Ep. 989 - The Clock Strikes Midnight At Disney

Summary

When I was a kid, the Republicans were the party of small government and big corporations. The party that took the side of rich, uncle penny bags against the little guy. And now, the Democrats are the party for the big business.

00:00:00.000 We are officially living in the upside down world. When I was a kid, the Republicans were
00:00:05.920 the party of small government and big corporations. The party that took the side of rich uncle penny
00:00:12.680 bags against the little guy, the party of deregulation, the party, most of all, of tax
00:00:19.100 cuts. The Democrats, on the other hand, were the party of big government, the party of soaking the
00:00:25.860 rich, the party that assailed big corporations. And yet today, that script has totally flipped.
00:00:35.020 Just yesterday in Florida, Republicans passed a bill, which will be signed into law today or
00:00:39.840 tomorrow, that takes power away from Disney, probably the most powerful corporation in the
00:00:46.380 entire state of Florida. A bill that will raise taxes on that corporation and re-regulate, not
00:00:53.400 deregulate, re-regulate its relationship with the state of Florida, all because Disney opposes a law
00:01:00.140 that Republicans passed that prohibits teachers from preaching transgenderism in kindergarten
00:01:05.580 classrooms. That's another big change. When I was a kid, Democrats were the party that fought the big
00:01:12.400 cultural battles and won them. Republicans were the losers who rolled over. Today, it's the Republicans
00:01:20.120 going on the offensive, waging a battle to retake cultural ground, getting punched by Disney, and
00:01:26.400 then punching back twice as hard. And today, it's not only the Democrats, but even the operatives for
00:01:33.840 open socialists who are taking the side of the big corporations. Even Bernie Sanders' former press
00:01:41.560 secretary is shilling for a $200 billion corporation.
00:01:47.840 I know fashion corporations is popular left and right these days. I'd be careful going on.
00:01:52.600 Oh, my money is on the Disney lobbyists, honey.
00:01:54.540 Would you bet against Disney?
00:01:55.580 My money is on the Disney lobbyists. Do you think those state legislatures down in Florida are
00:02:00.040 going to binge to the will of the governor?
00:02:01.440 Did you see what Jared Polis said? He'd love a Rocky Mountain Disney.
00:02:03.720 Yeah.
00:02:05.100 But by the way, the Florida legislature, the state Senate just passed this bill to strip
00:02:09.140 Disney of its special accent. I'm betting on the big corporations, honey. So much for socialism.
00:02:15.660 So much for the little guy. The left is putting their money on big business against the self-rule
00:02:22.520 of the American people. It's a cynical bet. It's an immoral bet. And best of all,
00:02:29.020 and we're seeing this more and more each day, it's looking like a losing bet for Democrats.
00:02:34.420 I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show.
00:02:39.140 Welcome back to the show. My favorite comment yesterday is from Trash Discourse, who says,
00:02:48.500 if they make a gay fight club, they will automatically break the first rule of fight
00:02:53.960 club. Otherwise, Florida wins. So true. So true. It's going to be very difficult to do that sort of
00:03:01.220 reboot. I don't want to just get too lost in my own head here. I don't want to get too far down this
00:03:08.280 rabbit hole of the realignment that we've heard so much about in recent years that the Republicans
00:03:13.780 are the party of the people now, and Democrats have become the party of the rich. I don't want
00:03:17.860 to just be in my own echo chamber, which so often we are. So I have brought on one of the most
00:03:24.900 aggressive, one of the most progressive people that I know. Coincidentally, the host of the
00:03:29.580 aggressive progressive podcast. You've seen him on lots of television stations, Fox News in
00:03:33.640 particular, and all sorts of places. Chris Hahn. Chris, first, thank you for coming on the show.
00:03:40.020 Hey, how you been, man? You're looking thin.
00:03:42.360 Well, thank you very much. I've really tried to style myself a, what's the word? Skinny. I don't
00:03:49.180 know. I've tried to style myself as sort of skinny.
00:03:51.620 That's just me being jealous, man. That's just me being jealous, man. I wish I had your hair. I wish
00:03:56.340 I was as thin as you.
00:03:57.460 Stop it. You're gonna make me blush. I need a reality check, or maybe not. Maybe you agree
00:04:03.300 with my take on this. Are the party, you know, we hear so much in the 1960s that the party has
00:04:09.980 switched, and Republicans usually argue against this. Are the parties switching now? Are the
00:04:14.240 Republicans speaking more toward regular, ordinary, mainstream, blue-collar issues? And are
00:04:20.540 the Democrats shilling for the corporations? No. I think, you know, even if you look at this bill
00:04:26.180 that they just passed in Florida, it gives them a year to kind of work out the details. And I have
00:04:30.860 a feeling in that year, Ron DeSantis will be off in Iowa running for governor, and the people in
00:04:36.480 Florida are going to say, yeah, no, we don't want to piss off the biggest employer in the state of
00:04:39.600 Florida. How can we work this out? They also don't want to take on Disney's debt, which they would
00:04:44.500 have to do if they reintegrate Disney into that surrounding area. There's some other bonding issues.
