00:00:00.000 Did you know that over 85% of grass-fed beef sold in U.S. grocery stores is imported?
00:00:05.240 That's why I buy all my meat from GoodRanchers.com instead.

00:00:20.360 That's meat.

00:00:35.700 Good Ranchers, American meat delivered.
00:00:37.720 Gas today is 52% more expensive than it was at this same time last year.
00:00:44.100 The price of eggs is up at least 23%.
00:00:47.740 The cost of milk is up 38% in just one year.
00:00:52.800 And I would bet that your income has not gone up 23% or 38% or 52%.
00:01:00.440 Actually, there's a good chance you lost your job after politicians shut your country down
00:01:06.240 for two years of two weeks to slow the spread of a virus that almost certainly does not pose
00:01:11.700 any serious threat to you.
00:01:13.640 The inflation rate overall is 7.9%, the highest it's been in 40 years.
00:01:19.360 And if you're concerned about how you're going to make ends meet, well, you're just a big
00:01:24.660 stupid ingrate, according to Joe Biden.
00:01:27.500 Never forget what we've accomplished together so far.
00:01:31.540 And by the way, the American people just trying to stay above water don't understand this.
00:01:36.280 You tell them what the American Recovery Act was, they look at you like, what are you talking
00:01:39.620 about?
00:01:40.500 They don't understand it.
00:01:42.100 That's true.
00:01:42.960 They don't understand it because it doesn't make any sense.
00:01:46.440 They don't understand it because if Biden's economic policies were working, Americans
00:01:51.820 wouldn't be struggling to stay above water in the first place.
00:01:55.420 They don't understand it because if Biden had any sense left in that dusty old noggin, he
00:02:01.440 wouldn't be admitting how bad things have gotten on his watch.
00:02:05.460 But he doesn't know what he's saying.
00:02:07.640 He doesn't know what he's doing.
00:02:09.460 He certainly doesn't know how to fix it.
00:02:11.480 And at least in theory, he's got three years left to make everything even worse.
00:02:17.020 I'm Michael Knowles, and this is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:02:26.200 Welcome back to the show.
00:02:27.320 My favorite comment Friday is from Marcus W., who says, it's a hard stint in prison when
00:02:32.380 you're sharing a cell with your attacker while in solitary confinement.
00:02:36.000 That is really tough for Jussie Smollett.
00:02:39.020 You know, it does seem cruel.
00:02:40.260 I want the man brought to justice, but it does seem cruel to make him share a cell with
00:02:45.840 his attacker.
00:02:47.380 That's a problem.
00:02:48.380 He should have planned ahead, okay?
00:02:50.040 He really should have invested in himself and not tried to create all of these ridiculous
00:02:56.560 distractions.
00:02:58.040 You know, and when you want to bank on yourself, I would recommend you check out Bank on Yourself.
00:03:03.260 Right now, you've got to go to bankonyourself.com slash Knowles.
00:03:06.940 Do you really control your retirement money?
00:03:09.460 If you've got a 401k or IRA or similar retirement plan, the government controls it.
00:03:15.520 They decide how much you can borrow and when you must pay it back, and you'll owe taxes
00:03:19.980 and penalties for taking money out too soon or waiting too long, even though it's your
00:03:24.500 money.
00:03:25.400 And thanks to our skyrocketing national debt, who knows how much you'll have to pay in
00:03:29.220 taxes during a retirement that could last 30 years.
00:03:32.100 Bank on Yourself is a better way to grow and protect your hard-earned money.
00:03:35.500 Bank guaranteed predictable growth and retirement income with no luck, skill, or guesswork required.
00:03:42.060 In fact, Bank on Yourself has a 160-year-plus track record of positive growth.
00:03:47.440 Tax-free retirement income.
00:03:49.220 You'll know what your tax rate will be in retirement zero under current tax law, which protects you
00:03:54.780 from the coming tax tsunami.
00:03:57.040 You are in control.
00:03:58.780 You have control of your money without government penalties or restrictions on how much income
00:04:03.140 you can take or when you can take it.
00:04:05.100 You can get a free report right now with all the details on how adding Bank on Yourself
00:04:09.040 to your financial plan can help you take back control of your money.
00:04:12.020 Go to bankonyourself.com slash Knowles.
00:04:14.240 That's bankonyourself.com slash Knowles, K-N-N-W-L-E-S.
00:04:17.800 This information is for educational purposes only and is not a solicitation for the purchase
00:04:20.880 of any financial product.
00:04:21.880 All guarantees are based on the claims paying ability of the insurer.
00:04:25.280 I was thinking over the weekend about Joe Biden's conundrum, okay?
00:04:31.340 Because he's wrong.
00:04:32.920 Ideologically, he's wrong.
00:04:34.820 He's wrong on the kinds of people he's made investments in, his staff members, the politicians
00:04:42.260 who are supporting him, the people he's investing in overseas, trying to suck up to Iran, irritating
00:04:49.300 our enemies, irritating our allies, rather, sucking up to our enemies.
00:04:54.500 He's made a lot of ideological problems.
00:04:58.480 So has Kamala.
00:04:59.420 So have others.
00:05:00.860 But there's also the issue of basic competence.
00:05:04.900 In these jobs, when you're running a lemonade stand, much less when you're running a country,
00:05:11.720 you need to have a basic level of competence.
00:05:13.940 You need to know the really basic things about how your economy operates, about how you create
00:05:22.820 incentives and disincentives for certain behaviors, about how to deal with certain actors on a
00:05:28.120 global stage.
00:05:28.660 If you don't have that basic level of competence, things are going to get really bad.
00:05:32.700 And right now, Kamala Harris has been sent on the Lost Cause tour.
00:05:37.080 Biden always sends Kamala Harris to deal with issues that have no solution that he's totally
00:05:41.620 given up on.
00:05:42.340 Most famously, he did it at the southern border.
00:05:44.820 Now the fact that he's sending her to Eastern Europe to deal with this Ukraine issue is really
00:05:48.600 bad news for the Ukrainians, because it means he has absolutely no faith that Ukraine is going
00:05:53.080 to remain a country.
00:05:54.800 He clearly is 100% betting that Russia has already conquered Ukraine.
00:05:59.620 So he sends Kamala over there.
00:06:01.960 Kamala is asked a question about domestic issues, gas prices, inflation.
00:06:07.720 How much longer do we understand that war is having something to do with this?
00:06:12.560 But Kamala, how much longer are we going to have to deal with this?
00:06:17.080 She shrugs her shoulders.
00:06:18.880 President Biden has said that Americans will feel some pain for the sake of defending freedom
00:06:23.400 and liberty.
00:06:23.960 But there does seem to be no endgame in sight.
00:06:28.300 How long should Americans expect?
00:06:30.320 How long should we be bracing for this really sort of historic inflation and some unprecedented
00:06:38.020 gas prices?
00:06:38.960 In terms of the discussions that the president, Johannes and I had, they ranged in subject,
00:06:55.100 including the issue of the Black Sea.
