Ep. 912 - There Must Be Something In The Water

Summary

Another day, another lie from the public health establishment. A few days ago, the corporate media began reporting on the first confirmed Omicron death in the United States. You may have noticed that I did not report on that death because I no longer believe anything the media tell me, especially about coronavirus. And it turns out I was right not to believe them because, as the journalist Dan Cohen learned during a phone call with the Harris County Public Health Department, the story is complete BS.

00:00:00.000 Another day, another lie from the public health establishment.
00:00:03.800 A few days ago, the corporate media began reporting on the first confirmed Omicron death in the United States.
00:00:10.180 You may have noticed that I did not report on that death because I no longer believe anything the corporate media tell me, especially about coronavirus.
00:00:19.380 And it turns out I was right not to believe them because, as the journalist Dan Cohen learned during a phone call with the Harris County Public Health Department,
00:00:27.300 the story is complete BS.
00:00:30.920 We've just confirmed the first death in the United States due to the Omicron variant in Texas.
00:00:36.100 On Monday, Texas reported the country's first known Omicron death, a man in his 50s who was not vaccinated.
00:00:42.400 We can't confirm that the patient died from COVID, but we can say that he was Omicron positive at the time of his death.
00:00:50.720 So he died with COVID, but you can't say that he died from COVID?
00:00:54.720 Correct. This information comes from our epidemiologists, who are the ones who get the reports.
00:01:01.760 They have to do a very meticulous investigation because, you know, they do take this very much at heart.
00:01:10.320 They're telling me that they cannot say that COVID was the absolute cause of death.
00:01:17.360 If the public health officials could plausibly blame this man's death on COVID, they would.
00:01:24.440 But they can't, so they're not doing that.
00:01:27.260 But the media don't care about the truth, so they're running with it anyway.
00:01:31.380 How long before people learn from those sage words of George W. Bush?
00:01:36.440 Fool me once, shame on you.
00:01:38.820 Fool me twice, heh heh.
00:01:40.740 Well, the point is, you're not going to fool me again.
00:01:43.160 I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:01:47.360 Welcome back to the show. My favorite comment yesterday is from Giovanni Garcia, who says,
00:01:57.360 Biden's stop it speech is like those memes where it's just some Instagram girl who posts a selfie
00:02:03.300 and captions it. Hey, racism, stop it. Yes, that is about the level of rhetoric and statecraft that
00:02:12.660 you're seeing from Joe Biden and just as effective. Hey, virus, stop it. I'm going to shut you. How am
00:02:19.060 I going to shut down the virus? I'm going to say, stop it really angrily. Just as angrily as I said,
00:02:24.380 stop it to corn pop. And that'll do it. That'll do it, right? I don't think so. We need a little
00:02:30.380 more virility, I think. And on the subject of virility, if you're interested in such things,

00:03:52.180 Okay. The first Omicron death in the United States, that's a lie. Even at the time, the more honest
00:04:01.820 news sources were reporting that the man who died had other diseases, had other comorbidities. And so,
00:04:10.700 you know, anyone who can read between the lines would have realized, okay, that's what he died from.
00:04:16.080 And he just happened to have Omicron. This is like the stories you heard in 2020 when a guy would get
00:04:21.340 shot in the head, but he was listed as a COVID death because he happened to have COVID while some
00:04:26.720 guy was shooting him. So that one debunked, not that you heard it from the horse's mouth. You heard
00:04:34.260 it from the mouth of the Harris County Public Health Department. But we're all going to get Omicron.
00:04:39.900 We're all going to get it. And so you're going to hear about a lot more Omicron deaths because people
00:04:44.020 are still going to die of all the normal things that they die from. And a lot of people are going
00:04:48.060 to have Omicron. And just because you die with Omicron does not mean you die from Omicron. There's
00:04:53.320 a story just came out of Texas that the Omicron variant has been detected in nearly every Harris
00:05:01.300 County wastewater treatment facility as the viral load is rising in downtown Houston. Basically,
00:05:08.380 every water treatment plant in the entire county has Omicron. Dr. Kavan Mojarad, he is the director of
00:05:20.660 Walter Reed's infectious diseases branch. He has just said, quote, with Omicron, there is really no way
00:05:29.000 to escape the virus. You are not going to be able to avoid it. So I think pretty soon either the whole
00:05:36.580 world will be vaccinated or have been infected or both. I'm just speaking anecdotally, but worth
00:05:47.100 remembering the plural of anecdote actually is data. I've got a ton of friends all over the country
00:05:54.120 who have COVID right now. I guess it would probably be the Omicron. That's now the dominant strain in the
00:05:59.800 United States. And it's apparently very transmissible, not very serious, not very life threatening, but but very
00:06:07.580 transmissible. And probably most of the people who have gotten it are vaccinated. We all we all know people who have the
00:06:16.980 vaccine, many of whom have booster shots who still get it. Now, it's unbelievable. You're seeing the left in real time
00:06:25.520 redefine vaccines. Bill Gates the other day said that the purpose of vaccines, not even just this
00:06:31.040 vaccine, but the purpose of vaccines generally is not to prevent you from getting viruses, but to
00:06:36.060 mitigate the symptoms, which is obviously just complete BS. What are you talking about? We get the
00:06:42.840 polio vaccine so that we only get a milder form of polio. Is that is that why we get it? We get the
00:06:47.460 meningitis vaccine so that meningitis is not quite as severe when we get it. No, the vaccines are supposed
00:06:54.020 to prevent you from getting the virus. And that's what we were promised in the early days of this
00:06:58.460 vaccine. And then the vaccine failed and wasn't as effective as people told us it was. And so they
00:07:03.260 just redefined what vaccines are. And they said, no, no, what are you talking about? You crazy
00:07:07.760 anti-science conspiracy theorist. Vaccines were never supposed to prevent you from getting viruses.