00:04:50.200 It's not just the, you know, zoning and other things they talk about in this bill. There's some
00:04:54.280 bonding issues that, assumingly, the people of the state of Florida would have to take on if this
00:05:00.040 bill actually goes into effect, which will be a year from now based on what's actually in the
00:05:05.120 legislation. So, yeah, no, I don't think that that will actually happen. And when I hear people like
00:05:10.800 Simone Sanders talking about, you know, betting on the corporation, she's right, because they're going
00:05:17.460 to get their way here, as they almost always do, especially in that state with that particular
00:05:22.020 corporation. And quite frankly, I don't want anything to threaten my ability to enjoy the
00:05:27.500 Ben Kenobi series that will be coming out very shortly on Disney+. I'm really looking forward
00:05:32.340 to that. So, you know, let's hope I don't have to pay an extra dollar a month for that because of
00:05:37.500 Ron DeSantis' attacks on Disney. So, you know, I think ultimately that will happen. As for the
00:05:43.860 don't say gay bill, as an aggressive progressive, I am happy to see that Democrats have adopted a tactic
00:05:50.240 that Republicans have long used. Take an early draft of the law and then paint the entire law
00:05:54.980 and everybody who supports it as that. For example, the Green New Deal. You know, the Republicans
00:06:00.680 found, got a hold of a brainstorming memo from some staffers about maybe banning me. And that was
00:06:07.140 what the Green, I think you and I were debating it at one point. That was what the Green New Deal
00:06:11.400 became in the eyes of most Americans. But Chris, you've got to at least grant, you've got to at least
00:06:16.900 grant. Republicans went after the Green New Deal. Maybe they went after an early draft. Maybe they've
00:06:21.720 changed their mind. The Democrats have changed their mind about some parts of it. But it was
00:06:24.720 always called the Green New Deal. It was to bring back this idea of FDR's major overhaul of the
00:06:29.760 economy. Whereas in Florida, whatever you think of the parental rights and education bill,
00:06:35.040 it doesn't ban the use of the word gay. It's great that the Democrats have adopted this tactic
00:06:40.460 and branded the bill, don't say gay. You're saying it's politically great. Hold on,
00:06:43.820 hold on, acknowledge the skill there. It hasn't been, the Democrats, it's not been their strong
00:06:50.580 point, or at least people other than me. It has not been the strong point of the National Party
00:06:55.080 to take something and say, remember when they said that you weren't even going to let them say this
00:06:59.340 in class? And they branded the bill that, and now they painted it with a brush. It's going to be very
00:07:04.260 hard. You know, not this year. Look, this is a good year for Republicans. If this was two years from
00:07:10.520 now, I don't know that Ron DeSantis would be tacking this hard white. He only won by half a
00:07:15.840 percentage point four years ago. But it's a great year to be a Republican. He's got $100 million in
00:07:21.800 the bank. The Democrats have a messy primary going on down there. Probably going to have Charlie
00:07:27.100 Christ as their nominee. And I don't know where that goes. But given the environment, he's using it
00:07:35.260 to his advantage. So you're saying that, this is an interesting point that I actually haven't heard
00:07:39.120 a lot of people say. You're saying that on the first bill that we're talking about, that Disney
00:07:44.320 take away their self-governance bill that's going to raise their taxes. You're saying it's actually
00:07:49.400 kind of cynical. I don't think it's really going to go into effect. It's just a way to get a lot of
00:07:53.960 headlines. But ultimately, Disney's going to win. Okay, so- You never could go wrong by calling a
00:07:59.100 political attack cynical. It's completely cynical. And that's why it's not taking effect tomorrow.
00:08:04.860 But then, okay. So let's say I even grant you the premise. Then on the point of the don't say
00:08:11.180 gay bill, let's say I even grant your premise that, okay, it's not a totally honest slogan to
00:08:15.360 use for the bill, but it's a good tactic and it's going to be effective. But then what do you make of
00:08:19.020 this, Chris? 60% of Americans broadly support the parental rights and education bill. The majority,
00:08:25.980 not only of Florida Republicans, but of Florida Democrats support the parental rights and education
00:08:31.140 bill. So don't you have to say- But 70% of Americans oppose the don't say gay bill. Remember
00:08:37.020 Frank Luntz? I mean, this is the kind of thing that people, yeah, you call it the parental rights
00:08:42.700 and education bill. People are going to support it. You call it the don't say gay bill. Politically,
00:08:47.940 it's toxic. But I guess you're, so I grant you that point on the names, but when there have been
00:08:52.700 polls, actually, we conducted one of the polls, that when you take away all the names, you don't
00:08:56.620 even name the bill. You just focus on the text of the bill. People support the provisions.
00:09:01.720 Absolutely. Just like the Affordable Care Act, when you call it, people support almost everything in
00:09:06.720 it, unless you call it Obamacare. And then they don't. But the Affordable Care Act won. Ultimately,
00:09:11.860 it did win. So I guess what I'm just asking is, isn't this, isn't opposition to this bill,
00:09:16.280 even if the Democrats have been smart about the sloganeering or whatever,
00:09:19.560 isn't it ultimately a loser for Democrats to be on the side of teaching transgenderism in the
00:09:25.640 classroom and on the side of a big corporation? That is not what's happening here. What's
00:09:30.060 happening in this bill, even now, even in the bill that passed, it makes it illegal for a kid to talk
00:09:37.280 about their weekend with their two parents that might be of the same gender. Well, it only prohibits
00:09:41.900 teachers from saying things. Well, how would the teacher then react when one of the kids in the
00:09:46.260 class say, what does it mean that he has two mommies? I mean, it's like, go ask your parents.
00:09:50.640 Well, Mike, let's be clear. The arc, this is, you're not going to win the argument long term,
00:09:59.840 attacking same sex couples, attacking homosexuals. It's not going to happen.
00:10:05.200 But do you think you're going to win the arc?
