00:03:51.860Nevaeh Souza, I met you at the University of Idaho when I was out there with Matt Walsh for TPUSA.
00:03:58.400Nevaeh is the author of Tiny Human, right here, available from our friend Kirk Cameron's Brave
00:04:03.280Books. You get a cool little plushie, too, if you order it the right way. I was just at another TPUSA
00:04:08.680event a couple nights ago in which probably the most combative exchange was with a young woman
00:04:14.960who was defending abortion. And yes. And she said, well, look, we need to defend abortion because
00:04:22.520sometimes women conceive babies and they don't mean to have the baby. And so you can't, how dare
00:04:27.860you force that woman to carry the baby to term? I can't help but notice you are the result of an1.00
00:04:33.680unplanned pregnancy. I am. My mom, she was unmarried. She was fresh out of college. She0.73
00:04:39.880had just landed her first real job. She went to school to be an educator and she went to her
00:04:45.640employer and she kind of explained the situation. They were like, we can't, we can no longer hire
00:04:50.720you in this circumstance. And she came from a really Christian conservative family. And though
00:04:56.240she was raised to be pro-life and she had never considered abortion, she understood the fear in
00:05:01.780that moment that women go through and why they want the situation to just go away because she
00:05:06.500thought about the fact that she has to tell her very Christian conservative family that she was
00:05:10.780unmarried and pregnant and there was just so much there was so much uncertainty and fear there and
00:05:16.480we know that one-third of Gen Z has been aborted due to that fear and that's a fear that's very
00:05:21.000much validated by the current culture and by the abortion industry but I'm very grateful that my
00:05:25.980mother did choose life because 20 years later, here you are 20 years old. Unbelievable. I,
00:05:33.600so I'm at the university of Arkansas and this woman says, uh, you know, we need to be able to
00:05:40.300abort kids if they're, if they're not wanted. And I said, I've, I've plenty of friends who are the0.76
00:05:44.180result of unplanned pregnancies. A lot of people. And I include, I know people who were conceived as
00:05:48.100a result of rape, which is the point, even though that's less than 1% of abortions, uh, that's the
00:05:53.020one they always go to because it seems like the hardest case for conservatives to defend.
00:05:57.200And I asked the young woman, I said, would you look someone in the eye 15 years later,
00:06:02.44020 years old, and say, hey, it would be better if you did not exist. It would be better if someone
00:06:09.080had murdered you. And now you're sitting here. I used you hypothetically the other night in this0.99
00:06:13.640debate, and now you're sitting right here. So I guess the question for someone who's pro-abortion,
00:06:17.340for the woman who has the unplanned pregnancy, who doesn't want the kid, is, okay, would you
00:06:21.800look Nevaeh in the face and say, hey, it'd be better. The world would be a lot better0.89
00:06:25.120if you had been murdered. Well, and it also, it insinuates that if a baby is unplanned,
00:06:32.500that determines their value or that the circumstances determine their value and that
00:06:36.800you are in some way going to hurt your mother. Your existence may have hurt your mother or held
00:06:42.680your mother back when that's just not the case. And I recently did a Dr. Daft debate on abortion
00:06:47.920and one of the ladies that was a pro-lifer, she was conceived in sexual assault. Her mother was1.00
00:06:53.820attacked and she talks about how once she found out about that, she felt so unworthy and it kind
00:07:01.400of sent her life into a spiral. But then she decided she wanted to, you know, like prove
00:07:07.560everyone she was worthy and she got married. She had kids and now her mother and her father
00:07:13.180who are in a really tough situation. They have a wonderful family. There's generations after,
00:07:18.380and they're, you know, grandparents, and there's so much good that can come out of so much
00:07:22.680uncertainty. Of course. And you could see how someone discovering they were the product of
00:07:27.560rape would be, that could really damage them. And yet there is the flip side of that, which is,
00:07:32.900well, yeah, I was conceived in this horrific circumstance that no one asked for. And yet
00:07:38.160my mother still chose life for me. In some ways, I'm even more vigorously wanted and desired than
00:07:45.040a child born in other circumstances. You mentioned that you're 20 years old, which means you might
00:07:50.420have a perspective that I would like some insight on, which is that Gen Z seems crazy0.85
00:07:56.920in understandable ways, but a lot of the craziness seems to come down to sex.0.90
00:08:04.220Yes. Like 30 percent of Gen Z identify as LGBT, LMNOP. And you do see a little a little rise in a touch of misogyny, say, on the right wing side of the young right.