00:07:13.040 No, it's just supposed to possibly mitigate the symptoms. Oh, okay. Well, that's interesting.
00:07:19.020 Where'd that, how far do you have to move the goalpost to get to that definition? It's like
00:07:23.340 you're in a different football field. Now you move those goalposts so far, regardless, this is
00:07:29.380 actually good news. I'm actually glad to hear if we're going to have COVID, if we're going to have
00:07:35.760 these viruses, if we're going to have this very transmissible variant, I am pleased to hear that
00:07:40.920 it's just everywhere now, that it's in every water treatment facility in this County and it's going all
00:07:46.700 over the country. I'm pleased to hear it because it means you should go to Christmas. Go to Christmas
00:07:53.300 dinner. Tune out Dr. Fauci. Go to Christmas dinner. See your family. See your friends. Do you have the
00:08:02.280 vaccine? Go to Christmas dinner. Do you not have the vaccine? Go to Christmas dinner. Doesn't matter.
00:08:07.960 You're all going to get it. You're all going to get it. And I know now they're pretending that if you
00:08:12.100 have the vaccine, you're probably not going to get it, but you will. You will. We all know it
00:08:16.900 because we all know people who have the vaccine who just in the past couple of weeks have gotten it.
00:08:22.200 Okay. So just go. The die is cast. All right. Just live your lives. Live your lives. That's it.
00:08:29.700 There's nothing, there's nothing you can do. The only choice, the choice is not get COVID or don't get
00:08:35.580 COVID. The choice now is cower in fear in your closet for another three years or go live your
00:08:43.480 life. Seems, seems like the latter is going to be more enjoyable. It's in the water folks. It's in
00:08:49.980 the water treatment facilities. You're not escaping it. You might even get it while you're cowering in
00:08:54.420 your closet. Speaking of waters, this is going to be the best transition I've ever done in the history
00:08:59.920 of this show. Speaking of waters, my friend, Jesse waters has gotten in trouble recently
00:09:06.080 because Jesse waters is a, a show TV show host at Fox news. Jesse waters was speaking at the
00:09:13.900 turning point USA conference a week or so ago. And Jesse got in trouble because the left-wing media said
00:09:23.120 he threatened to kill Dr. Fauci. He threatened, he encouraged people to go out there and
00:09:29.900 shoot Dr. Fauci in the head. Uh, when I read that, I thought, you know, I don't look not saying
00:09:37.280 that Jesse waters and I are bosom buddies, but I know the guy a little bit. I don't, I don't think
00:09:41.120 he's the sort of fella to do that said, let me, let me go find the speech. And you'll notice that
00:09:47.220 all the left-wing networks that are, that are pushing this, none of them are showing you the actual
00:09:52.020 speech. So I thought, okay, there's the dead giveaway. He didn't really say that. Take a listen to
00:09:56.660 what Jesse waters actually said. You got to ambush a guy like Fauci. Okay. This is how you do these
00:10:03.480 ambushes. Like O'Keefe. You got to be respectful because they'll turn the tables on you and you
00:10:08.840 can't have a blow up in your face. So if you see Fauci out and about and you know, he's coming to town,
00:10:13.720 this is how you approach. Okay. Keep a little document in your pocket. All right. This is the
00:10:20.840 grant that funded the research. It's in your pocket. Not even Rand Paul has been able to get
00:10:27.300 in his face and point with the grant in his face. So then he's in trouble. Now you're going for the
00:10:35.160 kill shot, the kill shot with an ambush deadly because he doesn't see it coming. This is when you
00:10:44.020 say, Dr. Fauci, you funded risky research at a sloppy Chinese lab, the same lab that sprung this pandemic
00:10:57.280 on the world. You know why people don't trust you, don't you? Boom. He is dead. Okay. Does anyone
00:11:08.400 watching that clip believe that Jesse Waters is encouraging people to go out and shoot Dr. Fauci
00:11:14.780 in the head? No, he's obviously speaking rhetorically. He's obviously speaking metaphorically,
00:11:23.860 right? He's saying, well, he's saying here's, here's the ambush. The ambush is not throwing a net on him
00:11:31.120 or tackling him. The ambush is, Hey, I've got this document. And then here's the kill shot. The kill
00:11:36.900 shot is not a bullet to the head. The kill shot is you funded this risky research at a filthy Chinese
00:11:43.040 laboratory that then had a virus escape. And okay, fair enough. Well, the left is going bonkers with
00:11:52.400 this. They think this is an opportunity to take out a conservative TV host. And so not only is CNN
00:12:00.680 talking about how awful this is and not only are the left-wing media, Dr. Fauci himself is saying,
00:12:05.860 Jesse Waters should be fired. Now, speaking of Americans keeping their jobs,

00:13:43.480 Dr. Fauci. Dr. Fauci is horrified by the suggestion made by Jesse Waters that people
00:13:55.720 should confront him over his funding of the Wuhan research facility. And so Dr. Fauci says Jesse
00:14:01.360 Waters needs to get fired. Well, John, that's horrible. I mean, that just is such a reflection
00:14:07.020 of the craziness that goes on in society. The only thing that I have ever done throughout these two
00:14:12.800 years is to encourage people to practice good public health practices, to get vaccinated,
00:14:20.560 to be careful in public settings, to wear a mask. And for that, you have some guy out there saying
00:14:26.700 that people should be giving me a kill shot to ambush me. I mean, what kind of craziness is there
00:14:32.480 in society these days? That's awful that he said that. And he's going to go very likely unaccountable.