00:10:06.420 Over in America. This battle has been won. And while there might be a moment right now based
00:10:11.980 on the political environment for him to attack further the right, to bolster his base so that
00:10:16.500 he might do well in Iowa. I mean, it's so cynical. It's so bad. He's attacking people who he shouldn't
00:10:23.580 be attacking.
00:10:23.860 Let me put the question another way. You've advised Democrat candidates. You're obvious,
00:10:27.840 your head is in this all the time. So you're sitting there with Democrat presidential candidates.
00:10:31.780 That's this issue is going to come up. The issue of Disney pushing woke sexual ideologies and
00:10:38.960 specifically the issue of teachers in kindergarten through third grade class.
00:10:42.300 This is the thing we keep, he keeps going at, he's calling it woke ideology.
00:10:45.720 Disney supported their gay employees. And there are many of them who were offended by this bill.
00:10:50.340 And as a result, as a result, Ron DeSantis is attacking Disney, but will ultimately cost the
00:10:57.360 people of Florida money because now they're going to have to police Disney. They're going to have to
00:11:01.160 assume their bond debt. I'll go, I'll go with all of that. I'll go with all sorts of a parade of
00:11:05.540 horribles. But I've only, by the way, I'm telling you right now, I'll put money on this,
00:11:09.840 invite me back this time next year. This bill will never go into it. Well, okay. Listen,
00:11:15.020 the way they're intended. You might be, you might be right before I let you go. We're over as usual,
00:11:19.260 but it's, but I need to, I need to ask. Last time I saw you, I was in Tennessee. I was getting
00:11:23.980 hot chicken. We were debating with a national legend. I know we, somehow we ended up in a three
00:11:29.940 person debate. You were quoting articles that came out before your mother was born.
00:11:34.540 When I was at Clinton, my father's eye. But I have to, I have to ask you this question. So let's
00:11:38.840 say I grant everything you're saying about the bill. It's not going to go into effect. It's this,
00:11:42.120 that, and the other thing. If you're advising a Democrat candidate today, do you tell them?
00:11:48.320 Democratic candidate. You went to Yale. Use proper English.
00:11:50.520 If you are advising one of those crazy left maniac candidates.
00:11:55.060 And why you didn't use the yes and method to kind of rebut that question. But maybe we'll do that
00:11:59.860 another time. Do, if you're advising one of these candidates, do you tell them lean into the Florida
00:12:05.740 education bill, defend kindergarten teachers talking about this stuff? Or do you tell them
00:12:10.840 this, this is this year, the year of our Lord, 2022. Do you tell them lay off the bill? It's a
00:12:14.740 political. I say, call it the don't say gay bill and lean into it. That scores well and lean into it.
00:12:20.660 Don't let them call it the parental rights and education act or whatever, you know, like,
00:12:24.560 cause that is a different look again, language matters. Frank Luntz is a genius. He's an evil
00:12:29.340 genius, but he's a genius in the way he, you know, the death tax. Oh my God, the death tax,
00:12:35.240 they're going to tax me. I made a hundred thousand dollars in my lifetime and they're going to take it
00:12:38.760 away from my kids. No, it was about people making over $10 million a year, getting a gradual
00:12:43.640 increase. And he called it the death tax.
00:12:45.380 With the Biden inflation, pretty soon your a hundred grand is going to be on paper, $10 million. So we'll
00:12:50.280 have to deal with that. All right, I got to let you go.
00:12:52.580 It's like, it's language matter. Don't say gay as a winner for them.
00:12:57.160 So we, you've made several predictions here. I, we are going to have you back many times. We're
00:13:01.240 going to figure out, look, you might be right. I don't know. We're keeping an open mind. Chris,
00:13:04.820 where can people find you?

00:14:54.580 agree on the substance of the bill, right? Chris is admitting to me that, yeah, okay, the bill doesn't
00:15:01.360 really do all these terrible things Democrats are saying. It doesn't really ban the use of the word
00:15:04.700 gay, but this is a good political strategy, so Democrats should follow it. I don't think the
00:15:09.940 numbers back that up. I don't think the poll numbers back that up. That's not what I'm seeing
00:15:15.000 here, and we'll get an answer in the 2022 midterms. The one thing I'm sure of, though,
00:15:19.920 I think Chris underscores this point, is that Democrats consider this issue of talking about
00:15:26.640 sexual issues and specifically talking about sexual issues with little kids,
00:15:32.440 the Democrats consider that sacred. Jen Psaki, just the other day, was literally crying over
00:15:42.680 the prospect of not transing the kids. The political games and harsh and cruel
00:15:50.260 attempts at laws or laws that we're seeing in some states like Florida, that is not a reflection of
00:15:56.020 the country moving to oppose LGBTQ plus communities. That is not what we see in data, that is not
00:16:03.640 factual, and that is not where things stand. This is a political wedge issue and an attempt to win
00:16:10.080 a culture war, and they're doing that in a way that is harsh and cruel to a community of kids,
00:16:17.520 especially. I'm going to get emotional about this issue because it's horrible, but it's like kids
00:16:26.640 who are bullied, and all these leaders are taking steps to hurt them and hurt their lives and hurt
00:16:34.660 their families, and you look at some of these laws in these states, and it is going after parents who
00:16:39.700 are in loving relationships who have kids. It's completely outrageous, but it is a wedge issue.
00:16:45.980 Sorry, this is an issue that makes me completely crazy, but it is an issue that is a political
00:16:53.140 wedge issue. It is not a reflection of where the country is. This is an issue that makes me
00:16:58.420 completely crazy, is the truest statement that Jen Psaki has ever said. Obviously, she's crazy. The woman
00:17:04.360 is crying over the prospect of not transgendering little kids.