00:06:57.120 And I'll let him explain in more detail as he would like.
00:07:00.220 But we are, again, fully aware and apprised because we are in constant communication with
00:07:09.620 the president, with his administration here, about the concerns that they have about the
00:07:14.860 entire region and, frankly, the vulnerability.
00:07:18.000 All you have to do is look at the map.
00:07:20.300 What?
00:07:21.020 What?
00:07:21.900 The question was about gas prices.
00:07:24.260 And she, the reporter asks her the question about gas prices, and there's just dead silence.
00:07:30.800 She says, uh, and then she looks to the president of Romania as if he's going to answer the question
00:07:37.220 about American domestic gas prices for her.
00:07:39.720 Uh, oh, okay, I'll take this one.
00:07:43.240 Okay, you, okay, president of Romania, you don't need to take the question that was directly
00:07:47.740 asked of me about American domestic politics.
00:07:49.940 Uh, we're here and we're doing things with Romania and we're, and you've got not, it's
00:07:56.840 so pathetic.
00:07:58.680 Even if you don't have an answer, because there is no answer, because the answer is that the
00:08:02.480 Biden administration needs to completely reverse all of its energy policies.
00:08:05.620 But even if you don't have the answer, be prepared for the question.
00:08:09.120 This is really basic issues of competence.
00:08:13.200 This is like read a memo kind of basic preparation to do your very, very important job.
00:08:21.260 This, this wasn't even the most egregious example of this overseas.
00:08:24.820 Kamala Harris is now addressing the crisis in Ukraine, what this means as Russia is expanding,
00:08:33.100 what it means for Europe, the NATO alliance.
00:08:36.320 Don't forget the central issue in this Ukraine war is will Ukraine join NATO?
00:08:42.140 Will Ukraine join the European Union?
00:08:44.780 Ukraine right now is ostensibly a neutral country.
00:08:49.220 It has cozied up to Russia in the past.
00:08:51.900 And then ever since the government was ousted in 2014, it's cozied up much more to the West.
00:08:57.180 It presumably wants to join NATO.
00:09:00.500 NATO has not accepted it yet.
00:09:02.300 And here's Kamala Harris giving her genius expert Metternichian view of the geopolitical situation.
00:09:08.920 So I will say what I know we all say, and I will say over and over again.
00:09:15.500 The United States stands firmly with the Ukrainian people in defense of the NATO alliance.
00:09:22.680 The United States stands with the Ukrainian people in defense of the NATO alliance.
00:09:27.140 The Ukrainian people are not in the NATO alliance.
00:09:29.840 That's, that's the whole issue.
00:09:32.620 That's the whole problem.
00:09:33.860 If you don't know that Ukraine is not in NATO, then you don't know anything about the war in Ukraine.
00:09:40.520 And this is not just some offhand comment.
00:09:43.260 Kamala Harris was doing a town hall in Idaho, and she gets asked a question that she doesn't know about.
00:09:48.220 This is Kamala Harris being sent to Eastern Europe specifically to address the war in Ukraine.
00:09:54.080 She doesn't know the most basic fact about the war in Ukraine.
00:09:58.120 She, they just don't know things, you know, you know, the thing to quote Joe Biden.
00:10:04.060 They don't, they don't know the thing.
00:10:07.100 So is it any wonder that nothing is going their way?
00:10:11.720 I, I am all for the high level, sophisticated ideological debates, the, the questions of grand strategy of what is going to advance America's interests.
00:10:22.080 I'm all for that, but you need to know really basic stuff before you can answer those questions.
00:10:27.640 It's like saying we're going to have very sophisticated conversations about calculus, but we don't know that two plus two equals four.
00:10:34.680 You need to, this is the consequence of an education system that says you don't need to know facts.
00:10:40.360 You just need to know broad themes.
00:10:42.860 We're not going to teach you what to think.
00:10:44.720 We're just going to teach you how to think.
00:10:46.760 Well, you know, let's teach some basic facts.
00:10:48.900 Okay.
00:10:49.140 Where is Bucharest?
00:10:51.360 Where is Kiev?
00:10:53.480 What two plus two equals what?
00:10:55.540 You need to, you need to know these basic things before you can go there.
00:10:58.860 And it's as though we've got a government that is play acting their version of the West wing.
00:11:07.320 This is not a government that is actually dealing with geopolitical realities.
00:11:12.460 This is a government that was raised watching the West wing, and then they go into office, and then they just talk like they heard Aaron Sorkin write on the West wing, and they think that that is going to bring peace to the world.
00:11:24.280 It's not.
00:11:24.940 It's bringing on World War III.
00:11:26.740 Before, there should be a rule.
00:11:27.960 Before you get elected president or vice president, you need to know what countries are in NATO.
00:11:35.260 Okay.
00:11:36.180 You need to know what makes gas prices go up and down.
00:11:40.560 You need, there should be a basic test here.
00:11:43.220 We didn't used to need this.
00:11:44.640 Okay.
00:11:44.940 There used to be a much better level of competence in our government.
00:11:48.360 That is gone.
00:11:50.660 Okay.
00:11:51.200 And there, there are, there are unintended consequences of this kind of stuff.
00:11:56.280 All right.
00:11:56.580 Because right now, the, the, the West's strategy on Putin and Ukraine is we're going to cancel Russia.
00:12:04.460 We're just going to cancel Russia.
00:12:06.260 We're not going to send any soldiers in where that would be, we're not going to establish a no-fly zone.
00:12:11.060 That would be too provocative.
00:12:13.200 We don't want to provoke Vladimir Putin.
00:12:15.260 He's a nuclear former superpower.
00:12:16.740 We don't want to do that.
00:12:17.780 So instead, we're going to completely destroy their economy.
00:12:21.240 We're going to sanction their central bank.
00:12:23.560 This is an unprecedented war tactic.
00:12:25.780 We're going to get every company on planet earth to stop doing with business with Russia.
00:12:30.500 And that's going to make us feel really good.
00:12:32.760 And we're not going to send soldiers into harm's way.
00:12:35.040 So we're going to feel really good about that too.
00:12:36.700 And we're not going to go directly to war.
00:12:39.260 So we're going to feel really good about that too.
00:12:41.120 We're just going to turn Russia into a rogue state, completely destroy their society,
00:12:45.720 and then hope that everything turns out for the best.
00:12:48.180 What then?
00:12:49.020 What then?
00:12:49.860 What do we expect is going to happen next?
00:12:52.860 Probably nothing because no one running our country is thinking even more than two weeks into the future.
00:12:58.940 Now, when you want to think into the future, specifically your financial future,
00:13:02.060 you've got to check out Birch Gold.
00:13:04.820 Inflation is now at 7.8% thanks to Build Back Broke and other Biden policies,
00:13:11.240 which means that that paper money in your wallet is losing value fast.
00:13:15.060 And Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine has now worsened the market's slow decline.
00:13:20.360 Today, an ounce of gold is worth $1,900.