00:08:15.860And then a lot of the Gen Z women are defending like out of the womb infanticide in the Lindsay Clancy case, women really of all ages.
00:08:24.140So it seems like everyone, but especially younger people, have gone sexually insane. Is that is that accurate?0.64
00:08:32.420I think so. I was just talking about this, actually, because we always knew there was this gender divide on the left. You know, the men, they're a little effeminate, and then the women don't respect them, and the women became man-haters, and they were shaming men into feeling like they were victims, and then we have the male loneliness epidemic.
00:08:51.080but the right was supposed to be you know very passionate about biblical marriage and strong
00:08:57.800relationships but now I think we see a lot of that on the right too because women are being told that
00:09:03.760there's no longer any biblically masculine men and I think women we've we've become victims too
00:09:12.980on the right just like the ones on the left when they were saying that men are the problem
00:09:19.020And I think the men as well look at things like the Lindsay Clancy case.0.89
00:09:24.240And the majority of women are not on Lindsay Clancy's side.
00:09:27.740And that's a very important distinction.
00:09:29.780But when you live on social media as a Gen Z-er, it really looks like they are.1.00
00:09:34.880And so I think they look at that and they go, women have lost it.1.00
00:10:07.000and all the women and then the one a little more probably on the beta side that you were alluding1.00
00:10:14.060to earlier man they all wanted to let her off the hook it was just that one Haitian gigajad0.98
00:10:19.940very devout Catholic apparently who who said no uh I'm I'm voting guilty absolute boss by the way0.90
00:10:26.120absolute boss I saw the other jurors he was talking to and I was like oh my goodness yes
00:10:30.960get the man a cigar one of Michael's very nice cigars and a drink we need to get him a box of
00:10:35.900Absolutely. And so I look at that then and I say, well, hold on. It wasn't just like a minority of
00:10:43.020women. All the women on the jury were on Clancy's side. And so is your suggestion then that the
00:10:51.060problem's bad, but it's actually social media is making it seem worse than it is?
00:10:54.780I think so. I think also the minority is just very loud. And even if the majority of women
00:11:00.940have lost it or the majority of men were no longer biblically masculine. There's still so much hope0.83
00:11:07.080for you to find a good spouse and to have that, you know, nuclear American family and that American
00:11:12.320dream. And I think on the right, we're starting to discourage the youth so much. You're never
00:11:17.600going to be able to buy a house. You're never going to find a good biblical spouse. You're0.92
00:11:21.180never going to have that nuclear family and achieve that American dream. And I think it's1.00
00:11:26.200turning Gen Z on the left and the right just into very discouraged and cynical victims almost.0.56
00:11:33.140That's extended a lot to the right very recently. And stories like this just perpetuate that even
00:11:39.900further. And even me as a, like, I'm a Christian conservative young woman. I look at that and I
00:11:44.580go, women have lost their minds. It terrifies me. You almost can't blame the chuds on the right1.00
00:11:50.180because they're just reacting to something, you know, and in a battle, your opponents have a say.0.86
00:11:56.480I do wonder, especially since we're focusing on the pro-life issue and how it spreads out everywhere.
00:12:03.740I wonder if all of these problems really do come down to sex and maybe even specifically abortion.
00:12:09.560I'm reminded of Mother Teresa's speech at the United Nations in which she said that abortion is the greatest threat to peace in the world.