00:14:38.920 I mean, whatever network he's on is not going to do anything for him. I mean, that's crazy. The guy
00:14:44.560 should be fired on the spot. Should be fired on the spot. There's only one person in this situation
00:14:50.840 who should be fired on the spot, who should have been fired on the spot a very long time ago.
00:14:55.360 That would be the guy who has run the infectious diseases branch of NIH for seven presidents.
00:15:02.960 The guy who screwed up AIDS, who engaged in extremely risky, illegal at one point research
00:15:10.680 in, in to gain, gain of function research, and then who screwed up the entire response to the
00:15:16.440 pandemic. That would be Dr. Anthony Fauci. He should be fired. He should be fired. He should very likely
00:15:23.660 be prosecuted, at least for perjury. Don't forget, he perjured himself while he was testifying before
00:15:28.580 the Senate. He said that he didn't fund gain of function research, and he did, and we have all the
00:15:33.260 evidence that he did. And he should be banished to St. Helena. Okay, I know people are going to say
00:15:41.000 that's too far. No. Fired, for sure. Prosecuted, for sure. Banished to a far-flung island where he can
00:15:50.300 never exert his terrible political influence again. Probably, at least. I'm all for it. That might be a
00:15:55.860 harder pitch to some people, but I'm all for it. And as Fauci predicted, Fox News is sticking by Jesse
00:16:01.400 Waters. I think that's great. I think it's really great that Fox News is sticking by one of their
00:16:06.040 on-air personalities when his comments were taken completely out of context by leftist
00:16:11.860 Democrat operatives. I think that's really good. That's good to see. Maybe a little surprising
00:16:17.600 these days, but it's good to see. I'm glad. I'm glad that Fox did that. So good job. Good job,
00:16:22.640 Fox. That's great. Glad that Jesse Waters is going to make it. Speaking of killing,
00:16:29.080 there is a possible hung jury in the trial of Kim Potter. I haven't followed this all that closely.
00:16:35.020 I suspect a lot of people have not followed this trial all that closely. Kim Potter is the woman,
00:16:39.640 she's a cop, who shot a young career criminal. He was young, but he was already a career criminal.
00:16:45.360 His name was Daunte Wright, and she shot him while he was resisting arrest. Wright had a warrant out for
00:16:51.220 his arrest related to aggravated armed robbery for failure to appear in court, fleeing police
00:16:56.980 officers, possessing a gun without a permit. He also had a restraining order out forbidding contact
00:17:02.080 with a woman. So he really, he did a lot despite not being all that old. So she shot him during this
00:17:11.660 altercation. The complicating factor here is that Potter admitted after she shot him that she meant
00:17:18.000 to use a taser. She meant to shoot him with a taser. She actually shot him with a gun and then
00:17:22.480 he got in the car with a, so he gets shot, he gets in the car with his girlfriend in the car and then
00:17:27.640 just drives off and crashes the car and injures his girlfriend. But apparently that doesn't bother him
00:17:32.060 all that much or it certainly didn't. I hope there's a hung jury or I hope she gets acquitted.
00:17:38.980 I, if you, this is my, this is my meta legal, my meta political analysis here of, you know, we're all
00:17:48.320 parsing the law and what happens if she did this and she admitted she wanted the taser and this and
00:17:53.560 that. Here's my main takeaway. If you're a violent career criminal resisting arrest, don't be surprised
00:18:02.600 when a cop shoots you. Don't play stupid games, win stupid prizes. That's, this is really good advice
00:18:11.800 and I hope that everyone who is considering becoming a career criminal and considering resisting arrest
00:18:17.800 listens to my advice and takes it very much to heart. If you do that, do not be surprised when a cop
00:18:25.740 shoots you. You, you have been warned. Don't, don't think that you have not been warned. Chris Rock
00:18:32.200 made a good point on this number of years ago. He said, look, if, if you're really concerned about
00:18:37.820 getting a beating at the hands of the police, here's some simple advice on how to avoid that.
00:18:44.280 Have you ever been face to face with a police officer and wondered, is he about to kick my ass?
00:18:51.000 Well, wonder no more. If you follow these easy tips, you'll be fine. First, obey the law. Laws
00:19:00.060 were made for a reason. Think of them as hints. You've heard people say, man, I wouldn't do that
00:19:05.320 if I was you. Well, here's some of that carjacking, armed robbery, arson, selling drugs, buying drugs,
00:19:13.340 stabbing, shooting. You know, you probably won't get your ass kicked if you just use common sense.
00:19:19.640 If you jump a subway turnstile, you might just get off with a warning from the police.
