:22:21.700 more women movies, the movies bomb and they're terrible. There are plenty of wonderful women
00:22:29.240 characters throughout all of literature and film and theater, but they're not the characters that you
00:22:35.620 just shoehorn into there and, and really try to make a point. I don't, I think we probably have
00:22:42.560 during the golden age of cinema, we probably had the exact right number of women movies or women
00:22:48.520 characters or whatever. I think we had the exact, I think when movies were good, that was the right
00:22:53.020 amount. And now that movies are terrible, we have some wrong amount. And you're not going to correct
00:22:56.900 that by being even more politically correct. But the, the destruction of Western art is, is way worse
00:23:06.040 than just trying to make James Bond have purple hair and a nose ring, you know, and wear androgynous
00:23:12.640 clothing. It's a lot worse than that. One of the greatest works of Western art ever in the entire
00:23:20.160 history of our civilization is on the verge of being completely destroyed or almost completely
00:23:26.680 destroyed by politically correct people in France who want to wreck Notre Dame. When you want to go
00:23:34.680 to France, that takes a lot of jet fuel and it takes a lot of gasoline to get to the airport, which is
00:23:40.580 why you're going to want to save a little bit of money on that. You're going to want to get, get
00:23:43.900 upside. Around this time of year, life gets a little more expensive. You're buying food for
00:23:49.740 holiday dinners. You're buying Christmas presents. You're buying travel to go see people. Now that's
00:23:55.800 especially bad when inflation is 6.8%. And that's especially bad when gas is getting hit just about
00:24:03.180 as high as anybody else. You're looking at, at $7 per gallon in California. Well, maybe you should
00:24:09.200 check out GetUpside. My listeners are making up to 25 cents for every gallon of gas every time they fill

00:25:06.120 major boost to our legal challenge because we are suing the Biden administration. We have over 800,000
00:25:11.780 signatures so far. That's a lot of signatures. We need your help to cross the finish line.
00:25:16.220 Please, right now, sign the petition at dailywire.com slash do not comply and then share the petition with
00:25:22.200 all of your friends and family. Send a message to the Biden administration. We will be right back
00:25:25.980 with a lot more. France's National Heritage and Architecture Commission voted on Thursday to
00:25:43.720 approve restoration plans, restoration quote unquote, that will turn Notre Dame into a sort of woke Disney
00:25:51.100 world. So the first thing to establish here is that while there is some participation here from the
00:25:59.440 Catholic Church, this was not a decision by the Catholic Church. This was a decision by the state of
00:26:05.160 France because at the time of the French Revolution, the French state stole Notre Dame from the Catholic
00:26:12.260 Church. And they have destroyed parts of Notre Dame before the French revolutionaries tried to take out
00:26:18.860 all the Catholic aspects of Notre Dame and turn it into a temple of reason. You had goddess reason
00:26:23.920 enshrined at the temple of Notre Dame. So the French have been after this for a long time.
00:26:29.780 And unfortunately, it was able to be restored in a more Catholic way. But this is coming from the state
00:26:34.240 of France. Now, the plans are being overseen by a priest, Father Giles, Gilles, Drun, I don't know.
00:26:41.700 And the plans include removing confessionals, you know, where you go in and you confess to the priest,
00:26:46.680 removing altars from the 13th century cathedral, removing classical artwork, removing the classical
00:26:55.520 and religious sculpture, and replacing it with modern street art, you know, graffiti and absurdism
00:27:04.940 and that kind of stuff. The confessionals and other areas will be replaced by, quote, emotional spaces.
00:27:16.680 There will be new light displays, new kind of techno light displays. There will be new sound effects.
00:27:23.520 They're going to add sound effects to the 13th century church. And they're going to make these
00:27:29.240 spaces, which are now not Christian. They're just, they're kind of, they're emotional. They're,
00:27:33.640 there's an environmentalist. They want to turn one of the chapels into an environmentalist chapel.
