The Michael Knowles Show - WOKE OLYMPICS! What ANNOYING Term Will Michael Knowles CANCEL？

00:00:00.000 Since no one's watching the real Olympics, we're going to have our own Olympics here.

00:00:07.640 This is going to be the woke Olympics. My producers have put together some of the most

00:00:11.480 prominent leftist slogans and ideas that have cropped up in recent years. And we're going

00:00:18.060 determine which one is the worst that we should absolutely banish from society. Let's begin.

00:00:30.000 This Olympic bracket begins with my truth versus birthing person. They're both outrageous, 1.00

00:00:42.040 but I think this one's actually pretty clear. My truth is worse because my truth denies the truth.

00:00:50.580 It's true that birthing person is a denial of women and the fact that men and women are different.

00:00:56.100 Excuse me, it's ma'am. It is ma'am. But my truth is a denial of objective reality and truth itself.

00:01:03.620 So you got to give that one to my truth. Next one, microaggression or white fragility? 0.90

00:01:10.980 This one, I'm going to have to go with white fragility because the idea of a microaggression 1.00

00:01:16.560 is pathetic. The idea that we have so few macroaggressions in this country that we have 0.98

00:01:21.520 to worry about our microaggressions and just pretend to be offended all the time and find reasons to

00:01:25.600 be offended. Excuse me, where's the oriental food aisle? Squirt at these PC babies. 1.00

00:01:30.540 But the idea of white fragility is just a vicious attack on white people, like a specific group of 0.97

00:01:37.500 people on the basis of their race. And it's also, it's so offensive because it's just assumed to be

00:01:47.340 truth. Like there's no way to argue against it because if you in any way object to the concept

00:01:53.700 of white fragility, that is just evidence of your own white fragility, according to these people. 0.98

00:01:58.360 You're so white. 0.98

00:01:59.320 So it just begs the question. It just assumes its own conclusion. So I'm going to go for white fragility. 1.00

00:02:05.520 Now we've got biological male or female versus living wage. This one is easy. I mean, 1.00

00:02:10.880 the concept of a living wage is perfectly legitimate. There are some wages on which people

00:02:14.880 cannot live. Now, one of the arguments the left makes is that we need to pay, you know,

00:02:19.560 jobs that are really intended for teenagers. We should pay them enough to support a family of

00:02:24.280 four. And they're just simply jobs that are not meant to do that. I have a podcast, so.

00:02:29.080 But, you know, in theory, at least, of course, there's such a concept as a living wage. Whereas

00:02:34.060 biological male or biological female, those phrases need to be banished from society because 0.96

00:02:38.980 they imply that there is some other kind of male. You know, there's the biological male,

00:02:43.440 there's the spiritual male, there's the psychological, but there isn't. There's just men and women.

00:02:46.700 Okay. That's the way it is. I'm a guy. And it drives, drives me crazy because it's very often

00:02:50.940 conservatives who use these phrases because they want, they think they're being very clever and

00:02:54.660 they want to say, well, I'm not, I won't call Bruce Jenner a man because that's too offensive,

00:02:59.040 but I won't call him a woman because he's obviously not a woman. So I'll call him a biological 0.93

00:03:03.780 male. No, he's just a man. He's just a dude. Yeah, baby. Okay. Biological male. There we go.

00:03:10.540 Okay. Cultural appropriation or white privilege. I guess we're going to, theoretically, white people 0.67

00:03:18.380 could have privilege. Right now, that is not the case. Right now, as a matter of law and society,

00:03:23.020 white people are actually specifically disadvantaged in university education, in hiring,

00:03:28.180 and white people are the only group that you're permitted to and actually encouraged to vilify.

00:03:34.080 is certainly not true for any other racial group. But theoretically, white people could have

00:03:39.560 privilege, right? There have been plenty of other social organizations where, you know,

00:03:43.960 white people get certain privileges compared to other groups. Whereas cultural appropriation is

00:03:47.920 just nonsense. Because what, what's the alternative to cultural appropriation? Cultural appropriation is

00:03:53.820 when you, you know, take on some nice aspects of another culture. But the opposite of that is just

00:03:59.760 ignoring other cultures, but that's called erasure. So it's, it's another one where anything you do,

00:04:04.540 you're damned if you do, and you're damned if you're done, if you don't. If you eat the taco

00:04:07.440 bowl in Trump Tower, that's cultural appropriation. If you ignore Cinco de Mayo, that's erasure.