00:13:23.220 It was worth about $300 per ounce in the year 2000.
00:13:26.600 I have been telling you for years and years now that you can buy gold from Birch Gold.
00:13:33.000 It's your hedge against inflation.
00:13:35.100 Did you know that there's another way to hedge against inflation?
00:13:39.160 Silver.
00:13:40.180 Silver and gold.
00:13:41.320 You can get silver from Birch Gold.
00:13:42.780 Silver is also considered real money.
00:13:45.180 Historically speaking, it's extremely undervalued right now.
00:13:48.320 It's an industrial metal.
00:13:49.760 It's in high demand for everything from electric cars to solar panels.
00:13:53.540 Demand is only going to rise.
00:13:55.080 And some analysts suggest that there is an unusual dislocation in price
00:13:59.580 that may present very real opportunities for silver to rally over the next two years.
00:14:03.740 I've really enjoyed investing in silver.
00:14:05.840 Right now, you can call Birch Gold.
00:14:08.580 They're the only company that I trust.
00:14:11.120 Do not wait.
00:14:11.860 Text Knowles, K-N-W-L-E-S, to 989898 to get a free info kit on buying gold or silver in a tax-sheltered account.
00:14:19.840 No obligation to get this info.
00:14:21.180 Text Knowles, K-N-W-L-E-S, to 989898 to get your free info kit now.
00:14:27.140 So all the companies on planet Earth are canceling Russia.
00:14:31.700 This is the first hashtag social media cancel culture campaign that we have ever seen applied to a country.
00:14:39.220 Okay?
00:14:39.700 Most countries in the world have something to do with the nation-state system.
00:14:46.240 Most countries in the world have something to do with the ordinary world order.
00:14:49.980 Even Iran, the world's largest state sponsor of terror, for the past half century,
00:14:55.640 they've had one foot into the international order, one foot out of it.
00:14:58.920 On the one hand, they do business like an ordinary nation.
00:15:01.500 On the other hand, they support terrorists to upend all sorts of international stability.
00:15:07.180 Okay.
00:15:08.260 But still, even Iran is kind of in it.
00:15:11.380 North Korea might be the example of a state that is almost entirely outside of the international system.
00:15:17.400 And yet North Korea is basically just propped up by China.
00:15:20.100 They're a sort of quasi-proxy state for China.
00:15:23.420 But now, we are taking Russia, the former Soviet Union, the world's nuclear former, one of the two superpowers.
00:15:35.100 And we are turning Russia into North Korea.
00:15:38.160 All these businesses are stopping their business in Russia.
00:15:42.760 And so what's going to happen?
00:15:45.180 Putin might just take the businesses.
00:15:47.420 We might be getting the Soviet Union all over again.
00:15:50.020 Vladimir Putin is threatening to nationalize the businesses that are no longer doing business in Russia.
00:15:56.300 He says,
00:15:57.320 If businesses cease operations in Russia, and at least a quarter of their stock belongs to any country designated an unfriendly nation,
00:16:04.520 such as the United States or almost any country on earth now,
00:16:08.240 the government will place the business under the control of a state-owned development organization.
00:16:13.020 If companies do not resume operations within five days or agree to sell,
00:16:16.620 their business will be placed under external control for three months, then sold at auction.
00:16:20.960 If no one buys it at auction, the state is the buyer.
00:16:23.640 And so the government just takes over the companies, just like has happened in every communist revolution.
00:16:29.600 The unintended consequence of all these companies canceling Russia is we might just get the Soviet Union right back.
00:16:36.100 Same old state-owned, government-run, command-control type of economy.
00:16:41.820 Obviously, probably Biden didn't see that coming.
00:16:45.560 Probably the CEOs who canceled Russia didn't see that coming.
00:16:49.600 The whole idea of just pulling all your business out of a country in order to influence that country,
00:16:54.760 that's a bizarre idea because for the past, what, 50 years or more than 50 years, 70 or 80 years,
00:16:59.660 we have been told that corporations need to go into hostile countries,
00:17:03.740 that that's actually how we're going to exert our influence.
00:17:05.780 You know, they'll say, no two countries with a McDonald's have ever gone to war with each other.
00:17:12.060 That was always the sort of neoliberal globalist mantra.
00:17:16.420 So what do they do?
00:17:17.160 Right before we're about to go to war with Russia, McDonald's ceases operations because that way it's still true.
00:17:22.380 No two countries with a McDonald's have gone to war with each other.
00:17:25.080 McDonald's ran out beforehand.
00:17:26.900 We need to spread Coca-Cola all around the world.
00:17:29.080 This is American soft cultural power.
00:17:31.220 This is how we're going to spread our influence.
00:17:32.560 Well, if that's true, then how come all these companies are all pulling their product out right now?
00:17:38.920 I don't even think it's to influence Russia.
00:17:41.380 I think it's because of the fad of cancel culture because Coca-Cola knows that its customers demand that it pulls out of Russia
00:17:51.560 or McDonald's or whichever of these companies.
00:17:55.540 And so you're seeing a cascading cancellation.
00:17:57.960 Well, we might feel really good about that.
00:17:59.580 Yeah, take that, Putin.
00:18:00.760 Yeah, you don't get your hamburger anymore.
00:18:02.660 Take that.
00:18:04.000 But what is the unintended consequence?
00:18:06.200 Oh, the unintended consequence is you might now have this state going completely rogue,
00:18:10.400 nationalizing companies, giving us a brand new Cold War.
00:18:14.140 Is that smart?
00:18:15.360 I don't think so.
00:18:16.700 It's also, it happens because of this misconception that the West is omnipotent,
00:18:23.580 that we can do whatever we want.
00:18:26.240 All we need to do is do it, show strength.
00:18:28.860 This, the West is very powerful, but the West is not omnipotent, okay?
00:18:35.200 This was the same backwards thinking that made us think, oh, we'll go into Iraq.
00:18:40.460 It'll take three weeks.
00:18:41.580 They'll greet us as liberators.
00:18:42.780 It'll be all over.
00:18:43.720 We'll install a Madisonian democracy.
00:18:45.660 And then everyone will live happily ever after.
00:18:48.500 Is that what happened in Iraq?
00:18:49.860 No.
00:18:50.760 Same thing about Egypt.
00:18:52.060 Oh, we'll go in.
00:18:52.720 We'll get rid of, not Muammar Gaddafi, of Hosni Mubarak, who was a longtime ally of the
00:18:58.760 United States.
00:18:59.380 We'll get rid of Mubarak.
00:19:00.520 He's no longer politically convenient.
00:19:02.360 We'll find somebody else.
00:19:03.700 They'll have a democracy.
00:19:04.540 They'll live happily ever after.
00:19:05.860 Did that happen?
00:19:06.500 No.
00:19:07.200 Same thing in Libya.
00:19:08.960 We're going to go into Libya, get rid of Gaddafi, and then it's going to be a wonderful,
00:19:12.700 thriving democracy.