00:12:16.440because if a mother can kill her own kid there's nothing that people cannot do more moral ground
00:12:22.260yes and even there's racial tension and ethnic geographic national tension but sex is so much
00:12:30.160more at the center of human nature than race or nationality or ethnicity or what have you
00:12:36.440so i do wonder if it's just if mother theresa was right and if it's all a kind of sexual craziness
00:12:41.980that comes all the way down to the bond between a mother and a child there's a lot more to say
00:12:46.040first, they'll go to preborn.com slash Knowles, K-N-W-L-E-S. Here's some good news. Through the
00:12:51.120ministry of preborn, more than 50,000 babies have been saved this year alone, and more than 5,100
00:12:55.600people have made commitments to Christ. Those are extraordinary numbers. And the reason this
00:13:00.280ministry works is simple. Here is Dan Steiner, the president of preborn. Because of you, he says,
00:13:05.540we can invite mothers considering abortion into a preborn network clinic to meet their baby. And
00:13:09.700when she has that close encounter of the best kind in her womb, she is 80% more likely to choose
00:13:14.420life. That is the moment you can help provide for another mother. Across the country, Preborn
00:13:18.540Network Clinics are putting the gospel into action, meeting women in incredibly difficult
00:13:22.400circumstances with compassion, practical support, and a free ultrasound that allows a mother to see
00:13:27.020her child. Now, Preborn wants to help rescue 50,000 more babies. You can be part of that.
00:13:32.060Just $28 sponsors an ultrasound and can help save a baby's life. To give, dial pound 250,
00:13:37.260say the keyword baby. That is pound 250, keyword baby, or you can donate securely at preborn.com
00:13:43.420slash Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S. That is preborn.com slash Knowles, K-N-O-W-L-E-S. All gifts are tax
00:13:52.160deductible. I think so. I think that we've, we've worked so hard to create this, like almost this
00:13:58.580desense, we try to desensitize women to even the idea of motherhood, but it really, really boils
00:14:04.900down to we don't value children at all. And I think we don't value the weight of a human life.
00:14:11.340And I think that comes from a lot of just the secular influence because if you don't believe that there's a creator, if you don't believe that everyone's been created with a unique and special purpose and is known and loved by God, everyone's kind of disposable.
00:14:28.660And until we know them and we assume they now have a personhood, we don't assign any moral value to them or worth to them.
00:14:36.960Yeah, pagan societies disposed of children all the time and sacrificed them sometimes explicitly.
00:14:42.980Abortion is more of an implicit sacrifice to the false gods of career and money and all the rest.0.72
00:14:48.080And as we become less Christian, we've sacrificed more babies.0.51
00:14:52.300Now it's to the tune of over a million a year.0.86
00:14:54.160And now we apply that same logic of, well, what's the mother going through that makes it morally justified to kill the unborn?
00:15:01.300We applied that same logic to even things like Lindsay Clancy.
00:15:03.920I think that's totally that's a total pro-life issue. Yeah, because though they're going, I I feel bad for those kids.
00:15:11.480Yes, they are victims. It was horrible what happened.
00:15:14.120She needs to be found not guilty. And she was justified because of other people's actions in the situation and how she felt and what she was going through.
00:15:22.480And in doing that, I know they don't think they are. But in doing that, you've completely minimized what's happened to those children.
00:15:28.600And we've turned the whole discussion into a postpartum discussion.
00:15:48.320Look, if we've accepted abortion on the left's terms, then what the left is arguing is that the feelings and desires of the woman always trump any rights of the supposed child up until the moment of birth, including after birth.
00:16:04.140Even before the Lindsay Clancy case, you had the Virginia governor, Ralph Northam, saying that if a baby was born, survived an abortion, and the mother still didn't want him, they'd have a discussion and determine if the mother wanted to kill the baby or let the baby live.
00:16:14.360So that's an actual example of fourth trimester abortion, as we call it.
00:16:18.340So in that world, if you have legal abortion and you have the left exalting it, of course you're going to take Lindsay Clancy's side.
00:16:25.580Whether she was insane clinically or not, if she desired to kill the kids because their existence was affecting her emotions, her passions, her sense of self, then of course she would be justified.
