Summary

Justin Trudeau and Doug Ford have a new car manufacturing plant coming to Ontario, and it's going to create a lot of jobs, but it's a fake plant. It's another example of how much money the government is spending on fake jobs, fake plants, fake infrastructure, fake cars, and fake infrastructure projects. We need to stop subsidizing everything that doesn't make sense.

00:00:00.520 Easily one of the worst aspects of Justin Trudeau's Canada these days is that you cannot succeed on your own.
00:00:06.820 You are just basically not actually allowed to succeed in the economy these days without the government giving you some special tax credit, regulatory waiver, or especially a subsidy.
00:00:18.000 And now we're all supposed to be just blown away at the fact that Justin Trudeau and Doug Ford attracted a new Honda plant to Ontario, which is going to build EV vehicles that nobody wants.
00:00:28.740 Nobody wants these vehicles. Let's stop pretending that anyone actually is buying these cars.
00:00:34.080 Yes, some people will because we'll give them a massive tax credit to do so, but nobody is actually demanding the cars in an organic way.
00:00:42.220 And even these jobs, these battery plants we build, this car manufacturing plant, it's fake. It's entirely fake.
00:00:50.420 Nobody actually had a market reason to establish these plants here to build cars.
00:00:56.100 We are giving them taxpayer money in order for them to actually come and bring this plant here.
00:01:01.440 We're basically paying Honda money to fake an economy.
00:01:07.020 Basically, we are having the circus come to town, and they're going to do a lot of economic things.
00:01:11.900 At the same time, Justin Trudeau stole some of your money to give it to them so that they can build cars at not an economically efficient rate.
00:01:18.660 And within five years, you're going to have a lot of people say, well, you can't cut the Honda subsidies.
00:01:24.000 Think about all the fake jobs that they create.
00:01:26.340 Think about all the people who like 30% of their salary is paid for by you to build cars that nobody wants unless the government gives you like a 50% tax credit to buy it.
00:01:38.360 It's just a clown show in Canada right now with Justin Trudeau.
00:01:42.780 And yes, I did put out a jab to Doug Ford because Doug Ford is a progressive conservative premier.
00:01:49.260 He is progressive first, and he is kind of conservative at the very end of the day, like the 1130 p.m. at night.
00:01:56.920 For 30 minutes a day, he will be a little bit conservative.
00:02:00.080 Anyway, if you live in Ontario, please vote for the new blue party.
00:02:03.520 It's the only way of, one, potentially getting some rational people in the legislature.
00:02:07.640 There's some good PCMPs, MPPs, but for the most part, they're just like, you know, blue liberals.
00:02:13.780 Anyways, but before I get into this clip of Justin Trudeau, I just want to plug the fact that I, Wyatt Claypool, am running for the conservative federal nomination for Calgary Signal Hill.
00:02:22.760 It's on the west side of the city, so going straight west from the downtown core.
00:02:26.520 This is where that riding is.
00:02:27.660 If you live in this riding by a federal conservative party membership, go through my website in the description below.
00:02:32.780 WyattClaypool.com, go purchase a membership, donate to the campaign if you want.
00:02:37.080 We need actual conservative people occupying these strong conservative seats.
00:02:41.160 I'm literally running against like 14 other people.
00:02:43.400 A lot of them don't live in the riding, or they are extremely liberal, and they would have run liberal if this riding had a better chance for the liberals to win.
00:02:50.880 We have people who were super pro-lockdown.
00:02:53.380 I mean, like they went to Hawaii during the lockdowns, only apologized for the Hawaii trip, not for crushing people's small businesses.
00:02:59.660 And then after they came back from Hawaii, they would then attack other people for protesting the lockdowns because they can't purchase a plane ticket to go somewhere like Hawaii during the draconian, like, crackdown on freedoms during COVID.
00:03:12.660 It's insane.
00:03:13.420 And those same people even voted against conscience rights for doctors.
00:03:16.480 But don't worry.
00:03:17.080 They're super against MAID, as they have now said.
00:03:19.860 Whatever.
00:03:20.400 Bit of a rant video today.