00:27:38.540 They're going to make this more welcoming, quote, unquote, for people who are, quote,
00:27:43.520 not always from a Christian culture. It's going to be more welcoming. I think that Christianity is
00:27:49.300 pretty welcoming. You know, I think Christianity offers the hope of salvation to every man, woman,
00:27:56.280 and child on earth, regardless of your race, regardless of your class or your wealth,
00:28:01.140 regardless of your geography. I think Christianity is the most welcoming religion in the history of
00:28:07.540 the world. And it also has the benefit of being the true religion. It also has the benefit of having
00:28:13.120 a connection to reality. And I know many listeners to this program are agnostic or atheist or maybe come
00:28:18.280 from other faiths. And I don't mean to be insulting or denigrate anyone at all. But if you have religious
00:28:23.780 views and if you take religion seriously, then you know that the claims made by religion must be truth
00:28:29.220 claims. It can't merely be some kind of subjectivist, you do you and I'll do me. If you really believe,
00:28:35.780 then you believe because you think that your religion is true. And one of the wonderful aspects
00:28:43.120 of Christianity, which I believe is true, is that it is extremely welcoming to everybody. Everybody has
00:28:51.060 the hope of salvation. Nobody has the hope of salvation in this insane, secular, leftist religion
00:28:57.220 that they are trying to enshrine at Notre Dame. No one has the hope of salvation. It's this weird
00:29:04.280 melange of paganism and atheism and materialism. The paganism being the environmentalist chapel
00:29:10.620 so that we can all worship Mother Gaia or something like that. The sentimentalism being this, the
00:29:17.800 emotional spaces where we don't put up our sorrows and the sufferings of this world that are inevitable
00:29:24.060 in this world, in our fallen world. We don't just send them up to God and pray for relief and have
00:29:30.660 our suffering be sanctifying, but we just kind of try to feel a little bit nicer or something.
00:29:35.500 The emotional spaces or the lighting effects that are just kind of welcoming, that really don't give
00:29:42.480 us hope of anything because we just think we're all just sort of meat puppets, you know, and all we
00:29:46.180 exist to do is get some pleasure and be entertained like clapping seals. I'm mixing metaphors, but you get the
00:29:50.920 point. This cathedral can never be a cathedral to everything. It can never be a neutral cathedral.
00:30:01.440 It can never be a non-binary cathedral. And it can never be a cathedral to everything. It's going to
00:30:07.600 have to be a cathedral to something. Traditionally, as it was built, one of the greatest works in history,
00:30:14.780 it was a cathedral. It was inspired by, and it was conducive to the Christian faith.
00:30:20.860 Every time that the cathedral has been tried to be made into something else, it has been made much
00:30:27.360 worse and uglier and harsher for people. And the religion of leftism is really, really ugly,
00:30:35.740 and it's not going to be welcoming to anybody. So much for the inclusive left. It's not going to be
00:30:41.460 welcoming to everybody. It's going to try to dim, ultimately unsuccessfully, but it can cause a lot
00:30:47.380 of pain in the short term. It's going to try to dim the greatest and only hope of mankind.
00:30:52.200 Speaking of religion, Travis Scott, he is that, what is he, a rapper or a singer or something? I don't
00:30:58.880 know. Again, I had never heard of him until there was a real attack at his concert at Astroworld,
00:31:05.340 where people were killed. It was overcrowded. There was all this creepy satanic imagery everywhere,
00:31:11.780 including the entrance to the concert and some of the mottos and slogans from the concert. A lot of
00:31:17.260 the imagery was satanic. And then people died, and it was really, really ugly. Travis Scott now is
00:31:23.900 facing a lot of lawsuits about this. And so he's saying, no, it wasn't intentionally satanic.
00:31:29.080 All that imagery, no, don't. It's not what you think it is. I am a man of God. I am a man of God,
00:31:35.800 he says. I don't know if Travis Scott is a man of God. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't.
00:31:40.320 Isn't really for me to know that sort of thing. I'm a little skeptical of it, given all the satanic
00:31:46.320 imagery. Maybe he's just saying, I'm a man of God to cover his derriere because he's about to be
00:31:51.220 ruined with all of these lawsuits. But the only reason I mentioned this story, I don't have very much to
00:31:56.820 say about the story of Astroworld and the lawsuits. The only reason I mention it with regard to the
00:32:00.580 Notre Dame thing is, I don't even want to call it a renovation or arrest. It's just a, it's a thing.
00:32:07.240 It's a degradation is what it is. Is that Travis Scott is either a man of God or a man of the devil.