00:04:11.720 My name is Jennifer Lopez, and I like tacos and burritos. So cultural appropriation is getting that

00:04:17.480 one. Climate denier or undocumented immigrant? Oh, that's a really tough one. That's a really tough

00:04:24.360 one. Because climate denier, as if anyone denies that there is a climate, but what it

00:04:29.580 suggests is that if you don't think that the sun monster is going to kill us all in nine or 10

00:04:34.720 years, whatever AOC says it is this week, that you are similar to a Holocaust denier. That's why

00:04:40.180 they use that term denier is to, to suggest that if you in any way don't think that, that we're all

00:04:44.720 going to bake and the world is going to end within a decade, that, that you're basically a Nazi. 0.96

00:04:49.100 Whereas undocumented immigrant is so dishonest. I mean, when we're referring to undocumented 1.00

00:04:55.740 immigrants, I mean, you know, the climate denier is obviously dishonest too, but, but undocumented

00:05:00.220 immigrant is dishonest in a subtler way because what it's referring to is illegal aliens, foreign

00:05:06.340 nationals who don't belong in this country. But an undocumented immigrant, maybe they do belong, 1.00

00:05:10.340 they're immigrants. Maybe they just belong in this country. They just need to get some documents. 1.00

00:05:13.460 Necesito un bueno worker. Tu es fuerte. Come on. You know, it's like undocumented American is 1.00

00:05:18.960 sometimes the even crazier term that's used. I'm going to go with actually undocumented immigrant

00:05:24.100 here. It needs to be banished because climate denier is so preposterous and it's just not

00:05:28.640 catching on. People actually don't care about the sun monster scaries. Whereas the undocumented 1.00

00:05:34.300 immigrant stuff actually has kind of worked and it poses a much graver threat to our political order 1.00

00:05:39.760 than the climate stuff, which hasn't really taken hold yet, despite the best attempts of, of lunatics

00:05:46.400 going all the way back to the 1970s. You know, remember Paul Ehrlich wrote the population bomb. He said

00:05:51.160 within 10 years, there's going to be mass starvation and that's why we need compulsory

00:05:54.340 abortion and sterilization. And then 50 years later, the world population doubled and we're

00:05:58.780 all fatter than ever. Malnutrition is at an all-time low. So those guys are just a joke,

00:06:02.500 basically. Whereas the immigration people have actually done a pretty good job at affecting

00:06:05.760 their agenda. Okay. Black bodies versus economic justice. This is easy. Economic justice also is a 1.00

00:06:13.680 perfectly legitimate concept in theory. The way that it's used by the left is usually the opposite of

00:06:19.280 its meaning. It refers to injustice where you take money from people and you give it to other people

00:06:23.340 for, for not very good reasons. But black bodies is the most offensive one. This has been promoted by 1.00

00:06:29.560 this very overrated leftist writer, Ta-Nehisi Coates. He's a darling of white liberals. And Ta-Nehisi

00:06:35.060 Coates, who is a black guy, but he, he almost exclusively refers to black bodies. 0.99

00:06:40.400 You are black, Stanley! 1.00

00:06:41.960 Instead of black people. As if black people don't have souls, right? They're just bodies. There are other 1.00

00:06:46.280 humans. They have souls. But for some reason, according to Ta-Nehisi Coates, black people are

00:06:49.720 just meat puppets without souls. Very offensive stuff. And from a preposterous understanding of 0.99

00:06:54.800 human nature. So boom, getting that one. Next one, the 1% or anti-science. I don't mind the 1% 0.83

00:07:00.880 necessarily. I mean, the way Wall Street, Occupy Wall Street used it was kind of silly, but it just

00:07:05.640 refers to huge disparities of power in a society. And it is, right now we're living in a proto-oligarchy. 0.96

00:07:12.600 I mean, a small handful of people have most of the money and all of the power. I'm thinking of

00:07:17.300 the big tech billionaires and the people who facilitate their reign in government and the

00:07:21.700 other institutions. So that's sort of fun. Whereas anti-science is the alternative. I mean,

00:07:26.480 that's just silly. It's anti-knowledge, right? Science just refers to knowledge. Now, you know,

00:07:33.260 over the time it's come to signify this very narrow materialist sort of understanding of things

00:07:39.040 and material inquiry. But it's funny too, because now if you say that a baby's a baby and a man's

00:07:44.480 not a woman, you're called anti-science. So anti-science, that's the one we're going to go 1.00

00:07:47.920 with. And then we've got cisgender. Cisgender refers to men who know that they're men and women

00:07:54.960 who know that they're women. And reproductive rights, which refers to the right not to reproduce. 0.99

00:08:03.820 The right, or the right, you have already reproduced when you're pregnant, but then the right to 1.00

00:08:07.040 kill the process of, you know, the product of reproduction, namely a human baby.

00:08:12.140 I guess my thoughts on abortion are, you know, let's just all have a good time.

00:08:16.420 There's reproductive rights. I mean, that just refers to killing babies and it's so hideous. 1.00

00:08:23.780 True, man, reproductive rights. I think cisgender is the crazier one. Obviously killing babies is a 1.00

00:08:29.700 bigger problem, but at least you're referring to reproduction, even if you're talking about

00:08:34.800 undermining reproduction and doing the opposite of reproduction. Whereas cisgender, it's just 1.00

00:08:38.920 nonsense. I mean, cis is not a thing because the implication of cis is that it's perfectly normal 0.66

00:08:45.660 to be a man who thinks he's a woman, right? Trans and cis, just whatever, it's whatever you are. 0.61

00:08:49.660 And the idea that gender is somehow a legitimate category. So, all right, cisgender, that's the one 0.75

00:08:54.220 that's got to go. Okay, we've now understood all of the terms. Let's see. Going back to the top,