00:19:13.500 Right?
00:19:13.820 Wrong.
00:19:14.220 That didn't happen.
00:19:14.880 We'll go into Syria.
00:19:15.920 We'll go in here.
00:19:16.740 We couldn't even occupy Afghanistan indefinitely.
00:19:20.860 Afghanistan is this backwood, backwater place full of largely illiterate goat herders.
00:19:27.980 We occupied it for 20 years.
00:19:29.660 We didn't change a damn thing on the ground.
00:19:32.000 The second we left, the Afghan military collapsed.
00:19:35.140 The so-called democracy we have there collapsed.
00:19:38.080 The Taliban came right back in.
00:19:40.040 This is not to say that the West is powerless or impotent, but our hubris really gets the better
00:19:45.280 of us sometimes, okay?
00:19:46.420 And we think that whatever we want to do, we can do, and it'll be cost-free.
00:19:50.380 It'll be easy.
00:19:51.080 It'll be fast.
00:19:52.140 Just go in and do it.
00:19:53.160 Well, sometimes it's more complicated.
00:19:57.100 Sometimes you need to know really basic things about the countries that you're invading,
00:20:02.920 really basic things about the policies you're pursuing.
00:20:05.720 If you really want to outfox Vladimir Putin, who's a very shrewd political operative, if
00:20:10.440 you really want to remake the entire area of Eastern Europe, how about you know which
00:20:15.300 countries are in NATO?
00:20:16.420 Huh?
00:20:17.300 If you really want to get into this war over oil and energy with Russia and Iran and other
00:20:24.860 other hostile actors, how about you know the basic elements of what makes gas prices go
00:20:29.840 up and down?
00:20:30.420 If you don't do that, if you just think we're the West, we can do whatever we want, we don't
00:20:34.280 need to read a basic textbook about how to do this, then things are not going to go very
00:20:39.220 well for you.
00:20:40.420 Lots of, you want to know the perfect example of these unintended consequences?
00:20:44.140 Last week, you remember, I was a crazy, kooky, Putin, talking point spewing, tinfoil hat wearing
00:20:53.700 conspiracy theorist because I pointed out that the Russian and Chinese propaganda about biolabs
00:21:02.620 in Ukraine in conjunction with the United States military actually exist.
00:21:08.220 And initially, the West's propaganda and the Pentagon and the White House, they denied
00:21:15.240 that these biolabs existed.
00:21:17.020 Then they said, okay, maybe they do exist, but we don't really have much to do with them.
00:21:20.860 Okay, well, yeah, maybe we have an association, but it's for ordinary scientific research.
00:21:26.100 Okay, yeah, well, maybe the military is running things.
00:21:28.720 But look, there's no worry about bioweapons here.
00:21:31.900 This is totally above board.
00:21:33.140 So over the weekend, on the Sunday shows, the Pentagon told a CBS reporter, yes, actually,
00:21:42.920 we are very, very worried that because these biolabs exist and because the Russians are coming
00:21:49.360 in, you might have a bioweapons problem in Ukraine.
00:21:53.360 Russia, though, is willing to use munitions that have been banned under international law.
00:21:59.660 We know that.
00:22:00.280 We heard President Biden warn about chemical weapons use.
00:22:03.940 Are we seeing movement of those kind of weapons into Ukraine?
00:22:07.540 A Pentagon official I talked to this morning said there is no movement of chemical weapons
00:22:13.820 into Ukraine.
00:22:16.280 At least they're not seeing the signs of it.
00:22:18.460 The concern is that the Russians will seize one of these biomedical research facilities
00:22:24.600 that Ukraine has where they do research on deadly pathogens like botulism and anthrax, seize one
00:22:33.720 of those facilities, weaponize the pathogen, and then blame it on Ukraine and the US because
00:22:40.520 the US has been providing support for some of the research being done in those facilities.
00:22:46.600 But it appears the Ukrainians have gotten most of those pathogens destroyed.
00:22:55.820 Weaponize the pathogens?
00:22:57.480 Hold on a second here.
00:22:59.320 You're telling me that the United States and Ukraine do not have a bioweapons program in
00:23:05.720 these laboratories?
00:23:06.600 That's crazy Russian Chinese propaganda.
00:23:09.340 How dare you if you ask any questions about this?
00:23:11.440 You're just a stooge for Vladimir Putin.
00:23:15.160 But the fear is that if the Russians come in, they'll weaponize the pathogens that are
00:23:20.520 there.
00:23:21.060 Now, by this statement, I don't think they mean that the Russians are going to go in
00:23:24.640 and create a brand new bioweapons program, right?
00:23:27.380 They're not going to go in and say, okay, now that we've got these labs, these beakers
00:23:30.820 and these Bunsen burners, now we're going to create a bioweapons program.
00:23:34.220 No, they're just going to use the bioweapons that are already there.
00:23:38.520 But the Pentagon's argument is, no, no, no, all the anthrax and all the deadly pathogens
00:23:44.840 that we've got there, those aren't bioweapons.
00:23:47.600 They're only bioweapons when the Russians use them.
00:23:50.560 What are you talking about?
00:23:52.460 No, if they're there, if these pathogens can be used as bioweapons in these laboratories
00:24:00.280 that are being run with the help of the American military, then that is obviously a bioweapons
00:24:06.060 program.
00:24:06.580 Okay, and maybe there's perfectly good reason as to why the United States is running these
00:24:12.220 labs with Ukraine.
00:24:13.760 Okay, I'm not saying we should buy all of the conclusions of the Russian and Chinese propaganda
00:24:18.920 about what this implies for public policy.
00:24:22.320 But I don't want my own government lying to me and calling me a liar and a kook and a
00:24:28.780 conspiracy theorist for pointing out something that they are now admitting is true.
00:24:33.120 Here's what probably happened.
00:24:34.260 There were bioweapons laboratories in the Soviet Union.
00:24:37.400 After the collapse of the USSR, America comes in, takes a lot more control in Eastern Europe.
00:24:43.180 Then we don't just dismantle these things.
00:24:44.980 We keep running them.
00:24:45.840 We're working in connection with the Ukrainian government and with Georgia and with other
00:24:49.540 governments around the world.
00:24:51.020 And we think nothing bad can ever happen.
00:24:52.980 What's the big deal?
00:24:53.720 We're the global hegemon.
00:24:54.760 We can do whatever we want.
00:24:56.120 And then whoopsie-daisy, war breaks out in Ukraine.
00:24:58.420 We never thought it was actually going to happen, even though it was increasingly likely
00:25:02.340 in recent years.
00:25:03.260 I said, no, it's not going to happen.
00:25:04.360 What could go wrong?
00:25:05.140 What could go wrong?
00:25:05.800 What could go wrong?
00:25:06.340 Well, here's what could go wrong.
00:25:07.480 What could go wrong is now you've got war breaking out in Europe with not only nuclear
00:25:12.120 weapons on the table, but now chemical and biological weapons too.