00:19:25.980 But if you jump a turnstile carrying a loaded gun and smoking a joint, then maybe you need
00:19:31.700 your ass kicked. We all know what happened to Rodney King, but Rodney wouldn't have got his
00:19:40.540 ass kicked if he had just followed this simple tip. When you see flashing police lights in
00:19:46.740 your mirror, stop immediately. Everybody knows if the police have to come and get you,
00:19:54.680 they're bringing an ass kicking with you.
00:19:58.200 Good advice then. Good advice now. So it's sad. It's sad when people die, but that's what's going
00:20:07.360 to happen. Now you could ask this question. Should the cop have tased Dante Wright instead? I'm not so
00:20:14.560 sure, by the way. Tasers don't work that well. They can be, if you don't want to carry lethal force
00:20:22.700 and you don't want to have a gun, or maybe you're not really trained in firearms, so you don't want to
00:20:28.600 be carrying a gun all the time and maybe it could be taken away from you. Okay, then taser is a good
00:20:33.820 option. But tasers sometimes don't work. You shoot a taser, you got to hit someone in the right spot.
00:20:42.100 You got to make sure it catches on to them. Then it can work very well, but it might not work. You
00:20:45.760 only get one shot. So if that shot's done, then you're in quite a bit of trouble. But maybe,
00:20:53.520 I mean, she intended to shoot him with the taser. Then the question becomes, should you be convicted
00:20:59.000 of a crime and sent to prison over a mistake? She didn't mean to shoot him with the gun.
00:21:06.340 And should you do that after you've served a long time as a cop, when you used more force than you
00:21:13.640 intended to use on a violent career criminal resisting arrest, but maybe not more force than
00:21:21.360 you could have been permitted to use. And I think not. I hope she gets off. Maybe she shouldn't
00:21:26.900 be a cop anymore. Maybe she should receive some kind of professional punishment. Maybe she should
00:21:34.660 be assigned to desk duty or kicked off the force. Maybe. But to send her to prison, that's insane to
00:21:40.100 me. That's insane to me. And it, I think, has much more to do with our idolatry of violent criminals
00:21:47.680 and our embrace of insane racial narratives in America than it does with what this woman actually
00:21:54.480 did. Of course, while we want to follow just authority, and it's good, good advice to, to do
00:22:01.940 that when you get pulled over by a cop, you know, don't, don't act out, just kind of be polite and go
00:22:06.040 along with it and you'll probably be just fine. You don't want to follow unjust authority. There is a
00:22:11.520 viral video. It's, I guess it's a comedy video. Not sure. Not, you know, it's not exactly danger
00:22:18.420 field, but, but it's, it's, I guess it's supposed to be comedy about how we should just do whatever
00:22:27.000 Fauci tells us to do. I've just had my third shot, a booster, they call it. How many more are they
00:22:36.780 going to make us get? Don't know. Don't care. Because I, like you probably, understand there is
00:22:43.720 a global pandemic and people much, much smarter than you and me have decided this is the best plan
00:22:49.340 of action to avoid lots more people dying or cluttering up hospital hallways. You and I,
00:22:55.780 we're doing our part by getting one more little prick and not being one.
00:23:03.760 And not being one. So just do whatever Fauci says, even though Fauci has contradicted himself
00:23:09.160 at least half a dozen times during this epidemic, just do whatever he says at this moment. Do that
00:23:14.920 because these are people who are much smarter than you and me. Listen, buddy, I'm not disputing
00:23:22.420 the fact that these people are much smarter than you, but just because they're smarter than you does
00:23:28.400 not mean they're smarter than me. And it doesn't mean that they're smarter than the rest of us.
00:23:33.480 I don't think that our ruling class is smarter than a lot of Americans. I don't think that Dr.
00:23:42.480 Fauci is smarter. He's certainly not wiser than the great many Americans who oppose him. I don't think
00:23:50.280 whatever little he knows about some scientific field, he doesn't seem to know Jack Diddley about
00:23:56.460 philosophy, morality, political philosophy, our system of government, or much of anything else
00:24:06.080 for that matter. And these questions really should weigh into our decision on how we react to his
00:24:13.640 edicts. I am now of the opinion that any Republican who does not promise to prosecute Anthony Fauci
00:24:24.760 should not be taken seriously in 2024. This is not hyperbole. This is not just some emotional
00:24:33.000 outburst because I don't like Fauci or we're angry that Fauci is making us do certain things.
00:24:39.400 I think it's pretty clear that he's committed at least one crime. He perjured himself. He perjured
00:24:46.620 himself before a committee of the United States Senate over a very important question, which is his
00:24:54.580 role in the pandemic, his role in starting the pandemic potentially by funding risky research,
00:25:02.540 the same sort of research that almost certainly created the virus that escaped from the Wuhan
00:25:08.140 laboratory. Again, you have to say almost certainly or almost definitely or because there's, we don't
00:25:13.980 really know because there are coverups going on in China, there are coverups going on at the World
00:25:17.460 Health Organization. There are coverups going on in the United States. So we don't, we don't have a
00:25:21.420 hundred percent certainty, but all the evidence we've got suggests that the virus did not just
00:25:25.920 come from some wet market. It came from the Wuhan laboratory. The United, they came from research
00:25:30.560 called gain of function research that takes natural viruses and beefs them up and makes them more
00:25:34.960 virulent and makes them more transmissible. That kind of research, despite Fauci lying in front of the
00:25:39.720 Senate, that research was funded by Fauci and the NIH. And look at the results. Everyone knew that
00:25:46.680 this was dangerous research. Fauci admitted it was dangerous and he said, yeah, whatever. I think
00:25:50.060 it's worth the risk. And now look where we are. So he should be prosecuted at the very least
00:25:54.620 for perjury. We have to look at the timeline on when this funding went through because the funding
00:26:01.560 was illegal for at least some period of time. That would be another potential crime. And as a
00:26:07.820 political matter, this man has too much power and he is almost single-handedly upending our system
00:26:13.460 of government and screwing up our way of life and taking away our rights. And he really, when I say
00:26:18.240 he needs to be banished to St. Helena, I'm only being 3% humorous. Okay. In Athenian democracy,
00:26:28.840 back in ancient Athens, you know, this model of democracy, banishment was a real punishment.