00:17:12.780 This is a sacred issue to the libs. Sometimes when we talk about this, the libs will accuse us of
00:17:22.800 wearing tinfoil hats and being conspiracy theorists, but it's not the case. The libs have been weirdly
00:17:27.380 obsessed with sexualizing kids for at least 100 years now, going back to Wilhelm Reich, going back to
00:17:34.540 leftist intellectuals and theorists who have suggested that we need to acculturate kids in
00:17:42.500 into sexuality in a different way. At an earlier stage, Bernie Sanders, who was almost the Democrat
00:17:48.420 nominee twice, Bernie Sanders wrote weird essays in the 1960s about how we need to sexualize kids and
00:17:54.220 allow kids to explore their sexuality. Now you've got Democrats waging a national fight over the so-called
00:18:00.940 sacred right of a five-year-old to be indoctrinated into weird, creepy sex stuff. This is why we call them
00:18:06.500 groomers because they are obsessed with this issue. It's the most important one to them.
00:18:14.100 They care about race. They care about class, or at least they used to. I actually don't think they
00:18:17.840 care about it as much anymore. But sex is the issue. There was an article in the San Francisco
00:18:24.360 Standard. San Francisco Standard is writing about a tent city of homeless people outside of the civic
00:18:32.920 center in San Francisco. But they're removing the tent city. The liberal officials in San Francisco
00:18:39.220 are removing the tent city. Why is that? Well, they're doing it. I'll just read from the article.
00:18:44.660 City officials are demobilizing a city-sanctioned tent village at Civic Center in preparation for the
00:18:50.840 comeback of pride festivities in June. So the reason they have the tent city in the first place
00:18:57.800 is because, they say, these poor people, these poor people who are in such terrible circumstances,
00:19:04.160 we need to do everything we can to help them. Give them public land. Give them public resources.
00:19:10.560 Don't we let them do drugs. Let them do whatever they want. They can do drugs here. We'll give them
00:19:15.380 needles. We'll do whatever they want. Unless a bunch of gay guys want to dance around the street. And
00:19:20.420 then, sorry, see you guys. Sayonara. We're going to take away your tents. We're going to take away
00:19:24.180 your needles. And we're going to tell you to scram. When those two sacred issues for the left come
00:19:31.220 into conflict, the poor people, the drug addicts on one hand, and then the sexual people on the
00:19:40.780 other, the sexual revolutionaries, the sexual revolutionaries are going to win. And it's a
00:19:45.060 smart bet for the libs. It's a smart bet because sexuality, I've said it a thousand times on this show,
00:19:50.320 sexuality is so important to human nature. But if you can get a handle on that, if you can redefine
00:19:57.300 sexuality, if you can shape sexuality, which the libs have a point here, does begin from a young
00:20:03.300 age. So if you can start to shape that and mold that, you have a much better chance of creating
00:20:08.400 young revolutionaries. This is why the libs are so upset about the bill in Florida. This is why the
00:20:13.880 libs are taking the side of a $200 billion corporation called Disney right now. This is why the libs are doxing
00:20:18.600 a private citizen who runs an anonymous Twitter account called libs of TikTok. Previously anonymous,
00:20:23.780 now we know who she is because the Washington Post spent big resources to find out who she is and to
00:20:29.180 dox her. They're doing it because it threatens a central part of their agenda. That's one of the
00:20:36.960 downsides of living in modernity. But there are upsides, which is why you should get upside. Download
00:20:41.440 the free get upside app right now. Use promo code Knowles. You will get 25 cents per gallon or more
00:20:47.720 off your first fill up. What get upside does is it gives you cash back specifically at the gas tank,
00:20:56.140 which is really, really important because gas is through the roof right now and hitting record highs,
00:21:00.780 but elsewhere too. You could get 30% cash back at grocery stores. You could get cash back at
00:21:07.480 restaurants, at food delivery. It's a wonderful app, especially in these really tough economic times.
00:21:12.920 Go do it today. Otherwise you're throwing money out the window. How do you do it? What's the catch?
00:21:16.760 Catch. There's no catch. There's no catch. Only cash back. You download the free get upside app.
00:21:21.880 You use promo code Knowles and then you cash out. You can cash out to your bank account,
00:21:28.380 to PayPal, to Amazon gift cards, however you want to do it. It's really, really simple.
00:21:33.100 Download that app today. Get upside. Use promo code Knowles. Get 25 cents per gallon or more cash
00:21:38.020 back on your first tank. Use that promo code Knowles. K-N-O-W-L-E-S. What is that code?
00:21:41.660 Just like Beyonce. K-N-O-W-L-E-S. They're still going after libs of TikTok. Libs of TikTok,
00:21:47.620 a very simple account. All the account does is goes onto TikTok, finds public videos of the libs
00:21:53.040 saying and doing weird stuff, and then reposts it to Twitter. The reason they do this is because
00:21:57.620 young people are on TikTok. Older people are on Twitter. Kids are on TikTok. Parents are on Twitter.
00:22:04.520 And so parents have no idea what their kids are seeing all the time. TikTok is a much more
00:22:09.860 addictive social media platform than Twitter is, for instance. The average use time of Twitter per
00:22:15.240 day is between three and six minutes. It might even be lower than that. The average user time spent on
00:22:20.960 TikTok per day is 52 minutes. So it's not even close. And libs of TikTok provides this simple
00:22:26.220 service and says, here's the kind of stuff that you are seeing. And they've expanded a little bit too.