00:25:15.600 Right after, right as we're coming out of a two-year pandemic that very possibly started
00:25:22.000 in almost exactly the same way because of a lab in Wuhan, China.
00:25:26.220 What could go wrong?
00:25:27.200 What could go wrong is if we don't have basic competence in our political leaders.
00:25:32.000 You know, we've just started our own publishing wing called Daily Wire Books.
00:25:35.920 We are excited that one of the first books we'll be publishing is 12 Seconds in the Dark by
00:25:40.580 Sergeant Mattingly.
00:25:41.540 The book is the true story of what really happened the night of the Breonna Taylor shooting.
00:25:45.960 Check out this trailer.
00:25:47.520 It was very chaotic.
00:25:49.060 It was very quick.
00:25:50.740 Instantly, I knew I was shot.
00:25:52.140 Breonna Taylor, she was caught in the crossfire of those bullets.
00:25:55.100 As soon as your brain's registering, it's already over.
00:25:58.520 The media got so many things wrong in this case, saying we had the wrong apartment.
00:26:02.680 Her name wasn't on the warrant.
00:26:04.120 She was shot and killed in her sleep, in her bed.
00:26:06.680 These are lies.
00:26:07.620 This is not true.
00:26:08.600 And all the while, you're hearing all these outside influences from athletes and Oprah
00:26:13.980 and Ellen DeGeneres and Kamala Harris and Joe Biden.
00:26:17.340 All those people coming and attacking you, putting your name on their account, saying he
00:26:21.740 should be in prison.
00:26:22.600 All these things that they have no idea what they're talking about.
00:26:25.220 But they have such influence.
00:26:27.200 The more we attack police for doing their job, the less good qualified police you're going
00:26:32.000 to have.
00:26:32.340 When you read 12 Seconds in the Dark, you will find out the truth of what really happened
00:26:38.080 the night of the Breonna Taylor raid.
00:26:39.520 The book comes out tomorrow, March 15th.

00:27:42.360 Calling all Hyperions.
00:27:45.340 My name is Vista Mandelbaum.
00:27:47.940 My brother and I have taken four hostages.
00:27:59.860 Everybody against the wall.
00:28:01.060 We've come for one thing.
00:28:03.400 Our Titan badges.
00:28:05.640 Is this real?
00:28:07.020 Yes, ma'am, this is real.
00:28:08.020 It's my sign in this.
00:28:09.280 Well, I want that, too.
00:28:10.860 It's the police.
00:28:11.960 They want to talk to whoever's in charge.
00:28:13.380 This Titan badge can grant an individual superhuman power.
00:28:20.120 Perhaps it's time for someone else to take on the responsibility.
00:28:24.780 Meet Apollo.
00:28:30.800 I'd recommend next time using your power.
00:28:33.160 Yeah, if you think so.
00:28:35.560 Calling all Hyperions.
00:28:38.340 On my way.
00:28:40.220 You're making such a mess in here.
00:28:41.880 We've got a Hyperion en route.
00:28:44.780 Not a good time to look stupid.
00:28:48.840 Shots fired!
00:28:50.200 God, come on, give me my gun!
00:28:53.100 Suit up for adventure.
00:29:01.180 She's trying to destroy me.
00:29:06.620 Next question, how's the family?
00:29:08.620 The family is, um, uh, gosh, what is it?
00:29:14.340 Marvelous.
00:29:15.260 I'm going to fight for the rights to do what I want!
00:29:19.340 Head on over to dailywire.com slash red carpet.
00:29:21.560 Enter code REDCARPET so you don't miss a beat.
00:29:23.260 We will be right back with a lot more.
00:29:24.640 Speaking of unintended consequences in Russia, I've got some really good news for you if you want to make threats against Russians on social media.
00:29:44.980 You know, threats on social media against anybody are generally frowned upon, except right now Facebook has just declared that you now can allow for posts threatening violence against Russians, specifically with regard to Ukraine.
00:30:02.060 So this change in policy, uh, just came out from meta platforms.
00:30:06.820 It will allow Facebook and Instagram users in certain countries to call for violence against Russians and Russian soldiers in the context of the Ukraine invasion.
00:30:16.940 Now, you can't call for violence against Russians if you say, for instance, uh, I ate my borscht tonight and some of the red beet juice splattered on my blazer.
00:30:26.680 I'm going to kill you, Russians!
00:30:27.940 That is not allowed.
00:30:29.220 But you can say, hey, I really like Ukraine.
00:30:32.360 I want to kill you, Russians!
00:30:33.980 That is totally fine.
00:30:35.240 You've got to be very specific about what kind of threats of violence you're making against the Russian people.
00:30:41.720 Uh, this is according to internal emails that were seen by Reuters last Thursday.
00:30:45.820 Uh, this is a temporary change to its hate speech policy.
00:30:50.100 Facebook, Instagram, all the social media companies have hate speech policies.
00:30:54.860 And the point of these policies is that hate will not be tolerated unless Mark Zuckerberg wants to tolerate it.
00:31:01.940 Hate will not be tolerated on the platform except when Zuckerberg deems it right.
00:31:07.620 There's a, another change that took place on Facebook with regard to Ukraine specifically.
00:31:12.620 One of the groups that is fighting in Ukraine is a neo-Nazi group.
00:31:17.160 It's called the Azov Battalion.
00:31:19.520 There are lots of different military and paramilitary groups fighting in Ukraine, but one of them is a neo-Nazi group called the Azov Battalion.
00:31:27.220 You were not permitted to support the Azov Battalion on Facebook.
00:31:31.460 That previously violated its hate speech policy.
00:31:34.500 Now, temporarily, during the war in Ukraine, you are allowed to make supportive comments of the neo-Nazi group because that neo-Nazi group is fighting against the Russians.
00:31:44.300 Now, by the way, I totally understand why, depending on the context, Facebook would change this hate speech policy.
00:31:53.920 I totally understand why they might say that in some cases it's okay to make comments in support of Nazis and calling for violence against the Russians.
00:32:02.880 Don't forget, in World War II, we teamed up with Russian communists, we in the United States, teamed up with Russian communists to fight the Nazis.
00:32:11.140 The communists are no better than the Nazis, but the United States determined it was in our geopolitical interest to defeat Nazi Germany.
00:32:17.660 So, the way to do it was to team up with the Russian communists.
00:32:21.020 We did that, and then immediately after the Second World War, we started another war with communist Russia.
00:32:28.200 That went on, and that was called the Cold War.
00:32:30.140 So, I can understand how, in this case, they say, look, right now, you've got to put your issues with the Nazis aside.
00:32:37.020 We've got to team up with the Nazis to fight the Russians, who are increasingly looking like the exact same old Russian communists who were fighting in the Cold War.
00:32:44.420 Okay, the question for me is, do we trust big tech with this power?
00:32:53.420 If we are going to say that certain things are going to be censored, certain speech is going to be encouraged.
00:32:59.940 Even certain hate speech is going to be encouraged.