00:16:37.840The logic is basically inexorable, it seems to me.
00:16:40.320Absolutely. And I think that's a really scary thing, because how far are you going to take this? Because when we first started having this big debate about abortion, it was, well, just in these circumstances, just these exceptions for rape and incest. And then it became, well, just up to six weeks. And then it became Roe v. Wade. And then it became nine months, like we see in Michigan. And what they're trying to do in my state right now, Idaho, with their very vague language of any health concern.
00:17:29.400So before I let you go, you might be the most well-adjusted 20-year-old I've ever met in my life.
00:17:34.700So especially these days. So four groups we're talking about, the men on the right, the women on the right, the men on the left, such as they are, and the women on the left. Four distinct groups with four distinct mania. I'll put you on the spot. What would be your particular advice to each of those groups?
00:17:57.020For, okay, let's start with the ones on the right.
00:18:00.180For the men on the right, I don't want them to become so cynical to think that there's no good women anymore.
00:18:07.020That there's no biblical women who want to be good wives and who want to have kids and who aren't pro-choice and, you know, aren't going to attack your masculinity.
00:18:17.120I want them to know that there are many, many really good and very outspoken Christian and conservative women.
00:18:22.540and we haven't all gone nuts and we all are out there for lindsey clancy and then at least one
00:18:28.700there's at least one at least me and then for the women on the right i don't want us to get so angry
00:18:38.280with what's being done because i mean when you look at the stuff online when i look at lindsey
00:18:42.780clancy i got very upset yeah extremely upset with my own gender i was like what are we doing
00:18:47.400I don't want us to get so angry that we completely turn on each other and start infighting on the right.
00:18:54.080I want us to stay strong in our convictions, but also understand that, you know, we're not alone in that.
00:19:01.700This isn't just a fight we have to fight.
00:19:04.060It's not us against everyone else.1.00
00:19:05.320I love that your advice to the women is calm down.0.97
00:19:08.480You know, I find whenever I'm in a dispute with a woman, nothing improves this situation like telling the woman, hey, lady, calm down.0.98
00:19:15.800But I think that's very good advice.0.98
00:19:18.120You saw the lady juror on the Clancy trial.
00:19:20.980She said, you know, we explained the case to that holdout juror time and time again.
00:19:26.220But he just, this is a verbatim quote, he just couldn't get over the fact that she viciously killed her children.
00:19:58.360You think that they're being soy boys in order to impress the feminist women who they shouldn't want anyway.0.85
00:20:05.340Because I think if you're a leftist, you're in a circle where all the women are saying that if you do this and this and this, that's harmful and toxic.0.95
00:20:13.200So I think they feel like they have to be that way.0.50
00:20:15.760And for the women on the left, I have a lot to say to the women on the left, but I'm going to leave it at.0.93
00:20:27.420Listen to some women on the right.1.00
00:20:29.320Listen to mothers who have families and who know God.
00:20:33.800And even if you are an atheist, leftist woman, I don't understand the complete separation from women who do choose to be mothers and wives because that that's an incredibly one sacrificial, incredible and very powerful choice to make with your life.
00:20:50.720So we need to be we need to be listening to other women who are in those situations and who have things to teach us, because, I mean, that can be a very, very beautiful thing.
00:21:00.740I'm very excited to do that one day and get married and have kids.
00:21:03.620And I know that even though I'm not in that situation right now, I like to listen to the women who are because they have very positive messages about motherhood and, you know, things that relate to women that we don't get everywhere else.
00:21:16.140Like when you look at the Lindsay Clancy thing and you look at the pro-choice side, they talk about how it's enslavement and babies are parasites and how it's going to ruin your life.
00:21:24.120So listen to people who are actually enjoying motherhood and aren't saying that you're just going to go down a postpartum.
00:21:29.600Even I'm very professionally ambitious and I focus on my work life a lot, you know, all the time.
00:21:35.620But there's no, there's no comparison.
00:21:38.400I've gotten to have a lot of cool work experiences.