00:22:32.020 So libs of TikTok would go in and find videos from other fora, from lessons, from the classroom,
00:22:39.000 to show you what kids are actually being taught in these schools. To just give you a little taste of
00:22:44.060 the kind of work lives TikTok is doing. You saw it on the show probably a year ago. They went out,
00:22:49.000 and this woman went out, and found a professor at Old Dominion University who was normalizing
00:22:54.280 pedophilia. I use the term minor attracted person or map in the title and throughout the book for
00:23:00.060 multiple reasons. First of all, because I think it's important to use terminology for groups that
00:23:05.700 members of that group want others to use for them. And map advocacy groups like Before You Act
00:23:11.340 have advocated for use of the term map. They've advocated for it primarily because it's less
00:23:18.500 stigmatizing than other terms like pedophile. A lot of people, when they hear the term pedophile,
00:23:24.380 they automatically assume that it means a sex offender. And that isn't true. And it leads to a
00:23:29.460 lot of misconceptions about attractions toward minors. I've definitely heard the idea that you
00:23:35.240 brought up, though, that the use of the term minor attracted person suggests that it's okay to be
00:23:39.800 attracted to children. But using a term that communicates who someone is attracted to doesn't
00:23:45.800 indicate anything about the morality of that attraction. This is the kind of stuff that the
00:23:50.500 Washington Post doesn't want you to see. This is why the libs are trying to shut up libs of TikTok,
00:23:55.500 this Twitter account, because they know that this stuff is not going to play in Peoria.
00:24:02.480 This is why the libs are very upset about the bill in Florida, is because generally speaking,
00:24:08.000 parents have no idea what's being taught in the classroom. It's happening behind their backs. And
00:24:11.600 they want this to occur for their agenda, but they don't want people to see anything about it.
00:24:15.760 It is very telling that when the left attacks the right, the left tries to censor us and tries to
00:24:23.180 intimidate us and puts words in our mouth that we never said. And when the right attacks the left,
00:24:26.760 we just play their own words verbatim. That tells you a whole lot about the political battle in the
00:24:32.380 country. Now, the political operative working for the Washington Post, who doxed libs of TikTok,
00:24:38.120 this gal, Taylor Lorenz, she is trying to make herself into the victim here. She goes out,
00:24:45.180 she reveals this anonymous woman's name, occupation, religion, for some reason,
00:24:51.560 hyperlinks to her physical address. Then the Washington Post deleted that secretly and didn't
00:24:57.460 issue a correction. So they just tried to sweep it under the rug. Then when they were called out on it,
00:25:03.580 they just defended it. This woman now is playing the victim. This woman says, quote,
00:25:08.180 the amount of insane stuff that's happened over the past 24 hours has been unbelievable.
00:25:11.880 It's eye-opening to see how sophisticated and vicious these coordinated attacks have become.
00:25:16.600 I'm grateful to work at a company that takes these issues seriously and is supportive. I'm doing great.
00:25:21.560 Of course she's doing great. She's an extraordinarily protected member of one of the most elite
00:25:26.940 institutions in the country. She's talking about sophisticated and vicious and coordinated attacks
00:25:31.580 because people on Twitter are criticizing her. Meanwhile, she has been working with the second
00:25:36.640 richest man in the world at one of the oldest platforms in America to target a private citizen
00:25:41.620 for no journalistic reason other than to shut this woman up, to intimidate her, to tell people,
00:25:47.280 hey, here's her physical address. Sure would be a shame if something happened to her because she's
00:25:51.980 exposing what the libs actually believe. And amid all of this, the smart Democrat political consultants
00:26:00.360 are trying to flip the narrative. James Carville, he's the guy who talks like a cartoon character
00:26:06.280 from New Orleans. James Carville comes out on television, on MSNBC, and tries to make the argument
00:26:12.920 that the GOP is just weird.
00:26:16.680 Do you think McConnell is right about the risk and how should Democrats approach it, James?
00:26:21.040 Well, old Moscow Mitch is up to his usual tricks. You know, he had quite a few dealings with the
00:26:26.100 Russians. And of course, his party, about a third of them, are pulling for Russia.
00:26:29.480 Yes, he wants people that will be compliant to his worldview, which is tax cuts for the richest
00:26:38.780 people in the world and tax poor people, which I don't think is a very smart idea. But the problem
00:26:45.200 is they are a weird political party. They need to be branded as such. These 26 QAnon people,
00:26:52.940 all right, that's not necessarily the extreme. I mean, these are people that talk about testicle
00:26:57.880 tanning. These are people that, like, go to Hungary for conferences. These are not normal.
00:27:04.060 By and large, a large part of the Republican Party is just out and out weird.
00:27:09.900 James Carville made three claims here, and they're all false. They're all lies. The first one is that
00:27:18.620 the Republicans are colluding with the Russians, right? That's what Moscow Mitch is about. And that's
00:27:23.620 not true. One, the liberals in this country colluded with the Russians for most of the 20th
00:27:27.860 century with the Soviet Union and chilled for the Soviet Union and never apologized for it even
00:27:32.600 once. But even beyond that, Joe Biden took the sanctions off of Russia, gave Russia its pipeline,
00:27:40.700 the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which was the invitation to go invade Ukraine. Joe Biden literally invited
00:27:45.500 Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine. He said if it's just a minor incursion that Biden wouldn't do
00:27:49.420 anything about it. Vladimir Zelensky, the leader of Ukraine, is actually saying that the reason that
00:27:55.740 Russia invaded Ukraine is because of the lifting of those sanctions. So that part is insane. That part
00:28:01.540 is the opposite of what is true. Then James Carville says, the Republicans, they're shilling for the
00:28:08.780 big corporation, give a tax cut to the big corporations. That's not true. The Florida
00:28:12.080 Republicans just voted to raise taxes on the biggest corporation in their state, one of the biggest,
00:28:16.620 most powerful corporations there, the Disney company. And the libs are really furious about that.