00:03:22.020 Anyways, here is a video of Justin Trudeau visiting some new plant or whatever, talking about all the business he's bringing to Canada.
00:03:28.200 Canada is and should be seen as one of those places that if you're buying something that was made in Canada or created in Canada or invented in Canada or whatever, anywhere in the world, you should be able to say, okay, if there's a maple leaf on it, if it was made in Canada, I know that it was...
00:03:46.240 Government subsidized.
00:03:47.500 It was taxpayer subsidized.
00:03:48.920 I'll finish your sentence for you, Justin.
00:03:51.100 Done well.
00:03:51.980 Done well.
00:03:52.640 Oh, I'm sorry.
00:03:53.220 I didn't do this.
00:03:53.880 You paid well the workers.
00:03:55.600 It's paid well because they're subsidized.
00:03:58.200 It's environmentally responsible.
00:03:59.620 It's probably done in partnership with Indigenous peoples or at least in respect.
00:04:02.920 Like, that's a brand.
00:04:04.300 That was a really weird thing to throw in.
00:04:05.940 It's probably done with the help of Indigenous peoples.
00:04:08.400 Like, we're in like a car manufacturing plant.
00:04:11.220 I don't know how that actually fits in here.
00:04:13.260 Like, yes, some of the workers are probably Indigenous, but that's kind of like condescending that this is a project that has been touched by Indigenous people.
00:04:20.860 How about just call them Canadians because that's what they are, and it's condescending to always cut them out of what it is to be Canadian and always, like, severing them off and only talking about them as, like, an other group out there.
00:04:32.720 That as people around the world, customers and consumers around the world are looking at, okay, I want to be reliable in what I'm buying.
00:04:38.960 I want to be thoughtful about what I'm doing.
00:04:40.860 People should feel that if you're buying something in Canada, you want them to feel that way.
00:04:45.580 They don't.
00:04:46.140 That's why our manufacturing sector, our oil and gas sector, our mining sector has either barely grown over the past 10 years or it's actually shrank.
00:04:54.960 This guy's a complete joke of a person.
00:04:57.380 No, nobody's thinking of Canada as a more reliable place because in order to do reliable business in Canada, you need government support.
00:05:04.620 And unless you know how to get that, you're not going to set up shop here.
00:05:08.520 And so we make overpriced products that basically just allows the Liberals to brand something as a job they created because they gave the money to the project.
00:05:16.360 At the same time, they're taxing everyone so much so that if you actually want to do something on your own, start your own business, you can't.
00:05:24.440 That's a niche we should own that is a good brand that people are comfortable, like buying Italian shoes or Japanese electronics.
00:05:32.240 You know, whatever you buy from Canada, it should be OK.
00:05:34.680 Yeah, no, this is going to be good quality.
00:05:36.640 Well, dude, it's been like eight years and you haven't gotten it done.
00:05:40.320 I don't know why now we're all supposed to be like, wow, that's a really good idea, Justin, that we should be the country where everyone thinks of quality manufactured goods.
00:05:50.300 Well, maybe we could have done that if you cut taxes, made it easier to do manufacturing here.
00:05:54.900 You didn't undermine people's wages by importing 500,000 new permanent residents per year plus temporary foreign workers, in which makes it so that we value cheap labor ahead of actual quality skilled labor.
00:06:10.000 And that's the problem.
00:06:10.860 A lot of new people coming to Canada and a lot of the time new immigrants are the ones who have been most abused by the immigration system.
00:06:17.820 They have been lied to, told that this is a land of opportunity.
00:06:20.840 It's a wide open space.
00:06:22.700 Of course you could buy a house here.
00:06:24.200 It's also cheap and you get here and there's no houses.
00:06:27.480 The jobs suck.
00:06:28.580 And the people who are citizens here who grew up here are now having to fight for minimum wage jobs because that job has about 30 or 40 people applying.
00:06:36.620 Go look at the videos of like Earl's one waiter job and there's 70 people out the door trying to apply for that job.
00:06:42.700 Do you think the person who's going to get hired is going to get paid well?
00:06:45.880 I'm all for the free market.
00:06:47.180 But there is a difference between people actually competing fairly in a market for a job at a wage that is competitive and just that there's 100 people per job, which means that is a pure seller's market.
