The Michael Knowles Show - Michael DEBUNKS Blasphemous TikTok Atheist

00:00:00.000 We have no guest. We have no explanations. We're on the brink of Armageddon, according to some

00:00:05.780 people. We've got red heifers in Israel. We've got comets and no comets, I guess, eclipses and

00:00:12.540 a bunch of Nineveh towns. Nevertheless, all we have for Theology Thursday is some video. Take 0.92

00:00:19.180 it away. God almost certainly does not exist. But if it does, and it is all knowing, meaning it

00:00:25.280 knows everything that ever was. Put a pause here. These libs insist that I respect everybody's

00:00:31.580 preferred pronouns. Even the biggest, hairiest, hulking dude, even if he's wearing men's clothing,

00:00:36.940 he doesn't even need to be wearing a dress. If he says, I'm a woman. Excuse me, it's ma'am. It is ma'am.

00:00:41.740 These libs tell me I am obligated to call him she and her. And yet, when God very clearly

00:00:50.660 describes his preferred pronouns, he and him, this guy refuses to accept them, and he

00:00:56.860 depersonalizes God and refers to God disrespectfully as it. Keep going.

00:01:03.220 Meaning it knows everything that ever was, is, and ever will be, then it is responsible for

00:01:08.080 all of the evil in the universe. Don't worry. I'll explain. No. So if you believe God exists,

00:01:13.540 that means that you believe in a time where humans did not exist because God had not yet created us.

00:01:20.080 At that point in time, an all-knowing God would know for a fact that if it did create humans,

00:01:27.660 they would be evil. Evil in air quotes because morality is actually subjective, but it knew that

00:01:34.060 they would be awful to their planet, awful to other species. Put a pause here. Wow, I love it.

00:01:39.360 The clearest example of human evil is littering. Oh, D.D. Oh, what did he do? Oh.

00:01:45.720 It's pollution. He doesn't say, you know, the murder and the genocide and the cruelty and the

00:01:50.820 betrayal. No, no, no. It's the littering that's the bad thing. You want to know why I pulled you

00:01:55.060 over? Littering. I'm freaking out, man. He obviously has some confused premises here. Even to begin,

00:02:03.720 think about the epistemological pride that one must have to think, huh, I, some guy in the year,

00:02:12.040 the year of our Lord, 2024. I've just discovered the flaw with religion, which is that bad things

00:02:19.100 happen to good people. I've just discovered the flaw with religion, which is that there is such

00:02:24.160 a thing as evil in the world. Oh, wow. Wow, man, that never occurred to me. That never occurred to

00:02:29.560 any of the theologians for all of history, for all of the men who actually dedicated their lives to

00:02:34.460 studying this and who were deeply faithful and shaped the faith. This never occurred to the author

00:02:40.020 of the book of Job, for instance, or the author of the book of Genesis, for that matter. It's never

00:02:43.480 occurred to anybody, right? If I'm this guy and it occurs, I say, oh, you know, God is supposedly all

00:02:48.820 good and all powerful and all knowing, and yet there is evil in the world. What does that mean?

00:02:54.280 Statistically, all the intelligent people ever have believed in God. And I, so is it possible that I

00:03:01.140 am wrong, that I am missing something? No, no, it is the children who are out of touch. Prove me wrong,

00:03:05.840 kids. Awful to other species on their planet, awful to their own species, and arguably most 0.97

00:03:11.440 importantly, awful to God, because they would break its precious little nonsensical rules.

00:03:17.540 But God still... Put a pause here. Nonsensical rules. That's interesting.

00:03:22.020 Thou shalt not commit murder. Would you say that's a nonsensical rule? Probably not. Probably. If this

00:03:27.040 guy's saying there's all this evil, there are all these bad things that we do. Well, then you're

00:03:30.280 acknowledging there are rules and that the rules are sensible, that the rules are logical. So all

00:03:35.920 of a sudden, the God that you're demeaning or attempting to demean as nonsensical and illogical,

00:03:43.000 you're acknowledging is logical. It has quite a lot of sense. Infinite sense. So, which is it?

00:03:49.780 Here's an example to consider. If you knew, not guessed, not hypothesized, not assumed, but you knew

00:03:57.200 undoubtedly, assuredly, 100% for a fact that if you had a child, that child would grow up to be a

00:04:04.720 mass unaliver, and you still decided to have that child, you would be a terrible person.

00:04:12.060 You wouldn't be. I mean, he's confusing so many things. Even going back further,

00:04:15.960 he says that humans are, you know, sort of uniformly evil. That's not true.