00:28:21.740 Simone Sanders is whining and crying and saying, no, no, please. My money is on the big corporations.
00:28:28.580 So that second part is not true either. And then the third part, the GOP is just plain weird.
00:28:33.920 The Democrats are launching a national campaign to trans little kids, to pump little kids full of
00:28:39.680 puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones and chop off their genitals. This is a national issue now,
00:28:44.680 that not just some of the fringe lunatic Democrats are talking about, but that all of the Democrats are
00:28:49.720 talking about, the most mainstream Democrats are talking about it. The Democrats are up in arms at
00:28:54.320 a national level because the voters in Florida, the majority of Republicans and the majority of
00:28:59.000 Democrats voted to stop kindergarten teachers from preaching transgenderism to five-year-olds.
00:29:05.120 And you're going to call the Republicans weird? Have you lost your minds? Have you lost your mind?
00:29:10.500 So what Carville's trying to do, Carville's just a hack. He's a very sophisticated hack and a very
00:29:15.280 successful hack, but he's no political philosopher. This guy is a down and dirty bare knuckle political
00:29:20.840 consultant. And he's trying to get a hold of the narrative for his party because his party,
00:29:27.040 especially looking into 2022, has completely lost the thread. And they are headed, if the polls are to
00:29:32.400 be believed, for electoral disaster. And they can't win for losing. Even on the issues that are kind of
00:29:39.560 gimmies, they keep losing. One of them would be this issue of the masking. I'm taking a flight today.
00:29:45.100 This is going to be my, I'm going up to BU. I'm going to be speaking at Boston University tonight.
00:29:49.280 The topic of my speech is teach the ABCs, not the LGBTs. It should be fine. I think it's sold out,
00:29:55.420 but there's going to be a standby line. So show up there if the libs pull their usual shenanigans
00:29:59.420 and stage a walkout or something. There might be some empty seats. So you can go check that out this
00:30:04.940 evening. I'm very excited because I'm not going to need to wear a mask on the plane.
00:30:08.160 And every time the stewardess turns away, I usually take my mask down. But now I won't
00:30:12.900 even have to pretend. I can throw that silly, filthy cloth in the trash and not have to think
00:30:17.160 about it anymore. And yet the Democrats are fighting to bring the masks back. Joe Biden
00:30:22.540 is appealing the court decision. They got rid of the CDC mask mandate. And now you've got a doctor
00:30:28.320 on MSNBC going even further. She's saying, not only should you wear a mask on the airplanes,
00:30:33.560 but you should bring extra masks and nag everyone around you to put one on too.
00:30:38.160 If people want to stay safe, the best thing they can do, high quality mask and that when
00:30:43.600 possible, carry some extra masks. I know this sounds crazy, but if you tell someone next to
00:30:48.480 you on a plane, pay a 95 and just say, or surgical mask and just say, I've got an elderly mother
00:30:53.540 at home. I've got a child with cancer at home. Will you please do me a favor? Having the people
00:30:58.020 at least closest to you in that row, protecting yourself and them can be the best safety. So carry
00:31:04.120 some extra masks with you, carry some rapid tests with you if you're traveling.
00:31:08.860 Please, please, someone in my row, please nag me to put a mask on. Go ahead and make my day. And you
00:31:17.960 hear this doctor is trying to really pull on the heartstrings. She's encouraging people to,
00:31:24.140 whether it's true or not, say that you've got a sick kid or a sick mother to just try to emotionally
00:31:29.860 manipulate people into wearing the mask. But if someone did that to me, I would say, no,
00:31:34.220 I would not do it because my wearing a filthy piece of cloth on an airplane is in no way going
00:31:40.780 to have any effect whatsoever on this woman's sick kid or sick parent or sick puppy or whatever other
00:31:47.920 heart-wrenching excuse she concocks out of thin air. It won't do anything. If someone said that to
00:31:54.900 you, you could say, you know, I'm so sorry that you're, you've got this sorrow in your life. I'm
00:31:58.880 so sorry that you're going through these difficult things. My putting filthy cloth on my face on this
00:32:04.280 tin can flying through the sky is not going to change anything about your circumstances. I can
00:32:10.600 pray for you. That will be much more effective than wearing this stupid piece of cloth, but I'm not
00:32:15.480 going to indulge your fact-free neurosis one second longer. You see a lot of polls going around now.
00:32:24.300 The Associated Press put out a poll yesterday. They said, the majority of Americans actually
00:32:29.600 support the mask mandate on the public transportation. Oh yes, 52 or 53% support it and
00:32:37.040 127% of statistics are totally fake. And, you know, I just don't believe it.
00:32:43.000 I guess that's what it comes down to. I just don't believe that the majority of Americans,
00:32:47.860 certainly not the majority of people who regularly take airplanes and travel,
00:32:51.820 support the mask mandate. You know why? Because I've seen lots of videos when the announcement
00:32:57.300 came out of people in the air and the captain, the pilot says, you can take your masks off.