00:06:59.900 That whatever the person wants to sell a job at or hire someone at is what they get because there's way too few jobs going around.
00:07:07.320 So you kind of got to accept it.
00:07:09.100 A free market requires some level of coherency that when you enter a country like Canada, if you're going to have it be open borders, that you can't immediately get on social assistance, that you can't immediately apply for welfare and EI.
00:07:22.500 That's the problem.
00:07:23.520 There's way too many incentives to showing up here.
00:07:25.860 You show up here, you realize there's no jobs.
00:07:27.640 The incentives, the subsidies and the welfare and EI that you get even as a temporary foreign worker isn't even that good.
00:07:35.060 And so we're all sitting around paying way too much for housing, getting paid way too little for work.
00:07:40.040 And it's because the government wants to get artificial growth.
00:07:43.460 We want GDP to go up.
00:07:45.780 GDP per capita has been going down.
00:07:47.420 But because we want to say the economy is growing, we just import a bunch of people.
00:07:51.960 And in some abstract sense, those people come with some wealth to them.
00:07:55.540 They create some small level of productivity.
00:07:58.420 So we have our GDP grow up.
00:08:00.560 At the same time, our standard of living is plummeting.
00:08:03.460 And this whole blanket rezoning thing they're trying to do in every city in Canada, especially here in Calgary, it's pathetic.
00:08:09.580 It's saying that, well, we can make your house cheaper or homes cheaper by taking the land that maybe one house used to be built on and we'll cut it up into four houses.
00:08:19.160 So rather than paying $850,000 for a whole house, you will pay $500,000 for a quarter of a house.
00:08:25.720 And you don't even get a garage and you can't park on the street because this is areas only allocated for three parking spots.
00:08:31.940 And you weren't one of the people who got the permit.
00:08:35.100 It's so just depressing being in Canada.
00:08:38.220 It's a country in a sluggish decline.
00:08:41.340 We're not even doing a hot-blooded decline.
00:08:43.400 It's just a kind of, you know, turn the lights out, you know, go home, just sort of like watch a show on Netflix, go to sleep, and know that everything's going to be a little bit worse tomorrow.
00:08:55.020 But not so much so that a lot of people are going to notice.
00:08:57.920 The good thing is at least a lot of people are noticing.
00:09:00.840 That's why we have polls where the Conservatives are up on the Liberals by 19 or 20 points.
00:09:05.420 The Ecos poll showing the Millennium 11, that's not real.
00:09:09.040 The Conservatives are going to smash the Liberals this next election.
00:09:12.720 And the Conservatives should be making deep reforms.
00:09:16.180 Taxes need to go down.
00:09:17.580 Immigration levels need to be capped.
00:09:19.260 We need to be able to actually make it so that people want to work here for once.
00:09:22.540 Capital gains has to go back down.
00:09:24.620 Regulations need to be cut.
00:09:26.040 This is just a country where you have to interact with government officials way too often to make it worth living here.
00:09:32.120 Anyways, that should be it for me today, guys.
00:09:35.060 Again, I'm Wyatt Claiborne.
00:09:36.200 I'm running for the Calgary Signal Hill Conservative Party nomination by membership if you live in this part of the city.
00:09:41.920 And also, you can donate to the TNT Legal Fund, also linked in the description below at the Give, Send, Go link.
00:09:47.820 I also have the TNT Telegram group linked there.
00:09:51.520 Sometimes you don't get shown our videos right away on YouTube, and they don't send you notifications when we put out new stuff.
00:09:58.240 If you join the Telegram group, we pretty much post everything that we upload on Twitter there as soon as it gets posted.
00:10:04.800 And then some other stuff that other people at TNT work on at other channels or other websites also gets posted there.
00:10:11.580 It's not too much.
00:10:12.360 It's not going to be spam or anything like that.
00:10:13.920 But it guarantees that you actually get to see when we post new stuff and you're not relying on the algorithm to pop it up in your suggestions and whatnot.
00:10:23.080 But anyways, that should be it for me today, guys.
00:10:26.200 Have a good one.