00:26:36.020 When you had a once popular leader, powerful leader who the people didn't like anymore,
00:26:44.200 they would banish him for 10 years to an island. And frankly, it's not the worst idea. When Napoleon
00:26:50.060 was done ravaging Europe, what did they do? They banished him to an island. Not a bad idea. Lots
00:26:56.500 of similarities between Anthony Fauci and Napoleon. Now, yes, it's true who whichever Republican it is
00:27:05.620 might squish out in the end. You remember we heard, lock her up, lock her up. You know,
00:27:08.980 well, if I'm elected, you'd be in jail, that sort of thing. And then what happens? No one really goes
00:27:12.660 after Hillary. Fine. That's true. But I'd at least like to get these candidates on the record. It's a
00:27:18.340 matter of justice and it's a matter of existential political necessity. There's one potential 2024
00:27:24.620 candidate who has already asked the DOJ to launch a criminal investigation into Anthony Fauci.
00:27:31.980 That man would be my co-host on the verdict podcast, Senator Ted Cruz. So he, I guess he's already
00:27:38.440 on the record. He hasn't, he hasn't come out and said he's running for president in 2024
00:27:42.820 privately, you know, to me or anyone else or publicly. But he has, as a U.S. Senator,
00:27:49.680 already asked for this criminal investigation. Unfortunately, the executive branch is the
00:27:55.640 branch that prosecutes. So Merrick Garland, Joe Biden's attorney general is just not going to do it.
00:28:00.740 But a Republican attorney general could. And Ted Cruz might be running for president in 2024. There
00:28:07.200 was a young interviewer. This kid is a teenager from the Truth Gazette and he's gotten some pretty
00:28:11.700 big names to, to interview. So one of them is Ted Cruz and the kid asked him, hey, are you running
00:28:19.220 for president in 2024? And I think basically for the first time, Cruz said, very possibly.
00:28:23.980 We have another election coming up in 2024. So aside from the terms, what are your thoughts on
00:28:30.240 the field of potential candidates going into 2024? And would you ever consider another run for
00:28:34.460 president? Absolutely. In a heartbeat, you know, I ran in 2016. It was the most fun I've ever had in
00:28:42.400 my life. We had a very crowded field. We had 17 candidates in the race, very strong field.
00:28:47.200 And I ended up placing second. And, you know, there's a reason historically that the runner-up
00:28:54.540 is almost always the next nominee. And that's been true going back to Nixon or Reagan or McCain or
00:29:02.280 Romney that has played out repeatedly. You come in with just an enormous base of support. You know,
00:29:08.800 in 2016, we raised over $92 million. That was the most money any Republican has ever raised in the
00:29:15.860 history of presidential primaries. So this is a good point. And it's one that had not occurred to
00:29:24.400 me for a while, but the runner-up does tend to be the next nominee. So this puts Cruz in a pretty
00:29:31.260 good position for 2024. Now, the complicating factor is Trump. Because Trump only got one term and he has
00:29:39.000 indicated his interest in running again. Although it's not clear if he really wants to run again or if
00:29:44.220 he just wants to be a kingmaker or if they would even let him win, if the establishment, the ruling
00:29:50.100 class would let him win, if he did run. But it seems to me right now, the big contenders are Trump.
00:29:57.740 Trump is the big guy in the field. He's polling way higher than anybody else. Ron DeSantis,
00:30:05.760 he's sort of the hot Republican right now. There's always a hot Republican.
00:30:10.060 He, one hopes he didn't peak too soon. He did kind of, he's been, he's been peaking for a while.
00:30:16.900 I mean, he's, he's really maintained a lot of support. Done a great job on COVID. And Cruz,
00:30:23.000 Cruz, you know, what DeSantis is doing a great job as a governor. Cruz is doing a great job as a
00:30:26.820 senator. And then Trump is running, Trump is doing a great job as a former president and potential
00:30:32.680 future president. So that, that kind of covers it. Those are the three lanes, you know,
00:30:36.520 the president lane, the governor lane, and the, and the Senate lane. Um, it's hard to see another
00:30:44.280 candidate really breaking through that right now. So people are going to have to pick their teams.
00:30:49.980 Although I, the thing is, if Trump runs, it's very possible he would clear the field,
00:30:54.680 but he, he may not run. And Trump, I think does have a slight political, uh, complication right now,
00:31:02.100 uh, which we'll get to in just one second. First though, this week we released an exclusive
00:31:08.180 face-to-face interview between Candace and Trump. Welcome to a most special episode of Candace.
00:31:15.880 Each time that I've interviewed president Trump, they have never told me that I am not allowed to
00:31:20.120 ask him anything. And today I want to talk about some topics that are on, I think everybody's mind.