00:33:03.960 And I don't hear boos and I don't hear cries. I hear the whole plane cheering.
00:33:10.220 And so you, I know that the ruling class, their, their entire argument these days is don't believe
00:33:17.300 your lying eyes, but I'm sorry. I still do. I still trust my gut a lot more than cooked up
00:33:23.160 statistics and the propaganda being pushed out by the corporate establishment press. I just don't
00:33:28.460 buy it. Can't wait to breathe that sweet air of freedom later. This is not, not a winner for
00:33:33.780 Democrats. You know how I know this? Because one of the candidates for governor of Florida, Nikki
00:33:38.780 Freed, who is so low in the polls, it's almost a joke. Ron DeSantis is running away with the Florida
00:33:47.360 gubernatorial race. But Nikki Freed is, is trying to do anything she can to appeal to Florida voters.
00:33:53.420 And she just, just posted on the internet about how happy she is that she no longer needs to wear
00:33:59.580 the mask. Nikki Freed tweeted out, quote, peace out to the TSA mask mandate, but also peace and
00:34:05.280 respect to others, whether wearing a mask or not. She's sitting there on an airplane without a mask
00:34:09.620 on her face. So she's trying to appeal to, to the common sense. Whatever the AP says, whatever the
00:34:16.580 libs are telling you about their polling, the Democrats in practice don't really believe that
00:34:20.500 people like the mask mandate. That is why they're publicizing how they're not wearing the masks and
00:34:24.760 they respect everybody, but they're really happy that the mandate is gone. It shows you that there's
00:34:29.520 a big gap between reality and the propaganda being pushed out by the Washington Post and, and
00:34:35.060 others. That's, that's all the Democrats have got. The Democrats can try, if they, if they want to
00:34:41.680 win, they can try to be the Republican light. They can try to adopt some of the Republican positions,
00:34:46.000 but that's not really going to work because the Republicans are going to be much better Republicans
00:34:49.320 than the Democrats are going to be. And then they can pull some stunts and try to appeal to the,
00:34:54.060 the absolute lowest passions and desires of the people. This is why the same candidate, Nikki Freed,
00:34:59.380 tweeted out yesterday on 420, the national, national Haitian oregano holiday. She tweeted out
00:35:04.500 a picture of her standing with a bunch of cannabis, holding, holding a leaf in her hand.
00:35:08.780 And she says, as governor, I'll legalize weed. Yeah, I'm not a, I'm not a regular politician.
00:35:16.500 I'm a cool politician. I'm a cool mom. I'll legalize weed. Okay. Well, let's see. Ron DeSantis
00:35:22.920 in Florida gave us a good economy and political rights and they stopped the perverts from transing
00:35:27.220 the kids. And, and he's just, he's done all these great things and he's brought business there and he's,
00:35:31.520 he's kept civil liberties and the traditional way of life. And you are offering me a blunt.
00:35:39.480 Okay. Not a really compelling argument. Shows you how little the Democrats think of their voters,
00:35:45.180 that they think this is a winning message. Now, sometimes when people puff on the old
00:35:49.600 Haitian oregano, they get a little bit hungry. I'm hungry all the time, which is why I love
00:35:52.840 Good Ranchers. Go to goodranchers.com slash Knowles. I have been eating Good Ranchers probably
00:35:59.880 three times a week. I love it. The steaks are phenomenal. The chicken is magnificent. They've

00:37:16.540 we're doing here, which is why when Disney was exposed for actively indoctrinating children into their
00:37:21.360 leftist ideology, the Daily Wire announced that we are investing $100 million into creating a platform
00:37:26.360 for children called DW Kids. Not only are we taking on kids entertainment, we are working
00:37:31.880 around the clock to create content that is purely and simply entertaining. From movies like our
00:37:37.340 upcoming release, Terror on the Prairie with Gina Carano, to comedy shows like Truth Yeller with
00:37:41.480 Adam Carolla, there is no rock staying unturned. And it couldn't be done without your support.

00:37:57.700 more. Joe Biden is underwater. Florida Democrats are way underwater. Democrats around the country are
00:38:17.080 looking ahead to an absolute Republican title wave in 2022 and potentially in 2024, in large part because
00:38:24.920 of this realignment, in large part because nice middle of the road parents who used to vote for
00:38:30.260 Dems are now siding with Republicans. The working class, which used to side with Dems, is increasingly
00:38:35.920 siding with Republicans. You're seeing a shift. You're seeing a realignment, call it whatever you will.
00:38:42.120 And because the Democrat politicians are just not popular. Joe Biden, not making a strong case for
00:38:48.860 himself. Pete Buttigieg, not making a strong case for himself. Nikki Freed in Florida, not making a
00:38:52.400 strong case. And then we've got my favorite, my absolute favorite, Kamala Harris, who just showed up
00:38:59.060 to give a speech to the Space Force. Kamala Harris has very high-level speechwriters at her disposal.
00:39:07.300 Kamala Harris could make the play right now. Joe Biden is old. It's hard to imagine he's going to
00:39:13.520 run for president again. This is her chance to shine. Kamala, what's the best that you've got
00:39:18.000 to inspire Americans to elect you in 2024 or 2028? Space is exciting. It spurs our imaginations.
00:39:28.320 And it forces us to ask big questions. Space, it affects us all. And it connects us all.