00:32:15.500 Okay. It is binary. You can't be non-binary when it comes to religion. You're, you're, you're with God
00:32:23.080 or against God. That that's in the Bible. That's where George Bush got that line from his war on
00:32:30.600 terror speeches where he said, you're either with us or against us. Well, it's from the Bible and it
00:32:34.160 happens to be true. You're either with God or you're against God. And you, you can't really just
00:32:38.840 be neutral. I know that we live in this time where we think everything can be neutral and it comes from
00:32:43.720 a perverted view of liberalism that was really popular in the 20th century, that you can just be
00:32:49.520 neutral on, we can have neutral public schools. We're going to have neutral public squares and
00:32:54.720 everything's going to be totally neutral news media, but you can't, you're going to have to
00:32:59.280 have premises. You're going to have to believe something and it's in the neutrality is an illusion.
00:33:04.080 So pick one or the other. I certainly, certainly think it's wiser to bet on God. I would not,
00:33:09.580 I would not throw in your lot with the devil. Did you know that over 85% of grass-fed beef sold in

00:33:51.060 really terrible and devilish going on. They're trying to count, cancel the sweet baby or the sweet
00:33:57.700 daddy who is the leader of the sweet baby gang. I'm talking about my colleague, Matt Walsh. Matt Walsh
00:34:01.920 is or was the number one bestselling children's author in the country, as well as the number one
00:34:09.160 bestselling LGBTQ author in the country. He's a gay icon, Matt Walsh. And now they're trying to cancel
00:34:16.440 him. Target's website is no longer hosting the Johnny the Walrus children's book. Amazon has removed the
00:34:25.080 book from the top spot on the LGBTQ plus category. I don't think it's because the book stopped selling.
00:34:30.600 I think it's because they didn't, they didn't want to keep hearing all the gripes from leftists
00:34:35.920 and they might take the book down from Amazon. And I know a lot of people think, oh, the best thing
00:34:42.260 that could happen to Walsh is to get canceled because then it'll get a lot of attention. It'll
00:34:45.640 sell more books. In the case of this book, I'm not sure that's exactly true because I don't know
00:34:50.740 really where people can buy it. But further, even if it is true, sometimes if you get canceled,
00:34:55.900 this happened to my friend, Ryan Anderson, Ryan T. Anderson at the Ethics in Public Policy,
00:35:00.880 Center. He has this book, When Harry Became Sally. It's one of the best titled books,
00:35:05.300 especially on transgenderism or really any book ever. And so the book got canceled from Amazon and
00:35:10.520 his sales spiked through the roof. And this would happen every, every so often. Okay, sure. That works
00:35:16.260 for a short time. But in the long run, the vast majority of books sold are sold on Amazon.
00:35:22.820 If you're not on Amazon, you're not selling books. In the long run, this actually can hurt Walsh
00:35:29.960 and conservatives. So it's why once, you know, a little publicity stunts or something wear off,
00:35:37.020 conservatives do need a separate infrastructure. It's not enough to just keep, you can sell through
00:35:43.300 these guys. I think it's perfectly right to sell through the means that you can now,
00:35:46.040 but you do need a separate infrastructure and complaining and whining about how Amazon is in
00:35:51.080 a neutral space isn't going to get you anywhere. One, because Amazon doesn't care and the libs
00:35:55.400 don't care. And two, because there's no such thing as a neutral space because everybody got to serve
00:36:01.560 somebody. All right. Everyone's going to have certain beliefs and certain things are always going
00:36:06.200 to be excluded from the public square and acceptable discourse. This is the point of my book,
00:36:10.540 Speechless Controlling Words, Controlling Minds, available now and number one national bestselling
00:36:14.780 book thanks to you and a great Christmas present. So I'm just going to mention that. Reasons to vote
00:36:18.800 for Democrats, my magnum opus without any words is also a great Christmas present. And you can still
00:36:23.160 get those, I think, at most places where you buy books. But the point is the conservatives get this
00:36:28.380 free speech issue wrong a lot. Okay. And so I think the left misunderstands reality in much
00:36:36.060 more prevalent and much more serious in ways than the conservatives misunderstand reality. But we
00:36:42.440 misunderstand reality sometimes too. And it's not going to help us to pretend the world is different
00:36:46.580 than it is. Speaking of sex, Chuck Schumer. Chuck Schumer is very insistent right now that on the
00:36:58.560 Build Back Better agenda, the Democrats stick by one plank above all. And that would be paid
00:37:05.480 family leave. I got in trouble a month or two ago because I mocked Pete Buttigieg for going on
00:37:12.360 paternity leave. One, I think it's very silly for any cabinet secretary to take two months off of work.
