Summary

Pierre-Olivier Polyvie Pouliot, Conservative Party Leader and Prime Minister of Canada, refuses to condemn the far-right group Jim Jones and the Conspiracy Theories. Why does he do that? And why does the legacy media get so angry at him for it?

00:00:00.440 Easily one of my favorite things to watch these days, and probably one of your favorite things to watch,
00:00:05.540 is whenever legacy media journalists get befuddled and confused
00:00:09.140 whenever Conservative Party leader Pierre Paliyev just doesn't take part in their stupid media games.
00:00:14.400 On top of getting just massive financial subsidies from the government,
00:00:18.760 a lot of media outlets got the subsidy of fake credibility.
00:00:23.000 The Liberal government and a lot of politicians acted like these people were the big truth-tellers of Canadian politics.
00:00:29.000 They were the neutral arbiters of what matters and what doesn't matter,
00:00:32.860 what's offensive and what's not offensive, what's in balance for Canadian politics and what's out of balance,
00:00:37.480 that a lot of these people end up getting this outsized amount of power,
00:00:41.220 despite the fact that nobody watches their shows.
00:00:43.500 I guarantee more people might watch this video than watch a CBC broadcast,
00:00:48.480 which is mandated to be on every single news channel,
00:00:51.340 and they upload it to YouTube and other video platforms.
00:00:54.440 Nobody watches these people.
00:00:55.740 It's hilarious how little people watch these people.
00:00:59.180 And yet you would have in the past Conservative Party leaders like Aaron O'Toole
00:01:03.120 bend over backwards to ask these stupid, skewed questions that these people put out.
00:01:08.600 They would walk up to Aaron O'Toole.
00:01:09.940 They could basically pour soup down the guy's pants and he'd apologize to them.
00:01:14.080 They would come up to Aaron O'Toole and say,
00:01:15.720 you said something bad.
00:01:17.200 Where's our apology?
00:01:18.240 And he'd get on his hands and knees and say, I'm so sorry for whatever I did, which you haven't even explained to me yet.
00:01:23.780 I will do better.
00:01:25.000 My entire career is terrible and hollow.
00:01:27.100 And I am utterly embarrassed to be a Conservative.
00:01:29.660 That's what the media's relationship with people like Aaron O'Toole were like.
00:01:33.840 And ever since pure Polyev became the leader, they are just beside themselves because Polyev does not capitulate.
00:01:41.360 He doesn't come down and just start crying and weeping every single time he's accused of doing something bad,
00:01:47.160 showing how just consummately mad at himself he is for doing that.
00:01:52.320 He doesn't do that because he hasn't done anything wrong.
00:01:54.420 And the legacy media questions are so often just predicated on nothing.
00:01:59.160 They are based on nothing.
00:02:00.400 You have not done anything wrong.
00:02:01.860 You have just annoyed the far left.
00:02:03.800 And so many legacy media journalists are either part of the far left or sympathetic to the far left
00:02:08.220 that they push for these stupid premises as if they're real.
00:02:12.120 One of the best instances outside the Apple video, which everyone knows,
00:02:15.800 was that way, way distant interview question where that lady at a PEI gas station was going on
00:02:22.240 about how pure Polyev is using the language of conspiracy theories,
00:02:25.880 very, very stridently asking him, well, do you condemn those in your party who play into conspiracies?
00:02:32.300 Well, you've been said that you play into conspiracy theories in the far right.
00:02:35.460 And the lady had nothing.
00:02:37.560 All Polyev had to do is just ask, what do you mean?
00:02:40.440 What far right conspiracy theories?
00:02:42.380 What aspect am I like the far right?
00:02:45.280 And they couldn't answer and they looked like fools.
00:02:47.440 And this sort of weird, confused befuddlement and frustration is how we get brilliant article headlines
00:02:54.340 from the National Newswatch like this.
00:02:56.880 Polyev's failure to condemn far right speaks volumes.
00:03:00.460 Extremism researchers.
00:03:02.500 Extremism researchers?
00:03:04.380 What do they have, a PhD in studying extremism?
00:03:07.560 It's silly.
00:03:08.160 I'm obviously not going to go through this article, but I still want to read the subhead.
00:03:11.680 It says, by not categorically rejecting any support from the far right group or Jones,
00:03:17.680 who he has called garbage conspiracy theorists, Polyev is telling Canadians that the kind of choices
00:03:22.620 he's making as leader, or telling Canadians about the kind of choices he's making as leader,
00:03:26.580 Trudeau said, no, no, you don't have to condemn every single group the media asks you to.
00:03:31.980 This is a stupid media game that they're going to come up with some random person you do not know,
00:03:37.580 you do not care about, and especially Canadians don't care about, and they want you to say
00:03:42.480 something about it.
00:03:43.360 Well, aren't you going to condemn Bob from accounting at Enron because he once shared a
00:03:48.480 spicy meme and he was taking a photo next to you?
00:03:51.180 What?
00:03:52.000 This is like gas leak kind of media coverage that we're now like basically having to condemn
00:03:57.960 people who reply underneath our tweets and social media posts.
00:04:02.420 What?
00:04:03.140 This isn't even a story.
00:04:04.540 Like the legacy media, it's incredible.
00:04:06.640 I actually encourage you, go watch The National from the CBC.
00:04:11.320 It's torture, yes, and I am basically telling you to go act as a masochist temporarily.