00:39:41.540 I think Kamala Harris has been hanging out with Nikki Freed in that greenhouse with all that Peruvian
00:39:48.720 parsley. She does this all the time. I actually have a Kamala Harris bong that I guess is not,
00:39:53.400 unfortunately, it's not at my desk right now. But I'll have to spark it up in order to even have a
00:39:57.740 shot at understanding what she's saying. But from what I can gather, what Kamala Harris is saying is
00:40:02.520 space, man, you know, like you ever think about it, man, like us, but space, you know, man,
00:40:12.860 that's the substance of her speech. And there's actually a serious point to this.
00:40:20.860 The Democrats are talking in platitudes right now and cheap slogans right now because if they
00:40:30.100 actually discuss the substantive political agenda that they've got, they're going to look like creeps
00:40:36.660 and they're going to lose the elections. That's the problem for Democrats. That's why the Democrats
00:40:42.300 are trying to shut up libs of TikTok. If the Democrats and the libs were confident in their message,
00:40:46.960 if they thought that their message was going to win over a majority of the American people,
00:40:50.200 they would love libs of TikTok. I love Media Matters. I love when Media Matters or Right
00:40:55.660 Wing Watch or any of the liberal operative groups clip out parts of my show because then those clips
00:41:00.400 go viral. And I think, man, those are great clips. Man, I was totally right there. Boy,
00:41:04.580 I put that pretty well. I think that's going to resonate. Very often when these left wing operative
00:41:08.860 groups cut out clips of my show to try to get me fired, I retweet them because I think that's
00:41:13.100 good stuff, man. Thanks a lot, publicists. The libs don't do that. The libs try to shut down
00:41:20.240 conservatives who expose what they believe. And so in Kamala Harris's defense, what's she going to
00:41:25.200 say? What's she going to say? She's going to go give a political speech and say, we absolutely must
00:41:29.300 trans the kids. We absolutely need to pump five-year-olds full of cross-sex hormones and
00:41:33.520 puberty blockers. That's our substantive agenda for America. We need to give Vladimir Putin a pipeline so he
00:41:39.160 can invade Ukraine. We need to give a nuclear bomb to Iran. We need to flood the country with
00:41:44.880 millions of illegal aliens. We need to keep your economy shut down. We need to keep you from going
00:41:51.500 to church. We need to, we need to, we need to. Everything that they want to do is unpopular.
00:41:56.040 So truly the best they can muster is, yo, man, you ever think about space? If I'm your governor,
00:42:03.800 I'll legalize weed, kids, hang loose, cowabunga. That's all they've got. And it's pathetic. And I
00:42:09.680 don't think it's working because the American people are a lot smarter than that. If we can see
00:42:14.940 it, if we can see it, people who are listening to this show right now probably pay pretty close
00:42:20.860 attention to politics. You're probably, I'm not just flattering you. You're probably a little bit
00:42:25.260 more on the informed voter side of things. You're probably a little more civically minded,
00:42:30.600 but a lot of people just go about their lives and they don't really have time to pay attention
00:42:33.880 to politics. They don't have a particular interest. And so they believe what they are
00:42:37.780 inundated with from Hollywood and from the corporate establishment news media and what
00:42:44.420 they see on social media, which is now an enforcement wing of the liberal establishment.
00:42:50.580 Google, Facebook, and Twitter control 90% of the flow of information around the internet.
00:42:55.220 So if you're just a casual internet user, what you are seeing is coming through the lens
00:43:01.620 of the left, which is why it's so important that we crack up the left's monopoly on big tech.
00:43:09.340 And that is very possibly going to happen. The update on Twitter, the Musk update for today,
00:43:15.740 because you remember Elon Musk bought a big chunk of Twitter. Then he was offered a board seat,
00:43:20.240 but he turned it down because it would have limited his power. Then he tried to buy Twitter.
00:43:23.180 The corporate board issued a poison pill to try to stop Musk from buying Twitter. So it seemed like
00:43:27.840 it was over then. But now Elon Musk has a backup plan, just like he promised us he did. Elon Musk,
00:43:34.600 a few days ago, tweeted out, love me tender. Love me tender, name of a great Elvis song.
00:43:41.740 A lot of people didn't know what that meant. But I suspected what that meant was that Elon was going
00:43:47.560 to make a tender offer, which is when you go around the board of directors and you go right
00:43:52.640 to the shareholders in Twitter and you say to anyone, it could be to an institutional investor,
00:43:57.520 it could be a retail investor like you or me, goes in and says, hey, I'm willing to offer you 54 bucks
00:44:01.860 and 20 cents per share. You want to sell it to me? And so he doesn't have to deal with the board.
00:44:05.720 Then just yesterday, Elon Musk tweets out, blank is the night.
00:44:09.360 It's referring to tender is the night, a very famous novel and a line from a poem by John Keats.
00:44:17.300 A poem, oddly enough, coincidentally, providentially, intentionally that uses the word Musk in it.
00:44:23.200 So I think it's clear Elon is now going to try to make a tender offer. And it's important,
00:44:30.200 not just because a tender offer would be a way to get around the board and get around the censorship
00:44:35.040 and actually restore some semblance of fairness and freedom to Twitter. But it's important because
00:44:40.780 it shows you the whole political strategy right now. The libs are focusing on a corrupt,
00:44:49.480 small elite to maintain their power and silence the people. And the conservatives are relying on
00:44:55.400 a billionaire to go directly to the people, to go directly to the shareholders, to try to bring back
00:45:00.200 some semblance of democratic politics. You're seeing it in high finance, you're seeing it in technology,
00:45:05.040 you're seeing it around the country. The realignment is real, folks. I'm Michael Knowles.