00:37:18.680 Two, I think paternity leave in general is pretty silly because I think men and women are different
00:37:24.740 and mothers have a much more serious role, especially with really little babies, than fathers do.
00:37:30.140 And I got a lot of flack for this, including from some conservatives. Because here's what the
00:37:36.880 conservatives say. They say, Michael, you claim to be pro-family. So you should support these pro-family
00:37:43.620 policies. Michael, you claim to be pro-family. But what are you, you're just shilling for corporations
00:37:49.240 who just want to make you work more. And you're just, you're focusing on all the same old dumb talking
00:37:53.520 points of the past 20 years. But we need to, if the right is going to have a future, we need to become
00:37:59.240 very pro-family. We need to be able to use the government to encourage families. I agree with
00:38:04.460 that point. I agree. I don't, I have no problem wielding government power to encourage families.
00:38:11.360 But I don't think that's what the libs are doing here. I don't think that's what Chuck Schumer is doing.
00:38:16.820 You're telling me that Chuck Schumer and the libs, who have spent the past several decades,
00:38:22.620 the libs broadly have spent the last half century doing their best at every step of the way to
00:38:27.300 destroy the American family. You're telling me that now all of a sudden they're trying to help
00:38:31.320 the American family and we should believe them and go along with their policy. Are you insane?
00:38:36.020 Are you Charlie Brown with the football? Are you going to go buy a bridge in Brooklyn? That's not
00:38:40.200 what's going on here. They're calling it paid family leave. They're calling it a family policy,
00:38:44.620 but they're the libs. They use political correctness and distort language to mean it's opposite all the
00:38:50.840 time. And what these policies are doing and what they will do is not strengthen the family,
00:38:56.280 but weaken them even further. There are plenty of ways to help the American family. Here are some
00:38:59.840 good ways that the government can intervene to help the American family. Drastically reduce
00:39:04.600 immigration. Illegal, certainly, and legal immigration too. This will hurt the Chamber of
00:39:10.940 Commerce. It'll hurt woke corporations, but it will help the American worker because his wages will rise
00:39:16.540 because the American worker won't be competing with an endless flow of low skilled labor.
00:39:21.600 Good stuff. That'll help you take care of your family. That might help you too. I know this is
00:39:26.120 going to be really controversial. Only need one parent to go out and work and maybe the other
00:39:30.640 parent can stay home and raise the kids. We're not allowed to say that anymore. And the corporate
00:39:35.760 establishment, which is generally liberal, but it's backed up by a lot of Republicans. They don't
00:39:41.200 necessarily want you to do that. They think that boosting GDP a little bit further is the most
00:39:45.180 important thing in America and both parents need to work all the time and you just got to ship your
00:39:48.460 kid off to daycare. And by the way, if you are putting your kid into a more economically quantifiable
00:39:56.580 sort of daycare system, then you are going to see GDP increase. Then you are going to see the economy
00:40:00.660 is going to look more robust. But I don't think that's good for families. I think it's much better
00:40:05.560 for families if families have the opportunity for one parent to stay home and actually raise the kids.
00:40:10.720 That would be one way that we could encourage it. What about the declining birth rate in America?
00:40:15.780 The birth rate has been declining for an extraordinarily long time. And in recent years,
00:40:20.300 it's been clobbered even more. I don't even mind having the government go in and pay families to
00:40:26.300 have kids. That's what they've done in Hungary. It's actually worked out very well. It reversed their
00:40:30.600 birth rate problem. So don't tell me it doesn't work. It actually can work. I'm not even opposed to
00:40:34.980 that. You'd need obviously safeguards so that it doesn't get abused. But I think that's a fine idea too.
00:40:40.880 What I am not for is the Libs idea of taking sex out of motherhood and fatherhood. What I am not for
00:40:53.240 is for creating these sort of government mandates to give you more goodies without necessarily having
00:41:02.380 that affect the way that American families are growing. What I am not for is pretending that men
00:41:07.420 are women and women are men. What I am not for is redefining marriage away from what it has always
00:41:11.620 meant to some new idea. What I am not for is depriving a child of a mother and a father.
