00:00:30.000 Our most anticipated series to date had its debut last night on X, formerly known as Twitter.
00:00:35.480 Candace Owens premiered her new 10-part original series, Convicting a Murderer,
00:00:39.000 which revisits the criminal murder trial of Stephen Avery,
00:00:41.680 the subject of the popular docuseries Making a Murderer.
00:00:44.460 Hollywood portrayed Stephen Avery as an innocent victim of corrupt law enforcement,
00:00:48.480 but left out mountains of incriminating evidence against him in the creation of Making a Murderer.
00:00:53.240 It was a national sensation, and many people were completely convinced that this man was innocent,
00:00:57.160 but they didn't receive the full story.
00:00:59.300 Candace, doing what she does best, is bringing you the whole truth in convicting a murderer.
00:01:04.880 And can I just say that this is par for the course for Hollywood elitists.
00:01:08.980 This is what they and the media always do.
00:01:11.600 They select information and arrange it in such a way that supports whatever agenda or ideology they want to peddle in the moment.
00:01:18.060 That's why companies such as ours, The Daily Wire, are so important, if I do say so myself,
00:01:23.520 because we have to counter that movement with the truth.
00:01:26.340 Well, that's what Candace's career has been about.
00:01:28.700 That's what she continues to do in convicting a murderer.
00:01:31.160 I've had the pleasure of having my dear friend Candace on the show to get her perspective
00:01:35.000 and hear more about the series and what it's all about.
00:01:37.680 Take a look.
00:01:38.080 So, listen, Candace, you and I have a lot of things in common,
00:01:41.700 but one thing we have in common is when the entire culture is saying one thing,
00:01:46.680 our first instinct is to say, they're probably totally wrong.
00:01:50.320 I just assumed if everybody's saying this guy is innocent, he's got to be guilty as sin.
00:01:55.040 And I know you actually followed it very, very closely.
00:01:57.760 And then you, because you refused to let anything like this just slip through the culture,
00:02:02.680 you said, no, I'm going to prove that this jerk totally did it.
00:02:06.480 Is that basically how this project came about?
00:02:08.960 I will say that I obviously have a fascination with the media's ability to brainwash,
00:02:13.500 not just the masses in general, even us.
00:02:16.080 And so, yes, this project, Convicting a Murderer,
00:02:19.400 which stems from the Netflix series, Smash series, Making a Murderer,
00:02:22.960 where everyone was kind of very anti-police.
00:02:25.380 This was kind of like White Lives Matter.
00:02:27.700 Like before there was Black Lives Matter, there was White Lives Matter.
00:02:31.140 And everyone just sort of paid to the police.
00:02:32.640 And they wanted to believe that, you know, this man who was at one point in his life
00:02:37.780 wrongly convicted of an attempted murder that he did not actually commit.
00:02:40.620 It was before DNA.
00:02:41.940 So they wanted to believe that maybe twice he just keeps getting himself into these circumstances.
00:02:46.620 And Netflix seized on it because they knew that they could just manipulate people's emotions
00:02:51.460 and make them think that a very aggressive person, his entire life story is incredibly
00:02:56.960 aggressive, could potentially be an angel.
00:02:59.220 So it was a fascinating story to look into.
00:03:01.580 I don't want you to give away too many spoilers.
00:03:03.740 The show should be a huge smash because it's giving the answer, the reality to what Netflix
00:03:11.060 was promoting.
00:03:12.060 But, you know, give me a little taste.
00:03:14.200 Like, you know, what did you see?
00:03:15.520 Here's what I will say is don't be afraid to eat some humble pie.
00:03:19.120 If you spoke to Candace Owens when she was 18, pro-choice, liberals are good, Republicans
00:03:24.940 are racist.
00:03:25.960 And it's actually been such an exciting thing.
00:03:28.200 Once you release that egotistical element that makes you think, oh, I had to have had
00:03:31.440 it all right, and you actually learn the truth, it's amazing because then it allows
00:03:34.720 you to further examine your psyche and how your psychology is being impacted and how
00:03:38.240 the media really plays the biggest role in this.
00:03:40.880 And I think that people who follow the story closely, the tens of million people around
00:03:44.860 the world are just going to be shocked at how far the media will go to sell you an idea.
00:03:50.060 The documentary left out specific, crucial pieces of evidence, right?
00:03:54.740 Yeah.
00:03:55.240 Oh, yeah.
00:03:55.820 It's really bad.
00:03:57.160 I mean, and what's I think most shocking is that the documentary makers won an Emmy for
00:04:02.240 this.
00:04:02.860 And it's interesting that the amount of celebrities that got involved with this, if Hollywood's
00:04:07.220 involved, you pretty much know that you're probably being duped and you're being misled.
00:04:10.700 When you realize that, oh, the media often don't tell you the truth, when you realize
00:04:15.640 that maybe in certain elections there have been some shenanigans, maybe it wasn't all
00:04:20.480 totally pristine, when you realize that maybe the law isn't applied evenly to everybody,
00:04:25.640 maybe BLM gets off the hook burning the country down for eight months and some Midwestern
00:04:30.360 granny gets thrown in the clink for January 6th, you think, wow, how much of what I've been
00:04:35.460 told is not true?
00:04:36.340 There's a long way to go.
00:04:37.400 There are a lot of layers to peel back here to realize how much we've been told that isn't
00:04:40.980 true.
00:04:41.340 I think it's going to be mind-blowing for a lot of people.
00:04:43.980 So we're really looking forward to bringing it.
00:04:45.860 Ten full episodes with me featured and tons of other people, including Stephen Avery's
00:04:51.000 family.
00:04:51.420 We wanted to give everybody a fair shake.
00:04:53.040 Always great to have Candace on the show to challenge narratives and expose lies.