00:31:24.460 Where do you stand on these vaccine mandates and what's going on there? You talk about masks,
00:31:32.100 you talk about mandates, Julian Assange, Edward Snowden. I mean, you could have had a chance to
00:31:35.960 pardon these individuals. You have two sides of it. Anything that looking back, you think I got
00:31:40.540 that one wrong. Did you get COVID? Uh, no. Did you have the vaccine? No. No kidding. I'm very
00:31:46.140 impressed with you. I don't know. Alec Baldwin, is he going to get arrested? I think he's crazy.
00:31:50.020 This is the toughest question I could possibly ask you. Tell me one good thing Joe Biden has
00:31:54.840 done in office. She's done this before. He is completely unscripted. It's one of the things
00:31:59.560 that fascinates me about him. What you see is exactly what you get. All right, Mr. President.
00:32:08.140 And it's pretty great. The interview is streaming exclusively to members at dailywire.com. So head

00:32:28.820 His good friend Jordan Peterson is the first guest to join him. It's great. You can just be a fly on
00:32:33.900 the wall on their conversation when they're in a coffee shop. Head on over to dailywire.com slash
00:32:39.040 subscribe. We'll be right back with the mailbag.
00:32:47.620 Before we get to the mailbag, just to wrap up this last point, Trump has put himself in a tough
00:32:58.780 position because he is defending the vaccines as one of the greatest achievements of his or any
00:33:06.680 administration in history. But a lot of his base doesn't really like the vaccines or they think the
00:33:12.920 vaccines are being used as a political tool. So Trump is saying, I don't support mandates,
00:33:16.240 but the vaccines are really, really great. And we did a great job on it. That it's a tough issue
00:33:20.780 for him. I don't, I don't think it was exactly a mistake for, you know, I think he was just kind
00:33:25.840 of backed into this corner on COVID, but it is a complicating fact. It's probably the weakest
00:33:29.700 area right now for him politically looking into 2024. So he's going to, that might give an opening
00:33:35.500 to someone like a DeSantis or someone like a Cruz or someone else who's running, but he's going to
00:33:40.340 have to have an answer to that before, uh, before 2024 rolls around. All right, let's get to the
00:33:44.920 mailbag from Sarah. Michael, this is not a very serious question for your illustrious mailbag.
00:33:49.880 However, this is a rather heated debate in the religious community. What do you think about
00:33:55.140 telling your kids about Santa Claus? On the one hand, it's a joyful practice with a moral or original
00:34:01.740 story. Uh, on the other hand, it's lying to your kids about a fat man sneaking into their home and
00:34:08.620 giving them gifts rather than their family. What will you be telling your kid about Santa? Thanks.
00:34:12.880 Yeah. I like Santa. I'm pro Santa. So it's based in reality, right? There is such a man as St.
00:34:18.560 Nicholas. St. Nicholas actually did give little monies and coins and things like that to kids and
00:34:26.020 to poor people. Uh, and he was, he's a great saint of the church, a Bishop of Bari. So it was based in
00:34:33.380 reality and I like it. It's kind of fun. I like the idea of the tooth fairy, like the Easter bunny.
00:34:38.460 It's good. It's fun for kids to have these imaginative things. The only fear would be that
00:34:43.120 the kids, when they find out that Santa Claus is made up, that they would think that, uh,
00:34:48.380 Jesus is made up too. You know, or some, or St. Nicholas for that matter, you know, uh, real people
00:34:54.520 with a real, you know, direct relation to the faith that they would begin to doubt their faith
00:35:01.740 generally. But I, I just don't, I'm not too worried about that. I think if you're well catechized and you
00:35:05.980 have a good, good, uh, foundation that you'll be just fine and it's nice for kids to have fun,
00:35:12.280 silly, pretend things to enjoy. From Liam, dear connoisseur of coffefe, I've written into the
00:35:19.040 mailbag before with political philosophical questions, but now I seek your famed relationship
00:35:23.720 advice. I met a girl on a dating app. She's from a foreign country and we both have conflicting work
00:35:28.360 schedules. So it's been hard to communicate with each other. However, from how well I've been able to
00:35:33.840 get to know her well enough, at least to be sure I'm not being catfished. I really like her. We're
00:35:38.620 both unwilling to take the Fauci ouchie and because of Brandon's travel restrictions on the unclean,
00:35:43.020 it would be difficult for us to meet in person. My heart tells me to go get the girl while my brain
00:35:48.400 says it's impossible. And that even if it were possible, it wouldn't be worth the difficulty
00:35:52.620 being that I don't even know her that well. What is your advice? My advice is that you don't know the
00:35:59.700 girl, really at all. You've exchanged messages. She's, and apparently not even all that frequently
00:36:07.840 or regularly because your schedules are completely opposite and you just met on a dating app and she's
00:36:12.440 on the other side of the world. And often people mistake infatuation with love.
00:36:23.400 Infatuation is similar. It produces similar feelings, but it's not grounded in reality.
00:36:33.180 It may well be the case because you, as you say, you don't know this girl very well,
00:36:38.680 that you are in love with a fictional image that you have made of this girl. Really,
00:36:46.960 you're just in love with your own desires that you are projecting onto this girl
00:36:50.760 rather than the girl herself. And this can be intoxicating because, because she's the woman of
00:36:59.720 your dreams because she literally is the woman of your dreams. She is a figment of your imagination.