00:41:15.780 I'm not for that. And that's what the Libs are after. And that's why the conservatives need to be
00:41:19.480 wise about this. Be wise as a serpent and innocent as a dove. Speaking of illegal aliens,
00:41:28.000 Governor Ron DeSantis is wielding the power of the state to actively boot illegal aliens out of
00:41:37.360 Florida. Yesterday's budget, I put in $8 million for us to be able to transport people illegally out
00:41:46.700 of the state of Florida. And we had mentioned, and I said, you know, it's somewhat tongue in cheek,
00:41:51.480 but it is true. If you sent to Delaware or Martha's Vineyard or some of these places,
00:41:56.340 that border would be secure the next day. That border would be secure. But instead,
00:42:01.340 they're imposing the results of their policies on states like Florida, who they love to hate or
00:42:08.200 whatever. But we are going to provide that opportunity. And I think that that could potentially
00:42:13.080 make a difference. Love it. This is awesome. The Libs and the Squishes are going to decry this.
00:42:20.080 And they're going to say, this is terrible. You have no right, Governor, to ship people from Florida
00:42:25.300 to the other states. No, you can't just do that. First of all, this kind of a policy has a long
00:42:31.420 tradition in American politics. It was always rumored that Giuliani would do this to the homeless
00:42:35.880 people. He'd give them one-way bus tickets and say, get out of the city. And Giuliani had other
00:42:40.440 policies too. And it did clean up the homeless problem. And so what's happening in Florida is
00:42:44.500 Florida is a very attractive state. It's not so far from the southern border. And it's got really
00:42:51.660 great government. And it's good to thrive there. And it's beautiful. And you can have a really good
00:42:59.120 life. It's really attractive. And so people who are violating our nation's most basic laws
00:43:03.380 at the encouragement of people like Joe Biden and the Democrats are going to places like Florida,
00:43:08.940 which have Republican governors who are saying, we don't want this to be happening. And if I were
00:43:13.100 running the show, and I'm sure Governor DeSantis thinks a lot about what would happen if he were
00:43:16.480 in the White House, we wouldn't have this and we'd crack down more on the border. So what DeSantis is
00:43:20.880 saying here is, no, enough is enough. This isn't my problem. You libs want it? Fine. Take them.
00:43:24.840 Here you go. How is this policy going to look in practice? I don't know. But if the policy were
00:43:30.420 buy an airplane ticket for illegal aliens and say, go to Illinois, go to California,
00:43:37.140 go to New York, go to, go to, I don't know, any, anywhere that's a really hardcore blue state,
00:43:42.900 I would support that policy. And then you guys deal with it. You want to deal with it? Then you
00:43:49.240 deal with it. We're not going to do it here in Florida. I think that would be a good use of the
00:43:54.220 state. People are suggesting this is lawless. This is way less lawless than amnesty and open
00:44:03.080 borders and the programs that the libs and the squishes who are going to clutch their pearls
00:44:06.460 about this are pushing. Good on them. We should see this in every conservative state in America.
00:44:12.460 Ship them all to the lib blue states and let them deal with the consequences of their policy.
00:44:18.440 Speaking of leaving places, Chris Wallace is leaving Fox News Channel. Chris Wallace has been
00:44:24.140 at Fox News Channel a long time. He's hosted Fox News Sunday, and he just announced in what seemed
00:44:29.440 like a surprise announcement that he is leaving Fox News Sunday effective immediately.
00:44:34.460 After 18 years, this is my final Fox News Sunday. It is the last time, and I say this with real
00:44:41.000 sadness, we will meet like this. It's been a great ride. We've covered five presidential elections,
00:44:47.840 interviewed every president since George H.W. Bush, traveled the world sitting down with
00:44:53.620 France's Emmanuel Macron, and Russia's Vladimir Putin. And I've gotten to spend Sunday mornings
00:45:00.340 with you. It may sound corny, but I feel we've built a community here. There's a lot you can
00:45:07.200 do on Sunday mornings. The fact you've chosen to spend this hour with us is something I cherish.