00:33:03.340 Even certain direct calls for violence are going to be encouraged.
00:33:06.440 Even certain defenses of neo-Nazis are going to be encouraged now.
00:33:10.060 Do we trust big tech to make that call?
00:33:14.420 I don't.
00:33:15.960 Certainly not.
00:33:17.460 Do we trust big tech not to use this exact same power, this exact same kind of capriciousness, to say, okay, now we're going to look at domestic politics.
00:33:28.880 Now that we're done dealing with the Nazis in Ukraine and the communists in Russia, now we're going to look at those Nazis in America.
00:33:35.680 You know, those January 6th people.
00:33:37.360 Do we not believe that Facebook and YouTube and Twitter and Google, do we really think they wouldn't use this power against us to say, actually, it's okay to call for certain violence against certain groups here in America?
00:33:52.080 Actually, okay, it's fine to support certain violent hate groups here in America.
00:33:56.060 They already do that.
00:33:56.980 It's fine to support Antifa.
00:33:58.760 It's fine to support BLM.
00:34:00.540 Antifa and BLM spent eight months burning the country down in 2020.
00:34:04.000 It's fine to support them.
00:34:07.020 And by the way, it's basically tolerated to threaten conservatives on Twitter.
00:34:14.980 Maybe it's technically against the letter of the law, but rarely will people get in trouble for defaming, insulting, even threatening conservatives who the left believes are deplorable and irredeemable.
00:34:27.200 Do we trust these guys to have this power?
00:34:30.280 I certainly do not.
00:34:32.060 Speaking of social media, I have got the creepiest social media story that I have seen in many, many weeks.
00:34:39.020 This goes to the mayor of Huntersville, this small little town, Stacey Phillips, mayor of Huntersville, sends out a tweet to gay children asking them to slide into her DMs.
00:34:54.220 She says, if you're a kid living in a don't-say-gay state and feel like you don't have an adult to talk to, I got you.
00:35:04.520 You're welcome to slide into my DMs to talk, to share, to express yourself confidentially.
00:35:13.080 It'd be an honor to be your auntie by blessing.
00:35:16.600 You're perfect just the way you are.
00:35:21.120 I am a very peaceful guy.
00:35:22.920 Okay, I am about as chill as they get, even compared to other people in the conservative movement.
00:35:30.380 You know, a lot of conservatives, they get really angry all the time, especially conservative commentators, and they yell and they get really hot in the face and steam comes out of their ears.
00:35:38.080 And that's not me.
00:35:39.940 Okay, I am pretty calm.
00:35:41.880 I am pretty peaceable.
00:35:43.120 If you have a private conversation with my child, if you establish a private relationship with my child specifically to talk about sex, you better run.
00:36:01.680 You better start running.
00:36:02.940 You better run directly to the police to turn yourself in.
00:36:07.320 That would be the best option for you.
00:36:08.980 If there is one thing on earth that could impel me to violence, that very likely would impel me to violence, it would be that.
00:36:18.900 Hey, hey, someone else's kid, slide into my DMs.
00:36:23.520 It's a very flirtatious phrase.
00:36:24.820 Just slide into my DMs, and we can talk about your sexual desires.
00:36:29.660 I'd love to be your auntie.
00:36:31.360 Oh, yeah, I'm your little auntie.
00:36:32.880 Slide on in, and we'll talk about sex.
00:36:35.280 10-year-olds, 11-year-olds, 12-year-olds.
00:36:39.080 Run.
00:36:39.980 Run.
00:36:40.780 Please.
00:36:41.380 We were talking about threats on social media.
00:36:44.480 First of all, that's the craziest threat I ever heard on social media.
00:36:47.280 That sort of thing is extremely creepy, and also it's the logical consequence of this kind of politics of radical sexual liberation.
00:37:00.440 Now, in this woman's defense, Stacey Phillips, I bet that she did not mean this in a sexual way.
00:37:07.480 I don't, who knows?
00:37:08.080 Maybe she did, maybe she didn't.
00:37:09.160 But I would bet that she didn't.
00:37:11.400 I would bet that she just believes that sexual liberation is the most important political battle that we have right now, and parents have no right to raise their own children.
00:37:24.060 And it's very important that children pursue whatever sexual desire they have, even if that means mutilating their bodies, even if that means pretending that they're the different sex.
00:37:32.060 And she's going to be the great liberator over the oppressive parents who are just keeping their children constrained by things like the laws of nature.
00:37:44.540 There's a left-wing group, Together Rising, that's saying this thing almost explicitly.
00:37:49.340 This left-wing group, Together Rising, says that there is no such thing as other people's kids.
00:37:53.260 They wrote, quote, today, Together Rising is investing $150,000 in three trusted organizations serving LGBTQI2S plus, I didn't make that up, that's actually what they call it now, youth in Florida.
00:38:07.280 They're providing critical mental health support, vital medical care, school resources, and housing support services across Florida.
00:38:14.340 There is no such thing as other people's children.
00:38:18.840 The slippery slope gets even slipperier.
00:38:21.280 Remember, Hillary Clinton wrote a book.
00:38:24.860 It was called It Takes a Village.
00:38:26.860 She had this expression, it takes a village to raise a child.
00:38:29.780 It's a common expression.
00:38:31.860 Well, within, what, 20 years, we've gone from, it takes a village to raise a child.
00:38:35.640 Your child is not merely raised by the individual.
00:38:38.540 Two, there is no such thing as other people's children.
00:38:42.500 In other words, you have no right to raise your own child.
00:38:45.220 We, the genius liberal ruling class, we have 100% the right to raise your child.
00:38:55.140 And unfortunately, look, on the surface, this is completely insane.
00:38:59.120 Again, if you tell me that you're going to come here and take my child and raise my child the way that you, creepy perverts, see fit,
00:39:06.020 instead of the way I want to raise my child in the correct way, start running.
00:39:11.580 Don't come knocking on my door and expect things to go just fine, okay?
00:39:15.400 That's not going to turn out well for you.
00:39:17.140 But on a deeper level, there is something kind of true about this.
00:39:21.620 Not even to say that it should be this way, just this is the way it is.
00:39:27.520 Your children will be raised in large part by the culture that they're living in.
00:39:32.520 Regardless of what you want, you could be the most upright, ordinary, upstanding citizen.
00:39:37.700 But if you live in a debauched and decadent culture, that is going to affect the way your kids are raised.
00:39:42.640 It really does take a village to raise a child because your kids are seeing other people.
00:39:47.180 They're very often being educated by other people.
00:39:49.420 Even if they're homeschooled, they're going to be educated by other people.
00:39:51.620 They're going to see neighbors.
00:39:52.620 They're going to see people at the restaurant.
00:39:54.220 They're going to see friends of friends and extended family members, okay?
00:39:56.900 And that's going to have an impact.
00:39:59.220 So, yes, a culture that holds that boys can be girls as a sacred truth.
00:40:07.420 It's neither sacred nor true.