00:37:05.500 The only caveat, it may well be that she's a great girl. It may well be that she really is the love
00:37:12.940 of your life. I don't know. I guess keep talking to her. I guess do FaceTime or whatever, you know,
00:37:19.480 spend time in whatever way that you can and try to see if you develop a real relationship.
00:37:26.980 Stranger things have happened. But if you're having this kind of intensity of feeling after
00:37:32.560 just a handful of messages on a dating app irregularly, you know, when maybe you're not
00:37:37.200 even sending them or receiving them at the same time, that's much more likely to be infatuation
00:37:41.440 than it is to be love. From Andrew.
00:37:43.580 Hey Michael, you mentioned the other day how the 4th of July is a secular holiday.
00:37:48.800 George Washington conveyed in his inauguration speech that all this winning this country was
00:37:53.540 from God. So I was thinking that as a religious person, if we embrace the 4th of July, the
00:37:58.880 celebration of our founding to be something from God, couldn't that mean that the 4th of
00:38:03.200 July for religious people and a day, not sure, the grammar is a little off here, and a day
00:38:09.940 to celebrate getting this country from God and for the seculars not. Curious your thoughts
00:38:14.460 on this. Thanks. Love your show and all that you do. Yes, well, all of our holidays really
00:38:19.660 should reflect gratitude toward God. And the founding fathers understood this. And we have
00:38:26.340 forgotten it because we've created this silly notion that we're a completely secular country
00:38:30.660 and we have a separation of church and state. And that's just bogus. And it's anti-historical
00:38:35.520 and it's incoherent because God does exist. And so given that God exists, that's what all
00:38:42.080 of our forefathers, the great statesmen who built our country, going back not just to the
00:38:46.940 founding era, but to the Mayflower, they all knew that. And we've somehow forgotten it
00:38:51.460 largely. But if it is the case, as it is, that God exists, then setting up your country
00:38:56.520 in opposition to God is probably not a smart idea. That said, certain holidays are a little
00:39:03.920 less religious than others. Arbor Day is not particular. It's religious in the sense that
00:39:13.340 God makes trees, but it's not quite so religious. Veterans Day, not quite so, but it's still
00:39:20.960 religious, right? When you're going out there, you're defending your country or we're giving
00:39:25.640 gratitude to the people who've gone out and defended our country. Why? Why would they even
00:39:29.460 do that? Because there is this transcendent moral order and there's right and wrong. And
00:39:33.220 so, yeah, and that relates to God too. I would take your letter as a really good lesson, good
00:39:42.380 piece of advice, which is that recognize that everything, everything in your life, everything
00:39:48.080 that you do and everything that we do as a nation has some connection to God because God
00:39:55.600 is the creator and sustainer of the universe, right? And he made you. And so that might affect
00:40:03.980 the way that you live your life. And it should affect the way that you live your life. And it
00:40:07.340 should affect the way that we run our nation. From Nick. Hey, Michael, me again. Here we go.
00:40:13.400 Nick, Nick, Nick. It's been a while. I don't even know who, I don't even know how many Nicks there
00:40:19.720 are at this point. I sort of get, I get this feeling that multiple people are writing it
00:40:24.300 as Nick. Nick, it's me. Whatever. Okay. Hi, Michael. Me again. I'm dating a Jew. Okay.
00:40:30.160 I've put up walls around my heart recently, so I don't really identify as dating, but she's
00:40:34.880 definitely picking up what I'm putting down. Anyway, I throw an awesome Christmas party every
00:40:39.740 year and she is super Jewish. So much so her family has banned her from coming. Even so, she's
00:40:45.800 planning on sneaking over and defying her family. This could have huge repercussions for her if
00:40:50.100 she's caught. Now, I've never been that kind of homewrecker, so what should I do? Should I tell
00:40:55.960 her to honor her family's demand or tell her to start pre-gaming at 11 a.m.? Sincerely, your brother
00:41:02.760 from another mother. How old is this girl, Nick? If she's got to sneak out of her parents, you
00:41:11.200 know, you shouldn't be dating high school, high school students. Hopefully, she's a little
00:41:15.720 older and just happens to be living with her family. This is actually a good question.
00:41:21.480 You're Christian potential. I don't know. I'm not sure what Nick's religious views are, but
00:41:26.820 you're celebrating Christmas. Let's say you're Christian. The girl's Jewish and you want to get
00:41:30.340 together. That's good. I'm not saying that you guys are going to get married yet. Doesn't sound
00:41:38.100 like you're ready exactly to settle down, but you will need to resolve this issue. And I think it's
00:41:43.720 great. I think that if you convert her to Christianity, really the Holy Spirit will convert
00:41:47.940 her to Christianity, but you might play some role in it. If you do that, then that would be a good
00:41:52.220 thing. And you could have a nice family, but the family really does need to have at least similar
00:42:02.320 religious views and really should be the same religion. Faith is a very powerful thing. Even
00:42:09.060 if you don't believe it to be a powerful thing right now, even if you're one of the people who
00:42:13.160 thinks, oh, come on, I'm agnostic. I'm not an atheist, but I'm sort of, I'm spiritual, but not
00:42:17.920 religious. Oh, I don't care about all these distinctions between religions and denominations.