00:45:13.920 But after 18 years, I have decided to leave Fox. I want to try something new to go beyond politics
00:45:20.120 to all the things I'm interested in. I'm ready for a new adventure, and I hope you'll check it out.
00:45:26.840 Wow, Chris, you're leaving a really big show. Fox News Sunday is a really big show. Cable news is
00:45:32.200 kind of on the decline, but still, you know, Fox News Sunday is a very big property. You've been
00:45:36.120 there forever. So whatever you're doing next must be really, really big and really important. Okay,
00:45:41.120 so let's see. I've got it here. Chris is going to the CNN digital streaming platform.
00:45:50.760 So Chris is leaving one of the bigger shows on cable news, on the biggest news channel on cable news,
00:46:00.320 to go to a smaller news channels, not television station, but digital streaming service,
00:46:07.440 which is nowhere near the size of the biggest streaming services on the right. Now, I guess
00:46:12.980 we're probably the biggest one on the right. Depends on how you quantify it. Huh? Why would he be doing
00:46:20.380 that? He might have been pushed out. His contract might have been up. I don't know. Or he might have
00:46:24.440 genuinely wanted to leave Fox. I never really had a big problem with Chris Wallace until that
00:46:28.980 presidential debate in 2020, where he was so overtly and dishonestly partisan as a Democrat that it
00:46:36.380 was unbearable. Chris Wallace has always been a Democrat, but he's, he's always had this
00:46:42.580 pretense of at least, or maybe he was really trying to have some kind of neutrality. He was trying to
00:46:49.660 be disinterested, bipartisan, equal opportunity interviewer. Regardless about what Chris Wallace
00:46:58.540 wants or what he's excited about or the inner workings of this negotiation, the bigger takeaway from
00:47:04.000 Chris Wallace leaving Fox News after all these years to go to CNN, to go to the streaming platform
00:47:08.840 even, is that the audiences no longer believe or want the pretense of impartiality in news.
00:47:18.540 When Chris Wallace was hired by Fox News, it was because even the conservatives, Fox News was at least
00:47:24.560 broadly the conservative news channel, but they wanted to have the pretense of, we're going to be totally
00:47:30.560 down the middle. We're going to call it like we see it, fair and balanced. We're not really the
00:47:34.400 conservative. We're going to be totally impartial. You see this in the law with something like
00:47:38.520 originalism, which says we're going to be totally impartial about the left and the right and
00:47:42.800 conservative and leftist. And we're just going to read the text in this very neutral, impartial way.
00:47:49.040 You see this in public schools. We're not going to indoctrinate people. We're just going to educate
00:47:53.520 people. We're not going to teach them what to think, just teach them how to think. We'll be totally
00:47:56.120 neutral. See this in the public square. We're going to be totally neutral between say religions or
00:47:59.940 different beliefs. We're going to be totally, and that idea of neutrality in public is, that's not
00:48:06.660 the old way of doing things. That was a really strange phenomenon that existed for part of, you
00:48:12.780 know, the second half of the 20th century, but it's not real. People believe things. There is no
00:48:20.040 neutrality, whether it's on cable news or whether it's in the public square, whether it's in religion,
00:48:24.880 wherever it's anywhere else. If you stand in the middle of the road, you are going to be,
00:48:29.940 hit by a truck. Speaking of, there's been a lot of death talked about in the show today. You will
00:48:34.840 be hit by a truck, so pick a side. I'm Michael Knowles. This is the Michael Knowles. We'll see you
00:48:39.180 tomorrow.
00:49:09.180 Today on the Matt Wall Show, after tornadoes devastated parts of the country on Saturday,
00:49:35.240 the left insists that the disaster could have been prevented through legislation. Is that true?
00:49:39.700 Can we pass laws that will stop tornadoes? We have to deal with that today. Also, major retail chains
00:49:43.900 beg Congress for help in dealing with the surge in crime. I'll explain why they should be basically
00:49:48.380 out of luck. And a Catholic diocese says that it's a sin to try and change your gender. The media is
00:49:52.880 treating this like breaking news, but isn't that what every competent Christian believes? And with
00:49:56.780 Jussie Smollett's conviction, there is a competition to see who can take his place as our nation's chief
00:50:01.740 race hoaxer. One BLM supporting doctor seems to be auditioning for the role. We'll talk about all
00:50:06.540 that and much more today on the Matt Wall Show.