00:08:59.280 my truth versus white fragility. So my truth is generally a denial of the truth, whereas white 0.98

00:09:09.440 fragility is this attack on white people. But I do think if we had a greater respect for the truth,

00:09:18.320 I mean, you'll remember there was a memo put out by the Smithsonian Institution that said that if you

00:09:22.300 refer to objective reality or like truth and, you know, reasoning, that that's actually a white dog 0.61

00:09:28.300 whistle. So I think actually if we recognized that there is truth and the truth is not bigoted,

00:09:34.420 but it's actually open to all of us if we use our faculties of reason, I think that all this

00:09:37.840 anti-white stuff would go away. So I'm giving that one to my truth. Biological male or female

00:09:42.980 versus cultural appropriation. That's good. It's going to have to go to biological male or female.

00:09:47.520 That's much more offensive to reality. Undocumented immigrant versus black bodies. 1.00

00:09:53.860 Hmm. I think black bodies is more offensive because it's ironic. Right now there are two 1.00

00:10:01.080 heretical views of human nature that the left is simultaneously pushing. One is the trans view. 0.61

00:10:05.460 It's called Gnostic dualism. That's the older term for it. It's an old heresy that says your body has

00:10:09.600 nothing to do with who you really are. So I look like a man, but I'm actually a woman if I say so.

00:10:13.840 It's the Bruce Jenner thing. Whereas they'll also say that black people are just bodies,

00:10:18.760 that they don't have a soul. Not only do their bodies have something to do with who they are, 0.98

00:10:22.420 but their bodies are entirely who they are. So these two, the materialist and the Gnostic view

00:10:27.620 of human nature, and they're contradictory, but they both attack the actual view, which is called

00:10:31.920 hylomorphism, which is that your body, soul, and spirit. Anyway, a long way of saying black bodies is

00:10:36.440 the more dangerous one to a political order. Anti-science or cisgender. Hmm. Anti-science is worse. 0.98

00:10:44.940 Cisgender is a nonsense. I mean, it's just like a silly nonsense, but anti-science is really nefarious 0.99

00:10:50.360 because anti-science is presuming that objective reality, like truth, now can only be known in this

00:10:59.300 very narrow way. Now, obviously we know there are plenty of things that are not susceptible to this

00:11:02.560 modern scientific method, like loves, dreams, hopes, joys, the eternal moral order in some ways,

00:11:08.820 though it's complicated. These things that are metaphysical don't particularly lend themselves to

00:11:14.180 the scientific method. So by saying that, you know, all of truth is just contained within modern

00:11:20.700 science, you're just kicking out basically everything that matters to anybody. So that's worse

00:11:26.420 than the stupid nonsense about gender. All right, my truth versus biological male or female. 1.00

00:11:30.860 My truth is going to be much more dangerous. And then black bodies versus anti-science. 1.00

00:11:36.820 Anti-science is going to be much more dangerous. Interesting how this really, you know, with all

00:11:41.560 these kind of crazy words, ultimately what you're coming down to is just, is there truth or is there

00:11:46.180 not truth? You can't handle the truth. And so now the final battle is my truth versus anti-science.

00:11:52.980 Which one do we need to kick out? Hmm. My truth. This is my truth. This is your anti-science.

00:12:02.660 The worst one is anti-science. It's worse than my truth. And here's why. They're both a denial of

00:12:07.780 the truth. But my truth, what people mean to say is that we can maybe know things about the physical

00:12:14.300 world. Maybe, maybe not. But we can never know anything about morality, about how we ought to live,

00:12:20.140 about what we're here for, about our, our true identities. We can never know about that

00:12:23.760 because that's subjective. And the only things we can know for certain are like the physical world.

00:12:28.060 But that's not true. You, you actually can know what you're here for. You actually can know things

00:12:31.280 about the medical world or about the metaphysical world. You actually can know the existence of God.

00:12:35.620 You can, you can know the existence of God with certainty from the natural world. You can know these

00:12:39.960 things. And we've forgotten that because our philosophy and our theology are totally atrophied.

00:12:44.400 Science is the handmaiden of philosophy and philosophy is the handmaiden of theology. 0.97

00:12:47.860 So I think ultimately what that derives from is this stupid, modern, narrow idea of, of science, 0.94

00:12:57.700 capital S trademark over the E. And so if you can get back to, if you can recover a serious 0.96

00:13:03.200 understanding of what science is and the role of physical inquiry compared to the broader scope

00:13:08.740 of human knowledge, then I think you could solve your other problems. I'm giving it to,

00:13:12.840 especially after this crazy COVID, anti-science. That's it. That's the winner.

00:13:18.280 It's the winner of the woke Olympics. Congratulations. That's the stupidest phrase,

00:13:23.920 the greatest danger to our society. The world. 1.00

00:13:29.360 And the thing that we've got to kick out. Join me next time. I hope this was more entertaining

00:13:34.680 than the real Olympics. In fact, I'm sure that it was. And I bet it's going to get better ratings

00:13:37.860 too. Let's see you next time.
