Summary

Two Liberal operatives planted a bunch of buttons at the Conservative conference in order to smear the Tories as mega-Republicans. They got caught and now they are in hot water with the Liberal Party of Canada. Is this just part of a larger smear campaign to delegitimize the Conservatives?

00:02:35.240 So these people are confirmed to be Liberal Party campaigners. These aren't just some rogue staffers
00:02:41.400 work for some backbench MP and they were trying to pull off some big op and they got made fools of

00:02:52.440 in Mark Carney's riding of Nepean or Pierre Polly's riding of Carleton. I don't know. But when they said

00:03:05.820 may have been part of an overall Liberal strategy to smear the Conservatives? Because that's kind of

00:03:39.640 a review of the matter and that the leader Mark Carney had made it clear this does not fit his

00:03:52.260 by Carney in this campaign? I've noticed it being very hysterical and anti-American for the most
00:03:57.500 part. I know we're Canadians and that we should support Canada, but I have never appreciated the

00:05:52.060 that Adam Zeevo had put up, great conservative campaigner out there who campaigns against safe
00:05:56.500 supply around Canada. So he sums up the story here saying, two Liberal staffers made fake Trump-style
00:06:03.700 buttons and planted them at a Conservative conference last week. They were exposed after they discussed
00:06:08.840 the plot at an Ottawa bar and were overheard by a CBC reporter. Misleading the public this way is
00:06:14.560 deplorable and inexcusable. And then I just want to jump up to this other post that he made about it
00:06:19.920 because it's very telling about the hardcore liberal in Canadian politics right now. So he starts
00:06:27.240 commenting on what happened on Reddit when some people started posting about the story on subreddits
00:06:33.740 that are heavily, heavily stacked with a lot of Canadian left-wing progressives. So Adam Zeevo says,

00:06:45.560 Canada politics, and on guard for thee. Where users are claiming that the reporting is false and
00:06:51.580 unsubstantiated. Fascinating behavior from people who normally condemn election disinformation.
00:06:57.920 But they're just following the lead of Mark Carney, who, like his predecessor Justin Trudeau,
00:07:03.940 will basically say you can't believe everything published in the Globe and Mail as soon as the Globe
00:07:08.940 and Mail, a very liberal paper, reports something that they don't like. There's a pattern of this in
00:07:14.660 liberal circles that if even mainstream news reporting goes against them, it suddenly becomes
00:07:20.500 fake news when they are the same ones who attack conservatives when the same legacy media papers
00:07:26.180 put out actual smear stories about conservatives. Guilt by association, innuendo nonsense. If you don't
00:07:32.740 like that story and you're a conservative, you're just some sort of right-wing troll. But the CBC puts out