00:40:09.160 But if the culture holds it as a sacred truth, that is going to influence the way your kids are raised.
00:40:14.220 Which is why it's more important now than ever to assert our political power and retake those standards.
00:40:20.600 And say, no, hey, hold up.
00:40:22.320 I know that you kooks who have a lot of institutional power in America.
00:40:25.860 I know that you pretend that men are women, but they're not.
00:40:29.040 And we're not going to let you say that.
00:40:31.360 It's just not true.
00:40:33.120 And sorry, we're going to push back.
00:40:34.740 That's what you're seeing in the parents' movement against critical race theory, against transgenderism.
00:40:39.320 This is the movement that swept Glenn Youngkin into power in Virginia.
00:40:42.260 Even Democrats are now realizing this does not sell very well.
00:40:47.040 Beto O'Rourke, the candidate who can't stop running for office, even Beto O'Rourke is admitting, no, okay, we're not going to be pushing this stuff in schools.
00:40:56.660 And I think you and I probably are both on the same page as well.
00:41:00.740 We don't see CRT being taught in our schools right now.
00:41:05.760 It's a course that is taught in law school.
00:41:07.820 No, I don't think it should be taught in our schools, yeah.
00:41:12.780 So Beto O'Rourke starts off with the typical Democrat evasion line.
00:41:18.540 Critical race theory is not being taught in our schools.
00:41:21.300 Critical race theory, it's just a course taught in law school, which he doesn't know what he's talking about, about this or anything else.
00:41:27.340 But what he means is critical race theory as an academic lens began really in Harvard Law School about 35 years ago, 40 years ago, no, about 35 years ago.
00:41:39.480 And it was this idea that America is hopelessly racist, that white supremacy and racism are structural in America.
00:41:49.660 Very often you don't even see it, and so this imbues every other field with this new kind of knowledge.
00:41:59.600 It is not so much its own course as it is a gadfly on other systems.
00:42:06.740 It derives from critical theory and critical studies, and one of the sympathetic historians of critical theory, Martin Jay, says that it's really a gadfly on other systems.
00:42:18.120 So when we say critical race theory is being taught, we're not saying that there's a course in some elementary school called critical race theory.
00:42:26.000 You know, okay kids, I hope you enjoyed social studies, now you're going to your critical race theory class.
00:42:30.480 That's not how it works.
00:42:31.500 But the way critical race theory and the other critical theory disciplines work and derivations work is they just glom on to literature.
00:42:40.680 They glom on to history.
00:42:43.240 They glom on to social studies.
00:42:45.260 For goodness sake, they can glom on to math, okay?
00:42:46.940 They can glom on to basically every other department, and that's what we're talking about here.
00:42:50.840 So Beto O'Rourke's excuse doesn't hold water.
00:42:53.460 The parents know it doesn't hold water.
00:42:55.080 And then they say, well, do you think it should be taught in schools?
00:42:57.480 And Beto says, no, I do not.
00:43:00.700 And there it is.
00:43:03.200 Okay, now he'll try to weasel out of it.
00:43:04.720 Beto O'Rourke doesn't believe anything.
00:43:06.140 Beto O'Rourke is just some idiot narcissist who wants to skateboard around Whataburger parking lots
00:43:12.160 and just get elected to be a congressman or to be a senator or to be the president.
00:43:16.920 I don't think he believes a damn thing at all.
00:43:18.620 He's just a completely empty suit.
00:43:21.080 He's like Robert Redford in The Candidate, except he believes even less, okay?
00:43:26.480 And he's much less attractive.
00:43:27.460 So, but he's saying this now because he knows that parents hate this crap, okay?
00:43:35.320 Really bad news for Democrats.
00:43:37.180 They've just gone way too far.
00:43:39.480 And even Beto, hell yes, I'm going to take your AR-15s.
00:43:43.140 Even that guy is saying, whoa, hell yes, I'm a social conservative now, Texas, please elect me.
00:43:50.780 Why?
00:43:51.480 Because he knows that what parents want the kids to be taught in school is not crazy gender theory.
00:43:56.280 It's not crazy racial theory.
00:43:58.440 It's math.
00:44:00.880 It's arithmetic and reading and writing and really basic stuff that kids are not being taught.
00:44:08.140 If you talk to an average inner city student in a public school right now,
00:44:14.160 they could probably tell you something about racism, structural racism, inequality.
00:44:19.580 They could probably tell you about the difference between transgender and cisgender and other genders,
00:44:26.320 but they probably couldn't read, okay?
00:44:29.720 And that's a big problem.
00:44:30.600 There's a new study that just came out of Maryland in terms of kids' academic outcomes.
00:44:35.800 It is an indictment of our entire education system.
00:44:39.820 A full 85% of students in Maryland, 85% are not proficient in math.
00:44:50.680 A lot of this has to do with COVID, according to this study,
00:44:53.820 because you took kids out of school for two years.
00:44:56.460 What do you think is going to happen?
00:44:58.220 The kids already weren't doing well in school when they were showing up and doing their homework.
00:45:02.280 Now, the terrible.
00:45:06.080 This is a, quote, stunning amount of learning loss, according to experts who are looking at these studies.
00:45:12.900 In Baltimore City, less than 7% of students who were tested in third through fifth grade math scored proficient.
00:45:21.400 93% of these students are not proficient in math.
00:45:25.540 The results for English language arts are just as bad.
00:45:28.580 So you're not even saying, well, look, math is hard, but at least the kids can kind of futz their way around in English or history.
00:45:34.180 No, 91% of students tested in third through fifth grade are not proficient in language.
00:45:40.860 They can't read and write and speak.
00:45:43.360 For middle schoolers in Baltimore, 95% who took the seventh and eighth grade tests were not proficient in math.
00:45:51.080 Across the state, so look, Baltimore is a city with a lot of challenges.
00:45:54.480 Even across the state, 94% were not proficient in math at those grade levels.
00:46:00.000 At one Baltimore high school, 77% of students were found to read at an elementary or kindergarten level.
00:46:05.480 This is in high school.
00:46:06.600 This is more than three quarters of the students.
00:46:09.080 As a result of the COVID closures, in 10 Baltimore public high schools, students earned below a 1.0 GPA.
00:46:18.740 And then the craziest part is these kids are failing.
00:46:22.360 They don't know anything.
00:46:23.340 They can't read.
00:46:24.180 They can't, they can barely talk.
00:46:26.300 They don't stay back at grade.
00:46:27.880 They just keep getting passed on because the situation is so dire that repeating the ninth grade isn't going to do anything for them.
00:46:35.120 Eventually the bill comes due.
00:46:36.960 I remember, you probably, you might not remember this now, but I remember it really clearly.
00:46:41.800 Those first two weeks of COVID were sort of fun.
00:46:44.560 They were fun in the way that a, a, a rainstorm that takes the power out is fun.
00:46:51.580 You're in your apartment building.
00:46:53.140 Ooh, we're all in this together.