00:04:16.600 But a 45-minute broadcast of the CBC, The National, their headline flagship show, has no news in it.
00:04:24.680 It is incredible.
00:04:25.800 There's nothing going on in The National.
00:04:27.680 They report nothing.
00:04:28.980 There's no significant stories.
00:04:30.800 Whenever they talk about anything political, they have a panel of four idiots who get up,
00:04:34.720 who are basically either Liberal Party shills or the most progressive of progressive conservatives
00:04:39.820 who don't actually, basically they're conservatives in the sense that they're not conservative and they call themselves conservatives.
00:04:45.180 And so that's our political coverage.
00:04:47.260 I remember when I was watching some CBC, The National with Daniel in his apartment, Daniel Boardman, the other guy who does shows here for The National Telegraph.
00:04:55.000 It was incredible.
00:04:55.920 45 minutes.
00:04:56.580 They did the same story five times.
00:04:58.220 They have a $1.4 billion a year subsidy.
00:05:00.660 Plus, they also make money artificially on all the ads that they sell because they have to be on every single television cable package in Canada.
00:05:08.820 So naturally, they get a lot of artificial viewership.
00:05:11.420 So they end up like making, they have like a crazy big budget and they can somehow not even cover a rainstorm properly.
00:05:19.820 These people are actively just terrible at their jobs.
00:05:22.620 Like whenever someone gets a journalism degree and they go work at the legacy media, I almost in the back of my mind think, well, that person's given up.
00:05:29.520 Well, you're basically saying I could never make it on my own.
00:05:31.920 I could never be interesting enough if I just fired up a camera and talked about the news of the day.
00:05:36.400 I could never go out like some other independent media journalists do, pulling up a camera, filming, filming a little protest going on, filming press conferences, asking questions, doing mini documentaries.
00:05:45.560 He and Bextie, he's done a lot of these like small documentaries on no budget that are far more high quality than the CBC.
00:05:53.660 The MOCA, who used to work at the Rebel, is doing all these things on the Calistani crazies around Canada, filming them at their protests, filming things about nitrogen with like having to do with farmers and all the nitrogen regulations and how it's going to hurt farmers.
00:06:06.940 Doing all that with basically nothing and it's far better quality than the CBC who needs to send like five people and their massive cameras like they're like they're like whatever his name is.
00:06:17.500 I was about to name a director, couldn't do it like they're Michael Cimino or something like that.
00:06:20.880 I wanted to name a director who flopped hard.
00:06:23.100 They show up with their massive cameras to film like a two minute press conference and they have to have like five unionized employees there and they don't even get the story right.
00:06:32.120 These people are awful and now they're mad at Polyev because he doesn't take part in the game because that's all they have was the game, was the drama, high school drama kind of crappy coverage where look like we got Polyev or we got some leader to say that they did something wrong.
00:06:48.040 There was a stupid social media scandal and we're going to ask a bunch of people questions because we have a permanent camera set for parliament and we're going to force them to apologize for something that they have nothing to do with.
00:06:58.340 That is all they had left and now they have absolutely nothing.
00:07:01.100 And now for the next year and a half before the next federal election, they are going into begging mode, begging Canadians to try and vote liberal or MVP so that they can hold on to their subsidies.
00:07:11.440 Yes, they're not overtly begging, but they are effectively begging Canadians to not vote for the far right extremism loving pure Polyev because, you know, random reasons when the real reason is we have $1.4 billion we rely on here at the CBC or like other amounts of money.
00:07:28.200 If you're at other outlets like CTV and Global and, you know, the Globe and Mail, all these places, contemptible, contemptible.
00:07:35.460 That's all I can say.
00:07:37.140 Anyways, that's it for me.
00:07:38.800 I just want to quickly plug the fact that I, Wyatt Claypool, I'm running for the Calgary Signal Hill Conservative Party nomination.
00:07:45.560 This is the federal riding of Calgary Signal Hill.
00:07:47.780 If you live on the west side of Calgary, check if you live in this riding.
00:07:50.240 The boundaries just changed and this is what they look like.
00:07:53.280 Buy a membership, vote for me, number one year ballot, a federal Conservative Party membership, and check out my website in the description below, WyattClaypool.com.
00:08:00.780 And then you can also donate to the legal fund for the National Telegraph to help us fight back against this Chinese billionaire developer suing us for no reason.
00:08:08.600 After two years of this lawsuit going on, he still hasn't found a coherent reason as to how we defamed him and he has not provided any evidence.
00:08:15.780 He is simply using his money to try and bully people who he thought couldn't actually fight back.
00:08:20.940 We are fighting back, but you guys donating does help out, reduce the burden of costs on us.
00:08:26.500 And then also in the description, I have the Telegram channel for TNT.
00:08:30.000 If you want to click on that, join the channel so that you can get sort of the stream of consciousness posts of all the content we put up.
00:08:36.200 Because sometimes YouTube doesn't show you when we have new videos and other platforms that we do videos on you guys might not know about yet.
00:08:42.660 So we kind of post everything that TNT people are associated with.
00:08:47.100 So the Not On Record podcast, whenever I do podcasts with Chris, the Great Canadian Bagel podcast, all these videos and some other stuff that Daniel does for his own channel as well.
00:08:55.720 Anyways, that should be it for me today, guys.