00:42:23.220 And you know, it's like, whatever, man, come on, who cares? You do. It does matter because faith
00:42:29.600 shapes everything about our lives. It shapes the way we see the world, whether we will admit it or
00:42:35.880 not. Shapes the way we view society. Shapes the way we view child rearing. Shapes the way we view
00:42:43.580 marriage. I would recommend before you get married to this girl that you've just met, so it might be
00:42:54.200 a while. I would recommend that you sort out at least the basic aspects of this question.
00:43:01.920 But I wouldn't feel bad about, you know, bringing this girl over, away from the religion of her
00:43:08.400 parents. That's the way it happens. Oh, Christ says that. He says, I have come to divide, you know,
00:43:14.120 divide families. I have come not to bring peace, but a sword, you know. And so that happens. And you
00:43:21.420 can't, I don't think that it's very effective for a parent to just say, if you leave my religion,
00:43:29.140 I'm going to be really angry with you. I don't think that's necessarily the most effective
00:43:34.060 way to keep someone in a faith. From Ben, dear Michael Knowles, which version of the Bible do
00:43:40.520 you prefer? I've heard good things about the New American Bible and bad things about the King James
00:43:45.120 version and was wondering which version provides the best reading of the Bible. The King James version
00:43:50.120 is one of the most beautiful works of English ever composed. So I don't know where you heard
00:43:57.100 that. King James version is great. I tend to favor the revised standard version Catholic edition. So
00:44:04.900 you got to remember, there's the Protestant Bible took out a bunch of books, so you won't get as many
00:44:09.760 books in the Protestant Bible. But I would recommend a Catholic version. The Douay Reims I would really
00:44:16.400 recommend is great. But in terms of just going to spot check different verses and things, I usually
00:44:21.980 use the RSVCE. From John, since we will not be hearing from you until 2022, what are a few of your
00:44:30.620 resolutions for the new year? Thanks. One of them is to engage in just a very small amount of exercise
00:44:40.600 regularly. I don't want to go become Arnold Schwarzenegger. I don't want to ever go on a run.
00:44:48.680 That does not interest me in the least. I don't want to put on latex, whatever like suits to go on
00:44:56.840 long bike rides or on a run or that's uh-uh. Ain't me. Ain't me, dog. But I do have this wonderful
00:45:03.220 echelon exercise bike, stationary bike in my home. I want to do that mostly because I, uh, you know,
00:45:11.980 I'd like to prolong my life a little bit. You know, I'll be around, see my grandkids, that kind
00:45:16.720 of thing. Not saying I got to live forever, but I'd like to, I wouldn't want to live prematurely
00:45:21.100 necessarily. And so, uh, so I think that would be a good thing to do. Very modest. I'm keeping very
00:45:25.400 modest goals for my resolution so that I am more likely to keep them. From Mike. Dear Michael, would
00:45:33.760 love to hear your thoughts on deciphering between intelligence and being well-read or educated. I'd
00:45:39.360 say that these things can often go hand in hand, but also believe that just because you can recite
00:45:44.300 a passage from Shakespeare, it doesn't necessarily mean that you're intelligent. How do you define
00:45:48.320 intelligence and who is the most intelligent person that you've come into contact with? Love the show.
00:45:53.420 Sincerely. How about Dem Apples? Well, it's funny because the way you're saying it right now
00:46:00.200 is you're saying that, uh, just because you're extremely well-read and knowledgeable doesn't mean
00:46:05.300 you're intelligent. So as if it's better to have a high IQ than to know things. But I kind of think
00:46:11.120 it's the opposite. Uh, you asked the most intelligent person I ever met. I don't know. There are a handful
00:46:17.440 of people. My, uh, college roommate is certainly up there. Uh, there are a lot of people. Jeremy
00:46:23.100 Oh my gosh, Jeremy Boring's IQ is probably through the roof. I mean, a lot of people here at the
00:46:26.660 Daily Wire, I'm thinking, you know, all my colleagues are, uh, you know, have, have high
00:46:30.720 IQs, but the best red person I ever met probably doesn't have as high an IQ. And I'm not going to
00:46:36.320 say his name on air because I don't want to destroy his career, but he's in academia. He's in very
00:46:42.560 prestigious positions in academia and he's just read everything. So maybe his IQ is a little bit
00:46:48.920 lower than some other people I've met, but he, he just knows so much more. And so I just think,
00:46:55.240 yeah, even if you didn't place in the top percentile on an IQ test, who cares? Don't,
00:46:59.960 don't let that kind of silly determinism discourage you. Just read a bunch of books and think about
00:47:05.060 them and, you know, cultivate your spirit and your knowledge and, and your, the life of the mind.
00:47:10.640 And you can, you can be a lot wiser than people who have a much higher IQ. All right. That's the
00:47:17.600 show. Merry Christmas, everybody. Wonderful and happy new year. I guess I won't see you until the
00:47:23.720 new year. A wonderful year. Thank you so much. You've, you've made my year such a delight.
00:47:27.720 It's a great, great pleasure and honor to be with you all the time. See you in 2022.
00:47:31.640 We'll see you in 2022.
00:48:01.640 Today on the Ben Shapiro show, Joe Biden hints his health might stop him from running for president
00:48:28.020 again. The facts are out on Omicron. They cut against panic and,
00:48:31.640 a democratic Congresswoman is mugged by reality. That's today on the Ben Shapiro show. Give it a
00:48:35.780 listen.