00:46:54.600 You're in your house and ooh, the power goes out and maybe you got to go over to your neighbor and get a flashlight.
00:46:59.580 Ooh, this is kind of fun.
00:47:01.520 Ooh, snow day.
00:47:02.920 Oh great.
00:47:03.280 We don't have to go to school tomorrow.
00:47:04.380 That's kind of fun.
00:47:07.120 But it's not free.
00:47:08.100 You can't just take two years off of life and expect the bill not to come due.
00:47:12.660 But that's what the Democrats expected.
00:47:15.480 They expected that.
00:47:16.860 Well, certainly with COVID, they thought, okay, we can shut down the economy for two years and it'll be fine.
00:47:21.740 We won't have crazy inflation.
00:47:23.920 We'll just pay people to do nothing, but we won't have wild, crazy inflation, right?
00:47:28.260 We can take kids out of school for two years and that's fine.
00:47:31.560 That won't affect their test scores, right?
00:47:34.160 Really, they've taken kids out of school in terms of really good substantive education for about 40 years now.
00:47:40.420 That's fine.
00:47:41.420 That won't matter.
00:47:42.040 However, we cannot teach kids anything and still have a really good country, right?
00:47:47.900 No, then you're going to get a vice president who doesn't know which countries are in NATO while she's touring NATO.
00:47:52.880 To discuss a war that is largely about NATO.
00:47:59.640 And by the way, you know the craziest part?
00:48:02.360 It's not over.
00:48:04.100 It's not over.
00:48:04.920 This whole COVID thing that was the cause of a lot of these economic and educational problems, it's not over.
00:48:11.380 They're trying to convince you it's over because it's really bad for their poll numbers and because they're now focused on this war in Ukraine.
00:48:18.460 But it's still cropping back up.
00:48:20.320 There's a new news story.
00:48:22.120 New Omicron variant surging.
00:48:25.440 States across the U.S. are removing mandates for masks with Hawaii set to be the last on March 26th.
00:48:30.400 But scientists say removing a stealth Omicron variant, BA2, or rather a stealth Omicron variant, BA2, has been moving steadily across the country.
00:48:41.500 Uh-oh.
00:48:42.460 It now makes up 11.6% of overall virus cases as of March 5th since it began doubling on February 5th.
00:48:50.260 It keeps cropping up and cases have doubled the past few weeks.
00:48:53.780 Uh-oh.
00:48:54.280 Here we go.
00:48:54.920 What about the TSA?
00:48:56.620 One of the last mask mandates that still exists is on airplanes.
00:49:00.240 When are we going to lose that?
00:49:01.340 Well, the TSA just decided to extend it.
00:49:03.340 They're going to extend it a month longer.
00:49:05.000 That'll probably only be a month, right?
00:49:06.740 That's how this works.
00:49:07.960 Just one more month to slow the spread, right?
00:49:10.460 No.
00:49:11.000 They're pulling back a little bit on COVID to get their numbers back up because COVID is now a net negative, not a net positive for the Democrats.
00:49:18.820 But they don't actually want to give up the power.
00:49:20.840 And so they're not giving up the power.
00:49:22.520 They're still holding on to it.
00:49:23.880 Joe Biden is not getting rid of the emergency declaration.
00:49:26.800 They took Fauci off TV because Fauci became a net negative for them instead of a net positive.
00:49:31.520 But he's still got the power.
00:49:33.100 All these technocrats still have all the power that they took from you for the past two years.
00:49:36.520 And they are waiting to use it again.
00:49:38.500 They're even setting the stage to use it again.
00:49:40.160 Uh-oh.
00:49:40.420 Here comes the other Omicron.
00:49:41.980 Uh-oh.
00:49:42.440 In Ukraine, you might have other pathogens breaking out.
00:49:45.340 Get ready.
00:49:46.060 Get ready.
00:49:46.560 The only way we're going to get our power back, our constitutional republic back, is if we demand it and we take it back and we use the political power that we've got.
00:49:58.780 The reset is moving on.
00:50:00.720 And they keep moving the goalposts.
00:50:02.000 Senator Jeff Merkley, this Democrat senator, went on Chris Hayes' show on MSNBC last week.
00:50:08.140 And you can see them moving the goalposts on energy.
00:50:10.760 It's not a question of where the actual stuff comes from.
00:50:14.580 It's fossil fuels priced on a global market subject to these kind of things.
00:50:18.840 This idea that we can drill our way out of this has been proven to be madness.
00:50:23.380 Do your colleagues understand this?
00:50:25.480 As long as there is a world market for oil, Russia will be able to sell its oil.
00:50:32.140 And so, unfortunately, not all my colleagues yet understand that the way to undercut the power of Russia is to end our dependence on oil and have the world transition to renewable energy.
00:50:44.380 So, hold on.
00:50:45.300 So, here, and they go on in this interview, they keep conflating two goals.
00:50:50.320 One of the goals is bring down the cost of energy.
00:50:53.140 The other goal is punish Vladimir Putin.
00:50:55.980 And right now, those goals are in conflict because the more we punish Putin, the more expensive gas becomes.
00:51:02.400 But Putin's still almost certainly going to survive it because Europe is addicted to his gas because of Western energy policies that have rolled out the red carpet for Putin, specifically the policies of Joe Biden.
00:51:13.420 So, the question you have to ask is what are we really aiming at here?
00:51:18.040 Do we want to?
00:51:18.800 I also love that he talks about how we need renewable energy because we don't want to be beholden to the oil market.
00:51:24.400 As though renewable energy doesn't have a market, too.
00:51:26.460 All of these things are driven, in large part, by market dynamics.
00:51:29.700 But the question is, what do we want to do?
00:51:31.940 Do we want to drive down energy costs?
00:51:34.520 Do we want to punish Vladimir Putin?
00:51:36.200 What is the point of punishing Vladimir Putin?
00:51:37.840 What's the end goal of that other than just making ourselves feel good?
00:51:40.480 We don't have the answers to any of those questions.
00:51:43.040 And so, we're not really doing any of it.
00:51:44.800 At this point, the unintended consequences of a lot of our Russia policies are to ensconce Putin more firmly in power.
00:51:52.660 The unintended consequences, frankly, who knows, may be intended by these idiots who are running our country in the State Department and the White House under Joe Biden,
00:52:00.100 is to create incentives for Joe Biden to invade Ukraine.
00:52:04.140 The unintended or perhaps intended consequences of our energy policy is to raise the cost of energy here in America without any purpose, without even helping the environment,
00:52:14.600 because we're just burning oil from Iran, potentially from Venezuela and from Russia.
00:52:21.600 Before you do things that just make you feel good, that make you just sound good, you've got to ask, what is it for?
00:52:27.380 What is it actually going to accomplish?
00:52:28.560 What are the basic elements of the policy that I am pursuing?
00:52:32.360 Our ruling class can't answer any of that.
00:52:34.740 And so, you can't expect things to get any better.
00:52:37.700 Certainly not under the people running the show right now.