00:04:20.440 You disgust me. How can you live with yourself? You sit on a throne of lies. 0.99

00:04:24.760 Human beings are not begotten by God. We are made. We are creatures made in the image and

00:04:30.360 likeness of God. So that's a difference. Kind of like I can have a child. Well, I can't have a

00:04:34.320 child, but my wife can have a child, and I can make a leftist-tears tumbler. In a sense, those are both

00:04:39.280 products that I have something to do with, but one is of me, and the other is an artifact made by me.

00:04:46.680 Now, he then says, if you knew somehow in advance that your baby were going to grow up to be a mass 0.94

00:04:52.460 murderer, you would be a bad person if you didn't murder your baby. That's taking a lot of assumptions, 0.96

00:04:57.420 and that's assuming a consequentialist kind of ethics, a utilitarian style ethics, which I think

00:05:04.160 would be unfounded because you'd be committing murder, which I think this guy already admitted

00:05:09.180 implicitly or explicitly is wrong, right? At least implicitly, he's admitting that murder is wrong,

00:05:14.220 so you would be a very bad person if you did murder your baby. Lots of ethical confusion here

00:05:19.560 in this guy's diatribe. Keep going. There's so much more to say. First, though,

00:05:23.420 go to helixsleep.com slash Knowles. I have loved my Helix mattress for years. It is truly the gift

00:06:19.980 better sleep starts now.

00:06:23.120 So, since God knew it was bringing evil into the universe, and it decided to do it anyway,

00:06:30.040 God is evil. Oh, and if you think the free will excuse gets God out of this one,

00:06:35.580 you're wrong, because free will is incompatible with an all-knowing God. If God is omniscient,

00:06:41.400 then it knows how we're going. Put a pause here. It's just, the only thing that's really astounding

00:06:46.120 about this video is the pride. I guess it's, I don't peruse Reddit nearly enough, because this

00:06:54.320 type of Reddit-tier atheism, I sort of forgot existed. It's one thing to be an atheist. You

00:06:59.720 just can't get yourself to believe in God. I think that speaks to an intellectual and certainly a

00:07:04.180 spiritual defect. To offer these kinds of arguments, what that reveals is not just that

00:07:09.160 you don't believe in God. It reveals that you've never even really taken the question seriously,

00:07:13.480 because you've never read any of the people who can explain these answers to you. You're making

00:07:19.840 arguments that are so dumb at a very elemental level that even the prominent atheists wouldn't 1.00

00:07:26.960 make them. What this man is expressing here is not, you know, I don't believe in God. I've 0.98

00:07:32.340 grappled with the question, and I don't believe in God. He's saying, I haven't even cracked the spine

00:07:37.000 of a book to begin investigating this. Keep going. If God is omniscient, then it knows how we're going

00:07:42.680 to act in advance. Everything that we do has to align with God's foreknowledge, meaning that our

00:07:49.320 free will is actually just an illusion. Either God is all-knowing or we have free will. Both cannot

00:07:56.720 simultaneously be true, and this argument supposes the former over the latter. So, put a pause here.

00:08:03.580 God is outside of time and space, except when he enters into time and space. And so, God being

00:08:08.980 outside of time and space and being all-knowing would not contradict man, who is within time and

00:08:14.360 space, having free will. Because God does not, you know, see the future exactly. He sees all at once.

00:08:23.180 So, there's no contradiction here. The only way that the free will excuse actually works here is if

00:08:28.980 God is not all-knowing. So, if you're willing to admit that your God is not as powerful as you

00:08:34.200 ascribed it to be, then, and only then, will the free will excuse be applicable. But again,

00:08:41.300 this video was about a God that is all-knowing. On that note, I'm going to be over here being good

00:08:46.380 without God, and I hope that you have an absolutely fantastic day. None is good without God, and none

00:08:53.200 is good but God, actually, to quote God. Can I get any man up in this? The point that he makes on God

00:09:00.760 creating mankind, even knowing that man would fall, is the nearest thing to an interesting point that he

00:09:06.280 makes. So, what does that mean? It can mean one of two things. It can mean that God made a mistake,

00:09:11.720 which is not possible, or it can mean that a world of incarnation and atonement is actually better

00:09:20.140 than the world without the fall. It can mean, as Christians sing on Easter,

00:09:26.660 that the fall was actually a happy fault, a happy fault that won for us so great,

00:09:33.100 so glorious, a Redeemer. That's our show. I'm Michael Knowles. This is the Michael Knowles Show. See you tomorrow.
